- 0:06Speaker 1: I wonder if you're getting as sick of hearing that
- 0:08Speaker 1: as I. No Baby G this weekend. I was really hoping, man,
- 0:14Speaker 1: we thought it was going to happen. I was really
- 0:16Speaker 1: hoping because it would have worked out perfect for PTO days. Yeah,
- 0:21Speaker 1: I didn't have to play this Justin Bieber bed anymore
- 0:25Speaker 1: in the background when we talk. But no baby G.
- 0:29Speaker 1: The good news, though, is on Friday after the show,
- 0:32Speaker 1: I did go to an appointment with Corey. It's just
- 0:34Speaker 1: a forty week schedule kind of appointment deal. All is normal,
- 0:38Speaker 1: heart still ticking, everything's still working great.
- 0:41Speaker 2: We're just enjoying our house rent free.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Yeah, baby G is like I don't know, mom, this
- 0:46Speaker 3: uterus is fire.
- 0:50Speaker 2: That's exactly right.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And so one way or another, Baby G will be
- 0:55Speaker 1: here this week.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I don't want to say the day. Corey didn't want
- 0:58Speaker 2: me to say the day.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But one way or another, the baby G will be
- 1:01Speaker 1: here at some point this week and then you won't
- 1:05Speaker 1: have to her Justin Bieber babe, babe. But no, it's
- 1:10Speaker 1: it's been nice having Corey's mom at the house. It's
- 1:13Speaker 1: been really sweet. This past weekend. We were just I
- 1:17Speaker 1: don't know, how do you how do you just waste time?
- 1:20Speaker 1: You know, you're trying to time until something. That's been
- 1:24Speaker 1: the hardest part because we haven't even got to the
- 1:26Speaker 1: waiting part yet. You know what I'm saying, You like
- 1:28Speaker 1: you're waiting to wait. Yeah, you were hurrying up to
- 1:30Speaker 1: do well. I am hurrying up to basically do nothing
- 1:34Speaker 1: but be supportive. Corey's hurrying up to now enter into
- 1:37Speaker 1: this labor deal. But we haven't even got to the
- 1:40Speaker 1: hospital yet, I know, so that part has been not
- 1:44Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:44Speaker 2: What the word would be. It's just like, well, you know,
- 1:46Speaker 2: you're frustrating.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I guess you want to meet baby G already. But
- 1:50Speaker 3: your mother, so, your mother in law came in anticipation.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Of baby G arrived.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I don't think she planned on being there this long.
- 1:57Speaker 3: That's so funny. But you guys are having a good time.
- 1:59Speaker 3: She like gloves you. Yeah, yes, I have one of
- 2:02Speaker 3: the best mother in laws of all time. She just
- 2:04Speaker 3: bought me a shirt that said I'm my mother in
- 2:06Speaker 3: law's favorite child. Now that sounds like something I would
- 2:09Speaker 3: buy for myself. Yeah, it sounds like something you have said.
- 2:12Speaker 3: And she was like, slap it on a T shirt.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yeah, she kind of just went with it. So that
- 2:15Speaker 1: has been nice this weekend. We're just trying to waste time.
- 2:19Speaker 1: On Saturday morning when it before I got really hot. Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I took Winona on a bike ride, which I hadn't
- 2:25Speaker 1: done in a while. It was which was so fun,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and the hard part was biking back home against the wind.
- 2:33Speaker 2: That was no joke.
- 2:35Speaker 1: But I'm sitting here going all right, maybe I'll just
- 2:37Speaker 1: do maybe I'll go do something. Let's do something, and
- 2:40Speaker 1: maybe the universe will be like perfect, you're two and.
- 2:42Speaker 2: A half miles away. Now you got to hurry up
- 2:44Speaker 2: and get back.
- 2:45Speaker 4: That's true.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Into the wind, Gabe set that tea time, Mikey's.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I swear to God, I'm going golf in to morow
- 2:52Speaker 1: nine holes of golf or something so that when I
- 2:55Speaker 1: get to whole six, yeah, it'll be like the farthest
- 2:58Speaker 1: away hole.
- 2:58Speaker 2: You know, they'll be like, hey, you gotta get and
- 3:00Speaker 2: then I can just dip on back.
- 3:02Speaker 4: I need you to what is that called? I need
- 3:04Speaker 4: you to attempt fate.
- 3:05Speaker 2: That's exactly right.
- 3:06Speaker 1: You know, this is one of the weird scenarios, and
- 3:08Speaker 1: this does happen, but this did not work out for me.
