- 0:53only sound it freaking out. Say roll here, Jay Quelin.
- 0:57Where's Jay Quelin at? No Jay Quelin here.
- 0:59Do you mean Jacqueline? Let's sound it out.
- 1:02My dog wants your Christmas. Out, out.
- 1:06Out. Oh, guy.
- 1:07Right, guys? Sound it out.
- 1:09Phonic shamanics. Errol's got it.
- 1:12Yeah, Errol tonight. You may think we're running out
- 1:15of difficult names for you to pronounce, but Oh no, that is
- 1:18not the case. We are moving on to a sport that
- 1:22just began its season the other day in the WNBA.
- 1:27Here is your first name sounded out.
- 1:34Anastasia Olari Kosu. Speedy.
- 1:41I think that's pretty good. I think I would.
- 1:43Give that to him. All right, I would give.
- 1:46That to him kiss my ass fish ball bag.
- 1:57All right, I would have said Anastasia O Larry Hassu.
- 2:02Patrick. Hassu.
- 2:03I think O Larry, O Larry was close enough.
- 2:06Yeah, butt plug, I think. Yum Yum I think.
- 2:09That one, I would say 90% mastery level on that first
- 2:14term. But again, can you get the
- 2:17majority of a Merrill? We're going to move on to the
- 2:21next player. Here she is.
- 2:27Sound it out. All right, Louisa, guys sell a
- 2:36soda. Hold on.
- 2:39Hold on. Gay sell Sodor.
- 2:44Gay sell Sodor. Speedy.
- 2:48Diesel sodor. Not that far off, decided to
- 2:55give you that one. I think she is German.
- 2:58That is German player in the league.
- 3:02Moving on 500, still pretty good.
- 3:04Can you stay there or get better?
- 3:08On our last one coming up and we are going to a all WNBA player
- 3:14Errol for our final one sounded out.
- 3:25A Reich. A goon Bow Wow bawale.
- 3:31A goon bawale. Your second guess on the last
- 3:35name was was right Ogumbawale. It's Arique.
- 3:39Enrique Ogumbawale. Almost Errol.
- 3:44But again, if this was baseball 333 in the All Star Game every
- 3:48single time, give yourself a round of applause.
- 3:50I'm not, I'm not applausing that.
- 3:53That's ridiculous. Sound it out.
- 3:55If I even got close to it, I should get it or even get a half
- 3:58a point. That's fair.
- 4:00I mean half these people will probably get that wrong too,
- 4:03including you if you didn't actually know and pick the
- 4:06names. So that's bull crap as far as
- 4:09I'm concerned. I think it's ball bag.
- 4:12It's about about the part of the ball bag.
- 4:14My name was Enrique though. Yeah, I'm sure you did.
- 4:17Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, that was sounded out and boy, oh
- 4:22boy, I was sick to my stomach. And now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 4:26I, I have to get into this subject because there is
- 4:28somebody a part of our show that absolutely can't stand this guy.
- 4:33NFL Networks Tom Pelisoro reports that the 49ers have
- 4:38signed the one and only Brock Purdy to a five year, $265
- 4:45million contract. The deal will have 181,000,000
- 4:50guaranteed and a full non trade clause.
- 4:54The The deal also features 176,000,000 injury clause that
- 4:59can be given instantly or spread out overtime to Purdy if he gets
- 5:05hurt. The total total money in the
- 5:08contract is fifth among quarterback contracts, while the
- 5:11average annual value is 7th. Adam Schefter reports that the
- 5:1649ers also extended All Pro linebacker Fred Warner to a
- 5:20three-year, $63 million contract, making him the highest
- 5:23paid linebacker in the NFL. The 49ers also made George
- 5:27Kittle the highest paid tight end a few weeks ago with a four
- 5:32year, $76 million contract. In 40 games with the 49ers,
- 5:38Purdy has 9518 passing yards, a 67.5% completion percentage, 64
- 5:47touchdowns, and 104.9 passing rating, all top ten in the NFL
- 5:54in that span. First of all, I absolutely
- 5:58believe that Brock Purdy deserves his contract.
- 6:00I don't know anybody and as far as I'm concerned, I know this
- 6:04man right over here can't stand the contract, but I love the
- 6:08contract because he deserves it. He's still valued as a high
- 6:13profile quarterback. This guy puts up the numbers.
- 6:16If you compare his numbers to the top quarterbacks in the NFL,
- 6:19like it says right there, his statistics would tell you he's a
- 6:22top ten quarterback. Even in some layman's terms
- 6:26terms, he would be a top seven quarterback in the NFL.
- 6:30He's been fantastic for a team that's been fighting injuries
- 6:34for the last couple of years. He lost honestly, back-to-back
- 6:38years. His top wide receivers, he has
- 6:40not been 100% at any point in the last two years at the
- 6:45running back position. I mean, this guy's been fighting
- 6:48through it and everybody keeps giving Kyle Shanahan all the
- 6:50credit in the world. Kyle Shanahan needs to learn how
- 6:53to run the ball in the big parts of the game, not leave it up to
- 6:56his quarterbacks. Because if anybody knows about
- 6:59winning championships, it's all about running the ball and
- 7:01playing defense. But but what I've seen Brock
- 7:03Purdy do over the last couple years is sensational.
- 7:06This guy was a seventh round draft pick and and what he
- 7:10deserves should be not only the money, but very well respected
- 7:15around the league for what he's been doing in the NFL as a
- 7:19seventh round draft pick. When we think of late round
- 7:22draft picks, the only thing that pops into my head is Tom Brady.
- 7:26Now he's not going to win 7 championships like Tom Brady,
- 7:30but if this man wins 1 championship and he's a seventh
- 7:34round draft pick, as far as I'm concerned, this guy could go
- 7:38down as one of the more underrated quarterbacks of all
- 7:41time. I just look at the league and
- 7:43the way these guys are making money.
- 7:44You can't hold that up for a quarterback that's never won.
- 7:49You have to give this kid a lot of credit for what he has done
- 7:53in the league on a very good defensive team.
- 7:55There's no question with Fred Warner and George Kittle.
- 7:57George Kittle does not deserve an extension for years, $76
- 8:01million. He's a tight end.
- 8:03He's over the age of 30. This kid is still under the age
- 8:07of 30. He's putting up ridiculous
- 8:09numbers and he deserves a little bit more credit than the talent
- 8:13he has around him because that talent doesn't stay healthy.
- 8:16Go look at his top offensive players.
- 8:19Go look at his offensive lineman.
- 8:21When you look at Williams, who's been one of the best offensive
- 8:23tackles, has this man stayed healthy, healthy all season long
- 8:27in the last couple of years? No, but he got an extension.
- 8:30Why aren't you going to pay the quarterback that's standing in
- 8:32the pocket getting beaten up and making all the throws?
- 8:35I disagree with you and I know what Owen's going to say.
- 8:38He he's overrated. It's all about the the the
- 8:41system and Kyle Shanahan. Let me ask you a question.
- 8:44If it's all about the system and it's all about Kyle Shanahan,
- 8:47why haven't they won anything? Why haven't they want anything?
- 8:51So you you have to give this kid some credit because he's putting
- 8:55up the numbers and he's doing what he's doing.
- 8:57When you look at all the other quarterbacks that we've seen, go
- 9:00look at the quarterbacks that are making more money than he
- 9:03is. There's a guy named Trevor
- 9:04Lawrence over there with the Jaguars that is making
- 9:0755,000,000. How many games did he play last
- 9:09year? How many games all right, how
- 9:12many games has he played in the last three years in the NFL?
- 9:16And this guy can't stay healthy and there's no excuses when this
- 9:19guy was the number one pick in the draft.
- 9:23This guy was the final pick in his draft and he was a seventh
- 9:27round pick and he has better numbers than half the
- 9:30quarterback, actually the majority of the quarterbacks in
- 9:33the NFL. So I I think this is great for
- 9:36football. You see, he's very well deserved
- 9:39and and you go look at Jalen Hurts.
- 9:41Jalen Hurts got this money. You're going to tell me right
- 9:43now Jalen Hurts is that much better than he is?
- 9:46He's not. If you if you would ask me right
- 9:48now, who would I rather as my quarterback as good as Jalen
- 9:52Hurts is and I love Jalen Hurts. I'm taking Brock party and
- 9:55that's just the fact here. I look at the numbers and the
- 9:58numbers don't lie and Jalen Hurts does not throw like this
- 10:00guy. He's not as accurate as this guy
- 10:02and this guy just a little bit more credit at his size and his
- 10:06ability and he's not very mobile.
- 10:08He is the he has a pocket present quarterback, which
- 10:11everybody says doesn't work in the NFL anymore.
- 10:14Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's a lie because this guy is
- 10:18a pocket quarterback and he's making every throw just like
- 10:20Jared Goff. Yeah, he's not going to work
- 10:22that kind of quarterback. The mobile quarterback might not
- 10:24work in Kyle Shanahan's system because he never had it.
- 10:27Since he's gotten there, they've rotated around these mediocre
- 10:29guys. They finally bring in Jimmy G,
- 10:31and Purdy's the one that ends up having the highest upside with
- 10:33that because they want the motion with the running backs
- 10:35and the receivers a lot more. And I think that's what they're
- 10:37prioritizing here. I know they traded Debo Samuel,
- 10:40but they think they have a replacement there, Ricky
- 10:42Pearsall. So you want a quick throw type
- 10:44guy for that type of offense. Now, again, the when I when I
- 10:47saw the money, the money definitely was in the range of a
- 10:51lot of these quarterbacks are getting.
- 10:52I was skeptical when Jordan Love got paid last year as quickly as
- 10:55he did and maybe this has the same kind of skepticism.
- 10:57All right, it's only a couple years that he's done it that the
- 10:59injury clause I think really helps that kind of thing and and
- 11:01proves one thing. I think with the 49ers, they're
- 11:03committed to a system and they'll know when to replace
- 11:05guys if they have the replacements there.
- 11:07But you're talking about the defense of guys they lost in the
- 11:09offseason with Green Law, Javon Hargrave, they have guys to
- 11:12replace those guys. They draft another defensive
- 11:14tackle this year in the second round.
- 11:15Hofunga I'm not as sure about. But again, they paid Fred
- 11:18Warner. He's the best coverage
- 11:19linebacker probably we've ever seen in terms of man coverage
- 11:21perspective. Now, the offensive line does
- 11:23concern me, like you brought up barrel like Trent Williams and
- 11:25it's like, do you have any other guys to help out or not?
- 11:27Mobile quarterback is another question.
- 11:29And Kittle definitely seemed a little long.
- 11:31Where do you go? As for quarterback, if you don't
- 11:33pay this guy, where do you go? That's the other.
- 11:36You would have had to either draft one or you would have had
- 11:39to make a trade in the draft if they thought.
- 11:40There's nothing out there. It's ridiculous.
