- 0:45So lots and lots of listeners. Lots of people giving us great
- 0:49feedback about the show and I'm so happy you're here.
- 0:51Think you've been on our list for a long time, even on it was
- 0:54for a long time, so everyone. Okay.
- 0:59Well, I can't wait to get into that my first list of amazing
- 1:03podcast. I mean using.
- 1:04Yes, yes. So, this is London.
- 1:06The six-figure at Sea. Yes, you want to formally
- 1:09introduce yourself to everyone. Yeah, I'm London, I'm an
- 1:11aesthetician here in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- 1:14And last year, I officially became a six-figure associate
- 1:17high five. Yeah, amazing, amazing.
- 1:19And so much more than just that, but that is a huge celebration,
- 1:24knowing we met in like 2014. Yeah, we met 15 when did you go
- 1:29through? Um I think your head 2015.
- 1:34Yeah. 15 2015. Okay so we've known each other a
- 1:37long time. It has for a long time and it's
- 1:38been a journey. I got it has been crazy.
- 1:43That's crazy. And just, we were talking before
- 1:44the show that, you know, your life and how its transformed
- 1:47even really since coat. But.
- 1:49Yeah. And we knew each other, even
- 1:51some in 2015 cheering, I mean, my life is just completely Like
- 1:58180. Yeah.
- 1:59I mean it's amazing. Absolutely amazing.
- 2:02We're going to talk about that on the show.
- 2:03Yeah. Okay.
- 2:04So who there's a listener. This is my belief.
- 2:06Okay. There is an and this is a win
- 2:09for me. So how do I determine success
- 2:11for this shows that there's one person today that listens to
- 2:14this episode with you specifically because I can talk
- 2:17all day long. My hair for me all the time but
- 2:20you is the guest you're going to speak to someone a day and
- 2:23they're going to alter the course of their life because
- 2:26they heard from you today, And I love that.
- 2:28And I believe that's I'm talking to you.
- 2:30Whoever you are right now, whether you're driving to work
- 2:32or home from work, or you're at home, and the kids are driving.
- 2:35You crazy, or you're an aesthetician, and you're getting
- 2:39ready for your next client, whatever.
- 2:40The case the show is for you. Yes, cool.
- 2:43Yes, love it. What is your clear intention for
- 2:46the show today, London? Um, my clear intention for this
- 2:49show is to speak for my heart, to be authentic, to Aspire to
- 2:56inspire Fire and just be real. The always inspired me.
- 3:01Thank you. Yeah, it was the same way about
- 3:03you. You always leave me feeling
- 3:04happy, mmm. Yeah, thank you.
- 3:06Yeah, always. Okay, so let's start today.
- 3:10You're an esthetician in Las Vegas and this year or 2022,
- 3:152022 was your first six-figure year.
- 3:17Yes! 2022 is my sixth.
- 3:19My first six-figure year. I just open my own studio and
- 3:24I'm on track to make six figures actually more.
- 3:27This year. Yeah, that's fucking awesome.
- 3:33Really crazy because I remember when I first started Aesthetics.
- 3:39Um, I mean, just a prerequisite, I am getting over tonsillitis,
- 3:46so if I have to do, we offer, give you Micah, I'll do that.
- 3:50But when I first became license, I had really severe cystic acne.
- 3:55I almost didn't finish school. I remember one of the girls in
- 3:58school. I like talking down to me a
- 4:00little bit because I had such bad acne and she was asking me
- 4:04like how I expected to have clients or how I act expected to
- 4:08be able to help people if I can even help myself and it's really
- 4:11hard. I remember going home that day
- 4:14and just like crying to my mom and my mom.
- 4:17Honestly, that's going to help you relate to your people much
- 4:20more, and you're going to be able to understand where they're
- 4:22coming from. So if I didn't have that talk of
- 4:24my mom, I probably wouldn't have finished school.
- 4:27But I remember joining Facebook groups, specifically one called
- 4:31the six-figure aesthetician and like every like every week I was
- 4:35going on there. Like looking okay.
- 4:37How did these people do? And people would post like,
- 4:39screenshots I made two thousand dollars is here, I'm a four
- 4:41thousand dollars is the or this week like you're not, huh, this
- 4:44much money and we can remember feeling so inspired by that.
- 4:46So the fact that I made six figures last year and I'm on
- 4:50track to me, or I mean, six figures that make more than I
- 4:54made last year is like, it's insane independent to yes,
- 5:00independent independent. So, there's a stat out there.
- 5:03One of my business coaches throughout the state when I was
- 5:05on her podcast, but less than 6%.
- 5:08Of female business owners. Make six figures.
- 5:11That's insane, isn't it crazy of all then?
- 5:13They all the amazing women out there.
- 5:15Running businesses, six figures, something happens.
- 5:18Because when I talk to women and I'm like, how much money do you
- 5:20want to make? And they, the first thing they
- 5:22say, is 62 years, something in our brain.
- 5:25There's something prestigious about that.
- 5:27And that we've we've done something by making that amount
- 5:30of money. Because the truth is that most
- 5:32women will never make that amount that amount of money.
- 5:35And I know that there's a lot that goes into that as a
- 5:36business owner where it's not Take home.
- 5:38We don't take all of that home, but fact, that your business is
- 5:42that you're 31 years old. When did you start as an
- 5:45aesthetician? I want to just say real quick
- 5:47sees me. She's clearing her throat.
- 5:50Next figure is take home for me, I would stay calm for you.
- 5:53Okay, high five even bigger high, five this year, my
- 5:56take-home also be six figures. Okay, got you, okay good.
- 5:58Oh no, thank you. Thank you for clarifying that.
- 6:00Sorry, what was your question? Nothing we're done.
- 6:03That was it? So on top of your Expenses, your
- 6:08take-home is six figures. Amazing, so cool.
- 6:12It's I mean I can't I it's almost I feel sometimes it's
- 6:16hard to wrap my mind around, but I think that my relationship
- 6:21over the past like 10 years with money has changed.
