- 0:05Speaker 2: I know it's Thursday, but it's better late than never.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I've heard that.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Still plenty of time to digest.
- 0:15Speaker 1: It's true, it's true.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Mike Blitz.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I'm your host, mike Wade, over there, my co-host, mike White.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Happy Thursday, brother.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Happy Thursday.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Let's do this.
- 0:37Speaker 1: We're getting through the week.
- 0:39Speaker 2: We are.
- 0:39Speaker 2: We are getting through the week, we are rolling.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We got more college football action, as you know, very excited leading up to this weekend.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Before we do that, let's quickly touch on the events of last weekend.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I'm going to go ahead and say the headliner top line.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I want to say last week sucked full stop.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Not a sweet week for not just me, virginia Tech and Virginia, all the homers, except for Tennessee which of course played a golf team which we'll talk about, but just bad week for the good guys.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Before we get into that, I'll go ahead and talk about the headliner.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I think last week Georgia Georgia is, I think, is the best team in the country.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I also think they are much worse than they were last two years.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I think they're gettable.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I thought Mizzou had a shot at the end to win.
- 1:21Speaker 2: They lost 21-30.
- 1:22Speaker 2: That bad Brady cook pick, I just think.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I mean Georgia might still be evolving because they're so young.
- 1:27Speaker 2: They are clearly stepped down where they were in the last two years.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd agree with that.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I think Missouri is a good football team, not a great football team.
- 1:36Speaker 1: They definitely had a shot to win it.
- 1:37Speaker 1: They did a lot of good things and, yeah, georgia is.
- 1:41Speaker 1: This was one of their first real tests and they looked good, but they, like you said, they're definitely gettable.
- 1:48Speaker 1: So still looking for that game.
- 1:51Speaker 1: That Carson Beck has a little bit of a hiccup because he's still playing extremely well.
- 1:55Speaker 1: He is playing better.
- 1:56Speaker 2: He's playing better than I thought he was.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I just mean, like there's not, like you know, nolan, nicobi, dean.
- 2:00Speaker 2: They don't have these guys on defense like they've had in the past, where, just like you're not going to do anything.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just demoralizing the defense.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So we're going to find out.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Georgia schedule was pretty bad for the first six weeks and all of a sudden now it's looking pretty tough.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Obviously, mizzou is a good challenge, tennessee is next and this week they're playing somebody.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I'm a horse for escaping this man.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Ole Miss, thank you for talking about.
- 2:21Speaker 2: So it's the little three old stretch here to find out things.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Okay, state ends bedlam on a two game win streak.
- 2:28Speaker 2: You just love to see it.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You just give ourselves a little pat on the back, just give ourselves a little.
- 2:32Speaker 1: We called that.
- 2:33Speaker 2: We sure did.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Allie Gordon is a stud, continues to be, although he didn't have a master's day.
- 2:37Speaker 2: It was just all around, just Oklahoma.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I think it was a little fraudulent.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I mean he went for 137 in two touches.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So which is solid.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Obviously, the bar for him is like 250 and above.
- 2:46Speaker 2: So it's I'm just, I mean, that's a great day but, like for Allie Gordon, it's like it's an okay day.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Really, what I'm saying I I think Oklahoma is, playoffs are done, I think they are out of the big 12 content title contention.
- 2:58Speaker 2: They've got at TCU, at Iowa State and Texas Tech.
- 3:03Speaker 2: It's, we'll see, we'll see.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I think, okay, see, it didn't get a rematch.
- 3:07Speaker 2: What would be more poetic than Oklahoma State beating Oklahoma, which they did, and then beating Texas in the big 12 championship to send the two teams to the SEC?
- 3:16Speaker 2: I just hope it happens to the story.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I just want it forward the story.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I think that would be great.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I like it.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I mean we talked about the Cowboys having a bit of an edge.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You know some some salt there and I think it propelled them.
- 3:29Speaker 1: This game could have gone either way and it really could have Oklahoma still a really good team.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Texas and Oklahoma State at this point with the fast track to the big 12 championship.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Udub 52-42 over USC.
- 3:45Speaker 2: That game went pretty much as I thought it would.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Usc fires Alex Grinch too little, too late, but at least it happened.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Usc cried on the sidelines with his mom.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I thought that was kind of cute little moment there.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Guys, obviously people there are.
- 3:57Speaker 2: People question his effort.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I don't think they can do that anymore.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Pentax was solid, not elite.
- 4:01Speaker 2: The PPP fund is alive.
- 4:04Speaker 2: It's doing okay.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I think he's still tied for first or second.
- 4:06Speaker 2: We have a shot.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Look to get this, though, and with Jane Daniels losing to Alabama which we'll talk about Pentax is number one.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Number two is Bo Nix.
- 4:15Speaker 1: They're going to play for the Pac-12 championship and the Heisman in December and that's kind of like what you want to see late in the year.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You know everybody talks about Heisman moments.
- 4:26Speaker 1: The winner of that game as long as they both have solid games kind of gives them the fast track again to to the Heisman.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I mean you guys undefeated Oregon's drop one.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Oregon can't afford to lose one other one.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I don't think they will.
- 4:40Speaker 2: If you look at their schedule, you dub could slip up.
- 4:42Speaker 2: They've got one or two more challenges along the way, but I mean I'm expecting 11 and one or 12 and 0 out of both squads playing for the Pac-12, playing for the Heisman in Vegas.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Man, that would be a hot football ticket.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Let's go to Vegas in December and go watch that game, because that would just be insane.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Ole Miss 38-35 wild game.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Lane Kiffin is quietly racking up the wins Very impressive.
