- 0:00Woo guys, it is October. I'm so excited for today's
- 0:05episode. You might remember in the last
- 0:07episode we talked about how we were going to go through our
- 0:10autumn favourites. Well, the time is here.
- 0:13It's time for cozy blankets. It's time for cinnamon rolls.
- 0:17It's time for candles. It's time for chunky cardigans.
- 0:20Literally this is my time. I was not expecting that.
- 0:25I'm so excited today. Yeah, I've, I've had a lot of
- 0:28sugar, actually. But I just love this time so
- 0:31much. I'm so excited to talk about it.
- 0:33Yeah, I, I am a big I I think I touched on this in our last
- 0:37episode as well. Like it's like a bit sweet thing
- 0:40for me. Like I love all the vibes of
- 0:42autumn, but I do suffer with sad.
- 0:44So there's like dark mornings are a downer on the vibe of the
- 0:49season overall, but the bare mamps are a vibe.
- 0:52They are vibe. They're a big vibe.
- 0:55So we're actually gonna take you through all of our favorite
- 0:58things about the Bermont. We're gonna talk about spooky
- 1:00season books, cozy autumn books, films, TV, clothes, other
- 1:05miscellaneous things that we love about the seasons.
- 1:08So let's get into it, yeah? So we're going to start with
- 1:11books, obviously, because why wouldn't we?
- 1:15These are our like, tried, tested, we've read, we'd love
- 1:17them. We recommend them all the time.
- 1:19Ones that you should definitely add to your spooky season TBR if
- 1:22you haven't yet. So, Brunty, why don't you go for
- 1:25book one for you? So my first one is A Dowry of
- 1:28Blood, which I talk about every single autumn.
- 1:30Recommend it every spooky season because it is a gothic literary
- 1:35fiction sort of romance in a way, and it is a Dracula's Bride
- 1:41retelling, So all the gothic vibes are perfect.
- 1:45It's also written really nicely. Like it's really poetic.
- 1:48It's second person POV that's written in a letter.
- 1:51So that also feels quite, I don't know, something about
- 1:54that. Yeah.
- 1:56But it also something about that feels like a hot that you sat in
- 1:58a haunted house writing a letter by a candlelight, you know what
- 2:01I mean? So the vibes are just there.
- 2:03And also it's queer and polyamorous, so it has really
- 2:07great representation there as well.
- 2:08So if you haven't read it already, then you definitely
- 2:11have to add this one to your TBR 100%.
- 2:13What about you and? So first one, I'm going to go
- 2:17soul searching. It's a new release.
- 2:19It literally just released a few days ago at the time of filming
- 2:22this. I was lucky enough to get proof
- 2:25of it back in August and I was just obsessed with it from the
- 2:28moment I picked it up. It's just got all of Lila's ages
- 2:32perfect. Like cozy bromance, small town
- 2:37vibes great, like tension with the relationship, good spice.
- 2:42But it's also got this like creepy undertone because it's
- 2:45set in this in this ghost town. I can't remember where it is,
- 2:48but it's like up in the mountains, really small town.
- 2:50She can see and hear ghosts since she was a child, but for
- 2:54some reason she can't hear them anymore even when she sees them.
- 2:58So it's kind of like I'm weaving this mystery of what's happened
- 3:00with her powers. It's just all around.
- 3:04It's the perfect cozy season read.
- 3:07I'm so excited for that one because we love Lila Sage.
- 3:10Yeah. My next one is more of like a,
- 3:15it's kind of gothic where it is more of a paranormal
- 3:18romanticity, I would say. And that is Hollow Heathens,
- 3:22which is book one in like a series of they're almost like
- 3:26interconnected standalones, would you say?
- 3:29Because like, you could technically read them
- 3:30separately. You could technically, but they
- 3:32definitely make more. More sense as a normal series.
- 3:36I wouldn't say that they're interconnected standalones,
- 3:39because I don't think you could really understand book 2 very
- 3:42well without book one, but they're very separate stories to
- 3:45stay in the same place. Yeah, it's yeah they, yeah,
- 3:48exactly what Tor said. But essentially book 1 Hollow
- 3:51Heathens and then book 2 is Bowen Island, and each of them
- 3:54follows different couples. But what is so perfect for
- 3:57spooky season is it's warring witch covens.
- 4:01And there is this coven where there are 4 leaders or men who
- 4:06are cursed with these like big animal kind of school masks that
- 4:10they have to wear. And honestly, like first of all,
- 4:14warring witch covens is the most Halloweeny thing I've ever
- 4:17heard. And then you have these dark,
- 4:20cursed, masked love interests, which if you're on mask Talk,
- 4:26you're already in for a treat. And then, yeah, just each story
- 4:30has a different couple. So they're just like, again,
- 4:33quite atmospheric, very vibey, I would say.
- 4:38Yeah. I've given this recommendation a
- 4:40couple of times for, like, the girlies that are really into,
- 4:42like, contemporary dark romance. Yeah.
- 4:45I feel like it's the perfect introduction to like,
- 4:48supernatural fancy esque books. If you're a dark romance reader,
- 4:52Yeah. 100% I would agree with that because the romances as
- 4:55well are very like forbidden enemies to lovers kind of.
- 4:59They definitely have those dark undertones, so it's a perfect
- 5:04one. Okay, so sticking with the
- 5:06darker theme, I'm going to say Juno Dawson's Her Majesty's
- 5:10Royal Coven series. It is again, it's a dark fantasy
- 5:16about witches, but it's set in the UK and it's basically HMRC,
- 5:22Her Majesty's Royal Coven. They are this behind the scenes
- 5:26like government agency that protects humans from the witchy
- 5:32demon world. It's very dark, gritty.
- 5:36It has this amazing Junior has this amazing way of creating
- 5:44nostalgia in these books because there's a lot about Spice Girls
- 5:4790's pop culture, very realistic, like female
- 5:51friendships. It's just all round perfect
- 5:56spooky season type of read and it's now a complete series which
- 6:00is perfect for the winter months I think so that you can just
- 6:02binge whatever you want. Yeah, and I haven't read the
- 6:05whole series like Tor has. I've only read book one, but
- 6:08that was so good. I really want to do these the
- 6:12rest of the books as well. I'm going to try and do them
- 6:13soon, but and. I will say about this series is
- 6:17it does not. It's a trilogy and there's a
- 6:19novella in the middle which I wasn't that keen on but I never
- 6:22really am on novellas. Every book is fantastic.
- 6:25It doesn't have second book in a trilogy syndrome at all.
