- 0:00Speaker 1: Still Mark Simone show continues.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Are it's only Monday, in a rough week. So far,
- 0:12Speaker 2: it's a mess out there. Just looking out the window,
- 0:15Speaker 2: I see more people walking around. An hour and a
- 0:19Speaker 2: half ago, you look out the window and see maybe
- 0:21Speaker 2: one person on a block walking along the side with
- 0:24Speaker 2: Now it's like four or five six, So people are
- 0:26Speaker 2: starting to get out there. A lot of stuff will
- 0:29Speaker 2: be closed today. Check wherever you're going. Restaurants, supermarkets, a
- 0:33Speaker 2: lot of stuff is not open today. Also, it's gonna
- 0:38Speaker 2: it'll all die down. It's gonna end by five thirty
- 0:41Speaker 2: or six. The wind already dying down. The rate of
- 0:44Speaker 2: the snowfall is dramatically down. It was snowing it like
- 0:47Speaker 2: two inches an hour overnight. Now it's snowing it like
- 0:50Speaker 2: zero point two inches an hour. So much better now.
- 0:57Speaker 2: President Trump tomorrow night, big State of the Union speech.
- 1:00Speaker 2: He'll talk about tariffs and how to continue them. He
- 1:02Speaker 2: can keep doing the tariffs. Just as Supreme Court was
- 1:06Speaker 2: not a massive slap down of the tariffs. They basically
- 1:11Speaker 2: said the law you're using to do it is the
- 1:13Speaker 2: wrong one, and they didn't offer any remedy of any kind.
- 1:18Speaker 2: They didn't say you got to return the money or
- 1:21Speaker 2: since they kept it very light, it was a very
- 1:24Speaker 2: light slap on the wrist. It wasn't what the network's
- 1:28Speaker 2: made it out to be. President Trump not happy with
- 1:30Speaker 2: the ruling.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I can destroy the trade. I can destroy it.
- 1:34Speaker 2: What he's talking about here is a lot of people
- 1:37Speaker 2: think the Supreme Court ruling was incorrect, including Justice Kavanaugh,
- 1:40Speaker 2: who probably wrote the smartest opinion on it. He used
- 1:44Speaker 2: this Emergency Powers Act, which allows him to do pretty
- 1:48Speaker 2: much anything when it comes to trade with another country.
- 1:52Speaker 2: He can shut it down altogether. He can do so
- 1:54Speaker 2: many things that, to Kavanaugh's point is it's kind of
- 1:59Speaker 2: crazy to think when they wrote this act they didn't
- 2:03Speaker 2: also mean he could have tariffs. If he could do
- 2:06Speaker 2: the most extreme things, why couldn't he do a light
- 2:08Speaker 2: thing like this. So many believe Kavanaugh was right on this.
- 2:11Speaker 2: The other judges were wrong in order to even That's
- 2:14Speaker 2: what he's talking about here.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I can destroy the trade. I can destroy the country.
- 2:19Speaker 3: I'm even allowed to impose a foreign country destroying embargo.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I can embargo. I can do anything I want, but
- 2:27Speaker 3: I can't charge one dollar.
- 2:30Speaker 2: So that was Kavanaugh's point, and he's probably right. It
- 2:32Speaker 2: was a crazy ruling.
- 2:33Speaker 3: They're just being fools and lapdogs for the Rhinos and
- 2:37Speaker 3: the radical left Democrats, and not that they should have anything.
- 2:42Speaker 2: At all to do with it.
- 2:43Speaker 3: They're very unpatriotic and disloyal to our constitution.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah, now, if you're watching the networks, this is unprecedented. Now,
- 2:50Speaker 2: it's not plenty of presidents of attacked a Supreme Court ruling.
- 2:53Speaker 2: But you can't say bad things about the justices. Well,
- 2:56Speaker 2: of course you can. You notice the king of that
- 2:57Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer. Remember it came to was some sort of
- 3:00Speaker 2: an abortion room. You remember Schumer out there at the
- 3:03Speaker 2: rally with the megaphone warning Gorshous, you're gonna get it,
- 3:06Speaker 2: You're gonna get yours. We're gonna go after So nobody's
- 3:10Speaker 2: been worse at threatening attacking the Supreme Court justice than
- 3:14Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer himself. President Trump just saying he's disappointed.
