- 0:24And welcome to the Deconstructing Topic Podcast. My name is David,
- 0:28and I hope that you enjoy that little kind of mysterious thing going on in this
- 0:32intro, because you know what?
- 0:34Today, we got an interesting, interesting, mysterious story.
- 0:38And welcome to the Deconstructing Topic Podcast. My name is David,
- 0:41and I'm your host of this legendary Deconstructing Topic Podcast.
- 0:45And today, I want to share with my audience, my wonderful, legendary audience.
- 0:51A mysterious story that I've known for a long time, and it's been out there.
- 0:55You could always look it up, but you are listening to my podcast,
- 0:58so I am going to introduce you, even in case you have not heard about this mysterious
- 1:04story of the Sardar children.
- 1:07This is definitely a fantastic true crime unsolved mystery on this podcast,
- 1:12because, you know, in my podcast, we grab a topic, we grab something,
- 1:17we kind of deconstruct it, And hey, by all means, after you listen to this episode, you let me know.
- 1:22I mean, if this is the first time that you hear this story, and I just want
- 1:25to say, heads up, Involved Children, so for those people out there that are
- 1:30sensitive in regards to certain topics, by all means, I could definitely understand it.
- 1:36And listen, you can still listen to my podcast, Underload Tip,
- 1:39but if it's a story that you want to learn, that you want to say to yourself, huh, interesting.
- 1:46Let me know what I think. But this is the case that involves five children who
- 1:51disappear during a house fire in Fayetteville, West Virginia on Christmas Eve, 1945.
- 1:59What were you doing on Christmas Eve of 1945? I definitely was not alive,
- 2:03but it's definitely one of those interesting things that we have been for the most part.
- 2:08Those who are listening and for those who do celebrate Christmas Eve,
- 2:13what are we doing on Christmas Eve?
- 2:15We already know we want to open the presents. We want to wait up until midnight,
- 2:19whatever it is that you do in the United States or in other countries or other parts of the world.
- 2:24By all means, hey, listen.
- 2:26This story is crazy because their bodies were never conclusive.
- 2:31They were never kind of found. So it leaves the imagination to think what happened.
- 2:37Was this a kidnap and arson? It was something beyond that's out there in regards
- 2:43to what happened to the side of children.
- 2:46And it's one of those things that I said to myself. When I came across this
- 2:50story a long time ago, a long time ago, I said to myself, Geez,
- 2:57what a crazy, interesting mystery story.
- 2:59And today we got these sighted children disappearing.
- 3:02And it takes place. I mean, it's Christmas Eve of 1945.
- 3:07And it's one of those situations. Just imagine, and for those people who've
- 3:10been out there, you know, celebrating this joyous day or whatever it is with
- 3:14family, you know, there's always a lot of times there's always kids involved in these festivities.
- 3:21And for the sake of these five children who just vanish.
- 3:27We don't know But we're going to get into it We're going to talk about a little
- 3:31bit of everything in regards to this mystery story And, you know,
- 3:35one of the things is that I did introduce myself as your legendary host of the legendary podcast,
- 3:41The Deconstructing Topper podcast So I want to introduce and I want to meet
- 3:45the side of family that's out there in regards to this story,
- 3:49Obviously, there's a husband and wife, if I'm not mistaken, by the name of George and Jeannie Sauter.
- 3:54And they had a big family. Hey, listen, five kids.
- 3:57Fayetteville, West Virginia.
- 4:00Country Rose, West Virginia. And then this celebration on Christmas Eve.
- 4:07It starts weird because it's a story where even from the offset, and I'm just going to.
- 4:14Ooh, just put that little mysterious hat on.
- 4:17What's going to happen in a situation where it's Christmas Eve,
- 4:21you're spending time with your family, and out of nowhere, there's a strange
- 4:26call by Jeannie, which is the wife, Jeannie Sautter.
- 4:32And out of nowhere, you know, Jeannie's on the phone, and there's some unusual,
- 4:38kind of noises in the room, boom, boom, boom, boom, something is going on.
- 4:42And as many children, in my understanding here in the United States,
- 4:46they do that midnight type of thing, or they do the, you know, we could go on and on.
