- 0:03Well, it's all going on here in Australia, we have had quite a
- 0:09bit of protesting marching going on over the last couple of days
- 0:14and some pretty severe. Ramifications, I want to go
- 0:19through a couple of different stories here and we'll finish
- 0:22off with what's happened with the liberal, the Victorian
- 0:26liberal MP and but I'm going to go to an article that well, To
- 0:34a, to a news Outlet, that's a put it that way, an outlet that
- 0:38I wouldn't normally read a lot of, but this is the star
- 0:42Observer. So I believe they are like a
- 0:46lgbtq kind of pro publication, whatever.
- 0:50Okay, so but I wanted to see what is going on.
- 0:54Get a couple of different sides, how different people are looking
- 0:57at this, this headline here, which I'll read for you and I'll
- 1:01actually if you're watching on YouTube, you've all the All
- 1:03along you be able to see what I'm looking at here.
- 1:08Interesting. The take on this, the headline
- 1:13says, Melbourne activists to protect to protest British
- 1:17anti-trans activist, Kelly Jay, King this Saturday.
- 1:21So that was last Saturday, so visiting UK, Auntie trans
- 1:25activist this Kelly Jay, King, australia-wide to a has been met
- 1:29with protests so far at her stops in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney
- 1:34this weekend, which was Saturday.
- 1:35Is gone, is a Melbourne's, it smell.
- 1:37Ben's turn with lgbtqi activists and allies planning protest on
- 1:43Saturday. March 18 2023.
- 1:46So Keen who goes by the online and handle the Posey or Posse
- 1:51Posey. Parker will be in Melbourne this
- 1:55weekend for her. Let women speak Australia tour.
- 2:01Isn't it strange how things have changed?
- 2:03If a men's group ever ever tried to protest a Group, especially
- 2:09one called let women speak, there would be hell to pay and
- 2:15not trying to mock the ladies groups are trying to speak.
- 2:18I think it's pretty disgusting. What these are what these groups
- 2:21of doing, trying to shut down, free speech.
- 2:24It's just, it's just strange, the way things have gone.
- 2:26Anyway, so she's on this speech. This tour let women speak to him
- 2:31which is backed by CPAC, which is the conservative political
- 2:36action conference. And binary Australia never heard
- 2:40of either of those groups. So obviously the ante trans
- 2:45activist their group here, they're going to try and bring
- 2:48everything together anyway. So Keen according to the
- 2:51National Union of students queer the which is I think an LGBT
- 2:56which is organizing one of the protests is one of the most
- 2:58recognizable and active Anti Trans activists in the UK.
- 3:03Okay. So Keen is on a mission to build
- 3:06links between the far. Rights.
- 3:08It's interesting who they describe as far right?
- 3:10Okay, far and wide to needy trans feminist activist the far,
- 3:15right? Is using transphobia which isn't
- 3:18real thing by the way, because let's look at the literal,
- 3:22meaning, you can't just put phobia, you know, a word in
- 3:26front of a term in front of the word phobia.
- 3:29It doesn't make sense, you can, who was really fearful of
- 3:33transgender people. You're not really, you just
- 3:36don't agree with it does. I mean, you're fearful and
- 3:38anyway, anyway, transphobia to build support and activists like
- 3:42Keen ain't aim to link up the far-right with anti-trans
- 3:47feminist groups. According to the group, which
- 3:50will protest along with campaign against Fascism and racism.
- 3:56If you don't agree with transgender ideology you are
- 4:00Fascist and racist. You are obviously, you must be
- 4:03part of that because racism has a lot to do with transgender is
- 4:07ism. Thank you that.
- 4:10Anyway, so this is going to be held at the Carlton Gardens.
- 4:13Saturday. We're turning out to oppose cane
- 4:16because we stand for the lift which is social justice workers
- 4:20rights. Anti-sexism workers rights.
- 4:24Okay, anti-sexism anti transphobia anti-homophobia and
- 4:29anti-racism, we won't let people like Keen pit women against
- 4:35trans people. We won't let far-right groups
- 4:39masquerade as supporters of women.
- 4:42This is what Grace lgbti officer posted on Facebook.