- 6:29Every single book just hits hits his and the ending of the series
- 6:33was perfection. Like God Tears series.
- 6:36We love that. Makes me emotional.
- 6:40My next one I'm going to go for a cosy read because you do still
- 6:43need the cosy vibes at Autumn as well and this is like the
- 6:46perfect read on the sofa with a blanket fireplace on the TV.
- 6:51And that is Sangu Mandana's latest book, A Witch's Guide to
- 6:56Magical Innkeeping. I always have to like really
- 6:58concentrate to say that. I don't know why.
- 7:00I'm just focusing on the fact that you said fireplace on the
- 7:03TV. I don't have any.
- 7:06People have real fireplaces, you know.
- 7:08I live in a flat, guys. I am living through my TV but so
- 7:15this is a new read for me. But previously I'd read her or
- 7:18the book, which is The very Secret Society of Irregular
- 7:21Witches. And I would say that one was
- 7:22like slightly more like summer to autumn.
- 7:25And then this one, which is Guide to Magical Innkeeping is
- 7:28like autumn to winter. It's perfect.
- 7:30There's a lot of like really snowy scenes.
- 7:33There's part of it where it's set in Edinburgh.
- 7:36There is again, the quirkiest found family.
- 7:40The love interest is great. There's also a lot about there's
- 7:45a kid in the book who has autism and I thought that
- 7:48representation was so good. It was so well done.
- 7:51And then also like mental health as well.
- 7:53But it it wraps all of those things up in like a very cozy
- 7:57bow. Like it's not depressing.
- 7:59It's not, it's not going to kind of leave you feeling like sad or
- 8:02depressed. It's just going to.
- 8:04Touch on it, make you think about it.
- 8:06Yeah. So it's not connected to the
- 8:08other book. No, OK, no, it's not connected,
- 8:11but it's very similar. Like you can tell it's set in
- 8:14the same world, same magic system, that kind of a thing.
- 8:16But the characters are not actually connected or the plots
- 8:19not connected. So you can read it definitely as
- 8:22a standalone. You do not need to read the
- 8:24other one first, but it's the perfect cozy like Sunday
- 8:28afternoon read. It is on my kind of autumn or
- 8:30winter hopefuls. I will get to that for sure.
- 8:33I am like 90% sure you will love it.
- 8:35Yeah, it's one of those books that I will just enjoy that pop
- 8:38it on audio. It's done by the same narrators
- 8:39as well, isn't it? Yeah.
- 8:41Great narrators. So such good narrators.
- 8:43Yeah. Amazing.
- 8:45OK, my final recommendation is the Blood and Steel series by
- 8:49Helen Shurer. There's nothing specifically
- 8:53about it that gives like spooky season.
- 8:56I just find myself, I always read a lot more fantasy in the
- 9:01autumn months, especially when it's a series that is complete
- 9:05because I love just being able to.
- 9:07I'm at home so much more. I'm typically reading a lot
- 9:10more. I'm in bed earlier.
- 9:12So being able to like really binge through a series is
- 9:15perfect for me. And it's just a series I
- 9:16absolutely love. There's, you know, slow band
- 9:20tension like feisty female deadly trials that makes it
- 9:26sound quite trophy, but it isn't.
- 9:27It's just a really fantastic series and there's a new spin
- 9:32off that has just been releasing through this year, so there's
- 9:36plenty to really sink your teeth.
- 9:38Into Yeah, I've heard such good things about this series.
- 9:41I don't know a single person that doesn't like it who's read.
- 9:43It I don't know anyone Kyle's reading it at the moment.
- 9:46So he just finished book 1. He started book 2.
- 9:49This reading journey for Tor's husband like is the best thing
- 9:52ever started with Zodiac, right? No, it started with Akhtar.
- 9:56Started with Akhtar, then he's done Zodiac and 4th wing, 4th
- 10:00wing and now and now. Blood and steel, yeah.
- 10:03We love to see it. We do.
- 10:05That is a bookish. Husband.
- 10:07What Autumn book has stuck with you the longest?
- 10:11Should we say after three 1/2 Vampire Academy?
- 10:18It has to be Vampire Academy. You've probably, if you've
- 10:21watched any of these episodes, you've probably heard us mention
- 10:23it before. Austin and Abel TikTok.
- 10:25Yeah, because we both absolutely love Vampire Academy.
- 10:28It was Aya series in the 2000s that we both read at the time.
- 10:32Really like ignited our love for reading in the teen years around
- 10:35the same time as Twilight. We talked about it, but it's
- 10:39just it's just still great. On reread now it is.
- 10:43Like Bronte's done a full reread.
- 10:45I did like half the series reread in last year and intend
- 10:48to continue that reread this year and it's really perfect.
- 10:53I think for anyone that has read it or did read it in like in the
- 10:57noughties should should reread it because it's still just as
- 11:02good now and for anyone that didn't read it back then but
- 11:06that because and now as an adult like reading YA it's still so
- 11:11good. It really is.
- 11:12And like the because it's an Academy setting again, which is
- 11:16like this big gothic building called St.
- 11:18Vladimir's that's really gothic in itself and like Halloweeny.
- 11:22And then you have Rose, who is like a very feisty, strong
- 11:26minded main character and it's just got those.
- 11:32It almost reminds me of like a younger version of the
- 11:35Underworld movies in a way. I don't know why but.
- 11:39Just has that vibe. Yeah, just has that vibe.
- 11:41It's perfect for autumn. OK, so I have a question for
- 11:44you. OK, if you were plonked into the
- 11:48world of the book that you are reading right now, do you think
- 11:52you could survive it? Guys, I'm literally reading
- 11:56Alchemized. So if you've read Manacled or
- 12:00you're reading or have read Alchemized, then you know the
- 12:02answer is no, because it is the most brutal dystopian book ever.
- 12:09And I can't even say too much because she might read it at
- 12:13some point, but there is just no way I'm surviving that.
- 12:16I wouldn't even have the will to survive that.
- 12:18I would honestly just say see you and Chuck myself out a
- 12:21window and just be done with it. I don't.
- 12:23Yeah, I genuinely, I wouldn't want to survive that.
- 12:26And that's what makes that book so emotional anyway when you're
- 12:30reading it is because it's horrendous.
