- 0:30Speaker 2: It is time you believe your worries outside and laugh
- 0:33Speaker 2: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with
- 0:37Speaker 2: Trey Trendholm. Sorry, I'm just laughing at this headline. It's
- 0:46Speaker 2: gotten me for two days. A man with dementia hit
- 0:50Speaker 2: a one point two million dollar jackpot after mistaking a
- 0:55Speaker 2: slot machine for a vending machine while trying to get
- 0:58Speaker 2: a doctor Pepper. I can't tell if this is a
- 1:05Speaker 2: great story or a terrible story, because on one hand, he
- 1:10Speaker 2: won one point two million dollars. On the other, he
- 1:13Speaker 2: may not remember it. He may not know it after
- 1:17Speaker 2: ten minutes. He might be really angry that he didn't
- 1:20Speaker 2: get the doctor Pepper. Tear up this pet.
- 1:26Speaker 1: He might pay someone one point two million to go
- 1:29Speaker 1: get him a doctor pepper.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, Also one point two million dollars will buy
- 1:37Speaker 2: you lots of doctor peppers. Oh man. It's a man
- 1:44Speaker 2: in his seventies accidentally won a one point two million
- 1:48Speaker 2: dollar slot machine jackpot after mistaking the casino game for
- 1:51Speaker 2: a vending machine. Believing that casino offered snacks and drinks,
- 1:55Speaker 2: He unknowingly placed a bet, verified the win, contacted authorities
- 2:02Speaker 2: and his caretaker, and the casino honored the payout, sparking
- 2:07Speaker 2: viral debate over luck, ethics, and confused fortune worldwide online.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I don't really understand the viral debate on this as
- 2:20Speaker 2: far as luck and ethics. Are people thinking that as
- 2:24Speaker 2: a casino they shouldn't have honored the poll because he
- 2:28Speaker 2: thought it was a vending machine and instead of a
- 2:31Speaker 2: doctor pepper he won one point two million dollars. I
- 2:34Speaker 2: think ethically he hit the machine, buttoned and won. You
- 2:37Speaker 2: got to pay the man, right, There's no ethical question there.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I mean the ethical question I would have is why,
- 2:44Speaker 1: as a man with dementia at a casino.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Well, I mean, what's your security, Like? Did he just
- 2:49Speaker 2: wander in off the street. It's possible because I've gone
- 2:53Speaker 2: to a lot of these smaller reservation tribal casinos, and
- 2:57Speaker 2: it's not like they give you a whole lot of
- 2:59Speaker 2: scrutiny when you in.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I mean, no, they're not getting unless you're under age,
- 3:08Speaker 1: they're not gonna say a thing to you. But it
- 3:12Speaker 1: does sound odd that, you know, he's wandering around a
- 3:16Speaker 1: casino thinking a slot machine is a Doctor Pepper or
- 3:21Speaker 1: a soda machine.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I mean, that's good and to be fair, I mean,
- 3:31Speaker 2: was it a Doctor Pepper slot machine? I mean, there's
- 3:35Speaker 2: so many brands that have slot machines, and if you
- 3:37Speaker 2: haven't been to a casino, you may not even know it.
- 3:41Speaker 2: One of the ones we're very well aware of is
- 3:46Speaker 2: from back in the day, from our radio days. Jethrow
- 3:49Speaker 2: from the Beverly Hillbillies was the guy that ran all
- 3:55Speaker 2: the slot machine stuff for the Beverly Hillbillies, right, Trey.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he had gotten a license for it, so, and
- 4:02Speaker 1: that was a big line of slot machines at one point.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean a lot of those pinball machines. I've
- 4:09Speaker 2: also seen some really random pinball machines. There's there's so
- 4:13Speaker 2: where I live on the Island of Saint Thomas in
- 4:15Speaker 2: the US, Virgin Islands. There's a sports bar here called
- 4:19Speaker 2: Whiskey Business and it has a It has a metallica
- 4:23Speaker 2: pinball machine. No idea how it got here. I don't
- 4:28Speaker 2: know if they ordered it specifically and it was here,
- 4:30Speaker 2: or they found it on the side of the road
- 4:32Speaker 2: somewhere and dusted it off and plugged it in and
- 4:34Speaker 2: by god it works. But there are some random pinball
- 4:37Speaker 2: slash slot machines out there. My wife Tara loves slot machines,
- 4:43Speaker 2: and I think one of her all time favorites was
- 4:45Speaker 2: the Sex and the City slot machine. Love that one.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Just like Samantha, its wide open. I want to say.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I read a story that BUCkies is going to open
- 5:00Speaker 1: a hotel casino somewhere.
- 5:03Speaker 2: That actually makes a lot of sense. Not just the
- 5:06Speaker 2: hotel casino thing, you know, right next to slash behind
- 5:10Speaker 2: a BUCkies outpost, but just putting a BUCkies gaming center
- 5:15Speaker 2: in some of those gas stations is a phenomenal idea.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I mean, they already have everything else, They already got
- 5:22Speaker 2: wonderful treats and snacks and barbecue and drinks and bathrooms.
