- 0:10Speaker 1: to do uh more movie stuff, movie topics if there's
- 0:15Speaker 1: not a big movie because Spider Man came out two
- 0:18Speaker 1: weeks ago, the other big releases was like Man stall
- 0:21Speaker 1: us out. We're gonna let Spider Man have its uh
- 0:24Speaker 1: have its day. It's brand new day. So me and
- 0:29Speaker 1: Tony gonna talk about movie news. All right, there's a
- 0:32Speaker 1: lot of new movie news talking about we missed this.
- 0:35Speaker 1: This happened the weak of Spider Man, but we didn't
- 0:37Speaker 1: cover it. Then you got the movie the comedy from that.
- 0:41Speaker 1: We was talking off camerabout the Last Good Time. It
- 0:43Speaker 1: was a comedy. So I asked Tony, what was the
- 0:44Speaker 1: funny movie ninety four?
- 0:46Speaker 2: I had. I had random Year because comedies.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Used to be so oh, you're Mike Tone just just
- 0:54Speaker 1: chopping it up. So we was talking.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I was just like, there used to be several big
- 1:00Speaker 2: comedies every year when it came to the highest grossing
- 1:03Speaker 2: movies of the year, and I just I told him
- 1:05Speaker 2: just pick a random year back in the day. And
- 1:08Speaker 2: he picked ninety four and in the top twenty highest
- 1:12Speaker 2: grossing movies of the year. There are six comedies in there.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Grumpy Old Man, hang A'sventur Pet Detective.
- 1:20Speaker 1: That's the first one.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Now I'm going, I'm going from twenty up.
- 1:23Speaker 1: So I mean it's the first.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yes, oh yeah, yeah, my bad A'sventur, Missus Doutfire mask.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Uh wait, miss Doutfire came out in ninety three, but
- 1:38Speaker 2: it's still slit up in this ninety four list. Grumpy
- 1:41Speaker 2: Old Man came out in ninety three too. Hold on,
- 1:43Speaker 2: let me do in year releases, Hold on.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I pressure cord.
- 1:48Speaker 2: It's not recording. Let's see one, two, three, four.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Oh shoot, I meant to tell y'all. Got the next clip?
- 2:02Speaker 2: Ready?
- 2:04Speaker 1: The clip A little same?
- 2:05Speaker 2: Okay? So has grow some comedies in ninety four, The
- 2:10Speaker 2: Naked Gun, thirty three and the third.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I love that movie, The Nigga Gun Leslie Nielsen Man.
- 2:18Speaker 1: There's so many funny clips from that serious clips. That
- 2:22Speaker 1: money thing when he was give me twenty dollars, I
- 2:25Speaker 1: might remember it. Then the dude asked him for the
- 2:27Speaker 1: twenty day. What should tell you?
- 2:29Speaker 2: Maybe this is a sweeten the deal. I don't know
- 2:34Speaker 2: then why you're asking me why should I tell you? Man?
- 2:39Speaker 2: He bought it and he ain't it back genius.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's funny because lady Neilson plays it straight.
- 2:45Speaker 2: That's that's the.
- 2:46Speaker 1: That's yo, what you like. You don't like the already
- 2:48Speaker 1: forced comedy he was Lessie Nielsen is never trying to
- 2:51Speaker 1: be funny, and that's why it is uh drebbing Drevin.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yeah, Frank Dribbon Drevin.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Is dead serious about the case. Man, He's not playing around.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You see that clip where he pulled up and he
- 3:04Speaker 2: parked but the air bag went off and then he
- 3:06Speaker 2: got the car with the car was still in drive,
- 3:08Speaker 2: so it was driving crazy. He was like he started
- 3:11Speaker 2: shooting at the car. Somebody was just driving wild. He's
- 3:14Speaker 2: like the kind a piece together. It was his czer
- 3:21Speaker 2: because he was like, did y'all get the license place
- 3:23Speaker 2: in that car? Damn it? Damn anyway.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So Petron is just the same link, y'all. I just
- 3:30Speaker 1: kept the same link. I ain't felt like sending a
- 3:31Speaker 1: new link. We recording it like the new link. We
- 3:34Speaker 1: already was watching it, y'all, which is just relaxed. It's
- 3:37Speaker 1: the same link. But once I know what I'm doing
- 3:40Speaker 1: Naked Gun thirty Yeah.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Full Weddings in the Funeral, Ace Material, the Mask, Dumb
- 3:50Speaker 2: and Dumber, the Flintstones, the Santa Claus.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Oh, dang, And that wouldn't be the case. It is
- 3:57Speaker 1: ninety four, It's been some years. It would probably be
- 4:00Speaker 1: the last five years.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Let's look at it.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You ain't probably had five comedies in the top ten
- 4:05Speaker 1: of the box office in the last five years. Listen,
- 4:08Speaker 1: maybe longer.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Let's look at twenty twenty five, real quick, bad Joe.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I can't even tell you what comedies came out that year.
- 4:15Speaker 1: This is nerdy and we're talking about straight theaters, straight theater,
- 4:19Speaker 1: straight comedy movie.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Last year. Damn, I'm just going through. Is this one?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Pull on and make sure in year release? Okay, still
- 4:34Speaker 2: looking yeah, still Freaky or.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Friday, Freaky Friday, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. And uh,
- 4:44Speaker 1: that was last year.
- 4:45Speaker 2: That was last year. This is the twenty third. Dang,
- 4:49Speaker 2: it's twenty three on the highest grosses. What are the
- 4:51Speaker 2: gross It made ninety four million domestically one hundred and
- 4:56Speaker 2: fifty three million worldwide.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But you also think about we didn't have this many
- 5:02Speaker 1: sequels nor superhero movies in the like in ninety four,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you wouldn't have this many superhero movies.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and then and then and then the comedies that
- 5:14Speaker 2: named it wasn't that many sequels.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's big.
- 5:17Speaker 2: If you do a non sequel comedy last year.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Oh god, original comedy is a streaming movie. Now, if
- 5:25Speaker 1: it's an original comedy, it's more than likely gonna be
- 5:27Speaker 1: a streaming streaming.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Movie one of them days. That's probably the only one
- 5:31Speaker 2: one of them days. Is the highest grossing original comedy.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And what did it gross?
- 5:37Speaker 2: It made fifty million domestically, one point eight internationally fifty one.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Point eight million. So East of them can say they
- 5:46Speaker 1: have the number one original comedy in theaters last year.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. Wow, because the Naked Gun is they
- 5:54Speaker 2: redid that?
- 5:55Speaker 1: But sure that was the sequel. Yeah wow. On the low,
- 6:01Speaker 1: Tony just sounds fine to me. That's hilarious. Wait what
- 6:05Speaker 1: did somebody comment to that? Tony just sound fine to.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Me, Brandon?
- 6:12Speaker 1: All right, So here's the first thing we want to
- 6:14Speaker 1: talk about on the movie tip David Johns is the
- 6:17Speaker 1: Black Panther. Yes, caused quite the hell of blue tone.
- 6:21Speaker 1: What are your thoughts?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Well, for one, I like the fact that they cast
- 6:26Speaker 2: somebody that's not already big.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You do like that?
- 6:31Speaker 2: I do like that.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Oh A lot of people don't like that.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I like it because I feel like it just gives
- 6:37Speaker 2: him more room to establish himself as a Black Panther
- 6:41Speaker 2: where we're not comparing him other performances and other works.
- 6:46Speaker 2: He's coming there yet. Of course he has stuff on
- 6:48Speaker 2: his resume, but it's like Chadwick Boseman. He had other
- 6:52Speaker 2: stuff on his resume when he was cast as Black Panther,
- 6:54Speaker 2: but it wasn't like Major forty two and then Third
- 7:03Speaker 2: Good Marshall. He might even did Third Good after the
- 7:06Speaker 2: Black Panther. I can't remember.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Remember chad was early career, he was he was always
- 7:10Speaker 1: playing somebody else though, BIOI.
- 7:13Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. And so Black Panther is
- 7:16Speaker 2: something that he can come into his own with. And
- 7:19Speaker 2: I feel like with David Johnson, like a lot of
- 7:21Speaker 2: people don't know who he is, a lot of people
- 7:23Speaker 2: haven't even seen him, not one movie that he's been.
- 7:26Speaker 1: In because he's when The Long Walk, The Long Walk?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Did you see that?
- 7:31Speaker 1: I ain't see it. I wanted to watch before today,
- 7:33Speaker 1: but I didn't get you see Alien Romulus. I've only
- 7:36Speaker 1: seen him in Industry. He's great in Industry, Okay, I
- 7:39Speaker 1: haven't seen that. Oh yeah, he's fantastic, Okay, okay, But
- 7:43Speaker 1: that's why I didn't. I was like, I already knew
- 7:46Speaker 1: I liked him, and Industry has a really good cast
- 7:50Speaker 1: and he's he's he's good. He holds his own. I
- 7:54Speaker 1: wouldn't say he holds his own. He does his thing.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch both of those though, before The Black Panthers.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Alien Romulus was the first time I've seen him, and
- 8:01Speaker 2: he was good. Yes, he was like the best part
- 8:04Speaker 2: of the film to me. And I like, I'm a
- 8:05Speaker 2: fan of the franchise, but they be taking ls franchise. Yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 2: they be like Prometheus is good, and the Alien Covenant
- 8:14Speaker 2: was just like what y'all trying to do? And the
- 8:16Speaker 2: Alien Three sucked, and the Alien Resurrections just like and
- 8:19Speaker 2: then the Alien Predator movies like what y'all doing?
- 8:22Speaker 1: And that's your people, that's your favorite movie?
