- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus. Play fake, go to roll.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Right, dumps it off into the right flast to Michael Bumpers,
- 0:09Speaker 2: who bounces off a one tackler gets inside the forty
- 0:12Speaker 2: down of the thirty five yard line.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Powered by seahawks dot Com.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Matt pumpfake's looking at the god line. He throws it
- 0:18Speaker 3: into the m zone.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Touchdown, Say Hawks, it's Michael Bumpas with a diving catching
- 0:23Speaker 1: the end zone.
- 0:23Speaker 4: A ten yard.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Touchdown reception for Bumpers, and the kid out of Washington
- 0:28Speaker 2: State has found himself a place.
- 0:30Speaker 1: On this team. Now here's your host, Nasa Jovie.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk, this time Sehawks
- 0:38Speaker 3: getting ready to take on the New York Football Giants
- 0:41Speaker 3: in Week four. Coming off a loss, but the Seahawks
- 0:43Speaker 3: are still three and one. Bump The vibes are still
- 0:45Speaker 3: good here still Yeah, you know what I mean, Yeah, yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 3: I mean it's one of those things we've been interested
- 0:50Speaker 3: to see what this team would look like after a loss.
- 0:52Speaker 3: We see how they respawn. Obviously within the building, vibes
- 0:55Speaker 3: are good. People turn the page. They're making it right.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So I'm feel good about this week. Man, Yeah, I'm
- 0:59Speaker 3: feeling good about it. Man, Detroit Lions tip of cap
- 1:01Speaker 3: good football team. Jared Golf played out of his mind
- 1:03Speaker 3: eighteen of eighteen, Like, come on, man, how you go
- 1:05Speaker 3: eighteen of eighteen?
- 1:06Speaker 4: Don't have a perfect quarterback rating? The system is broken.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I don't get it. I'll not about that good at math.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I was not a math major. But the math ain't
- 1:12Speaker 3: math and it ain't math team.
- 1:13Speaker 5: And also, signoe, do you know why they're called the
- 1:15Speaker 5: New York Football Giants? Why is that because at one
- 1:18Speaker 5: point there was a New York Giants baseball team.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Well, hold, I knew that, but I thought there was
- 1:22Speaker 3: a deeper story. Yeah, it's surface level. Okay, I'm gonna say, well,
- 1:27Speaker 3: I knew that, bro, I thought you're gonna go it
- 1:28Speaker 3: like in depth. Now, So there's a philosopher who started
- 1:32Speaker 3: no identification.
- 1:33Speaker 4: That's all the football team.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Okay, what's on tap?
- 1:40Speaker 1: What's on tap?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Well?
- 1:41Speaker 3: About these New York Football Giants. One in three, last
- 1:44Speaker 3: place in the NFC East. They lost to well Men lose,
- 1:47Speaker 3: they got blown out, boat raced to the Minnesota Vikings
- 1:50Speaker 3: twenty eight to six. And Week one lost twenty one
- 1:52Speaker 3: to eighteen to the Washington Commanders, beat the Cleveland Browns
- 1:55Speaker 3: twenty one to fifteen, and then lost twenty to fifteen
- 1:57Speaker 3: to the Dallas Cowboys. So, like I said, they got
- 2:00Speaker 3: whooped in Week one, but since then they played three
- 2:02Speaker 3: really close games and it wasn't no different. Last Thursday
- 2:07Speaker 3: night they got to play Dallas Cowboys, and this was
- 2:10Speaker 3: a game the Cowboys really needed bump. So they were
- 2:13Speaker 3: coming off a two game losing streak where they got
- 2:14Speaker 3: smacked by the Saints and got blown out by the Ravens.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Made it kind of close in the end. But that
- 2:18Speaker 3: being said, this game between the Cowboys and Giants was
- 2:21Speaker 3: a tight one. The Cowboys would come out on top
- 2:24Speaker 3: for their seventh straight time in fourteen of the last fifteen.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Gracious Giants fans, they be lowed, we got the Cowboys
- 2:30Speaker 5: this week like it's a wrap.
- 2:34Speaker 3: And in that game, Giants failed to get in the
- 2:36Speaker 3: end zone for the second straight home game this season,
- 2:38Speaker 3: settling for five field goals against the Cowboys. Greg Joesph
- 2:42Speaker 3: got those done. Daniel Jones did keep the game close.
- 2:45Speaker 3: He completed twenty nine forty passes for two hundred and
- 2:48Speaker 3: eighty yards, finding sensational rookie my Leak Neighbors, who we
- 2:51Speaker 3: were going to talk a lot about today twelve times
- 2:54Speaker 3: for twelve receptions, one hundred and fifteen yards. And then
- 2:56Speaker 3: Wondale Robinson. He had eleven receptions for seventy one yards.
- 3:00Speaker 3: But the one thing they couldn't find was the end zone.
- 3:01Speaker 3: That's been a problem at home. Jones threw an interception
- 3:04Speaker 3: lay but it was kind of disperration at the end
- 3:05Speaker 3: of the game. The big thing this week, Bump is
- 3:07Speaker 3: about Neighbors South. Yeah, got a concussion in that game.
- 3:10Speaker 3: He's been day to day. We're gonna see it. It
- 3:12Speaker 3: feels like to me it's gonna be one of those
- 3:14Speaker 3: game day decisions. We're going to wait for inactives by
- 3:16Speaker 3: ninety minutes before the game, so we'll keep you posted.
- 3:18Speaker 5: They didn't even see that bad neither, just on the
- 3:20Speaker 5: sideline went down. I mean his head did hit the ground,
- 3:23Speaker 5: but it wasn't like extremely violent. Concussions are tricky, man,
- 3:26Speaker 5: football be like.
- 3:27Speaker 4: That, though.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I want to state Iman always say the hardest defenders
- 3:29Speaker 3: the ground. Uh, it wins every time, every time, undefeated,
- 3:33Speaker 3: So we'll see about him. Obviously, it's a complete different
- 3:35Speaker 3: game if he's playing or if he's not playing. So
- 3:37Speaker 3: we'll keep an eye ot on that and really hurt
- 3:39Speaker 3: New York. Bump is their run game. Coming into that game,
- 3:42Speaker 3: Dallas could not stop a thing on the ground, but
- 3:44Speaker 3: they stopped the Giants. They did twenty six yards on
- 3:47Speaker 3: twenty four carries a one point one yard average. Dak
- 3:50Speaker 3: Prescott did his thing, and Cede Lamb also had a
- 3:52Speaker 3: decent game. Bump. But when you look at these team
- 3:54Speaker 3: by the numbers, what do you see?
- 3:55Speaker 5: First of all, let me say, if y'all need to
- 3:58Speaker 5: run it back, I got you. I can give you
- 4:00Speaker 5: one point one to carry. Okay, you fall forward? Can
- 4:02Speaker 5: I can do that?
- 4:03Speaker 4: I can fall forward for you?
- 4:04Speaker 3: All right?
- 4:04Speaker 4: But not this week? Maybe next week?
- 4:06Speaker 5: All right, head to hey, let's look at these dudes,
- 4:07Speaker 5: all right, Seahawks three to one, Giants one to three. Now,
- 4:10Speaker 5: these numbers are as well as they gets. Now, NOA,
- 4:12Speaker 5: we've been putting it off. It's unfortunate that the defense
- 4:15Speaker 5: led Detroit drop forty two on them, so that kind
- 4:18Speaker 5: of changes those numbers there.
- 4:20Speaker 4: But these are real, all right.
- 4:21Speaker 5: So total offense, See, the Hawks are ring fifth, the
- 4:23Speaker 5: Giants are twenty first. It comes to running the ball,
- 4:25Speaker 5: the Hawks are twentieth, averaging one oh six a game.