- 3:19Speaker 3: The Supreme Court's ruling on tariffs is deeply disappointing, and
- 3:26Speaker 3: I'm ashamed of certain members of the Court, absolutely ashamed
- 3:31Speaker 3: for not having the courage to do what's right for
- 3:34Speaker 3: our country.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Why why this is unprecedented this kind of response. No,
- 3:38Speaker 2: it's not plenty of presidents have said exactly the same thing.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Hey the Olympics. Are they over yet? No, they're still going. Hey, well,
- 3:49Speaker 2: who watches Network TV anyway? I'm not a big Olympics fan,
- 3:52Speaker 2: and I have no interest ever have in hockey. I
- 3:54Speaker 2: don't know why, I just can't get interested in hockey
- 3:57Speaker 2: watching it. But this is a great moment for the
- 4:00Speaker 2: United States as they beat the Canadian hockey team when
- 4:03Speaker 2: it's really significant because right now we're bickering with Canada
- 4:08Speaker 2: and right now well and also because Canada is the
- 4:12Speaker 2: the hockey capital of the world. So if you can
- 4:14Speaker 2: beat Canada and hockey, you can beat anybody. Great moment
- 4:17Speaker 2: for the United States. God of States with numbers, walk
- 4:22Speaker 2: across with thumbs.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Jack Switch the golden goal for the United States for
- 4:32Speaker 3: the first time since the nineteen eighty bar gold in
- 4:35Speaker 3: the United States.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Takes the doll Well, it was quite exciting, all right.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I mean again, I'm not a hockey fan. I'm not
- 4:44Speaker 2: a big Olympic fan, but that was exciting. The snow
- 4:47Speaker 2: stay home. You got the best county executive in America,
- 4:51Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman, Nassau County.
- 4:53Speaker 4: It's easier for our cruise to make the highways and
- 4:57Speaker 4: roadways safe, and it will be safer for you to
- 4:59Speaker 4: say stay home with the high winds and the snow
- 5:02Speaker 4: and the lack of visibility.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's another reason for these emergency things where you're
- 5:09Speaker 2: not allowed to drive. They want nobody on the roads.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's because it's easier to clear the roads and clean
- 5:13Speaker 2: them and keep You can't just wait till it all
- 5:15Speaker 2: falls and then clean the road. You got to clean
- 5:18Speaker 2: and plow like every couple of inches in order to
- 5:21Speaker 2: get it done properly. So that's the other reason.
- 5:23Speaker 1: This storm will be a profound storm, one that will
- 5:28Speaker 1: reach blizzard level with high winds fifty to sixty miles
- 5:33Speaker 1: an hour, and we could have accumulation exceeding eighteen inches,
- 5:38Speaker 1: which would definitely be historic.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you look at Blakeman. It's a good
- 5:43Speaker 2: looking guy, but you look at him, he looks like
- 5:45Speaker 2: a guy who's been around. He looks like a guy
- 5:47Speaker 2: with a ton of experience. He looks like a veteran
- 5:49Speaker 2: who's done millions. He looks like he knows what he's doing.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Then you look at mom Donnie. He looks like he
- 5:54Speaker 2: just got out of college a week ago. He looks
- 5:56Speaker 2: like his only job he read in his life was
- 5:59Speaker 2: being like a paper boy or something. He looks just
- 6:02Speaker 2: like a total inexperienced guy.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Combined with daytime temperatures slipping above freezing and overnight lows
- 6:07Speaker 5: dropping to the low twenties, this snowfall will melt then refreeze,
- 6:12Speaker 5: resulting in dangerously icy sidewalks and streets.
- 6:17Speaker 2: All right, looks totally inexperienced. But you get a lot
- 6:20Speaker 2: of these young elitist little college kids. They got no
- 6:23Speaker 2: experience at all, but they can talk like this, and
- 6:25Speaker 2: they can talk very fast, and they talk so fast
- 6:26Speaker 2: than you think, well, the guy must know what he's
- 6:27Speaker 2: talking about, because who can talk that fast if he doesn't.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And they so they sound like they know what they're doing,
- 6:32Speaker 2: but then they try to do it and nothing gets done.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Speaking of nothing getting done and incompetent. So this Gavin
- 6:38Speaker 2: Newsome is running for president obviously, and you know this
- 6:43Speaker 2: voter ID question, I think everybody in the world now
- 6:48Speaker 2: realizes it's just a complete scam by Democrats. They we
- 6:52Speaker 2: have voter ID for everything everything, everything, to buy anything,
- 6:56Speaker 2: to get cough medicine and drugs, you got to have
- 6:58Speaker 2: a voter photo id everywhere to get on a plane,
- 7:02Speaker 2: come into any office building. You know, if you want
- 7:04Speaker 2: to go to MSNBC or CNN, you got to show
- 7:07Speaker 2: a photo I d to get in their building. You
- 7:08Speaker 2: have to show photo ID everywhere for everything. So the
- 7:12Speaker 2: only thing, the only thing they don't want it for
- 7:13Speaker 2: is voting, which means it's obviously a scheme to get
- 7:16Speaker 2: illegals voting, to get people to vote multiple times. Obviously
- 7:20Speaker 2: it's a scam. So Newsom is being interviewed on some
- 7:25Speaker 2: panel and he's up there in front of the audiences.
