- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites, presented by Draft Kings. The crown
- 0:13Speaker 1: is yours. We are an Action Network podcast. I'm Brandon Kravitz,
- 0:17Speaker 1: back at it with the crew, the first Lady of
- 0:19Speaker 1: the Pod. Kendra Middleton, the Prime Minister of Dgen Nation,
- 0:24Speaker 1: the new Daddy Stucky. Another week is coming gone without football.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Stucky's knee deep in not just parenting but college basketball,
- 0:32Speaker 1: Kendra's knee deep in international hockey. And I am enjoying
- 0:37Speaker 1: the quiet solitude of the NBA All Star Break. Kendra,
- 0:42Speaker 1: let's kick it off with your question of the week.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I want to know what's on your mind. A happy
- 0:46Speaker 1: lunar new year to you. It's the year of the
- 0:48Speaker 1: fire Horse. I have done my research because I just
- 0:51Speaker 1: kind of knew that we were going to head in
- 0:54Speaker 1: this direction.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I told you guys before we hopped on here that
- 0:57Speaker 2: I washed my hair yesterday, I took my trash out,
- 1:00Speaker 2: I'm in a newish outfit.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I did my laundry.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I'm prepped to go for the Year of the fire Horse,
- 1:06Speaker 2: even though it's supposed to be a real bad year
- 1:07Speaker 2: for me.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I'm not I'm not buying into it.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I'm just gonna pretend I'm having a good year, so
- 1:12Speaker 2: I've heard that I'm.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Not supposed to shower during the first day of the
- 1:17Speaker 1: new year.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Is that accurate?
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like you don't have to worry about not
- 1:20Speaker 2: washing your hair. But I had to wash my hair
- 1:21Speaker 2: yesterday so I could get that out of the way.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Got it. Okay, we'll stay unbathed for the rest of
- 1:26Speaker 4: the afternoon.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Okay, amazing. I'm so sorry for your wife.
- 1:30Speaker 5: What but you've been acting.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Anyways, my question are going to have an Olympics guest
- 1:47Speaker 2: in a little bit. But if you've been following the
- 1:48Speaker 2: Olympics at all, I'm sure that you've seen that these
- 1:51Speaker 2: skiers have been injecting their penises with hyaluronic acid because
- 1:56Speaker 2: it helps fill out their suit.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And gives them, I did rese gives them.
- 2:00Speaker 2: A minimum extra five kilometers per jump. So if you
- 2:06Speaker 2: two could inject your penis with hyaluronic acid and it
- 2:09Speaker 2: would boost your bets five percent every time? Would you
- 2:14Speaker 2: inject your penis five percent every single Yeah, Like it's
- 2:20Speaker 2: like a dk like a boost.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Like a five percent boost on every single bet. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: think I would do that. I'm not sure what the
- 2:26Speaker 1: what the later impacts of this injection would be but
- 2:29Speaker 1: a five percent. A five percent boost would put us
- 2:33Speaker 1: in a very repeatable professional level, and uh.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah, the crown is yours would have a whole new
- 2:42Speaker 4: meeting stuck.
- 2:43Speaker 3: You would you inject your penis?
- 2:44Speaker 4: Sure?
- 2:47Speaker 6: Anything for the return.
- 2:51Speaker 4: It's for the love of the game, Kenja. You know
- 2:53Speaker 4: you do what you gotta do.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So if I understand this story correctly, the injection takes
- 2:58Speaker 1: place to enhance the size of the package so that
- 3:03Speaker 1: you didn't get fitted for a looser suit because of
- 3:07Speaker 1: the aerodynamics of it.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I'm not sure I fully understand the purpose.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Of this, okay.
- 3:13Speaker 2: So it basically would be like you patting like your
- 3:16Speaker 2: crotch so that you get better like wind while you're jumping,
- 3:19Speaker 2: so you have that like extra like flap space in
- 3:22Speaker 2: your crotch. If you're a guy, like your suit's not
- 3:24Speaker 2: as tight, so it makes you more aero dynamic.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So you know, like when you're watching like.
- 3:27Speaker 2: A speed skating and all that stuff, their suits are
- 3:29Speaker 2: super tight. If your extra skin's just like like the
- 3:32Speaker 2: skin of the suits just flapping around, it's gonna slow
- 3:34Speaker 2: you down.
- 3:35Speaker 3: So it makes it tighter, so you're more aero dynamic.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Couldn't you just get a smaller suit rather than injecting.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I think that they're team issued, so yeah, I think
- 3:45Speaker 2: that you'd have to request smaller.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Or you could just I don't know, could Why can't.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Well, I guess you can't really stuck stick a sock
- 3:54Speaker 2: in there because it would still just have like wind.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta, you gotta inject it.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I did see that the doping organization is looking into this,
- 4:02Speaker 2: So this will probably be the first and last Olympics
- 4:06Speaker 2: with penis injected, but it'll just be something else next time.
- 4:10Speaker 2: We also ran out of ten thousand condoms in three
- 4:13Speaker 2: days in the Olympic village.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yeah, they're getting wild over there, saw that story.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I think any any sort of routine injection probably going
- 4:21Speaker 1: to be outlawed, and I think there should be a
- 4:24Speaker 1: thirty for thirty twenty years from now.
- 4:26Speaker 4: What happened to the penises?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Do you guys think?
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah, say, I was gonna say, do you guys think
- 4:34Speaker 2: that adderall should be considered a ped It is, absolutely,
- 4:38Speaker 2: you think, even though it's like a prescription.
- 4:41Speaker 1: If it enhances your performance, which I would think adderall
- 4:44Speaker 1: would do, I would I would consider that a banned
- 4:46Speaker 1: substance as it should be.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Can you stuck?
- 4:49Speaker 7: What we're gonna say if you have four so for
- 4:51Speaker 7: the next winner Olympics. If you're all like, this is
- 4:56Speaker 7: a common question, but if your only goal was to
- 4:59Speaker 7: win a mat what sport would you try to do
- 5:04Speaker 7: it in? And you can't And we'll exclude curling, although
- 5:08Speaker 7: I've heard it's really hard to like balance. I've always
- 5:11Speaker 7: wanted to try curling. I didn't like watching curling on
- 5:13Speaker 7: small doses. It gets kind of boring.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But do you guys see the fight in the curling
- 5:17Speaker 2: game the other day in Canada.