- 4:27Speaker 5: The Giants are thirtieth, averaging eighty five a game. Passing
- 4:30Speaker 5: offense best in the land, the Seahawks averaging two to
- 4:32Speaker 5: eighty eight games.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Let's go, let's get.
- 4:34Speaker 5: It big up's g O, dk Lockett, Jayson aj got
- 4:37Speaker 5: some the other day, all right, and the Giants are fifteenth.
- 4:39Speaker 5: But because the points per game, the Hawks are ninth,
- 4:41Speaker 5: averaging twenty five and the Giants are twenty ninth averaging fifteen. Defensively,
- 4:45Speaker 5: you still got a top ten defense for the Hawks
- 4:47Speaker 5: or eighth overall, Giants twelfth. It gets the run, they're fourteenth,
- 4:50Speaker 5: Giants fifteenth, All right. There's a battle going on right there.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Against the pass. The Hawks are seventh and the Giants
- 4:56Speaker 5: are fourteenth. And then when it comes to points allowed,
- 4:58Speaker 5: the Hawks are fourteen. Letting excuse me, offensive score twenty
- 5:02Speaker 5: one a game and the Giants are thirteenth. Allow when
- 5:05Speaker 5: teams to score twenty one a game, time of possession
- 5:07Speaker 5: is similar. Interceptions hawtscatch two, Giants have one. There are
- 5:12Speaker 5: some areas where there are gonna be some real battles. Man,
- 5:14Speaker 5: who's gonna stop the run at a higher clip the
- 5:17Speaker 5: Giants or the Seahawks.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean the Ice have a good defense. They're
- 5:20Speaker 3: not tops in the league. They're not a little blacking
- 5:22Speaker 3: behind the Seahawks when it comes to numbers, but they
- 5:24Speaker 3: got a good defense. And because some players over there
- 5:25Speaker 3: that we're going to get into offensively, it's not great.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Nah, I mean, especially if neighbors in in there.
- 5:32Speaker 3: If neighbors in in there, again, I don't want it
- 5:34Speaker 3: to feel like obviously we're not playing in the game.
- 5:36Speaker 3: So I don't want to call it a trap game,
- 5:37Speaker 3: because no one in this building is gonna treat it
- 5:41Speaker 3: that way.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Now we'll call it a trap gave for them. It's
- 5:44Speaker 4: just let's go get.
- 5:45Speaker 3: It on paper. If Neighbors isn't playing, this feels like
- 5:48Speaker 3: a game the Seahawks should get, right, is what it
- 5:49Speaker 3: always says. In a game they should handle. But that's
- 5:51Speaker 3: why they play the games. They get paid two. Their
- 5:54Speaker 3: National Football League team records don't mean anything once they
- 5:56Speaker 3: line them up on Sunday exactly, we will see how
- 5:59Speaker 3: that goes. But his teams do have a recent history.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Let's know it, no your history. Seahawks lead the all
- 6:06Speaker 3: time series eleven to ten, so it's been tight over
- 6:08Speaker 3: the years. The Hawks have had a lot of success,
- 6:11Speaker 3: recently winning six of their last seven matchups, including the
- 6:13Speaker 3: past two games. And you know it irks me, bump
- 6:16Speaker 3: that should be seven of seven because the one they
- 6:18Speaker 3: lost was that game during COVID twenty twenty. Yet m McCoy,
- 6:22Speaker 3: that game still haunts me because if they win that game,
- 6:25Speaker 3: they would have won the division, would have had to
- 6:27Speaker 3: buy all that other stuff. But it doesn't matter because
- 6:30Speaker 3: as of late a splashback to their last meeting, the
- 6:33Speaker 3: Seahawks beat them down in the Big Apple Seahawks beating
- 6:36Speaker 3: the Giants twenty four to three. Seahawks were all over
- 6:39Speaker 3: Daniel Jones, setting a franchise record eleven sacks.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Oh that was sack Central. I remember that vividly. Everybody
- 6:45Speaker 4: got some.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I'm sure Daniel also remembers that. It also was the
- 6:48Speaker 3: nation's first real look at Devin Witherspoon, and boy did
- 6:52Speaker 3: he not disappoint. He had this ninety seven yard interception
- 6:57Speaker 3: of Daniel Jones.
- 7:00Speaker 2: From the shotgun read him beside him in the backfield,
- 7:03Speaker 2: single wide out left with a slot to the right side.
- 7:07Speaker 2: See how it looks like they want to rush four
- 7:10Speaker 2: then they do. Jones is gonna throw throws.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Near side, bull pick up.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Witherspoon comes your time down the sidelines, Joe's chasing, gonna.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Cuts back inside, picks up lockers.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Still be chased.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Witherspoon Far Time twenty fifteen, ten five.
- 7:25Speaker 3: He is in Holy Catfish.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Witherspood win a file and a half with.
- 7:32Speaker 4: The interception for a touchdown. Jones looks left, witherspoonon digs
- 7:38Speaker 4: him into throwing and then picks it off and goes
- 7:41Speaker 4: from about the.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Three yard line the length of the field.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Are you kidding me?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Ninety seven yards Witherspoon unbelievable.
- 7:53Speaker 4: That boy good, that boy good. He got that speed.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Like Rabel said, he like kind of bait at the throw,
- 7:59Speaker 5: hopped on it, bam to the house. Ain't nobody catches
- 8:01Speaker 5: spooning it open field?
- 8:02Speaker 3: Oh not a chance. And then what I loved about
- 8:03Speaker 3: that too was that was kind of a revenge game.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I want to call revenge game my former team Julian
- 8:07Speaker 3: Love first time back in New York, and he got
- 8:09Speaker 3: that ceiling block on that run back ran all the
- 8:11Speaker 3: way down their ninety seven yards. So good to see that.
- 8:14Speaker 3: But Gino Smith. In that game, he threw a six
- 8:16Speaker 3: yard touchdown pass dk Metcalf late in the first quarter
- 8:18Speaker 3: after a strip sacked by Mario Edwards. Then you know,
- 8:22Speaker 3: I mean Ken Walker, he did his thing. He got
- 8:24Speaker 3: in the ends on just four a halftime, Quandre Diggs
- 8:27Speaker 3: had an interception, Jason Myers kicked a field goal that
- 8:30Speaker 3: helped Seattle improve to six and zero. Medlife Stadium. They
- 8:33Speaker 3: own that place, including winning the Super Bowl down there
- 8:36Speaker 3: over the Denver Broncos twenty thirteen. And then also the
- 8:39Speaker 3: cool thing about that was Sakuon Barkley got held without
- 8:42Speaker 3: any you know, real production in that game. But the
- 8:45Speaker 3: thing that stood out to me, bump was Chennan Wosu.
- 8:48Speaker 3: He had two sacks and it showed you how good
- 8:50Speaker 3: this defense can be with him in the lineup. And
- 8:52Speaker 3: then two weeks later, Chenning gets hurt, goes to ir
- 8:55Speaker 3: and we saw what happen to that defense.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's a different different group when Chenna and
- 8:59Speaker 5: out there. And we still haven't seen Chinna in this defense.
- 9:02Speaker 5: I mean I heard he was moving around this week.
- 9:04Speaker 5: We shall see what happens, man. But I think now
- 9:06Speaker 5: this time of the year, you're slowly gonna get guys back.
- 9:08Speaker 5: There's been a lot of guys banged up. This is football,
- 9:10Speaker 5: that happens. But you get ten back, goodness gracious.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Yes, no, that's the one thing. It's like when you
- 9:17Speaker 3: get someone back who's missed this amount of time, it's
- 9:19Speaker 3: like trading for an off pro player, right, four weeks
- 9:22Speaker 3: seen in that radyoser system. So I'm excited to see
- 9:24Speaker 3: what China can do. Hopefully he comes back this week.