- 7:28Speaker 2: He says, well, you can't require a photo ed because
- 7:31Speaker 2: a lot of people don't have a birth certificate. They
- 7:34Speaker 2: don't have and then Newsom says, I don't have a
- 7:36Speaker 2: birth certificate. I don't know where it is. I haven't
- 7:39Speaker 2: seen it in a million years. I don't know where
- 7:41Speaker 2: my birth certificate is, so I can't get it. How
- 7:43Speaker 2: could I get it? A lot of people were stunned
- 7:46Speaker 2: that Newsom is could he be that stupid? I think
- 7:48Speaker 2: I assume he's just lying. He's not actually that dumb.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It's very easy to get a birth certificate replaced if
- 7:54Speaker 2: you don't have your birth certificate, if you lost it
- 7:56Speaker 2: a million years ago. It's a simple matter to get
- 7:59Speaker 2: it replaced. Just google it replace a birth certificate. Fifty
- 8:04Speaker 2: different sites will come up. Government sites. Also, there's a
- 8:08Speaker 2: lot of private companies that do it for you. You
- 8:10Speaker 2: just go fill out a form where you were born,
- 8:13Speaker 2: all that stuff, and they'll get you a replacement birth
- 8:15Speaker 2: certific You might have to wait five six weeks for
- 8:18Speaker 2: it to come in the mail, but it's very easy
- 8:20Speaker 2: to get a birthdat of it if you don't have yours,
- 8:23Speaker 2: simple thing in the world. Nobody could believe Newsom is
- 8:26Speaker 2: that stupid, that bumbling, that he has no idea that
- 8:30Speaker 2: you can get your birth certify it replaced. So the
- 8:33Speaker 2: Democratic Party has a problem. Besides having all these crazy
- 8:37Speaker 2: radical left wing far left woke, they've got an amazing
- 8:41Speaker 2: assortment of very dumb people. You had AOC last weekend
- 8:47Speaker 2: ten days ago. AOC is at this conference in Munich,
- 8:51Speaker 2: and she's asked a simple foreign policy question. If China
- 8:54Speaker 2: invades Taiwan, will the US respond, Will they do something?
- 9:00Speaker 2: And the answer is, of course, yes, we will defend Taiwan.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Or the answer is and this is actually the official
- 9:08Speaker 2: policy of the United States. They're called strategic ambiguity, but
- 9:13Speaker 2: you give an answer of some cause. So she couldn't
- 9:15Speaker 2: answer the question. Instead, she double talk a word salad
- 9:18Speaker 2: that sounded so ridiculous. And she's been ridiculed all over
- 9:22Speaker 2: the world for bumbling an answer to a simple question.
- 9:27Speaker 2: And I guess it's getting to her. So this weekend
- 9:29Speaker 2: she put out a it was in the middle of
- 9:31Speaker 2: the night. It looked like the middle of the night.
- 9:33Speaker 2: She put out this rambling, mumbling, a whispering kind of response,
- 9:38Speaker 2: trying to explain why she gave such a dumb answer
- 9:40Speaker 2: to the question. And I guess she does this by herself.
- 9:43Speaker 2: There's no staff to say to her, Hey, don't post this.
- 9:47Speaker 2: You look like you're drunk. It looks like it's in
- 9:49Speaker 2: the middle of the night, looks like a drunken rant.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Don't post it. You look stoned. You look well, here
- 9:54Speaker 2: it is. This is what she posted. It's her at
- 9:56Speaker 2: home alone, like right in the face, right in the camera.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Think that I don't understand foreign policy because out of
- 10:03Speaker 6: hours of discourse about international affairs, I pause to think
- 10:09Speaker 6: about one of the most sensitive geopolitical issues that currently
- 10:13Speaker 6: exist on Earth. I'm afraid the issue is not my understanding.