- 11:43The best quarterback available this offseason was Justin
- 11:46Fields. Where did he go?
- 11:48He went to The Jets. So there there's nothing out
- 11:51there. If Brock Birdie became open for,
- 11:54you know, contracts all over the league, he would have gotten
- 11:57more than this. He would have gotten more than
- 12:00this because he would have been by far the best quarterback
- 12:03available in that class. So for anybody to complain about
- 12:07this, this contract, and I know there's 49er fans like this one
- 12:10who's going to complain and bitch and moan that I'm not
- 12:13paying this guy that kind of money, you have to give him a
- 12:17little bit more credit than he deserves.
- 12:19Joe Montana was a small guy. Remember him?
- 12:21He wasn't a big strong quarterback.
- 12:23He wasn't that type of quarterback.
- 12:25He came from Notre Dame, who was pretty much a 5 fifth string
- 12:28quarterback and finally got a chance to make a run with Notre
- 12:32Dame at the tail end of his career in college.
- 12:33Then he gets called up. He's still a backup quarterback.
- 12:36And then he had to earn his his his place as the starting
- 12:40quarterback in the league and then became one of the greatest
- 12:42dynamic quarterbacks of all time.
- 12:44He is not Joe Montana because Joe Montana was mobile, mobile
- 12:48too. But what this guy does, you have
- 12:51to give a little bit more credit for him is this guy's been
- 12:54taking beatings for years. Look at the quarterback that was
- 12:58drafted. They traded up, they traded all
- 13:00these picks for, he's not even going to be in the NFL any year.
- 13:03This guy's got a chance to be in the NFL for the next 10 to 15
- 13:06years if he could stay healthy and stay on his feet.
- 13:09I just, I, I just disagree. He is not.
- 13:11And I, and if you think this to be true, Speedy, you're just as
- 13:15big an idiot as anybody out there that believe it.
- 13:17He's not as as far as I'm concerned, he's not a
- 13:21quarterback that is just a system quarterback.
- 13:24He has a quality quarterback that can make every single
- 13:28throw. You know what he reminds me of?
- 13:30He reminds me of Tony Romo. That's who he reminds me of.
- 13:33I, I think he's not as big as Tony Romo.
- 13:35He's smart and he could step into the pocket, make every
- 13:38single throw accurately. If he could actually stay in the
- 13:41pocket and and is protected. He's going to be, he's going to
- 13:44win a championship. If it's not what San Francisco,
- 13:47it'll be with somebody else, just like I believe with Dak
- 13:49Prescott. I just think it's a shame that
- 13:51nobody thinks he's worth the money that they gave him.
- 13:53Quickly before you go, and I just want to say too, like I
- 13:54think that you were talking about like what other
- 13:56quarterbacks would have been available to like Justin Fields,
- 13:58he signs with The Jets like there's no questions with his
- 14:00accuracy in the past too. I don't think Kyle Shanahan
- 14:03wants that type of quarterback. Obviously you're not going to go
- 14:04for Aaron Rodgers with all the drama there as much as Rodgers
- 14:06wants to play in San Francisco, Like he they just shed a lot of
- 14:09guys with drama too. So there weren't really other
- 14:11options there. So I mean, shedding the cap was
- 14:13not the I don't think it was the most ideal way they did it, but
- 14:15you knew this was coming at this point.
- 14:17All right, Owen, I got it. Owen, hold on.
- 14:19I got my popcorn from Colby Ridge ready.
- 14:21Give him the business. Waiting for this.
- 14:24Give him the business shout out Whitey.
- 14:25Thanks buddy. First of all, let's just say
- 14:29Congrats to Brock Purdy because he got a contract, he got signed
- 14:33five year deal. He really screwed over the
- 14:3549ers. I don't think he's going to be
- 14:39an elite quarterback. Right now.
- 14:41There's 10 quarterbacks above him that should be paid higher
- 14:43than him. And that's not even without even
- 14:45thinking, that's just 10 quarterbacks better than him.
- 14:48He's going to be like Tua. He's going to be injured every
- 14:50year. He got injured last year, he got
- 14:52injured the year before that, and he was injured the year
- 14:55before that. Couldn't even go to the Super
- 14:56Bowl because he tore his arm up. He's going to be injured every
- 15:00year. Last year if you watched him
- 15:01with a blow team where his team was hurt, yeah, but it's on the
- 15:05same level as KC or some guys that have gotten paid.
- 15:09The Bengals like those rosters that aren't as tight.
- 15:12He couldn't make all the throws. Arrow if it was windy, if it was
- 15:15rainy, if it was a snowstorm. You watch them go up against the
- 15:19best quarterbacks and look far less than those guys.
- 15:23If he goes up next to Burrow, he's going to look like less
- 15:26than Burrow. He goes up next to Patrick
- 15:29Mahomes. He doesn't even come close.
- 15:30He's played them four times and lost every one of the games.
- 15:34Like the guys that are getting paid are the guys with the big
- 15:37arms. They could stay healthy.
- 15:38The Josh Allen's of the world, the Joe Burrows.
- 15:41I mean, he has some injury questions, but his offensive
- 15:43line is trash. I just don't think paying this
- 15:46guy this much money when his team is significantly going to
- 15:50need an overhaul in the next couple years.
- 15:52With what you just said, Kittle might not stay healthy for his
- 15:54contract. They got older guys.
- 15:57They're going to get rid of IU I'm sure by the trade deadline
- 15:59this year because I don't think him and Kyle Shanahan mesh.
- 16:03So I think they're going to be in an overhaul and they're going
- 16:05to have to pay their quarterback and not be able to get him, the
- 16:08offensive lineman, the receiver, help the guys that are going to
- 16:11make him look successful. And with a not stacked roster
- 16:15this year with the first time he has out of stack roster with
- 16:18Debo, with Kittle healthy, with Trent Williams healthy, he
- 16:22looked like a scrub. He looked like an average
- 16:24quarterback. I mean, look at the numbers last
- 16:27year. I guarantee that he's got like
- 16:2960% of the throwing percentage. He was probably bottom half in
- 16:33QBR. He didn't play well last year,
- 16:36not to mention he got hurt at the end of the season again.
- 16:40Kyle Shan, hold on one second. Kyle Shanahan's the one That
- 16:43Kyle Shanahan's the one that's drafting all these players,
- 16:46right? He's a part of that, right?
- 16:47Why isn't he giving them weapons?
- 16:49No, he's paying these guys. He's overpaying George Kittle,
- 16:53who's over the age that you're supposed to pay a a tight end.
- 16:58Oh, stop with this. He was the best tight end in
- 17:01football. That's because Brock Purdy could
- 17:03only throw to him because nobody was 100% healthy.
- 17:06Give me a break. You're going to blame and you're
- 17:07going to sit here and you're going to tell me that Brock
- 17:09Purdy doesn't deserve the credit that he deserves if Kyle
- 17:12Shanahan would have been fired already if it wasn't for Brock
- 17:15Purdy. OK, you're going to sit here and
- 17:17say, well, Brock Purdy didn't make this throw and Brock Purdy
- 17:20didn't make that throw. Hey, how about if the offensive
- 17:22line knows how to protect them and put him in a good position
- 17:24to do that, maybe he would make those throws.
- 17:27And how about George wide receivers who you overpaid?
- 17:30Thank you, Kyle Shanahan, Thank you, John Lynch.
- 17:32And then all of a sudden you're going to take shots at him
- 17:34because he lost his number one offensive option in his running
- 17:38back, Christian McCaffrey. If you have your run running
- 17:40back and it opens up the field for the wide receivers, it gives
- 17:43him more options to make the throws that he needs to make to
- 17:46the Pier Souls or any of the other guys available.
- 17:49You're going to sit here and blame and blame the quarterback
- 17:52because of the injuries that his coach put their team through.
- 17:57So. I'm saying I'm saying Patrick
- 17:59Mahomes does it without a running back, Pacheco.
- 18:03Patrick Mahomes has Andy Reid. He's the best offensive mind
- 18:11stop with Joe Burrow because they're not even in the same
- 18:13conversation you're mentioning. I first of all, you're you just
- 18:18for you're going to compare Brock birdie to Sam Donald.
- 18:21Are you kidding me? Sam Donald had one Goodyear
- 18:24Brock pretty since he's come into the league has been
- 18:26successful. He's he's thrown almost 10,000
- 18:29yards in three years. Stop.
- 18:33You're you hate this guy so much, and I don't.
- 18:37Yes, you do. You hate him.
- 18:39You hate him, you hate him. Kyle Shanahan sucks.
- 18:41He's the most overrated coach in the NFL, and he's never going to
- 18:45win. He's never going to win.
- 18:47And it has nothing to do with Black Birdie.
- 18:49He's never Yeah, he's not going to win with them because when he
- 18:51gets traded or they decide to part ways with him, he'll go
- 18:54somewhere else and win because he is definitely reliable and a
- 18:57lot more reliable than you think he is.
- 18:59You sit here and he's a he's heard of you.
- 19:03The offensive line can't stay healthy.
- 19:05That's why you paid Trent Williams, who's 38 years old and
- 19:08is better off being somebody's grandfather.
- 19:10Give me a break. You're overpaying guys that
- 19:13don't deserve the money. Go out there and draft the right
- 19:16players, John. Go out there and draft the right
- 19:19guys, Kyle. They suck.
- 19:21They're overrated. Coaches and GM's out there, and
- 19:24those two are overrated. You'll get to brag about.
- 19:27Him never one because the never one.
- 19:29The NFL gave him a pillow cake schedule, so you'll get to bet
- 19:32drag about Brock Purdy. And then Year 2, Year three-year
- 19:364, when we're looking like the Giants out there.
- 19:38How? Much Do you want to make another
- 19:39bet? You want to make another bet for
- 19:41you to lose? You want to make another bet?
- 19:43Let's make another bet. What kind of bet you want to
- 19:45make? Because I I'm willing.
- 19:47I'm willing to bet. You're going to.
- 19:50Oh, now you think that. Why?
- 19:50You think they're going to be good?
- 19:52Brock Purdy's a quarterback. Stop it, dude.
- 19:54They got the easiest. That has nothing to do it.
- 19:56You have to beat whoever's on your schedule.
- 19:58Yes or no? Yes or no?
- 20:01This is the NFL. You don't know who's going to be
- 20:03good. You don't know who's going to be
- 20:05good and who's going to be bad. Stop this, Owen.
- 20:07You're going to sit here and say, oh, because their
- 20:09schedule's easy. You got to make the throws.
- 20:11You got to show up every day. You got to do what you do as a
- 20:14quarterback. Stop sitting here and not giving
- 20:15the kid credit. He deserves every penny he's
- 20:18getting. If all these other quarterbacks
- 20:20are making money and they don't deserve it, like Lawrence, who
- 20:23does not deserve the 55,000,000, Brock Purdy absolutely deserves
- 20:27the $53 million. What?
