- 0:00Welcome to the Inside Integration Podcast.
- 0:02My name is Chris. I am joined as always by my
- 0:04partner Jason and. What's up, everybody?
- 0:07Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to step on you there.
- 0:10That's. OK, I already said it.
- 0:12It's yeah, we're, we're everybody's, we're all jubilant
- 0:17today. It's the it's the first, first
- 0:19episode of our third season. So in your in your podcast
- 0:24thing, you'll see a little, see a little three there, see a
- 0:27little 3. That is crazy for something that
- 0:30started out as a marketing exercise.
- 0:33We've come a long way. Hey, what what can we do that is
- 0:39not not a big lift And, you know, can, can be some fun and
- 0:42we can talk to some people. Let's let's do a podcast.
- 0:44But yeah, I don't know how to do that at all.
- 0:45And it shows. Yeah, right. 100.
- 0:49We're living proof of. That 5 episodes later, here we
- 0:52go. But no, we're, we're, we're
- 0:56we're bringing some big news today as we talk about this
- 0:59fresh on the wire is Sony and TCL.
- 1:04Have have you heard? Well, of course you've heard
- 1:06about this. I don't know, forgot what I was
- 1:07asking here but man, big big deal.
- 1:14Yeah. I mean, I think it's a signal to
- 1:17obviously a broader landscape of what consumer electronics are
- 1:20going to look like here in the next decades coming forward,
- 1:25right? Like with this isn't like a
- 1:26tomorrow till next week kind of move or operation.
- 1:31And all of the details are not clearly out there on the in the
- 1:35world yet because it's still an if you know, from what I read on
- 1:38the news report, it's an if they can make it work and if they can
- 1:42do that so that, you know, really they're just making the
- 1:44official announcement to Wall Street and to the buying public
- 1:48at large that, hey, you know, we're looking at maybe doing
- 1:51this and trying to see if we can figure it out.
- 1:53I mean, Sony and Honda tried to merge, Nissan and Sony tried to
- 1:56merge. Like there's been a lot of
- 1:57things that maybe haven't fallen the way that they're supposed
- 2:01to. And I'm no insider on any of
- 2:03that stuff other than being able to watch it, you know, from the
- 2:06sidelines like everybody else. But yeah, this is a, a,
- 2:10definitely a, a, a wild, how shall we say wild change.
- 2:14Because you look at what you look at the, the manufacturing
- 2:18prowess that lives in China, but also with a company like TCL.
- 2:23And then you also look at, you know, the intellectual property
- 2:27and some of the things that Sony owns on the hardware side of the
- 2:30business and. Processing.
- 2:33Pretty dramatically. Yeah, certainly.
- 2:36Not just consumer goods. Yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's
- 2:42real interesting because it is, it's a 5149.
- 2:46You know, the announcement at least is that it was like a
- 2:485149. Is there is that?
- 2:52Is that a clock? Yeah, there's a, there's a,
- 2:53there's a time stamp. Yeah, there's a clock below me.
- 2:56So if, if anybody's at home listening and they're like, what
- 3:00the hell just happened? Jason is celebrating his mom's
- 3:0480th birthday in Florida. And because of that, I'm not in
- 3:09my normal and I would say sound controlled environment, but
- 3:12that's not exactly what it is. It's a room where I can close
- 3:14the door and turn everything off.
- 3:17At my mom's house, we've got chime clocks because my mom's
- 3:20eight years old. So that's just what we do.
- 3:22So anyways, every 15 minutes of this podcast we will get another
- 3:26chime to remind us that it's time to get it moving.
- 3:30Dude, that is you know, and here we go.
- 3:32We're off track already, but that is absolutely one of those
- 3:36like as soon as I heard that, like, you know, you know, you
- 3:39know what it is, right, Because that's, that's something.
- 3:41Yeah, of course. Grow up with, you know, nobody's
- 3:45got chime clocks anymore. That's just not even a thing.
- 3:47But that's great, dude. That's like, where are you at?
