- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven to tenor boy, the Mark Simung Show starts.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Now, Hey, we'll get to the election, your very best
- 0:10Speaker 2: election coverage right here. We'll get to Dick Cheney, We'll
- 0:13Speaker 2: get to Christmas, We'll get to Nancy Pelosi and a
- 0:17Speaker 2: lot of flack today. We got lots to get to today,
- 0:20Speaker 2: but we'll start with the election. Voting began this morning.
- 0:23Speaker 2: This is election Day. You got to get out and
- 0:25Speaker 2: vote today. It's Election day to day, six am until
- 0:29Speaker 2: nine pm here in New York. In the first three hours,
- 0:33Speaker 2: six to nine, we've already got the figures in over
- 0:36Speaker 2: two hundred thousand people voted. That's huge. That's enormous turnout.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Two hundred thousand in just the first three hours. That
- 0:43Speaker 2: means we're going to get well over a million today.
- 0:46Speaker 2: That means the total, with the early voting added in,
- 0:49Speaker 2: will be well over two million, unprecedented for a non
- 0:53Speaker 2: presidential year. We could set an all time record, or
- 0:57Speaker 2: we could be the second biggest turnout. Biggest was nineteen
- 1:01Speaker 2: sixty nine. Two and a half million voted that day.
- 1:04Speaker 2: That was a John Lindsay reelection race, and it was
- 1:08Speaker 2: kind of a similar thing. Lindsey very popular when he
- 1:11Speaker 2: ran the first time, could not get the nomination from
- 1:14Speaker 2: the party again, so he ran as an independent and
- 1:18Speaker 2: won that way. So but that was through enormous turnout.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So we've got that today. Now, if you're looking for
- 1:24Speaker 2: a prediction, don't don't listen to anybody predicting anything today.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Nobody knows that anything. It's impossible to predict anything today.
- 1:34Speaker 2: This is an unusual election. We haven't had one decent
- 1:37Speaker 2: poll in this whole election. It's all these little polsters,
- 1:41Speaker 2: these junk polls, these media polls, these college polls that
- 1:44Speaker 2: are not very good polls. They're very, very cheap to do,
- 1:48Speaker 2: they don't involve a lot of people. They are cheap,
- 1:51Speaker 2: crummy poles. Now, the one yesterday the day before Atlas,
- 1:55Speaker 2: that's not a bad polling company, but it showed Cuomo
- 1:59Speaker 2: winning by many points. Well, if you look in the
- 2:03Speaker 2: metrics in that poll, it became a junk poll. The
- 2:06Speaker 2: metrics were preposterous. They oversampled Republicans like crazy, they oversampled
- 2:12Speaker 2: independence like crazy, undersampled Democrats. I don't know why they
- 2:16Speaker 2: did that. Usually when they rigged the pole, it's the
- 2:19Speaker 2: opposite way. But this one was rigged just insanely I
- 2:23Speaker 2: mean it just throw out that pole, don't even listen
- 2:26Speaker 2: to it. So we've not had any serious polling at
- 2:29Speaker 2: any time in this election. And the other thing is,
- 2:32Speaker 2: even with polling, they used models, and the turnout is
- 2:36Speaker 2: so high, so many times more than normal, that the
- 2:41Speaker 2: model they used wouldn't apply here. So the modeling wouldn't
- 2:44Speaker 2: apply to this race. So we don't know anything. I know,
- 2:48Speaker 2: most of these poles show Mondowney the comfortable lead, so
- 2:51Speaker 2: maybe that's a bit of a trend. But again, the massive,
- 2:55Speaker 2: massive turnout five times normal totally destroys the models that
- 2:59Speaker 2: were used in those polls. Last night, about five five
- 3:03Speaker 2: point thirty, President Trump came out and endorsed Andrew Cuomo
- 3:07Speaker 2: big endorsement, told everybody he wants them to vote for
- 3:10Speaker 2: Andrew Cuomo. Now, Trump has been pushing Cuomo all along.
- 3:15Speaker 2: He hates Cuomo. He'll tell you privately how horrible Cuomo is,
- 3:18Speaker 2: what a bad guy Cuomo is. He just thinks it's
- 3:21Speaker 2: the only way to stop Mom Donnie, and Trump just can't.