- 5:06Speaker 2: You know, we in previous years we see Ole Miss kind of start out 5-0, 6-0.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And we're like, oh, is their defense really good?
- 5:13Speaker 2: Did this really change?
- 5:14Speaker 2: No, no, there's still Ole Miss.
- 5:15Speaker 2: But they are, they are really doing it and obviously now they're going to be front and center for everybody versus Georgia this monster week.
- 5:21Speaker 2: But Ole Miss probably a couple of notches of A&M, especially A&M without their star quarterback.
- 5:27Speaker 2: But that just got to win those games and they did so.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Kudos to Lane getting the W.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a tougher game for them than I thought it would be, but A&M still has a ton of talent and they're still capable of beating anybody if they show up.
- 5:42Speaker 2: So Yep, the GMO situation just keeps getting funnier.
- 5:46Speaker 2: But they will win the next two, abilene and Mississippi State, and the Grand Finale in Baton Rouge.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Red stick against my beloved Tigers for the season finale I've got I am very curious from a fan perspective what the Texas A&M offseason looks like.
- 6:00Speaker 2: A lot of moving parts there.
- 6:02Speaker 1: They're the best 5-4 team in football.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Well, you know, you know that's what we can hang your hat on.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Feel really good about.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Take that home to the oil boosters.
- 6:09Speaker 2: They must love that.
- 6:10Speaker 2: They must love that.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Clemson 31-23.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I don't know if the Irish didn't show up.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Sam Hartman was bad, clubnik also bad, but less so.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Mike, are you buying Clemson stock today?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Because Dabo wants to know why don't your portfolio of diversification where you at?
- 6:26Speaker 2: I heard that.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And I will say this If they are stock at 5-4, I would buy Right, like it's like you got a pretty good shot, you're buying low.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean there's low, low risk, high reward, I guess.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Listen, dabo, if Clemson football coaching doesn't work out for you long term, if you want to be my portfolio manager, I feel like I would hire you if I could do a great job with that.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So just a fallback plan If Clemson football doesn't work out, want to be my stock investor?
- 6:56Speaker 2: Want to be my stock tips guy?
- 6:57Speaker 2: That would be great.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't see this one coming.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I thought Notre Dame was a much better football team so there's still something left in the tank for Clemson.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I'm, you know, marcus Freeman.
- 7:07Speaker 2: He has these like big wins.
- 7:09Speaker 2: He has these big recruiting wins and we're like he's doing things right and then he has these like inexplicable bad games, like I don't.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I know Clemson's got a great defense there.
- 7:17Speaker 2: They're going to hang their hat on that, but like there's no excuse for Sam Hartman not to be better in this spot.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Frankly, I don't know.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I don't know if the loss of Tommy Reese, the officer coordinator, was a bigger deal than it thought it was, but like he's probably taking Sam Hartman out of um Clausen's mesh at Wake Forest obviously a different look offense.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I just thought Sam Hartman was a match made in heaven there and just hasn't worked out that way.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, I don't understand it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: He's still super talented and handsome.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Well, yeah, well, we'll see what it looks like.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You know what the NFL scouts think of him, I think Notre Dame Clemson a little bit here to go back to Clemson.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I do think they they just how the turntables.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe they just had one of those games and you'll see these as programs climb.
- 8:01Speaker 1: But the more frequent they happen, the more you start to sort of wonder if you've got the right guy and head coach or not.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yep.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Moving on.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I'm just bummed.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Nebraska lost Michigan State.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Michigan State stinks.
- 8:16Speaker 2: I like Nebraska.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I know Harvard stinks.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Holding Michigan State to 20 points should be enough for anybody and they got this court 17 with a late touchdown to make it close and then an interception to very, very end.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Matt Ruhl is on schedule.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I know it's a rebuild, I know he's better than what Scott Frost done.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I just I wanted them to be able.
- 8:33Speaker 2: This game killed my chances of Nebraska backdooring the terrible Big 10 West, Obviously the worst power five division in Scottish football this year, and it didn't happen.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It looks like the Iowa Hawkeyes man Just gonna be defense, defense, defense.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Man, what is gonna happen in that game in Annapolis against Michigan or Ohio State or Penn State?
- 8:56Speaker 2: It's going what's the spread gonna be?
- 8:58Speaker 2: The spread's?
- 8:58Speaker 2: Gonna be 30, they're not winning.
- 9:00Speaker 2: There is no world where they win that game.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Spread to me like 37 or 7 points.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I will be really interested in the spread for that one, and then I will take Iowa and you can have whoever they're playing.
- 9:13Speaker 2: My promise to the good people of Virginia I will talk about JNU every time they win.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And they won again.
- 9:17Speaker 2: This time they destroyed Georgia State 42-14.
- 9:20Speaker 2: You love to see it.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Mcleod had a big day 300 yards, four touchdowns.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Defense had 10 tackles for loss, likely going 12-0.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Season finale, a coastal could be tricky, although they don't have their quarterback, so I'm not sure he's gonna be back.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Well, the big story Jalen Green going down with a knee injury.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Those of you who don't know Jalen Green, the nation's sack leader, down the injury out for the year.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Just hate to see it.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Probably his JNU's best player and he's the kind of guy where, like he, he's gonna need a good NFL scout to good NFL tryouts.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Get there, give him a level of competition, and just injury for him really derails his potential.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I think he's NFL player and obviously he's JNU's best player, so just it's tough to lose him.