- 3:50Bavarian Village? What's going on with you over
- 3:52there? Immediately brought me back to
- 3:55like, you know, grandma's house tchotchkes like I'm thinking
- 3:58Doyleys like all of a sudden just puts you in his headspace.
- 4:01Like good for you man. That's awesome and and good on.
- 4:04Tchotchkes, what are you talking about?
- 4:06What a what a what a great son to fly across the country and be
- 4:08with your mom on her 80th birthday.
- 4:10You are. You are just a Mensch dude.
- 4:12Good for you and you know, well, here we go.
- 4:17I'll, I'll, I'll take that. I'll take those words of
- 4:19kindness. Yeah.
- 4:20And we'll just put it up with the chime and say, you know, I'm
- 4:24grateful for the privilege to be able to be here and and
- 4:27celebrate with my mom. So anyways, now that we've
- 4:30covered that ground, we can get back to.
- 4:34To seeing the. TCL and what that all means.
- 4:37Yeah, absolutely. Jason is sitting in a room
- 4:39surrounded by stuffed animals and chime clocks, so it.
- 4:42Hummels. It's a new day.
- 4:44Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:45Oh, my God. There's for sure some penalty
- 4:47pictures of me in high school, you know, whatever wish had been
- 4:51burned or should have been burned.
- 4:52It's good. That's a great time.
- 4:54Anyway, so, so yeah, So what I've read about this thing, it's
- 4:58it's a 5149 TCL favored agreement is what they're
- 5:02talking about. And correct, it's not, it's not
- 5:04just like the the news is the TV's, but this is also the home
- 5:09audio portion of things, which is a real big revelation, right?
- 5:13Like Avrs and that kind of thing.
- 5:15Like this kind of gets, you know, TCL into into that market
- 5:20that they really weren't in before.
- 5:21You know, they've they've made inroads and TV's like people
- 5:24know what TCLTVS are and that kind of thing.
- 5:26But yeah, this, this kind of firmly cements the place in the
- 5:30living room. Maybe I maybe I completely
- 5:33missed it. Maybe none of the articles I saw
- 5:35had it in there. But any idea what happens with
- 5:37projection? Is that part of this too?
- 5:40Have you heard or? I yeah, that's a great question.
- 5:43I I think maybe it's much too early to call and that's
- 5:46certainly somewhere on a line item for things to discuss in a,
- 5:50in a conference room somewhere in, you know, in San Diego or in
- 5:54Tokyo or somewhere in China, Shenzhen or somewhere between
- 5:58all three of those places, I'm not sure.
- 6:00But the you know, that's a that's a great question.
- 6:03What what is the future of of projection?
- 6:06I mean, I think a company like TCL certainly has the Hutzpah to
- 6:11be able to manufacture cutting edge projection displays layer
- 6:16in some Sony video processing and some of those sort of
- 6:20stories. I think that that certainly
- 6:24elevates, you know what their game is over the let's just say
- 6:28current administration of re badge DLP projectors and and
- 6:32that kind of stuff, right, But sure, yeah, sure.
- 6:34I think I you know, the, the audio component of all of this
- 6:37for me was was pretty startling as well.
- 6:40I was like, wow, that that's a big difference.
- 6:42Does that mean the, you know, the AV receiver business becomes
- 6:47something else? Does that mean that sound bars
- 6:50and that Sony's audio know how it gets cooked into some
- 6:55products that that, you know, maybe the Chinese guys have been
- 6:58trying to spin up but haven't been able to execute?
- 7:00You know, Sony owns a lot of patents on a lot of those
- 7:03things. So where does that IP live,
- 7:05where those patents live? You know, I think there's a lot
- 7:07of conversation around what, you know, what the devil's in the
- 7:12details is. They say, you know, this is an
- 7:15article that came out this morning, so we're already trying
- 7:17to dissect it. For, for, for.
- 7:19For facts. But it's news.
- 7:22Yeah, it's definitely a big deal.
