- David: Hello and welcome to week four of Whiskey and Winners. We go over all the big gambling stuff. We got some some pros with us. I call pros, but that's just bit based on what I can see from where I am. Although although Greg: You the one that went four and one last week. David: I I got a little beef. I feel like in the recap show I was listening, I don't feel like I got enough love. I don't feel I got enough love for my four and one baby. I tried to tell you. You called it beginners luck. I call it flat out talent, Greg. Greg: Well, David, you ain't gonna get no love if you think you we believe that you had something better to do than hang out with us on Sunday afternoon. You could have filmed that recap. David: I was actually I'm pretty sure I was at a ball field. That's normally how it goes. It's my life now. But this is Whiskey and Winners. that one you heard talking just now was Mr. Gregory Miller. We won't ask him 'cause he's gone sober. It looks like he's got is that a Lani? Greg: No, I'm actually not gonna show what I'm drinking, but it's a it's a sweet tea of some sort. David: twisted tea? We done came off the wagon. Greg: No no. David: Was it Morgan Wallin's Brian: Mm-hmm. David: sweet tea? Ryle? Greg: we're we're not answering questions. David: He's got that Morgan Wallin sweet tea. Brian, before you go, I'll introduce you, but I want to I too am drinking that it's it's Wednesday. I'm excited. I went four and one. I'm celebrating. I didn't go whiskey. I went with Papa's Pilar Dark Rum. And if you know what Pilar is, that is Hemingway's boat. So we got Hemingway's whiskey. In this case, rum. But I got a little dark rum going tonight. Figured I'd change it up a little bit. Brian, I know you got something that's gonna blow mine out of the water. What you got? Other than that sweet ass sweatshirt that you got on repping Montana State, baby. The Bobcats. What are we drinking on tonight? Brian: Just drinking Buffalo Trace tonight. Just easy weekday sipper. Can't beat it. David: Dude, for the price, hard to beat. That and Elijah Craig single barrel, I mean, that is just smooth, smooth stuff. Good stuff, good stuff. Greg: David, I'd be I'd be remiss if I didn't point out the fact that you're drinking a drink named after Hemingway's boat is about the closest you will ever come to having anything in common with Ernest Hemingway. David: How dare you, sir? I feel like I'm old man on old man of the sea at this point. I don't know if you see all this gray shining. I feel like old papa papa myself. I'm trying to look like Hemingway. Minus, you know, blow my ear off and jump like that. sad life. Fu a joyous, crazy, fun field life, but boy, ended horribly. I don't Greg: Well, as as we spoke about on common sense superheroes, man, some of the most talented and and animatic people that like that that that give us so much joy, and they they all seem to battle some demons of their own inside. David: Yeah, I'm a big Hemingway fan. Old Man and the Sea is one of those books that I read every couple of years or so. That's what if you s where I s want to sound fancy, I'll say that's my favorite book of all time. So I'll do that. But there's a f he's got some bangers. He can write. And I don't have to look up some people will write a book and I have to look up the words every two or three pages. I'm like, all right, I ain't trying to get out of damn dictionary while I read. He reads for the he kinda writes for the common man, so how dare you, sir? Greg: You can take the boy out of Thomaston, but you can't take the Thomaston out the boy. David: You damn sure can't. You can't take four and one, baby. I'd take that all day. I went four and one, as they pointed out. Greg, I I think I listened. We overall we did well, but I think you and I kind of helped carry this ship. What was your record last last w last week? Greg: I w I was I was six and two, David. I I'll take six and two every week. your four David: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Greg: and one, my six and two, it actually it it came around. Brian had carried the show for the better part of David: Mm-hmm. Greg: the first three episodes. So we we we finally got rid of Chad and brought on some good weight and now we can now we can help him out when he has a bad weekend. David: All right. Well, speaking bad weekend, it it started out, I was like, them damn nose. I tried to tell you, when something like that happens where you're gonna drop your athletic director, I was like, listen, they gotta have some cojones. They gotta come out and wanna play with some fierceness. And that's why I picked them. But I didn't point out the fact that that lasts for about a half. But if there was not that second lightning delay, I feel like things would have continued on. But that's just me. Brad, how did it go for you this w over the weekend? Brian: went still went six and five, so it's still a winning winning week, but it dropped my percentage down to about fifty nine percent, which that's all right. But yeah. But we're we're we're gonna it's come Greg: That's a good thing when you could have a winning week and your percentage goes down. That's a good that's a good sign. David: Yeah. That is that is a good sign. Brian: it's coming again, a big week's coming again and yeah, that that second delightning delay when when we had a little bit of momentum with with blue skies, you know, that kinda that hurt. David: That killed it. That killed it. I know. And I know y'all went over it as well, talked about the LSU old miss game. I was a little pissed off because of the lightning delays and everything going on with Florida State. They appear to be cursed. Like Greg said, I think in the recap, he was like, Y'all lead the records in most delay games, that's for damn sure. But Greg: Well, you know, let me put that out there to to the three or four fans we've got. Is it it can't just be me. Brian, you and I have talked about this. In the last three or four years, there have been more football games delayed for weather than I think I ever recall in the previous years I've watched football combined. Like I I mean, in all the years I've been watching college football, I can't remember, but maybe one or two. And I'm gonna be honest with you, I have had action on a lot of college football over the last 25 years. And I don't ever remember that happening. And it's like every weekend two or three games are getting delayed. And you know, I want to bitch about it because it screwed up my watching schedule because I wanted to watch Florida State, Alabama, and then Ole Miss and LSU. And now I had to kind of I thank God for two TVs. David: I wanted to like the whole lead up to LSU O Miss, I wanted to see a lot of the stuff. I wanted to see him coming in the stadium. I want to see him coming into every I wanted all that. But I feel like I couldn't because I was stuck watching LSU I mean FSU Alabama. But I do love that they're like, hey, there's lightning off in the distance. We gotta get the players out of here. Now all you tens of thousands of fans, you know, F y'all, who cares? Y'all stay right there and get the I like we can't get the fan where the fans just stuck out there. Like you can't get out of there soon enough. They get to jump off the field quick. If something major happens, they're just screwed. So they they ain't worried about us fans. But there is a lot of lightning delays. I agree. Brian: Yeah, we're the we're the ones sitting on the metal bleachers, so David: Yeah. Ridiculous. Well, let's hop right into it, fellas. The first game we got up is a doozy. I hate to even start with this one because this is going to be one of the number one games I watch. And speaking of number one, we got number one Texas at beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee, the Tennessee Volunteers. Shout out to Ty Eves, who's a big Tennessee fan. Shout out to Morgan Wallen who makes Greg's tea over there. That's why he did it. That's why he did it. He wanted to go Tennessee. We know who Greg's picking. Kickoff is at twelve o'clock at Neeland Stadium in Knoxville. Last week, Texas beat UTSA thirty to six, would you think it'd be a little bit more? Tennessee played Kennesaw State. The Miles forty two to nine. The line I got, I know it I think what I printed out may have shot up a little different than some of y'all's, but I got Texas giving up five and a half, total being a fifty five and a half. Is that what you got, Brian? You the stats Brian: Mm. David: guy. Brian: Yeah, that that's what I what I saw lately. It's been ch been changing. David: All right, well we're gonna start with you. We're gonna start with Brian, what you got? Who you taking? Brian: First trip to Knoxville for the Longhorns. Faison Brandon for Tennessee quarterback, he's been playing great as a freshman, but this is by far gonna be the best defense he's ever seen. So I expect, you know, them to kind of ease him into the game. One thing I'll give out, Jyce Heipel, he is one of the best coaches in the country is opening script. They've actually scored on their opening drive of every game this season. So my official play in this one. I I one other stat we can talk about is Arch Manning's coming back into the house that his uncle built. So that's a storyline. But David: It's gonna be s that's something. You know they wanted to go there, I'm sure. Brian: yeah. But I'm on I'm gonna back Hypel's opening script. I'm gonna take Tennessee plus one and a half in the first quarter. David: See, I think I'm well starting to learn this whole stuff, gambling stuff, and you start throwing out quarters and stuff. Can we not just do games? But that's why I don't make money at this and you do. That is you said Te Tennessee Texas what now? Brian: Tennessee plus one and a half for the first quarter. David: Tennessee plus one and a half. All right. You talked about Hyper. Can I just say this first before we move on? People forget Josh Hyper was an athletic quarterback. He he looks like me now. He put on he put on a few, okay? As did I. So I get it. But I think people forget, dude was an athlete. He was a baller. Yes. Greg: he was he was more of an athlete than a thrower. He was not the prettiest of passers. He didn't have a great arm. He he willed that team to a national title. That and a hell of a defense. David: He could he could move. He could go on. So Greg, he went first quarter Tennessee. Who you got? Greg: I don't I don't disagree with that play. Tennessee at home getting points in the first quarter is always a solid look. I just Brian and I talk about it all the time behind the scenes. I I just can't get comfortable with some of those shorter term plays because on a play like that, you're taking coin toss into effect. Like it you just got more