- 9:27Speaker 3: If not, we know he's gonna be ready to go
- 9:29Speaker 3: when that happens. But let's check out what's going on
- 9:31Speaker 3: in the NFC West. What's the word and.
- 9:38Speaker 2: The Seahawks or the NFC West champs?
- 9:41Speaker 3: Again, what's the word in the West? On Hawk Talk?
- 9:46Speaker 4: Yeah, the Hawks took an L last week, but it's
- 9:48Speaker 4: all good. Despite that L. They are still number one
- 9:50Speaker 4: in the division.
- 9:51Speaker 5: They're three and one. The Niners are two and two,
- 9:53Speaker 5: the Cardinals are one and three. In the Los Angeles
- 9:55Speaker 5: Rams are one and three as well. Man, it wasn't
- 9:58Speaker 5: the best week, but you know what, you still have
- 10:00Speaker 5: the lead, so there are some positives there. Now, let's
- 10:02Speaker 5: go ahead and check in on the Rams and the
- 10:03Speaker 5: Bears game. The Rams went on the road and dropped
- 10:06Speaker 5: a tight game to Caleb Williams at the Chicago Bears.
- 10:09Speaker 4: It was twenty four to eight.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Team the number one overall pick did not light up
- 10:12Speaker 5: the world on fire, but he was effishing. He was
- 10:14Speaker 5: seventeen of twenty three four one hundred and fifty seven yards,
- 10:17Speaker 5: one touchdowns, zero interceptions, and the Bears on He let
- 10:21Speaker 5: the Bears on four scoring drives, improving, improving from the
- 10:24Speaker 5: two turnovers the game the week before. Caleb is gonna
- 10:27Speaker 5: be a whole season progression, right. People thought he was
- 10:30Speaker 5: gonna come in hot. I tried to tell him, Cal'm.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Down, submit down right, all right, there's some things that
- 10:34Speaker 4: need to happen. But you see it. It's always crazy.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Two years in a row the number two pick has
- 10:39Speaker 5: really been the guy doing their thing and Jayden Daniels.
- 10:41Speaker 5: But no, I think Caleb's gonna be fine. He's just
- 10:43Speaker 5: got to kind of find his footing.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Yeah, No, Caleb Williams. Think about him. You've got to
- 10:47Speaker 3: see him all the time in US, see a lot
- 10:49Speaker 3: of people in them. Sifth Northwest also did. He's special,
- 10:52Speaker 3: and he's so great on his off schedule plays and
- 10:55Speaker 3: he's just a playmaker. Yeah, but this is a National
- 10:57Speaker 3: Football League. You can't rely on your athleticism and all that.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Not that he is. I'm just saying to your point,
- 11:02Speaker 3: it's gonna be a progression, yeah, and it's gonna take
- 11:04Speaker 3: a little bit of time. But in this game, the
- 11:07Speaker 3: Rams tried to keep it close. But what stood out
- 11:10Speaker 3: to me was the end of the game. First of all,
- 11:14Speaker 3: Matthew Stafford and the Rams are doing whatever they can
- 11:16Speaker 3: without Cooper cup Phokinakua.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Yep. It's hard out there, it is.
- 11:20Speaker 3: And Stafford did okay twenty twenty nine and twenty four yards,
- 11:23Speaker 3: zero touchdowns and interceptions. He did, however, make some history,
- 11:26Speaker 3: passing Eli Manning for tenth in the NFL's all time
- 11:28Speaker 3: passing list with fifty seven thousand, zero and twenty five
- 11:32Speaker 3: yards complete sidebar, is he hall of Famer?
- 11:35Speaker 4: I was gonna ask you that. That's crazy.
- 11:37Speaker 5: I'm looking at that because people say Eli Manning is
- 11:39Speaker 5: a Hall of Famer, And the thing I.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Support Eli because he beat Tom Brady twice touring.
- 11:45Speaker 5: You beat the goal twice and you have fifty seven
- 11:48Speaker 5: thousand yards, you should be in the Hall of Fame.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Matthew Stafford.
- 11:51Speaker 5: People being kind of on edge about him, kind of
- 11:53Speaker 5: I don't know if he should. Man, you got a
- 11:55Speaker 5: super Bowl championship. You are now ninth. When it comes
- 11:58Speaker 5: to our tenth, when it comes to all time passing,
- 12:00Speaker 5: you gotta be in that thing. Man, I don't know
- 12:02Speaker 5: how they keep Matthew Stafford.
- 12:03Speaker 4: He better be in.
- 12:04Speaker 3: No, I got it. I tend to agree with you
- 12:05Speaker 3: because doesn't make any sense. So you have fifty seven thousand,
- 12:07Speaker 3: your you know, top ten whatever it is now all
- 12:10Speaker 3: time and then you win a super Bowl.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know how you can't. Super Bowl is
- 12:14Speaker 4: icing on the cake.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Man.
- 12:15Speaker 5: He's uh, he had super Bowl numbers, especially with Calvin Johnson.
- 12:20Speaker 5: But you got that, you got that super Bowl, you
- 12:22Speaker 5: got that ring. Come on now, it's all good.
- 12:23Speaker 3: I think what he's gonna do, especially once you get
- 12:25Speaker 3: a nice round number, once you get over sixty thousand,
- 12:28Speaker 3: you put all those together, he's probably in offen.
- 12:29Speaker 4: You get to go.
- 12:30Speaker 3: But the Hall of Fame wasn't gonna get you win.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Last week, as the Rams go down, all dang fall
- 12:35Speaker 3: to one Hills to break them down, They're gonna take
- 12:40Speaker 3: on the packers this Sunday or dealing with their own injuries.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Let's flip to the other team in the division, the
- 12:45Speaker 3: Commanders taking on the Cardinals. But I think for three
- 12:49Speaker 3: years I've been the most wishy washy about this Cardinals
- 12:52Speaker 3: team because I just don't know. Yeah, Kingsbury was running
- 12:55Speaker 3: the show down there for a while. Things didn't go
- 12:56Speaker 3: the right way. They had Hopkins. You're bringing Kyler Murray
- 12:59Speaker 3: this year year? Okay, our second year with Jonathan Gannon
- 13:04Speaker 3: at the Helm yep. And the first week okay, you
- 13:07Speaker 3: almost be Buffalo. Okay, they might be honest something. Then
- 13:10Speaker 3: they lose a good game, good to a good team
- 13:12Speaker 3: in Detroit. I have no words for this, So I
- 13:15Speaker 3: don't know if they're good or bad. Bump you get
- 13:17Speaker 3: boat raced forty one ten at home. I mean, I
- 13:20Speaker 3: don't know, man, I don't know. Yeah, that's a that's
- 13:23Speaker 3: a tough one. Man, that's a tough one.
- 13:24Speaker 5: The Commanders they went down to the desert, did their
- 13:27Speaker 5: thing forty two to fourteen, and the Carlinals they started
- 13:30Speaker 5: the game on a high note through right then we're
- 13:32Speaker 5: right down the field.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Nine plays, fifty five yards touchdown.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Marvin Harrison feed the young man, and the Commanders responded
- 13:38Speaker 5: by scoring twenty seven unanswered the same calm down, Jim,
- 13:41Speaker 5: we got this, and but the Cardinals they try to
- 13:45Speaker 5: make it competitive, right. James Connor scores a touchdown, laying
- 13:48Speaker 5: the third, making it twenty seven to fourteen. But the
- 13:50Speaker 5: Commander's answer back with two fourth quarter touchdowns while keeping
- 13:53Speaker 5: the Cardinals scoreless.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Jaden Daniels, Jade and Daniels. I heard some outrageous takes
- 13:59Speaker 4: saying that he's the best quarterback in the game. Let's
- 14:01Speaker 4: come down with that.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Completion percentage is crazy right now though, over eighty percent,
- 14:05Speaker 5: first quarterback to ever do that in a four game
- 14:07Speaker 5: span his first four games in the NFL. I'm liking
- 14:10Speaker 5: what he's doing. I'm happy for dan Quinn as well.