- 7:24And I think it's a signal to everybody in our space that, you
- 7:28know, things, things are never static.
- 7:33And I think in, in this case, this is going to be healthy for
- 7:37Sony, you know, from a, from a standpoint of not having to be
- 7:41necessarily a, and I'm going to use this word as, you know,
- 7:45effectually appropriately as I can, but kind of a customer TV
- 7:48manufacturer, right? Like where they're buying rock
- 7:51components from other people, they're actually be able to use
- 7:53some of that engineering prowess with the manufacturing
- 7:56capability of a company like TCL.
- 7:59That's like given, you know, Emeril Le Gaziol and who said a
- 8:02lot knives and and oven and stuff to cook with.
- 8:05I think from from my viewpoint anyway.
- 8:07Bam, right, it's sorry, you know, and that's that's a real
- 8:15good angle that I that I kind of hadn't really thought about too
- 8:18much is, you know, for year, you know, Sony's Sony's been buying
- 8:23their components from what's essentially their competition,
- 8:25right like it you know some of their sure there's screens in
- 8:28their glass and that kind of thing and essentially it's a
- 8:30competition. So and you know again, this is
- 8:33just me kind of spitballing here.
- 8:34I don't know anything ever, but basically if I was Sony's
- 8:39engineers, I'd be real cagey about getting too involved with
- 8:42that kind of thing right like obviously you contract with a
- 8:44company to build a certain thing to spec.
- 8:47You probably have to be really wary, especially when you know,
- 8:51there's a company that you know, that same company is producing A
- 8:54competing product to yours, right.
- 8:56So now you've got this agreement with TCL where, OK, maybe you
- 8:59can open up some of that expertise to, you know, to these
- 9:04guys and, you know, maybe there's better ways to build
- 9:07panels that these guys are amenable to or, you know,
- 9:10however that works like, you know, that the, the TCL
- 9:12tentacles are, are big, you know, like there's they go deep,
- 9:15right well. Couple, couple of billion native
- 9:20customers, you know, behind the borders of China is a great
- 9:23place to start, you know what I mean?
- 9:26But the, the flip side of that is, you know, I think when I,
- 9:29when I was kind of thinking it through about I don't know how I
- 9:32thought about it. And of course, you know, there's
- 9:35a purist in me, I know, and you start turning into some weird
- 9:38xenophobe about Japanese manufactured Japanese goods and
- 9:42all that stuff. But you know, I think those days
- 9:44are I frankly pretty well behind us from a from a broad strokes.
- 9:49And I don't mean that in a in a pejorative sense.
- 9:51I mean that the economies of scale and where factories and
- 9:55manufacturing can really happen at an efficient level.
- 9:59That's sure in China or sorry, that's not in Japan, that's in
- 10:01China, right, That's in South Korea, that's in those other
- 10:03places. So for for a company like Sony,
- 10:07there isn't a South Korean partner that they could go to.
- 10:10I don't think that would be able to make the same kind of deal at
- 10:13the manufacturing level that you could make with a Chinese
- 10:16manufacturer. And, and who else can they
- 10:18compete with? If you, if you're at Samsung or
- 10:21you're at LG right now or you're at Hisense, you're probably
- 10:24looking back at that and going that's.
- 10:28A. Different day potentially here
- 10:30right exactly. So I think maybe that UPS
- 10:34everybody's game. So now you've got to come back
- 10:36and OK, crap. Well, they're, they're over
- 10:39there now. They're not just a, they're not
- 10:41just a customer anymore. Now they're like a competition.
- 10:44And they've got some pretty serious horsepower behind them
- 10:47to, to get back into market and to be, you know, price leader,
- 10:51performance leader, put Sony back on it where they were in
- 10:54the, in the heyday of, of the Trinitron and all that.
- 10:57Well, and that's yeah. And that's kind of why it was,
- 11:00yeah. It's, it's really kind of a
- 11:02paradigm shift cause you know, you've, you've got, I mean, I
- 11:06was AI was a huge Sony fan, right?