- 5:26Speaker 2: But I mean, why not throw three or four hundred
- 5:31Speaker 2: dollars in a slot machine? While you wait on Granny
- 5:33Speaker 2: to finish in the clean bathroom before you re hit
- 5:36Speaker 2: the road.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I don't understand the obsession with BUCkies. I don't get it.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Have you been yes. Have you had the beaver nuggets?
- 5:47Speaker 2: No?
- 5:48Speaker 3: I can't. I can't say it without laughing.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Have you had the jerky?
- 5:54Speaker 3: No?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Have you had a barbecue sanwich? Yeah?
- 5:59Speaker 3: I have the sliced sausage sandwich wants and it was
- 6:06Speaker 3: mediocre at best.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I can't speak to the quality of the sliced sausage,
- 6:10Speaker 2: but I can speak to the quality of the beaver nuggets,
- 6:13Speaker 2: the jerky, the little country store in the corner where
- 6:16Speaker 2: you can find some really random things while the rest
- 6:20Speaker 2: of the family goes te tea or poo poo. Clean bathrooms,
- 6:24Speaker 2: the clean bathroom, and lots of them is a massive
- 6:29Speaker 2: deal because BUCkies started coming on strong when the running
- 6:35Speaker 2: joke was you don't want to use the rest stops
- 6:39Speaker 2: on interstates because they're already full with people not going
- 6:42Speaker 2: to the bathroom. They're doing other things, so you don't
- 6:46Speaker 2: want to use that. So instead you go the extra
- 6:48Speaker 2: twenty miles and you hit a BUCkies where it's good
- 6:50Speaker 2: and clean and safe and it's bright and you don't
- 6:52Speaker 2: have to worry about toe tapping weirdos next to you
- 6:55Speaker 2: wanting more than just a you know, a shred of
- 6:57Speaker 2: toilet paper. But because of I don't know if you
- 7:01Speaker 2: guys have noticed this, Because of BUCkies and it's expansion
- 7:04Speaker 2: and how popular it is, the roadside rest areas are
- 7:08Speaker 2: actually pretty nice these days. They're not bad. Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, and everyone's trying to copy BUCkies and what
- 7:14Speaker 1: they're building now.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't have a logo these days with buck
- 7:19Speaker 2: teeth without BUCkies suing you for it.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Well, and it's amazing that, you know, BUCkies was the
- 7:25Speaker 1: lone one outside of Houston for twenty plus years and
- 7:29Speaker 1: they didn't want to expand or anything else, and then
- 7:32Speaker 1: damn now they're all over all over the South.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I know that the BUCkies damn broke. It's kind of
- 7:41Speaker 2: like how the original McDonald's situation unfurled. The guys that
- 7:45Speaker 2: had the original McDonald's didn't want to necessarily do anything
- 7:48Speaker 2: big or they had, and then eventually they were talked
- 7:50Speaker 2: into it and it expanded like crazy. Not granted, that
- 7:53Speaker 2: story ended very sad because they got screwed out of it.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I don't know what the BUCkies corporate story is, but
- 7:59Speaker 2: they have maintained their model throughout its entirety of expansion,
- 8:02Speaker 2: which is they're not putting a BUCkies, you know, in
- 8:05Speaker 2: a downtown area. They're keeping it on the outskirts of
- 8:09Speaker 2: metropolitan areas and on interstates to be that beacon that
- 8:14Speaker 2: people like, who I need to go there and not
- 8:16Speaker 2: just use the bathroom. But then they started throwing up
- 8:18Speaker 2: all the other stuff inside, like the treats and food
- 8:22Speaker 2: and clothing.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I mean like there's you know, t shirts and blankets
- 8:26Speaker 3: and the little stuffed beaver or whatever it is. And
- 8:31Speaker 3: my ex had a friend it what state he's in,
- 8:36Speaker 3: but he's like, if you go to a Buckets, can
- 8:38Speaker 3: you get me all this year?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:40Speaker 3: And I'm gonna come to Texas and or they're doing
- 8:42Speaker 3: a convention or whatever. She's like, when you get here,
- 8:45Speaker 3: can you just give that to me? Fascinated by all
- 8:47Speaker 3: of it, Like he wanted the shirt, he wanted the blanket,
- 8:49Speaker 3: he wanted the slippers, And I'm like, I don't understand
- 8:52Speaker 3: the fascination with this.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That part of it is kind of weird to me
- 8:56Speaker 2: as well. I will say from like a marketing or
- 8:59Speaker 2: a branding, stamp point. It's it's a hell of a
- 9:01Speaker 2: thing to accomplish to have your mascot be damn near
- 9:07Speaker 2: on par with Mickey Mouse and Disney. And like you're saying, Raj,
- 9:12Speaker 2: you got people that want the trinkets, they want the stickers,
- 9:15Speaker 2: they want the they want the BUCkies beaver stuff, they
- 9:18Speaker 2: want the sticker on their yetty tumblers and things. It
- 9:21Speaker 2: really is amazing and it all it is is a
- 9:23Speaker 2: clean place to take a dump. That's how it started.
