  My name is Megan with vigilante vibes and today I just ended the

  episode, the very first episode of the season 2 of Daredevil

  Born Again and I want to talk about it 'cause I have so many

  thoughts. First of all, that was a banger
• 0:25
  of an episode to start this season with like 3 seconds in,
• 0:29
  we have the full black Daredevil costume that is phenomenal and
• 0:34
  amazing and he looked incredible and the fight scenes were just
• 0:37
  fantastic. But more than that, in this
• 0:40
  episode we got so many different characters really giving it
• 0:44
  their all. We got Karen, which a lot of you
• 0:47
  know, I'm not a big fan of Karen, but Karen as a brunette
• 0:50
  was the look. So we have her.
• 0:53
  We have Bebe, who she knows Fisk killed her uncle and now she
• 0:59
  knows why he died because trying to save Karen.

  So that adds a lot of impact to everything she's going to do.

  I'm very nervous they're going to kill her off because wouldn't
• 1:08
  it be? So I don't know, I feel like
• 1:11
  it'd be very marvel to kill BB off with her fighting the same
• 1:15
  fight that killed her uncle. I feel like that could happen,
• 1:18
  but I also think Karen might die too, just mainly because of how
• 1:23
  happy Matt Murdock is with her. But what I didn't expect was a
• 1:28
  Muse cameo. That's crazy.

  And yeah, it's in Heather Glenn's head.

  I get that. But I didn't expect it to
• 1:36
  happen. It was just, it was very
• 1:39
  welcomed, if I must say. But Speaking of Heather Glenn,
• 1:44
  she's wildly different from in the season than she was in the
• 1:47
  first because of the PTSD she's going through from Muse, which
• 1:50
  is understandable. She's drinking now.
• 1:52
  She has somewhat of a temper, she is just on her shit.
• 1:58
  But if you guys don't know, in the comics Heather Glenn
• 2:03
  actually offs herself. Like trigger warning Matt
• 2:08
  Murdock walks into her hanging like she she's gone.

  She does it to herself, and I think that's what they're
• 2:14
  setting up here because she seems tormented by Muse.
• 2:18
  So that's where I think they're going to go.
• 2:20
  That's why I kind of don't think they're going to take out Karen,
• 2:22
  because I don't think they're going to take out two loves from
• 2:25
  Matt. I really don't.
• 2:27
  But besides all that, we also got Matthew Lillard as Mr.
• 2:32
  Charles. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I
• 2:34
  believe Mr. Charles was in the comics.

