- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, are you cool cats and kittens.
- 0:15Speaker 2: It's La La Kent with Ryan with.
- 0:22Speaker 1: We have a super dope guest today. She is poised,
- 0:26Speaker 1: she is elegant, and she is a gangster when it
- 0:29Speaker 1: comes to taking the wrath of La La Kent. Her
- 0:31Speaker 1: name is Raquel, motherfucking Levice God.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I gotta tell you the reason I'm excited about having
- 0:39Speaker 3: Raquel on is the fact that you two have all
- 0:42Speaker 3: this stuff going on about whatever to going at it
- 0:46Speaker 3: or whatever whatever, and she is the sweetest human and
- 0:49Speaker 3: you have the biggest heart in the world. So I
- 0:51Speaker 3: don't understand any of this shit, but I am excited
- 0:54Speaker 3: to have her because I don't know Raquel that well.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I know we're obviously just saying hi at different things, Yeah, totally.
- 0:59Speaker 3: But I'm excited to get to know her because she's
- 1:02Speaker 3: always so nice to me, so genuine so and I'm
- 1:05Speaker 3: sure you too will talk and we'll hear that.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Part of it.
- 1:07Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm just glad you two are are talking
- 1:10Speaker 3: and friends and whatever it was, we'll we'll get into.
- 1:13Speaker 3: But I just got to tell you, Raquel, you know,
- 1:15Speaker 3: there's a lot of people on your show and a
- 1:17Speaker 3: lot of different personalities and raquel from day one, no
- 1:20Speaker 3: matter what.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Has been going on?
- 1:21Speaker 1: So sweet.
- 1:23Speaker 4: So let me ask you a question, Miss Lalla, so
- 1:28Speaker 4: soon to be, missus Lala.
- 1:31Speaker 3: We're we're in quarantine here on week three hundred. Yeah,
- 1:34Speaker 3: it's getting it's getting now. Am I right to say
- 1:38Speaker 3: that when we first got into quarantine, I had just
- 1:41Speaker 3: gotten home. So you're already a weekend?
- 1:43Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:43Speaker 3: I got home day one. I think I went in
- 1:45Speaker 3: a full depression, like what is going on? What just happened?
- 1:49Speaker 3: And you already had been in like a week right
- 1:52Speaker 3: week two, I was like bouncing off the walls, going nuts,
- 1:56Speaker 3: renting r v's, you know, going to our house in
- 1:58Speaker 3: Palm Springs, blah blah blah. You were happy as a clamp.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I saw you drawing every day. You have four hundred
- 2:04Speaker 3: coloring books here in front of us, and so you're
- 2:06Speaker 3: laughing right here. You've got lizards, you're drawing, You've got
- 2:09Speaker 3: I don't know, you've got states and countries. You were
- 2:12Speaker 3: having the time of your life. Yes, not only were
- 2:15Speaker 3: you coloring. Then we built our we extended our pickleball court, right,
- 2:19Speaker 3: and now we've been playing pickleball. That's been awesome, totally
- 2:21Speaker 3: so professional coloriss, professional pickleball player, swimmer, step mom, everything,
- 2:27Speaker 3: and you have been the best attitude. And I've been
- 2:29Speaker 3: in the like the.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Dems, and I've even PMS while in quarantine.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Okay, that was a rough four days that those four
- 2:36Speaker 3: days were off, but we made it through all that,
- 2:37Speaker 3: and you kept a great attitude totally. Yesterday yesterday, Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 3: I feel like you hit the wall.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm hitting a wall.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Yeah. Today today you can.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Only color and give myself so many facials before I
- 2:52Speaker 1: want to fucking shoot everybody.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Okay, I'm looking at you, and at least you're admitting
- 2:58Speaker 3: it because you know, you have had the most positive attitude.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Baby, I swear to you.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Every day I've been like, well, because I'm anti social.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So for me, it's like, oh, don't leave your houses,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Uh, for you, three weeks of no gym, three weeks
- 3:11Speaker 3: of not seeing any of your friends, any of your friends,
- 3:14Speaker 3: yeah takes a toll.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean all of my friends are homebodies, so
- 3:18Speaker 1: like if we don't see each other for a minute,
- 3:20Speaker 1: like at least we text and whatnot. The gym is.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Killing me, and the gym is people.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Well, the gym sets the tone for my whole day,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and I want to tell people.
- 3:29Speaker 4: People don't know this. So normally our schedule.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Is we wake up, we talked about this, we did,
- 3:33Speaker 2: we have talked.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Okay, so you don't want me to repeat it.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Well, I would prefer to talk about something different if
- 3:38Speaker 1: we've already spoken about it.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I'm a repeater though, Okay, okay, but going backwards, just
- 3:45Speaker 3: saying when you go to the gym, it is your
- 3:47Speaker 3: kind of first window of the day after your call.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yes, And I've told people a hundred times. If I
- 3:52Speaker 1: don't have a trainer, I am not working out. My
- 3:55Speaker 1: ass is getting flat. I've lost weight.
- 3:58Speaker 4: You have lost weight? Is that a thing? Because I don't.
- 4:01Speaker 4: I mean, you're skinny already.
- 4:02Speaker 1: People they're like, oh, that's great me. I want thick,
- 4:05Speaker 1: thick ass. I don't want that, and I don't want
- 4:07Speaker 1: to freaking thigh gap.
- 4:09Speaker 5: You know.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I'm trying to be thicky thick bitch over here, which
- 4:11Speaker 1: is why really? Yeah, so I squat a lot. It's
- 4:14Speaker 1: why I eat a lot. But I think it's because
- 4:17Speaker 1: Jenna works my ass out so hard that my body
- 4:20Speaker 1: is like needing fuel all the time.
- 4:23Speaker 4: I just want to preface this.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Whatever however you say you look right now, I think
- 4:27Speaker 3: you look stunning, thank you, And I think you look
- 4:29Speaker 3: people every day and that is the truth. And you
- 4:30Speaker 3: know I say that day, thank you. But what I
- 4:32Speaker 3: do want to say is we've hit this wall, both
- 4:35Speaker 3: of us. Yeah, and we're looking outside. It's pouring rain
- 4:39Speaker 3: right now, and we're just like, you know, when does
- 4:42Speaker 3: it end?
- 4:44Speaker 1: And we feel like I'm in the Walking Dead kind of.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yes, like this is our this is our base, this
- 4:50Speaker 2: is our camp.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And the kids are the walkers because they're stuck at
- 4:53Speaker 1: home all day.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Everybody's stuck, are we?
- 4:56Speaker 1: And I hear them coming up the stairs to l
- 4:58Speaker 1: l la la la, shut the door.
- 5:05Speaker 3: You know, people don't people who don't a lot of
- 5:07Speaker 3: people who listen I have kids, but people don't have kids.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Let me just tell you I love being with my children.
- 5:12Speaker 1: The people that have kids know exactly what works.
- 5:15Speaker 4: That's I'm but I'm trying to tell the people that don't.
- 5:17Speaker 3: So people who don't have children, who are young, you know,
- 5:20Speaker 3: or having our kids yet or whatever, you know, you
- 5:22Speaker 3: love your kids and you love every minute with them.
- 5:24Speaker 3: And people know I love Riley and London obsessively, and
- 5:27Speaker 3: so do you.
- 5:27Speaker 4: You. But here's the thing. When they don't go to
- 5:31Speaker 4: school and you have to try to be creative in
- 5:33Speaker 4: your home.
- 5:34Speaker 3: You can only color so much, you can only play
- 5:36Speaker 3: Jenga so much. You can only play Hide.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And seek, swim pickle, run them into.
- 5:42Speaker 2: The ground so many times.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yes, before you're run into the ground by freaking three
- 5:47Speaker 1: o'clock exactly.
- 5:48Speaker 3: But you know, so we so we face that, and
- 5:51Speaker 3: and I just think, look, I think we're halfway through
- 5:54Speaker 3: this quarantine.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I think we're on starting to head towards the other side.