- 6:24And I mean, you said that you were you ask your, your people,
- 6:29what their take home is or like with what they want to make,
- 6:31yeah, what their goal is and it's six figures and we get
- 6:35there and then the next six years and the next six figures
- 6:37and then two million and all of the things where I was
- 6:40originally going with that is, how long have you been in the
- 6:42industry? So, I've been in the industry
- 6:45since 2010. So I started as a small
- 6:49concierge, I was working at Starbucks before entering kids
- 6:53with autism and I just decided that I wanted to try something
- 6:57different and just randomly applied for a spa and Spa
- 7:00manager. Just loved me.
- 7:02And I'm so thankful that she gave me the opportunity because
- 7:06I really was able to just fall in love with the world and the
- 7:09spa world and is tree and then I got licensed in 2004. 18, I
- 7:14believe almost 10 years now. It's 10 years.
- 7:17Yeah, so it's been a journey, it has been.
- 7:19And even before that like we talked about on our show is that
- 7:23for any, any successful woman that's come on to my show.
- 7:26There's a back story. Yes.
- 7:27And factually, every successful woman backstory, taking a step
- 7:32back and sharing some of that story.
- 7:34And then we'll talk about all the amazing things that you're
- 7:36doing and yet, or creating. Okay, we're done.
- 7:39I was born in Cedar City Utah, okay?
- 7:41Yeah, really small town. Yeah, super small bag.
- 7:44Then but now they have a stoplight and there and when I
- 7:48went back I think this is I think got it.
- 7:50They got to stop by in a Walmart like maybe 10 years ago but I
- 7:53had gone back and was driving through.
- 7:55Mainstream was like oh my gosh there's a stoplight here.
- 7:58Oh my gosh, there's a long way, this is so cool.
- 8:00Yeah, it's drunk so much but it's a cool Town City Cedar.
- 8:03City is kind of like the pass through their head.
- 8:05Hmm. Yeah that's it.
- 8:08He's just a lot of fun stuff to do camping and like it's done.
- 8:14So I was born in Cedar City but I'm from Yuma Arizona.
- 8:17The really, really small towns like a agricultural town, but my
- 8:21whole family is out there still out there.
- 8:24When did you move to Vegas? I moved to Vegas when I was
- 8:29seven. Eight.
- 8:31Okay. What was like life like growing
- 8:33up? Um, I feel like I have two
- 8:39perspectives of that, but I could step into the challenging
- 8:43parts. And then the really fun part has
- 8:46I had, let's talk about both. Yeah, okay.
- 8:49I was really fortunate that. My mom really tried everything
- 8:54that she could to just give us the best life, like my sister,
- 8:57and I like, I was actually supposed by schools on the way
- 8:59over here. Yeah, that was my first concert
- 9:02and I remember thinking like, oh my gosh, my mom is like working
- 9:04her butt off so she can give me like these cool.
- 9:06Things like the coolest experiences like we went to
- 9:09Disneyland all the time like but it's so much fun.
- 9:12So many fun activities so that was really cool.
- 9:17I think that. So when I when we were living in
- 9:21Yuma I was around the reservation and from my
- 9:25perspective that was fun, she's clearing throat.
- 9:28Sorry, that's okay, because it was a good sense of community.
- 9:34I didn't have you know as a kid so I don't have any Those ideas
- 9:40or anything that was really going on like in a quote real
- 9:42world. Yeah, but when we moved to
- 9:47Vegas, I know that my mom and my dad were struggling financially.
- 9:52I think that they did a pretty good job.
- 9:53Not really letting us know that too much but we don't live in a
- 9:57good area when we first moved here and Momi finally had moved
- 10:01to a better. Part of town things are getting
- 10:04really scary her house and There is some, like, not very good
- 10:09things happening in the neighborhood was, like, police
- 10:12tape, and they are, that's so, I mean, my parents really hustled
- 10:17to do what they could to get us into a good area and keep us in
- 10:20a good area. And I mean, shout out to my
- 10:24parents for doing that, you know?
- 10:25So yeah. What did they do for a living?
- 10:27What were your parents trades or careers?
- 10:30So, my dad was in construction. He did construction his whole
- 10:34life. He ended up becoming a And
- 10:36tendon and managing Crews, and stuff like that.
- 10:40So when I was a kid, we had, I mean, we're comfortable.
- 10:44And then, to be able to 2008 happen and then the market
- 10:46crashed and my dad lost a lot of work.
- 10:48And my mom was a stay-at-home mom after she had my younger
- 10:51siblings. And yeah, that's when things
- 10:55started to get really challenging nacho.
- 10:57So I'm one of six kids and there's a big age gap between
- 11:02myself and my youngest sister so that was Pounding, but again,
- 11:07I'm know that my mom really tried to give us the best life
- 11:13and have experiences and, you know, like get to go to movies
- 11:16and things like that. So, my high school.
- 11:18Did you go to? I went to Silverado High School
- 11:20for all four years. Cool.
- 11:21Yeah. My first house was right down
- 11:23the street from Silverado that area.
- 11:25It's blown up. Yeah.
- 11:26Oh my gosh. It's like so many things on the
- 11:27corner. Now, there was nothing out
- 11:29there. When you went, after lock that
- 11:32door lot to go to Taco Bell. When I was Sorry, Mom, London
- 11:37used to skip school. She knew she knew.
- 11:39We had a we had meetings with the principal or thigh beings
- 11:42and stuff because you know they've some truancy letters and
- 11:44gotcha. I was kind of a little
- 11:46rebellious kid. Okay well we're here now.
- 11:48Alright we're here now that's the kind of stuff I love sharing
- 11:52on the show because those are all the behind the scenes things
- 11:55that especially for younger women.
- 11:58Like life is never linear and you see successful people out
- 12:01there and you're like thinking that they have their shit
- 12:03together and no one does, you know?
- 12:06So that's it's the staff by like sharing.
