Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magiazic ninety four nine. Welcome
- 0:05Speaker 1: to another episode of Scott Nabby Unfiltered. I feel like
- 0:08Speaker 1: we have just re sparked another war in the building.
- 0:11Speaker 2: I love stirring the pot when it's just vaguely controversial.
- 0:16Speaker 1: And it's so good. Is that this is going to
- 0:18Speaker 1: be released a little bit later, but right now we're
- 0:20Speaker 1: in the thick of it, and I'm very curious between
- 0:23Speaker 1: the time that we're doing this conversation and when this
- 0:26Speaker 1: actually comes out, like what happens in between, Because we're
- 0:30Speaker 1: celebrating April Fools. Today is April Fools.
- 0:33Speaker 2: If you're like, what, it's Monday, it's April seventh, or
- 0:35Speaker 2: whatever day it is. We're recording this Wednesday.
- 0:37Speaker 1: We wanted to get a little ahead and we wanted
- 0:40Speaker 1: to stir the pot with our sister stationed down the hall,
- 0:43Speaker 1: which a couple episodes back you probably heard the controversy.
- 0:47Speaker 1: There is a war that kind of broke out between
- 0:49Speaker 1: one h two five The Bone and Magic ninety four nine.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It was the whole thing and honestly kind.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Of got out of hand, a war that people really
- 0:55Speaker 2: never expected. They're like Magic and the Bone have beef.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and all of a sudden, like corporategot involved. I
- 1:03Speaker 1: was like, ahh okay, now it's awkward. So we wanted
- 1:09Speaker 1: it's almost like our dove. We wanted to send over
- 1:11Speaker 1: our dove or olive branch, our peace off.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I was trying to think of ways we could extend
- 1:17Speaker 2: an olive branch but also be funny and playful, because
- 1:20Speaker 2: I think it got to a point where I'm like,
- 1:21Speaker 2: we could have had so much more fun with this,
- 1:23Speaker 2: and I feel like it just kind of got nasty
- 1:25Speaker 2: real quick, where I'm like, you, guys, if we just
- 1:27Speaker 2: talked to each other, we could have had so much
- 1:29Speaker 2: fun with this.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it was like a wrestling match where it's like, yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 1: we know wrestling, Like okay, like you guys are kind
- 1:34Speaker 1: of doing the thing, but it's like, okay, we don't
- 1:36Speaker 1: actually hate each other.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Well then it kind of got kind of muddy and
- 1:39Speaker 3: we're like, wait a second.
- 1:40Speaker 2: But also side note, I feel like I do need
- 1:41Speaker 2: to clarify this because so many people in my life
- 1:43Speaker 2: were like, were you guys just playing this up for radio?
- 1:45Speaker 2: I'm like, this is one hundred percent like how this all?
- 1:47Speaker 3: Like how was a legit?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yeah, when Scotty and I reacted to this, I mean,
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't know what was going on with the Bone
- 1:51Speaker 2: after we reacted to it. I don't know if they
- 1:53Speaker 2: were just playing up some of the things because we
- 1:54Speaker 2: haven't really spoken to them much about it. But like
- 1:57Speaker 2: when Scotty and I reacted to that podcast or not
- 2:00Speaker 2: that podcast, that radio show episode from weeks ago, it
- 2:04Speaker 2: was it was organic, like I hadn't heard it. So
- 2:07Speaker 2: I was like, oh, well, what if we just reacted
- 2:09Speaker 2: to it on the pod because it'd been a couple
- 2:11Speaker 2: of weeks. And I was like, well, apparently it's a
- 2:13Speaker 2: little sillatious. So that's all like legit. By the way,
- 2:16Speaker 2: I don't know why I feel the need to clarify it,
- 2:18Speaker 2: but like Rebecca, one of my old coworkers, texted me,
- 2:21Speaker 2: she's like, is this legit? My old co host Kristen
- 2:23Speaker 2: text me, she's like, is this legit?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Like you guys like this that was legit?
- 2:26Speaker 2: This is a legit like this. It was one of
- 2:29Speaker 2: those situations that was so messy that it's It's one
- 2:31Speaker 2: of those things that no corporate team would be like, yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 2: let's do that, you.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Know what I mean? Yeah, And I will say like afterwards,
- 2:37Speaker 1: there were phone calls that were made and texts that
- 2:39Speaker 1: were sent, and so I think there was a couple
- 2:42Speaker 1: of key players that were like, whoa, Okay, I think
- 2:45Speaker 1: maybe we took it too far.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Maybe we did too much.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Sorry, and like we wanted to show like, hey, yo,
- 2:51Speaker 1: we're good, Like we're tough cookies over here. Literally yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 1: y'all could try, but like we're good, we're adults. And
- 2:58Speaker 1: I think that was the thing that was surprising the
- 3:00Speaker 1: most of like people were so shocked by our response.
- 3:03Speaker 1: But now we want to make sure that hey, like
- 3:06Speaker 1: you know, we could handle our own and we're also
- 3:09Speaker 1: down yeah, to keep some of this you know, this
- 3:14Speaker 1: uh not rivalry, but this game.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Going, it's not even a rival because we're not competing stations.
- 3:19Speaker 2: That's what's funny, Okay with everybody, Gabby.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's not like we're.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Competing with them, like who's our competitors like FLZ or whatever.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It's not like we're making a poke at them.
- 3:27Speaker 1: No, No, this is literally just our neighbors are co workers, yeah,
- 3:30Speaker 1: our coworkers, And so it became this whole thing. But
- 3:31Speaker 1: we're like, you know what, we should have a little
- 3:34Speaker 1: fun on April Fools and play a little bit with
- 3:36Speaker 1: their mind.
- 3:37Speaker 3: And I'll give credit where credit is due.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Always Abby, you have a I'm just gonna say, you've
- 3:42Speaker 1: got an evil mind over there, and.
- 3:43Speaker 2: They have a twisted mind. Well, because I had a
- 3:46Speaker 2: really great first idea and because corporate got involved, So
- 3:50Speaker 2: we give you that backstory because my first idea was
- 3:53Speaker 2: so fun, but it got shut down because corpor was like, no,
- 3:56Speaker 2: we have to have to stop this. H So I
- 4:00Speaker 2: I'm hesitating wanting to say what my first idea is
- 4:02Speaker 2: because that means I can kind of never do whatever.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You could just say loosely that we wanted to get
- 4:08Speaker 1: involved with their show.
- 4:09Speaker 2: We were going to get involved with their show in
- 4:11Speaker 2: a way that they would not have expected.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think that would have been old school radio.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Would have been so fun. They would have been caught
- 4:17Speaker 1: so off guard. It would have been incredible. But since
- 4:21Speaker 1: things got a little money with corporate, we weren't allowed
- 4:23Speaker 1: to ya.
- 4:23Speaker 2: They're like, please stop.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Oh, we still didn't want to miss the opportunity.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was the way I'll describe it is
- 4:28Speaker 2: I thought it was a very fun prank that also
- 4:31Speaker 2: would appear as somewhat of an olive branch.