- 8:25Speaker 2: The first two Alien movies.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yeah, cree with a cry. But see, once you go
- 8:28Speaker 1: sequel SEQ with McGee man, you you run out of
- 8:31Speaker 1: the source material. A lot of times you just you
- 8:34Speaker 1: just like, what else can we do with in the franchise? Yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 1: so you don't always hit Predator too. They made a
- 8:39Speaker 1: lot of Predator movies. The last one was good. You said, yes, Yeah, it.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Was like I feel like franchises can work. They just
- 8:48Speaker 2: gotta do it right. Man. You don't have to be
- 8:50Speaker 2: raggedy in the franchise game. You can have a good friend,
- 8:53Speaker 2: like Mission Impossible. Man, there's not a Mission Impossible that sucks.
- 8:57Speaker 1: No, I like something more than the others. Sure, but
- 9:00Speaker 1: they're all They're solid movies. If anytime I went to
- 9:04Speaker 1: the theaters Mission Possible, I've never been like, man, what
- 9:06Speaker 1: the hell? I don't like? I don't like the AI
- 9:10Speaker 1: and you had the other guy was already good. Just
- 9:12Speaker 1: give it all to him. I don't want a faceless villain. Man.
- 9:17Speaker 1: The other guy was good, but his whole thing is
- 9:19Speaker 1: to get to the AI is the villain in my life.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't want it. Ain't no face to it, ain't
- 9:26Speaker 1: know you gotta have a face.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Even though Terminator is technically AI, but he got a
- 9:32Speaker 2: face to that skeleton with the red eyes coming.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I need the alien person l tron Tron. He's AI,
- 9:39Speaker 1: but he's a face. He can physically harm you. He
- 9:43Speaker 1: can pull your neck house and people don't like the
- 9:48Speaker 1: Ultron movie. I love Old Tron.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I didn't love.
- 9:52Speaker 1: The movie, but I liked it. But I love James
- 9:55Speaker 1: Spader's voice. He's great, so he really liked him. He's
- 9:59Speaker 1: so good at Ultron, he's good at Robert California in
- 10:03Speaker 1: the office.
- 10:04Speaker 2: He just has a good voice. Since the eighties.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, he's great. I watched a Blacklist.
- 10:12Speaker 1: It was fantastic. I was like, and I love me
- 10:14Speaker 1: a procedural show.
- 10:15Speaker 2: He was great in the Boston Legal.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I ain't watching.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Him and William Shadder had a great chemistry. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:24Speaker 2: it was fine.
- 10:25Speaker 1: But people wanted Damnson Idris. I wanted it too.
- 10:30Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, I don't think, not that it
- 10:33Speaker 2: wasn't him.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, cool, but see I don't think
- 10:37Speaker 1: I don't I like Damnson right, But I once I
- 10:41Speaker 1: saw the Children of Blood and Bone casting months ago,
- 10:44Speaker 1: was like, he not gonna be the background. That's too
- 10:46Speaker 1: close to each other. I don't imagine he would want
- 10:50Speaker 1: to be into fictional African country movies back to back
- 10:57Speaker 1: like that. And they're saying girl.
- 10:59Speaker 2: That girl did it. The girl that's in the Woman
- 11:02Speaker 2: King is in the Blood and Bone Joint.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I see. I think that's different though. I think Dampson's
- 11:07Speaker 1: gonna have access to more roles. She you're talking about
- 11:10Speaker 1: Lahawna Lynch?
- 11:11Speaker 2: No, was her too?
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's two of them.
- 11:14Speaker 2: It's the it's the short lead. Who was Woman King? No,
- 11:17Speaker 2: not that one, the main the main girl, not Davis,
- 11:21Speaker 2: not Lashawanna Lynch.
- 11:22Speaker 1: But the next girl, the main girl she's in.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Uh, she's also in the Blood and Bone Joint.
- 11:30Speaker 1: She's her too. So she's the main character in the
- 11:34Speaker 1: Button Bone.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yeah, so she bagged it back to But see, I.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Think Damnson, I think Damnson this is he ain't told
- 11:41Speaker 1: me this, He ain't text me in a minute forever.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I think Damnson is one of the people who's vying
- 11:47Speaker 1: for the next big black movie star. And I think
- 11:52Speaker 1: he's probably competing right now only with Michael B.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Jordan Michael Michael B.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Jordans. I was thinking about this on my talk today
- 12:01Speaker 1: as Sidney Poitier was phasing out because he was the
- 12:04Speaker 1: black guy actually probably him and James Earl Jones was like,
- 12:08Speaker 1: we are the premier roles. Probably Sidney was the guy
- 12:11Speaker 1: sure after him, it was like Denzel and Denzel's staying
- 12:15Speaker 1: power has been a long time, but Denzel is seventy
- 12:19Speaker 1: years old right now. So I feel like it was
- 12:22Speaker 1: Michael B. Jordan, it was Jonathan Major's and it was
- 12:27Speaker 1: Damson who were like Vine. So your roles, what you
- 12:31Speaker 1: pick and how good those things are is going to
- 12:35Speaker 1: determine whether people think you are the guy. And I
- 12:38Speaker 1: think Michael B. Jordan with that Sinners, that was just
- 12:43Speaker 1: Sinners plus the Oscar Win. Right. I feel like Damson
- 12:48Speaker 1: Dampson was good in F one. He was really good
- 12:51Speaker 1: opposite of Brad. So I feel like Black Panther is good.
- 12:55Speaker 1: But I feel like people they take you down or
- 12:59Speaker 1: not if you're acting. If you're in a superhero movie,
- 13:04Speaker 1: that's that's that's Marvel. Yeah, because it's like Christian Bell
- 13:06Speaker 1: and Batman, like that Batman gonna sell even though I
- 13:09Speaker 1: think Christian Bell did a great job in Batman, They're
- 13:11Speaker 1: not gonna credit you personally, no, But Children of Blood
- 13:14Speaker 1: and Bone, if you carry what is to most people,
- 13:18Speaker 1: most people I don't imagine didn't read the book. Most
- 13:20Speaker 1: people I don't know what's going on. Yeah, I don't.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Know what this movie is. I don't know what's happening
- 13:25Speaker 2: the children, or the blood or the bone. I don't
- 13:28Speaker 2: know the heath of globin. I don't know the platelets.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I don't know the calcium and the bones. I don't
- 13:34Speaker 2: know if it's our stealsis arthritis. I don't know nothing
- 13:37Speaker 2: about nothing. I don't know if it's chicken bones, t bone, steaks.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I don't know if it's bone. I don't know if
- 13:42Speaker 2: it's busy, lazy, crazy, you know what I'm saying. I
- 13:46Speaker 2: don't know if it's fly.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Dog.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know dog.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I don't know millball.
- 13:53Speaker 2: It could be all kinds, could be anything.
- 13:55Speaker 1: We're not against rap. We're not against rappers, but we
- 13:58Speaker 1: are against those thugs.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm walking into right most.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I don't think what you will do. But I saw
- 14:04Speaker 1: black people.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I saw black magic. Africa's man.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I said, read, dread.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Signed up, sign me up.
- 14:13Speaker 1: She's the only one with this power.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Click, that's it. I'm in else.
- 14:17Speaker 1: But I saw I saw Damnson. Uh Damnson is Viola Davis?
- 14:22Speaker 1: It yes, La Davis. When they double dipping man, they
- 14:29Speaker 1: went from women came up. See woman came on your story,
- 14:32Speaker 1: Jenna Price, what directors? Come on, I'm not guy, Come on,
- 14:39Speaker 1: I be I'm not a director, but you I'm gonna
- 14:41Speaker 1: cast that nigga. I saw that. Christmin Nolan has the
- 14:45Speaker 1: same people. Boy, let me make movie. See if Tony
- 14:47Speaker 1: to make.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Her selm Most star directors, that Scorsese, everybody you can
- 14:56Speaker 3: think of that's a that's a director, that's just now
- 14:59Speaker 3: their journeyman director.
- 15:00Speaker 2: They just be directed whatever. Yeah, if it's a star director.
- 15:05Speaker 1: They go back to the well come Tarantino, he he
- 15:09Speaker 1: done had Michael Michael Mason.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And Sam Jackson is his guy.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Sam Jackson's been in, been in the most Man, he
- 15:19Speaker 1: been in Tough.
- 15:20Speaker 2: He's been in Jackie Brown, Post Fiction, Glorious Bastards, the Hateful.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Y Jangle Chain. That's his guy.
- 15:27Speaker 2: He keep coming back to Sam.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Jacks, Sam Jackson, Nigga Tarantino want to Yeah. They'd be like,
- 15:32Speaker 1: I say, I.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Like the way you say niggas so hard, this is
- 15:35Speaker 2: so hard.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And then Martin Scorsese, de Niro and the cap and Caprio,
- 15:43Speaker 2: and then he had them both let me get you both.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and and and uh, Christopher Nolan. He doesn't had
- 15:50Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway. And for Michael Kaine and Michael Kaine has
- 15:53Speaker 1: been in like age.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Michael Kaine is his guy.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Michael Killy Killian Murphys is second guy. Because Michael kan
- 16:01Speaker 1: was in everything, but he was in all Batman.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Surprise, wasn't in this latest joint.
- 16:07Speaker 1: And honesty he should have been the butler and Marion.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Should have been something. Just give Michael Kane and then
- 16:13Speaker 2: somehow just hadn't drowned in the Trojan Horse something, maybe
- 16:17Speaker 2: he could be Calypso, yeah, he delivered his flowers.
- 16:24Speaker 1: But yeah, I didn't have People were like yo. We
- 16:26Speaker 1: was talking about this on Instagram. Peoples like, Damnson can't
- 16:29Speaker 1: sell no, I mean not Damnson. David can't sell no tickets.
- 16:32Speaker 1: We both said the same thing. I don't think you
- 16:34Speaker 1: you don't have to sell tickets. And Ryan Cougler is
- 16:39Speaker 1: a director selling ticket for his life. Now he is
- 16:44Speaker 1: an our tour pulling up on Ryan Coogler. Ryan Cougler,
- 16:48Speaker 1: if he don't have a stocking Imax, they should give
- 16:52Speaker 1: it to him because he's single handedly sold so many
- 16:56Speaker 1: IMAX tickets. By calmly explaining just how sure I was like.