- 9:28Speaker 2: There's a clean place to take a dump, and it's
- 9:30Speaker 2: blown up, sorry for the punt into what it is today.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it's amazing. I mean, it's amazing, what you know.
- 9:37Speaker 3: And I I first found it out about it from
- 9:40Speaker 3: an old girlfriend who that's where she would stop every
- 9:43Speaker 3: single time when she was on her way up from
- 9:46Speaker 3: Austin to come visit me.
- 9:49Speaker 2: She would always stop at BUCkies.
- 9:50Speaker 3: And I didn't know it was a thing, Like I
- 9:52Speaker 3: didn't know because she was the one that said, like,
- 9:55Speaker 3: there's this The bathrooms are the cleanest in you know,
- 9:59Speaker 3: out of any of the.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Gas stations like or truck stops or whatever.
- 10:05Speaker 3: It is, like that's where she would stop on purpose
- 10:08Speaker 3: every single time she was coming up and that was amazing.
- 10:11Speaker 2: And Charles like yeah, yeah, and Trey and you said
- 10:15Speaker 2: that you think that you've read that BUCkies has said
- 10:17Speaker 2: they want to do this or is it more rumor
- 10:19Speaker 2: based that BUCkies wants to expand into hotel casinos.
- 10:27Speaker 1: No, I'm pretty sure it's it's a twenty five million
- 10:32Speaker 1: dollar casino. I want to say it was somewhere and
- 10:36Speaker 1: it was either oak like Oklahoma or Mississippi.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, it doesn't really have the gambling thing yet,
- 10:44Speaker 2: but if anyone can push it through, it might be BUCkies.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But I mean, at the it's a brilliant idea. It
- 10:55Speaker 1: just I don't even know about the hotel, but I
- 10:57Speaker 1: have a casino attached to it because people come in
- 11:00Speaker 1: there and they're like, yeah, spend some splots, spin some slots.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Again, go ahead.
- 11:09Speaker 3: I was gonna say, if they do have a hotel,
- 11:11Speaker 3: do they come into your room every few hours and
- 11:14Speaker 3: clean your bathroom as they do at the truck stop? Maybe?
- 11:23Speaker 2: Or they don't even give you a bathroom in the room.
- 11:25Speaker 2: You have to go down into the actual space to
- 11:27Speaker 2: use it. Then you go back to your room. Smart. Yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 2: but it's hard to believe that this whole conversation started
- 11:33Speaker 2: with a seventy something dementia man going into a casino
- 11:36Speaker 2: thinking he was pulling a vending machine to get doctor
- 11:38Speaker 2: pepper and instead walked away with one point two million dollars.
- 11:42Speaker 2: And I'm still stuck over the viral debate over luck
- 11:44Speaker 2: ethics and confused fortune. I you contact the caretaker. I
- 11:51Speaker 2: think what part of the story that I saw was
- 11:53Speaker 2: that here it is he believed the casino offered snacks
- 11:58Speaker 2: and drinks any unknowingly place to bet. So I don't
- 12:01Speaker 2: know if he was just wandering into the casino because
- 12:04Speaker 2: he wanted something to eat or drink, or if he
- 12:06Speaker 2: was already in the casino gambling and was looking for
- 12:09Speaker 2: the vending machine and just found a slot machine instead
- 12:12Speaker 2: that looked like one. Either way, he pulls and wins
- 12:15Speaker 2: a million dollars, which is great because hopefully that money
- 12:18Speaker 2: can go for his care or his care taker. Yeah,
- 12:25Speaker 2: that's fascinating.
- 12:28Speaker 3: I've seen it, you know, because I you know, performing
- 12:30Speaker 3: casinos a lot, and I've seen it, like they'll you know,
- 12:33Speaker 3: people come in all the time for various reasons. You
- 12:36Speaker 3: have like people that are like on math that come
- 12:37Speaker 3: in and and try to, you know, put in a
- 12:40Speaker 3: couple of bucks to see if they can get some.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Money to go get more meth. Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 3: So it's I don't know if it's the same kind
- 12:46Speaker 3: of situation, but they win, and you know, the casino
- 12:49Speaker 3: still gives them money even though they're visibly on drugs.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah. So, And to be fair, you could have dementia
- 12:57Speaker 2: and be sat at a slot machine and right in
- 13:00Speaker 2: with everyone else, just mindlessly slapping on the re bet
- 13:07Speaker 2: button on those machines because after a while you really
- 13:10Speaker 2: just kind of tune out, right, You just hit the button,
- 13:13Speaker 2: hit the button, hit the button, hit the button. That's
- 13:15Speaker 2: why the slot machine thing has never been that appealing
- 13:18Speaker 2: when I go to a casino because it just seems
- 13:20Speaker 2: like I'm just hitting a button. It doesn't seem any
- 13:21Speaker 2: actual skill for it.