- 20:30I don't think Lawrence. I don't think Lawrence deserves
- 20:31that either. Nobody deserves that money.
- 20:34Nobody deserves that money. CJ Stroud, He's coming up.
- 20:37Do you think CJ Stroud deserves as much as Brock party?
- 20:41Yes, he does. I guarantee he won't take.
- 20:43He won't take. Really.
- 20:44You want to bet on that? How much you want to bet on
- 20:46that? Let's bet.
- 20:49I'll bet on that. You're going to tell me CJ
- 20:51Stroud, when his contract comes up, he's not going to take 5560
- 20:54million. You're nuts if you don't think
- 20:56he is. I'm not going to sit back.
- 20:57This isn't the Tom Brady era, boy, This isn't like that
- 21:01anymore. This is not when Tom Brady's
- 21:03looking to win championships. These guys are all about feeding
- 21:06their families, families, families, families.
- 21:09It's not about endorsing and winning championships.
- 21:12The only people that are like that are the guys that actually
- 21:15are team players. And I'm, I'm sorry, just so you
- 21:18know, nobody in the NFL today except maybe and I won't even
- 21:23say Patrick Mahomes because he's not the, the only player that
- 21:26really stands out to me that is actually sitting there and
- 21:29saying that'll probably take less money is I, I, I don't even
- 21:33think there is anybody. There is nobody.
- 21:35There really is nobody that's sitting here.
- 21:38Justin Fields taking, you know, $18,000,000 to play for The
- 21:42Jets. But we don't know what Justin
- 21:44Fields is. If you're a good quarterback and
- 21:46you're putting up numbers like these guys, you got to take
- 21:48whatever is given to you. And he deserves 53,000,000.
- 21:51If you compare his numbers to the top five, six quarterbacks
- 21:55in the league, statistically, it would tell you this guy is right
- 21:59there with them. And yes, Dak Prescott's there
- 22:01too. For all you Cowboy idiots that
- 22:04don't know anything about football, shut and zipper your
- 22:07mouths. I don't want to hear any more
- 22:09about Dak Prescott. This man deserves the credit
- 22:11that he's gone through and he's put up the numbers.
- 22:14There's as much watches Brock Purdy, I stick up for these
- 22:16guys. They deserve a little bit more
- 22:18credit than you guys give them. I'm sorry.
- 22:22And you're playing in San Francisco.
- 22:23A-Team, by the way, has won since the 90s.
- 22:28They've been there twice. And thank you to Kyle Shanahan.
- 22:31Because he stopped running the ball is the reason why they
- 22:33never won. So stop it.
- 22:36Stop with this guy. Kyle Shanahan, if this team
- 22:38doesn't make the playoffs this year, should be fired.
- 22:41He doesn't belong there. He should have been fired last
- 22:44year. It's a joke of an organization
- 22:47that he's still there. I don't want to hear from Fish.
- 22:49Oh, because he's a coach? You saying this?
- 22:51I don't care. It's all about winning, right?
- 22:53It's all. How long has Shanahan been
- 22:55there, Speedy? Since 2017.
- 22:56So how long is that? Seven years, eight years, eight
- 23:00years. And the guys never won a
- 23:01championship. You know what that spells?
- 23:03That spells Loser, loser. That's what he is.
- 23:08He'll always be that because he he does the one thing that he
- 23:12does so well and he stops doing in the important parts of the
- 23:15game and that's running the goddamn ball.
- 23:16The guy's a loser. And I, I think anybody and by
- 23:19the way, Ryan Hickey, if you're listening to the show, and I'm
- 23:22sure you listen to it sometimes, you're a moron.
- 23:24You're a moron. CBS Sports should understand
- 23:28when somebody goes out there and speaks about a player and speaks
- 23:31about what this coach is. He says Kyle Shannon is the best
- 23:35coach in the NFL. Here's what I'm going to tell to
- 23:37Ryan Hickey. If he's such a great coach as
- 23:40you say he is, why is it that this man has never, never, never
- 23:46won a championship as an assistant, offensive coordinator
- 23:51or even a head coach? You know why?
- 23:52And he's lost three of them as an offensive coordinator and as
- 23:55a coach, Two of them as a coach. He's never won because the guy
- 23:59is not a winner. He's not his father and he never
- 24:02will be. Do you know what his record is?
- 24:05Career. Doesn't matter at regular
- 24:07seasons. Means nothing, needs nothing.
- 24:09No, it's no, you would be might be validated by this answer.
- 24:15He's 70 and 62, eight games over 500, slightly above average.
- 24:21And I think what the reality is about him and Errol, I'm not
- 24:25willing to go as far as you are in at least in this situation,
- 24:29but he's just an above average coach as far as calling the game
- 24:34and, you know, competing as far as the the mind.
- 24:37He may be the greatest architect of offense that we have
- 24:42currently in the league. I think that can be true as
- 24:45well. The guy who invented the
- 24:47triangle isn't the guy that want that.
- 24:49You know, it wasn't Phil Jackson ran off with that idea, right?
- 24:54Just because he came up with a lot of these offensive concepts
- 24:57in the way that we run, you know, certain plays these days
- 25:01and the language that is used doesn't mean that he was the
- 25:03best. And I think both those things
- 25:06can be true. Is he a bad coach?
- 25:07Is he like Bambi, Sala? You know what I mean?
- 25:10He's not that. He's a lot better than that.
- 25:13Now that they're working together again, I think it's a
- 25:15good guy to bring on. Reunite him.
- 25:18It's not going to matter. They're good coaches.
- 25:21I think they're with the and then look and Purdy's a good
- 25:24quarterback. He's not a bad quarterback.
- 25:26He's not Daniel Jones getting 40 million.
- 25:29He's a guy that's been to the Super Bowl, a couple been the
- 25:32Super Bowl and was a big part of that, that whole run and it's
- 25:36been good every year. When he's healthy, is he going
- 25:39to stay healthy? That's the question.
- 25:40Hold on. So what you're saying, so you're
- 25:42saying he's a good quarterback, OK, in 40 games, of course,
- 25:46right there in your numbers is 9518 passing yards, a 6567.5
- 25:53completion percentage, 64 touchdowns and 104.9 passing
- 25:59rating. I'm going to tell you this right
- 26:00now. If you look at any quarterback
- 26:03right now in the NFL, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, everyone at
- 26:07Joe Burrell, all the top ones, you go look at their last 40
- 26:10games, I guarantee you their numbers are very similar to this
- 26:14guy. So to say that he's a good
- 26:16quarterback, it's ridiculous. He's a great quarterback, a
- 26:20great. Hesitant to do that just because
- 26:23of the physical limitations compared to those guys you just.
- 26:27Met Joe Montana, had a physical Yeah, well.
- 26:29He's not going to be able to stay in the pocket like Josh
- 26:32Allen and make plays happen later in the in the play.
- 26:34He's just not that guy. I disagree.
- 26:38Drew Brees is what his ceiling is, isn't it?
- 26:41When Tom Brady came into the league, what did they say about
- 26:43him? What did they say about him
- 26:45athletically? It doesn't.
- 26:48Again, you want me to go back? Joe Montana wasn't a tall
- 26:51quarterback. Joe Montana was small.
- 26:53Everybody said when he came into the league, the guy is not fit
- 26:57to play in the NFL. The quarterback position is is
- 27:00built for bigger quarterbacks to stand in the pocket and pocket
- 27:03present quarterback. What made Joe Montana special is
- 27:06his brain, his his unique smart value of what he sees on a
- 27:11football field. And that's the that goes for the
- 27:13same with Tom Brady and all the greats of all time.
- 27:15To sit here and say, well, he's not as big or he doesn't have an
- 27:19arm like Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes, to say that he is not
- 27:22not capable of being amongst those guys is ridiculous.
- 27:27Well, that's not what I said. Hold on, you said he's good.
- 27:30Let's just compare. He's great.
- 27:31Let's just compare. Jimmy Garoppolo in 2019 with
- 27:36Kyle Shanahan was 200 yards less in one last game and two
- 27:42interceptions more than Brock Purdy.
- 27:45So you're saying Jimmy Garoppolo is great, or you should give
- 27:49Kyle Shanahan some credit and say this is what he does with
- 27:52all accurate quarterbacks and he does it?
- 27:55I'm going to. There's similar stuff.
- 27:57I'm going to give. You 4000 yards.
- 28:00Jimmy Garoppolo was a SEC. Jimmy Garoppolo was a second
- 28:04round draft pick. A second round draft pick.
- 28:07That's not what we're talking. Yes, we are.
- 28:10We're talking about the value. You're talking about a value.
- 28:13And don't tell me you're going to tell me Jimmy Garoppolo in 40
- 28:16games has the numbers like this guy.
- 28:18Go, go, go grab his numbers. Go grab his numbers.
- 28:20They're not even close. They're not even close.
- 28:22They're not even close. Stop, stop.
- 28:25Jimmy and Jimmy's made more money than him until now.
- 28:29I think there's a question you guys just have to answer.
- 28:31Just let's just let's take a step back 2. 1019 season with
- 28:3449ers is comparable to what Brock Purdy's best season in
- 28:382023 was as a 49er. So that's what Kyle Shanahan
- 28:43does and that's what he did with Debo.
- 28:45He did it with all those guys. He's going to lose.
- 28:48George Kittle, all those same same players, and Jimmy and
- 28:51Jimmy G didn't have Christian McCaffrey to catch 1000 yards on
- 28:54the backfield losing. So maybe they're losers.
- 28:57Maybe maybe Kyle Shanahan knows how to use quarterbacks.
- 29:01Just maybe. He's great.
- 29:02He's great and he knows how to lose.
- 29:04Too I. Knows how to lose too, I think.
- 29:06Maddie Ice. If with Brock Purdy, 53,000,000,
- 29:10you only give that money to the guy if you think he can win.
- 29:15And I was going to say Errol, I think you can win with Brock
- 29:18Purdy. I think he can't take any
- 29:20injuries and lose any arm strength whatsoever because he's
- 29:24just a little limited. He's just a little limited
- 29:27physically. And if he gets hurt, it'll go
- 29:30quick on him. His his skills.
- 29:32That's what I worry about. A guy like Josh Allen's going to
- 29:35be able to take a lot more bullets.
- 29:39Well, look, we'll see if he I mean.
- 29:40Fix your offensive line and I I'd argue that point.
- 29:44Fix your offensive line. That's that's what I would say,
- 29:47but has something to do with ownership.
- 29:48Have the arm strength. It doesn't.
- 29:50He doesn't have his. That's his.
- 29:52Arm strength stop with this arm strength.
- 29:55That's so crud to say. Oh he doesn't have the arm
- 29:58strength so he can't where? Doesn't last.
- 30:01There's the thing about arm strength, right?
- 30:02It doesn't last unless you're Joe.
