- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear. When you're a guest to my home, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: gotta come to me empty. And I said, no, guests,
- 0:27Speaker 1: You're a presences. Presence and I already had too much stuff,
- 0:35Speaker 1: So how do you dare to surbey me?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Welcome to I said, no gifts. I'm pretcher Winne girl.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I had a Celsius on the way here, kind of
- 0:58Speaker 2: in the news. This is the new I'm drinking Celsius.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I'm on the Celsius wagon. I did miss my off
- 1:05Speaker 2: ramp on the freeway, but I don't think anyone noticed,
- 1:09Speaker 2: so everything's fine. I got here. I was in another
- 1:13Speaker 2: world driving on the two freeway today. It was dangerous.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I think I was putting people's lives in danger. But
- 1:21Speaker 2: we're all fine, and hopefully I'll make it home. I tempt,
- 1:25Speaker 2: I tempt fate when I start talking about things like this.
- 1:28Speaker 2: I've got to be careful again. I will be getting
- 1:32Speaker 2: on a Breeze Airline flight next week, and so I
- 1:36Speaker 2: just need everyone to pray for me. It's my first
- 1:39Speaker 2: time on a Breeze airways, so I'm kind of going
- 1:43Speaker 2: to be the test subject for all of us. We'll
- 1:45Speaker 2: see how they treat me, and we'll hope that they
- 1:48Speaker 2: get me to the airport. What else is going on? Oh,
- 1:52Speaker 2: I just want to I want to speak to a
- 1:55Speaker 2: heterosexual couple in Highland Park, Los Angeles, California. Toddler is
- 2:01Speaker 2: not old enough to use the crosswalk. I've experienced this
- 2:04Speaker 2: at least twice. We're all trying to make a left
- 2:07Speaker 2: turn and he's holding it up. Pick him up. There'll
- 2:10Speaker 2: be plenty of other opportunities in life to use a crosswalk,
- 2:13Speaker 2: and I'm sure he'll be great at it when the
- 2:14Speaker 2: time comes. But I'm next time you're gonna get a beep.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I don't want to see that toddler in the crosswalk.
- 2:20Speaker 2: What are you trying to teach him? And I know
- 2:24Speaker 2: you have a stroller. I've seen the stroller. Put him
- 2:26Speaker 2: in the stroller. Okay, so that's taken care of. Is
- 2:32Speaker 2: it anyone's birthday? Happy birthday. If it's your birthday, Happy birthday.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I'm sure it's someone's birthday. If it's not your birthday,
- 2:38Speaker 2: feel free to revisit this audio on your birthday or
- 2:41Speaker 2: any other time I've said happy birthday on the podcast.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Is a little treat to you. Patreon is a dream
- 2:49Speaker 2: world Patreon dot com slash I said, no gifts, it's
- 2:52Speaker 2: a fantasy land. It's a little oasis online. We're all
- 2:56Speaker 2: looking for an oasis online that's for you. Come support
- 3:00Speaker 2: the podcast, bonus episodes, all kinds of things. You've heard
- 3:05Speaker 2: me talk about this before. I don't need to run
- 3:07Speaker 2: you through it again. Just a little reminder. Okay, that
- 3:11Speaker 2: brings us to right now. We're in the present. I
- 3:14Speaker 2: just adore today's guest. I think this is technically his
- 3:17Speaker 2: fourth time on the podcast. It's carl Tart Carlow, welcome
- 3:21Speaker 2: back to ISA.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Has it been four times?
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's been four times. I think you had a minor
- 3:25Speaker 2: time on we had a holiday episode. Yes, and so
- 3:29Speaker 2: we'll count that it's been four times. But this is
- 3:31Speaker 2: kind of the only time, the first real in studio time.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Yeah, because my first time was on zoom I believe.
- 3:37Speaker 3: And I mailed you a gift.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yes, you mailed a sizable gift. Yes, And it was
- 3:42Speaker 2: like getting a fun present in the mail.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Opening up boxes during the pandemic. What a what a
- 3:48Speaker 3: great thing. And now I've started the process of cleaning
- 3:51Speaker 3: all that stuff out of my closet.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Like what are you taking out of your closet? Close?
- 3:55Speaker 3: I was shopping. I was shopping, Carl b shopping.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So what are you doing with the clothes then donating?
- 4:00Speaker 3: Okay, I either saw got enough use out of them
- 4:04Speaker 3: and somebody else can get some use out of them.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:06Speaker 3: But there are those things where you find them and
- 4:08Speaker 3: you go. If I saw somebody wearing this on the street,
- 4:11Speaker 3: I'd be mad and I might make them.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Take it off because you would want it back.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I want it back and hold on it. I
- 4:16Speaker 3: didn't know. I didn't know it could be worn like that.
- 4:20Speaker 2: When do you when do you determine a piece of
- 4:22Speaker 2: clothing is done? You know? So?
- 4:25Speaker 3: So now that I'm living the by coastal life, yes,
- 4:28Speaker 3: you're all over the place, all over the place. Now
- 4:30Speaker 3: I'm living to buy coastal lifestyle. I come back to
- 4:33Speaker 3: my home in Los Angeles and I say, I don't
- 4:36Speaker 3: need none of.
- 4:36Speaker 2: This shit because you haven't had to use it anything.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I haven't had to use it, and I haven't thought
- 4:41Speaker 3: about it. Right, And so I'll get home and I'll
- 4:43Speaker 3: be living out of a suitcase in my own home.
- 4:46Speaker 3: It's like a stranger whoa a stranger in Moscow. I'm
- 4:50Speaker 3: living out of my I'm living out of my own home,
- 4:53Speaker 3: like out of a suitcase in my own home, and
- 4:54Speaker 3: I'm like, wait a minute, I could just get rid
- 4:57Speaker 3: of all this junk.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I have in here. Right. Let's see.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I grew up not being able to afford things that
- 5:03Speaker 3: I wanted, So once I started making a little money,
- 5:05Speaker 3: I was like, I'm a buyas. Who's gonna tell me
- 5:07Speaker 3: I can't buy this T shirt? And Instagram really pedals
- 5:10Speaker 3: to me.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'm so strong against pet Instagram ads. It's worked once
- 5:17Speaker 2: on me.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Oh, it's worked hundreds of times on me. It will
- 5:20Speaker 3: work probably after I get done here, as soon as
- 5:22Speaker 3: I get in my car, check my phone before I
- 5:23Speaker 3: take off. I might could use that.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Has there been a really good like what's the best
- 5:27Speaker 2: thing you've purchased on Instagram? Ben?
- 5:31Speaker 3: I mean just like the companies that advertise to me,
- 5:35Speaker 3: I love all this stuff and I like so like,
- 5:38Speaker 3: you know, my just pieces in my wardrobe that I
- 5:40Speaker 3: get tons of compliments on?
- 5:42Speaker 2: And are they companies you are aware of before seeing
- 5:45Speaker 2: them on Instagram? Not necessarily? Okay, some of them pop up.
- 5:48Speaker 3: You know. I'm a hat guy, right, I have hundreds
- 5:50Speaker 3: of hats. So if I ever see hats, I go, oh,
- 5:53Speaker 3: this could be a dressy hat. Oh, this could be
- 5:56Speaker 3: a this is a casual hat. This is this like
- 5:58Speaker 3: you know, like and I'll buy hats that I'm just like, yep,
- 6:01Speaker 3: it's the one.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Do you ever donate the hats?
- 6:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Okay, I did it.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I give it all the way.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Do you have an official hat count?
- 6:08Speaker 3: I don't have an official count.
- 6:10Speaker 2: What's stopping you from that? I think you're too many.
- 6:12Speaker 3: It's too many. I don't feel like count that high.
- 6:15Speaker 3: It's too many.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Do you estimate? Yeah?
- 6:17Speaker 3: Probably about three hundred.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Wow, that's incredible.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a lot.
- 6:20Speaker 2: But it also makes sense if you're wearing hats constantly.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yeah. But here's the thing. This is the problem. I
- 6:25Speaker 3: wear like a rotation of maybe twenty oh interesting, So
- 6:29Speaker 3: I got a bunch that I don't wear, but I
- 6:30Speaker 3: want to keep right.
- 6:31Speaker 2: That's my problem with shirts where I think I've learned
- 6:35Speaker 2: the lesson at this point that I can't give away
- 6:37Speaker 2: his shirt because then years later I'm like, oh, I
- 6:39Speaker 2: wish I could be wearing that shirt right now. So
- 6:41Speaker 2: what I do is I just have a giant tupper
- 6:44Speaker 2: wear and I cycle them out of the garage.
- 6:46Speaker 3: See that I have that in my I don't have
- 6:48Speaker 3: a garage, so I have that in my closet, right
- 6:51Speaker 3: in my home. And it's and it's caused a chaos
- 6:55Speaker 3: because those tupperwars don't stay orderly. The stuff on the
- 6:58Speaker 3: bottom stays right. Oh, then you're fishing through, fishing through it,
- 7:02Speaker 3: and then it's and then it's a mess. And then
- 7:04Speaker 3: yesterday I was like, gotta get rid of this stuff,
- 7:06Speaker 3: gotta get rid of this stuff. It's gotta go. Like
- 7:09Speaker 3: I want my space to be open and breezy, breeze airlines.
- 7:12Speaker 3: I want my my space to be open and breezy.
- 7:15Speaker 3: This stuff's gotta go. And then I'm digging through and
- 7:17Speaker 3: I'm being like, damn, I forgot I had this. I
- 7:20Speaker 3: forgot I had this.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That's a great feeling.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I might throw this on later. You got it, But
- 7:25Speaker 3: sometimes you gotta be like, I gotta get rid of it.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's gotta go. I haven't thought about it. I haven't
- 7:28Speaker 3: thought about it in three years. It's gotta go.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Right, But it's the fashion so cyclical, and it's just
- 7:34Speaker 2: like it may come back and it may be something
- 7:36Speaker 2: I really want. And then I won't be able to
- 7:38Speaker 2: find it again.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Do you ever sell any of your stuff?
- 7:40Speaker 3: No, don't go through that process of selling stuff like nope,
- 7:45Speaker 3: I just donated. It has gotta be Oh.
- 7:49Speaker 2: That's I do it every time with everything. If I'm
- 7:51Speaker 2: getting it's basically with like iPhones or whatever. I get
- 7:54Speaker 2: a new phone. I try to selling and it just
- 7:56Speaker 2: makes your life a nightmare. You gotta mail it. Yeah,
- 7:59Speaker 2: oh my god, going to the post office forget it.