- 13:24Speaker 1: You know.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not like you have to understand like the
- 13:28Speaker 3: you know, the logic or the science behind like you know,
- 13:31Speaker 3: blackjack or Texas hold them stuff.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Like that, you know. Yeah, because at anytime I look at
- 13:36Speaker 2: the lines on the slot machine, when you can be
- 13:38Speaker 2: like okay, if I bet five lines or ten lines
- 13:41Speaker 2: or seventy two lines, none of the lines ever make
- 13:44Speaker 2: sense because sometimes when I when I'm playing a slot
- 13:46Speaker 2: and then something comes up where it looks like I
- 13:48Speaker 2: should get something out of it, I get nothing. Yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 2: I'm like, but there's there's four golden koi right there.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Why am I not getting what I don't under Meanwhile,
- 13:59Speaker 2: next my wife is cleaning up at the section in
- 14:02Speaker 2: the city slot machine, just pounding on. Samantha, I just
- 14:08Speaker 2: got some weird sideeye in the treehouse business online at

- 16:28Speaker 2: the website, cook dfw dot com. Back inside the Treehouse,
- 16:33Speaker 2: I'm Dan along with Trey and Raj. I want to
- 16:38Speaker 2: preface this by saying I know exactly what I'm getting
- 16:41Speaker 2: into by telling you guys this. Okay, So a couple
- 16:47Speaker 2: of weeks ago, I got my first facial. Oh oh,
- 16:54Speaker 2: what was the name? Keep it anonymous. Just sit right
- 17:04Speaker 2: here in the couck chair. No, no, uh, what's her name? Laura?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Laura Squatter. Again, I knew exactly what I was getting
- 17:20Speaker 2: into by bringing this up. She's transitioning. So my wife, Ash,
- 17:30Speaker 2: we we we have this massage therapist we're big fans
- 17:34Speaker 2: of and she's also I guess, an esthetician. And Tara's
- 17:37Speaker 2: gotten the facial thing done after a massage and she
- 17:41Speaker 2: would come back and be like, oh my god, that's
- 17:43Speaker 2: so great, and she really wanted me to try it,
- 17:45Speaker 2: and I was like, well, okay, uh so so my
- 17:48Speaker 2: wife signed me up for my first facial and I'm
- 17:53Speaker 2: I'm I'm not the big I liked it, but then
- 17:56Speaker 2: it also hurt. You got have you guys have had
- 18:00Speaker 2: a facial Yeah, I just didn't know why it hurt.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Did you did you get a mask done or did
- 18:07Speaker 3: they like eyebrow threading or something like that.
- 18:11Speaker 2: No, I think that's a whole separate package.
- 18:13Speaker 1: This is just dumping you on the forehead with it.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It kind of felt like that at one point. It
- 18:19Speaker 2: was more of a scraping because part of the process
- 18:23Speaker 2: is blackhead extraction and I have some. I guess I
- 18:29Speaker 2: had some, and she got after it with something that
- 18:32Speaker 2: felt like a drimble but not turned on. So it
- 18:39Speaker 2: just felt like scraping as and I could have occasionally
- 18:42Speaker 2: feel like a little like a little of something like.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I knew what she was doing, but I didn't expect
- 18:48Speaker 2: it to hurt like it did. I didn't realize how
- 18:51Speaker 2: big of a baby I am when it comes to
- 18:53Speaker 2: things being run across my face. I said, I knew
- 18:56Speaker 2: it as soon as I said it.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Now, I know why you like Bucky so much.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I don't even know what to say. Sometimes she's flocked up.
- 19:14Speaker 2: He's like, there's too much. Yeah, it did, man, it hurt. Look,
- 19:22Speaker 2: I fully admit that there are certain parts of my
- 19:24Speaker 2: body that cannot tolerate pain or any sort of resistance,
- 19:29Speaker 2: like the like I am a tenderfoot, okay, the bottom
- 19:34Speaker 2: of my feet, or like baby feet. I cannot walk
- 19:36Speaker 2: anywhere barefoot. I remember growing up because growing up in
- 19:40Speaker 2: rural Oklahoma, our driveway was limestone gravel, right, and I
- 19:45Speaker 2: remember my sister could walk on that for days. She
- 19:48Speaker 2: could run on it if she wanted. To me, if
- 19:51Speaker 2: the bottom of my foot got near a pebble, just
- 19:54Speaker 2: fall over and die. That's not gonna happen. I can't
- 19:56Speaker 2: do it. If we go to a beach where there's
- 19:58Speaker 2: like just something that's not fully sand, if there's one
- 20:01Speaker 2: tiny little pebble or something, my foot will find it
- 20:04Speaker 2: and it will drop me to my knees. I have
- 20:06Speaker 2: the I have the most asinine baby feet. It's actually annoying,
- 20:11Speaker 2: but I can't help it. They're very sensitive. Can't do it.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Same with uh, Like anything near my face, Like if
- 20:20Speaker 2: something's going towards my eye freaks me out. If something
- 20:22Speaker 2: goes in my ear freaks me out. But yeah, so
- 20:25Speaker 2: when it comes, Yeah.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Does your wife call you a pussy or does she
- 20:29Speaker 1: just mutter it under her pa.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I was gonna say the same thing. I can't believe
- 20:33Speaker 2: that I was gonna say me exactly well, after getting
- 20:36Speaker 2: my first facial, she stopped just short of calling me
- 20:38Speaker 2: a pussy, but she did basically say She's like because
- 20:41Speaker 2: she asked how was it, and I was like, well,
- 20:42Speaker 2: it kind of hurt, and she's like, well, how long
- 20:44Speaker 2: did that part last. I'm like, well, just like a
- 20:46Speaker 2: couple of minutes. She's like, see, but the rest was great, right, Well, yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 2: but that part hurt, and she did. She stopped just
- 20:52Speaker 2: short of calling me a pussy, but I know she
- 20:54Speaker 2: felt it in her heart. Do your massage is not hurt?
