- 0:20Speaker 1: I am pushing the phone number eight seven seven ninety
- 0:22Speaker 1: nine on Fox. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Yesterday we took the most calls we've ever taken as
- 0:27Speaker 1: a show.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Did we three? Today?
- 0:31Speaker 4: We're trying to double it.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yes, I want more. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I will join this damn video thing in a second.
- 0:37Speaker 1: There's too many buttons to click on before the show starts.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Steve Guts felt the need to get a haircut immediately
- 0:44Speaker 5: before the show.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Listen.
- 0:45Speaker 6: He looks great, don't get me wrong.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Thank you. Yes, I found some time.
- 0:49Speaker 1: And what I'm really searching for are places that I
- 0:51Speaker 1: can go to where I can't reach my phone. And
- 0:55Speaker 1: if it means sitting in a you know, on a
- 0:58Speaker 1: chair at the haircuttery or super Cuds, I forget which one.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I want to do the.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Same thing you ever done one of those floating things
- 1:04Speaker 5: where you just float in water and you're just like
- 1:06Speaker 5: all your senses are pretty much I don't know what's
- 1:10Speaker 5: the word there.
- 1:11Speaker 3: I don't know, deprivation, deprivation. Thank you.
- 1:14Speaker 5: You got the sensory deprivation tank and you're just sitting
- 1:17Speaker 5: there and you've got your own mind and that's all
- 1:18Speaker 5: you got, and it feels like you can think about anything.
- 1:20Speaker 6: It's kind of like the idea is.
- 1:24Speaker 5: I don't know if this is the idea, but it's
- 1:25Speaker 5: kind of like taking a hallucinogenic, your mind can go anywhere.
- 1:28Speaker 3: You have me doing that. Huh, Well, I have.
- 1:30Speaker 5: You taking the hallucinogenic and then avoiding the sensory deprivation tank.
- 1:34Speaker 1: But you know, I mean, listen, once I take the LSD,
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm up for anything.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Well, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't take the LSD
- 1:43Speaker 5: and then go to the sensory deprivation tank because you.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Might freak the bleepout eight seven, seven ninety nine on
- 1:49Speaker 1: Fox to the gentleman who saw me earlier and we'll
- 1:52Speaker 1: get to the ELPs in just a second. Who saw
- 1:54Speaker 1: me walking the hallways of this radio station? You're in
- 1:57Speaker 1: pember Pines, Florida, with a walking around with a tray
- 2:02Speaker 1: of Stofer's spaghetti with meat sauce. Too little TV dinner.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I love a TV dinner and just whispered in my ear.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And I'm not certain who the person is. And if
- 2:12Speaker 1: I never find out, I'm good. And if we never
- 2:14Speaker 1: exchange another word, I'm good. He whispered in my ear,
- 2:18Speaker 1: ducked in and said, that's what radio was all about.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Thank you, sir, And you're right.
- 2:27Speaker 6: It is no way that gentleman who do you know him?
- 2:30Speaker 5: No, right, there's no way he got up to your
- 2:32Speaker 5: ear and whispered in your ear as you were holding
- 2:34Speaker 5: a Stofer stove up.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Yes, perhaps I am Fellows and.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Like an Hurley.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I was also surprised to see that in our group
- 2:43Speaker 1: text year, Taylor likes to ask what we're going to
- 2:45Speaker 1: start the show with. I thought for sure that is
- 2:48Speaker 1: he wanted to start with either Wemby or Tiger Woods.
- 2:53Speaker 1: He felt like Tiger might be a little bit too
- 2:55Speaker 1: serious to start the show with, and perhaps just too
- 2:57Speaker 1: serious in general.
- 2:59Speaker 6: And Wemby's too tall and Webby's too tall.
- 3:01Speaker 1: And I was surprised to see unanimously by the way
- 3:05Speaker 1: the reaction being the umpires oh Man.
- 3:08Speaker 6: Baseball my favorite sports due I don't know if you
- 3:10Speaker 6: knew that.
- 3:10Speaker 1: No, what do you guys want to talk about as
- 3:15Speaker 1: it relates to the UMPS, Because I don't like this
- 3:18Speaker 1: new system. I don't like what it does to the game.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I'm not certain the umps are going to have a job.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You don't like ABS, huh, I don't. Well, I have
- 3:27Speaker 1: proof that I don't like ABS. It just it feels wrong.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It feels like we're putting people kind of out of jobs.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I understand wanting to get it right, but some of
- 3:37Speaker 1: the mystery of baseball is you know when umpire has
- 3:39Speaker 1: his own strike zone.
- 3:40Speaker 6: Okay, go ahead, Taylor.
- 3:42Speaker 7: So I'm having a hard time focusing today because Stu,
- 3:45Speaker 7: if you come in this VIP room right now, Yeah,
- 3:48Speaker 7: Ricardo's got it set up like a sports bar with
- 3:52Speaker 7: every MLB day game on right now. Is he said
- 3:56Speaker 7: baseball is my favorite sport? We know is he's joking?
- 4:00Speaker 7: Ricardo has every MOB game on right now. I know
- 4:03Speaker 7: he has one in my face right here in the
- 4:05Speaker 7: studio watching. Yeah, the Metropolitans are on right now, the
- 4:08Speaker 7: day game.
- 4:09Speaker 5: By the way, Ricardo always wearing Florida Marlins gear.
- 4:12Speaker 6: And this is not this is not making fun of him.
- 4:14Speaker 5: This is a shout out for the greatest Marlins fan
- 4:17Speaker 5: in history.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Just based on wardrobe.
- 4:20Speaker 4: It's not even Miami Marlins.
- 4:21Speaker 6: He's wearing Florida. This is it's Teal before the Teal redistribution.
- 4:27Speaker 3: The first place Florida Marlins. I mean, is that true? Yes?
- 4:30Speaker 1: The f in Florida stands for first place. About bad yep,
- 4:34Speaker 1: the Metropolitan They're.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Currently the Marlins currently up nine to nothing. Great game
- 4:38Speaker 7: from Sandy.
- 4:40Speaker 3: He's back.
- 4:41Speaker 4: He might be Uncle Byle.
- 4:43Speaker 3: He won a saw Young Award, did he not?