- 17:02Speaker 2: My folks didn't give a damn about Imax.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Right, Cooper make that video?
- 17:07Speaker 2: It was like, man, what kind of show start? I
- 17:09Speaker 2: don't give about no Max? I Max?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Who was that?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Max?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Well? Misten?
- 17:15Speaker 2: I like Maxwell? First out, they give a damn about
- 17:20Speaker 2: I Max. Then Ryan Coogan was like all right, sure,
- 17:25Speaker 2: and we were just like hell yeah, hell yeah, cause
- 17:28Speaker 2: I love movies and I go to Imax and I'd
- 17:30Speaker 2: be like, let me get that Imax. I'm with the
- 17:31Speaker 2: premium visuals. I still didn't fully know.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I didn't either. It worked. I said, so you're telling
- 17:38Speaker 1: me I Max go up?
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I got you. I Max go up.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what you had to tell me because I
- 17:46Speaker 1: know what I Max is bigger than I thought. It was,
- 17:48Speaker 1: big white, big white, loud. All I care about saying,
- 17:52Speaker 1: hey y'all, I Max go up?
- 17:55Speaker 2: Yeah? I said, say what Ry Ryan the cooler he
- 17:59Speaker 2: put us on.
- 18:00Speaker 1: He put us on in the calmest way.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Now, when when when Christopher Nolan with the full Imax
- 18:07Speaker 2: we are we already know when, yes.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Because that it's gonna go up. You see, Agamemnon's the
- 18:12Speaker 1: whole thing, whole thing. You know, the cameras allowed Agamemnon.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You're gonna see his whole hat. Yeah, because it go up.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It goes up because they ain't go I think you
- 18:23Speaker 1: saw I saw the man. They still.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Turn around. This all so.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Bro in l A. It was crazy people was having
- 18:36Speaker 1: to go three am. I don't care about the full
- 18:38Speaker 1: thing that much. I can see regular movie. Get to
- 18:40Speaker 1: seven a man, watch and I gona be up. That's right,
- 18:45Speaker 1: Like I can't watch the movie at no. Seven man,
- 18:48Speaker 1: that's early up though I've been up for two hours.
- 18:52Speaker 1: But seven am, it's wrong with it. You can't eat
- 18:55Speaker 1: popcorn at seven that's weird. And I can't have no
- 18:59Speaker 1: movie without popcorn.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I give you that.
- 19:01Speaker 1: It's just wind.
- 19:02Speaker 2: When you watch a movie that early, you got your
- 19:05Speaker 2: whole day.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Now that part I like about that part. I do
- 19:09Speaker 1: like the Imax still sold out today, the good seats
- 19:13Speaker 1: they were still sold I'm like, bro, watch, I'm not
- 19:15Speaker 1: going to Universal City either. There's no Imax right right
- 19:19Speaker 1: right by my No.
- 19:20Speaker 2: No, you got to go to University.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I I'm not. Yeah, And it's the parking. And there's
- 19:27Speaker 1: two things. If it was far by, parking was good,
- 19:30Speaker 1: I go. If it was it was close, but bad parking.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I go parking and it's yeah, you're a Universal studio.
- 19:38Speaker 2: In the park and goofy oh, man, I'm they got
- 19:42Speaker 2: up in there. It's like the little cartoon I'm talked
- 19:46Speaker 2: over here wood it wouldna.
- 19:50Speaker 1: So, No, I think Black Panther is gonna be fine.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I am glad. Are you glad they recast the Black Panther?
- 19:55Speaker 1: Sure it was she took the mantle, which they do
- 19:57Speaker 1: say she did in the comics.
- 19:59Speaker 2: We needed to child Man, like, I get the respect,
- 20:03Speaker 2: you know, of losing Chadwick, because it's deeper than just
- 20:08Speaker 2: replacing him. But to childa has to live on within
- 20:11Speaker 2: the Marvel universe. Now, no actor is bigger than the IP.
- 20:15Speaker 1: And here's what I think people are not giving Ryan
- 20:18Speaker 1: Coogler credit for. To your point, Chadwick Boseman died like
- 20:24Speaker 1: in real life, he was in the script and Chadwick
- 20:28Speaker 1: also was a private person, So they are both grieving
- 20:33Speaker 1: Chadwick personally because they actually had a personal relationship. I didn't.
- 20:37Speaker 1: But there's no public funeral for Chadwick Boseman. So they basically,
- 20:43Speaker 1: within the Marvel cinematic universe make a Marvel movie, and
- 20:49Speaker 1: what amounts to a public funeral for Chadwick Boseman. I
- 20:55Speaker 1: feel like they did it. They did what is the impossible.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Given what they were given the hand that was deal Man,
- 21:03Speaker 2: fantastic movie. A lot of people be like, what do
- 21:07Speaker 2: you expect?
- 21:08Speaker 1: What could they do when they just not moving on? Like, oh,
- 21:11Speaker 1: let's just recast them Like Chadwick wasn't a real person
- 21:13Speaker 1: like bro. That's a very callous approach to somebody who was.
- 21:17Speaker 1: They spent years with him. Them movies, Them is a
- 21:20Speaker 1: year's long process if you consider how long from shooting
- 21:23Speaker 1: to prep I mean to post production and then the marketing.
- 21:29Speaker 1: That's their friend in real life. Y'all just wanted to
- 21:32Speaker 1: recast them. With anybody else to do that. There's no
- 21:35Speaker 1: other franchise where the person died while they were in
- 21:40Speaker 1: production or pre production for the movie and they were
- 21:43Speaker 1: recast like that. No other film franchise has ever had
- 21:46Speaker 1: to have that happened, ever, So they dealt a crazy hand.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I feel like they did it amazingly, And it's okay.
- 21:52Speaker 1: They didn't recast him in that movie. They had to
- 21:55Speaker 1: honor him, So they made a film about grief. I'll
- 21:58Speaker 1: never see it again, but has less to do with
- 22:01Speaker 1: them and more to do with My brother died when
- 22:03Speaker 1: that movie came out, So I can't go. Once Rianna
- 22:06Speaker 1: start singing, I'm big tears McGee, all four of us
- 22:09Speaker 1: me listening to Bustleman to let me up.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It was like, I feel like we was really at
- 22:16Speaker 2: the funeral Man.
- 22:17Speaker 1: We was in there. I went back, though I doubled it,
- 22:20Speaker 1: I couldn't do it.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I went back and I got more emotional the second viewer.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I was just like, because I was holding together the
- 22:27Speaker 2: first time that second time, man, I was just like,
- 22:35Speaker 2: it was just man.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So it was so much going. It was too much.
- 22:40Speaker 2: But I've always said that, but to child, it has.
- 22:44Speaker 1: To be recaped, and I always thought they would. I
- 22:47Speaker 1: just didn't think they would do it immediately. I feel
- 22:49Speaker 1: like they handled it with care. Yeah, and David. I
- 22:51Speaker 1: think it's gonna be in good hands with David John's.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I think his son raising up. David Johns looks younger
- 22:59Speaker 1: than he is. He's like thirty five. He looks young,
- 23:02Speaker 1: but I think like they age up toucsant to stamp. Yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I don't know how old how they'll do that, but
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'll be excited to see it. And I think black
- 23:13Speaker 1: Panther guaranteed to get a billion dollars.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Here's here's my thing, though, here's what I want for
- 23:18Speaker 2: Black Panther. I want good fight choreography less CGI. That's
- 23:24Speaker 2: all you say, because that's my only thing. On the
- 23:28Speaker 2: Black Panther franchise storyline, they always nail it. They always
- 23:33Speaker 2: nail it with cast ensemble. Like even they more was great.
- 23:37Speaker 1: It was fantastic, you know what I'm saying.
- 23:39Speaker 2: They had a good fight scene with a coyer on
- 23:42Speaker 2: the bridge or whatever. But then when you get to
- 23:47Speaker 2: the final battle, it's just gooy It's just gooy man.
- 23:52Speaker 2: And then the first one, yeah, Black Panther on Black
- 23:55Speaker 2: Panther fight it was gooey. It was I'm just like,
- 23:59Speaker 2: I want better fight for.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I agree, I agree. I got no calls with you there,
- 24:04Speaker 1: all right? Moving on, it's rumored Jamie Lawson, who played
- 24:12Speaker 1: oh her character's name in Centers Escaping Me.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Couchie Eating, she got a couchie ate in sentence, what's
- 24:19Speaker 2: her name? She got her hot coochie ate in the
- 24:24Speaker 2: summer time South Perle. She walked to the venue and
- 24:29Speaker 2: he ate that coucie. That's what her name is. Is
- 24:35Speaker 2: her name cheated on her husband, got her coochie ate.
- 24:39Speaker 2: She went out that night, cheated on her husband and died.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Her husband is at home, like, where's my wife at? Man?
- 24:46Speaker 2: Not only did she die that night horribly, she also
- 24:51Speaker 2: cheated on you playing and you will never know what happened.
- 24:55Speaker 2: All you know is my wife died. She ain't came back.
- 24:58Speaker 2: And this is I don't know. I don't know when
- 25:00Speaker 2: you're gonna get words that your wife died. This ain't
- 25:04Speaker 2: ain't no cnn, ain't gonna be nobody, Yo, you are
- 25:06Speaker 2: what happened at the juke joint? Nobody knew, just her
- 25:10Speaker 2: preacher for it. She just ain't coming home where my
- 25:12Speaker 2: wife goes? He did she run off with somebody where
- 25:15Speaker 2: she would have ran off because she got a cootch
- 25:18Speaker 2: egg and breach. Your boy might have wrote a song
- 25:20Speaker 2: about it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Oh, he was gonna write there so he might be
- 25:22Speaker 1: singing and not knowing about his wife.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yep, he like I love this song.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Got my coochie hate dude in the Missississippi. He in
- 25:31Speaker 1: some hot boxing husband like hot hot boxes my cut
- 25:36Speaker 1: number six on the on the set try and used to.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Give my lead wife hot box and sold it, and
- 25:43Speaker 2: so did he.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Let him? Do you know it's about per lead Yeah,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and women.
