- 1:32of Yours Truly Johnny Doller. The original aired eight November the seventeenth, nineteen
- 1:37fifty seven. The title The Shy Beneficiary Matter from Hollywood. It's time a
- 1:42hoor Johnny Dollar, that mcgregen, Johnny Well, Hi, bad. One's
- 1:52new. I've got a problem. This is news, not every time you
- 1:55call me up you've got a problem. What is it this time? Johnny?
- 1:57Do you ever have any trouble getting rid of getting rid of? Look,
- 2:00Pat, this is the thing I do best. I'm not so here.
- 2:04What do you mean? I got twenty five thousand dollars. I've been
- 2:07trying to give it away for two weeks, but I can't. Just a
- 2:08minute, let me take the phone for a minute. I thought you said
- 2:12you're trying to give away twenty five thousand dollars and couldn't you hurt me correctly?
- 2:15Boy, you have got a problem. I'll be right over. Bob
- 2:27Bailey in The Exciting Adventures of a Man with the Action Packed Expense Accounts America's
- 2:31fabulous freelance insurance Investigator. It is truly Johnny Dollars. Now act one enough,
- 2:43You're truly Johnny Dollars. Expense Accounts Especial Investigator, Johnny Dollars, a
- 3:01home office, Universal Adjustment Bureau, Hertford, Connecticut. Following is the kount
- 3:06of expenses incurred during my investigation of the Shy Beneficiary Matters expense account out of
- 3:15one a dollar twenty for a camp from my apartment or the offices of Universal
- 3:19Adjustment, where Pat was waiting for me, looking very snyde. Oh this
- 3:23is a real quick Johnny. Usually beneficiary is a beating down my door to
- 3:28collect. This one is playing at real court. What's the deal? Pat?
- 3:30So it starts out real simple. Two weeks ago, Miss Helen Gazeworth
- 3:35died huh and chewed for twenty five thousand. Beneficiary a man named Elijah Summer.
- 3:38So that's where my troubles start. No all idea. Can't locate scand
- 3:44locate no trace whatsoever I ort to be done. So far for the usual
- 3:47Johnny was checked death list, advertisement newspapers. All I've come up with is
- 3:52nothing. Where did you advertise? New York? That's where miss Gaysworth lives.
- 3:55Huh? Do you have any relatives? None, as far as we
- 3:58can be Germans. Any idea who this large of Summers is or why she
- 4:00picked him as beneficure up. The only lead we've got is something Miss Gay's
- 4:04Worth Landlady told it. I want that. Apparently this Miss Gay's work was
- 4:09something of an eccentric with the loan in a dingy apartment. Felt that the
- 4:14world was pretty much against her, all except to large summers landlady heard her
- 4:18mention him once or twice. It seems he's been nice to work sometime in
- 4:20the past. God, I don't know neither. There was a landlady.
- 4:25She have any idea where he could be what he's doing, if he's even
- 4:28a lot, No, But if he is, he's entitled twenty five thousand
- 4:31bucks. So we got to find him. You know, you don't have
- 4:33much to go on. Pat correction, Jenny, you mean you don't have
- 4:39anything to go on expens con aem two thirty six hours even transportation in accidentals
- 4:46to New York City. I saw the landlady, Miss Gaysworth, had moved
- 4:50in six months ago from somewhere a few blocks away. Three hours later,
- 4:54I'd located this somewhere a few blocks away. There I learned only that she'd,
- 4:59yep, moved in from somewhere else. If you've blocked away francily,
- 5:02however, a picture arose before my mind, a sweet little old lady drifting
- 5:06from place to place alone, and well I felt sorry for her. I
- 5:10also felt sorry for me, because nobody along the line had ever heard of
- 5:13Elijah Summers. Finally I turned up for her first land lady in New York.
- 5:16He remembered Miss Gaysworth mentioning something about having come from San Francisco. She
- 5:21thought item three one hundred and sixty seven dollars twenty cents plains very an incidentals
- 5:29to San Francisco. I had them four nine dollars and a half newspaper as
- 5:31in the San Francisco papers. Frankly, I wasn't very optimistic. But that's
- 5:35where I was wrong, because the very first day I got results, the
- 5:45results incidentally were blonde with brown eyes. Mister Dollar. Yeah, I'm Janet
- 5:51Blade may I, Oh my thank what're gonna do for you? You're the
- 6:00one who ran the ad about a larger summer? Yeah, that's right.
