- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Oh hey there.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: I'm Carly, Human Design Medium, and your guide for this podcast.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: This is Human Design IRL, where we talk to my favorite women in the world about how their human design shows up in their real lives.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: So you have actual examples as you're learning about how your design might show up in yours.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Here's a clip from today's episode.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: It was incredibly hurtful, but at the same time, it was such a pivotal thing because both of us are stubborn enough that we're like, okay, well, we're not gonna let her be right.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, of course, we also want to be married, right?
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: We love each other very much, and it's important, but that was such a catalyst for both of us to be like, damned if we will.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: So much in that.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Like, so much in that.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: And the I think it's so interesting.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: This is why different parts of your chart play together.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Before we start the episode, I want to remind you that we talk about specific channels, gates, incarnation crosses, all the stuff in every episode.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: So if you want to grab your chart, now is the time, or head to my website, human designmedium.com backslash design.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: There's a free calculator on there.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: You're welcome to use.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: All right, here we go.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: I'm Carly Arbuckle, Human Design Medium.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: And this is the Human Design IRL podcast.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Today I have a special guest, Sarah Tolson, who is truly Sarah, one of the most grounding warm presences and energies that I've encountered.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: You and I met through our dear friend Nicole in her amazing workshops.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And I've already talked about the amazing women that she draws to her, and you are one of them.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: And, you know, we've had some readings, one of which was about your beautiful one three generator self.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: I'll let you introduce yourself because I I have a lot of introductory things I could say, but meet Sarah.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Her energy is as delicious as it sounds, and here she is.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness, Carly, you are you are just the sweetest.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: As Carly said, I'm Sarah.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: I am a psychic medium and I'm a Reiki master teacher.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I'm a mom.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: I am I'm a lot of things.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Um, but right now, what I am most is excited to be here to talk to Carly.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Look at that.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: See what I mean?
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: It's like NPR.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: You have this like this quality of just speaking.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And we're talking about maybe we'll start there in your chart.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Sarah is a is a one-three generator, and she's got and also an excellent, by the way, excellent medium, excellent healer, and someone who makes a real impact on the world through just being herself.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: And I've witnessed that.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: But you have in your chart an open throat, and you also do public speaking.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And I also think you sound so like I was just listening to your podcast.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Sarah just launched a podcast, Grounded in Spirit, right?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: So look that up.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: She's just a it feels like home, that podcast.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: I was I started writing a review and I was like, I need to listen to more of these so I can be more articulate because there's only a couple of them out right now, but it just feels homey in a way that I haven't experienced on a spiritual podcast.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: And that was anyway, but one of the things I admired most is your ability to be so articulate and your design, you have an open throat.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: You're a sacral generator, which means that your intuition comes through your gut, but you have this undefined throat rather.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: I sometimes put those interchangeably, but you have a completely open heart, but your throat this means when you have an undefined part of your chart, it's the the swoop in the puzzle piece.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: It's where you take in energy from others, and then you're gonna amplify it.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: So I maybe I haven't shared the puzzle piece analogy with you.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: I just love it.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: It came through and I think in a session, and I've been using it ever since.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: That human design, we've got these nine centers, and uh the colored in centers are like the nubs of our puzzle piece.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: It's the energy we're putting out, it's what people can see, it's what they take in.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And then you've got these swoops, these grooves, and that's where you take in and people plug into you and you experience their energy.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: And in a perfect world, what you end up doing, you you take it in, you feel it at a more exaggerated uh experience.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: And the idea is that then you reflect back to them what they're giving you, and you've gotten it in such a simple, big way that it's easy for you to reflect back to them.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: In an ideal world, the person who gets that reflection would be like, Thank you so much.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: I didn't realize that I was this way, or thank you so much.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: I didn't realize this was one of my strengths, or you know, however, we take in and reflect, because it's it's not good or bad, it just is.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: But for instance, your open, your or your undefined emotional center, you take in people's emotions when they have that defined and amplify it.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: So I have this too.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: People sometimes call me dramatic, but really what I'm doing, like when something's heightened, it's like I will, I see more, I'm reflecting it back, and then they will go higher, and they will go higher, higher, higher, higher, higher.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: So that's what all of these spaces do, right?
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: So when it comes to your throat, which is expressing yourself, it's the manifestation or the manifesting center that make things into humanity, into speech, making them happen, speaking them into existence.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: You are a voice for others.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: You amplify the voice for others.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean you don't have, you actually have three gates defined in here.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: Um so you do have when someone around you has a defined throat, you do have consistent energy here.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: When Nicole is around you, for example, you do have consistent energy here, and it would it comes in the forms of these gates.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: So I'll describe these to you really quick.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: You have a gate eight, which I'm reading my software here, you can make a difference and have a strong drive to contribute to the world through your own lifestyle, orientation, and creations.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: That connects to the uniqueness gate in the G Center, which you don't have, but when someone around you does, that's what lights up your throat.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And so you're able to support and promote the creations and innovations of others by drawing attention to them.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: That's your energy that's consistent.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: That's how that will light up for you.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: The 12 has to do with at the right time being able to speak to people's emotions.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: So you have the ability to find transformative and unique words that touch people, like your podcast.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: However, it's important to be cautious and not to succumb to the urge to speak or act when you're not in the mood.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: So it's very dependent on the emotional, it connects to the emotional gate 22.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: And said wait till you're in the right mood to express yourself creatively.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: And then so that's your energy.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: And then the 62 is you have the ability to select and organize details.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: So this is something Nicole has to basically articulate things in a more simple way for people.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: And these are all active, these are all parts of you.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: They are not consistently on.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: It depends on who you're around and the energy that you're in.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: But you, I mean, another way to put this just as an undefined throat perspective, is you're able to take in other people's energy and amplify it.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: So speaking for others, speaking for spirit, but also I know you just talked about speaking for your company.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: So how does this show up for you?
