RUDE BOY w/ Paul Hanley
This week, we talk to the legendary UK author & musician Paul Hanley (The Fall, House of All & ‘Leave The Capital’). He picked the divisive Clash film ‘Rude Boy’ to discuss at length. Along the way, we discuss lead ‘actor’ Ray Gange’s perfect aloofness and failure as a roadie, the notion of punk rock musicians as actors, The Clash’s repudiation of the film, and whether or not The Fall’s Mark E. Smith gave The Clash a pass.
On a side note…the original recording of this conversation was corrupted, so we had to use the backup. We apologize for any crunchiness, but maybe you could think of this…
