- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is Unspoiled, covering
- 0:10Speaker 1: one piece episodes six nineteen through six twenty one, Running Wild, Invincible,
- 0:19Speaker 1: General Frankie and a Critical Situation Punk, Hazard Explodes, and
- 0:26Speaker 1: lastly Capture Caesar General Cannon blasts. In these episodes, it
- 0:36Speaker 1: turns out that Trafalgar Law pulled a fast one with
- 0:40Speaker 1: Smoker's heart, and normally that would sound almost romantic, but
- 0:47Speaker 1: it's just murder, really, which is fine. Frankly, I don't
- 0:52Speaker 1: even have a problem with it. Welcome to spoil me.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Welcome to the show everyone. I am Natasha. Thank you
- 1:19Speaker 1: very much to Michael for commissioning this episode. Michael, if
- 1:23Speaker 1: you're listening, thank you very much, sir. Appreciate you a lot.
- 1:29Speaker 1: These episodes were wild. I was so unprepared, you guys,
- 1:36Speaker 1: for how much Do Flamingo was going to end up
- 1:42Speaker 1: being directly involved in things here. I think that I
- 1:45Speaker 1: just expected what we were doing was setting up Do
- 1:49Speaker 1: Flamingo as eventually going to be involved down the road,
- 1:56Speaker 1: so to have him actually flying there by the end
- 2:00Speaker 1: of these three episodes, like irritated that he has to
- 2:03Speaker 1: take matters into his own hands. I truly did not
- 2:07Speaker 1: see that coming, and I like, Okay, I'm gonna get
- 2:16Speaker 1: real with you guys for a second. So Sean and
- 2:19Speaker 1: I there's there's. She and I have started covering Supernatural,
- 2:25Speaker 1: and there is an an episode I think maybe the
- 2:30Speaker 1: first actual coverage episode, not the one where she is
- 2:35Speaker 1: pitching that we should cover it, where she mentions how
- 2:41Speaker 1: often men don't seem to really understand what is a
- 2:45Speaker 1: turn on for women, and that a lot of times
- 2:52Speaker 1: we are more fucked up than guys really think we
- 2:57Speaker 1: are capable of being. Like, there's this sort of stereotype
- 3:03Speaker 1: that men are the depraved perverts and that we are
- 3:08Speaker 1: the ones who fantasize about being like a princess in
- 3:11Speaker 1: a gauzy white gown in the forest, rescued by a
- 3:14Speaker 1: handsome prince. And I think recently, as the rising of
- 3:20Speaker 1: dark smut has really begun to take over book talk,
- 3:25Speaker 1: we're starting to get more of a real picture of
- 3:29Speaker 1: what a lot of women, and I'm saying a lot
- 3:31Speaker 1: not all of women are into. And I bring all
- 3:38Speaker 1: of this up to explain to preface my reaction to
- 3:44Speaker 1: something that was deeply, deeply inappropriate. Guys. When dol Flamingo
- 3:55Speaker 1: is on the phone so to speak, transponder, snail phone, whatever,
- 3:58Speaker 1: same thing with money, and he says, die for me money.
- 4:09Speaker 2: It did something to me.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I don't know what it was. If it was the voice,
- 4:18Speaker 1: if it was the delivery, the way he said it,
- 4:22Speaker 1: if it was the gentleness of it. If it was
- 4:27Speaker 1: how if you replaced the very first word with the
- 4:33Speaker 1: word come, it could be an entirely different scenario. I
- 4:39Speaker 1: can't tell you exactly what it was, but I have
- 4:45Speaker 1: ever had that reaction to anything on one piece ever,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and I kind of hope I never do again. If
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm being honest and do Flamingo has done nothing for me,
- 4:57Speaker 1: y'all know that I have been pretty loyal to Smoker Crocodile.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You know.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Ah, I think I'm trying to have to like back
- 5:08Speaker 1: up and like revisit do Flamingo a little bit, y'all.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I don't know. I think this might be something we'll
- 5:15Speaker 1: have to see, because you guys know that, like when
- 5:18Speaker 1: the big announcement was like, oh, Dolf, Flamingo's at the
- 5:20Speaker 1: root of this, I was just like, so, who cares?
- 5:23Speaker 2: You know?
- 5:24Speaker 1: It just did not hit the way that evidently it
- 5:27Speaker 1: hit other people. And now I'm sort of like, well,
- 5:33Speaker 1: maybe there is room for that to happen after all.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Saraphim says that it's kind of funny to hear given
- 5:43Speaker 1: another reaction I'm watching is a few doesn'ts ahead of you.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And it's also falling hard for Dophie. I can't believe
- 5:50Speaker 1: he's called Dofie for sure, but that makes sense in
- 5:52Speaker 1: a I know he's evil, but way yeah, And like,
- 5:56Speaker 1: this is the thing with dark smut is oftentimes there
- 6:02Speaker 1: is a is a bad man. But also you know,
- 6:08Speaker 1: there's there's the stereotype that like women go for bad boys,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and the thing is women can be turned on by
- 6:16Speaker 1: bad boys. That is not the same as we go
- 6:18Speaker 1: for bad boys, but it's just, you know, bad boys
- 6:23Speaker 1: are like our version of the like men go for
- 6:30Speaker 1: bimbo's thing right, where it's like men might be very
- 6:35Speaker 1: into a bimbo, like damn, she look fine. You know
- 6:39Speaker 1: I would tap that, but like, are they more likely
- 6:44Speaker 1: to actually be really into her?
- 6:46Speaker 2: Who's to be seen?
- 6:49Speaker 1: But bad boys obviously there's different types, there's different levels,
- 6:54Speaker 1: there's different everything. So anyway, let's get back to the
- 6:58Speaker 1: beginning of these three episodes. So first we have the
- 7:05Speaker 1: fight between Baby five, Buffalo and Frankie, and I just
- 7:10Speaker 1: want to say that I had totally forgotten the fact
- 7:12Speaker 1: that Baby five can just transform into any kind of weapon,
- 7:18Speaker 1: which is truly some wild shit. I am very into it. Like,
- 7:22Speaker 1: for the record, I love this power. I think this
- 7:26Speaker 1: is super fun and I enjoyed. I enjoyed not only
- 7:31Speaker 1: the transformations themselves, but also how weirdly they decided to
- 7:37Speaker 1: animate them, Like instead of having it be I'm just
- 7:41Speaker 1: going to transform her arm into a gun, it often
- 7:45Speaker 1: was I am going to transform the upper half of
- 7:48Speaker 1: her body into a gun so that she is basically
- 7:51Speaker 1: like a barrel on legs, which is a choice, it
- 7:58Speaker 1: sure is, But yeah, I remember her being able to
- 8:04Speaker 1: do this when she was like coming at Do Flamingo
- 8:07Speaker 1: himself by the pool, and I had just like clean
- 8:09Speaker 1: forgotten it. So this is pretty dopability. And eventually, like
- 8:14Speaker 1: Frankie has to be impressed because she manages to penetrate
- 8:18Speaker 1: the armor, although he does compare it to a I
- 8:23Speaker 1: think he says something like a praying mantis trying to
- 8:26Speaker 1: poke a hole in a battleship, something like that to
- 8:29Speaker 1: just give like, you know, a general vibe of how
- 8:35Speaker 1: unlikely it is that she succeeded and her and Buffalo Buffalo,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm not really I kind of like him, to be honest.