- 11:08Like, you know, Sony AVR, Sony components, Sony TV.
- 11:11So you know, it's all, it's all baked in and all that stuff.
- 11:14And, and knowing that, OK, now it's, this is the expertise,
- 11:18right? Like, and, and for what it's
- 11:20worth, I mean, this is Sony has run this playbook before, you
- 11:23know, like the, the cell phone, you know, the, the Sony cell
- 11:26phone and the Sony Vaio laptop and, and whatever.
- 11:31You know, it's, it's interesting the things that Sony has done to
- 11:35kind of survive, right? Like they're still strong.
- 11:37And saw some comment on Reddit. It was like, OK, so what's Sony
- 11:40now? It's like, you know what
- 11:42photography and PlayStation in a trench coat.
- 11:46Like what's hard? You know what is?
- 11:48It and it's insurance, but there's a lot more eating and
- 11:51all and IP sure spider man birthday plates make more money
- 11:56than Sony TV's do every year so like let's let's not let's not
- 12:00kid ourselves right when we're talking about what IP and what
- 12:04licensing and all that stuff could mean for revenue, Sony
- 12:06doesn't have to put it in a box. They just have to sign a piece
- 12:09of paper and checks come and. They're and they're not losing.
- 12:12You know, that was always the thing with Sony is that it was
- 12:14expertise, right? It was image processing and it
- 12:16was it was different, you know, cinema shops and that kind of
- 12:20thing. And all of that knowledge now
- 12:22isn't lost, right? Like it just, you know, those
- 12:25folks move into something else and, you know.
- 12:29Got a whole user set of deep pockets.
- 12:31Yeah, it's, you know, Uncle T is going to come to town.
- 12:34Or Mr. T, I'm trying to. I pity the fool.
- 12:36I don't know if I make that joke, but you know, you got to,
- 12:42you got to really, you know, Uncle T comes to town and he's
- 12:45got deep pockets. And now you're engineers who
- 12:49have been trying to refine existing hardware that they've
- 12:52been provided can get back to the doing the, the heavy lifting
- 12:57and really stretching their imagination and have the funding
- 13:00to be able to really execute on it.
- 13:02I'm, I'm excited for that from a hardware side of things.
- 13:06And I think, you know, for, for Sony, the, the larger business
- 13:10entity that you know, has their, you know, don't, don't kid
- 13:13yourself. They're a giant octopus as well,
- 13:15right? They're they're in parts of the
- 13:16business world that you've never seen before and.
- 13:19There's healthcare, there's, you know, Yeah, they.
- 13:21All those Oh my God, it's it's insane hospital and, and all of
- 13:24that stuff, right, like military, you name it, it's that
- 13:27they've got a they've got a, a foothold in in so many of those
- 13:30markets. So, yeah, I'm honestly, I'm,
- 13:35I'm, I think it's a great way to be excited about what a future
- 13:40means for a company like Sony with this, because otherwise
- 13:45what, what, what is the long term effect if they continue to
- 13:47be a customer sort of manufacturer?
- 13:51How you know, in a, in a space where a 65 inch TV at the
- 13:55grocery store is $329, like that's a real thing, right?
- 13:59So how how does Sony live in that world?
- 14:02How do you assign a premium value to something that, again,
- 14:06the average person could walk into a grocery store or a, you
- 14:10know, pharmacy? Even I saw T VS right?
- 14:13Sure on on. The top of the Publix, right?
- 14:18Yeah, like, hey, man. Don't.
- 14:20Mess around. With Publix.
- 14:21OK, don't, don't do you. Hey, no.
- 14:29Like don't mess with my pub sub my guy 'cause I will cut you.
- 14:33Or a deviled egg. Publix deviled eggs.
- 14:36Low key solid hitter. If you like deviled eggs, go to
- 14:39Publix. If you're ever around one, snarf
- 14:42up some deviled eggs for lunch and fart on your Co workers.
- 14:45They love it. Those the front of the end.
