- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on.
- 0:06Speaker 4: Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:09Speaker 5: Speed Demon.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Speed Demon. It's Kiss FM. Good morning, everybody. Nice to
- 0:14Speaker 1: see you.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Hello.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Bright and early. Oh, yeah. Hi, Sydney. Hi, Tanya.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 0:19Speaker 1: How's the back room back there?
- 0:20Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 0:21Speaker 6: Who do we got?
- 0:21Speaker 1: We got Ruby. We got an intern. Is Michaela over
- 0:24Speaker 1: there in the corner?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Michaela made it back.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Oh, Michaela. We got Michaela. You got stuck in the Nor'easter.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I did.
- 0:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:33Speaker 1: What was that like? I saw it on the news.
- 0:35Speaker 1: It looked pretty intense.
- 0:37Speaker 7: You couldn't even walk from the car to like the
- 0:40Speaker 7: house without getting drenched. The winds were like 50, 60
- 0:43Speaker 7: miles an hour. I was by the water in Newport.
- 0:46Speaker 7: It was for a wedding.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Newport, Rhode Island.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Rhode Island.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. Not Newport OC.
- 0:51Speaker 4: It was crazy.
- 0:52Speaker 7: I had to wear, good thing I brought two dresses
- 0:54Speaker 7: because my first one was soaked.
- 0:56Speaker 5: No.
- 0:57Speaker 6: No.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Were you a little bit relieved? You got like one
- 1:01Speaker 1: more day off or were you stressed to not get back?
- 1:03Speaker 7: I was stressed because I had a connecting flight. So
- 1:07Speaker 7: those kept getting, I was going to miss all of those.
- 1:10Speaker 7: So when my first flight was delayed, like twice, I
- 1:12Speaker 7: kept missing the connection flights. So I was just having
- 1:16Speaker 7: anxiety the entire time.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So do we ever figure out why they don't call
- 1:21Speaker 1: a North Easter? Why, why is it just North Easter?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Where's the thug? Did anybody look that up yesterday?
- 1:27Speaker 8: No.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Well, Why is it Nor'easter, not North'easter?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Mark's looking it up right now.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Mark.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It is sailor slang.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Oh, sailor slang.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I know a lot of sailor and trucker slang.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Wait, that makes it even cooler.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yes, it's like that. Now, why say the North? It's Nor'easter. Nor'easter. So,
- 1:50Speaker 1: Ryan's Roses coming up this morning. No shortage of infidelity.
- 1:56Speaker 1: This is interesting. So unsolicited and random advice from her
- 2:00Speaker 1: doctor left her feeling uneasy about her marriage. So I
- 2:04Speaker 1: guess the husband and the wife go to the same doc,
- 2:08Speaker 1: and the doctor didn't violate the Hippocratic oath, but did
- 2:16Speaker 1: kind of drop hints about something that she, the wife,
- 2:19Speaker 1: should worry about in the category of possibly infidelity. Wow.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So we haven't had one like that.
- 2:28Speaker 8: No.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Do you go to the same doctors as your spouses?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Is that a good idea?
- 2:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Michael and I do actually.
- 2:37Speaker 1: And do you talk about each other's results?
- 2:41Speaker 6: Uh, sure.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Michael and I do, but not me and the doctor.
- 2:43Speaker 1: No, that's what I'm saying. Does the doc say, Hey,
- 2:45Speaker 1: Michael's looking great. Or Michael's got a rash.
- 2:47Speaker 8: No, but sometimes I'm like, I'm like, Hey, Dr. D
- 2:50Speaker 8: I'm like, can you convince him to get his vasectomy?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Like, I'm just, you know, push that.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 2:55Speaker 2: And she'll like giggle, but like, doesn't really ever answer
- 2:58Speaker 2: me straight.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Does he, has he done it?
- 3:00Speaker 2: No, he hasn't done it yet.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'll push him.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'd love to talk to him about it.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Well, you don't know anything about it.
- 3:06Speaker 1: You haven't gotten one. I don't know anything about vasectomies.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Do you?
- 3:12Speaker 1: I know everything about vasectomies. What would you like to know?
- 3:17Speaker 1: What is one? The clip and unclipping it hurts. Some
- 3:22Speaker 1: would say I should have had one by now, but no.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I'm looking for a kid one day.
- 3:27Speaker 4: One day.
- 3:29Speaker 1: One Republic will be at our Jingle Ball. So excited.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Do you know what? This is Kiss. And do you
- 3:36Speaker 1: know what I really admire? Hustle. And we have got
- 3:40Speaker 1: real hustlers here that work on this team. And you
- 3:42Speaker 1: should know that. Like, they work hard. Everybody does. Yep.
- 3:46Speaker 1: We do the show. Then there's meetings about the next
- 3:49Speaker 1: show and meetings about Jingle Ball and meetings about Kiss
- 3:52Speaker 1: in general. It's a lot of meetings.
- 3:53Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Everybody shows up ready to take notes and report back
- 3:59Speaker 1: to me.
- 3:59Speaker 2: This is true.
- 4:02Speaker 1: A summary. I like a summary of the meeting facts,
- 4:06Speaker 1: but you know, Jordan specifically in the back room. So
- 4:09Speaker 1: Jordan is a hustler. I admire that. I think it's
- 4:12Speaker 1: a good trait in a person, a young person starting off.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Jordan has three jobs. This one, she's a referee for
- 4:22Speaker 1: eight to 12 year old basketball and, Throws parents out
- 4:25Speaker 1: of the game when they're obnoxious. I mean, she's got it.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Then she works at Jersey Mike's. It's hustle. But today
- 4:34Speaker 1: is special, right? You're doing all three jobs in the
- 4:36Speaker 1: same day? Yeah. I don't know.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I don't know how it happens.
- 4:41Speaker 9: Sometimes when you get hit up to work some games
- 4:44Speaker 9: during the week, I tend to say no. But today
- 4:47Speaker 9: I felt like I have the energy for it. So
- 4:49Speaker 9: let's do it.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Well, you'll be out of here by 10 something.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Yes.
- 4:52Speaker 1: What time's the game?
- 4:53Speaker 9: The games start at 3, and I have like two,
- 4:57Speaker 9: just two quick ones.
- 4:58Speaker 1: And what time are you going to Mike's?
- 5:01Speaker 2: At 5.30. Wow.
- 5:03Speaker 1: That's a real day.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah, this is the Ryan Seacrest way of life.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It is. Totally. I got three or four today.
- 5:09Speaker 9: I got like all my uniforms packed in my car already.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I got three suits with different ties and uniforms. But Jordan,
- 5:18Speaker 1: is this something like, are your parents, are they hard workers?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Is this something that came from them?
- 5:22Speaker 9: Yes, I think we all like to say that we're workaholics.