- 30:04Flacco any He already had his what?
- 30:06His surgery on his UCL and he strained it at the end of the
- 30:09last year. So that's two injuries to the
- 30:11same throwing whatever. He will be, he will be amongst,
- 30:18we'll get off this, but I'm going to tell you this right
- 30:20now, he will be amongst the league's best in every single
- 30:23category this coming year. You could book it and sell it.
- 30:25Has nothing to do with Kyle Shanahan.
- 30:27Nothing. Nothing.
- 30:30That's all I'm going. To say nothing, nothing.
- 30:32OK. Nothing he hasn't.
- 30:33Talent is talent. Talent is talent, buddy.
- 30:36Talent. Dude, we've seen quarterbacks
- 30:38get drafted in the first round and they're not in the NFL more
- 30:41than a year. I know I could name a bunch of
- 30:43jet guys that were in the in the league for not more than two
- 30:46years and they're not even in the NFL.
- 30:48This, That's what it is. That's what it is, huh?
- 30:54I think it's culture, coaching. I think if you get in the right
- 30:56situation, you succeed. Do you think Tom Brady would
- 30:59been as successful as like, going to the Raiders as he was
- 31:04new? England, you're talking.
- 31:06You're talking about the greatest coaches of all time.
- 31:10I'm just Andy. I'm.
- 31:10Saying this, the situation you go into matters.
- 31:15That's what I'm saying. All right, I disagree.
- 31:18Congrats, Brock Brady. Yeah.
- 31:21All right, ladies and gentlemen, I love you.
- 31:24Oh, install. It doesn't take away how much I
- 31:26love you. I just think you're absolutely
- 31:27wrong on that. We call this dial it up.
- 31:30We interrupt this regularly scheduled hot mix to bring you
- 31:32important news. We got a big broadcast to do
- 31:35here. We're about to dial it all it
- 31:38up. All right, guys, welcome to Dial
- 31:42It Up. This is this kind of a Lightning
- 31:45round type of a segment where we get 5 stories that we have yet
- 31:49to see and we're going to start off with.
- 31:51I like anal. The Subway Series from the
- 31:54weekend. Well, first meeting of the 1st
- 31:56place Mets and Yankees. Yankees took two out of three in
- 32:00the Bronx First game. Yankees won six to two Friday.
- 32:02Mets came back. Beat the bullpen 3 to 2 on
- 32:05Saturday. Eight to two.
- 32:07Big win on Sunday for the Yankees behind big old Grand
- 32:10Slam by Cody Bellinger. Juan Soto, who was booed
- 32:13mercilessly all series, went one for 10 with like four walks or
- 32:18something like that. Aaron Judge struggled in the
- 32:22only loss, going over 5 and striking out versus Diaz to end
- 32:24the game and finish the series 2 for 11.
- 32:27But the rest of the boys got it done like I said, including
- 32:30Bellinger who had a slam and six RBI's in the last game.
- 32:36Wake it up, Errol, dial it up. It the fact is the Yankees and
- 32:42the Mets has no meaning in the regular season.
- 32:45I don't care who wins this series, what they put up, who's
- 32:48pitching, who's winning, how many home runs they hit.
- 32:52WFM went out there and said Aaron Judge is going to hit four
- 32:54home runs and have 12. RB is I don't care what those
- 32:57guys say. The fact is the Mets and the
- 32:59Yankees are on the top of their divisions right now.
- 33:02It's fun baseball. You want to see good baseball
- 33:05here in New York. It doesn't matter what and how
- 33:08they play against one another in the regular season are all means
- 33:11something when you play in the playoffs.
- 33:13If it was a Subway Series in the playoffs and the Yankees are
- 33:17winning the series 3 game or whatever, two games to one, I'm
- 33:21happy. The fact that the Yankees
- 33:23practically almost swept the Mets in the regular season means
- 33:26absolutely nothing. The Mets still have a better
- 33:28record than the Yankees as far as I'm concerned, and the
- 33:30Yankees have a lot more work to do.
- 33:32I love Max Freed, I watched him pitch the other day.
- 33:36This guy has been the most dominated pitcher since he's
- 33:39come to New York Yankees. We've said this many, many
- 33:42times. We've seen a lot of guys come to
- 33:44the Yankees and failed. This guy has stepped in Yankee
- 33:47Stadium and he's putting up the numbers that we expect a power
- 33:50left-handed pitcher to do it. It's amazing to watch and pitch.
- 33:54And by the way, Peterson is the Mets best pitcher on that
- 33:57roster. I don't want to hear Sanga.
- 33:59The Mets bought him. This guy was developed in the
- 34:02Mets farm system. He's special.
- 34:04And I got news for you guys. We're working on getting David
- 34:06Peterson on the show. So, and you could be on the show
- 34:10in the next couple of weeks. So I, I just had, I just was
- 34:13speaking to his agent today. So I, I'm very excited to if we
- 34:17can get David Peterson on the show.
- 34:19But I, I'm going to tell you this right now, this series
- 34:22meant nothing. And by the way, Yankee fans got
- 34:24to stop with Juan Soto. They got to stop this.
- 34:28He picked the Mets fine. He said his thing.
- 34:31He said his piece about the Yankees and he he says that the
- 34:34Mets are going to win a championship quicker than the
- 34:36Yankees. I think he's wrong.
- 34:37Aaron Judge says he he thinks he's wrong.
- 34:39It's it's completely selfish for what the Yankee fans are calling
- 34:43him and saying the things that they're saying.
- 34:45We are a franchise that hasn't won since 2009.
- 34:49Give a little bit more respect to the players that were there
- 34:52and helped us get there. Hi, I don't it's first of all,
- 34:59do you expect anything less? He picked the Mets.
- 35:01Like if you you can't say what fans and fans do, like, yeah,
- 35:04you pick this, you took you took the bag and left.
- 35:07That's I mean, I got I got some really good information from a
- 35:10very, very good person. And he wanted to stay, but his
- 35:14family wanted him to be a Met. And you know what, whatever you
- 35:17but you know the repercussions of what's going to happen.
- 35:19So fans are fans, That's what they're going to do.
- 35:22If he expected anything less, he's an idiot.
- 35:25Like there's no chance he didn't expect it to like that.
- 35:28They were. I thought it would probably be
- 35:31even worse, but it wasn't. So you can't say fans don't need
- 35:35to do this. Yes, they have every right to do
- 35:37whatever they want. They didn't attack him.
- 35:39They didn't throw stuff at him. They can do whatever they want
- 35:42and they they handled it right. But it's just it doesn't mean
- 35:46anything. I mean, we're still early in the
- 35:49season, like we're we're still getting going.
- 35:51Yeah. Is it, is it nice bragging
- 35:52rights or what have you? But it doesn't really mean
- 35:55anything. It's just, you know, everybody
- 35:59said, oh, Judge, he went over 5 or three punch outs like, oh,
- 36:02he's done. Like I was just like, people
- 36:04relax. It's one game.
- 36:05Like it's one series. He's going to have bad series.
- 36:08But yeah, I just, I expected it. I didn't expect them to win.
- 36:12I didn't expect him to do anything crazy.
- 36:15Like he tried to play it off like it wasn't bothering him,
- 36:17but you can just tell his energy's different and he's
- 36:21going to either figure it out or he's not.
- 36:23But the end of the day, he's still getting paid.
- 36:25So he grow up and deal with it because it doesn't really truly
- 36:31matter at the end of the day. But yeah, I want to see see what
- 36:35happens at the end of the year. They're both playing good
- 36:36baseball and I think they both have a good chance to to do
- 36:41something and we'll see how it plays out and how his season
- 36:44plays out. And how somebody else's plays
- 36:47out. All right, so the only thing I
- 36:51got to add on top of the Yankee series is they won.
- 36:56So suck it, mess fans. Yeah, that's just how it is. 2
- 37:00out of. And by the way, I'm a Yankee
- 37:02fan, but I just I think the ridiculousness on the way the
- 37:06Yankees, there were posters pointing of of a gun shooting in
- 37:09the back of Soto's head. I mean, it's ridiculous.
- 37:11Stop this. Well, that's.
- 37:13Ridiculous. Stupid.
- 37:14It's ridiculous. There's a lot of dumb stuff like
- 37:16that. You know, I don't even want to
- 37:18get into that stuff. But you know, I, I know that as
- 37:21a Yankee fan, I'd be much more upset if he went to the Red Sox
- 37:25or he went to, you know, someone in division, then he went to the
- 37:29Mets. I just look at him going to the
- 37:31Mets is going how you went for the money.
- 37:34Enjoy, you know. He was never staying with the
- 37:37Yankees. He was never staying with the
- 37:40Yankees. I don't know why everybody was
- 37:41surprised. Well, if he signed the same
- 37:43contract. He was never staying with the
- 37:45Yankees, dude. He never wanted to be a Yankee.
- 37:48I'm telling you, he wanted to be a Met.
- 37:49Why did he? Before he was traded to the
- 37:51Yankees, there were stories coming out that he says I love
- 37:54Citi Fields, my favorite place to play.
- 37:56Him and Lindor train in the offseason together.
- 37:59He was never going to the Yankees.
- 38:02That's why I want to trade Michael King.
- 38:03Look at what Michael King is doing right now, okay?
- 38:06It makes me sick. I never wanted to get rid of
- 38:09Michael. If you don't want to play Yankee
- 38:11Stadium and you go there one year and go to the World Series,
- 38:13that's not enough. I don't know what the heck you
- 38:15want. Man, he believes he can do it on
- 38:17another franchise. Let's well we'll find out if he
- 38:20can. I hope for the Mets fans sake he
- 38:23does have. That in Yum Yum.
- 38:24That lackluster outfield play that he's held in that series as
- 38:27well with a really bad. Snatch.
- 38:29By the way, if you saw it, Rebalancer, all right, well, our
- 38:35golf analyst popped off. It was great to see Owen, but
- 38:39Scotty Scheffler won the PGA Championship this weekend.
- 38:43Errol's favorite guy. You know, Errol considered
- 38:46himself like the Scotty Scheffler of the, you know,
- 38:50Savior Tears league. He didn't win, but he was like
- 38:53the number one guy because of all the FedEx Cup points that he
- 38:55would get every match, you know, But Scotty Scheffler did get his
- 38:59win. He is the number one player in
- 39:00the world right now. It's his third major.
- 39:04Sometimes I wish I didn't care as much as I did or as I do, he
- 39:07said again after his final round.
- 39:09It would be a lot easier if I could show up and be like, eh,
- 39:12win or lose, I'm still going to go home and do whatever.
- 39:15Sometimes I feel that way. But the end of the day, this
- 39:17means a lot to me. Scaffolder's the number one
- 39:20player in the world and he had to.
- 39:21He won despite having to play with a new driver because his
- 39:25driver failed the test before the tournament.