- 4:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:45Speaker 6: He did, all right, he did a little bit.
- 4:50Speaker 3: He's gonna look good in a Dodger uniform.
- 4:52Speaker 7: Yeah, that's my favorite. That's my favorite part watching Marlins games.
- 4:56Speaker 7: You kind of just use the Marlins games to just
- 4:58Speaker 7: scout who the next guy the he's going to trade
- 5:00Speaker 7: for this team?
- 5:02Speaker 6: So is he?
- 5:03Speaker 1: What are your thoughts here on the umpiring since that's
- 5:05Speaker 1: where we wanted to start.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Well, I'll leave this to Taylor to give the finer
- 5:10Speaker 5: details on. But there's one particular if it used to
- 5:13Speaker 5: be Angel Hernandez that used to get all the you
- 5:16Speaker 5: know what from fans, But Sebe Buckner is a special
- 5:19Speaker 5: kind of terrible when it comes to umpiring. And yesterday
- 5:24Speaker 5: he had a play that I kind of want to
- 5:26Speaker 5: let Taylor describe, but he had a play that was
- 5:30Speaker 5: just so obviously terrible that it makes you think he
- 5:33Speaker 5: should just switch careers.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:35Speaker 7: So in Ray's Brewers, Jake Bowers is up. He hits
- 5:39Speaker 7: a ball, he's running it to first base. The throw
- 5:41Speaker 7: gets away. They go back and they try to tag him,
- 5:45Speaker 7: and everybody's like, what the heck is going on? The
- 5:48Speaker 7: CEBE Buckner calls him out and says he missed first base,
- 5:52Speaker 7: So the the Brewers get work to challenge it. They
- 5:57Speaker 7: challenge it very clearly steps on first base, and then
- 6:02Speaker 7: everybody's like, wait, how did he miss this call? They
- 6:04Speaker 7: show the replay of C. B.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Buckner. He's not even looking at first base.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I mean no, I mean listen, then no, look call,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I mean that's what it does.
- 6:13Speaker 7: So they reversed the call and they called Bower safe
- 6:17Speaker 7: at first base, and they cut to both the Rays
- 6:20Speaker 7: and the Brewers dugout and both managers are essentially looking
- 6:24Speaker 7: at each other crying, laughing because they can't believe an
- 6:27Speaker 7: umpire is that bad as a job.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Taylor I just showed Stu a picture of the base
- 6:33Speaker 5: runner's foot in the middle on top of first base.
- 6:37Speaker 5: He would have had to have levitated, you know that
- 6:39Speaker 5: trick that people do and they look like they're levit.
- 6:41Speaker 6: I forget that dance, but it's called.
- 6:42Speaker 5: But he would have had to been randomly doing that
- 6:44Speaker 5: over the first base plate base to not touch that thing.
- 6:49Speaker 6: And like, it's not Stu. I just showed it to Stu. Yes,
- 6:52Speaker 6: it's not even close.
- 6:54Speaker 5: It's not like half of his foot one quarter of
- 6:56Speaker 5: his foot, it's like eighty percent of his foot is
- 6:59Speaker 5: on a base. And Cebe Buckner was adamant about this.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I respect him for guessing. I respect I respect him
- 7:09Speaker 1: for trying to put some flair into it with the
- 7:11Speaker 1: no look, because the only way you missed that call
- 7:13Speaker 1: is by not watching.
- 7:14Speaker 6: We have audio of the call.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Wait, we have audio, we do we play by play
- 7:20Speaker 3: of him missing a call.
- 7:21Speaker 6: Because even the announcers were flummoxed.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Okay, let's play it.
- 7:26Speaker 6: Bowers so did.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Out with Williamson throws the first it's wide, it's backed
- 7:32Speaker 1: up by four tes.
- 7:33Speaker 6: That should be a base at for ballas.
- 7:35Speaker 8: Runner did not touch first base and then was put out.
- 7:40Speaker 9: So the call from Cebee Buckner is that Jake Bauers
- 7:43Speaker 9: missed first base and then was tagged out, not that
- 7:46Speaker 9: he made a move to.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Second base and was tagged out, that he flat out
- 7:50Speaker 2: missed the bag.
- 7:52Speaker 6: And I think that is the horrendous call.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Where is sebe Butner.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Looking looking at him? We would that ceb Buter was
- 8:00Speaker 3: not even looking.
- 8:01Speaker 6: At the play. I'm not sure what CB Buckster's looking
- 8:03Speaker 6: at there. That's ridiculous. Well, I'm really excited for him
- 8:06Speaker 6: to have the plate tomorrow. Everybody laughing at that call.
- 8:11Speaker 5: It just feel like he felt like, oh no, I've
- 8:13Speaker 5: got to do something, I've got to say something.
- 8:16Speaker 6: If he just would have said safe, it would have
- 8:18Speaker 6: been an absolute nothing.
- 8:20Speaker 10: That's exactly like is he that's a call like if
- 8:23Speaker 10: you miss everybody's like, oh okay, you missed that.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Like what went in doubt?
- 8:27Speaker 10: Just call it the way it happened, which was, hey,
- 8:29Speaker 10: he beat him the throat ever got there, you're safe.
- 8:33Speaker 5: And if in some scenarios the base runner levitated over
- 8:36Speaker 5: first of the first place bag first base bag, then
- 8:40Speaker 5: maybe replay would have brought that out.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Mikey, you're asking him just to make the right call.
- 8:46Speaker 1: He wasn't looking. He doesn't know what the right call is.
- 8:49Speaker 10: I'm not even asking him to make the right call,
- 8:52Speaker 10: asking him to make the easy call.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I love the no look punch out though, I do.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I love it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: It's one of my favorite things about umpires. I don't
- 8:58Speaker 1: care if it's accurate or not. I love no look
- 9:00Speaker 1: punch out.
- 9:01Speaker 11: I do.
- 9:02Speaker 7: But to Mikey's point, ninety nine point nine percent of
- 9:06Speaker 7: the time the guy running to first is gonna hit
- 9:09Speaker 7: first base. The chances of him missing the base you
- 9:13Speaker 7: never know the one time you're not looking are so
- 9:17Speaker 7: small that you're gonna look so dumb. If the call
- 9:20Speaker 7: gets overturned, then you go to the replay. And Bowers
- 9:24Speaker 7: couldn't have squared up the base anymore with his.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Foot, and Taylor, the first baseman, was nowhere near the bag.
