- 5:05[SPEAKER_08]: Hey listen, we've got a lot of things going on to be beautiful, beautiful summer day.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_08]: Can't complain about the summer, but some people will, but no, you can't do that.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_08]: And so many things going on.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_08]: Here's a good news story.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, you like good news?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_08]: Positive news about our community in our city government.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_08]: like you should.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_08]: But he gets them, they come by UPS and a lot of people do that nowadays, maybe you know people, maybe you do that too.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_08]: So, the other day he got a text or whatever from UPS saying we delivered your pharmaceuticals, he went out on the porch, no drugs, no drug.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_08]: So, he thought maybe he'd be porch by, well, porch by, which you know, so he called, um,
- 6:00[SPEAKER_08]: called the pharmaceutical company in A of a set of subredordered and charged about five.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_08]: So then this morning, city police called him, first time they called the officer said I'm from water's police.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_08]: He hung up because you never know who's calling, but the second time he did talk to him.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_08]: So anyway, the officer said, well, we found your shipment of drugs.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_08]: There's another street blocks away.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_08]: And they brought him
- 6:30[SPEAKER_11]: So they did a good job there.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_08]: So that's a positive story.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_11]: Now, some people say, well, you should get you drunk, whatever.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_08]: Someone will find fault with the innocent and anything.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_08]: But watch out for porch pirates.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_08]: They don't just steal what they think or value.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_08]: They think they see something from wherever.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_08]: Eli Lilly is something they say, bingo.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_08]: turned out whatever the Madison was wasn't anything that gets them high or gets them off or you know it does anything like that it was just something else but that's a good thing yeah so I'm glad the guy got his pharmaceuticals back and done everything he's good with the world a positive story about water town the people who say I'm too naked watching channel seven news
- 7:21[SPEAKER_08]: It's reliable, you go to a network piece for the open.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_08]: About this time about the plain switch over in Turkey.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_08]: I got Diane, we all know about it.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_08]: People who are into that kind of stuff watch other news sources.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_08]: We know that we want to find out what's happening around the corner.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_08]: And up the street.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, we don't want Natalie Brand is our lead story.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_11]: We want something local.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_08]: Local, local.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, that's what we are.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_08]: new poll out uh... sienna poll this blakeman trailing by ten forty nine thirty nine that's an improvement that racist tightening as we predicted it's going to be tough for blakeman but he's got the local under fifty percent in a sea on a poll that's uh... positive sign for him now i've talked to people who've gone to his events and all of that
- 8:18[SPEAKER_08]: But you never know, maybe just satisfaction.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_08]: I'd like what Russ said the other day, Governor, Mom, Dami, and Lieutenant Governor, Hockel.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_08]: They'd be smart to run that in some commercials.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_11]: They didn't have, they didn't have no, no, no, no, no, they actually were just right.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_08]: It's meant to be satire.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's like these people always complaining about an AI image of, it depends on how you portrayed if it's a gross distortion or smear or something,
- 8:49[SPEAKER_08]: If it's meant to be satire, or whatever, or a characterization of the person, that's okay.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_08]: But anyway, so Blake, when you haven't heard of him, he's not, we haven't seen him in water town.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_08]: Whatever.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_08]: Well, out in the eye of what the Badger's State.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_08]: Now, there's a story that may be diverted, quite a bit.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_08]: Kind of an important story, not who Governor, but this guy named Crowley, who the hell is?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, we quit the race for governor, the primary in July because it looked like Francisco Hong was going to win and he came back and beat her last night, the Democrats smeared her pretty good, oh she can't win, oh yeah, and of course the
- 9:38[SPEAKER_08]: Republican spent four million trying to promote her candidacy because they wanted to win.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_08]: But once that news gets out, it makes Democrats skittish because they want control.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_08]: They don't care who it is.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_08]: You know, they wouldn't care if Jeff Graham was the new senator from Maine or something as long as I caucus with the Democrats.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you know how it is.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_08]: You want power.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_08]: You don't care about the individual.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_08]: They're just a placeholder like a piece on a chessboard.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_08]: Well, anyway, the Millie trial, not going to be Friday, what happened there, why just this delayed is just this denied.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_08]: And somebody in the mainstream media find out why the city is pushing this case, even if somebody got their feelings hurt or if someone was over emotional, they were all trying to save a life that night at Pete's.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_08]: And I hit these people on my blogs and always, she's bad.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_08]: She's going to be convicted of prison.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_08]: And how much are you going to spend to try and redo it?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_08]: When there's real criminals out there.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_08]: There was another guy caught with a knife, or a report of a guy with a knife last night.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_08]: And what are we doing in Jefferson County?