- 4:47Another group trans queer solidarity is also planning a
- 4:51protest against Parliament, steps in Melbourne, on March 18,
- 4:57tqs is protesting both Keen as well as anti-vaxxer conspiracy,
- 5:02theorists who have targeted queer and trans children.
- 5:09Very strange, the king and kicked off the tour and Sydney
- 5:11on March 11 was met with protests from, you know, from
- 5:14all these people on a second stop in Brisbane on March 12
- 5:18Keen to Porters, we're outnumbered by trans activist
- 5:21and anti-fascists according to the National Union of students,
- 5:25queer lgbti, a March 14 Kings supporters were reportedly
- 5:31drowned out by lgbtq rainbow people around 150 activist
- 5:37shouted, Posey. Parker, You Can't Hide.
- 5:39You have Nazis on your side. English singer-songwriter and
- 5:45activist Billy Bragg. Who's in Adelaide when Keen was
- 5:48visit was visiting, gave a shout-out to the protests
- 5:52against her, who really cares or Billy Bragg says anyway.
- 5:58Well, I'm talking about this year.
- 5:59So it was very interesting the way these people, what this
- 6:03organization classifies as far, right?
- 6:08Okay, so it's got here, a link into binary Australia classified
- 6:13as far-right, extremist group, and when you look up who they've
- 6:18decided is now far right now. Far-right group.
- 6:23So on the jump over to this article from the same
- 6:26publication, the star Observers. And this was a link from from
- 6:31one of the other pages. So this is who's now being
- 6:34classified as far-right. Extremist groups, Australian
- 6:38Christian Lobby. I knew this was coming, didn't
- 6:42realize, it was actually already here with some of them.
- 6:45So strongly and Christian Lobby LGB Alliance never heard of them
- 6:48one nation, which is a political party here in Australia.
- 6:52They've been listed as hate and extremist groups, this is the
- 6:56report So this is again written by the Shibu Thomas.
- 7:01So Pauline Hanson's, One Nation, the anti-trans group LGB
- 7:05Alliance and binary Australia and the anti lgbtqi Australian.
- 7:12Christian Lobby are among the 20 odd organizations identified as
- 7:18far, right? And extremist groups by the
- 7:21global project against hate and extremism.
- 7:26Otherwise known as GPA. Hey Chi.
- 7:29Okay. So GPA Chi is a US based
- 7:32anti-violence group, think tank that was founded by Veterans of
- 7:36the Southern Poverty. Law Center, a prominent civil
- 7:39rights organization in America. This is the group's first such
- 7:44reports that profiles. Far-right groups in Australia
- 7:48and second in a series of country reports.
- 7:52After a similar report in Ireland was released in August
- 7:552012. so according to the GPA, Chi majority of the group's
- 8:00listed in its Australia, report are white nationalist
- 8:06anti-immigrant, or anti Muslim, but anti lgbtq anti-transgender
- 8:14anti-semitic Semitic anti-women and groups pushing conspiracy
- 8:20theories also made the list anyone pushing he can It's
- 8:25Piercy Theory, like what's that, what's that latest conspiracy,
- 8:30that the plan to have a democratic?
- 8:34Put it that way, it was actually leaked out of a laboratory and
- 8:41didn't come from my fish market. How about that free conspiracy
- 8:46theory that obviously is never been proven anyway.
- 8:49So the report terms, the ACL Australia's most well-known anti
- 8:54lgbtq+ Group with stated positions against same-sex
- 9:00marriage, gay adoptions, safe schools lgbtqi reforms and
- 9:05recently trans rights. So I'll just stop right there.
- 9:09The whole reason why. Okay the ACL Australian
- 9:13Christian Lobby has stated positions against same-sex
- 9:18marriage and all that stuff is because that's what the Bible
- 9:22says. So I think I've said this before
- 9:25in another Podcast, okay, if if you don't agree with what the
- 9:29Bible says, what the Bible teaches, your problem really
- 9:34isn't with the Australian Christian Lobby or whatever,
- 9:37religious group, your problem is with God.
- 9:41And that's, that's the issue. So you've probably got bigger
- 9:44problems if you don't as a Christian, if you don't believe
- 9:49that in Salvation, if you don't believe that, the Bible teaches,
- 9:53the Bible shows us the way, if you don't believe in God.