- 4:50But the fact that, you know, these kids, these five children were just waiting
- 4:54for their presence, if I'm not mistaken, that's my understanding of some of the official story.
- 5:00After midnight, there's a fire that breaks out and you just.
- 5:07So apparently, you know, if there's fire, if those people that have been in
- 5:10fire, hey, listen, I've been in a building that got caught on fire,
- 5:14you want to scram out of there.
- 5:15You want to at least think and then do the action that you're thinking about.
- 5:21In this case, you have these parents and the four children that decided, you know what, we out.
- 5:27Now, my understanding is that, you know, there's a big family,
- 5:30a large family with eight or nine kids, but then the father of these children,
- 5:34of the Sardar family were trapped and missing and people was like,
- 5:38okay, what the hell happened?
- 5:40The fire came on, you know, they turned off the fire, something's going on.
- 5:44The mysterious phone call that Jenny Sardar got, you know, the mysterious sounds
- 5:50there and you'd be like, huh.
- 5:52So the next day, you know, within 24, 40 hours, my understandings, whatever it is.
- 5:59You know, where's the kids? We are missing five kids.
- 6:04And then one of the first thing that obviously when it comes to anything that
- 6:07happens, and especially in a case of the fire, you want to look, is anybody alive?
- 6:12I said, they rumble, look through the breeze and all that good stuff.
- 6:18My understanding that there was nobodies that were, nobody, but I say nobody,
- 6:22nobodies that were found there was a missing ladder and they were like well
- 6:27wait a minute that ladder was right there just in case in the event that you want to go down,
- 6:33out of nowhere you know they trying to send the fire department and.
- 6:38You know we ain't listen we don't know the trucks can't start,
- 6:42and then there's that suspicious of something going on around the house of people
- 6:47who if you live in a small town or you live in any place in the United States, you already know.
- 6:56That sometimes in life when we know that, hey, listen, that person looks suspicious.
- 6:59I've never seen that person before.
- 7:01So imagine having an amount of individuals that are in this story,
- 7:06in that vicinity, that becomes suspicious. Are you from town?
- 7:09Are you from Fayetteville? Where were you from?
- 7:12And there were witnesses that would come up and say, huh, you know,
- 7:16I saw this person walk over here. I saw this person walk around the house.
- 7:20And it starts to become like, okay, the fire happened. We got five missing children.
- 7:26We got a lot of elements going on, like what happened. And you start to think, who are the survivors?
- 7:33And one of the things that when it comes to a situation like this,
- 7:36the first thing you want to do, you want to talk to mom and pop dudes.
- 7:40Say, listen, sir, madam, what happened? Where are your kids?
- 7:46So, you know, in regards to the situation that how these kids just vanish in
- 7:50a fire, you start to explain, okay, what are the obvious?
- 7:54And what are the theories here in regards to the situation? And I'm bringing
- 7:57up the theories here now because, again, we got the story of five children in
- 8:03Christmas Eve who just vanish,
- 8:07poof out of nowhere and no pun intended to the family or anybody that's living
- 8:12or anybody that has been affected by a fire.
- 8:16But what happened? Now, it's very, you know, simple to come and say,
- 8:19okay, the fire happened.
- 8:22And sadly, the kids got on fire and then just.
- 8:26So that's the official explanation. Obviously, there's a fire. Five kids are missing.
- 8:31I want to keep in mind that those people out there that are listening to this,
- 8:35when it comes to a fire, a lot of times there are people that doubt of fire
- 8:39and there's people that doubt of inhalation.
- 8:41You know, the smoking of the, the breathing of the smoke.
- 8:45And sadly they go and lose conscience and, you know, whatever comes afterwards,
- 8:49sadly that many things comes afterwards.
- 8:52But the fact that one, for the most part, does not die due to the fire,
- 8:57but it smokes. So, I mean, you know, it's a simple math. It's okay,
- 9:00boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 9:02And I don't know, you know, and I'm trying to think here, it's 1945.
- 9:05I don't know what are the fire safety laws back then. You know,
- 9:09I could have probably done a little bit of research.