- 39:28So did Rory Mcilroy's. And I looked into what makes you
- 39:32fail a driver test. And it's not, you know, not
- 39:35knowing how to parallel park. It is simply it gets worn down
- 39:40over time. And he used it for over a year.
- 39:42And when they're worn down, it's like kind of like having a
- 39:45curved stick and it can go a little farther illegally.
- 39:48Well it's it's decompressed on the face so it bounces off
- 39:51hotter. So it gets a little bit more of
- 39:52like a court. Back like thinking of a court
- 39:55back, yeah. So they he had to use a
- 39:57different driver. Didn't matter.
- 39:58He won the tournament. Jon ROM, though, if you were
- 40:01watching the tournament, was with him all the way until.
- 40:05Missing a couple of putts after in a great for a great approach
- 40:08shot. He could have had an eagle on
- 40:1115. It goes from could have had an
- 40:13eagle and being in the lead to par bogey, double bogey, double
- 40:20bogey finish for ROM in a classic implosion.
- 40:26Errol, dial it up. I love this.
- 40:29This is good for golf when you have a dominant player like
- 40:32this. He's been, even though he looks
- 40:34like he's 40, he's 28 years old, he's still fairly young.
- 40:38He's a superstar, young superstar right now and he's
- 40:41only going to grow as as he moves forward in his career.
- 40:44And I expect him to win more and more tournaments.
- 40:47It's fun to watch watching the competitiveness all the way
- 40:50through three days and watching these guys fight to finish.
- 40:54I, I like it. I think Scheffler is a
- 40:57interesting guy. I, I think that he, what makes
- 41:00him so interesting is you'll, you remember Tiger Woods and how
- 41:03mean Tiger Woods is and, and you see all that, you hear stories
- 41:06about Scheffler. Obviously we know what happened.
- 41:09You know, what was it almost a year ago?
- 41:11So we know what, you know, what happens when you, you get
- 41:14involved in stupid situations. But I will say this about
- 41:18Scheffler. Scheffler goes out there, he
- 41:20plays hard, he puts the, he puts his, he puts his game out there
- 41:25and he makes sure that he can compete with some of the best in
- 41:27the world. And there's nobody better than
- 41:29him. There's nobody close right now
- 41:32in golf, even close to him. It doesn't matter who it is.
- 41:35And you want to see people that can compete every single day and
- 41:39there's just nobody can compete against them.
- 41:41And he's only to get more endorsements and bring more
- 41:43endorsements to golf as we saw Tiger Woods do it.
- 41:46I think he is the, I wouldn't say he's Tiger Woods, but he
- 41:50he's got an opportunity to really be the superstar for the
- 41:53next 5 to 6 years when it comes to the PGA.
- 41:56Yeah, I was going to say, I don't think any golfer at this
- 41:58point is going to be as close to the marketing perspective,
- 42:00popularity perspective the Tiger Woods has just because again,
- 42:03it's even though it's growing in America, it's still not really
- 42:06originating American sport. But Scheffler is definitely
- 42:08getting there when it comes to the popularity with all the
- 42:10videos that he's had with these interviews.
- 42:12I think it's definitely up there.
- 42:13And Fish, you brought up with the quote, too.
- 42:14I think that's a big dynamic when it comes to the psychology
- 42:17of the sport, to being able to overcome a driver test, being
- 42:20able to stay calm in that moment.
- 42:21Rahm's been a very good golfer for a while, but he has had some
- 42:25of those collapses late. And I think it's has hurt him in
- 42:27his career. And the Scheffler just stays
- 42:29calm amidst all that. Obviously the big one last year
- 42:31with the the traffic Cam footage and he still ends up winning
- 42:33that. Like it's, it's crazy how just
- 42:36unfazed he can be sometimes. Congratulations.
- 42:38You need to be. The only way you're going to be
- 42:40considered is when you go through phases and you can find
- 42:43your way out of him in any sport.
- 42:45If you could do that, Jabba could tell you that he was a
- 42:47professional athlete. Goody could tell you that you
- 42:50have to. Find even more so in golf, when
- 42:52it's so psychologically and mentally important.
- 42:55But Speedy don't, don't, don't think.
- 42:57I don't know if you've ever been to a golf tournament or
- 42:59whatever. No, don't think that was a new
- 43:01driver. It was the same driver.
- 43:03They're they're their sponsors are all in their own thing.
- 43:06They have lockers with their clubs if God forbid, because
- 43:10unless you physically break it yourself out of frustration, But
- 43:13if you hit it against the and and hit a face off, like you can
- 43:16replace your club. So they have all their specs and
- 43:18everything's in their locker. So it's not like he was using a
- 43:20brand new club. It was the same one he's been
- 43:23using and they'll re they can readjust it to the to the tilt
- 43:26and whatever. If he's hitting it, he could hit
- 43:28it right there. So.
- 43:29But there's some other golfers that might get flustered by that
- 43:31too. That's what I mean.
- 43:32I need more of that. Oh yeah, he got arrested and
- 43:34still won. You think he.
- 43:35Came, I know. Like, first of all, the PGA,
- 43:37he's been number one for over 100 weeks now.
- 43:40But the PGA, like they hated when Brooks Kepka was literally
- 43:44kept winning because he's boring.
- 43:47He's like, oh, they're just playing golf with his buddies.
- 43:49Like he doesn't fist pump. He doesn't show emotion.
- 43:52Like he's just a hell of a golfer.
- 43:54Like, I love watching him play because it's it's fun to see,
- 43:59but you, you didn't see the emotion.
- 44:00That's why nobody will ever be as marketable as Tiger because
- 44:04he wore it on his sleeve. And nobody will even come close
- 44:07to the majors that he has. It won't.
- 44:09It's not even going to happen. And Scotty's been number one for
- 44:12over 100 weeks and he's only has three.
- 44:16All right, let's move on to the next story.
- 44:19Congrats to Scott Shot Scotty Sheffler.
- 44:21Oh, he's going to win more. Phil Nicholson said at one time
- 44:23that he was never He wasn't going to win this year.
- 44:26All right guys, journalism wins the Preakness.
- 44:30But is the Triple Crown system broken?
- 44:34Yes, journalism, a six to five favorite won the Preakness after
- 44:37finishing second in the Kentucky Derby to sovereignty who did not
- 44:40compete. This led to NBC Sports Randy
- 44:44Moss. Not that Randy Moss, the white
- 44:46guy, made news criticizing the sport of horse racing, horse
- 44:50racing for the Triple Crown schedule in the 1960s and 70s.
- 44:54Seven of those years in each decade, the 123 finishers in the
- 44:59Kentucky Derby all came back and ran the Preakness.
- 45:01That's what the Triple Crown is supposed to be.
- 45:04That's what made it what it is. The Kentucky Derby establishes
- 45:08rivalries. It draws in the people to be
- 45:10invested in it. And then those rivalries
- 45:12continue in the Preakness and the Belmont, the 123 finishers
- 45:16of the Derby, they've only come back to the Preakness now twice
- 45:21in 17 years. The system is broken.
- 45:24There's an easy fix, but the sport just has to remove itself
- 45:27from that straight jacket of tradition that so many people
- 45:30are in right now that's holding it back.
- 45:33He was referring to the Belmont, which is in three weeks, who
- 45:38refuses to push its date back to accommodate the Preakness to be
- 45:43able to do the same. It's considered kind of cruel to
- 45:46make horses run with like, in less than three weeks is kind of
- 45:51my understanding of it. So Errol, dial it up.
- 45:55I've been to the Belmont. I saw a Triple Crown winner.
- 45:58It's it's pretty amazing when you get to see these horses.
- 46:01They're big, they're strong, a lot bigger than you think they
- 46:04are when you watch them on television.
- 46:06I do believe obviously horse racing is broken.
- 46:10I think there has to be something done and and I don't
- 46:13like the fact that somebody wins the Kentucky Derby and he
- 46:16doesn't decide. You know what?
- 46:17I'm not putting it in the Preakness.
- 46:18I don't want to put my horse through it.
- 46:19That's a bunch of crap. You're the reason why you're
- 46:22watching this reason why the you want these young new fans to
- 46:25watch it. You want to see these horses
- 46:27when the Triple Crown when's the next time we're going to see a
- 46:29Triple Crown? I don't know.
- 46:31And that's the difference right now when it comes to horse
- 46:33racing. I want to see more of
- 46:36competitiveness when it comes to sports.
- 46:38This is a sport and the only people that were interested in
- 46:41watching those races are the real die hard horse fans, the
- 46:45Jason wurths. Nobody give it gave a crap.
- 46:49Nobody cared. It was on I, I, I actually was
- 46:53at an event, I was at an event on Saturday for my birthday and
- 46:58I was watching everything but the Preakness and it was right
- 47:00on television. Nobody gives a crap because
- 47:03nobody's going to win the Triple Crown this year.
- 47:05So I do believe that it's broken.
- 47:07Randy Moss has a lot, he had a lot to say about this.
- 47:10I agree with him. Something needs to be done and,
- 47:13and they have to look at obviously in the next couple of
- 47:16years or if there's a CBA or whatever it is some kind of
- 47:19rule, you know, changes that need to be done when it comes to
- 47:23horse racing. It needs to be done a lot sooner
- 47:25than later because if it doesn't, we'll never see a
- 47:27Triple Crown winner again. Yeah, but you also got to
- 47:31remember, too, that the Triple Crown is not as important as
- 47:34we've seen in probably the last 20 years what it used to be.
- 47:39Because now what happens is you win one leg of the Triple Crown,
- 47:43you don't ever have to race again.
- 47:44You just roam and just be getting that Pootie Tang all day
- 47:49for a chance for them to get pregnant and that's it.
- 47:52That's why they don't want to put him through the stress of
- 47:54having those back to backs. That's why you haven't seen the
- 47:56first time in 17 years. And the Preakness doesn't or the
- 47:59Belmont doesn't get a lot of those guys because they do say
- 48:02it's inhumane to run them back-to-back because they are
- 48:05treated better than humans. And the way that they have to
- 48:08take care of them and get them ready for the next race.
- 48:10But you don't have to because you can go in and have a couple
- 48:13Phillies over there and be like, Yep, we just won the Derby.
- 48:16We don't need a race in the Preakness.
- 48:17I'm going to go make 250 to 500,000 for a chance for you to
- 48:22get pregnant. And then that's why they don't
- 48:25do it because, yeah. Do you win a couple legs?
- 48:27Does that that give you a little bit more?
- 48:29Yeah. But now it's not as important
- 48:31because you can go in and just have this horse.
- 48:33Now you, you got your money back in a couple sessions and now
- 48:38it's just making money and then buying another horse.
- 48:40You see it all the time now. Why do you think all these guys
- 48:44haven't won a Triple Crown but have so many horses?
- 48:46Because they continually stack money because they can do it for
- 48:49at least two to three years afterwards.
- 48:53And by the way, you said a horses.
