- 0:14Welcome back to Banter with the Boys. Gridiron
- 0:17updates. And we got the week three recap episode
- 0:22here. And if kickers are your thing, this is
- 0:26the episode for you. I tell you what. In this
- 0:30episode, we recap three or four games. I'm sorry
- 0:32that we previewed the week before. If you are
- 0:35new to us. Welcome. Welcome. That's right. Who
- 0:39just said welcome is Roberto. He is a fellow
- 0:41Viking fan here. 3 -0, baby. 3 -0. 3 -0. Is it
- 0:45a fake 3 -0 or is it a real 3 -0? Time will tell.
- 0:48Time will tell. I'm also a Viking fan and I just
- 0:52asked that dumb question. Of course it's real.
- 0:55Jake. Jake's a Ravens fan. Represent. Yeah, Flock
- 1:00Nation. I like your shirt today. Thanks. Figured
- 1:03we'd celebrate in style with the win in Rio.
- 1:06It is very Rio of you. I was trying to think
- 1:09of the movie and I totally blanked on it. Is
- 1:12it real? Yeah, there's an animated movie called
- 1:14Rio. Birds out of Minnesota. That's all I know
- 1:18about that movie. Kev? You're behind the scenes
- 1:23getting everything done for us. So the four games
- 1:25that we decided to preview last week again. That
- 1:29episode is out, so you can go catch that first
- 1:31if you want to and stop this one right now. Don't
- 1:34stop it because you want to stop watching and
- 1:36we're annoying already. Please keep watching.
- 1:38Sorry. So our four games this week that we will
- 1:41be recapping will be Panthers at Browns, Titans
- 1:43at Giants, Ravens at Cowboys, Vikings at Tampa
- 1:45Bay. We will always have a Ravens and Vikings
- 1:48game in there somewhere. So let's start with
- 1:50the first one, the Panthers traveling to the
- 1:53Cleveland Browns. I actually usually have all
- 1:55of this pulled up. I have none of it pulled up.
- 1:58Give us our final score there, Jake. Browns win,
- 2:01and that was 21 -18. I had to go back to it.
- 2:07I was taking a look at a couple of other stats.
- 2:08I usually have this all set, and I didn't. But
- 2:10anyway, Cleveland getting the dub, and I was
- 2:14the only one up here to pick them. I'm almost
- 2:16certain, if I remember. You are. Good for you.
- 2:18Lucky. Way to take a chance. I took a chance
- 2:21on this one and the next game that we'll talk
- 2:24about. But Deshaun Watson finally getting his
- 2:29win. Finally. The stadium now chanting his name.
- 2:33Which is interesting. I thought about that, too.
- 2:35I'm like, man, Wagoners. Yeah. So back and forth.
- 2:40But, I mean, I get it. You got to cheer about
- 2:42something. Yeah. Right? So I'm sure the fans
- 2:45are just happy to kind of put that one back on
- 2:47Mike Tomlin this week. But with the help of Deshaun
- 2:50Watson. It's so funny. He's been playing pretty
- 2:56effective. Yes. Well, effective. I wouldn't say
- 2:59clean by any means. He's not hitting his receivers.
- 3:04Their ground game still is something to be desired.
- 3:07That defense is still playoff elite. They are.
- 3:11And that's going to carry for a while. But how
- 3:15long are they going to be able to keep that up?
- 3:16I don't know. I feel like their defense. I mean,
- 3:20other maybe. I mean, it's really hard to say
- 3:23the defensive player of the year. Losing him,
- 3:25your defense would be better. But I just think
- 3:28they have some younger guys that have really
- 3:30developed. Like the linebacker, very long. Carson
- 3:34Swissinger. Defensive rookie of the year. He
- 3:39was defensive rookie of the year. So now he's
- 3:40in his second year. You add verse to it. They
- 3:43had a ton of pieces already. They just got a
- 3:47little bit older. And they've all gotten a little
- 3:48bit better. And they've kind of filled a ton
- 3:50of gaps. You know, and the Panthers didn't really
- 3:54help themselves a ton. No. What? Bryce Young
- 3:57threw it 48 times. I don't think Bryce Young's
- 4:00not. Too many times. Yeah. He's not at that point
- 4:02in his career or his development where you could
- 4:05be like, oh, hey, if he's going to sling it around
- 4:07that many times, you're still going to feel okay
- 4:09about it. I mean, you think of the adder, you
- 4:12know, the receivers with Croker now developing
- 4:15and now having T -Mac with all his numbers coming
- 4:18out rookie year. It's pushing them first to that
- 4:22because Brooks hasn't really developed or he's
- 4:25an IR now. And Hubbard is not really that style
- 4:29of, you know, between the tackles kind of every
- 4:32possession. And they still ran him for 19 times
- 4:36that game. Looks like it's the perfect number.