- 5:25Speaker 9: It's like something we just really need to fill up
- 5:27Speaker 9: our schedule, calendar. If something's not going on, we can
- 5:31Speaker 9: fill it in with something else.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It's a badge of honor now. But later in life,
- 5:36Speaker 1: you want to not be so much of a workaholic.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But now it's good.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's great. I have so much energy and I'm
- 5:43Speaker 2: ready to just give it my all.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But see, I think, you know, it wasn't Oprah talking to,
- 5:49Speaker 1: what was that podcast she was on?
- 5:52Speaker 2: Kiki Palmer.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Kiki Palmer. She was on that podcast and
- 5:56Speaker 1: she was talking about how she believes, Oprah believes that,
- 5:58Speaker 1: you know, Jordan's generation, young people should work really hard,
- 6:04Speaker 1: should hustle, should balance everything and not just, you know,
- 6:08Speaker 1: find something they love and do it for a few hours.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I look, I think it's cool if you can. cover
- 6:16Speaker 1: your costs and bills by just, you know, being an
- 6:18Speaker 1: influence or something like that. We're going to a couple
- 6:20Speaker 1: hours a day, but I think for life, if I
- 6:23Speaker 1: have kid, when I have kid, I will want kids
- 6:28Speaker 1: to hustle like that.
- 6:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Well, Jordan, good luck today. Oh, Tanya. I thought about
- 6:35Speaker 1: you and Robbie all night last night. I went to
- 6:37Speaker 1: bed thinking about the two of you. You told me
- 6:41Speaker 1: to watch the Adam Brody, Kristen Bell series, Nobody Wants Us.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yes, like in 2023.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. So basically, he's a rabbi.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And she's not Jewish.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Correct.
- 6:54Speaker 1: And the thing is, he wants her to convert.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Yes.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And the family does. But she hasn't yet. Correct. So far,
- 7:04Speaker 1: in what I've seen.
- 7:05Speaker 2: You have to.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Did this parallel any of your relationship?
- 7:09Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 7:10Speaker 10: I literally was watching and was like, does this person
- 7:12Speaker 10: listen to my podcast? I created the show because it
- 7:14Speaker 10: was so much our love story because it was just
- 7:18Speaker 10: there were so many parallels and similarities.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 7:21Speaker 10: But it turns out the creator of the show, Aaron Foster,
- 7:24Speaker 10: had the exact same. This is like basically her story
- 7:27Speaker 10: that she has written. And so she had a very
- 7:30Speaker 10: parallel situation.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Her husband now is Jewish.
- 7:32Speaker 4: She converted.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Spoiler alert.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I was, you know, it was funny because I thought,
- 7:37Speaker 1: oh my gosh, this show is good. And Tanya actually
- 7:40Speaker 1: recommended that I watch it. And I really love Adam Brody.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 1: He was on a show I used to watch way
- 7:46Speaker 1: back in the day.
- 7:47Speaker 2: The OC.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 6: Yes.
- 7:49Speaker 1: But I really like him and Kristen Bell.
- 7:52Speaker 2: The two of them together, they.
- 7:53Speaker 10: Really have like a chemistry that I feel like people,
- 7:57Speaker 10: like that hasn't happened in a very long time.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yeah, they're like old school rom-com feel.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yes, yes. But my takeaway was that Some of the
- 8:07Speaker 1: married couples are not so happy. So I don't know
- 8:11Speaker 1: if I might kick the can a little bit on
- 8:13Speaker 1: the marriage thing because every couple is struggling with the marriage.
- 8:17Speaker 2: You can't base your life on a TV show.
- 8:20Speaker 1: What are you talking about? You just said it mirrors
- 8:22Speaker 1: your life.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I know, but I already had lived my life. Like
- 8:25Speaker 2: I met Robbie.
- 8:26Speaker 9: He was Jewish.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I am not Jewish. We had that whole, like the
- 8:29Speaker 2: whole beginning. He wasn't a rabbi. He was not a rabbi.
- 8:31Speaker 1: That would have been amazing. I feel like that's a
- 8:36Speaker 1: little even more intense.
- 8:38Speaker 10: It is a little bit of a step above, but yeah, very,
- 8:41Speaker 10: very similar, but I lived it. And so it's fun
- 8:42Speaker 10: to watch it because it's, Very similar.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I pictured Adam is Robbie to me. You are Kristen Bell.
- 8:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I almost called you to say, guess what I'm doing tonight?
- 8:52Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I wish you would have. That would
- 8:53Speaker 2: have been so cute. I'm trying to get Robbie to
- 8:55Speaker 2: watch it. He hasn't watched it?
- 8:57Speaker 1: How is he not watching that? That's wild.
- 8:59Speaker 2: He hasn't watched it. I thought you guys watched everything together. No,
- 9:02Speaker 2: we have our own separate shows.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Oh, it's the beginning of a step.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Here we go. I had to watch Earl Meets World
- 9:09Speaker 2: on my own. There are a couple things I have
- 9:11Speaker 2: to watch on my own.
- 9:12Speaker 1: First it's that, then it's separate bedrooms, then it's separate
- 9:14Speaker 1: vacations individually.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Separate vacations is diabolical. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So I watched almost all of season two.
- 9:25Speaker 2: We need to start with season one.
- 9:26Speaker 10: Season one is magical and you will go through it
- 9:29Speaker 10: so fast.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But it did get me thinking about marriage is so complicated, right?
- 9:35Speaker 1: The way that they play it out.
- 9:38Speaker 8: It's crazy how similar that situation is. My sister is
- 9:40Speaker 8: the same way. Like, She married a Jewish man and
- 9:43Speaker 8: she came from like a Catholic upbringing.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Did she convert?
- 9:46Speaker 8: No, she never really did, but they just do both things.
- 9:47Speaker 8: They do like Hanukkah and they do Christmas.
- 9:50Speaker 2: That's what we do. And they celebrate all the holidays
- 9:54Speaker 2: and Passover, Easter. Double the fun.
- 9:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm down. Like, I don't, whatever, whatever.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Down.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Whatever my soulmate is, whatever religion they are, that doesn't
- 10:05Speaker 1: matter to me.
- 10:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 10: Right?
- 10:08Speaker 1: Oh, who flirts a lot around here? Michaela. So, Michaela,
- 10:13Speaker 1: coming up, we have got a flirting technique that should
- 10:16Speaker 1: really work to make them drawn to you. plus a
- 10:20Speaker 1: quote of the day coming up kiss 102.7 kiss fm
- 10:25Speaker 1: a flirting technique that is surprisingly effective the most frequent
- 10:33Speaker 1: flirter on this staff would be who do you who
- 10:36Speaker 1: do you think sisany.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Ryan ryan i've never seen him flirt.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You you think it's you ryan No, I don't think so.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Who have I flirted with?
- 10:48Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Who have you seen me flirt with?
- 10:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 10:51Speaker 8: I mean, I'm so removed from the flirting scene.