- 3:25Speaker 2: He just totally turned off to Curtis. That's it. That
- 3:29Speaker 2: feud's been going on for twenty years. It's not getting settled.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But here's the problem. He's now officially endorsed Cuomo and
- 3:39Speaker 2: trying to calculate is that how it must help a little,
- 3:42Speaker 2: But does it hurt? Is going to take votes away
- 3:45Speaker 2: from Cuomo? It's possible at will now picture those angry,
- 3:49Speaker 2: angry Democrats, the real Trump haters. You know, there are
- 3:52Speaker 2: always little old ladies. They're all old people with the
- 3:54Speaker 2: signs at the protest, the big, big, big Trump haters,
- 3:59Speaker 2: and there's seng ones too. But if Trump says I
- 4:03Speaker 2: want you to vote for Cuomo, that could stop many
- 4:07Speaker 2: of them from voting for Cuomo. Their Trump hatred exceeds
- 4:11Speaker 2: everything else. Everything is second place to their Trump hatred.
- 4:15Speaker 2: So if Trump is telling them to vote for Cuomo,
- 4:18Speaker 2: some people think it might stop a lot of them
- 4:21Speaker 2: from voting for Cuomo. So I don't know if that
- 4:23Speaker 2: endorsement helps or hurts. We'll find out. Here's Trump yesterday.
- 4:26Speaker 3: It's going to be hard for me as they're.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Talking about if mom Donnie wins. You know, the city
- 4:32Speaker 2: depends a lot on federal funding, So if mon Donnie wins.
- 4:35Speaker 3: It's going to be hard for me as the president
- 4:38Speaker 3: to give a lot of money to New York because
- 4:42Speaker 3: if you have a communist running New York. All you're
- 4:45Speaker 3: doing is wasting the money you're sending there. So I
- 4:48Speaker 3: don't know that he's one, and I'm not a fan
- 4:50Speaker 3: of Cuomo one way or the other. But if it's
- 4:51Speaker 3: going to be between a bad Democrat and a communist,
- 4:56Speaker 3: I'm going to pick that bad Democrat all the time.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, how did we end up like this? How
- 5:01Speaker 2: did we end up with a guy who was a
- 5:03Speaker 2: terrible governor who did awful things to New York, A
- 5:06Speaker 2: really bad Democrat that's our choice this or a communist
- 5:10Speaker 2: crazy socialist? How do we end up with that choice? Well,
- 5:13Speaker 2: you gotta blame Cuomo for screwing up so badly in
- 5:16Speaker 2: the primary. You know, in that primary began, nobody ever
- 5:19Speaker 2: heard of Zora on Mam Donnie. He was at zero
- 5:22Speaker 2: in the polls, and then Cuomo came along and he
- 5:25Speaker 2: scared Eric Adams out of the primary, scared everybody else out,
- 5:30Speaker 2: talking about his name recognition, the millions that he had raised.
- 5:33Speaker 2: He scared everybody else out. So we were stuck with
- 5:36Speaker 2: Cuomo trying to stop Mom Donnie. And Cuomo was a
- 5:38Speaker 2: disaster in both debates, and it was perfect for Mam Donni.
- 5:43Speaker 2: He just was able to use Cuomo as a punching
- 5:45Speaker 2: bag right on. Camray just wiped him out. And with
- 5:48Speaker 2: those two debates he rose up and eventually just totally
- 5:51Speaker 2: wiped out Cuomo in the primary. That's how we got
- 5:54Speaker 2: stuck with this. Now, Curtis's problem. Everybody loves Curtis. I
- 5:59Speaker 2: know you're supposed to keep chanting he can't win. But
- 6:01Speaker 2: he can't win. There's no way he can't win. You're
- 6:03Speaker 2: supposed to keep repeating that. You're told to repeat that.
- 6:06Speaker 2: That's if everybody had said that voting for me, you
- 6:09Speaker 2: went in a landslide. But you have been told to
- 6:11Speaker 2: keep repeating that phrase. Curtis can't win. But Curtis's real
- 6:15Speaker 2: problem is the Republican Party is pretty much nonexistent in
- 6:19Speaker 2: New York City. It's a tiny little thing. The Democratic
- 6:23Speaker 2: Party in New York is a massive machine with big infrastructure,
- 6:27Speaker 2: with armies and armies of people. You want to run
- 6:31Speaker 2: a campaign, that Democratic machine gets behind you. You've got
- 6:34Speaker 2: an incredible organization. Republican Party. It's like three people working
- 6:39Speaker 2: from home. There's nothing there in this Republican Party. Nothing.