- 48:54Get traded. Anything on that By the way, I
- 48:57know you. I know you were talking to Jason
- 48:58Worth when we were at the Super Bowl.
- 49:01I don't know if you if you getting into any of his horse.
- 49:03Games that would be a no with that look, that is a no for
- 49:07goody. But I will say this, horses I've
- 49:10seen, I've, I've seen what horse, how horses have been
- 49:14treated After they're done with them, they chop them up and they
- 49:17throw them out. It's just so disgusting the way
- 49:21they treat horses after they're done with them.
- 49:23They throw them out like a piece of waste paper bath, you know,
- 49:27crap. So I just don't like the way
- 49:29obviously horse racing has transitioned into.
- 49:32I watched the documentary. Speedy, Have you ever ridden a
- 49:35horse a. While ago.
- 49:37No, no, no. The horse rides him, I keep
- 49:39telling you. That I've never encountered a
- 49:41horse. They were, they were.
- 49:43Like in person and since I was at that time.
- 49:46You know why you. Haven't.
- 49:47Was it like a pony ride or something like that?
- 49:49No, he doesn't. He doesn't want to get close to
- 49:5210 years old because when he was 10 years old, one, you know,
- 49:55kind of gave him a little little business.
- 49:57Anyways, let's move on. All right, let's move on to.
- 50:02The Dodger. And we're in baseball.
- 50:06The Orioles fire manager Brandon Hide.
- 50:10The Orioles filed your manager on Saturday after a 15 and 28
- 50:15start to 2025 season. Third base coach Tony Mansolino
- 50:19takes over as interim manager. The poor start to our season is
- 50:23ultimately my responsibility, the general manager, Michael
- 50:27Elias, said in a statement. Part of that responsibility is
- 50:30pursuing difficult changes in order to set a different course
- 50:33for the future. I want to thank Brandon for his
- 50:36hard work, dedication and passion after all these years
- 50:39and for returning the team to the playoffs and winning an AL E
- 50:43championship. Hyde, who was in his seventh
- 50:47season as manager, led the Orioles to 101 wins in 2023 and
- 50:51that LA Championship that we just mentioned and 91 last year,
- 50:55making the wild card before being swept by Kansas City
- 50:59Errol. It's pretty obviously, it's
- 51:06pretty obvious what's going on with the Orioles.
- 51:08I said this in the beginning of the season.
- 51:10I'll say it again, if you don't have pitching and you decide to
- 51:13part ways with pitchers, star pitchers like you did in the
- 51:16offseason, you're going to lose. They have a great roster, but
- 51:20again, these are young guys and some of them are going to take
- 51:24longer than others to develop. As we see right now, there's
- 51:28quite a few guys that really stand out from all the rest on
- 51:31that roster, but the other guys aren't producing.
- 51:33The problem right now with the organization has nothing to do
- 51:36with management. It has everything to do with the
- 51:38GM. It's right now the manager, you
- 51:41know, he goes out there, he plays who he has to play and the
- 51:44players that you give him. If the other guys aren't going
- 51:47to play well or they're not playing well, the pitchers
- 51:49aren't pitching. That's not the managers fault.
- 51:51That has something to do with the GM and giving him the right
- 51:54guys in the rotation. That's going to help out.
- 51:57When your guys aren't hitting, they don't have a good rotation.
- 52:00Their rotation sucks and that's why I said they're not going to
- 52:03have a good season where everybody thought they were
- 52:05going to compete with the Yankees in the American League
- 52:07East. I didn't think they had a shot.
- 52:09I just don't think you have. You can blame the manager from
- 52:13all this and maybe they find their way out, but I don't think
- 52:17no matter who you put over there as the next manager, they're not
- 52:20winning this year. They're not good.
- 52:22They really aren't. Unless they go out there and get
- 52:25themselves 2 legitimate starters.
- 52:28It doesn't matter who's managing the team.
- 52:30They could have Bochy there. They're not making the playoffs.
- 52:37Wow. Well, I played for Tony
- 52:41Manzilino and AAA and it was my last triple, my last AAA stint
- 52:47with Cleveland and we, I really enjoyed him.
- 52:51I really enjoyed him. And I actually, I'm, I'm friends
- 52:56with Ryan Mountain Castle. He lives in Orlando right here
- 52:58with me. We've had multiple conversations
- 53:01about Manzo and the guys really like them, so it's no surprise
- 53:05here that Manzo's taking over the reins for Baltimore after
- 53:09they canned their manager. I think it's going to be a good
- 53:16move. I think that I think I'd give
- 53:18give the guys a new look. Tony is a player's manager.
- 53:22I enjoyed him personally. We had a great relationship.
- 53:28There's probably some things I don't want to say on air that we
- 53:30we we did. But I couldn't be more happy for
- 53:36him. I believe his dad managed in the
- 53:37big leagues for a little while. So I think he's just following
- 53:39right into it, right in his dad's footsteps.
- 53:41So hopefully this turns around the Orioles season.
- 53:44I'm actually going to call him or text him tomorrow and pick
- 53:48his brain and see what see what we got or see how it might see
- 53:50what Mountain Castle saying about him.
- 53:53No, I think this is great. I think that the younger guys
- 53:55will have that are in the trenches with him day in and day
- 53:59out. I think they'll respond well.
- 54:02So I saw they just lost to Milwaukee 4:00 to 5:00, but and
- 54:08they lost to Washington as well, four to 10.
- 54:10But hopefully he'll get his first one here sometime soon.
- 54:13Could he try? To get an in to get his four.
- 54:15Why do you say that he was a? Number because it's.
- 54:19It is how it is in the. Leave it alone, Jabba.
- 54:24You got to Goody's tired, man. He's yelling at T-ball players
- 54:29and his son, not in in the ball or striking out.
- 54:32I mean, nobody wants to watch his team lose that many games,
- 54:36right? Right, Goody dude.
- 54:39It's almost midnight, isn't it? Yeah, you guys are hour ahead of
- 54:41us. Goody is just trying to get his
- 54:43in for. The coaching staff.
- 54:46How many dial UPS we got? Let's go.
- 54:47It's. The last starlet.
- 54:48Coming. Up.
- 54:49We're going to dial it up. Errol, you mentioned it earlier
- 54:52in Golf Club triple double, but there was another play in that
- 54:55game that's getting a little bit more attention.
- 54:58There was a flagrant one that Caitlin Clark was called on
- 55:03Angel Reese. So as we saw 2010 and 10 and
- 55:08four blocks. Clark was also given a flagal
- 55:11flagrant one on what looked like just an ordinary.
- 55:13Flagal, Flagal. On Angel Reese, that almost led
- 55:17to Reese swinging at Clark before teammate and WNBA All
- 55:23Star Aaliyah Boston stopped Reese.
- 55:26Both were given technical fouls on the play.
- 55:29After the game, Clark was critical of the flagrant foul
- 55:33call, saying it's a take foul to put them at the free throw line.
- 55:37I've watched a lot of basketball in my life.
- 55:39That's exactly what it was. I wasn't trying to do anything
- 55:42malicious. That's not the type of player I
- 55:45am. And I want to show you this clip
- 55:49real quick of this foul. So there it is right there.
- 55:53And she kind of goes after and I'll just kind of rewind a
- 55:56little bit. You see Aaliyah Boston kind of
- 55:58catch what looks like to be the beginning of maybe a little bit
- 56:02of a swing by Angel Reese just right here.
- 56:10Sorry, just kind of caught her and this is just.
- 56:15Be a cat fighting. Scratch.
- 56:19My dog wants your Pussycat. Yeah, but if you actually show
- 56:25the if you show 10 seconds before, you'll see Angel Reese
- 56:29shove Caitlin Clark's player, so.
- 56:32No, no, that's my point. I want to, I want you to see
- 56:36this. So you're seeing the the girl in
- 56:39red under the. Right of the ground.
- 56:42Is falling to the ground. That's because we got the NBA
- 56:45Jam two hand shove that Karl Anthony Towns was using in the
- 56:49last series done by Angel Reese. They try to illegally get
- 56:52position for a rebound, wasn't called, get a weird bounce and
- 56:56Caitlin Clark just fouls her hard so she has to go over the
- 56:59line. And they turned it into quite a
- 57:01big thing. Obviously, it made the rounds on
- 57:05social media. And to all the favorite talking
- 57:07heads of yours in the sports world, including your buddy
- 57:11Stephen A Smith, Errol, dial it up.
- 57:15Let's be honest right now, if it's not Caitlin Clark and Angel
- 57:19Reese, why would anybody not care?
- 57:22I mean, nobody would care, honest to God.
- 57:24Now Angel Reese has some kind of hatred for obviously Caitlin
- 57:28Clark because Caitlin Clark is a superstar and she believes she's
- 57:32just as good as Caitlin Clark. As Angel Reese is getting many,
- 57:35many different or endorsements and I'm not taking shots at her
- 57:39and her greatness. Caitlin Clark is growing even
- 57:42faster in the WNBA because of what she delivers and what she
- 57:46gives to the WNBA. Unfortunately, when it comes to
- 57:50sports, there's always one. There's A1A and there's a 1B and
- 57:54Angel Reese is always going to be a 1B and in her eyes, because
- 57:58she's the 1B, she's always going to have hatred more for Caitlin
- 58:02Clark. And and she's the one, she's the
- 58:04one that's been delivering the punches in the offseason about
- 58:08Caitlin Clark that Caitlin Clark's this and Caitlin Clark's
- 58:11that. And she's not what she says she
- 58:13is. I think it's ridiculous.
- 58:14The girl goes out there and plays the game of basketball.
- 58:17She's bringing in money. She's bringing in more
- 58:19endorsements for the league and every single girl that isn't or
- 58:24Caitlin Clark is a hater. And I think right now Angel
- 58:27Reese can't stand her because she is a Caitlin Clark hater.
- 58:31Is it a flagrant? No, it's not a flagrant.
- 58:33If you watch it again, if anybody should have gotten a
- 58:36flagrant foul, it should have been Angel Reese for what she
- 58:38did before that. And the fact is, Angel Reese
- 58:42just wants to be the aggressor, the enforcer right now in the
- 58:45WNBA. And for some reason, I really do
- 58:48believe they're both behind this.
- 58:51I really think they're a lot more closer than people.
- 58:53I think. I think they're out there.
- 58:56I think they're out there to sell tickets.
- 58:59I think they're out there to do No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 59:02I I think it's Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.
- 59:05That's what I think it is. These are two guys that
- 59:07everybody thought hated each other, and one came from
- 59:10Michigan State and the other one came from Indiana.
- 59:14And then all of a sudden they were back and forth in the NCAA
- 59:17and then they went into the NBA and one play for the Celtics and
- 59:20one play for the Lakers. But really, they loved each
- 59:23other and they had nothing but respect for one another.
- 59:25I think the same about Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.