- 14:50Yeah, front of the van. Egg farts.
- 14:52That's exactly the picture just. Just.
- 14:57I'm Let me, let me paint, let me.
- 14:59Paint the scene. You can, you can tell me how
- 15:01accurate this is, but, you know, 2 dudes sitting in a van, you
- 15:06know, just after lunch and it's just egg farts and you're in
- 15:08Florida. So it's 90% humidity and
- 15:12probably 85°. And just, I just can't.
- 15:16I just can't I, I'm retching in my mouth right now.
- 15:19Just think, Yeah. Luckily, you know you don't.
- 15:24You don't really want to. Make a candle for that.
- 15:28Do we do we need to make a candle?
- 15:31That's post two guys? In a van after.
- 15:34After deviled eggs. Yeah.
- 15:40Oh, man, yeah. You know, since it's a smell or
- 15:43one of your strongest memories. And I don't think that I, we
- 15:45should continue to extrapolate what that one must have been
- 15:48like. But yeah, there was certainly a
- 15:50lot of, you know, chicken tender sandwiches, certainly my beloved
- 15:56Publix pub sub, roast beef sub, Italian sub.
- 16:00And yeah, I mean, you got to put a couple of deviled eggs in
- 16:03there with a big gold Gatorade or something like that and get
- 16:07back out on that street wire, son, because this house is not
- 16:09going to wire itself these. These aren't deviled eggs, but I
- 16:13can see you driving around in a van with like a Paul Newman jar
- 16:18of just eggs in it, just, you know, reaching over, as you
- 16:21know, cruising, cruising down, unscrewing the top, taking the
- 16:25full hand loose. Yeah, no, no, that baby is
- 16:31nowhere nearby. Yeah, no, we.
- 16:34We we're definitely more of a, they're more of a beef jerky and
- 16:38giant jugs of water and ice guy. We did have a few.
- 16:43You know you're always going to run across some characters on a
- 16:45job site that might have an alcohol problem or a drug
- 16:48problem maybe. Just a little bit.
- 16:49But you know, like, why are there, why are there Bush light
- 16:53tabs coming out of our water jug?
- 16:55Oh, well, I know I was drinking Bush lights and I was storing
- 16:58them in the cold water. Is that cool?
- 17:00No, it's actually not cool. Yeah, Bush league is more like a
- 17:05That's your. That's your Michelob Ultra, he
- 17:07said. Was that you?
- 17:09Sounds like your name was Addis and you're you're from Chechnya
- 17:16or somewhere and drinking on the job.
- 17:17But anyway, what? What do I?
- 17:20Have hey, you could do a case of Bush lights and still frame a
- 17:23house and it and be perfectly fine.
- 17:24Those things are that's just it's an appetite.
- 17:27It's might as well be just not me, dude, right?
- 17:29It's better. It tastes like it, that's for
- 17:33sure. That's for sure.
- 17:34You. Know it, it it kind of and and
- 17:36back to the subject at hand, that's actually, you know, AV
- 17:39and integration. You know, this this sort of the
- 17:42story goes back. We talked a couple episodes
- 17:44about like it's consolidation right here we are.
- 17:47Oh, 15 minutes. Here it is.
- 17:49Yeah. Another, another 15 minutes.
- 17:50So we know that we've at least done 15 minutes on this podcast.
- 17:53Maybe we should. I should take this clock home
- 17:55with me. So we do it.
- 17:57Start out with the chimes. This could be part, this could
- 18:00just be a regular thing, right? Here's your here's your warning
- 18:03chime new character. On the show the chime clock
- 18:06chimey. It's chimey, the clock it's.
- 18:10A Dingle ball? Oh no, that's not right.
- 18:12No. No, it, it, it goes back to, you
- 18:16know, our recurring theme, right?
- 18:18Consolidation, right here. We, here we go.
- 18:20We're going to start seeing, we're a couple weeks into, you
- 18:23know, three weeks into January here and we're, we're starting
- 18:26to see more things coming together, coalescing.