- 4:34Speaker 1: They would have took it. If they would have taken it,
- 4:36Speaker 1: but I think they would have got I think.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I think how I built the idea, the first idea,
- 4:41Speaker 2: they might have been pissed the second idea that built
- 4:43Speaker 2: off of that idea. And I'm so sorry we're being vague.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I do just want to keep it a little bit
- 4:46Speaker 2: close to my chest just in case we have Absolutely there.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Will be other opportunities to do it, because I love
- 4:51Speaker 1: like some competition, some fun between radio stations, because like
- 4:54Speaker 1: that's why I didn't want to go into news, because news.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Was so today there was a cack crash.
- 4:59Speaker 1: It's very just oh well, radio is like Marco Walker,
- 5:03Speaker 1: Like it's like the clowns in a room that give
- 5:04Speaker 1: you information, that give you entertainment. Then also it's a
- 5:07Speaker 1: lot of fun. There's a lot of spontaneous moments that
- 5:09Speaker 1: radio used to have all the time, and then now
- 5:11Speaker 1: it's just dropped off because again, you know, like respect
- 5:14Speaker 1: our corporate team, thanks for keeping us legal, but they've
- 5:17Speaker 1: kind of overstepped where it's like we can't really do
- 5:19Speaker 1: those things anymore because it's too far, it's too much,
- 5:22Speaker 1: it's too risky.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, everybody's under a microscope, so I think everyone
- 5:25Speaker 2: feels like they have to be like very above board
- 5:27Speaker 2: and everything. Not that any of this was would have
- 5:29Speaker 2: been underboard, yeah, but I think sometimes you can get
- 5:32Speaker 2: a little nervous to outstep.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but it would have been so funny. But instead
- 5:36Speaker 1: I started really thinking on.
- 5:38Speaker 2: So then I was like, okay, well, what's an idea
- 5:40Speaker 2: that's just so harmless that literally nobody will care what
- 5:42Speaker 2: we do? And so I scrapped that idea. Well, I
- 5:46Speaker 2: didn't scrap it. I pitched it, and I don't think
- 5:48Speaker 2: it went through.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it was shut down.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And then Monday I went to publics and I saw
- 5:53Speaker 2: that Pillsbury had cookie dough on sale, and I was like,
- 5:56Speaker 2: why come Yeah, And then as I was walking by,
- 5:59Speaker 2: I thought, well, what else what can I do with
- 6:00Speaker 2: all these cookies? Considering I live alone? And I thought,
- 6:03Speaker 2: you know what would be really funny is if we
- 6:05Speaker 2: baked the bone a bunch of Pillsbury cookies and we
- 6:08Speaker 2: just like left them in the studio, left them outside
- 6:10Speaker 2: or whatever, and said, from your friends at Magic ninety
- 6:13Speaker 2: four nine, I hope your month is off your great
- 6:16Speaker 2: start or something. And I thought this was so funny
- 6:19Speaker 2: because it's it's genuinely an olive branch, Like we're giving
- 6:22Speaker 2: them the cookies. We're saying, you know what, no beef
- 6:25Speaker 2: over here. We think you guys are great, here's some cookies.
- 6:28Speaker 2: But the thing is, if you give anybody anything on
- 6:30Speaker 2: April Fools, people get so paranoid that you've done something
- 6:33Speaker 2: to it. They're like, what what's happened to these cookies?
- 6:36Speaker 2: And so I thought the gag would be so funny
- 6:39Speaker 2: in the sense that they would be talking about how
- 6:41Speaker 2: paranoid they all were, that we like, what did we
- 6:44Speaker 2: do to these cookies?
- 6:45Speaker 1: What's in them? What did you guys put in them?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Why are you even delivering this? And why on April
- 6:50Speaker 1: Fools out of all the days that Yeah, no one
- 6:52Speaker 1: was going to touch them.
- 6:53Speaker 2: So the gag is you have all these cookies in
- 6:54Speaker 2: front in your studio, but no one's going to eat them,
- 6:57Speaker 2: or maybe somebody will eat them, and everyone's gonna, oh
- 6:59Speaker 2: my god, what's gonnappen to this for? So they've eaten it,
- 7:01Speaker 2: and how are Scotty and Abby and the Blackstims in it?
- 7:05Speaker 2: So then Scotty had a really great idea for the
- 7:07Speaker 2: card to make them even more paranoid. But again, paranoid
- 7:10Speaker 2: is a funny word to use for this, but again
- 7:12Speaker 2: it's harmless because we're really just wishing them well. So
- 7:15Speaker 2: Scotty was like, you should write on the card we
- 7:18Speaker 2: hope these cookies help you get started on your your
- 7:21Speaker 2: april started on a.
- 7:22Speaker 1: High, on a high. Yeah. So maybe they thought that
- 7:25Speaker 1: we slipped some weed, and they absolutely do, because on
- 7:27Speaker 1: that station they talk a lot about, you know, majuana,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and on that note, it's like you could already tell
- 7:33Speaker 1: because we in this morning, we got into the studio,
- 7:35Speaker 1: we put it on a chair and Abby like slid
- 7:38Speaker 1: it over in front of the in front of their
- 7:40Speaker 1: studio door, and like literally sprinted back. And as soon
- 7:43Speaker 1: as we heard the people walk out of the studio,
- 7:44Speaker 1: they're like, what.
- 7:46Speaker 3: The hell what is this?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Oh? And then I don't know, there's somebody in the
- 7:50Speaker 1: building that eats fish, and so all of a sudden
- 7:51Speaker 1: they're like, we why does.
- 7:52Speaker 3: It smell like fish?
- 7:53Speaker 1: And what is this note from magic? What? Why do
- 7:56Speaker 1: they give us what's in the plate? And so for
- 7:59Speaker 1: the past four hours all you hear in the hallway
- 8:02Speaker 1: is why does it smell lake fish? Why did magic
- 8:05Speaker 1: deliver us a gift? What the hell is up with
- 8:07Speaker 1: this note? And right before we jumped onto the podcast,
- 8:10Speaker 1: one of the members of the Bone, Monica, who's an
- 8:13Speaker 1: amazing human, stepped in and was like, guys, what the
- 8:18Speaker 1: hell's up with the plate?
- 8:20Speaker 2: They're really freaked out about the plate for some reason.
- 8:22Speaker 1: They haven't even looked in the plate so so far,
- 8:24Speaker 1: the guesses are that there's a fish on the plate
- 8:27Speaker 1: because the hallway smells like fish, because somebody else in
- 8:29Speaker 1: the building likes the microwave fish, which I believe is Drew,
- 8:31Speaker 1: another member of the Bone.
- 8:34Speaker 2: There really is like terrible microwave etiquette in this office.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You know, I am a fan.
- 8:38Speaker 1: This is gonna be a tangent for a second, don't
- 8:41Speaker 1: you You should be allowed to microwave whatever the hell
- 8:43Speaker 1: you want. I don't care that we're in an office.
