- 0:11our King, our everything. You are our very breath.
- 0:17You are the life God. So I pray in the name of Jesus
- 0:22that we'll exalt your holy name higher than any other name, that
- 0:27will exalt your holy name higher than any other principality.
- 0:32God, anything that is trying to vie for our attention.
- 0:36God, we breakdown and pulverize all the idols that we have made.
- 0:42God, we consecrate this temple. God, make it.
- 0:46Holy. Father, as you are, holy, Lord,
- 0:48I pray and Lord, I desire more than anything that you will fill
- 0:54us with the Holy Ghost. God fill us overflowing.
- 1:01God fill us to the utmost. God, we thank you for salvation.
- 1:05We thank you for life. We thank you for breath.
- 1:08We thank you for our families. We thank you for our abilities.
- 1:13We thank you God for the word. We thank you for church.
- 1:17God, we thank you that you are so good.
- 1:21Lord, you are good, and Lord, we are so delighted by you and by
- 1:29your presence and by all the things that you have already
- 1:32taught us. And Lord, I know that you desire
- 1:35to take us higher. You desire for us to ascend the
- 1:40hill of Zion. God, I pray for peace.
- 1:44God, I pray for Jerusalem. God, I pray for the peace of
- 1:48Jerusalem. Father, I pray that you will put
- 1:51your son there and make all the enemies a footstool for him.
- 2:01God, help us to get out of our own way.
- 2:03Help us to lay down all of our selfish desires, all of our
- 2:07selfish things that we have put our eyes towards, all the things
- 2:16that we have held in higher regard to you.
- 2:19God, breakdown all of those things and help us, God, to love
- 2:23you more. Help us to serve you God.
- 2:26Help us to be your hands and feet.
- 2:28Help us to see this world all around us the way that you do.
- 2:32Help us to see people the way that you do, Father, as image
- 2:36bearers made in your image God, and masterpieces God, and help
- 2:41us not to refrain from sharing the good news.
- 2:45God. Help us not to shrink back in
- 2:49fear. Help us not to have
- 2:51prejudiceness. God.
- 2:53Help us not to see people for the way that they even present
- 3:00themselves. But God help us to see to the
- 3:03reality of them as little children, the way that you see
- 3:08them, Father, I pray that we won't see this false self that
- 3:14they present themselves as, but that we will see them, Father,
- 3:18accurately help us give us the eyes to be able to see into the
- 3:24things that you do. Father, I pray for a greater
- 3:29level of understanding. I pray for deeper revelation.
- 3:32God, I pray that we can follow you, Lord, with the cloud by
- 3:38day, in the pillar of fire by night.
- 3:40And if you will not go with this, Lord, we will not go.
- 3:43Lord, we stand firm on the Word of God.
- 3:47We stand firm on the infallible, inerrant word from Genesis to
- 3:52Revelation. God, nothing added and nothing
- 3:54subtracted. The complete authority.
- 3:57Father, we base our entire worldview off of your Scripture.
- 4:02Everything all around us, Lord, moving in the perfect unit
- 4:07sense, everything moving in unison.
- 4:10Father, I pray, Lord, that you will help us to have spiritual
- 4:14eyes and spiritual minds, God, that we can peek into, peer into
- 4:19what is actually happening all around us.
- 4:21God, rescue us from this wicked world.
- 4:26Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will heal our
- 4:30broken bodies. God, I pray that you will heal
- 4:33broken marriages. God, I pray that you'll bring
- 4:36the prodigals home. God, I pray for all of the
- 4:39rulers in this world to become godly and to fear you and have
- 4:45all that revival break out. Lord, from the King to the
- 4:50cattle, let revival. A global revival break out got
- 4:55us. God, let us return back to our
- 4:57first love. Lord, I pray that you will help
- 5:02us to be light and salt for today.
- 5:05We love you, King Jesus, we worship you in spirit and truth.
- 5:11The Spirit and the Bride say come, Maranatha, come in Jesus
- 5:18Christ, holy and precious name that I pray, Amen.