- 9:59Speaker 2: There is, however, the good news is there is some smoke around.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Jnu might be able to get to the Sun Belt Championship.
- 10:07Speaker 2: There's been some letters.
- 10:10Speaker 2: There's some legalese.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I'm not gonna pretend I know much about, but I'll say there is some smoke.
- 10:14Speaker 2: We might see the NCAA do something good for once.
- 10:59Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I would hope so, but yeah, the NCAA is not known for that.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Not known for that Loses to Arkansas in overtime.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Here's a hot take for you Florida is not going bowling.
- 11:13Speaker 1: They are, yeah, the rest of their schedule is brutal.
- 11:16Speaker 2: They are five and four are.
- 11:17Speaker 2: They are at Missouri LSU this week 14 point dogs At Mizzou there'll be dogs there and Florida State, which they are not beating.
- 11:24Speaker 2: They need a six win.
- 11:26Speaker 2: They've got three games left.
- 11:27Speaker 2: They're going to be dogs, if not substantial dogs, in all of them.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah you love to see it.
- 11:32Speaker 1: You love to see it Suck it Florida.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Shock of the day Air Force loses three to 23 to Army.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Six turnovers to Air Force service.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Academy games are so weird.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Yeah, america's team, let's go Army.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yeah, seriously, who is terrible?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Lsu beat them 70 to nothing and Air Force was nine open at this point in ranks, and to lose an inexplicably bad Army team, that was clearly the shock of the day.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Moving on to the homers UVA, tough, momentum, killing loss to Georgia Tech.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Musket is much better than Calandria and it shows Georgia Tech ran for 300 yards.
- 12:10Speaker 2: That kind of says it all.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Final score 45-17,.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Tough one.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Just you had some momentum with the wins and the close overtime loss to Miami.
- 12:18Speaker 2: And that's when this happens.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Just inconsistency, not having the talent to do it every week in a rebuild Really tough.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Another bad one Virginia Tech lose 34 to three.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Just dismantled all around, gave up 230 on the ground.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Jones was pretty ineffective.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Louisville was just a best, best cheater with best, better team with a really good coach than Jeff Brom.
- 12:38Speaker 2: The good news is for this, for this team, is this game was in my mind, it was really house money they really Virginia Tech really didn't have in their schedule of their rebuild, where they were Louisville's number two team in the ACC.
- 12:51Speaker 2: They're gonna be ranked.
- 12:52Speaker 2: They're gonna challenge Florida State for the ACC championship.
- 12:54Speaker 2: We all know Virginia Tech's not there yet.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So this was if they had somehow miraculously won this game.
- 13:00Speaker 2: This is what it put them way ahead of schedule in terms of Brent prize rebuild.
- 13:04Speaker 2: So in that regard, like it's not the end of the world is my point.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah, they've got BC coming up next, so definitely winnable and some opportunities down the road.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Nc State, you know, winnable, virginia winnable, so we'll see.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say what's Virginia Tech's record, overall record on the year.
- 13:24Speaker 1: They're four and five.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Four and five.
- 13:26Speaker 2: They need two out of three.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Obviously, virginia's get a bull and honestly, nc State with the quarterback transfer, whatever's going on there, opting out the last couple of games.
- 13:34Speaker 2: He's clearly leaving.
- 13:35Speaker 2: And at Boston College, all three of those games are winnable.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Virginia Tech has a lot to play for.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Virginia Tech would benefit so much from having those extra 20 bull practices, even if it's a six and six bull.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Go to the cheese at bowl, whatever it is, there's a lot to play for for the Hokies.
- 13:49Speaker 2: So if I'm Brent Pry and I'm a Hokie fan, I'm thinking full on, let's just get to the bull.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yukon.
- 13:56Speaker 2: What do you want?
- 13:56Speaker 2: I mean, what do you want to say about UT Yukon?
- 14:00Speaker 1: Everybody did what they were supposed to.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Defense had three scores, which is awesome.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Milton hits some big plays.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Running game looks strong as ever.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Good tune up game.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Good game to get the young guys in and get some guys healthy.
- 14:13Speaker 1: That's set out Really the perfect game to go into a tough ending stretch.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I'll be honest with you, I didn't watch a split second of this game.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I just watched the box scores.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I knew you'd have the recap and, honestly, it wasn't much reason for me to watch it because it was never even remotely competitive from all from the box room that I could tell.
- 14:30Speaker 2: So curious for the balls, take care of business.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And it sounds like everybody's staying mostly healthy, which is what you really want of a game like that.
- 14:36Speaker 2: All right, my season came to an end last week.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Just brutal loss LSU was 42 to 28 at Bama.
- 14:43Speaker 2: It is so demoralizing to see LSU waste a national championship Heisman caliber offense and have this division two dog poop defense.
- 14:54Speaker 2: And I don't, it's just.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I mean seriously, you, you, you'll get LSU's last 25 years.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Pick a defense on any of those years.
- 15:01Speaker 2: You put that one on this team and we're 11 and one maybe 12.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And I mean we're, we're, we're national championship contenders and we're not because we can't stop anything.
- 15:10Speaker 2: But what was infuriating to me the most about this game was the way we lost.
- 15:13Speaker 2: We have Harold Perkins, we have a couple of DNs who are decent at keeping lanes.