- 5:57Speaker 3: I've read a lot of articles that say the curves
- 6:00Speaker 3: aren't happen, the numbers are lower than they thought.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Look, we don't know yet, but I am optimistic.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I avoid the news.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I don't know shit I know, but I'm optimistic seeing
- 6:08Speaker 3: a lot of headlines lately that seem like they're going
- 6:10Speaker 3: in the right direction.
- 6:11Speaker 4: So knock on wood, hopefully.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Will All I know is my mother has put two
- 6:15Speaker 1: baskets in the entryway, one full of masks, one full
- 6:19Speaker 1: of gloves, and another full of lyesol. And that means,
- 6:24Speaker 1: obviously we're stepping our game up. You can't come in
- 6:26Speaker 1: the house without those, and you can't leave the house
- 6:28Speaker 1: without those, so clearly is popping off.
- 6:32Speaker 4: It's popping off.
- 6:33Speaker 3: But at the same time, right now we're in a
- 6:34Speaker 3: real serious lockdown this week, and they're saying that hopefully
- 6:37Speaker 3: we'll hit our peak. But having said that, it does
- 6:41Speaker 3: make me think about, like, when this quarantine's over and
- 6:44Speaker 3: we go back to work, we go back to our
- 6:46Speaker 3: lives or whatever version the appreciation I'm gonna have for traffic,
- 6:52Speaker 3: I'm telling you, when I get in traffic to go
- 6:55Speaker 3: to the office, yeah, I'm gonna be like, thank god,
- 6:58Speaker 3: I can go to the office. So I just think
- 7:00Speaker 3: people are going to be a hope more tolerant and
- 7:04Speaker 3: appreciative of the small things in life that.
- 7:06Speaker 1: We used to take for granted, right Like I used
- 7:09Speaker 1: to sit there and be like, ugh, I have to
- 7:11Speaker 1: go to, like, you know, a meeting today. Do you
- 7:16Speaker 1: know how much money I would give to go to
- 7:17Speaker 1: a meeting instead of be like here's the zoom link.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I mean.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And by the way, you know, not only.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Are you asking me to log into something I'm technologically challenged,
- 7:27Speaker 1: but you're asking me to get ready to sit at
- 7:30Speaker 1: home in front of a computer.
- 7:31Speaker 4: It's tough.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's tough, and I'll tell you, and for you, I
- 7:34Speaker 3: got to give you a lot of credit to stay
- 7:37Speaker 3: You have stayed sober, you have done your homework with
- 7:40Speaker 3: your sponsor.
- 7:41Speaker 4: And I'm sure for a lot of.
- 7:42Speaker 3: People who fight addiction having to be quarantined, not be
- 7:46Speaker 3: able to drive to their typical weekly meeting that some
- 7:49Speaker 3: people have been.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Going twenty years.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Zoom, it's all on zoom.
- 7:52Speaker 3: But for twenty years some of these people or thirty
- 7:54Speaker 3: years have been sober going to the same weekly meeting,
- 7:56Speaker 3: the same routine. I give a lot of people a
- 7:58Speaker 3: lot of credit right now for fighting to stay sober
- 8:01Speaker 3: and staying the course, because you know, it's already tough enough.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I'm sure to stay sober, but to stay sober in
- 8:08Speaker 3: your house.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I'm really happy that you brought that up, because I
- 8:12Speaker 1: feel like everyone is, you know, so consumed with getting
- 8:16Speaker 1: sick and getting this virus and what do we do
- 8:18Speaker 1: to prevent getting it that we also have to think
- 8:23Speaker 1: about the fact that my people, my fellow alcoholics and addicts,
- 8:29Speaker 1: don't get to go to meetings that are keeping them sober. Yeah, way,
- 8:34Speaker 1: they're having to do the work on their own, calling
- 8:38Speaker 1: their sponsor, but they don't have they don't have. Most
- 8:41Speaker 1: people don't know this. Just getting in the car to
- 8:44Speaker 1: go to a meeting is keeping people sober, and they
- 8:48Speaker 1: don't have that anymore. And by the way, we have
- 8:50Speaker 1: to log onto a computer and I get it. It's like, okay,
- 8:52Speaker 1: well they still have the meeting, but it's different. It
- 8:55Speaker 1: is different. So I give so many people that have
- 8:57Speaker 1: been going to those meetings for ten twenty years that
- 9:01Speaker 1: they're still fucking fighting for their sobriety. Those are the
- 9:03Speaker 1: people that inspire me.
- 9:05Speaker 3: And I want to second that, just when I've gone
- 9:07Speaker 3: to your the meetings with you to support you, watching
- 9:10Speaker 3: the speakers and the inspiration and kind of the community
- 9:13Speaker 3: that comes around you, watching the love that you get,
- 9:16Speaker 3: you know, of being sober in the celebratory and when
- 9:18Speaker 3: I went to your one year you know, watching you
- 9:20Speaker 3: speak like that, I get it, like I get it.
- 9:24Speaker 3: And to not have that right now, for you not
- 9:26Speaker 3: to be able to just get in the car and
- 9:27Speaker 3: say I'm having a shitty two days. You know, I'm stressed,
- 9:30Speaker 3: as like everybody else in the world, I'm going to
- 9:32Speaker 3: go to my meeting and talk it out.
- 9:35Speaker 4: You can't do that.
- 9:36Speaker 1: There are people rand that have been going to the
- 9:38Speaker 1: who have been sober for like forty plus years and
- 9:41Speaker 1: they go to a meeting and you look in the
- 9:42Speaker 1: corner and they're like falling asleep, and it's like, but.
- 9:45Speaker 2: They went to the meeting.
- 9:46Speaker 1: They got in the car and they went to their meeting.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Exactly the point they went to the meeting, and it
- 9:51Speaker 3: doesn't matter. And maybe that week they were falling asleep.
- 9:53Speaker 3: In the next week they needed the meeting.
- 9:54Speaker 4: They know.
- 9:55Speaker 1: What I'm saying is that people people take out. It's like, oh,
- 9:58Speaker 1: but you can still tune in. It's like, but you
- 9:59Speaker 1: don't understand the power of getting into your car and
- 10:02Speaker 1: driving to that meeting. That's what I'm saying.
- 10:03Speaker 4: And I give you so much respect. I tell you
- 10:07Speaker 4: this all the time.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Your biggest accomplishment, and when I have gone to meetings
- 10:10Speaker 3: with you to support you, watching you just you.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Know, every time you came out of a meeting that
- 10:16Speaker 4: I was with you.
- 10:17Speaker 3: At, you were l liked, you were like floating, it
- 10:20Speaker 3: was like church exactly. So for you not to have
- 10:23Speaker 3: that and have to do it on the phone or
- 10:25Speaker 3: in zoom. Look, I've been doing meetings or meetups with
- 10:28Speaker 3: my friends.
- 10:29Speaker 2: You know that kind of stuff on the zoom. Yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 2: it's not the same.
- 10:32Speaker 4: It's not the same.
- 10:33Speaker 3: It's it's good, it's something, it's better than nothing, but
- 10:36Speaker 3: it's not the same. And I that one meeting we
- 10:39Speaker 3: went to with that amazing speaker, the place down by
- 10:44Speaker 3: the four or five whatever, It was an amazing speaker
- 10:46Speaker 3: and we were both like amazing, blown away. You know,
- 10:49Speaker 3: you can't get that same thing unless you're sitting twenty
- 10:52Speaker 3: feet from the person. So allalla to you and everybody
- 10:55Speaker 3: out there, who's who's you know staying sober. I give
- 10:59Speaker 3: all of you such amazing respect because you know, I
- 11:03Speaker 3: know I need.