- 59:28It's all a selling tactic and the WNBA loves it.
- 59:32And that's what I think. I just think it's all about
- 59:35selling tickets. Let's not forget when you know,
- 59:39and you know my stance on on women's basketball fish, but
- 59:42let's not forget when Caitlin Clark came into the league, she
- 59:46was getting absolutely annihilated.
- 59:49Yeah, just watch the highlight video of her getting checked
- 59:51multiple times, thrown to the ground and she punched pop that
- 59:55pop back up, got to the line, did her thing and and continue
- 59:58to play. But all of a sudden she decides
- 1:00:01to dish it back, and now it's considered a whoa.
- 1:00:04And was she would she hit the ball?
- 1:00:06It wasn't like she pushed her down.
- 1:00:07She went for the ball. Look.
- 1:00:09It was a hard foul, she said. It was a hard foul.
- 1:00:12It was How about when Angel Reese went to the line and
- 1:00:15missed the free throw and though apparently the whole Now correct
- 1:00:18me if I'm wrong, but apparently the whole stadium erupted like
- 1:00:21happy now the WNBA is considering this racist.
- 1:00:25So I from my understanding and I didn't really want to focus too
- 1:00:29much on that part of the story because.
- 1:00:31Well, it's part. It's.
- 1:00:31Obviously a part of the story, but.
- 1:00:33Because that's bullshit. Just to kind of like talk about
- 1:00:36it briefly, there's more than that was being said towards
- 1:00:41Angel Reese. And in middle Midwest America,
- 1:00:44you can use your imagination what was being said towards her
- 1:00:47if you're supporting, you know, Caitlin Clark.
- 1:00:50However that happens at games, people talk smack.
- 1:00:56I got a question. I got a question.
- 1:00:58It does. But at the same time, if, if,
- 1:01:00if, if my team, if I'm if the team that I'm going against
- 1:01:05misses a Frito, I'm going to be pumped.
- 1:01:07My question I I want to know Tommy's opinion because we never
- 1:01:11get a chance to let him speak and I want to know his opinion
- 1:01:15between this Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
- 1:01:16I know he's a basketball fan. My question to you guys are the
- 1:01:21WNBA has never had this before. They've never had a person
- 1:01:26that's beloved and somebody that believes she's just as popular
- 1:01:31and just as a talented as the other person.
- 1:01:33But now it's become a racist situation and they and now it's
- 1:01:37become this against that. I mean, honestly, if you don't
- 1:01:42think that this is a good selling tactic for the WNBA to
- 1:01:45bring in money, then I don't know what you guys are watching.
- 1:01:47This is great. You don't want to.
- 1:01:49Sell it that way. That's that's not what you want
- 1:01:51to do. You don't want to create like
- 1:01:54negativity around the sport and. It's not negativity.
- 1:01:57How is it negative? But you know what you know?
- 1:01:59It's why it's negative. Why I no turning it into social?
- 1:02:03No, but we're looking, we're looking at it that way.
- 1:02:05And a lot of writers are looking at it that way.
- 1:02:08Maybe they're not looking at it that way.
- 1:02:09Maybe they're just looking at it as another selling point for a
- 1:02:13product that's trying to be sold.
- 1:02:14So I I disagree. If if they are, they're doing a
- 1:02:18great job of it I guess. But for me, I don't like
- 1:02:21watching this kind of negativity.
- 1:02:24I would like them to get back to do what they're doing and just
- 1:02:28focus on the fact that she put up a 20 point triple double in
- 1:02:31the first game of the season with four blocks and she's what,
- 1:02:346/1, right? Something like that.
- 1:02:37Well, I think to your point, Fish, too, though, that it's the
- 1:02:39same thing. Like now you got guys in the
- 1:02:42media going at it and slandering each other's families and like,
- 1:02:46it doesn't need to happen, man. It's like it makes zero sense to
- 1:02:50me. Like I don't care if you're
- 1:02:51purple, green, yellow, if you're good and have a good game, I
- 1:02:54don't care. Like what?
- 1:02:56What are we talking about here? Tommy.
- 1:02:58And you guys? Yeah.
- 1:03:00And I just want to my quick thing is, is that I, I want to
- 1:03:03focus, of course on what Arrow said.
- 1:03:04Of course, the, the fact this is that this is great, great
- 1:03:07competition, good, any competition is good competition.
- 1:03:11And the fact that we're even seeing and like you said, fish,
- 1:03:13the fact that this made its rounds, the fact that some of
- 1:03:15the biggest talking heads are talking about it.
- 1:03:17The fact is that we weren't in the same position 10 years ago.
- 1:03:19And the fact is, is that although some people might have
- 1:03:22more of a hatred toward Caitlin Clark, more of a hatred target
- 1:03:25or toward Angel Reese, the fact this is that they're actually
- 1:03:28talking about them and the league knows what they're doing,
- 1:03:31pitting them against each other for the first game of the
- 1:03:33season. So I this is great for the game
- 1:03:35honestly. I agree with them.
- 1:03:38I, I think this is, this is a selling tactic and I really do
- 1:03:42believe Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, they don't hate each
- 1:03:45other. I think they like each other
- 1:03:47more than you think. I just think that they have to
- 1:03:49go out there and play the cards and that's just the way sports
- 1:03:54is. It's competitive nature.
- 1:03:56Come on, man. I can name a lot of guys that
- 1:03:58said they hated each other just because they played a by the
- 1:04:02way, Bill Lampier, who a lot of people hated and he was he was
- 1:04:05evil on the basketball court. They, I'm not going to mention a
- 1:04:08person that I know that played in the NBA against them said
- 1:04:11that when Bill Lampier was in the locker room after the game,
- 1:04:15he was one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and have a
- 1:04:17conversation. You can go out to dinner with
- 1:04:18them him and hang out with them. So I, it's not what you, what,
- 1:04:23what you see, I think it's what they selling.
- 1:04:26So I disagree. I, I, I think there, it's more
- 1:04:29I, I believe there's something. I have not seen any evidence you
- 1:04:33know the other way, but I guess it'll all play out for us and
- 1:04:36I'm sure we'll talk about it again.
- 1:04:38Have you watched Mike Tyson fight over the years?
- 1:04:42Mike Tyson? Well, unfortunately.
- 1:04:43I watched the last one. Well, I'm not talking about
- 1:04:47that. I'm talking about Mike Tyson.
- 1:04:48In the past, there were, there are stories over the years that
- 1:04:52the guys, certain guys that he fought, he they were, they hate
- 1:04:56each other. He would swing at him.
- 1:04:58One of them is Lennox Lewis. Remember Lennox Lewis, he swung
- 1:05:01at him. They were, they were fighting at
- 1:05:03the press conference. They were best friends.
- 1:05:05These guys were so close. They trained together for the
- 1:05:08Olympics. They were so close, but that's
- 1:05:11what they were selling to the public.
- 1:05:14So it's all a selling. Were you trying to tell?
- 1:05:16Me when he told Lennox he was going to eat his.
- 1:05:18Baby 100% didn't mean it 100% he didn't mean it.
- 1:05:21As a matter of fact. Who inducted?
- 1:05:23Who inducted Lennox Lewis and called Lennox Lewis to the Hall
- 1:05:26of Fame? It's Mike Dyson.
- 1:05:29Mike Dyson. That's Mike Dyson.
- 1:05:31Just so you know. Mike Dyson was the one he picked
- 1:05:34to introduce him to the Boxing Hall of Fame.
- 1:05:36Why? Because they're best friends.
- 1:05:39All right guys. Well, that's been dial it up for
- 1:05:42another evening, some great stories and we'll see you next
- 1:05:46time next week. All right.
- 1:05:48So ladies and gentlemen, the final segment.
- 1:05:50I know this has gone long, so let's do it.
- 1:05:52Let's. What's that smell?
- 1:05:54Hold over, what is that smell? What's that?
- 1:06:00Smell. Wow, you don't see that every
- 1:06:04day. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:06:06if you don't know this segment, it's pretty simple.
- 1:06:08We're going to give you a certain story that's happened in
- 1:06:11sports throughout the week for the last 7 days, and we're going
- 1:06:15to tell you what it smells. So right now we're going to go
- 1:06:18Speedy first, Scoop second, Goody third, Fish 4th, Jabba
- 1:06:255th, me 6th. You guys ready?
- 1:06:27Let's hit it. Speedstar all.
- 1:06:30Righty. Here we go.
- 1:06:32So I'm going to do Drake, our favorite bad, better and rapper
- 1:06:37puts $1,000,000 on the Toronto Maple Leafs to win Game 7.
- 1:06:40Something like we said before has not been done since 2004.
- 1:06:45And he put $1,000,000. And after the Leafs got
- 1:06:47shellacked by the Florida Panthers 6 to 1, he went out to
- 1:06:50blame Justin Bieber who was wearing whatever he was wearing
- 1:06:54for the reason that the Maple Leafs lost, lost that game.
- 1:06:57Just blaming it on Bieber when he he's been a sports curse for
- 1:07:00a while. So what does that smell like?
- 1:07:02It smells like a bunch of Maple Leafs fans throwing the Ontario
- 1:07:05Stink Pot Turtle, one of the smelliest creatures in Canada,
- 1:07:10throwing hundreds of them on the ice in disgust.
- 1:07:14What was that Speedy? The Ontario stink pot.
- 1:07:17Turtle stink pot. Turtle and.
- 1:07:19Hundreds of hundreds of Maple Leafs fans throwing them on the
- 1:07:22ice like they're like the Predators.
- 1:07:25The right wing fan throwing throwing the sea creatures on
- 1:07:27the. Ice grumpy old man.
- 1:07:31Well, all right then. I'm going to give that one a
- 1:07:33quick GOOG. While you do that, I'm going.
- 1:07:36To explain how Aaron Gordon basically is essentially just
- 1:07:40whining about his team that's playing of that's having to
- 1:07:43play, of course, a lot of Game 7.
- 1:07:44So for those who don't know, Aaron Gordon after the Nuggets
- 1:07:47loss to the Timberwolves in the series, I'm starting at the
- 1:07:51Timberwolves, the Thunder in the series, he basically came out
- 1:07:54saying he doesn't like the time off in between games, saying
- 1:07:57that it should be multiple days instead of every other day, then
- 1:08:01sided even Jayson Tatum and Steph Curry injuries would have
- 1:08:05not happened and that's a reason as to why the league should do
- 1:08:08this. Now, I was talking to speedy
- 1:08:10about this beforehand and the Nuggets, they just play a lot of
- 1:08:13game sevens. They've played seven game sevens
- 1:08:15since their 2019 postseason. In the bubble.
- 1:08:18They played that. This is that the season right
- 1:08:20after the bubble, they played like almost three-game sevens.
- 1:08:23This team is always constantly going to take you to game
- 1:08:25sevens. The Nuggets last three series,
- 1:08:27that Timberwolves last season, the Thunder, of course, and then
- 1:08:31the the Clippers last series have been all game sevens.