- 11:00[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't really.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't really.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_08]: I got a convicted.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, back the blue.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_08]: I, I, I, even if, even if she shoved the cop in the course of a tumultuous and very tense event.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_08]: So what?
- 11:20[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's to me if I'm police chief, which guy for a bit, but I would just settle that quietly say well, you know Mrs Smith, the officer was upset, you know, and here's what
- 11:33[SPEAKER_06]: blah, blah, blah, and talk of it, talk it out, you don't go in charge of it, something?
- 11:37[SPEAKER_08]: With what?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_08]: What are you going to do if you win?
- 11:41[SPEAKER_08]: What's the third floor going to do if they win?
- 11:42[SPEAKER_08]: Jump up and down?
- 11:43[SPEAKER_08]: Good God, what's the... Yeah, even if she's guilty, it's stupid.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_08]: Remember when there was a deal cut to have the manager in the America, mind, like Glenn's show and everything regularly?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_08]: I guess that's off now.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_08]: you know, Glenn told me I was the reason, oh man, oh man, now Glenn had a good show yesterday, yet the angry man came on and he was the angry man was just rockin' and roll on yesterday, yeah, let's listen in, well let's listen in now, wait a minute.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_11]: out the street on a fight.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_11]: There's a young girl who would have might see one like one.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_11]: Three o'clock in the morning for the wagon full of crops at a point.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_11]: What's that how does he go when it's down our way?
- 12:44[SPEAKER_11]: How old are you?
- 12:47[SPEAKER_17]: How old are you?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_11]: I'm saying 25.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_17]: 25.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, true.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_17]: All three tons of us.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_11]: What the hell the people like that doing with an animal?
- 12:59[SPEAKER_11]: They can't take care of themselves.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_17]: But they can't have an animal.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_17]: I hate that.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_17]: And I feel sorry for the dogs.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_17]: I have to get stuck with these losers.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_11]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_11]: Right now.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_11]: And another girl that he's in the same building.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_11]: And two dogs every time I go out on my house, they're part that I need.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_03]: Right now.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_11]: Oh my god, let's hear it.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_11]: First seconds, seconds, ears.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_11]: Three o'clock in the morning.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_11]: Starts to bark and I'll back to my house.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_17]: Sounds like a country song.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, the man doesn't want to call the guy.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yeah, nothing's wrong with Grimm.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_16]: Why would he call Grimm?
- 13:42[SPEAKER_11]: He doesn't want to turn.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_11]: A woman running does a state.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_11]: Three o'clock in the morning.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_11]: Make it.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_11]: And then Grimm says, let her go into the woods.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_11]: Get her a wire for me, after.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_17]: Let it go into the woods.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_11]: Why do you call him a cops honor?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_11]: I just want you to go to the woods.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_17]: But there's anyone... With the pay for Mayor Grant, the get these kind of loaded things off the street.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_11]: I don't want to take the whole street.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_17]: No, no, no, no.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_17]: left field is is was someone's field we just don't know yet all right uh... the content that i understand you have said i don't know why jeff would want some anyone to run into the forest with or without clothes uh... but uh... anyway i'm going to be the mayor's got some weird ideas as part people to stop the old i wouldn't call the cops on this version of that verse he's your as well just for his safety and it's
- 14:44[SPEAKER_17]: Well, you have to do that.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_11]: Give me a break.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_11]: They won the guy.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_11]: The homeless guy came into his farm for the sins on the face.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, big guy.
- 14:52[UNKNOWN]: You told me he called 911.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_17]: Well, yeah.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_17]: He could get to the forest.
- 14:58[UNKNOWN]: I'm sorry.
- 14:59[UNKNOWN]: Not everybody's a good person.