- 12:08I like to think that I took risks back then for the life
- 12:11that I wanted and I'm still taking risks.
- 12:13Now for the life that I want out.
- 12:15Yep, so that's it. That's it.
- 12:17Relationship with risk. I love that.
- 12:20Okay. So from Silverado High School in
- 12:242008. So I'm going to try to do math
- 12:26in my head, which I try to do all the time in my, on my show
- 12:29and it never works out. So you were like, 18, something
- 12:32like that and you guys haven't ya?
- 12:34I was 17 17. I'm getting ready to graduate.
- 12:36Wait, high school. I graduated okay.
- 12:38Thanks, thanks for watching. Okay, so you what your mom
- 12:47worked? Sit, your mom worked hard.
- 12:48Your parents worked hard to give you a life that you didn't feel
- 12:52like you are missing out, I think is what I'm hearing.
- 12:53You say, what did you know about or make up about money at that
- 12:56age but I wanted it Mom. I I think my mean, my grandma
- 13:07really stepped up for a lot of stuff that my parents couldn't
- 13:10give me. Like she prayed for my braces.
- 13:13My glasses. I got an opportunity to go to
- 13:16Washington DC and New York for like a leadership program.
- 13:19And I think the eighth grade, and my grandma paid for the
- 13:21whole thing. And actually this is a
- 13:23side-story Ki. This is still like a trauma
- 13:26that's ingrained in vain. I can many trauma.
- 13:28Yes, I remember. So my grandma paid for the whole
- 13:30trip. I think it was like three
- 13:32thousand dollars. We did fundraising bunch of fun
- 13:35stuff but whatever was left over but you know, we paid for it,
- 13:40out of my hand and my mom gave me her credit card to use in
- 13:46Washington DC and New York. I remember, we were actually at,
- 13:51I think it was the, it was like a Treasury office and they had
- 13:54like, posters of money and I thought that was the coolest
- 13:57thing ever. I was like, this is amazing, and
- 13:59we got to see how money was printed.
- 14:01Yeah. We're like, looking through the
- 14:03window. I was thinking, oh my gosh, this
- 14:04is like the coolest, like, I guess, I thought I had, I had
- 14:07never thought about where money came from and I went to go buy
- 14:12this money poster, and the card declined, no there.
- 14:17And I was like I did I never had that experience before.
- 14:20So I was like, what does that mean?
- 14:21Decline and the lady said, you don't have enough money on your
- 14:25card to buy the poster and I was mortified.
- 14:28Remember my face turning red and had to put it back.
- 14:31I had God, take the Walk of sand and put that little money.
- 14:35Mr. Back. And I think with within that
- 14:40since its it was so ingrained in my brain.
- 14:42I remember just thinking I want to have money like I want to be
- 14:45able to buy the things I want. I want to be able to do the
- 14:48things that I want, have the freedom to say, yes, I want that
- 14:50or no, I don't want that. And that was a good.
- 14:55That was like a for you. A Memory that shifted you?
- 14:58Yes, 100%. And I remember Berber with my
- 15:03grandma helping me with a lot of things like paying my phone and
- 15:08things like that. And also my grandpa, he would
- 15:10pay me when I was in Middle School and some have high
- 15:14school, I would wake up at six in the morning and go to work
- 15:17with him. He was a construction worker and
- 15:19he owned his own business and I would either clean up the sites
- 15:22for him or wouldn't do like a little easy hammering.
- 15:26Yeah, the tiniest little job and he would pay me and I thought
- 15:30that was the coolest thing to have my I own my knee and I
- 15:33mean, my mindset with money. I feel like I just I just was
- 15:37always like generating you wanting the generated wanting to
- 15:41generate it and figure out ways that I could generate it.
- 15:43So gotcha. Yeah, so making money was
- 15:46motivation for you. I've seen all I think making in
- 15:51spending it really because I just wanted to talk and in high
- 15:56school I mean when I remember wanting to have things like
- 16:00clothes and hmm. I mean, like lotions and all
- 16:04that fun stuff and Wanting to figure out how I can make money
- 16:08to have those things because I didn't like my parents telling
- 16:11me that I couldn't have that because of their budget, or
- 16:15their circumstances work for them.
- 16:16Yeah, right. I was like, okay, well, let me
- 16:19figure out how I can get it then and then I did, I started
- 16:22working really young and I haven't really stopped, right?
- 16:26And then you made a decision. So you working at Starbucks
- 16:28through high school or out right after high school.
- 16:30I started working at Starbucks when I was 16 and I left when I
- 16:34was 19, okay? Then you started working.
- 16:38You're on your path to esthetician.
- 16:41Becoming an aesthetician? Yes.
- 16:42Okay. Gotcha.
- 16:44What in that journey in your 20s?
- 16:47Well, let me let me ask me like framework this.
- 16:49So you have younger siblings. There's six of you total.
- 16:53Where are you in the mix? I'm your siblings of all six.
- 16:56Yes, wow, yeah, wow. So your, you know, your you have
- 17:01a as the oldest, I guess people could probably write in and tell
- 17:04us like if I'm right about that. You know, if I'm wrong about
- 17:07this but what I know about like the oldest and placement and
- 17:09families is that typically the oldest is like, the more
- 17:12responsible one, the more not caretaker necessarily but it's
- 17:16like more driven. Yeah.
- 17:18And that sounds like that you carried that forward 100.
- 17:21Yeah we actually had a really In-depth heart-to-heart with my
- 17:28sister? Who's the closest in age to Mere
- 17:29four years apart? We have had this conversation, I
- 17:32think three years ago and she had kind of reminded me that I
- 17:36need to be a sister sometimes and not a mom and that was a
- 17:39really big. I guess mine mindset shift for
- 17:45me because I hadn't thought about how that would feel like
- 17:48from my siblings perspective for me to just be like, one telling
- 17:52them what to do all the time or Trying to keep time.