- 5:19Speaker 6: I didn't know there was like cheating like that, like
- 5:21Speaker 6: you can.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they were cussing each other out.
- 5:23Speaker 3: There's actually, oh I was gonna say.
- 5:26Speaker 2: There's a guy for Team USA actually who did research
- 5:30Speaker 2: when he turned twenty six about what Winter Olympic sport
- 5:34Speaker 2: was the easiest for someone who's older to take up,
- 5:37Speaker 2: and the internet told him skeleton. So he started practicing
- 5:40Speaker 2: and now he's on Team USA for skeleton as like
- 5:43Speaker 2: he's like almost thirty, I think, But he started practicing
- 5:45Speaker 2: when he was twenty six because he looked up what
- 5:48Speaker 2: would be the easiest to learn at an older age,
- 5:50Speaker 2: So I would say probably because of that, maybe skeleton
- 5:56Speaker 2: or like one of the like shooting things.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Shoot, yeah, skeleton pro. I mean that looks scary, but
- 6:03Speaker 6: maybe Bob sledding.
- 6:04Speaker 3: I'm scared. I feel like it might not be that bad.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Bob sledding would definitely be the answer. Uh if.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I mean there's no ice in Jamaica, and if they
- 6:13Speaker 1: can figure out how to do it, then I think
- 6:15Speaker 1: we could get it done and.
- 6:16Speaker 4: It would be great there.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I think there's three people per Bob sled on the
- 6:21Speaker 1: team race, so we could actually we could actually do
- 6:24Speaker 1: this as a podcast.
- 6:25Speaker 3: He could be a Bob sled team.
- 6:27Speaker 1: We could be enter as our own country, be the
- 6:30Speaker 1: favorites Bob sled team.
- 6:32Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean tender. You could do skeleton. I mean
- 6:34Speaker 7: we couldn't, you know. I think you have to be
- 6:36Speaker 7: like a certain side, right, Like that's that's a key
- 6:38Speaker 7: to it. So it's kind of like a jockey, like you.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Can't think you go faster if you're bigger.
- 6:42Speaker 6: No, I think you want to be because I feel like.
- 6:44Speaker 2: That would like if you're like just muscle, you probably
- 6:47Speaker 2: because you have to be so muscular to do that stuff,
- 6:49Speaker 2: because think about how your legs are hanging off the
- 6:51Speaker 2: back of the sled like I do that at pilates
- 6:53Speaker 2: every day for like ad workouts, and it makes me
- 6:55Speaker 2: want to die.
- 6:56Speaker 6: Yeah, well, you're like all muscle, so that's another reason
- 6:59Speaker 6: why I wouldn't be doing it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: What's your answer, stuck here? You in on the bolops
- 7:04Speaker 1: led or do you have a different one?
- 7:06Speaker 7: Yeah, I'd probably go bob sled but yeah, maybe the
- 7:11Speaker 7: double loge is also crazy. I don't know how that started.
- 7:14Speaker 3: How do you decide who's on top?
- 7:17Speaker 7: I don't know that's I can make a joke there,
- 7:21Speaker 7: but that's why they ran out of condoms.
- 7:25Speaker 6: So yeah, i'd probably go. I'd probably go bob sledding.
- 7:27Speaker 7: I've never been a big winter I'm not a big
- 7:30Speaker 7: winter sport guy, so I have zero experience in winter sports.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It really is amazing how they've thought of every single
- 7:38Speaker 1: possible way to slide down ice. When you watch the
- 7:41Speaker 1: Winter Olympics, that's the biggest takeaway for me is I
- 7:43Speaker 1: don't think there's anything left. I think that we have
- 7:46Speaker 1: thought of all of the ideas of how you can
- 7:48Speaker 1: race down ice throughout the Winter Olympics.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Yeah, no new content.
- 7:53Speaker 6: Are watching me. Why do you like watch obsessively or just.
- 7:57Speaker 4: It's background TV for me?
- 7:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I've watched everything. I'm so locked in. I love it.
- 8:05Speaker 6: What is your favorite three sports to watch in the
- 8:07Speaker 6: Winter Olympics.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Snowboarding?
- 8:10Speaker 2: I like the ice skating, duos, the.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Free skate, and then and then I obviously like the hockey, hockey.
- 8:18Speaker 3: I love hockey, snowboarding, ball.
- 8:21Speaker 6: And the duos.
- 8:22Speaker 2: In the ice skating, there's been a lot of really
- 8:25Speaker 2: crazy falls. I think the biggest one is probably Ilia
- 8:28Speaker 2: malanin are like crazy figure skater who's super young. He
- 8:34Speaker 2: fell twice in an event he was expected to win Golden.
- 8:38Speaker 3: They call him like the.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Quad God because he's like the first guy to ever
- 8:41Speaker 2: be able to hit like like a quad axle or something.
- 8:43Speaker 3: But he fell twice and was supposed to win us
- 8:45Speaker 3: Golden came in eve.
- 8:47Speaker 8: Wow.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah, there's been there's been a few falls.
- 8:50Speaker 7: It is kind of crazy that there's the This is
- 8:53Speaker 7: kind in Summer Olympics too. But the distribution of metals,
- 8:56Speaker 7: I feel like it should be like weighted or something,
- 8:58Speaker 7: because like, say you're really good at hot what the
- 9:01Speaker 7: most you can get is like two medals, two gold medals,
- 9:04Speaker 7: and you know they you have sports like I mean,
- 9:08Speaker 7: take a look at the Summer Olympics, like swimming. How
- 9:10Speaker 7: many gold medals can you get for swimming? There's like
- 9:13Speaker 7: a lot so many compared to like if you're really
- 9:15Speaker 7: good to basketball, it's just gonna be one or two.
- 9:21Speaker 7: So but it's kind of the same way in the
- 9:23Speaker 7: Winter Olympics as well. But we'll we'll talk with Josh
- 9:27Speaker 7: later about the I'm hoping we get US Canada two times.
- 9:34Speaker 2: We are getting the US Canada Women's game gold game
- 9:37Speaker 2: on Thursday, yep.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So we do have Josh Englis from Covers joining us
- 9:42Speaker 1: momentarily to talk about Olympic hockey and things that we
- 9:46Speaker 1: can still bet on in the Winter Olympics.