- 6:44Speaker 2: The Democrats, you know, they're all out in the street.
- 6:46Speaker 2: They're all running the ground game. They're knocking on doors,
- 6:49Speaker 2: they're all working at polls. The Republican Party does. All
- 6:52Speaker 2: it really is is a bunch of those clubs, you
- 6:54Speaker 2: know the blank This Republican Club, that Republican club, and
- 6:58Speaker 2: it's a bunch of old ladies who try to get
- 7:00Speaker 2: a guest speaker every week. And it's usually, you know,
- 7:03Speaker 2: somebody from Fox or Brian kill Meat is the guest speaker.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And then all they do in these Republican clubs is
- 7:09Speaker 2: chase the guy around the room, trying to take selfies
- 7:12Speaker 2: with him. That's the Republican Party in New York. That's
- 7:15Speaker 2: all they do. Every night. They get some guest speaker,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and then they all corner the game. Do you remember me? No? Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 2: you do? You remember you met me?
- 7:23Speaker 4: No?
- 7:23Speaker 2: I don't remember. How are you? And then we got
- 7:28Speaker 2: to get a Republican party in New York. There's no party,
- 7:31Speaker 2: there's no machine, there's nobody to help a candidate, there's
- 7:34Speaker 2: no bench, there's nothing going on. So if mom Donnie wins,
- 7:40Speaker 2: what does that do to the Democrats? Do they? You know,
- 7:43Speaker 2: the promise of he wins. We don't know if he
- 7:44Speaker 2: will win, but if he does, that becomes the model
- 7:49Speaker 2: for the rest of the country, you know, and then
- 7:51Speaker 2: supposedly Soros and company have another twenty six mom Donnie's
- 7:55Speaker 2: ready to launch them in other cities. Carl Rove talking
- 7:59Speaker 2: about the future of the Demo.
- 8:00Speaker 5: I's been perpetually angry since December, since November of last year,
- 8:04Speaker 5: and they are angry at Trump, but they really ought
- 8:07Speaker 5: to be as angry about themselves because they are so
- 8:10Speaker 5: focused on being against him that they can't figure out
- 8:13Speaker 5: what they're for. And as a result, the Democratic Party
- 8:16Speaker 5: is now held in lower esteem than it has in
- 8:20Speaker 5: some forty some odd years.
- 8:21Speaker 2: And now the problem is they're so angry, these young
- 8:26Speaker 2: kids that want to go communists, these old ladies who
- 8:28Speaker 2: hate Trump, They're so angry that they can't think straight.
- 8:33Speaker 2: So when a guy shows up and yells about affordable housing,
- 8:36Speaker 2: they just go with it. They don't bother to ask
- 8:39Speaker 2: what affordable housing where? How much? Where are you going
- 8:41Speaker 2: to pay for it? And you got to also blame
- 8:44Speaker 2: the totally now totally corrupt news media for not questioning Mamdanie.
- 8:49Speaker 2: He gets these light, fluffy, softball interviews. He's on Morning
- 8:52Speaker 2: Joe this Morning and just asking them general little questions.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Is if you had real, real media, if this were
- 8:58Speaker 2: the good old days before the media went up, they'd
- 9:01Speaker 2: make him sit down and explain everything that exactly where
- 9:04Speaker 2: weld you build this housing? How much will it cost,
- 9:06Speaker 2: how will you pay for it? How are you gonna
- 9:07Speaker 2: raise taxes? You're not the legislature, all that kind of stuff.
- 9:11Speaker 2: So he got through this election without any real questioning.
- 9:14Speaker 2: It was just awful, just terrible that he was able
- 9:17Speaker 2: to do that again. And Cuomo was a terrible candidate,
- 9:21Speaker 2: you know, with a bunch of cliches and nonsense.
- 9:24Speaker 4: New Yorkers want change. I can bring the change and
- 9:28Speaker 4: make the change. And that's what they know. You feel
- 9:32Speaker 4: it all across the city and we're gonna win.