- 25:52Speaker 2: And women, y'all just let that ride. You're trifling heat y'all.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Was just like, yeah, girl, yeah. Letter had been a
- 26:02Speaker 2: two times to do. See that's a problem, man, man,
- 26:06Speaker 2: I always no good. She walked up to that venue.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Perline was a cold piece. Man.
- 26:14Speaker 2: He was like, let me eat theuc I got to
- 26:17Speaker 2: see what it taste like. Knowing me, I would have been like,
- 26:20Speaker 2: you walked here, let's make up. I would have made it.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Out with you, would assess the situation.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I would have been how long?
- 26:31Speaker 1: How long is the walk? How long is the walk?
- 26:33Speaker 1: Would you take? It was in Mississippi cause she was
- 26:35Speaker 1: walking mouth for shure, she walked a good three folks.
- 26:37Speaker 1: She was in the community.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I would say, three mile walk.
- 26:40Speaker 1: It's Missippi, right, Mississippi mouth.
- 26:45Speaker 2: No no wipe down.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Wie down man, Mississippi from the town from the tap,
- 26:51Speaker 1: no filter, nothing. How many miles of Mississippi could you
- 26:55Speaker 1: take before you say I can't eat it?
- 26:57Speaker 2: Blocks?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Blocks like you gotta ut the stand back of the day.
- 27:01Speaker 1: They don't have many options. Now that couchie right there
- 27:04Speaker 1: for the taking. She don't have time to wash up
- 27:07Speaker 1: blocks ain't nothing, that ain't nothing.
- 27:09Speaker 2: But then she walked miles in the Mississippi heat.
- 27:11Speaker 1: She walked. She walked. I'm gonna say she walked about
- 27:13Speaker 1: five four five because the juke joint was way out.
- 27:18Speaker 2: It was way out us and she walked and she.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Was here with it looking at her. She was she
- 27:26Speaker 1: was hoffing at booty cheek, switching like you be walking
- 27:28Speaker 1: on your walk.
- 27:29Speaker 2: And they already dance that night, and they danced. So
- 27:32Speaker 2: she walked miles and dance.
- 27:34Speaker 1: That thing was simmer.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Couchie was singing the blues. Her Coochie had a cigarette dangling,
- 27:50Speaker 2: like what you need is to eatnings to hear you.
- 27:53Speaker 2: You need to put your lips on n That Cuchie
- 27:56Speaker 2: was just schegg. I would have been like, man, let's
- 28:02Speaker 2: make it was like, come on, I would have smashed though.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Oh you would have spaper, you wouldn't go eat. Yeah,
- 28:09Speaker 1: but you ain't give me no mileage.
- 28:11Speaker 2: And I've definitely put the pipe somewhere that my mouth
- 28:14Speaker 2: wouldn't go.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, your voice, man, my voice is my livelihood.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Man, my mouth, my mouth is my bread.
- 28:23Speaker 1: But you're not gonna get sick. It's just gonna be tangy.
- 28:26Speaker 2: It's just.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Come on, man, come on, man, turn this Mississippi. Man,
- 28:37Speaker 1: I just.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Can't be giving it. You hang it out, Willy Lilly. Man,
- 28:39Speaker 2: you got to be right down there to get the
- 28:41Speaker 2: head from me.
- 28:43Speaker 1: So in your regular life there is it only post
- 28:46Speaker 1: shower right now, or you could be laying around.
- 28:48Speaker 2: You ain't do nothing that day. No, it don't have
- 28:50Speaker 2: to be fresh out the shower. You can't just be
- 28:52Speaker 2: walking in the Mississippi heat for miles and then be
- 28:55Speaker 2: like that's gonna be season right there, No rents, let me.
- 29:01Speaker 2: I need to wipe down. It's a long walk, man,
- 29:07Speaker 2: it's a.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Curby enthusiastic episode. Come on, man.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I wouldn't expect the woman to just be I'd be like, hey, hey,
- 29:12Speaker 2: now I'm walking mines in Mississippi. I't fighting for sure. Hey,
- 29:16Speaker 2: that's for sure. I'm not gonna feel comfortable enough.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I couldn't do it because I feel like nah nah,
- 29:22Speaker 1: hey man, No you don't know where I finished it. Man,
- 29:26Speaker 1: put you all it because I don't walk for five miles.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I couldn't even do that to you.
- 29:30Speaker 2: We can have our salty puts together, but don't bring,
- 29:34Speaker 2: don't bring your face.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I got this all. You got the vinegar. We can
- 29:37Speaker 1: smash it together. Yeah, but you can't go straight to
- 29:40Speaker 1: the source. Nah, hell, man, I love you too much.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I love you too much.
- 29:45Speaker 2: You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
- 29:47Speaker 2: This is the debut.
- 29:48Speaker 1: But what she was like, I don't care, I don't care.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Tone, I'm if you just hop on it.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Just ride me.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Just ride me here in his bathroom. Just ride me, girl,
- 29:59Speaker 2: Just ride me.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Need to go.
- 30:02Speaker 2: He't neither way, man, Just give me the full ride.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Excuse the full right scholarship.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Rids got warm books? Come on, man, how on man bookstore?
- 30:14Speaker 1: I get a hoodie or two.
- 30:16Speaker 2: And they went raw. That's the only way to go.
- 30:19Speaker 1: There ain't no prophylactics in Mississippi. With vampires are a foot,
- 30:23Speaker 1: you don't have time for no condomns. I don't think they.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I don't think they. They have condoms readily available. I
- 30:31Speaker 1: don't know when the collumns became readily available, because what
- 30:35Speaker 1: the center said early nineteen hundreds, nineteen twenty or something
- 30:40Speaker 1: like that.
- 30:42Speaker 2: During during the prohibition ere so the teens in the twenties.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so when the Connums become like I could go
- 30:50Speaker 1: into a store of Mississippi and just buy a condom.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Connums became widely available in the mid eighteen fifties at
- 30:58Speaker 2: the George at the charge that was good Year patting
- 31:01Speaker 2: to vulcanized rubber, and the.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Same good Year that make tires.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I think, so the year was in on the condom
- 31:09Speaker 2: good Yeah, it's rubber. It's rubber here and the rubber
- 31:12Speaker 2: industry availability. But like further in the nineteen twenties, with
- 31:16Speaker 2: the invention of liquid Latex, I saw them cheat, thin
- 31:21Speaker 2: and disposable.
- 31:22Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. When could have the average
- 31:24Speaker 1: American go into a store and buy them modern availability.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Nineteen thirties Latex manufacturing allowed fast cheat.
- 31:32Speaker 1: That makes some mass production.
- 31:34Speaker 2: So they was down there, you know what I'm saying,
- 31:36Speaker 2: smashing row pretty much. And then commins became in the fifties,
- 31:39Speaker 2: they became a primary form of birth control for married couples.
- 31:43Speaker 2: And then in the nineteen eighties the HIV AIDS turned
- 31:46Speaker 2: condoms into mainstream public health items.
- 31:49Speaker 1: And now now we're talking, I want to cover some
- 31:52Speaker 1: more stuff. Whether the episode ends, Maherschela Ali yes, he
- 31:57Speaker 1: had something to say about Blade. So prior to that,
- 32:00Speaker 1: Kevin Foggy was like, yo, one of my biggest like
- 32:03Speaker 1: mess ups as the head of mcu IS. I never
- 32:05Speaker 1: could figure out the Blade movie. Sound like he was
- 32:07Speaker 1: trying to fall on the sword himself. Yeah, they kept
- 32:11Speaker 1: asking maherschel about it. Maherscheler came out and said, look, man,
- 32:15Speaker 1: it was a very black response. I read the quote.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I didn't hear, but he was like, man, they got
- 32:20Speaker 1: bills of dollars. Man, they wanted to make blade, they
- 32:23Speaker 1: would have made blade. Stop asking me about Blade. I
- 32:26Speaker 1: was training. I had the soress. My interpretation, I had
- 32:29Speaker 1: the sword trading for over a year because they had
- 32:31Speaker 1: tried to put it on Myharscheler like the script he
- 32:33Speaker 1: was trying to man. Maharscheld said, who got the billions? Do?
- 32:36Speaker 1: I got the bills to do? Marvel got the billion?
- 32:38Speaker 2: Right?
- 32:38Speaker 1: If they wanted to make blade, they would have made it.
- 32:41Speaker 1: And I ain't heard nothing else since.
- 32:45Speaker 2: That's all you need to say. This speaks for you.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Everybody Black was like, well, I mean, I ain't got
- 32:50Speaker 1: the billion.
- 32:51Speaker 2: If they wanted to make it, they would have made it.
- 32:52Speaker 2: If they wanted to make all this other shit, Ever
- 32:55Speaker 2: since they announced Blade, they have made eighty five items
- 32:59Speaker 2: and series that sucked.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Eight episodes of all kinds of stuff.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Shea Huk was absolute garbage. Several episodes Secret Wars not
- 33:12Speaker 2: Secret Wars? What's the Captain Falcon?
- 33:15Speaker 1: Now?
- 33:15Speaker 2: The one with the one would a Fury Nick Fury
- 33:20Speaker 2: coming back? It was a series Wars. No, it was
- 33:24Speaker 2: a series on Disney Plus.
- 33:25Speaker 1: It was like, actually, yeah, I ain't even tap I
- 33:28Speaker 1: didn't even know about that even put up on now Invasion,
- 33:32Speaker 1: secret Invasion.
- 33:33Speaker 2: What was the name of it, Chatworth?