- 20:59Speaker 3: No?
- 20:59Speaker 2: Those doing I love it. I need to be hurt
- 21:02Speaker 2: in a massage. She's not a facial, not a facial.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I need you to be gentle because we did the
- 21:11Speaker 2: massage first, then the facial, right, so I want you
- 21:14Speaker 2: to get in there hard on the massage, but on
- 21:18Speaker 2: the facial I was new. I needed to be treated
- 21:20Speaker 2: with kid gloves. I needed to be more gentle, and
- 21:23Speaker 2: instead she busted out the scraper and just went to town
- 21:26Speaker 2: on my nose and stuff, and it hurt. And at
- 21:29Speaker 2: one point, as she is scraping down the side of
- 21:32Speaker 2: my nose, removing god knows what of years of build
- 21:36Speaker 2: up in there. A single tear falls out of the
- 21:40Speaker 2: corner of my eye and it's dark in there, so
- 21:43Speaker 2: I don't even know if she sees it or just
- 21:45Speaker 2: flat out didn't care. She saw it, was like, man,
- 21:48Speaker 2: it just digs in harder. Really, Terror's next to me
- 21:57Speaker 2: here in the studio, And she said, because Terror came
- 22:00Speaker 2: in after me. She said, no, she told me that
- 22:02Speaker 2: she made you cry. Great, so she noticed, so she
- 22:05Speaker 2: noticed it. I can never I can never go back
- 22:10Speaker 2: to her now. And she knew it, and she didn't stop.
- 22:14Speaker 2: She saw the tear and was like, ah, she got motivated.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah she was. I'm sure calling you a pussy too. Yeah,
- 22:21Speaker 2: that's all say.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But what I've what I've gotten from this is some
- 22:25Speaker 1: days you like backshots and sometimes you want to gener.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I hate the fact that you're not technically wrong. It's
- 22:36Speaker 2: just a matter of the definitions there. But yeah, So
- 22:39Speaker 2: because Trey, I know that you're on record like you
- 22:42Speaker 2: have a skincare regimen. We're all middle aged guys. Now.
- 22:44Speaker 2: It hurts to say it, but it's true. And I'm
- 22:47Speaker 2: not big on skincare kind of a thing. I just
- 22:49Speaker 2: kind of just whatever trade you've got, like a thing
- 22:53Speaker 2: that you do, and it actually killed the daty years
- 22:55Speaker 2: one time because you She's like, I don't want I
- 22:58Speaker 2: think you had said that you have a moisture regiment
- 23:00Speaker 2: and that turned the date off or whatever. Yeah, but
- 23:03Speaker 2: let's be honest. You're fifty one years old and you
- 23:05Speaker 2: look like you're you know, thirty five forty, so it's
- 23:07Speaker 2: working for you, so good job. Have you ever done
- 23:11Speaker 2: the facial m have you gotten the nose scraping with
- 23:16Speaker 2: the blackhead stuff something like it? Yeah, on the sides
- 23:20Speaker 2: of it's like on the sides of my nose, and
- 23:22Speaker 2: it didn't hurt. I mean, it wasn't.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Pleasurable per se, but I didn't cry like a bitch.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Okay, Trey, I don't think it's fair to say cry
- 23:35Speaker 2: like a bitch because the bitches could tolerate it. It's
- 23:41Speaker 2: it's this guy that has the tender feet and the
- 23:44Speaker 2: sensitive nose that can't handle too much trauma on it.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Otherwise a tear rolls out of the corner of his eye.
- 23:50Speaker 2: And now I'm talking about myself in the third person.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Unbelievable, right, You know, when people meet you, like they'll
- 23:59Speaker 3: see like, you're very fit.
- 24:00Speaker 2: You're very you know, you go to the gym, you
- 24:03Speaker 2: work out, so does Tray.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Yeah, but nobody would guess that you would cry from
- 24:10Speaker 3: a blockhead removal.
- 24:12Speaker 2: It hurts, it really really hurt. Look, I was surprised too,
- 24:18Speaker 2: And the worst thing is is like I hear I
- 24:20Speaker 2: have like this, what what little shred of masculinity I
- 24:23Speaker 2: have left? In that moment, I couldn't tap out. But
- 24:28Speaker 2: believe me, the thought crossed my mind.
- 24:32Speaker 3: You would have literally okay, if it would have kept
- 24:35Speaker 3: going on any longer, I would have been like I
- 24:38Speaker 3: would have tapped her.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I would have like, put me again. I know, the
- 24:40Speaker 2: same thing as being in like a rear naked choke.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I gotta tap myself out. I'm done. I can't do this.