- 15:18Speaker 2: We knew that like JN Miller was, like biggest weapon was we talked about all week was spy the guy, spy the guy, and we did that effectively against Bryce Young last year.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Like we, that's what we did in boundaries.
- 15:29Speaker 2: It was key to our victory.
- 15:30Speaker 2: So it was really rough to see JN Miller run for 160 and what for touchdown.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I think he scored all four touchdowns on the ground for them.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Both of these quarterbacks looked like two kids playing PlayStation football, like just running around with the quarterback in the backfield and finding someone open or running for a first down.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Like every time you look up, one of these quarterbacks was scrambling for 20 yards.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just it stinks, I will say I mean the kind of silver lining you know we're.
- 15:59Speaker 2: We are six and three with three winnable games, all three at home Florida Tech, sayonem, and I think it's Georgia State who I think yeah, jm, you just beat.
- 16:07Speaker 2: So no, nine and three is very possible, ten and three with a bull win.
- 16:10Speaker 2: The teams we have lost to are a combined 25 and two.
- 16:15Speaker 2: They're all three of them are ranked the top 10.
- 16:17Speaker 2: So, and honestly, probably a finish 33 and three.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Georgia can probably be a little missed this week, but you're talking about three really, really good teams that LSU failed to beat.
- 16:25Speaker 2: So I feel makes me feel a little bit better that you know like we don't have any inexplicable bad losses this year.
- 16:29Speaker 1: So yeah, really good season.
- 16:30Speaker 1: You just don't have that big win to hang your hat on either.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And that's that's like you know there's, it's a kind of a humdrum season because you beat who you're supposed to, you lose to all the big big yeah, and it's just like well, yeah, Okay.
- 16:44Speaker 2: No, the best ones could be in Mizzou, and we'll see how that ages.
- 16:46Speaker 2: You know, we'll see what they do this week and we'll see how they finish their season.
- 16:49Speaker 2: That's our marquee win, so, but obviously, I mean I can tell you every LSU fan will be quite pleased to beat Florida and A&M.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Those are two teams, those are two games that we should win.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Anything else on week 10?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Anything else?
- 17:04Speaker 2: Looking backwards, we want to touch on.
- 17:05Speaker 2: No, I don't think so.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Cool, all right, let's jump into next week, week 11.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Okay, graduates, first of all, welcome Michigan to actual football season.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I hope you enjoyed your two and a half months preseason.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Must have been really really nice.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Yeah, michigan is minus three and a half at Pennsylvania it's going to actually open up Michigan minus seven.
- 17:25Speaker 2: On the road in Happy Valley it moved all the way down to about three or four.
- 17:29Speaker 2: This is Franklin's second Super Bowl in the season.
- 17:31Speaker 2: The first one was in.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Really Hohem lost to Ohio State early.
- 17:35Speaker 2: A lot going on here Is Michigan distracted.
- 17:38Speaker 2: The sign stealing, stealing fiasco is one of the craziest storylines.
- 17:42Speaker 1: And it continues to twist and turn.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I don't really know.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I'll say for my, my gut tells me nothing is going to happen this season.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to kick in.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I don't see it hard by getting suspended for the Ohio State game.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I don't think that's going to happen, but it's something I think it's going to be.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I think, whatever does happen, to be relatively small and minor, but that's all aside.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Well, first of all, what do you think is going to happen with that?
- 18:06Speaker 2: We'll talk about while we're in those.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I mean, I said a couple.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I've said a couple of weeks ago that they're going to win the national championship and then the NCAA is going to vacate it like a two years from now, which is still not a bad take.
- 18:17Speaker 2: That still could happen.
- 18:18Speaker 1: So we'll see how deep it runs.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I think that's the main thing.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Everyone's trying to paint Conor Stallions as this sort of rogue agent Vacuum clear.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Not the case.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I mean Harbaugh, the staff there, they knew what was going on.
- 18:32Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 18:34Speaker 1: And it's really more than anything right now kind of just a black eye for the Big 10, because you've got all these other teams who have come out and they were exchanging Michigan signs and I guess that sort of alleviates some blame from Michigan.
- 18:50Speaker 1: It's muddying the waters a bit, yeah.
- 18:53Speaker 2: So I'm glad you brought that up, because actually somebody, somebody I listened to in a different podcast, tom Frinelli.
- 18:58Speaker 2: He actually he played it.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He put it in good perspective, which I hadn't had previously.
- 19:02Speaker 2: He said that obviously, with the sign ceiling things, everybody does it.
- 19:05Speaker 2: The difference is, what Michigan did was how they stole.
- 19:09Speaker 2: It's not that they got it because everybody got it, because, producer, you know, everyone's calling their buddy hey, here are their signs, hey, here's their signs, here's their signs.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Everyone's doing it.
- 19:16Speaker 2: So it's not the competitive advantage wasn't really there in terms of because they would have got it anyway.
- 19:22Speaker 2: The issue was how they got the signs, which, of course, was that in black and white, against the rules, illegal recording.
- 19:29Speaker 2: But it's not that they.
- 19:30Speaker 2: My point is I think there's a lot of people out there who are like oh, they're stealing signs and Purdue doesn't steal signs.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Indiana's no signs.