- 11:03Speaker 4: To drink even more during these times, so I.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Should, I give you that's funny. But I just take
- 11:07Speaker 1: more baths instead of four, damn taking like six. So
- 11:10Speaker 1: if there's a drought problem, I'm single handedly responsible for it.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Okay, Well I'm fine with that.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Well, I want to say I am excited about our
- 11:20Speaker 3: next guest.
- 11:21Speaker 4: I am excited that you.
- 11:23Speaker 3: And her are on such a good path, and I
- 11:25Speaker 3: think that I'm excited to get to know a lot
- 11:27Speaker 3: about her. So I think we should. You should introduce
- 11:31Speaker 3: her because obviously you know her better than me.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, let's take a short break and then we are
- 11:36Speaker 1: back with the stunning Raquel Levis, and we are back
- 11:45Speaker 1: with the guest that I have been really excited about.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I know we've had some rocky times, but she she
- 11:55Speaker 1: was like really open to being on our podcast. We
- 11:58Speaker 1: have the beautiful Raquel Levin.
- 12:01Speaker 6: Yes, Hello, Hey, Raquelala, Raquel I am I got to say,
- 12:08Speaker 6: got to say you are awesome and and just so
- 12:12Speaker 6: cool to just come on here.
- 12:14Speaker 3: And and I know that you and Laala had some
- 12:17Speaker 3: vander Pomp drama, but you know what, that's behind us.
- 12:20Speaker 3: And I just want people to get to know you,
- 12:23Speaker 3: because you know, I don't know you that well, but
- 12:26Speaker 3: I know you know James obviously for a long time now.
- 12:28Speaker 3: And I just think that I can't tell you how
- 12:31Speaker 3: excited I am for you to be here and for
- 12:34Speaker 3: me and everybody to kind of get to know a
- 12:36Speaker 3: lot more about you.
- 12:37Speaker 4: So I just want to thank you, amazing.
- 12:39Speaker 7: Thank you. No, I'm excited to be here talking to
- 12:42Speaker 7: you guys too.
- 12:44Speaker 1: So you said earlier, like you get you get nervous,
- 12:48Speaker 1: you know, doing podcasts, and you you know last year
- 12:51Speaker 1: during the reunion, you have told us that you struggle
- 12:55Speaker 1: or have struggled with anxiety and things like that. What
- 12:59Speaker 1: is it like for you you coming on you know
- 13:01Speaker 1: you you met James and then you just like became
- 13:06Speaker 1: a personality on reality TV? Like what was your mindset?
- 13:10Speaker 5: I don't know if i'd call myself a personality. I
- 13:15Speaker 5: know you're definitely a person.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Well, I will say no, no, no, I will say, Raquel,
- 13:21Speaker 1: this season watching you has been pretty epic. You've gone toes.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I've already told you this when we've had our phone conversations,
- 13:30Speaker 1: Like you handle yourself with Grayson Poise. I wish I
- 13:32Speaker 1: could do that. Unfortunately I'm cut from a very dingy cloth.
- 13:36Speaker 1: But you know, we let that, We've just let it go.
- 13:40Speaker 1: But what is it What is it like for you
- 13:42Speaker 1: to like watch yourself on TV when you you know
- 13:44Speaker 1: you were a model or are a model, like when
- 13:47Speaker 1: you film what is your mindset?
- 13:50Speaker 5: It's really weird watching myself on TV. I don't particularly
- 13:55Speaker 5: enjoy it.
- 13:57Speaker 2: That makes two of us for Keul trust me, two
- 13:59Speaker 2: of them.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 7: I was like, oh my gosh, is that what I'm
- 14:03Speaker 7: really sound like?
- 14:04Speaker 5: And like like what am I doing right now with
- 14:07Speaker 5: my face?
- 14:08Speaker 7: And I guess it makes you.
- 14:10Speaker 5: More aware of you know, your gestures or anything. But
- 14:17Speaker 5: filmy in general is definitely an anxiety induced time, because
- 14:25Speaker 5: I do get anxious and nervous just about talking in general.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Growing up, I in class, I like was always the
- 14:35Speaker 5: quiet one, always oh wow.
- 14:38Speaker 7: The teacher's pat oh wow, like Faull.
- 14:43Speaker 5: That's obviously not surprising, but.
- 14:48Speaker 7: I would never speak up. I would never speak up
- 14:51Speaker 7: in class.
- 14:52Speaker 5: I was always so scared too, because I never thought
- 14:56Speaker 5: that I had the right answer. And it wasn't until
- 14:58Speaker 5: I went to college that things started clicking for me.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Wait, can you do me a favor, Kaul?
- 15:04Speaker 3: Can you take me back just so I understand you
- 15:07Speaker 3: grew up in northern California?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Is that correct?
- 15:10Speaker 5: No, I actually grew up in Thousand Oaks, which is
- 15:12Speaker 5: oh here.
- 15:13Speaker 3: It's in la oh yeah, And just just give me
- 15:17Speaker 3: a snippet of like you started modeling pageant, how did
- 15:21Speaker 3: it kind of all begin for you? Because you know,
- 15:23Speaker 3: you say you were this quiet kid, but I mean
- 15:25Speaker 3: obviously you had a lot of ambition. So tell me
- 15:28Speaker 3: kind of how, Yeah, tell me how that all came
- 15:30Speaker 3: together and then how it led you to kind of vanderpomp.
- 15:34Speaker 5: I was very ambitious because I was so nervous about talking,
- 15:38Speaker 5: but I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone.
- 15:42Speaker 7: So that's what drew me into pageantry.
- 15:45Speaker 5: Okay, I was always scared to like talk in front
- 15:49Speaker 5: of other people, So going in and being judged in
- 15:54Speaker 5: a person person interview and being on stage in a
- 15:58Speaker 5: swimsuit and eat gown, that really pushed me outside of
- 16:03Speaker 5: my comfort zone.
- 16:04Speaker 7: And when I was able to, you know, help myself
- 16:09Speaker 7: grow in those ways.
- 16:10Speaker 4: And let me let me ask a question.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I've seen these TV shows right which I'm sure you
- 16:15Speaker 3: have where they show pageants are them? Was your mom
- 16:18Speaker 3: like a pageant mom stage one?
- 16:20Speaker 2: Is it like that?
- 16:21Speaker 3: Or I mean, have you seen other moms like that
- 16:23Speaker 3: when you were coming up in it? Because I find
- 16:25Speaker 3: it fascinating and it's got to be a very surreal experience,
- 16:29Speaker 3: like just you know, being on stage at a young
- 16:31Speaker 3: age and having to talk and do all these different things.
- 16:35Speaker 2: There is there drama in that world that you saw or.
- 16:38Speaker 4: You were shield you know, shielded from that.
- 16:40Speaker 7: No.
- 16:40Speaker 5: No, I didn't start competing on pageants until later, like
- 16:45Speaker 5: when I was a teenager. They were like sixteen, so
- 16:48Speaker 5: I never experienced the toddlers and tiaras in person. But
- 16:53Speaker 5: I can tell you from my experience, it's nothing like that.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Okay, okay.
- 16:58Speaker 3: And then and then so you start to do pageants
- 17:00Speaker 3: in your teenage years. Obviously you're modeling as well, and
- 17:04Speaker 3: you're going through this, and you're going through your education.
- 17:07Speaker 3: You're going through your education, and then what happened? So
- 17:10Speaker 3: then where where does that take you to? You decide
- 17:13Speaker 3: you want to go to college. Obviously get a degree,
- 17:15Speaker 3: which I understand I got one as well, But at
- 17:17Speaker 3: that point do you continue them just you know, kind
- 17:20Speaker 3: of take me through that last part into Los Angeles
- 17:24Speaker 3: and how you mentioned this because I'm intrigued.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I'm very intrigued.
- 17:27Speaker 5: So when I competed for Miss Hollywood, one of the
- 17:30Speaker 5: judges wanted to sign me because she had a modeling agency.