- 17:56We're trying to keep everything together, but yeah, I still
- 17:59think about piece of advice that she gave me a lot.
- 18:04Yeah, were you always receptive to that kind of feedback and
- 18:09then a minute? Not at all.
- 18:13You're very, you're very strong woman.
- 18:15Yes. Yeah.
- 18:16And being the one guy, the old, the older sister the one to feel
- 18:20like you're raising your other siblings.
- 18:21Are they all girls? We have one boy in my Yeah.
- 18:24Yeah or thing, right? So you're like Chet you're like
- 18:29leading your own way and then also taking care of your
- 18:33siblings. That's a lot of responsibility
- 18:35in your 20s. How did you handle that?
- 18:40I just did. Yeah I mean I wasn't even a
- 18:44question for me. When I was in high school
- 18:48working, I mean I didn't have to pay rent or didn't have bills.
- 18:52So I had a car. I had actually made really good
- 18:55money in high school because I got paid $17 an hour to tutor
- 18:58kids with autism. And at one point, I had four
- 19:00families and that's a lot of money to make an hour for a high
- 19:05school kid. And I was making, I think 850 or
- 19:098:25 at Starbucks for which brought the time is pretty high.
- 19:13Yeah and got weekly tips so I would take my siblings.
- 19:17To go do stuff all the time. If I wasn't buying clothes or
- 19:19things that I wanted, we would go to Dave and Busters or I
- 19:23would take them a little dates individually and my brother and
- 19:25I for example, like to go get Slurpees that's have an 11%
- 19:29planes land. That was I love that Shakur
- 19:32memory. Love that the 7-Eleven across
- 19:34the street. Yeah, I love that and get all
- 19:37the different flavors. Yes.
- 19:39The suicide is how it is called high.
- 19:40I never mix them all together. Okay?
- 19:45Anyway, yeah. So navigating I guess it was
- 19:50just I mean I just did it. I didn't I think that I'm
- 19:54someone who just figures out how to make things happen if I want
- 19:58something, I will figure. I will do whatever it takes to
- 20:02do it. Like, because I because I also
- 20:04have that mindset is someone else can do it.
- 20:06Then I can do to have someone else can have that.
- 20:08Why can't I have that? Yeah, so Amen to that.
- 20:11You're out. Just how to do it.
- 20:13Yeah, yeah. So we were sharing before the
- 20:16show. And this is probably in the, in
- 20:18your 20s, where our lives you are in your twenties when our
- 20:20lives intersect, as I was in my 30s and when I just had started
- 20:25money, coaching do my business. We had had a conversation but
- 20:28before that, we knew each other's from a common experience
- 20:31that we had gone through. What was your life like, at that
- 20:34time? So you're, you know, you're what
- 20:35I'm hearing you say is that you learn how to make money to spend
- 20:38it on the things that you wanted and now at 31 that has shifted,
- 20:45maybe which we'll talk about. About, but you didn't have a
- 20:48formal Financial education. You were motivated, just to go
- 20:51make more money to be able to do the things that you wanted to
- 20:53do, right. 100%. So in, how did that look in your
- 20:5620s? What was that?
- 20:57Like, because you did you take on loans to go through school?
- 21:02No. Okay.
- 21:03So, I was, I am very, very, very grateful and very, very, very
- 21:09fortunate that I didn't have to do that.
- 21:10Okay. But so, in my 20s, I was very
- 21:17You're very, very poor. I had no money, like zero money.
- 21:23When we met, I was living in an apartment with one of my friends
- 21:26and it was a two bedroom apartment and a really bad part
- 21:30of town. And I had zero Furniture 0, like
- 21:35you'd walk in and it was this cute little apartment.
- 21:38But no, couch able, no couch, no TV.
- 21:41No TV stand. I don't even think we had our on
- 21:44the wall. I mean, we had dish.
- 21:47Shazam, I'm good. And if you have a bed, I did
- 21:51have a bed. Okay?
- 21:51Because before that place, I was living in a studio apartment
- 21:54downtown in, my right was $500. And I was struggling to even
- 21:58make that it was really bad. I had got in fiction notice as a
- 22:03couple times and I somehow just figured it out though.
- 22:08I don't really, I mean, that's what we do.
- 22:11Yeah, I just was like, okay, well now I've got to pay an
- 22:14extra hundred twenty-five dollars to because I'm Lee, But
- 22:17I'll figure it out and I always did and you were working as an
- 22:21aesthetician at that time. Um, at the time I was living in
- 22:25the studio apartment, I was actually working at a call
- 22:28center, mmm, and I had just left a business that was not paying
- 22:34me for several months and I had to decide it wasn't working for
- 22:42me and it was a business that was in skin.
- 22:47And to be fair looking back, I understand where they're coming
- 22:51from because they had said that the technique is basically, me
- 22:55learning. The technique is pay is pay.
- 22:57Yeah. Like mentoring apprenticeship
- 22:59kind of appreciate. I can I still use the technique
- 23:01to this day? So I have no malice towards the
- 23:04idea. But at the time, I had just
- 23:08decided that I needed to make money because I couldn't pay my
- 23:10bills with that idea or that, ya know, that technique really, so
- 23:14I was working at a call center. And I had opened a waxing Studio
- 23:19because I figured I gotta do something.
- 23:21I need to start working in skin and make this happened and our
- 23:26make it happen and I just it wasn't, it wasn't working.
- 23:32Yeah, it'll yeah and waxing is not the most lucrative side of
- 23:35aesthetician being an aesthetician and and also so
- 23:39many men and women in that esthetician field you're making,
- 23:45you know, a hundred dollars at a time or two hundred dollars at a
- 23:47time or $50 or twelve dollars at a time.
- 23:49Like the money rolls in very little little bits.
- 23:53And so to try to save that, if you never learned how to save
- 23:56was that hard, Yeah, it was super hard.
- 24:01I mean I was living like I want to say paycheck to paycheck but
- 24:07it was literally a two day, right day?