- 4:38Under 20. So that means you got to find somebody
- 4:41else rather than throwing it 48 times. But I
- 4:44don't know if that's, do they really do any of
- 4:46the like. do they bring McMillan or Coker in
- 4:50the backfield at all and do any of that jet stuff
- 4:51or, you know, anything like that to try to get
- 4:54the defense moving rather than having to throw
- 4:57the ball? I don't know. But it can't be all Hubbard
- 5:01either. Like they got to find, they got to find
- 5:02somebody else. AJ Dillon is not necessarily the
- 5:05guy, but I mean, change of speed, I'd say. Yeah.
- 5:09Yeah. But who knows where he's at? I mean, I
- 5:11didn't get a, I watched kind of the surface of
- 5:13this game too. Just the ton of football to watch
- 5:15too. So. I didn't get the full in -depth breakdown
- 5:19of it, but just, I mean, now also looking at
- 5:22a fantasy life, you know, I don't know. Like,
- 5:26I mean, I thought what was Vegas had it. I feel
- 5:29pretty close last week was who was on like a
- 5:31one and a half or I thought it was further than
- 5:34that. I can't remember because we always mentioned
- 5:36it too, but I'll look while you think. Well,
- 5:39okay. Let me keep, let me keep thinking. I don't
- 5:41really have anything else to say about this game
- 5:44in particular fair, but The Browns next, they
- 5:47got a division game against the Steelers. It
- 5:50is another home game for the Browns, though.
- 5:53And after... It could be sneaky good. That game
- 5:56you think is going to be a good game? Yeah. After
- 5:59they were able to dismantle the Bengals? Yeah,
- 6:02I think that one, you'll end up seeing another
- 6:04really close, tight, defensive NFC North struggle,
- 6:08which is really great football to watch if you're
- 6:11into defense. Right on. I am. I mean, I like
- 6:16it. Defense, you know, they all wear football
- 6:18jerseys and it's not all about the offense and
- 6:20fantasy football, you know, Panthers go back
- 6:25home now after splitting their a win and a loss
- 6:29on their road trip here. They go back home to
- 6:31play the Lions. That could be a winnable game
- 6:35for the Panthers. Actually, it depends for me.
- 6:38It's going to depend on if the Panthers can contain.
- 6:41keep gibbs contained that's like the only thing
- 6:43that that's always gonna be the only thing that
- 6:45concerns me right now yeah playing playing the
- 6:47lions uh otherwise you know with the way the
- 6:51panthers have been slinging it maybe not 48 times
- 6:54but if they want to throw the ball i that's the
- 6:57team i do it against right now would be the lions
- 6:59yeah for sure there's secondaries still on the
- 7:02ir and whether kirby's ever gonna play football
- 7:06again they're actually are they the worst no
- 7:11they got to be in the bottom though passing close
- 7:13to the bottom yeah they are the worst pass defense
- 7:17in the league actually right now detroit is i
- 7:20knew they were down there i just didn't know
- 7:21if they were quite the worst yet so i don't know
- 7:24look for panthers maybe to bounce back from a
- 7:25tough loss against the cleveland browns um yeah
- 7:31i don't know if we have a browns game again Well,
- 7:35we're going to have at least two more. For sure.
- 7:36You think so? Well, yeah, I guess. Yeah, right.