- 17:34Speaker 5: So that was my little gateway into the modeling world
- 17:38Speaker 5: as little teenager. For call, it was really fun. And
- 17:43Speaker 5: then I decided to go to Sonoma State University and
- 17:48Speaker 5: get my degree in kinesiology. Oh wow, and I would
- 17:52Speaker 5: love to work with kids with special needs in the
- 17:54Speaker 5: near future.
- 17:55Speaker 4: But that did you know that?
- 17:56Speaker 5: Law?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Oh you did, dude. That's amazing. That is I had
- 18:00Speaker 3: no idea. That is very So that's why I love it.
- 18:03Speaker 1: She has a very sweetheart.
- 18:04Speaker 3: But that's why I love podcasts because I would have
- 18:06Speaker 3: never known this. And now we're kel, I like, have
- 18:08Speaker 3: a whole different like. I mean, I always liked you,
- 18:10Speaker 3: and you and I've always been totally respectful to each other.
- 18:13Speaker 3: But knowing that you want to work with kids with
- 18:14Speaker 3: special needs, I mean, that tells a lot about somebody.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I mean, that is it's a real yeah. Okay, so
- 18:20Speaker 4: so you study that. And then.
- 18:23Speaker 5: And I was modeling for a bootique called La Lux
- 18:28Speaker 5: while I was in school, So I was doing photoshoots
- 18:32Speaker 5: with them once a week and not kept my modeling
- 18:35Speaker 5: career going right for the time being. And then I
- 18:40Speaker 5: guess two years ago is when I moved down to
- 18:43Speaker 5: la and James and I have our own place here.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Okay, wait tell me now, hold on, because this is
- 18:48Speaker 2: the exciting part.
- 18:49Speaker 5: I know.
- 18:49Speaker 3: This is because Qul, whether you like it or not,
- 18:52Speaker 3: you have a ton of fans. I know Laala does,
- 18:55Speaker 3: and James I have two or three, my mother, my dad,
- 18:58Speaker 3: and my sister. But let me, so, how do you
- 19:01Speaker 3: even meet James? Because I don't know that story at all.
- 19:04Speaker 2: How does that a good story?
- 19:05Speaker 4: No?
- 19:05Speaker 1: Randall's never heard Kell. You have to tell him.
- 19:08Speaker 7: It's it's like a perfect fairy tale.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I love it.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me.
- 19:13Speaker 3: It didn't invote wait one sec Forkel, it didn't involve
- 19:16Speaker 3: range Rovers, right, just just kidding, just kidding, that's my.
- 19:21Speaker 7: Story, unfortunately range Rovers.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Okay, tell me tell me how you guys met. That's
- 19:27Speaker 3: really cool.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Okay.
- 19:28Speaker 5: So my sister Kate invited me out to New Year's
- 19:33Speaker 5: Eve with her super last minute. I had no plans,
- 19:37Speaker 5: but I had my sorority sister with me. So we
- 19:39Speaker 5: went out and we went to Pump. We had dinner
- 19:43Speaker 5: reservations at Pump and James was DJ and I was
- 19:47Speaker 5: sat at table number seven, which is right by the
- 19:50Speaker 5: DJ booth.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Oh that's great that I love that you remember the
- 19:54Speaker 1: table number. I know that is okay, so I love
- 19:56Speaker 1: my story already DJ booth.
- 19:58Speaker 5: And I thought he was so cute and I had
- 20:02Speaker 5: gotten out of a relationship recently at that time, and
- 20:06Speaker 5: James was like the only guy that I thought was
- 20:09Speaker 5: really attractive.
- 20:10Speaker 7: So I go over there and I song requested Beyonce.
- 20:14Speaker 5: Of course he's like, well, I don't normally take song
- 20:18Speaker 5: request but for you, I will oh I love this.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I love this story.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I'm such a romantic.
- 20:24Speaker 4: This is awesome.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Yes, And that was the first time I heard his
- 20:27Speaker 5: British accent.
- 20:30Speaker 7: You die the first.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Time and I was like, oh my god like and
- 20:35Speaker 5: for a moment I thought he was shaking his accent
- 20:38Speaker 5: because it was so so strong. It caught to like
- 20:42Speaker 5: a point that it was like such a thick British accent.
- 20:45Speaker 5: But now looking back on it, I was looking back
- 20:48Speaker 5: on it, I've noticed that James will amp up his
- 20:52Speaker 5: British accent according to.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Second wait, according to who he's talking to.
- 20:59Speaker 2: He was out there, Raquel, meaning if he liked.
- 21:02Speaker 7: You, he was into it. I know he's.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Oh, James's got swagger, swag.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I mean I already know James has got swagger, but
- 21:10Speaker 3: knowing this when he saw you, he went from like, oh,
- 21:14Speaker 3: I could be in America to hal.
- 21:17Speaker 1: He's definitely never like American. He's like true blue British boy.
- 21:22Speaker 1: So funny that he like amped it up for a
- 21:25Speaker 1: cal right.
- 21:25Speaker 3: That's but I think that's a door. So after he
- 21:28Speaker 3: puts plays a song, what happens next?
- 21:31Speaker 5: Okay, so the countdown, the midnight countdown, New Year's Deep
- 21:37Speaker 5: countdown and so he's like announcing it on the mic
- 21:40Speaker 5: and I'm like dancing by him, and then he pulls
- 21:43Speaker 5: me over and we kissed that midnight.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Oh this is the greatest story, like Cinderella. This is
- 21:49Speaker 2: pretty dum, I know, cute.
- 21:52Speaker 5: So then he invited my thrity sister Mandy and I
- 21:58Speaker 5: to this place us djaying afterwards.
- 22:02Speaker 7: I was like, hell yeah, hell.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Yeah, let's go.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Mandy, like be my wing woman. Let's go.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Mandy is is definitely going to be your maid of
- 22:10Speaker 3: honor and she has.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Sure she will definitely be a bridesmaid.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Love love that.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Okay, let me wait, let me ask, let me ask
- 22:19Speaker 3: another two questions. So, first of all, after just getting
- 22:23Speaker 3: to know you more here, you and I have a
- 22:26Speaker 3: bond on how we met our significant others because I,
- 22:30Speaker 3: as you know, met Laala for the first time when
- 22:33Speaker 3: she was manning the hostess stand when I had a
- 22:36Speaker 3: Christmas Well.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Okay, womaning of course I have to.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Be sir, yes, so I I met Laala at sir
- 22:44Speaker 3: the same What's.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I know that those those places that Lisa Vanner Pump
- 22:51Speaker 1: owns are just like the they told a lot of
- 22:54Speaker 1: love that.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Is insane.
- 22:58Speaker 7: I love that I.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Had no I had no idea. I love this story
- 23:03Speaker 3: about you and James. I had no idea.
- 23:04Speaker 1: But once you once you you you didn't follow him.
- 23:07Speaker 1: But once he invited you to the after party, you
- 23:10Speaker 1: went there and what happened? Yes, did you let him
- 23:13Speaker 1: hit it the first night? Raquel Levis, you're a lady.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, if.
- 23:19Speaker 7: You're asking me this, because.
- 23:20Speaker 5: No one's asked me straight up that way, no one's
- 23:23Speaker 5: asked me.
- 23:25Speaker 7: And the answer is, yeah, it was.
- 23:31Speaker 2: A one night Dan.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Yes, that's my girl.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Raquel, say something.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I gotta say something. You know, Lala was the same.
- 23:39Speaker 3: She was the same, And I will say, look at
- 23:42Speaker 3: us now, and look at you and him now.
- 23:44Speaker 2: So there we go.
- 23:46Speaker 1: See, I always tell people, I'm like, you know what,
- 23:48Speaker 1: I don't think that that that like holding off the cookie,
- 23:52Speaker 1: really applies at all times. No, it's a it is. Okay,
- 23:58Speaker 1: So then you go, you're at Sonoma at this point, right,
- 24:02Speaker 1: like you just came in for were you at home?