- 5:24Well, let's start in verse one, Paul, Silas, Timothy unto the
- 5:32Church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord
- 5:38Jesus Christ. Well, we can see that Paul's
- 5:42companions here are helping to write this letter and I'm sure
- 5:47Paul was delighted to have some insight from these great men of
- 5:51faith. We know that Paul and Silas were
- 5:54locked up in the Philippian jail together rejoicing and God did a
- 5:59wonderful miracle in that jail. We know that Timothy was like a
- 6:05son to Paul and we can see that these constituents of Paul were
- 6:09helping to write this letter. That is God breathed and
- 6:14inspired and it is useful, friends, for the building up of
- 6:19the Saints for all ages. And look at us now in this day,
- 6:23in this age, being fanned and being inspired and being built
- 6:31up and encouraged by the working of the Holy Spirit through Paul,
- 6:37Silas and Timothy. And we can see that God the
- 6:40Father and the Lord Jesus right next to each other.
- 6:44They are one. It's God the Father, God the
- 6:48Son, and God the Holy Ghost. 3 and 12 Grace to you, peace from
- 6:56God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 7:01We can see that this grace and this peace, friends, working
- 7:07together, and you cannot have the peace of God if you do not
- 7:11understand what grace accurately means.
- 7:15Grace is unmerited, undeserved. And it is grace, friends, that
- 7:22saves us through faith. And it is grace, friends, that
- 7:26covers us so that when God Almighty looks upon us one day,
- 7:31He will not see any of the sins that you have ever committed or
- 7:36are committing or will commit. And He will only see the
- 7:39perfect, righteous, blameless, innocent blood of Jesus Christ
- 7:44covering us from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet.
- 7:48Friends, that is what is going to get us into eternity with Him
- 7:53forever and ever. And that is where the peace of
- 7:56God comes from is knowing that you are in right standing with
- 8:00God Almighty, and you are at one with him, and you are justified
- 8:05friends, and righteous because of his righteousness and holy
- 8:11because of His Holiness. 3 We are bound to thank God always
- 8:21for you, brothers, as it is meat, because that your faith
- 8:26grows exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all
- 8:32toward each other abounds. Paul saying that he was
- 8:37constrained, that Paul was forced, that he had no choice
- 8:42but to give thanks unto God Almighty because he had heard
- 8:47about the charity and the love, that he heard about the
- 8:51Koinonia, this one another ring of one another, this fellowship
- 8:55that they shared. And it was so encouraging to
- 8:59Paul that he broke out into Thanksgiving and praise unto God
- 9:04because of this church here in Thessalonica.
- 9:09For so that we ourselves glory in you, in the churches of God,
- 9:17for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and
- 9:27tribulations that you endure. So Paul is saying that they
- 9:32were, that he was so incredibly happy, he was so incredibly
- 9:37thankful that they continued on in the faith in spite of all of
- 9:43the outward pressure and all the persecutions of the ones that
- 9:49were coming in and desired to tear them apart and shut them
- 9:53down. But they kept on and they did
- 9:55not lose faith and they kept up the work of God.
- 9:59And Paul was incredibly encouraged because he had heard
- 10:03that the church here in Thessal Nika did not give up in the face
- 10:09of all of their trials and all of their tribulations. 5 which
- 10:16is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that
- 10:21you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you
- 10:26also suffer. So there is this refining fire
- 10:30that God places us in and we do not like it and we do not want
- 10:34it and we do not invite it, but it produces the character.
- 10:40It produces God's polished image in the refiners fire.
- 10:45He's pulling out all the impurities and all the dross and
- 10:48all the things that do not belong.
- 10:51And we want to run from it. We want to hide from it.
- 10:54We want to stiff arm it. We don't like it, but we can see
- 10:58when we get on the other side how it made us battle hardened,
- 11:02how it made us into resolute followers of Him and that are
- 11:08not easily blown and tossed by every wave.
- 11:12Friends. We are not in the shallow soil,
- 11:14friends. We are in the fertile soil that
- 11:17gives way to much fruit, friends.
- 11:20And that is what you need to understand is that all these
- 11:23trials of God. And you remember what Jesus told
- 11:27Peter when he said that Satan had asked to sift him, but he
- 11:32had prayed for him and when he returned that he was to
- 11:34strengthen his brothers. And that is what happens in the
- 11:37refiners fire. As we get sifted, friends, look
- 11:41at the book of Job. Look at the life of Job,
- 11:44friends, and you can see what it looks like when God allows
- 11:47sifting in our lives. But it produces us in the end.