- 8:51Speaker 1: He caught me by surprise because so often the goons,
- 8:57Speaker 1: like the sidekick goons.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Are really.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I don't want to even say boring, because that's not right.
- 9:07Speaker 1: They're not boring, but they can be a little bit
- 9:14Speaker 1: one note, I suppose is really what I want to
- 9:18Speaker 1: say that they will. There's not a huge variety in
- 9:21Speaker 1: personality exactly. They seem to be the same sort of
- 9:26Speaker 1: level of like posturing toughness and uh, just overall a
- 9:32Speaker 1: sense of like, I am gonna talk a lot of shit,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm loyal to my boss. I have a you know,
- 9:42Speaker 1: cold blooded streak that is very like, you know, kind
- 9:46Speaker 1: of fucked up. And there's not a lot of surprises
- 9:49Speaker 1: packed in. And I can't tell if what I am
- 9:53Speaker 1: liking about him is really due to him or if
- 9:58Speaker 1: it is due to his interaction with Baby five, because
- 10:01Speaker 1: he is so amusingly frustrated with her, Like every time
- 10:07Speaker 1: that she brings up a thing and it's somebody, some
- 10:12Speaker 1: guy that she got involved with in the past, he
- 10:16Speaker 1: is just so irritated on her behalf and just keeps
- 10:19Speaker 1: being like that was clearly a scam. And at one
- 10:24Speaker 1: point she is remembering a gun that this man offered her,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and the guy said something like, anybody who owns this
- 10:33Speaker 1: weapon is sure to be a happy life, and if
- 10:36Speaker 1: you buy this from me, you will make me a
- 10:39Speaker 1: happy man. And she does this sort of thing that
- 10:43Speaker 1: Boa does, where she backs into an arch. But when
- 10:48Speaker 1: Boa does it, it's because she's literally like looking down
- 10:51Speaker 1: her nose at you, And when Baby five does it,
- 10:54Speaker 1: apparently it's because she is just feeling so much that
- 10:59Speaker 1: she can't stand upright anymore. Is really the way it
- 11:04Speaker 1: feels to me. So I guess I can't remember what
- 11:10Speaker 1: happens right after that, because I think that she just
- 11:11Speaker 1: like imitates the gun that he showed her. I guess
- 11:14Speaker 1: she must have body even though she can transform into
- 11:16Speaker 1: a gun, which is.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Wild shit, girl, get a hold of yourself.
- 11:20Speaker 1: But anyway, but yeah, that like memory, it's sort of
- 11:24Speaker 1: done in this way where she remembers this, and then
- 11:27Speaker 1: when we come out of the memory. The way that
- 11:31Speaker 1: Buffalo replies to her, it implies that he saw the
- 11:36Speaker 1: memory in her head, which is very funny because he
- 11:39Speaker 1: just says out of nowhere that was clearly a scam,
- 11:43Speaker 1: but uh yeah, your girl, she doesn't know what a
- 11:47Speaker 1: scam means. She is just on one hundred percent sincerity
- 11:53Speaker 1: for everybody all the time. And this is the sort
- 11:58Speaker 1: of thing that I could definitely see being really tiresome
- 12:02Speaker 1: after a point, but I have to admit that right now,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I still find it kind of amusing. It's sort of
- 12:09Speaker 1: like she is the a female version of Soangy, except
- 12:17Speaker 1: instead of it being about sexual attraction, it's about their
- 12:21Speaker 1: like flattery of her, like they're convincing her that I
- 12:28Speaker 1: need you, you know, that kind of thing, and the
- 12:31Speaker 1: fact that that is her weak point is sort of
- 12:34Speaker 1: fascinating honestly, Like, I it just this is just a
- 12:40Speaker 1: thing that I think is there's a lot of room
- 12:43Speaker 1: to do something sort of interesting here, and I'm not
- 12:46Speaker 1: sure we will, but I am. I am here for it,
- 12:51Speaker 1: just you know, for the record. So anyway, she she
- 12:58Speaker 1: sees Frankie and at first she says like, I thought
- 13:02Speaker 1: that he was a pacifista, and later on she completely
- 13:07Speaker 1: unleashes on him, and when she steps back and sees
- 13:11Speaker 1: that he is still okay, She's like, Okay, what the
- 13:14Speaker 1: fuck is this guy? Because of Pacifista would have been
- 13:17Speaker 1: laid out by that, and he is fine. I literally
- 13:21Speaker 1: did not even dent this guy, so I am like,
- 13:25Speaker 1: it didn't occur to me that he could be mistaken
- 13:29Speaker 1: for Pacifista, and he doesn't really look like one, really,
- 13:32Speaker 1: but I could see the comparison, and I was like,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I wonder if anybody else is going to make that
- 13:37Speaker 1: mistake as well. That comparison makes sense when I stop
- 13:43Speaker 1: and think about it. So the two of them are
- 13:48Speaker 1: just kind of going nuts on Frankie on the shore,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and like I said, nothing really makes much of a
- 13:54Speaker 1: impression on him until finally she does. I think it's
- 13:59Speaker 1: like a flame thrower thing, and that seems to be
- 14:03Speaker 1: the one that really hits, and Buffalo manages to use
- 14:10Speaker 1: his fanning power to increase the heat of the flames,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and Frankie, you know, he's trapped inside a giant metal suit.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So yeah, it definitely is not feeling great in there
- 14:26Speaker 1: for him, and I was sort of glad that there
- 14:29Speaker 1: was a kryptonite, so to speak. Excuse me, because I
- 14:35Speaker 1: do feel like the idea of him being totally impervious
- 14:42Speaker 1: to absolutely everything, he's got to have some sort of
- 14:46Speaker 1: weak point, you know, and it being heat is actually
- 14:50Speaker 1: a little bit more interesting than what I was expecting,
- 14:53Speaker 1: because I really did think it was going to come
- 14:55Speaker 1: down to a kind of like penetrating weapon, And it
- 14:59Speaker 1: turns out when she does like penetrate, it doesn't matter
- 15:02Speaker 1: because that doesn't really do anything to him, you know.
- 15:06Speaker 1: The heat is really the thing that starts to get
- 15:08Speaker 1: to him. But we're going to jump over to the
- 15:15Speaker 1: kids and Nami, et cetera. They are all like together
- 15:21Speaker 1: realizing that in order to get out of here, there
- 15:25Speaker 1: is going to be a lot of obstacles in their way.
- 15:30Speaker 1: They have found this like I don't know what the
- 15:34Speaker 1: word is for this, the.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Uh what is it?
- 15:40Speaker 1: The what are those things that you like sit in
- 15:44Speaker 1: and they roll along a track like a cart? I guess,
- 15:47Speaker 1: but you know what I'm talking about where it's like
- 15:49Speaker 1: in a mine and it's sort of like that. But
- 15:52Speaker 1: they're all standing around and they're looking at this door
- 15:54Speaker 1: that's closing before their eyes while this cart is full
- 15:59Speaker 1: of children and also brown beard and everything, and Law
- 16:03Speaker 1: is like, what the fuck are you guys standing around for?