- 24:05Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:05Speaker 1: For like Christmas?
- 24:06Speaker 7: Yeah, at this point. At this point, it was my
- 24:09Speaker 7: third year in college.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Okay, So I was at Sonoma State in northern California.
- 24:14Speaker 5: So it ended up being that James wanted to continue
- 24:18Speaker 5: dating me and he was down to do long distance.
- 24:22Speaker 5: So the first date that we had when he came
- 24:26Speaker 5: up to visit me, we went mind tasting, because that's
- 24:29Speaker 5: what we do in of course, we keep a classy
- 24:34Speaker 5: We go barrel tasting.
- 24:37Speaker 4: This is amazing.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Then we get a party bus. So we got a
- 24:40Speaker 5: party bus and we went out there to all the
- 24:43Speaker 5: different wineries.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Oh, this is as romantic as I really had. I
- 24:47Speaker 3: swear to you, law I had no idea that. I mean,
- 24:50Speaker 3: this is a great fairy tale.
- 24:51Speaker 2: It is, it really is.
- 24:52Speaker 1: And then, so how long had you guys been together
- 24:55Speaker 1: when you made your first appearance on vander pump Roules.
- 24:59Speaker 5: It must have been maybe five months because we met
- 25:04Speaker 5: the first of January, and then we started filming that summer.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that was that's quick. Raquel and I
- 25:12Speaker 1: want to I'm really gonna like pick your brain. We're
- 25:14Speaker 1: going to take a short break and we will be
- 25:17Speaker 1: back in a hot second with a beautiful Raquel Levis.
- 25:25Speaker 1: And we are back with Raquel Levis. How you doing, boo,
- 25:31Speaker 1: You're still hanging in there with us?
- 25:33Speaker 8: I am all.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Right, So I am excited that we just heard an
- 25:38Speaker 3: incredible fairy tale which I had no clue. Raquel and
- 25:41Speaker 3: I are bonded because we both met our significant others
- 25:43Speaker 3: at sir.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Now she met him at pump you both okay, it
- 25:50Speaker 1: was about a block away.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Okay, so I at least get that.
- 25:54Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Now the question I have for Raquel is everybody shacked up,
- 25:59Speaker 3: everybody walking down the aisle.
- 26:01Speaker 2: It's like the cool thing of twenty twenty.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Oh my god, we're asking her about marriage. Now, we're
- 26:05Speaker 1: asking if she wants.
- 26:07Speaker 3: No, I didn't ask anything about the hitting on the
- 26:10Speaker 3: first right, I'm the romantic one is related? No, by
- 26:14Speaker 3: the way, is if you guys haven't discussed it? But
- 26:16Speaker 3: is there any intention soon? Do you guys see that
- 26:20Speaker 3: happening in the future. Has there been talks or is
- 26:23Speaker 3: it just your You're just gonna wait to the right moment.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I definitely see that in the future. For us,
- 26:29Speaker 5: we are. We're not in a rush. I keep telling
- 26:32Speaker 5: him I'm not in.
- 26:33Speaker 7: A rush because I still feel.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Like I'm really young and I don't know I'm how
- 26:39Speaker 1: old are you Quale twenty five?
- 26:41Speaker 7: I'm twenty five?
- 26:42Speaker 4: Oh wow?
- 26:43Speaker 2: Also, you're not you have twenty of times and James.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Hold is James, he's young too. How old?
- 26:47Speaker 1: I think he's only twenty seven twenty oh, you guys
- 26:49Speaker 1: are like twenty eight twenty oh, you guys got if
- 26:53Speaker 1: no rung. I will say this though, I know there
- 26:55Speaker 1: have been moments that James and I are in the
- 26:58Speaker 1: studio and that's definitely his buobo. You know, Raquel is
- 27:04Speaker 1: the one, so that'll definitely listen to me. I'm answering
- 27:07Speaker 1: the question for you Quel, I'm like, oh, though, for sure.
- 27:11Speaker 3: I like Raquel's attitude, like like it's just say it's
- 27:14Speaker 3: going to happen. I know it's going to happen, and
- 27:16Speaker 3: it's gonna happen when we're both LIFs.
- 27:18Speaker 1: How it works.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You, on the other hand, what my pressure pressure?
- 27:24Speaker 5: Oh?
- 27:24Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I us you you said this ship's going down by
- 27:29Speaker 3: the end of this year or you're going out. It
- 27:31Speaker 3: was pretty much like that. But wow, you don't remember
- 27:33Speaker 3: that you got amnesia?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Yeah, well that was probably one of my in my
- 27:37Speaker 1: drunken store. Okay, so Raquel, let's talk about we have
- 27:45Speaker 1: had two seasons together that have been rocky.
- 27:49Speaker 7: Little rocky.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Yeah, Royd absolutely, and for you know, you and I
- 27:56Speaker 1: have had conversations off camera, off podcasts where you know, we've,
- 28:02Speaker 1: in my opinion, have come a very long way. Yeah,
- 28:05Speaker 1: and this season we had our coffee date, which I
- 28:09Speaker 1: know that we both felt was for me it was
- 28:13Speaker 1: a highlight.
- 28:14Speaker 5: But I loved filming that scene with you. That was
- 28:17Speaker 5: one of my highlights of these because we got to
- 28:21Speaker 5: speak on such like like real and civilized and like
- 28:26Speaker 5: nice level where like we were hearing each other and
- 28:31Speaker 5: and I just got to talk to you about my
- 28:33Speaker 5: experience with James's steps to so variety, and I feel
- 28:39Speaker 5: like we were able to really like relate in a way.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Absolutely, I felt like we related in that moment too.
- 28:47Speaker 1: And I have to ask, because I am obviously a
- 28:51Speaker 1: hotthead you have been on the receiving end, how in
- 28:55Speaker 1: the world do you maintain being so calm and poised
- 29:00Speaker 1: during attack? Like, what the hell did your mom teach
- 29:04Speaker 1: you to be like that?
- 29:05Speaker 7: No?
- 29:06Speaker 5: No, I don't know, I just born that way.
- 29:11Speaker 3: That's amazing, Raquel, Raquel, I give it to you mad
- 29:15Speaker 3: credit and mad props because I am on the receiving
- 29:18Speaker 3: end sometimes of my fiance's frustrations. I like, I use
- 29:22Speaker 3: the word frustrations, but uh right, And I'm pretty.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Level headed, babe, don't you think.
- 29:27Speaker 3: I mean, I'm pretty yeah, Oh, you're pretty normal. But
- 29:30Speaker 3: I think I think, uh, you know, you're not marroring Lalla.
- 29:34Speaker 3: So the fact that you can be calm is mad
- 29:37Speaker 3: props to you.
- 29:38Speaker 1: No, I really think it's amazing. Do you like when
- 29:41Speaker 1: you go into filming? I know I asked you this,
- 29:43Speaker 1: but like cause you don't know what to expect and
- 29:45Speaker 1: you're so like normal and level headed, Like what is
- 29:48Speaker 1: your process of being Like Okay, I know I got
- 29:52Speaker 1: into it with La La or whatever, like going into
- 29:55Speaker 1: a scene, Like, how do you maintain that? I mean,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I'm asking you for advice.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Here, I knew that Ike Raquel, I'm going to shut
- 30:03Speaker 3: up right after this, I knew where she was going
- 30:05Speaker 3: with Raquel. She was basically had to hit it on
- 30:08Speaker 3: the head. She wants you to help her, Raquel, give
- 30:10Speaker 3: her advice?
- 30:11Speaker 2: How does she remain calm? Please?
- 30:14Speaker 5: I wish I had an easy answer for you, But
- 30:19Speaker 5: all I can say is every time I.
- 30:21Speaker 7: Go into scene filming.