- 14:13Speaker 5: This dude's gonna be a problem for a long time.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Yeah, Jayden. The thing about me so when I saw
- 14:18Speaker 3: him in Arizona State, I thought he was just kind
- 14:20Speaker 3: of average. Me too, and then he left. I was like, Okay,
- 14:22Speaker 3: good luck at the SEC. We weren't that great in
- 14:25Speaker 3: the Pac twelve. Now you're gonna go down there, obviously,
- 14:27Speaker 3: eat my words. Wants the Heisman Trophy. Top five.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Our evaluation was horrible.
- 14:31Speaker 3: This guy, I guess it's a good reason why I
- 14:33Speaker 3: don't do this for but no, he's a baller twenty
- 14:36Speaker 3: six to thirty two and thirty three yards. You mentioned
- 14:38Speaker 3: the completion percentage. He's a boss and it's cool to
- 14:41Speaker 3: see him happy for dan Quinn because he's given that
- 14:43Speaker 3: fan base potentially something to look forward.
- 14:45Speaker 4: To, Yeah, something to strive. Are they the best team
- 14:47Speaker 4: in that division right now? Philly?
- 14:52Speaker 3: I mean Todayalla today? Right now? It's got to be them,
- 14:55Speaker 3: right I mean obviously you think Dallas, but they are.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I don't know what to make a Dallas. You're just
- 14:59Speaker 3: gonna do Dallas the US disappointing. They'll be on TV
- 15:02Speaker 3: every primetime do every week America's team. Say anyway, Bobby Wagner,
- 15:07Speaker 3: he did this thing that game he had eleven tackles,
- 15:09Speaker 3: one TfL, one QB hit and James Connor for the
- 15:12Speaker 3: Cardinals one hundred four yards a touchdown on eighteen carries.
- 15:15Speaker 3: And then lastly Marvin Harrison Junior five receptions, forty five
- 15:18Speaker 3: yards in a touchdown. He's the other thing, you know,
- 15:20Speaker 3: he's really good. It'll be interesting to see the Cardinals
- 15:22Speaker 3: right now. They're just not consistent. They're up and down.
- 15:25Speaker 3: You never know what team's gonna show up, so we'll
- 15:27Speaker 3: keep an eye on them as we go. I'm the
- 15:29Speaker 3: jury still out, so I don't know clearly, I know nothing.
- 15:32Speaker 1: You know.
- 15:32Speaker 4: They I almost drank all the kool aid they were selling.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Almost drank it.
- 15:36Speaker 5: And then that's the thing about football, it'll let you know, man,
- 15:40Speaker 5: it happens in increments. Right, every four to three games,
- 15:43Speaker 5: you kind of figure out where a team is. I
- 15:44Speaker 5: think it's safe to say that they're just they don't
- 15:47Speaker 5: have any direction right now. You got a bunch of talent,
- 15:49Speaker 5: but you all, you got to make it all come together.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a spell on Aisle five with that
- 15:53Speaker 3: kool aid, So we'll spell dang you hot today. Let's
- 15:57Speaker 3: go off the top. We'll see the Cardinals obviously, well
- 16:00Speaker 3: the Seahawks played them later in the year, so we'll
- 16:02Speaker 3: see how that goes. Now, Bump, here's the game I
- 16:04Speaker 3: was looking forward to all last weekend. I was the
- 16:06Speaker 3: Patriots in the forty nine ers. Yeah, and it happened
- 16:09Speaker 3: the way I thought.
- 16:10Speaker 4: It was gonna happen. Yep, yep, Niners are made some
- 16:12Speaker 4: key guys.
- 16:13Speaker 5: We knew this is gonna be a tough game for
- 16:15Speaker 5: the pages, especially when it comes to that defense man.
- 16:18Speaker 5: It started slow for the Niners offensively, with two field
- 16:21Speaker 5: goals in the first quarter. Then Fred Warner, he jumped
- 16:24Speaker 5: started this thing man, forty five yard pick that extended
- 16:26Speaker 5: the lead to thirteen zero. Did you see how gassed
- 16:29Speaker 5: my man was a trying to celebrate. He gave you
- 16:33Speaker 5: one little rock and.
- 16:34Speaker 4: It took the knee. I've been there, I've been there before, man,
- 16:36Speaker 4: I image you.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Man.
- 16:38Speaker 5: The Patriots would turn the ball over on downs the
- 16:40Speaker 5: falling possession, and the Niners would make them pay, going
- 16:43Speaker 5: ten plays eighty yards, ending with a George Kittle touchdown
- 16:46Speaker 5: where he most have seemed like three or four guys
- 16:48Speaker 5: at one time.
- 16:49Speaker 4: It was crazy boy, good good good that made the
- 16:51Speaker 4: score twenty zero.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Jacoby Brissett man bust this whole bump because he's a
- 16:56Speaker 3: tough dude.
- 16:56Speaker 5: He is.
- 16:57Speaker 3: He's a tough dude. I thought that way when we
- 16:58Speaker 3: talked about him and the Seahawks played. He's just taking
- 17:00Speaker 3: a beating, taking a beating. He was sacked six times.
- 17:03Speaker 3: He did finish the day and when nineteen of thirty
- 17:05Speaker 3: two hundred and sixty eight yards, one touchdown, one interception,
- 17:09Speaker 3: and at some point. I don't know when the Drake
- 17:12Speaker 3: May buzz. I feel like every week it's getting a
- 17:14Speaker 3: little louder, a little louder. But you watch what's going
- 17:17Speaker 3: on to Brissett, and if you're if you're their coach,
- 17:19Speaker 3: do you want Drake May out there right now?
- 17:20Speaker 5: Don't want to ruin him. What did Kevin O'Connell say
- 17:23Speaker 5: about organizations? Organizations?
- 17:25Speaker 4: You kill these young quarterbacks, man, So you got to
- 17:27Speaker 4: be you have to be careful and strategic with this dude.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Yeah, So we'll see for the forty nine ers though
- 17:33Speaker 3: brock p already finished the day fifteen to twenty seven,
- 17:35Speaker 3: two hundred and eighty eight yards, one touchdown, one interception.
- 17:38Speaker 3: And Jeorge Mason, man.
- 17:39Speaker 4: He's a dog, second lead rusher in the league.
- 17:41Speaker 3: He's a dog. One hundred twenty three yards on twenty
- 17:43Speaker 3: three carries, one touchdown. I'm not saying I'm not saying
- 17:46Speaker 3: Christian McCaffrey, who Okay, I'm not crazy. I'm just saying
- 17:51Speaker 3: they're back to what the Niners have been doing. Anyone
- 17:54Speaker 3: back there is going to produce. It feels like just
- 17:56Speaker 3: that system. I don't want to take anything away from
- 17:58Speaker 3: the young man I'm just saying, running backs, since they've
- 18:02Speaker 3: been good again, doesn't matter who's carrying the football, they're
- 18:04Speaker 3: gonna produce.
- 18:05Speaker 5: I've seen like three or four be able to produce
- 18:07Speaker 5: in that system. I saw a stat Derrick Henry is
- 18:10Speaker 5: leading the league when it comes to rush yards. Uh,
- 18:13Speaker 5: Mason is right behind him.
