- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken
- 0:04Coop podcast. My name is Kim Johnson and I am
- 0:07a mastermindset coach, creative strategist, and also happen to
- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30I was reading an article that Daymond John wrote in Success
- 0:34magazine and he talks about how so many people are terrified of
- 0:42AI and saying what it's going to do and how it's going to ruin
- 0:47humanity in so many ways. And I have to tell you that is
- 0:51not my experience at all. I, I believe that it's going to
- 0:57give humans more time. I believe that what it's going
- 1:00to do is give us the opportunity to be able to connect even more
- 1:07with each other because people are going to want to connect
- 1:10more with each other based on the fact that they might not
- 1:14want to interact with the bots. But the AI portion of it behind
- 1:18the scenes becomes in so incredibly handy.
- 1:21So I have so many customers, clients that have things they
- 1:26want to do, but they struggle with the amount of time they
- 1:29have to get things done. I mean, it's just a fact of
- 1:32life, myself included. I, I could do so much more if in
- 1:37fact, I had the ability to have somebody with me all the time
- 1:41that could help me. I mean, it's just a reality.
- 1:44I have notes upon notes upon notes for another book that I
- 1:47want to write. And if I had somebody that could
- 1:51organize them all and then give them back to me, I could write
- 1:54another book. And I wouldn't use AII don't use
- 1:57AI to write my books. I use it just to clean up my
- 2:00poor, you know, line grammar, things like that, things that I
- 2:04have to pick up. I punctuation is not my friend,
- 2:07and so I need structural stuff like that.
- 2:10But in any event, I could, I could be working on something
- 2:13like that. But the truth is I'm not because
- 2:16of the fact that it is very challenging and time wise deal,
- 2:21you know, working with clients, dealing with my schedule and
- 2:23everything else that I have going on here, it it can become
- 2:27too much. So in my opinion, where AI is
- 2:30going to be the most like, you know, helpful to all of us is
- 2:35going to be in those kind of things.
- 2:37And we shouldn't be afraid of it.
- 2:38We should try to figure out how to embrace it and be on the
- 2:40cutting edge of what's happening and and understand it, which is
- 2:44why I'm taking a class so I can teach my clients how to use it
- 2:48in a more thoughtful way without getting all uncomfortable with
- 2:52it and everything else. Now, that being said, what is
- 2:56the most important thing? And he pointed it out in the
- 2:59article. If he hadn't said it, I would
- 3:00have been saying it right after I read it.
- 3:02It's human connection. Ironically, the thing that's
- 3:06crazy about what we're all witnessing, and we all can see
- 3:09it online, is that the more AI things you see, the more you
- 3:12want real. And you sit there and go, oh,
- 3:14that video is not real. That that that's not real.
- 3:17That's not a real post. Nothing like that happens.
- 3:20And I see it a lot in all the farming, gardening stuff because
- 3:24someone will post something up that's all about like how to and
- 3:28how to think, like how to make these planters out of concrete.
- 3:33This seems to be a new wave that's going on.
- 3:35And when you like make a planter out of concrete, it is not easy,
- 3:38OK? Especially when you're using an
- 3:40alternative to add in to the concrete to make it lightweight
- 3:44and whatnot. It it's just not easy and they
- 3:47make it look so freaking simple the way they do it.
- 3:50And it's not that simple. Trust me, I've tried it and it's
- 3:54not that simple and it's not and you're not like it's just not
- 3:57popping out so easy and all these things.
- 4:00No, it does not work that way. I saw a girl the other day who
- 4:04soaked a towel in concrete and then put it over a bucket and
- 4:07then it like looked like this gorgeous piece of artwork.
- 4:10And I have tried that. Trust me, it does not show up
- 4:15like that with the perfect curves and everything else.
- 4:18No, no, no, no, no, no. So it pisses people off and then
- 4:22they want more of the real stuff.
- 4:25They want to see what is actually going on.
- 4:28And I love that because I want to show what's actually going
- 4:32on. Like while I'm recording this to
- 4:33you with you, you know, the crows are screaming at me
- 4:36because I haven't gotten to the bird feeder yet and I've got the
- 4:39chicken coop open, but I needed to water the roses that are
- 4:44coming up along the edge of the coop because I'm trying to grow
- 4:48a rose wall all along the girls chicken run and they need water
- 4:54every day. Like there's no question about
- 4:56it. In this kind of a drought, they
- 4:57need water every single day. And so I'm out here watering.
- 5:01That's a reality. You hear water in the
- 5:03background. I don't want you to think I'm
- 5:05not doing anything. I want you to know I'm doing the
- 5:08things I I use my net time very very well, meaning I.
- 5:12I can't. Keep it all busy while I'm doing
- 5:14other things, not while I'm working with my clients, but
- 5:18anything else. All the little chores.
- 5:20I listen to books while I'm gardening.
- 5:22I can pull weeds. You know it in, in the fast,
- 5:27fast, fast because I have the right tools.
- 5:29I try everything that I can to to increase these things.
- 5:33And AI is going to help me in some of my stuff and I'm not
- 5:36going to be afraid of it. I'm just going to embrace it and
- 5:39I tell you, The thing is, be real.
- 5:42Always use human connection. We are always going to want the
- 5:45real human connection because that's what matters to us as
- 5:48human beings. Connection because nothing
- 5:51matters more than when someone says does something kind.
- 5:54So remember human connection first.
- 5:57All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 6:01will see you tomorrow. Bye.
