- 0:01Speaker 1: Get it off your chest comments you'll feel better. Welcome
- 0:04Speaker 1: to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Makes one on two point nine am Bailing a Kid
- 0:07Speaker 2: Candic slom Pass producer Poo. We did have some crazy,
- 0:09Speaker 2: dirty little secrets last week that ended up in a proposal.
- 0:13Speaker 2: And if you missed that, well we got news because
- 0:16Speaker 2: the guy who proposed to his ex girlfriend dumped a
- 0:19Speaker 2: girl two days before that. She's coming on Thursday, Sweet Thursday.
- 0:24Speaker 2: It's seven thirty. I wanted her to come on tomorrow
- 0:26Speaker 2: so bad, but you can't. She's got to work and
- 0:28Speaker 2: it's just a job. You can't just be like, well,
- 0:30Speaker 2: i'll be back in an hour, right, So Thursday, seven thirty.
- 0:33Speaker 1: We will talk to the acts.
- 0:34Speaker 2: If you have a secret, you let us know eight
- 0:36Speaker 2: three three seven eight seven one o two nine and
- 0:39Speaker 2: you have one.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm calling because I feel guilty about something that
- 0:44Speaker 3: should feel like a win. I've been dating my boyfriend
- 0:48Speaker 3: for a couple of years now and I just got
- 0:50Speaker 3: a promotion and raised like a big one nice congratulations,
- 0:56Speaker 3: thank you. I know, I'm super excited. I'll be making
- 0:59Speaker 3: significently more money than I was before, and definitely more
- 1:04Speaker 3: than my boyfriend. And he has no idea.
- 1:06Speaker 1: All right, why does he know really well?
- 1:10Speaker 3: Because I hate that I'm hiding it. I want to
- 1:13Speaker 3: be excited, I do. I want to celebrate, but like
- 1:16Speaker 3: every time I've been open about my success in the past,
- 1:19Speaker 3: like he gets weird. Ah okay, not mad or anything,
- 1:24Speaker 3: just really quiet, distant almost like you know, he's competing
- 1:27Speaker 3: with me instead of cheering for me, and so he's
- 1:30Speaker 3: very old school provider mindset. And I already feel like
- 1:35Speaker 3: how this will land, like how it would hiten you
- 1:37Speaker 3: go right, Like he's going to feel emasculated knowing that
- 1:41Speaker 3: I make more than he does. So instead of telling him,
- 1:44Speaker 3: I downplay everything and change the subject.
- 1:46Speaker 1: No, No, see that's no.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I hate this for you because that's not fair. No,
- 1:51Speaker 2: you should celebrate stuff like this is a big deal.
- 1:54Speaker 2: He should want to celebrate with you.
- 1:56Speaker 1: He should be proud you're with him. Yeah, I agree
- 2:00Speaker 1: with that.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Like I hate that I feel like I have to
- 2:03Speaker 3: carry this win alone, you know. Yeah, And now I'm
- 2:06Speaker 3: stuck asking myself, like am I being too sensitive or
- 2:09Speaker 3: am I ignoring a massive red flag a couple of
- 2:12Speaker 3: years into this relationship because.
- 2:14Speaker 2: You're not being too sensitive? No, you're not. I don't
- 2:17Speaker 2: think you're being too sensitive at all. If anything, you're
- 2:19Speaker 2: being well, I mean you're being sensitive to his needs,
- 2:22Speaker 2: but you're ignoring yours, right, so, which is not healthy?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I'm your light. Isn't that what they say?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yep?
- 2:28Speaker 1: Right, he's got to get over it, right.
- 2:31Speaker 2: If his ego is too fragile to celebrate you, that's
- 2:34Speaker 2: a red flag to me.
- 2:35Speaker 1: First of all, it's twenty twenty six.
- 2:37Speaker 2: If there's a man out there that doesn't feel comfortable
- 2:40Speaker 2: that his wife or his girlfriend in this case makes
- 2:43Speaker 2: more than him, you got to ask yourself why, why
- 2:46Speaker 2: why is that the case for you? Because it's nothing
- 2:48Speaker 2: to do with you. It's all inside of him. And
- 2:51Speaker 2: I get there's a masculine aspect to it.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I get that too. You could still.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Providing for a woman is much more than just financial.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Financial has something to do with it, but it's much
- 2:59Speaker 2: more more than just that.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Well, if he won't accept it, I know somebody who will.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, right here, right now, Yeah, come on down, sugar, Mama.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Loves a winner. But seriously, though, that's it's just not
- 3:14Speaker 1: fair to you.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I mean he should now in fairness to him though,
- 3:17Speaker 2: if you haven't told him, then he has.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, he hasn't had a chance to react.
- 3:22Speaker 2: But you also are trusting your instincts and you know
- 3:24Speaker 2: how it's felt before, so I trust you on that too.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So man, that sucks.
- 3:31Speaker 3: You know, that's obviously this is not coming.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Do we lose you? Oh no, hopefully not. Hello Breadwinner,
- 3:38Speaker 1: Hello sugar Mama. Oh no. The first thing you need
- 3:42Speaker 1: to do with that raise is buy a new phone.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Can you hear me?
- 3:46Speaker 2: Now?
- 3:48Speaker 3: The spot?
- 3:52Speaker 2: I know it's not your fault. It's okay, now your
- 3:55Speaker 2: fault at all. But so what do you think you're
- 3:58Speaker 2: going to do? I mean, do you think you're gonna
- 4:00Speaker 2: tell him eventually? Do you think you're gonna have to
- 4:02Speaker 2: come out and say it?
- 4:04Speaker 3: I mean, okay, part of me thinks like, you're right,
- 4:07Speaker 3: Like if I need to tell him because you know
- 4:10Speaker 3: you can't, you can't have a relationship on keeping secrets
- 4:13Speaker 3: and lives and whatever. So like, and and you're right,
- 4:16Speaker 3: he needs to figure out his own stuff around this,
- 4:18Speaker 3: and if he can't deal with it, then then it
- 4:22Speaker 3: isn't gonna work.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and too, I mean, if you guys are serious
- 4:25Speaker 2: and you go down that path together where you're gonna
- 4:27Speaker 2: be a forever couple. Then you're gonna talk about finances,
- 4:30Speaker 2: you're gonna talk about budgeting.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It's gonna come out anyway.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Let us know what happens though, but don't forget about yourself.
- 4:36Speaker 1: And you know, yeah, congrats, congrats
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you, thank you,