- 9:55At all, you know, you really have to overcome that hurdle
- 10:03because if you don't believe in the Bible and you don't believe
- 10:07in God, what does it matter to you?
- 10:11What the Bible teaches, what these groups like the Australian
- 10:14Christian Lobby, teach? Okay, I think personally, I
- 10:17think you're going to have a bigger problem in the long run,
- 10:20but if that is your real issue, what they are teaching, what
- 10:22they are, what they believe in your issue is Is with the god of
- 10:27the Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ, the creator of the
- 10:30heavens, and the earth. That is where your issue really
- 10:33is. That's who your issue is really
- 10:36sorry. You got to take it up with God a
- 10:38anyway. So according to the GPA Chi and
- 10:42uk-based anti-trans groups, blah, blah, blah, LGB Alliance
- 10:47Australia. Chapter has supported, Jessica
- 10:49Hoyles case, seeking exemption under tasmania's anti
- 10:53discrimination discrimination laws.
- 10:55Got to hold some single-sex of an events that would ban trans
- 11:01women. so further damage says, Further down, it says there has
- 11:14been a reluctance in Australia to label anti-lgbt, iqi place
- 11:19and anti-trans groups like the Australian Christian Lobby
- 11:23binary and the LGB Alliance as hate or extremist groups.
- 11:28Despite that label being a play applied to racist and white
- 11:33supremacist groups Croom has told the star Observer, okay?
- 11:39So getting over all that basically.
- 11:43Christians are now being labeled as bigots which has been going
- 11:47on for quite a while. But there's this movement and I
- 11:50believe it's, I believe it's going to push in and they're in
- 11:53the in the long run, they're going to push in and wants the
- 11:56Bible to be to be labeled as hate speech.
- 12:00That's what I think will happen in the long run and I believe
- 12:03that there will be a push to actually be in the Bible.
- 12:08But all this, the reason why I'm talking about all this today, it
- 12:12is led to what's happened over the weekend with this March that
- 12:17occurred in, in Melbourne. So, a liberal MP by the name of
- 12:23Moira redeeming, I believe the name is, you know, bring it up
- 12:25for your Victorian. A liberal MP set for expulsion
- 12:29over anti-trans rally. So an outspoken Vic.
- 12:33Victorian liberal MP is set to be expelled from the
- 12:36Parliamentary party over her involvement in an
- 12:39anti-transgender, rally attended by neo-nazis now, at no point in
- 12:45any reports of ever seen anyone say that she supported these
- 12:50neo-nazis that arrived. Interesting, that the police
- 12:55were able to prevent the pro trans activist protesters from
- 13:04stopping or from attending this. This this this rally that was
- 13:09going on. However they weren't able to
- 13:12stop these neo-nazis some sense. A little strange.
- 13:17Okay, we can stop them but we can't stop this other group and
- 13:20and then we allowed them to go on and behave in a very
- 13:24unsociable unsociable way. And now she is paying the price
- 13:29for this. So going on, it says morning
- 13:31redeeming. Spoke at the let women speak.
- 13:36Little bit of irony, is she speaking at the let women speak
- 13:39event which is held by British anti-trans activist?
- 13:43Kelly, Jay King Marshall Marshall.
- 13:47Okay outside. Victorian parliament's on
- 13:49Saturday, so she's outside in front of her own workplace
- 13:54respectively. Yeah, practically.
- 13:57So group of neo-nazis joined, the anti-trans, demonstrators
- 14:03and repeatedly performed the not Nazi salute sparking violent.
- 14:08Clashes as police kept counter protesters at Bay opposition
- 14:13leader. John Pursuit.
- 14:15Oh, he said he met Miss deeming on Sunday afternoon and
- 14:19discussed her involvement in organizing promoting and
- 14:22participating in a rally that had speakers and others publicly
- 14:26linked with far, right wing, extremist groups, remember that
- 14:30far right wing, extremist groups includes the Australian
- 14:34Christian Lobby. It was far as I know and if you
- 14:37look up, if you check out Mark Niles who was like the head of
- 14:41that group, just very bible-based teaching.
- 14:46That's all Bible based organization.