- 19:37Speaker 1: No, they all do.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Yeah, stealing signs is the oldest thing in sports, I mean baseball football.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Everybody, if you can look over there and try to figure it out, you're going to do it, yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 2: That part, I guess the product context was lost on me.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I just I didn't realize that truly everybody does it, which is kind of why Michigan and I think the big 10 doesn't really want this story to kind of keep going, frankly, cause I think the more it's like all right, let's pull some skeletons out.
- 19:59Speaker 2: If we're going to do it, let's play the game, like I don't think they want to do that.
- 20:01Speaker 2: So I what happened?
- 20:03Speaker 2: It was helpful for me to understand that everybody does do it, everybody does pretty effectively and everybody literally shares the signs.
- 20:10Speaker 2: The only difference is Michigan brought an iPhone to the equation and they literally recorded it, which is in black and white, against the rules.
- 20:17Speaker 2: So at this point for me, given that context, I'm expecting like a fine, a slap on the wrist, a coordinator suspended a half, like I don't think it's going to be much.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Well, it's, yeah, it's just how sophisticated was the operation?
- 20:31Speaker 1: How deep does it go?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Right?
- 20:33Speaker 1: I think that's kind of where you draw the line, so we'll see.
- 20:36Speaker 1: You're probably right.
- 20:36Speaker 1: It's not going to be as as as big as a vacating, vacating a national championship or something like that.
- 20:42Speaker 1: It'll probably be some, some fines and some suspensions, but we'll see.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Cause, more and more can, can, can continues to come out.
- 20:50Speaker 2: That's true Because, honestly, we'll say the next time we do this podcast, this story could look and be in a completely different situation.
- 20:56Speaker 2: But anyway, who cares about that?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Let's talk about the game.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Let's talk about actual football.
- 20:59Speaker 2: So the question is will any of that be distracting for Michigan?
- 21:04Speaker 1: Or do they say our backs against the wall, the worlds against us?
- 21:07Speaker 2: let's, you know, hunker down prove to everybody that we are not we, yeah, that we're not a sign stealing outfit, that we need that, needs that sort of competitive advantage.
- 21:14Speaker 2: My, my feeling is how could it not?
- 21:16Speaker 2: I think, being on the road in tough spot, I know it's a noon game, I kind of wish it was a night game and happy valet, which was just more fun, more animated, but I still think it's going to be a really tough spot.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I think JJ is going to really need to step up.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Michigan is has probably the best offensive line in the country.
- 21:29Speaker 2: The two time Joe Moore winners might win it again.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Penn State's defensive front is good.
- 21:33Speaker 2: It's going to be really I don't care who Michigan has, I don't care.
- 21:36Speaker 2: The Edwards in Quorum running the ball is going to be really hard.
- 21:41Speaker 2: So JJ is going to have to step up here and show something he hasn't shown really yet against this level of competition.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I mean, I get, I get that he's demolished everybody, but he is going against a secondary with two, maybe three NFL guys there in a hostile, in a hostile hornets nest, as you like to say.
- 22:00Speaker 2: So I'm not sure.
- 22:01Speaker 2: I'm not sure it's going to take a J.
- 22:03Speaker 2: It's going to be a JJ winning, winning this game.
- 22:05Speaker 2: It's what I think for the Michigan on the other side, I Penn State, obviously destroyed Maryland last Maryland's absolute disaster.
- 22:12Speaker 2: They're in a tailspin.
- 22:12Speaker 2: A Laura had another great game.
- 22:15Speaker 2: The difference for me, for them, is I'm still not.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I thought Drew A Laura was going to be better than he is.
- 22:19Speaker 2: He's not who.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I don't think he's that good yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think he's that good, but I don't think he necessarily needs to be that good for them to win this game.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I think, if you can manage the game effectively and they can play good defense, I think I'm going to go ahead and say it.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I think Penn State wins a low scoring game here.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Ok.
- 22:35Speaker 2: So that's the only way you're right.
- 22:36Speaker 2: The only way Penn State pulls this out would have to be an under low scoring kind of like an Ohio State game.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Frankly, 20 to 12, 2016 type kind of experience.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I could see that Because this game does get into a track man, those start scoring points.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I don't see any world, even at home, where Penn State can keep up with JJ and those guys.
- 22:57Speaker 1: No, I don't think so.
- 22:57Speaker 1: If it's a track meet, yeah, michigan's definitely got the edge.
- 23:01Speaker 1: They've got more talent in the skill positions.
- 23:02Speaker 1: But I do like Penn State at home here in this spot.
- 23:05Speaker 1: They're backs against the wall as well.
- 23:08Speaker 1: They've already lost to Ohio State and I think Juillard can do enough and Penn State's defense wins it for him yeah.
- 23:16Speaker 2: The other thing is like this is classic James Franklin game.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Like he just doesn't win these games Historically at Penn State, so like man, nobody wants, anybody in that stadium wants this game more than he does Because his reputation is starting to become well earned.
- 23:29Speaker 2: So I think this is because usually he just loses these games, so really got to have it for him.
- 23:35Speaker 2: That's a really exciting game.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Bama minus 10 and 1 half at Kentucky, maybe a tricky hangover spot.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I'm playing at Larkinton.
- 23:45Speaker 2: You're saying no, not even a little bit, not giving me a little bit of life.
- 23:49Speaker 1: So Kentucky is pretty solid.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Bama is worse, better than them.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Yes, they are.
- 23:53Speaker 2: The question is what version of?
- 23:55Speaker 2: I guess I'm not saying I don't think Bama can lose this game.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I could easily see them not covering 10 and 1 half Touchdown and field going to hook.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I could see Kentucky kind of mudding this game up.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Devon O'Leary would have to take another step.