- 6:03Has he answered? That's it? Do you have any idea where he is?
- 6:09No? None at all. That's why I advertised, Look, are
- 6:12you related to mister Summers. No, I'm a friend. Well, have
- 6:16you any idea where he might be? Miss Blake? Have you ever heard
- 6:20of a little town called Southport, California. No, it's on a Yuba
- 6:26River up in the Sierras and what used to be some of the gold last
- 6:30country do you think a large of Summers might be up there? Maybe?
- 6:34What makes you think so? Just call it a hunt? That's an item
- 6:46five twenty seven to fifty rounded car to take me to the town of South
- 6:49Fork. There was just enough inhabitants to keep it from being called a ghost
- 6:55town. A collection of rams, track up buildings at a fork and the
- 6:58river Hamden all around with the mountain rankers. I looked up the local law,
- 7:00big BP, slow talking deputy shriff, name rollin Elijah Summers. Yeah,
- 7:06that's right, I'm looking for him. My name's Dollar, Johnny Dollar,
- 7:10insurance investigator, looking for Lijah Summers. Huh, that's the general idea.
- 7:15Well, good luck Dollar. What do you mean I tell you you
- 7:19find Eliji? Let me know huh, Okay, what he's wanted for?
- 7:25Murder? BacT two. If you're truly Johnny Dollar in a moment. Our
- 7:33flag now numbers fifty stars, and behind each star there stands yet another flag
- 7:39representing one of the fifty states. Rhode Island state flag is white with an
- 7:44anchor perth. Used as a colony symbol in sixteen forty seven. The motto
- 7:48hope was added in sixteen sixty four when the government was organized under a charter
- 7:53from King Charles the Second. A circle of thirteen gold stars were added for
- 7:58the original thirteen collar. This is the flag of a unique colony in state
- 8:03which carried out a most noble experiment in freedom. The Royal Charter of sixteen
- 8:09sixty three reads to hold forth a lively experiment that a most flourishing state may
- 8:15stand and best be maintained with full liberty and religious concernments. Rhode Island State
- 8:20Flag, the flag of the thirteenth state to enter the Union, was adopted
- 8:24on May nineteenth, eighteen ninety seven. Now Act two of Your Truly Johnny
- 8:30Dollar and the Shy Beneficiary matters. Now I knew why Elijah Summers was so
- 8:41hard to locate it. After all, a man who's wanted for murder isn't
- 8:46exactly going to make himself conspicuous. How come you want to find rise a
- 8:50dollar. He's a beneficiary and a life insurance policy share of twenty five thousand
- 8:54dollars. Gray the doose is not going to do him much good. Maybe
- 8:58not. Oh sure, he's gonna be brought in, tried and convicted.
- 9:01But I figured that's largely a question of time. When did this killing take
- 9:05place? Sure? Last year he went south Fork, a ranch about three
- 9:09four miles east to here at just Tyler's play is tibably the one that was
- 9:13killing? Yeah, or what happened? Well, So Elijah always was a
- 9:18funny old duck. Jess Tyner kept him around the place a couple of years,
- 9:22sort of a hired hand. I said, from a week a piece
- 9:26together, Elig and just got in an argument about some work. Eliji wasn't
- 9:30doing very good. Eligi went from crazy shot justs and took off in the
- 9:33hills. I said, yes, it's weird. It took it pretty hard
- 9:37for the better part of a year, and I guess it's been watched.
- 9:41Finally pulled out of it. This marriage just a month ago. See and
- 9:46Ben are living on the ranch straight out of town the east. Up on
- 9:50a ride, came miss it Cigure, I'm going out there. Yeah,
- 9:54I thought I might do you any idea where Elijah might have gone matter offense.
- 9:58They're gonna pretty good ideas. Yeah. Well, the next range mountains
- 10:03is a place called tough Luck Canyon. A couple of hermits in their pan
- 10:07and golds go well, they get maybe three four bucks worth a day enough
- 10:11to live on. Now, I got me a hunt to line. Just
- 10:15hold up somewhere in there. Have you been up there after these three times?
