  Exodus chapter 35, let us pray. Our Father who's in heaven.

  We thank you God for another day to come and to worship you in
• 0:10
  spirit and truth. We thank you, God, for your Son
• 0:14
  Jesus Christ dying on the cross for us so long ago.
• 0:17
  Thank you God, for covering us in the blood.
• 0:21
  Thank you for allowing us to stand in your presence.
• 0:24
  Lord, we enter in with clean hands and a pure heart.
• 0:29
  God, we enter in with praise and Thanksgiving.
• 0:33
  God, we stand boldly upon the throne of grace.
• 0:37
  God, we thank you for allowing us to come in, Lord, not as
• 0:41
  servants, but as friends. Thank you, God, for rescuing us
• 0:45
  from ourselves. Thank you, God, from rescuing us
• 0:49
  from the depravity of humanity. God, the futility of all of our
• 0:54
  shortcomings, all of our trespasses.
• 0:56
  God, thank you for the man, and thank you for the quail.
• 0:59
  Thank you, God, for the Rhema. Thank you for the Logos.

  Thank you, God, that you have given us your word.
• 1:06
  We dine upon it. We eat sumptuously, God, we
• 1:11
  feast upon it because God, we know that it is life.
• 1:15
  And so, Lord, we step into the abundant life today, God, for
• 1:19
  you are life and you are truth, Lord.
• 1:21
  And so we attach ourselves to you, Yahweh, everlasting, the
• 1:26
  God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Lord, teach us your ways.
• 1:31
  Lord, show us the path that we should go on.
• 1:34
  Light it up, Father. Light up the path so that we can
• 1:37
  find it, so that we can walk in it.
• 1:39
  God, help us not to veer off to the left or to the right.
• 1:43
  Help us, God, to stay on track. Help us to stay on course, help
• 1:47
  us to finish well. Help us to love you more Father,
• 1:50
  than we do. Expand our heart and our minds.
• 1:53
  Help us to take it all in. We scarcely can take it all in
• 1:57
  Father. It is so over abundant,
• 2:01
  encompassing Lord. It surrounds us on all sides.
• 2:05
  It is our rear guard and our right guard.
• 2:08
  It's our front guard, God, and our left guard.
• 2:11
  You are high above us Lord, and we are yours.
• 2:15
  We are your laid down lovers. God, we want more of you.
• 2:19
  We fall in love with you. We just want a touch today, a
• 2:24
  touch from the hem of your garment.
• 2:26
  God, I pray for healing today. Lord, I pray for restoration
• 2:31
  today. God, I pray for reconciliation
• 2:34
  today. God, I pray that you'll continue
• 2:37
  to carve out the things that don't belong.
• 2:39
  Help us to see you high and lifted up above all government
• 2:43
  and entities and all principalities.
• 2:45
  God, help us not to be steeped and overcome in the culture of
• 2:49
  the world, but help us, God, to be in the world but not of the
• 2:53
  world, for we love you, King Jesus.
• 2:55
  It's all about you, King Jesus, Holy Spirit, come and teach us.
• 3:00
  Holy Spirit, give us discernment.
• 3:02
  Holy Spirit, correct US. Holy Spirit, I pray that you'll
• 3:07
  increase as I decrease. We love you in King Jesus holy
• 3:11
  and precious and powerful name. I pray, Amen.

  Let's start in verse one. And Moses gathered all the
• 3:21
  congregation of the children of Israel together and said to
• 3:25
  them, these are the words which the Lord has commanded that you
• 3:29
  should do them. So we're going to talk about the
• 3:32
  Sabbath here. It's going to be re emphasized.
• 3:35
  And for the next little bit, you're going to see a lot of the
• 3:38
  same things repeated. And God knows that we need
• 3:42
  repetition. That's the reason that He gave
• 3:44
  us so many of the same stories over and over and over and over,
• 3:50
  because He wants you to memorize them, to hide them in your heart
• 3:54
  so that you might not sin against.
• 3:57
  So here he's going to re emphasize the importance of the
• 4:00
  Shabbat verse. 2-6 days shall work be done, but on the 7th day
• 4:06
  there shall be to you a holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the
• 4:10
  Lord. Whosoever does work in it shall
• 4:13
  be put to death. So the greatest measure of if
• 4:18
  they were still following along with the Lord God Almighty was
• 4:21
  if they chose to acknowledge the Sabbath and that wasn't great
• 4:28
  indicator of who belonged to him and who did not.