- 15:01[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_08]: All right, from yesterday's live at five show,
- 15:05[SPEAKER_08]: That's right, it is the angry man, and he's taking a little poke at me, but I don't mind, I don't mind he's right, he's right, he's right, he's right, but wow, that is something, you know, that one guy, the angry man catches the whole feeling of the moment about things, yeah, because I just look at,
- 15:33[SPEAKER_08]: I'm a simple soul, y'know?
- 15:40[SPEAKER_08]: What have we got here?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_08]: I was looking at this this morning.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, let's look on crime radar, see what's going on.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_08]: I know some of you disapprove of that, but I got those newsman instincts.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_08]: I like that stuff.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_08]: I can't just say, let's go to Natalie Brandon, do the show, have her do the show.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_08]: We gotta have some stuff, y'know?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_08]: So anyway, we look at recent events for Watertown, New York.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_08]: an assault by unknown man in an apartment there's a fire alarm uh... let's see person revive with narcan that's out in the towns let's see well to see that guy the other day was in a high speed chase in city over a hundred miles an hour
- 16:31[SPEAKER_08]: But since he had a Nissan or something, how can he even drive over a hundred in the city?
- 16:36[SPEAKER_08]: With the bumpy streets and all of that?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_08]: Only cow.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_08]: Only cow.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I, uh, I drove down Jefferson Street this morning.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_08]: I had a customer who wanted to be dropped off at the rooster, so I said, now I'll do that on my way in, dropped them off, and I turned and went down Jefferson Street.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_08]: Very narrow, very narrow, and especially with cars parked there.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't see anything going on today, but that's where that guy got the stuffing beat out of him the other night.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_08]: Uh-huh, so, but what are you going to do?
- 17:10[SPEAKER_08]: There's a certain subset of the human race that's just going to always be in turmoil.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_08]: And with few exceptions, that's why you have police departments and courts and all of that.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_08]: Just sort of keep them amused and under control.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_08]: So the nice people can live their lives in peace and quiet.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_08]: Now there's occasionally somebody in a nice neighborhood, you know, murders somebody, but not that often.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_08]: Not that often.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_08]: 755, 1240 is the phone number.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_08]: If you'd like to give us a call to be on a show of shows today, we are off and running.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_08]: What do we got?
- 17:52[SPEAKER_08]: What's new junkie?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that Luigi Manchoni trial in New York.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_08]: Somebody put a bullet through his head.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_08]: He's got all these chicks outside the courthouse, cooling over him.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_08]: The man shot again, another guy in cold blood on the sidewalk.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_08]: Uh-huh.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_08]: Nice.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_08]: And the amount of money being spent on this same thing with that guy who killed Charlie Kirk I know there's some of you who didn't like Charlie Kirk and our glad that he's dead There are people in the audience who feel that way.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_08]: I don't I didn't know a lot about him I thought it was you Well, let's see Another change saw that story last week when Secretary Kennedy was up about that new dining facility at Ford drum
- 18:39[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they're opening a B-stroke in Fort Hood, that's in Texas, and they're beginning, they're serving beer there, beer, and of course I think I'm posh, you can drink it, 18, yeah, so, I don't know, that's something.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, boy.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_08]: The study out said Buffalo Bill's games were the most expensive to attend in the NFL affordability governor You were in on that stadium affordability isn't it stayed owned?
- 19:14[SPEAKER_08]: Afford abilities the word you use it don't you ma'am?

- 19:32[SPEAKER_08]: See, town of water town board meets tonight.

- 19:38[SPEAKER_08]: Here they they also have a report coming out on financial progress.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_08]: I wonder what that's all about Yeah I don't know why we got a call coming in good after doing your on the air
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: But he knows that there is an extra free concert at Trinity Church at 6 o'clock tonight on the lawn.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's a black river jazz ensemble.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_03]: And there will be snacks, usual, and bring your lunch here and you'll like it.
- 20:07[UNKNOWN]: And although the food in the concert are free donations are much appreciated.
- 20:12[UNKNOWN]: And tomorrow night is a bluegrass band.
- 20:17[UNKNOWN]: So it's jazz, Wednesday, and bluegrass Thursday this week.

