  to work maybe you're just trying to get through your day I'm glad you're here

  with us today I want to talk about something that sounds simple but it's not
• 2:08
  always easy and that is called trusting but let's add to that.

  Let's say trusting Jesus.

  Yeah. We say it all the time. We hear it at church.

  We tell people, trust God, just trust God.
• 2:28
  What does that actually look like? When life isn't going the way you would think you would like it to.

  When life isn't going the way you thought it would.
• 2:39
  Wow, I've had moments like that. I've had moments, real moments,
• 2:43
  where trusting God didn't feel natural.
• 2:48
  When things didn't feel like it made sense.
• 2:53
  When prayers felt like they were hitting the ceiling.
• 2:57
  When I thought, God, I am doing my part.
• 3:01
  Where are you in this, Lord? Yeah, I've done that.
• 3:05
  Maybe you've been there too. That space where you believe, but you're also tired.

  You have faith, but you're also questioning.
• 3:15
  Yeah, I've been there. Then I picked up the Bible, and there's a verse that we all know.

  Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding.
• 3:26
  In all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your path straight.

  Proverbs 3, verses 5 through 6.

  That sounds beautiful. But if I'm being honest with all of you this morning,
• 3:40
  the hardest part is that line, lean not on your own understanding.

  Because we want to understand.
• 3:53
  We want answers.
• 3:56
  We want timelines. We want control. But trust.

  Real trust doesn't work like that.
• 4:06
  Trust is saying, God, I don't see.
• 4:10
  God, I don't see it. But I still believe you're working.
• 4:14
  Trust is walking forward. When you don't have the full picture, trust is choosing him.

  Even when the outcome looks different, even when the outlook looks different
• 4:30
  than you, what you prayed for.
• 4:34
  I remember a time in my life when I really had wrestled with this.
• 4:41
  And I'll be honest, it wasn't clean. It wasn't this perfect.
• 4:45
  I trusted God, and everything worked out immediately.
• 4:50
  It was messy. There were doubts. There were moments. I questioned everything.
• 4:57
  But looking back, God never left me.
• 5:00
  Even in the silence, he was there. Even in the waiting, he was moving.
• 5:06
  So if you're listening right now, and you're in that place where things don't
• 5:12
  make sense, where you're praying,
• 5:16
  waiting, where you're trying to hold on, but it feels like you're holding on to something.

  It's just weighing you down. I want you to hear this. You're not alone.

  And trusting Jesus does not, trusting Jesus doesn't mean you have to have it all together.

  Sometimes trust just looks like this. God, I don't understand, but I'm still here.

  So maybe today, trust isn't some big dramatic step.

  Maybe it's small. Maybe it's just choosing not to give up. Maybe it's one more prayer.

  Maybe it's taking one more step.

  One more step forward. Yeah. Even while you're unsure. And that's enough.

  Because that's where faith begins. Let's pray. Heavenly Father,

  we thank you, Lord, today.

  Thank you for meeting us right where we are.
• 6:17
  For the moments when our faith is feeling strong.
• 6:21
  And even in the moments when I feel weak. Even when we don't understand.
• 6:25
  And even when we don't see everything moving forward,
• 6:31
  remind us that you are still in control and give us peace, strength to keep
• 6:39
  moving in the right direction.
• 6:41
  In Jesus' name we pray, amen. May God be with you. May he shine his light upon
• 6:46
  you and grant each and every single one of you peace on earth.