- 24:09Yes. So I remember like donating are
- 24:14codes donating plasma and getting money for that and
- 24:18selling stuff selling things that I had like TVs and like,
- 24:23you know, yeah, little things. But yeah, so I had a thought.
- 24:28After dance your question. Long-winded, question or long
- 24:31ready? It's a rather I did have a bed
- 24:37apartment. I had everything that would fit
- 24:40into my bedroom so well, yeah. Oh I have always just been
- 24:46really independent and my mom and I were not getting along and
- 24:50I moved out the day. I turned 18.
- 24:51Yeah. Like they was literally on my
- 24:54birthday. We were arguing about some
- 24:58stuff. Stuff that I was really
- 24:59frustrated about. And I just was like, you know
- 25:01what, this isn't working for me. I'm going to move out, and I
- 25:03just got all my stuff in my room and I'm about him.
- 25:06And I moved into my friends house.
- 25:08I lived once she over a month and then I think about two weeks
- 25:12later, I had my own apartment. Hmm.
- 25:13And at the time I was working at the spa so I was making great
- 25:17money. Like really good money for my
- 25:19age. Okay, so never look back.
- 25:22Never look back, never moved back home number back.
- 25:24Well, actually, I have moved back home twice when I On
- 25:28through breakups. But I wasn't there long.
- 25:30It was like a temporary thing. So yeah, so go home, get back
- 25:35out. Exactly.
- 25:36Yeah, good for you. Get back on my feet, get back on
- 25:39your feet. Yeah.
- 25:40Okay, cool. That's that's a really important
- 25:42part of your story and I think that for a lot of people
- 25:47listening, a lot of women in particular listening.
- 25:49Is that you what got you through those parts what I'm hearing you
- 25:55say, got you through those parts, was your determination.
- 25:58Hundred percent. Yeah.
- 25:59No one came into like bail you out, right?
- 26:02You didn't have a rich Uncle? No, nice, no.
- 26:11I never had any help, but I think that's part of why I've
- 26:15become so successful because I knew that there.
- 26:17Wasn't anyone there to catch me? Hmm.
- 26:20Like if it was going to happen, it was going to be entirely up
- 26:23to me, if it's to be, it's up to me.
- 26:25Yeah. And I really I mean, I just even
- 26:29when I was down and things weren't working out and I was
- 26:31really stressed out and figuring out how am I going to pay for
- 26:34this? Like I have all these bills
- 26:36coming in or just all the things like come with finances and I
- 26:41think even just day-to-day living it is.
- 26:43I I mean I just trusted myself and Which I think, is eventually
- 26:49a fall to my relationship with money and how I see money now.
- 26:54And I mean, yeah, it's since such a great and scary Journey,
- 27:00great and scary. So, if you're out there, you're
- 27:03struggling, you're not sure how you're going to make it.
- 27:05You will you will? You always will bet on yourself
- 27:09though? Yeah, 100%.
- 27:11That's what that's a theme that we hear over and over and over
- 27:13again on the show, is that women are standing up and saying you
- 27:16got to bet on yourself. Elf.
- 27:18Yeah, because if you don't believe, like here's the thing.
- 27:20That's so crazy to me, is a lot of people especially, I think as
- 27:25women we will support everyone else like your everyone, else's
- 27:30biggest cheerleader, you see? People will doing things, you
- 27:33like, I'm so proud of you. You're at you're crushing it,
- 27:35you're doing great and then one comes to you, excuse me, when I
- 27:40came to you, you have those doubts and those fears and those
- 27:47those Like limiting ideas that are holding you back and say
- 27:50like why is it that you're tearing all these other people
- 27:53on. But you can't cheer yourself on
- 27:54like you need to look yourself in the mirror and say like you
- 27:56know what girl like you are the baddest bitch out there and
- 27:59you've got this, like I'm sorry, you can do whatever you put your
- 28:01mind to and I mean and that's that's still I still struggle
- 28:05with that sometimes. But it's a practice.
- 28:06It's a daily practice. You know, Daley Park now look
- 28:09myself in the mirror. Like I can feel myself like
- 28:11getting kind of I don't know. Just hard on myself or my
- 28:15parents were like Questioning my worth even, and I'm like, I look
- 28:20myself in the mirror and be like, I love your eyes, like, I
- 28:22love your hair, I love this, like you're strong, you're brave
- 28:26or your girl boss like all these things and then I instantly walk
- 28:29away and I'm like, yes, it's just definitely if you're out
- 28:42there, listening, I definitely invite you to practice that
- 28:44because even if you just do it one time just like once.
- 28:47Cancel. All it takes you have that that
- 28:49negative thought about yourself, just instantly like flip it and
- 28:52think like how can I turn this into a positive or what can I
- 28:56say good about myself and then eventually it's going to be like
- 28:58a Snowball Effect and you're saying, then you start seeing
- 29:01more good things about yourself and bad things and your biggest
- 29:05cheerleader, your biggest cheerleader and then is it.
- 29:07What's cool is you can be even bigger, chillers for everybody
- 29:09else. That's right.
- 29:11That's right. You become your biggest
- 29:12cheerleader and then you can go out and make that happen for
- 29:14other people and you are, if you are that for so many people,
- 29:17thank you. Yeah, you got me through a
- 29:18really rough time to which we'll talk about after the break.

- 32:56Here is Lisa Chastain. I'm here with London.
- 33:00Hello. Hello London.
- 33:02Pull a card. So we haven't done this in a
- 33:03while from Louise Hay. And we have her card that says,
- 33:08life is simple and easy and it's funny.
- 33:11This picture is a picture of a person.
- 33:14Riding a horse, which I do not equate to being simple or easy.
- 33:18I graduated video. Oh, that's perfect for you then.
- 33:21Oh my gosh. Okay, it says all that I need to
- 33:23know at any given moment is revealed to me.
- 33:26I trust myself and I Life all is well honestly best car I've
- 33:32could have pulled I relate to this so much.