- 7:39So we have no choice but to talk. Maybe we'll
- 7:41skip one of them. Should we skip this next one,
- 7:45too? Weather alert. Titans at Giants. Oh, God,
- 7:50I didn't pull that up either. Oh, my God. You
- 7:52got the score again, Jake. That was 12 -10, right?
- 7:57Yeah, 12 -7. Oh, boy. Horrible weather leading
- 8:03up to this game in general. Did you see the video
- 8:06of the Porter Johns getting blown across the
- 8:08parking lot? Yeah, there have been a whole bunch
- 8:10of memes for other teams tied into the Porter
- 8:12Johns just skating across. Normally, that would
- 8:15be the Vikings. But it's the Packers, though.
- 8:19There's also one of the Cowboys. We'll get into
- 8:24that. Don't worry. We'll talk all about the Cowboys.
- 8:27But the Giants and Titans first. Titans obviously
- 8:30fall to 0 -3. We'll start there. You were not
- 8:33impressed with Cam Ward. You said pre -pod. Our
- 8:37pre -pod discussions. You were just disappointed.
- 8:41Yeah, I mean, he just needs to pull the trigger.
- 8:43There's a lot of, you know, we'll just take the
- 8:45wins. And he just gets dancey a little bit, too.
- 8:49Titans don't really have a running game right
- 8:51now. They're Pollards. Nice, but I think it's
- 8:55more the offense line. I think I mean the Titans
- 8:57are still a year out. I think they're like we're
- 9:00New Orleans is now is where they can be next
- 9:04year where they're like starting to surprise
- 9:06people. But yeah, they're just still missing
- 9:08some people defense is nice. They played really
- 9:12well, but offensively they just can't run the
- 9:14ball and it's really hard to effectively pass.
- 9:18And they're missing a deep threat, too. I thought
- 9:20Tate was going to be the guy that could stretch
- 9:23the field more, but they don't seem to be using
- 9:26them in that way. I don't think they... Wanda
- 9:28Robinson was the other one that they picked up
- 9:32in free agency from New York, was the other thought
- 9:36of your field stretcher, but it's just not happening.
- 9:41And Cam's just... Like there's something off
- 9:45to like your point about like take your wins.
- 9:48That interception that essentially ended the
- 9:50game was first and goal. Like if it's not there,
- 9:53you just do timeouts. Yeah. And plenty of time.
- 9:55Yeah. And you're an athlete. Just like take a
- 9:58couple of yards and just throw it away and then
- 10:00try again. Three more opportunities to win the
- 10:03game. Yeah. It just seemed like a young quarterback
- 10:04mistake. It was. Did he just not see who was
- 10:09it? Holland that intercepted that? Yeah. John
- 10:11Holland. Second pick. This third season. Oh,
- 10:15for the season. Oh, yeah. But did he just like
- 10:18lose them like blue jersey against the blue end
- 10:21zone? Or do you think he was seriously trying
- 10:23to float that up over him? And the receiver was
- 10:26pretty well covered, too. Yeah. Yeah. It was
- 10:29going to be a tough competitive. I mean, that
- 10:31guy might have picked it. By the way. Yeah. But
- 10:36on the other side of the on the other side there,
- 10:40the Giants. We'll talk about them a little bit
- 10:43more in our tent talk episode, as they had some
- 10:47news come out this week as well. After that showing
- 10:50from Jameis Winston, which again, like we were
- 10:52just talking before, some good, some bad, you
- 10:57know, every really decent play he gives you,
- 11:00he's going to give you an equally as bad play
- 11:03the other direction. You just know that. So.
- 11:06We'll talk about if whether or not they got better
- 11:09at that position or not again in that next episode
- 11:11coming up. Don't forget to check it out. You
- 11:15know, I excuse me. Jeez. I wish they could have
- 11:19got like Isaiah likely a little bit more involved.
- 11:22I feel like that's going to be really key to
- 11:24the Giants being able to to move forward with
- 11:27the rest of their season. I still think they
- 11:28missed an opportunity with continuing to just
- 11:30run the ball more. I think Jameis was throwing
- 11:33it too much, and with the weather the way that
- 11:35it was, being wet and rainy, just leverage the
- 11:39depth of that backfield that they have. They
- 11:42actually have really nice depth back there, but
- 11:44they're running Cam Scadaboo 20 times a game.