- 18:29And, and in my wildest dreams, I would not have thought it was
- 18:32Sony and TCL, but here we are, right?
- 18:34Where's, where do we go? You know, where do we go next?
- 18:38My, yeah, my, my personal chat bot and my social media buttons
- 18:46have been, have you seen this? Did you see this?
- 18:49And I hadn't seen it. I was like, these are lies.
- 18:53This is AI. And then I actually did a little
- 18:57bit of reading and the the official press announcement
- 19:01from, you know, Sony dot GP or sorry, Sony dot JP would lead me
- 19:06to believe that that's very serious and should be something
- 19:10to I think be examined. And I think again, as I said
- 19:15before, I think celebrated kind of not, not because we should be
- 19:18excited about the fact that, you know, there's a bunch of new
- 19:21change and, you know, there's some, you know, people are
- 19:24asking a bunch of questions about the product.
- 19:26But I think what we were saying before is this is a great way
- 19:29for Sony to level up it really. Is to.
- 19:33Put a stamp on it so. It does, it seems, it seems
- 19:37beneficial all the way around, right?
- 19:38That's obviously what you want in all cases, right?
- 19:40You want something that benefits everybody.
- 19:42It seems like it's beneficial to to all sides here.
- 19:45You know, they could have picked a lot worse than TCL for sure.
- 19:50You know TCL. Making.
- 19:52Inroads big, Monitors big. Displays.
- 19:54Yeah, you you could have, you could have done a lot worse TCL
- 19:59and it's. You know, the, the, the
- 20:01anarchist in me says like, OK, well, that's one less
- 20:03competitor. But at the same time, you know,
- 20:06would it have been worse if LG and Sony did something together
- 20:09or Samsung and Sony or Samsung and LG or whatever, right?
- 20:13Like you're still, you're still kind of preserving that big
- 20:16three at the Top Model, right? And you're still, you're still
- 20:20room for disruption and that kind of thing.
- 20:23But yeah, man, definitely a surprise this morning for sure.
- 20:27I'm sure your your, your shit was buzzing nonstop there.
- 20:30You. Go well-being on East Coast
- 20:34time. I was surprised to be getting
- 20:35text messages at 7:00 this morning local time about it
- 20:38'cause that's when my, my phone decides it's time for me to wake
- 20:41up. So, you know, 4:00 in the
- 20:43morning, people are hell, maybe getting out the dog or
- 20:47something, whatever they're doing.
- 20:48And it's like, Oh my God, did you see this?
- 20:50Let me send this to Jason. He'll know what's going on like,
- 20:52Oh my God. So again, I'm, I'm excited for
- 20:57the, for the, for the future. I think that's a great and
- 21:01healthy choice for, for Sony to make to partner with a, a, a, a,
- 21:05an entity like TCL And I, I frankly, I'd have to say I don't
- 21:08know all the things I need to know about TCL.
- 21:11But I think from a, a, a larger branding exercise, the
- 21:15professional prowess that Sony has with all the image and
- 21:18sensors, which we kind of talked about that a little bit.
- 21:19I, what a great way to leverage that story well into the next
- 21:25decade and beyond. A. 100 percent, 100% All right,
- 21:29So any, any, any closing thoughts from from Florida?
- 21:33Anything else you you want to get into in in this the first
- 21:36episode of our third season? You know, I mean, we, we talked
- 21:41about deviled eggs. We.
- 21:45Talked about Publix, yeah. So we've got we got those bases
- 21:49covered. So I mean Florida's basically
- 21:52check box. You know, I, I will say that
- 21:55it's interesting to see being here where I'm at, I'm in Ocala,
- 21:59FL right now. So if anybody's ever been to
- 22:02Florida, or more specifically Ocala, FL, the, the horse life
- 22:07out here is real. So you mean we went out for
- 22:11dinner last night? Yeah, there was a big equestrian
- 22:14center here and the, the, the restaurant that we went to was
- 22:17in the equestrian center. So, you know, there's people in
- 22:20jumpers and stuff like that running around and, you know,
- 22:23girls run by with their, you know, teenage girls with their
- 22:28black Amex cards to go buy treats and stuff like that.