- 33:35Speaker 1: Somebody said invasion? Is that was that the name? Though?
- 33:39Speaker 2: Secret Invasion? Yeah, secret Invasion episode. My seasons are Loki.
- 33:44Speaker 1: I tapped out Moon Tonight, didn't finish.
- 33:48Speaker 2: The Little Girl Marvel, Miss Marvel.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Didn't finish I was I was out, man.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I finished Moonnight, I finished Captain America and Talking in
- 33:59Speaker 2: the Winter.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Happed out big time on that one. Isaiah Brady, you
- 34:03Speaker 1: don't understand what that shield me to me? Sean, I
- 34:07Speaker 1: was like, man, I'm out. Falcon ain't even that important
- 34:11Speaker 1: to me. Falcon and Bucky and Man, Man, I don't
- 34:15Speaker 1: unless you don't know what I had to do. I said, Man,
- 34:18Speaker 1: I'm out, and that's not why I was out. I
- 34:19Speaker 1: was just like, I don't care about Falcon and Bucky
- 34:22Speaker 1: got going. Man, I don't care what Falcon and Bucky
- 34:26Speaker 1: got going. Man. Falcon and Bucky got to be with
- 34:29Speaker 1: other niggas. Man. We had Falcon's sister's house in New Orleans.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Man turned on the lights. I didn't care about adventures. Man,
- 34:40Speaker 1: a lot of stuff to watch to Falcon and Bucky's adventures.
- 34:43Speaker 2: I was like, did you did you? Did you watch
- 34:45Speaker 2: hawk Man?
- 34:47Speaker 1: Hell? Noah? I watched the episode of that. I had
- 34:49Speaker 1: the same thought. Hawkeye's daughter is Arrow's girl. I was like,
- 34:53Speaker 1: who cares? That's Errow's nigga. Ain't even the nigga. Man,
- 34:57Speaker 1: I ain't care about Hawkeye when the real people was
- 34:59Speaker 1: in there, y'all want to follow his daughter? I'm out.
- 35:05Speaker 1: She was like the quiver. I was like, I was
- 35:07Speaker 1: at home, like, man, watch out, y'all follow and the
- 35:12Speaker 1: actress was good? Was it Hailey Steinfield? No? No?
- 35:14Speaker 2: No?
- 35:15Speaker 1: Was it?
- 35:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 35:16Speaker 1: I was just like, I just don't care, man. I
- 35:19Speaker 1: just turned the TV off and stayed there for the
- 35:23Speaker 1: amount of hour. Moon Night No, I didn't start Moonnight.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I just all you watch was vision in scholar.
- 35:29Speaker 1: With I like visit. I watched Loki.
- 35:34Speaker 2: You completed the first season, not the second second season?
- 35:37Speaker 1: King wasn't in it. No, I finished most season Loki. Okay, Yeah,
- 35:41Speaker 1: I like Loki and I'm like, oh, Wilson and my
- 35:44Speaker 1: girl was in there from Sinners. Yeah, I didn't mind Loki. Uh,
- 35:51Speaker 1: that's probably it. I didn't. I didn't finish agathol Along.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I never even started.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I wasn't cueing him up tone because I just was like,
- 35:59Speaker 1: here's here, how it be. If I see a trailer,
- 36:01Speaker 1: I'm interested. I'll be like, okay, let me let me
- 36:02Speaker 1: tap it out, check it out. And if I don't
- 36:05Speaker 1: see a trailer, then people are like, yo, you gotta
- 36:08Speaker 1: check it out, like that's ninety seven. I saw that,
- 36:10Speaker 1: but I was like, I really, but then you was
- 36:13Speaker 1: talking about it. Then everybody was talking about So once
- 36:15Speaker 1: I start feeling like I'm missing out, I'm like, well,
- 36:17Speaker 1: I'm missing something good. But I never was feeling like that.
- 36:21Speaker 1: People who was watching movie, they was like, yeah, it
- 36:23Speaker 1: was cool, it was cool, and it's just like it
- 36:25Speaker 1: was cool not enough today because there's something else that's good.
- 36:30Speaker 1: So it's just too many things. It was just like
- 36:32Speaker 1: it was cool, so I wasn't tapping in. But I
- 36:34Speaker 1: agree with you. I think that's why they didn't make Blade.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I think Marble was all over the place. They was
- 36:39Speaker 1: trying to make sure that the Disney Plus subscriptions was justified,
- 36:45Speaker 1: and I think they underes overestimated how much they could
- 36:52Speaker 1: do with these ancillary characters. And it was like, bro,
- 36:56Speaker 1: it's because they was also making the movies, and I
- 36:59Speaker 1: was like, I got to see the movie movies and
- 37:00Speaker 1: there was a couple of movies that I wasn't feeling too,
- 37:03Speaker 1: So the series made even less sense to me. To
- 37:05Speaker 1: my Herschel's point, if y'all wanted to make Blade, you could.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Man and Blade would have did well.
- 37:11Speaker 1: I do feel like that.
- 37:13Speaker 2: But I feel like they was gonna Disney this ship up.
- 37:15Speaker 2: I wonna mose parts.
- 37:16Speaker 1: No, no, no, I agree if they.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Wasn't gonna make it raided all Man, get the fuck
- 37:20Speaker 2: up bout of here. Man, don't don't give me that
- 37:24Speaker 2: Disney horseshit. When he softening his blade is rubber, he
- 37:27Speaker 2: gonna be like the Ninja Turtles with Leonardo could never
- 37:30Speaker 2: let loose because he got the guitar. Blade so he's
- 37:32Speaker 2: just useless on the Yes, they never got to use
- 37:35Speaker 2: the web, never action movie and the Turtles.
- 37:38Speaker 1: I didn't even know this until much later. The Turtles
- 37:40Speaker 1: start off as a graphic novel. They was killing, They
- 37:44Speaker 1: was chink, no love, but they was killing killing.
- 37:48Speaker 2: You can't have weapons like that and not use them
- 37:50Speaker 2: to the fullest. I get down to tell them, Michael Angelow,
- 37:53Speaker 2: because they got wood pieces. But like Raphael and Leonardo
- 37:57Speaker 2: is killing folks. You don't have a sword that you're
- 38:01Speaker 2: not chopping and stabbing. What's the point of the sword play.
- 38:05Speaker 1: There's nothing. There's no point. And Shredder got all that
- 38:09Speaker 1: stuff too. He got stabbed.
- 38:11Speaker 2: You and then he cutting you in the elevator. S Well,
- 38:17Speaker 2: oh sorry, y'all. I'll be apologizing to the foot playing
- 38:21Speaker 2: all the time. I was shredded. On top of that,
- 38:26Speaker 2: he'd cut somebody's throat because he was animated. Because once
- 38:30Speaker 2: you say that, on top of that, and then this guy, he's.
- 38:35Speaker 1: The iron thrown I tell them, people sitting on the
- 38:37Speaker 1: iron throw that be getting cut all of Shredder.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Is that Tredder is just a walking watch you out man.
- 38:44Speaker 2: You just throw a block of cheese at him. And
- 38:46Speaker 2: we got the Taco Cheese ship shredded Yo, shredd is here.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Yes, a lot of them. Claws were huge too. He
- 38:54Speaker 1: didn't have little stuff.
- 38:55Speaker 2: He had big like ridiculous. Though. You can't stand next
- 38:59Speaker 2: to nobody getting an elevator. Now, let's ready to go
- 39:01Speaker 2: by itself. Come on foot, Clay, come with me.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Intter of fact, you need to take the service elevator.
- 39:06Speaker 1: You can't even be the one the people I'm not
- 39:08Speaker 1: trying to get in there with their suitcases. Now they
- 39:09Speaker 1: done hit four and you used for four and you
- 39:11Speaker 1: don't cut their arm off.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Cut their luggage up. Treder is a hazard. Oh my god.
- 39:19Speaker 2: But uh yeah. So so with Blade, I was just
- 39:23Speaker 2: worried that was like y'all gonna soften it like Disney
- 39:26Speaker 2: owning this ship. Blade needs to be gritty and bloody
- 39:30Speaker 2: like it was in the Wesley Snipes. Here, we use vampires. Absolutely,
- 39:35Speaker 2: vampires need to come in raid it off for sure.
- 39:38Speaker 1: For sure this.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Blood and that's why they get raided. You get raided
- 39:42Speaker 2: off if you got a lot of bloody. Absolutely, So
- 39:44Speaker 2: how you're gonna have vampires and ship Pg. Thirteen.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Yes, no, just leave it alone because because Blade at
- 39:50Speaker 1: least one and two, and I think Blade was in.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Wesley had had the cameo in uh the logan logan
- 39:58Speaker 1: versus that. I mean, oh, you you talking about Mahrschal
- 40:01Speaker 1: I No, No, I mean Wesley. He at the cameo
- 40:04Speaker 1: and did Yeah, he was dep was dead polling local
- 40:07Speaker 1: or dead pulling Wolverine. Yea the most recent one. And
- 40:11Speaker 1: I was just like that probably means the mahrschal one
- 40:14Speaker 1: ain't gonna come out. And I don't know what what
- 40:18Speaker 1: what was going on, but I but shout out to
- 40:20Speaker 1: Maherscheler for being like bro y'all not gonna put this
- 40:23Speaker 1: on me. And he probably got paid something.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah. They held him for a long time.
- 40:28Speaker 1: They held him for some Bri didn't realize it was
- 40:30Speaker 1: like seven years.
- 40:31Speaker 2: I didn't realize it was that long either.
- 40:33Speaker 1: From the first announcement.
- 40:34Speaker 2: We had the little habit about the eternals in the
- 40:36Speaker 2: in the extra scene.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Yeah, voice was in there.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Damn.