- 9:31Speaker 5: So it was just this base runner either does not
- 9:34Speaker 5: know how to run and has never touched first base before,
- 9:37Speaker 5: or it is the most ridiculous call ever. And it
- 9:40Speaker 5: was the most ridiculous call ever because he wasn't.
- 9:45Speaker 1: That's the problem right there, the fact that he wasn't looking.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Or is it a problem, yes, Mikey, is.
- 9:50Speaker 10: CB Buckner taking money from whoever is developing the robotic umpires,
- 9:55Speaker 10: like because he's like, Hey, here's what we need you
- 9:57Speaker 10: to do. You just have to go out there and
- 9:59Speaker 10: make it a joke that they can only come to us.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Yes, don't look, he's raising the salary for the replay
- 10:06Speaker 5: umpires right now.
- 10:07Speaker 3: You know.
- 10:07Speaker 5: The second thing that I thought of when I heard
- 10:09Speaker 5: all this and saw this C. B. Buckner stuff. Is
- 10:12Speaker 5: there another CB that you know in the world who
- 10:16Speaker 5: goes by the initials c B.
- 10:18Speaker 3: It sounds like a guy who would write a book.
- 10:20Speaker 3: It sounds like an author.
- 10:21Speaker 6: Yes, it sounds like a norm de plume. It sounds
- 10:23Speaker 6: like a fake name. Just yes, hell whatever, didn't pirates
- 10:32Speaker 6: have those?
- 10:33Speaker 3: Well? What is it? Say it again? Slowly by the.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Way, nom de plume.
- 10:38Speaker 7: Okay, so this is going to come as no surprise.
- 10:43Speaker 3: No, yeah, go ahead.
- 10:45Speaker 7: Carolina had an assistant coach named CEB McGrath who played
- 10:48Speaker 7: basketball at Kansas. Then he got hired as the UNC
- 10:51Speaker 7: Wilmington head coach twenty six and fifty eight, fired after
- 10:56Speaker 7: looks like three years at UNC.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Wh No, to plume is a pseudonym. You know what
- 11:00Speaker 6: that is?
- 11:01Speaker 3: No?
- 11:03Speaker 5: Do you know that the most famous apparently the most
- 11:06Speaker 5: famous CB in history, which I believe C. B. Buckner
- 11:09Speaker 5: takes the cake. Here is an athlete, to believe it
- 11:11Speaker 5: or not, a sportsman and a teacher.
- 11:13Speaker 6: Who shows you how old he is. They call him
- 11:14Speaker 6: a sportsman.
- 11:15Speaker 7: C B.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Fry Wow considered is a British considered one of the
- 11:19Speaker 5: greatest British athletes of all time.
- 11:21Speaker 3: And he was a teacher as well.
- 11:22Speaker 6: A teacher as well.
- 11:23Speaker 3: It's more like a teacher.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Who just kind of got lucky by happenstance.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Also decent baseball.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Listen at that time is he had to work two
- 11:36Speaker 1: jobs sometimes three, just to make ends meets.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Everyone knows he was an English sportsman, a teacher, a writer,
- 11:42Speaker 5: an editor and a publisher.
- 11:44Speaker 6: He's best remembered for his career as a cricketer or cricketer.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Is a cricketer cricketer Might you get on that cricket
- 11:52Speaker 5: cricket five player.
- 11:57Speaker 6: But would you guys.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Believe me if I told you that D. B. Buckner
- 12:00Speaker 5: had some competition for the worst let's say, refereeing in
- 12:04Speaker 5: an American professional sport last night.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Sounds hard to believe because up for NBA talk.
- 12:10Speaker 6: Yet well, no, it's just one quick call. Tony Brothers,
- 12:13Speaker 6: who there it is, I would.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Say famously, maybe infamously is just known for putting his
- 12:20Speaker 5: I don't know his personality and his own feelings in
- 12:23Speaker 5: front of actually the game right, So he gets very
- 12:27Speaker 5: into the game personally the way you shouldn't, right. Asar
- 12:31Speaker 5: Thompson from the Detroit Pistons yesterday was playing defense and
- 12:34Speaker 5: it's like a twenty point game. The Pistons are up
- 12:37Speaker 5: and a sar reaches over to try to swap the
- 12:39Speaker 5: ball from somebody. The ball gets loose, and immediately Tony
- 12:43Speaker 5: Brothers calls a foul. Assar Thompson turns to his bench
- 12:47Speaker 5: immediately and signals the replay call technical foul. What and
- 12:55Speaker 5: the Pistons did challenge the call, They won the challenge.
- 12:59Speaker 5: They challenge a call, They won the challenge. But Tony
- 13:02Speaker 5: Brothers almost immediately knew that signal a little too disrespectful
- 13:07Speaker 5: for me technical foul even though I got the call wrong.
- 13:11Speaker 5: So it was as if cbe Buckner would have awarded
- 13:14Speaker 5: the opposing team a base after getting his call wrong,
- 13:18Speaker 5: because damn it, his.
- 13:19Speaker 6: Feelings were hurt.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Listen, you're gonna miss the no look punch out when
- 13:23Speaker 1: it's gone. I'm telling you, you don't think you're gonna
- 13:25Speaker 1: miss it, but when it's gone, you're gonna miss it,
- 13:28Speaker 1: and you're gonna wish you had C. B.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Buckner back.
- 13:30Speaker 5: I think that's the first one I've ever seen, though
- 13:32Speaker 5: I don't know if I'm gonna miss it. I've never
- 13:34Speaker 5: seen one before.
- 13:35Speaker 1: So there the outfielder on the Rays. I hope he's
- 13:37Speaker 1: still on the raise. And I don't know how to
- 13:38Speaker 1: pronounce his last name? Is it Randy? A Rose Arena?
- 13:42Speaker 4: He's a Marin heros are what?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Wow? He was a Ray though?
- 13:46Speaker 1: Right?
- 13:47Speaker 4: Yes?