- 10:55Speaker 1: So what flirting is, it's like this fun little thing
- 11:00Speaker 1: you do to excite yourself when you like somebody, but
- 11:02Speaker 1: you don't know if they like you and it sparks.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Tanya, who have you seen me flirt with?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Loads of people.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Really? Yeah.
- 11:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Give us part of the load.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Is it flirting or is it charm? Just somebody we
- 11:16Speaker 2: had on the show this week. That was flirting?
- 11:19Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. We were in a relationship.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just saying, just as recently as this week,
- 11:25Speaker 2: I saw you flirt.
- 11:27Speaker 10: And I've worked with you for almost 16 years, so
- 11:30Speaker 10: I've seen it many a time.
- 11:32Speaker 2: That was flirting?
- 11:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 11:34Speaker 1: On her part.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I guess. You both were.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I was reciprocating out of respect.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I'm just saying, I've seen you flirt a day or two.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Out of respect. Tubbs used to be a big flirt.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Oh, Tubbs. But his flirting is like nonchalant. You know
- 11:53Speaker 1: what I mean? There's not a lot of charm in
- 11:55Speaker 1: his flirting. He just kind of mumbles things. Don't you remember?
- 11:58Speaker 2: What was his nickname? He was like Tinder Tubbs back
- 12:00Speaker 2: in the day because he flirted with so many women. Flirty.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's a different tempo of flirt. Yeah, much
- 12:10Speaker 1: more laid back. Let's get to this. So a suitable
- 12:16Speaker 1: way of letting someone know you're interested and it works. Michaela,
- 12:20Speaker 1: say their name twice in a conversation.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Ooh, sexy.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Just use their name.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 4: I love when a guy says my name. Yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 3: I do.
- 12:28Speaker 4: So now I have to do that.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Michaela, what are your top three interests?
- 12:34Speaker 2: Michaela.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Well, that sounds good, Michaela. Michaela, may I call you tomorrow, Michaela?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Too much time. Not three times, two times.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Oh, it's three creepy, two? Three is too much. You
- 12:45Speaker 1: can't overdo it?
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Experts say it makes people feel connected. So there you go.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Today's quote, every day, a quote to set the pace,
- 12:55Speaker 1: be yourself so the people looking for you can find you.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I love that.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Oh, that's really good.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Well, thank you.
- 13:04Speaker 10: I tried to go home with the quote yesterday, and
- 13:05Speaker 10: I was like, forget it.
- 13:07Speaker 4: I can't.
- 13:07Speaker 1: It's Kiss. All right, Raven and Lene there. Coming up,
- 13:14Speaker 1: Jingle Ball tickets. Sisney with the headlines now. Kiss FM
- 13:18Speaker 1: headlines with Sisney.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Well, L.A.
- 13:21Speaker 8: County's sales tax rate jumps from 9.75% to 10.25% today
- 13:24Speaker 8: to pay for county health care services, clinics, and public health.
- 13:31Speaker 8: A grand jury indicted a woman on 14 felony counts
- 13:35Speaker 8: after prosecutors say she fired at Rihanna's house while she
- 13:39Speaker 8: and her family were inside. DoorDash announced major updates, including
- 13:44Speaker 8: drone delivery services and.
- 13:46Speaker 2: The ability to text your orders without using the app.
- 13:50Speaker 2: And the L.A. Zoo will open its.
- 13:52Speaker 8: Pets Ofrenda Saturday in observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month
- 13:56Speaker 8: and Dia de los Muertos.
- 13:59Speaker 1: The monster. 102.7 Kiss FM. All right, so we're going
- 14:03Speaker 1: to play this game. It is called Boulevard Avenue or Street.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Boulevard Avenue or Street. And Beatrice is on the line
- 14:14Speaker 1: in Whittier. Good morning, Beatrice.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Good morning.
- 14:17Speaker 11: How are you guys?
- 14:19Speaker 1: We're great. How are you?
- 14:21Speaker 5: Good, good.
- 14:22Speaker 3: A little nervous.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Oh, you're nervous. Okay, what are you up to this morning?
- 14:26Speaker 11: Nothing, just dropped off the kids at school.
- 14:29Speaker 5: I have two in two different high schools.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So it's a little crazy. Busy drop-off. Okay, so basically,
- 14:38Speaker 1: we've got four tickets to our Jingle Ball presented by
- 14:41Speaker 1: Capital One. So excited. It's going to be a great show.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And I'll name a famous Los Angeles road. You tell
- 14:48Speaker 1: me if it's a boulevard, technically, an avenue, or a street.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Are you down?
- 14:54Speaker 3: Hard.
- 14:54Speaker 6: Yes.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You got to get three right before you get three wrong.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:01Speaker 1: First one. Sepulveda. Boulevard, street, or avenue?
- 15:09Speaker 3: Boulevard.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Nice.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Okay, next one. Fairfax. Fairfax. Boulevard, street, or avenue?
- 15:23Speaker 8: Avenue?
- 15:24Speaker 3: It is.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I would have thought it was a street.
- 15:26Speaker 6: No.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I can see Fairfax Street kind of rolling off the tongue.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I mean, I was looking back at the history of
- 15:32Speaker 1: the street. It was called Crescent Avenue. Then about 1912,
- 15:35Speaker 1: they changed it. Okay. Here we go. Next, for the win, Alvarado.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Alvarado Boulevard Street or Avenue.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Oh, that one. I think it's a street.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It is a street.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Very famous street.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Congratulations. You are going to Jingle Ball. It's a big one.
- 16:01Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 16:02Speaker 8: Thank you, guys.
- 16:03Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 16:04Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Yeah, very excited about that. Check it out. If you
- 16:08Speaker 1: want to get your tickets, presented by Capital One, Jingle Ball,
- 16:12Speaker 1: December 4th, Intuit Dome tickets and info, kissfm.com slash Jingle Ball.
- 16:17Speaker 1: We will see you there, Beatrice.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Yes.
- 16:20Speaker 11: Thank you, guys.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Love you. One dance kiss FM Seacrest with you. We're
- 16:28Speaker 1: talking about, you know, tips for flirting earlier. Tanya, you
- 16:32Speaker 1: said that of all the staff, I flirt the most.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 2: And then I remembered we all saw him flirting at
- 16:38Speaker 2: my wedding. Oh, yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 1: But that's like different.
- 16:42Speaker 2: That's like vacation Ryan. So it's all flirting. Not like
- 16:47Speaker 2: day-to-day Ryan.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that was different me.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you see, that is, right?
- 16:52Speaker 8: Vacation Ryan is different.
- 16:53Speaker 10: I'm not saying I see you flirt at work. I
- 16:56Speaker 10: see you, that's not what I said. I said we've
- 16:58Speaker 10: seen you flirt many times.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Well, it was your wedding. I felt inadequate not having
- 17:02Speaker 1: a date, and so I had to flirt with a
- 17:05Speaker 1: couple of the aunts.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And the uncles.