- 8:02Speaker 3: If anybody wants a peloton, I have one. You gotta
- 8:06Speaker 3: come pick it up.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Those things are so evid.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I lift it for you. You gotta come pick
- 8:11Speaker 3: it up. I'm not bringing it. I'm not shipping it.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I'm not taking it apart. You got to come get
- 8:15Speaker 3: it as is. Bring a truck.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Don't tempt me. I hear the word free, and I'm like.
- 8:21Speaker 3: You can have for free. The strangers have to pay.
- 8:23Speaker 2: How much would you charge?
- 8:25Speaker 3: I think I paid like two grand for it's still
- 8:28Speaker 3: in very great condition, lightly used.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Yeah, give me.
- 8:36Speaker 3: We can discuss a price in between. I'm reasonable for
- 8:40Speaker 3: the strangers. We can discuss a price in between five hundred.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And a thousand. Okay, that seems like a deal.
- 8:44Speaker 3: That's a deal.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Did you Was this a COVID purchase?
- 8:47Speaker 3: It was, and I used it during COVID. I did
- 8:49Speaker 3: use it. I was like, while we were watching bubble basketball,
- 8:53Speaker 3: just the worst thing you could ever watch. I was
- 8:57Speaker 3: I would ride. I'd be like, okay, second and fourth quarter,
- 8:59Speaker 3: got to ride the whole time. First, first and third time,
- 9:03Speaker 3: the whole quarter, first and third quarter, you can, you
- 9:05Speaker 3: can take a break, second and fourth. You gotta ride, even.
- 9:08Speaker 2: With timeouts and everything. Yeah. Wow, commercials. Whoaah, that's a
- 9:12Speaker 2: lot of riding.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Bike is easier than run it if it
- 9:15Speaker 3: was a treadmill.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I can't run. Yeah yeah. Running this absolute misery for me.
- 9:19Speaker 3: But once we got back outside, I was like, get
- 9:22Speaker 3: it out of get it out of here. And now
- 9:23Speaker 3: it's just seeing in the area that's supposed to be.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Doesn't it as my living room? But single man, I
- 9:27Speaker 3: mean a dining room. Oh and single man don't need
- 9:31Speaker 3: a dining room table. I have TV trays.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't have a dining room either. I have
- 9:35Speaker 2: a Yeah, I have like a bar thing but that's nice.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I would love to put a bar right there instead
- 9:40Speaker 3: of a peloton.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Use the five hundred dollars you get from some stranger.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Five hundred to one thousand. It depends on what you
- 9:47Speaker 3: look like, depends on what your vibe is. I might
- 9:49Speaker 3: charge a little bit more. But if a friend wants it.
- 9:51Speaker 3: If a friend is listening to this and it is
- 9:53Speaker 3: yours for.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Free, wow, and then do you have to subscribe to it?
- 9:57Speaker 3: And I think I've been doing that for years? Car
- 9:59Speaker 3: I got I got to get Rocket money or something.
- 10:03Speaker 2: If I tried Rocket Money, yeahn't work for me. Worried
- 10:07Speaker 2: about these subscriptions.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I know I'm paying for some stuff that I have
- 10:10Speaker 3: not participated in years.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I think that I'm not Rocket Money's person because I'm
- 10:15Speaker 2: so cheap that, like, I mean, I cancel a subscription
- 10:19Speaker 2: as soon as I subscribe, basically so I might stay
- 10:21Speaker 2: on top of that.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I do that with the only fans.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Oh sure, you send five dollars or what immediately? You
- 10:29Speaker 2: got to get Rocket money, though you could be losing
- 10:31Speaker 2: thousands of times.
- 10:32Speaker 3: You know, right, I probably am losing. There's definitely some
- 10:35Speaker 3: stuff I don't know. I never see, like an email
- 10:37Speaker 3: from some petrator. That's the trick because they don't remind
- 10:41Speaker 3: you that you pay for it.
- 10:42Speaker 2: They want you to just forget, and you're really a
- 10:45Speaker 2: good client because you're not even in the home with
- 10:46Speaker 2: the peloton. Mostly it's like a cursed object in your life.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Yes, it's just sitting there staring at me.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Oh my god, you're in LA just for a few months.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Are you doing anything enjoyable while you're here?
- 10:58Speaker 3: Everything?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Like what my friends? Sure?
- 11:01Speaker 3: No, I just love my friends.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Is there anything you miss in LA that you're not
- 11:04Speaker 2: experiencing in New York?
- 11:05Speaker 3: My car, M it's the main thing.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Oh this is uh. I feel that I drove.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Over here today to Sonny dude, I'm gonna leave it
- 11:15Speaker 3: out for myself and I uh, I'm just like, man.
- 11:19Speaker 2: This is great personal space, personal space.
- 11:25Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I just cannot get with the attitude and
- 11:28Speaker 3: the idea that public transportation is better than having a car.
- 11:31Speaker 3: It's simply not.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I think it could be.
- 11:35Speaker 3: It could be maybe it is in London or something
- 11:38Speaker 3: like that. Maybe it is on the tube or something
- 11:39Speaker 3: like that. But in New York City.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Boy, is a tough, tough experience.
- 11:44Speaker 3: It's awful every time, and anybody who tells you otherwise
- 11:49Speaker 3: is lying. I was just on the way here. I
- 11:52Speaker 3: was just talking to a friend that was like, call
- 11:55Speaker 3: abandons the city as soon as it gets lit. Everybody's
- 11:58Speaker 3: outside right now, and I go, I'm also outside. I'm
- 12:02Speaker 3: currently outside. I just I know the knixt one and
- 12:08Speaker 3: it's hot out. They got mom, Donnie and all that
- 12:11Speaker 3: type of stuff.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Whatever, Who care care, bro, I get to drive.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I get to drive my car.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I was.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I had forgotten I had to do something the other
- 12:22Speaker 3: day and it was like thirty minutes before I had
- 12:25Speaker 3: to be there, and I was like, ooh, I jumped
- 12:28Speaker 3: in the shower, put on lotion, put on my clothes,
- 12:32Speaker 3: still made it on top.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Of course, you're in control if.
- 12:35Speaker 3: That had to happen, if that happened in New York.
- 12:37Speaker 3: And I was like even an hour before I needed
- 12:39Speaker 3: to be somewhere, I've been like, ain't gonna make it. Cancel,
- 12:41Speaker 3: cancel it. You have to leave two hours every time.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Every time people are not talking about this. I went
- 12:49Speaker 3: on it. I went on a hinge date and the
- 12:52Speaker 3: girl had a very long list of X and she
- 12:57Speaker 3: added to the list of X that I use a
- 13:01Speaker 3: subway timer what because I don't want to wait for
- 13:05Speaker 3: the subway. Oh interest, So I plan out my I
- 13:08Speaker 3: know how long it takes me to walk to the
- 13:10Speaker 3: station and pay, and you know in the elements and
- 13:14Speaker 3: you know, everything prepared, being prepared, And she was like,
- 13:18Speaker 3: why do you do that? This is New York. You
- 13:19Speaker 3: just go and you just like, so what you have
- 13:21Speaker 3: to wait ten minutes ago? I don't want to wait
- 13:23Speaker 3: ten minutes.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Also, that person, that's the sort of person who doesn't
- 13:27Speaker 2: consider any other person because there's somebody on the other
- 13:29Speaker 2: side of that subway that's waiting for her.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she didn't care that tries to one day
- 13:36Speaker 3: it was fine.
- 13:37Speaker 2: So does hinge. Now I haven't been on amps in
- 13:39Speaker 2: a long time. Is there there's like a spot for
- 13:42Speaker 2: you to put X?
- 13:43Speaker 3: No, she didn't have the X on her page. I
- 13:45Speaker 3: would have asked her out if she had that. Oh,
- 13:48Speaker 3: on the date she showed me on those days, on
- 13:51Speaker 3: the dates she showed me, and it was and it
- 13:53Speaker 3: was when I tell you, it was long.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I'm leaving as soon as she decides to show me
- 13:58Speaker 2: the list.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I just wanted to see what she thought was an
- 14:01Speaker 3: it And it was a lot of stuff on it
- 14:02Speaker 3: and she was like, well some of those I'm being funny,
- 14:04Speaker 3: and you think you think I'm not laughing I'm not
- 14:07Speaker 3: laughing at all any other not because they're personal. It
- 14:11Speaker 3: was just like, like, you know, the typical slurping spaghetti
- 14:14Speaker 3: and stuff, which if you would shut up, I'd agree
- 14:17Speaker 3: with you. What what is it? Why you gotta write
- 14:21Speaker 3: that down? Like as if.
- 14:24Speaker 2: So? And also, yeah, who is it for to show
- 14:28Speaker 2: your date? Let that come up? Naturally?
- 14:31Speaker 3: She was like, unfortunately I am adding this. I said,
- 14:33Speaker 3: that's an ick to you that I am? I am?
- 14:38Speaker 2: What is it?
- 14:39Speaker 3: What's the word prepare? Yeah, like that's.
- 14:41Speaker 2: An I'm in control of my life.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's not New York. It's not like in
- 14:45Speaker 3: New York you're supposed to just go with the flow
- 14:47Speaker 3: girls ship the fuck. She's probably listening to this right now.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You know who you are.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Also, Yeah, that I that's an interesting thing. I never
- 14:57Speaker 2: think about dating in New York. I feel like to
- 15:00Speaker 2: a location as part of dating.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Yeah, well see, okay, so here's the deal out there.
- 15:06Speaker 3: You definitely have the option to like, oh, we can
- 15:09Speaker 3: bounce around and and here it's like, well, we gotta
- 15:13Speaker 3: limit how many drinks we have and if we didn't
- 15:15Speaker 3: uber to this place. So I get that right, hitting
- 15:19Speaker 3: hitting third and four because it's easy to hit a
- 15:21Speaker 3: second location here do it all the time. It's hard
- 15:24Speaker 3: to hit the third and fourth location. In New York.
- 15:27Speaker 3: The third and fourth location is halfway through. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 3: so it's it's it's easier there. But I'm you know,
- 15:35Speaker 3: I missed my car. My car and my friends are
- 15:38Speaker 3: the two main things. And also just like quiet, I.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Mean, this is this was my exact experience. Like quiet,
- 15:46Speaker 2: and also listening to music extremely loud in my car.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Yes, singing my lung like and people are like, you
- 15:52Speaker 3: could just zone out on the trenckle. Why would I
- 15:54Speaker 3: do that so somebody could slash me across? Yeah, whyd
- 16:00Speaker 3: I do that?
- 16:01Speaker 2: No, I'm never unless I'm so tired that I'm like
- 16:03Speaker 2: half falling asleep on the train, which is not good.