- 13:47Speaker 6: Like so he's famously cal Rally's teammate.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Okay, so I'm all for the new system if this
- 13:55Speaker 1: is going to be the case. Because I was listening
- 13:58Speaker 1: and I can't remember what show it is, and I
- 13:59Speaker 1: have apologize, but someone was telling a story that a
- 14:03Speaker 1: Rose Arena the Mariner tapped his hat after a strike
- 14:07Speaker 1: three call, and that means he wanted to challenge it
- 14:09Speaker 1: and didn't even wait for the challenge to happen.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Started walking down.
- 14:13Speaker 1: The first baseline, taking off his elbow pad, taking off
- 14:16Speaker 1: all the stuff he needs to take off, and tossing
- 14:18Speaker 1: it to the dugout because he knew he was right
- 14:21Speaker 1: and the umpire was wrong.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I am all for that. That is how you do it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: If that's the way players are going to do it,
- 14:29Speaker 1: if they're going to make the umpires just look like
- 14:31Speaker 1: complete jackasses.
- 14:32Speaker 6: Yeah, you gotta pimp the abs call.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yes, that's a good move, but it really is just
- 14:38Speaker 1: walking because you're so confident in your eye over the
- 14:41Speaker 1: umpire's eye, and you're so confident the machine is going
- 14:45Speaker 1: to overturn that call. Yes, hell, you had something there.
- 14:48Speaker 7: I was gonna say we could. We could go to
- 14:49Speaker 7: the baseball bunker if you want a quick update.
- 14:52Speaker 9: Really, yeah, talk to me about Well, you're there, so
- 14:55Speaker 9: give it to us.

- 16:14Speaker 6: You don't call him Ulysses, right.
- 16:16Speaker 8: We call him Uhli for short.
- 16:18Speaker 6: There you got a boy.
- 16:19Speaker 5: That's why Ulysses, his wife would have said, Uli, I
- 16:21Speaker 5: can't do this, not Ulysses.
- 16:23Speaker 8: No, No, you had too many syllables. But you guys
- 16:26Speaker 8: are talking TV dinners, stuffers, meat, lasagna, und speeded champ
- 16:31Speaker 8: of TV dinners. It made me wish that I knew
- 16:33Speaker 8: about those back when I was in college. Instead, we
- 16:36Speaker 8: just kept like a box of corn dogs in the oven,
- 16:39Speaker 8: just grabbed one when we wanted to eat something, Which
- 16:41Speaker 8: leads me to my question, what is the saddest meal
- 16:44Speaker 8: you can remember having? Where you remember thinking to yourself
- 16:48Speaker 8: as you're eating. I gotta get better than this someday, right, Yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Mine was today.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Do you have a nominee out?
- 17:00Speaker 8: Oh yeah, that's why I mentioned the corn dogs, because.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I know the corn dogs that Okay, I mean romen
- 17:04Speaker 1: noodles comes to minds.
- 17:07Speaker 5: I used to really like a frozen dinner man, like
- 17:10Speaker 5: if they if there was a decent frozen dinner that
- 17:12Speaker 5: would sort of mimic a turkey Thanksgiving meal, I could
- 17:15Speaker 5: eat that seven days straight.
- 17:17Speaker 6: From like ages eighteen to twenty five, I used.
- 17:20Speaker 8: To buy those fifty cent banquet pot pies, those hits
- 17:25Speaker 8: the spot, Like I still buy those to this day.
- 17:27Speaker 8: They still cost like seventy five cents.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Now, you haven't lived until you've gone to seven eleven
- 17:33Speaker 1: after a strip club and gotten a hot dog. I mean,
- 17:38Speaker 1: do you remember the Hungry Man by the way, So
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'm told, I mean a friend told me about that.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I didn't actually do what a friend told me, and
- 17:43Speaker 1: he said, you haven't lived until you've done that, and
- 17:45Speaker 1: so thank you to that friend.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I'll get around to doing it.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Hungry Man. Frozen dinners used to make me feel like
- 17:50Speaker 6: a real man, like.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Ah, this is what the guys, a little side of
- 17:54Speaker 1: mashed potatoes, some stuffing.
- 17:56Speaker 6: And the proper portions and everything. I was like, yeah,
- 17:59Speaker 6: it was.
- 17:59Speaker 2: A man.
- 18:01Speaker 3: I used to be. I used to be obsessed with
- 18:03Speaker 3: hungry mantainners.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I would beg my mom to get them because they
- 18:06Speaker 1: were I love the little portions you got, like a
- 18:07Speaker 1: little dessert sides.
- 18:10Speaker 5: You had the green beans that were just like steamed
- 18:13Speaker 5: into oblivion.
- 18:14Speaker 6: They didn't always warm up evenly like.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Some You got to peel back that little corner that
- 18:22Speaker 1: you gotta mix them.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Up a little bit.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Yeah, the people don't know.
- 18:25Speaker 5: You got to peel back the plastic, mix it up
- 18:28Speaker 5: a little bit, then put it back in there.
- 18:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Why was Taylor asking me during the break if they
- 18:33Speaker 1: have sports radio in Italy?
- 18:36Speaker 7: Well, I asked that because Italy has now failed to
- 18:40Speaker 7: qualify for their third straight World Cup. Yes, and as
- 18:46Speaker 7: a country, as an Italian, we're at a crossroads right now.
- 18:50Speaker 7: And since we're at these crossroads, it's time to focus
- 18:53Speaker 7: all our attention on baseball.
- 18:56Speaker 6: It's a baseball country.
- 18:57Speaker 7: Now, invest all all of our resources back in Francisco,
- 19:02Speaker 7: Cervelli and the boys in Blue, and let's get ready
- 19:06Speaker 7: because the next World Baseball Classic will be here before
- 19:08Speaker 7: we know it.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Now.
- 19:09Speaker 5: The pasquatch, right, Yeah, maybe put something on the Italian
- 19:12Speaker 5: flag that looks like a sasquatch.
- 19:15Speaker 6: Yeah, of all about that.
- 19:16Speaker 5: But Stuart's very confusing with Italy, right because not the
- 19:22Speaker 5: last time they qualified for the World Cup, but the
- 19:24Speaker 5: time before that that they qualified for the World Cup.
- 19:26Speaker 6: Yeah, they won the thing.
- 19:28Speaker 3: I thought they were soccer power.
- 19:30Speaker 6: Yes they were.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I mean Boggio, that's all I know.