- 21:02[SPEAKER_08]: We're an inclusive show here.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_08]: Now, inclusive.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see somebody text in the stadium is 20% on buttons.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_08]: I don't care.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_08]: Still affordability.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_08]: It's a democratic state.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_08]: It's a affordability.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_08]: Is that word mean anything?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_08]: Redden black.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_08]: I don't really know this week's championship game.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_08]: You know, you know who we got to get a hold of his Jim Reagan.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_08]: I Got his phone number now I don't like to call them on it now, but
- 21:41[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, my regimen used to be editor at the journal up there, and now he's a county legislator, and he was going to get us a list of prominent people and say, oh, it's county, and he's one of them, I might add, because we love those people up there at WTK 92.7 in Ogden'sburg, and we know there's a lot of listening, they're just discovering us, because, you know, we weren't there before, but where they are now, I mean,
- 22:10[SPEAKER_08]: You've got to change your habits, you know, people have habits, you know, and now that we're part of it, I'm sure there's a lot of people listening.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_08]: Many people listening.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_08]: Alrighty, seven, five, five.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, we got a call.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_18]: I'm here.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_18]: How are you doing today?
- 22:30[SPEAKER_08]: Good.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_18]: I was listening to some talk radio the other day and you're describing our little city perfectly.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_18]: it wasn't our city they're describing but there's many cities mirroring this right now hmmm we have is what they describe it as a feral drug addict problem not a homeless problem a feral drug addict problem and they've gone through and done the research and done everything involved that in the 90 percentile it's a drug addict that seems to be the homeless in the area that they're discussing it's probably the same thing here
- 23:06[SPEAKER_08]: Well, there's a lot of bad things going on, yeah, but there's a lot of good things, I mean, you know.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_18]: Well, you think that's a fair description though, a fair old drug addict.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm probably.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_18]: You know, probably what we've got going on.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_18]: Hey, what do you think half of that whole red and black thing I read the scene that you did?
- 23:23[SPEAKER_18]: Isn't that crazy that a whole team disassembled for a fight after they beat the team?
- 23:28[SPEAKER_18]: 10 to 0 and You know, it doesn't sound like it's a little bit of a one-sided thing.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_18]: You think that'll stand?
- 23:37[SPEAKER_18]: I don't know, I mean, you know, what, people fight and all the time now, it's a regular thing, look at, look at women's basketball, that's all that is, not the fight now.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_08]: What's a good thing.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_08]: I like that.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I mean, I enjoy watching a WNBA game, and especially if it's Indiana, there's a fan base now, they're making money, they're, they're portnasses in the seats, which is really the job of a, of a team owner.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_18]: and am the team and i think it's a good thing well there there has been multiple uh... multiple candidates that have have gone in line that beyond the roster for next year for being picked up and they are meant we're now saying that there's been retired from basketball that the now female i think that's gonna little situation right out of control but i think that's where we're now we're gonna go with that i just think you know you got to make your choices and you had to make them
- 24:36[SPEAKER_18]: the WMBA is a making me fast choices.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_08]: No, they're kind of paralyzed or whatever by it, because they're trying to be woke, but whatever happened.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_18]: If you took someone who might have been a hair above average in his peak and hasn't played in a lot of years, say like it done his rodman right now, and you put him on that core, he would dominate everything else.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_08]: You know what?
- 24:57[SPEAKER_08]: I was talking to John Moore, the other, John Moore is my expert on basketball, and he did
- 25:05[SPEAKER_08]: Men's basketball team would beat a WNV-18 many time, but that doesn't matter.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_08]: It's still entertaining.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_08]: John said that he would be willing to play one-on-one with Sophie Cunningham.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_08]: And I think that'd be a good thing.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_08]: John could be like the, you know, you remember Bobby Riggs and Tennis.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_08]: John could go one-on-one with Sophie and he could be the Bobby Riggs of basketball.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_18]: That would make it interesting.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_08]: Well, thank you.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, Peter.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_08]: Can't go along with the tongue and cheek, that's, you know, whatever.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, somebody put a news junkie, those platters out in front of Keybank, those are attractive aren't they?
- 25:49[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_08]: They left them in because they didn't want to spend the money to take them out because they didn't think about the fact that they were going in and some people wouldn't like them.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_08]: Now there's another thing on news junkie.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_08]: Should homeless people be sleeping in factory square park?