- 12:35What about you? Well, I'm, I'm reading two books
- 12:38a minute, but let's go off the one I'm actually reading in
- 12:41physical form. I'm reading On Wings of Blood by
- 12:45Briar Berlin, and I'm only about 20% into the book, so I'm not
- 12:51really sure what's going on, but I think I would, I like she's
- 12:55literally the start of the book. She like wakes up and she's in
- 12:57another world and something's happened to her in the world
- 12:59that she's from and she's dumped into this world where there are
- 13:03vampires and humans and she gets forced to be the consort of like
- 13:09the vampire Prince basically, and is going to this Academy,
- 13:14it's called Bloodwing Academy. And, and she's really getting
- 13:20pushed around as and I feel like I'm the type of person that
- 13:23thrives when people tell me I can't do something or try to put
- 13:26my back up against the wall. So I actually think I would
- 13:29thrive in that type of environment.
- 13:32I would be the FMC that just comes out swinging.
- 13:37I would not. I would run back to the world I
- 13:40was from. I already feel like I haven't
- 13:42even read the book and I know I won't survive.
- 13:44It's always been a dream of mine to learn how to fight really
- 13:47well, but I just refuse to pay for intense PT in that
- 13:49department. Oh.
- 13:50My God, you actually should though.
- 13:52You should. So obviously we're already in
- 13:55October now, like spooky season is underway.
- 13:59But what is on your spooky season TBR?
- 14:02Because you must be like planning it.
- 14:04Not right now. I am, I am OK.
- 14:07Book 1 is dire bound because everyone's been talking about
- 14:11it. It was our book club book.
- 14:13It was I'm the worst, worst book club admin ever.
- 14:18And I didn't read it. I didn't read it, but I've had
- 14:21really good things and Bronte is admin that I will absolutely
- 14:25love it because it's supposedly like 4th Wing vibes but with
- 14:29werewolves. So that's very high on the
- 14:31priority list. Yeah, it is.
- 14:33I will eat my fucking socks if she doesn't like this this book,
- 14:38because it is everything we love in romancy.
- 14:41Like really fast-paced Academy setting.
- 14:45I know great romance. It's actually not werewolves,
- 14:50but I won't say any more than that.
- 14:52But it's wolves. Yeah, I've.
- 14:54Got the wrong end of the stick and.
- 14:57Yeah, it's just really fun. Like it's not ground breaking or
- 15:00super unusual or anything, but it is so fucking fun.
- 15:05And I listen. I'll come back and eat my socks
- 15:08on camera if I have to. I almost want to hear.
- 15:12Just to watch you do that, Yeah. She's going to rate it two stars
- 15:14now because I've said that. Great.
- 15:17How about yours next one? So I need to read Neverkeep,
- 15:21guys, because Neverkeep has been on my TBR since last year and I
- 15:25said I was going to do it last spooky season, and then I
- 15:28didn't. And there's like a psychological
- 15:30element to this of why I'm not reading it.
- 15:33And that's A, because I have big book fear, and then B, because I
- 15:38have this weird thing with the Twisted Sisters books where it's
- 15:41like I actually don't want to finish their series because I
- 15:45don't want to ever feel like I have nothing to read of theirs
- 15:49or nothing to look forward to or like the feeling you get when
- 15:53you finish Zodiac. I don't want to feel that again.
- 15:56Yeah. So I I've noticed that I keep
- 15:58kind of subconsciously putting it off.
- 16:00And I've realized that's why. And that's why I've not finished
- 16:02Age of Vampires or Dundalkmal. Oh my God, yeah, I still need to
- 16:06finish the vampire. As long as I defend the dark
- 16:08more so. Fantastic.
- 16:09Yeah. I think that you will love it.
- 16:11Even though you're not a white choose person, I think that you
- 16:14will like dark. More and obviously we know well,
- 16:16I know two of the characters that are in it.
- 16:19Yeah, and I love them. And there are some really great
- 16:21sprinklings of characters. Yeah, yeah.
- 16:24Good. And that's the one of the best
- 16:26things about their books is the little Easter eggs and the
- 16:28crossover. But yeah, what else is on your
- 16:30TBR? So, so random.
- 16:32And it's not very like spooky season of me, but I need to read
- 16:37Wild Card by Elsie Silva. It is the final book in the Rose
- 16:42Hill series, but I'm going to Mexico in like well at the time
- 16:49I'm filming this I'm going to Mexico in like 2 weeks.
- 16:51So I've been saving some of my more like summary type romances
- 16:55like easy reads for while I'm there for by the pool.
- 16:58So that is randomly on my spooky season TVR this year I.
- 17:02Actually do kind of like to break up Autumn reads with like
- 17:06a little summary romance sometimes.
- 17:08Do you? I don't really like it at all.
- 17:10I'd never read oh I feel like MC Steel but it's a real like
- 17:14summer romance type of read. Like I will read some romances
- 17:18in between but typically like not something that feels like
- 17:21such a beach read do. You know what I mean?
- 17:23Yeah, I get what you mean. Hers are very summary, like Lila
- 17:26Sages as well. But I just kind of like having
- 17:28something that breaks up that like little kind of dark and not
- 17:31depressing, but just like a palate cleanser, I guess.
- 17:35Definitely my next one is actually more of a cozy 1.
- 17:38So that kind of ties in perfectly because it is Lila
- 17:41Sage is soul searching, which Tor has already read and I've
- 17:45been dying to get to. But like every time I'm about to
- 17:48pick it up, a new book club book comes or something like that or
- 17:51a buddy read or you know, I just keep like getting distracted
- 17:55from it. So it is definitely my next read
- 17:58after I finish alchemized, which I will finish tonight and will
- 18:02you? Yes, I've only got 20% left and
- 18:06and I'm just super excited for it because Rebel Blue Ranch is
- 18:09my all time favorite romance series.
- 18:11I would say especially in that small town sort of cowboy
- 18:16romance genre. Lila's writing and the way she
- 18:20puts in things about mental health and that kind of thing, I
- 18:24just, they always hit for me. So I'm really excited to have
- 18:27that, but then also add this like new and spooky paranormal
- 18:31element. Yeah, nice.
- 18:33Love this for you. Love this journey for.
- 18:35You I will keep you all updated on what I think.
- 18:37This will be my like, I'll eat my fucking socks if it doesn't
- 18:40like this book. Like it's so good.
- 18:43OK, so third, it's obviously not final book on my spooky season
- 18:47TBR, but Assassin's Apprentice, Yes, we will actually be buddy
- 18:53reading this together with our good friend Jamie.
- 18:56Yeah. So for those of you that don't
- 18:59know, this is a book by Robin Hobb and it spans a huge
- 19:03universe of books. And actually back story to this,
- 19:07I read her Rainwild Chronicles series, which is it a quartet?