- 9:48Speaker 4: But before we get to that, I would like to.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Shoe horn in a quick football topic because there's some
- 9:55Speaker 1: spring cleaning going on down in my area. The Miami
- 9:58Speaker 1: Dolphins clean the out on President's Day, probably just the
- 10:04Speaker 1: tip of the iceberg because they're most likely going to
- 10:07Speaker 1: move off of TUA.
- 10:08Speaker 4: They saved fifty six million dollars on the cap.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Tyreek Hill gone, Bradley Chubb gone, James Daniels, Nick Westbrook,
- 10:16Speaker 1: Akeene Halfley and John Eric Sullivan the new GM. These
- 10:20Speaker 1: guys are not messing around. I am glad to see it.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I think this team needed an enema, and I'm glad
- 10:26Speaker 1: to see that they are moving on. I feel optimistic
- 10:30Speaker 1: about the future. Stuck you, what do you make of
- 10:33Speaker 1: the Dolphins moves and the removal of Tyreek Hill.
- 10:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I've been saying it for I said
- 10:41Speaker 6: it all year.
- 10:41Speaker 7: They need to blow it all up, and it'll blow
- 10:44Speaker 7: everything up and start over. Everything was bad, the contracts,
- 10:48Speaker 7: the roster construction in particular was really really poor.
- 10:52Speaker 6: The draft. The draft was not kind to them.
- 10:56Speaker 7: And there was problems all across the roster, Like anywhere
- 11:02Speaker 7: you want to point to, there were issues. So this
- 11:05Speaker 7: was overdue and needed, and I think it was it
- 11:11Speaker 7: was the right move. Is the team that just needed
- 11:13Speaker 7: to scrub everything clean and start rebuilding from scratch. Now
- 11:18Speaker 7: I don't necessarily know like it's halfway the right coach
- 11:22Speaker 7: for that.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 11:23Speaker 7: We'll find out, but I wouldn't have went that direction.
- 11:27Speaker 7: But they this is what they needed. It's like, just
- 11:31Speaker 7: get rid of contracts, start over, and start building this
- 11:37Speaker 7: roster from the inside out.
- 11:39Speaker 6: And uh so yeah, I agree with what they're doing.
- 11:42Speaker 7: They weren't going to be competitive that they weren't like
- 11:44Speaker 7: going to compete for a division title or you know,
- 11:48Speaker 7: a super Bowl this year.
- 11:50Speaker 6: So it makes a ton of sense.
- 11:52Speaker 7: And the next step is to, you know, number one, rebuild.
- 11:58Speaker 7: Number two, you got to find and who your long
- 12:01Speaker 7: term quarterback is, who your franchise quarterback is going to.
- 12:05Speaker 6: Be, and maybe per you, it's going to be yours.
- 12:10Speaker 6: I know you love yours bread, but.
- 12:12Speaker 7: Whether it's yours or someone else, that's that's got to
- 12:15Speaker 7: be the number one goal is to find because nothing
- 12:19Speaker 7: else matters, right Like you, you do need to rebuild
- 12:22Speaker 7: at times, but you know, in the NFL you need
- 12:27Speaker 7: a franchise quarterback. So we'll see how they go about
- 12:30Speaker 7: attacking that position over the next few years.
- 12:33Speaker 6: But this was way way overdue.
- 12:36Speaker 1: There's a couple of options there too. They can go
- 12:38Speaker 1: to the Cousins are out or they could just full
- 12:40Speaker 1: all out tanky. Maybe Quinn yours helps them do that.
- 12:43Speaker 1: But Kendro, what would you do if you're the Dolphins?
- 12:46Speaker 3: That was gonna just be my thing.
- 12:48Speaker 2: They owe to us so much money that, like I've
- 12:50Speaker 2: kind of been on the side that they would do
- 12:52Speaker 2: the Kirk Cousins situation in Atlanta with him for this
- 12:55Speaker 2: upcoming season just because of the money. I don't think
- 12:57Speaker 2: they're going to get any return, and they're going to
- 12:59Speaker 2: need somebody. They're gonna need a body, Like you can't
- 13:01Speaker 2: just send quin Ewers out there and hope for the
- 13:03Speaker 2: best and not really have anybody behind him either. Like
- 13:06Speaker 2: and if you watch back, like sort of some of
- 13:08Speaker 2: the off camera game stuff, like Tua was doing a
- 13:13Speaker 2: really good job of helping Quinniers on the sidelines, you know,
- 13:17Speaker 2: learning from his mistakes with the iPad, encouraging him, like
- 13:20Speaker 2: those types of little things that you don't just see
- 13:21Speaker 2: if you're watching the game. But it's like, I think
- 13:24Speaker 2: they both need a change of scenery. He needs to
- 13:26Speaker 2: get out of there, like they don't. Clearly he's not
- 13:29Speaker 2: their option anymore. I don't Thinkquinny wars is an answer.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I don't think that they just tank with him for
- 13:34Speaker 2: a year. But once again, it goes back to them
- 13:36Speaker 2: needing a body behind him type of thing. You can't
- 13:39Speaker 2: have a kid who started only three or four games
- 13:42Speaker 2: and then go out there and get a rookie to
- 13:44Speaker 2: go behind him. I just don't know what their answers
- 13:46Speaker 2: are here other than continuing kind of the Kirk Cousins
- 13:50Speaker 2: Michael Pennock situation in Atlanta, but the Miami version.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You'll be weird if it worked out that way, because
- 13:57Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins looked like the better option for the foul
- 14:00Speaker 1: wlkins as the year was going along, And what if
- 14:02Speaker 1: that happened to Miami where they held on to him,
- 14:04Speaker 1: if he's going to be a team guy and let
- 14:06Speaker 1: him be the backup, and then it actually turns out
- 14:08Speaker 1: that hurt better. Yeah, they have a couple of different
- 14:12Speaker 1: directions they could go. It's not exactly the best draft
- 14:15Speaker 1: class this year, so I don't think they're going to
- 14:16Speaker 1: take a quarterback. But next year it's supposed to be
- 14:19Speaker 1: a lot better. If you're an arch Manning believer, if
- 14:21Speaker 1: you're a Leonora Seller's believer, I really like him. But
- 14:24Speaker 1: we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Last
- 14:27Speaker 1: thing before we get to our guests. Huge college basketball
- 14:31Speaker 1: game tonight, Purdue in Michigan in the Big Ten. Michigan's
- 14:35Speaker 1: a road favorite here, Stuckey, I want to bet this game,
- 14:39Speaker 1: so I'm getting the itch here.