variables in play. I think it look, I this is such a unique matchup. Nealand Stadium is one of the more unique places. It is one of the true home field advantages in in the country. But I think this is a major step up in talent for Tennessee and who they're facing. This Texas team has got athletes like Tennessee hasn't seen in a while. I think both teams kind of want to feel each other out. I think both teams are going to want to try to avoid anything that that costs them the momentum. I think it's going to be a sl a slow pace, lower scoring game. I lean towards Texas to win and probably cover, but I think the better play is the under fifty-five and a half. I could see it going Texas. you know, twenty seven twenty four, Texas twenty seven, twenty one. I I don't want to mess with those points, but I think in either scenario, Texas gets the W and we come in under fifty five and a half. So that's that's my official play on this one. David: That's not bad. I like to go different than most, of course. And I don't know if we could do overunder how many times Arch is gonna have to apologize. Is Holly Rowe doing the game? Is he gonna have to apologize again to Holly Row for laughing at an AI video? But I do think that might come into play. I think he's coming in like, man, just he's having to answer questions. Probably gonna have to answer questions before that as well. Maybe a little distracted, but Tennessee I know it's a twelve o'clock game, but still it's Tennessee. If you've been through Tennessee when it's football season, I always say, like, boy, when you got flags on top of cars, you will see some Tennessee flags. That is a diehard fan base. They will fill that stadium packed out against number one. I like Tennessee in this one. I think Morgan Wallen, who makes that T that Greg loves up there, I think he's probably gonna be at the game. I think he's got he's on vocal rest. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the game. Even though he's a vanity guy, I think we would might even see Theo Vaughn at the game. I think everybody's gonna be hyped for this one. Tennessee's gonna wanna show out. They're gonna show that Arch should have came to our school. So t I'm taking Tennessee, Brian. Write it down, book it, take it to the bank, son. But I'm taking the Brian: I got it. David: five and a half points. But so I think that's gonna be the case. But this whole ridiculousness it it was stupid, I get it. But let's let's stop apologizing, Arch. You know, man up. Brian: Yeah, fa Greg: Well have you seen have you seen and have you seen the subsequent interviews he's done? This that that David: No, I'm just Greg: little that little incident has completely taken any ability or personality away from Archman. He like he's become Mar he he's Marshawn Lynch now. Yeah. He's Marshawn David: He's just very mute. Yeah. Greg: Lynch in the interview. David: He's Bill Bell say on to the next one. On the t that's why I say I think it's gonna be a little bit of distraction. I think that's what's gonna get caught this game and I wouldn't be surprised if they lost outright. Greg: No, I I think he's gonna be pissed off. I think he's gonna be pissed off and have one of his better games of the year. Once once he David: Mm. Greg: gets settled, his his uncle built that stadium. This this is this has got Manning Day written all over it. David: I think you can play pissed off as a running back. I think you can play pissed off as a receiver or something. I don't think you can play pissed off as a quarterback. I don't I don't think that's gonna fly well. It's like in a fight. You can't get can't get in a fight pissed off. That's when you get reckless. He's gonna try to force something over to old Cam whatever's Cam Cam what Cam Cam War not Cam War the Co Cam Coleman. He's gonna try yeah, he's gonna try to force Greg: Cam Ward or no can't Cam Ward Cam Coleman. Cam Ward's just my quarterback. Yeah. Brian: Yeah. David: something. Ironically is in Tennessee now, so you're close. Greg: Yeah. David: I think he's gonna try to force something, and I think a big turnover late's gonna be the difference maker. So book it up. You've you've said before, you've said I can't this feels like a trap. You've said I don't I've heard you, Greg, the few times. You're like, there's a reason this number's there and I don't know why. But you're gonna have to explain this one to me. I don't get it. I don't understand it. From what we saw this past weekend to what we've seen in the past little bit from this other team, how on earth is Florida giving up three and a half? Even though they're at home against number four O Miss, who put on a phenomenal game last time. Greg: Can can I go first? David: Yes. Greg: Hold this one. You almost stole my thunder, but I'm gonna give what is the simplest analysis in the history of college football gambling. If you're giving me Trinidad Chambliss and three and a half points, I don't give a shit if it's played on the moon. I'm taking Trinidad Chambliss plus three and a half points. Until proven David: I don't get it. Greg: otherwise, I I ain't getting in front of that train. I look, I I will give kudos to to Florida. There's a good win at Auburn. As a diehard Georgia fan, it pains me to say this. I think Florida program is trending in the right direction. That is a program on the rise, but I don't think they're at Ole Miss level of athletes. That old Miss team has been recruiting well for years. Lane didn't leave that cupboard bare. And on top of that, I think I think the athletes match up pretty well. And I get the best quarterback in college football plus three and a half points. It smells fishy. And this may be one of those that I go back and go, it seemed too damn obvious, and that's why I lost. But no, to me, there's no possible way I'd do anything but take old Miss Plus three to half. David: The coach was like they they were telling him, I like, you you're getting three and a half points. He's like, Who who said that? It's there's a lot of good drugs out there in Vegas, apparently. That's all they could think of. Tri I'm sure Brian's gonna bring this up, but Trinidad Chambler is three for three sixty three against LSU. What do you think he's gonna do as against Florida? I don't know. Brian, what say you, my friend? Brian: This is the the ultimate Vegas knows something line that scares me away from it. I'm like you. I don't see how they're favorite in the game. But in the past fifteen years, when a lower twenties ranked team is playing a top five ranked team and the lower ranked team is the favorite, they've won that game sixty-four percent of the time. Fifty-nine percent against the spread. So one thing I'll put out there to my to the to our viewers is, you know, listen, if you think that you found free money, just because you you see this game, you think you've seen it, but casinos are not building big casinos like that in in Las Vegas by losing money. There's 80% of the money coming in on Ole Miss in this game. They know it's going to be that. The line went the opposite direction of where it was supposed to go. It's opened up at two and a half. It's up to four and a half at one point. Now it's come back down to three and a half. My head tells me Ole Miss is gonna win the game. The numbers tell me to leave it alone because some reason they're saying Florida. So I'm gonna leave the side alone. I'm just gonna take Ole Miss team total over twenty six and a half points. David: Over twenty six and a half points that make sense seeing how well they can put it up. And you do I did call last week. I don't know if y'all I was on here, but I caught it on Facebook or social media. I was like, I just something about Kiwan Lacey. I feel like he's gonna be injured. I think something's up. Now he ended up hurting a totally different part than what I thought, but he is still questionable. I don't think I've heard anything lately about whether or not he's gonna play, but he is banged up, that's for sure. But unless Trinidad Chambler's grows I mean rolls up in her new Rolls Royce in Vegas. Somehow somebody paid him off. I don't know how you can stop him. I just really don't. I I don't think he's the type that can be bought, but this is a very fishy situation that makes no sense to me. Greg: Ever everything B Noble's just told everybody is a hundred percent true. And as soon as I saw it, I'm going, like I I have those same thoughts, but I will point out and I will I will die on this hill because I I believe that much in Trinidad Chambus at this point. All those historical teams didn't have Trinidad Chambus on them when they lost or didn't cover. I'm just telling you, I think that dude is different. I think he is special. And if you're giving me a field goal plus a half a tick, I can't I can't not take it. Brian: Yes. David: So write it down for me too. I'm taking old miss to to win this one. Brian: Yeah, Trinidad is definitely probably the best quarterback in the country right now. So I David: Yeah, yes. Brian: the team total is what I felt like was a better play with what that line looked like. Greg: Brian, I don't I don't know how much of that you like that dude is a freaking wizard, man. Like not only does not only is he a freak athlete that can outrun people, he's got amazing touch and precision on his passes, but he's got eyes in the back of his head. He throws passes out like it's he is like the Steph Curry of the college football, and is damn close to Patrick Mahomes as I've seen like it's it's a he's a that cum wizard and I'm not betting against him again. David: Mm, I feel bad for him because he's probably gonna get drafted by the Falcons. I feel like it's gonna be s he'll come back for another season. Greg: He'll come back. He'll come back. Brian: They might already be tankin' for him. David: man. I mean, I would, I'd take for him. The dude is a stud and got a little emotional. He got a little threw out some Bible verses, then throw out a F word right there at his post game speech. He came out and apologized, but I'm like, Hey bro, it's football. You gonna get emotional? It's all right. You can let a word fly here and there. This one here is wow, boy. Even though they won last week against New Mexico 14 6, they won 14 6 against New Mexico. Oklahoma, the Sooners, Tyler Carlton's team is going to number two Georgia Bulldogs. It has it's gonna be a three thirty kickoff. Georgia put on a put on a show against Arkansas. I mean, Arkansas did their best. They got that receiver that is just that that guy. Wow. He made some catches that just blew my mind. That was the one arm just whoop. One arm catches I don't know. I'll hope he finds his way to Athens because Greg: That dude won't be in Fayetteville next year. David: he's about to get paid. He got paid