- 16:06Speaker 3: If I'm half fallen asleep, I'm in a uber. I'm
- 16:09Speaker 3: taking the U to the B to the E to
- 16:11Speaker 3: the R. I'm not I'm not getting on a train
- 16:16Speaker 3: if I'm falling asleep, so I can just end up somewhere.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I've fallen asleep on a train before and ended up
- 16:21Speaker 2: in Queens. That was That's a weird. I mean, it's
- 16:24Speaker 2: once in a lifetime an interesting experience to just be like, well,
- 16:27Speaker 2: what's happened to me? I've basically teleported. But you don't
- 16:31Speaker 2: want that to happen regularly.
- 16:32Speaker 3: No, I'm never on the train that tired, like, because
- 16:37Speaker 3: my job gives us cars.
- 16:38Speaker 2: After You're right, what a feeling that is?
- 16:41Speaker 3: That is a great feeling. Yeah, but the traffic can
- 16:43Speaker 3: be so unbearable that you're like, you're almost like, let
- 16:47Speaker 3: me off, I'm gonna get on the train. The traffic
- 16:50Speaker 3: out there is insane at all times of night. Right.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Have you had any interesting run ins on the subway?
- 16:57Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, anything scary, not necessarily scary, just yet thankfully
- 17:05Speaker 3: people not just weird people of course, just you know,
- 17:09Speaker 3: the dancers, everything, which is it's fine, I get it.
- 17:12Speaker 3: This one guy was like he recognized me, but he didn't.
- 17:16Speaker 3: He wasn't saying.
- 17:17Speaker 2: It like that.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Like he was very you know, very New York aggressive.
- 17:21Speaker 3: He was like, you're my man. Oh boy, you're my man.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Now I'm from the South, so somebody's calling you. I'm
- 17:27Speaker 3: gonna look up, but I'm like, I'm in New York.
- 17:28Speaker 3: He's getting ignored. It's against my personal yeah, of course,
- 17:32Speaker 3: like feeling, but he's getting ignored. He's getting ignored. He goes,
- 17:35Speaker 3: you're my man, you're on TV h you and I went,
- 17:39Speaker 3: I don't love that.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I don't owe you anything. Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah, but I looked up and I went, yeah, I
- 17:45Speaker 3: pop up from time to time. And he said he
- 17:47Speaker 3: was on that one joint. He was on the joint
- 17:49Speaker 3: with the wine. Everybody drinking the wine. Yeah, me and
- 17:52Speaker 3: my lady watched that. We binge that. Yeah, he was.
- 17:56Speaker 3: He didn't know the name of the show.
- 17:58Speaker 2: He was aware of the general concept.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, he didn't name of the show. The show
- 18:03Speaker 3: is called Grand Crew. He did know the name of
- 18:04Speaker 3: the show.
- 18:05Speaker 2: He did.
- 18:05Speaker 3: He did, however, recognize me. And I'm like, if you've
- 18:10Speaker 3: watched that closely that you can recognize me on a
- 18:12Speaker 3: train in the middle of a city that, like I
- 18:16Speaker 3: looked like out of place here? You know the name
- 18:20Speaker 3: of the show?
- 18:20Speaker 2: You were really Yeah, how did you miss that element of.
- 18:23Speaker 3: He was like, we was just watching. Me and my
- 18:24Speaker 3: liter just watched the other night. Say what did you search?
- 18:27Speaker 3: You didn't search the joint with the wine where the
- 18:29Speaker 3: friends and you didn't search that.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I guess maybe what was the opening title of it?
- 18:34Speaker 2: Was probably short? Yeah, yeah, it's probably one of those
- 18:37Speaker 2: things that you just looked down at your phone during
- 18:38Speaker 2: And so I'm on his side here, Actually.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I mean I'm I'm on his side just because he
- 18:43Speaker 3: gave me my Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 2: He was a great fan. Yeah, and he supported the
- 18:46Speaker 2: show he did.
- 18:47Speaker 3: He did.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like most shows opening credits now they
- 18:51Speaker 2: are two shorts. We've gotta stretch him out.
- 18:53Speaker 3: We did have a we did have a good theme song.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Phil Jackson rapped the theme song. You yeah, that was him,
- 18:59Speaker 3: that was him rapped, and.
- 19:00Speaker 2: It was like a full thirty second opening.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Okay, so now I'm not on the sky side anymore.
- 19:06Speaker 3: He should have known he might, he might give intro
- 19:09Speaker 3: oh interesting.
- 19:10Speaker 2: But the song was about I feel bad for all
- 19:12Speaker 2: these designers creating the intros, getting all this work in
- 19:15Speaker 2: and now the company's like, no, you don't have to
- 19:17Speaker 2: do that. If I was creating the intro, I would
- 19:20Speaker 2: be doing something to to strike against.
- 19:23Speaker 3: We gotta go back. We got to go back to
- 19:25Speaker 3: Grammy worthy intros.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yes, do you know? I mean I think the shows
- 19:29Speaker 2: on Apple kind of have nice intros.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I still haven't signed up for that.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Okay, well that's what you think. Get on Rocket Money.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I have four subscriptions too.
- 19:38Speaker 3: One hundred and thirty eight dollars a week to Apple TV.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I haven't watched one show.
- 19:45Speaker 2: You use the rocket money and Apple just collapses depending
- 19:49Speaker 2: on Carl's subscriptions.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I'll be crazy. Breeze Airways, Huheze.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Have you heard of this? I have, It's just come
- 19:57Speaker 2: on to my radar.
- 19:58Speaker 3: It was regional. I was gonna fly from New Orleans
- 20:02Speaker 3: to Charlotte, North Carolina. Sure, and Breeze Airlines was the
- 20:07Speaker 3: only option, and I said, I don't want to get
- 20:09Speaker 3: on that, but it was the only the only straight
- 20:12Speaker 3: through option and it was at like five am, and
- 20:16Speaker 3: so I'm like, this is a double whammie for me.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Not only is it a five am flight where and
- 20:21Speaker 3: the place I'm going is only an hour and a
- 20:22Speaker 3: half away, So I'm gonna get there at six thirty
- 20:24Speaker 3: in the morning, and then I'm flying Breeze Airlines. I
- 20:29Speaker 3: watched so many videos that day on YouTube, all the
- 20:32Speaker 3: all the ad geeks. I was like, what's up with Breeze?
- 20:34Speaker 2: What were they saying? It's fine, Okay, it's a fine
- 20:37Speaker 2: budget airline. Yeah, I want to fly out a burbank
- 20:39Speaker 2: And so you know your option has become slightly limited. Yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 2: I was like, well, it's not Spirit yet.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I've flown Spirit once.
- 20:48Speaker 2: How was that?
- 20:49Speaker 3: It was fine? Oh, I bought the big seat.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Okay, you know it's great.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I only flew it one time in my life, and
- 20:55Speaker 3: I was sad when it went away, interesting because I
- 20:58Speaker 3: was like, yeah, that was actually good for the economy
- 21:01Speaker 3: to have, Like right, yeah, and it was fine. It
- 21:05Speaker 3: was always the butt of every joke. But Spirit ain't
- 21:07Speaker 3: never crashed. Speard ain't never had no real incidents like that.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Well, you you should have stood up. You should have
- 21:12Speaker 2: been brave. You should have stood up for that company.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Who knows where Spirit would be if you had said something.
- 21:17Speaker 3: If I have said something. It's like Arby's.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It's oh my god, It's just like Rpyce.
- 21:21Speaker 3: That's why, that's why I rock with Arby's. Arby's is good.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Arby's is great, and I feel like maybe you and
- 21:25Speaker 2: I haven't done a good enough job supporting the company,
- 21:28Speaker 2: at least within Los Angeles.
- 21:29Speaker 3: I'm gonna say it right now, Arby's, You're great. Keep
- 21:32Speaker 3: doing what you're doing. The nearest one to me in
- 21:36Speaker 3: both of the cities I live in is way too
- 21:38Speaker 3: far to go to because they took them out of
- 21:40Speaker 3: the city.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Where is it in New York?
- 21:43Speaker 3: In New York is in like deep Queens, like something seaside,
- 21:48Speaker 3: something side Queens, not even not Sunnyside, because that would
- 21:52Speaker 3: be easy to get this Queens any side Queens. But
- 21:57Speaker 3: it's in the city still, so you can still kind
- 21:58Speaker 3: of just get there. But this is like, this is deep.
- 22:02Speaker 3: This is almost like on the other side, it's.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't be like justify a day around Arby's, unfortunately,
- 22:10Speaker 2: and I love Arby's.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And it would take a day to get over there.
- 22:15Speaker 2: We've got to get some Arby's back into the city centers. Yes,
- 22:18Speaker 2: but it requires people changing the way they think.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yes, because then you know you like it, yes, and
- 22:23Speaker 3: know you like Arby's. That beef a cheddar is delicious.
- 22:27Speaker 3: The curly fries.
- 22:29Speaker 2: No other restaurant serves a curly fry, not like that. No, no, no,
- 22:33Speaker 2: you can't depend Most restaurants will play with a curly
- 22:35Speaker 2: fry and then they bring it up take it off
- 22:36Speaker 2: the menu. Yes, Arby's has had that since day one exactly.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Also, apparently in the New Philly cheese state they got
- 22:42Speaker 3: is going.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Crazy too well, I'll never get to try it, to.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Try because and the nearest one I think to hear
- 22:48Speaker 3: is like deep deep Sam Bernardino or something.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm not Yeah, that's not again. I'm
- 22:54Speaker 2: not driving that. I'm not putting my life in danger
- 22:56Speaker 2: or other people's lives in danger to get the media
- 23:01Speaker 2: number two combo or whatever it was, getting beef and Yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 2: someday they're gonna have a renaissance.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Yeah, they're coming back. They're coming back, they'll be beat healthy.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Well, there's something else we should probably talk about. Yeah,
- 23:16Speaker 2: you have been on the podcast four times, and I
- 23:18Speaker 2: was hoping this time would be the time that you
- 23:20Speaker 2: kind of figured out what's going on here, But it
- 23:23Speaker 2: seems like you dropped the ball again. You brought a gift, Yes,
- 23:27Speaker 2: I brought you a gift, and it's in this gorgeous
- 23:29Speaker 2: little kind of candy cane wrapper. Is the season?
- 23:33Speaker 3: Is the season?
- 23:33Speaker 2: Christmas in July?
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yes, Christmas in July, celebrating two hundred and fifty Christmases.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Well, should we open it here on the podcast? Please,
- 23:44Speaker 2: let's do it.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Let's but I want you to address the bigger thing first.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Okay, okay, because the second thing is kind of a yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 2: so this object first? Oh okay, the first thing is
- 24:04Speaker 2: something called a solar wave by Acne three minute light
- 24:07Speaker 2: therapy acne spot treatment. Yes. The amount of words on
- 24:11Speaker 2: here that are barely connected smooth clear calm, clinically proven
- 24:15Speaker 2: to target and treat acne pain free, easy to use,
- 24:19Speaker 2: FDA cleared, Yes, I don't believe that that for one second,
- 24:23Speaker 2: science backed and esthetician approved. Go Okay, what's going on here? Now?