- 33:34Yeah, yeah I mean we were just talking about it at the first
- 33:37half of the show even that you you have to as an older sibling
- 33:41with five other siblings and you've played a big role in
- 33:46raising them, not always easy but then trusting yourself to
- 33:51follow your path. Was it easy for you to make
- 33:54decisions and just keep moving forward?
- 33:56That's not easy for a lot of of people.
- 34:02I think some decisions it was really easy for me.
- 34:08I think I had I had there's there's probably a big chunk of
- 34:14things that I had a really hard time with.
- 34:17I think mostly relationships though, not sure if I should
- 34:20move on or what I should do and definitely, definitely when I
- 34:24was feeling stuck with some things that were happening in my
- 34:27life because there were big decisions, but I Say, when I get
- 34:32past that cloud, so to speak, and I am 100% in my, my
- 34:37decision. Like, if I make a decision, it's
- 34:39my decision. I'm owning it like, it is my
- 34:42decision. So I have that little cloud or
- 34:44I'm like questioning and unsure, and then after that, it's like,
- 34:48no, we ran. This is what we're doing.
- 34:51I love that about you, thank you.
- 34:52I think other women can learn a lot about how to do that.
- 34:55That's a lot. That's a big question.
- 34:56We get in coaching and like as a coach, I'm really on a mission.
- 35:00Shinto. Not become a codependent partner
- 35:02with my clients, which they don't like a lot, but it's like,
- 35:06no. What are you going to do?
- 35:08You have to own this Choice? What was it for you?
- 35:11So one thing that women will share on the show a lot is that
- 35:15they had to do the inner work to get where they are today for
- 35:19you. That was, you were pretty young
- 35:21when you went through Choice Center.
- 35:22Yeah, that's where I had initially.
- 35:24Met you. What was that work?
- 35:26Like, for you. Oh my gosh.
- 35:28It was so amazing. Because I, I wasn't resistant to
- 35:36Growing or learning. I wanted to I just I wanted to
- 35:41anything that I could get my hands on.
- 35:44That would better me as a person.
- 35:45I was 100% there for ya. Like, as long as it was illegal.
- 35:50Well yeah, I just was come. I just wanted to learn as much
- 35:55as I could. I really think that then and now
- 36:00I'm just like a sponge, like, I just want to hear everyone's
- 36:02advice baz. Luhrmann had actually said this
- 36:04really cool thing. That's it.
- 36:05He says be careful to listen to everyone's advice, but be very
- 36:10selective to who you. Listen to yep.
- 36:12Or something along those lines, a freezing.
- 36:14Yeah. But I've always, I'll always
- 36:16love that because I can get something from every
- 36:20conversation. So when I had the opportunity to
- 36:24go through choice, I was just 100% just like we're talking.
- 36:27About what committed like I wanted to just be you there.
- 36:32Yeah, I heard him. What was the biggest thing you
- 36:34learned about yourself? That I am worthy, and that I
- 36:37matter because I Stephanie struggled with that.
- 36:40Excuse me. I have to clear my throat.
- 36:41Yeah. But um, it was definitely, it
- 36:45was definitely challenging. I mean, you're literally looking
- 36:49in the mirror with pretty much everything that you have, Lan
- 36:54your decisions, your choices, your mindset.
- 36:59I am very grateful that I went because I say that since I was
- 37:04so committed to the work that I am still to this day, putting a
- 37:07lot of those things into practice.
- 37:08And yeah, I think that's the reason I have really been able
- 37:12to do a lot of where you're at. That's it.
- 37:15I mean that's a huge piece of it.
- 37:17Anybody can I say this in my world all the time, anybody can
- 37:19get inspired and you can go through a weekend program or 90
- 37:22day program, and choice enters, one of hundreds of different
- 37:26programs that you could go. Go through Tony Robbins is kind
- 37:29of like that where you can invest in yourself and you can
- 37:31go and you can feel really inspired but you've got to do
- 37:33the work 100%. I think that it's like I like to
- 37:35say that. It's like a muscle, but you can
- 37:38go to the gym one time and do some sit-ups and feel good.
- 37:42And like I don't know if anyone else feels like this, but
- 37:44sometimes when I go to the gym one time on my who I got, I've
- 37:48already standing taller. I feel stronger, like I'm like I
- 37:51got definition of my biceps already, but you can't just go
- 37:55one time and you have to go several times.
- 37:57Times and then you really get you get you get to see the
- 38:00results. So personal growth personal
- 38:03development is like an exercise, you have to do it every single
- 38:06day. You have several opportunities
- 38:09throughout the day to do it every moment of your day.
- 38:11Yeah, whether you're in line at the grocery store or you are
- 38:16with your kids. Yeah.
- 38:17Or you're at work. Like, you constantly have
- 38:19opportunities to like Flex that muscle.
- 38:22Yeah, it's it's a constant practice.
- 38:26This is a great segue. So you went from, you know,
- 38:30having it aha about your worthiness and over this past
- 38:33decade, you've been flexing your financial muscle.
- 38:37Yes. And coming back to money,
- 38:39knowing that this is what the show is all about.
- 38:42That's why I wear green. That's right.
- 38:44You were great. Let's talk about how you've
- 38:46become financially fit, and the things that you've done, that
- 38:49made of have made a different choice for you.
- 38:53Getting to that six-figure Mark and now sustaining it, yes, Yes,
- 38:58so yeah, let's talk about our journey.
- 38:59Okay. Phrase, by the way, financially
- 39:03fit. Yeah, I like that.
- 39:06Like image how. So I think that my again, my
- 39:12biggest learning was that I am worthy.
- 39:14And once I had that realization, then I think that a lot of
- 39:20things started to open, a lot of doors started to open up for me
- 39:23because kind of going back to what I was saying before with
- 39:26like, looking in the mirror and being your biggest cheerleader,
- 39:30I started to have this this relationship with myself that I
- 39:33had, I had never had before and realizing that If I wanted to
- 39:44have the money or have the things and to be financially
- 39:47fit, I had to kind of see my work.