- 14:40Speaker 4: So give us a give us a side another winner.
- 14:44Speaker 7: I like predue catching the points at home. I you know,
- 14:49Speaker 7: they can keep they can keep this to a half
- 14:51Speaker 7: court game, Compete on the defensive glass, keep Michigan out
- 14:54Speaker 7: of transition, a couple of things that you need to
- 14:56Speaker 7: do against Michigan. And I really thought that some of
- 14:59Speaker 7: Purdue's role players finally stepped up over the weekend, made
- 15:03Speaker 7: some shots. That's who That's what they need against Iowa.
- 15:08Speaker 7: So you know, maybe they can continue that momentum over
- 15:12Speaker 7: in macki Arena Michigan. Also, they get Jacks of Landenborg.
- 15:16Speaker 7: They're they're one of their star players. And Michigan is very,
- 15:19Speaker 7: very good. Was chirping out there, did you see this
- 15:24Speaker 7: saying that they're gonna beat produced ass? So that makes
- 15:29Speaker 7: this a little bit more interesting. I think this game
- 15:31Speaker 7: is on Peacock, by the way, which is I mean,
- 15:33Speaker 7: I'll keep watching, but it's kind of dumb. So yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 7: there's there's some off the court stuff too that makes
- 15:40Speaker 7: this game a little more.
- 15:43Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 15:44Speaker 7: And you know, Michigan maybe a little peek ahead to
- 15:50Speaker 7: Duke Duke on Michigan Duke on Saturday, that's a game
- 15:54Speaker 7: in Washington, d C.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Does Michigan really like the best team in the country
- 15:58Speaker 2: right now. I still think it's ply Arizona, but a
- 16:01Speaker 2: lot of people are pushing for Michigan.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Yeah they're I mean, they're right there.
- 16:05Speaker 7: There's Michigan, Duke, Arizona, Houston like there, there's the top
- 16:14Speaker 7: is very It's not like I don't think there's a
- 16:15Speaker 7: huge difference between them, but Michigan. Michigan is making their shots,
- 16:21Speaker 7: like their threes. They're not a great three point shooting team,
- 16:23Speaker 7: but when they're making their threes, they are an absolute juggernaut.
- 16:27Speaker 7: They have elite size, and I mean size for days inside.
- 16:33Speaker 6: So Purdue has size too that can match them. Though.
- 16:36Speaker 6: I think it'll be a really good game. I took
- 16:38Speaker 6: the points.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I think it'll be close, all right, Michigan being a
- 16:42Speaker 2: basketball school.
- 16:43Speaker 6: Who would have thought, Yeah, in Indiana is a football school.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Football school, college college athletics is ass backwards right now.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm with you. Let's take Purdue. We're going boiler Makers tonight.

- 17:22Speaker 2: hockey the next couple of days.
- 17:23Speaker 3: But yeah, if I want to plant my.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Flag, I may or may not have a parlay on
- 17:28Speaker 2: US Men's and Women's to bring home the gold.

- 18:08Speaker 1: Josh Ingles from Covers Covers the World of Hockey over
- 18:12Speaker 1: at covers dot com. Did I say Covers enough times.
- 18:14Speaker 1: By the way, Olympic hockey has been crazy intense. Still
- 18:18Speaker 1: a couple of rounds to go as well, so let's
- 18:21Speaker 1: dive into it see where the money is to be made.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Josh, thanks for hopping on, appreciate.
- 18:26Speaker 9: It and not a problem. Thanks for having me so.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Olympic hockey is sort of back in a big way
- 18:32Speaker 1: for the first time in a while. First time NHL
- 18:35Speaker 1: guys are playing in the Olympics in the last ten years.
- 18:38Speaker 4: What changed and how much did four nations have to
- 18:41Speaker 4: do with this? Oh?
- 18:43Speaker 9: Well, what's changed?
- 18:45Speaker 8: I wouldn't be able to put my foot on to
- 18:47Speaker 8: say why the NHLPA and the NHL said yep, now's
- 18:50Speaker 8: a good time to do it.
- 18:51Speaker 9: Obviously the four nations.
- 18:52Speaker 8: What we saw between Canada and US not so much
- 18:55Speaker 8: failing Sweden, but what that drew out, like Gary Bettman
- 18:59Speaker 8: just kind of got lucky in terms of what that
- 19:02Speaker 8: turned into. And the funny thing is about what we're
- 19:04Speaker 8: seeing in the Olympics, like we just went through like
- 19:06Speaker 8: six days of round robin play that really didn't tell
- 19:10Speaker 8: us too much else different than what we thought going
- 19:13Speaker 8: into the tournament. Italy and France are out, Canada, US
- 19:16Speaker 8: number one and two and then everybody else in that
- 19:19Speaker 8: three to ten range. So today we're starting to see
- 19:23Speaker 8: where real hockey comes into and that's in the quarterfinal
- 19:26Speaker 8: round where it's losing, go home, and it's no surprise
- 19:28Speaker 8: that France and Italy are out. But I mean it's
- 19:32Speaker 8: set up. It's set up for Hockey World to get Canada.
- 19:34Speaker 8: You at eight ten in the morning on the Sunday.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Do you think that the NHL is going to continue
- 19:41Speaker 2: to let players participate after what we saw happened to
- 19:45Speaker 2: Kevin Fiala the other night. Obviously Charlie McAvoy one of
- 19:47Speaker 2: the guys who's playing pretty injured with that jaw as well.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Do you think that what happened to him the other
- 19:51Speaker 2: night is going to kind of shift this conversation or
- 19:53Speaker 2: do you think that the NHL players are here to stay.
- 19:56Speaker 9: It's gonna stay.
- 19:56Speaker 8: I think it's gonna stay, But I think I don't
- 19:58Speaker 8: know how much in terms of how the NHLPA and
- 20:03Speaker 8: their talk within the NHL, how much push they actually
- 20:06Speaker 8: have if this works well well for everybody, and all
- 20:10Speaker 8: we get out of it is maybe Kevin Fialla broken leg.
- 20:13Speaker 8: That sounds awful to say, but maybe that's the best event.
- 20:16Speaker 8: Maybe they get rid of the round robin that I
- 20:17Speaker 8: said maybe doesn't mean as much. Six games is a
- 20:20Speaker 8: lot where you only saw the Four Nations format was
- 20:23Speaker 8: play everybody once and then boom straight to a final.