- 24:29Speaker 3: I was hoping you could teach me how to use that?
- 24:31Speaker 3: And what is for?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Where did you? Is this an Instagram purchase?
- 24:33Speaker 3: Is not an Instagram purchase? I got that as a
- 24:36Speaker 3: in a gift bag.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Oh my god? Was it with a bunch of other
- 24:39Speaker 2: skin products?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a lot of skin products in there.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Okay, let's open it up. Let's see if we can.
- 24:43Speaker 2: It looks like it says it has two powerful treatments
- 24:46Speaker 2: combined blue light and red light therapy. Okay, that's purple
- 24:50Speaker 2: light therapy.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Now.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Blue light was Kmart blue Oh that's right, Yeah, of course?
- 24:55Speaker 2: Why not special?
- 24:56Speaker 3: Why the jugs?
- 24:57Speaker 2: Why not?
- 24:58Speaker 3: A and Naomi Judd had a a theme song for blue light?
- 25:01Speaker 3: When so we had blue light Internet and my house.
- 25:04Speaker 2: What was k Internet? That can't be.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Free Internet that they would give you free like you
- 25:11Speaker 3: remember like AOL discs. Kmar had one too, and it
- 25:14Speaker 3: was blue Light Internet. What and Naomi and whine on
- 25:18Speaker 3: the jell would get on there and be like flap back,
- 25:21Speaker 3: crack a jack, come on, get on that and that
- 25:25Speaker 3: it was something.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I don't remember the theme song exactly.
- 25:30Speaker 3: But they would get They would sing a song every
- 25:32Speaker 3: time you logged onto the internet. You had to watch
- 25:34Speaker 3: that video.
- 25:35Speaker 2: How was this not a huge hint because it was kmart.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Kmart was Web one point zero. Yeah, it was. They was.
- 25:44Speaker 2: They was at the forefront of the internet. So you
- 25:46Speaker 2: would go into a k Mar and get the CD.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and get hours. You would get hours of right
- 25:51Speaker 3: blue light Internet?
- 25:52Speaker 2: Oh my god, we only got the free AO l Oh.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we would do. I would use that too.
- 25:58Speaker 2: And when you say you used, it was like you're like,
- 26:01Speaker 2: what were we doing? Just kind of like looking at
- 26:05Speaker 2: one screen for a few minutes and then I yeah,
- 26:09Speaker 2: that version of the Internet was very interesting. Okay, so
- 26:12Speaker 2: this let's we're still opening it. Here see customer results. No,
- 26:16Speaker 2: I don't need to see results. There'll be my results yes,
- 26:20Speaker 2: let's keep opening it.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Here cannot wait and it's hard to get into.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, this box is I never used it. Yeah, let's
- 26:26Speaker 2: get in here. People are probably screaming right now. I
- 26:29Speaker 2: use one of those stop before you do it. No
- 26:32Speaker 2: one could stop me here, user, Look at that cute
- 26:35Speaker 2: little thing. It's like it almost looks like a small
- 26:38Speaker 2: shaver or something out. Oh, it's got to it. Yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 2: it's got to be charged. But we can you know,
- 26:44Speaker 2: at least I'll rub it on my face. But it
- 26:47Speaker 2: looks like you probably go like this, right? But does it?
- 26:52Speaker 2: Do you just target acne? Let's see painless? How do
- 26:59Speaker 2: we believe this?
- 27:00Speaker 3: See? That's what I'm scared to burn it off and
- 27:04Speaker 3: be like one of those things you put outside with mosquitos.
- 27:07Speaker 2: All right, I wonder if it's if it gets hot
- 27:09Speaker 2: or anything, or if it's I wonder if we could
- 27:12Speaker 2: elis We don't have a USB charger, do we? I
- 27:14Speaker 2: wish I had?
- 27:15Speaker 4: Which which kind do you need?
- 27:16Speaker 2: It's like a classic US unfortunately a USB A because
- 27:21Speaker 2: maybe we could cryme BF USB A. Maybe we could
- 27:25Speaker 2: charge it a little bit and then bring it back in.
- 27:29Speaker 2: But this USB is kind of becoming extinct.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Yeah, ain't that crazy.
- 27:33Speaker 2: That's just why I.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Guess they blew that internet of USB cables.
- 27:37Speaker 2: We've got to settle on a cable for like and
- 27:40Speaker 2: just promise everyone will be using.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Apple, the ones that keep making up these new cables
- 27:44Speaker 3: of course, so we can have to have to there
- 27:47Speaker 3: we go, Oh, let's see.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Oh, let's see. Oh, oh that's right here, yes, and
- 27:53Speaker 2: then what's your charge? That absolutely just for a few minutes,
- 27:57Speaker 2: you know, and we'll see what happens. Wow, we're gonna
- 27:59Speaker 2: I want to try this thing and I want results overnight.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Yeah, he ain't no bumpster. You got good skin.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's it's weird as an adult to
- 28:09Speaker 2: get zits. It's inescapable.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you know you've been doing something wrong well, and.
- 28:15Speaker 2: It's stress related most of the time. Yeah, which is
- 28:19Speaker 2: this to me makes no sense biologically where your body
- 28:21Speaker 2: like is stressed out, so it creates something that is
- 28:23Speaker 2: only going to intensify the stress. Yeah, it does. It
- 28:28Speaker 2: seems so backwards.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I've gotten so. As I had mentioned earlier, I'm a
- 28:33Speaker 3: hat guy, and there are times where it gets a
- 28:35Speaker 3: little hot outside, right, and I got the hat on,
- 28:38Speaker 3: and then like maybe a couple days later, I'll wake
- 28:40Speaker 3: up with a little thing right here, and I'm like,
- 28:42Speaker 3: you nasty man, you disgusting man, sitting in the swallowing
- 28:48Speaker 3: in your own body.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Yeah. I guess it's because it's got a little bit
- 28:52Speaker 2: of sweat it's keeping and then the bacteria could potentially
- 28:55Speaker 2: grow there. But everybody gets them. Yeah, I feel like
- 28:59Speaker 2: you get them into your seventies, and it's a nightmare
- 29:02Speaker 2: because you get out of middleville or high school or whatever.
- 29:04Speaker 2: You're like, I'm clear and free, I'm ready to go
- 29:06Speaker 2: into I'm away from that. No, no, yeah, And then
- 29:11Speaker 2: it actually is worse because at least in middle school
- 29:13Speaker 2: you're expected to just be a monster.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, if you get one on your nose, it's really like, oh,
- 29:19Speaker 3: that's the worst, just absolute torture, Rudolph.
- 29:22Speaker 2: And then I guess people are embracing those little stars
- 29:26Speaker 2: that they put on.
- 29:27Speaker 3: That's a new that's the thing now that people are like, oh,
- 29:29Speaker 3: these are actually cute to wear outside.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Right, But I'm not getting away with that. I ain't
- 29:33Speaker 2: putting that shit on. Are you kidding me?
- 29:36Speaker 3: What are you wearing? I was just doing a job
- 29:40Speaker 3: and a lady was like, do you want a pimple
- 29:42Speaker 3: star because I had like razor bumps from shaving. Oh right, right,
- 29:45Speaker 3: she's do you want the pimple stars? Like, oh no,
- 29:47Speaker 3: you're not going to put them things on my face?
- 29:49Speaker 2: Who do you think I am so that.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Girl can put on her I list.
- 29:54Speaker 2: You show up to a date with one of those.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Hey, sorry I'm late. Do you order it already? I'm
- 30:00Speaker 3: thinking of cabernet.
- 30:02Speaker 2: That's a good way to say abotage to date for sure. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 2: I don't. But maybe I feel like they need to
- 30:09Speaker 2: just have a range of those little stars. I feel
- 30:11Speaker 2: like they're they could get into something that a normal
- 30:13Speaker 2: adults would feel comfortable wearing.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Yeah, it's got to be clear. Yeah, just when I
- 30:18Speaker 3: see the people with the clearers, I'm always.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Like yeah, because then it's like kind of hidden. It's
- 30:23Speaker 2: like wearing a band aid on your face.
- 30:25Speaker 3: It's like you blurred out the pimple.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Right, and we know what's under there. You edit it
- 30:29Speaker 2: in post, Yes, exactly so. But I feel like the
- 30:33Speaker 2: there's just so much money there. One of these industries
- 30:36Speaker 2: has got to figure out how to just take care
- 30:38Speaker 2: of them. Yeah, there's got to be some science that
- 30:41Speaker 2: could like immediately take care now. And it may be
- 30:44Speaker 2: this the sola wave.
- 30:45Speaker 3: It may be that we may be making fun of
- 30:47Speaker 3: this thing, but that may be the best thing for
- 30:48Speaker 3: pimples ever.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Right, do you do any sort of like skincare treatment? No?
- 30:53Speaker 3: No, I do like I mean from my from my face.
- 30:56Speaker 3: When I shave, right, I have to like xfoliate, So scrub.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I scrub with a with like a sponge that that's
- 31:04Speaker 3: soft enough for the face, but strong enough for a man,
- 31:06Speaker 3: for a man, strung enough for a man, made for
- 31:09Speaker 3: a woman. But I scrub that, clean it out, scrub
- 31:13Speaker 3: good rints, and then I put on a solution, a
- 31:15Speaker 3: topical solution called tinned skin.
- 31:18Speaker 2: And that's pre shaved, post shape shot. And then like
- 31:23Speaker 2: a just a shaving crebe.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Well appreciate it. So here's the deal. I use clippers
- 31:27Speaker 3: because I can't. You know, I am an African American,
- 31:31Speaker 3: and my skin, my hair grows out and goes right
- 31:34Speaker 3: back in. Okay, sure, so if it gets if I
- 31:36Speaker 3: use a razor and I shaved too closely, the hair
- 31:41Speaker 3: sometimes doesn't even leave the skin. Whoa, because it's it's
- 31:44Speaker 3: like like angled at the at the follicle tip and
- 31:48Speaker 3: it doesn't even leave so it just creates an infection.
- 31:52Speaker 3: So I have so I have to shave at a
- 31:56Speaker 3: at skin level, but I have There are shavers that
- 31:59Speaker 3: do that. They get a close shave, but the hair
- 32:00Speaker 3: is still present.
- 32:02Speaker 2: And how often are you shaving? Like three every three days?