based on his performance last week. One arm catches are getting too easy. That used to be I'm like I see it now and I'm almost like, okay, I get it. But when you actually look at it in slow mo, you're like, holy crap. Like that's insane. But Oklahoma is traveling to number two Georgia. Georgia's giving up thirteen and a half. The total over London is forty-three and a half. Nate Fraser got a little shaken up at that game, so we'll see how that comes out to play. But Georgia is three and and a dominant performance against Arkansas. Brian, we'll start with you. What are you taking or who are you taking? Brian: I mean, this is gonna come down to a defensive battle for b I mean, Matear for Oklahoma has not looked good at all to me. I mean, he's struggled the last two games. I mean, they've 14 points, like you said, on New Mexico. in the first half of the last two games, they scored zero against Michigan and they scored seven against New Mexico. So I started trying to figure out the best way to to play this game. So I'm gonna back. Kirby Smart's defense in the first quarter. I'm gonna take I mean not the first quarter, the first half. Give me Oklahoma a team total under seven and a half. I don't see how they score more than a touchdown against Georgia in the first half. David: Greg, what say you? Now keep in mind the their big their big left tackle, Michael Fouse Fousey, Fousey. He's it's a chance he's not gonna play, so that's gonna get that defense. I I mean it's already a a struggle. They're gonna have to try to stop these guys, but what say you? Greg: Well, we all know my my emotional connection, and that that makes it hard to to really look at Georgia Games the right way. I I feel like I had tried to take off my red and black glasses and look at this strictly from an analytical standpoint. My first reaction was Oklahoma getting 14 sounds like a tempting bet, which kind of led me to think, you know what? We might beat on by more than 14 because that seems like the obvious bet to take Oklahoma. But then when you look at that total at 43 and a half, that is an awfully low total. For us to go in there and pummel somebody. I don't see it being, you know, 30 to 3 type game. I think it's going to be more, you know, 27 to 14, 21, 13, 24, 13. This has got Kirby Smart Special written all over it. I know Kirby respects Brent Venables. I know that both of these teams want to focus on the defenses. This is again anything can happen. Fireworks have been known to randomly go off anywhere in college football. But I see this being more of an old school SEC rock fight between two defensive-minded coaches that just don't want it to get out of hand. They don't want to give away anything to the other team. I I think if if we get close to the plus fourteen, I think it's 27 to 14 or something like that, 27-17. Give me the Sooners plus 14 and a bet that I'll be honest, if I lose, I'm kind of okay with it. David: Yeah, of course, 'cause you wanna see a dominant performance, you know, for the for our boys. But I'm with you. I just have a feeling I just don't see us coming out and throwing up a forty something and and giving up a t a tw ten of twelve. I just I just don't see it happening. I feel like Oklahoma's gonna come out. Not that this is a trap game necessarily, but I feel like it's about time that we get a little scare. Seems like there's always a little scare at the beginning of the season against teams that we shouldn't have that scare against. Now you Oklahoma wouldn't have been that team that you'd have to scare against. You'd think that but that's just gonna be a damn good battle. But so far they've showed pretty much nothing. So Greg: I I have got the despite what we have seen from both squads to this point, and and this is a a very unimpressive Oklahoma team that is rolling into Athens, it call it just gut intuition, call it just that that I've been a diehard fan for a long time. That little voice in my stomach is telling me that at some point in this game we're gonna trail and it will it may not be anything like earth shattering, but this will be the first real taste of adversity this Bulldogs team has seen this year. I like I don't think it'll be massive. I I could see seven nothing, seven to three. I I could see us being behind even maybe as we ease into the second quarter and it getting just a little bit uncomfortable for the first time this year, but it's gonna happen at some point. And I'd l I'd rather get that out of the way in Stanford Stadium in Athens than have that happen in T David: Yeah. Greg: Town down the road. So I I said I I think the right play is Oklahoma plus fourteen. My model agrees with it. So I I'm on OU plus the 14. And again, if I'm wrong, I'll I'll eat it. David: I think we're gonna see quite our quite a bit of wide receiver screens. I think it's coming, especially with Fraser if he's banged up. We're gonna be screening it. Damn Bobo. But it is what it is. But next up we got number seventeen Iowa at number eighteen Michigan. Kickoffs at three thirty at the beautiful An Aubas Stadium. I do not like Michigan, but I gotta give props in the fact that that's kind of a legendary type stadium. Like you think of Michigan, they g they they'll they'll fill the big house. They'll make it happen. Last week, Iowa beat Northern Iowa fifty-five to nothing. Take that with a grain of salt because it's Northern Iowa. Michigan beat Utah 52 to 17. Take that because it is University of Texas El Paso. But Iowa ran for 154 yards to Xavier Williams and had three touchdowns on only six carries. I don't like like we said when Nate Fraser was doing it. I don't care if you're playing seventh and eighth graders. You score three touchdowns on six carries, that's putting something up. Now I believe it did come out that Michigan, they reviewed it and like, yeah, we kinda messed that up. We're not gonna change the call, but we should have gave was it Western Michigan the win that time. So they got a golden horseshoe up their butt, but still it's something about Michigan I just do not like. But Brian, what say you in this game? Brian: This this total looks like it's supposed to be two Service Academy teams playing. So I was trying to look at that I was looking at this, David: I forgot to say that. Thirty eight and a half. Brian: yeah, 38 and a half. So I'm historically when a team that's not service academies play each other and the total's under 40, it goes over sixty percent of the time. My model shows it going over seventy percent of the time with an average score of twenty one to twenty Michigan. My gut tells me that this score is gonna be twenty one to seventeen. So I'm gonna pay to little bit of juice and I'm gonna take the over thirty seven and a half for the game. David: I can see that. I forgot to say the spread. Michigan was giving up five and a half. So they got Greg, what say you? Greg: This is this gonna be a moment of humor here. I Iowa gives up about four points a game, and that Michigan offense doesn't scare me at all. I think Michigan covers the five and a half, and I don't like Michigan and I don't like laying that kind of weird number. I I I got under thirty eight and a half for two reasons. One, I hate playing unders and a total of thirty eight and a half is absolutely disgusting. So that's the case. I I'm leaving this almost the opposite. I don't care what the number say. When you post a total like that, it I just feel like it's gotta go under. And I I emotionally speaking, I've had a a pretty good track record with betting Iowa under. So maybe we could get the middle and it'll land on 38. but I I'm going under 38 and a half. I I I see this being, you know, maybe Michigan 20, Iowa 13. I think Michigan's got a little bit better athletes. We'll make a couple more plays. And I think Michigan covers the five and a half. I would lean that way, but I think they stay under under the 38 and a half. Brian: I think if we if we middle that, that's gonna be impressive for sure. David: I don't even know what that means, but we'll go with it. When you say Greg: If it lands right if the total lands right on thirty eight, he wins his over thirty seven and a half, and I win my under thirty eight and a half because it landed right in the middle of them. David: Perfect. That's what I do. I don't really get into doing over and under for myself in my betting, but so I'm gonna stay away from that. I gotta get I gotta work myself up to that. But I am gonna take Iowa. I just something about Iowa I like. I think i like it could be something about Michigan I don't like right now. It's just they're riding on a high, like I said, I think they got a golden horseshoe, but the Dave Portnor can only get so excited, I feel like it's time for the old Hawkeyes to make something. They I'm not saying they're gonna outright win, but I think it's gonna be a field goal game, if anything. So I'm taking I win this one, Brian. So Brian: Got it. David: put it down, take it to the bank. I don't know if you heard Greg, four and one. I don't know that I don't know I'm not good at stats, but I feel like that's seventy five percent. I'm just saying. Greg: It David, not not only did I hear, I'm the one that had to announce it 'cause you weren't on the recap show. David: I know. And you sure enough did go by quick. I think Brian even mentioned it once. You didn't even tell you said, yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. Beginner's luck. And then i Brian had to keep bringing it up. I like, Thank you, Brian, 'cause Greg doesn't want to point out the fact that I know what the hell I'm talking about. I do not know what I'm talking about. Greg: David, if if if if you were to do an entire episode of Common Sense Superheroes around the fact that Brian Nobles is a better human being than I am, dude, we could go at it 'cause I will not argue with you. David: It's yeah, it's not a very po can't go back and forth on that one. It's pretty standard. Greg: Yeah. I will not argue. He is a better human being. That's why he's my David: Mm. Greg: best friend. He's a better human being than I am. David: One thing you cannot argue is Alabama, even though the score didn't show it at the end there, did have a bit of a scare. I think Calen De Boer had a little little puckered up there in the first half. Florida State came out ready to play. they ended up beating Florida State fifty to thirty six and as Greg pointed out, I believe in the recap, said that he could have probably put up put up another score or two, or maybe Brian did it, but he didn't do it. but South Carolina is going into number eight Alabama. That game is at 7 o'clock at beautiful Bright Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Dreamland ribs, man. I don't know if you ever had Dreamland, but it is