- 20:26Speaker 8: That might be something more enticing. But I don't think
- 20:28Speaker 8: you can push the Olympic off their format, which they've
- 20:31Speaker 8: had for a lot longer in terms of what the
- 20:34Speaker 8: NHL gets to dictate.
- 20:35Speaker 9: But we'll see the round robin didn't mean much.
- 20:38Speaker 8: And once we get this engagement, I mean we'll get
- 20:40Speaker 8: Canada the US girls women sorry on Thursday. That could
- 20:45Speaker 8: really build the momentum into the weekend. Thursday, the men
- 20:48Speaker 8: are off, and then you get the Friday, then you
- 20:50Speaker 8: get the Saturday, then you get the Sunday.
- 20:52Speaker 9: If we get anything near that we got during the Four.
- 20:54Speaker 8: Nations, I mean that changed the perception on hockey, certainly
- 21:00Speaker 8: south of the border in terms of the excitement that
- 21:02Speaker 8: people outside of Canada got. And if you can build
- 21:05Speaker 8: that up and you get more of what we got
- 21:07Speaker 8: from Kachucks and the idea of these aren't just the
- 21:11Speaker 8: nicest guys in the world, and what type of sport
- 21:13Speaker 8: this is and it's going to be next to impossible
- 21:16Speaker 8: to get rid of NHL players at the Olympics.
- 21:19Speaker 4: As a state of Florida.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Guy, always strange when I hear south of the border
- 21:22Speaker 1: and you're talking about the northern portions of the United States,
- 21:26Speaker 1: but different regions, right, I'm noticing.
- 21:30Speaker 4: That punk lines are much wider like all game.
- 21:34Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's crazy that much more than your typical
- 21:37Speaker 1: NHL slate. Is is there that big? I mean, I
- 21:39Speaker 1: guess the answer is yes. But how big is the
- 21:42Speaker 1: gap between some of these countries.
- 21:44Speaker 8: The Canada the Canada France game was uh so. One
- 21:49Speaker 8: thing you'll see, like DK has been fantastic in terms
- 21:51Speaker 8: of giving US markets, giving US team totals. You've seen
- 21:55Speaker 8: today that they didn't drop team totals early. They don't
- 21:58Speaker 8: have two way markets for shots. There's different pricing across everywhere.
- 22:04Speaker 8: The one thing that we'll see going forward with those
- 22:07Speaker 8: puck lines is they'll tighten up. But Canada France should
- 22:11Speaker 8: have been like eight and a half nine, Like that
- 22:13Speaker 8: was gonna be a double digit game, especially when teams
- 22:16Speaker 8: had to run up the gold differential for their seeding.
- 22:20Speaker 8: And now we're seeing the opposite happen where we got
- 22:23Speaker 8: all the quarterfinal games.
- 22:25Speaker 9: The qualification quarterfinal games today open at six and.
- 22:28Speaker 4: A half and like plus.
- 22:29Speaker 8: Money the under, the Swiss won three nothing today, like
- 22:32Speaker 8: there's a big difference between having to run up the
- 22:35Speaker 8: score and improve your seating versus get up to a
- 22:38Speaker 8: three to nothing lead, parked the bus and shut things down,
- 22:41Speaker 8: like we saw Swiss versus a very inferior opponent in
- 22:44Speaker 8: Italy today, and I think that's what we'll see. We've
- 22:47Speaker 8: seen the first two odds open up for the qualification
- 22:51Speaker 8: games for Wednesday, and it's no surprise that the unders
- 22:55Speaker 8: have moved to five and a half. The punk lines
- 22:57Speaker 8: are at one and a half and there is a
- 23:00Speaker 8: I think it's a Sweden game or sorry, no, what
- 23:02Speaker 8: game is tomorrow? The five and a half is minus
- 23:07Speaker 8: one seventy to the under. That will obviously move up.
- 23:10Speaker 8: No one's going to betting minus one seventy to the
- 23:12Speaker 8: under in any spot. You have the idea with the
- 23:16Speaker 8: the elimination game that there will be some more empty
- 23:18Speaker 8: net chances, but I think that was really priced into
- 23:21Speaker 8: Tuesday's line. They're over evaluating it or over assuming it
- 23:25Speaker 8: today and I think there's some value on the overs
- 23:27Speaker 8: heading into Wednesday's elimination games.
- 23:29Speaker 6: Well, speaking of totals, one of my favorite angles historically
- 23:33Speaker 6: in the NHL is almost blindly betting game seven unders,
- 23:39Speaker 6: especially you know if we get one in the Stanley
- 23:42Speaker 6: Cup finals. But just historically those have done very well.
- 23:45Speaker 6: The thesis is right, there's not as many penalties called,
- 23:49Speaker 6: teams play a little tighter, and then you get lower
- 23:52Speaker 6: scoring games. Historically, if you look back at the women's
- 23:56Speaker 6: gold medal games, I mean you're looking at three one three,
- 23:57Speaker 6: two four one two nothing, three two three to two
- 23:59Speaker 6: tho never more than five goals.
- 24:02Speaker 7: Men's they've had a couple that are a little higher scoring,
- 24:05Speaker 7: but well we're looking at the past five. I mean
- 24:10Speaker 7: you got two to one, four to three and overtime
- 24:11Speaker 7: three zero three two three two five two one nothing
- 24:14Speaker 7: three two three one. Any reason not to look at
- 24:17Speaker 7: the gold medal unders in both or the women's do it.
- 24:22Speaker 8: Do it the exact same way, like you can get
- 24:24Speaker 8: like what we saw Canada US early scoring one to
- 24:28Speaker 8: one first period, both teams score second period, and then
- 24:31Speaker 8: third period is a spot where you think things will
- 24:34Speaker 8: get loose, but that's where the tightest thing goes down.