- 9:35Speaker 2: We're gonna win.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Tomorrow, and we're gonna make a.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Better city than ever before. Yeah. So this argument, if
- 9:41Speaker 2: you want change, I could see, if you want change,
- 9:43Speaker 2: you go for the young, crazy socialists that's changed. But
- 9:46Speaker 2: to go with the old timer from years ago, who
- 9:48Speaker 2: was a bad governor who had to leave and who
- 9:50Speaker 2: had to quit and disgrace and leave, and I don't
- 9:54Speaker 2: know if it'd call that change. The other problem Cuomo
- 9:55Speaker 2: had he did a lot of horrible things, from the
- 9:58Speaker 2: nursing homes to the no bail to the closing the prisons,
- 10:01Speaker 2: letting all the prisoners. He never apologized for that. He
- 10:04Speaker 2: never if in the beginning in the debate he's not
- 10:08Speaker 2: the type of guy that can open up and just
- 10:10Speaker 2: speak from the heart. It's not him. But if he
- 10:13Speaker 2: had done that in the debate or somewhere one big
- 10:15Speaker 2: speech explaining everything, it might have been different.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Curtis Sliwa today, this final day of campaigning, is dedicated
- 10:25Speaker 6: to a victim who represents all victims a violent crime
- 10:29Speaker 6: in New York City who have been forgotten.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yeah, crime should be the biggest issue. And if crime
- 10:35Speaker 2: is the issue, Curtis is your guy. I'm not telling
- 10:39Speaker 2: you who to vote for. You got to decide that.
- 10:40Speaker 2: And I'm not telling you who's going to win. It's
- 10:42Speaker 2: impossible to tell at this point. Here's Mom Donnie yesterday.
- 10:45Speaker 7: We are just steps away from City Hall.
- 10:48Speaker 2: All right, now, that's the most frightening statement of all.
- 10:51Speaker 7: We are just steps away from City Hall, the heart
- 10:57Speaker 7: of our city government, and a building New Yorkers should
- 11:01Speaker 7: be able to look to for greatness and imagination, but
- 11:06Speaker 7: have come to expect only small ideas and scandal. The
- 11:11Speaker 7: last time I spoke at a Sunrise press conference was
- 11:15Speaker 7: on the morning of June twenty fourth, when our movement
- 11:18Speaker 7: felt ascendant but certainly not inevitable.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, Mam Donnie woke up early and went to vote.
- 11:25Speaker 2: He voted this morning at his local polling place. The
- 11:28Speaker 2: local polling place in his district was located in Frank
- 11:33Speaker 2: Sinatra High School, though it's the Frank Sinatra High School
- 11:37Speaker 2: of Performing Arts. That's a horrible thing that Sinatra's name
- 11:40Speaker 2: is now associated with Mom Donnie. I know he's rolling
- 11:44Speaker 2: over in his grave at the thought of that. But
- 11:46Speaker 2: here's more of a Mom Donnie this morning.
- 11:48Speaker 8: And I think what President Trump's remarks show us last
- 11:51Speaker 8: night is what many of us have long known and feared,
- 11:55Speaker 8: which is that when you are too busy cashing the
- 11:57Speaker 8: checks of the billionaire donors who gave us this second
- 12:00Speaker 8: term of this president, you will not be able to
- 12:02Speaker 8: stand up to that same president.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a big thing with them, those billionaire donors,
- 12:07Speaker 2: those billionaire donors. They're talking about those Wall Street now
- 12:10Speaker 2: billionaire donors. Meantime, he's totally funded by billionaire donors all
- 12:14Speaker 2: the George Soros types. There's a whole bunch of these
- 12:17Speaker 2: left wing sorrows, kook billionaire donors behind them. So again,
- 12:22Speaker 2: the media totally corrupt. They've never asked them about this,
- 12:25Speaker 2: They've never questioned them about it. Here's Curtis again.
- 12:28Speaker 6: Men have died in battle for the right to vote
- 12:31Speaker 6: and for our right that we unfortunately don't often take
- 12:34Speaker 6: advantage of free speech.
- 12:36Speaker 2: So vote, vote, vote, even if you don't vote for me. Yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 2: get out there and vote. Hey, the other thing in Manhattan,
- 12:42Speaker 2: Get out there and vote for DA. Get rid of
- 12:45Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg voting Maud Maren, she's the Republican. She's a
- 12:49Speaker 2: DA who will actually start putting people in jail. Vote
- 12:52Speaker 2: for her, Maud Maron and again, the whole city council
- 12:54Speaker 2: is up for reelection. Throw the whole city council out
- 12:57Speaker 2: and switch to the other side. Get rid of all
- 12:59Speaker 2: the crazy left wing loons and get them out of there.