- 30:24Speaker 5: I try to just like be really happy going into
- 30:28Speaker 5: it and like, I don't know, try to enjoy the
- 30:31Speaker 5: moment because it's in those moments where I grow personally
- 30:38Speaker 5: and the sense that I get super anxious when we
- 30:41Speaker 5: do film.
- 30:42Speaker 7: And we're in.
- 30:44Speaker 5: Positions that aren't the easiest and I'm very non confrontational.
- 30:50Speaker 4: So right, So that's just your DNA.
- 30:52Speaker 3: It's basically it's your DNA the way, yeah, the way,
- 30:55Speaker 3: the way, the way that you function day to day.
- 30:57Speaker 2: You don't sister like that?
- 30:59Speaker 1: Is your sister like calm too?
- 31:01Speaker 2: No, No, she's not.
- 31:06Speaker 7: We're very opposite.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I love it. Have you Have you
- 31:10Speaker 1: ever battled with her?
- 31:11Speaker 5: No, we're our age gap is too much but six
- 31:16Speaker 5: years apart, so we never like battled it out like that.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Okay, but you're like more of the calm child and
- 31:23Speaker 1: your sister's more of the one that's like just a killer,
- 31:27Speaker 1: not a killer, but you know what I mean with
- 31:29Speaker 1: a fighting Yeah, okay, I totally get it. Wow. I
- 31:33Speaker 1: mean I have told you this many times, and before
- 31:37Speaker 1: we sign off, I'm going to tell you again.
- 31:40Speaker 2: You have been.
- 31:41Speaker 1: You've made an extremely you know, hard, life changing moment
- 31:47Speaker 1: like coming onto this show. I know that it's not easy,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and from the bottom of my heart, I am sorry
- 31:53Speaker 1: that you've been on the receiving end. Of my wrath.
- 31:56Speaker 1: It will not happen again. And I want to tell you,
- 31:58Speaker 1: not only were you cool, calm and collected, you are
- 32:01Speaker 1: so fucking fun to watch this season. Raquel.
- 32:04Speaker 4: You need to know.
- 32:05Speaker 3: That all this is so I mean this, I want
- 32:08Speaker 3: to out if we weren't quarantine, if we weren't in quarantine,
- 32:12Speaker 3: I would hug it out with both of you right now.
- 32:14Speaker 4: This is really sweet.
- 32:15Speaker 3: I mean, that's and I and I love Raquel, that
- 32:18Speaker 3: you shared your story because it really is a beautiful story.
- 32:21Speaker 3: And I think sometimes we don't just like you know, Lala,
- 32:24Speaker 3: and I like, people don't get to see all of us,
- 32:27Speaker 3: and I think just like people don't get to see
- 32:29Speaker 3: all of you and James and hearing kind of how
- 32:31Speaker 3: you came together and the love that you have and
- 32:33Speaker 3: you're you know, you got pushed into this world like
- 32:35Speaker 3: I did, and it's not an easy world to be in.
- 32:38Speaker 4: And I give you a lot of a lot of
- 32:40Speaker 4: respect for that.
- 32:41Speaker 7: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 32:43Speaker 1: We are so happy that you that you gave us
- 32:45Speaker 1: some of your quarantine time. And I hope that you
- 32:48Speaker 1: go and enjoy the rest of your day, my love.
- 32:51Speaker 7: Yes, thank you, you too.
- 32:53Speaker 2: You guys thank you.
- 32:54Speaker 4: You were so fun to have on and we appreciate it.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Yes, bye baby, Okay, Wow, I have to say, like,
- 33:02Speaker 1: there have been many moments and I'm not gonna get
- 33:05Speaker 1: choked up about this. I'm sure it's because I'm like
- 33:08Speaker 1: stuck in this.
- 33:09Speaker 4: House bouncing off the wall.
- 33:10Speaker 1: But you know, filming a reality TV show is a
- 33:15Speaker 1: lot of work. It's a lot of pressure. You're asked
- 33:18Speaker 1: to be surrounded by people that you don't always click
- 33:22Speaker 1: with or see eye to eye, and you know, most
- 33:26Speaker 1: times people want to slam you for the way that
- 33:28Speaker 1: you've treated somebody, and absolutely I did not treat her correctly.
- 33:32Speaker 1: But people also have to understand that we don't get
- 33:34Speaker 1: one minute to sit back and reflect on what's happened
- 33:38Speaker 1: or think about what's been said. We are thrown into
- 33:42Speaker 1: positions where you know, you either are a fighter like me,
- 33:46Speaker 1: or you're very cool and calm like Raquel, And I
- 33:49Speaker 1: respect that, but I think you know, the making up
- 33:54Speaker 1: of my cast members, when we can see eye to
- 33:56Speaker 1: eye and show love because we're in this together, that
- 33:59Speaker 1: is the most beautiful moment.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Well, I'm sitting here looking at you with tears in
- 34:04Speaker 4: your eyes and makes me happy. Because I know you know,
- 34:08Speaker 4: and not to get into too much, but I know
- 34:10Speaker 4: that you have been very affected by just this thing
- 34:14Speaker 4: with Raquel that happened on the show.
- 34:16Speaker 1: And you don't have anybody that like who I think
- 34:20Speaker 1: should get the wrath of whatever I'm feeling. She is
- 34:24Speaker 1: so not the one I know, Bob, I feel really
- 34:27Speaker 1: bad about that.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Well, I love you, and I know that in your
- 34:30Speaker 3: heart you're the sweetest human in the world.
- 34:31Speaker 1: And I know that Raquel, I'm definitely not the sweetest
- 34:34Speaker 1: human in the world.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Well, you're the sweetest human to me. Well, I think, okay,
- 34:38Speaker 4: but what I want.
- 34:38Speaker 1: And I'm really grateful that she came on the podcast
- 34:41Speaker 1: that was amazing, like her talking about how she met
- 34:43Speaker 1: James amazing.
- 34:44Speaker 3: And by the way, what I'm trying to say is
- 34:46Speaker 3: this that you are the sweetest inside.
- 34:49Speaker 4: That's who you are.
- 34:50Speaker 3: And I think that you're put in a situation that
- 34:53Speaker 3: you know, you're on a show where you guys are
- 34:55Speaker 3: together every day for months and months and months and
- 34:57Speaker 3: months and months, and people explode.
- 35:01Speaker 4: And I think the fact, let me say this, the
- 35:03Speaker 4: fact that.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Today you can sit here and admit you know your
- 35:09Speaker 3: your faults, right, that's.
- 35:11Speaker 4: You know how big of that that.
- 35:13Speaker 3: That takes a lot of courage, just like it took
- 35:15Speaker 3: her a lot of courage to be able to come
- 35:16Speaker 3: on the podcast and say, hey, we are okay, we
- 35:19Speaker 3: are friends. Now we did bury the hatchet. And I
- 35:21Speaker 3: want to tell you that you deserve the same amount
- 35:24Speaker 3: of credit because you don't give yourself any credit ever.
- 35:26Speaker 3: And I'm looking at you and I know you still
- 35:28Speaker 3: probably won't give yourself credit. But Lala, it takes a
- 35:30Speaker 3: lot to apologize.
- 35:31Speaker 1: There's just step up and say there's something that I
- 35:34Speaker 1: The part that I need to work on is when
- 35:37Speaker 1: I went off on Raquel the two times this season,
- 35:43Speaker 1: what she was saying, I felt that I was the
- 35:46Speaker 1: things that I cared about were an attack. Even last year,
- 35:49Speaker 1: I felt that she was attacking my dad, and I
- 35:51Speaker 1: needed to take a step back and be like, she's
- 35:53Speaker 1: not meaning this in an ill way. Correct, she's not you,
- 35:57Speaker 1: but you also instead I and I was like, I'm
- 36:02Speaker 1: ready to fight. And I should know by now the
- 36:05Speaker 1: difference when someone's trying to be evil and mean and
- 36:09Speaker 1: when someone is saying something where I'm taking it the
- 36:11Speaker 1: wrong way.