- 19:32Speaker 5: I just think that now it's just a little too
- 19:34Speaker 5: hard to qualify in Europe, perhaps because I mean.
- 19:36Speaker 6: They lost you know who they lost too student, No,
- 19:39Speaker 6: I thought you might have known. They lost to Bosnia Herzegovina.
- 19:43Speaker 3: They had to play two countries. I mean that's unfair.
- 19:49Speaker 4: It is confusing the Bosnia n Yeah.
- 19:52Speaker 5: Some people write the actual and some people just put
- 19:55Speaker 5: out a dash. But I think people use that joke
- 19:57Speaker 5: with Trinidad and Tobago. But it hits every time.
- 19:59Speaker 3: This country, these two countries get to combine rosters.
- 20:02Speaker 1: They don't have enough for one roster? Is that why
- 20:04Speaker 1: they do it? So they're playing a combined team of
- 20:07Speaker 1: all stars essentially, Yeah, right from those two countries.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Yeah, that hurts.
- 20:11Speaker 5: The Govina is really real soccer power house that they
- 20:14Speaker 5: get the combine with Bosnia.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Who would be the big sports radio host in Italy?
- 20:19Speaker 1: I say, Jim Rome. It's what he should do for
- 20:27Speaker 1: his second act. Just co dominate Italy. Just call yourself
- 20:32Speaker 1: Jim Roma, you know, just just make it a little
- 20:34Speaker 1: bit more authentic.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Truth be told.
- 20:37Speaker 5: Yeah, Stu told that joke during the break off the
- 20:39Speaker 5: top of the dome, and it's even.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Funnier the second time he did.
- 20:49Speaker 5: He set himself up for it, slow pitched it, hit it,
- 20:53Speaker 5: himself left the park.
- 20:55Speaker 3: So they have to play two countries.
- 20:58Speaker 7: But Stude, this is kind of like when you went
- 21:00Speaker 7: to Australia, remember, and you were considering starting a radio
- 21:04Speaker 7: career in Australia.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I still am.
- 21:07Speaker 7: Yes, I think there's a lane for me to go
- 21:10Speaker 7: to Italy and become like the mad dog of Italian
- 21:13Speaker 7: sports radio.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Are you doing this an Italian? Or in Englishma?
- 21:19Speaker 4: And then I sign off.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Every day.
- 21:24Speaker 6: He give nothing but updates on some fan peccio.
- 21:27Speaker 5: But to Miami, is there any substance or is that all?
- 21:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 21:37Speaker 5: Vinnie Pascatino, Mom, Mommy, Yeah, okay, I don't think we
- 21:41Speaker 5: can do that.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Would you be blasting the soccer coach today getting them fired?
- 21:46Speaker 3: What would you be doing?
- 21:47Speaker 7: Oh, I think he's I think he it's on him
- 21:50Speaker 7: today to resign. Italy should not have to fire this guy.
- 21:54Speaker 7: This guy has to resign.
- 22:03Speaker 2: MoMA me.
- 22:05Speaker 3: That should be the name of the show.
- 22:08Speaker 6: Famously a movie named MoMA Mia, which it might get
- 22:11Speaker 6: confused with.
- 22:12Speaker 3: So you just trop that out there.
- 22:13Speaker 1: You take phone calls from for people in Rome, in Florence. Uh,
- 22:18Speaker 1: and we fire the soccer coach again, and we all
- 22:20Speaker 1: agree that the soccer coach would resign before they fire
- 22:23Speaker 1: him because he let the country death.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Let's go to Bruno and Putiniano.
- 22:26Speaker 6: What do you got riva deci.
- 22:32Speaker 10: Bruno goes on a three minute rant and Italian tailor
- 22:35Speaker 10: doesn't speak it and then just goes rivender.
- 22:37Speaker 6: That's his whole show.
- 22:39Speaker 5: You know, we used to be a great country with
- 22:41Speaker 5: the flopping, and now we can't flop anymore.
- 22:43Speaker 6: This is terrible. We can't make it to the World Cup.
- 22:45Speaker 3: I'd even been there fifteen chares.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, the guy would be the
- 22:49Speaker 1: number one rated show Men twenty five to fifty.
- 22:52Speaker 6: Four in Rome, hosted by the VIP.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 23:02Speaker 2: Live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm pacifics.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. That is eight
- 23:19Speaker 1: seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Is He I made
- 23:24Speaker 1: a comment a few weeks ago about Luca never winning
- 23:27Speaker 1: a championship. I have a feeling I might be wrong,
- 23:31Speaker 1: that I could be as I could be wrong as
- 23:32Speaker 1: soon as this season, because the Lakers look really, really good.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And if Lebron is willing to be the third player
- 23:39Speaker 1: on that team, and right now he is, if he's
- 23:41Speaker 1: willing to be Horace Grant or Dennis Rodman to Austin
- 23:44Speaker 1: Reeves and Luca, they have a shot.
- 23:47Speaker 3: They really do.
- 23:47Speaker 6: Horace Grant, a famous relative of Ulysses.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Missus Grant didn't like Missus Lincoln. That is so good.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you, Missus Grant is a saint. Normally it's
- 24:01Speaker 1: the guy trying to get out of plans. By the way,
- 24:03Speaker 1: if you're gonna hang out with someone you don't like,
- 24:04Speaker 1: you do it at a theater, right You don't have
- 24:06Speaker 1: to talk to him?
- 24:07Speaker 6: Right there? You go? Yes?
- 24:09Speaker 1: I also I want names for Taylor's show in Rome
- 24:12Speaker 1: eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
- 24:15Speaker 1: ninety nine on Fox. I'm not certain Lucas shouldn't be
- 24:17Speaker 1: the MVP this year. I'm certain you're going to disagree
- 24:20Speaker 1: with me.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Though, No, it's not it's not that difficult, not that
- 24:24Speaker 5: far back from the truth, to be honest, Like I
- 24:26Speaker 5: was laughing about this because of Wemby's three pronged MVP
- 24:33Speaker 5: case that he gave the other day in the post game.