- 19:13Not sure. Is that what it's called?
- 19:16So it's a four book series. At the time I didn't know it was
- 19:19from a wider universe of books, but I loved that series.
- 19:24So I've been meaning to go back to this series literally for
- 19:26years. So I'm very excited to actually
- 19:29go all the way back to the beginning and just to read some
- 19:33some proper fantasy. Yeah, there's so much romance
- 19:36out there and I love reading that.
- 19:38But I am like to my bones like born and bred on proper, like
- 19:43high fancy. So I'm really excited to dig
- 19:46into this. Yeah, I am really excited too.
- 19:48And I also feel like it's trending quite a lot on Book
- 19:50Talk at the minute. Like, I've seen it.
- 19:52I haven't seen it. Oh my gosh, I've seen so many
- 19:53people reading it and crying and like, so yeah, I really think
- 19:57we're going to love it. But my final, not final book on
- 20:02the TBR is Catabasis by RF Kwang.
- 20:05I have only read actually the Poppy War series by her.
- 20:09I haven't done Yellow face. I haven't done Babble.
- 20:11So I don't know how I'm going to be with this book, being that
- 20:14it's more like fantasy, dark academia rather than just
- 20:18straight fantasy like Poppy War is.
- 20:20But I'm really excited to try it.
- 20:22It is about two students who like journey into hell while
- 20:27they're studying. So that's.
- 20:28Quite an interesting concept I think.
- 20:31Yeah, I have seen really mixed reviews on it though.
- 20:34I've seen really mixed reviews. On it, Yeah.
- 20:36I've seen a lot of three stars and a lot of, like, DNFS, so I'm
- 20:39a little bit nervous. Yeah, that's neat.
- 20:42I know. I hope I like it, because that's
- 20:45cross for you. Yeah.
- 20:46And I loved Poppy Wars so much. But we'll see.
- 20:50I mean looking at our pics we're clearly not very horror ish
- 20:55girls, but are you planning on reading?
- 20:58Because you are more likely to read a bit of horror than I am.
- 21:01But have you got anything on your TBR this year that you're
- 21:03thinking you might read that's a little bit more?
- 21:06Yeah, I have actually. Actually, I've got a couple.
- 21:09So 1 is like romantic leaning into horror.
- 21:14And that is Eldritch, which is the sequel to Anathema.
- 21:19OK, so Tor hasn't read this yet. If you've read it, you know,
- 21:22like Anathema is very, very dark romantic fantasy and it has some
- 21:26like, body horror elements in it.
- 21:29I don't think it will scare you or anything, but it's just some
- 21:31things that you're like, oh, that's a bit darker than your
- 21:33typical romantic. So I am gonna hopefully do the
- 21:36sequel to that. Because I saw that on your
- 21:37hopeful. Yeah, and people have been
- 21:40saying that it's really good. And then my other one, I'm
- 21:43pretty sure it's called the Buffalo Hunter, it's like by
- 21:45Steven Graham. And that is actual horror.
- 21:49And it's about like a Native American ghost who is like
- 21:53haunting this land. And it's not my usual type of
- 21:57thing that I would read, but I've seen a lot of mutuals who
- 22:00do like that type of thing reading it on TikTok and their
- 22:04reviews like had me interested in it.
- 22:06So I thought if I had the chance and if I read my other things
- 22:10that are priority, I would delve into it and see what I think.
- 22:13Because I have read a couple of horror books the other past
- 22:17years and enjoyed them. Like I really liked Into the
- 22:20Drowning Deep by Mira Grant and Juniper and Thorn.
- 22:24So I do like horror when I go for it, but I just, it doesn't
- 22:28happen very often. Yeah, I, I mean, I don't really
- 22:32like reading horror at all. There are some that I have
- 22:35enjoyed like Juniper and Thorn, like Oh my God, what's it
- 22:40called? It's like the IKEA one horosaur.
- 22:42Oh yeah, the Grady is it Grady Hendrix like that was quite fun.
- 22:47And I do always think like I I must try another Grady Hendrix.
- 22:50My friend Amy loves them but I'm definitely more about I would
- 22:54like fantasy vibes in Halloween like Halloween season than I am
- 22:58like an actual horror. Like I don't watch it, I
- 23:00typically don't read it. Not really my bag.
- 23:04I like safety, security feelings.
- 23:06Yeah, I mean, it's weird because I actually watch quite a lot of
- 23:09horror, but I just don't find myself reading it.
- 23:12I don't know. It's too scary.
- 23:13Yeah, it's a weird one. Too scary.
- 23:15So speaking. Of horror shows, what are some
- 23:20of your like? Go to comfort films and TV shows
- 23:24this time of year. Well honestly one of them
- 23:27actually is a horror which is American Horror Story the TV
- 23:30show, but specifically seasons one to three.
- 23:34So season 1 which is Murder House, season 2 which is Asylum,
- 23:39and season 3 which is Coven. And that was just like peak mid
- 23:442000s TV. And I saw someone put it on
- 23:46books to grant me yesterday and I was like Oh my God I need to
- 23:49do another rework. But I've probably rewatched each
- 23:52of those seasons minimum three times.
- 23:55They are so good. They are scary though.
- 23:57Like season 1. I actually rewatched that last
- 24:01year and I thought how did I watch that by myself for like
- 24:0416? I actually did watch that as
- 24:06well, believe it or not. Did you have?
- 24:08Three seasons. Yeah, I did watch the first
- 24:10three seasons and never carried it on.
- 24:14I mean, the real truth of the matter is I was such a Stoner
- 24:17back then. I probably just like, blacked
- 24:20out and didn't dream at all. But they did freak me out.
- 24:23And I remember thinking that Season 1 was very clever.
- 24:26Yes, it was. Season 2 was just pure creepy to
- 24:30me. Yeah, season.
- 24:31I don't actually think I finished season 3 and I don't
- 24:34actually know why. Season 3 was one of my
- 24:38favourites because of the witchy vibes and like the Stevie Nicks
- 24:40scene and stuff like that obviously.
- 24:42Oh my God, I'm literally wearing a Fleetwood Mac T-shirt.
- 24:44But that wasn't even planned, guys.
- 24:46Just saying. But yeah, I just think every
- 24:50season obviously highlights like a different part of Halloween as
- 24:53well, like witches, ghost houses.
- 24:56Like it is there is a season mental asylum.