• 4:31
  And here at this time is such a holy time.
• 4:34
  It's very similar the time that we're Speaking of.
• 4:37
  And this is what you need to understand as we go forward in
• 4:41
  the text, go forward in the Bible and Scriptures.
• 4:45
  And there are probably a lot of things that we could pick apart
• 4:48
  and say, hold on a second, wait a minute.
• 4:51
  Did God really mean what He said when He said what He said in a?
• 4:54
  Of course he did. But the reality is, just like
• 4:57
  with Ananias and Sapphira in the early church, you see that they
• 5:02
  lied to the Holy Spirit and they were struck dead.
• 5:08
  You see it also whenever the ark was being brought into the city
• 5:13
  of David and they stretched out their arm to steady it, and they
• 5:18
  were struck dead immediately. So here, this is such a holy
• 5:23
  time, and they were to have reverence for the manifest
• 5:28
  presence of God in their midst. And This is why you can see that
• 5:34
  there's such a harsh judgement upon those who refuse to keep
• 5:40
  the Sabbath. Verse three.
• 5:42
  You shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon
• 5:46
  the Sabbath day. So here you can see that this
• 5:50
  fire was not just for the warmth of the people.
• 5:55
  This fire would be for the work. They were to not do any work.
• 6:00
  Friends. Verse 4 And Moses spoken to the
• 6:03
  congregation of the children of Israel, saying This is the thing
• 6:07
  which the Lord commanded, saying five take you from among you and
• 6:13
  offering them to the Lord. Whosoever is of a willing heart,
• 6:17
  let him bring it an offering of the Lord gold, silver brass.
• 6:22
  So here we're going to get into this little section where you're
• 6:25
  going to see that the people wanted it was a willingness.
• 6:29
  It was not the cleverness on the part of Moses.
• 6:32
  He did not have to beg them for the materials to build this
• 6:36
  tent. And you can see here that the
• 6:38
  people were moved with compassion.
• 6:41
  And that's what God desires. God desires for us not to be led
• 6:45
  by our emotions. Friends, if somebody can talk
• 6:48
  you into something, somebody else can talk you out of it.
• 6:51
  You need to be LED out of a willingness because you see your
• 6:56
  need for repentance. You see that there is no hope
• 6:59
  outside of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• 7:02
  It is only him and him and him alone that's going to get us
• 7:05
  there, friends. And when you finally really that
• 7:08
  it's nothing that you do and it's everything that he did, it
• 7:12
  is a willingness you want to do the things that he asked you to
• 7:16
  do. It pleases you.
• 7:18
  You are over whelmed with joy because he's inviting you on the
• 7:25
  greatest journey that you'll ever go on, the greatest
• 7:28
  adventure that you'll ever go on.
• 7:30
  The Christian life is not humdrum and boring.
• 7:33
  The Christian life isn't about keeping a set of rules, friends.
• 7:38
  The Christian life is about attaching yourself to life
• 7:41
  itself, the abundant life. And you'll never know where you
• 7:45
  might be. Tomorrow.
• 7:46
  God could call you home today. God could bring you into another
• 7:51
  arena, you just don't know. But when we follow after the
• 7:54
  Lord Jesus Christ, it is the greatest adventure that mankind
• 7:58
  could ever embark in. 6 Blue with purple, scarlet, fine linen
• 8:05
  and goat's hair. 7 Ramskins dyed red, badger skins and Acacia
• 8:10
  wood. 8 Oil for the light, spices for anointing, oil for
• 8:14
  the sweet incense. 9 And Onyx stones and stones to be set for
• 8:19
  the epod and for the breastplate. 10 And every wise
• 8:23
  hearted among you shall come and make all that the Lord has
• 8:26
  commanded. So here we're going to see the
• 8:29
  same materials that got listed out in previous his chapters and
• 8:33
  he's going to reiterate over and over and over.
• 8:36
  We're going to see this over and over and over the same things
• 8:40
  that he's ascribed and prescribed in previous chapters.
• 8:44
  We're going to see it actually fleshed out.