- 36:12Speaker 3: And I want to say, again, it's huge of you
- 36:16Speaker 3: to be able to apologize say you were in the
- 36:18Speaker 3: wrong at the same time, and I'm not I mean,
- 36:21Speaker 3: I am your partner, but I'm also going to be honest.
- 36:23Speaker 3: You were in a really, really difficult place the last year,
- 36:27Speaker 3: losing your dad. You were I mean, you were in
- 36:30Speaker 3: a spiral. So I mean, I'm not justifying anything. I'm
- 36:34Speaker 3: just saying you weren't in your right head because you'd
- 36:37Speaker 3: lost your dad. So now today I look at you,
- 36:40Speaker 3: and I see a different woman sitting here saying, you
- 36:43Speaker 3: know what, Sorry, I didn't mean to come at you
- 36:46Speaker 3: that way. You didn't deserve that. And look at you too.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Now now you guys are friends and you guys talk,
- 36:52Speaker 3: and she trusted to come on our podcast, which is
- 36:55Speaker 3: huge of her, and it's huge of you to be
- 36:58Speaker 3: able to want her to come on this podcast. I
- 37:00Speaker 3: just think if we weren't in quarantine right now, we'd
- 37:02Speaker 3: all be at dinner.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Yeah, that's my stay, And I want to say one
- 37:04Speaker 1: more thing before we sign off. Most people that know
- 37:07Speaker 1: me know I know that I have negative comments in
- 37:12Speaker 1: my DMS. I know that I have negative comments in
- 37:14Speaker 1: the comments section, which is why I avoid reading them,
- 37:17Speaker 1: because it affects me However, when I watched the show
- 37:22Speaker 1: back and I saw my behavior, that is what is
- 37:26Speaker 1: sitting with me, not anything else. I mean the other
- 37:29Speaker 1: day we did Andy Cohen's show, Watch Rabin's Life, and
- 37:32Speaker 1: he was like a lot of people. I asked him.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I was like, are you asking me these questions? Did
- 37:36Speaker 1: I get a lot of hate from that? And he
- 37:37Speaker 1: was like, oh, we had so many comments about it.
- 37:39Speaker 1: So I had no idea until he said that, and
- 37:42Speaker 1: I was like, I was already feeling badly about what
- 37:45Speaker 1: was going on. So I'm just really grateful we had
- 37:47Speaker 1: her on. She's a freaking.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Badass, but I can already see you all And it was.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Fun because she even told us she gave it up
- 37:53Speaker 1: on the first night see a girl after my own,
- 37:55Speaker 1: damn heart. I'm sure she's gonna be like, oh no,
- 37:58Speaker 1: I don't want to be a girl.
- 37:59Speaker 3: After a while, I was sorry, Okay, I'm just gonna
- 38:02Speaker 3: leave this one alone. But I want to say, you
- 38:04Speaker 3: already look lighter and happier like the fact that you too,
- 38:06Speaker 3: bet yeah, I think you know.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Look, this is weak.
- 38:10Speaker 3: I don't know anymore. I'm just going to leave it
- 38:12Speaker 3: at that week whatever of quarantine because this is I
- 38:15Speaker 3: feel like we live in quarantine now, but I think
- 38:18Speaker 3: doing this podcast connects us to people that are kind
- 38:22Speaker 3: of in the same boat. And I think, you know,
- 38:25Speaker 3: I want to say, relationships are hard, and then when
- 38:28Speaker 3: you put people in quarantine, they're harder. So anybody out
- 38:32Speaker 3: there that's going through a tough moment in their relationship,
- 38:36Speaker 3: stay positive and stay strong and just keep working through it,
- 38:39Speaker 3: because the stronger you are in quarantine, the better your
- 38:42Speaker 3: relationship will be out of quarantine.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Absolutely, we are sending you all all of our love
- 38:47Speaker 1: and our prayers. And before we sign off and I
- 38:51Speaker 1: tell you guys to go sleigh the day, let's listen
- 38:55Speaker 1: to some voicemails you already ran to.
- 38:57Speaker 4: This is like my favorite part of it.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I know, it's so fun. I feel like I know
- 39:00Speaker 1: these people.
- 39:01Speaker 9: Yep, Hi, Lala, I'm Randall. This is Andrea from Atlantic City,
- 39:05Speaker 9: New Jersey. Love you, l La and everything you stand
- 39:08Speaker 9: for on vander Pump. But I love Randall, So rand
- 39:11Speaker 9: you better stop saying you don't have any fans, because
- 39:14Speaker 9: you do now. My question is for Randall. I want
- 39:17Speaker 9: to know more about your background on poker. I've watched
- 39:20Speaker 9: videos of you playing it's amazing. If you ever come
- 39:23Speaker 9: to Alantic City to play a tournament, let your fans know. Thanks.
- 39:27Speaker 4: I love this question.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Oh my god, a locker question.
- 39:30Speaker 3: While I was going to fall asleep here and is
- 39:32Speaker 3: they're banging my head. First of all, thank you Atlantic City.
- 39:37Speaker 3: I love and the Borgata as the best tournaments ever.
- 39:40Speaker 3: So when I do come, I definitely will post. I
- 39:43Speaker 3: don't know, I am so obsessed with poker. It's my passion,
- 39:47Speaker 3: you know. What can I say? I put a lot
- 39:49Speaker 3: of time in studying the game. I love tournaments. I
- 39:52Speaker 3: love the competitiveness. I love how I'm always trying to
- 39:55Speaker 3: get better and you can never, you know, beat the game.
- 39:58Speaker 3: You're always working in a proving the game as it evolves,
- 40:01Speaker 3: and it's just one of my favorite things in the world.
- 40:04Speaker 3: It's a happy place for me, and I've really the
- 40:06Speaker 3: community of poker.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Is just so special.
- 40:09Speaker 3: I love meeting people from all over the world at play.
- 40:12Speaker 3: You can go to any country, any city, any state,
- 40:16Speaker 3: find a poker room and play and you don't you know,
- 40:19Speaker 3: it's just it's just a really really unique game. So
- 40:23Speaker 3: thank you, and I'm glad I have a fan. I
- 40:26Speaker 3: think you're one of my first fans outside of my family.
- 40:29Speaker 3: So thank you.
- 40:31Speaker 1: And I'm just dying that someone asked you about.
- 40:33Speaker 2: You know, I could do all Podcosker you know what, and.
- 40:37Speaker 3: And I'm going to tell you something, Andrew, you know
- 40:39Speaker 3: what I'm gonna do for you and Lala is not
- 40:40Speaker 3: gonna let me, but I'm going to win this battle.
- 40:43Speaker 3: I am going to do a poker podcast with you,
- 40:45Speaker 3: Lawa maybe in a few weeks where we bring on
- 40:48Speaker 3: Phil Hellmuth and a couple of the best pros in
- 40:50Speaker 3: the world.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Okay, so we'll have all of ten listeners that week.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Fine, and and all right, anyway, thanks Andrea, and I
- 40:59Speaker 3: appreciate it, and all the poker payers out all the
- 41:01Speaker 3: poker players out there, keep listening, keep playing, all right.
- 41:04Speaker 8: Next question, Hey, Lala and Randall. This is Lee and
- 41:08Speaker 8: from New Jersey. Me and my kids absolutely love watching
- 41:13Speaker 8: Lala on Standard Pump Rules, and I love listening to
- 41:17Speaker 8: your podcast. You guys are hilarious and you are my
- 41:21Speaker 8: favorite couple on Vander Pump Rules. And I just had
- 41:24Speaker 8: a question. I was wondering if you've ever considered doing
- 41:28Speaker 8: your own spinoff show. I think that it would be
- 41:31Speaker 8: an absolute number one hit and you guys would be
- 41:35Speaker 8: hilarious to watch for an entire hour. All right, love
- 41:40Speaker 8: you guys. Bye.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Would you ever do a spin off?