- 9:12But, you know, we don't think that a lot of times, and I listen, and I work in a building.
- 9:20Many people are there, over 500 people at one point in that building that I work in.
- 9:25And one of the things that when we do fire drills, what does the fire drill
- 9:30inspector does or tells?
- 9:32You're most likely could die off inhaling the smoke.
- 9:35So I don't know the mindset of back in 1945, if that was the case with these people,
- 9:41but the fact that it's like there's a fire five kids are missing and the stories,
- 9:47you see something was going on because my understanding even in the the fire,
- 9:51investigators they were like oh you know,
- 9:55we could say there was a fire and five kids missing now but where's the body
- 10:00is there anything that we could probably grab that we could say.
- 10:05That's the story. That's it. End of the world.
- 10:08So people start to kind of wonder, okay, so this fire happened?
- 10:13It's a nice big home. But even a nice big home with a lot of people,
- 10:17and listen, you kind of start to think, hey, still nobody?
- 10:21You know, you cannot find something?
- 10:24So obviously, that's when the little chatter start coming in.
- 10:28You know, that's when it becomes a little bit more mysterious because you know what?
- 10:33What do happen? What can one think if you cannot find five bodies in a fire?
- 10:40You cannot find anything?
- 10:42What would come to your mind as you're listening to this podcast?
- 10:46If this is indeed the first time that you're listening to the story of the five Sada children.
- 10:52And one of the things, an interesting thing here is that, hey, wait a minute.
- 10:56Did they get kidnapped? Hmm. If you thought about that, let me know in a comment.
- 11:01Maybe I kind of jumped the ship a little bit and did not let you think.
- 11:05But you could always pause it. But I would think, listen, because sadly,
- 11:10in regards to the theory, in regards to them being kidnapped,
- 11:14there have been some witnesses that claim, you know, so went down the line in
- 11:19the attic. Some of these kids were.
- 11:22And the fact that, you know, many interesting stories that have become mysterious,
- 11:27they become conspiracies and then whatever it is.
- 11:31People might have said, hey, listen, I saw the Sauter children.
- 11:34The fact that, you know, these kids were between the age of 5 and 12 and 13.
- 11:39The fact that people might have said, hey, listen, I seen them when they got older.
- 11:44The fact that these kids were seen after the fact of that fire,
- 11:48you start to think, hey, who would take these kids?
- 11:53My understanding is that George Sauter, the husband, might have,
- 11:57you know, have done some weird stuff going on there.
- 12:00I'm trying to find, you know, more information, but I just want to stick it
- 12:03to the side of children here.
- 12:06So there's always, you know, these rumors of organized crime,
- 12:09some, you know, some mysterious stuff there.
- 12:11Hey, listen, that could happen. It's virtually, we don't know.
- 12:14If this person owes somebody, let's say, $10,000, we might scoff at that idea.
- 12:20$10,000, can he just have taken a loan?
- 12:231945, $10,000 was, you know, probably $50,000, $60,000, $70,000,
- 12:28Maybe $100,000, who knows?
- 12:31But it's definitely $10,000 would have been a lot of money.
- 12:34But I'm just giving you the idea that if this was a thing, then I could understand. Listen, why not?
- 12:42But then something happened here.
- 12:46Now, George Sutter was, in a sense, my understanding was very outspoken on his
- 12:51political views. He might have, at that time, been a little bit different,
- 12:55thinking outside of the box, in a place that is West Virginia.
- 13:00And again, I'm trying to just focus on in itself all the story of the five children.
- 13:06And we already know that, you know, if people have always been,
- 13:09especially from the 40s, the 50s, the 60s, if it has been outspoken in regards
- 13:14to certain political views that don't align to that local space, then, huh.
- 13:22Then something's going to happen.
- 13:24But we just gonna say oh I don't know why your house got on fire was that the
- 13:28person that you was calling out was that the politician that you call corrupted I don't know.
- 13:34And sadly, you know, it started to become, okay, one of the theories would be,
- 13:40that, yes, there was arson. Somebody set the house on fire.
- 13:45But then that was a crazy cover-up that you said to yourself,
- 13:50okay, if that's the case, do we have anybody? Do we have any suspect?