- 16:06Speaker 1: And Lufy says, we're not all here yet. I'm waiting
- 16:10Speaker 1: for the rest of my crew, like Moca's not here,
- 16:14Speaker 1: Chopper is not here. And also Tashigi points out that
- 16:19Speaker 1: there's some of their marines that are not accounted for either.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And Law. You know, I don't dislike Law, but he
- 16:28Speaker 1: is certainly a survivor. This is a guy who is
- 16:31Speaker 1: going to try and make it himself, and everybody else
- 16:35Speaker 1: is just kind of found for themselves. And you know,
- 16:38Speaker 1: there are times where I really don't begrudge that. Here
- 16:41Speaker 1: is one time where deciding to just fucking run, I
- 16:46Speaker 1: would even understand it, but I can't really respect it,
- 16:50Speaker 1: you know. Like so I love the fact that he
- 16:53Speaker 1: clearly doesn't really know who he's dealing with with Loufy,
- 16:56Speaker 1: and when Lufy is just like, what you mean, what
- 17:00Speaker 1: am I doing? I'm waiting for my people because I'm
- 17:03Speaker 1: not an asshole. It's just such a foregone conclusion to
- 17:07Speaker 1: Lufy that you fucking wait for them. And I keep
- 17:12Speaker 1: enjoying how Law just is learning over and over again
- 17:19Speaker 1: who he's decided to work with. This dude wasn't ready.
- 17:24Speaker 1: He really thought, he really thought right, you needed to,
- 17:29Speaker 1: like you should have you had two years, you should
- 17:33Speaker 1: have wanted around and like asked people about Lufy's personality
- 17:38Speaker 1: a little bit and gotten a teensy bit more prepped
- 17:44Speaker 1: for who he is, because he was very much expecting
- 17:49Speaker 1: a person who is more serious than what he is getting.
- 17:53Speaker 2: And I think.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That a lot of people have made this mistake. Saraphim says,
- 17:59Speaker 1: a mind cart. Is that all that's called?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Just a mind card? It probably is. They're probably right.
- 18:05Speaker 1: But anyway, so let's jump over to Oosup, who he
- 18:12Speaker 1: is with all the guys still in that control room,
- 18:15Speaker 1: and he realizes, after sort of like rallying them that
- 18:18Speaker 1: he never asked for the sea prism stone what do
- 18:22Speaker 1: you call hims? The handcuffs, And it turns out every
- 18:28Speaker 1: single one of them gets a pair of these, which
- 18:30Speaker 1: is truly bananas. And I actually am kind of hoping
- 18:33Speaker 1: that our crew holds onto some of these because they
- 18:35Speaker 1: could come in very handy. Eventually there comes later on
- 18:39Speaker 1: and I'm just going to jump and talk about it
- 18:42Speaker 1: a point where Oosup uses these in one of his
- 18:47Speaker 1: like I keep when I say boomerang, what is the
- 18:52Speaker 1: thing where you pull it back and you let go?
- 18:55Speaker 1: But he's got a bunch of rocks, and of course
- 18:57Speaker 1: those just like slingshot, he say, bails than through. I
- 19:02Speaker 1: actually really like the way this works, because of course
- 19:05Speaker 1: they go through Caesar at first, because Caesar is made
- 19:08Speaker 1: of gas, but Caesar, because he is made of gas,
- 19:12Speaker 1: and because these things aren't doing anything to him, they
- 19:17Speaker 1: lull him into this sense of security so that he
- 19:22Speaker 1: is unprepared for something that actually does hit a second later,
- 19:26Speaker 1: because it turns out that mixed in with all of
- 19:29Speaker 1: that are the sea prism stone handcuffs, which grip around
- 19:35Speaker 1: him and take him down. And I was truly unprepared
- 19:40Speaker 1: for that, you guys. I really didn't see it coming.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And I felt very silly because he has been after
- 19:48Speaker 1: these fucking things for like six episodes in a row, now,
- 19:50Speaker 1: like longer than that, and I didn't even really I
- 19:54Speaker 1: will admit actually that when he stops here in this
- 19:58Speaker 1: scene and it's sort of like, oh yeah, right, I
- 20:02Speaker 1: forgot to get the sea Prism stone handcuffs, there was
- 20:05Speaker 1: very much a voice in my head going, now, like,
- 20:09Speaker 1: what's the point of getting them now?
- 20:10Speaker 2: I was not with it at all.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I was not thinking clearly, because if I had stopped
- 20:16Speaker 1: to consider for one moment that we still have Caesar
- 20:19Speaker 1: out there running around, then I would have understood why
- 20:21Speaker 1: we still fucking need these things. Of course we do,
- 20:24Speaker 1: but I was just not like, I wasn't considering everything,
- 20:29Speaker 1: and I was like just not thinking through what his
- 20:35Speaker 1: skill set is and his being ousops, because my idea
- 20:40Speaker 1: was that whoever, like, he's getting these sea prism stone cuffs,
- 20:44Speaker 1: but he is getting them on behalf of somebody else
- 20:49Speaker 1: for them to use them. And honestly, that's a little
- 20:54Speaker 1: disrespectful for me to be like, oh, whatever Usop's getting,
- 20:58Speaker 1: Usop's not the one who's gonna do anything with it
- 21:00Speaker 1: because Oo stops nothing like low key. That's sort of
- 21:04Speaker 1: the way I was moving about this. So when he
- 21:08Speaker 1: does that surprise thing and sends them flying and manages
- 21:12Speaker 1: to get caeesar with that, I cheered out loud. I
- 21:16Speaker 1: was just like, nice one, Okay, yes, this is what
- 21:20Speaker 1: I'm talking about. I really enjoyed that little surprise. So anyway,
- 21:24Speaker 1: and also here when us Up asks for them, he
- 21:27Speaker 1: does it is an afterthought because they're almost about like
- 21:30Speaker 1: to leave this room and he just stops and is like, fuck,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I forgot to even ask about them. Does anybody buy
- 21:37Speaker 1: any chance know where I could find And these dudes
- 21:41Speaker 1: all pull out like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I have
- 21:43Speaker 1: some we all have a pair. And I like this
- 21:45Speaker 1: moment a lot where he just stops and goes, well,
- 21:47Speaker 1: look at that. May never be afraid to ask for
- 21:51Speaker 1: help everybody, which is it's a great lesson, but also
- 21:57Speaker 1: oos Up isn't the one who should be teaching it,
- 21:59Speaker 1: because that's all he ever does is ask for help.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Because this boy, well bless him, but he does not
- 22:06Speaker 1: do a whole lot without asking somebody else to do
- 22:09Speaker 1: it first, if I'm being honest. So okay, we are
- 22:16Speaker 1: still with the majority of the straw Hack crew spends
- 22:22Speaker 1: a lot of this episode standing stock still and watching
- 22:26Speaker 1: the doorways close and worrying because the ceiling seems to
- 22:30Speaker 1: be caving in, And we finally get a moment when
- 22:35Speaker 1: it's almost closed where we hear Chopper shouting Lufy's name
- 22:40Speaker 1: and you see like the shadow of them coming out
- 22:43Speaker 1: of the the smoke and the fog of this poison