some good ribs. Last week, South Carolina lost to Mississippi State. Mississippi State looked good. They may be surprised some folks. Score was 4134. Right now we got Alabama giving up twelve and a half. At home, Keelan Russell played Three touchdowns, one rushing touchdown. I mean, he he was putting some plays up, but as Brian will be quick to point out, that was against Florida State. So I'll let Greg go first on this one, let you s have another sip thinking about Alabama. But Greg, I got Alabama giving up twelve and a half. The overunder is fifty five and a half. What say you? Greg: I have not been as high on this South Carolina team as anybody has all year long. And I am convinced that some point this year, and I'm hoping it's now and not when we roll into Tuscaloosa, Alabama's gonna put together an entire game where they don't piss on themselves for an entire half. I think it might happen this weekend. I I I I think South Carolina rolling in for a night game in Bryant Denny. I think this is just what Alabama needs to kind of get their season like on track the way they feel like they should be. I don't think this one's competitive. Give me Alabama minus twelve and a half. David: We got a Ryan Williams siding in that game. He scored a good one and has had to show his wife, which kudos to him getting married at a young age. I kinda like that. I dig it. Not the smartest move. If I was about to go into I'm already making millions, but if I'm about to go into NFL making more millions, I don't think I don't think marriage is in my my future, but he did. He made a good play though. He's back. So Brian, what say you? you still s licking your wounds over there from Alabama? Brian: That was yeah, that was something y'all were text me or yeah. David: It was fun though. The first half was fun. Brian: yeah, people text me, they look good, they look good. I said, I I I've seen this story before. I still feel like my n my nineteen and a half was gonna be all right, but David: He's the fan. He knows. Brian: it was close. Greg: It it should have. Like ev everything trending in that game, nine your nineteen and a half should have got home. Brian: Yeah. Shane Beamer in a game like this, as a double digit underdog on the road, he's ten and eight. In comparison to Josh Hepel, who's one and seven, and Sarkeesian, who's two and seven, he's won six of those games outright as a double digit underdog. but like we just said, Kamario Taylor just lit him up. So I think Keelan Russell is probably gonna do the same thing. The line at twelve and a half, I don't like that number. It's kind of a dead number type of area. So I leave it alone. I'm not gonna have an official on this thing. The best thing I could see, the only lean I could find on this game would be to take the under fifty-five and a half. I think you're gonna have a pissed off Alabama defense that just gave up fifty points or they just gave up thirty-six points to Florida State, that's gonna have something to prove. So I feel bad for what's fixing to happen to Lenora Sellers and the Game Cox. David: Yeah. I I think you I think you're right about that. I I know it is a lot of points and I I can do the math and say that's more than two that's right at two touchdowns, but I think that's what Alabama's gonna do. I think they're gonna let it fly. I think they gave him just enough confidence in Keelan Russell that that he needs to get going that game. Like I said, struggled at first, but he started Ryan Williams siding. I think maybe that woke his butt up. Maybe he's tired maybe his legs came back after that honeymoon. Maybe he got his legs back. As Mick would say in Rocky. Women make your legs weak. Maybe he's back to normal now. It's been long enough he he don't he don't happen. But I think we're gonna see another Ryan Williams touchdown or two. I think he's gonna let it fly. Keelan Russell, that is. So I think it's gonna be more more than a twelve and a half, so I'm taking Alabama in this one as well. Am I starting to sound like I know what I'm talking about, Greg, when it comes to gambling or am I just spewing Greg: Any anytime you follow my plays, you sound like you know what you're talking about. David: I mean, that's not on pr that's not on purpose. It just happens to be. So I'm taking that. All right, then we got speaking of somewhat upsetting, and they tried to be a bully and pick on the next team they play. I'm like, you can't get those points from the previous you can't take these get points with you. Number twenty Oregon playing at number twelve USC. Big g gonna be a fun game. Gonna be a fun game. I can't wait to watch it. It says seven thirty PM Eastern, which I'm glad 'cause This could be one of those ten o'clock games at night, which I no way I could stay up for, so thankfully it's that. Last week Oregon beat Portland State eighty-four to nothing. If that ain't no let let me make up for the previous week where I got my butt stomped, I don't know what is. That's just a bully move with your pretty uniforms and all that. I think it's a punk move, personally. You shouldn't have been up that high. You should have been playing your night stringers at that point. USC beat Rutgers forty two to thirty five. Wow. USC. Well, Rutgers came to play. but we got number twenty Oregon at number twelve USC. Like I said, Oregon giving up two and a half. The total sixty two sixty two and a half. Woo. Not a big defensive battle there. Brian, what say you? Brian: You talk about the points that they gave up to Rutgers. USC is probably one of the worst tackling teams in the country right now. They David: Ha ha. Brian: they missed a lot of tackles, not just against Ruskers, but against Fresno and other games. They I've watched them. David: Rolly. Brian: this one of them games again with the lower ranked teams favored, but Dan Lannon, he's two and against Lincoln Riley. Lincoln Riley's also six and thirteen at USC against ranked teams. that's not a very good stat. USC, like we said, they're 4-0, but they're one and three against the spread. So Dan Lannon, first half after he scored 60 points, he's 12-2 against the spread, which comes in at about 86%. Lincoln Riley's teams have a habit of starting slow in a ranked game. So I'm going to bet on them to start slow again. Pay the little bit of juice. Give me Oregon first half moneyline. David: I like it. And it's a West Coast game, even though it's some distance apart. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw a lot of Oregon fans in the stands as opposed to USC. 'Cause Will Farrell ain't coming to this game. He he's done gave up on so they won't be quite the celebrities. Greg, what you got? Greg: Well I I need I need to ask my my buddy for some insight first of all. I I I I David: All right. Shoot. I got you. you not me? Greg: I know that Oregon is no longer in the Pac twelve and they're now in the Big Ten that houses like eighteen teams. USD is still w in what was once the Pac twelve that I don't even know who's left in it. But Southern Cow still in there? No? Where they? All right. Brian: No, they're they're they're in the big ten also. Greg: they're some of it. Well, it's still Pac-12 football in my mind. Neither one of these teams plays David: Cheese. Greg: a lick of defense. You mentioned the fact Southern Cal can't tackle. Southern Cal didn't even want to tackle. They just want to get back on offense. They don't give a shit. But I I think I actually think Southern Cal might win this game outright at home. I I'm I'm a big Dan Lanning fan, but I am not sold on this Oregon team. But I don't trust either one of these teams to prove pro like prove to myself consistently they can do anything. But I prove I know they both score and I know neither one of them likes play defense. I will be surprised if one of these teams doesn't score forty on the other one. Both of them get into the thirties. Give me the over. Sixty one and a half, sixty-two and a half, a hundred and three and a half. I don't care. Give me the over, but I prefer the sixty one and a half. Brian: I heard a I heard a guy talking earlier said, what if you could take Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma again with the offense he's got now and the defense Oklahoma's got? That'd be heck of a ball team there. David: Yeah, for sure. USC gave w it was within seven of Rutgers who hadn't won a game all season. I think Oregon's gonna roll in there and just still pissed off from a couple weeks ago. I think they're gonna try to they're not gonna get to eighty-four by no means, but I think they're gonna try to put on a show. I think things are gonna happen. I think that might have been their wake up call, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them finishing the top eight at some point. so I'm taking Oregon, giving up I mean getting giving up only two and a half. I'm still taking Oregon. Even though it is in USC, but I think there's gonna be a lot of fans Greg: Sucker bet. David: over there. What'd you say? Greg: That's a sucker bet. David: That's what I do. I'm a sucker doll. You know what that sucker does? Sucker does four four and one, baby. That's what I'm talking about. I would have never known that I did four and one if Brian didn't keep up with it. We need to give kudos to Brian because he keeps up with the stats, gives us percentages. Y'all don't know what goes on behind the scenes in this text message chain. My man is a numbers machine. I love it. Greg: Well, I will I will gladly throw this out there after a six or two weekend where I was at least somewhat successful. But anybody that listens to this, let me be one hundred percent clear. B Nobles puts way more work into this than me or David do. I promise you. Like I David: Yeah, one hundred percent. Greg: I run my model and I I've got some pretty good instincts. I just kinda have been gifted to see the board sometimes, but Brian's the one that really does the work, does the analytics and knows his knows his game. David: Either there's just a lot of good teams now, but I feel like we've the the college football gods have blessed us with some hecka good matchups in these first three or four weeks. 