- 32:04Speaker 3: Every two to three days schedule, depending on what I
- 32:07Speaker 3: have to do, Like today, I knew I was coming here,
- 32:09Speaker 3: so that did look right.
- 32:11Speaker 2: I feel like I've never seen you scruffy or anything.
- 32:13Speaker 2: I can grow a pretty big beerd okay, but it
- 32:16Speaker 2: ages me and it's it's graying now, and don't give
- 32:19Speaker 2: it away. Carl is nineteen years old.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm nineteen. I was born in two thousand and six.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Six that's seven.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Oh my god, I live in nineteen years. I graduated.
- 32:38Speaker 3: We're about to have our twenty year reunion. You give
- 32:41Speaker 3: me fiddling with stuff and I missed it up?
- 32:43Speaker 2: Were you? What is that for? Actually there's a little
- 32:46Speaker 2: hole in the table to put through. I don't need that. No,
- 32:50Speaker 2: I have to shave every morning. Yeah, it's a total
- 32:53Speaker 2: nightmare for me.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Have I seen you with a beer?
- 32:55Speaker 2: I can't grow a beer. That's the problem I have,
- 32:57Speaker 2: Like terrible. Yeah, it's like I think that something has
- 33:01Speaker 2: happened on one side of my face where a beard
- 33:03Speaker 2: wouldn't connect directly with the hair, and so it's just
- 33:07Speaker 2: not for me. Well, it'll never work out.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Use a razor.
- 33:10Speaker 2: I use a razor. It's such it's a nightmare. You
- 33:14Speaker 2: put electric shave on after I do I have to
- 33:17Speaker 2: do the whole situation. Yeah, it's just Uh, can you
- 33:20Speaker 2: just get your face lasered? Uh? You can.
- 33:23Speaker 3: I don't think you want to, but you can do that.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I'm sure people do that. I'm sure they do. I'm
- 33:28Speaker 3: sure there's people becau. There's probably people out there who
- 33:30Speaker 3: don't want hair on their face. They grow hair on
- 33:32Speaker 3: their face.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Right, Oh yeah, like a mustache or whatever. Yeah right.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I mean if that was a possibility for me, I
- 33:39Speaker 2: think it would just be a time saving thing because
- 33:41Speaker 2: I just it's not in my future. I guess I
- 33:44Speaker 2: might be able to grow a mustache. But imagine me,
- 33:48Speaker 2: I would such a perfect People would be like perfect.
- 33:52Speaker 2: It would look tight. You got it.
- 33:53Speaker 3: You got to embrace the stash.
- 33:55Speaker 2: No, it would be a surrey. You're making the other
- 33:56Speaker 2: customers uncomfortable, that kind of thing.
- 33:59Speaker 3: I love this ash. I can't I can't go with that,
- 34:01Speaker 3: and now.
- 34:01Speaker 2: You've got a great mustag. Thank you. Uh.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I sometimes will cut this little piece off because you
- 34:08Speaker 3: can see it's very gray.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's distinguished.
- 34:12Speaker 3: You know, I have a job where everybody's young.
- 34:16Speaker 2: You're in a business where everyone needs to be ninety.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Yeah, everyone needs to be nineteen. So I kind of like,
- 34:21Speaker 3: I don't like the way. If it grew in full gray,
- 34:24Speaker 3: then i'd probably leave it a little bit more.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Oh.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Interesting, it's like.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Very patchy gray, so I just look like a crazy person.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Could you do a mass scare or something on it?
- 34:31Speaker 3: Listen, I have tricks when I when I when I
- 34:34Speaker 3: do grow to beerd that. I have tricks.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Okay, you have to Yeah, yeah.
- 34:38Speaker 3: I leave I leave my hair gray because I like that.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Okay, it kind of looks cool. Yeah, I like that combination.
- 34:43Speaker 2: But I darken up the beard, yeah beer. Yeah. Until
- 34:47Speaker 2: it's fully gray, it feels it starts to get patchy
- 34:50Speaker 2: or something. If there's a little bit of gray and
- 34:52Speaker 2: it doesn't, it doesn't look it's not appealing, Carl. It's disgusting.
- 34:57Speaker 3: It's disgusting, disgusting.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just not in my future, unfortunately, And it's
- 35:03Speaker 2: I guess it's just something I have to deal with.
- 35:06Speaker 2: But maybe I'll get a lasered or something. But does
- 35:08Speaker 2: lasering never like it's not a permanent thing even right,
- 35:11Speaker 2: you just can not. I don't think so. I think
- 35:13Speaker 2: it lasts for a while, okay, but it's probably extremely painful.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you notice it. It's painful.
- 35:18Speaker 2: They're burning.
- 35:18Speaker 3: You're gonna hear it. You gotta wear ugly, weird plastic
- 35:23Speaker 3: shade's gonna cut you above your nose.
- 35:25Speaker 2: You don't have tattoos. I don't go one, two, three tattoos.
- 35:29Speaker 2: When did you get your first tattoo?
- 35:30Speaker 3: When I was thirty two?
- 35:31Speaker 2: Oh?
- 35:32Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, not long ago?
- 35:33Speaker 2: And did it? Was there a reason or you're just
- 35:35Speaker 2: like it's time to get a tattoo?
- 35:36Speaker 3: But the first one we got for the TV show.
- 35:38Speaker 2: That I was, oh, very Lord of the Rings. Yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 2: they all get it a ring or something tattooed.
- 35:46Speaker 3: That's fun. Yeah, we did that and that was my
- 35:48Speaker 3: first one, and then I was like, man, I'm gonna
- 35:51Speaker 3: get more. And then I got two that I don't regret.
- 35:55Speaker 3: It ain't like a regret like I hate that I
- 35:56Speaker 3: have these, but it is a I didn't need that,
- 36:01Speaker 3: Like you know what I'm saying, right, it's got a regret,
- 36:03Speaker 3: but it's like why I didn't need it?
- 36:05Speaker 2: This is unnecessary, unnecessary? Right?
- 36:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 2: One of them is La. What's the other tattoo?
- 36:10Speaker 3: Missippi my home?
- 36:11Speaker 2: Oh, I think that's nice.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it's got I got both my both my homes.
- 36:14Speaker 2: They make sense. Yeah, it's not just like a random
- 36:17Speaker 2: image or something.
- 36:18Speaker 3: And I kind of want to do more stuff. My
- 36:19Speaker 3: favorite flower is to magno Yeah, I kind of want
- 36:21Speaker 3: to nice to stay flower Missipip. I kind of want
- 36:23Speaker 3: to get a Magnoia situation. But I'm like, I don't
- 36:25Speaker 3: want to do too much because then you got to
- 36:27Speaker 3: start getting painted over right, do jobs, and it's like
- 36:31Speaker 3: now your call time is five forty five in the
- 36:33Speaker 3: morning when it could be.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Just dip you and make up at this point. Yeah. Yeah,
- 36:37Speaker 2: so yeah, that's my one concern about getting a tattoo
- 36:40Speaker 2: is that I'll want more.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Yeah, and you do you end up like you're like, Dad,
- 36:43Speaker 3: I could I could get another one of these that
- 36:45Speaker 3: didn't hurt as bad as I thought it did.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Right, And then I think you probably at some point
- 36:49Speaker 2: it's like, well, now I have to get some I
- 36:51Speaker 2: have to get enough to just distract from the bad one.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and now you're getting a slick cut in your
- 36:56Speaker 3: tongue and you're a lizard man.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Okay, there's this other product that I just pulled out, which.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Is the real Tree Edge. Yes, that is the real
- 37:08Speaker 3: Tree Edge cologne. I got you one of those before
- 37:11Speaker 3: on the live show. Gave it, yes at the live show,
- 37:13Speaker 3: and you gave it away, and I knew that you
- 37:15Speaker 3: felt awful for having to give it away, and so
- 37:18Speaker 3: I brought you another bottle sixteen. I got a three pack.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Yes, it comes in the three It comes in a
- 37:28Speaker 2: three pack we gave.
- 37:29Speaker 3: There's another listener another, another listener out there that has
- 37:32Speaker 3: the other one. Now you have that one and I
- 37:34Speaker 3: have one left.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Wow, we're all kind of connected. Interesting this is, yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 2: but who knows? Uh? Do you you use this though? Right?
- 37:42Speaker 3: I used to?
- 37:43Speaker 2: Not anymore? Did you get bad feedback about it?
- 37:46Speaker 3: No? It smells kind of good. I don't think it.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I just don't think it lasts very long.
- 37:49Speaker 2: It smells nice.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Used the use that of the warranty card on.
- 37:52Speaker 2: The on the table idea. It's a little Yeah, it's
- 37:57Speaker 2: not terrible. No, I never like have a really bad
- 38:01Speaker 2: reaction to any perfume. I'm never like, oh it's enough.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I'm trying to get into them. And like I asked
- 38:09Speaker 3: like the girls at work and be like, all right,
- 38:10Speaker 3: how does this one smell was? And they all have
- 38:12Speaker 3: different opinions. Yeah. So like my the writer's assistant, Taylor,
- 38:17Speaker 3: she's amazing, and she goes, well, your your base, yeah,
- 38:21Speaker 3: you as a base present masculine, so you should have
- 38:25Speaker 3: you could do a floral because I like a floral.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Right, It's like putting a little salt on candy or something. Yeah,
- 38:31Speaker 2: it's like the salt and sweet, the saltiness.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Yes, I like. I like a floral. I like I
- 38:36Speaker 3: like a light floral smell. I don't like something that's
- 38:39Speaker 3: too late. I don't like tobacco and cigar that has
- 38:42Speaker 3: never made any sense, sander wood and belt, I don't
- 38:46Speaker 3: like those. So I like, I like a good floral.
- 38:49Speaker 3: And I went and I wanted to get like an
- 38:51Speaker 3: expensive one, right, So I was going around getting a
- 38:54Speaker 3: ode to this u ode to joy and all that
- 38:57Speaker 3: type of stuff, and like I was asking them the testimony,
- 39:01Speaker 3: and then some girls be like, I like that one.
- 39:03Speaker 3: I hate that one. That's the one I like yeah,
- 39:06Speaker 3: there's no win. There's no winning.
- 39:07Speaker 2: How are you. I think you can't really select one
- 39:09Speaker 2: until you're in a relationship exactly.
- 39:11Speaker 3: You can't ask random random women.