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: This this is wild.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: I didn't, I didn't put two and two together with this, but one of one of the key things that I do in my W-2 job is I I learn very complex um federal regulations that apply to our industry.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: And then I simplify them and summarize them and explain them to the pertinent people so that it makes sense, right?
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: Some of the other things that you were mentioning, the things that were coming through my mind are very often I will be participating in a meeting and there's a bunch of people talking, and you can tell one person is trying to, at least I can tell, one person will be trying to express a problem or a challenge that they're encountering.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: And the person that can help them with that isn't really understanding what they're saying.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: And I'm able to hear what, like where that disconnect is and ask questions to provide clarity to both parties so that we can make sure we're all on the same page and we're all understanding what are the challenges so we can fix them and work together.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and it's so fascinating what you mentioned about being like my emotion when I'm responding, right?
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: Because if I am not in the headspace to to have to put the emotion and the thought and the care into a response.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: So, an example, I have a client who had a loved one pass away and they're really, really struggling with this.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: And I have to be very cognizant of when I'm messaging them because I don't, if I'm not in the right headspace, my messages just aren't, they're not conveying what I want them to convey, right?
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: And so I really have to make sure that I'm well resourced, hydrated, not tired and cranky.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: And when I'm putting these responses together, because it they just don't connect the same way.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: They don't convey the same amount of energy.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: So this is just absolutely fascinating.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: And and the other thing that I'm thinking, so one thing, you you mentioned the word articulate, like you you called me articulate.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: And yes, the thing that cracks me up about that, I think, gosh, 20 some odd years ago, my brother-in-law, who we tease each other relentlessly, like in and it's all in good nature.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Um, but he started calling me Artie because I'm overly articulate and I would use like very technical terms for things.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: And so I get teased about that quite often, which funny, you know, yeah, right.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Cool.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: I I mean, I this is it never ceases to amaze truly like how these things show up.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: And actually, today um you have all of these lit up because I've got the one gate.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: So together you've got that consistent energy.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: So don't worry about your ability to do all of those things in this interview.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: But what's self-awareness?
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: I mean, it also shows you there are so many layers to just becoming the fullest version of yourself and mindfulness, and that's really where you you started in terms of your spiritual work, right?
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Is is energy, energy working, Reiki, but just sort of understanding self.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: I love that's such a huge level of awareness to know or to realize even that you need to have the right, you call it headspace, it's really the right energy.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm not saying you're wrong, but like we call every we call everything the headspace, and really what we mean is our you know, vibe.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but it doesn't mean like is this logically correct?
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: It means like am I in the right energy?
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: But I think that's just so fascinating that you all of these systems we know, you know, I know, are getting at the same thing.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but you worked through Reiki to get this level of self-awareness, or how do you think you got there?
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: I'm just fascinated by this.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I think, gosh, I don't know if there is some clinical diagnosis behind the self-awareness.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: I suspect there is.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: I I really do.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: I I really do because I noticed at a very young age that the way that I would respond or interact with other kiddos, like wasn't always received the way that I thought it was going to be.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: And so I at a very young age, I started observing how others interact and speak and different behavior patterns, and then comparing and contrasting that to myself.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: And so an example of this that you know now I think is funny.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: When I was little, it probably wasn't as funny, but I had almost a compulsion when I was young to correct my peers' grammar.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: Could not like I could not correct it, right?
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: Like it was a compulsion.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: And my reasoning and my thought process behind it was always that, well, if I was using a word incorrectly or if my grammar was improper, I would want somebody to know because I wouldn't want to sound like that.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: So wouldn't all the kids want to know as well, right?
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Turns out they don't like that, you know.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, they didn't then, but I bet they do now.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: They're speaking really well.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: So you're welcome.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: And it's so funny because my daughter does the same thing, not to the extent that I did, I think, but yeah, it's just fascinating.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: And so eventually I started picking up on the fact that kids didn't really want to play.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: The more corrections I gave, or the more factual and specific I was about things, the fewer friends I had around me.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: And so I started picking up on differences in communication and I mean behaviors and things and really paying attention to how I behaved versus how other people around me behaved.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: And so I think that really is where the self-awareness started in elementary school.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: The gifts of having heady behavior, I guess.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Like I, and that's the other thing.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, all of this overlaps.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: People ask, where do I see for me, like, where do I see ADHD in my chart?