- 26:10[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's a sign of me that says, why not?
- 26:15[SPEAKER_08]: That way the cops know where they are.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_08]: And nobody lives down there.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_08]: It's not affecting property values on the Kagwin Road or anything.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_08]: So the laws are behaving.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_08]: You know, you get that.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_08]: Sometimes somebody comes in as for glass of water, something,
- 26:32[SPEAKER_08]: May you try to be accommodating people, do you feel bad about it?
- 26:39[SPEAKER_08]: So, I don't know.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_08]: They just introduced Mr. Food on Channel 7's Nuncher.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_08]: 755-1240, I've been waiting all day for the Mr. Food segment all day.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we'll see.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_08]: Remember they put those planners in and it was a jake and Bobby were all upset about it and he were very upset, you know.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I want to thank news junkie.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_08]: You know, we had that ball being moved.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know whether he's just trying to be a he-man or take it.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_08]: I don't really care.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_08]: It's property.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, posted it on news drunk, and we knew within minutes who it was, you know, and if the guy was already on the blotter for another issue.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_08]: So, that's good.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_08]: I remember years ago, I had a sign for Yingling Brewery.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_08]: I'd got it at the breweries, one of a kind, and not one of a kind, but it was pretty unusual Yingling logo and all that.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_08]: And somebody took it.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_08]: Of course, thank these.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_08]: But they took it, and I was kind of feed off.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_08]: You know, as a lot of people say, well, you shouldn't have allowed them to.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_08]: It's your fault.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_08]: I don't buy it, theft is theft.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_08]: So, I happened to have a picture of it from one I bought it.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_08]: A new junkie was nice enough to post it.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_08]: And I wasn't too long after that.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_08]: I was just sitting there, and a car pulled up out the side.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_08]: I heard a door open, something got to put something on the porch there and took off.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_08]: And I went out and there was my sign.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_08]: dangerous to hold it because now everybody knew it was hot merchandise.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_08]: You know, they'd see the sinus area.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_08]: It's the sinus stole from the maridon.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_08]: So, I don't know, a little bit of, uh, it's had detective work on our, I don't know, whatever it is.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_08]: It is nice.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_08]: Sometimes any sugar can be resolved that way.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_08]: And that's a good thing.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_08]: Especially when it's something
- 28:49[SPEAKER_08]: entities getting involved with.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_08]: Like somebody trying to tip over a ball or concrete ball, I don't think that's a public issue, really.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_08]: I think you got to deal with that privately.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_08]: Now, if somebody, you know, does horrible damage to your property or shoot somebody, yeah, you got to get a lawn valve.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_08]: But there's a lot of things you just got to learn to handle on your own.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_08]: And you're going to have to do more of that in the, you know, new world order.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_08]: There's
- 29:19[SPEAKER_08]: they're not going to get better uh... seven five five twelve forty the phone number if you'd like to uh... give us a call who was in the paper so well i see what they have in there that was kind of interesting well i don't want to dwell on those things
- 29:46[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe I'll call our Jim Reagan during the break and see if he can talk to us.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_08]: That'd be great.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_08]: You know, he's a great guy.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_08]: All right.

- 31:32[SPEAKER_15]: Others apparently declare war on their customers.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_28]: At badwebsite.com, we believe websites should take as long as possible to load.

- 32:07[SPEAKER_28]: We believe customers should have to work hard for basic information.

- 33:22[SPEAKER_08]: You know, we're not exclusive at any of that.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_08]: We shouldn't feel that way.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_08]: You know, there is a bit of a self-esteem problem in this area.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_08]: It's a bit of a loss in all that, but
- 33:35[SPEAKER_08]: gone of the days of water town city of the future when we painted on the sidewalk clean up fix up whatever the slogan was at the time yeah now it's all about bad things and you know I don't you get tired of hearing about people pulling them I find somebody
- 34:01[SPEAKER_08]: And that's a very personal way of assaulting a woman like a gun.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it's just like it really is disturbing, it's so much of it.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_08]: You know, sometimes we feel that maybe for the first time in your life, maybe you should maybe you should be packing, but then that'll get you in trouble too.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_08]: I don't see too much new on the blotter today, other new usual, you know, let's see, oh well, we'll try August 11th, we'll move over a day, no, that was yesterdays, we had that yesterday, you know, actually I talked, yes, I was talking to the victim of one of those alleged crimes yesterday,
- 34:58[SPEAKER_08]: Very nice person.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_08]: Very nice person.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_08]: You know?