- 39:13Speaker 2: No, that doesn't work. Yeah, that could have interesting. So
- 39:17Speaker 2: and then do you go to like a department store
- 39:19Speaker 2: to buy in.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 39:20Speaker 2: Wow, I like this. It's kind of a fun little hot.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Sax fifth Avenue on fifth, like the real sax fith
- 39:25Speaker 3: Avenue aue classic the one, and they were closing, and
- 39:28Speaker 3: so going to the one they were having a sale. Great,
- 39:31Speaker 3: the one on the one on on actual fifth Avenue
- 39:34Speaker 3: in New York City was closing, and so I went
- 39:36Speaker 3: over there and I got like, uh, I got I
- 39:39Speaker 3: forget which one it was, but it's Mason does something right.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I don't know any of this, Yeah it is.
- 39:44Speaker 3: But what you got to do is so what I
- 39:45Speaker 3: do is I put a base layer of vanilla oil.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Okay, and then I spread it. Oh that sounds lovely.
- 39:51Speaker 3: I just went just when I dress up on every day,
- 39:55Speaker 3: I don't.
- 39:55Speaker 2: I don't do that going into the office smelling. Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 2: seems like you're I don't know.
- 40:00Speaker 3: On Saturdays though, when we dress up and it's an important.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Thing, right, I do right. It's like going out.
- 40:07Speaker 3: And sometimes I'm worried I put too much.
- 40:09Speaker 2: That's the biggest concern for me. It's just being like
- 40:14Speaker 2: people should only be able to smell you when they're
- 40:15Speaker 2: very close to you.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Yes, I remember one time I was sitting on the
- 40:18Speaker 3: couch next to somebody and they got up and went
- 40:19Speaker 3: sat on another couch, and I went. I prayed that
- 40:21Speaker 3: that wasn't because I stink, like because I got too
- 40:24Speaker 3: much Cologno.
- 40:25Speaker 2: The idea driving people away from my smell using my smell,
- 40:29Speaker 2: there's kind of nothing worse I can imagine.
- 40:32Speaker 3: It's the worst thing ever.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Yes, Ellis, how is the charging going? Oh? Ellis has
- 40:38Speaker 2: been in there, probably using it, probably just blasting zits away.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Let's see here, it's time for me to do a
- 40:47Speaker 2: little red blue light therapy. Thank you? All right? Okay, whoa?
- 40:56Speaker 3: All right?
- 40:57Speaker 2: Oh it is kind of purplely, so then you just
- 40:59Speaker 2: hold I wonder how long you hold it on your
- 41:01Speaker 2: face for. I guess you're supposed to read the directions.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Read the direction. Yeah, let's see, tell me what to
- 41:05Speaker 2: do here. Okay, it's very bright. I'll say that this
- 41:10Speaker 2: is weird. Direction is stick it up your ass Let
- 41:17Speaker 2: me see how.
- 41:18Speaker 3: To use the device. Prior to using the device, make
- 41:20Speaker 3: sure it's fully charged, clean the skin, Clean the skin
- 41:24Speaker 3: that you want to treat. Make sure your skin is
- 41:25Speaker 3: completely driving for using. Make sure the device is unplugged
- 41:28Speaker 3: and place the device on the skin. Turn on the device,
- 41:31Speaker 3: Enjoy the treatment.
- 41:32Speaker 2: That's it. Look how long that book is? What else
- 41:35Speaker 2: does it have to say? The rest is just like
- 41:37Speaker 2: an original limited warranty. Safety.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Do not use the device on swollen infector inflanned area
- 41:43Speaker 3: such as skin eruptions. Do not imply. Do not apply
- 41:47Speaker 3: excess of pressure. You was just pressing it up again,
- 41:49Speaker 3: very hard.
- 41:49Speaker 2: How long are you supposed to do? It doesn't even
- 41:51Speaker 2: take you How long? No? All right?
- 41:53Speaker 3: Waituh, enjoy the treatment. Press on and off for one second.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Turn on LED therapy. You hear a beat when the
- 41:59Speaker 3: device turned. The device switches off after three minute treatment automatically.
- 42:02Speaker 3: You may stop the treatment anytime, so I guess three minutes.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Take the device off the treatment, or clean the device
- 42:08Speaker 3: using a water wipe.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of things I'm going to be
- 42:11Speaker 2: ignoring with this one.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but it is.
- 42:15Speaker 2: I'm feeling nothing but the fact that it said don't
- 42:18Speaker 2: put it near any sort of like wound or whatever
- 42:22Speaker 2: makes me think maybe it does do something, because why
- 42:24Speaker 2: else would they warn you not to do something? Yeah?
- 42:28Speaker 3: Have you ever not disposed of the device with household waste?
- 42:31Speaker 3: The device should be recycled, It should be respected. The
- 42:33Speaker 3: device contains a lithium ion battery. Oh, make sure that
- 42:38Speaker 3: it's in your carry on.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Oh use a carry on.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Okay, see, now that's that's what I'm talking about.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Do you check a bag?
- 42:46Speaker 3: I only check a bag when I'm going for a
- 42:49Speaker 3: long time, right. Other than that, I try to stuff
- 42:52Speaker 3: everything in a carry on.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Here.
- 42:53Speaker 3: The hard part about the carry ons, though, is I
- 42:57Speaker 3: like to bring multiple pairs of shoes.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Oh, you got right.
- 43:01Speaker 3: So I've been forcing myself to be like, you're only
- 43:03Speaker 3: taking one pair, so take a good pair, take it life.
- 43:06Speaker 2: That takes a lot of self control.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Then, because I wear I was fourteen, So in a
- 43:09Speaker 3: carry on that's a big shoe. That's like taking up
- 43:11Speaker 3: one whole side one pair.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Can they go in the personal bag? You could throw
- 43:17Speaker 2: something there.
- 43:17Speaker 3: I got a big backpack. I use that for my
- 43:19Speaker 3: hat case traveling sales, all right, I have, and then
- 43:25Speaker 3: my other bag I used for encyclopedias.
- 43:29Speaker 2: And then I pushed the fact.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and then I fold out my shirt. There's with
- 43:34Speaker 3: the knives though.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I will do everything in my power to only
- 43:41Speaker 2: use a carry on. Yeah, I'm just like, well, I
- 43:44Speaker 2: guess I'll just not dress that. Well, it's better than
- 43:46Speaker 2: having to wait at a carousel.
- 43:48Speaker 3: That's so true, so so true. So I checked the
- 43:52Speaker 3: bag when I was coming home for the summer and
- 43:54Speaker 3: I'm here for months, and so I checked the bag
- 43:56Speaker 3: and I was like, I still could have brought just
- 43:58Speaker 3: a carry.
- 43:59Speaker 2: On, but I want I there was other shoes that
- 44:00Speaker 2: I wanted to switch out.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but like I waiting for that back. It took
- 44:06Speaker 3: thirty minutes. It took thirty minutes. First of all, we landed,
- 44:10Speaker 3: we got off the plane, saw one of my favorite
- 44:12Speaker 3: influencers and had to can you say respect? Yes, this
- 44:15Speaker 3: guy named Hungry for Munchies. Like that name he has,
- 44:18Speaker 3: he has, He has great content.
- 44:20Speaker 2: He just eating things. Yeah, he just eats.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Stuff and does reviews or he'll like see a video
- 44:24Speaker 3: and he'll make something. And he's got a great vibe
- 44:26Speaker 3: to him. And he was on the plane. I was like, hey, man,
- 44:28Speaker 3: love your videos. And he's like, what do you do.
- 44:30Speaker 3: I was like, I'm a writer at SNL and he's like,
- 44:33Speaker 3: you write like the jokes, And I guess you could
- 44:35Speaker 3: say that I write some of the jokes.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Yes, wow, Yeah, that's Hungry for Monchies.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Hungry for Munchie shoutout, hungry for Munchies. He's great, he
- 44:48Speaker 3: is a great content creator. I'm promoting this channel on here.
- 44:51Speaker 2: And so this was while waiting for the baggage.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Well, I saw him getting off the plane. We got
- 44:56Speaker 3: all together and then we ended up on the escalator
- 44:59Speaker 3: at the same time. That's when i Will felt the
- 45:01Speaker 3: confidence to say, hey, I.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Like your videos. All right, this guy is currently on
- 45:06Speaker 2: another podcast being like this guy approached me and said,
- 45:08Speaker 2: hey man.
- 45:09Speaker 3: He was so weird. He kept rubbing the back of
- 45:12Speaker 3: my hand. He said he had knives in his jacket
- 45:19Speaker 3: and he's pushing a vacuum.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Every house needs something.
- 45:24Speaker 3: He was wearing a he was wearing a plaid suit
- 45:26Speaker 3: jacket with with with elbow patches. He kept he kept
- 45:31Speaker 3: licking his hand and combing his hair over.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Well, I'm so glad to have my new Colonne. Yes,
- 45:41Speaker 2: it's kind of like a Yeah.
- 45:44Speaker 3: I wasn't going to allow you to escape. This is
- 45:46Speaker 3: a curse to be a real tree brother.
- 45:48Speaker 2: I okay, I'm this one. I'm gonna commit to having
- 45:50Speaker 2: this in my house. Leaving my house, it will be
- 45:54Speaker 2: there in my medicine cabinet or something.
- 45:57Speaker 3: One day. You're gonna have guests coming over.
- 46:03Speaker 2: And then they'll recognize that. They'll say, I've smelled that
- 46:05Speaker 2: somewhere before.
- 46:06Speaker 3: When I think of that, I think of rugged masculinity,
- 46:10Speaker 3: perhaps hunting down a creature that's mineing his business in
- 46:13Speaker 3: its own habitat. I think I think of actually dressing
- 46:17Speaker 3: up like that creature, or dressing up like the environment
- 46:20Speaker 3: around the creature and killing that guy.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Have you ever been hunting?
- 46:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 46:25Speaker 2: Okay, do you like it?
- 46:27Speaker 3: No?
- 46:27Speaker 2: Okay?
- 46:28Speaker 3: Guns are too loud.
- 46:30Speaker 2: That's the issue.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Yeah, guns are too loud. There's other issues. My main problem.
- 46:37Speaker 3: That is a problem what the problem is for the deers.
- 46:41Speaker 3: But my main problem. Gun's too loud.
- 46:44Speaker 2: That's my problem with plane crashes too loud, too loud.
- 46:48Speaker 3: To getting out of here.
- 46:53Speaker 2: I think we should play a game.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 46:55Speaker 2: We're going to play gift to a curse. I need
- 46:57Speaker 2: a number between one and ten from you. Give me six, Okay,
- 47:00Speaker 2: I have to do some like calculating, so you can promote, recommend,
- 47:03Speaker 2: do whatever you want.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Okay, it's my time to promote, so I'm gonna I'm
- 47:07Speaker 3: gonna recommend you check out Hungry for Munchie's videos, and
- 47:11Speaker 3: I'm also gonna recommend you check out Real Tree Edge Cologne.