- 17:09Speaker 1: And the uncles as well. I was in a naked
- 17:12Speaker 1: cold plunge with Peaches. What's his name?
- 17:15Speaker 8: Uncle Cookie.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Cookie.
- 17:17Speaker 6: Peaches.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Peaches, cream, cookie. By the way, he bought you guys
- 17:21Speaker 2: matching swimsuits. I need to get it to you.
- 17:25Speaker 1: There's no chance. It is tiny and white. It is
- 17:28Speaker 1: the size of a cocktail napkin. And I am not
- 17:31Speaker 1: putting that around me.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:33Speaker 2: A white swimsuit is a commitment.
- 17:35Speaker 1: He, by the way, he only had it on for
- 17:37Speaker 1: the beginning. Then he took it off in a cold plunge.
- 17:41Speaker 1: This guy, Cookie.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I mean, we know the story.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You know, a cookie and you know, a cookie, like
- 17:49Speaker 1: a regular cookie. Yeah. And then, you know, Cookie Crunch cereal.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 17:53Speaker 1: That's what happened.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 17:57Speaker 2: All right, let's go to Ronnie. Yeah, I gotta get
- 18:00Speaker 2: to Ronnie.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Okay, just stand by one second.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Ronnie's always producing. Ronnie, good morning.
- 18:05Speaker 3: How are you?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Good.
- 18:07Speaker 3: How are you guys doing?
- 18:09Speaker 1: We're so excited that you're giving away free gas out
- 18:12Speaker 1: and about. I know you got fans following you. So
- 18:14Speaker 1: where are you?
- 18:16Speaker 3: I'm at a booming gas station in Huntington Park. I
- 18:20Speaker 3: think I'm actually by a school, but I don't know
- 18:22Speaker 3: what school this is over here. It's like Pacific something.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 3: But it's a booming gas station. And I found a
- 18:30Speaker 3: lady right here. I had to get her because she
- 18:32Speaker 3: was already answering her card in this machine. Hi, ma'am.
- 18:36Speaker 3: I'm Ronnie. We would love to fill up your gas tank.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I have Ryan Seacrest on the phone. Here he is.
- 18:42Speaker 11: Hello.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Hi, who's this?
- 18:44Speaker 11: Hi, my name is Lily.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Hi, Lily.
- 18:47Speaker 1: It's Ryan Seacrest. You're on Kiss FM right now.
- 18:51Speaker 11: Hi, good morning.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Good morning. We're all here. So that's Ronnie. He's the best.
- 18:57Speaker 1: And so we sent him out to just randomly surprise
- 19:00Speaker 1: people and fill up their tank with free gas. Oh,
- 19:02Speaker 1: that's nice.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what he was telling me.
- 19:07Speaker 1: And he's right. You are getting a free tank of
- 19:09Speaker 1: gas this morning.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Oh, that's great, man. He made my day.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Where are you headed?
- 19:17Speaker 4: I'm going home.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Oh, okay, good.
- 19:20Speaker 8: Yeah, just drop off the kids to school.
- 19:22Speaker 6: Nice.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Get him to fill that up, put it on KISS FM,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and thank you so much for talking with us.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Thank you, guys.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Okay. Ronnie?
- 19:31Speaker 3: Bye-bye. Hello.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Hi, Ronnie. Good job. That was a success. One down.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Yeah, she was nice, and there's really a lot of schools.
- 19:41Speaker 3: I see a lot of school buses around here. I'm
- 19:44Speaker 3: at a busy intersection, too, so she's really happy.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Yeah, good. All right. so you're going to stay in
- 19:50Speaker 1: Huntington Park this morning with more free gas. Just look
- 19:54Speaker 1: for Ronnie and the KISS vehicle, and he will hopefully
- 19:58Speaker 1: give you some free gas and fill up that tank.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Great job, Ronnie. I miss you in the studio, though.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I miss you here.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I know.
- 20:06Speaker 3: I'll be back soon.
- 20:08Speaker 1: What do you mean soon? Not soon enough.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Well, probably once the show's done, but I'll see you
- 20:13Speaker 3: guys when you leave.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Perfect.
- 20:16Speaker 1: We look forward to it. All right, Ronnie, more for
- 20:18Speaker 1: you guys. Huntington Park coming up. Kiss FM. Thank you.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Bye, you guys. Bye.
- 20:25Speaker 1: 102.7 Kiss FM. It's time for Ryan's Roses. If you
- 20:30Speaker 1: came for this, here we go. Says my husband and
- 20:35Speaker 1: I go to the same doctor and she encouraged me
- 20:38Speaker 1: to get tested because you, quote, never know people all
- 20:41Speaker 1: the way. She stood there and said several times that
- 20:44Speaker 1: she couldn't violate confidentiality, but she recommended the tests. I
- 20:49Speaker 1: got tested. I was clear. But what she was trying
- 20:53Speaker 1: to tell me was something else.
- 20:58Speaker 3: What?
- 20:58Speaker 1: Let me get Eve in Calabasas. Eve, good morning. What
- 21:02Speaker 1: was she trying to tell you? I'm curious, the doctor.
- 21:06Speaker 12: Yeah, I think there was something that she was trying
- 21:10Speaker 12: to tell me. I think she was trying to get
- 21:12Speaker 12: me thinking about potentially like another partner for my husband, maybe.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Whoa. So what has gone through your mind? What pieces
- 21:26Speaker 1: have you started to put together in your narrative?
- 21:29Speaker 12: Um, well, so things have been pretty normal in terms
- 21:33Speaker 12: of intimacy. I have to be honest, like nothing has
- 21:37Speaker 12: been too crazy. There has been a little bit of
- 21:40Speaker 12: rejection and I think he's been like.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Gone a lot.
- 21:44Speaker 12: So there's things that are now starting to come to
- 21:47Speaker 12: me that I wasn't thinking about initially.
- 21:48Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 21:51Speaker 1: And you think the doctor was, you know, not violating confidentiality,
- 21:54Speaker 1: but giving you this tip.
- 21:58Speaker 8: Yeah, I think so.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Negative. Was there more to the story about someone not
- 22:03Speaker 1: being negative?
- 22:05Speaker 12: No, I mean, I was clear, but it was just.
- 22:09Speaker 1: You were clear. Was she trying to... A doctor trying
- 22:11Speaker 1: to say that your husband was not clear for something?
- 22:12Speaker 12: I mean, that's kind of what I was thinking.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Right, but she can't... You know, she can't tell you
- 22:20Speaker 2: because of.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Well, can you ask your husband? I mean.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I.