- 24:36Speaker 8: It's a good point that no official wants to be
- 24:38Speaker 8: responsible for looking at that meme and pointing in the
- 24:41Speaker 8: mirror and saying, let's make this about ourselves. Hockey doesn't
- 24:44Speaker 8: have that problem, so early scoring is more predictive I
- 24:48Speaker 8: think in those games as opposed to late scoring. So
- 24:51Speaker 8: ties under five and a half, the reverse pod lines
- 24:54Speaker 8: plus one and a half with the under, there's good
- 24:56Speaker 8: ways to look at that. It's a good point to
- 24:58Speaker 8: say that just because they're just different games. But there
- 25:01Speaker 8: will be people out there saying it's an elimination game
- 25:04Speaker 8: and you will get empty net chances. But when things
- 25:06Speaker 8: are one goal and they're that tight between two very
- 25:08Speaker 8: good teams, that edge kind of gets you raised a bit.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:11Speaker 7: And then looking on the men's side right now, Canada
- 25:15Speaker 7: is the favorite to win goal, followed by the US.
- 25:18Speaker 7: Then you have, you know, a couple of longer shots
- 25:20Speaker 7: I think, led by Finland and Sweden. Is there any
- 25:22Speaker 7: value in the futures market right now on the men's
- 25:27Speaker 7: side or do you think it's priced pretty fairly?
- 25:29Speaker 8: I thought maybe, I think your choice, your chances of
- 25:32Speaker 8: hitting something like that would be more like maybe winning
- 25:35Speaker 8: a bronze medal game. I think one and two are
- 25:37Speaker 8: locked up, But I think the values on that number
- 25:40Speaker 8: three spot, I think Denmark can beat check you today.
- 25:43Speaker 8: I think tomorrow when Slovakia plays, there's a really weird spot.
- 25:47Speaker 8: Like Slovakia and the US have been off since Saturday.
- 25:50Speaker 8: Like I don't know if like we can call that
- 25:52Speaker 8: arrest advantage, but we really don't have any data to
- 25:55Speaker 8: back up and say, yeah, okay, you've been off for
- 25:57Speaker 8: that long. This team's playing back to back, is that
- 26:00Speaker 8: really arrest advantage? The only thing I was talking about
- 26:03Speaker 8: on my show today that maybe someone like the Swiss,
- 26:06Speaker 8: who have like a thirty eight year thirty eight year
- 26:08Speaker 8: old goalie in Leonardo Ginomi, that that's more a physical
- 26:13Speaker 8: wear and tear on someone that age.
- 26:15Speaker 9: But I don't know. I think maybe they're spending a
- 26:17Speaker 9: lot more time practicing. Maybe that helps.
- 26:19Speaker 8: But I don't think the three days, which I think
- 26:22Speaker 8: is already priced in, is as big as advantage going
- 26:24Speaker 8: into it.
- 26:25Speaker 7: But yeah, we do get us Canada will could do
- 26:27Speaker 7: you envision yourself having a side or total in that
- 26:31Speaker 7: uh right away?
- 26:32Speaker 8: Canada minus like one thirty five total five and a
- 26:36Speaker 8: half minus one thirty to.
- 26:38Speaker 9: The under Somewhere along that line.
- 26:40Speaker 8: I think a really good thing because that total is
- 26:42Speaker 8: going to be so low, Like back to those both
- 26:45Speaker 8: teams to score two goals somewhere in that that's gonna
- 26:47Speaker 8: be good plus money, but it's going to work against
- 26:49Speaker 8: that low total, and I think that's I think you
- 26:52Speaker 8: can find some value certainly in that. Another two to
- 26:54Speaker 8: two game going to overtime. I think we've only seen
- 26:56Speaker 8: one overtime so far in the Olympics. Canada US will
- 26:59Speaker 8: be a one goal game, maybe decided by an empty net.
- 27:02Speaker 3: If it's two or more, I want to talk about goaltending.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I have a future for both US teams to bring
- 27:09Speaker 2: home the gold. It's been swayed a lots of discourse
- 27:12Speaker 2: on the internet about his last outing. Do you think
- 27:14Speaker 2: in the bigger moments coming up, it's going to continue
- 27:17Speaker 2: to be a Swede or do you think we're gonna
- 27:18Speaker 2: get Connor Hallibuck?
- 27:20Speaker 9: Yeah, No, it's it's it's it's Hellibuck Sway.
- 27:22Speaker 8: Swede's Sweyde's day was done after that goal from center ice, unfortunately,
- 27:28Speaker 8: And I think there's a good spot to look if
- 27:30Speaker 8: you really like goldtending and you're looking for maybe some
- 27:33Speaker 8: value in betting outside of Canada. Connor Hellibucket MVP at
- 27:37Speaker 8: twenty to one kind of stands out because the US
- 27:41Speaker 8: is still rolling three lines. They'll all cannibalize each other's points.
- 27:45Speaker 8: We're seeing scoring from the Matthews line obviously, the ka
- 27:47Speaker 8: Chuck's line with Michael. They're all pulling their own weight,
- 27:50Speaker 8: and the Boldie line as well. But if they run
- 27:52Speaker 8: the table, they go tomorrow and Connor hellibuckets all those
- 27:55Speaker 8: starts like you probably will. There's a day off as
- 27:58Speaker 8: well on Thursday, and there's another day off between the
- 28:00Speaker 8: semi and the final. If he goes for a run,
- 28:03Speaker 8: if he blanks Canada like two nothing, or like shuts
- 28:07Speaker 8: down a great Canadian team like that's that's his. So
- 28:09Speaker 8: I think if you are an American, you're looking to
- 28:12Speaker 8: get a little back in this, just to get some fun,
- 28:15Speaker 8: more into something and get on that buzz is.
- 28:17Speaker 9: I mean, let's talk about betting ROI for entertainment. That's
- 28:21Speaker 9: a lot of it.
- 28:21Speaker 8: For what people do, I mean not everybody out here
- 28:23Speaker 8: as a professional gambler. If you're an American you want
- 28:26Speaker 8: to back something, Connor Hellibuck MVP at that price is
- 28:29Speaker 8: probably the best thing you can run.
- 28:30Speaker 2: So if it comes down to USA Canada, just because
- 28:33Speaker 2: this is a future for both of these teams to win,
- 28:36Speaker 2: I'm in the camp that Jordan Bennington sucks. That's the
- 28:38Speaker 2: weakness of that team. And I also kind of look
- 28:40Speaker 2: at it from the angle of the Four Nations tournament.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Don't think Canada can win on the big stage twice.
- 28:45Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on the value of I think
- 28:47Speaker 2: plus two seventy five is what I got it at
- 28:49Speaker 2: for USA Men's and women's to win the gold.
- 28:52Speaker 8: Yeah, like I said, minus one thirty five would probably
- 28:55Speaker 8: be my price Canada versus USA.