- 10:22Wow? So he's got to be careful. Elijah's main shot with the
- 10:26thirty thirty. Yes, Tara found that out, Sid. There's lots of
- 10:31places up in there for man to hide. So you've given up on him,
- 10:37dollar. I don't give up on no man. And Elijah stays up
- 10:41there long enough, he's going to get care of. One of these times
- 10:45I go up there, I'll get him. I got into my car and
- 10:52drove out to the Pine of Ranch where his little Clara and her new husband
- 10:54Ben watch a living. They were expecting me there. Rollin spoomed you were
- 11:00coming, mister Dolla, guide out. If there as much we can add
- 11:03to what he's already told you about Elijah and the kill him. Well,
- 11:05I'm sure you don't enjoy talking about him, missus watch, but I don't
- 11:09mind anymore. And mister dona and has a way of taking care of most
- 11:13things. Of course, I still can't help feeling sort of bitter about Elijah,
- 11:18but I also can't help seems for him. Yeah, sure, I
- 11:22understand. I gather that mister Tyler always treated Elijah pretty well? Did it
- 11:30cut him around here? When it really didn't? Tell you too? Then?
- 11:33How could Elijah turn on him that way? It was always pretty unpredictable.
- 11:39Oti No one really knows what the argument was about, mister Once.
- 11:45How would I get the tough La Kenyon? You you mean you're going after
- 11:48Eliza? I like to try. And I don't think that's a very good
- 11:52idea, mister Dolla, probably not, But why not? Could be dangerous
- 11:56for you? I mean, and why do it my job? I've been
- 12:03thinking about live a lot lately. An old man like that somewhere up in
- 12:07that canyon out in the open nicoles. It just isn't right. Yeah,
- 12:13Well, anyway, how do I get there? As the road takes off
- 12:16my less stow from here? You'll see if Mark winds up through the mountains,
- 12:20about three hours hike from Tough Left Canyon. Okay, thanks, Just
- 12:24one thing, mister Dollar. That's Elijah. He's a good shot, I
- 12:30know, and so do I put a thirty thirty slug in my shoulder one
- 12:33one was there night of to kill him. I was living on the next
- 12:37ranch over at the times. I was one of them that took off after
- 12:41him. He winged me from two hundred yards. Oh, I'll tell you
- 12:43for a fact, mister Dollars, you can shoot fast, you can shoot
- 12:48straight. With those cheerful words from Ben Wats ringing in my ear, I
- 12:56drove back a ton item six thirty five dollars forty cents. But I'm camping
- 13:00equipment. I figured I'd be spending a couple of nights out in the open.
- 13:03I found the so called road they told me about Flinny had just sort
- 13:07of petered out among the trees and rocks up there the Timberlaine. I started
- 13:11hoping him. Three hours later, I was over the ridge and working my
- 13:15way down the western slope of Safflo Canyon. Let me I stopped. Yeah,
- 13:20somebody was trinning me. I crossed behind some brush and waiting, and
- 13:30I run, Hey, wait a minute. You're the girl who ins in
- 13:35my aunt about Elijah in San Francisco, Jannett Janet Blake, isn't it prayed?
- 13:43I lied to you? Not my name, mister Dallas. Really,
- 13:46Janet's Tyler Tyler, Jes Tyler, the man Elijah too. He was my
- 13:52father. What are you doing here? Decided to take the law into your
- 13:56own hands. Maybe you don't understand. Yah, I don't want to harm
- 14:01Elijah, but he must be found and dropped back. While I'm with you
- 14:05there, then stay with me because I think I can lead you to him.
- 14:13What nna wait an way, if you ever end of this king?
- 14:18Now, what makes you think Elijah's around this? Think of the what well?
- 14:20Years ago Eliga dropped me up here. There's a little pocket in the
- 14:26rocks, almost the key. He liked it, said it was his price.
- 14:31I recognize the landmark. Get down, Denna. Looks like we finally
- 14:41located Elijah. The hardware act free of yours, truly, Johnny Dollar in
- 15:01a moment. It is a very well known fact that symbols are important for
- 15:07men everywhere, whether they be symbols of country, legend or honor. They're
- 15:13a cherished part of the culture and tradition of all peoples, as in almost
- 15:18all countries of the world. The people of Spain are very religious, and
- 15:22in the Spanish town of Vendrel, the people we are having difficulty with a
- 15:28symbol, a three hundred pound angel sitting on top of one hundred and fifty
- 15:33fourth church people. The angel had been there since seventeen eighty four and needed
- 15:39repairs to keep it from falling down on the heads of the parishioners. But
- 15:45one hundred fifty feet is a long way up, and three hundred pounds are
- 15:48a lot of weights to bring down. Now, there was a great deal
- 15:52of head scratching over the problem until someone casually mentioned the problem to someone else
- 16:00who happened at these stations At the United States Air Force Base in Zaragoza,
- 16:04Spain. It wasn't long before visions of a helicopter came to mind. Because
- 16:10Americans liked to help other people everywhere. The Air Force whirlibird lifted the angel
- 16:15from the church people, brought it down for repairs, and later returned it
- 16:21to its perch. So grateful were the people of Vendrel for this active,
- 16:26friendly cooperation that they held a mass celebration of American Day to show their appreciation.