- 24:07Speaker 2: He would have to look the way he looked against Tennessee.
- 24:10Speaker 2: He looked great in that game and he had some moments.
- 24:12Speaker 2: He would have to play really, really well.
- 24:15Speaker 2: But Kentucky's defense is solid.
- 24:17Speaker 2: You know, here's my thing If Kentucky can do what else you couldn't do last week, which is actually spy Milrow, force him to throw the ball, you don't think Kentucky could muddy that up and keep it close.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Well, I think Kentucky has found a little something with Leary, but conversely, bama has found something with Milrow.
- 24:37Speaker 1: He's gotten better and better and better.
- 24:39Speaker 1: They're using his legs, more he's continuing to hit deep shots.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I think they're more dynamic.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Kentucky has to, has to, has to run the ball in order to be effective.
- 24:50Speaker 1: And I don't think they're going to be able to run the ball and it's not Ray Davis' fault.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I just thought the album afront is just nasty.
- 24:57Speaker 2: They are very, very good.
- 24:58Speaker 2: We LSU had very little success running the ball and it's just our offensive line, and offensive line is better than Kentucky's offensive line and we couldn't get it going.
- 25:05Speaker 2: So yeah, devon O'Leary needs a big game and the Kentucky defense has to play disciplined ball and just somehow limit those big plays, which I think they can do.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I got a lot of faith in stoopes.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Give me Kentucky to cover, but Bama Bama to win.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Ok, all right.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Interesting Arizona minus 10 and a half Big line moves.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'll open up like minus five and a half.
- 25:27Speaker 2: They're playing Colorado, jed Fish and Noah Fatida.
- 25:30Speaker 2: They are just awesome and is.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Arizona surging yeah.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Arizona is surging.
- 25:34Speaker 2: They smoked UCLA last week, I think 27 to 10, like the one one AM game which I told you guys to watch.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I hope you guys all did.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Colorado is in a tailspin.
- 25:43Speaker 2: They are now.
- 25:43Speaker 2: They have fully regressed.
- 25:44Speaker 2: They had a fun month in September.
- 25:47Speaker 2: They are who we thought they were.
- 25:49Speaker 2: They have come all the way back down to planet Earth.
- 25:51Speaker 2: They changed their offensive coordinators, which I don't think was a really good idea.
- 25:54Speaker 2: What was that?
- 25:55Speaker 2: I don't really know.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I was a that was a rookie head coaching move.
- 26:02Speaker 1: If you ask me, you don't pull the trigger like that midseason, like it's just too much drama.
- 26:08Speaker 2: I mean, I was like, I'll just like just make an excellent perspective.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Who thinks their play calling was the problem?
- 26:13Speaker 2: Why?
- 26:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Offense is not the problem period.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you can point to some units.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Offensive line has is terrible.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Running backs are kicking new room.
- 26:22Speaker 2: But like the play calling is not what's stopping this holding this Colorado team back.
- 26:28Speaker 1: So I, that was a total Dion.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Ego move, if you ask me that's.
- 26:32Speaker 2: That was a self-inflicted wound.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Unnecessary self-inflicted would be on.
- 26:35Speaker 2: I really don't know.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I'm not sure we did there.
- 26:37Speaker 2: We'll see, I don't.
- 26:38Speaker 2: All of a sudden, I don't think.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I don't think.
- 26:39Speaker 2: They seem like a lock to go bowling A month ago and now I don't.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I should be going to get left.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I think I'm going to finish yeah, in preseason Arizona was one of those you look at as a probable win.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Now Arizona sitting at six and three ranked, I mean they're looking, they're getting better and better every week.
- 26:54Speaker 1: That's all the sudden one of the tougher games they've got.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Yeah, are they ranked yet?
- 26:58Speaker 2: I don't think they are, but they should be.
- 27:00Speaker 1: They are ranked in all three polls.
- 27:02Speaker 2: What's what's?
- 27:03Speaker 2: What's Arizona ranked right now?
- 27:04Speaker 2: Do you know?
- 27:04Speaker 2: 21?
- 27:05Speaker 2: Yeah, nice Good stuff.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yeah, colorado is four and five.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Let's quickly look at Colorado schedule Versa, arizona.
- 27:11Speaker 2: And then they go on the road twice at Washington State, who is faltered a little bit there?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Washington State's four and five.
- 27:17Speaker 2: They came out who we thought they were, so that's probably your last winnable game.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And then at Utah yeah, you know they're not beating Utah, You're not beating.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Utah in Utah, no way Not without that defense and just being as bad as they are on the trenches.
- 27:28Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Good season, colorado, good season.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Oh, they are sorry, they're the four and five.
- 27:34Speaker 2: They need two of the three.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah, they're not going to be Good.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Speaking of Utah, utah plus nine and a half at UW.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Uw's defense is bad.
- 27:43Speaker 2: It's been exposed.
- 27:43Speaker 2: I thought it was pretty good for the first half of the season.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I thought they were OK against teams like Boise and I thought they made some moments against Oregon.
- 27:50Speaker 2: It's not a good defense and all of a sudden I'm very, very worried about.
- 27:54Speaker 1: There's still nine and a half point favorites, which is pretty big number for me, yeah.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I might take Utah to cover that.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Oh, I am, I'm, definitely am, and I just kind of like the Kentucky Alabama game.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You, utah, will muddy this game up.