- 11:46So run more Najee in Singletary. I mean, I watched
- 11:52the 22. Najee's just not. They're missing the
- 11:54explosive. They need that Tracy to be effective.
- 11:57They need the explosive. They need the Gibbs
- 11:59speed to counter with. Scataboos inside. Did
- 12:04he go down in the game? I just feel like you're
- 12:07starting to give him too much because he's full
- 12:12contact. Did Tracy go down in the game at all?
- 12:18He's been banged up, so I don't know if he's
- 12:20fully back. Singletary was a healthy scratch.
- 12:24I think that was the case with Singletary. They
- 12:27really struggled. to run the ball. But I mean,
- 12:30as Roberts, all I would do, I'm going to fill
- 12:33that box and make Jameis Winston be me. I mean,
- 12:36that's literally what happened. Defensively,
- 12:38again, defensively, the Titans really pulled
- 12:41it off, actually, in that game and kept them
- 12:43in check. That could be a dangerous offense.
- 12:47Not necessarily led by Jameis. They're just a
- 12:49year out. I'm getting year out vibes from the
- 12:52Titans. For the Titans. Right on. Are you upset
- 12:55at all? Obviously, the viral video of Cam Ward
- 12:57to the... I believe it was from this game, right,
- 13:01where he kind of goes flat -footed and just kind
- 13:03of stands there for a minute. I don't know if
- 13:05it was a screen. Oh, yeah. And fans are super
- 13:08upset about that and sending death threats to
- 13:10family members and crap because it's the NFL,
- 13:12and that seems to be commonplace for some reason.
- 13:14Too far. But, like, seeing Cam do that, just
- 13:18kind of wait in a minute, still completes the
- 13:20throw on target. Does that bother you at all?
- 13:25No. I mean, the pressure wasn't there, so...
- 13:32Right, so... Rather than sitting there wasting
- 13:35that energy bouncing around, yeah, you just be
- 13:38like, all right, just wait for it. It doesn't
- 13:40bother you. I mean, out of all of that, it was,
- 13:43what, a five -yard pass? And you're just like,
- 13:45oh, that was really anticlimactic. Like, I was
- 13:48expecting, yo, he's waiting for the route to
- 13:50develop deep, and then it's just like this, like,
- 13:52five yards, and like, oh. I was just kind of
- 13:56disappointed by that. He just doesn't seem like
- 13:59he wants to run at all. I mean, listen, with
- 14:03all the injuries in the NFL right now, I don't
- 14:05think that's a terrible idea. If his mentality
- 14:07is to be, I want to be a pass first quarterback
- 14:10versus get out of the pocket and run. They got
- 14:12it. Maybe instead of. Sitting there flat footed.
- 14:16I don't know. It just changes the angle. Changes
- 14:19the angle of the field. Makes the defense have
- 14:22to think. And then maybe something else develops.
- 14:25Versus just. I think he went still to try to
- 14:28hide. Is really what my. He just sat behind the
- 14:31offensive line. And that was his thought process.
- 14:35Fair enough. But no I don't really care. Because
- 14:40he's not your quarterback. I mean, if Kyler did
- 14:43that, I don't know. Kyler's never going to do
- 14:48that. Kyler's never going to do that. Kyler would
- 14:49run at that point. Kyler wouldn't do that. Keep
- 14:54it at that. He'd run all over the place. Actually.
- 15:00Okay, so let's move on to our third game. One
- 15:04that probably had Jake having a heart attack
- 15:07or something. He'd probably get checked out.