- 24:36Speaker 6: Which he was asked specifically about it, like you know,
- 24:39Speaker 6: give me a serial three ks or three.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Reasons why you should be MVP, and he gave them all,
- 24:43Speaker 5: and there was some some varying responses to that. You
- 24:45Speaker 5: had Draymond Green saying it was an embarrassment for him
- 24:47Speaker 5: to say that, as if he's the first person that
- 24:50Speaker 5: ever thought that defense is for you know, it was
- 24:52Speaker 5: half of the game, which I don't actually agree with.
- 24:54Speaker 6: But if you look at.
- 24:56Speaker 5: The what happened there is it felt like people decided, Okay,
- 25:00Speaker 5: if Wemby is forcing me to do this, let me
- 25:03Speaker 5: dig in and let me see who's MVP.
- 25:05Speaker 6: And at least that definitely happened for me and to me.
- 25:08Speaker 5: What Wemby's big case, his big closing argument for MVP,
- 25:14Speaker 5: got him or will get him.
- 25:17Speaker 6: Is a solid fourth place that it's in the MVP.
- 25:20Speaker 5: I think you're right about that, behind Shay Gildons, Alexander one,
- 25:24Speaker 5: Luka Doncic two, and Nikola Jokic three.
- 25:27Speaker 6: Yes, and it's.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Not that he has not been dominant over this last stretch.
- 25:32Speaker 6: I think I just told you this over the break.
- 25:33Speaker 5: I think the numbers are twenty five out of the
- 25:35Speaker 5: last twenty six games that he has played.
- 25:37Speaker 6: In the Spurs have won.
- 25:39Speaker 5: Yes, you know that one loss Taylor to the knick Knicks.
- 25:43Speaker 5: So like all that is, you know, it's important. You know,
- 25:46Speaker 5: it's a great case for him for MVP. But the
- 25:50Speaker 5: MVP case doesn't start in mid February, just like it
- 25:54Speaker 5: doesn't end in mid February, like a lot of people
- 25:57Speaker 5: want to do. They just make their case and then
- 25:58Speaker 5: they just stop thinking about it. But throughout the entirety
- 26:02Speaker 5: of the season, Vic just isn't the MVP. Ye Like
- 26:05Speaker 5: he had that minutes restriction for a while there when
- 26:08Speaker 5: he came back from an injury and was playing twenty,
- 26:10Speaker 5: you know, twenty some minutes a game, to the point
- 26:12Speaker 5: where now he's playing for the season thirty less than
- 26:15Speaker 5: thirty two minutes a game when all the other guys
- 26:17Speaker 5: are playing, the other three contenders are playing thirty three
- 26:19Speaker 5: and a half four more. Yes, right, and you've got,
- 26:22Speaker 5: you know, obviously sort of the heliocentric offense. I know
- 26:26Speaker 5: you know what that means around Luca. That is Luca
- 26:28Speaker 5: Dancits and the Lakers. How much he is responsible for
- 26:31Speaker 5: what they do. Yes, he's got Austin Reeves. Yes he's
- 26:34Speaker 5: got Lebron James, but he is the number one A,
- 26:38Speaker 5: B and C options in La Lucas.
- 26:40Speaker 6: So it's a lot of weight he's got to carry.
- 26:43Speaker 5: And he has been spectacular, like unstoppable over the last month.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Taylor put it on a poll, well Wemby's MVP lobby
- 26:52Speaker 1: and get him a solid fourth place finish, because I think,
- 26:55Speaker 1: I think is he is right about this sports media
- 26:57Speaker 1: as a whole. We don't like to be told what
- 27:00Speaker 1: to do. We'll tell you who the MVP is, don't
- 27:03Speaker 1: tell us, and don't state your case as to why
- 27:06Speaker 1: you're the MVP. The more you do it and the
- 27:08Speaker 1: longer it is, the more unlikely it is.
- 27:10Speaker 3: That I'm going to vote for you.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I think he is dead on With this, Taylor has
- 27:14Speaker 1: the MVP odds courtesy of our friends over at FanDuel.
- 27:17Speaker 7: So the MVP favorite is still Sga minus four fifty.
- 27:22Speaker 7: In second it is Victor Wembinyama at plus three point fifty,
- 27:27Speaker 7: Luca is plus three thousand, and then Nikole Jokich is
- 27:31Speaker 7: plus ten thousand.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Yeah, that is for the betters, because I think if
- 27:37Speaker 5: you were to ask several.
- 27:40Speaker 6: MVP voters or Awards voters.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Probably outside of Texas, I think he'll get pretty much
- 27:45Speaker 5: the top four that I'm giving you in large part,
- 27:48Speaker 5: again not to say that he has not been dominant lately,
- 27:50Speaker 5: not to say that he hasn't played like an MVP lately,
- 27:53Speaker 5: but you have to give the entire picture, and there
- 27:56Speaker 5: was a segment of the season where he was not
- 27:58Speaker 5: as available even though he was playing games.
- 28:02Speaker 10: Sounds to me like you're saying, throw a little sprinkle
- 28:04Speaker 10: on Luca at those odds when you had him second.
- 28:06Speaker 4: That's what I'm here.
- 28:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, look, I don't think he's going to
- 28:09Speaker 5: overtake SGA. SGA's efficiency this year has been ridiculous. He's
- 28:13Speaker 5: shooting fifty five fifty six percent from the field. He's
- 28:16Speaker 5: doing that in a season where his co all star
- 28:19Speaker 5: in Jalen Williams, has not played a whole lot, and
- 28:22Speaker 5: the other guy that they considered a big three and
- 28:24Speaker 5: chet Holmgren has not had a let's say, spectacular season,
- 28:27Speaker 5: and yet he's been more efficient and his team is
- 28:31Speaker 5: still on top of the standings in the Western Conference.
- 28:33Speaker 6: I think it's a done deal. SGA is the.