- 18:15Speaker 4: And they said, it's funny how Derek Henry is reminded
- 18:17Speaker 4: reminding the league that running backs matter, and then Mason
- 18:21Speaker 4: is reminding the league that they don't really matter. Oh,
- 18:25Speaker 4: it's so real. It's crazy, man, it's crazy.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It is wild out there for them. Bas K nine,
- 18:31Speaker 3: you matter, Jack Sharbonne, you matter. Mcoshy matter. Just don't
- 18:35Speaker 3: anyone tell you different. Okay, all right, let's get back
- 18:38Speaker 3: into this matchup with the New York Giants. Man up, man.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Up on Hawk Talk.
- 18:52Speaker 4: All right, we usually start with the quarterbacks.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Why switch it up now we're looking at Daniel Jones
- 18:56Speaker 5: against the Seahawks.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Defense Man.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Danny Dimes has had an up and down career as
- 19:01Speaker 5: the starting quarterback for the New York Football Giants. I
- 19:04Speaker 5: can't believe this is sixth season. That's crazy me. It
- 19:06Speaker 5: feels like three or four or something like that. But
- 19:09Speaker 5: he's been around for a while.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Man.
- 19:10Speaker 5: He led the Giants to the playoffs in twenty twenty
- 19:12Speaker 5: for the first time to his twenty sixteen and I
- 19:14Speaker 5: won a playoff game of the row, which was the
- 19:15Speaker 5: first playoff winning New York since they won the Super
- 19:18Speaker 5: Bowl in twenty eleven. That year, in twenty twenty two,
- 19:21Speaker 5: he put up his best numbers. He was thirteen or
- 19:23Speaker 5: excuse me, three hundred and seventeen of four to seventy
- 19:25Speaker 5: two for thirty two hundred and five yards, fifteen touchdowns,
- 19:28Speaker 5: five interceptions. But what got him the money that year
- 19:31Speaker 5: was what he did on the ground seven hundred and
- 19:33Speaker 5: eight yards and seven touchdowns. That last season led the
- 19:37Speaker 5: Giants to excuse me, That led the Giants to given
- 19:40Speaker 5: Jones a four year, one hundred and sixty million dollar
- 19:42Speaker 5: contract extension in twenty twenty three.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Day Ball came in and said, I got you dog,
- 19:47Speaker 4: get that money. This is my quarterback. This is what
- 19:49Speaker 4: I need.
- 19:50Speaker 5: But then last season didn't go well for him. He
- 19:52Speaker 5: played in six games he tore his ACM, but in
- 19:54Speaker 5: those six games he was one for five. He had
- 19:56Speaker 5: two touchdowns to six interceptions.
- 19:58Speaker 4: So far in his New York.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Career, never thrown more than thirty three hundred yards, only
- 20:02Speaker 5: throw him for twenty touchdowns once and that never made
- 20:05Speaker 5: it to a Pro Bowl. So far this year, eight
- 20:07Speaker 5: hundred and eighty one yards, four touchdowns, three interceptions.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Man, quarterbacks be finess in the league.
- 20:13Speaker 5: He's I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback, of course,
- 20:15Speaker 5: but it's all timing when it comes to getting paid.
- 20:17Speaker 5: You have yourself a good year, new quarterback, he's myen.
- 20:20Speaker 5: A new head coach comes in time for you to
- 20:22Speaker 5: get paid. He believes in you. Boom you're going. But
- 20:24Speaker 5: that New York media is gonna be tough on him. Man,
- 20:27Speaker 5: they're tough on the goodness every athlete over there.
- 20:29Speaker 3: It's it's he's just the same way I can't figure
- 20:32Speaker 3: out what's going on with Arizona Cardinals, the same way
- 20:34Speaker 3: I can't really figure out Daniel Jones because you watch
- 20:37Speaker 3: him and it's not everything you see is bad. Yeah,
- 20:39Speaker 3: he's I'm not even gonna call him an underrated athlete.
- 20:41Speaker 3: He's a good athlete. You don't rush for seven hundred
- 20:44Speaker 3: yards of quarterback position in this league for no reason, right.
- 20:46Speaker 3: So he's a good player and he had that great
- 20:48Speaker 3: year almost I compare it to not in the exact
- 20:50Speaker 3: same way. So hear me out on this. But the
- 20:52Speaker 3: Russell Wilson early years where you say, hey, let me
- 20:54Speaker 3: take his passing yards and take his rushing yards, take
- 20:56Speaker 3: all the touchdowns, put them all together, and that's the court.
- 20:59Speaker 3: That's how we should judge him. And he did that thing.
- 21:01Speaker 3: And now you win a playoff game, you go to Minnesota,
- 21:04Speaker 3: you win again. The expectations came up. They didn't live
- 21:06Speaker 3: up to him last year, so it'll be interesting. But
- 21:09Speaker 3: what we do know is he's prone to turning the
- 21:10Speaker 3: ball over, and that's what the Seahawks need to get
- 21:12Speaker 3: back to. We were kind of slipping a little bit
- 21:14Speaker 3: in the turnover differential. Seahawks had a tough week last
- 21:17Speaker 3: weekgainst the Lions, so hopefully a lot of those guys
- 21:18Speaker 3: are going to be back. Seahawks eighth over all in
- 21:20Speaker 3: total defense, seventh against the past fourteenth in points allowed,
- 21:23Speaker 3: So this will be a big one, right Daniel Jones
- 21:25Speaker 3: on the road, Hostile environments will make him turn that
- 21:29Speaker 3: thing over. Now it swilp it over. Our quarterback Gino
- 21:31Speaker 3: Smith continues to amazing start to twenty twenty four. Last
- 21:35Speaker 3: week against the Lions, record setting day thirty eight to
- 21:37Speaker 3: fifty six, three ninety five, one touchdown, one interception, set
- 21:41Speaker 3: career highs and completions thirty eight attempts, fifty six and
- 21:44Speaker 3: yards three to ninety five set a franchise record of
- 21:48Speaker 3: fifty six attempts, and his thirty eight completions are second
- 21:50Speaker 3: in franchise history. He led the Seahawks to those thirty
- 21:52Speaker 3: eight first downs are the most ever. Man And look
- 21:56Speaker 3: at this for helinks in the NFL passing yards, one
- 21:59Speaker 3: completion percentage, two completions, one attempts, one QBR. Ninth season stats,
- 22:04Speaker 3: He's got eleven hundred and eighty two yards, four touchdowns,
- 22:07Speaker 3: four intersections. Three of them really all of them aren't
- 22:09Speaker 3: his fault. The last one against Detroit was at the end. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 3: So they got the number one passing offense in the NFL.
- 22:17Speaker 3: When Brian Grubb got the job, everyone assumed they would
- 22:20Speaker 3: be trending this direction. But he's very clear he wants
- 22:22Speaker 3: to run the ball, and they're starting to kind of
- 22:23Speaker 3: figure that out. I didn't think about be this successful
- 22:26Speaker 3: this early on.
- 22:27Speaker 5: Nah, I mean, I felt like it would be a crescendo.
- 22:31Speaker 5: It's slowly going up. But to have Gino come out
- 22:33Speaker 5: and be hot like this, it's crazy, especially after what
- 22:35Speaker 5: Ryan Grubb said. And we want to run the football,
- 22:38Speaker 5: but Ryan Grubb says, all right, they ain't letting us
- 22:40Speaker 5: run the football.
- 22:41Speaker 4: So now I'm a toss that thing across the yard.
- 22:43Speaker 4: The pass is setting up the run.
- 22:44Speaker 5: We've seen a couple of games where you start off
- 22:46Speaker 5: passing the football, where's the run? Second half rolls around,
- 22:49Speaker 5: you start handing it off. Things start to happen for you.