- 40:40Speaker 1: That was a while ago. Seven years and he's out
- 40:45Speaker 1: all right, moving on. Michael B. Jordan, friend of the pod,
- 40:50Speaker 1: He's gonna be on here one day. Uh. He was
- 40:54Speaker 1: criticized because in the trailer of the Thomas Crown Affair,
- 41:00Speaker 1: which is coming out soon. His counterpart was not a
- 41:06Speaker 1: black woman. Yeah, todn't tell the people what happened.
- 41:09Speaker 2: So initially they had a woman cast. I want to
- 41:13Speaker 2: get her name correct before. It's Taylor something and she
- 41:19Speaker 2: she was originally supposed to be the lead. Taylor Russell
- 41:22Speaker 2: was originally supposed to be in the Thomas Crown Affair,
- 41:24Speaker 2: and then she dropped out due to the creative differences.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I don't know the official reason why. You know, they
- 41:30Speaker 2: couldn't get it to work, but she was the original
- 41:34Speaker 2: casting of it, and then they just went elsewhere, so
- 41:37Speaker 2: they went the girl that they cast. She was She
- 41:40Speaker 2: was rumored to be in talks to be the new
- 41:43Speaker 2: Wonder Woman.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Oh really yeah.
- 41:45Speaker 2: I saw her on the list of like actresses to
- 41:47Speaker 2: be like the new Wonder Woman. That's what made me
- 41:50Speaker 2: look her up. Even before the Thomas Crown affair. I
- 41:53Speaker 2: was just like, who is this they might cast as
- 41:55Speaker 2: Wonder Woman because they really need a new woman.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I try not to be mean. I
- 42:04Speaker 1: do not like Gala Gado as Wonder Woman. She don't
- 42:09Speaker 1: be acting act Oh no, disrespect I don't mean to
- 42:14Speaker 1: be disrespectful. Wonder woman, we have enough to feel denial.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I'd be like, man, watch our no, you must get
- 42:29Speaker 1: back there. I be like, girl, watched the start, I
- 42:33Speaker 1: need to start.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Steve Trevor, what's his name, Chris name, Steve Trevor. Y'all.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Gado just is beautiful and she kind of looks like
- 42:46Speaker 1: Wonder Woman. But when she be acting, I'd be like, man,
- 42:51Speaker 1: watch out and I just listen. You want to talk
- 42:57Speaker 1: about pretty privilege, y'alla though having an acting career, no
- 43:02Speaker 1: adult disrespect.
- 43:04Speaker 2: I'd be like, I can't, I can't defend.
- 43:07Speaker 1: I be like, man, I can give you nothing ever
- 43:12Speaker 1: to give you the.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Did you see tone? Nothing? I got nothing? And I
- 43:17Speaker 2: like Wonder Woman. I love Wonder Woman as a.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Wonder Woman as a character is great. She got the
- 43:22Speaker 1: jet going, she got a loss of truth, and I
- 43:25Speaker 1: mean like.
- 43:25Speaker 2: A woman as a character I had. That was my
- 43:27Speaker 2: first crush.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Linda something, Linda Carter, Linda Carter Man like girls.
- 43:35Speaker 2: That's when I knew I like girls. It was the
- 43:37Speaker 2: Wonder Woman TV show. I was like, I like, I
- 43:40Speaker 2: don't know what I don't know what it means on
- 43:42Speaker 2: what's happening here? But I like, that's when you knew
- 43:44Speaker 2: you like girls. It was a wonder woman. It didn't
- 43:48Speaker 2: like in the real world. I was like, oh, when
- 43:50Speaker 2: that girl touched my hand, I got electrocuted. I was like,
- 43:53Speaker 2: I was official. Now I felt electrocuted with a girl.
- 43:59Speaker 1: You got shocked for.
- 44:00Speaker 2: I felt she shocked. It wasn't like a static. It
- 44:03Speaker 2: wasn't like a It was like electricity. Really, it was
- 44:08Speaker 2: the weirdest sensation I've ever felt. It was like she
- 44:11Speaker 2: we were both reaching for a pencil that feel, and
- 44:13Speaker 2: she grabbed she touched my hand like that. I hadn't
- 44:16Speaker 2: never been touched by a girl before, you know, outside
- 44:20Speaker 2: of you know, the girl touched my hand. I feel like,
- 44:25Speaker 2: did she tange me? Like, what the hell just happened?
- 44:27Speaker 2: It was just and then she waved to me after that,
- 44:30Speaker 2: and I was just like girl girls it is. That
- 44:36Speaker 2: was the moment.
- 44:38Speaker 1: You got like a movie. That's like a movie. See.
- 44:41Speaker 2: It was the weirdest sensation ever. It was just like
- 44:44Speaker 2: I was not expected to be touched by a girl.
- 44:47Speaker 1: You man, you know what's so funny. We don't have
- 44:49Speaker 1: sex now and did the stuff. But if you go
- 44:52Speaker 1: way back to when you were young man away from
- 44:56Speaker 1: a girl, a smile just a. She gave me the
- 45:01Speaker 1: double up.
- 45:01Speaker 2: She electrocuted me and waves. I was like, I was
- 45:06Speaker 2: lost in the song.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Do you remember how much a wave man, man, she
- 45:10Speaker 1: waved at me. You know she did it, bro. She
- 45:12Speaker 1: weighed a hug compowered me for three weeks. Yeah, and
- 45:16Speaker 1: I hugged her.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Oh it was man. When we used to hug back
- 45:20Speaker 2: in the day.
- 45:21Speaker 1: She let me hug her man man, and we wasn't
- 45:25Speaker 1: I'm not talking about to wear my hug. No, I'm
- 45:28Speaker 1: talking about you ain't gonna get me no hugs.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Come on. The hug was just Katrina Wilson Ka treating Wilson.
- 45:38Speaker 2: When she used to hug me. Man, you could just
- 45:40Speaker 2: hoist me to the heavens right then. And now I'm
- 45:43Speaker 2: out of here. Cash down treating wheel Wilson. You were like,
- 45:49Speaker 2: oh my god, Doug Wilson eight years old, Coatreta Wilson.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Was it for me? Doog? I was in love with
- 46:02Speaker 2: mad grade from fifth grade all the way through eighth.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Katrina Wilson was it?
- 46:10Speaker 2: That was it. I hated that we was never in
- 46:12Speaker 2: the same class.
- 46:14Speaker 1: So you gotta see her in.
- 46:15Speaker 2: The ill, just see her in the halls and after school,
- 46:17Speaker 2: you know, what I'm saying.
- 46:18Speaker 1: You see when you're that age, you see in the hallway,
- 46:20Speaker 1: She's the only one in focused. Man. Everybody else is
- 46:23Speaker 1: just passers by, Katrina Wilson doing her little locker thing.
- 46:28Speaker 2: You like, Katrina Wilmon, Katrina Wilson. Everything else faded to
- 46:33Speaker 2: the side. It was like set pieces. Everybody rolled off
- 46:37Speaker 2: the set and I was like staking her hand. Man.
- 46:45Speaker 2: I was all in. I was all in though she
- 46:49Speaker 2: was one of the darkest girls at the school. She
- 46:53Speaker 2: was one of the dark skin yeah yeah, because you
- 46:56Speaker 2: know we was all black, yeah yeah. But Katrina Wilson
- 46:59Speaker 2: was like, she's one of the darkest ones easily.
- 47:02Speaker 1: And I was just like, did you a dater?
- 47:10Speaker 2: No? We never, we never, did, you know what I'm.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Saying, Oh you just had a four year crud.
- 47:15Speaker 2: I was just loving on Contrita Wilson.
- 47:18Speaker 1: From Afar, from Afar.
- 47:19Speaker 2: I think I eventually got her number, but I was
- 47:21Speaker 2: too scared to call, and you really were scared. I
- 47:24Speaker 2: was shook, man, you just.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Said that in your video yesterday. Then I don't walk
- 47:27Speaker 1: up to no woman. I don't know the street. I'm shy,
- 47:29Speaker 1: That is it.
- 47:30Speaker 2: The shyness is a historical part of it. But I
- 47:33Speaker 2: just don't roll up on women I don't know because
- 47:36Speaker 2: I don't know them. I don't know what kind of
- 47:38Speaker 2: mood they in. I don't know what kind of day
- 47:40Speaker 2: they had. I don't know, So I'd rather just not
- 47:43Speaker 2: approach you in that fashion. And dudes was just like,
- 47:46Speaker 2: dudes just couldn't fathom what I was talking about. This
- 47:49Speaker 2: one lady is like, that's a punk ship, and I
- 47:51Speaker 2: was like, fuck you. She always got called he I was.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I was on the verge. I got your punk right here.
- 48:00Speaker 1: You be turning on her to die.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Listen, say what you think.
- 48:04Speaker 1: I think it's because you like you do stand up
- 48:07Speaker 1: you in public. The thought of you being shy or
- 48:10Speaker 1: not want to pull up. It's like you don't come
- 48:12Speaker 1: across as a shy person.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but I got like I can't hold court like
- 48:16Speaker 2: once once a conversation. Avenue is open, got your good
- 48:21Speaker 2: ass time. It's like me coming out of nowhere, like,
- 48:24Speaker 2: what's up with you? What's up?
- 48:27Speaker 1: Chevrolette?
- 48:29Speaker 2: See you out here driving your cavalier. This is what
- 48:32Speaker 2: you're driving. I'm rolling up with the supermarket avocados. Huh,
- 48:36Speaker 2: that's crazy.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Avocado. As soon as you cut them.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Man, they be dying off. Man, what's up tonight? I'm
- 48:44Speaker 2: not rolling up man, rolling up old women.
- 48:49Speaker 1: I do not know what If she's like inviting, like
- 48:53Speaker 1: like a smile, it's got to be clear invitation. So
- 48:56Speaker 1: she got to be like you come talk to me.
- 48:58Speaker 1: It's got to be clear smiling.