- 10:18Speaker 6: But rather the problem is perhaps you've gotten adjusted to
- 10:23Speaker 6: a president that never thinks before he speaks.
- 10:29Speaker 2: With that whole what the ranting was all about. It
- 10:32Speaker 2: just sounds really really really crazy, but not helping her
- 10:36Speaker 2: at all. Last, on the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping, h nobody
- 10:43Speaker 2: really knows anything at this point. They're talking about that
- 10:46Speaker 2: the problem is this local sheriff's office. It's a bumbling
- 10:50Speaker 2: local yocal, you know, Barney Fife, kind of a sheriff's office.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Then making statements about the DNA could take a year
- 10:57Speaker 2: to analyze. I don't know what that means. They're thinking
- 11:00Speaker 2: this could be a total amateur. Some think it's a
- 11:04Speaker 2: couple of private eyes who've been working on this, who
- 11:07Speaker 2: think it's the drug cartel. There's a lot of people
- 11:11Speaker 2: think it's a total amateur by the bumbling way that
- 11:13Speaker 2: the amateur approached the door and then had nothing to
- 11:16Speaker 2: cover the camera with, so he grabbed some foliage and
- 11:19Speaker 2: try to do it with that, and then didn't know
- 11:20Speaker 2: how to do it. Also, the holster that he was
- 11:23Speaker 2: wearing on the front is like the lowest, cheapest, crummiest,
- 11:26Speaker 2: most amateurish holster. They don't think any professional criminal would
- 11:30Speaker 2: use such a holster, also sited the suspects of clothing
- 11:36Speaker 2: and gear. It didn't look right. Now, there's some that
- 11:39Speaker 2: still go to the Mexican drug cartel thinking that the
- 11:42Speaker 2: type of clothing. And he's one that says this kind
- 11:46Speaker 2: of stuff that is typically in Mexico, cheap holster, those
- 11:49Speaker 2: weird looking gloves, that sort of stuff. Now they found
- 11:53Speaker 2: an Arizona couple found another pair of gloves. These these
- 11:56Speaker 2: gloves blood stain out there near the neighborhood. Actually, people
- 12:01Speaker 2: have found several different several different gloves all around the neighborhood.
- 12:05Speaker 2: How does so many people throw their gloves all over
- 12:07Speaker 2: the place. It's a very warm climate there. I don't
- 12:10Speaker 2: know why all these people would have gloves anyway, who
- 12:13Speaker 2: would wear gloves in such a warm climate. But we'll see. Hey,
- 12:16Speaker 2: the Ukraine War, does anybody remember that? You know that
- 12:19Speaker 2: Russia Ukraine? Do you know they're still fighting? You never
- 12:21Speaker 2: hear a word about this ever. Used to be all
- 12:24Speaker 2: over the news. You don't hear a single thing about it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Watch every newscast in the world for the last week,
- 12:29Speaker 2: nothing about Ukraine. But the war still continues, and Ukraine
- 12:35Speaker 2: a huge strike this past week Ukraine strike missile strike
- 12:41Speaker 2: against a key Russian military facility. It was a missile
- 12:45Speaker 2: factory actually, and it was deep inside Russia, eight hundred
- 12:49Speaker 2: and sixty miles inside Russia, eight hundred and sixty miles
- 12:53Speaker 2: inside Russia, and the Ukraine hit it with a bunch
- 12:57Speaker 2: of missiles and took it out. And they used not
- 13:00Speaker 2: Tomahawk missiles, US Tomahawk. No, No, they used Flamingo missiles.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Now you're saying, what the hell's a Flamingo missile. It's
- 13:07Speaker 2: actually made by a company called the High Point. It's
- 13:10Speaker 2: a Ukrainian company in Ukraine. They can travel reportedly two
- 13:14Speaker 2: thousand miles. But they were right on target. Took out
- 13:18Speaker 2: this missile factory eight hundred and sixty miles deep inside Russia,
- 13:22Speaker 2: all done with Ukrainian made missiles. Pretty good. So it
- 13:27Speaker 2: may get to the point where they may be able
- 13:29Speaker 2: to actually make their own weapons, defend themselves, not depend
- 13:33Speaker 2: on us for anything, though. We'll see. Hey, we'll take
- 13:37Speaker 2: some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to two
- 13:39Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three
- 13:43Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten. We want a snow report
- 13:46Speaker 2: wherever you are. Call us from all over the Tri
- 13:48Speaker 2: state area. Give us a little snow report. Hey, you