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I could probably figure that out.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: But you also could go to a doctor and get a diagnosis, and that no matter how you come to that realization, um, you know, especially for me, rejection, sensitive dysphoria, like understanding that, you know, it doesn't matter if I see that in my chart or if I see that clinically.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: And that also is a brain function.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: I think there's a difference between what you're talking about really for me, a couple things.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: My one question at the end of this, because I uh that I think I I suspect, but I want to hear.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: First, you're a one-line, which is data-centric.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, every one line I talk to, and I've talked to a number of them on this podcast, talks about data and talks about, and three lines talk about trying things like sort of experiments.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Nicole's a one-three.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: So, you know, she's always experimenting and moving, trying something, and you all have this great, what do you call it, resilience?
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: That it's not, I mean, failure doesn't not hurt, but it you learn by figuring out what doesn't work.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: And for you, that's just okay.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: And then you move on to the next.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: And three lines are also up for a lot.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: So people usually really enjoy the presence of three lines.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: But in particular, when you have that one first, I think the data collection and the trending and seeing patterns.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: So I think that that's definitely a part of that.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: The question that I have is does that or did that when you were younger relate to your sense of being worthy?
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: You know, I don't know that it did.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm trying to think back because that was a really long time ago, longer than I'd like to admit.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Self-esteem.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: No, or like like does that relate to your sense of believing in yourself or believing that you are can, you know, I don't know.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm just wondering if it ties into one of these centers that I'm looking at.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: I don't know that it really did.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: I think it was more a piece of an equation.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: How it felt because so I have always I've learned a lot more about astrology than I have human design, and my astrology is that I'm a double Aries with a Pisces moon, which really the way that shows up for me is way more confidence than is healthy.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about that.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited to talk about this.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, go ahead.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: So I even though I would notice these things about these behaviors of other children that like they these were things they didn't really care for, or they may say things that could be hurtful.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Like I didn't really care.
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: I dust myself off and just go on about my day.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: So this is so interesting to me because you have an open heart and ego center, which means you get your sense of self-worth and self and ability to believe that you can do things or get them done from other people, from your environment.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: You take it in, you're literally open-hearted.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: And so why I want to get into this is because if you have this in your chart and someone says this to you, that's not going to feel helpful.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: It's going to feel wrong.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: So let's dig into what this is for you as a double Aries Pisces moon.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: I'll read what the open heart says in my software so that you can see it.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Are you trying to prove your worth?
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Your willpower is influenced by your environment.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Your undefined ego, it's called ego too.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Um, you can call it a heart center too.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Can make you particularly sensitive to recognition and approval, causing you to sometimes feel the need to go beyond your limits or to make promises that are hard to keep.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: This tendency to overextend yourself can arise from both a desire for recognition and a need to please others.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: It's essential for you to regularly pause and remind yourself that your worth does not depend on external validations.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: I can validate this.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: So it and I think there's a bit of a distinction because I do recall, and this is something that still, to an extent, is present in my life.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: Um, but where I sought validation and approval and recognition was always the adults in my life.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: It was never other kids.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: Ah.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: So teachers, parents, things of that nature.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: So other kids.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: It was like, yeah, whatever.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: You're you're just a kid.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: But yes, if if I got a bad grade, like that was the end of the world, or if my parents were disappointed.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Um girl, heaven forbid.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel you.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: I feel you on that.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's a neurospicy trait.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's so interesting.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: And it helps me as a practitioner to know how to describe this to people because when we think about believing in yourself, like we think about it in a peer and oriented way.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Um, not usually in an approval seeking from people we perceive as higher or as for you, those are the influential people.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: So if they don't believe you can do something, you don't believe you can do something.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Like it would be very hard for you to recover if a teacher said to you, you're not this.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Did someone ever tell you that?
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: Actually, okay.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Ooh, ooh, great story.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: Great story.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: So I throughout my life, probably around the time I was a teenager, the cards really started kind of stacking against me.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: And my husband and I, so we've been married for 25 and a half years.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: I forget that.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, amazing.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: It's a long time.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: Through a lot, yeah.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: So I was, let's see, I think I was 17.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: We found out that we were pregnant, and that was absolutely not acceptable by either of our families.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: And everybody around us had opinions, right?
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: Like all the grown-ups around us had opinions about what we needed to do or what we should do and what our options were, even though we're the ones that have to live with our decisions, right?
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: Um, and I recall one of my aunts took me to breakfast and she's like, your options are you can give your baby up for adoption or you can get married.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: Those are your choices.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: And my other aunt, my husband and I, we decided to get married, which had been the plan.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: It just got moved up a little bit.
- 22:31SPEAKER_02: Clearly, you're still married.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, yeah, right, right.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: So we decide to get married and we're planning our wedding, and you know, kind of a scary time, right?
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: You think you're 17 years old, you're pregnant, you're changing your entire life, right?
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: My other aunt, I find out, has told my mom that she gave us a year before we were divorced.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: And that was the only thing.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: I needed to know that working on my relationship was of the utmost importance because I would be damned if I was going to let her be right.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: And my right.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: And so it was, it was incredibly hurtful.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: And it felt just like, wow, there's no confidence in my decision-making abilities or my skills or anything.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, it was such a pivotal thing because both of us are stubborn enough that we're like, okay, well, we're not going to let her be right.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, of course, we also want to be married, right?