- 24:59Yeah, the circuses. There's a season for absolutely
- 25:02everything. And the way that they bring the
- 25:04cast back and like even the costumes and stuff in especially
- 25:08the Covent season, I just love it isn't.
- 25:11Kim. Was she in like last season?
- 25:13Yeah, she's in. She's in the newer one with Emma
- 25:16Roberts. I can't remember what it's
- 25:17called. I can't remember which one it
- 25:19is. I've not actually.
- 25:20Watched that one Spider woman or something.
- 25:22Yeah, but she's also like a manager.
- 25:24Like she's basically playing Chris Jenner.
- 25:27Like she's playing Chris Jenner, but she's apparently she's
- 25:29really good in it. I haven't seen that one.
- 25:31I've stopped watching them because they all started to get
- 25:33not as good. I stopped after Apocalypse.
- 25:37Apocalypse wasn't very good for me, but I did like Hotel Lady
- 25:40Gaga. That one was good.
- 25:41I did see bits of that on on TV but just like I didn't actually
- 25:45watch. It that one was really creepy,
- 25:46actually. I mean, I like we've just said,
- 25:49I'm not a horror person. I don't like things that pull me
- 25:52out of my comfort zone and scare me.
- 25:53I'm all about comfort in in these winter months.
- 26:00Practical Magic is an absolute must for me.
- 26:03Practical Magic is literally fucking peak spooky season
- 26:08watching. I remember watching it when it
- 26:10first came out and I think I've watched it every year since.
- 26:14I just absolutely love it so much.
- 26:19Yeah. Oh my God, It's.
- 26:20I actually didn't watch it until I was like 21.
- 26:24Yeah, because I I feel like it's one that I still find this now
- 26:27actually it's not really on streaming services.
- 26:30No, it's not. I think it is on Amazon this
- 26:32year though guys. I'm pretty sure I've seen it on
- 26:35there. I might have to watch that soon
- 26:37then. But yes, such a good film and
- 26:39like Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock both.
- 26:41Great. So good.
- 26:42I love them in anything they're in, and you've actually reminded
- 26:45me I was going to pick something else, but now I'm like, how
- 26:47could I not say this? And that's hocus pocus because
- 26:50that is what me and my sister watch every year probably as
- 26:53long as I can remember. I think I've talked on here
- 26:56before about how Max was like my first crush.
- 27:01I'm pretty sure I have and it's true he was but just it's so
- 27:06funny. Like I feel like it although
- 27:08it's so old now it still makes me laugh like it's not dated if
- 27:12that makes sense. Yeah, I do not.
- 27:13Well, IA bit like you have practical magic.
- 27:16I didn't watch Hocus Pocus until.
- 27:19I don't think I've watched it since I was in my 30s.
- 27:21Wow. Maybe I'd like seen it on, but I
- 27:24never actually sat down and watched it.
- 27:26I think the first time I actually sat down and watched
- 27:28the whole thing start to finish that I can recall was a couple
- 27:33of years ago when Zola was maybe like 3.
- 27:36So maybe like 2 years ago. Oh my goodness, I sat down and
- 27:39watched it. I had like my best friend and
- 27:40her kids over and we made a little den in the living room
- 27:43and watched it Zola. And when I put it on I was like,
- 27:46is this going to freak her out? But she really enjoyed it and
- 27:48we've watched, we've watched it a couple of times.
- 27:50Since yeah, I love that one. And Sarah Jessica Parker, when
- 27:54she does the little song and the song that Bette Midler sings,
- 27:59it's so fun and camp and just silly, goofy old SO.
- 28:03Much fun, yeah. Yeah, what about?
- 28:05Have you got anything else? I mean, my other comforts first
- 28:09would be Vampire Diaries. I rewatch every year.
- 28:14I wouldn't say I don't have as much time for TV these days as I
- 28:17used to. I literally used to rewatch the
- 28:19whole thing every year and The Originals could always just have
- 28:22it on as background noise. But now obviously I read a lot
- 28:24more and there's so much other things going on.
- 28:26But I do always put it on through autumn and it's like my
- 28:29background because I just know what's going on all the time.
- 28:33And it it does give like it does give spooky seasons. 100.
- 28:36Percent like it. It just is.
- 28:38I don't know so many people that like it's Autumn, like I'm
- 28:40putting Vampire Diaries. On yeah, I'm I'm one of those
- 28:43too. Like I maybe don't do the full
- 28:44season show what's like me now, yeah, I'll just put my favorite
- 28:48episodes on or whatever, but it's Mystic falls like that.
- 28:52How could that not be Autumn fall falls like.
- 28:55And it's just so witchy. Yeah.
- 28:58Like Bonnie's storylines and like, the originals as well.
- 29:02When it's in the New Orleans, I mean.
- 29:04Yeah, that gives like great spooky season 5.
- 29:07Yeah, I actually feel like I might go home and watch that
- 29:09tonight because I'm just thinking about it now do.
- 29:11You know what I used to like my friend Amy used to literally
- 29:14call me. Like if she had had like a bad
- 29:16day or she was on her period, she wanted to cry.
- 29:19She'd always call me. But like, what episode is this?
- 29:21I need to have a good cry. And I'd be like, oh, it's season
- 29:233, episode 19. It's season 4, episode 2.
- 29:26Do you know what you mean? Like literally how obsessed I
- 29:30was. Not a talent because there's
- 29:32about 20 episodes per season as well so.
- 29:35Bad. Honestly, my final one is like
- 29:39tours that you've heard me talk about it.
- 29:41It's a comfort watch. I watch it every single year.
- 29:44I'm deep in my rewatch right now and that is Gilmore Girls.
- 29:49Honestly, I feel like 90% of people other than Tor have seen
- 29:53it at this point. So I'm not going to talk about
- 29:55it too long and rattle your ear off, especially because we've
- 29:57definitely talked about it on here before.
- 30:00But just know that the most important thing is that I am
- 30:02team Jess. OK, I actually comment below
- 30:06what team you are, Dean, Jess, or Logan.
- 30:09But if you're Logan, you're wrong, sorry.
- 30:12It's true, you are. This feels like a whole like it.
- 30:18Literally is like picking Logan is the equivalent of picking
- 30:21Jeremiah in my eyes. Oh my God, I do need to watch.
- 30:24I probably never will end up doing it.
- 30:26I keep saying I'm going to do it and then I just don't.
- 30:29But it's just because I don't watch TV.
- 30:31It's such a, it feels like such a huge.