- 15:09He'd probably get checked out. Ravens getting
- 15:13the win 34 31 over the Cowboys in Rio. I thought
- 15:18that game was going to overtime. I was convinced
- 15:20it was going to overtime until the big completion
- 15:23at the end of the game. Yeah, there's a lot of
- 15:25stuff going on that entire game though. But hats
- 15:29off to that to the Dallas defense that front
- 15:32seven. They did a really good job of like stopping
- 15:34Derek Henry. They were two fourth and ones and
- 15:37I love the decision. to go for it in both of
- 15:41those situations. The first one kind of sketchy
- 15:43cause you're towards midfield and you're still
- 15:45on your side. They were still on their side of
- 15:48the 50. So kind of giving up some field position
- 15:50there. But the, the fourth and the, the fourth
- 15:54and essentially the fourth and goal at the, the
- 15:57one yard line. I love both decisions. Just try
- 16:00to be aggressive with it. Do, do the thing that
- 16:03you want to do. Just, like, show your identity.
- 16:05And, again, hats off to the Dallas defense with
- 16:08penetrating and stopping them up both times.
- 16:11I would think, hopefully, moving forward, that
- 16:14the offense, that they do different packages
- 16:19versus having Henry back there by himself. Okay.
- 16:23You want to bring that fallback back. We missed
- 16:27Patrick Ricard last year when he was out at the
- 16:31beginning of the season. And having that. That
- 16:34additional blocker in the backfield with him,
- 16:37I think, does a lot more for him to be successful.
- 16:41Just gives him a little bit more time, too. Right.
- 16:45And so Derrick Henry, like one could say, only
- 16:50went for 89 yards. Yeah. But he did exactly what
- 16:53you requested them to do. Right. Over 20 carries.
- 16:55Yeah. They were still able to pull it off. Two
- 16:58touchdowns for him with that. I don't know. I,
- 17:05and I was concerned about Zay flower. I didn't
- 17:07think Zay flowers was going to play and he did,
- 17:10which was great. Yeah. He had those, those couple
- 17:14of big plays. Obviously the one right at the
- 17:17end. Yeah. That 27 yard or to get them into field
- 17:20goal range. And the one second. Yeah. Everybody
- 17:24was nervous about the one second situation. Flashbacks
- 17:26from a couple weeks ago. Michigan flashbacks.
- 17:29But that was a true one second. Seemed like it
- 17:31anyway. It did feel like it. No one argued it.
- 17:34No, I don't think so. I agree. But also, I think
- 17:40the Ravens caught a lot of breaks from the officiating.
- 17:42There were some questionable penalties that they
- 17:46didn't get called that maybe should have. And
- 17:50kind of like the other way around. On their second
- 17:56touchdown drive, it was like the second play.
- 17:59There was the defensive pass interference that
- 18:01Zay Flowers drew, but it really should have been
- 18:04an offensive pass interference. It was a pretty
- 18:06clear cut that Zay was pushing off. There was
- 18:10that that we got away with. When we blocked the
- 18:14field goal, I thought we were off sides. I must
- 18:18have missed that. That one was really close.
- 18:20I tried to replay that. a bunch of times in like
- 18:24slow motion at like half speed. It's really hard
- 18:27to tell the, the player on the far end jumps
- 18:33like at the same time or right before that ball's
- 18:37getting snapped. He's not the one that blocks
- 18:39it, but still like, I think there could have
- 18:42been, or it probably could have gotten, gotten
- 18:44or called an offsides on that block. That would
- 18:47have changed things too. So I made it up. Yeah,
- 18:51go ahead. Finish up. How about your flock? My
- 18:54other thought is that I was really excited for
- 18:59Tyler Loop. Happy for him. That 56 -yard field
- 19:03goal clutch. Kind of makes up for last year.
- 19:08Not entirely. Totally redeem yourself? No. Well,
- 19:12I mean, there's a difference between kicking
- 19:14yourself into the playoffs versus... missing
- 19:17it out so and now you're two and one yeah we're
- 19:20two and one we're sitting going to the super
- 19:21bowl yeah we got the titans next week that's
- 19:23looking like it could be a w we'll talk about
- 19:25that later but i really thought like and again
- 19:29this is me being negative and i said it before
- 19:30the show i was really nervous that loop was gonna
- 19:34like pull his hamstring or something on the celly
- 19:37yeah oh my god All right. Well, I'm going to
- 19:40bring up the elephant in the room. Dallas. And
- 19:42then we got to close it down because we're already
- 19:43over time on this. I know. But it's Jake's team.