- 8:45Speaker 1: It's your food, it's your lunch, and for the most
- 8:47Speaker 1: part those things are healthy.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Well, I think that is incredibly just respectful to everyone
- 8:52Speaker 2: around you. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
- 8:53Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like, just because you can
- 8:55Speaker 2: do something doesn't mean it's polite or cordial to other people.
- 8:59Speaker 1: What is the other am I not supposed to eat
- 9:01Speaker 1: eggs or fish.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Well you can bring it, but just don't microwave it.
- 9:03Speaker 3: How am I supposed to heat it up?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Well don't. That's the thing is, literally, there's so many
- 9:07Speaker 2: other things you can eat at the office or microwave it.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I don't know, Go find like a freaking cafeteria somewhere,
- 9:13Speaker 2: like I don't know, Like go sit it out in
- 9:15Speaker 2: the Florida sign. It's like ninety degrees outside today, Like,
- 9:17Speaker 2: just go sit it out there, or eat your fish cold.
- 9:19Speaker 2: It's what the Japanese have been doing for centuries, and
- 9:22Speaker 2: that's like the whole preminis of a sushi.
- 9:23Speaker 1: People love their cold fish. So anyway, now the whole
- 9:28Speaker 1: entire thought is on the bone that this is going
- 9:30Speaker 1: to be a plate of raw fish delivered in the
- 9:33Speaker 1: hallway with a note from Magic ninety four to nine
- 9:35Speaker 1: that hopes they get their april started on a high.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Oh so they haven't even opened They don't even know
- 9:39Speaker 2: what's in it yet. That's what I think is so fun. Oh,
- 9:41Speaker 2: they think something's going to jump out at that.
- 9:43Speaker 1: They think something's in there that's either going to get them.
- 9:45Speaker 1: They think it's a raw, nasty fish with that would
- 9:47Speaker 1: have been hilarious. But that what we wanted to do
- 9:49Speaker 1: is have the mind game. So now all day the
- 9:52Speaker 1: mind game is going to be why did magic give
- 9:54Speaker 1: us a note?
- 9:55Speaker 2: Also what is in there?
- 9:56Speaker 1: What's in the actual note? And then why does it
- 9:59Speaker 1: say we're going to get you started on a high?
- 10:02Speaker 1: And honestly, that would have been a really funny thing
- 10:04Speaker 1: too if we actually put something in the cookies so.
- 10:07Speaker 2: In the middle everyone's stoned.
- 10:09Speaker 1: That would have I mean, no, it's that's so illegal too, absolutely, so,
- 10:12Speaker 1: like just.
- 10:12Speaker 2: For clarification, they're literally they are untouched, untempered with Pillsbury
- 10:18Speaker 2: dough cookies.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And it's genius because the mental game, I think that's
- 10:22Speaker 1: the hardest part is do you trust it or not?
- 10:24Speaker 2: Well, because they're even I'm sure they'll listen to this
- 10:26Speaker 2: too and be like, no, I.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Don't trust them. I'm sure there are things there are still.
- 10:29Speaker 2: When I tell you, I literally got Pillsbury dough cookies,
- 10:31Speaker 2: I had a couple of myself, but I did not
- 10:33Speaker 2: touch those cookies. I baked them, I put them in
- 10:35Speaker 2: the plate. The plate just came from one of my cabinets,
- 10:39Speaker 2: the cupboards, cupboards or whatever. And then I wrapped it intoinfoil.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Did not lick them, do not sniff them. Literally just
- 10:47Speaker 2: bake the cookies. They are unadulterated.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And I love seeing how paranoid you get though, like
- 10:52Speaker 1: not you, but like how we get as humans, because
- 10:54Speaker 1: I've done it so many It's even last night. I'm
- 10:56Speaker 1: laying in bed and like, I'm right now dog watching
- 10:59Speaker 1: my ex girlfriend and I had a dog and so
- 11:01Speaker 1: she's out of town.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I'm watching the dog.
- 11:03Speaker 1: And if you just let one little thought creep into
- 11:05Speaker 1: your mind, because I'm like laying in the house alone
- 11:07Speaker 1: and i hear one little noise, I'm like kind of
- 11:09Speaker 1: falling asleep. I'm like ohm, And that thought turned into
- 11:13Speaker 1: somebody is in the house. Yeah, somebody got into the
- 11:15Speaker 1: house and now they're under the bed, and I'm like,
- 11:17Speaker 1: what do I do? Do I get up and go
- 11:19Speaker 1: find it? Is Coco the dog going to go attack it?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Am I even safer? Just this my doom of fate
- 11:24Speaker 1: just because of that one little thought, one little noise,
- 11:26Speaker 1: which is probably my phone playing music. All of a sudden,
- 11:29Speaker 1: it turned into somebody's in the house. They're gonna kill me.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Oh, I'm the same way. I freak out and I
- 11:32Speaker 2: think of all the worst case scenarios because I'm a lady,
- 11:34Speaker 2: so I obviously have a very extensive security system. So
- 11:37Speaker 2: I have a door jam I have.
- 11:39Speaker 1: She's got a Pazuka. She's got eighteen guard dogs Pazuka.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yeah, buzzka, you mean she's got she's got a firstly
- 11:49Speaker 2: base Pazuki. So yeah, I just love seeing them get paranoid.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I know how we as humans can get so paranoid
- 11:55Speaker 2: about the littlest things, and we all constantly are on
- 11:57Speaker 2: high alert because our nervous systems are trying to protect us.
- 12:00Speaker 2: But yeah, so when you guys at the Bone listen
- 12:02Speaker 2: to this, I just want you to know you let
- 12:04Speaker 2: some perfectly good cookies go to waste.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah, they're going to be in the trash later. And
- 12:07Speaker 1: that's the part that's heartbreaking. I'm like, nobody's evening. Who
- 12:10Speaker 1: those are some daring dudes over there. They will eat one.
- 12:12Speaker 1: It will be the one that you eat.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I think John Sending, will you think you let us
- 12:15Speaker 2: take a bet? Because right now it's nine eighteen, so
- 12:18Speaker 2: Calta is still on. Calta' is the morning show.
- 12:20Speaker 3: They're definitely gonna eat it because they don't do this
- 12:21Speaker 3: show here.
- 12:22Speaker 2: They don't even live, they're not even at the studio.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Nobody from the Mi Calta show is in today, which
- 12:25Speaker 2: I was kind of like, what the heck? So I
- 12:26Speaker 2: was kind of annoyed because I wanted it to be
- 12:28Speaker 2: like a thing all day that Carmen or whatever would
- 12:30Speaker 2: notice and be like, oh yeah, somebody love cookies here.
- 12:32Speaker 2: And then it just becomes a running thing on the bone,
- 12:35Speaker 2: like why would Magic leave these cookies? They talk about
- 12:37Speaker 2: the cookies, we see who finally takes a bite of
- 12:39Speaker 2: the cookies. Dizzy might have taken a bite of the cookies.
- 12:42Speaker 1: He might take a bite, And I'm curious who it
- 12:43Speaker 1: will be the one. And if you do nothing will happen.
- 12:46Speaker 1: You'll have a nice sweet treat.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Literally, nothing will happen.