'Cause this next one is also one of those I'm like, how am I gonna not watch this? I gotta find a way to watch this as well. Thank you to YouTube TV for multi multi picture. It's been a great thing. But number twenty three Texas A and rolls into number ten LSU. Have you seen the footage of Lane Kiffin And they're having Trinidad Chambless looking like he's Kid Rock on Joe Dirt, telling him to get out of here, nerd, go home. And then Lane Kiffin takes off fronting. AI has a purpose. It does have a purpose. Lane Kiffin sounded very defeated in that game. But this one has LSU giving up eight and a half at home in Baton Rouge. Last week, Texas AM lost to Kentucky third to one twenty one. But I'm telling you, Kentucky. Thousand Pound Sisters, folks. I'm telling you, that's my connection to them, and I'm I'm feeling Kentucky. LSU, of course, lost to Ole Miss 32 to 24 in what was just a phenomenal game. And at the end when he had picked it off and he started pointing at Lane, so beautiful. It was a win win scenario for us because if Lane loses, you're like, ha ha, Lane loses. But if he wins, the troll it was the troll game was just gonna be spectacular. We've had a heck of a good team season for football, fellas. And this is no this will continue as well. A and fell fourteen spots after losing to Kentucky, which it should have. LSU reached the old miss six yard line late, but threw an interception on fourth and goal. Lane's gonna wanna come out and put prove a point, Brian. At giving up eight and a half, you think they're gonna cover that? Brian: it's gonna be tough. I David: Mm-hmm. Brian: will say that even though they lost his troll game didn't stop because he came out and said, I guess it took me leaving for y'all to finally get an atmosphere like that in Oxford. So but anyway, David: man. They were hype. Brian: yeah. Mike Elko coming off a loss is six and one against the spread, so that eight and a half looks good on that end. Mike Elko's defense, I expect him to play a whole lot better than they played against Kentucky. But I no I don't have the faith in him for it. I expect Kiffin to be real aggressive in this game after he follows a loss. My lean on this game, I don't have official play, my lean would be to expect the AM defense to play better, and I would take the under 53 and a half in this game. But that's usually not a profitable, a profitable way to go is to bet under in a Lane Kiffin game. So I'm gonna lean, just take a lean on it. David: Well, Lane Kiffin, even though his dad was a defensive guy, he is a little bit of a offensive wizard when it comes to making some plays, so I have a way of bleeding and I'll get to me last. But on a side note, talking about the old miss, they partied apparently a little too much. Have y'all seen the latest stories about the the drugs and the people dying of fentanyl and everything? Like all over a bunch of different campuses? Like folks, go out don't be just taking random pills, folks. We've gone over this before. It's A big issue and a lot of SEC schools sadly is being affected by it, but that's another Greg: Hey, w don't worry, we when you get to be my age you just have enough surgeries that you always got good drugs around. David: That's a good point. Or manual manipulations in your case. Greg, L S U giving up eight and a half. Texas A and is gone Texas A and That's all you can say. But they got the money. They got the people. So what say you in this one? Greg: I I I at the risk of sounding too much like just an old school college football purist. The whole Texas AM approach to this shit just doesn't sit well with me. I can't buy it. I don't like it. You can't just throw money at athletes and and expect to build a team. I something in me tells me that this is just another one of those historically bad Texas AM teams that we just misjudge because of all the talent ratings. I love that sound. I love this. I David: pop the cork, baby. Greg: I I think this team quit against Kentucky. I don't think that I think there's a decent chance they hardly show up in Baton Rouge and L SU smokes them. But I don't want to lay the nine or ten points. I I think LSU gets home. I I think Brian's right on the under, but I just AM still has too much talent on the roster for me to be comfortable laying, you know, nine or ten points right now. So I I don't have an official play on this game. I lean LSU. I lean to the under like Brian said. I just I I until I see one more sneaker from A and L, then I know they've officially quit. I don't quite wanna lay, you know, almost ten points against that talented roster. David: LSU in Baton Rouge, 730. Boy, are they gonna be some hammered folks that night. They're gonna be some yellow hammer, baby. They're gonna be corn dog crazy as they like to call them. They'll be a lightning delay, as always. Greg: Probably gonna have a lightning delay. David: I that that was gonna be an electric atmosphere. As good as Ole Miss was, I think in in this one, LSU is gonna be a heck of a show. You can see that I put it, I already put the the thing on it. I took I'm not trying to follow Greg's lead, but he didn't want to take the points. I won't take the points. I think LSU's gonna cover. They're gonna get more than eight and a half. I think they're gonna win this game outright, obviously, and I think it's gonna be by a couple touchdowns or so. I just feel like Lane's gonna have something. Sh there's gonna be a trick play here or there. There's gonna be somebody come up, make something play, make something happen. But that crowd who's liable to get another they're try to back lane kiffin We're liable to get another earthquake. Richter scale. showing at this game. I think it's gonna happen. So I'm taking LSU in this one. All right, this one this is a weird game that y'all picked, but it's a it's a highly rated game. But as I mentioned earlier, Mississippi State looked pretty dang good against Old South Carolina. They put on a show. They are taking on at home number nineteen Missouri's Missouri. So we got number nineteen Missouri versus number twenty four Mississippi State. Right now I got Mississippi State giving up six and a half. This game is a seven forty five game in beautiful Stockville, Hell State, baby. Missouri beat Troy twenty seven seventeen, and Troy is not exactly a powerhouse as they used to be. Or they're not really at all. Although that's not Troy State. I'm thinking maybe I'm thinking Troy State. Greg: It used to be. David: Yeah. Mississippi State beat South Carolina, like we said, 41 34 in what turned out to be a pretty dang good game. minus six and a half, that to me that seems high. Missouri's Austin Stevens Austin Simmons was just held to ninety one yards. And it went over Troy. So if you only get ninety one yards against Troy, I don't know what you're gonna do when you're rolling into your old Starkville. That's gonna be a tough one against the Bulldogs, but I don't know. Brian, what say you? Brian: I don't see how Missouri's even ranked, to be honest with you, from what I've seen play. But they're the higher ranked team in this game. So one thing that Mississippi State's gonna be doing this y this in this game, they're having a white out and they're gonna try to set the world record for cowbells. So it's gonna be loud in that stadium with them cowbells. No way I'd be nowhere near that. There's David: I appreciate it, but I hate it. I hate that. I can't stand it. Greg: David, you David, you got any AI handy? Can you do an AI check? Is there actually a world record for cowbells? Does does that exist? David: I mean there can't be who I feel like the record should be just however many is there 'cause who keeps up with that? I don't know. That's insane. Good grief. Brian: Yeah. But that's gonna be that Greg: Yeah, we got too much cal on our hands. Brian: there's no way I'd be anywhere near that. It's gonna be allowed. I like the line when it opened at two and a half, but it's quickly went up to six and a half. I don't like it near as much at six and a half. Mississippi, they're averaging forty seven points a game. Comario Taylor's playing as good as anybody in the country. I don't like Missouri at all. I I they have not impressed me. They haven't been tested yet either, and I think they're fixing to get tested. But I didn't want to touch that that spread. I'm gonna tack the first half like I like to do. So my official play is gonna be Mississippi State team total over sixteen and a half for the first half. David: Well, you mentioned Camario Taylor. How about two fifty one for four touchdowns? I'll take that. And Greg, you are wondering, this seems like a pretty ridiculous thing to try to beat because I feel like you can beat it with just a lower bowl. Not even a lower bowl, even less. Five thousand seven hundred and forty eight people simultaneously ringing the cowbell is apparently the record right now. That is nothing. That's what I'm Greg: hell no, they've beat that every Saturday at Starkful. David: saying. How is that? I feel like that's should be beat every weekend. So Greg: I guarantee ya every every Saturday it starts well, there's at least thirty thousand. Brian: Well, they'll beat it this weekend. David: Ironically it says the it says the location is in Starkville on september tenth, twenty fifteen at a campus football pep rally. I'm with you. I feel like they beat that every weekend. Greg: There's got there's gotta some sort of legal issue but because technically they're not supposed to bring them into the stadium. So maybe therefore it can't count as a record because I don't know. let's get into what matters. David: I don't maybe they'd have anybody present. Greg: I I am a big fan of Camario Taylor. Guys, if if you've not seen this kid play, watch Camario Taylor. Dude's got all the skill set. He almost, and I hate to even draw this parallel to anybody, he almost looks like a right-handed Michael Vick to me in some ways. He moves almost that well. He throws such a pretty ball. The ball just effortly comes out of his hand. Big Mario Taylor fan. This is two three and teams that I do not think are anywhere near the same level of three and I don't know why Missouri is ranked higher than Mississippi State. The wins on the road at Columbia, the wind on the road at Minnesota, I am much more impressed with this Mississippi State team. But I I think Brian's right. That number going from two and a half or three up to almost a full touchdown now. Something tells me I don't want to grab onto it at the tail end. I I lean Mississippi State. I think they covered the touchdown. I also think it stays under. I don't think Missouri's gonna gonna have near as much success moving the ball as they they anticipate. so I I don't have an official play, but I lean state and the under. David: I think it was either you or Brian, or maybe I heard it somewhere else, but they also brought up the fact like what do you think the chances of him being in Starkville next year are? And it's probably not very good. He's gonna be mo moosy mosine on down the road somewhere else. Perhaps maybe stay in Mississippi, but maybe roll over to old Oxford, I don't know. Greg: But can we take a moment and and talk about how just absolutely terrible that is? Because can you imag like again, David: No. Greg: if if you're a Mississippi State fan, let's be real, life ain't that great to start with. David: I know. Greg: And