- 41:43Speaker 4: Babe?
- 41:43Speaker 1: First of all, First of all, I wonder how old
- 41:46Speaker 1: her kids are that are watching vander pomp.
- 41:48Speaker 4: I bet you they're teenagers.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Oh, Leanne, you're you're a gangster. I love that you
- 41:53Speaker 1: and your kids watching.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I'm not going to answer this question because all I'm
- 41:56Speaker 3: going to say before you answer this question is the phone.
- 41:59Speaker 3: I said I would never do vander Pump and you did, right,
- 42:02Speaker 3: And I'll say and I'm going to say, I would
- 42:04Speaker 3: never want to do a spin off.
- 42:06Speaker 4: But at the end of the day, you know I I.
- 42:09Speaker 1: You realize if we did a spinoff, we would have
- 42:11Speaker 1: to show it all, like we would have to show
- 42:12Speaker 1: our fights. We would have to It would.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Be we don't go we go toes.
- 42:17Speaker 1: We love hard, play hard, fight hard. And I said
- 42:21Speaker 1: that first. I love hard.
- 42:24Speaker 2: See the fans, look you're looking at me right now.
- 42:26Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 42:27Speaker 1: That's what I'm I would do a spinoff in two seconds.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Mention it all, mention.
- 42:31Speaker 2: It all anyway.
- 42:34Speaker 3: I would I would prefer not to do a spinoff,
- 42:36Speaker 3: but if my fiance, Uh forced me to.
- 42:40Speaker 4: I probably would fold at some point.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Well, first we have to get an offer evolution where
- 42:44Speaker 1: you at bro come produce my ship. All right, we
- 42:48Speaker 1: have one more voicemail. I love this one.
- 42:50Speaker 10: Yeah, hey, Lala, it's Syrian. I'm from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Or
- 42:54Speaker 10: should I say Tulsa, Oklahoma with nothing but a hole.
- 42:59Speaker 5: As a sais?
- 43:01Speaker 10: I vote yes for James Kennedy coming back.
- 43:03Speaker 9: We love him.
- 43:04Speaker 10: We have so much fun listening to him. He is
- 43:07Speaker 10: so awesome and I didn't get to see him when
- 43:09Speaker 10: he was here, so I'm sad.
- 43:11Speaker 9: Other than that, how much?
- 43:13Speaker 10: My question for you and Randall is how much of
- 43:16Speaker 10: a decision does Randal have in actually planning the wedding.
- 43:19Speaker 10: Would you say it's like ninety ten or fifty fifty
- 43:24Speaker 10: or do you let him make any calls? And if
- 43:26Speaker 10: you do, what calls or is he allowed to make
- 43:29Speaker 10: about the wedding?
- 43:30Speaker 7: Thanks?
- 43:30Speaker 1: Rand How much are you involved in the wedding planning?
- 43:34Speaker 1: This is funny because she asks fifty to fifty or
- 43:36Speaker 1: ninety ten. I think you're more ninety and I'm more ten.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Okay, that is not okay, I'll tell you can I
- 43:41Speaker 3: tell you the truth of my opinion. Yeah, I think
- 43:44Speaker 3: when we started the wedding process, I think maybe I
- 43:46Speaker 3: was ninety ten my favorite.
- 43:48Speaker 1: In the beginning, you were ninety ten, you were the
- 43:50Speaker 1: ninety I.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Think I was driving the train like you were fine
- 43:53Speaker 3: getting married with six people.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Yeah, but now, and be honest, law and I see
- 43:58Speaker 4: the smark on your face.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Tell me, I believe today my power has completely gone,
- 44:04Speaker 3: and I believe you've handed it over to now.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Neither of us have power, and our moms split it
- 44:09Speaker 1: fifty to fifty.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Correct.
- 44:11Speaker 3: But I think that whatever you say these days, I'm
- 44:13Speaker 3: kind of like, I just want you to be happy.
- 44:15Speaker 1: So, yes, Randall is a movie producer, so this wedding,
- 44:20Speaker 1: he sees it like it's a movie, Like it's a production.
- 44:25Speaker 1: For me, I've been very vocal about this. I have
- 44:28Speaker 1: never dreamed about getting married, Like I wasn't that kid.
- 44:32Speaker 1: As a young girl. No, I was thinking about, like
- 44:34Speaker 1: all I want to do is move to Hollywood, Like
- 44:37Speaker 1: that's what I saw. You know, while most girls are
- 44:39Speaker 1: like wearing veils and shit, that wasn't me. So for me,
- 44:43Speaker 1: I was like, let's just have a small wedding. We'll
- 44:45Speaker 1: invite our close friends and family and call it a day.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Randall and his producer Mine was like, no, I need
- 44:51Speaker 1: a fifty piece orchestra and a piano player and whatever else,
- 44:57Speaker 1: fifty person choet.
- 44:59Speaker 2: But be honest, La honest.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Wait before your fans, before your fans
- 45:03Speaker 3: think that this is your still mindset.
- 45:05Speaker 1: No, no, no, I'm telling that now. I feel now, okay,
- 45:08Speaker 1: I want to When it came to canceling the April
- 45:13Speaker 1: eighteenth wedding and we were like, okay, well we can
- 45:15Speaker 1: still do it that day, but we'll do it very small.
- 45:18Speaker 2: You could have had a small wedding time, I was like, oh.
- 45:20Speaker 1: But now I have this extravagant wedding in mind. I
- 45:24Speaker 1: want the fifty person choir.
- 45:27Speaker 4: That is true.
- 45:28Speaker 3: And by the way, fans of La La, I will
- 45:31Speaker 3: tell you she really had that at a moment where
- 45:34Speaker 3: you could have decided let's just do the courthouse small whatever, yeah,
- 45:38Speaker 3: and you said, no, my mind is there now, like
- 45:42Speaker 3: I want to celebrate in the best way. And I
- 45:44Speaker 3: will tell you our wedding now having gone through this
- 45:48Speaker 3: quarantine like the rest of the world. I even told
- 45:52Speaker 3: my mother, the celebration we're going to have is going
- 45:55Speaker 3: to mean so much more than anything we've ever celebrated,
- 45:59Speaker 3: because it's almost like a celebration of freedom.
- 46:01Speaker 4: We have our freedom again.
- 46:03Speaker 3: I mean, in addition to the romance and the love
- 46:04Speaker 3: that we have, I just think we're going to be
- 46:06Speaker 3: so excited to enjoy every moment of that week.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Absolutely. Today it was a fun podcast. We got to
- 46:12Speaker 1: answer y'all's questions. We got to have Raquel Levi is
- 46:15Speaker 1: on the podcast. I'm feeling good. I feel like I
- 46:18Speaker 1: can send our listeners into their homes again to slay
- 46:22Speaker 1: the day.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Guys, keep moving around.
- 46:25Speaker 3: You know what I do, La, I go from the
- 46:27Speaker 3: kitchen to the bedroom to the family room, and I
- 46:30Speaker 3: just pretend I'm going to different cities.
- 46:31Speaker 2: You know, that's a great idea I do.
- 46:33Speaker 4: I do.
- 46:33Speaker 3: I'm like the kitchen this Paris, and then I go
- 46:35Speaker 3: up to London in my bedroom. And then sometimes I
- 46:38Speaker 3: go to the playroom and I think, like that's like Disneyland.
- 46:40Speaker 4: So I just I just keep it in my mind.
- 46:42Speaker 4: It's like I'm moving around.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Oh, it's like we're all getting our creativity back. I
- 46:45Speaker 1: love it.
- 46:46Speaker 4: Yep.
- 46:46Speaker 1: All right, you guys have the best day ever. Stay safe,
- 46:49Speaker 1: stay healthy. We love you, and we will see you
- 46:52Speaker 1: and talk to you next week.
