- 0:36Speaker 1: that we broke the theater's record for concession sales that
- 0:39Speaker 1: was previously held by Rob Schneider, which translates to them
- 0:43Speaker 1: saying the audience bought a hell of a lot of beer,

- 3:57Speaker 1: That's cowboy country. Steve had his way Our company would
- 4:02Speaker 1: not be in Bozeman, it would be in Miles City, Montana.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Really that's been that's been a couple of years there.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I loved it. Yeah, but they'll probably be a I
- 4:10Speaker 1: don't know, a revolt or some sort. Just a bunch
- 4:13Speaker 1: of half employees sounded double. Yeah, they take off what
- 4:20Speaker 1: they call us sixer plates, sixers, sixers sixers, they run
- 4:24Speaker 1: us all out. Okay, So have you heard his play
- 4:27Speaker 1: two trees in a Lie before podcast? Okay, so old
- 4:30Speaker 1: your mike up, nice and clothes. Okay, yeah, you got it,
- 4:33Speaker 1: you can. We've learned has a quick timper. So yeah,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I want to apologize if he freaks out. You're gonna
- 4:43Speaker 1: hear three of us tell three stories about famous um
- 4:49Speaker 1: historical figures from around the West Um of the less

- 4:56Speaker 1: those stories is not true, which one is the lie?
- 4:59Speaker 1: Seasoning tell his story, Spencer is gonna tell a story,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and I'm gonna tell a story. There's some fun facts
- 5:04Speaker 1: about these folks, and you're gonna tell us which one
- 5:06Speaker 1: is a life. I'm lucky for you. After we're all done,
- 5:09Speaker 1: you're gonna we're gonna allow you to use the crowd
- 5:12Speaker 1: to help you figure out which one is is live.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I want to point out there's an honor system to play.
- 5:18Speaker 1: No vesting round and you gotta self police. You gotta
- 5:20Speaker 1: rat your neighbor's out. No vesting round on phones during
- 5:25Speaker 1: this looking anything up. That's gonna sorry, Steve, it's gonna
- 5:31Speaker 1: kick us off, Miranda. Everyone knows that Brigadier General George
- 5:38Speaker 1: Armstrong Custard died in eighteen seventy six, fifty four miles
- 5:44Speaker 1: from where we're sitting right now in the Alberta Beart Theater.
- 5:48Speaker 1: They also know that just three years earlier before his death,
- 5:53Speaker 1: three miles west of the Alberta Beart Theater, at a
- 5:56Speaker 1: place known to local Native Americans as the place where
- 6:01Speaker 1: the Mountain Lion lies, known to many of us now
- 6:05Speaker 1: as Pompey's Pillar, Custer's troops got into a shootout with
- 6:09Speaker 1: Sioue warriors while scouting the route of the railroad it
- 6:13Speaker 1: still runs through this town and run through your native hometown.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And they know this. They know. There's some debate about
- 6:22Speaker 1: whether the Sioux and Cheyenne warriors at the Battle of
- 6:26Speaker 1: a Little Big Horn recognized Custer's dead body on the
- 6:29Speaker 1: battlefield though a Cheyenne woman did later admit to using
- 6:34Speaker 1: a sewing all to puncture holes into his ear drums
- 6:39Speaker 1: so that in death he would better hear the warnings
- 6:43Speaker 1: of her people. And they know that Custer lost two
- 6:49Speaker 1: brothers alongside himself at that battle, including a brother that
- 6:54Speaker 1: had twice been decorated with the Congressional Medal of Honor.
- 7:00Speaker 1: But what they don't know about Custer is that General
- 7:03Speaker 1: Custer was not recognized on the battlefield because his long
- 7:09Speaker 1: golden hair had been shorn off before leaving on the
- 7:13Speaker 1: Little Big Horn campaign, and when he died, he was
- 7:18Speaker 1: not known by his hair. But his wife, Lippy Custer,
- 7:22Speaker 1: later took the hair that he had cut off and
- 7:25Speaker 1: had a wig made, and she would wear that wig
- 7:30Speaker 1: at theatrical productions. How you feeling, You think you even
- 7:41Speaker 1: need to listen to the to the other two? You
- 7:43Speaker 1: can just you can just make your decision right now.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'll hand you on that the other two. Okay, Jet Smith?
- 7:52Speaker 1: You ever heard of him? Jettisize Smith? All right? Well?
- 7:56Speaker 1: Most know that at the age of thirteen, he worked
- 7:58Speaker 1: as a clerk on a eerie freighter where he met
- 8:02Speaker 1: fur traders. Returning to Montreal, thus fueling is fired to
- 8:05Speaker 1: become an explorer. Every knows that he was the first
- 8:08Speaker 1: year American across the Mojave Desert and the first year
- 8:11Speaker 1: American to go overland to California. And they know that
- 8:14Speaker 1: Jed Smith was attacked by a grizzly bear, had his
- 8:16Speaker 1: scalp ripped off, and his buddy sewed it back on,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and for the rest of his life because of that,
- 8:22Speaker 1: he wore his hair long to hide that scar that
- 8:24Speaker 1: he had basically from his eye all the way back
- 8:27Speaker 1: to his ear. Every knows after his death his effects
- 8:32Speaker 1: showed up in tows like his journal and his knife,
- 8:36Speaker 1: but almost nobody knows that his skull supposedly turned up
- 8:41Speaker 1: in a curio shop on Montana Avenue in Billings, the
- 8:46Speaker 1: not completely clean skull. It was identified by the scar
- 8:50Speaker 1: and the long hair. An unknown cowboy bought the skull
- 8:53Speaker 1: and it was never seen again. Now this one's true.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Everyone knows that big knows George was one of the