- 12:48Speaker 1: You take a risk, it pays off. You get a
- 12:50Speaker 1: delicious cookie. Did you do pranks in the past?
- 12:52Speaker 3: Like were you? You're not a big prankster?
- 12:54Speaker 1: Are you?
- 12:54Speaker 3: No? I would ask, twist as your mind gets I.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Don't like a prank. I like a storyline, and this
- 12:59Speaker 2: to me is a story. Does that make sense?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yes, it's not like a one gotcha kind of moment.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't want to like, I'm not like
- 13:05Speaker 2: a whoopie cush cushion goal. I'm not gonna like slash
- 13:07Speaker 2: your tires. Oh my god, going to tpe your house.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I don't think that's funny. I think something where there's this,
- 13:13Speaker 2: there's a story attached to this. We were all in
- 13:15Speaker 2: a beef last week, and this is a fun way
- 13:18Speaker 2: to sort of just lighten the mood a little bit.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Absolutely, to show that we're in the game. Yes, we're cool,
- 13:23Speaker 3: no hard feelings, We're fine.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what kind of upset me. She came in
- 13:26Speaker 2: and she's like, well, I wanted to post this on
- 13:27Speaker 2: social media, but I didn't want you guys to get mad.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'm like, you guys, we're not mad. I just didn't
- 13:31Speaker 2: really appreciate being called a bitch.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Like that's really it.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Like, I'm fine, No, there's no beef here, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 2: just there's nothing wrong with posting on social media. Yeah,
- 13:41Speaker 2: when there's good, when we're when we're playing, we're playing.
- 13:44Speaker 3: That's the whole point.
- 13:45Speaker 1: We're able to have some banter back and forth and
- 13:48Speaker 1: having a little fun with it too. But I will
- 13:50Speaker 1: say once that can is open, I have seen the
- 13:53Speaker 1: things that they have done over in that studio.
- 13:55Speaker 2: We have we open Pindora's Box.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I think in an innocent way, but like they have
- 14:00Speaker 1: brought up gosh like wild animals.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Into that studio.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Oh my god, They've had straight up wrestling matches into
- 14:07Speaker 1: that studio, like things that I didn't even get to
- 14:09Speaker 1: experience because right before I got hired here, I got
- 14:11Speaker 1: to hear all the horror stories and the best way
- 14:13Speaker 1: possible about some of the bits and segments that they've
- 14:15Speaker 1: done on that show and on that station, which I'm like, y'all,
- 14:18Speaker 1: that is some freaky deeky stuff that y'all have done.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It just makes me wonder what will we have coming next?
- 14:25Speaker 1: Because I could see them if they did the same thing,
- 14:27Speaker 1: they would have put something in the cookies that we
- 14:28Speaker 1: would have been sitting here doing the podcast stoned off
- 14:31Speaker 1: our ass.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Here's the thing.
- 14:32Speaker 2: We would have sat here and gone, yeah, there's something else.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:36Speaker 2: But because it's coming from us, open mouth, Sally and
- 14:38Speaker 2: open mouth, what's my name?
- 14:41Speaker 3: Oh god?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Oh no, you're your captain Sabah and I'm four girl
- 14:44Speaker 2: for now.
- 14:45Speaker 1: That's what they posted it.
- 14:46Speaker 2: For those of you who didn't see it, they made
- 14:47Speaker 2: an ai meme of us because somebody on that station
- 14:50Speaker 2: called him Captain Sabah because he came into the bone
- 14:53Speaker 2: and was like defending my honor. And then I posted
- 14:56Speaker 2: an Instagram where I was like, it's fine if you
- 14:58Speaker 2: call me a six, Like it's not a big deal
- 15:00Speaker 2: because we had really good radians this month. And then
- 15:05Speaker 2: they decided to demote me from a six to a
- 15:06Speaker 2: four weeks.
- 15:07Speaker 3: But then I saw on Instagram you got you got
- 15:09Speaker 3: promoted to? Was it an eight?
- 15:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you got upgraded.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I think that was probably corporate, corporate sanctioned.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You don't think it was just because you guys are
- 15:18Speaker 1: rocking in at the tub club.
- 15:20Speaker 2: No, I think we're all just extending alive branches to
- 15:23Speaker 2: each other.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Everyone's like I'm sorry, I'm sorry too, but we still
- 15:26Speaker 1: want to have the fight. We still want to have
- 15:28Speaker 1: the battle.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I think it's just fun, just like poke like don't
- 15:30Speaker 2: do anything, like don't put conchroaches in here. But you know,
- 15:33Speaker 2: I think it's fun to kind of poke back and
- 15:34Speaker 2: forth a little bit.
- 15:35Speaker 1: That it's harmless.
- 15:36Speaker 2: They're just cookies. There's nothing wrong.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Just cookies.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Now they actually legit are just cookies.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Now.
- 15:43Speaker 1: We used to do you don't do any like scare wars.
- 15:45Speaker 1: We used to do that where it's like this complete
- 15:47Speaker 1: jump out of your skin kind of deal. I've walked in.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I had roommates that set up like clean paper on
- 15:53Speaker 1: the door where it's like you're locked into the room
- 15:55Speaker 1: or you don't even see it and you walk right
- 15:57Speaker 1: through it. And then I know a lot of people
- 15:58Speaker 1: do like the cling paper on like your toilet seat.
- 16:01Speaker 1: That's a big one.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the one we you pee and it just
- 16:04Speaker 3: goes everywhere.
- 16:05Speaker 1: You know.
- 16:05Speaker 2: It was a jump scare though?
- 16:06Speaker 1: Is that?
- 16:06Speaker 2: John Senny listened to our podcast.
- 16:08Speaker 3: That was an interesting message.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And I told you this.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I'm like, you will always be surprised who tunes into
- 16:13Speaker 2: the to your episodes.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I was telling somebody that the other day and they're like,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I can't listen to you. I'm too close to you.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I don't want to see that side. And I was like,
- 16:20Speaker 1: why I do this for entertainment, but they're like, nope,
- 16:23Speaker 1: because you're on a different level and I like to
- 16:25Speaker 1: see the real person. I'm like, this is really me.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm just I'm in entertainment Scott mode. Yeah, sometimes you
- 16:30Speaker 1: see me on just like chilling walking down a street mode.
- 16:32Speaker 2: I feel like the podcast is the most normal we are.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Amen. Yeah, And I get mad because people will be like, well,
- 16:38Speaker 1: why didn't you tell me about that. I'm like, I
- 16:40Speaker 1: don't know. I just get more open behind a mic. Yeah,
- 16:42Speaker 1: or conversations are flowing.
- 16:43Speaker 2: You're literally forced to talk for an hour, so then
- 16:46Speaker 2: things you go, oh my god, I forgot about that,
- 16:47Speaker 2: forget about that, forget about that. Mm hmm.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Well, I hope that person ends up listening.