- 11:53We put our hand over the mouth and we say we've said too much
- 11:57because God's holiness is so incredibly wonderful, wonderful
- 12:02and we can see that God is producing so much good.
- 12:07Out of all the things that Satan means for evil. 6 Seeing it is a
- 12:18righteous thing with God to repay tribulation to them that
- 12:23trouble you. Vengeance is gods.
- 12:26We do not need to take vengeance on our own.
- 12:28We pray for our enemies, friends, and it does say that a
- 12:34strongman keepeth his house, a strong man armed keepeth his
- 12:40house. We need to understand if you
- 12:42have two coats, sell one and get yourself a sword.
- 12:47But that is for the protection, friends.
- 12:51It is not to be a seeker of trouble.
- 12:54It is not to go out and to try and annihilate the things that
- 12:59are in this world. We are only to defend ourselves,
- 13:03friends, and that is all that we get.
- 13:06It is not that we are to be the sheeple who just allow the
- 13:11ravenous wolves to come in and tear us apart.
- 13:15That is not what it means, friends, to follow after God.
- 13:20We are allowed and we are told to defend ourselves, but we do
- 13:26not go out looking for it. We do not go out stirring the
- 13:32pot and being arrogant and picking a fight that is not from
- 13:36God. And you need to understand that
- 13:38God will repay those who wrongfully persecute us, who
- 13:43wrongfully trouble us. God, in his beautiful,
- 13:46wonderful, amazing, uncanny way God has, He will bring about
- 13:54their demise in a way that is far better than anything that we
- 13:59could ever put together. He will repay those that trouble
- 14:05US. Seven.
- 14:07And to you who are troubled, rest with us when the Lord Jesus
- 14:13shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels.
- 14:20That is what you need to understand.
- 14:22There is coming a day in an age whenever He's going to put all
- 14:27of His enemies under His feet as a footstool, and that is 100%
- 14:34factual. It is going to happen whether
- 14:40you believe it or whether you don't, whether you like it or
- 14:43whether you don't. We are not to approach God from
- 14:46a moral rationale. We just get out of our own way.
- 14:53We give Him center stage. We say yes and Amen to all the
- 14:57promises in this book. And you can see here in Second
- 15:01Thessalonians chapter one, verse 7, that the Lord Jesus Christ
- 15:08will be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels.
- 15:12This is whenever Jesus Christ comes back with all of his
- 15:16Saints, friends, this is after the seven-year tribulation that
- 15:22Jesus will come back and be revealed to the entire world and
- 15:27everyone will see Him and they will try to hide themselves from
- 15:31His coming 8 in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that
- 15:40know not God and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus
- 15:45Christ. He's talking about Armageddon.
- 15:48He's talking about when all the evil in the world is gathered
- 15:53together at Megiddo and he destroys them with the sharp 2
- 15:59edged sword from his mouth. And it is easy for him.
- 16:03There is no battle, he just speaks it like he did in the
- 16:06garden when he says who do you look for?
- 16:09And then he says I am and they all fall backwards.
- 16:13It is easy for him. Friends, don't forget it.
- 16:17Nine who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the
- 16:24presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power?
- 16:30That is what you need to understand.
- 16:31There is coming a day in an age when all of the people who
- 16:36blasphemy His name, all those who are hostile towards a holy,
- 16:41loving God, all those who refuse to love the truth and they
- 16:46delight themselves in evil, all those with a reprobate mind will
- 16:51be amassed together and have to be dealt with.
- 16:55And God will punish all the evil deeds of those who have
- 17:02persecuted His people. And you can see that the
- 17:10greatest everlasting destruction and punishment is to be banished
- 17:18from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.
- 17:24You need to understand that for those who will not put their
- 17:31faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and they are hostile towards
- 17:34Him, and they will never put their faith in a loving God,
- 17:39this is as close to heaven as they will ever get.
- 17:44But for those of us who have placed our faith in the Lord
- 17:48Jesus Christ, this is as close to hell as we will ever get, 10
- 17:56when he shall come to be glorified in his Saints, to be
- 18:03admired in all them that believe, because our testimony,
- 18:08testimony among you, was believed in that day.