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: We love each other very much and it's important.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: But that was such a catalyst for both of us to be like, damned if we will.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: So yeah, so much in that.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Like, so much in that.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: And the I think it's so interesting.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: This is why different parts of your chart play together.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Because if you look at just an open ego heart center, you're looking at someone who struggles with believing they can do it over promises because they feel like they need to, but can't keep those promises.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: But you also have this channel of conviction, which is from this 34, this gate 34 is pure sacral power.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: I just had someone I was talking to about this, and it's like in Mario Kart when you get like the or like the mushrooms, like power up.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: It's only for you.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: You cannot do it and use it for others.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: But yours connects directly to your identity as who you are and what you can accomplish.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: This gate 10, the highest expression is like, I want to get the most out of my life.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: There's so much potential, there's so much possibility.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: I love of life that way.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: And you supercharge that with what feels right in your gut, what lights you up.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: When you are with your other aunt who's telling you to get married, or she's implying that she believes you can do it, you know, and what you experienced with that open ego center with your other.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, maybe she wasn't even around, right?
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: So it didn't even hurt you as much as it would have if she'd said it to your face.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: It didn't like hit you the way that it might have.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: But then you rely on this sacral power and sense of who you are.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: So what it says, I read this out loud for people to hear it in my software.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: The channel of conviction, when you authentically respond to life, the highest version of yourself unfolds.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: You also inspire others to recognize their uniqueness.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Your task is to remain true to yourself and your convictions, even if they may be incomprehensible to others.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: I also spirit brought this, like highlighted this the second you started talking.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: So I think there is more to this than just that.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: It's you might have, you might be susceptible to what other people like you might feel and internalize what other people believe about your worth or your sense of you know needing to prove yourself.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: But once you step out into your own power, you have this brilliant channel that is reminding you who you are and what you're capable of.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: That's very cool.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: And that's so that's so interesting to hear.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: I'm recalling another situation that happened.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: I think my son was about three or four months old.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: And so again, I'm very, very young.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: And I was out at a department store, and I don't know, I was looking going to buy diapers or something.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: I can't remember.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: But I ran into somebody that had been a coworker at one of my previous jobs.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: And he was a nice guy, and we were friendly with each other.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: And I was so excited to show my son off.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: I was so proud of my baby, right?
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: And I say, Hey, you know, look, here's my son.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: And he does this double take, and he's like, That's your kid?
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Yeah, this is my son.
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: And it there was this moment of judgment from him because I was such a young parent.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: And I remember thinking, I mean, it hurt, but at the same time, I used it really to galvanize myself and be like, no, I'm I won't be the stereotypical teen parent.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: I am going to be an incredible parent.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: I'm going to be the best parent there ever was.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: And so that sense of self, I think really has helped me in so many, so many moments in my life to pick myself up and dust myself off and keep going, but not just keep going, but build bigger, better, and stronger than I was before.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: It's returning to your knowing as an energetic being.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: It's, you know, because you experience and it's 222 here.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: You experience the, and that's actually a note, a number of balance, and they're talking about this.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: You experience the balance of getting that, taking that in and really feeling it.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: And then returning to your own energy and activating your truth.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: What is a yes for you, what lights you up?
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: That is a very god cool example.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: And you also have this 5027, which is preservation.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: So if you look at the human design, the body graph is what it's called.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: You have this emotional center, excuse me, and then you have this sacral center and the spleen, and it kind of looks like a uterus, and so it's sort of like right.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: So the way that I was taught, you have this gate of this gate of penetration over here, this six.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: And then, and this has to do with intimate relationships and you know, provocative, sort of provoking.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: It's this is called the gate of friction.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: It's me.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: I have this, and it's just like I'm a lot when you in it, I'm very intimate in a way that some people take in and some people don't.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: And then you've got you over here, this 2750.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: This is like nurturing your creation.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Um, so you've got this sense.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: This is like, so this would be called traditionally the father and the mother, but this is like and I wore my mom's sweatshirt for you today.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Oh this is this nurturing line of nurturing what you feel like what lights you up, and that goes straight into your instincts, and that's this lit up spleen here.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: So I just love what a beautiful expression of your chart.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: Um also it shows the beauty and and not the scariness of you here, you get your self-worth from other people.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: And it's that's not necessarily true because you're not just a being that does self-worth.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: It's you take in what other people think about you at a higher rate.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Whereas if you have that defined, know what you think about you and also can empower others that way.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: You know, it's just they're two different sides of the there neither is good nor bad.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: I think it's turned out to be a huge gift for you.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: Be able to like, oh, there's no guessing when it comes to how you feel and what you think of me.
- 30:13unknown: Yep.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: And you can I I mean you can internalize it and take that on as your own, but when you recognize that's not your energy, that's the power that is recognizing using it as a tool and not as truth.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Like same with with emotion.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: You can look at your undefined emotional center, and if you're feeling some sort of way, I tell people if you're at Thanksgiving is a good example, and you're like having all of these feelings, and you're like, God, what is with me?
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: If you take that as you, then you're confused and you're acting out of alignment.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: But if you take that, the way that you're saying this is you could take it as, wow, I'm really attuned to people.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: That's a gift of mine.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: I'm attuned to other people's emotions.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And I can, when I speak to them or when I'm around them, pick up on that and be very clear on it, um, which is also a way of you know navigating the world that is a gift.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: And I I think the the awareness really is the key, right?
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Because if you're not aware that you're picking up on other people's things and you think it's your own, then like how challenging could that be in the wrong circumstances, right?