- 16:33Television and newsreels carried the story of kindness so to the newspapers and magazines
- 16:37throughout Spain. This gesture on the part of the United States Air Force created
- 16:44a new symbol, a symbol of friendship and understanding that became a symbol of
- 16:49freedom the right of all men everywhere, now Act three of yours truly,
- 16:56Johnny Dollar and the shy beneficiary matters. Yeah, we found Elijah Summers,
- 17:04all right. He was somewhere in the rocks above us, there in Tablack
- 17:07canyons. And I knew the minute Jenna and I poked our heads up.
- 17:11We collect a slug. He had his pin down. But good, Johnny
- 17:17think maybe it look Jennet, I still don't understand why you were so anxious
- 17:21to find Elijah. Johnny, you could him shooting at us? Yeah?
- 17:26Right? What kind of shout did they found? Right? Matter of thank
- 17:29a small caliber? Right? Twenty two? Maybe? Like this? What
- 17:33did you get that? Twenty two? Sluts just came from Elijah's gun the
- 17:37night my father was killed. He was killed with Hey, wait a minute,
- 17:40that's why I want to talk to Elijah. That's a good idea,
- 17:42and so do I. But how I think you'll still remember my voice?
- 17:45Let me try, Okay, let's be careful, Elijah, Elijah, Yeah,
- 17:57yeah, go on, it's yet Elijah. Dammit, Tyler this Dennis
- 18:04step right, who's that dollar? Elijah, Johnny Dollar, I want to
- 18:11talk to you. I'm your friend, Please, Elijah, he's telling you
- 18:15the truth. We don't want to hurt you, but we must talk to
- 18:19you truth. Yes, you know I've never lied to you. You there,
- 18:27Jarous, you pass it out. You well if we get wrong about
- 18:37Elijah with you, does know I'm not wrong about him. Okay, here
- 18:41it is here about okay Elijah? Hell yeah, oh you Lia. You
- 18:59look he's been up here all this time, living, living like an animus.
- 19:06Aren't sure about me, Nona. I have been getting along pretty good
- 19:10up here, by the looks of you. I haven't getting much food enough
- 19:14to keep my eyes sharp. Mister. Oh, I see that Tavie sheriff
- 19:18fella come poking around here time or two. He didn't even come close,
- 19:22and if he had a I taid have parted him. He was. That's
- 19:29what I wanted to talk to you about, Elijah. That rifle of those,
- 19:32it's a good mission. I remember when you gimme it two three years
- 19:37ago for the grounds crew. Elijah. Have you ever had any other rifle
- 19:41besides that twenty two? Nope, you're sure about that, of course,
- 19:45I'm sure you see here. I've took good care of it too, and
- 19:52I kept get clean and polish yeah. Look now, Elijah, have you
- 19:59ever used any other rifle besides that one? Nope, Jennet, your father
- 20:03was killed a thirty thirty. I know, Jane, that twenty two slug
- 20:07you showed me a while ago. You said you got it to night your
- 20:10father was killed, and it came from Elijah's gun. I thought someone private
- 20:17slug out of his own shoulder the night of the Sais. He threw it
- 20:21away, he didn't notice. I was watching. Later I heard him tell
- 20:25it around. He'd been hit with a thirty thirty slug. You mean your
- 20:27stepfather, Ben? What I was copied? I didn't understand when it came
- 20:34to me then, what was the one who killed my father? Elijah?
- 20:40Elijah was probably trying to protect Dad and shot Ben with his twenty two.
- 20:45There was a big fight, miss Jannet. I don't just remember what all
- 20:48happened, except all of the seaden They was chasing me. I wasn't sure
- 20:55Ben figured to get penn the killing on somebody like Elijah who wouldn't have a
- 20:57chance proving his innocence. Elanjaz, have you seen Ben since you ran away?