- 24:46Speaker 2: How often have you been in a rear naked choke?
- 24:48Speaker 2: Only once? I'm just telling you. If it depends on
- 24:59Speaker 2: the per maybe, But if you want to have a
- 25:02Speaker 2: UFC fight, because remember back in the good old days
- 25:04Speaker 2: of the octagon and the like, the early they always
- 25:08Speaker 2: had like the interesting different styles of martial arts going
- 25:10Speaker 2: up against each other. It was like, Okay, here's the
- 25:13Speaker 2: taekwondo guy going up against the movie Tie. Here's a
- 25:18Speaker 2: kickbox We can get back to that in the next UFC.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Dana White needs to have, you know, a kickboxer going
- 25:27Speaker 2: up against an esthetician with a blackhead removal tool and
- 25:31Speaker 2: if she gets if she gets on top of him,
- 25:33Speaker 2: it's over. I know what the title of this show
- 25:39Speaker 2: is going to be? What's that? Some days Dan feels
- 25:42Speaker 2: like a nut. I don't know if my head has
- 25:52Speaker 2: ever hung lower in shame, except for maybe during that facial.

- 26:58Speaker 2: I look, I already knew that women when they go
- 27:00Speaker 2: through certain beauty procedures, that some of them come with
- 27:05Speaker 2: a fair amount of pain and discomfort, but I really
- 27:08Speaker 2: was not prepared for that level, like around my nose,
- 27:11Speaker 2: and like I said, I know I have tender feet.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I didn't realize how tender of a nose I had
- 27:16Speaker 2: until that moment. So it's kind of like in Forty
- 27:21Speaker 2: year Old Virgin when they get Steve Carroll on the
- 27:23Speaker 2: table and then wax his chest. Man, that's that's nothing,
- 27:32Speaker 2: I mean versus especially because we've done some really crazy
- 27:37Speaker 2: stuff back on our radio days, and getting waxed that
- 27:40Speaker 2: was nothing. You get an epilady after some of your
- 27:44Speaker 2: chest hair, Now that's a scene that would have amped
- 27:47Speaker 2: up the forty year Old Virgin ray. Have you ever
- 27:49Speaker 2: seen an epilady up close? Yes? Try and you have, right,
- 27:54Speaker 2: I mean yes, yeah, So I mean the epilady like
- 27:57Speaker 2: when you look at the actual gizmos in there, because
- 27:59Speaker 2: it's the shaver, right, and I was surprised that they
- 28:04Speaker 2: still make these things. Have you ever seen I think
- 28:07Speaker 2: it was in Final Destination three or five whatever it is,
- 28:11Speaker 2: the one where the escalator chews up some girl. That's
- 28:16Speaker 2: what that's what an epilady looks like. When you take
- 28:19Speaker 2: the little cover off of an escalator and you see
- 28:21Speaker 2: the gears underneath with all the stairs rotating and everything.
- 28:24Speaker 2: That's what an epilady looks like. It is. It is
- 28:27Speaker 2: something straight up torture and it rips and pulls the
- 28:31Speaker 2: hairs out. So I can't even fathom, like some of
- 28:34Speaker 2: the links to which women will go to just to
- 28:38Speaker 2: make themselves quote unquote pretty waxing the epilady's stuff. There's
- 28:46Speaker 2: something else that's I'm drawing a blank on like another
- 28:50Speaker 2: region wax. I just that's a whole other thing. I
- 28:52Speaker 2: can't even think of. Brazilian lefts. Yeah, I mean that's
- 28:56Speaker 2: that's that's I mean, that's in there. Oh, the when
- 29:00Speaker 2: they wax like inside the nose. We did that to
- 29:04Speaker 2: Jerry once.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I've I've pulled a nose hair. So I can't even
- 29:13Speaker 1: fathom what waxing.
- 29:14Speaker 2: It feels like. They they remember the girl that we
- 29:18Speaker 2: brought in to do it. She's like, do you want
- 29:19Speaker 2: to do it? I'm like, get your away from me. No,
- 29:21Speaker 2: I ain't gonna happen. No, definitely not. I mean I
- 29:25Speaker 2: would sooner go toe to toe with Michael Myers and
- 29:27Speaker 2: a chef's knife than I would a skilled esthetician with
- 29:32Speaker 2: a nostril waxing thing. Yeah, I've never had that done.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I've seen it.
- 29:38Speaker 3: I've seen a lot of the like uh like tiktoks
- 29:41Speaker 3: and stuff like that where people are doing it and
- 29:43Speaker 3: it looks horrific.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so just keep that in mind the next time,
- 29:50Speaker 2: like Trey or Raj, if your ladies go and do
- 29:53Speaker 2: something like that, just tell them you appreciate it. Yeah.
- 29:59Speaker 3: But I mean, I have you ever had your eyebrows threaded?
- 30:04Speaker 2: God? No, try that. No, I don't want to. You should.