- 30:32Commitment, yeah, but you could definitely have that on in the
- 30:35background while you're working from home because it's such an
- 30:37easy watch. Yeah, OK, fair.
- 30:39You won't like miss anything important, you know.
- 30:41OK, so I think you could do it. My final one is not spooky at
- 30:46all, but as we've touched on multiple times, I'm all about
- 30:49the comfort, especially in these months because I always feel so
- 30:53on edge and like my just like my favorite.
- 30:57I think it's probably my favorite film ever currently,
- 31:01and that's anyone but you. Yeah.
- 31:03He didn't even like it. I just love I so I grew up
- 31:08watching like when when people were kids and they were watching
- 31:11Cartoon Network, I was watching much do about nothing.
- 31:14Like I was a big fan of it from a very young age.
- 31:17The Kenneth Branagh Emma Thompson version.
- 31:20Oh so good. And it was so funny.
- 31:22The first time I watched it, I was watching anyone.
- 31:24But you're thinking this is this is giving me this is giving me
- 31:29much to do about nothing but. And it wasn't until the very end
- 31:32that I even realized it was a remake.
- 31:35Yeah, much to do about nothing, but I just love it.
- 31:37I can. I could rewatch it once a week
- 31:40easily and not get bored of it. Just makes me feel like all
- 31:43mushy, gushy and happy inside. Yeah, I I'm like that with
- 31:46Clueless and Devil as Prada, to be fair.
- 31:48Like those are the ROM coms that I can just rewatch any day of
- 31:51the week. And any time of year.
- 31:53But sorry, the way you said Brunty didn't even like that one
- 31:57was so sad. Like you sounded so sad about
- 32:00it. I felt so bad.
- 32:01About the fact that she didn't like Chestnut Springs as well.
- 32:03I just she just when she I think she does on purpose to upset me.
- 32:08No, she knows I'm a crybaby. You know, because when I
- 32:11actually put anyone but you on, I was like, Oh my God.
- 32:14I think I'm like very at the beginning of the film, I was
- 32:17like, Oh my God, I think I'm going to hate this.
- 32:18And then I'm going to have to tell her that I hate this.
- 32:20And she's going to think I'm doing it on purpose at this
- 32:22point because it's like specifically romance things you
- 32:27like. It feels targeted at this point,
- 32:29but I promise it's not. We do just have we very similar
- 32:33like fantasy vibes. We typically mesh well on the
- 32:37romance things. We just have very different
- 32:40standard into what we like. Tor just likes the happy good
- 32:45times, which is great, but I need a little bit more.
- 32:50So as we've established, I don't watch new TV shows, I just watch
- 32:54the same stuff until I'm so bored of it I couldn't possibly
- 32:56watch it again. So you as the, what do you call
- 33:01it, a cinephile? Cinephile, the cinephile of the
- 33:05team. What are you planning on
- 33:08watching the spooky season? Like new upcoming things that
- 33:11you want to watch that other people that might be into stuff
- 33:13might want to watch? So I haven't actually found any
- 33:17specific TV shows with spooky vibes that I want to watch
- 33:20because Wednesday's already like, been and done.
- 33:22I have one. What go on?
- 33:24I have one. Who's the girl that you said
- 33:30Zola looks like? Alexandra Daderi.
- 33:32Yes, there's a new show on Netflix.
- 33:35Mayfair witches. Mayfair witches, it looks.
- 33:38Really good. I don't know too much about it,
- 33:40but I think she's like human and finds out that her family maybe
- 33:43I like witches or have like supernatural abilities or
- 33:45something along those lines. It kind of what I've seen of it.
- 33:50It's giving me HMRC vibes actually.
- 33:53Yeah. And that's just been added onto
- 33:55Netflix. So actually I lied.
- 33:56That is something I do want. Yes, and that you've reminded
- 33:58me. I put that on my list the other
- 34:00day because it does look really good.
- 34:02Yeah, and also the actress looks like an adult version of what
- 34:05Tours daughter looks like. It's trippy anyway, but one
- 34:09thing I am really excited to watch and it's not like strictly
- 34:12autumn vibes, but it is at the same time.
- 34:14If it's going to be anything like what it's based on is House
- 34:17of Guinness. So I don't know if you've seen
- 34:19the trailer or anything on TikTok, but this is about the
- 34:22Guinness family in Dublin and it's like their origin story but
- 34:27it's fictionalized. Obviously it's not a documentary
- 34:31and it's by SO. A bit like that Menendez
- 34:34Brothers series. Monsters.
- 34:35Yeah. Yeah, Kind of like that.
- 34:38And it's by the creators of Peaky Blinders.
- 34:40So it's got that. Like I've only watched 5 minutes
- 34:44of episode 1 at the minute because I really wanted to watch
- 34:47it, but I put it on and I was like, I can't stop thinking
- 34:50about anything other than my Shameless USA rewatch that I'm
- 34:52doing. So I was like, I'm going to save
- 34:54it until I finish that. And it immediately had those
- 34:58similar Peaky Blinders vibes of like, miserable weather, cobbled
- 35:03streets. And I don't know what time
- 35:07period it's set in directly directly, but it's obviously
- 35:09like old. So yeah, that was kind of given
- 35:12autumn in a sense, exciting. And then movies.
- 35:16We have Frankenstein coming. I have seen the trailer for
- 35:20this. I'm super excited about this
- 35:22because. It's really creepy.
- 35:23Yeah, and it's Guillermo del Toro who is the guy that did
- 35:27Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, like massive, kind of
- 35:30creepy ish film director. And I'm really surprised that
- 35:35this is not getting a theatrical release and it's going to
- 35:37Netflix. But I actually quite like that
- 35:38because we'll be able to like, well, I don't know if you're
- 35:40gonna watch it, but we'll be able to watch it at home with
- 35:42like a blanket and. I will watch it after you've
- 35:45watched. It and I tell you if it's scary
- 35:47or not. Yeah, yeah, I can deal with
- 35:52scary. It's when it gets too
- 35:55psychological and jumpy that I just can't.
- 35:59Yeah, cope. Because then I think someone's
- 36:01going to fucking jump through my patio door windows in the middle
- 36:05of the night. Yeah, I actually, the thing that
- 36:08I the only thing really I struggle with in horror is jumpy
- 36:11moments. Yeah, I just feel like I'm
- 36:13having a fucking heart attack. So I'm excited for that.
- 36:16And also my husband's the main character, Jacob Bellady.
- 36:20Yes, I did see that. As well.
- 36:21Love him. And then this isn't new, but I
- 36:25have still not seen Nosferatu. What's that?