  He was a Roxanne employee. I want to say that if I'm wrong,
• 2:42
  please let me know. That would make sense because he
• 2:45
  is a complete mystery. But he is so compelling.
• 2:48
  He is diabolical. And I, I'm already obsessed with
• 2:52
  him and I'm almost rooting for him because I feel like he puts
• 2:57
  Kingpin very much on edge, which isn't easy to do because it's
• 3:01
  Kingpin. So it's like, what does Kingpin
• 3:03
  know? And who does Kingpin think he
• 3:05
  thinks he works for? I want to know all of that.
• 3:09
  But yeah, in this episode, everyone thinks Matt Murdock is
• 3:12
  dead or missing, and Daredevil is very much alive.
• 3:15
  So Matt kind of lives in the shadows.
• 3:18
  It's very, very comic coded because there was a point where
• 3:22
  he was working in the shadows. Like people thought he was gone,
• 3:25
  missing, dead. And now him and Karen are hiding
• 3:28
  out. They're creating diabolical
• 3:31
  plans to take Kingpin down any way they can.
• 3:33
  And they actually do do that when they take down the North
• 3:37
  Star ship boat. I'm not a boat expert, but yeah,
• 3:41
  they take that down, which was the title name, by the way.
• 3:44
  I really like that. And they ruined that whole
• 3:48
  shipment. And Kingpin calls it a
• 3:51
  terroristic act, which is so dramatic.
• 3:55
  So, so very dramatic, but so very Wilson Fisk.
• 3:59
  So Daredevil is alive and well, and Fisk knows it.
• 4:03
  And that's terrifying for everyone involved.
• 4:06
  So what happens Fisk, in his anti vigilante campaign, he
• 4:13
  creates the AVTF, the anti vigilante task force, and they
• 4:18
  go knocking on doors. They're kicking down, punching
• 4:22
  women. By the way, that was that was a
• 4:25
  lot. So Daredevil is out there
• 4:28
  fighting the good fight. When we get towards the end,
• 4:32
  they show up on Cherry's doorstep and Cherry knows what's
• 4:35
  about to happen. He already has his hands behind
• 4:37
  his head. He knows he knows what the deal
• 4:39
  is. So they go after Cherry and then
• 4:43
  Daredevil interrupts them and there is a big fight.
• 4:47
  All the while Cherry is slowly dying from a heart attack, which
• 4:50
  I don't think he's dead. I feel like the next episode is
• 4:52
  going to start with them in a hospital with him in a hospital.
• 4:55
  At least Matt Murdock's not showing up in a hospital.
• 4:57
  He's supposedly missing or dead, but while he is slowly dying,
• 5:03
  the task force is going after Daredevil and they finally get
• 5:06
  him. They almost shoot him and they
• 5:07
  take off his mask and they're like, Oh my God, it's Matt
• 5:10
  Murdock. And then as soon as that
• 5:12
  happens, a knife comes in and takes them all out.
• 5:14
  And I'm here to tell you, I think that is Bullseye because
• 5:17
  who else could do that? Also, the knife said you're
• 5:21
  welcome, isn't it? So Daredevil comic coded for him
• 5:26
  to show up just randomly in a Daredevil story.
• 5:30
  Bullseye does just like pop in and out wherever in the comics
• 5:34
  it like and he's not big on sharing attention.
• 5:38
  If many of you remember when Kingpin actually hired Elektra
• 5:43
  to do his bidding, he wanted in on that action.
• 5:46
  He did not want her to be the number one, the chosen child.
• 5:50
  So he went and offed Elektra and it's starting to feel like he's
• 5:55
  starting to feel left out. So I think that was Bullseye.
• 5:58
  I think he is back. And we know he's confirmed for
• 6:01
  the show. So like, he's going to come back
• 6:04
  in some way. It's just wild to me that he did
• 6:07
  it in a way that saved Matt Murdock's life.
• 6:10
  That was unexpected. But I am in I I'm here for that
• 6:14
  unhinged stuff. So.
• 6:17
  But yeah, this episode was a great, great first episode.

  Like, I feel like a lot of the things people were complaining
• 6:24
  about in the first season, all of that was dismissed in this
• 6:28
  episode. We got the action, we got the
• 6:30
  suit, we got to see these characters thrive.
• 6:32
  We get to see a whole bunch of stuff that does fit the Netflix
• 6:39
  Daredevil show. But the violence, the heightened
• 6:43
  emotions, the deepness of the story, there's so much going on
• 6:48
  and I am so, so here for it. I know some people are going to
• 6:52
  say, oh, but Jessica Jones wasn't in this episode.
• 6:54
  We have 7 episodes, you know, and I don't expect her to be in
• 6:56
  every episode. Next week is a 2 episode week,

  which is interesting, but it also is airs of the day before
• 7:06
  the new Daredevil number one from Marvel Comics comes out
• 7:10
  from Stephanie Phillips. So I'm interested to see if
• 7:13
  there's something there or they're just, it's just a really
• 7:16
  great coincidence because I'm really excited for that comic
• 7:20
  because I love Stephanie Phillips.
• 7:21
  She's amazing. So yeah, this was a really good,
• 7:24
  good episode. I really, really enjoyed it.

  So I know I'm forgetting a whole bunch of stuff it all.

  I just finished watching the episodes.

  So I'm just like super, super excited.