- 22:29Speaker 12: I think that he would be very defensive, honestly.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Here's what we are going to do. I understand everything
- 22:38Speaker 1: that we need to understand for this call. I'm going
- 22:41Speaker 1: to put you on hold here for a second. And
- 22:43Speaker 1: then we will come back in just a minute and
- 22:47Speaker 1: we'll call him. Ryan's roses kiss. It's Kiss FM. We
- 22:53Speaker 1: are about to make the Ryan's Roses call. If you
- 22:56Speaker 1: just got here, you got to hear some of these
- 22:58Speaker 1: facts so you understand what's going on. Her husband and her, Eve,
- 23:02Speaker 1: go to this same doctor. And she, the doctor, encouraged
- 23:08Speaker 1: her to take a test specifically. And the doc says, well,
- 23:11Speaker 1: because you never know people all the way. Well, she
- 23:13Speaker 1: stood there and said several times. This is the doctor
- 23:16Speaker 1: said several times that she couldn't violate confidentiality. But she
- 23:22Speaker 1: recommended the test. And remember, she takes care of the
- 23:25Speaker 1: husband too. Eve got tested. She was clear. And now
- 23:32Speaker 1: Eve is thinking, well, was my husband not clear? Is
- 23:36Speaker 1: he with someone else and got a not clear? And
- 23:41Speaker 1: she's in the middle of all of those different narratives
- 23:44Speaker 1: in her head. So we're going to find out. She
- 23:48Speaker 1: said she didn't ask him because she doesn't think he'd
- 23:51Speaker 1: tell the truth.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Yeah, or that he would get defensive.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Let me get Eve, and let's get right into this call.
- 23:57Speaker 1: So if you've got to go somewhere, I'm going to
- 23:59Speaker 1: do it right now. Eve, we are going to call
- 24:02Speaker 1: your husband now. I need you to say, Ryan, you
- 24:04Speaker 1: have my permission to call, and then his name. Go ahead.
- 24:09Speaker 12: Hey, Ryan, you have my permission to call.
- 24:13Speaker 1: We're going to call him.
- 24:13Speaker 3: We're going to call.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Be very quiet while we talk to him. We're going
- 24:17Speaker 1: to try and offer him some romantic roses to see
- 24:19Speaker 1: who he's thinking about. Who's top of mind. Okay. Good luck.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Hello.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Hi, can I speak to Devin please?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Uh, this is he.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Hi Devin. My name is Michelle. I'm calling from Mimi's flowers.
- 24:41Speaker 2: How are you doing this morning?
- 24:43Speaker 3: I'm good, Michelle.
- 24:44Speaker 6: How are you?
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Thank you for asking.
- 24:46Speaker 8: So actually, you know, we deliver here locally in the
- 24:48Speaker 8: Calabasas area and parts of LA as well. And we're
- 24:52Speaker 8: offering a free promotion. And before you hang up, this
- 24:54Speaker 8: is a free dozen roses that you can send to
- 24:56Speaker 8: anybody that you'd like.
- 24:57Speaker 2: They're free. I don't need cash from you or anything
- 24:59Speaker 2: like that. We're just trying to promote our business.
- 25:04Speaker 6: Okay. So a free dozen roses to whoever I like.
- 25:10Speaker 8: Yeah, for anybody that you want to send them to,
- 25:12Speaker 8: we can start with the name and we'll write a
- 25:15Speaker 8: note and get them out by lunchtime.
- 25:19Speaker 6: Was this that silent auction thing in Oak Park?
- 25:24Speaker 8: No, this is a promotion that we do here in
- 25:26Speaker 8: our business about once a month. And we find people
- 25:29Speaker 8: that hopefully want to send flowers to somebody in their
- 25:32Speaker 8: lives and they're free. But if you come back as
- 25:35Speaker 8: a customer, we hopefully you return and then we Gain
- 25:39Speaker 8: your business, essentially.
- 25:40Speaker 5: Okay.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Well, I'm sorry. What was your name again? My name
- 25:44Speaker 2: is Michelle.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Oh, hi, Michelle.
- 25:46Speaker 5: I'm Devin.
- 25:47Speaker 6: It's nice to meet you.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Nice to meet you too, Devin. Who would you like
- 25:49Speaker 2: to send flowers to?
- 25:52Speaker 5: Has anyone ever told you that you have just a
- 25:56Speaker 5: very sexy voice?
- 25:59Speaker 2: No, but thank you very much.
- 26:02Speaker 5: No, seriously, you've got that kind of rasp to your voice,
- 26:06Speaker 5: and it's really quite attractive.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Wow, okay. Thank you.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Where did you grow up?
- 26:11Speaker 2: Well, why don't we start with the person you want
- 26:15Speaker 2: to send the roses to?
- 26:15Speaker 6: Well, can I guess?
- 26:19Speaker 5: Sure. I'm going to say San Diego.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Close.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Orange County. Okay, so who do you want to send
- 26:31Speaker 2: flowers to?
- 26:32Speaker 3: Well, maybe I want to send them to you.
- 26:34Speaker 2: No, you can't send them to me.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Hey, Devin, I'm just sitting back here in my chair
- 26:45Speaker 1: listening to this, listening to you come on to Sissany
- 26:50Speaker 1: here while your wife is also sitting next to me
- 26:54Speaker 1: on the phone here listening to this as well. What
- 26:58Speaker 1: is your intent? What is your intent? Why are you flirting?
- 27:02Speaker 1: with a stranger married to Eve.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Devin, is that how you talk to women on the phone?
- 27:13Speaker 1: Obviously.
- 27:16Speaker 5: What is going on, Eve?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yes, Eve is on the line. Devin, we just heard
- 27:22Speaker 1: you do that with Sisney, a stranger. So we know
- 27:27Speaker 1: what you might be doing with other people. And to
- 27:29Speaker 1: be quite direct... You guys share a doctor, and your
- 27:35Speaker 1: doctor didn't reveal anything about you. But there were hints
- 27:40Speaker 1: or clues that were indicated to Eve to have her
- 27:46Speaker 1: ask a question. And I'll ask that question. Are you
- 27:51Speaker 1: seeing another woman? Are you committing infidelity? Is there anyone
- 27:57Speaker 1: else that you are intimate with while you're married to Eve?
- 28:02Speaker 6: So basically I'm being accused of having an affair. I
- 28:05Speaker 6: can't tell you how ludicrous that is.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Well, you can tell me the truth then.
- 28:12Speaker 6: That's the truth.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Okay. So you guys both took the same test and
- 28:19Speaker 1: her results were negative. Did you get results for a
- 28:24Speaker 1: test recently? I'm not doctor.
- 28:28Speaker 6: Yes.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And what were your results?
- 28:33Speaker 6: Okay, Eve, what is this?
- 28:34Speaker 1: Listen, Dr.
- 28:37Speaker 11: Berry told me to get tested.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Okay, and why?
- 28:43Speaker 11: Why?
- 28:45Speaker 3: What is this?
- 28:49Speaker 6: So why would she say that? She has completely crossed
- 28:52Speaker 6: the line, Eve.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Well, why?
- 28:55Speaker 12: Maybe because, I mean, do you have something? Okay, really,
- 29:00Speaker 12: really quick.