now you got this kid who's actually exciting and fun to watch, and you're watching him this entire season with that hanging over your head of thinking, yeah, but where's he gonna go next year? Come, we David: I know. And Greg: got we gotta get this fixed. David: I think we mentioned either on here or on our own show, Greg, on the Common Sense Superheroes, that the first half of every game, especially the first couple of weeks, is them describing where he where this player was before he came here and how many times he transferred and this and that. You're like nobody's from homegrown, so to speak. Everybody came from a transfer portal or in I it's just it's ridiculous, but I I do think Missouri is a bit of a sham. I'm not a big fan of it and there's something I don't know what it is about Mississippi State. I think I mentioned last week I'm thinking of shades of Will Clark and all that good stuff that I it made me think of baseball and I got excited so but I'm still gonna stick with Mississippi State. I I why does it go from two and a half to six and a half? It even mentions it in my paperwork. Like what what is that because somebody's making plays on it or is that big deal? Greg: Money. Yes, when when Brian: La Greg: when all the money's Brian: lot of money. Greg: coming in on one side, yeah, when all the money's coming in on one side, the books keep trying to move that number 'cause the book wants action on both sides. David: Yeah, so he's trying to get everything. Brian: That's why that Florida line earlier was surprising me 'cause you got all the money coming in on one side but the line's going the opposite way. David: What's the cutoff for that? Because I I I I that makes no sense to me. The Florida miss, that makes zero sense to me. Are they able to change that? Do you once you put your bet in, does it lock it that or does it change as it Greg: Yeah. You you get you get what you bet. David: You get what you bet, okay. But it can change up until right at kickoff or Brian: I mean yeah. Greg: well and and and think about what we were talking about on that that thirty-eight number where Brian's got over thirty-seven and a half, I've got under thirty-eight and a half. There have been scenarios not to that level of tightness, but there have been scenarios where I have had a ticket on one team, you know, at at minus one and the other team at plus three and a half, and landed on that three number, and you could win two tickets. David: okay. Brian: I mean the the Cal the California Clemson game this weekend has flipped flipped over zero a couple of times. It started Clemson Greg: Mm-hmm. Brian: favored, now Cal's favorite, now Clemson's favorite, it jumping back and forth. David: Every time I wanna give up on Dabo, he just says something. I'm like, Man, he's such a good dude, but I think it's still time to go. There's no ranked teams, but it's a good tea it's a good battle we got going on. That's Vanderbilt at Auburn. And if you ever got anything you Greg: David, why are we talking about this one? David: wanna if you ever got anything you wanna try to like hey, we wanna get a little deeper insight on anything like that, you know, let us know. We'll be more than happy to do it. Comment on YouTube would be the best way to reach out to Dak 'cause we had a UGA Boy Ten. He wanted us get a special fan request and break down specifically this game taking place at Jordan Hare Stadium. I'll first off give you the stats and then I'll let the guys break it down to in depth to UGA Boy Ten so he can make his decision a little in depth. Don't listen to me, first off, UGA Boy Ten. Even though I'm four and one, don't listen to my take of it. But the game is taking place at four fifteen. It's always a weird four fifteen's a weird time. That's 315 in Auburn, right? That's just I guess that makes sense, but it's weird. Jordan Hare Stadium and out in Auburn, Alabama. Auburn giving up nine and a half. Last week, Vanderbilt beat NC State 3531. And if you listen to the recap show, they go over how ridiculous that ending actually was. That was just bananas. That is the worst, either worst coaching or worse play call. I mean, by the quarterback I've ever seen. The coach even threw his guy under bus a little bit, which is ridiculous. But they beat in the end zone thirty five thirty one. Auburn lost to Florida forty four thirty thirty nine in a slab knocker. Guys, I'll let y'all take this and break it down so you can s show UJ Boy Ten what you know. Brian, we'll start with you. What's your breakdown of this game? Brian: I'll give a pretty good breakdown since we had a request about it. first point I'll make will be it's hard to believe. I had to look at this twice and look at it a couple of different places, but Vanderbilt actually leads this series twenty-three to twenty two and one with a huge, massive talent gap. I don't know, but it's a huge David: Wow, really? Was that the Jay Cutler years? Is that what it was? Brian: talent gap over that time. But Vanderbilt does actually lead the series. They're also three and for the first time since nineteen forty seven. Even though it took a miracle that I lost on last week against N C State to get there, but hey, it happened. David: Unbelievable. Unbelievable. That how does it how do they fail that bad? There's one job to do. Don't fumble the ball. Put the damn thing. Do whatever. Brian: Run around for three seconds and throw the David: I don't care. Brian: throw the ball sixty yards down the field and be done with it. David: Take a safety. Take a safety. I don't Brian: Hey. Clark Lee's team's been pretty sloppy. I mean, that's not, you know, typical for him. They've had thir last week they had thirteen penalties for almost two hundred yards. I was impressed with the way Jared Curtis looked in his first start. He looked pretty good for a true freshman. But I expect Auburn's defensive coordinator, DJ Gherkin, to show him some exotic looks this weekend and try to confuse him. both of these teams are and three against the spread this year, so Somebody's gonna be one and four or one and three after this game. it's all gonna come down to Byron Brown and whether the Auburn offensive line can protect him. I looked at this and I tried my best to give a a play on this just because we had to think, but I could not find any edges on this. I would lean towards Vanderbilt plus the nine and a half or over the fifty-five and a half, but nothing on my models or anything gave me. to take official play on it, but my two lanes would be that. David: Nine and a half seems like a pretty big number to me. That's a scary one either way you go. Greg, are you gonna take the bait? What you gonna do with the nine and a half number? Greg: But I I I think much like Brian, I actually and I don't like I said, I don't do a lot of deep dive research, but I dug into this one pretty good because if somebody's gonna request us to to offer something, that means that they they're leaning one way or another and and we wanna give them some analytics that that may or may not support their play. I I think Auburn is a little bit overinflated at this point. I I'm I am a fan of their quarterback. I like Byron Brown, but K Brian, you'll you'll appreciate this. Byron Brown's got a lot of Kevin Jennings in him. He's he's gonna put points up, but it may not always be for his own team. I I don't trust this Auburn defense, and I don't trust Byron Brown to not turn the ball over enough to lay nine and a half. If I was playing this, I would either wait and hope that 10 pops and grab Bandy plus the 10 or just pay the extra 10 cent juice and buy it up to 10 just for a little bit more comfort zone. I I I think Auburn gets the W at home, but there's no way I would lay lay ten. I I I like Vanderbilt if it gets to ten, I probably wouldn't play it at nine and a half. I lean that way either way. I think Auburn probably buy a touchdown or less. but if if you're leaning Vanderbilt, just go ahead and buy it up to ten and make the play. David: So you don't think I'm cheating. I don't think I'm following Greg. I also put Vanderbilt. I think that's a lot of points. And as much as I will say this, I really like that coach for Auburn. I like that guy a lot. I like his mindset. I like his attitude. He's got that Russian strong man. He's just everything about it I like. I think he's gonna make a little bit of change going. He'll it's gonna be hard to get talent over there. I think that's gonna be rough, but Vanderbilt Twenty one points in the fourth quarter. Granted, seven of it was on that last play. I think that momentum that's kinda got a little like I mentioned with Florida State, when you fire your guy, that kinda pumps them up going into the next game. They're gonna try something to prove. I think with everybody talking about how fluky it was that they went one against North Carolina State, I think they're gonna wanna come out that first half with something to prove. I think they're gonna keep it close to first half. I wouldn't be surprised if Vanderbilt flat out wins the whole first half. But I think Auburn will end up winning in the end, but I think that nine and a half is a lot. So I'm taking Auburn in the or excuse me, Vanderbilt in this one. I'm taking Diego Pavio, who's why can't he come back? If Chamberlace can play nineteen years, why can't we bring Pavio back? He ain't playing nowhere, is he? Greg: I'm pretty sure it was considered when he got cut. I'm sure there David: Yes, yes. Greg: were teams that reached out. I have no doubt. David: Explain this to me. Vanderbilt you always said, Well, listen, that's Vanderbilt. They're not gonna get the talent 'cause it's gotta be a high high education to get in. They to get in gotta be so tough because you gotta be smart. They used to say the same thing about Notre Dame somewhat. How did Pavio get in? I mean we we just really don't care no more. I mean, there's no way his S C T numbers was high enough to get in to Vanderbilt. Greg: I'm pretty sure he had already graduated, so I'm not even sure there were academic requirements at that point. But he was never a student. Like he was just a he was just a quarterback. David: There is no way there is no way there is no way there's a class he passed at Vanderbilt. I pr just hearing Greg: No. David: him talk, there's no chance. Greg: Carson Beck came out and told us at a press conference that he hadn't been to a class in two years. David: Good point. Well he went to Georgia and Miami. I expect that there. But in Vanderbilt, good grief. Greg: Hey, that that is money these days, brother. Even at Bandy. David: I like it. Look, I even listen, the the variety of teams that any given weekend anybody can win. I don't know if we're gonna see I think the days of undefeated teams are gonna