- 47:14Speaker 3: But also you have to watch Saturday Night Live on
- 47:18Speaker 3: Saturday nights at eleven thirty pm. I know what you're saying.
- 47:21Speaker 3: I haven't watched the show since high school. It hasn't
- 47:23Speaker 3: been funny since these people have been on. And if
- 47:25Speaker 3: that's true, sure, but I'm there now and I need
- 47:30Speaker 3: the money. So watch the show and also follow me
- 47:34Speaker 3: on Instagram at damn it called d A M M
- 47:36Speaker 3: I T C A r L. And also check out
- 47:39Speaker 3: my patriot patriot dot com for Slash Hollywood Handbook. It
- 47:44Speaker 3: was a bunch of shows that you can listen to
- 47:45Speaker 3: me and Lamar Show. Lamar is also a guest of
- 47:47Speaker 3: the podcast Seet Lamar Woods. We have a show where
- 47:50Speaker 3: we talk about sopranos, but we mostly just talk about
- 47:52Speaker 3: our own personal and private lives for forty five minutes
- 47:56Speaker 3: and then go all right. So Tony was tripping this
- 47:58Speaker 3: episode right, that's.
- 48:01Speaker 2: The way to recap a show. Yeah, okay, this is
- 48:05Speaker 2: how we play gift to a curse. I'll name three
- 48:06Speaker 2: you know how, I'll name three things. You tell me
- 48:08Speaker 2: if they're a gift to you a curse, and why I'll
- 48:10Speaker 2: tell if you're right or wrong. You've lost and won
- 48:12Speaker 2: this game, So who knows what's gonna happen this time?
- 48:15Speaker 2: All right? This first one is from a listener named
- 48:17Speaker 2: Brian Gift or a curse. Airport lounges Gift, Why.
- 48:21Speaker 3: I'll tell you. No, I'm changing my answer. No, No,
- 48:26Speaker 3: I'm keeping my hand and I'm gonna tell you why.
- 48:29Speaker 3: I was flying Delta one to come home recently. Not
- 48:34Speaker 3: paid for by me. Don't think I'm anna Coastal Elite. Yeah,
- 48:37Speaker 3: it was paid for by yet I will because I
- 48:39Speaker 3: will be doing that. But it was I had access
- 48:42Speaker 3: to the lounge and I hadn't. I got to the airport, said,
- 48:49Speaker 3: I want to say, like three or four hours early
- 48:52Speaker 3: before my flight or my flight got moved when I
- 48:54Speaker 3: got to the air or something like that. And they
- 48:57Speaker 3: had sleeping lounges, Oh my god, and they had a
- 49:01Speaker 3: napline and I was like, how long can I be
- 49:03Speaker 3: in there, and they were like, well, we give about
- 49:06Speaker 3: an hour.
- 49:07Speaker 2: You can't move in.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't move in, but if nobody is no,
- 49:10Speaker 3: if nobody's coming after you, you can just and we'll
- 49:13Speaker 3: alert if somebody's coming. I was like, I really only
- 49:16Speaker 3: need an hour.
- 49:17Speaker 2: I was just that early.
- 49:19Speaker 3: I really need like an hour hour and fifteen hour thirty.
- 49:22Speaker 3: When I tell you, I went in that joker and
- 49:24Speaker 3: conked out. I was like, this is great, this is great.
- 49:31Speaker 3: So and also the food is always fine. I love
- 49:36Speaker 3: a sausage. I love a breakfast sausage. I love a pancake.
- 49:41Speaker 3: I like to mix my pancakes and sausage.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Make a little hot dog, get a little pick and
- 49:46Speaker 2: a blanket.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's good. The eggs you could tell they're
- 49:51Speaker 3: made from that powder.
- 49:52Speaker 2: The powder.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Yeah, they're definitely powdered eggs. I'm not a coffee drinker.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Do love the free champagne at six thirty in the morning,
- 49:59Speaker 3: like a real degenerate. And uh yeah, sometimes the views
- 50:05Speaker 3: are great to the I like planes. I'm an ad geek.
- 50:08Speaker 3: So I'm gonna say gift.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Carl, wrong, wrong, Now, Carl, we have a class problem
- 50:18Speaker 2: in America. You've just described. These things should be absolutely,
- 50:25Speaker 2: absolutely removed. These this should be illegal. What you've just
- 50:27Speaker 2: described is unless we're all in the airport lounge. None
- 50:32Speaker 2: of us is in the airport.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Lounge seeking of class issues. You wouldn't say that if
- 50:36Speaker 3: you was in an ape class. Sorry, sorry that I
- 50:39Speaker 3: did the work. Sorry, I did my homework.
- 50:42Speaker 2: When the revolution starts, they're going to go to the
- 50:44Speaker 2: airport lounge just first, right, they're gonna be dragging people
- 50:46Speaker 2: out of those sleeping booths.
- 50:48Speaker 3: I ain't gonna make it a sleepoo. I'm gonna loose
- 50:49Speaker 3: that door. Y'all can do whatever you want to with
- 50:53Speaker 3: them people out there eating the powdered eggs. But no,
- 50:55Speaker 3: I'm gonna be sleep.
- 50:58Speaker 4: No.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Ever, the whole airport should be the lounge, not just
- 51:02Speaker 2: for Carl and his gorgeous cross country flight. Okay, so
- 51:08Speaker 2: you've gotten one wrong so far. You're in some bad
- 51:10Speaker 2: territory cross.
- 51:11Speaker 3: Country flight, not even not even out of the country flight.
- 51:14Speaker 3: I don't leave America to fifty.
- 51:18Speaker 2: All right. The second one is from my listener named
- 51:21Speaker 2: Lisa Gift or a curse going away parties.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Curse Why cause I don't want my friends to go nowhere?
- 51:28Speaker 3: Oh we're moving too. Many people are moving out of
- 51:30Speaker 3: Los Angeles. They going home and I'm going back to Denver.
- 51:34Speaker 3: It's like, no, stay, let's kick it. Don't know. And
- 51:39Speaker 3: also like what do you do? I get you a gift,
- 51:41Speaker 3: but you're moving, so no curse?
- 51:46Speaker 2: Correct. Yes, yeah it's a bummer. Yeah, it's not a
- 51:49Speaker 2: fun thing. It's not fun for the person, and that
- 51:52Speaker 2: it ends in tears. You just stick around, Yeah, stick around.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Everybody needs to just stick around if you found your place, don't.
- 52:01Speaker 3: You know with the even more of a curse. But
- 52:02Speaker 3: a going away party, well, these are people who'll be like,
- 52:05Speaker 3: I'm leaving for three weeks.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Those are the people who need to leave.
- 52:09Speaker 3: Yeah, they leave longer. Stay gone.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Going away party unless you're gonna be gone for over
- 52:14Speaker 2: a year, actually I would say over three years. Yes,
- 52:18Speaker 2: we don't need to have a going away going away no, no, no,
- 52:22Speaker 2: I need a full move. I need to see like
- 52:23Speaker 2: the mortgage payment of your next location. If I'm throwing
- 52:26Speaker 2: it going away, yeah, because you're not wasting my time
- 52:30Speaker 2: with your stupid party.
- 52:31Speaker 3: I need to see four buff Armenian guys outside smoking,
- 52:35Speaker 3: ready to get all your shit out of your place.
- 52:38Speaker 2: All right, You've gotten one right so far. This is
- 52:41Speaker 2: the final one from a listener named Britney. Gift your
- 52:44Speaker 2: a curse casual restaurants that have no clear direction on
- 52:48Speaker 2: if you bust your own tables? Curse? Why tell me? Like? What? Who?
- 52:54Speaker 3: I so that's not really casual? I would say that's
- 52:58Speaker 3: more like fast food. You don't know if you like
- 53:01Speaker 3: take the tray up to the front and dump it
- 53:03Speaker 3: in the in the swinging door trash can uh because
- 53:08Speaker 3: like at a casual restaurant, you're not gonna bust your
- 53:11Speaker 3: own table.
- 53:12Speaker 2: I guess we're talking fast casual.
- 53:14Speaker 3: Here, like fast like Applebee's and stuff like that.
- 53:16Speaker 2: You know, it's more of a category of let's try
- 53:19Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of, like I think a Chipotle
- 53:23Speaker 2: a like.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Uh so I would consider Chipotle fast food, right, but
- 53:31Speaker 3: a little bit higher than MacDonald's light right, but fast fast,
- 53:35Speaker 3: sit down, but not casual. I don't know either way.
- 53:41Speaker 3: I agree that's a curse. You're supposed to tell me
- 53:44Speaker 3: if if I'm supposed tosks my momouf because I don't
- 53:46Speaker 3: want to leave being the dick, it would have like
- 53:48Speaker 3: if I leave my stuff there because I thought I
- 53:50Speaker 3: was supposed to, and.
- 53:50Speaker 2: That person's like, I'm gonna remember that person forever.
- 53:54Speaker 3: I know that guy. I've seen him on the wine
- 53:56Speaker 3: joint with the friends sitting around. I know that guy.
- 53:59Speaker 3: I'm about going Reddit and blastest blast at motherfucker.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Correct. No, this is a curse. This to me is
- 54:08Speaker 2: this is a real issue where I've run into this,
- 54:11Speaker 2: where it's a problem where you'll be like, I'll be
- 54:13Speaker 2: someone who's been to the restaurant multiple times, but there's
- 54:16Speaker 2: no clear direction. And I know that you're not supposed
- 54:18Speaker 2: to bust your own tables, and so I know to
- 54:20Speaker 2: leave this stuff there, but my friend doesn't. Now, my
- 54:22Speaker 2: friend thinks I'm a bad person, and there's no proof. Yea,
- 54:26Speaker 2: there's no. I can't prove to them that I'm not
- 54:28Speaker 2: just lazy because I do clear my table when necessary.
- 54:32Speaker 2: Of course, there should be signs.
- 54:34Speaker 3: I think the rule is Trey. I could be wrong
- 54:37Speaker 3: about this, but I think the rule is Trey and
- 54:39Speaker 3: swing indoor trash can because Chipotle only has those little
- 54:42Speaker 3: circle trash cans. So that means that somebody else is
- 54:44Speaker 3: going to handle this.
- 54:46Speaker 2: No, Chipotle, you handle it yourself. You kidding me? So
- 54:50Speaker 2: Chipotle the problem is they just have a horrible garbage can. Yeah,
- 54:53Speaker 2: those things. They're asking for.
- 54:55Speaker 3: Food to be everywhere, Yeah, right next to the forks.
- 54:58Speaker 2: I guess it's because they don't want to throw away.
- 55:00Speaker 2: They are trying to keep you from throwing away the basket.
- 55:02Speaker 3: That's what it is.