- 29:01Speaker 6: So let me get this straight. Our doctor strongly suggested
- 29:05Speaker 6: that you get tested and implied it was because of
- 29:08Speaker 6: something I have and may have given you.
- 29:10Speaker 12: I mean, well, yeah, yeah. I mean, that's literally what happened.
- 29:16Speaker 6: Okay, Eve, we are, first of all, finding a new
- 29:18Speaker 6: doctor immediately. That is not what that is.
- 29:23Speaker 12: That is, wait, that's not what what is.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Okay, I'm hanging up.
- 29:27Speaker 6: Too many ears.
- 29:29Speaker 5: I'll call you back.
- 29:30Speaker 8: Eve, you should talk to him.
- 29:32Speaker 1: There's nothing else we can ask him, obviously being on
- 29:36Speaker 1: the air. uh but that is not what it is
- 29:39Speaker 1: was very telling key and telling so good luck and
- 29:43Speaker 1: call him right now good luck bye-bye that is not
- 29:52Speaker 1: what that is so that is something it's.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Something but also to the point where the doctor told.
- 29:58Speaker 8: Her to get On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Speed Demon, Justin Bieber, 102.7 KISS FM. Somber coming up
- 30:10Speaker 1: in the trending report. I'm about to pay a bill,
- 30:12Speaker 1: but first, we are on a mission. Even my mom, Michaela,
- 30:17Speaker 1: asks me weekly, has she found someone?
- 30:23Speaker 4: Maybe after this weekend.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Yeah, this could be it.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Yeah, this is exciting.
- 30:27Speaker 1: So, Connie Seacrest, if you're listening on the iHeartRadio app,
- 30:30Speaker 1: listen to this. A couple weeks ago, we had a
- 30:33Speaker 1: woman on the show named Allie Goldberg. She started something
- 30:37Speaker 1: which is unique. It's a live touring show called Love
- 30:40Speaker 1: Is Not Blind or Love Isn't Blind, where single women
- 30:44Speaker 1: choose between four guys on stage, kind of like the dating,
- 30:48Speaker 1: whatever that show was. The dating game?
- 30:50Speaker 5: Was it that?
- 30:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's what it was called. Four guys
- 30:53Speaker 1: in a wall. And you talk to him. So she's
- 30:58Speaker 1: going now to be the picker. She's going up on
- 31:02Speaker 1: stage to be center stage to meet eligible bachelors and
- 31:07Speaker 1: hopefully pick her mate.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 8: And when they're on stage, like Allie goes through their phone,
- 31:12Speaker 8: calls their moms, all that stuff.
- 31:15Speaker 1: So you really get to understand, you know, who they
- 31:17Speaker 1: are spontaneously pretty fast. Is this tomorrow night? It is.
- 31:22Speaker 4: And the guys aren't allowed to speak at all. How
- 31:24Speaker 4: are you.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Going to get to know the guys if they can't talk?
- 31:27Speaker 7: So this is why we call their parents, their mom specifically,
- 31:31Speaker 7: and we ask them questions. Yes or no questions are
- 31:33Speaker 7: one out of ten questions.
- 31:35Speaker 1: What are your questions?
- 31:36Speaker 7: Well, Allie and I have talked about these questions. Don't
- 31:38Speaker 7: want to give any away. But just, you know, things
- 31:40Speaker 7: I want to know about them. Things that will maybe
- 31:43Speaker 7: give away some red flags, some green flags.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Can you distill it down? Like, I think there's always
- 31:50Speaker 1: one question that can tell you a lot about a person.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Can you distill it down to like one thing that
- 31:57Speaker 1: is a red green flag, like a deal breaker or not?
- 32:00Speaker 1: Have you thought about that?
- 32:02Speaker 6: I have.
- 32:02Speaker 7: I mean, even going through their phones, like one thing
- 32:05Speaker 7: that would be a red flag for me is if
- 32:08Speaker 7: they have a lot of thirst traps.
- 32:09Speaker 1: So like, I better erase mine. Yeah, Ryan's out. Ryan's out.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I was just about to post that.
- 32:16Speaker 8: Wait, won't their moms talk great about them, though? Like,
- 32:20Speaker 8: if you're calling the moms?
- 32:22Speaker 4: I mean, maybe, but there's things that I'd want to know.
- 32:24Speaker 7: Like, you know, what's something about him that you think
- 32:28Speaker 7: a woman should know before dating him?
- 32:29Speaker 4: Like, they have to spill the tea. Maybe it would
- 32:32Speaker 4: be something funny, too.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I don't know, but... So let me just tell you,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you can go watch Michaela find her soulmate live on stage.
- 32:41Speaker 1: It's tomorrow at the Pico Union Project downtown. And you
- 32:45Speaker 1: can get tickets, yeah?
- 32:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Loveisntblind.com. 15% off. We got a deal to see Michaela
- 32:54Speaker 1: find love. This is great. 15% off if you say KISS15.
- 32:58Speaker 1: That's the code.
- 33:00Speaker 3: K-I-I-S-1-5.
- 33:02Speaker 1: But if you want to date Michaela and I have
- 33:04Speaker 1: said it testimonially on her hinge, right? This is who
- 33:08Speaker 1: you want. Hard worker, beautiful, a catch. She's been really picky.
- 33:16Speaker 1: So if she picks you, that's a, that's a big deal.
- 33:19Speaker 1: And will you for sure pick one of the guys that,
- 33:23Speaker 1: Are on stage?
- 33:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:25Speaker 7: I do pick one. We go on a date immediately
- 33:27Speaker 7: at the bar after, but then there's also an after party.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Oh, right away?
- 33:30Speaker 1: In real time?
- 33:31Speaker 4: Yes, in real time.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good.
- 33:32Speaker 3: So good.
- 33:33Speaker 6: Get to it.
- 33:33Speaker 7: And then there's an after party after where I can
- 33:36Speaker 7: also mingle with people in the crowd who have single
- 33:39Speaker 7: bracelets on.
- 33:40Speaker 4: So there's a lot of opportunity. I feel like a bachelorette.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Like, this is so cool. Yeah.
- 33:46Speaker 4: I'm excited. Nervous, but excited.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Is Ronnie going to go capture all this? Are we
- 33:49Speaker 1: going to do some video of this for digital?
- 33:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 2: But it also will be.
- 33:53Speaker 4: the full episode will be on YouTube too.
- 33:55Speaker 1: So, Oh my gosh, we get the whole episode. I
- 33:58Speaker 1: gotta wait.
- 33:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:59Speaker 2: I want to be on my couch watching this with popcorn.
- 34:01Speaker 1: So exciting. So love isn't blind.com. Go watch Michaela find
- 34:08Speaker 1: love this. You know what? Why not?
- 34:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 34:11Speaker 1: You're on the apps.
- 34:12Speaker 5: Yep.
- 34:12Speaker 1: They're not working. Why not try this? Exactly.