- 9:08Speaker 1: west most notorious cattle rustlers. Now, he was kind of
- 9:11Speaker 1: your run in the mill Horsey, but his crimes went
- 9:15Speaker 1: from petty to felony. When he was having a train
- 9:19Speaker 1: robbery in Wyoming that was bungled and he ended up
- 9:22Speaker 1: killing two police officers. After that, George had a twenty
- 9:26Speaker 1: dollar bounty on his head, so he fled up to
- 9:29Speaker 1: your hometown, Miles City, Montana to hide out. And everyone
- 9:33Speaker 1: knows that George was supposed to be laying low while
- 9:36Speaker 1: he was in Montana, but he couldn't help himself. While
- 9:39Speaker 1: he was here. He ended up robbing another caravan and
- 9:42Speaker 1: got away with another ten thousand dollars by the Powder River.
- 9:47Speaker 1: At this point, George was feeling cocky, and one night
- 9:51Speaker 1: he got drunker than Ryan Callahan at a saloon in
- 9:53Speaker 1: Miles City, and he was bragging about killing those police officers.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And now he had this big old bounty on his
- 9:59Speaker 1: head and he's robbed all these trains and whatnot, And naturally,
- 10:03Speaker 1: it didn't take long for law enforcement to show up,
- 10:06Speaker 1: arrest him, and send him back down to Wyoming. And
- 10:10Speaker 1: everyone knows that after that George was lynched for his crimes.
- 10:15Speaker 1: But the legend of Big Knowledge George doesn't end there,
- 10:18Speaker 1: because what people don't know is that some local doctors
- 10:21Speaker 1: took possession of his body so that they could study
- 10:24Speaker 1: his brain and see what just made him so damn
- 10:27Speaker 1: evil When they were done with their observations, they took
- 10:30Speaker 1: his carcass and made a bunch of souvenirs out of it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Here's what they had. This included an ash tray made
- 10:36Speaker 1: from his skull, a mask made from his face, a
- 10:39Speaker 1: medicine bag made from his chest skin including his nipples,
- 10:43Speaker 1: and a pair of boots made from his thigh skin
- 10:46Speaker 1: that were once worn by Wyoming's governor to a ball. Now,
- 10:51Speaker 1: if you want to see him for yourself, you can
- 10:52Speaker 1: go find him at some museums in Wyoming and Nebraska
- 10:56Speaker 1: and a hunter and fifty years later, it's worth asking
- 10:57Speaker 1: yourself who was really the evil one? Was it Big
- 11:00Speaker 1: Knows George for being a lifelong criminal, or was it
- 11:03Speaker 1: the doctors who taxidermied his body and turned him into
- 11:07Speaker 1: grotesque trinkets. So if that's not if that is false,
- 11:14Speaker 1: then I think that I'm concerned a little bit about
- 11:16Speaker 1: Spencer's imagination. That's not true. I don't want to ride
- 11:21Speaker 1: home with that. We did just need a skunk today. Man,
- 11:26Speaker 1: Do you feel like you know the answer? I think so?
- 11:30Speaker 1: Are you going to consult with the crowd or yeah,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I'll consult with the crowd. Oh h So you gotta
- 11:42Speaker 1: do that. Okay, the lie is bigger than that was wrong?
- 11:51Speaker 1: All right? Crack who thinks that Steve's story was the lie?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Who thinks him my story was the lie? And Spencer's
- 12:10Speaker 1: seems are helping. You don't know, they're not. Um, I
- 12:19Speaker 1: don't know. I honestly think it's your story, but I
- 12:23Speaker 1: don't it's true. That's how I feel like it's a
- 12:27Speaker 1: lie that's going to go. George is true? Are you
- 12:34Speaker 1: really everything about big dolls? George's true? I'm sorry, that's
- 12:37Speaker 1: all right. It's true. So you got to let to
- 12:40Speaker 1: choose from which one was the least believable out of
- 12:44Speaker 1: these two. True, that's the true. I guess was the
- 12:53Speaker 1: wig Libby Custer's wig made of George Custer's hair was
- 12:57Speaker 1: lost in the theater fire, So yours was the lie? No,
- 13:03Speaker 1: it was. She wore it for theatrical productions. It was
- 13:06Speaker 1: lost in the theater fire, and a Northern Cheyenne woman
- 13:11Speaker 1: took a sewing all sold it in the future when
- 13:17Speaker 1: they said, don't mess with us, you'd be better able
- 13:20Speaker 1: to listen. And Jed Smith was never recovered. They don't
- 13:24Speaker 1: know what happened to him, but playing you get to
- 13:30Speaker 1: get to first light. So thank you, thank you, you got.
- 13:38Speaker 1: It's gonna work with the thing you're with, the thing
- 13:40Speaker 1: you're with, the thing you're winning, and everything else that
- 13:42Speaker 1: that people are gonna win to night. You gotta come
- 13:44Speaker 1: after the show. Chess is gonna do an outro song.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Come down here after the show and you'll we'll get
- 13:48Speaker 1: you all squared away right over here. Hey, if it thanks,
- 13:50Speaker 1: you feel better. I was here when they were discussing
- 13:52Speaker 1: all this and I had no idea who was telling
- 13:53Speaker 1: the truth in a line? And thank you. Okay, Now,
- 14:10Speaker 1: clare you ready to to to lay this out? Who's
- 14:12Speaker 1: gonna lay this next thing up? Yeah? I was gonna say,
- 14:15Speaker 1: now on to trivia. Now for tonight's game of trivia,
- 14:20Speaker 1: we're going to have someone from the audience to join
- 14:23Speaker 1: us to decide who's gonna come up here. We're gonna
- 14:26Speaker 1: have an owl hoop contest that Clay Newcomb is gonna
- 14:29Speaker 1: jew to take it away. Clay, Yeah, okay, So we're
- 14:33Speaker 1: playing trivia. We need two people, and those two people,