- 22:31So, you know, I guess there's, there's a lot of money down here
- 22:36in Florida. So if I was a custom integrator,
- 22:38I might feel pretty good about maybe trying to stretch my legs
- 22:42out, maybe get in contact with the horse people.
- 22:45If you hadn't targeted them before or didn't know anything
- 22:47about horses, they're, they're expensive.
- 22:50You should try to figure out how you connect yourself to the that
- 22:54horse life. So so so in a previous life when
- 22:58when I had a business in in Jersey, my partner I got got
- 23:03approached by A and this your story just reminded me.
- 23:06I figured I'd share it. OTB we got a no.
- 23:11Effects on the. Third race.
- 23:12Nope. Nope.
- 23:13Nope, we weren't. No, it wasn't anything like
- 23:15that, but we, we got approached by a, by a client who was big
- 23:19into horses and stuff and they wanted us to, you know, when
- 23:22you're, when you're in business, they ask you to, you know, put a
- 23:24little booster ad in like their, you know, horse club program or
- 23:29whatever it is, right. So it's a little thing.
- 23:30So I came up with, you know, because we were an integrator
- 23:35and we did smart houses. I put a thing in there, you
- 23:37know, everything you need for your smart horse and then
- 23:41crossed it out and, and wrote house and it went over real
- 23:43well. And I, I just don't think it
- 23:45gets to the, the credit that it deserves for, you know, that
- 23:47prototypical marketing thing. So yes, if you're an integrator,
- 23:51definitely lock in with the horse crowd because that is,
- 23:54that is a, that is a deep well, horses are expensive and there's
- 23:59your lesson for today. So right.
- 24:03Like you just, you know, if you, you want to ingratiate yourself
- 24:06to clients that have wealth and have means, go where the people
- 24:10are that have those things that, you know, I was able to just
- 24:13have dinner in that spot. And immediately I was thinking,
- 24:16dude, if I was a integrator, I'd be trying to figure out who I
- 24:19needed to be connected to here, what kind of events we could be
- 24:22doing here, what kind of outreach we could create, what
- 24:24kind of experience we could have with these guys.
- 24:25Like, what could I do to to sure elevate myself to get into their
- 24:30game? And not that you need to
- 24:32reinvent yourself or become a chameleon just to to gain new
- 24:36clients, but talk about thinking outside the box in terms of how
- 24:40am I going to get new customers or where?
- 24:42Where are the wealthy at in my area?
- 24:44Maybe it's the helicopter crowd, or the boat crowd, or the car
- 24:47crowd or the whatever crowd. Is crowd area the broke crowd.
- 24:51The boat crowd is a rich vein for sure.
- 24:54Well, if you. Have horses on a boat?
- 24:56You're doing it big time, right? Sponsor.
- 24:59Yeah, if you could find a horse race on a yacht, sponsor that
- 25:02that's your sponsorship opportunity.
- 25:04Yeah, let's. Go that's the that's the that's
- 25:07the Home Run Derby of of gold coins for you, Mr. Mario.
- 25:10So if if you can. Find this, You know this, this
- 25:13would be the ideal is the triathlon of yachting horses and
- 25:18golf, right? If you can, if there's an event
- 25:20near you that that combines all three, they're all the same.
- 25:24Guys, they're all the same people, that's what I'm saying.
- 25:26Right, like your dad. Drives the boat, the the the
- 25:30kids jump the horses or mom jumps the horses and then
- 25:32they're all going to go play a round of golf afterwards.
- 25:35That's a great way to go. Perfect.
- 25:38I love it. I think that's a good reason.
- 25:39There's my. Advice for me to you this?
- 25:43Is a good place to get off this horse.
- 25:44And yeah, so as always, welcome to Season 3, our third year.