- 1:08:34So the fact is, is that I don't know how much more time he would
- 1:08:37want in between. That's about two to three days
- 1:08:40off. If you play an elongated,
- 1:08:41elongated series like that. And if he doesn't like it, then
- 1:08:44he should probably be winning the series.
- 1:08:45Jamal Murray should probably be playing better and not as
- 1:08:48inconsistent. And I feel like you get rewarded
- 1:08:50for winning your series early and that's the time off you have
- 1:08:53as opposed to this vacation that I guess he wants in between the
- 1:08:56the playoffs. So basically it smells like and
- 1:09:00if everybody remembers analytics, it smells like Speedy
- 1:09:04after giving Aaron Gordon a hot Carl.
- 1:09:08There we go. Great.
- 1:09:12Call back right? A hot Carl.
- 1:09:18All right, the me. Go ahead, buddy.
- 1:09:21It's me. It's.
- 1:09:22Me all right, Disney Snow White, the 2025 the live action remake
- 1:09:29of the 1937 animated classic, is projected to be a significant
- 1:09:33financial loss for Disney, potentially rivaling, rivaling
- 1:09:36or exceeding the Lone Ranger's losses.
- 1:09:40Snow White is projected to lose. It's one of the worst movies of
- 1:09:47all time and projected to lose up to 230 to 277 million.
- 1:09:54All right, now for any of you guys who've seen Snow White,
- 1:09:57there's 7 little dwarfs, and this smells like all 7 little
- 1:10:02dwarfs shitting on a shitting in a bag and dropping it off at
- 1:10:05Earl's front doorstep and lighting it on fire for. 57 You
- 1:10:09know I'm not going to be stepping on it.
- 1:10:10We call that a flaming bag of poo, and that's what it smells
- 1:10:13like. Smells like a bunch of bullshit.
- 1:10:18We don't like that. Why my door?
- 1:10:22What were you? Why are you sending, you know,
- 1:10:24people to my door to light up a a bag of shit?
- 1:10:27I don't get it. I don't get it.
- 1:10:29All right, I'll go next. I've got.
- 1:10:32Harassment. I got Mike Malone being hired by
- 1:10:37ESPN to do some booth work for the Western Conference Finals.
- 1:10:45So we are going to get to hear from the former Nuggets coach
- 1:10:49right after the Nuggets have been eliminated, probably much
- 1:10:53to his delight. So what does that smell like?
- 1:10:56It smells like some very pungent tea.
- 1:10:58Because we're going to hear. Pungent.
- 1:11:01Out of his mouth on that. I've been very excited to see
- 1:11:05what he has to say. What went wrong in Denver?
- 1:11:12Very nice, a lot of hot. Ladies, a lot of.
- 1:11:14Hot ladies, a lot of hot ladies. I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 1:11:23Goody, you have to have Niffen put put all your seven of your
- 1:11:25dwarves on leashes. Breaking news Goody has no
- 1:11:30Woody. All right, who do we got?
- 1:11:39Is. It Jabba.
- 1:11:40I believe. It was Jabba.
- 1:11:41I thought it was Speedy, then me.
- 1:11:43No, I went first. Speedy went.
- 1:11:44First, Yeah, well, I'm going to shout out Abby, who I'm going to
- 1:11:48see here in a little bit. Get the cocktail.
- 1:11:52I am a legend. I'm going to go, I'm going to go
- 1:11:54Raphael for call absolutely losing his marbles.
- 1:11:59Road rage to the pierist gets out, starts picking up rocks.
- 1:12:03Like we all know where he was at in a, in a parking lot where
- 1:12:07there's just some rocks and he just started hucking them at
- 1:12:09him. And now he's on a he he fled the
- 1:12:12scene, turned himself in. Now he's getting charged with
- 1:12:17literally, it is a felony of like throwing a missile, right?
- 1:12:24A missile. Yeah, a deadly weapon or
- 1:12:27throwing a missile into public or a private dwelling.
- 1:12:30Well, he does have an absolute chooch for an arm.
- 1:12:33So Oh yeah, 100, I think he's still got it at 47 at least.
- 1:12:36At least that guy thought he did.
- 1:12:37Then he picked them up out of the lineup.
- 1:12:39So that smells like he he might have either was having a bad day
- 1:12:44or somebody pissed in his post toasties.
- 1:12:46Two in the pink and one in the stink.
- 1:12:50Yes, Sir. All right, final, what's that
- 1:12:55smell goes to the NFL and this damn scheduling it came out and
- 1:13:00how did the Giants, the Lions and the Bears have the toughest
- 1:13:03schedule in 2025? It makes no sense.
- 1:13:06I've been a Jet fan my whole life.
- 1:13:08In the last five years, The Jets have have had some of the worst
- 1:13:13seasons we've ever seen and have been have had the 5th, 7th, 4th,
- 1:13:18even third hardest schedules in the NFL, the NFL.
- 1:13:23How does the NFL discover a kind of plan this every single year?
- 1:13:28How do they pick? They pick like five guys to sit
- 1:13:30in a room in a circle and say, OK, the Giants are playing this
- 1:13:32team, that team and that team. That's how it's going to go.
- 1:13:35It makes no sense. How do the Giants and the Bears,
- 1:13:39two teams that didn't make the playoffs this this past year,
- 1:13:42have two of the hardest schedules in the NFL?
- 1:13:45It makes no sense. You know what it smells like?
- 1:13:47It smells like that bag of crap that I lit up on Goody's
- 1:13:51doorstep and while I was lighting it up, I took another
- 1:13:54dump on top of it so it gives it a little bit more of a Cheech
- 1:13:58smell. So there you go.
- 1:14:00That's what it sounds like anyways.
- 1:14:02Throw some Canadian stink. Pot, by the way, I don't, I
- 1:14:05don't get the NFL. I don't, I don't get this
- 1:14:07scheduling. It makes no sense.
- 1:14:08And what I've been hearing over the last couple of years is they
- 1:14:11have like 3 guys or two guys that sit in a room and they
- 1:14:16calculate, you know, there's an economic calculation on how they
- 1:14:21use tactics on how they pick these teams and where, how they
- 1:14:25going to discover how they're putting, you know, the schedules
- 1:14:29together. So it makes no sense.
- 1:14:31I think the NFL is a bunch of, I, I don't know, they're a bunch
- 1:14:34of idiots over there. I think it's a terrible way of
- 1:14:36figuring out who plays who and how hard the schedule should be
- 1:14:41depending on how good they are, how bad they are.
- 1:14:42The the Chiefs have been one of the best teams in the NFL and
- 1:14:47you know where this Chiefs schedule is ranked this year.
- 1:14:50They're like in the middle of the pack.
- 1:14:52They're. Well, the AFC S will do that.
- 1:14:54It's horrible. Just think about it.
- 1:14:57You are, you have been one of the best team.
- 1:14:59You're the best record in football, one of the top three
- 1:15:02records in football for the last three years and your schedule is
- 1:15:06in the middle of the pack of the NFL.
- 1:15:08That's pathetic. The NFL needs to figure this
- 1:15:11out. It has to make some sense.
- 1:15:12I don't know how you figure out who's going to be good or who's
- 1:15:14going to be bad, but you obviously can calculate who's
- 1:15:18going to be good by the way the schedule is set up.
- 1:15:20So that's that's the way I look at it.
- 1:15:23Anyways, thank you to all the fans that listen to us every
- 1:15:26single week on Spotify, Apple, Blue wire.
- 1:15:29Thank you to Blue Wire for putting up our, you know, put it
- 1:15:32up with our shenanigans and we're looking forward for a full
- 1:15:36year of just craziness and being partnered with over there with
- 1:15:40all the guys over there, Blue wire.
- 1:15:41So thank you to blue wire. Thank you to all the fans again
- 1:15:44on all our social medias, from TikTok to Facebook to Instagram
- 1:15:49to X to Spotify video and all the plat YouTube for all the
- 1:15:54platforms we're on that I didn't mention Odyssey.
- 1:15:57Thank you to all the fans that TuneIn and check us out and keep
- 1:16:00downloading us. Keep listening to us as we're
- 1:16:03growing. We're doing really, really good
- 1:16:05on Simplecast over the last couple of days and we're looking
- 1:16:09forward to our arrangement and our, you know, our connections
- 1:16:13with many different organizations and sponsors
- 1:16:16moving forward. So thank you.
- 1:16:18We'll be back on Thursday, Speedy.
- 1:16:19We have any. Guests not definitively yet.
- 1:16:21I asked our friend Stuart Schweigert.
- 1:16:23He was interested in coming back on, but I haven't heard from him
- 1:16:25since last week. I know you were also mentioning
- 1:16:27Riley. As well as possibility.
- 1:16:29I'm I'm working on Riley. The problem is, is that, you
- 1:16:32know, obviously rookie camps opened up in their training and,
- 1:16:36and getting Riley on a show, I knew this was going to happen.
- 1:16:39He said, oh, after the after the draft.
- 1:16:42Now he's, you know, it's, it's rookie camps and everything like
- 1:16:44that. So I got to get Riley to just
- 1:16:46give us 25 minutes. He should, I told him you're
- 1:16:50going to get it to the NFL and you're going to be bigger than
- 1:16:53everybody else. And he says that's not going to
- 1:16:55happen. So we'll see.
- 1:16:56I'll get Riley on the show. Don't worry about that.
- 1:16:58I trust. Riley.
- 1:16:59I I trust him too, it's just it's a pain in the ass but and I
- 1:17:02really think he's going to get that job, but.
- 1:17:04Couldn't we? Is there any way, like if
- 1:17:06there's a time that works that it's not when we're there, where
- 1:17:09we could just like cut it and then just place it in?
- 1:17:11Yeah, we could do that, yes, but he he's it's probably easier for
- 1:17:15him to do it at night, not in the daytime, because he's
- 1:17:18training in the daytime. So it I don't think it's going
- 1:17:21to make a difference. I think he'll come on later at
- 1:17:23night and do the show. I just think it in the daytime
- 1:17:26it's going to be a little bit harder for him.
- 1:17:28So we're working on it. I I'll get Riley on.
- 1:17:30He said he wanted to come on, He said he would.
- 1:17:33So it's it's just a painting. I think he's going to get that
- 1:17:36job. I don't think it's going to be
- 1:17:37this year. It's going to be two years.
- 1:17:39But I do believe Riley Leonard is going to be a starting
- 1:17:41quarterback of the the Colts. I really think he's going to get
- 1:17:44that job. So such a hard worker that kid.
- 1:17:47Anyways, we'll be back on Thursday with new content, new
- 1:17:51guest and more craziness. Thank you to all the fans that
- 1:17:54tuned in and listened to our crazy 5 hour show.
- 1:17:57We'll talk to you on Thursday. Good night, it.