- 13:57Why is it that this person's political views have to do with this, right?
- 14:02But again, there's an investigation going on. And it's so many questions,
- 14:06but nobody's able to answer it.
- 14:08What does George Sutter knows that we don't know?
- 14:12But then if you're starting to investigate, I see.
- 14:16George Sutter belongs to some committee, independent, whatever it is,
- 14:22and they try to screw over whoever is the leading candidate of whatever the
- 14:25local politicians are at the time.
- 14:28Somebody's going to pay the price, especially if there are those people who are responding to it.
- 14:34Because I always say in life, when it comes to changing somebody's mind regardless
- 14:39of their views, it starts with one, it starts with two, it starts with five,
- 14:45it goes to 10, 15, you got the gist.
- 14:48Start getting momentum, what's the best way to do at that time?
- 14:52Hey, listen, an assassination, it's a little bit too obvious.
- 14:56A little bit of arson? Turn the house on fire? And we just don't know what, I don't know.
- 15:03But as the story becomes more and more mysterious in regards to the child of
- 15:08children, there was a picture, a photograph.
- 15:12And that's where the pictures of some of the children. And again,
- 15:16and I'm collectively telling the story of the child of children in itself because
- 15:22the names, you know, could vary.
- 15:24You know And what are the Possibility Of a Picture Of Louis Sardar One of the children As an adult.
- 15:41Else could come there my understanding is the picture and the photograph was,
- 15:46verified as being a true picture but we don't know that,
- 15:52you already know that in this world we have doppelgangers we have someone that
- 15:56looks like us we don't know you know,
- 15:59but the fact is this that if your bodies there were no bodies that were found,
- 16:04nothing indicating really in regards to the situation of these kids,
- 16:09the fact that the parents were able to continue to live their life.
- 16:13And yes, by all means, were they looking for their kids? Absolutely.
- 16:17Because we don't know what happened. To this day, it's still a mystery.
- 16:21To this day, it's still a soft mystery.
- 16:25And again, there are those who believe that, hey, these kids were able to grow
- 16:29as adults, hiding from the land life.
- 16:33Sadly, if you grab one of the kids that, you know, my understanding,
- 16:35eight, nine years old, if you talk dumb into that, hey, listen,
- 16:40your parents are bad people, all that good stuff, all that nonsense, you start to think, huh,
- 16:47why should we try to go back home?
- 16:50If indeed, perhaps our parents were part of the whole scheme or the whole situation.
- 16:57It's a crazy story. And when I first came across this story,
- 17:00I'm like, wow, because it is still mysterious again.
- 17:04It is unresolved. Unsolved, I'm sorry.
- 17:08And people are still wondering what happened. We're still looking for clues.
- 17:11We're still looking for those people out there in the investigated kind of thing
- 17:16that they do in the internet.
- 17:18By all means, hey, listen, have fun. That's stories that we could tell.
- 17:23But what's the conclusion here in regards to this side of children?
- 17:27Were they victims of some type of tragic fire? Did they survive?
- 17:33And just disappear in the mystery that has kind of got a lot of people,
- 17:37especially in the United States, and there's people overseas.
- 17:40And I've seen some documentaries that they're just intrigued with this story.
- 17:45The fact that everything that happened down there and that day,
- 17:49December 24th, Christmas Eve, 1945, might have vanished with the flames. Just poof.
- 17:56But yet the questions, you know, they still kind of like burn like a firelight. Like what happened?
- 18:03Interesting story, to say the least. And if you're enjoying the stories,
- 18:07I'm pretty sure that I would try to bring more stories during the time here,
- 18:11in the fall season, heading to Halloween.
- 18:14But this is that season when it comes to October, November, December.

- 18:51my coworkers, my colleagues, whatever.
- 18:54I'm going to be in church. As a matter of fact, after a nice,
- 18:57good sermon, whatever it is, we're going to listen to this story.
- 19:00And again, what's your theory? What happened to these side of children?
- 19:03They're just in the fire.
- 19:06You think that they were just straight? Listen, kidnap. You let us know your story.