- 35:03[SPEAKER_08]: Whatever.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_08]: You give your advice to people.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't really matter.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't really matter.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_08]: You know, who am I to give advice, right?
- 35:17[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody says to your bar allow people to conceal carry.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_11]: I don't think you're supposed to in that setting.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_08]: But you know a person who's responsible with guns, you wouldn't know they have it.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_08]: They're not sitting there saying, who, who, who, who?
- 35:28[SPEAKER_08]: Full of jacket open, or something like that, or they're pant leg up to show you their darrenger on the ankle.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_08]: So, you know, you don't know.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_08]: It could any setting could have a person who's armed.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_08]: You don't know.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_08]: So, but if something, I would not encourage it.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_11]: And if type of people who go out doing that, you've got to worry about, you know.

- 39:16[SPEAKER_08]: We're also being heard up in the big county, on W-Q-T-K-97.92.7 in Ogden'sburg.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_08]: Now, to get the numbers right, and we welcome all of those people in.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_08]: Even over in Prescott,
- 39:31[SPEAKER_08]: Waddington, maybe some in Hammond?
- 39:34[SPEAKER_08]: Don't vote yourself out of existence since then.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_08]: That's not good.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_08]: And then, Governor, we got the mayoralists in every day, every day.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, he's one of our most loyal people.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_08]: The life-saver mayor, you know, I'm Ron McDougall, he's a good guy.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_08]: But he knows everything about politics.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_08]: I'm telling him, and he's a Democrat.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_08]: So I get my politics, generally, from Russ
- 40:01[SPEAKER_08]: and their mactugalons and democratic side.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_08]: And then I combine all of that great reservoir of knowledge into my viewpoint.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_08]: Look at how well it comes out.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_11]: That's amazing.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_11]: Just amazing.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, let's see, oh, boy.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_08]: Somebody here says I'd go one on one with Sophie.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's not very nice.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_08]: He's a nice woman.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_08]: I just said that John would go on the court, and I think that'd be a good fundraiser.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon, Jeff.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_07]: We're talking about knife attacks.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_07]: I saw a statistic in the National Media last year that said that in the United States knives.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_07]: kill an injured more people than that of states than guns do and you know we all hear about guns and then right all the dangers but I thought there was an interesting statistic that knives kill an injured more people gone and another completely different topic yesterday I was at the mall that picked something up and up saw a sad side outside a guy adult about 40 years old or
- 41:22[SPEAKER_07]: to smoke.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_07]: He wasn't picking up cigarette bucks to clean up litter.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_07]: No, he was picking them up to smoke.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_07]: That thing I haven't seen that in a long time.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_07]: I haven't seen it since I was working in New York City.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_07]: Yep, here it is, right here in Watertown.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that's been going on for a long time, yeah.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_07]: I know it has been going on for a long time.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_07]: I've seen it all my life, but I can see it.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_07]: I haven't seen it in the water challenge, but now it's here.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, keep up the good.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_07]: I'm 92.7.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_08]: All right, thank you.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_08]: Well, listen, the people want to pick them up.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_11]: That's great.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_08]: But a lot of times, you'll see people go up there.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_08]: If you have outdoor receptacles with sand in them, before you get to maybe cleaning them out for the day's business, if people get there early, they pick through them and find the ones with.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_08]: Still some life, gentlemen.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's because they made the cigarettes so damn expensive.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_08]: It was a 16, 17 bucks now.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_11]: Wow.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_08]: Unless you go to the, you know, you can get the untaxed ones.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_08]: I was talking to Richard State employee the other day and he said, yeah, I'm getting these for $5.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_08]: Is that bother you?
- 42:37[SPEAKER_08]: You're not supporting your state government to support you?