- 22:48Speaker 1: gas is behind them, and they manage to get through
- 22:54Speaker 1: just barely before the door closes. So now it's time
- 23:00Speaker 1: to get up on this cart and I say a
- 23:04Speaker 1: mining cart, but those are traditionally meant to only carry
- 23:06Speaker 1: like two people and this thing carries like seventy five
- 23:09Speaker 1: two hundred people, so we are dealing with a very
- 23:14Speaker 1: different thing. So this is when we get the phone
- 23:20Speaker 1: call from Monet to do Flamingo and she is explaining
- 23:27Speaker 1: to him about how everything has gone to shit. He
- 23:32Speaker 1: tells her that we've got baby five out there on
- 23:35Speaker 1: the job and that they should probably be able to
- 23:38Speaker 1: pick up oh my god, Caesar, and despite everything having
- 23:46Speaker 1: gone left, but also that Virgo has been defeated, so like,
- 23:50Speaker 1: you know, things have just kind of fallen apart, but
- 23:52Speaker 1: there is the bright spot of still having Caesar and
- 23:57Speaker 1: she is clearly in bad shape. Is like, well, that's
- 24:01Speaker 1: good to hear. And I really I was so confused,
- 24:07Speaker 1: you guys, and I knew that it couldn't be what
- 24:09Speaker 1: it looked like. But Caesar during this episode is just
- 24:17Speaker 1: starting to wake up from having been passed out when
- 24:21Speaker 1: Lofy kicked him to the edge of the doc I
- 24:28Speaker 1: guess is what it's called. And the way in which
- 24:36Speaker 1: this happened, like he pulls out the heart and I
- 24:42Speaker 1: genuinely do not remember this moment, so please forgive me, guys,
- 24:49Speaker 1: but I'm sure that we saw it and I just
- 24:52Speaker 1: don't remember it, But we get a flashback a little
- 24:56Speaker 1: bit later on from Law's perspective of the moment when
- 25:01Speaker 1: he gives the heart to Caesar after allegedly cutting it
- 25:08Speaker 1: out of well, I say, allegedly he did cut it
- 25:11Speaker 1: out of Smoker's chest, but he lets Caesar believe that
- 25:16Speaker 1: that is Smoker's heart, and he pulls a fast one
- 25:20Speaker 1: and actually gives him the heart of Monet, because remember,
- 25:24Speaker 1: he exchanged his heart with Monet's heart as the like
- 25:30Speaker 1: insurance for staying loyal to Caesar, and I didn't remember
- 25:36Speaker 1: him handing over Smoker's heart at all. So I'm watching
- 25:42Speaker 1: Caesar like holding the knife over this heart, and I
- 25:48Speaker 1: genuinely wasn't sure what to think because I knew it
- 25:53Speaker 1: was unlikely that Caesar was going to die, or not Caesar,
- 25:59Speaker 1: that Smoker was going to die. Honestly, nobody ever really dies.
- 26:05Speaker 1: But it does seem like maybe Monette actually died, so
- 26:10Speaker 1: I don't know how much to believe that. But she
- 26:14Speaker 1: is in that room with that button, and she's talking
- 26:19Speaker 1: to do Flamingo about how if he is willing to
- 26:24Speaker 1: lose one tanker full of sad, if he's willing to
- 26:31Speaker 1: sacrifice it, that she will push this button, and she
- 26:37Speaker 1: just wanted to check with him first, basically, and this
- 26:44Speaker 1: is when he says, die for me, Monette, and take
- 26:47Speaker 1: all of them with you. And I was watching this
- 26:55Speaker 1: and I was like, all right, here's two things that
- 26:58Speaker 1: I genuinely don't know how how we're gonna get out
- 27:00Speaker 1: of her with this button. There's nobody in the building.
- 27:05Speaker 1: We just saw all of our friends fucking bail. The
- 27:09Speaker 1: only way that I could see her being stopped was that, well,
- 27:14Speaker 1: they're still in the building, but they're they're leaving, like
- 27:16Speaker 1: nobody's in her vicinity. The only thing I could consider
- 27:20Speaker 1: was maybe Virgo somehow, like he is still in the building,
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm assuming, and perhaps if he is nearby and seeing
- 27:27Speaker 1: that she is about to take this whole fucking place down,
- 27:29Speaker 1: he decides to like put his foot down and put
- 27:31Speaker 1: a stop to it. I don't know, Like that's the
- 27:36Speaker 1: only thing that I could really conceive of stopping this.
- 27:41Speaker 1: And then Caesar with that heart, So we had two
- 27:46Speaker 1: things that I was truly like, oh shit, what is this?
- 27:51Speaker 2: What do we do now?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Like I was so floored by it, and I couldn't
- 27:57Speaker 1: find a way out. And you know the way that
- 28:02Speaker 1: this show works inevitably, her pressing this button gets drawn
- 28:08Speaker 1: the fuck out so bad. We have her slowly opening
- 28:14Speaker 1: this thing and then lifting her wings and closing her
- 28:17Speaker 1: eyes and taking this deep breath, and then she pulls
- 28:21Speaker 1: like the snow out of the air, and it's like
- 28:25Speaker 1: her bending back, letting the snow cover her, and then
- 28:28Speaker 1: we cut from her to uh, oh, my God, to Caesar,
- 28:37Speaker 1: who is like talking about how he can't wait to
- 28:40Speaker 1: stab Smoker's heart, and he's imagining the way that everybody
- 28:45Speaker 1: is going to react when they realize that Smoker is
- 28:48Speaker 1: starting to die for like out of nowhere, that they're
- 28:50Speaker 1: all going to be so frightened and unsure. And so,
- 28:57Speaker 1: you know, we're really chewing the scenery here. We've got
- 29:01Speaker 1: a lot, and I'm starting to be like, okay, guys,
- 29:05Speaker 1: let's get this on the road, because I also, like
- 29:08Speaker 1: I said, I didn't have a good explanation for how
- 29:12Speaker 1: this was working, how we were going to get out
- 29:14Speaker 1: of it. So it was also just deeply curious and
- 29:17Speaker 1: starting to get pretty impatient. And we cut briefly over
- 29:24Speaker 1: to as Caesar is saying, let's see where is it.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I think it's Caesar saying I'll get my revenge on you, smoker.
- 29:33Speaker 1: We cut over to Virgo, who is still like his
- 29:37Speaker 1: head is in two halves, and they almost seemed to
- 29:42Speaker 1: be like his parts all seemed to be stuck on
- 29:46Speaker 1: the railing in the room that they had been fighting in. Now,
- 29:52Speaker 1: I didn't remember them being positioned like this. And what
- 29:57Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out is whether or not this
- 30:00Speaker 1: this is something that happened because of law, or if
- 30:03Speaker 1: this is something that law, Like, he dropped his parts
- 30:07Speaker 1: all over and this dude is just beginning to pull
- 30:11Speaker 1: them together because he is, you know, he doesn't have
- 30:17Speaker 1: a lot of means to manipulate his body parts when
- 30:21Speaker 1: they're all split up, so he's using the railing to
- 30:25Speaker 1: draw his pieces together potentially.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I'm like, I know that that sounds weird. I'm trying
- 30:32Speaker 1: to find a way to explain this, but I feel
- 30:35Speaker 1: like that's I feel like I said it.
- 30:39Speaker 2: But yeah, I.
- 30:41Speaker 1: The railing thing just kind of caught me off guard.