- 16:50Speaker 1: But I'm sure at this point maybe it's just John,
- 16:53Speaker 1: But I don't know if the other members of our
- 16:55Speaker 1: sister station The Bone listen. Oh, they're for sure listening,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you think, so, well, now they're going to listen because
- 17:00Speaker 1: they need to pull clips.
- 17:02Speaker 2: They're talking shit again.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Well, we're one of the other things that I wanted
- 17:06Speaker 1: to mention too. And I want to bring Alexia in
- 17:08Speaker 1: for this as well, because I heard on the show
- 17:11Speaker 1: yesterday she was doing how she I don't think she
- 17:15Speaker 1: ever got to experience a prom and there's a very
- 17:18Speaker 1: scandalous reason to why did she.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Get kicked out of her prom? Is that what this
- 17:22Speaker 2: is about.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I don't know why, though, Like she wasn't she wasn't
- 17:25Speaker 1: even brought into prom. I think she was kicked out
- 17:27Speaker 1: of school. Oh my god, that's what I'm saying. So
- 17:29Speaker 1: we're gonna have to bring her in there for that.
- 17:31Speaker 1: But it didn't remind me that were in prom season.
- 17:34Speaker 1: And so maybe you're listening to this and you have
- 17:36Speaker 1: kids that are getting ready for prom. But I also
- 17:38Speaker 1: want you to remember back to your prom because I
- 17:40Speaker 1: had some ridiculous prom memories of like the most dramatic
- 17:46Speaker 1: high school relationship bs that would be worse than the
- 17:49Speaker 1: Jersey Shore.
- 17:50Speaker 2: So did you have one or two proms?
- 17:52Speaker 1: I did too.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we had two problems. We had junior and we
- 17:54Speaker 2: had senior Prom, and so I went to junior prom.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I did not go to senior prom, so I have
- 17:58Speaker 2: no memories of senior Prom. But Junior Prom. The only
- 18:02Speaker 2: thing dramatic that happened is I went with a group
- 18:05Speaker 2: of girls and I just wore like this random dress
- 18:08Speaker 2: I had gotten from Dillard's because my mom didn't want
- 18:10Speaker 2: to splurge on a second dress because she had bought
- 18:12Speaker 2: me one for this pageant I was in a long
- 18:15Speaker 2: story short, I did a high school pageant. Every high
- 18:17Speaker 2: school in Jacksonville will do a miss pageant, so like
- 18:20Speaker 2: miss blah blah blah high School, Miss blah, and so
- 18:22Speaker 2: I was Miss Creekside High School. So I won that
- 18:25Speaker 2: year and I had this beautiful gold, shimmering.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Sherry Hill dress.
- 18:28Speaker 2: It was fabulous, but I didn't want to rewar it
- 18:30Speaker 2: for prom because it was kind of big, and I
- 18:31Speaker 2: was like, this isn't like a prom dress, and so
- 18:33Speaker 2: I just got some random dress from Dillards. Anyway, all
- 18:35Speaker 2: this to say is and this arch nemesis in high
- 18:38Speaker 2: school who just hated me. That's a whole other sort
- 18:40Speaker 2: of tale I do not need to get into. Long
- 18:41Speaker 2: story short is this she friaking hates me. So I
- 18:45Speaker 2: show up to prom and I'm kind of minding my
- 18:47Speaker 2: own business, which is the moral of the story. I
- 18:49Speaker 2: just I don't really want to get into fights. I
- 18:51Speaker 2: just kind of mind my own business. It exists, and
- 18:54Speaker 2: then people want to start priks with me. So I'm
- 18:56Speaker 2: at prom and I'm like at the like the mac
- 18:59Speaker 2: and cheese or something, Maggie, and I'm looking to my
- 19:02Speaker 2: right and this girl is trying to like make a
- 19:04Speaker 2: point of sort of getting into my line of vision.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Maybe I'm putting too much into this, but I kind
- 19:08Speaker 2: of look over to her right and I see she's
- 19:10Speaker 2: wearing the dress that I wore at my pageant that
- 19:14Speaker 2: she went too, specifically to talk shit about me.
- 19:17Speaker 3: She went to your pageant to talk shit.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yes, so like they when I won, they stormed out
- 19:21Speaker 2: of that auditorium, just like enrage. They were so kissed
- 19:24Speaker 2: that I want. And so then she wore that dress,
- 19:28Speaker 2: granted in a different color, but she wore that dress
- 19:30Speaker 2: to prom and I was like, why is this girl
- 19:31Speaker 2: trying to get up in my business? I was like, oh,
- 19:33Speaker 2: she's trying to show me that she's wearing the dress.
- 19:35Speaker 2: And I was like, I literally don't care.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Why don't I she do that? That's the compliment to you.
- 19:39Speaker 1: You literally liked my dress so much that you're wearing
- 19:41Speaker 1: it to prom.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Well. I don't know if she wanted to like up
- 19:44Speaker 2: show me, like, oh, she thought I was gonna wear
- 19:46Speaker 2: that dress to prompt, so she didn't she wanted me
- 19:49Speaker 2: to maybe feel like a loser for having the same
- 19:51Speaker 2: dress as somebody else. I don't know, And you know what,
- 19:53Speaker 2: maybe it actually was totally unintentional.
- 19:55Speaker 3: I don't think I was, but you're usually your guts
- 19:58Speaker 3: kind of right.
- 19:59Speaker 2: But I remember kind of think like, okay, like you
- 20:02Speaker 2: wear the dress too, Like I don't really, I don't
- 20:03Speaker 2: really understand what kind of win you thought this was
- 20:05Speaker 2: gonna be.
- 20:06Speaker 3: That is so awkward.
- 20:07Speaker 1: It's like, how much effort are you put it into
- 20:09Speaker 1: getting my attention and trying to bash me?
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 20:11Speaker 1: And I think I obviously we all deal with that
- 20:13Speaker 1: when we're young, because it's either you or somebody doing
- 20:15Speaker 1: it to you, and you look back and you're like,
- 20:17Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I put so much energy in this
- 20:20Speaker 1: somebody else, whether it's a partnership or some weird rivalry.
- 20:24Speaker 1: You guys never made up, never had a conversation, never
- 20:27Speaker 1: had a like.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Olive branch moment.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Absolutely never.
- 20:29Speaker 3: No, absolutely, Okay, So did you go with a date
- 20:32Speaker 3: to prom junior year?
- 20:34Speaker 2: Now? I went with girls the first year, and then
- 20:36Speaker 2: I wanted to be a cheerleater at UF really badly,
- 20:39Speaker 2: and so I skipped my senior prom to go to
- 20:42Speaker 2: those tryouts and then I got cut night one. I
- 20:44Speaker 2: was really bad, but I really didn't regret not going
- 20:47Speaker 2: because I didn't have like a boyfriend. And honestly, my
- 20:49Speaker 2: high school experience senior year was awful because I've said
- 20:54Speaker 2: situation being those girls, not necessarily just with her, but
- 20:57Speaker 2: the drama that it caused throughout my life and then
- 21:00Speaker 2: just sort of other things that followed.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I was like, I hate it here.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I don't want to go. I don't want to go
- 21:04Speaker 2: hang out with those people who I don't really care about,
- 21:06Speaker 2: Like I just want to go to college. So for me,
- 21:08Speaker 2: I was like, I'm just gonna skip seen your prom
- 21:09Speaker 2: and then call it today.