- 49:00Speaker 2: The smiling too, because a lot of people just polite
- 49:02Speaker 2: and I'm polite to people take it like you just
- 49:05Speaker 2: be ignoring women. No, I'll be like, how you doing.
- 49:07Speaker 2: I'm not gonna be like I'm not awkward. You know,
- 49:12Speaker 2: I'm not just gonna pull up on you while you're
- 49:14Speaker 2: doing self checkout.
- 49:16Speaker 1: So you got a bunch of bananas? Okay?
- 49:19Speaker 2: Like I got you got vitamin?
- 49:24Speaker 1: Or are you doing like that? It's crazy? You ain't
- 49:27Speaker 1: gotta do it?
- 49:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you get like ezek, you crazy.
- 49:37Speaker 1: You made it weird so you could still you could
- 49:40Speaker 1: have just.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Spot you guess, still be your man. You bring your
- 49:45Speaker 2: own man you.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Yeah, That's why I be so glad. I wouldn't lit
- 49:50Speaker 1: because I'm the same. I ain't. No, I can never
- 49:53Speaker 1: kick no game, even at forty three, as comment as
- 49:57Speaker 1: I am with my life, my skill, my ability. Just
- 50:01Speaker 1: like hello, I would like to talk to you like
- 50:06Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 50:06Speaker 2: It's that roll up man, It's not organic on the
- 50:10Speaker 2: conversational two for me, Like if I meet you at
- 50:12Speaker 2: somebody's game night, Oh for sure, ass is mine. I
- 50:17Speaker 2: got you did the right if we if we meet it,
- 50:20Speaker 2: I find you interested. We are the game night.
- 50:23Speaker 1: You're done. Yeah, because you already mutually the friends have
- 50:26Speaker 1: been invited. You kind of already got at least one
- 50:27Speaker 1: factors friend so and so. You already introduced me.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Yeah, how you doing? We're playing games?
- 50:32Speaker 1: I got you dead, I got your ass, and now
- 50:36Speaker 1: Katrina Wilson, it's over. You ran into Katrina Wilson in
- 50:39Speaker 1: the street right now. She looked exactly the same. You
- 50:43Speaker 1: know what's her sprounded your reeting?
- 50:46Speaker 2: Wilson, we meet again.
- 50:52Speaker 1: When forty nine years old. I ain't gonna let you
- 50:54Speaker 1: get away in that grade. I ain't gonna let it
- 50:55Speaker 1: happen again.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Man, Katrina Wilson, was it alright?
- 50:59Speaker 1: Man? We got time for one more thing. I just
- 51:03Speaker 1: think it's interesting.
- 51:04Speaker 2: It was something, wasn't it something? We said we can
- 51:06Speaker 2: talk about that on the It was storm?
- 51:09Speaker 1: Oh oh waen.
- 51:11Speaker 2: We barely even touched on that. We went off on
- 51:13Speaker 2: the town.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Remember, we don't need to finish the Storm.
- 51:17Speaker 2: But then we went. But let's go back to the
- 51:21Speaker 2: to the actress itself.
- 51:22Speaker 1: For Jamie Loston for Storm, Yes, okay, I like this.
- 51:25Speaker 1: I like this too.
- 51:27Speaker 2: It was either her, Jody Turner or uh Wise. Those
- 51:32Speaker 2: are my three favorites.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I love the wander Wise, I love Jody Turner.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Isn't Jamie lost in the Mayor in d C. She's
- 51:40Speaker 1: in the Batman, she was in Penguin, Yes, she was
- 51:44Speaker 1: great in that. But for me, I need Storm to
- 51:47Speaker 1: be brown skinned girls.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Let's get it.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Storm is a deep brown skinned woman. Don't bring me no.
- 51:54Speaker 1: I love Tolly Berry and I know why they cast
- 51:57Speaker 1: her the cell tickets. Holly Berry was too light to place.
- 52:00Speaker 1: No more we had Holly did her thing. I ain't
- 52:03Speaker 1: even mad at her.
- 52:04Speaker 2: And then what's her name? Alexandra Ship? She was also
- 52:08Speaker 2: kind of like light skin too. No more, no more
- 52:11Speaker 2: light skinned Storms. I need a brown skinned girl. Who
- 52:15Speaker 2: need Katrina Wilson. I need a Fency Beauty, a lady
- 52:20Speaker 2: who was happy. Fency Beauty had more shades of foundation.
- 52:24Speaker 2: If your Storm didn't need Fency Beauty for foundation, get
- 52:28Speaker 2: her out.
- 52:30Speaker 1: If she didn't. And when Rihanna introduced Finty and Storm
- 52:33Speaker 1: wasn't like, finally, then get her out. We already had
- 52:38Speaker 1: the light skin storm Storm historically, stan Lee said, man,
- 52:42Speaker 1: brown skin, brown skin, get her a brown skin with
- 52:47Speaker 1: and I think Jamie Lawson has an actress's gray and
- 52:50Speaker 1: I need Storm to her full potential. I feel like
- 52:53Speaker 1: the movies and stuff, Storm would really be out here. Man,
- 53:00Speaker 1: she was really out here.
- 53:01Speaker 2: Let me tell y'all something about Storm that y'all probably
- 53:04Speaker 2: don't know because the movies never do her service. All right,
- 53:07Speaker 2: When they first when they first crafted the new X
- 53:09Speaker 2: Men team out with the old they the old Ones
- 53:13Speaker 2: was captured on that island, and he was like, Professor,
- 53:15Speaker 2: I got some new casts coming in. A big Russian
- 53:17Speaker 2: that could turn in the middle, a storm goddess, teleporting
- 53:21Speaker 2: demon looking dude, a wild dude from Canada with claws,
- 53:25Speaker 2: and then there was like a Japanese dude called Sunfire.
- 53:29Speaker 2: It was like you could tell. They was like, let's
- 53:31Speaker 2: check all racial boxes. We got Thunderbird, he's native American.
- 53:36Speaker 2: We got an African girl, we got a German, we
- 53:38Speaker 2: got a Russian. Like all right, but it just so
- 53:41Speaker 2: happens that they were dope. They killed Thunderbird all pretty
- 53:45Speaker 2: quickly after that, and then some sun fire didn't last
- 53:48Speaker 2: with that core of like Colossus, Nightcrawler, Wolverine coming in
- 53:53Speaker 2: and Storm coming in. It was just like and then
- 53:56Speaker 2: they had the Irish dude Banshee. It was just like
- 54:00Speaker 2: you can see what they were doing, but the time man,
- 54:04Speaker 2: and so you know, as you as you, as you
- 54:06Speaker 2: went forward in the storylines, everybody would get there like
- 54:09Speaker 2: little Shine, you find out this Storm is claustrophobic. And
- 54:12Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, Like once she panics, it
- 54:15Speaker 2: unleashes like the full potential of her power because she's
- 54:19Speaker 2: an omega tone. She panics out like, oh she's gone row.
- 54:25Speaker 2: I remember it was crazy Storms going.
- 54:28Speaker 1: She's Omega level, like Jean Gray, like Professor X. She
- 54:33Speaker 1: is omega level. She never gets You never see her
- 54:36Speaker 1: o make a level in the.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Movie, right never.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Now she was saving the day like we need her.
- 54:43Speaker 2: It was like, yo, man, the stuff she can do.
- 54:45Speaker 2: And like you know, as as time went on, I remember,
- 54:48Speaker 2: uh she had lost her powers. Yes, So then she
- 54:52Speaker 2: challenged Cyclouds for leadership with the X Man because cy
- 54:56Speaker 2: Clouds was fumbling. You couldn't get over the loss of
- 54:58Speaker 2: gene or whatever. She's like, Yo, man, I'm gonna fight
- 55:02Speaker 2: you for leadership of And she was able to beat
- 55:04Speaker 2: the cyclops without the powers. And she was able to
- 55:06Speaker 2: challenge Callisto for leadership of the Morlocks in the sewers,
- 55:11Speaker 2: I mean, in the subways. I challenged you the fair one.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I ain't even gonna use my powers straight Listo. She
- 55:18Speaker 2: was the leader of the Moralize. He's like, you could
- 55:20Speaker 2: be the leader while I'm gone. But just know this, bitch,
- 55:23Speaker 2: I beat your ass fast straight off. This the type
- 55:27Speaker 2: of stuff Storm be doing. But they don't give but
- 55:29Speaker 2: none of this real estate.
- 55:30Speaker 1: When they get her in the holly Beard was spinning.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Around like I said, you know what happens to a
- 55:34Speaker 2: frog when it gets struck by lightning, the same thing
- 55:37Speaker 2: that happens to everything else. Who the fuck wrote that line?
- 55:41Speaker 1: Who the fuck.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Wrote that line?
- 55:50Speaker 1: It was so lame though.
- 55:52Speaker 2: She just came in when when blazing it just elexecuted
- 55:56Speaker 2: his tongue and then man, get out of here.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Man, so bring her back because Jean Gray and brand
- 56:02Speaker 1: New Day. She ain't even nowhere near as big as
- 56:06Speaker 1: she is. But they let you know there's levels to this.
- 56:08Speaker 1: At thirty three feet one enough it became the whole
- 56:12Speaker 1: island thousand kilometers. Jean Gray was outside of her Earth
- 56:17Speaker 1: when she was in her full Phoenix, she was outside
- 56:20Speaker 1: of the planet.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Left the left, she left the Solar System, she left
- 56:24Speaker 2: the galaxy, and we destroyed one.
- 56:27Speaker 1: And so give so so we know y'all trying to
- 56:30Speaker 1: show because this is young Jean Gray and the brand
- 56:32Speaker 1: new day. So I feel like they're gonna come with
- 56:34Speaker 1: the young X men. Let us grow up into them
- 56:36Speaker 1: next five six, seven years. Make sure Storm got that
- 56:40Speaker 1: same level of respect on her name.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Absolutely that you just.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Gave drink Jing Gray, who's young, and because Jean Gray
- 56:45Speaker 1: never really got control of her powers for real life,
- 56:48Speaker 1: she could never get it all the way.