- 30:44Speaker 1: And it's not like he's moving in that scene. We
- 30:49Speaker 1: are just seeing his pieces of his face. Oh wait,
- 30:52Speaker 1: he does smile just for a moment when he hears
- 30:58Speaker 1: do Flamingo say thank you, old friend. I'm sorry it
- 31:01Speaker 1: had to end this way. Thank you for all those
- 31:03Speaker 1: years of service. So that's interesting that Virgo smiles when
- 31:07Speaker 1: he hears this, because he doesn't seem worried at all
- 31:11Speaker 1: that he's going to die, so he must not be
- 31:14Speaker 1: gonna die, or he knows that Caesar has the wrong
- 31:19Speaker 1: heart or something. I don't know, but suffice to say,
- 31:28Speaker 1: she's still you guys, I you know put I have
- 31:32Speaker 1: the episode playing in the background when I record, so
- 31:34Speaker 1: that I can see things and read the dialogue verbatim
- 31:37Speaker 1: and everything like that. And this bitch is still here
- 31:41Speaker 1: in this like backbend with her eyes closed, like she's
- 31:45Speaker 1: having an orgasm, about to press this button, Like this
- 31:48Speaker 1: has just been going on for so very long. So
- 31:52Speaker 1: finally she says, farewell, young master, though I won't be
- 31:56Speaker 1: around to see it, I know you'll become of the pirates.
- 32:02Speaker 1: And she says this her eyes finally open. Her wing
- 32:06Speaker 1: goes over to press the button, and we see her
- 32:11Speaker 1: wing actually seem to touch it, and as she's like
- 32:17Speaker 1: pressing it, we get a quick flash of all the
- 32:21Speaker 1: characters and all of their faces, and then there is
- 32:26Speaker 1: this huge explosion. But apparently not. I'm confused by this.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Is this supposed to be like it was only a
- 32:40Speaker 1: partial explosion? Like, exactly how is this so? Anyway, what
- 32:45Speaker 1: we find out is that when Caesar stabbed the heart
- 32:50Speaker 1: that he thought was smokers, he actually stabbed Monet's heart.
- 32:54Speaker 1: So when we start the second episode, she still has
- 32:59Speaker 1: not yet pressed the button. We have to back it
- 33:01Speaker 1: up again, right, Oh my god, so much of this,
- 33:06Speaker 1: so much of this. Oh and I forgot to meant
- 33:10Speaker 1: that Mama Nosuke has found his dad and is very
- 33:14Speaker 1: very upset because he has turned a stone and is
- 33:16Speaker 1: crying over him. He'll be fine, I have no doubt
- 33:19Speaker 1: we will find a way to fix this.
- 33:23Speaker 2: So let's see you, guys.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I'm seven minutes into the second episode and she still
- 33:32Speaker 1: hasn't pressed the button. We still have her in a
- 33:35Speaker 1: backbend here. Ah, she starts enumerting everyone and even you,
- 33:43Speaker 1: poor children, this is where you will die here with me.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Oh my god, girl, get to the point. So she
- 33:54Speaker 1: pushes the button, and we have again this flash of
- 34:01Speaker 1: the fire that would be following everybody down the corridor
- 34:05Speaker 1: as they are fleeing because they're on this.
- 34:08Speaker 2: What do you call it?
- 34:10Speaker 1: Cart thing? We go to her and the like huge
- 34:15Speaker 1: flash of bright white light and her shaking and trembling
- 34:20Speaker 1: as the whole place caves in around her, and then
- 34:23Speaker 1: all of a sudden it cuts. Her eyes are wide,
- 34:28Speaker 1: she is sweating, she's staring at the button, and her
- 34:32Speaker 1: like wingtip is shaking poised over the button, and she
- 34:37Speaker 1: puts a hand to her chest and collapses without having
- 34:43Speaker 1: pressed it. And I will tell you what, kids, I
- 34:48Speaker 1: felt like such a ding dong because I didn't realize
- 34:52Speaker 1: what was happening here. I genuinely didn't get it, like
- 34:57Speaker 1: I had to have it spoon fed to me. So
- 35:03Speaker 1: then we go to Law, who very calmly says, oh,
- 35:09Speaker 1: that must have come from Building D. That's the sad
- 35:12Speaker 1: manufacturing room. And he seems unbothered by this. She's still there,
- 35:23Speaker 1: audio smoker, see you in hal a Caesar clown like
- 35:27Speaker 1: pushes that weird stone knife into the heart that is
- 35:32Speaker 1: in front of him, and then we cut back to Monet,
- 35:35Speaker 1: and that was when I started to finally realize, oh
- 35:38Speaker 1: my god, he has the wrong heart.
- 35:41Speaker 2: What a goober, And.
- 35:44Speaker 1: She whispers, I'm sorry, but the transponder snail does not
- 35:47Speaker 1: pick it up, so we have got do Flamingo for
- 35:50Speaker 1: a while, sitting there not knowing what is going on.
- 35:53Speaker 1: At first, he thinks that she's just not answering him,
- 35:55Speaker 1: and you know, eventually it becomes clear that she did
- 35:58Speaker 1: not go according to play Land, but it takes a
- 36:02Speaker 1: while before he can really be sure that things haven't happened.
- 36:08Speaker 1: So then we get the moment with Law explaining to
- 36:12Speaker 1: Smoker and giving Smoker his He had already given Smoker
- 36:16Speaker 1: his heart back. That's part of the thing, is like
- 36:18Speaker 1: when you see that that Caesar is about to stab
- 36:22Speaker 1: the heart. When we cut to Smoker at one point,
- 36:27Speaker 1: we get a zero in on his chest and you
- 36:30Speaker 1: can see that it is complete, that heart isn't missing.
- 36:35Speaker 1: So it was very much a kind of moment, you know,
- 36:39Speaker 1: and then you quickly figure out like, oh then what
- 36:43Speaker 1: does that mean? But uh, you know, not as not
- 36:47Speaker 1: as quickly as you might have expected to figure it out.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Not as quickly.
- 36:54Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying, is I'm not smart. Uh. Seraphim says, Yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 1: this is the point where the anime really started patting
- 37:10Speaker 1: scenes out.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah, this bitch took forever.
- 37:13Speaker 1: It's meant to be her imagining what the explosion would
- 37:16Speaker 1: be like, or something for the sake of drama, not
- 37:18Speaker 1: even sure if this was in the manga or if
- 37:20Speaker 1: it was just the anime being the anime. Yeah, it's
- 37:23Speaker 1: really confusing. It was really confusing to me, you guys,
- 37:27Speaker 1: because like the thing about showing somebody imagining something versus
- 37:33Speaker 1: the thing actually happening is there is usually a lot
- 37:40Speaker 1: more of an indicator when something turns out to have
- 37:45Speaker 1: been a dream or a day dream or this is
- 37:52Speaker 1: what was about to happen if somebody didn't step in,
- 37:55Speaker 1: you know, Like that sort of thing always has a
- 38:00Speaker 1: look to it when it's on film, where it's either
- 38:06Speaker 1: filmed in such a color scale or in some way
- 38:09Speaker 1: that sort of makes it seem like something is off here,
- 38:13Speaker 1: or you just have a like an undoing that is
- 38:19Speaker 1: really really obvious to sort of point out with no
- 38:25Speaker 1: ambiguity at all. Oh no, that didn't happen, Lol, we
- 38:31Speaker 1: got you. You know, there's often that sort of feeling
- 38:34Speaker 1: to it of like haha, you fell for it, and
- 38:37Speaker 1: the way that we cut back to reality is almost
- 38:42Speaker 1: exaggerated to really let us know that did not happen
- 38:46Speaker 1: to you, Dodo Bird, and we don't get that kind
- 38:52Speaker 1: of like sort of vibe to her imaginings here, the
- 39:00Speaker 1: way that she is thinking about it feels like the
- 39:03Speaker 1: camera is pulling away and showing us what's going on.