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: And your your feelings and thoughts are heavily influenced by those around you, and you don't have that awareness.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: And so having the understanding of what's yours and what's isn't what isn't yours, and being able to kind of differentiate those a bit and have them inform, you know, how you move forward and move throughout the world is such a benefit and such a gift.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: And it's it is a gift to be able to pick up on things from other people at times.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: Sometimes you don't necessarily want to.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: It can be overwhelming if you identify with it.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: It can be overwhelming if you think it's yours because it feels so intense.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: And your body's first instinct is going to be to get rid of.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: I mean, like for you, you are literally um open-minded, and you have an open ajna as well, which which means that um, and you've got some gates in there, so you're not you're undefined.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: I go I interchange.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: Sorry, human design practitioners.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: I interchange those as it's like a no-no, but um, you have that undefined.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: And when you were talking about that's someone else's ideology, that's someone else's philosophy, like that is literally you.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: You can take inspiration from anyone, you can understand where anybody's coming from.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: But when you confuse that for your own self, like when you when you take that in and you're taking in someone else's way of thinking, like I mean, for you, it's gonna, it feels uncomfortable.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: It feels like different.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: You're not used to racing thoughts about for you, especially if you have someone with this gate 24, you're gonna start thinking about like why do we exist level questions and obsessing about them when you're around someone who lights this up in you, and you have this gate of ideas, which is a real uh it's a treat, it's amazing.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: And also, it as an entrepreneur feels like if you don't understand that you generate ideas based on the inspiration, like for you, based on other people's input of how they're thinking about the world, and then you have a million ideas.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Um you could also think those are for you sometimes, and they're not.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Your ideas come from what lights you up in your gut.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: But you know, you have this is you're going to, I found at least in my um in my experience that having this gate makes me feel like, oh, I gotta, I gotta, is this something I'm meant to do?
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: Is it something I meant to do?
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: Like, how is this going to affect the future?
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: How yeah.
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: Um Yes.
- 34:08SPEAKER_01: So, and and how does that okay, so I have a question.
- 34:11SPEAKER_01: How does that tie in with I I think it's something with I if you're a generator, like you need to be invited, right?
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: And so like I'm glad we're talking about this.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: Hearing people's ideas, right?
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: It like how I don't know, that's something that I'm so fuzzy on because I'm I'm trying to work on that because I do recognize that if I have an invitation to do something, it's like the floodgates open and I have all these ideas and I can just go, go, go, go, go.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: But determining what the invitation is is something that can be a challenge in the entrepreneurial space, right?
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: Like I'm I'm figuring that out.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: I'm so this is so such a good thing to talk about.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: Um, so what you're referring to is waiting for the invitation.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: That's actually the projector strategy.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: But people confuse it all the time with generator strategy, which is to respond because both of them are not initiating.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: And I was chuckling earlier because you used the word respond so many times.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: Um, that is literally your strategy.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: Um but what so like as a as a generator, people at generators be like, well, what I have to wait to respond.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: So that's sort of like waiting for the invitation.
- 35:32unknown: Yeah.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: You can be inspired.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: I look at more as being inspired by things, but being inspired by what comes to you.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: Um, so that could come from.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: I have a friend who's a many gen who puts stuff into Chat GPT just so she can have something to respond to.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, and that catalyzes her that way.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: It's more what it means is you are not meant to, because you have this energy sitting here, make something happen.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: You are inspired by something that, you know, you're like a sun as a generator.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: You draw people in, that's your aura, you're enveloping is what it's called.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: And then when as these things come to you, you yes, know them based on your sacral.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: Now, what you're talking about with these get these channels, most of the channels in our chart are projected.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: So any of these channels that you see here that are do not connect a motor center to your throat space or are connected to the sacral, these are projected.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: So this gate 11 is a projected channel.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: It does require an invitation.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: So you will find in your chart, you know, especially.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: Oh God.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, I it's funny.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: I was just looking at this to get better acquainted with it, just out of my own curiosity.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: Let me see.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: Let me see if I can find that where I just was.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, okay.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: So you can see I'm looking at all the yellow.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I'm looking at um this woman I found today.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: So I haven't vetted, but helped me out when I was curious about it.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: Her name is Jess Locke.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: She's a four-six Linux projector, just like me.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: So of course, thank you, Jess.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: Her her website's hole and unleash.com backslash human design, backslash channel types in human design.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: You can see most of these are projected channels that require someone else's energy to welcome yours before, um, and from a projector standpoint, like if you think about this as being like the projector part of you, I talk about our aura where yours is enveloping and people are drawn to you so that you can respond to them.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: Mine is like a high beam flashlight.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: So I can be very helpful, like every part of me, none of me generates and brings life force energy, but I can be very helpful if you ask me.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: Um, but if someone's in the dark and I flash my high beams at them, they are not gonna hear what I have to say.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: That's waiting for the invitation.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Um, and it has to do with, and all of these channels have to do with, um, I would say that that are projected.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: It's not for everything.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: It's for when you're giving insight, when you're getting perspective on, like from a uh projector standpoint, we have a different higher like not a higher, I think that sounds like what do you call it?