- 42:40[SPEAKER_08]: No, no, if it's cheap it's for me I don't care It's against a lot.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_08]: I don't care.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_08]: I'm getting them cheap And that's the prevailing view.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_08]: I mean people go to the razors or whatever And yet an average store can't sell them for that Yeah I Don't know what's just just something
- 43:06[SPEAKER_08]: Well, anyway, um, we'd love to hear more from you, because, uh, well, that's what we do here.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_08]: All right, uh, well, I don't see anything new on the police blocker, but.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_08]: uh... was another solar eclipse coming partial in a cross parts of the u.s. we don't care about that anymore we got burned the last time we got them let down the primrose path by people like me media people time it's going to be a greatest thing in the world i was a big disappointment yeah don't listen to the media and that stuff uh... well let's see
- 43:57[SPEAKER_08]: So a whole bunch of comments on news junkie about shit homeless be allowed to sleep overnight at factory square park.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_08]: What do you think?
- 44:04[SPEAKER_08]: I think they should be.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_08]: Paramounts considering moving CBS news out of New York City, they're having battles with the Attorney General, Latissa James and others.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_08]: What is it with these people?
- 44:21[SPEAKER_08]: They're intent on driving business out in New York.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_08]: I don't care whether Paramount runs CBS News or really care.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's just like crazy stuff here.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_08]: But after doing it on the air.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_10]: Hey, good afternoon, man.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_10]: Sure.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_10]: Just to go back to the Hulkel Democrat liberal in the socialism now.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_10]: Look for affordability, look at the shagraps as a perfect example.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, but to tax and tax and tax and electric bills, another perfect example, tax and tax and tax and tax.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_08]: Well, look, look, look, I'm sitting here right now talking over a radio station and uses electricity to transmit.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_08]: And we have to, we, the owner of the station has to pay 11% sales tax on that power, whereas you at your house only have to pay 5%, same electricity, but because you're in business, they assume you can be penalized and take your money.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_08]: And that's not very, there should be even ski keel, I mean, exactly, I know what to mean, I know, okay, well, thank you, listen, I got a call coming, I got a run, thank you, I know, but after doing you're on the air, I just, Jim Reagan here Jim Reagan, former, what were you, editor of the, uh, journal, uh,
- 45:53[SPEAKER_13]: I'm a county legislator and my wife and I own the Sherman in and I write local history books.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_08]: That's a bad and breakfast, right?
- 46:03[SPEAKER_13]: Yes.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_08]: Now, we've talked sometimes on the air about the North, well, every place nowadays is a news desert.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_08]: The old days when there was Chuck Kelly in yourself, I remember visiting a newsroom.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_08]: I hope you remember me coming in.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_13]: And, yes, yeah, time's tough.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_08]: And there was activity and things and going on and you had an editorial position from Chuck that kind of set parameters for the community, not that he was always right, but, you know, there was, now there's no such things as editorial anymore.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm not sure we're better for it.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_08]: That's why all of this local government's out of control, right?
- 46:42[SPEAKER_13]: I think that there's a great deal of truth in that.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_13]: The, uh, but, uh, you know, Mac or Tolo is the editor of the advanced news, uh, which is the, uh, weekly newspaper in St. Lawrence County.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_13]: And, um, he's, uh,
- 47:00[SPEAKER_13]: running a great paper and it deserves a lot of credit during a difficult time and Jimmy Lawton is the news editor over at North Country this week and you know they're both doing a great job of covering local news and letting people know what the local governments are doing and I think that's
- 47:28[SPEAKER_13]: uh... a k-part of uh... what makes community stronger well there's so much local government though and we have we see you know and it's it's not like the old days when uh... you know i had uh... five reporters in my news room and uh... another uh... five reporters in macena and pot stem and can't uh... you know and we were able to
- 47:56[SPEAKER_13]: cover most of the town boards and all the county legislature meetings and the city council meetings and the Bridgerton Board and every other body that we could think of and sort of be the paper of records for St. Lawrence County.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_13]: But, you know, time to change, but I've been
- 48:26[SPEAKER_13]: Jimmy Lawton and Mac Courtholomew are Other trying there better Carry on to traditions both of them worked for me when I was The band you had are the journal and I helped them get their jobs and they're both
- 48:42[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I see though, when I see, we continue to devalue you like local elected officials, all of this part of time, people don't pay money, go through this.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_08]: And we continue to elevate and expand the power of these all these six figure bureaucrats in local government.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_08]: When I was in news, the idea of a local government person making six figures was just out of the question, now they all do, is that, is it that way up there?