be coming to an end here shortly 'cause it's gonna be hard to win all your games out. There definitely won't be an undefeated SEC team. I don't think we're gonna see that again. We're gonna beat each other up too much, but but I do think I'm taking Vanderbilt on this one, so I'm gonna go with that one. So my mark it down. I went Heavy this time. I didn't I guess I didn't do too many picks last time, but I'm I got a little excited. This is what I do. I get excited, I win one, and I'm like, you know Greg: I think you're starting to build some momentum. You're getting you're getting caught up in the moment now. Brian: Yeah. David: what? I think I got this. I think I can figure it out. I think and I never can figure it out. So shout out Greg: Hey but when you get ready to sign up for that cost you account, I wanna use my leaders, I get a referral bonus. David: I got it already. I did one the other day. I did the but I usually do the weather. I think I got ten bucks at the LA weather. Greg: Did did you not listen to my PSA? I told people at the very beginning of this season, if you don't gamble, don't start. Why are you starting? Hmm. David: Too late. You got me hooked. Y'all the one y'all the one invited me on the show. You knew what you were doing. Shout out. Brian: Mm-hmm. Greg: Alright, let's get to the recap. David: Shout out to UGA Boy Ten for that. And Greg, I know you I I'm gonna put you on the spot even though I know you don't have any chance in the world that you remember your YouTube name. But shout out if you follow us on YouTube, comment on that. Greg, what is the YouTube Greg: I don't know. I think Greg Miller Seven, maybe? David: That's my point. It's Greg Miller's hashtag slash Morgan Wallins biggest fan. Love his tea. Hashtag he's so cute. Hashtag Tennessee Boy. I think that's what it is. You have to check and see. But so appreciate you reaching Greg: Probably close. David: out. If you got any comments and want us to break something down particularly, please reach out and let us know. All right. Breakdown, Greg. I mean Brian, this is your position right here, big dog. Brian: You want we going into the additional plays first or you wanna know where we're at right now? David: well Greg said breakdown. You said what do you want to do first? Greg: Go through Yeah, go ahead and go ahead and go through the recap. So just list the plays as that we've already given out along with any additional plays, just so we make sure everybody's got all the actual official plays. David: All right. Brian: All right, so right now before we do our anything extras, we got Greg at Ole Miss plus three and a half, Oklahoma at plus fourteen, Iowa, Michigan under thirty-eight and a half, USC plus three, Texas and Tennessee under fifty-five and a half, Oregon and USC over sixty one and a half, and Alabama minus twelve and a half. What I got so far is Tennessee plus one and a half for the first quarter. Old Miss team total over 26 and a half. Oklahoma team total under 7.5 for the first half. Iowa, Michigan over 37.5, Oregon money line for the first half. And Mississippi State team total over 16.5 for the first half. And David's got Tennessee plus 5.5.5. Iowa plus David: Woohoo. Brian: 5.5. Alabama minus 12.5. Oregon minus two and a half, LSU minus eight and a half, Mississippi State minus six and a half, and Vanderbilt plus nine and a half. Greg: I'm gonna have to text Brooke until her husband has a gambling problem. That's a lot of plays, brother. David: That is a lot I got excited. I told you I'd do that. I get excited I didn't go any of the first quarters, over unders. I just went straight with that. Brian: Hey, the the first game the first game and these additional plays we should talk about since we both have official play in it is the Liberty game. And how come Jamie Chadwell coming back to play his former team ain't getting the hype that Lane Kiffin got? Greg: 'cause there's better things to do in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Brian. That David: Yeah Greg: that that is the white trash capital of the East Coast, brother. David: When that when it is, by the way, it is. Remember when dang Greg: That's where Thomas and folks go on vacation. David: Eastbound and Down, Kenny Powers. Remember when he they filmed in Myrtle Beach? That was the a a Greg: Mm. David: perfect representation of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. That was awesome. Great show. Man, go such a good show. Like the Confederate Greg: I don't know, Brian. You you you got action on tomorrow night's game too? David: flag, bikini, Brian: Mm. Yeah. David: capital of the world, by the way. Greg: Much respect. David: My bad, Brian, go ahead. Brian: All right, so I guess I'll go through my additional plays real quick. on the Liberty Coastal game, you got FSU transfer running back Cam Davis on the Liberty side. I Liberty, I'm gonna take Liberty team total over twenty six and a half for the game. Let's see what else I got. Nothing on that one. Penn State, Wisconsin. I don't see how Wisconsin is going to score a whole lot on Campbell's defense. So I took Wisconsin's team total under 14 and a half of the first half. I know I said I wasn't gonna do this, but take me to FSU in Central Arkansas. But I'm not bet I David: No Brian: I'm not betting aside. I'm gonna say that Mike Norvell against his alma mater. Not gonna try to embarrass him. He's a legend at Central Arkansas 'cause he definitely ain't a legend in FSU. I'm gonna go under sixty three for the total. David: You know, before you move on, who do you know who like the biggest legend of Central Arkansas is? Brian: I don't. David: I think I'm right on I think I'm right on this. Think another s I think think another sport. Greg: I I think I think you're right. I think you're right. David: Think think best duo partner of all time one Scottie Pippen. That's who I'm thinking. Is that when he from Central Arkansas? So Greg: I think you're right, my friend. David: that and he went he's a small school, so I think you might Brian: Hey Mike David: win on this one. Brian: Mike Norvell, you know, he's got the receptions record at that school, so he Yeah, he's got that. And he's second David: No S, really? Ma Brian: he's second in yards, but he ain't David: Dang. Brian: he ain't a coach. He should just stick with wide receiver, I guess. the next one I got is Indiana Northwestern. I expect Northwestern to try to control the clock. think Indiana's gonna jump out and control the clock. This is a Friday night game. Them are notorious for going under. So give me under fifty and a half in that game. Mm-hmm. David: Before you move on, is it North wasn't that was it Colorado who was talking trash about Northwestern, talking mad ass about the stadium being rebuilt and that they just was ridiculous and then went out and got their asses stomped by Northwestern by a bunch of journalists. And I think they even Dion, I think, got rid of like two or three of the players on the team. That's how bad it was. Brian: Yeah, he got he got he got rid of two or three of and made the one that said that do a public apology in front of everybody. So Greg: It is it is almost impossible for me to fathom that a Deion Sanders led team would talk trash. Who would have guessed it? David: That's what gets me and I love Dion. I really obviously I do. But him being a coach and all these rules that he puts in like do this, do that. I'm like, bro, do you not remember who you were? You would not he tells people, Hey, don't be having your phone, we ain't worried about social media. While he's filming social media. What are we doing here? But but I thought that Brian: All right. David: was funny. Brian: The la the last official official play I got is gonna take us to Montana State birth verse the verse the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. So hey that game is actually gonna David: Man If you come back with a northern Arizona lumberjacks hoodie next week, I'm gonna be like freaking out. That's a special delivery. Brian: That game's actually that game's actually gonna be televised on ESPN two at 1030 that night. It's a big sky rivalry game. You got number one team in FCS against the number 18 team in FCS. I expect it to be a physical game, slobber knocker game type of game. Greg: They'll they'll both be in the Big Ten soon. Brian: Yeah, probably. So I'm gonna take I felt David: The big one hundred. I need to rename it. Brian: like this number was too high, so I took the under sixty-three in that game. the David: Geez, they are not expecting any defense. Good green. Brian: and then one other the last one I went back and forth on, but I didn't make official play on it. This is where we talked to our viewers last week about how the number mattered. I liked Utah when it's at six and a half. I like Utah to win the game. They're probably gonna win the game. I liked them a lot at six and a half. I don't like them as much at eight and a half, so I couldn't I couldn't cross that eight and a half threshold, so I left it alone. I would lean to them still doing it, but I didn't like that number as much as the six and a half. So that's all I got, official please. Greg: I got David: All right. Greg: I got three more to chime in on. I'm I'm in agreement with with B. Nobles on the Liberty play. I got Liberty minus three as an official play. I I like the Liberty team total as well. You could even parlay the money line, Liberty and the team total and get some get some probably positive return on that. I'm gonna I'm gonna go with my gut on this one, and I've been throwing him under the bus, but I'm gonna put my money behind Dabo on the West Coast. Give me Clemson on the money line out there at Cal. I just For as much as I don't trust this Clemson team, I just think this is a talent mismatch. I still think they're light years ahead of Cal from a roster standpoint. And I think that even with the travel and everything, I but they came back and showed me something last week, getting that W. I I I got a little profound respect for Dabo leading into the season. I I want him to finish on as high a note as possible because I think his tenure's coming. So I give me Clemson money line in that one and then I think I'm falling in love with a team like like Brian is from Montana State. I'm gonna become a Wyoming backer. Give me the Wyoming Cowboys plus three as my as my third and final play outside of the big games. David: Boy, y'all will go deep in a repertoire. Y'all will I mean when you played N C double A football on Xbox and whatnot and you hit the random team button, w you gotta hit four times to even get to where y'all play and y'all were putting some plays out there. That is quite something. I'm not gonna get caught up in the moneyline plays and all