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: Hierarchical.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: It's not from a it's like room operations type of it's it's just like a bird's eye view.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: It's not a better, it's not like I'm a higher perspective, it's just a different perspective.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: And so we see things differently, which can be very helpful to get, you know, to see the forest.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: Excuse me.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: When you're a generator, you're just going, you're doing what you love, you're doing what lights you up, you're going deeper and farther.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: And projectors, when they're invited, be like, hey, can you look at this from up here to make sure it's going the way I want it to go?
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: And when we're invited, it's a good perspective.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: But if we're sitting up there like, that's not gonna work based on what you're saying that you want, like, no one wants to hear that.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: No one wants to hear your and they're not, it's not gonna make sense because they don't understand that you're coming from a different point of view.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: That makes sense.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: So you've got to value that point of view in order to be heard.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: So this channel, when you're talking about waiting for the invitation, for ideas in particular, yeah, that's a projected channel.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: That makes sense.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: And your brain and your head and your ajna, brain and your processor are for are for other people.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: They're not for you.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: So where I get stuck with this gate of ideas is I instead of turning to my or following my spleen, which is my authority, my where my intuition is housed, for you it's your gut.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Instead of just trusting your gut on what your next thing is, you get confused by this, like, well, I have all these ideas though.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: Is this, you know, as a medium, is this a download?
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: Is this an instruction?
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: Or is that you know what I'm saying?
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: Or is this, you know, and then what you do for you?
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: You could ask your gut and double check it, but like it's confusing, but this it's also very helpful, as you can imagine.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: If you have an idea generator in an office, for example, and you know, they are valued for their ideas, like that's a gift that you give.
- 40:22SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: You just are this fountain of different ideas.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Okay, I want to be respectful of your time.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and also I could talk to you forever about this.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: I mean, let me just ask Spear.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, okay.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: So two things.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is very beautiful.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: But see, now I'm just asking myself what I want to talk about, and it's like there's so many things that I could.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: First thing that I heard though you would find interesting is this cold digestion.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: So your arrows up here are where this comes from.
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: These are called variables, and they are just essentially on the left side.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: It's about how your body functions best, like physical brain, how your physical brain and this is sort of processing brain on the other side, like conscious brain.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: So here this would suggest that actually you don't need to eat regularly.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: You don't need to have a routine when it comes to taking in information in order to process it correctly.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: But it doesn't need to come to you in a certain way.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: It can, you know, processing both food and information can come to you in many different ways.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: I also wonder if intermittent fasting would work better for people who have a right arrow because they don't need a schedule of food the way that someone with like my brain does not work if I don't have nutrition.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: And I'm a gluten-free person.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: So the example I always think of is going to an event and not eating beforehand.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: If I want to be mentally on or able to process, like I can't do that.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: I've got to make sure I can't rely on the world having a gluten-free option.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: I get right, you know, so foggy.
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: But then you've got this right-facing arrow down here, which is about being flexible with your environment.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: You actually like to shake it up in terms of, you know, being spontaneous, being, you know, you're the type of person who'd be like, let's just see when we get there, let's see how we feel, let's see what, you know, for you would be what your gut feels like, like what we want to do.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: And I'll just explain these because I'm explaining them apparently.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: You're you are uh on the other side, you are a specific manifestor.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: So vision boards telling spirit specifically what you'd like works well for you.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: And then you are right facing here when it comes to processing information.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: So school is not set up like this.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: It doesn't mean you are a bad student, it just means that you really need the big picture rather than the way that things are traditionally taught with like learn the basics, then add on, add on, add on, add on.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: Um, it's yours is more of a big picture perspective zooming in.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: Also, oh well, and that's that's really interesting.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: I recall when I was in high school, I really struggled because not because I didn't understand the content, but because I could understand it very, very quickly, and then I was bored.
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: And so I remember more often than I care to admit, I would like slough school and go to the library and find things that were interesting to learn.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: Which is like so one-line energy.
- 43:26SPEAKER_00: That's so like I information makes me feel safe.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: I get the general concept and why you're teaching it to me.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: And you know, but that doesn't mean that you would get it all right on a test necessarily, but like the details, you're looking you would be more like, oh, I understand why we need to learn about, you know, I'm safe sex is like the the thing that's coming into my mind.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: Like I understand you don't need I don't need to learn about, you know, sperm egg, and then learn about how that it's like, oh, okay, sex, this is what it does.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: These are what happens when we have sex, this is the you know, got it.
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: And then you have like a test which has like those little mund for you would feel like mundane details, you know, and it's like you might get some of those wrong, but the general idea is you've grasped, you know.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: So the digestion, I think I don't know why they want me to talk about this, but um I think I know the reason.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: I think I know the reason like my stomach has been a hot mess for like very well, uh yeah.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: So this is very pertinent.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Very good.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: That's like why?
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: This is such a weird and this is the closest it.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: This is called the primary health system PHS.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: It's the closest to diet culture that human design gets.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: So I am very careful with it.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: What this really means is your brain.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: So, you know, this is that upper left arrow here.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: It really means to digest food and information well.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: You are sensitive to temperature, and so you should be eating things that are colder and unmanipulated.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: As possible.
- 45:01SPEAKER_00: But so it's important to that you drink liquids that are below your body temperatures and eat meals as unmanipulated as possible.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: So not a coffee person, maybe.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: Or like a are you are you would you rather maybe have maybe so maybe if you're having a hard time, iced coffee.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: Maybe you know, or like this would suggest, and you can experiment with it.