- 21:10Speaker 3: That makes sense, junior problem.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Did you all do like a limo and like dinner
- 21:14Speaker 1: before and all that stuff, like the traditional stuff.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we went to like a Mexican restaurant and went
- 21:18Speaker 2: to prom and it was fine. I mean, I don't
- 21:19Speaker 2: look back on it and go, wow.
- 21:21Speaker 1: You know what's interesting about problems, Like I don't remember
- 21:23Speaker 1: the actual prom side of it. I remember all the
- 21:25Speaker 1: build up to it. I remember all the drama afterwards.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But like I was thinking about this the other day,
- 21:29Speaker 1: I was like, what happened in actual promp Like I
- 21:31Speaker 1: couldn't even remember where it was we.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Read that drunk? Did you also did you prompose to
- 21:37Speaker 2: a girl?
- 21:37Speaker 1: Yes? Oh my god?
- 21:38Speaker 2: How did you? I feel like you probably had the
- 21:40Speaker 2: most epic of promposals.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Well, I had one where I got in the middle
- 21:44Speaker 1: of the high school, like I made a whole poster
- 21:47Speaker 1: and I'll just put this in for I think it
- 21:49Speaker 1: was homecoming actually where it's like I made the poster,
- 21:52Speaker 1: had it written out. There was this girl that I
- 21:54Speaker 1: was talking to at the time. I believe her name
- 21:55Speaker 1: was I don't care. I don't think she's gonna hear this,
- 21:57Speaker 1: but you'd be surprised. I want to say those packs
- 22:00Speaker 1: something like that. She was so cute and I was
- 22:03Speaker 1: so excited and so in the middle of the hallway,
- 22:05Speaker 1: had a whole moment in high school. I was like,
- 22:08Speaker 1: will you go with me? And in front of everyone,
- 22:10Speaker 1: she said yes, and I was like, this is so cool,
- 22:14Speaker 1: only for her to tell me later in the day
- 22:16Speaker 1: absolutely not, I'm going with somebody else.
- 22:17Speaker 2: No.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Well, at least she didn't embarrass you in front of everybody.
- 22:20Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 22:21Speaker 1: But the gut feeling that I got, oh no, I
- 22:23Speaker 1: think that's where it all started of like Scott, you're
- 22:25Speaker 1: not enough.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Who's she going with?
- 22:27Speaker 1: She went was probably some dude named Cole. I don't remember.
- 22:30Speaker 3: I was just so a heartbroken that I was like,
- 22:32Speaker 3: is like.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Her boyfriend or I think it was just some other dude.
- 22:35Speaker 3: I don't know if they ever ended up dating.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I just remember like I thought her and I had
- 22:38Speaker 1: a thing, and I thought she was damn at hurt.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I was like, hurt. You literally picked another guy over me.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Talk about feeling worthless. It was fine, but for prom,
- 22:48Speaker 1: Oh my god, I don't think I remember. I think
- 22:50Speaker 1: I did it with just the boys, and I've probably
- 22:52Speaker 1: showed up at the house with a big sign, but
- 22:54Speaker 1: I remember, you know, I had to go and sit
- 22:57Speaker 1: in with my girlfriend's dad as he opened the door
- 22:59Speaker 1: with the shot gun.
- 23:00Speaker 2: M h.
- 23:01Speaker 1: He had the conversation with me as he held the
- 23:03Speaker 1: shotgun in his hand.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Are you being facetious?
- 23:05Speaker 1: I'm being so one real that he held an actual
- 23:09Speaker 1: shotgun as he gave me the talk of taking his
- 23:12Speaker 1: daughter out to prom.
- 23:13Speaker 3: See, there's sides of.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Vero Beats that are like like that, Like there's southern sides,
- 23:17Speaker 1: there's beach sides, there's a little tiny city side. Well
- 23:21Speaker 1: I got the good sight of the southern side. I
- 23:23Speaker 1: had multiple fathers open their door with the shotgun. That
- 23:26Speaker 1: was just one, which.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Is so funny to you, Like, you're just like you're
- 23:31Speaker 2: so nice.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I know, but I also I'm not gonna do the
- 23:35Speaker 1: same thing as a dad because I don't know if
- 23:37Speaker 1: that was necessarily the best thing.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Because you're not going to bring your glockout.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I was about to.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Piss my pants. I was so scared. But he sat down.
- 23:43Speaker 1: We had a good conversation, but that gun never left
- 23:45Speaker 1: his side. I was like, what are you gonna do? Shoot?
- 23:47Speaker 2: Wait, what did he say, like, don't bone my daughter tonight?
- 23:50Speaker 1: I think he just said, I want you all to
- 23:52Speaker 1: have a good night. I want you all to make
- 23:54Speaker 1: sure you respect my daughter, you treat her right, and
- 23:56Speaker 1: you have her home on time. He said, sir, yes,
- 23:59Speaker 1: freaking sir, absolutely, and away we went. And I believe
- 24:03Speaker 1: that prom the first one. We had a whole group
- 24:05Speaker 1: of friends that we had so much drama in the
- 24:08Speaker 1: group that we were kicked out of it, Like we
- 24:10Speaker 1: weren't even allowed to ride in the little party bus.
- 24:13Speaker 1: It was gonna be my first party bus experience.
- 24:14Speaker 2: What was the drama A friend group?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Like the girls did not get along. They just they
- 24:19Speaker 1: started some bullshit and there's.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Always something going.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'm like, why can't we all just have fun? Well,
- 24:24Speaker 1: the dudes like that's like the dudes are like, yo,
- 24:26Speaker 1: like what's going on? Like all of our girlfriends are
- 24:28Speaker 1: had like the biggest beef with each other, and so
- 24:30Speaker 1: they're talking shit between each other and behind each other's backs.
- 24:33Speaker 3: They're screaming at each other.
- 24:34Speaker 1: We go do photos together, but me and my girlfriend
- 24:36Speaker 1: at the time, since there's so much beef between her
- 24:39Speaker 1: and another girl who actually, like I guess family made
- 24:42Speaker 1: the party bus happen, we weren't allowed on so instead,
- 24:46Speaker 1: Actually this was super romantic of me. I drove my
- 24:48Speaker 1: little jeep Liberty over to like this gazebo and downtown
- 24:52Speaker 1: Vo and I had a speaker, I set up lights
- 24:56Speaker 1: and candles, I brought flowers, and I gave us a
- 24:59Speaker 1: little moment where we could have like I don't know,
- 25:00Speaker 1: maybe a little dinner in the gazebo and we did
- 25:03Speaker 1: like a little dance in it or something like that
- 25:05Speaker 1: like a movie, which you realize, like movie moments are
- 25:08Speaker 1: so much more romantic than those moments, because I was like,
- 25:10Speaker 1: all right, well that's five minutes. Now what we do?