- 22:51Speaker 5: So yeah, man, big ups of Grub and Gino and
- 22:53Speaker 5: everyone involved. They are doing their thing.
- 22:56Speaker 3: All right.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Let's talk about Devin Singletary and the Seahawks front seven.
- 23:01Speaker 5: This is the first year that the Giants have been
- 23:03Speaker 5: without Saquon Barkley and they got to play him twice.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Bad move by you guys. And certain new leading running
- 23:08Speaker 5: back Devin Singletary. This is six year in the NFL.
- 23:11Speaker 5: He spent his first four years with Buffalo. In one
- 23:13Speaker 5: yeard Houston. During his time in Buffalo, he has the
- 23:16Speaker 5: leading rusher. He was a leading rusher every season. He
- 23:18Speaker 5: was also the leading rusher in Houston that year. I've
- 23:21Speaker 5: had him on Fantasy football team he did well.
- 23:23Speaker 4: He did well.
- 23:24Speaker 5: While Singletary has never rushed for one thousand yards in
- 23:26Speaker 5: the season, he's had a very talented He's been a
- 23:29Speaker 5: very talented back so far in his career. In twenty
- 23:32Speaker 5: twenty three, he had eight hundred ninety eight yards and
- 23:35Speaker 5: four touchdowns. In twenty twenty four so far fifty six
- 23:38Speaker 5: carries twenty twenty one yards in two touchdowns. In his career,
- 23:41Speaker 5: Singletary has produced forty two hundred and forty six rushing
- 23:44Speaker 5: yards and twenty two touchdowns on nine hundred and thirty carries.
- 23:47Speaker 5: That's four point six per carry, and has one hundred
- 23:49Speaker 5: and eighty four receptions for twelve hundred and twenty two
- 23:51Speaker 5: yards and four touchdowns. He eclipsed six hundred and eighty
- 23:54Speaker 5: rushing yards in each of his first five seasons in NFL,
- 23:57Speaker 5: making him one of thirty one backs in the NFL
- 23:59Speaker 5: history to accomplish that feat. He is one of six
- 24:02Speaker 5: running backs from US for eight hundred plus shars in
- 24:04Speaker 5: each of his previous three seasons. Singletary is one of
- 24:07Speaker 5: the five running back to surpass nine to fifty six
- 24:10Speaker 5: nine hundred and fifty six yards for scrimmage in each
- 24:12Speaker 5: of the last five seasons. We just gassed him up.
- 24:15Speaker 5: This man is of making some place. Man, he's extremely productive.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean anytime you're on a list when it
- 24:20Speaker 3: says one to thirty one to ever play this game.
- 24:22Speaker 4: Hm, okay, ye, respect, you got me. Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 3: No, he's a good player, and I think it's not
- 24:27Speaker 3: an Obviously, Saquon Barkley did his thing in New York
- 24:30Speaker 3: for a long time, but they did a good job
- 24:32Speaker 3: replacing him. And Singletary is a dude that, again is
- 24:35Speaker 3: capable if you let him.
- 24:37Speaker 4: So.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Seahawks a lot one hundred sixteen yards on the grand
- 24:39Speaker 3: last week, which is the second time an opponent has
- 24:40Speaker 3: gone for over one hundred yards this season. The Seahawks
- 24:43Speaker 3: ranked fourteenth against the run one hundred and sixten yards
- 24:45Speaker 3: per game, the big outlier one hundred and eighty five
- 24:47Speaker 3: giving up to the Patriots. So definitely don't want to
- 24:49Speaker 3: see Singletary going off. But someone we do want to
- 24:52Speaker 3: see go off, our boy, Ken Walker. He returned the
- 24:55Speaker 3: line up in a huge way last week against the Lions.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Twelve carries eighty yards, three of them things, three touchdowns,
- 25:00Speaker 3: four exceptions thirty six yards. That was Walker's first ever
- 25:04Speaker 3: three touchdown game and the last Sea ought to have
- 25:06Speaker 3: three rushing touchdowns in a game with Besmode himself Marshawn
- 25:09Speaker 3: Lynz first these Giants actually in two thouy and fourteen. Currently,
- 25:14Speaker 3: Walker's twenty one career rushing touchdowns. His next will tie
- 25:17Speaker 3: Ricky Waters for eighth place in franchise history two moral ty,
- 25:20Speaker 3: Russell Wilson for seventh place in three moral ty Chris
- 25:23Speaker 3: Carson for sixth place in franchise history. When it comes
- 25:26Speaker 3: to running now, this is a completely different ball club
- 25:30Speaker 3: with Ken Walker's in the game show is and that's
- 25:31Speaker 3: not in disrespect to Zach Sharbonnet, but they compliment each
- 25:34Speaker 3: other in such a way. When he's out there, he
- 25:36Speaker 3: just does different things. We talked about it last podcast,
- 25:38Speaker 3: his little sumrsault thing back forth. I've never seen anyone
- 25:41Speaker 3: break a tackle that way.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Nah, it was It was interesting.
- 25:45Speaker 5: I saw it and didn't believe what I saw until
- 25:47Speaker 5: I saw the replay and I go, yeah, we definitely
- 25:49Speaker 5: saw that.
- 25:50Speaker 2: That was.
- 25:50Speaker 4: That was crazy.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Well, and Gen Mueller and John Boyle record the Inside
- 25:54Speaker 3: podcast earlier and they were talking about that, and Jen
- 25:57Speaker 3: forgot to ask him about it postgame because the a
- 25:58Speaker 3: lot was going on in the locker room. But when
- 26:00Speaker 3: she caught up with him, he's like, of course I
- 26:02Speaker 3: knew I wasn't down. Why do you think I didn't
- 26:03Speaker 3: skip a beat? And it's just like for someone to
- 26:05Speaker 3: be that in tune of their body nor they're doing.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Ken Walker he's a special human being. This year, he's
- 26:10Speaker 3: got one hundred and eighty three yards on thirty two
- 26:12Speaker 3: carries and four touchdowns on the season. Giants are the
- 26:14Speaker 3: middle of the pack when it comes to stopping the run,
- 26:16Speaker 3: rake of fifteenth, allowing one hundred and eighteen yards per game.
- 26:18Speaker 3: So definitely want to see ken Walker doing his thing
- 26:20Speaker 3: this Sunday K nine.
- 26:22Speaker 1: We love it.
- 26:23Speaker 5: We want more of it. Feed that man the football. Yes,
- 26:26Speaker 5: all right, now let's focus on some Giants. He got
- 26:28Speaker 5: Malik Neighbors, who you mentioned in one Del Robinson against
- 26:31Speaker 5: the Seahawks secondary. Malik was drafted sixth overall in twenty
- 26:35Speaker 5: twenty four. That was a big pick because everyone was
- 26:37Speaker 5: asking it, are you going, QB, What are you gonna do?
- 26:39Speaker 3: There?
- 26:39Speaker 5: They go wide receiver to try to help Daniel Jones.
- 26:41Speaker 5: He leads the NFL with thirty five receptions. He's second
- 26:44Speaker 5: in the NFL with three hundred and eighty six yards
- 26:46Speaker 5: and tied for third with three touchdowns receptions. He is
- 26:49Speaker 5: the first player in the NFL history to post that
- 26:51Speaker 5: combination of numbers through his first four career games. It
- 26:54Speaker 5: was love with these rookies, man. Jane Daniel's doing things
- 26:56Speaker 5: ain't been done before. This guy doing things. Big ups
- 26:59Speaker 5: all those rickies out there man. According to a Live
- 27:02Speaker 5: Sports Burrow, neighbors thirty five receptions is the second highest
- 27:05Speaker 5: four game total to start his career in league history.