- 19:45I'm not sorry. It's fine. No, you shouldn't be
- 19:47sorry. Dallas at the end of the game. WTF? What
- 19:51are we doing here? We got first and goal. We
- 19:54got all day on the time clock. And we even got
- 19:58the matchup we want. We got our franchise tag
- 20:01on the outside on a fade route. Give him a chip
- 20:05and a chair to win the game. And then why you
- 20:09call a timeout with 14 seconds left? Run that
- 20:13sucker down. If that's your game plan to run
- 20:15a just burn two seconds, kick that field goal
- 20:19down. You could have got it down to nothing.
- 20:21Yeah. So huge coaching mistake by Dallas Schottenheimer.
- 20:27That wasn't the only one. Go on. Deciding to
- 20:34kick it out of the end zone. Oh yeah. And then
- 20:36getting it to the 40. Yeah. Like, come on now.
- 20:39Like it was, it was aggressively bad. Jerry Jones
- 20:44came out and said something. So no, I mean, he
- 20:48always says something though. Like it should
- 20:50be an on Dallas when they had an opportunity
- 20:52to win the game, you know, and they absolutely
- 20:54failed at the end. A, the coaching and the players
- 20:58that, you know, they had three downs to, you
- 21:00know, finish that, too. Still got to execute.
- 21:02So, yeah, it was an overall L for Dallas. And
- 21:07the Ravens took advantage and, you know, great
- 21:10play by Lamar and Flowers and then loop with
- 21:12the finish here. Didn't they? I'm trying to recall
- 21:16this. And then we really got to move on. I'm
- 21:18trying to recall this one CD lamb play in the
- 21:20corner. Never mind. Let's just move on. Let's
- 21:25just move on. I wanted to bring that up. Let's
- 21:26move on, but let's think about something. No,
- 21:28no, no. We got to move on because I'm just going
- 21:30to be like, um, um, um. Anyway, sorry. Talk about
- 21:34something more important to you guys anyways.
- 21:36Yeah, let's go to the bowl. You already know.
- 21:38Victory. Vikings, obviously getting the dub.
- 21:41Big win, you know, in Tampa. Moving to 3 -0.
- 21:45Big win. 23 -16. Field goals everywhere. Kyler
- 21:52Murray, not super impressive. Statistically.
- 21:59Statistically. However, I will say there's at
- 22:01least the one play that sticks in my mind for
- 22:04sure. It's him getting that first down with his
- 22:08legs. It was like a third and whatever. Pretty
- 22:12long. And he was able to get a first down where
- 22:14I don't think any other quarterback on our roster
- 22:17would have been able to get that first down.
- 22:19I kept the scoring drive going. It's funny. That's
- 22:23one of the clips that he misses. Addison wide
- 22:26open deep. Oh, does he? Do you have that? Which
- 22:30one is that? We'll talk about it in the pregame.
- 22:33Well, look out for the preview episode for week
- 22:38four. Sorry you had to pick the play that I did.
- 22:42It's all good. You took it as a W. I'm like,
- 22:44no. I did. But because he still got the first
- 22:48down, we still scored on the drive. Fair. He
- 22:51took the win where he could find it. That's the
- 22:52Addison post of that video that was played. One
- 22:55of them. Oh, God. One. Wow. Either way, I'm still
- 22:59not super impressed with Kyler Murray's first
- 23:02full game in purple. But the GM continues to
- 23:08say that he's trending in the right direction
- 23:12in this offense. That's good, I guess. Right,
- 23:17right. What's not good is on the other side,
- 23:20Baker Mayfield smashing his thumb on Blake Cashman's
- 23:23arm. Yeah. How am I tripping? Yeah, Cashman.
- 23:28Cashman's arm. And playing not great. Also, similar
- 23:33week for him. That's two weeks in a row now.
- 23:35It kind of looks similar. Yeah, Baker. A couple
- 23:37missed throws. A couple drops, though. Don't
- 23:38get me wrong, but a couple missed throws. Yeah.
- 23:41He was under a whole bunch of pressure, though.