- 21:02A sure? Oh? Ben's come poking around here too, where he
- 21:06so off ninety smiled free here. Sure it's figures, Jennets. Elijah's a
- 21:11threat to Ben as long as he's alive. So Ben comes hunting up here
- 21:15every now and then. The car cat gotta be real careful because I only
- 21:18got a twenty two and he's got a thirty thirty. Right, he never
- 21:23get a light? You believe? You mean he won't get it? Got
- 21:30to keep quiet. The shot had come from a clump of rocks more than
- 21:33one hundred yards away. I scooped up my automatic where I'd thrown it on
- 21:37the ground and started circling slowly, trying to get around behind the clump of
- 21:40rock. I'd almost made it when my foot float comesent a rock down the
- 21:42slope. He popped up them ready to shoot, but lucky for me,
- 21:45his first look was toward the rock instead of me. He saw his mistakes,
- 21:48hunging his rifle toward me, but he was too late. Janny,
- 21:53Johnny, All right here, Jennet, how's the light you? So he's
- 21:57all right though? Johnny? Yeah, it's Ben watched all right? Is
- 22:03he still alive? Oh yeah, he'll keep long enough. Expense account total
- 22:12four hundred and ten dollars even remarks, well, I turned ben Watch over
- 22:17to the local wall and I helped Old Elijah fill out his claim for the
- 22:21twenty five thousand dollars insurance moneymus Gazeworth had left him. It ought to keep
- 22:25him real comfortable for the rest of his life. You know that, once
- 22:29in a while I get the feeling that this job of mine is worthwhile.
- 22:32After all, you're still the Johnny Dollars. Our star will return in just
- 22:48a moment. Our flag now numbers fifties stars, and behind each star there's
- 22:55sands, yet another flag representing one of the fifties states. Alabama state flag
- 23:00is white with a crimson cross of Saint Andrews, the symbol of the Confederacy.
- 23:04I'm the national flag of Scotland. Alabama's state capital, Montgomery, served
- 23:11as the first capital of the Confederacy, and it was on the steps of
- 23:14its capitol buildings that Jefferson Davis took the oath of office as President of the
- 23:18Confederated States of America. The Scottish cross is in the form of an x
- 23:25or assaultier and is also found on the state flags of Georgia and Mississippi.
- 23:30Perhaps it is the independent, rugged spirit of the Scotts that recommended its national
- 23:36symbol to the Confederacy as a symbol of its rebellion. Alabama's state flag,
- 23:42the flag of the commenty second state to enter the Union, was adopted on
- 23:47February sixteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety five. Now here's our star. They'll
- 23:51tell you about next week's story. Next week the most cockyed case I ever
- 23:55worked on, not one of life's but death insurance. Join us You's tlee
- 24:00Johnny Dillon, Yours truly, Johnny Dollars starrying Bob Bailey originates in Hollywood.
- 24:14Written by Robert Rice, it is produced and directed by Jack Johnstone. Heard
- 24:18in our cast were Virginia, Greg Janette Nolan, Larry Dobkins, Jack Krushian,
- 24:21Russell Thorson, and Howard mcneer. Be sure to join us next week
- 24:25train time and station or another exciting story of Yours Truly, Johnny Dollars.
- 24:32This is Dan Cobberly speaking, Welcome back. Well, normally I wouldn't call
- 24:41it a detective show on a continuity error, but since Johnny Dollar does pride
- 24:47itself on this, this is set up Like for Johnny, it's a surprise
- 24:52to deal with a beneficiary who can't be found. He's actually dealt with,
- 24:56and I can just recalling from memory the Broad Matter and the Royal Street matter,
- 25:02which involved a missing beneficiary in one case, in a reluctant beneficiary in
- 25:07another. Other than that, though a good episode. So I do wonder
- 25:11on the ability to pretend you were winged with a thirty thirty verses a twenty
- 25:18two. But to me, the fact that the stepfather said both that he
- 25:22was winged and that the man they were looking for was a dead shot was
- 25:26to me a proof of his innocence, or at least very suggestive. All
- 25:30right, Well, now to listener comments and feedback, and on Facebook,
- 25:36Val writes in Hello, my donation is on its way. You know much
- 25:41how much I value and love your podcast. After all, it's how I
- 25:45met Johnny Dowler. Well, thanks so much. Do appreciate the support.
- 25:51Eric comments, love the podcast and also the commentary. I like the history
- 25:56of the shows and the actors mirth rights in. I love your show.