- 36:28That is the one that came out last year with Johnny Depp's
- 36:32daughter Lily Depp. It has Aaron Taylor Johnson,
- 36:36Nicholas Holt, and it's Nosferatu is like an old film
- 36:42based on Dracula, and it's like a remake.
- 36:46And it's meant to be really, really good, but really creepy.
- 36:48And I've seen it's come on now TV, so I'm going to finally
- 36:50watch it. I think that one is scary.
- 36:52I don't know, film. Yeah.
- 36:54Yeah. And then, guys, I still need to
- 36:57watch Sinners as well. You know, the Michael B Jordan
- 37:00one that came out at the start of this year.
- 37:02You see it? Oh yeah.
- 37:04Vampires. Did look good.
- 37:06Yeah, did look good. Everyone says that's amazing and
- 37:08I think it's about twin vampires, so I really want to
- 37:12see that. And then we'd watch it just for
- 37:13Michael B, wouldn't we? Yeah, literally great casting
- 37:17choice. And then this is one that I've
- 37:20seen, but I was just going to recommend it actually because I
- 37:23think it's quite a good Halloween watch.
- 37:24And that is Weapons. If you haven't seen Weapons,
- 37:27that's a recent horror film that's just come to cinema if
- 37:30you don't know. And that is slightly more of
- 37:33like a jumpy one, like a jump scare horror.
- 37:35But it was actually really fucking funny as well.
- 37:38There was like so many bits that made me laugh and like our
- 37:40friend Amy watched it and she texted me about all the bits
- 37:42that she laughed at as well. So it's kind of a weird
- 37:44Halloweeny, a funny one to watch.
- 37:47Like Halloween, like when I think like funny Halloween it I
- 37:50just think of the scary movie films and me and my sister
- 37:53always will be talking to each other about something and be
- 37:55like I'm a shame these whiles right?
- 37:57I fucking love it. It's so.
- 38:01Funny take, my Yeah, isn't the guy that says that he's in
- 38:08American Horror Story, isn't he? Is he?
- 38:11I'm sure it's him, I might be wrong.
- 38:14I don't know, I just, I would never like sit and watch those
- 38:17films now, I don't think they're not the type of thing I would
- 38:20sit and watch. But me and my sister did used to
- 38:22like watching them and we just come out with like little lines
- 38:25from all the time and we just. Think it's so funny.
- 38:28Yeah. Film like comedies like that are
- 38:30so quotable. So true.
- 38:32Yeah. So I have a good question
- 38:34actually. If you could live in any
- 38:36fictional world for autumn, or like an autumn fictional world,
- 38:39which would you pick? This is gonna sound so bog
- 38:43standard because it's literally where I live anyway, okay.
- 38:49But like very secret site of irregular witches like that,
- 38:53like cozy cottage, like British countryside.
- 38:58Yeah. Because I truly believe that
- 39:01England is one of the best places to be for autumn like you
- 39:04can. Decide the.
- 39:04Season of it, you know what I mean?
- 39:07Whereas like, you know where some places it's already
- 39:10freezing cold by an hour, it's still hot.
- 39:11Like you get the real autumn feel of the season change in
- 39:17England. And we have so many green spaces
- 39:19that like, you do really get so many like brown and golds.
- 39:23And yeah, I totally get that. And she specifically lives in
- 39:25Brighton I think, which is like best of both worlds in that it's
- 39:30England and countryside and autumn vibes.
- 39:32But you also do have the beach. So like an autumn little beach
- 39:34walk. Cute.
- 39:36I know what I would pick, and it's the same answer as I would
- 39:39pick for any time anyone asks me what fictional world I want to
- 39:42live in. And that is the Shire, because I
- 39:45want to be with Sam eating potatoes second breakfast.
- 39:49I bet they have the best cinnamon rolls there too.
- 39:51Oh my. God I bet they have the best
- 39:53cinnamon. Rolls and I wouldn't have to
- 39:55have a fireplace on my TV because I'd have a real 1.
- 39:58Oh yeah, OK, fair. I totally get.
- 40:00Yeah, that's all decent. The only other place would be
- 40:03Stars Hollow and Gilmore Girls, but you need to watch that to
- 40:05find out why, OK? Fine, fine, fine.
- 40:08I'm gonna watch it. I'm gonna watch it.
- 40:09So other than books and movies, what else do you love about
- 40:13Autumn? I love all the things about
- 40:16autumn, I love the clothes. Just all the things guys, I love
- 40:19all. The things I yeah, I love the
- 40:22clothes. I love the home decor.
- 40:24Like I was instantly in September, I was like pulling
- 40:27everything off off all of the accessories around my house,
- 40:30like putting all the little orangey bits out.
- 40:33And my pumpkins, I love so specific.
- 40:36They're like the smell of the seasonal candles.
- 40:40I love, like those pumpkin smells, those vanilla Chai
- 40:44smells like oh, I just, if I could have them all year round
- 40:47and it'd not be weird like I would.
- 40:49I love them. So I actually sometimes do like
- 40:51there's a candle that B&M specifically do, it's called
- 40:53sugar doughnut and I have that all year round from that it's.
- 40:57So delicious. There's 2Y smells, one that I
- 41:02cannot get anywhere anymore and it was like called like sweet
- 41:04almond cookie or something that I used to absolutely adore.
- 41:09And there was another one that got last year that I haven't
- 41:11found this year or they haven't specifically haunted for extra
- 41:14the shop in town anymore, but they do.
- 41:16They used to do a banana bread wax smell.
- 41:19Oh my good God it was the best smelling thing I have ever
- 41:25smelled. I feel like we're both obsessed
- 41:27with banana bread things, and that leads me on to something
- 41:30that is my current favorite thing about autumn fixation.
- 41:33Yeah, which is the banana bread iced matcha latte from Blank St.
- 41:39It's so good. It's honestly unreal, isn't it?
- 41:42Yeah, it is. I had one the other day.
- 41:44She I was outside Blank St. She was like told me about it.
- 41:47I didn't know anything about it. It's so good and The thing is it
- 41:51doesn't even really taste of matcha.
- 41:53So like you're not really getting your matcha fixed
- 41:55because the banana part is so overpowering, but it's so funny
- 41:58I. Wonder if they put that syrup in
- 42:00a coffee. Yeah, I don't know.
- 42:03It would be nice though. They also do another one that I
- 42:05need to try which is like apple butter but I feel like that
- 42:08might not be as nice. I'm not really an Apple Gap.