- 28:09Speaker 2: They will run the ball.
- 28:10Speaker 2: They're going to run the ball constantly.
- 28:12Speaker 2: They're going to hand the ball off 60 times.
- 28:14Speaker 2: The best way to keep this game close and potentially win it is to keep Penex and those NFL receivers on the sidelines, and Utah knows that winning him is one of the best coaches in the country.
- 28:23Speaker 2: He's going to have an outstanding game plan.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I like Utah to cover Not going to win, nothing to cover.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Yeah, what could be demoralizing is, you know you, utah puts together these long drawn out drives and then Penex, just big play, splashes you to death.
- 28:36Speaker 1: And you know you're you're working super hard to put up 10 points and all of a sudden you look up and it's 10, 21.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I just expect Utah.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I expect Utah to get a couple stops, have long sustained drives and I think Penex, if he has a couple of quick three and outs, a couple, you know, a couple of quick pass from the patterns don't work like and Utah could play, keep away.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of room here for them to do that.
- 28:59Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, no, I agree, I think that'll be a good one to watch.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 2: And obviously you look better last week against USC, but everybody looks good against USC, so I don't really know what that means either.
- 29:08Speaker 2: So you dobs needs a better anyway For keep moving.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Ole Miss plus 10 and a half at Georgia.
- 29:15Speaker 2: First quality, first quality opponent for Georgia.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I guess I mean Missouri is pretty good, but it's a second quote.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Ole Miss is good.
- 29:21Speaker 2: I think Lane Kiffin is going to be super aggressive in this game.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Lots of fourth down going for it.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I'm expecting some, some no huddle.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I'm expecting some hurry up.
- 29:30Speaker 2: I'm expecting some crazy blitzing.
- 29:32Speaker 2: This feels like a house money game for Ole Miss to me.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yeah, this game is monumental for the way that the SEC East shakes out.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Obviously, you know this, but if Georgia loses this game and Tennessee beats Missouri, tennessee will be hosting Georgia for the SEC East Crown.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Yeah, excellent.
- 29:53Speaker 1: So I will be a huge Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss fan.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Unfortunately, I just don't think they've got enough in the tank.
- 30:00Speaker 1: You're just putting it together at the right time.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I would love, love, love, love, love for that to happen, but I just don't see it.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know how.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I don't know how Ole Miss has enough.
- 30:11Speaker 1: It will take some Lane Kiffin magic.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I think this is going to be a really entertaining game from both sides.
- 30:15Speaker 2: The ball one because you're like Lane Kiffin is just like, he's just, he's just good television, frankly, and the way he runs his offense is fun to watch.
- 30:21Speaker 2: And worse, people want to see Georgia's new weapons evolve and merge and then what they like Carson Beck.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Carson Beck is going to be a national, national championship caliber quarterback.
- 30:30Speaker 2: This is kind of games he has to show it.
- 30:32Speaker 2: So this is going to be a great watch from the college football Panther Factor.
- 30:36Speaker 2: So I'd encourage you to watch that.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Miami I'm only mentioning this because it's so historic.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Miami is plus 14 at Florida State.
- 30:42Speaker 2: This game is Miami is lost and bad NC State team and is what is.
- 30:48Speaker 2: But this is a historic game.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Everybody who knows wide right.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Obviously so many famous, famous games come down to the wire here.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Florida State is.
- 30:55Speaker 2: This is Florida State's really last challenge before the potential ACC matchup with Louisville.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I think I got Florida State just demolishing Miami in Tallahassee.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yep.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Why is Texas only minus 10 at four and five TCU?
- 31:13Speaker 1: Mike, I don't know, that is an odd one.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I guess people are still, and then that tells me Vegas is still out on the league.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Murphy, I suppose they're not buying his stock.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I mean, tcu is not good, I'll just expect the horn frogs, but it's not exactly a hornist nest over there, although maybe they get up for Texas.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Maybe this is one of those.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I think they do get up for him, but I still think Texas covers that.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they're too solid on defense so I'm not sure what that line is, but it's weird.
- 31:40Speaker 2: So when they say weird line, they say lean into it, anything else before we do the homers.
- 31:48Speaker 1: No, I think we hit all the big ones here yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 2: All right, cool, let's do it tonight.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Louisville a UVA excuse me plus 20 and a half at Louisville Thursday night Tough spot.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Louisville is surging.
- 32:01Speaker 2: They are really good at football this season, better than we thought they were Jack Plummer or Jake Plummer we're still not really sure who that is.
- 32:07Speaker 2: The quarterback is awesome.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Can we get Musket back?
- 32:10Speaker 2: Can they make this interesting for a little while?
- 32:12Speaker 2: I'm worried about UVA's defense in this spot.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, louisville is looking really good right now and that's a big number to cover, but I think Louisville can probably name their score here.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I feel the same way.
- 32:27Speaker 2: I would just like to hopefully I would like to see UVA's offense Moefield and Malkow, washington are awesome.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Washington is what I said Good grief, awesome.
- 32:37Speaker 2: So I would like to see the UVA offense move the ball and see if we can have some success against a, just frankly, much better team in Louisville Virginia Tech plus two and a half at Boston College.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Short memory Forget what happened last week at Louisville.
- 32:50Speaker 2: How quickly this?
- 32:51Speaker 2: Because honestly, I know that BC is favored by two and a half, although that's probably home field advantage, home field advantage Typically worth that much.