- 25:12Speaker 1: Can you stare at each other? Now? We just hang
- 25:14Speaker 1: out and there's probably tears because we weren't allowed to
- 25:17Speaker 1: be with our friends. On the actual day, I was
- 25:19Speaker 1: upset because I'm like, why couldn't you guys put your
- 25:21Speaker 1: beef down for a second so we could all get together.
- 25:23Speaker 1: It'd been so fun on the party bus, but instead
- 25:26Speaker 1: I tried to make the most of it. But then
- 25:28Speaker 1: that night the drama just continued, Like I don't remember
- 25:30Speaker 1: prom I don't think I was drunk, But afterwards the
- 25:33Speaker 1: drama just continued at like a hotel room and relationships
- 25:37Speaker 1: breaking up and then coming back together in weird ways.
- 25:40Speaker 1: And you're like, y'all, these are supposed to be like
- 25:43Speaker 1: such happy times. And I say that because so many
- 25:46Speaker 1: it's such a big deal at that age that we
- 25:48Speaker 1: end up ruining it with the drama that we cause
- 25:51Speaker 1: and how high of a stake that we put on it.
- 25:53Speaker 1: You hype up much, hype it up way too much.
- 25:55Speaker 2: For objectively one of the worst parties you'll go to
- 25:58Speaker 2: in your life.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Very plain again, like I don't remember actual proms, Like
- 26:01Speaker 1: I just kind of worry something.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I can think of frat basements. I had more fun
- 26:04Speaker 2: and then I did it.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Prom absolutely going into an apartment in college like that
- 26:08Speaker 1: first year.
- 26:09Speaker 2: And sophomore year. Yeah, everyone hypes up freshman year. I
- 26:13Speaker 2: thought sophomore year was so much more fun.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I partied my face off freshman year of college. Yeah,
- 26:19Speaker 1: I like that one more because like by sophomore year,
- 26:22Speaker 1: I was kind of already getting a little more serious.
- 26:25Speaker 1: But freshman year like the first like summer I go in.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I'll never forget, like going into that first apartment where
- 26:30Speaker 1: you're like packed in like sardines, you have no idea
- 26:33Speaker 1: who each other are. You're in somebody's random, literal living space. Yeah,
- 26:36Speaker 1: it could never be me. Whoever did that? Respect to
- 26:39Speaker 1: you for allowing that many strangers because we would steal stuff,
- 26:42Speaker 1: we would take all of their alcohol, and then you
- 26:45Speaker 1: leave and the cops come. Everyone breaks up and you're
- 26:47Speaker 1: hopping over fences and trying to get home. Like those
- 26:50Speaker 1: are memories that I wish I had more of as
- 26:53Speaker 1: and I wish I remembered more of the day, But
- 26:55Speaker 1: those are such fun ones.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I'd like the freshman year more than sophomore year.
- 26:58Speaker 2: So freshman year I was kind of going through some
- 27:00Speaker 2: I had our time adjustine, I think to college life.
- 27:03Speaker 2: And also freshman year I didn't do anything crazy at
- 27:06Speaker 2: the parties or like the houses, like we weren't stealing
- 27:08Speaker 2: stuff like that wasn't ourm although I do think everybody
- 27:11Speaker 2: wanted to steal a composite at one point, Like I
- 27:12Speaker 2: think that was like the thing to.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Do, like a composite picture, like like a frat composite.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Like the big ass picture, like all the okay, yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Like the yearbook photos. But I do remember I was
- 27:22Speaker 2: at this one this is this is summer beach. I
- 27:24Speaker 2: didn't steal anything, but I do remember I was like
- 27:27Speaker 2: ravenously hungry, and I was going through like a binge
- 27:30Speaker 2: eating disorder phase. And somebody had fig Newtons in their country,
- 27:34Speaker 2: and I ate the entire box of fig Newtons, and
- 27:37Speaker 2: I just remember at some I think the guy's name
- 27:40Speaker 2: is Ryan. Ryan at one point goes.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Who late all my fings?
- 27:45Speaker 2: And I'm just sitting there and I'm like one hundred pounds.
- 27:46Speaker 2: At this point, I'm like, certainly not me. Could not
- 27:49Speaker 2: be me, the person with no body fat until tomorrow
- 27:52Speaker 2: when all these fig Newtons catch up to me.
- 27:54Speaker 1: There used to be so many things stolen from our
- 27:56Speaker 1: house that you would see like in chats later, not
- 27:58Speaker 1: pictures necessarily, but people would steal things from people's rooms,
- 28:01Speaker 1: like chairs. I think they would steal obviously close items.
- 28:05Speaker 1: People tried to steal pets. At some point, like things
- 28:08Speaker 1: got very rowdy, like I used to go. I went
- 28:11Speaker 1: hard in like high school, not good on me, but
- 28:13Speaker 1: by college I was kind of taking a step back
- 28:16Speaker 1: while other people were ramping all the way up. And
- 28:19Speaker 1: you got to see that in full fledged force in
- 28:22Speaker 1: like freshman and sophomore year. Hopefully by you junior year,
- 28:25Speaker 1: people like chilled out a little bit. Yeah, but to
- 28:27Speaker 1: see people wild out like.
- 28:28Speaker 2: That, God, it's like freshman and sophomore your party years,
- 28:31Speaker 2: and then junior senior year it's kind of like, Okay,
- 28:33Speaker 2: we'll go to a bar.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Absolutely, we'll go and have a nice casual Friday night,
- 28:36Speaker 1: a happy hour.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll go enjoy that something chill.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Now I'm very curious because if those are the things
- 28:42Speaker 1: that I didn't get kicked out of school, did you
- 28:44Speaker 1: do a senior prank?
- 28:47Speaker 2: I think we did, but I don't think it was
- 28:48Speaker 2: very cool. Again, it's kind of like corporate, like they
- 28:50Speaker 2: wanted to be so above board that it's like not
- 28:52Speaker 2: even fun at that point.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Well, now, horrible things happened, But I remember, like before
- 28:55Speaker 1: I got to my high school I think they put
- 28:57Speaker 1: a bowl in the hallway because we used to have
- 28:58Speaker 1: a bowl on campus.
- 29:00Speaker 3: I think that one went viral.
- 29:01Speaker 1: It was like on there's the show that was like
- 29:03Speaker 1: high school pranks or something on IMTV, and it was
- 29:05Speaker 1: our high school and they put a bowl in.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I think my brother's here might have released a bunch
- 29:09Speaker 2: of pigs.
- 29:10Speaker 1: That's ridiculous, Yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 2: But I don't. I think they like shut it down
- 29:13Speaker 2: to meet, Like I think they immediately got the pigs out.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yeah, within a minute or two. They Yeah. They used
- 29:17Speaker 1: to do easy ones like fork the field and that
- 29:20Speaker 1: was easy. I didn't do it because I didn't want
- 29:22Speaker 1: to get expelled. I was so worried about trying to
- 29:24Speaker 1: get into college that I didn't get into the college
- 29:25Speaker 1: that I wanted. But I was still worried at the
- 29:26Speaker 1: time that all these things were going to come back
- 29:29Speaker 1: and haunt me. And I was also talking to a
- 29:30Speaker 1: friend that I used to like do all their senior skips, and.