- 34:17Speaker 6: All right.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I'm very anxious to see all of it go down.
- 34:19Speaker 1: That is Rihanna.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Don't stop the music.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Okay.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Plug into this a trending report. And it's an interesting
- 34:30Speaker 1: question you ask in general. Yes.
- 34:33Speaker 10: The question is, can having haters actually mean you're doing
- 34:35Speaker 10: something right? So somber sat down with L magazine and
- 34:39Speaker 10: revealed the advice that Taylor Swift gave him about dealing
- 34:41Speaker 10: with hate.
- 34:43Speaker 2: And here's what she told him.
- 34:43Speaker 10: She said, if these hate comments go away, maybe you're
- 34:46Speaker 10: not at your peak anymore. He says that he now
- 34:50Speaker 10: sees it as a privilege to be receiving these and
- 34:53Speaker 10: to rise above hate. And he's learned that the hard way.
- 34:56Speaker 10: Last year, he got into an online spat with a
- 34:58Speaker 10: TikToker who criticized him. Now he says, I wouldn't respond now.
- 35:01Speaker 4: I don't engage.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Responding only makes it worse. But not everybody is on board.
- 35:06Speaker 10: Some people online are calling it bad advice, saying you shouldn't.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Brush off real criticism as just haters.
- 35:15Speaker 10: Others says that she's just telling a young artist not
- 35:17Speaker 10: to obsess over the stuff that he can't control. And
- 35:20Speaker 10: I feel like if anybody knows about haters, it's Taylor Swift.
- 35:24Speaker 2: She's always at the peak of her career.
- 35:26Speaker 10: And even just after she dropped these four encore songs,
- 35:29Speaker 10: the online discourse that she's been getting for those songs
- 35:32Speaker 10: is wild. But she's still at the top of her game.
- 35:35Speaker 10: So I feel like she does have a point.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Well, I mean, there's envy, jealousy. There's always going to
- 35:40Speaker 1: be haters with success.
- 35:42Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 35:43Speaker 1: But, I mean, for me, I think... I don't... I
- 35:47Speaker 1: want to... do everything I can to not have one hater.
- 35:52Speaker 5: Really?
- 35:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 35:53Speaker 2: But then you only want one. But you're people pleasing
- 35:56Speaker 2: then at that point, no?
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah. That is my number one mission in life. That
- 36:01Speaker 1: is what I do. I'm a people pleaser. I want
- 36:04Speaker 1: to please you, anybody listening. I want to please anybody
- 36:08Speaker 1: that sits next to me in a restaurant. I want
- 36:11Speaker 1: to please anybody that I meet. That's what I do.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I like that.
- 36:14Speaker 2: But the goal is to be yourself. Yes. Without the haters.
- 36:17Speaker 6: Yes.
- 36:18Speaker 1: I don't think haters are good. I don't think it's good,
- 36:23Speaker 1: like you said. To me, it's not a marker of success.
- 36:29Speaker 1: But maybe for an artist, it can be.
- 36:32Speaker 5: It is.
- 36:33Speaker 1: But no. I literally want to go through every day
- 36:39Speaker 1: creating not a hater.
- 36:41Speaker 10: But is it at the expense of you being yourself?
- 36:45Speaker 10: Are you morphing into just... People, please.
- 36:48Speaker 1: No, but this is me. I am this. So I
- 36:51Speaker 1: am myself.
- 36:51Speaker 2: So you enjoy being that.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I do. I want people to be comfortable, be happy,
- 37:01Speaker 1: be as if they are a friend of mine if
- 37:05Speaker 1: they don't know me. I like that. I don't think
- 37:08Speaker 1: it's draining. I don't think it's a facade. It's just
- 37:12Speaker 1: how I look at it. So success to me would
- 37:14Speaker 1: be to not have any. Now, as I say this,
- 37:16Speaker 1: probably some haters are sending messages.
- 37:20Speaker 2: And let them.
- 37:21Speaker 1: No.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Just let them.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Don't let it affect you.
- 37:24Speaker 2: That's the thing. Don't engage.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't want to engage, but I want
- 37:28Speaker 1: to say, look, let's talk about it.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Tame Impala, Jenny, Dracula. LA's number one hit music station.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Thank you so much for checking in with us, streaming,
- 37:41Speaker 1: whatever it is you do. We love being here, and
- 37:44Speaker 1: hopefully you like it too. Now, let's get to Kim
- 37:48Speaker 1: in Pico Rivera. Kim, good morning and happy Halloween.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Hello, good morning.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Yeah, hi. So Halloween coming up, right? What I understand
- 37:58Speaker 1: here is based on the call screen, it says you're
- 38:02Speaker 1: having a Halloween party. and you don't want to invite
- 38:05Speaker 1: one of your friends. What's up?
- 38:08Speaker 11: So I'm throwing a Halloween party this year, and I've
- 38:11Speaker 11: invited pretty much everyone in my friend group except for
- 38:13Speaker 11: one person. And she's my friend, but honestly, it's just
- 38:17Speaker 11: a lot when she drinks. And last Halloween, she was
- 38:22Speaker 11: dressed as a sexy nun and got completely wasted and
- 38:25Speaker 11: spent most of the night doing shots and making out
- 38:27Speaker 11: with random people. And at one point, she even tried
- 38:29Speaker 11: to kiss my boyfriend as a joke. And it got
- 38:32Speaker 11: really uncomfortable. I spent half the night keeping an eye
- 38:36Speaker 11: on her. And so this year I decided I just
- 38:38Speaker 11: don't want that drama at my party. And the problem
- 38:42Speaker 11: is she just texted me asking what time the Halloween
- 38:45Speaker 11: party starts because she's assuming she's invited. And I don't
- 38:48Speaker 11: want to tell her you're not invited because you can't
- 38:50Speaker 11: handle yourself when you drink. But I also don't want
- 38:52Speaker 11: to make up some stupid excuse. So like, do I
- 38:54Speaker 11: just have the truth and risk her feelings?
- 38:57Speaker 3: Do I make an excuse?
- 38:59Speaker 1: I've been through this. Does she have a partner?
- 39:02Speaker 6: No.
- 39:05Speaker 1: All right, so I have two versions of this. I
- 39:08Speaker 1: knew a person that after a few cocktails would just
- 39:12Speaker 1: get aggressive. And someone had to speak to this person
- 39:16Speaker 1: about that. Then I also had an acquaintance that thought
- 39:22Speaker 1: we were closer than we were. But every time we
- 39:27Speaker 1: would do something with a little group that... person wanted
- 39:31Speaker 1: to be invited and every time this person was invited
- 39:36Speaker 1: they just drained the energy yeah they they they were
- 39:40Speaker 1: a drainer they were not a a equal giver They
- 39:44Speaker 1: were a taker and a drainer and only wanted to
- 39:48Speaker 1: talk about themselves and loudly and squeeze you. Like, body
- 39:53Speaker 1: squeeze me. That's nice.