- 26:02It gives me great pleasures. Thanks for continuing to do it. And then
- 26:07we also have a note from Constance who says, Adam, thank you for
- 26:12hours of enjoyment. Keep up the great work. Well, thank you so
- 26:15much for your support. Appreciate everybody who gave to our listener support campaign,
- 26:21who they were repeat donors like Mirth and Vow, or those who were donating
- 26:26for the first time. It really is appreciated and helps make it so that
- 26:30I can bring these programs to you. We have a comment from d and
- 26:33I apologize. I've been meaning to get to this for a couple of weeks,
- 26:37but I keep forgetting. She wrote, thanks so much for the new
- 26:44Bob Bailey episodes. You're the best. I wish someone would animate the episodes,
- 26:48maybe a kickstarter. It's an interesting idea. There is actually a DVD
- 26:56out where someone took the suspense play I believe it was The Hitchhiker with Orson
- 27:03Wells, and they did it as a DVD, did the full episode,
- 27:10and if you go on YouTube you'll also find partially animated clips of a lot
- 27:15of program Laman Abner and even some of the more modern programs such as The
- 27:22Doctor Who audio drama. It definitely would be an interesting project. My big
- 27:27observation on what I've seen is not all It definitely requires skilled animation to do
- 27:33it correctly, but it would require probably some musical and sound design expertise,
- 27:41because if you keep with, say the original soundtrack and score of an old
- 27:45time radio program, it gives very little time for visual transition, so it
- 27:52doesn't look right for a visual purpose. And you'll notice that too. Back
- 27:56when we played the Big Lamp Tea soundtrack, even though you could mostly tell
- 28:02what was going on, there were a few extra gaps of silence we heard
- 28:07on the TV soundtrack that you wouldn't have heard on the radio program itself.
- 28:12And remember they started from a radio script, so it'll be a lot of
- 28:17work. But if somebody had a kickstarter and they had the talent, it
- 28:21certainly would be interesting to see. Also received a tweet from Justin who says
- 28:29Bob Bailey sounds different in the newer episodes of Johnny Dollar. The reason I
- 28:34think for difference in sound is we did have a few episodes with lower quality
- 28:41source material, and so you will hear that, but that's generally just going
- 28:48to be the quality of the source material. Bailey's voice itself shouldn't change.
- 28:52Then we have a couple comments from Bobby and Paul. Bobby says I could
- 28:57not start my Saturday mornings without Johnny he's fine, and Paul says he's fun
- 29:04to listen to when you keep the time frame involved, as it gives a
- 29:08perspective of life back then. Well, thanks so much, and it's very
- 29:14interesting to hear Saturday mornings because I've kind of gotten used to the fact that
- 29:18a lot of people don't listen to the shows on the days I upload them.
- 29:22In Johnny Dollar's case, of course, it's Friday. But appreciate your
- 29:27comments. Now we have a couple comments on the oldies. Joe emails in
- 29:34just listen to the Blooming Blossom manner. It was great to hear Floyd about
- 29:41the barber Howard mcneir in the episode, even if he was the villain,
- 29:45definitely a different role than what he played on Andy Griffith, thanks for the
- 29:51great work and keep the Johnny Dollar episodes coming. Well. Thanks so much,
- 29:55Joe, and it really is interesting. Howard witt Near. I've heard
- 30:00him on so many detective drama episodes, primarily episodes of Johnny Dollar and the
- 30:07Lineup, but also let George do it and radio allowed him to play a
- 30:12range of characters anywhere character actor, you could just do so much and be
- 30:18so many different types of people. It is definitely different in the deep the
- 30:23medium which tends to top cast people. Yeah, this is a different look
- 30:30to Howard mcneer's repertoire, and we heard a little bit of that since he
- 30:33was in today's episode two. Finally, we have a tweet from Carl on
- 30:37another old episode Listen to the Lamar Matter and my heart broke for Johnny Dollar
- 30:44in matters of love he leads with his heart Haha. Well, thanks so
- 30:48much, and I'm definitely agreed. I think that Bob Bailey at the end
- 30:53of that episode really did. You could really feel the emotion that he put
- 31:00into that. And I think that I actually did include that as an illustration
- 31:08for one of my life lessons in the Johnny Dollar section of All I needed
- 31:15to Know I learned from Dragnet, so definitely left an impression on me.
- 31:19All right, Well, that will do it for today. We'll be back
- 31:23tomorrow with Dragnet and then be sure and listen again next Friday for another episode
- 31:30of Yours Truly Johnny Dollar. In the meantime, send your comments to Box