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, the entire human design is called an experiment, and you have a three-line in your chart, which means that you like experimenting, you like trying things out.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: But if you're wondering from a human design perspective, meals as unmanipulated as possible.
- 45:42SPEAKER_00: You talk about unprocessed, right?
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: So there's that.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: Um but you could also look at I mean, heat also manipulates it.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: I think you've been eating so many manipulated meals with hot drinks right now, Sarah.
- 46:01SPEAKER_01: It yeah, yeah.
- 46:03SPEAKER_01: So I mean, I think the biggest thing, and and this is such a frustration for me because in my mind there's the food that makes me feel good, right?
- 46:13SPEAKER_01: Which is salads or like even, you know, I might throw some quinoa in there, but it's refrigerated, right?
- 46:20SPEAKER_01: So it's not hot.
- 46:21SPEAKER_01: It's just um work, fresh fruits and vegetables and things of that nature.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: And those make me feel good and I enjoy them, but they're a lot of work.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: And so then on the other side, there's foods of convenience, right?
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: Which are, you know, maybe I DoorDash a Mexican place, right?
- 46:38SPEAKER_01: Right, right, right, of that nature.
- 46:41SPEAKER_01: And I always end up feeling terrible after as a matter of fact, we had pizza three nights ago and my stomach is still wrecked.
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: So it's it makes sense, it makes sense.
- 46:51SPEAKER_00: Let us know when you solve that mystery because I think that's another neurospicy trait that is.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, we live it in in immediate culture, but at the end of the day, my executive function is so taxed that I don't want to think about like cooking is a real struggle for me, knowing the time it takes because of time blindness, knowing how to order cooking is so hard.
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: And I'm messy the entire time, and then I'm cleaning up a giant mess at the end, which you know, I've been conditioned to hate about myself, and so I'll do that before I eat, and then I'm eating cold food, and the whole experience is not nearly as rewarding as the emotional experience of having melted cheese that I didn't have to lift a finger for, you know, like I get it.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: I I just wonder it's interesting that you talk about salads too, because that is a colder food, you know.
- 47:47SPEAKER_00: It's also the unmanipulated, so it's not like you could, you know, just put pizza in a fridge and call it a day.
- 47:52SPEAKER_00: It's right, you know that that stuff is what's going to fuel you.
- 47:55SPEAKER_00: So I guess maybe, you know, knowing what comes up if you have something really important, knowing that what you eat is really going to make a difference to your not just your physical health, but your cognitive function.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 48:09SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: Well, and it is my cognitive function because that's like literally all I can think about is the discomfort of my stomach.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: So bad.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: I'm so sorry.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: Well, there might be allergies there too.
- 48:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, like there there might be, yeah.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: There, there could be something, but no, this is so fascinating though.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: And and you're right.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, I think the unprocessed piece of it is really, really important.
- 48:34SPEAKER_01: But again, that is more work, right?
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 48:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: God, I mean, I'm trying to think of like like I this is a gluten-free thing too.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: Like people are like glue jerky or like nut bars that are glued together with honey.
- 48:51SPEAKER_00: And it's like, oh, how someone I I forget who said this once, but it's such an incredibly good point that like if food were not, if food were just literally nourishment, we would all be eating pellets.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: It's an emotional experience, and it's a huge part of our culture, and we've really integrated it into our lives.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: And so, you know, to say to someone, just go on a diet, it's not, it's not just about right, the food.
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: Like that is a huge part of human culture.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: I don't know what to tell you, other than this is what your design says.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: Like, you can look up cold digestion, you know, and see if there's a forum, truly.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: Maybe there's a forum of people because they're like everybody's experimenting with this.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: And there are all sorts of human design groups.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: I'm creating another one, really.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: Of what is what I'm the intention with this platform is is to create a space that people have examples so that when you're looking at cold digestion one three generator, yeah, you're not like, what the heck does this mean?
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, I don't know.
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:00SPEAKER_01: What does that mean?
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 50:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, I love that.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: So, how cool though, to have to have a resource.
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: So that will be amazing.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: So experiment with it.
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, last question before, and then I want you to tell everybody where to find you.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: Um, I talked to a lot of Manny Jens, and the thing that really sets you apart as generator types is you have a consistent need to go deeper, learn more, um, and you love what you love and you never stop loving it.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: Um, so what is that for you?
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: And can you speak about that thing that lights you up?
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: And it can be like it doesn't have to be, you know, I love painting, but what's the thing that generally lights you up?
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: They're saying look at your incarnation cross really quickly.
- 50:47SPEAKER_00: That would probably have to do with um pulling details together so you can understand how all the pieces work and then the environment works around you.
- 50:57SPEAKER_00: Is that fair?
- 50:57SPEAKER_00: Is that correct?
- 50:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, a hundred percent.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: A hundred percent.
- 51:00SPEAKER_01: It if there is whatever the the topic is, right?
- 51:05SPEAKER_01: Because it and there has to be an element of like I have to have some passion about a particular topic.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: So, you know, in in my day job, yes, I have that, but with spirit communication, you know, mediumship, Reiki, energy healing, all of those things, like it is so incredibly fascinating to me.