- 28:36Speaker 5: MVP, but if anybody was going to catch him with
- 28:40Speaker 5: a late run, it was going to be Luca because
- 28:42Speaker 5: the way he is absolutely dominating that team. The things
- 28:45Speaker 5: that Victor Webbin Yama has improved a lot in the
- 28:47Speaker 5: last couple months. His rebounding numbers are going through the
- 28:49Speaker 5: roof lately, and obviously just his presence and the way
- 28:53Speaker 5: they play offense with him is improving. But in terms
- 28:57Speaker 5: of the one reason why they're team is where they
- 29:01Speaker 5: are most, you know, more so than anybody else, I
- 29:04Speaker 5: think it's clearly SGA and Wemby's in fourth place, man,
- 29:07Speaker 5: because you got to look at those Jokic numbers and
- 29:10Speaker 5: stop being bored by them.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but SGA leads a league in boring, and you're saying,
- 29:14Speaker 1: in this case, being boring is going to help SGA
- 29:17Speaker 1: lay in the MVP, And I think you're probably right
- 29:19Speaker 1: just by not saying, well, I don't.
- 29:20Speaker 5: Think the voters worry about being boring necessarily, at least
- 29:23Speaker 5: they shouldn't know.
- 29:24Speaker 7: Yeah, so it looks like he's number one in efficiency
- 29:27Speaker 7: and then also first in ZZZ plus.
- 29:29Speaker 5: G Ritz is not a factor when it comes to MVP.
- 29:34Speaker 5: It might be a factor when it comes to television ratings,
- 29:36Speaker 5: but not to MVP.
- 29:37Speaker 1: But if I wasn't hosting a radio show right now live,
- 29:39Speaker 1: I would come in there and hug you.
- 29:41Speaker 3: I mean I really would.
- 29:43Speaker 5: ZZZ Plus he got called for an offensive foul in
- 29:48Speaker 5: the game that they ended up winning an overtime, But
- 29:49Speaker 5: he got called for an offensive foul on a potential
- 29:52Speaker 5: game winner that was the most meek of pushoffs that
- 29:57Speaker 5: you'll ever see. But because of his rep reputation as
- 30:00Speaker 5: the pushoff guy, even though everybody does it, he got
- 30:03Speaker 5: that offensive foul called against him. And I'm telling you, Stu,
- 30:06Speaker 5: it's that reputation and those calls, those little fifty to
- 30:10Speaker 5: fifty calls that are going to go against the Thunder
- 30:12Speaker 5: in these playoffs, right, I'm telling you it's going to.
- 30:14Speaker 6: Contribute to them not winning a Championship.
- 30:16Speaker 1: By the way, Jokich second place ZZZ plus two boring superstars,
- 30:24Speaker 1: He's oh.
- 30:26Speaker 5: I get the SGA bored them stuff like, oh, I
- 30:28Speaker 5: don't really care how well he pivots, like that footwork
- 30:31Speaker 5: is not my fit.
- 30:32Speaker 6: But Nicola Jokic does some stuff. Man. That was this one.
- 30:36Speaker 6: That was one play where it was a nothing right.
- 30:39Speaker 5: It was an like zero point five seconds left on
- 30:42Speaker 5: the clock. They still got to go full court, and
- 30:44Speaker 5: it's like, I got Jokic, maybe we can do something.
- 30:47Speaker 5: The inbounder threw it to just a random empty space.
- 30:50Speaker 5: Jokic knew exactly where he was going, and then he
- 30:52Speaker 5: tried to in one motion just zippy forty five feet
- 30:57Speaker 5: into the basket. He didn't didn't succeed. But if anybody
- 31:00Speaker 5: in the league could do that, it's that dude. That's
- 31:03Speaker 5: not boring. You just got to watch him play and
- 31:04Speaker 5: you'll find a bunch of things that'll make you go
- 31:06Speaker 5: holy crap.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I asked the question yesterday, have we had a march
- 31:09Speaker 1: or what Luca had a march? Am I reading this correctly?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Did he have six hundred points in March?
- 31:14Speaker 6: Six hundred points?
- 31:15Speaker 5: I don't know who's the other player who have had
- 31:17Speaker 5: that many points in a month would last. I think
- 31:19Speaker 5: it was Michael Jordan one. Maybe it was Kobe, but
- 31:23Speaker 5: he's had a crazy month. And that's where I'm saying,
- 31:25Speaker 5: like a lot of people are voters, not necessarily voters,
- 31:28Speaker 5: but a lot of people who decide these things in
- 31:30Speaker 5: their heads, say, ah, they've already made their MVP decision
- 31:33Speaker 5: by the beginning of March. Maybe, but you've got to
- 31:35Speaker 5: take the whole season into consideration, especially now in today's
- 31:39Speaker 5: sort of parody NBA, where you know, there's probably five, six,
- 31:42Speaker 5: seven teams that can win a championship. So the regular
- 31:45Speaker 5: season for those teams that aren't tanking pretty darn important
- 31:48Speaker 5: all the way through the end. So you got to
- 31:50Speaker 5: consider the MVP stuff all the way through the end.
- 31:52Speaker 7: How many points did Bam wind up finishing with this month,
- 31:54Speaker 7: probably like ninety five.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Three game.
- 32:00Speaker 6: Look it up, please, I would look it up. But
- 32:03Speaker 6: if I don't like the answer, I'm not telling you.
- 32:05Speaker 12: Did you notice how quickly he rushed to Djokich his defense.
- 32:09Speaker 12: He loves the NBA and this guy, he gotta be
- 32:12Speaker 12: so mad at us because we never talked basketball until
- 32:15Speaker 12: we get to March and we don't stop talking about
- 32:16Speaker 12: college basketball, and.
- 32:17Speaker 5: The team that I want to talk about the most
- 32:19Speaker 5: is in Houston Rockets. Did you guys won't give me
- 32:21Speaker 5: any axeable?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Well, no, because we're gonna talk North Carolina because it's
- 32:23Speaker 1: March and now went to April here and Taylor is
- 32:25Speaker 1: awaiting who the next head coach of North Carolina is
- 32:28Speaker 1: gonna be. What's the update there, Taylor?
- 32:30Speaker 7: So it seems like it's coming down to Tommy Lloyd
- 32:34Speaker 7: or Billy Donovan. Wow, the floor feels like it's gonna
- 32:38Speaker 7: be Billy Donovan. Carolina ceiling seems like it's gonna be
- 32:42Speaker 7: Tommy Lloyd because he's by far Carolina's top choice who's
- 32:47Speaker 7: currently coaching Arizona, and you would think Arizona would rush
- 32:52Speaker 7: to either extend him or quiet the noise. And every
- 32:58Speaker 7: time Tommy Lloyd is asked about the North Carolina job,
- 33:02Speaker 7: he does everything but deny it.