- 39:52You had to. Yeah, yeah.
- 39:53There's no, there's nothing you see that, right?
- 39:58I think that With having that realization, my relationship
- 40:04with money has changed so much because like, okay, so, for
- 40:09example, now, I think that I just have the mindset that I'm
- 40:13abundant. Yeah.
- 40:14And that, I mean, I realistic with my goals and I know what I
- 40:18can spend, and what I can't spend and I'm very, I have like
- 40:20a very detailed breakdown of what my bills are, how much
- 40:23money to make a month to just cover my bills.
- 40:26What I want to spend for saving or have for savings or travel or
- 40:30puns? Stuff and think Anna.
- 40:32But I think that I'm so sorry. I just thought you know what
- 40:38song? I think about every time you do
- 40:40that is that nuclear mouth. Girl.
- 40:46We're just gonna break into song and dance.
- 41:00I believe this is mine set. This is a really, really
- 41:03important piece to wealth generation is that you have to
- 41:08on some level believe that you're worthy and like you've
- 41:12had alluded to not just financially, but in
- 41:15relationship, right? Every aspect I only area every
- 41:19area of your life, whether it's friendship like to me, when I
- 41:22think of money, I think of abundance and abundance to me is
- 41:26not just money, it's everything. Yeah.
- 41:28Any area of your life, whether it's hot Bees, whether it is
- 41:32work, relationships, friendships, career, and even
- 41:36food, like, the things that you're consuming, like, a
- 41:40mentally, like it's all, it's all, well, if it's all
- 41:43abundance. So it really plays a huge factor
- 41:47in your life. If you feel like you're worthy
- 41:50to receive that. Well, if you feel like you can
- 41:52achieve it agreed, what was the journey like from when you and I
- 41:57reconnected in 2020, you it? Coed and I needed help.
- 42:03And you were in you were in some kind of question of your life or
- 42:06what you were doing. You were building your
- 42:08esthetician business and at the same time you still chose to
- 42:11come and help me yet. I really, really needed at that
- 42:14time. She came and helped my help me
- 42:15with my son range. And he was behave, is home, and
- 42:19he's had a lot of challenges. So what was that decision about?
- 42:24For you? And you've, you've grown so
- 42:27much. Even in the last three, almost,
- 42:29four years So, you were driving, what was?
- 42:32What was it was a hoopty? Well, I didn't know that was a
- 42:41really good car. So before I was driving a stick
- 42:46shift, Honda Civic. Okay, and it was falling apart,
- 42:52and my incredible partner was like, you know what, I know that
- 42:56you need a car and I know that you don't really have the money
- 42:59to do so. So let me by This car for you
- 43:02and it was a five hundred dollar Acura and it was an improvement.
- 43:07A gold. Was it gold go?
- 43:08Yeah. Tell ago baby.
- 43:09Yeah, it was falling apart like but the power, the power,
- 43:15there's no power steering. So I had to fill out the back.
- 43:18Her steering like everyone's like a couple of days and
- 43:23sometimes I would be a little bit lazy and not I want you to
- 43:28do with no power steering. My biceps.
- 43:30That's how My arms got stupid, it's like I have to use all your
- 43:34strength, turn the wheel sometimes.
- 43:37Okay? But yeah, I was driving a really
- 43:39crazy car. Yeah, and actually drink so
- 43:422020. I was just looking for something
- 43:45to do on my days off because I, that's right.
- 43:48I just like to do things. I just like, to be involved and
- 43:52like, especially after not really doing anything for
- 43:56several months and I'm and, you know, spending some time at
- 44:00home. Man, that's what it was.
- 44:02I got I got really, really good at doing a lot of crafts.
- 44:05Okay, loves but I just when we were, when I went back to work I
- 44:10had I was working for days but one of the days it was like two
- 44:14or three hours. So I felt like I had all of this
- 44:17extra time and I just wanted to contribute to something and feel
- 44:22a part of something. And I think Ashley and I were
- 44:25talking about that and she had mentioned that you were looking
- 44:27for help and I was like didn't even hesitate I'm yet.
- 44:30I want to do it like let's let's do this it was a godsend for me
- 44:34me too. I really was like I just want to
- 44:39say that I have always been so inspired by you.
- 44:42You have this Grace about you which is just very comforting
- 44:47and very welcoming and I remember the first time I met
- 44:50you, I was like who is this woman?
- 44:51Like I just wanted to like just listen to what you had to say
- 44:55and just be in your presence. And so for that I think honestly
- 45:00being a Your house is really what inspired me to like?
- 45:04Get it together. Get my shit together.
- 45:05So nice. I mean we had talked about that
- 45:09first week that I made over two thousand dollars for the
- 45:12company. I was working for.
- 45:13I didn't make you. Yeah.
- 45:15But I made them two thousand dollars and then I had then I
- 45:19made myself to thousand dollars. And you had said, if you keep
- 45:22that up, you're going to make six figures and I was like, oh
- 45:26yeah what do they will? Huh?
- 45:28So then I was totally in Hustle mode.
- 45:30So as much as I might have hoped you, you definitely helped me
- 45:33Me. So that was like a nice way to
- 45:36start my day. Monday through Friday, I love
- 45:38it. I love it.
- 45:39Yeah, you like saved me. I mean the covid-19 for so many
- 45:43reasons and this is this is why I believe in the power of
- 45:48community. Like if you're watching this
- 45:49show on YouTube, You'll see right behind London, there's a
- 45:51picture of women that we really don't do this alone and like, I
- 45:57know I couldn't do it without powerful and amazing women like
- 46:00you in my life and US champion each other, right?