- 56:51Speaker 2: It was never they would either tame her up too much,
- 56:55Speaker 2: they made her on the phoenix level. I feel like.
- 56:58Speaker 1: She never liked Professor Who's like Professor Ax Magneto are
- 57:02Speaker 1: in full control of that.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Sure even with.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Cerebro, Professor X is in control Jim Gray's she would
- 57:10Speaker 1: be crying over side Clouds Wolverine.
- 57:12Speaker 2: It should be freaked out, always some instability and let
- 57:15Speaker 2: her get her cool. Let her, have that control, that confidence,
- 57:19Speaker 2: that thing, and I want I want Stone to get
- 57:21Speaker 2: busy man like x me in ninety seven. Yeah, the
- 57:25Speaker 2: second season, first season, storm rolls up. She turns the
- 57:30Speaker 2: sand into glass with the lightning strikes. Yes, she whips
- 57:34Speaker 2: up a world wind full of glass and shreds the
- 57:37Speaker 2: sentinels up.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Now we're talking, now we cook.
- 57:39Speaker 2: This is what I want to see. She was just like,
- 57:42Speaker 2: I'm coming in with a plan. I'm gonna turn that
- 57:44Speaker 2: ship to glass world winning that shred you motherfucker.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Yes, this is what I want to see in LA.
- 57:50Speaker 1: That's what I want to see in the live action.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Y'all got the money that you ain't got no blade money.
- 57:54Speaker 1: You some of that left over blade money and make
- 57:56Speaker 1: it right. All right, man, we've done with this. I
- 58:00Speaker 1: want to say one more thing.
- 58:01Speaker 2: This is on here.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Jaafar Jackson and Will Smith gonna start in a movie
- 58:05Speaker 1: next year called Supermax. The action thriller follows two FBI
- 58:10Speaker 1: agents investigating a possible and impossible murder within a maxim
- 58:14Speaker 1: security prison. Let me tell you what, Tom, If JAFARV.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Jackson wants to have a long career, he gotta get
- 58:21Speaker 1: this right.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Oh he oh, man, the pressure is on.
- 58:24Speaker 1: He had I mean, I don't think he'll have a
- 58:26Speaker 1: second The second Michael movie done for sure.
- 58:31Speaker 2: If he looks like Michael Jackson in this movie, we're out.
- 58:37Speaker 2: If we look at him, see he he's supposed to
- 58:40Speaker 2: be undercovering prison.
- 58:43Speaker 1: It's like Joseph, I'm taking control of my own life.
- 58:46Speaker 1: All right, man, watch out Michael too.
- 58:48Speaker 2: You owe the brotherhood fifteen bucks arian interest. Motherfucker.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Then we gonna be like, all right, bro all, it's
- 58:57Speaker 1: out the bun, y'all, y'all.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Can we gonna be gotta have a gritty haircut and
- 59:03Speaker 2: baldfar Jackson gotta be bald in this movie tone because
- 59:09Speaker 2: you know, black folks, we already only put you in
- 59:12Speaker 2: whatever we saw you.
- 59:14Speaker 1: So he needs to.
- 59:15Speaker 2: Just always be Michael to me, that always, but.
- 59:20Speaker 1: For real because the Michael row is tough. But you
- 59:25Speaker 1: I mean, I'm so sorry, brother Jackson. You gotta nail it,
- 59:30Speaker 1: and I hope he does. I thought he was amazing
- 59:32Speaker 1: and Michael.
- 59:33Speaker 2: I want him to go far with his acting career
- 59:35Speaker 2: because he was amazing.
- 59:36Speaker 1: He was amazing in Michael. But brother, if we if
- 59:39Speaker 1: there's a hint of the letter m in that movie.
- 59:43Speaker 2: You're done.
- 59:44Speaker 1: You're gonna be on lifetime movies forever. Zeus the pressures.
- 59:51Speaker 2: You may not even smile in this movie.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Can't smile. He can't. He needs to come in his voice,
- 59:57Speaker 1: gotta be deep. He gotta be killing, stabbing, because he's
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: an FBI show. He's like, freeze, yeah, if he do,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I'm out. He checked to send me the script.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: He gotta be in smooth criminal mode. But not but not,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: hey man, smooth criminal. Michael had swag he did in
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Smooth Crimpal.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: But I don't feel like Michael. You would ever been
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: afraid of Michael Jackson. I don't know, man, he shot
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: somebody in Smooth Criminals. Didn't even look at the person
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: he shot, but he did this.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but he's just like he was in that woman's face,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: that dude, just because he came up with the knife,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: and he was like because that, that, to me is
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: the toughest Mike, smooth Criminal, not bad dad. I was
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: just like, man, watch.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: That man, watch out the Smooth Criminals with criminal. I
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: was with him now. I was like, all right, yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: freeze FBI. He's gonna flip his bash there, like, hey man,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: stop doing the Michael stuff.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Will can take it there for sure, to be sure.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Will is covered. I think they have given him the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: best chance ever for sure by pairing him with Will.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: But if he's like, you're under arrest, all right, man,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: and I know he won't do that, But we're coming
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: in with Michael O's because that means that Michael and
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Michael too and Supermax is gonna come out, possibly the
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: same year.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: They come out the same year. He does nail it.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Now you get doing it, beautiful thing. Now he can
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: do anything.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I wonder where they're gonna take it to Michael.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Too, man. And they legally they can't do the there's
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: certain things they can't cover with the allegations. And to
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: me it was already like, man, it's just celebrate Mike.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: So if you're not gonna cover the allegations, then just
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: then just scoop by, because to do that time period
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: post ninety with no allegation talk, it's gonna be like
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: now it's a biopick. Now, Like I don't know where
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: else you going. If you're gonna avoid the allegation, get
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: them allegations up in there. And if you ain't talking
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: about the one kid, I think Jordan's name. If you
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: don't talk about him, then you gotta come on.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Brother, Yeah, you gotta talk about it, because that's gonna
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: be the dramatic.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: That's the part that makes a biof. That's gonna be the.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Dramatic real estate. Yes, everything that Michael was going through
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: because of these allegations take us thick.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Because that's in the music too. They don't care about me.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: All that stuff is scream scream. That's all based on
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: how they was.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: You know, productions.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: You people still DM me like I'll be culling up
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: scream y'all didn't.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Here's what we did. We was like, man, y'all, like, hey,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: you ain't listening to screen in forty years. You wasn't
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: culling that. Even when you had your little Michael Jackson
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: before we say that, he was like, man, Michael Jackson,
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: you was listening to thriller off the Wall. You know
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: what I'm saying. You You would get some some some
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: hits every now and then queue and scream up.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: You wasn't he bab I'm shooting the podcast of course
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: this Melissa, Yeah, yeah, remember we should Melissa be doing
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: this on purpose? Yoah, we're doing it tomorrow too, but
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: we actually might not because we just shot that episode now.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: So we're just gonna do it all today and then
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I'm just gonna come with you tomorrow and be done.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Where y'all going tomorrow?
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I love you.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: So she just called just to talk, So y'all be
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: on the phone just regularly.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: If we're stepping from each other when I'm on the road,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: we be talking tough.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: That's great.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: That's why I could never achieved because I don't have
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the energy to have another conversation. It's as simple as that.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Cheat you do, get ahead of that conversation.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I'm not even joking you, I get I almost come
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: to the Hives thinking about I got to talk to
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: List for real after the show? You want me to
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: make another phone call after that? And I have talked
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: to List sometimes you do the show. I have talked
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: to her for another hour, which is fine. I love it.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: But after that I get any Hey, Tasha, yeah, yeah, shows,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: and I gotta say the same stuff. Oh my gosh, man,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you would you do to night?
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: That was your name? Man? Most multiple? How was your nights?
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I couldn't even do it? That was your name? Man,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I'd be like man, I just I'm not nope, I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: just am happily marriede y'all. I'm just the thought of
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: answering the phone again or calling you call me and listen,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: be knowing. Like if I'm on the phone with list
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: and I get distracted in the scroll Instagram or something,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: she'd be like, what else are you doing? I'd be like,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: what what I'm talking with?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Somebody's checked out?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: She's like, keV, I know when you and just let
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: me go, right, So I can't. So I really got
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: to be fully because sometime you talk for hour, I zone,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: she'd be talking. I'll be you know whatever, I come back,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: You're right, you're right. I used to lie, but I'd
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: be like, hey, she caught me. Every time. I'd be like,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you're right, I'm tripping.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: You can tell what you can tell with somebody. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: right up. That's crazy. That's crazy.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: So so I'm giving her my full attention. So even
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: if I was checked out of the second conversation, I
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: don't got it. Leave me alone. Just and even if
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I wasn't with me listens at the thought of having
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: to tell three people how the show was, because the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: show was already one thing. So I don't want to
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: repeat it. So we got to all talk on three
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: with good.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: The second show ill you? Hey? Yeah was the second show?
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: That was first show?
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: That is the second show? Yeah, you know the first
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: shows just leave feel lot back the bag tall.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Literally that was your n that was hey, man, I
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: put it on my put it on my threads. First
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: show was energy was up. Yeah, it was great, man,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: second show was a little light. The energy was Okay,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you go you checked my threads and see how the
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: show was.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: I want you to tell it. Oh my god.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: And even if that was something good, like oh, man,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: the second show was actually good for a for a
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Friday late. Man, I went on a little tangent. Man,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: it was great, all right. The second show was actually
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: good for for a Friday late. I went on a tangent.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: By the third time, I was like, man, the second
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: show was bad. Second show was bad.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: I don't even want to second show. I don't know, man,
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: what's up?
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I don't even want to talk about it. I don't
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: want to talk about either show.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: Did you that much?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a bothered you.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: But now you just don't say from the repetition.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Lord, all right, man, we're done with this