- 33:04Speaker 13: I'm sure when you made that comment in San Jose
- 33:07Speaker 13: about there's gonna be a great coach after me.
- 33:09Speaker 4: I know you've made similar.
- 33:10Speaker 13: Comments like that before about the program history. But some
- 33:14Speaker 13: people who think taking them to think, well.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Maybe maybe he's going to go.
- 33:18Speaker 13: So what do you make of that and has anything
- 33:20Speaker 13: changed me? And as there's still is talk out.
- 33:22Speaker 11: There, it's absolutely true. There's gonna be another coach. This
- 33:24Speaker 11: is a great program. I didn't say when you know,
- 33:29Speaker 11: I mean, and people are gonna speculate all they want, Guys,
- 33:33Speaker 11: this team has my full focus. Nothing nothing, I promise you,
- 33:37Speaker 11: nothing is knocking me off that path. And you, guys
- 33:41Speaker 11: might call them distractions because you're distracted. That doesn't mean
- 33:44Speaker 11: I'm distracted or we're distracted. You know what's pretty cool.
- 33:47Speaker 11: Once you get some experience in this deal and you're
- 33:49Speaker 11: a player or you're a coach who's been at it
- 33:51Speaker 11: a while, you get pretty good at, you know, eliminating
- 33:54Speaker 11: the distractions. So I think I'm pretty good at that.
- 33:57Speaker 11: And I just can't wait to get the practice today.
- 33:59Speaker 11: I'm gonna go meet with the staff right now. We're
- 34:01Speaker 11: probably a little bit late. That's why Nate's pushing me
- 34:03Speaker 11: to get up there, and I'm going to go try
- 34:06Speaker 11: to have a good practice.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Congratulations Taylor, He's headed to Chapel Hill.
- 34:11Speaker 7: That's a lot of words there, too many, And one
- 34:15Speaker 7: of the words I didn't hear is no, I'm not going.
- 34:19Speaker 5: I just want to give this like, I think you
- 34:21Speaker 5: got a good one there, Taylor. Whenever he gets to
- 34:23Speaker 5: North Carolina, You've got an honest man, You've got to
- 34:26Speaker 5: do that's not going to lie in the face of
- 34:29Speaker 5: all these people, only to two weeks later be called
- 34:31Speaker 5: out for lying in the face of all these people.
- 34:34Speaker 6: I like this guy. Hopefully he succeeds in North Carolina.
- 34:37Speaker 7: So I don't think it's I think there's just as
- 34:39Speaker 7: good a chance that he stays at Arizona, and Arizona
- 34:43Speaker 7: and him and the athletic director could work out whatever
- 34:45Speaker 7: issues they kind of have that have kind of been
- 34:48Speaker 7: pushing him towards Chapel Hill, or that thought that's pushing
- 34:52Speaker 7: him towards Chapel Hill. But man, I feel bad for
- 34:55Speaker 7: Arizona that this is their first Final four in over
- 34:58Speaker 7: two decades, and the entire conversation around them making the
- 35:03Speaker 7: Final Four is, Hey, this great season, the coach might leave.
- 35:07Speaker 1: That's where we're at in college sports right now. It's okay,
- 35:09Speaker 1: they'll get Billy Donovan.
- 35:10Speaker 5: I mean, Taylor, in your mind, is North Carolina a
- 35:14Speaker 5: good enough job to where if he does win a
- 35:16Speaker 5: national championship this year, he will still announce a week
- 35:19Speaker 5: later that he's going to North Carolina.
- 35:20Speaker 1: So this is interesting because Lane Kiffin had a chance
- 35:23Speaker 1: to win a national championship. It really depends on the
- 35:25Speaker 1: coach and how much this stuff matters to them, Right,
- 35:28Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin cared about being the head coach of LSU,
- 35:31Speaker 1: even though I'm not certain there's much of a difference
- 35:33Speaker 1: anymore in terms of where you are a head coach.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I think the advantages are the same at Mississippi as
- 35:39Speaker 1: they are probably at LSU. So I don't know Tommy
- 35:43Speaker 1: Lloyd at Hall and I don't know how important it
- 35:45Speaker 1: is to him to be the next head coach at
- 35:48Speaker 1: North Carolina, And that's the important part.
- 35:49Speaker 6: I think.
- 35:50Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I think Arizona has the capability to
- 35:54Speaker 7: match North Carolina from a financial perspective. It just kind
- 35:59Speaker 7: of comes down to what Tommy Lloyd's preferences. And I
- 36:02Speaker 7: think that that fractured relationship that he might have with
- 36:05Speaker 7: their athletic director is really going to be the thing
- 36:07Speaker 7: that if they could figure it out, he stays at
- 36:10Speaker 7: Arizona because Arizona has kind of proven with Tommy Lloyd,
- 36:13Speaker 7: you're going to be this final four program. Or if
- 36:16Speaker 7: Tommy Lloyd does have some concerns about the stability of
- 36:19Speaker 7: that athletic program. What's waiting for you on the other side,
- 36:23Speaker 7: one of the best jobs in college basketball in North Carolina.
- 36:26Speaker 5: All right, some details about Luka Danci six hundred points
- 36:28Speaker 5: in March. Michael Jordan holds the record from most points
- 36:32Speaker 5: in a single NBA March with six hundred and seventy six.
- 36:36Speaker 5: He did that in nineteen eighty seven and he was
- 36:37Speaker 5: a baby. And Kobe Bryant in two thousand and six
- 36:41Speaker 5: had five hundred and seventy eight points in March. Bam
- 36:44Speaker 5: out of BAIO this March, despite scoring eighty three points
- 36:48Speaker 5: in one game, had three hundred and sixty three points.
- 36:50Speaker 3: HS terrible.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I mean he went back to being BAM after that
- 36:53Speaker 1: one game. You see what he did there, Taylor. He
- 36:56Speaker 1: took the whole North Carolina conversation away from.
- 36:59Speaker 6: You know, it was over, Taylor.
- 37:02Speaker 3: I didn't know that I would have it.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't have anything.
- 37:04Speaker 6: Else after that.
- 37:05Speaker 5: And now just like that, we can talk, will waite
- 37:07Speaker 5: if you want, but it's break time.