- 46:03I resonate with us so much. In fact it gets me a little bit
- 46:07emotional sometimes because I think that I think we've talked
- 46:13about this before, when I was in Vegas before I had this idea
- 46:17that Vegas was like, just crappy and there's crappy people
- 46:21everywhere, and then when I moved back, I kind of realized
- 46:24it. I think that I was just
- 46:25attracting those types types of people, but Community, it's just
- 46:30absolutely incredible. It, I mean, especially opening
- 46:33my own business, the, I got my sign, my studio release in
- 46:37January, but the past few months, Ends the over poor of
- 46:42love. I'm going to I might get a
- 46:44little emotional, the old core of love from people in the
- 46:47community and the support is just it's unreal.
- 46:51Yeah it's absolutely unreal and I love it.
- 46:53I'm here. I like I just I absolutely love
- 46:55it. Yeah.
- 46:57Vegas is a really cool place Henderson and where did you open
- 47:00your studio? My heart of Chimes.
- 47:03Oh it's on Las Vegas in Warm Springs, Las Vegas Boulevard and
- 47:06Warm Springs. OK?
- 47:07Right in the center of town. Cool.
- 47:10It's the coolest best place ever.
- 47:13I've gotten such good feedback about it and how the vibe is
- 47:16just the best. Yeah.
- 47:19It's like they're immaculate. Yeah.
- 47:21Laughs, you Batman. I love it and I love it.
- 47:23Yeah, we well, if you're struggling, is a woman in the
- 47:27world today and this is for men, to men actually isolate
- 47:30themselves. Way more than women, is that the
- 47:34it like Vegas and particular. Gosh.
- 47:36Like I'm so grateful day after day after day to be around.
- 47:40Such an incredible people. This is an amazing community.
- 47:43So if you're just due to Vegas or thinking about coming to
- 47:45Vegas, I'll be abundant and say come on down, come on come on
- 47:50come on in the water's. Just that's right.
- 47:54That's right and it's not forever, you know, it's not for
- 47:57everyone but having a community is crucial to success in my
- 48:01opinion, I agree. You have to I think it's just as
- 48:06you know, you have to be your own cheerleader.
- 48:08You it's important to have other cheerleaders in That's right,
- 48:11that's right. It's rely on.
- 48:12Yeah, if we're it just made me think of this because you have a
- 48:15really awesome Instagram page. What's your what's your
- 48:17Instagram page, London the SD as londone7, the es.
- 48:23Thi yeah, you got to follow her. It's like very educational but
- 48:28very vibrant and entertaining and fun and you'll get a really
- 48:31good idea of who London is and what your Vibe is.
- 48:34Yeah, that's my goal with my Instagram has to be an extension
- 48:38of myself, okay? And I And I my goal with my I
- 48:43don't even like to say clients because I feel like they're more
- 48:46than that. My goal with my people as I call
- 48:50them is to is like to just really connect.
- 48:52I love connection. I love that part of the
- 48:55Aesthetics world and there's also something really vulnerable
- 48:58about getting a skin treatment or a whack.
- 49:02It's like you. If you're getting a facial.
- 49:04I mean the lights are dark like soft music playing like
- 49:07someone's touching your face. It feels Nice and people really
- 49:11open up and tell me a lot of things.
- 49:13And I mean my goal is to really just to help everyone feel
- 49:19worthy, lovable, beautiful or handsome just like the best
- 49:25version of you mmm-hmm and I try to like relay that through my
- 49:30Instagram to and of that I'm on that.
- 49:32So if you're looking to be around people or have someone
- 49:37show you the way London's definitely someone who's
- 49:40Walking, the talk of what that looks like.
- 49:43Yeah. Okay, so from 2022 today that's
- 49:46a short window of time. What I do know is you moved a
- 49:48couple times but now your homeowner.
- 49:51I'm a homeowner. Yeah, what was that?
- 49:52Like, getting the keys. It was emotional, because I'm
- 49:57the first home owner in my family, and that's pretty rad,
- 50:02including your parents, including my parents.
- 50:04Yeah, they had bought a home right before the crash and then
- 50:08they lost it. Hmm.
- 50:09But I think really out of it. Even uncles and aunts, and
- 50:13cousins. I The first person in my family
- 50:16to own a home. So that was really emotional and
- 50:20actually the night that we got my keys and my boyfriend had
- 50:23covid and my grandma was in town and we had no power in the in
- 50:29the house and my grandma. And I went in and literally sat
- 50:33in the dark and we were just like, here we are.
- 50:36I feel like, oh my gosh, this is so cool.
- 50:38And they had balloons for us, which is really sweet.
- 50:41And I think like some vodka or something which I didn't partake
- 50:44in. But it's okay that you did.
- 50:46Yeah, I guess you did. Okay, it's okay.
- 50:48Yeah, I gave up to my neighbor actually but it was really,
- 50:55really cool. So yeah, a short three years
- 50:57since we rekindled my life is just completely changed.
- 51:02So now I no longer have gold War.
- 51:04Pony, the Acura that was falling apart.
- 51:06I didn't have power steering. I would he have had a been Ben's
- 51:09baby. What's its name?
- 51:12That's a great question. I will get back to you.
- 51:14Okay. I haven't Sure.
- 51:15Yeah, if you want to help name her hop onto Instagram, we can
- 51:18do that together. You don't have to have a name
- 51:21for your crime and having a name I thought of it.
- 51:25Yeah, what an amazing time to celebrate everything that you've
- 51:30accomplished and will and will accomplish.
- 51:33I really believe this is just the beginning I do too.
- 51:36And I feel like I was just telling one of my really good
- 51:39friends that I feel like my life right now is 10/10 across the
- 51:44board. Yeah.
- 51:45Yeah and I again I think it goes back to having that worth and
- 51:50knowing that no matter what happens when no matter what I
- 51:53experienced I am still worthy and I still get to have it.
- 51:57You did Chuckles the ups and downs I mean past three years
- 52:00wasn't easy I had a lot of challenging paths but I mean
- 52:06again it just made it happen and know that I can do it and if
- 52:11you're struggling out there and you're wondering if you can do
- 52:13it again you can and You can you absolutely can you can?