- 39:07Speaker 1: The color scheme doesn't change. Everybody looks like they normally look.
- 39:13Speaker 1: The whole thing is just really similar, and it's like
- 39:19Speaker 1: you can't really differentiate it from anything else. So it
- 39:24Speaker 1: just to me, I kept getting really confused, and then
- 39:27Speaker 1: like to top it off, it's not even it seems
- 39:31Speaker 1: like that the whole thing was just her imagination. It
- 39:35Speaker 1: seems like there was a small explosion, right, because that's
- 39:43Speaker 1: what law says that must have come from building D.
- 39:47Speaker 1: So I'm not sure how she managed to like cause
- 39:53Speaker 1: a small explosion, but not the whole facility explosion, like
- 39:57Speaker 1: what it was that she did that made it go off,
- 40:02Speaker 1: like but only part way. So it was just like
- 40:06Speaker 1: mixed together. It just really felt like we're getting a
- 40:13Speaker 1: mix of something that's real with something that is not.
- 40:17Speaker 1: And the acknowledgement of the thing that I thought was
- 40:21Speaker 1: also fake by a character that is, you know, telling
- 40:25Speaker 1: me no, no, that did really happen. So the whole
- 40:29Speaker 1: thing felt it was a bit of a shame actually,
- 40:33Speaker 1: because I felt like the idea of her choosing to
- 40:37Speaker 1: die on behalf of do Flamingo and sacrifice herself in
- 40:41Speaker 1: order to do this, like take to make this massive
- 40:46Speaker 1: statement and sacrifice. I kind of liked this actually in concept,
- 40:54Speaker 1: and it just got so muddled after it all was
- 40:59Speaker 1: said and done that I didn't really I felt like
- 41:05Speaker 1: the fact that the giant explosion doesn't seem to quite
- 41:10Speaker 1: happen the way that it did. It was almost confusing
- 41:13Speaker 1: the fact that her heart had been stabbed, and whether
- 41:15Speaker 1: it was what I thought it was either, Like it
- 41:19Speaker 1: just started to make everything sort of blend together in
- 41:22Speaker 1: a wait, well, wait, which part of.
- 41:24Speaker 2: This is real then? If that makes sense?
- 41:29Speaker 1: So yeah, I like I liked what we were doing here,
- 41:33Speaker 1: but I felt like we could have done a lot
- 41:36Speaker 1: more and made it a lot more clear, even with
- 41:40Speaker 1: the padding, you know, I think that there is a
- 41:42Speaker 1: way to pull this off. It's just kind of interesting
- 41:46Speaker 1: to me, with the way that the anime works, and
- 41:49Speaker 1: evidently the way a lot of anime works, it's interesting
- 41:53Speaker 1: to me how much of the time I feel like
- 41:57Speaker 1: a thing being padded. It isn't exactly the problem, it's
- 42:03Speaker 1: just that they pad it in the laziest way. Imaginable,
- 42:08Speaker 1: and I have to imagine it's purely due to budgeting, right,
- 42:13Speaker 1: because the padding that I am thinking up when I'm
- 42:17Speaker 1: talking to you guys, it involves more script being written,
- 42:22Speaker 1: It involves different animation being thrown into things to like,
- 42:26Speaker 1: you know, whatever, explain or dialogue or whatever. And I
- 42:32Speaker 1: guess that's really what the problem is, is that when
- 42:35Speaker 1: you're padding, you're trying to just reuse footage, and that
- 42:42Speaker 1: is by its nature, going to be much more difficult
- 42:46Speaker 1: to make seem like a distinct event. So unless like
- 42:52Speaker 1: it just seems though so often this show is like
- 42:57Speaker 1: a voiceover of somebody recounting a thing in the past
- 43:00Speaker 1: over footage that we have already seen. As much as
- 43:06Speaker 1: I am over here trying to like explain away why
- 43:09Speaker 1: the kinds of padding I would prefer aren't as possible
- 43:15Speaker 1: as I'm saying it, I'm really kind of feeling like no,
- 43:18Speaker 1: but it is still possible, though, you would just all
- 43:21Speaker 1: you would have to do is write it in to
- 43:26Speaker 1: a voice over over some of the reused footage, and
- 43:31Speaker 1: you could still have there be more of an explanation
- 43:35Speaker 1: on another thing, and maybe it wouldn't be as satisfying
- 43:38Speaker 1: as seeing that thing they're explaining actually animated, But it
- 43:43Speaker 1: would certainly be more interesting than just watching like music
- 43:49Speaker 1: and repeat footage over and over again, right, I think?
- 43:55Speaker 1: So Anyway, all that to say, this sequence was almost good,
- 44:00Speaker 1: but it just missed because I found that to be
- 44:03Speaker 1: very muddled. So this is when the cart is like
- 44:09Speaker 1: heading out and we see that there's all of this
- 44:12Speaker 1: gas ahead. I really like the moment where Zoro is
- 44:16Speaker 1: looking at it and is like, uh so should I
- 44:19Speaker 1: like cut it or And I couldn't remember. I know
- 44:25Speaker 1: that there is something that happens when it's still smiley,
- 44:28Speaker 1: and he's like trying to cut the gas when it's
- 44:32Speaker 1: just smiley, and it does something else. I can't remember
- 44:35Speaker 1: what happens though, And Law this is very funny to me.
- 44:41Speaker 1: He says something like does anybody have wind powers here?
- 44:48Speaker 1: Because we could just push the gas out of our
- 44:51Speaker 1: way as we come out and then we would be fine,
- 44:55Speaker 1: And everybody around him is like, do you really think
- 44:58Speaker 1: that we just have somebody that has those powers like
- 45:03Speaker 1: with us by coincidence? And then Nammy raises her hand
- 45:07Speaker 1: and is like, oh win power, Yeah, I can do that,
- 45:10Speaker 1: and everybody is like, are you serious? That was funny.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I did really really like that. Also, you guys know
- 45:17Speaker 1: that I am into any time Namy gets to use
- 45:21Speaker 1: her ability. I really wish we utilized this a little
- 45:24Speaker 1: bit more. And the whole way that she manages to
- 45:29Speaker 1: like work this is quite fun. So let's see, I'm
- 45:36Speaker 1: trying to Okay, Yeah, here's the part at the very
- 45:39Speaker 1: end of the second episode is when the little girl
- 45:41Speaker 1: is trying to find Do Flamingo and he has taken off,
- 45:46Speaker 1: apparently without telling anybody on his own crew that's what
- 45:49Speaker 1: he's done. So he has left and just flown off
- 45:53Speaker 1: on his own. And I love that he is still
- 45:58Speaker 1: in contact with Buffalo and uh and Baby five, and
- 46:05Speaker 1: he says, this is so funny to me because the
- 46:07Speaker 1: way he says this, it's like, obviously the two of
- 46:12Speaker 1: them are quite distracted right now, right, so I understand
- 46:16Speaker 1: that this wouldn't quite hit But he is like, so
- 46:23Speaker 1: you guys are safe, and they're like, yeah, we are.
