- 0:10Narrator: The earliest Allvaldughers were Blomster, Farskajaut, and Rödhe. They were the first to ask what they were and why, though there was no one to answer their questions. Modhir was life, but her task was settled, and she was warmth and light, not thought. The stiärnas were too far away, and they, as their mother, had no thoughts. Since no one was there to answer them, they decided to create something to give their presence a meaning. Blomster, Farskajaut, and Rödhe wanted to create more life. Their kind of life already existed, so they wanted to shape something new. They found some stones, leftovers from the birth of stiärnas spread over space, and made a sphere which they placed to move around Modhir. The first they put too close, and the heat burned it to ashes. The second they got too far away, it turned to ice. The third they placed just right. Pleased, they watched it move in orbit around Modhir. Blomster put a drop of water on it, and it neither boiled nor froze. Farskajaut made it spin around its axle, spreading the warmth from Modhir evenly around the globe. With heat and water, they hoped for their new kind of life to grow. They called it Fyrst because it was the first of its kind. The three Allvaldughers felt that Fyrst was small and lonely. It was nothing compared to the grand Modhir and the vast space. So they made two more of the same kind, for them to keep each other company. One on the inside, closer to Modhir, one on the outside. Being so close together, they were just about equal, except for the time they took to move around their sun. The three Allvaldugher had hoped that their creations would stick together, but already after one lap, they were wide apart. Rödhe gave the fastest the name Fulrasker because it was so fast. Farskajaut gave the outer, slowest planet the name Ofsen due to its modest speed. As they wished, a new kind of life started on the three planets. It was not a thinking life as themselves, and it was not a life spreading warmth and light as Modhir. It was a circular life. It was a life with death. Blomster found this circle of life fascinating, while Rödhe and Farskajaut found death appalling and disgusting. Blomster figured that the three tiny planets in the vast space only could produce minor life and that death and rebirth were inevitable. Rödhe and Farskajaut disagreed and continued to work to get a lasting form of life. Out of clay, they formed eggs of different kinds and painted them. They hardened them near Modhir’s burning flames and then spread them across the three planets. The eggs cracked, and the new forms of life entered Väruld. These were birds, lizards, and snakes, the first kinds of animals. They were thinking, but mostly about food. Blomster had to create the insects to give them something to eat, or they would have eaten his plants, leaving nothing. To Farskajaut’s disappointment, this kind of life too died. Rödhe did not mind any longer. She had found the circle of life as endless as the lives of the Allvaldughers, just with the need to change bodies. Farskajaut did one more try. He carved animals out of wood. Inside them, he made a cave, and in the cave, he placed a baby animal. Then he dipped them all in water and spread them across the planets as before. The animals came to life, carrying their offspring inside them until the baby animals were ready to be born. But even though they were their mother’s flesh and blood, they too died eventually. Farskajaut came to the conclusion that Blomster and Rödhe made before him, namely that no body could last as long as the life inside it. They could not stop growing and aging and the need for life to move on one day. The three Allvaldughers watched Fyrst, Fulrasker, and Ofsen circle around Modhir and were pleased with their creation.