- 42:10Yeah, I'm a bit on you. Did make it at home though,
- 42:13didn't you? I did and it was super easy.
- 42:15I'll quickly tell you. I did just a normal match of
- 42:17latte and then I blended half a banana in a blender with some
- 42:21oat milk, nutmeg, cinnamon and then I frothed it and then
- 42:25poured it on top like cold foam and it was delish.
- 42:28Maybe we should do a little one. Yeah.
- 42:31I've got all the things here we would need to have those TikTok
- 42:34coming soon to a place near you. We're gonna make fun.
- 42:40Yeah. Yeah.
- 42:43And I just. Yeah, all just all the freaking
- 42:45autumn things. I do especially love autumn
- 42:48fashion. Yeah, and I have to say I have
- 42:51made a very specific pact with myself this year that I am
- 42:55wearing my autumn clothes because as Bronte knows, I am
- 42:59terrible for living in my active wear.
- 43:01Oh, school runs and stuff. It's just so easy for me to get
- 43:04into leggings, trainers, like I'm going to be going out for a
- 43:06walk in the day gym. So I do tend to just live in
- 43:10active work, especially as I'm a homeworker.
- 43:12I don't have to go into the office or anything.
- 43:13But this year I've been very much like I need to wear my
- 43:17clothes because I have so many really nice autumn pieces, so
- 43:21many cute outfits. I love fashion but I just live
- 43:25in my gym clothes. Yeah, I'm the same because like,
- 43:28we're both homeworkers and I feel like you just don't get as
- 43:31much opportunity to make an effort with your physical
- 43:34appearance as you do when you're in the office.
- 43:36It's really hard to motivate yourself to do makeup in a cute
- 43:38outfit just to sit at home all day.
- 43:40But I'm the same. I love autumn fashion.
- 43:43I feel like it's when my colours come in as well, like
- 43:45burgundies, cranberries, rust black, like those are for a lot
- 43:50of the tones that I like to wear and really, really like dark
- 43:53green this year as well. So yeah.
- 43:57And then also just I love like big chunky boots and those come
- 44:01in and then, yeah, it's just like the perfect time for me.
- 44:04And I would rather be cold than hot.
- 44:06So I like that kind of element of the fashion as well.
- 44:09Yeah, love this for us. Yeah.
- 44:13So obviously we are already in autumn, but have you got
- 44:17anything that you want to do as like a bucket list autumn plan
- 44:21this year I. Do I do?
- 44:23And I feel like I'm having to really cram everything in
- 44:25because I literally leave the country on the 20th for two
- 44:28weeks. So the reality of me getting
- 44:32around to doing some of this is so unlikely.
- 44:35But I really wanted to have never.
- 44:37I keep seeing it on TikTok, those like, girly nights where
- 44:40they do like pumpkin painting. Yeah.
- 44:42It looks like so much fun. I really want to try and do
- 44:44that. But I guess you could do that in
- 44:47November. Do you know what?
- 44:48It doesn't need to be done this early out walking so much this
- 44:53year. So I'm just really looking
- 44:54forward to when it really starts to get very like orange and
- 44:57yellows and Reds outside to just go and having some like nice
- 45:00cold walk, like long walks in the words, like I'm all about
- 45:03that. Yeah.
- 45:05And the other thing I think I mentioned in our last episode, I
- 45:08really want to bake a bit more this year.
- 45:10Yeah, the kids are really at an age where they can really, like,
- 45:14help and love it now. So I really want to do some,
- 45:18like, good autumn baking this year.
- 45:20Banana breads, cinnamon rolls, like all those types of things.
- 45:24I keep seeing like these on Pinterest, these like pumpkin
- 45:29cream cheese frosted cookies. Yeah, that looks so good.
- 45:34Yeah. So yeah, bit of baking as well
- 45:35as on my on my bucket list this autumn.
- 45:38Yeah, mine's similar to yours. I really want to do more.
- 45:42Not necessarily baking, but cooking.
- 45:45I want to try and find some like new autumn recipes and stuff.
- 45:48I actually did start that already.
- 45:49I made a new soup the other day and it was actually really
- 45:51tasty. So I'm off to a good start with
- 45:53that. And then other than that, I
- 45:55don't actually have any like specific things that I want
- 45:58wanna do. But I did realize through the
- 46:00day that I've never been to a pumpkin patch.
- 46:03I mean. I really wanna go to one but I
- 46:05have been to 1 and they are so much fun.
- 46:07Yeah. And you've got a few near you.
- 46:08In there, there is so much. Fun Tullies.
- 46:11Yeah, I think so, yeah. So I was like, maybe I could
- 46:14convince my friend Ellie to go, but other than that, this is
- 46:18like, not autumn specific to probably anyone else.
- 46:21But for me, when I think of autumn and winter, I think of
- 46:23ice hockey season because last year a few of our mutual friends
- 46:28and I went to hockey quite regularly because it's like near
- 46:31where we all live. And we're gonna do that in
- 46:34November this year. And I'm really, really excited
- 46:36for that. My God, nice.
- 46:38Yeah, I'd love this for you. I just associate now, like
- 46:40autumn with going into the arena, ice hockey coming out and
- 46:43it being all cold and I was like walking back together.
- 46:46It's just a nice little kind of tradition now.
- 46:48I love this. Do you know what one thing that
- 46:51we didn't touch on, but you just reminded me from your wanting to
- 46:54cook more? It's actually one of my favorite
- 46:56things about autumn is the food. Yeah, so basic and not for you
- 47:01because you're veggie, but cottage pie, shepherd's pie,
- 47:05like casseroles with dumplings. I do make a mean veg Stew to
- 47:09beef. Well, I was going to.
- 47:10Say like my mom actually used to make vegetarian shepherd's pie
- 47:16and cottage pie with corn mince all the time and I do fucking
- 47:19love it. It's just, it's just like that,
- 47:21Like it's cold outside, it's warm, it's hearty like that,
- 47:24just like really like British winter food.
- 47:27It's just oh so good. And then Mashed potato on top.
- 47:31Like I feel like Mashed potato in winter just elevates any
- 47:34meals. So true.
- 47:35And especially if there's loads of butter in it.
- 47:38Yeah. Oh God, I love potatoes.
- 47:40Now. I really do sound like Sam from
- 47:42Lord of the Rings. Amazing.
- 47:46Well, that was all of our all of our favorite autumn things.
- 47:49Yeah. If you have any similarities,
- 47:52please tell us. And anything that you freaking
