Speaker 1: The Season with Peter Schreeger is a production of the
• 0:09
Speaker 1: NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio. What's Up, Everybody? This is
• 0:23
Speaker 1: Peter Schreger. Earlier in the week I recorded with Mike Garrafolo.
• 0:28
Speaker 1: It's a long, meaty, emptier notebook podcast. Really proud of it.
• 0:31
Speaker 1: I think we hit all the key points and we
• 0:35
Speaker 1: recapped the important Ian Rappaport Jordan Schultz altercation which mike'
• 0:39
Speaker 1: saw first hand. But I also was at the combine
• 0:42
Speaker 1: and had some really good interviews, so you figure we
• 0:44
Speaker 1: put them on the podcast feed. You can listen to
• 0:45
Speaker 1: them from the key personnel and key decision makers themselves.
• 0:49
  Speaker 2: So with no.
• 0:50
Speaker 3: Further ado, here is interviews with the GM of the
• 0:54
Speaker 3: number one overall pick right now, that is Titans GM
• 0:58
Speaker 3: Mike Borganzi, in an interview with the head coach of
• 1:01
Speaker 3: the number two overall pick, mister Kevin Stefanski, the Cleveland Browns.
• 1:05
Speaker 3: We'll put them back to back.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: Here's Borganzi and here is the fan ski enjoy excited
• 1:10
Speaker 1: here to have the first year new GM of the
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans after sixteen years with the Kansas City Chiefs.
• 1:17
Speaker 1: Mike Borganzi is now the general manager of the Tennessee
• 1:19
Speaker 1: Titans and just happened to have the first overall pick.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: Has this week been an absolute whirlwind? Or are we
• 1:25
Speaker 1: good and we're settled and we're ready to just get
• 1:27
Speaker 1: after this offseason. We're good.
• 1:29
Speaker 4: The whole month has been a little bit of a WorldWind,
• 1:31
Speaker 4: just getting settled in. Just meet with the staff here
• 1:34
Speaker 4: over the last month and meetings. So when you show
• 1:38
Speaker 4: up here, is this feels normal now that we're here,
• 1:41
Speaker 4: But it's just really creating that synergy with the staff
• 1:44
Speaker 4: through the meetings and now this is just another really
• 1:47
Speaker 4: touch point for us.
• 1:48
Speaker 1: First overall pick. We haven't seen um Duel Carter, we
• 1:51
Speaker 1: did not see gent, we are not seeing cam Ward
• 1:54
Speaker 1: or Shador throw, and Travis Hunter didn't work out of
• 1:57
Speaker 1: the defensive backs first overall pick. So much weighing on
• 2:00
Speaker 1: you guys holding the keys. Have you at least started
• 2:03
Speaker 1: having conversations where we're gonna be narrowing down position or
• 2:06
Speaker 1: maybe even player. At this point in the process, it's
• 2:08
Speaker 1: still Lily Peter, but it's a process.
• 2:11
Speaker 4: So we have this one touch point here. There'll be
• 2:14
Speaker 4: protas that we go to private workouts, thirty day visits,
• 2:17
Speaker 4: so we're gonna take the entire process. This is an
• 2:20
Speaker 4: important pick here, number one pick in the draft, so
• 2:22
Speaker 4: we're not taking that lightly. So you know, this is
• 2:25
Speaker 4: this is part of the process here, kind of like
• 2:28
Speaker 4: phase one for us here in.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: The quarterback position. We'll see Obviously we can go free agency,
• 2:32
Speaker 1: we can go trade. Those conversations I'm sure are being
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: had as well.
• 2:36
Speaker 4: We've had those discussions, but once again, we need to
• 2:39
Speaker 4: gather more information here over the next month, so we'll
• 2:42
Speaker 4: get to sit down. It's the first time really we've
• 2:43
Speaker 4: got to sit down some of these guys that we
• 2:45
Speaker 4: haven't seen before. So you know, it was good to
• 2:47
Speaker 4: get them in an enview process here this week, even
• 2:50
Speaker 4: though some of them didn't work out, but we'll have
• 2:53
Speaker 4: time to visit with them here over the next month.
• 2:54
Speaker 1: How many rings with the Chiefs?
• 2:56
  Speaker 4: Three?
• 2:57
Speaker 1: Pretty good, okay, guys, Mike Burgonzi, GM of the Titans,
• 3:00
Speaker 1: Thanks so much, Mike. Kevin Sefanski, coach of the Browns.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: We do know you guys have the second overall pick.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: We also know the quarterbacks are about to warm up.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: You've been to quite a few of these What are
• 3:09
Speaker 1: you looking for in a combine workout when potentially quarterback
• 3:13
Speaker 1: is the position of need. At number two, I think.
• 3:14
Speaker 2: You're looking at all these guys how the ball comes
• 3:16
Speaker 2: out of their hand. The nice part is that you
• 3:18
Speaker 2: get to compare apples to apples. Everybody throws one after
• 3:21
Speaker 2: the other. These receivers run one after the other, so
• 3:23
Speaker 2: you see how they come off the ball. So it's
• 3:25
Speaker 2: great to have them all in the field at the
• 3:26
  Speaker 2: same time.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: Number two overall pick, of course, Well, you met with
• 3:29
Speaker 1: all these guys as a as a whole, this quarterback
• 3:32
Speaker 1: class and the guys you got to meet with. What's
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: your impressions?
• 3:34
Speaker 2: Very very impressive really the meetings, just their understanding of
• 3:38
Speaker 2: the game, their passion for the game you put on
• 3:41
Speaker 2: the tape. I think the tape's evident that there's some
• 3:42
Speaker 2: great players. So it's an exciting time to be down here,
• 3:45
Speaker 2: to get up close and personal and see these guys.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: Absolutely, as we wrap a message for Browns fans watching,
• 3:50
Speaker 1: they're obviously looking seeing their head coach camera. What is
• 3:52
Speaker 1: your message for them as we head towards the twenty
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: twenty five offseason.
• 3:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, we're working hard. The good news is that second
• 3:59
Speaker 2: overall pick, there's gonna be a really good football player
• 4:01
Speaker 2: there and then throughout this draft. So we're going to
• 4:02
Speaker 2: add to our football team. Andrew Berry and crew are
• 4:05
Speaker 2: working very hard. We're going to do the same to
• 4:07
Speaker 2: make sure that we're having some quality players this roster.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: All right, Kevin Stefanski, coach of the Browns, thanks for
• 4:11
Speaker 1: coming down here on the field.
• 4:13
Speaker 4: We're going to be going right back up to.