- 27:08Speaker 5: Neighbors had twelve catches for one to fifteen and the
- 27:10Speaker 5: Giants loss against Dallas last Thursday, and had ten for
- 27:12Speaker 5: one to twenty seven against Washington September fifteenth. He's the
- 27:16Speaker 5: first player with ten plus receptions and one hundred plus
- 27:19Speaker 5: yards in his first four games in a Giants uniform.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Neighbors joins Nkua last year poking the cool You remember
- 27:25Speaker 5: his year right last year. That's the only NFL player
- 27:27Speaker 5: with two such games among their first four career contests.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Neighbor is a third rookie with at least ten receptions
- 27:33Speaker 5: in one hundred yards in a primetime game since nineteen seventy,
- 27:37Speaker 5: joining Hall of famer Jerry Rice. Goodness, gracious, you already
- 27:42Speaker 5: mentioned with Jerry Rice in four games. Yes, that's crazy, man,
- 27:46Speaker 5: that's crazy. Nineteen eighty five. Excuse me? And in former
- 27:49Speaker 5: Giant Odell Beckham who did this thing too, man, His
- 27:52Speaker 5: Odell Beckham's career has been crazy the start of it.
- 27:54Speaker 5: He's gonna be the greatest receiver of all time. Man,
- 27:57Speaker 5: But you know how injuries do? It happens to you.
- 28:00Speaker 5: He's been targeted fifty two times of the Giants one
- 28:03Speaker 5: hundred and forty five total pass attempts, including one that
- 28:07Speaker 5: he threw.
- 28:07Speaker 4: He threw a pass.
- 28:08Speaker 3: I didn't know that.
- 28:08Speaker 4: What game was that? You remember that game? He threw
- 28:10Speaker 4: a pass?
- 28:10Speaker 3: I should, but I do not.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Man, Okay, neighbors versatile so far they share, like I mentioned,
- 28:15Speaker 5: three out of six three touchdowns.
- 28:17Speaker 4: This guy is a baller. Will he be available is
- 28:19Speaker 4: the question?
- 28:19Speaker 2: No?
- 28:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean they're a completely different team without him.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I mean the fact that he's been He's thirty five
- 28:25Speaker 3: percent of their targets is wild.
- 28:27Speaker 4: That's nuts.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Games And wasn't the old you know, the old saying like, hey, receivers,
- 28:31Speaker 3: it takes a while you're learning a new offense. You're
- 28:33Speaker 3: not in the spread anymore, pro style, blah blah blah.
- 28:35Speaker 3: It's gonna take a couple of years with the light,
- 28:37Speaker 3: no moss. These boys are doing the thing and shout
- 28:41Speaker 3: out to Giants dot Com for all that information. They
- 28:43Speaker 3: neighbors is on a different level right now. So that's
- 28:46Speaker 3: definitely something you want to watch for inconcussion protocol. Again,
- 28:49Speaker 3: something we might not know until Sunday. But he's got
- 28:52Speaker 3: a partner in crime. Also, Wandelle Robinson's also doing his thing.
- 28:56Speaker 3: He's now in his third NFL season. He's off his
- 28:58Speaker 3: best start by far. He's fifteen the NFL with twenty
- 29:01Speaker 3: six receptions. And also this is the one that jumps
- 29:03Speaker 3: out to me. He leads the NFL fifteen receptions on
- 29:06Speaker 3: third down Okay, clutch and neighbors a second with twelve.
- 29:09Speaker 3: But somehow when they're at home they can't get in
- 29:11Speaker 3: the end zone.
- 29:12Speaker 4: That's that's interesting.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Something about between twenty zone the red zone.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Hawk can be better than the red zone too.
- 29:17Speaker 3: So yeah, no, that'll definitely be something to watch. Twenty
- 29:19Speaker 3: six receptions, one hundred and niney four yards, one touchdown
- 29:22Speaker 3: on the season. So the seahawksford the third week in row,
- 29:24Speaker 3: we're gonna be tested outside.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:26Speaker 3: You have the Dolphins, Y had Tyrey Kelly, had Wattle
- 29:28Speaker 3: last week had Armon Rossaint Brown. So they're seventh against
- 29:31Speaker 3: the pass, which took a little bit of a hit
- 29:33Speaker 3: last week Becausejared Gough had such a good game. But
- 29:35Speaker 3: this will be another one where if he is playing,
- 29:37Speaker 3: you gotta be on your a game. But I'm gonna
- 29:38Speaker 3: love to watch that matchup. If Reek and Spoon and
- 29:41Speaker 3: Trey Brown, all those guys cover neighbors out there.
- 29:43Speaker 5: Yeah, man, let's get her done. Because we know we're
- 29:46Speaker 5: talented on the back end, so let let's lock these
- 29:48Speaker 5: dudes up. I just talk about our receivers. DK, Metcatz,
- 29:51Speaker 5: Harl Lockett and JSN Another week, another solid performers. Buy
- 29:55Speaker 5: these wide receivers. DK against Detroit seven receptions for one
- 29:59Speaker 5: hundred and four. He' came the first player in Seahawk
- 30:02Speaker 5: history to have three consecutive one hundred yard games.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Well done, Dk, well done, but this is what he does.
- 30:10Speaker 4: This is fifteenth one hundred yard game in his career.
- 30:13Speaker 5: DK's three hundred and sixty six receiving yards are third
- 30:15Speaker 5: best in the NFL. His twenty four receptions are eighth
- 30:18Speaker 5: best in the NFL. He has forty five receiving touchdowns
- 30:20Speaker 5: his twenty nineteen, which makes him tied for fourth in
- 30:24Speaker 5: the NFL. Goodness gracious DK. Don't forget his homies. Got
- 30:27Speaker 5: JSA who has twenty five receptions for two twenty six.
- 30:30Speaker 5: You got Tyler Lockett eighteen receptions for one ninety nine.
- 30:34Speaker 5: This is why this group is ranked number one when
- 30:37Speaker 5: it comes to pass the game in the league. And
- 30:39Speaker 5: don't forget Geno. Of course he's throwing on the football,
- 30:40Speaker 5: but you need receivers a cash that thing, man, These
- 30:42Speaker 5: guys are doing exactly that.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Yeah. And the Giants they're about middle of the pack
- 30:46Speaker 3: when it comes to stop. In the past a lout
- 30:47Speaker 3: of one hundred and ninety three yards per game. They've
- 30:49Speaker 3: been doing their thing. And at this point I feel
- 30:51Speaker 3: like I just expect you had to get one hundred
- 30:54Speaker 3: yards every week, Hundo, So seventeen hundred on the season,
- 30:56Speaker 3: that's good. It'll be good to go. Yeah, appreciate you.
- 30:58Speaker 3: All Pro first team on flopit and over. The last
- 31:02Speaker 3: match I want to look at is the Giants. They
- 31:04Speaker 3: got pass rushers, but they do man, they got pass
- 31:07Speaker 3: rushers and it's funny because they didn't. Also, before you
- 31:10Speaker 3: even get into their pass rushers, this is that unit
- 31:13Speaker 3: without Leonard Williams.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Yeah, imagine if Leonard was in that thing.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Dang.
- 31:16Speaker 3: So we got Brian Burns, Caveon Thibodeau, Dexter Lawrence. So
- 31:20Speaker 3: the crazy thing is they didn't have a lot of
- 31:22Speaker 3: sacks last year, and which is wild because Kaveon Thibodeau
- 31:25Speaker 3: had eleven and a half sacks, twelve TFLs and sixteen
- 31:27Speaker 3: QB hits. They were twenty ninth in sacks last year. Crazy,
- 31:31Speaker 3: but that doesn't take anything away from this unit of guys. Thibodeau,
- 31:34Speaker 3: You guys remember out here in the Paific Northwest, went
- 31:37Speaker 3: to Oregon, was a standout there. Really came into his
- 31:39Speaker 3: own in his second season. Former high school with sharbat A.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Believe they both went to oldest Christians. Oh yeah, yeah, man,
- 31:46Speaker 3: you got that first round pick. Then you got Brian Burns,
- 31:49Speaker 3: who's also a former first round pick in twenty nineteen.