- 46:27Speaker 1: And of course they take him asking if they're safe
- 46:30Speaker 1: as like, hey, guys, I'm worried about you, which I
- 46:33Speaker 1: don't blame them for taking it that way. Usually when
- 46:36Speaker 1: somebody says are you say, that's what they mean, but
- 46:40Speaker 1: then he follows it up with like, so the island
- 46:43Speaker 1: isn't just a pile of like smoking rubble, And it's
- 46:47Speaker 1: very clear from his tone of voice that he is disappointed.
- 46:50Speaker 1: And also the camera is on his face and he
- 46:52Speaker 1: is frowning, and I was just like giggling to myself
- 46:57Speaker 1: because again they're distracted, so they don't notice. But basically
- 47:02Speaker 1: what he is saying is, it's a bummer. You guys
- 47:05Speaker 1: are still alive, but they don't notice. They do not notice.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I just found that very funny because this dude is
- 47:22Speaker 1: so obvious about how disposable they are, and you know what,
- 47:27Speaker 1: these guys are still blonkers that I can't even tell
- 47:29Speaker 1: if it would bother them, because it's not like with Caesar.
- 47:36Speaker 1: He pretended that he cared about his people in a
- 47:40Speaker 1: real way, so that it was a true shock to
- 47:43Speaker 1: them when it turned out he didn't give a fuck
- 47:47Speaker 1: and saw them as test subjects.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Right, And.
- 47:53Speaker 1: I don't know if Dol Flamingo has made his people
- 47:56Speaker 1: feel like they are super valuable or if they understand
- 48:03Speaker 1: that they're just sort of like pieces in this puzzle
- 48:06Speaker 1: and that he will sacrifice them at any point, because
- 48:10Speaker 1: sometimes you would think people would not be okay with that,
- 48:14Speaker 1: but it will turn out that they very much are, actually,
- 48:18Speaker 1: because there's like a cult of personality going on. And
- 48:22Speaker 1: I think that's the part that I'm I'm like expecting
- 48:25Speaker 1: for them to feel a bit of a way about
- 48:29Speaker 1: him just saying that they are disposable. And I don't
- 48:32Speaker 1: know the situation. Maybe they know they are already and
- 48:35Speaker 1: it doesn't matter to hear it.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Actually I don't know.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I don't know anyway. So see, Oh god, I forgot
- 48:48Speaker 1: about this bit with Soanjy because there's let's see, before
- 48:57Speaker 1: we get outside, even if we do, there's a guest
- 48:59Speaker 1: can ear can you seriously conjure up wind? And Sanji
- 49:03Speaker 1: just yells if you doubt Nami, I got one thing
- 49:07Speaker 1: to say, get off right now? Well anyone maybe you,
- 49:12Speaker 1: And one of the dudes just says, bro chill out.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Oh this is a Sanji. I prefer when he is
- 49:24Speaker 1: fiercely like defensive of them rather than just being like
- 49:28Speaker 1: a creep with a bloody nose. This is the Sonjy
- 49:30Speaker 1: I'm interested in. So yeah, we are hurtling towards the exit,
- 49:38Speaker 1: and I love Lufy turning to her and saying we
- 49:43Speaker 1: know you got this, goos Up contributing you're pretty much
- 49:46Speaker 1: our only hope at this point, and then we get
- 49:49Speaker 1: the camera shot from below of Nami, who is, by
- 49:53Speaker 1: the way, still in a bikini top, and it's just titties, titties,
- 49:56Speaker 1: titties all God damn day long Christ's sake. So see,
- 50:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to find the spot. Oh yeah, Frankie. In
- 50:11Speaker 1: the meantime, I'm gonna give you a taste of the
- 50:13Speaker 1: ultimate secret weapon. Don't tell anybody else though, because it's secret.
- 50:18Speaker 1: And he calls it the land based Portable gam Canon.
- 50:25Speaker 1: It's ga n I can't remember how he pronounces it,
- 50:29Speaker 1: but it's like these two things come out of his
- 50:31Speaker 1: hands and he puts his hands together to get it working,
- 50:36Speaker 1: and he says the working title is and he starts
- 50:42Speaker 1: to create this like lightning stream before it focuses into
- 50:47Speaker 1: more of I don't want to say a laser because
- 50:49Speaker 1: it's not that focused. But he says general Canon, which
- 50:57Speaker 1: is just not really a good name. I'm gonna say it.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I think it's supposed to sound good because general in
- 51:05Speaker 1: an army is somebody that's like higher in rank, but
- 51:09Speaker 1: general also can mean sort of like basic all purpose
- 51:15Speaker 1: as well, and it felt very much like he was saying,
- 51:19Speaker 1: you know, this is your basic canon here. You know,
- 51:22Speaker 1: the canon's kind of you know, it does what a
- 51:24Speaker 1: canon does, no bells and whistles, You're getting what you expect.
- 51:30Speaker 1: It just felt like, after all that builds up, when
- 51:33Speaker 1: he says what the name is, I was like, that's it, really,
- 51:36Speaker 1: But it does send the two of them absolutely flying,
- 51:40Speaker 1: and then when our friends go out through this like
- 51:45Speaker 1: cloud of gas, finally Nami manages to use her lightning
- 51:51Speaker 1: power on these dudes. And it's so funny because when
- 51:55Speaker 1: they come out, evidently maybe five Buffalo both think that
- 52:04Speaker 1: Law is still on their side. Now, I'm gonna be
- 52:09Speaker 1: honest and admit something I thought, as I said last episode,
- 52:17Speaker 1: that it had to be Law that she was involved with,
- 52:21Speaker 1: that she was yelling at Do Flamingo for ruining another
- 52:28Speaker 1: love of hers because he was saying that, yeah, we
- 52:32Speaker 1: have to take Law out since he's getting in the
- 52:34Speaker 1: way of our plans. And so the fact that she
- 52:38Speaker 1: and Buffalo are both surprised at the fact that Law
- 52:43Speaker 1: is no longer on their side, I was like, have
- 52:47Speaker 1: you guys been listening to you why do you think
- 52:52Speaker 1: he wanted to kill Law? Like I guess maybe this
- 52:58Speaker 1: does point to all of them be disposable, that him
- 53:02Speaker 1: killing Law was just kind of like, I don't know,
- 53:04Speaker 1: he wanted to kill him for some reason.
- 53:05Speaker 2: It's not a big deal, but.
- 53:07Speaker 1: It's just funny because evidently, he, like Do Flamingo, did
- 53:14Speaker 1: not share with them or confide to them that this
- 53:19Speaker 1: guy has gone off and done his own thing actually
- 53:22Speaker 1: for a while now, and we only just became aware
- 53:25Speaker 1: of it. So the two of them aren't prepared for
- 53:29Speaker 1: Law to be against them, which could have really worked
- 53:33Speaker 1: in their favor if things had Like, honestly, even in
- 53:37Speaker 1: this moment when they turn around and they're like, Law,
- 53:40Speaker 1: what are you doing with them? You're our friend? You know,
- 53:44Speaker 1: what he should have done was been like, yeah, you're right, guys,
- 53:46Speaker 1: I'm totally with you, and gotten really close and then
- 53:49Speaker 1: attacked them when they had their guards down. But instead
- 53:53Speaker 1: he hangs back and tells everybody like no, no, no,
- 53:57Speaker 1: I'm they're my enemies, and he really just makes it clear,
- 54:02Speaker 1: and again these two are just completely taken off guard
- 54:05Speaker 1: by it, which Do Flamingo, you need to get your
- 54:08Speaker 1: communication a little bit more right.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Here.