• 8:47
  We're going to see it actually materialized.
• 8:50
  It's not just words on a page. It's not just the words of God
• 8:54
  on the mountain top of Mount Sinai in the enveloping cloud of
• 8:59
  Moses. This is actually the people
• 9:01
  putting to practice, putting to practicality the things that God
• 9:06
  has told Moses and the dimensions of the measurements
• 9:10
  and the weights. And he knew exactly how he
• 9:12
  wanted it because this was a prototype of what is the reality
• 9:17
  that is in heaven, friends. And we see it in the Book of
• 9:20
  Revelation, we see it throughout Scripture that these are the
• 9:26
  semblances of what is actually happening in heaven today.
• 9:30
  Friends 11 The Tabernacle, his tent and his covering, his
• 9:40
  tashes, his boards and his bars, his pillars and his sockets. 12
• 9:45
  The ark and the Staffs thereof, the mercy seat and the veil of
• 9:49
  the covering. 13 The table and his Staffs and his vessels and
• 9:53
  his showbread. 14 The Candlestick also for the light,
• 9:57
  his furniture, his lamps, for the oil, for the light.
• 10:00
  So you notice it's His, it's all His, it's his story.
• 10:07
  We are not the main characters. It's all about Jesus Christ.
• 10:16
  It's not about us. We decrease as He increases and
• 10:20
  watch how the abundance flows. 15 The incense altar, his
• 10:30
  Staffs, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the hanging for
• 10:33
  the door at the entering of the Tabernacle. 16 The altar of
• 10:37
  burnt offering with his brass get grate, his Staffs and his
• 10:42
  vessels, the lava, his foot. 17 The hangings of the court, his
• 10:47
  pillars, their sockets, the hanging for the door of the
• 10:50
  court. 18 The pins of the Tabernacle and the pins of the
• 10:53
  court and their cords. 19 The clothes of service, to do
• 10:57
  service in the holy place, the holy garments of Aaron and
• 11:02
  priests, and the garments of his sons to minister in the priest's
• 11:05
  office. So all of this was to be taken
• 11:08
  up and to be put back down. All of it was to be a movable
• 11:14
  tent of the manifest presence of the glory of God descending upon
• 11:20
  that place. 20 And all the congregation of the children of
• 11:27
  Israel departed from the presence of Moses. 21 And they
• 11:30
  came, everyone whose heart stirred him up, and everyone
• 11:35
  whom his Spirit made willing, And they brought the Lord's
• 11:39
  offering to the work of the Tabernacle of the congregation,
• 11:42
  and for all his service and for the holy garments.
• 11:46
  So the people were moved and they had a willingness and they
• 11:50
  wanted to give unto the work. These were the same people who
• 11:56
  not that long ago were ripping off their earrings to make a
• 12:00
  golden calf. And now look, God has done an
• 12:03
  amazing work in their hearts and they want to give.
• 12:07
  They have a willingness to give and it's no different for us.
• 12:10
  We've been redeemed. Friends, when you finally
• 12:13
  realize that you cannot save yourself, that there is no good
• 12:16
  in you apart from the Lord Jesus Christ, our appropriate response
• 12:20
  is to give it all. We don't give some, we give it
• 12:24
  all. We surrender all, every bit of
• 12:27
  it. The breath in our nostrils,
• 12:29
  friends, every single blood cell, every single thought,
• 12:33
  every single motive, all of our emotions, every single bit of
• 12:38
  our future. We surrender it all up to him
• 12:42
  because he's worthy. 22 And they came, both men and women, as
• 12:48
  many as we're willing hearted, and brought bracelets and
• 12:51
  earrings and rings and tablets and jewels of gold.
• 12:55
  Every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the
• 12:59
  Lord, 23 And every man with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet,
• 13:04
  fine linen and goats hair, red skins of Rams, badger skins,
• 13:08
  brought them. 24 Everyone that did offer an offering of silver
• 13:13
  brass brought the Lorde offering, and every man with
• 13:16
  whom was found Acacia wood for any work of the service, they
• 13:20
  brought it. Look at how they're bringing it
• 13:22
  abundantly. Every man who had anything that
• 13:26
  they thought could be used for the building of the temple, they
• 13:30
  brought it unto Moses and laid it at his feet. 25 And all the
• 13:35
  women that were wise hearted spun with their hands, and
• 13:38
  brought that which they had spun, both blue and purple,
• 13:41
  scarlet and fine linen. 26 And all the women whose heart
• 13:45
  stirred them up in wisdom spun goat's hair.