- 30:08Speaker 2: I don't need eyebrow threading. If anything, as a middle
- 30:11Speaker 2: aged man, I got too much eyebrow. I'm trying to.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I'm trying to. I'm trying to not become an andy
- 30:17Speaker 2: rooney eyebrow project.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's something that's why they thread it.
- 30:21Speaker 2: They get the.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Little small hairs out that you know that that kind
- 30:28Speaker 3: of overgrow, Yeah underneath, I'll pull those.
- 30:31Speaker 2: If I get a flyaway that's trying to crawl up
- 30:33Speaker 2: my forehead, I'll gang that. But like Trey is saying,
- 30:36Speaker 2: there's two types of nose hair. So like when Trey
- 30:38Speaker 2: said he accidentally pulled the nose hair once and can't
- 30:40Speaker 2: even fathom doing the waxing, right, Yeah, Trey, I'm willing
- 30:44Speaker 2: to bet that the nosehair you yanked was near the tip,
- 30:47Speaker 2: like towards the front of your nostril, and not one
- 30:50Speaker 2: of the big ones higher up. I'm because not all
- 30:56Speaker 2: nose hairs are created equal. Because if you get one
- 30:59Speaker 2: of the long ones that they're thicker and they're kind
- 31:01Speaker 2: of hanging down from more mid nose, I'll pull that.
- 31:05Speaker 2: But the ones that are near the tip of the nose,
- 31:09Speaker 2: that'll that'll bring that's that'll bring a grown man to
- 31:12Speaker 2: his knees every time.
- 31:13Speaker 1: No, it was, I mean, I pulled it and and
- 31:19Speaker 1: the reaction was like I teared up because I mean,
- 31:24Speaker 1: and it wouldn't.
- 31:25Speaker 2: That it hurt that bad.
- 31:25Speaker 1: It was just one of those involuntary reactions of uh so, yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where it's like, if you like, if one's
- 31:34Speaker 2: hanging down and you gotta get it, like give it
- 31:36Speaker 2: like just a slight pull to see where it's originating from.
- 31:40Speaker 2: If it's from the tip, you got to leave it
- 31:42Speaker 2: or you know, trim it. You can't pull that one.
- 31:45Speaker 2: But if it's from higher up the nose, you can
- 31:47Speaker 2: yank that.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I just make sure there's none sticking snicking out, sticking out,
- 31:52Speaker 1: But yeah, you brought up something that I have I
- 31:55Speaker 1: have pondered for a while now, because inevitably, as you
- 32:01Speaker 1: get older, for some reason, you're effing eyebrows just start
- 32:05Speaker 1: going haywire.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and I have to take like, I have.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Some trimmers, and I take a comb and I'll, like,
- 32:11Speaker 1: you know, every other week, trim them just.
- 32:14Speaker 2: So they you know.
- 32:15Speaker 1: But then you look at like old men even in
- 32:18Speaker 1: movies and things, and why can't they trim their fucking eyebrows?
- 32:24Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe they did, well, it's just like like by
- 32:28Speaker 2: the middle of the day, they've just regrown.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Do you just is it just one of those things
- 32:33Speaker 1: you get to a point in life and you're like,
- 32:34Speaker 1: fuck it, I don't care.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yes, I think that's exactly what it is. It happened
- 32:38Speaker 2: with Andy Rooney, and it happens with lots of old men.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Eventually you just get tired of trying to weed eat
- 32:44Speaker 2: your eyebrows and you just say, I give up, I
- 32:47Speaker 2: don't care, and you let them do what they're gonna do,
- 32:49Speaker 2: and you just make your day about living instead of
- 32:52Speaker 2: trying to trim back the overgrowth.
- 32:55Speaker 1: They're actors, like they have people that will do that
- 32:58Speaker 1: stuff for them.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's true. I mean that's hair and makeup.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I mean yeah, they must have to. They have to
- 33:06Speaker 3: be asked that you want us to trim this and
- 33:08Speaker 3: then say no, yeah, And you know what.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Maybe maybe that's part of the character or something. Like
- 33:13Speaker 2: right now, all those all the doomsday teasers are happening,
- 33:17Speaker 2: the Avengers doomsday teasers, and there's the one that came
- 33:20Speaker 2: out with the X Men, and it's got you know,
- 33:23Speaker 2: doctor Xavier along with Magneto and they're like playing chess
- 33:27Speaker 2: and then they like, you know, hold each other's arm
- 33:30Speaker 2: and you see Magneto looking really disheveled and looks like
- 33:33Speaker 2: he didn't term those eyebrows recently. But maybe that's all
- 33:36Speaker 2: part of the look. Could be.
- 33:40Speaker 3: This is when I this is when I knew it
- 33:42Speaker 3: was getting that that I gotten old is the first
- 33:46Speaker 3: time the same way he's been cutting my hair since
- 33:48Speaker 3: I was twenty six years old. I am now fifty,
- 33:52Speaker 3: and I remember when I wanted to get a haircut.
- 33:54Speaker 2: She took the the.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Shaver to my ear mm hmm, and I was like,
- 34:02Speaker 3: what are you doing. She's like, oh, I'm just getting
- 34:04Speaker 3: all the ear hair off, and I was like, oh,
- 34:07Speaker 3: son of a bitch.