- 49:13[SPEAKER_13]: I would love to see a list, a comparison list of what a lot of these officials are making.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_13]: I think it would be nice to see a list of all the town supervisors and how much they
- 49:45[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but you pay your mayor like eight, eight thousand a year in Ogden'sburg.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_08]: And then you get mad at him if things don't go right.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, how fair is that?
- 49:55[SPEAKER_08]: Not you get mad.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_13]: Hey, hey, you don't hear me criticizing the mayor of Ogden'sburg.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_13]: He's got a difficult job.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_13]: And I get by truly a great deal credit for taking on a difficult job as a difficult time.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_13]: and doing his best to try to, you know, south of, right, it appears to be some very difficult problem.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_08]: How is this new city manager?
- 50:23[SPEAKER_08]: Throw notes or something?
- 50:25[SPEAKER_13]: Yes, find a cronos.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_08]: How is he doing?
- 50:29[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you know, I mean, he's wrestling with problems that have been in existence for many years
- 50:42[SPEAKER_13]: do the best he can, you know, when he's, you know, he works for City Council and, you know, you more than anyone knows what it's like to, you know, City Council's like hurting cats.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_13]: And, you know, when you were mayor of Watertown, you had to try to hurt them as best you could in whatever direction you thought was,
- 51:10[SPEAKER_13]: The best way to go and it's not always easy and sometimes some of the cats just don't want to go that way Okay, now Ogden'sburg Has its challenges.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_08]: It's a beautiful piece of waterfront property But industries and the same things true everywhere, but Why is it that these communities and nobody has any self-esteem about their community?
- 51:33[SPEAKER_08]: No, there's no boosters of anymore How do we get there?
- 51:39[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you know, let's back up.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_13]: The oxygen spurred as some wonderful waterfront properties that were heavily polluted by industrial users, years and years, and years ago, and they left the mess behind them.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_13]: Now, the city of August for currently as what's known as the Diamond National property cleaned up and they have put out a request for proposals and they have received requests for proposals, they received proposals and they will soon be
- 52:36[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's, hopefully, good news.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_13]: Now, seeing, you know, what proposal they're going to accept, you know, and, you know, we're hoping to see some of the other waterfront properties cleaned up in the next couple of years.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_13]: And it's a long and difficult process, and it's a multimillion dollar process.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_13]: You know, thank you just snack your fingers and suddenly I have polluted properties are clean again.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_13]: And it doesn't work that way.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, I know.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_08]: It's it's difficult for kids small communities to come up with Where you got 10 millions of dollars of negative property.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_08]: So they give you a 10 million recently.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_13]: We're making progress.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_13]: Okay.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_13]: You know, I have a lot of confidence in the future and I think, you know, we're going to see some things happen.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, good.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_13]: And we're kind of getting towards, uh, It's going to happen tomorrow.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_13]: It's not going to happen overnight.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_13]: Uh, I hope City Council in its wisdom takes a developer who has the financial resources to do whatever it is they propose to do.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you know, do you know this from your own background as a local official you get a lot of people who say oh, I'm going to do this wonderful thing And then when you check further you find they actually don't have any money to do it and you know, but they do have their hand out the so you know, I think it's important that the city
- 54:29[SPEAKER_13]: as a resources to do it.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_08]: One quick question we got to wrap it up here but how bad is the situation with the hospital?
- 54:44[SPEAKER_13]: Well I think when all of a sudden we're still going to have a hospital where we probably aren't going to have every service that we've had and want to have.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_13]: I think there's a host of problems that a lot of them are due to the changing nature of rural health care and we need a lot of for hours at all that.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_08]: I know.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_13]: I think they're addressing.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_08]: uh... some problems are going to have to make some very difficult decisions uh... no one's going to be happy with everything that they do uh... but uh... you'll do the machine now jim i got a wrap it up because we're almost out of time it's great talking to you just and uh... you're going to get a list for me right of people oh yes and uh... i just want you to know rhinoic google is listening today