- 54:14Speaker 1: So, yeah, this is when Nami says, you think you're
- 54:17Speaker 1: getting away, think again, cowards and a turn oosop, and
- 54:22Speaker 1: Usup even says their backs are to us and they're wounded,
- 54:26Speaker 1: which I feel like it's supposed to be. It doesn't
- 54:36Speaker 1: sound as bad ass when you say it like that,
- 54:40Speaker 1: us Up. It just sounds like you're pointing out that
- 54:44Speaker 1: you fight really dirty. And I don't actually believe this.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Just for the record, I think that this is how
- 54:51Speaker 1: you should approach it. If people are trying to kill
- 54:55Speaker 1: you and then they are injured and they have their
- 54:57Speaker 1: backs to you, yeah, definitely go ahead and shoot them
- 55:04Speaker 1: in the back. But it doesn't sound noble, and maybe
- 55:09Speaker 1: that's the point. Maybe I kind of just miss that.
- 55:11Speaker 1: This is meant to be a little bit more of
- 55:12Speaker 1: a joke about him trying to be like a tough guy,
- 55:16Speaker 1: but it is really him confessing that he's a bit
- 55:20Speaker 1: of a cheap shot. But anyway, Yeah, so this is
- 55:25Speaker 1: the point where Nami uses her lightning thing and she
- 55:29Speaker 1: fries them, and then Buffalo hasn't been quite taken down
- 55:35Speaker 1: by that. I think Baby five that that does her
- 55:38Speaker 1: and she's like completely out. There's smoke streaming out of
- 55:41Speaker 1: her mouth and stuff. But oos Up follows it up
- 55:45Speaker 1: with the rocks and that finishes off Buffalo and then
- 55:53Speaker 1: we have the sea prism stone cuffs that come out
- 55:57Speaker 1: of nowhere and take down Caesar. Now Caesar, he just
- 56:06Speaker 1: plummets to the earth. Is he over the water? I'm
- 56:10Speaker 1: trying to remember where he even lands. I forgot about
- 56:15Speaker 1: Lufy just going, yeah, he goes to the water. They
- 56:17Speaker 1: all land in the water. That's right, okay, But Lufy
- 56:21Speaker 1: talking to Law and just saying, told you pretty strong,
- 56:24Speaker 1: aren't they. So after after they all land, we have
- 56:33Speaker 1: this brief moment of like a weird I was looking
- 56:37Speaker 1: at this like what is happening here? It looks like
- 56:40Speaker 1: fur or something that's waving in the wind. And then
- 56:47Speaker 1: we see this.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Like a.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Group of birds, and then Do Flamingo. So I'm not
- 56:55Speaker 1: supposed to I'm not sure if Do Flamingo is meant
- 56:57Speaker 1: to be. It's clearly like his furry jacket that what
- 57:02Speaker 1: we were zeroed in on. But I think it's supposed
- 57:04Speaker 1: to be that he's like out pacing the birds in
- 57:07Speaker 1: his flight or something like that, and he just says
- 57:10Speaker 1: see you soon. I thought that would be the end
- 57:13Speaker 1: of the episode, but it is not. It fades out
- 57:17Speaker 1: and then we cut back to a kegee who is
- 57:24Speaker 1: fucking out here like on the ocean, and he had
- 57:29Speaker 1: been asleep. I guess he looks around him and he
- 57:34Speaker 1: is on this giant bird in the middle of the water.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I don't know if this is a boat or a creature.
- 57:40Speaker 1: And he just says, I fell asleep.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Oh, no big deal.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Which way's punk hazard And that's the end of the episode.
- 57:47Speaker 1: So now we're gonna be throwing a okigee in the
- 57:49Speaker 1: mixhit is about to get wild, truly wild. Oh sarahim
- 57:58Speaker 1: is in the chest says it's a penguin, okay, because
- 58:00Speaker 1: they the animation was super weird right there. Uh, Gail
- 58:08Speaker 1: Canon is Oda loving him some pun slash on a
- 58:11Speaker 1: monopea since it's the Sunny's main weapon that comes from
- 58:14Speaker 1: the figurehead's mouth. And Gao gao gaol is the Japanese
- 58:19Speaker 1: on amanopea for a lion's roar, So a lion's roar Canon, Oh,
- 58:25Speaker 1: that's fun. The general canon is a translation thing. The
- 58:29Speaker 1: actual name of the mech is the Frankie Showgun, but
- 58:32Speaker 1: it gets translated to General Frankie instead since there really
- 58:36Speaker 1: isn't an English equivalent to the title of showgun. Gotcha? Interesting, huh,
- 58:44Speaker 1: I'd like something like Maverick. Maybe I'm just sort of
- 58:48Speaker 1: trying to think of, like, you know what I mean,
- 58:50Speaker 1: that's it clearly isn't. The word doesn't mean the same thing.
- 58:53Speaker 1: But I'm just trying to think of something that's sort
- 58:55Speaker 1: of a bit of a badass vibe. But yeah, all right,
- 59:01Speaker 1: I appreciate you, Sarah. I'm giving me all this info.
- 59:04Speaker 1: It's very helpful, so thank you for coming to these. Also,
- 59:09Speaker 1: I can't remember I think I mentioned this in the
- 59:11Speaker 1: last episode, but just in case, starting in January, I
- 59:19Speaker 1: am going to be or is it well, I think
- 59:24Speaker 1: the last couple of episodes I record before my break
- 59:29Speaker 1: at Christmas are the first two weeks of December, so
- 59:31Speaker 1: technically it'll start then. I'm going to be moving up
- 59:34Speaker 1: the recording times for my spoil mees, so I will
- 59:39Speaker 1: no longer be starting at four pm Central Time. I
- 59:41Speaker 1: will be starting at two thirty pm. Because Florian is
- 59:47Speaker 1: the one who commissions the most episodes, but his time
- 59:50Speaker 1: zone it makes it really hard for him to come
- 59:53Speaker 1: if they're not in the very first lot of the day.
- 59:56Speaker 1: And I also am getting to a point where I
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: would like to end earlier in the day, so I
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: asked him about whether this would be easier and he
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: said yes, So I am moving things up starting the
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: first week of December. I have to wait three months
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: before I can make big changes in my schedule like
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: that because of the way the website I use for
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: booking works, So I just want to give you all
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: heads up on that it'll be earlier. So maybe it's
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: a seraphim has started coming. For a while, it was
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: only Florian and it's so strange because, like, I had
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: a lot a larger crowd for Spoil for Spoiltes for
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: one piece for a minute, and then everybody sort of vanished,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: And I think part of that is because I had
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: to change up the session I was using when crowdcast
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: updated their whole to version two, and I had to
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: make a new event, and it seems like doing that
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: really like made it like difficult for some people. So
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I'm hoping maybe changing up the time slots will make
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: things easier and I'll be able to see some of
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: y'all again, because there's some faces I haven't seen around
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: in a while, and I miss y'all. I really do Gabriella,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: where are you at girl?
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Brendadette? I see you in the discord, but not here often.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: So yeah, Sarah, I'm the saying yeah. It took me
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: a while to get things sorted after the update exactly,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: so yeah, I really do miss you guys, and I
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: hope that we'all are able to make it back at
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: some point. Okay, I'm gonna rap. Thank you again, everybody,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: and until next time to the Loo.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Motherfuckers.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: That was an Unspoiled Network podcast.