- 34:08Speaker 2: That's a day, and that's a day my dad never
- 34:11Speaker 2: prepared me for. He helped me shave the first time,
- 34:15Speaker 2: and that was eventually needed. He gave me the talk
- 34:17Speaker 2: about you're wearing too much drug cart in the war,
- 34:20Speaker 2: but he never told me about later in life. There's
- 34:23Speaker 2: gonna be some other maintenance issues that you need to
- 34:25Speaker 2: know about. Eyebrow hair and ear hair. When they come in,
- 34:30Speaker 2: it's going to affect you. It's kind of like getting
- 34:32Speaker 2: your first white beauty or chest air.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I just that's something I think it a couple of
- 34:40Speaker 1: years ago. It started and I was like I was
- 34:45Speaker 1: scratching my ear or something. All of a sudden, I
- 34:47Speaker 1: was like, pulled one out. I'm like, damn. And then
- 34:52Speaker 1: you know, now it's like if I don't trim my
- 34:56Speaker 1: ears once a week, there's yeah, wild crap going grown out.
- 35:01Speaker 2: You're expecting the predator to show up and start hunting
- 35:03Speaker 2: in there. Yeah, those are the moments that you don't
- 35:10Speaker 2: realize that are coming eventually for us all if you
- 35:12Speaker 2: make it that far. And maybe that's something we should
- 35:14Speaker 2: be appreciative of, is that we've all reached an age
- 35:17Speaker 2: that we're old enough now to where we have to
- 35:19Speaker 2: worry about trimming our goddamn ear hair. Yeah, and not
- 35:22Speaker 2: and not just the stuff on the edge, but like
- 35:24Speaker 2: in the canal, I don't have that yet.
- 35:29Speaker 3: I haven't gotten the ear inside, like the hair inside
- 35:32Speaker 3: the ear, I haven't had those yet. But I do
- 35:35Speaker 3: get the on the outside.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Uh. And I still.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Remember his wife would be in the we'd be in
- 35:43Speaker 3: the elevator going up to our uh, our apartment in
- 35:47Speaker 3: LA and she would just pull up. Oh, I can't
- 35:50Speaker 3: believe you missed it. She got such a kick. Yeah.
- 35:56Speaker 2: If you're a single guy, yeah, if you're a single guy,
- 35:59Speaker 2: now you guys say or new relationships now, so this
- 36:01Speaker 2: doesn't matter for you as much. But if you're a
- 36:04Speaker 2: single guy and you're older and you're starting to get
- 36:06Speaker 2: the ear here and you don't want to be worried
- 36:09Speaker 2: about being self conscious about certain things, this is what
- 36:12Speaker 2: you have to do on a date. If it's outside,
- 36:15Speaker 2: make sure you face the sun. One, it's polite to
- 36:19Speaker 2: put your eyes in the sunlight. That's kind of chivalrous, right.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Two that means you can wear sunglasses and look around
- 36:25Speaker 2: if they're mirrored lenses. Three, you don't want to have
- 36:30Speaker 2: the sun behind your head, because then whatever hairs you
- 36:35Speaker 2: have missed on your ears will then stand out. So
- 36:41Speaker 2: if you're doing like you're gonna meet someone at Starbucks
- 36:43Speaker 2: or a coffee and you're sitting outside, don't don't have
- 36:47Speaker 2: her face the sun, otherwise the sun will illuminate all
- 36:50Speaker 2: the hairs on your body that you missed, which is
- 36:55Speaker 2: very odd advice. Well, I mean you may have missed one.
- 36:59Speaker 2: I'm just thinking maybe it was improbably true. First dates
- 37:03Speaker 2: do you go on, Well, I haven't been on one
- 37:09Speaker 2: since two thousand and nine, so there's some random thoughts
- 37:13Speaker 2: that occasionally crossed my mind, is all I'm saying. Yeah,
- 37:18Speaker 2: someone might appreciate that. Okay.
- 37:21Speaker 3: I make sure that like, you know, the eyebrowser trimmed,
- 37:23Speaker 3: and then the side, you know, the ear hairs are done. Like,
- 37:26Speaker 3: I make sure all that's taken care of, like on
- 37:29Speaker 3: a regular basis, because it does grow bad and I
- 37:33Speaker 3: don't even know how it happens, but it'll be like
- 37:34Speaker 3: overnight and then there's one hair that is like an
- 37:39Speaker 3: inch and a half long.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Nowhere. Yeah, like, what is this miracle? Girl? How did
- 37:46Speaker 2: this happen? Overnight?
- 37:47Speaker 1: I have a I have a a a single hair
- 37:50Speaker 1: that pops up like overnight and it's long.
- 37:53Speaker 2: It's over two inches, like out of the back of
- 37:55Speaker 2: my ear lobe. Oh wow, that's weird.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Yeah, there's time I was like, well, there's a hair
- 38:04Speaker 1: hanging down. I was like, I tugged on it, and
- 38:07Speaker 1: it's like, oh, it's attached to something.