- 28:58Speaker 9: So just a slight plus my dog for the.
- 29:01Speaker 8: US on that side, and that will be Bennington versus Hellibuck.
- 29:05Speaker 8: Bennington sucks, but it's a hell of a case study
- 29:07Speaker 8: in terms of what a coach's confidence can do for you,
- 29:12Speaker 8: in terms of how you can pull something off. Bennington
- 29:14Speaker 8: statistically is it's been out there the worst goaltender in
- 29:17Speaker 8: all of hockey. But then you look at someone like
- 29:19Speaker 8: who's won a lot of games, Like when the sample
- 29:21Speaker 8: size is that small, like everything is amplified.
- 29:24Speaker 9: Bennington has been there.
- 29:25Speaker 8: Bennington could do it, and someone like Swayman I don't
- 29:28Speaker 8: mean to keep picking on Boston guys.
- 29:30Speaker 3: But like, oh, you're not hurting my feelings. I didn't
- 29:33Speaker 3: think it was going to be a Sway day, but
- 29:35Speaker 3: there's been a lot of talk online.
- 29:37Speaker 8: Lucas dash Old had a rough game, Like there's goalies
- 29:40Speaker 8: who when you just have a small look at things.
- 29:43Speaker 8: I mean, Guph Stison, he's not starting and nor should he.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Jay gotten your apologist. You're not hurting my feeling.
- 29:50Speaker 9: That's that's what I mean.
- 29:51Speaker 3: That's a bad year.
- 29:52Speaker 8: Anybody I think can step up, and we've seen with
- 29:55Speaker 8: the goaltending from the Italians in the French like Clara
- 29:59Speaker 8: what the the only guys that was drafted on that team.
- 30:02Speaker 8: He's right now leading all of the tournament. I think
- 30:05Speaker 8: he had sixty shots one game. Like, goaltending is the
- 30:08Speaker 8: most fickle thing in terms of what you can get
- 30:11Speaker 8: in one outing. And yes, once you get some confidence,
- 30:14Speaker 8: that can change everything. So Bennington isn't Bennington of the
- 30:17Speaker 8: NHL and Canadians were absolutely terrified going into this tournament
- 30:21Speaker 8: with the golden and that they did have because neither him,
- 30:23Speaker 8: nor Thompson or Dar s Kepper were playing good hockey.
- 30:27Speaker 8: But John Cooper said he picked this guy about three
- 30:30Speaker 8: hundred and thirty days ago in terms of who his
- 30:31Speaker 8: starter was. He got his one Logan Thompson start done
- 30:34Speaker 8: on the back to back, and now it's Bennington's ride
- 30:36Speaker 8: for the rest to go.
- 30:37Speaker 1: By the way, the two of them, Kendra and Josh
- 30:40Speaker 1: as locked in as humanly possible.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I'm fascinated by this conversation. Go ahead, Stucky.
- 30:45Speaker 7: One final question I had is, I don't know if
- 30:48Speaker 7: you have anything here but is off the top of
- 30:51Speaker 7: your head, is there any angle as far as the
- 30:54Speaker 7: residual impact the Olympics when it comes to the NHL
- 30:57Speaker 7: on a team that you're potentially looking to fit or
- 31:01Speaker 7: that could take just anything that you could take away
- 31:03Speaker 7: from the Olympics that could carry over in maybe like
- 31:06Speaker 7: the first week of an play.
- 31:08Speaker 8: For sure, go look at the teams who have the
- 31:10Speaker 8: most players. Go look at the like the Florida team,
- 31:12Speaker 8: so who's already struggling just to make a playoff spot
- 31:14Speaker 8: and was still already priced. You know, stuff like just
- 31:18Speaker 8: that point where markets always appreciate it when that flip comes,
- 31:22Speaker 8: they're kind of slow to move it. They've been high
- 31:24Speaker 8: on Florida for most of the year. Yes, they're starting
- 31:26Speaker 8: to depreciate their value. But when all these guys like
- 31:28Speaker 8: Brad Marshawn has missed two games in a row, but
- 31:31Speaker 8: they'll give him some good run. When all of these
- 31:33Speaker 8: guys come back, that's going to be a tough run
- 31:35Speaker 8: for Paul Maurice to get his team going and do things.
- 31:37Speaker 8: You see the Kevin Fiala injury in LA. I never
- 31:40Speaker 8: even liked there, Timmy Piner and grab because I thought
- 31:43Speaker 8: this was a team that was maybe seventh at best
- 31:46Speaker 8: in the West, and now there were an offensive team
- 31:48Speaker 8: that's struggling, that's going to struggle even more without Kevin Fiala.
- 31:53Speaker 8: So in terms of that, look to teams who have
- 31:55Speaker 8: the most players. Look for teams who maybe I mean,
- 31:59Speaker 8: we already kind of use the advantage of you got
- 32:02Speaker 8: the snubs, you got your Olympic snubs and guys were going.
- 32:05Speaker 8: But don't put it past guys like Connor Badard to
- 32:08Speaker 8: get hot coming off this watching what guys like Maclin
- 32:11Speaker 8: Celebrini are doing and being like that could have been
- 32:13Speaker 8: somewhere that I could have been in the spot. So
- 32:16Speaker 8: look at guys like Tampa Bay's got a lot of
- 32:18Speaker 8: guys Florida's got a lot of guys and maybe the
- 32:22Speaker 8: Sweden guys. Like you're playing six games like with back
- 32:25Speaker 8: to back and maybe one day off, that's a lot
- 32:27Speaker 8: of run and then you've got to go across the
- 32:28Speaker 8: pond as well.
- 32:29Speaker 9: So it is a good look.
- 32:30Speaker 8: But teams like the Kings on the one side and
- 32:31Speaker 8: maybe Florida on the other side of the teams i'd
- 32:33Speaker 8: look to fade in. What's the last third of the
- 32:36Speaker 8: NHL season coming up?
- 32:38Speaker 1: Gosh, you mentioned catering to the casuals. Let's give them
- 32:41Speaker 1: something that they can bet on plus money edition. Everybody
- 32:45Speaker 1: loves a good plus money money line. Who are the
- 32:47Speaker 1: plucky underdogs that we should be taking a look at
- 32:50Speaker 1: in the market moving forward?