- 31:51Speaker 3: They got him from the Panthers and he's a pass
- 31:54Speaker 3: rush specialist for sure. Tree time Pro bowler forty seven
- 31:57Speaker 3: career sacks in six seasons. When he got the og
- 32:01Speaker 3: Dexter Lawrence, yet another former first round pick of the
- 32:04Speaker 3: Giants having that front seven. He's coming off back to
- 32:06Speaker 3: back Pro Bowls. Last year, he had fifty three tackles,
- 32:08Speaker 3: four and a half sacks, twenty one QB hits from
- 32:10Speaker 3: the interior. Yeah, so he's bringing it there this year.
- 32:13Speaker 3: He's got twelve tackles, three sacks, two TFLs, six QB hits.
- 32:17Speaker 3: He's their leading sacker on the season for the Giants.
- 32:20Speaker 3: But this Seahawks offensive mind their battle tested, right at
- 32:23Speaker 3: least last week, they got their biggest test. Aiden Hutchinson,
- 32:26Speaker 3: the NFL league leader in sacks. He did not register
- 32:28Speaker 3: a stat last game, but affected that game. I was
- 32:31Speaker 3: gonna say it doesn't mean he didn't the game, huh,
- 32:33Speaker 3: but it was a good It was a good test
- 32:34Speaker 3: and right Stone fourth Ice was out there. He did
- 32:36Speaker 3: his thing as much as he could. So this offensive
- 32:38Speaker 3: unit's been tested in Trot's a good defense. They're gonna
- 32:40Speaker 3: get tested again, so I'm excited to see what they
- 32:43Speaker 3: can do. The Hawks have allowed eleven sacks this season,
- 32:46Speaker 3: which is twelve most in the NFL, a number they
- 32:48Speaker 3: want to stay there and not go up, so they're
- 32:50Speaker 3: gonna get another test on Sunday. But bump man, let
- 32:53Speaker 3: us know how the Seahawks can get back on track.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Pat the victory after forty five Wait for the staff.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Michael Dixon puts it down.
- 33:02Speaker 3: That kick is away and that kick in is gone.
- 33:06Speaker 3: To say on when.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Fit's gun, it's a path to victory on Hawk Talk.
- 33:11Speaker 5: Like you said, man, you gotta get back on track.
- 33:13Speaker 5: You suffer your first loss of the season. You want
- 33:15Speaker 5: to see how people respond. What's the vibe like it
- 33:18Speaker 5: feels positive in this building right now. I don't feel
- 33:20Speaker 5: like these guys are doubting themselves. Man, but you gotta
- 33:24Speaker 5: start by getting after this Giants offense. They got some
- 33:27Speaker 5: talented players. We'll see if you know neighbors is there,
- 33:29Speaker 5: but they are not the Detroit Lions. Detroit Lions had
- 33:32Speaker 5: talent everywhere. Two running backs, tight end, couple receivers. They
- 33:35Speaker 5: got to put pressure on this quarterback early and often. Man,
- 33:38Speaker 5: he likes to turn the ball over. Make him do
- 33:40Speaker 5: exactly that make the Giants one dimensional. If you can
- 33:43Speaker 5: stop the run and say, look, man, Daniels, go ahead
- 33:45Speaker 5: and win this game.
- 33:45Speaker 2: I like it.
- 33:46Speaker 5: Or even if man, you know what flip it. If
- 33:48Speaker 5: you if he can decon dunk a little bit. You
- 33:50Speaker 5: know what I'm saying. It's whatever is required to win
- 33:53Speaker 5: this game.
- 33:53Speaker 4: You do it. Make them one dimensional. I like that
- 33:56Speaker 4: that trend of thop, no.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Question about it. I mean, like we said, if Neighbors
- 33:59Speaker 3: is active, he just can't go off right. He is
- 34:02Speaker 3: still a rookie, you know, show him some stuff he
- 34:04Speaker 3: hasn't seen before. Defensively, some different looks. We have a
- 34:06Speaker 3: great secondary, So definitely be watching those matchups. And offensively,
- 34:10Speaker 3: Ryan and Grubb, Geno Smith, keep doing your bag, man, hey,
- 34:13Speaker 3: keep doing it. Keep dancing. They proving right now. Oh
- 34:15Speaker 3: come on, I'll get it. But this is the most
- 34:18Speaker 3: confident I have been in the Seahawks offense in a
- 34:21Speaker 3: long time. And you know, somebody, and.
- 34:22Speaker 4: It's not even the most explosive offense either.
- 34:24Speaker 3: It isn't. And some might say that's recency biased because
- 34:27Speaker 3: like even the beginning of twenty twenty, that that offense
- 34:30Speaker 3: was going off, Brian Schottenneimer was in his bag. A
- 34:32Speaker 3: lot of people feel certain type of way. But Darryl
- 34:35Speaker 3: Bevill led a very explosive offense when the Seahawks won
- 34:39Speaker 3: a Super Bowl and got back to back Super Bowls, right,
- 34:41Speaker 3: but just right now, I'm just confident in the way
- 34:43Speaker 3: that they're going about it. Ryan Grubb's confidence, how he
- 34:46Speaker 3: calls his game, the Seahawks different ways to win and
- 34:49Speaker 3: to beat you and to adjust when you're not playing
- 34:53Speaker 3: well or one thing isn't working. So I'm just I
- 34:56Speaker 3: have all the confidence in the world and they're showing it.
- 34:58Speaker 3: And I got that last week when they went total
- 34:59Speaker 3: to with a really good team. In my opinion, I
- 35:02Speaker 3: think they should have won that game. A lot of
- 35:03Speaker 3: other factors going on, but it definitely wasn't because of
- 35:05Speaker 3: the offense. So keep doing your thing and then bump
- 35:08Speaker 3: for me. Keep Gino clean, man. He was under a
- 35:10Speaker 3: lot of pressure last week. He didn't get sacked a
- 35:11Speaker 3: million times. But if you keep him clean and let
- 35:13Speaker 3: him work in the pocket, get to the line of
- 35:15Speaker 3: screamers fifteen seconds on playclock to his thing, a lot
- 35:18Speaker 3: of good things happen for this offense.
- 35:19Speaker 5: Yep, and uh, let's let's give DK the ball. Let's
- 35:22Speaker 5: get four one. It's working, Okay. If it ain't broke,
- 35:25Speaker 5: don't fix it. Give give ken Walker that rock. Sprinkle
- 35:29Speaker 5: in some JSN and some locket AJ Barner has a rive,
- 35:32Speaker 5: give him the football as well. Man protect home field
- 35:35Speaker 5: and let's go four and one.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Absolutely four and one. We don't want to get ahead
- 35:38Speaker 3: of ourselves to Seahawky to take care of business, but
- 35:41Speaker 3: we know it's another short week with the big bad
- 35:43Speaker 3: forty nine ers looming four days after this game, so
- 35:46Speaker 3: Seahawks need to take care of business at home. That's
- 35:48Speaker 3: gonna do it for us. Reminder you can catch us
- 35:50Speaker 3: everywhere Seahawks dot com, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube series x
- 35:54Speaker 3: M and more. He's Michael Bumbas on Nasachobe. This has
- 35:58Speaker 3: been another edition of Hawked. Hopefully we'll be talking to
- 36:01Speaker 3: you on Monday about a Seahawks victory