- 51:28SPEAKER_01: And what I find is like I'm just driven to learn as much as I can possibly learn so that I can take the the relevant bits and cut out all of the noise, right?
- 51:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:45SPEAKER_01: And whether that is something that I'm sharing with others or if it's something that I'm just using internally for myself, it I don't feel like I know something until I've explored every single rabbit hole and I know every single detail.
- 52:01SPEAKER_01: And so I find that very often I will go incredibly deep on things, but it but it's fun, right?
- 52:09SPEAKER_00: Like I'm I that's generator about it.
- 52:12SPEAKER_00: That's generator energy.
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's I'm trying to distinguish that because there are so many many gens on on this podcast, because that's I tend to, you know, be with a lot of many gens, but this tendency to want to go, they will go into something, be fascinated by it, and then move on.
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: Um, and so they might pull pieces together that way, but your level of expertise in that comes from this generator need to know more.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: And actually, the other part of this incarnation cross is what it's called, which is your sort of theme, purpose theme.
- 52:43SPEAKER_00: Um, you came into this world to pursue your passions and to dive into things that you can actually finish and complete.
- 52:48SPEAKER_00: And you do that by pulling all the details together so you understand how the pieces work together and how the environment around you works.
- 52:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 52:56SPEAKER_01: So I've I've got to go on just a little tangent about something because this what you just said, what you can finish and complete.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: So part of like part of the stereotypical Aries energy is wanting to do do do all the new things.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: But one thing I learned really early is that I have to be very conscientious about the things that I decide to give my energy to.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: Because if I'm not able to complete something, it just does not sit right with me.
- 53:26SPEAKER_01: It doesn't feel good.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: And so I'm I'm so conscientious about like what I mentally decide.
- 53:33SPEAKER_01: Yes, this gets my energy.
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: Because if I'm not going to be able to complete it, then it's it's you would be frustrated.
- 53:42SPEAKER_01: You're not self sign.
- 53:45SPEAKER_00: And if you do, if you do finish, it would be satisfying, which is your your sign of alignment.
- 53:52SPEAKER_00: That's awesome, Sarah.
- 53:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: Wow, what a beautiful and you're also, you know, that you're living your purpose.
- 53:57SPEAKER_00: So fantastic.
- 53:59SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, so I can plug a bunch of things for you.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: Tell everybody where to find you if you want more Sarah Tolson energy.
- 54:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, I love it.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: Best place to find me is my website, grounded harmonywellness.com, uh, or on Instagram at grounded harmony wellness.
- 54:16SPEAKER_00: And then you have new podcasts.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: And my podcast.
- 54:18SPEAKER_01: And my podcast, I forgot about that.
- 54:20SPEAKER_01: It's so new.
- 54:21SPEAKER_01: Um, podcast is Grounded Spirit, and it's on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, I believe.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: And it's delicious.
- 54:29SPEAKER_00: I've listened to everything that's come out so far.
- 54:31SPEAKER_00: So highly recommend and highly recommend Sarah's energy, especially the thing that you said at the beginning of your podcast that people who are listening to this, I mean, this is a highly specialized human design podcast.
- 54:43SPEAKER_00: So maybe not as many people here.
- 54:46SPEAKER_00: But if you are new to all this and you're like, what the actual F and how does this jive with my being a person?
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: And I don't want to be someone else.
- 54:53SPEAKER_00: Uh, I don't want to unlock, you know, I don't want to find out that I'm a medium or whatever.
- 54:58SPEAKER_00: I know it's there, but what does that mean?
- 54:59SPEAKER_00: And what's gonna like Sarah's your girl?
- 55:02SPEAKER_00: That's she, you know, has a rad haircut and a nose ring and a radiant personality that is just radiant, literally.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: That's generators.
- 55:16SPEAKER_00: You're warm and you feel cozy and homey, and I you're such a I can't wait for you to help the people.
- 55:24SPEAKER_00: I can I just feel your audience.
- 55:26SPEAKER_00: I feel them, and I'm so grateful that you're when you're speaking on your podcast, I can feel them.
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and they'll find home when they come to you.
- 55:34SPEAKER_00: So I'm excited for that.
- 55:37SPEAKER_01: Excited for you.
- 55:37SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Carly.
- 55:38SPEAKER_01: You're amazing.
- 55:39SPEAKER_01: That was that was so beautiful.
- 55:41SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 55:41SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, thank you.
- 55:42SPEAKER_00: I have an undefined throat, so it's inconsistent.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: Um well, you were spot on today.
- 55:49SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: You know why?
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: It's because you have the eight and I have the one, and so we both have a defined throat.
- 55:55SPEAKER_00: We can speak about the uniqueness of others.
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: That's what it is about.
- 55:58SPEAKER_00: So there it is.
- 55:59SPEAKER_00: Um, all right, thanks, Sarah.
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: I really appreciate you being here.
- 56:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, that was so fun.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: I'm glad.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: I'm glad.
- 56:05SPEAKER_00: I hope it helps.
- 56:05SPEAKER_00: I hope like let me know what you figure out about this cold um digestion because Spirit brought that out.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: And I was like, really?
- 56:14SPEAKER_00: There's so much more in her chart.
- 56:16SPEAKER_01: It is like, it is seriously the bane of my existence.