- 32:52Speaker 8: Oh, in terms of the NHL or the In terms
- 32:55Speaker 8: of the tournament, the tournament, I think like Sweden is
- 33:00Speaker 8: nothing to excite me today, and I know that's coming
- 33:03Speaker 8: up in a bit. That's the three to ten game.
- 33:06Speaker 8: The puck lines up to like two and a half.
- 33:08Speaker 8: But Latvia has NHL goaltending they can steal a win
- 33:13Speaker 8: off a Sweden team who just doesn't look like they've
- 33:16Speaker 8: been playing well for their coach. Yes, they've maybe the ship.
- 33:21Speaker 8: But this is a team that's going into an elimination game,
- 33:24Speaker 8: and they weren't sure who was a net. I already
- 33:26Speaker 8: kind of crapped on Guphsison, who if anybody came into
- 33:29Speaker 8: this tournament and said, yeah, Guphsison's our guy. No one's
- 33:31Speaker 8: been betting the NHL because the Minnesota Wild have been
- 33:34Speaker 8: an absolute overwagon for the last three weeks of hockey.
- 33:37Speaker 8: I think like ten and one to the over in
- 33:39Speaker 8: their last eleven games before this trip. And it's a
- 33:43Speaker 8: coach who we saw right off the beginning, Philip Forsberg
- 33:45Speaker 8: wasn't getting minutes and with everyone's like, what's happening with Phil?
- 33:48Speaker 9: Why would we give you more time?
- 33:50Speaker 8: To Pontus Holmberg, who is running like the second line
- 33:53Speaker 8: like William Neelanders not a guy who really exceeds in
- 33:56Speaker 8: games where contact is in. And Sam Uhillan, the coach
- 33:59Speaker 8: has loved Elias Petterson, who we know is not a
- 34:03Speaker 8: show up and play kind of guy.
- 34:05Speaker 9: So there there's some good money on them.
- 34:07Speaker 8: I mean, the puck line's okay, a plus money plus
- 34:10Speaker 8: two and a half at plus one thirty five if
- 34:12Speaker 8: you can get a team total over one and a
- 34:13Speaker 8: half at plus money.
- 34:15Speaker 9: I think that's another look.
- 34:16Speaker 8: Nothing out of the Sweden teams has made me look
- 34:18Speaker 8: and say, wow, this is the team that deserves to
- 34:21Speaker 8: be ranked third, fourth, or even fifth in the tournament.
- 34:24Speaker 2: My final question is going to be do you agree
- 34:27Speaker 2: with the Kachuks? Will Leon Drysidel forever be the bride'smaid
- 34:30Speaker 2: and not the bride?
- 34:31Speaker 8: The funny thing is about that, and they're true and
- 34:36Speaker 8: it's it's awesome like they're they're good for hockey because
- 34:39Speaker 8: they're they're hockey players, true, like as much as as
- 34:41Speaker 8: mouthy as we think they are, that they're good hockey players.
- 34:45Speaker 8: And you don't get to talk like that if you're
- 34:46Speaker 8: not good. Both have been fantastic in tournament and been
- 34:48Speaker 8: great for the USA. But the real question is if
- 34:52Speaker 8: Connor McDavid loses a gold medal game and gets the
- 34:57Speaker 8: MVP again, just like he got the Cons in a
- 35:00Speaker 8: losing effort versus Florida in the Stanley Cup finals, Like
- 35:04Speaker 8: that's that's the bridesmaid, that's that's the term.
- 35:09Speaker 9: I think he goes there.
- 35:10Speaker 8: And we've seen we've seen the NHL, we've seen the
- 35:13Speaker 8: IHF give out the MVP to non gold medal winners.
- 35:16Speaker 8: We've seen it quite often. It's not as much as
- 35:18Speaker 8: the same as we'll see in the NHL. But like
- 35:21Speaker 8: if Connor McDavid keeps getting three points a game and
- 35:23Speaker 8: all of a sudden he loses that gold medal game, Okay,
- 35:27Speaker 8: you lose, Come on out, Connor, come accept your award.
- 35:29Speaker 9: That might be some embarrassing TV.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Before we touch you.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Loose, Josh, I want to give you a chance to
- 35:35Speaker 1: plug whatever you have going on over it covers.
- 35:38Speaker 9: I appreciate it. Just my show every day at ten o'clock,
- 35:41Speaker 9: I'm going through that.
- 35:44Speaker 8: This tournament is so hard because odds aren't coming out
- 35:46Speaker 8: till like five o'clock at night. After the game. You're
- 35:49Speaker 8: waiting for stuff to come out. You're waiting for everybody
- 35:51Speaker 8: to drop their numbers.
- 35:52Speaker 9: Then you got to send it in.
- 35:53Speaker 8: Then you got to do your work while waking up
- 35:55Speaker 8: at five point forty five to get some markets that
- 35:58Speaker 8: are just opening before the game.
- 35:59Speaker 9: So it's a very long tournament.
- 36:01Speaker 8: I'm very happy to be recorded to be covering it,
- 36:04Speaker 8: but I'll be happy especially after the Super Bowl run,
- 36:08Speaker 8: to get some time off. But yeah, ten o'clock live
- 36:11Speaker 8: stuff bringing some people onto talk hockey and just try
- 36:13Speaker 8: to find the best value in these markets because if
- 36:15Speaker 8: you've be can go and book to book, you know,
- 36:16Speaker 8: the prices are all over the map and it's a
- 36:18Speaker 8: really good spot to find value waiting.
- 36:20Speaker 6: But before we go, you got to ask you who's
- 36:23Speaker 6: taking on the goal?
- 36:25Speaker 8: Oh, it's it's Cad. I just say I'm not saying
- 36:27Speaker 8: that as a Canada fan. I just think what we're
- 36:29Speaker 8: seeing with Connor McDavid being hands above as the best player,
- 36:34Speaker 8: Like it's amazing to be like at this level and
- 36:36Speaker 8: still do it, but to like step above them, to
- 36:38Speaker 8: like tier one and make everybody else tier two. He's
- 36:41Speaker 8: the difference and he's only getting sixteen seventeen minutes a game.
- 36:44Speaker 8: If they load up his ice time, things could be trouble.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Josh engeles Covers dot Com. Thanks so much for the time.
- 36:49Speaker 1: We really appreciate the insight.
- 36:51Speaker 9: Hey lots more hockey to go. Appreciate it. Guys, have