- 18:13So you can see here that when He comes, He desires for us Saints
- 18:20to glory in His presence and to admire all the work that He has
- 18:27done in US. And He took someone who was
- 18:30filthy, took someone who was hell bound and hell bent.
- 18:36He took someone who cared nothing for him.
- 18:39And He glorified them and washed them and made them clean and
- 18:43gave them incorruptible bodies. And we will be amazed at what
- 18:50God can do, and He is faithful to complete the work that He
- 18:54began in you, friends. And we believe it.
- 18:58And that settles it, because God said it. 11 Wherefore also we
- 19:05pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of
- 19:09this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his
- 19:13goodness and the work of faith with power.
- 19:17So he, Paul, is telling the church here at Thessalonica that
- 19:21he is praying for them always. And what he desires is that God
- 19:26would count them worthy. He would count us worthy of this
- 19:30calling. He is praying to God that they
- 19:34are the elect, that they were called before the foundations,
- 19:38they were chosen before the foundations of the earth, and
- 19:42that God has called out to them. And they had enough mental
- 19:45fortitude to choose God and to come into the fold, to hear His
- 19:50voice and to respond and to put their faith in the Lord Jesus
- 19:55Christ. And now we have a calling, and
- 19:59it is to fulfill the good pleasure of God's goodness and
- 20:04the work that God has for us that we will do in faith.
- 20:09And it'll be God's power that enables us to do all the work
- 20:13that He has for us. Verse 12.
- 20:16That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you,
- 20:21and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord.
- 20:27Jesus Christ synonymous to right there neck and neck, God and
- 20:33Jesus the same God is Jesus and we need to know it is the name
- 20:38that is above all names, Jesus Christ that we glorify in the
- 20:43highest. And it is grace that we need
- 20:46friends to be saved and it is grace through faith.
- 20:50I pray that you've been blessed by this amazing chapter here in
- 20:54God's Word. I know that I have comfort each
- 21:04other with these words. Don't fall into the trap that we
- 21:13don't talk about religion and politics.
- 21:16Don't fall into the trap that we need to keep our faith to
- 21:21ourselves. Don't fall into the trap that
- 21:30the plain words written for us that God gave us, God inspired
- 21:36and God breathed black and white on the pages don't need to be
- 21:43spoken in public. Don't fall into the trap that
- 21:50your salvation is to be kept a secret.
- 21:54Don't fall into the trap that you do not need to follow up
- 21:58with immediate obedience of baptism.
- 22:02Do not fall into the trap that the enemy tries to sow all kinds
- 22:08of doubt and worry and fear into your life and get you to doubt
- 22:15your own salvation. Don't fall into that trap.
- 22:18Today is the day of salvation. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus
- 22:24Christ today. It's not a question of have you
- 22:28ever. The question is, are you now?
- 22:34Are you now following after him? And I pray that you can answer
- 22:41yes. What an amazing God we serve.
- 22:54The gospel is simple. Don't complicate it.
- 23:00He will be pleased to give you the Holy Spirit and to guide you
- 23:05through this life. Put your faith in Him today.
- 23:10Don't wait for another day. Don't believe the lie of the
- 23:16enemy that says that God doesn't want to have anything to do with
- 23:19you. Don't believe the lie that God's
- 23:23done with you. Don't believe the lie, friends,
- 23:26that you got to clean your ACT up before you come to God.
- 23:30Don't believe that lie that is from the pits of hell.
- 23:35God says come as you are, come in your filthy rags and He will
- 23:41wash you and He will make you clean and He will purify you and
- 23:45He will make you holy. It's that simple.
- 23:49It's that easy. Do not believe that there's
- 23:55hoops that you have to jump through or a magical prayer that
- 23:59you must pray eloquently in order to make it into eternity.
- 24:04Just cry out to Him today. Cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ
- 24:09today. Believe God raised Him from the
- 24:12dead. Confess with your mouth that you
- 24:14are a Sinner in desperate need of a Savior.
- 24:19You shall be saved. I'm praying for you.
- 24:33I love you. See you back here tomorrow.
- 24:40God bless you.