- 39:54Speaker 2: So annoying.
- 39:56Speaker 1: It was awful. Yeah.
- 39:57Speaker 2: You think that's nice? A nice hug? Like a nice
- 40:00Speaker 2: body squeeze?
- 40:00Speaker 1: No, it's not a nice hug. It's like, you know,
- 40:02Speaker 1: squeezing you when they're talking to you and pulling you.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Oh, I don't like that.
- 40:08Speaker 1: And so I finally had to say, I had to
- 40:10Speaker 1: do an edit. I just say, look, you're a great person,
- 40:16Speaker 1: but I find myself not enjoying myself when you're around
- 40:20Speaker 1: because you really just don't engage with other people. You
- 40:27Speaker 1: just loudly talk about you. It's a bit aggressive. And
- 40:31Speaker 1: so I just think that it's not mean. It's just
- 40:36Speaker 1: that I don't want to spend time with you.
- 40:39Speaker 2: It's not harsh.
- 40:40Speaker 1: It's honest.
- 40:41Speaker 2: It is honest. No, I'm not disagreeing with you.
- 40:43Speaker 8: I think it's important to edit people like this out
- 40:45Speaker 8: of your life because why?
- 40:47Speaker 2: Life is too short for you to be worrying about
- 40:49Speaker 2: this person.
- 40:50Speaker 1: And also take a look at yourself because everybody talks
- 40:52Speaker 1: about you behind your back. You should know. That's what
- 40:57Speaker 1: I said.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Oh, I was like, what does that have to do
- 40:58Speaker 2: with Kim?
- 40:59Speaker 1: Got it.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:00Speaker 1: So Kim, honestly, I understand how compassionate you are. But
- 41:08Speaker 1: if you don't want someone for reasons that are legitimate,
- 41:12Speaker 1: you can tell the person by just being honest. People
- 41:16Speaker 1: will accept it and they might even get better from it.
- 41:20Speaker 1: And you don't need drainers in your life or you
- 41:22Speaker 1: don't need drama in your life. No. I'm tired of it.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Thanks, guys.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Thank you so much for asking, though. I hope you
- 41:31Speaker 1: follow through.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Yeah, good luck, Kim.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I do love that. we have the kind of connection
- 41:39Speaker 1: with people where we can talk about stuff like that,
- 41:41Speaker 1: you know?
- 41:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:41Speaker 1: And, and try and give our best advice, honesty, precise, deliberate,
- 41:47Speaker 1: full stop, not a deep, not a long conversation.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 41:50Speaker 1: It will make you feel better.
- 41:52Speaker 2: On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 41:57Speaker 1: LA's number one hit music station. Seacrest with you.
- 42:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:01Speaker 1: We cover a lot of different things here. But one
- 42:04Speaker 1: of the things that we love to do is try to,
- 42:08Speaker 1: I don't know, handle headaches. And one of the headaches
- 42:12Speaker 1: are expenses. And one of the big expenses in Southern California,
- 42:17Speaker 1: we have to drive more than anybody gas. So we've
- 42:20Speaker 1: been doing this quite a while where we're giving away
- 42:22Speaker 1: free gas out at gas stations randomly, surprising people. At
- 42:27Speaker 1: the last minute this morning, Ronnie, Ronnie Henry is out
- 42:31Speaker 1: with free gas in Huntington Park. So let me grab Ronnie.
- 42:36Speaker 1: There's nothing dull about Ronnie doing this. It actually is
- 42:38Speaker 1: one of my favorite moments of the show. So gas,
- 42:42Speaker 1: what is it, 640 a gallon over that in L.A. County? Ronnie?
- 42:46Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Okay, tell me, just set the scene before we surprise somebody.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Well, right now, so I'm looking at the gas prices.
- 42:56Speaker 3: It's $ 629. Plus is $ 649. Premium is $ 659. So it's
- 43:00Speaker 3: really expensive. I'm here at this gas station, and I
- 43:03Speaker 3: see a lady. She just got out of her Honda,
- 43:06Speaker 3: and she's wearing my favorite color, orange. So I'm going
- 43:08Speaker 3: to go up to her.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Well, that's perfect. I love the way you pick the people.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Let me see. Excuse me.
- 43:15Speaker 6: Hi.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Hi.
- 43:16Speaker 3: I'm with Kiss FM. Our car is right here. I
- 43:19Speaker 3: have Ryan Seacrest on the phone. We'd love to fill
- 43:20Speaker 3: up your gas tank this morning.
- 43:22Speaker 12: Really?
- 43:22Speaker 3: Yes. Here he is. He wants to talk to you.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Hello.

- 43:47Speaker 1: to fill up your tank, no questions asked. You'll get
- 43:49Speaker 1: a free tank of gas this morning.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Oh, that's awesome. Thank you so much. And the prices
- 43:55Speaker 3: are really, really expensive right now.
- 43:57Speaker 1: They keep going up. You made my day.
- 44:00Speaker 3: You made my day.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Great, Catalina. Thank you so much. Where are you headed

- 44:22Speaker 1: Do me a favor.

- 44:28Speaker 9: I will hug him.
- 44:29Speaker 11: Oh, yes, I will.
- 44:31Speaker 8: It's nice. Thank you.

- 44:51Speaker 1: Oh sure ronnie gotta go bye bye he's busy orange
- 44:56Speaker 1: not my favorite color to wear orange is tough for
- 45:00Speaker 1: me orange is tough for me orange is gorgeous though
- 45:04Speaker 1: That was a curveball. I did not picture Ronnie telling
- 45:07Speaker 1: me orange was going to be his favorite shade of garment.
- 45:11Speaker 2: The more you know.
- 45:13Speaker 1: The more you know. Now, by popular demand, Bell Gardens
- 45:18Speaker 1: has been reaching out. And they've been asking, when can
- 45:21Speaker 1: we get Ronnie? What's the answer? Tomorrow. Perfect. Tomorrow, Bell Gardens.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Get ready. Ronnie's out live with free guests. 22.7 KISS FM.
- 45:32Speaker 1: How's your day? What are you guys doing next? Isn't he, Tanya?
- 45:35Speaker 2: Keeping the music going.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Keeping the music. She's the music director going to a meeting. Tanya,
- 45:40Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 45:41Speaker 2: Going to a meeting as well.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Oh, a meeting for what?
- 45:44Speaker 2: Our jock meeting.
- 45:45Speaker 11: Great.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Let me know what happens.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Yeah, don't you worry. I'll give you the lowdown.
- 45:51Speaker 12: All right.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Well.
- 45:52Speaker 2: What are you doing tonight?
- 45:53Speaker 1: I am going to host six episodes of Wheel of
- 45:55Speaker 1: Fortune today.
- 45:56Speaker 12: Nice.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Okay, not a lot of excitement for that.
- 46:00Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Bye.
- 46:06Speaker 3: Bye.