- 19:35Speaker 1: from you guys the audience. So I'm going to read
- 19:38Speaker 1: the question. The mediator crew is going to write down
- 19:40Speaker 1: their answers. Once they're done, the audience is going to
- 19:43Speaker 1: yell out their answers for Isaac. But I need the
- 19:46Speaker 1: audience to wait for their cue, so they're not helping
- 19:48Speaker 1: out Brody and Steve. Sound good. It's basically us against
- 19:54Speaker 1: Brodie and Steve. Bang us, all of us. We're on

- 20:20Speaker 1: The first question the topic is hunting. I need you
- 20:24Speaker 1: to place these in order of biggest to smallest based
- 20:28Speaker 1: on their population in Montana. Elk, mule, deer, white tail,
- 20:34Speaker 1: and Turkey again play season order of biggest to smallest
- 20:40Speaker 1: based on their population in Montana. We have elk, mule, deer,

- 21:14Speaker 1: Change right are you doing already? That's authority listing with authority.
- 21:24Speaker 1: It doesn't mean him. All right, our media crew, you

- 21:44Speaker 1: Media crew, put down your markers. No more answering now, audience,
- 21:48Speaker 1: we need you to help out. What do you think
- 21:50Speaker 1: has the biggest popular? But you can you can sold
- 21:53Speaker 1: the audience. So they're saying, all right, and what do
- 21:59Speaker 1: you think is second? Biggest? Elk? A lot of answers
- 22:04Speaker 1: out there, all right? Third biggest? I heard a lot
- 22:09Speaker 1: of elk on that one. And fourth biggest? What is
- 22:12Speaker 1: the smallest? So I think the consensus there was elk
- 22:18Speaker 1: third in Turkey? Fourth is that? Is that? What you