- 14:50So apparently these far-right extremist groups, including a
- 14:53Neo-Nazi activist now. No one, no one supporting these
- 14:57neo-nazis anyway, so mr. Pursuit, oh confirmed, he would
- 15:03move emotion at the next. Party room meeting to expel her,
- 15:08as a member of the Parliamentary Liberal Party declaring her
- 15:12position. Untenable remember, all she
- 15:15actually did was speak at a, at a rally called let women speak.
- 15:23How dare she speak at a rally where they're fighting for
- 15:28women's rights to speak. Anyway, says, this is not an
- 15:32issue about Free Speech, but a member of the Parliamentary
- 15:35party associating with people whose views are abhorrent to my
- 15:39values. The values of Liberal Party and
- 15:43The Wider Community mr. Pursuit oh, said in a statement.
- 15:47So the liberal party, I joined, this is what he's saying and
- 15:51which I'm now honored to lead must Drive to represent all
- 15:54victorians regardless of religious Faith except for
- 15:58probably if you're a Christian in the long run, this will all
- 16:01end up being race sexual preference and identity.
- 16:05This whole victorians everywhere should know that the liberal
- 16:08party is inclusive and can be a voice for them.
- 16:11No matter what her background, we all share the abiding Bond of
- 16:15in the essential Humanity. Pursue do labeled the scenes of
- 16:19black-clad white supremacist marching along spring Treat and
- 16:24Abomination and a front two values.
- 16:27All Victorian shoot, hold dear and look.
- 16:31Definitely agree doing this. Australia has got no place for
- 16:34neo-nazis, so the violence Prejudice and hate that.
- 16:38These protesters conveyed by the odious actions will never be
- 16:42acceptable in our state. He said I condemn them and
- 16:44commit to opposing such hate wherever it may exist.
- 16:49So in a post on social medium is deeming, said she was
- 16:53Disappointed with kill Victoria Police for letting mask.
- 16:58Men, into the rally buffer zone, terrifying women, who would just
- 17:02trying to speak about their rights?
- 17:05She says, police managed to stop hordes of trans, right?
- 17:10Activists trans rights activists, but somehow somehow
- 17:15they could only walk masked men past us as they did.
- 17:19A horrible nasty. Salute, you You have to wonder
- 17:24what the Victorian police are doing when they can stop all
- 17:27those, the trans activist but they can't stop neo-nazis.
- 17:32You can't stop those follows from, you know, and they walk
- 17:35them past the women, really, and then, and I'll go on the former
- 17:41teachers city of Melton counselor was elected to the
- 17:44Victorian Parliament. Last year as member for Western
- 17:47Metropolitan region, replacing controversial MP Bernie Finn
- 17:52after he was expelled from Party over his abortion views.
- 17:55Now remember, his abortion views were abortions or wrong.
- 18:00He actually put out a few tweets when when the America the United
- 18:06States, overturned Roe v-- Wade, he put out a few tweets saying
- 18:10basically well done. He supported the view, he
- 18:14supports the he supports the farm not having abortions he is
- 18:19anti anti abortions. So obviously, they lost, he
- 18:26doesn't smell good anymore. He doesn't belong in the party.
- 18:29They got rid of him, he was expelled.
- 18:31Now, they have a woman who's had a pro woman's speech rally.
- 18:38She is no good either because well, apparently it's her fault
- 18:43that neo-nazis rocked up. Did that stupid?
- 18:46Salute police for some reason, unable to stop them from going.
- 18:52Passed from interrupting, the rally.
- 18:55Doing the solute please. Can't they can't do any of that.
- 18:59So obviously it's it's her fault and now she is going to pay the
- 19:03price because a bunch of buffoons got there.
- 19:07And the other buffoons who are dressed as Victorian police,
- 19:09couldn't stop them from marching and doing this stupid salute.
- 19:14So now, she pays the price for speaking at a rally called let
- 19:20women speak. And this is the way I strongly
- 19:23is going. And obviously, the Australian
- 19:27Christian Lobby. They are the far right and
- 19:32pretty soon. The Bible will be labeled as
- 19:35hate speech. That's where we're going folks.
- 19:39That's my opinion. Very messed up.
- 19:44Thank you for listening to the slippery slope.
- 19:42Very messed up. Thank you for listening to the
- 19:45slippery slope.