• 13:48
  So here you can see that everyone's taking a part in the
• 13:52
  building of this Tabernacle, and God's going to be well pleased
• 13:56
  to Tabernacle with them. 27 And the rulers brought Onyx stones,
• 14:01
  and stones to be set for the eepod, and for the breastplate,
• 14:04
  28 and spice and oil, for the light, and the anointing oil,
• 14:08
  and for the sweet incense. 29 The children of Israel brought a
• 14:12
  willing offering unto the Lord, every man and woman whose heart
• 14:16
  made them willing to bring all manner of work which the Lord
• 14:20
  had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.
• 14:24
  So look at it, friends, it's happening.
• 14:27
  It's not just words on a mountain anymore.
• 14:29
  It's not just words of their leader to the people anymore.
• 14:32
  They are actually bringing the materials.
• 14:36
  And some may ask, where did all of these materials come from?
• 14:39
  The middle of the wilderness, you have to go back and you have
• 14:44
  to look that when they were leaving Egypt, they plundered
• 14:47
  the Egyptians. The Egyptians gave them all
• 14:50
  their back pay for all of their wages, that they had worked for
• 14:54
  them. And you can see here that they
• 14:57
  were wealthy and is no different today.
• 14:59
  Friends, there are a lot of people who want to pick the Jews
• 15:05
  apart because they control the finances in the world.
• 15:08
  But this is God's business, friends.
• 15:11
  God knows what He's doing, and he blesses his people, his
• 15:16
  peculiar chosen people, the Jews. 30 And Moses said unto the
• 15:23
  children of Israel, See, the Lord has called by name Bazalil,
• 15:28
  the son of Uri, the son of her, the son from the tribe of Judah.
• 15:33
  So we remember this Bazalil in the shadow of the Lord God
• 15:37
  Almighty. 31 And he has filled him with the Spirit of God in
• 15:41
  wisdom and understanding, and in knowledge and all manner of
• 15:44
  workmanship. By the way, that's available to
• 15:47
  you, friend. If you will yield yourself unto
• 15:52
  the Lord God Almighty, He will supernaturally fill you with
• 15:57
  wisdom. He will supernaturally fill you
• 16:00
  with understanding. He will supernaturally fill you
• 16:04
  with knowledge and all manner of workmanship.
• 16:07
  It's available to you. You'll know what to do and when
• 16:10
  to do it and how to do it. If you will completely, 100%
• 16:15
  yield and surrender and sell out to the Lord God Almighty.
• 16:20
  Don't hold anything in your hand.
• 16:22
  Open your palms up and let it all go, and watch how He
• 16:25
  supernaturally fills you with the Spirit of God. 32 And to
• 16:32
  devise curious works, to work in gold and silver and brass, 33
• 16:37
  and in the cutting of stones to set them, and in the carving of
• 16:41
  wood, to make any manner of cunning work. 34 And he has put
• 16:46
  in his heart that he may teach both he and Aholiab, the son of
• 16:50
  Ahasimah of the tribe of Dan. So we remember this.
• 16:54
  Aholiab is the father's tent, and that's what his whole life
• 16:58
  was for, to build the father's tent that he's doing here in the
• 17:02
  book of Exodus. 35 We'll end here.
• 17:08
  Them has he filled with wisdom of heart to work all manner of
• 17:16
  work of the engraver and the cunning workmen, and of the
• 17:19
  embroiderer in blue, and in purple and scarlet, and fine
• 17:23
  linen, and of the Weaver of them that do any work, and of those
• 17:28
  that devise cunning work. So these were the foremen, and
• 17:31
  they would oversee all those who were doing the work of putting
• 17:37
  together this Tabernacle that God's going to come and dwell
• 17:42
  in, in the most holiest of holy places.
• 17:45
  What an amazing book that we hold in our hands.
• 17:48
  What an amazing truth. I hope you've been blessed by
• 17:52
  this chapter here in the book of Exodus.