- 32:58Speaker 2: I think Vegas would have these, these sites, these two teams evenly matched a neutral site.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Don't let Louisville beat you twice.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Yeah, last week was a stinker.
- 33:08Speaker 2: It happens when you play, when you play a much better team.
- 33:12Speaker 2: This game will be for me If Brent Pry could take these guys on the road up the boss I'm sure it's going to be cold and wet and miserable and have them show up and play football.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of like Virginia Tech's defense in this spot because Casalanos, who is Boston College's quarterback, he is pretty good at running the ball and I think Virginia Tech can shut him down.
- 33:33Speaker 1: He's I think he's their leading rusher, so they do a lot with him and I think Virginia Tech is is kind of is good in those spots to limit what he can do and force some other weapons to beat him.
- 33:43Speaker 1: So I kind of like Virginia Tech here to edge them out on the road.
- 33:48Speaker 2: I think I do.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm taking, I'm taking the Hokies as well.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Tennessee minus one or minus one and a half.
- 33:53Speaker 2: This game open as a pick up in them.
- 33:54Speaker 2: So there's some money coming in on your balls, which is a good sign.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Doesn't mean everything, but it does is a good sign Massive game.
- 33:59Speaker 2: I've one note for this game the UT run game will decide this game either way.
- 34:05Speaker 2: If Tennessee's, tennessee's bread and butter, run the ball with that three headed monster and obviously Joe Milton as well as some keepers, if they can find success on the ground against a really solid Missouri defense, missouri's defense is pretty well they're going to win.
- 34:19Speaker 2: If they're having, if Missouri steps up and plays really tight, run D, I could see the goal in the other way.
- 34:24Speaker 2: That's kind of my what you got.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I don't think Missouri has enough to stop the balls running game.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Really nobody has the balls.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Have put up a combined like 130 points on Missouri the last two years.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Kind of think that Hypal just has drink with his number.
- 34:41Speaker 1: The offense is getting a little bit more dynamic with every week.
- 34:45Speaker 1: They're they're they're doing things at the right time.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Missouri is a very capable, good team.
- 34:49Speaker 1: We're gonna have to stop ready cooks legs and limit his scrambling, but I think the balls can do it in a close game yeah they're also obviously they're gonna have challenges in their secondary.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Luther Bernd, luther Bernd we Missouri has some absolute playmaking wide receivers out there.
- 35:03Speaker 1: So the SEC deep the balls defense in the secondary will certainly have their challenge with them, the balls are leading the SEC and rushing and leading and rush defense, and so they're gonna have to make Missouri one dimensional.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah, which is good because in Tennessee obviously, obviously has a really good pass rush as well.
- 35:19Speaker 2: So that could that could also be the thing that turned the tide for the balls in their favor as well.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I took the balls at minus one to cover, so I'm with you on the balls pick.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Lastly, lsu minus 14, florida.
- 35:30Speaker 2: You know the West is over, but this is a big recruiting game.
- 35:33Speaker 2: This is a LSU.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Florida has been a restored rival for a long time, back to the T-Bell games and even even earlier.
- 35:40Speaker 2: It means my point is it means a tremendous amount to LSU fans, and Florida fans were 14 point favorites.
- 35:45Speaker 2: We should take care of business and keep building.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Florida is good.
- 35:48Speaker 2: They have SEC caliber players all with their roster, but they are not there.
- 35:52Speaker 2: They're not sorry, they're not good, but they're dangerous because they have SEC caliber guys over the place.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Jane Daniels actually, as of late last night, cleared concussion protocols and is practicing very good to see very good to see.
- 36:07Speaker 2: This was a game where he's not the start.
- 36:09Speaker 2: You would want your backup to your back.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Garrett Nussbaum started to start in, so it sounds like Jane Daniels is a go.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I'm not sure we cover because I'm worried about Bama has done this so many times to us.
- 36:19Speaker 2: They beat us and the next week we look bad, whether it's against Arkansas or we've lost some silly games we shouldn't have lost because we got beat twice by Saban.
- 36:28Speaker 2: So I actually I hate to say it I like LSU to win, I like Florida cover and keep it close, because I don't know that Brian Kelly can get this team off of that and onto this one, yeah, yeah, I don't hate that.
- 36:41Speaker 1: You need Jane Daniels to play and be himself.
- 36:44Speaker 1: If he comes in and he's healthy and he can be as dynamic as he's been, this game won't be a problem.
- 36:50Speaker 1: If he's shaken the cobwebs off and Ness Meyer has to play, some of or most of the game could be a trouble spot.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I mean, so that's kind of where.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of where we are as well.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Oh, the only thing you didn't mention is Oklahoma State.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I wish you can get credit.
- 37:04Speaker 2: They're minus two and a half at UCF.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Ucf is terrible at defense.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I know this game is in Orlando, florida, I don't care.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Oklahoma State's going to run all over them.
- 37:12Speaker 2: So I want to squeeze that in real quick.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Just the Oligo and Hype Train to keep on rolling, baby, keep on rolling.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that UCF's four and five.
- 37:19Speaker 1: That's a weird, weird line for that.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Maybe sprinkle someone UCF, I don't know, I think that's everything we got for this week.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Anything else you want to throw in the hopper?
- 37:28Speaker 2: Anything else?
- 37:28Speaker 2: Anything more to toss out?
- 37:29Speaker 1: Now let's wrap this baby up and throw it in the oven Folks.