- 55:03Speaker 2: But sorry, I don't I guess that's just the cost
- 55:06Speaker 2: of doing business. Sometimes the basket gets thrown away.
- 55:09Speaker 3: I didn't realize that you bush your own tables out.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Oh, yes, you do.
- 55:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess you would. Yeah, I'm trying to think
- 55:14Speaker 3: of place your own table out of McDonald's and Burricy.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, there's a I think maybe unless I think
- 55:21Speaker 2: it should just entirely be bust your own tables unless
- 55:25Speaker 2: there's a waiter involved. Yeah, because this weird gray area
- 55:29Speaker 2: leads to employees hating you, yeah, or your friends thinking
- 55:32Speaker 2: you're a slob.
- 55:32Speaker 3: But if there's a waiter involved, slide that tray off
- 55:35Speaker 3: like a cat, make.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Them clean it off the floor. Yeah. All right, well
- 55:41Speaker 2: you got two out of three. I love it. Not
- 55:43Speaker 2: too bad. Yeah, you've I feel like you've kind of
- 55:46Speaker 2: learned to balance this game. All right, let's I want
- 55:49Speaker 2: to play another game with you. This is a little
- 55:51Speaker 2: bit faster. It's called invite lists. I'm going to start
- 55:55Speaker 2: naming a list of celebrities. You'll tell me if they're
- 55:57Speaker 2: invited or not invited to your party, all right, and
- 56:00Speaker 2: you only get to name, You only get to pick ten.
- 56:02Speaker 2: So once you've got ten, that's the party.
- 56:04Speaker 3: And I'm going away for three weeks and you're coming
- 56:06Speaker 3: away for three weeks.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Who's coming to your three weeks going away? Farty? Okay?
- 56:12Speaker 2: Margaret Qually?
- 56:13Speaker 3: Who is that?
- 56:15Speaker 2: She's uh did you see the substance?
- 56:19Speaker 1: Uh?
- 56:19Speaker 3: Oh oh, yes, she can come. Okay, Yeah, I like her.
- 56:22Speaker 3: Lucy Lou, Yeah, Lucy Lou's coming.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Angels Lauren Sanchez.
- 56:27Speaker 3: Laurence Sanchez from CACOP thirteen News. Yes, Laura Sanchez is coming.
- 56:32Speaker 3: Oh my god. I had a huge crust. She used
- 56:34Speaker 3: to wear the low rise boot cut jeans when I
- 56:36Speaker 3: was in middle school.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Wait, is that Jeff Bezos's wife?
- 56:39Speaker 1: She is now?
- 56:40Speaker 2: She started that Wow, she was that local of news.
- 56:43Speaker 2: She was local.
- 56:44Speaker 3: She was on UPN. You watched you'd watch the UPN
- 56:47Speaker 3: lineup half and half one on one all of us,
- 56:50Speaker 3: you know, all the Moesha, the Parkers. She would be
- 56:54Speaker 3: and girlfriends and then Casey Op News and Lauren Chance,
- 56:57Speaker 3: Laurence Sanchez comes, sashey and out there and yes, absolutely
- 57:01Speaker 3: she's invited to the party. Come on now, she got
- 57:04Speaker 3: to come, right, She broke nine to eleven to me.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Ryan Seacrest, that's my man. He got to come. You
- 57:14Speaker 3: are I love Ryan Seacrest.
- 57:16Speaker 2: Jessica Simpson, Jessica Sipton got to come.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Jeslica Sipson got to come to the party. I can
- 57:23Speaker 3: let my head down, I can say anything crazy.

- 57:32Speaker 3: Absolutely, don't get come.
- 57:32Speaker 2: She's so talented, you are You're just Bernie Sanders.

- 57:47Speaker 2: righting that time, all right, Sarah McLaughlin.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Nah, she's gonna bring sad energy with the dolls. Benson
- 57:53Speaker 3: Boone business cool, but no, I'm cool on business right.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Denzel Washington, my man, don't got to gont got to go.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Sean Pennon, Yeah, I'm saying yeah, he got to come
- 58:06Speaker 2: to Tom York who is that the singer for Radiohead?
- 58:12Speaker 3: Uh? Sh Radiohead, but I'm gonna skip Tom York's invite.
- 58:15Speaker 2: Lost in the mail Morgan Morgan Freeman.
- 58:18Speaker 3: Somebody told me last night that he met Morgan Freeman
- 58:20Speaker 3: and Morgan Freeman was a dictom. So Morgan Freeman cannot go.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Wow, that's a shame.
- 58:25Speaker 3: Yeah, rfk, No, Cheryl can come.
- 58:31Speaker 2: No, shit, can't. Jason Momoa dayson.
- 58:35Speaker 3: More school as hell? He can go, right, that's oh no,
- 58:40Speaker 3: let's take some people off.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Nope, that's the part.
- 58:43Speaker 4: I also just have to note that more people on
- 58:46Speaker 4: the list than not on the list.
- 58:48Speaker 2: More people on the list than not on list.
- 58:50Speaker 4: What do you mean meaning meaning we went through more people?
- 58:52Speaker 4: We went We didn't go through that many people that
- 58:54Speaker 4: he said no to.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Oh interesting, Yeah, how many people are left on your list?
- 58:58Speaker 2: The list is endless?
- 59:00Speaker 3: Okay, all right? Any basketball players on there?
- 59:03Speaker 2: Yeah, there are all sorts of people I like. I've
- 59:05Speaker 2: been kind of compiling a list of celebrity names for
- 59:07Speaker 2: the last six years, essentially just adding people as I
- 59:10Speaker 2: remember them. Lucy Lou I would assume, I will say
- 59:14Speaker 2: they are probably basketball players that are from when I
- 59:16Speaker 2: was in middle school, people that when I was watching
- 59:18Speaker 2: basketb Yeah, they could come, But who was on the list?
- 59:24Speaker 2: All right?
- 59:24Speaker 4: We have Margaret Qually, Lucy Lou, Lauren Sanchez, Ryan Seacrest,
- 59:29Speaker 4: Jessica Simpson, Doci, Bernie Sanders, Denzel Washington, Sean Penn, and
- 59:36Speaker 4: Jason Momoa.
- 59:37Speaker 2: You gotta be a little more discerning.
- 59:38Speaker 3: I gotta be a lot of a little move. You
- 59:40Speaker 3: got to have a little bit more of a diverse list.
- 59:42Speaker 3: What the hell is this? People are gonna be like,
- 59:44Speaker 3: you gotta jump party because I want all those people there,
- 59:47Speaker 3: but also just Docie and Denzel and ow two black
- 59:49Speaker 3: people come to my party.
- 59:50Speaker 2: You said no to Morgan Freeman, he can't come.
- 59:53Speaker 3: Charles Barkley on that list somewhere, I'm like, he probably is.
- 59:56Speaker 2: I bet Charles Barkley's definitely on those list. That's a
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: sweet spot of NBA for me.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Margaret Quality, I gotta be like, I might have to
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: take more margat quality off because I really don't know
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: who that is.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Like that right, she's a looker, She's gorgeous.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: I would love to be like Margaret listener, you can't
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: come to the party, but would you like to go
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: out and give me a list of your eggs?
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Well, it'll be an interesting party. Nonetheless, Well, let's answer
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: a listener question. People are writing into I said, no
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: gifts at gmail dot com begging for answers. Okay, this
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: is Bridger, Please, I need your help. Doesn't address you,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: which I find unfortunately. Whatever. Okay says I want to
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: get a gift for someone I admire, but I'm afraid
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: to be inappropriate. I will be abroad for my last
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: year of college, so I'd like to get my favorite
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: professor something before I leave, to tell her how much
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: I appreciate her mentorship. She teaches classics, dresses impeccably, and
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: is into trap music. She loves an air Mes scarf,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: but I don't really have an air Mes budget. You
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: have to have been in this situation before and must
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: know what I'm up against. I have no doubt in
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: my mind that you'll come up with something really good.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: This is no, I'm not. Perhaps your very agreeable guest
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: can wait in as well. I'll be awaiting your reply.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Thank you for both your time and discernment on this
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: important matter. And that's from Tabitha. Okay, so Tabitha's professor,

- 1:01:21Speaker 2: all we know about this professors they teach the classics,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: dressed nicely, and they're into trap music. What do we
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: get this person. I've never purchased a professor a gift
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: in college long enough, I stayed in college too long.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: And still, obviously you don't need to buy them a book. No.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: I imagine that this college professor has all sorts of
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: books and then but this person doesn't have the money
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: for this this Uh.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe so maybe just like I don't know t
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: I's got a new album coming out, but I mean
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: the fathers of trap music.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: I T I C gift car t I C d Well.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: I mean maybe the professor's you know, a little bit

- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that could be.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: That could be true, but it is TI even putting
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: out CDs is the big question.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: I think at that point, you just getting insomnia cookies.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Oh I hate those cookies.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: Insomnia. I'm not talking about Crumble, talking about insomnia.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: They're okay. Crumble is not Crumbles disgusting. Yeah, Trumbles one
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: of the worst.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: Foods you can And I am a person who loves
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: a sweet me too, and Crumble is not for me.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I think that Crumble has set cookies back. Yeah, the company,
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: I'm actively trying to take them out. Insomnia is a
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: last minute I mean it's like a last resort. Okay,
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: you know it's like nobody else is open. I'll buy
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: the How do you feel about this?
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: A fresh cinnebun? Oh interesting cennebon gift cards? So you
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: can get one that's fresh. So the producer, the producer,
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: the professor can get one that's fresh.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: And uh, I mean, does the professor have to go
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: to the airport where you get them? All on? These
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: go to the mall? But you say cinabun sinabun? Yeah,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: I do too, but apparently it's cinnabon.

- 1:03:12Speaker 2: There's no way, are you kidding me?
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: Cinnabon.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Cinnabon makes more sense because it rhymes of cinnamon.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm calling it a cinemon.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: But I think that's a nice idea. A little trip
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: to the mall for the professor. Yeah, they can get
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: some shopping. They can buy their own right right, Maybe

- 1:03:41Speaker 3: let's talking about me?
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I don't think there's another genre of music called trap music,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: the British trap music, a curse trap music from the fifties. Yeah,
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: get the cinnabun thing. That's a nice No one's expecting
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: that at this point.

- 1:04:02Speaker 3: cinebun for a long time.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Right, it's a throwback. I had a cinema a minute
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: time to treat myself. No one goes out of their
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: way to buy themselves a cinebon, so if you're forced to,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: I think that's very nice. Well, we answered the question perfectly.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Enjoy the last year of college or whatever. Tabitham, you
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: played the game pretty well. Thank you. I've got my