- 13:03Speaker 2: That if you want to protect and defend against Mom Donnie,
- 13:05Speaker 2: that's the way you do it. City council they have
- 13:09Speaker 2: as much power, maybe more power, than the mayor. So
- 13:11Speaker 2: switch the city council away from these left wing cooks.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Can you can do it today. Here's now in New Jersey.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I can't tell you what's gonna happen there either it's
- 13:19Speaker 2: absolutely dead luck. They could go either way. Here's Trump
- 13:23Speaker 2: on Mikey Cheryl. Mikey Cheryl. The only thing she's got
- 13:26Speaker 2: going is it's a very unusual name. I've never heard
- 13:28Speaker 2: of the name Mikey for a woman, but maybe this
- 13:32Speaker 2: shall be the list. Well, that's a good point. Her
- 13:34Speaker 2: name is Mikey, and she can fly a helicopter. She's
- 13:36Speaker 2: run a million commercials about being able to fly a helicopter.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I don't know what that has to do with anything.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I've never seen any Sunday Morning show where they ask
- 13:45Speaker 2: the candidate, can you fly a helicopter? It's never been
- 13:48Speaker 2: an issue. But when you got nothing else, that's her issue.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Here's is this Cheryl?
- 13:53Speaker 7: Here here, make sure your neighbors and your friends and
- 13:56Speaker 7: your frenemies get out to vote.
- 13:57Speaker 1: It's all about to turn out tomorrow.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Want change turn it out? Yeah, so we'll see, we'll
- 14:03Speaker 2: see anything could happen anything. Who knows anything could happen tomorrow.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Let's see, no one will see got well, here's mom, Donny.
- 14:15Speaker 2: He's of course trying to you know, the idea that
- 14:18Speaker 2: Trump endorsed Cuomo, he's going to use that against him
- 14:22Speaker 2: all day.
- 14:22Speaker 1: The MAGA movements embrace of Andrew Cuomo is reflective of
- 14:27Speaker 1: Donald Trump's understanding that this would be the best mayor
- 14:30Speaker 1: for him, not the best mayor for New York City.
- 14:35Speaker 2: All right, Well, we'll talk about the election throughout the program.
- 14:38Speaker 2: We'll keep you up the speed on everything. Again, anything
- 14:43Speaker 2: could happen. The polls close tonight at nine o'clock. I
- 14:47Speaker 2: don't know when there'll be a result. This may be closer,
- 14:51Speaker 2: maybe a lot closer. Anybody thinks that could delay the results.
- 14:54Speaker 2: But we've already got seven hundred and thirty five thousand
- 14:58Speaker 2: early votes. Those should be counted by now. We're having
- 15:02Speaker 2: extremely high turnout this morning, and the weather's great, so
- 15:05Speaker 2: it'll be a very high turnout day. Already got about
- 15:08Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty thousand people have voted already. That's
- 15:11Speaker 2: a lot for the morning. You'll in the end the
- 15:14Speaker 2: votes will be over two million. So we don't know
- 15:17Speaker 2: what's going to There's a surge of voting that's not
- 15:20Speaker 2: in the poll, so we don't know where it's coming
- 15:21Speaker 2: from the left, the right, the young, the old. We'll see. Hey,
- 15:25Speaker 2: we'll take some calls in a minute, eight hundred three
- 15:28Speaker 2: to two, one zero seven ten, and we'll get to
- 15:32Speaker 2: Dick Cheney. We'll go over it's a complicated story, the
- 15:35Speaker 2: Dick Cheney story, the love hate, Well, we'll get to
- 15:37Speaker 2: that later on. Hey, you know the very first station
- 15:43Speaker 2: start that plays Christmas music, you know all goes all
- 15:45Speaker 2: Christmas music started yesterday. There's now a station that's all
- 15:49Speaker 2: Christmas music, not on this floor, somewhere out there. It's
- 15:53Speaker 2: starting soon. Andy, we'll take some calls next eight hundred
- 15:56Speaker 2: three to two, one zero seven ten,