- 29:33Speaker 3: I didn't do any of them.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Did you skip?
- 29:35Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, because I remember that was a big thing
- 29:37Speaker 2: that you were going to get in huge trouble if
- 29:39Speaker 2: you skipped.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yeah, So I didn't.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I was like, I gotta get in gott to get
- 29:42Speaker 1: into college. So I didn't take it the opportunity maybe once.
- 29:46Speaker 2: What was so annoyed about I think this is what
- 29:48Speaker 2: happened is our senior skip day. I don't think I
- 29:50Speaker 2: was allowed to skip. But then what was so annoying
- 29:52Speaker 2: is all the teachers knew that everybody was skipping, and
- 29:55Speaker 2: so they we just didn't do anything all day, and
- 29:57Speaker 2: so I'm like, why did I come to school?
- 29:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you have just taking that off the calendar.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I know.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I would have much rather it's fun to do it rebelliously,
- 30:04Speaker 1: not when everyone's in on the idea senior skip days,
- 30:06Speaker 1: we're actually gonna make it a day. No, I'd like
- 30:08Speaker 1: it when it's like, all right, seniors, we're going out
- 30:10Speaker 1: to the beach and we're partying and it's gonna be
- 30:12Speaker 1: a great time and nobody's gonna know, and your teacher's
- 30:14Speaker 1: gonna get there and be like, where's everybody at.
- 30:17Speaker 2: We didn't have that sense of community at our school,
- 30:19Speaker 2: Like it was very clicky, very divided, Like we weren't
- 30:22Speaker 2: all like a gung ho like we we love each other.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I feel like we're pretty dipe, Like everybody got along
- 30:27Speaker 1: pretty well. I would say, I'm sure there's other pockets
- 30:28Speaker 1: of people that'd be like, I hated my high school
- 30:30Speaker 1: experience because everyone was a jerk and probably look at
- 30:31Speaker 1: me as I was a jerk too. I try to
- 30:33Speaker 1: be friends with everybody.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you just are friends with everybody, So
- 30:36Speaker 2: I think maybe you have a very like specific experience.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Absolutely, I have a very biased view of the high
- 30:40Speaker 1: school experience. I thought, all right, I'm not like necessarily
- 30:43Speaker 1: part of the cool, cool, rich kids, but I'm not
- 30:46Speaker 1: not part of them. I could talk to them, but
- 30:47Speaker 1: I can also talk about the kids, you know that
- 30:49Speaker 1: feel like maybe they're not even part of any group.
- 30:51Speaker 3: I'll go talk to.
- 30:51Speaker 1: All of them too. And in between her and it,
- 30:54Speaker 1: well that thing. Now I feel like kind of like
- 30:56Speaker 1: a loser, not an in between her. I'm like, you're middleman,
- 30:59Speaker 1: like I could talk everybody.
- 31:00Speaker 2: You're in between Damn, It's all right.
- 31:02Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 31:02Speaker 1: But I say that because I want to know what
- 31:04Speaker 1: Alexia's high school experience was.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Like, Oh, Alexi was probably cool, book.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Absolutely cool in Miami. Yeah, oh, we're going to talk
- 31:12Speaker 1: to her next. But I want you know, if you
- 31:13Speaker 1: have a cool prom story. I'm very curious on what
- 31:15Speaker 1: it was like and the drama that came from it,
- 31:17Speaker 1: because as we've entered that era, I'm already I was
- 31:20Speaker 1: at the dinner this past weekend and I saw a
- 31:22Speaker 1: bunch of different kids like dressed up getting ready for
- 31:24Speaker 1: their prom. I'm like, you know, I hope it is
- 31:26Speaker 1: a memorable, an amazing, drama free night.
- 31:30Speaker 2: The other crazy thing is the fashion has changed so
- 31:32Speaker 2: much with the girls. Whereas I remember in the nineties
- 31:34Speaker 2: the girls I looked up to, like you wanted to
- 31:37Speaker 2: wear like a big pink ball gown, like a hot
- 31:39Speaker 2: pink ball gown. Whereas now the girls are wearing like
- 31:43Speaker 2: sun dresses, like wearing brunch dresses to prom. That's the
- 31:46Speaker 2: thing now.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Is everything it feels more casual.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Everyone's too cool for school.
- 31:51Speaker 1: They're more detached.
- 31:51Speaker 3: You know, I don't even I have no idea what
- 31:53Speaker 3: the dudes were.
- 31:54Speaker 1: But we wore tucks, like a whole thing, a tug
- 31:56Speaker 1: with a bow tie and a little like vest thing. Yeah,
- 31:58Speaker 1: and we rented it and didn't have the buy nothing.
- 32:00Speaker 2: And you had to get the vest to match the girl.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Yes, and they do the whole crossage. Oh my gosh.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I was looking at pictures and I was like, damn,
- 32:07Speaker 1: we looked good. Yeah, put together? Hell yeah, oh no,
- 32:11Speaker 1: little kid. But I don't know what they're wearing now
- 32:13Speaker 1: if it's just like a suit. But I'm pretty sure
- 32:15Speaker 1: dudes are still wearing the suit and the tie and
- 32:16Speaker 1: the bow tie or the vest.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I think so. But I think the girls are dressing
- 32:19Speaker 2: it down.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Now, more casual, more cash.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Couldn't be us in our Cherry Hill will seek win
- 32:24Speaker 2: dresses from head to toe.
- 32:25Speaker 1: We had a lot of girls that did, like Lily
- 32:26Speaker 1: Pullets the pets, not for prom necessarily, but like the
- 32:30Speaker 1: fashion was still pretty high, especially for the girls that
- 32:32Speaker 1: lived on like the Island that was like the big look.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Lily Pulitzer was big when I was in high school.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Tory Birch, Tory Birch was huge, and then.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I can Tory Burch is still a massive one. Tory
- 32:44Speaker 1: Birch is still big.
- 32:45Speaker 2: But I think the big ones now are Love Shack,
- 32:47Speaker 2: Fancy for Love and Lemons, like those kind of coquette
- 32:51Speaker 2: girly pop. See.
- 32:53Speaker 3: I have no idea what those brands are looking up girlfriend. No, okay, well.
- 32:57Speaker 1: We'll get Alexi on next to talk about hers, and
- 33:00Speaker 1: we'll see where it goes Abby.
- 33:02Speaker 3: What's your social media.
- 33:03Speaker 2: At the abbey move?
- 33:05Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, what a day.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I know. I've had a long.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Day at Scott's tabling his mind in that magic ninety
- 33:10Speaker 1: four to nine to catch up on all the stations.
- 33:13Speaker 1: And also we got to see what ends up happening
- 33:14Speaker 1: with our war that has begun with the bone on pranks.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Yeah, we gotta go see if they took if they
- 33:19Speaker 2: finally took the the cookies.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Just eat one, you'll be fine.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Should we eat one? No,