that. I will say I'm liking BYU, but I think they're probably favored against TCU, so that wouldn't be a big throw out there, but And I think Colorado's gonna probably lose to Baylor, but I think Baylor's favorite in that too, so so I don't know. I don't know where to go. I'm gonna leave this the professional stuff to y'all. Now we got you did the moneyline plays and the parlays, y'all do all that? Okay. Greg: No, that's that's what we're fixing to do. Brian, who's who who you want for your moneyline parlay piece? David: Now before you go on, if those of you if you're this far in you don't know what he's talking about, kudos to you because there's a lot of gambling talk. But I hardly know what I'm talking about. Moneyline is just flat out, right? Like win or loss. Greg: Right. No, no points involved, just you're just saying who's gonna win, but now you pay juiced on that. So like if it's a minus four and a half, instead of betting a hundred and ten to win a hundred and laying the four and a half, you just take the team to win, but now you gotta risk two hundred to win one hundred. So it's it's a riskier proposition if you give David: Jeez. Yes. Greg: up the point. David: And parlay is just multiple plays in a row. I got you. Okay. Greg: Means you're tied two together, which is why we do it. Look at you learning stuff. David: I'm getting there. I'm getting there, baby. I'll be, before you know it, I'll be stressed out and drinking all that bourbon like Brian does. Boat gambling on Florida Atlantic International and all that good stuff. So all right, Brian, go ahead. Brian: Greg, you go ahead and and pick yours 'cause I got two and I don't want to take yours if that's who it is. Greg: All right. Well, I am I am well aware of the fact that this might just be the proverbial kiss of death, but I wanted some money behind Camario Taylor this weekend. So give me Mississippi State moneyline as my piece. I I have not sold on this South Carolina team. I I said I like Missing State to cover the touchdown spread, but I didn't really want to lay the points. but give me give me Mississippi State moneyline. Comario Taylor in Starkfield with the world record for Cowbells. I I like start I like State to come out of there with a W. Brian: Like it. mine I no. Greg: Was that one of your two? David: yeah, six six thousand people would break the record. That's still a ridiculous number to me. That's so stupid. Brian: That wa that wasn't one of my that wasn't one of my two, so but I haven't hit one of these yet. So whoever I pick, y'all should probably take the points on the other side. So I'm gonna take Utah on the money line. I was down to Utah and L S U. I'm gonna take Utah. Greg: All right. All right, so for a a money line underdog be who you got to for an underdog that might have a little have a little bark to it. Brian: Give me Wyoming to beat Hawaii and Laramie. David: Okay. Laramie. Greg: I love it. Hey, Montana State and Wyoming ought to be our first two road shows. David: I mean if my man doesn't watch enough Yellowstone, he's all about it. He's like, Give me the Dutton Ranch. I'm here for it, baby. He's all around that area. He done fell in love with that area. I don't blame ya. I make s a river runs through it, baby. Watch that movie. That tell me that don't you don't want to move to Montana. That'll make it happen. Well guys Greg: All right, well, I I I will I will get back to the way I started or earlier in this episode. Now I'll get back to professing my love for Trinidad Chambliss. Give me old Miss Moneyline as an underdog. until the one weekend we play them later. I'm a Trinidad Chambliss fan. Count me as that guy gets the Heisman already unless he breaks an ankle. And I don't know if you guys know this, but I have a mild amount of disdain for the Florida Gators in that university. So there's a lot of emotional I I got some old Miss blood in my family. I can't. Stand the gators. I have a nickname for gators that I will not repeat on this show in case there are kids or women watching. but no, get I it it seems like a trap. It may be the most obvious beatdown in history. I know what Brian's telling me. All the money says it, but I get it. But I'm not I'm not missing an opportunity because if I go to bed Saturday night and I left money on the table because I could have backed Trinidad jammals as an underdog, I'll kick myself. Give me the give me old miss to win that win outright in the swamp. David: I can see that happening all day and that's what I picked. I think that's a given to me. But then again, like Brian said, there's a reason they got them big buildings out in Vegas. There's something's fishy about that. One thing for sure, with Keewan Lacey, if he's not feeling right, I think he's Chambless is gonna let it fly. I think he's gonna have some yardage. He's gonna put it up against the old Gators. And you talked about the Heisman. It's kind of bittersweet because having Kiwan Lace is gonna definitely open up the pass, but in the flip side, you're gonna let it air out a little bit more if you can't just hand it off to Kewan. And if he puts up some big numbers, things could happen. So he's definitely one of the finalists. He's gonna be there regardless. He's gonna be in New York waiting for that. I think y'all picked Greg: He will, for sure. David: earlier you who did you pick early in the season, Brian, for the Heisman? I think I listened the first show when I wasn't here. There was another guy that was here. I don't know what happened to Brian: I took Darren David: him. Brian: I took Darien Mensah, the quarterback from Miami. He's he he'll be in New York as well, so it's gonna be a close one. David: Well, he's he's liable to be there with his buddy right beside him at Malikato. So it kinda go one and one. They might sadly they might cancel each other out because you however many touchdowns he has, Tony's gonna have probably just the same amount, a close two, so that's a good one. Brian: I think I mentioned him I think I mentioned him as well when we were talking about that, but I said it's a quarterback award. But yeah, Nala Kai Nalakai David: Mm, you're right about that too. Brian: Tony, I'm that'll be the end of Norvell in a few weeks when we see them. David: Yeah. And Greg, had you pick Chambless to be Heisman then? Greg: No, I I wanted to, but I I went with CJ Carr just 'cause I feel like anything that the the voters can do to get Notre Dame some love would would get there. And trying to think about it from a from a gambling perspective and and a value proposition, I I figure CJ Carr's got a pretty good shot of at least getting to New York, which might get you a cash out option and some positive money if you don't feel like he's actually gonna win. David: Both good. I mean, like you said, Notre Dame. They'll you you you have Notre Dame on you, they're gonna find a way to get you there. No matter what. You can win. If there's gonna be a three loss team that makes playoffs, it's gonna be at Notre Dame, that's for damn sure. But that's it. Another episode of Whiskey and Winners, guys. As we said before, drink responsibly, first off. But also I even printed out some stuff and even said make sure you point out that it is for entertainment purposes only and they give me the one eight hundred gambler number. So even AI tells you don't take don't don't gamble everything away, guys. You ruin it. When you go and mess things up, it takes away the fun. I'm having fun at it, I ain't got no real money on it. But it is a fun entertainment, so don't mess it up by gambling what you can't afford. Greg: If if if you do anything other than follow up that with your cost you referral link, I'll be very disappointed. Don't gamble, but if you do, give me some of your money. David: If you wanna bet if you wanna gamble on the weather in that Los Angeles, whether or not it's gonna get over eighty two degrees today, follow me at Cauchy. You can check out my referral link on my website. So that I did actually win I think fifteen bucks on the gam on the weather in Los Angeles, which is it's weird. And I I don't understand the payout. I think I even made money on soccer and I don't know two S's about soccer. I can see where you get addicted. I can see why Brian's got the did they send you that shirt, that hoodie? They sent it 'cause all the money you put on you bet on him? Brian: I I I actually got it when me and a buddy of mine went out there this past November. I was like I told Greg, the what made me a fan was we went to a little sports bar, just stopped in there getting a hamburger, we just got off the airplane. We was watching some games. Montana State game was getting ready to come on because we were in Bozeman. They've turned every screen in the whole place into the Montana State game and I would have thought we were in the stadium. I was into it, son. I was it was awesome. David: That's wild. Is that where Croy Beerman went? Was he Montana State? Brian: I'm not sure. Maybe. David: I think I might be right. Greg: You the Falcons fan, man. David: What college did Croy Beerman go to? Let's see if I'm right on this. This is Dynamite Radio, by the way. Greg: Yeah, I'm gonna have to take away the whole smooth exit from your responsibility list. David: See it, don't even say it. Just take my word for it, I think he went there. He's got his own bit of troubles. But like we said, that's it. Another episode. Be sure to listen in next Sunday for the recap show. You might even get a ref appearance by me, 'cause I'm getting into this. Greg, anything else before we leave? Brian, anything else before we leave? Greg: I got nothing, my friend. I hope y'all are enjoying the content. We I I joke, I I do put a little bit of work into it, just not to the level that Brian does. But I said hopefully you guys are are getting some value out of this. I I'm tickled to death that we we finally had our first fan engagement. We we actually have real live people listening and paying attention. So it's good, man. Dave, I appreciate you coming on and and I know you've you've embraced the learning curve and you've made this fun and enjoyable for both of us. So Hey, it's been it's been a good ride so far. hopefully we can keep stacking chips every weekend. And the goal was sixty percent as a team by the end of the year. And if you start doing shitty, we're gonna stop counting your picks. David: Montana Grizzlies, by the way. Not Montana State, but he did go to Montana. Brian, what you want to leave us with, my man? Brian: Good luck to everybody out there. I mean, I'm sure we put some winners out there. Unfortunately, we probably put some losers out there too. But hopefully you pick the right ones. David: Alright fellas, till next time. Gamble responsibly. Peace. Greg: God bless.