- 23:43Of course. He started seeing ghosts at some point.
- 23:46After six sacks, that'll do that to you. So,
- 23:49yeah, six sacks definitely is going to make a
- 23:52quarterback, you know, just watching him, he
- 23:55was very inaccurate, which is not really his
- 23:58forte to be that inaccurate. There was a couple
- 24:00drops, but there was just bucks of just playing
- 24:02bad offensive football, whether it's penalties,
- 24:05turnovers, drops, you know, just bad decision
- 24:10making. They struggled, but I mean, I think that
- 24:14Bucky Irving didn't have a big day. No, but that's
- 24:17all I can credit to the Vikings front seven that
- 24:20they didn't even Bucky made things but the game
- 24:22changer Kevin if you want to pull up or here
- 24:24it was that we were up early three nothing here
- 24:26and then we got the opportunity on price here
- 24:29just making a nice play and then returning this
- 24:32back for a tutty and that really switched the
- 24:36Momo and I think it relaxed everybody a little
- 24:38bit especially for Kyler this first full game
- 24:40and Then he didn't really have to do much with
- 24:43the defense. So it was a good start with him.
- 24:46Kyler sees the field solo. He does. He's quick.
- 24:49And then just watching on all his returns. He's
- 24:52a threat. It seems like he's become that special
- 24:54teams dude. And else he's been filling in nicely
- 24:58as a guy. All right. There's football on the
- 25:06screen. I'm going to be locked in over here.
- 25:09Big win for the Vikings. Whenever you can stack
- 25:12an extra win. None of them have been beautiful.
- 25:15We got to get Aaron Jones some help. I hope Mason's
- 25:19coming back soon. If not, so far, DJ Dallas,
- 25:24he's more in there on the passing downs. He's
- 25:28a horrible pass blocker. Right. So not super
- 25:30awesome. Sorry. The picture does intimidate me.
- 25:34And then Claiborne, I think, just needs a couple
- 25:37more touches. I'd like to see him somehow get
- 25:40out in the opener outside the tackles a little
- 25:42bit more before I write him off by any means.
- 25:45But we got to get Aaron Jones to frigging help
- 25:46back there. He can't do this all season. That
- 25:51can't be part of the Vikings game plan. Right
- 25:55now, that offense actually does startle me a
- 25:57little bit. I mean, and then Jeddah's obviously
- 25:59went down and didn't come back. So, yeah, a couple
- 26:03actually concerns. The Vikings squeak away, honestly,
- 26:06for me. But what do you got, non -Vikings fan?
- 26:11Just how messy or sloppy that game was overall.
- 26:13100%. 17 punts. The second half was horrible.
- 26:1617 penalties between the two teams combined.
- 26:19It was just like, just a non -Vikings fan. Watching
- 26:24it was kind of difficult and just from that lens.
- 26:27But, I mean, there's still big plays, kind of
- 26:30interesting stuff. So, I don't know. Take the
- 26:34W's when you can. 17 punts and six field goals.
- 26:37That's right. Kickers got action. Yeah. But Vikings
- 26:40get the win. Before we dip, Tampa Bay, they got
- 26:46a home game, another home game, last of three.
- 26:49Obviously, they're open three. This is a game
- 26:52they have to win and arguably winnable. Sorry,
- 26:55Packer fans. Because the Packers are another
- 26:57team right now that we don't really know. They're
- 27:00up against the ropes, too. 100%. We don't really
- 27:02know what's going on there. Again, their season
- 27:05could look different if Josh Jacobs was playing
- 27:08for them. And Micah. And Micah, 100%. And everybody's
- 27:11like, oh, wait till Micah comes back. Wait till
- 27:12Micah comes back. It might be done. By the time
- 27:15Michael comes back. So this is a must -win game
- 27:17for the Packers, too, against a struggling Buccaneers
- 27:19team. So that's actually a good game to kind
- 27:21of keep an eye out for here coming up this week.
- 27:25Obviously, the Vikes, we won't even talk about
- 27:26them because we're going to talk about them in
- 27:27the next episode. So if you want to hear more
- 27:29Vikes talk, make sure you check out week four