- 3:11Speaker 1: This weekend, which is fine. When baby get gets here,
- 3:15Speaker 1: it will be great. But those PTO days would have
- 3:18Speaker 1: lined up so perfect that would have happened this weekend.
- 3:23Speaker 4: But it's fine, You'll be fine.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Either way, baby g will either be here between now
- 3:27Speaker 1: and the day we have to go in to help
- 3:30Speaker 1: speed the process along.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's.
- 3:33Speaker 3: At least we know that because I let me tell
- 3:35Speaker 3: you this building. Yeah, in this building, there's so many
- 3:38Speaker 3: emails that have been flying around.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Okay, but when's the baby? Can you have the baby
- 3:43Speaker 4: this weekend? I mean, he's if anyone's not in control
- 3:47Speaker 4: its game.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I'm trying my best. I'm willing.
- 3:51Speaker 4: There's so much he can do, especially with mother in law.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and I know the deal is like like
- 3:58Speaker 1: it's pretty common for our mothers to get to forty
- 4:02Speaker 1: one weeks and they do not want you going pass that.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So we get there, that's when we'll we'll be ready
- 4:08Speaker 1: to rock and Rochelle for sure, who knows, you know,
- 4:10Speaker 1: maybe at ten thirty I'll get a phone call today
- 4:13Speaker 1: and off and running. Yeah, but it was so funny
- 4:16Speaker 1: on Sunday, Corey Yesterday, Today's Mondays and yeah, yesterday.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Corey woke up. No, I'm feeling great, you know.
- 4:21Speaker 1: And then we're thinking, okay, this could be it, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 1: contractions away. And then she took a shower and it
- 4:28Speaker 1: all just it just so funny went away. We were
- 4:31Speaker 1: just relaxed after some warm water.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I wake up earlier, like since last week, I wake
- 4:37Speaker 3: up earlier than I normally wake up.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Yeah, to make sure.
- 4:41Speaker 2: That I am ready if I'm not here, if.
- 4:44Speaker 3: You're not here, yeah, But I always like, when you
- 4:46Speaker 3: texted me this morning, You're like, well, I'm gonna.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Be at work.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I was like, oh man, yay for me, because I
- 4:52Speaker 3: I'll be love doing a show with you.
- 4:53Speaker 4: But it's like that means baby G.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Still hanging up, Baby G still enjoying.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Uh.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I know.
- 4:58Speaker 1: There's the thing with babies they call it tum time
- 5:00Speaker 1: where they got to play on their stomach for Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 1: baby G is enjoying tummy time, and that'd be mom's
- 5:05Speaker 1: tummy time.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Yes.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude
- 5:15Speaker 5: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 5:16Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 5:19Speaker 3: plastic job busted out when it was someone's acting hard
- 5:22Speaker 3: and I.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Just really needed to win. You know, sure your little
- 5:24Speaker 5: victories with us at seven oh one two eight A
- 5:27Speaker 5: one ninety eight seven.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And ANGI do you have a little victory for us
- 5:33Speaker 1: here today.
- 5:34Speaker 3: My former sister in law, who I just consider a sister.
- 5:38Speaker 3: She's a little sister to me. I mean, I've known
- 5:40Speaker 3: her since she was twelve.
- 5:42Speaker 4: She got married over the weekend in Vegas.
- 5:46Speaker 3: So I flew out there with the boys and we
- 5:49Speaker 3: got to celebrate her getting married. It's just so weird
- 5:54Speaker 3: when you I've known her since she was twelve. In
- 5:56Speaker 3: her my space wallpaper was cats and now she's like
- 6:01Speaker 3: a grown.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Woman who got married. It's just crazy. They grow up
- 6:06Speaker 4: so fast. But it was really nice to be in
- 6:08Speaker 4: Vegas to celebrate her.
- 6:09Speaker 3: And you know what, when I got back here to Fargo,
- 6:13Speaker 3: it was like, Okay, the weather's the same.
- 6:15Speaker 4: It like super super wildly hot. But it was just
- 6:19Speaker 4: nice to go.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I mean, I was born and raised in Vegas, so
- 6:22Speaker 3: I got to see my sister, I got to see
- 6:23Speaker 3: my best friend, I got to see my mom, and
- 6:25Speaker 3: then I got to celebrate my little sister getting married.
- 6:28Speaker 4: So it was just a good time.
- 6:29Speaker 3: It was a good family, fun time, and I got
- 6:33Speaker 3: a little bit of a ten by the pool, so
- 6:35Speaker 3: that was a bonus.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Well, good for you. I'm happy for you. I'm glad
- 6:39Speaker 1: you had a great time. It sounded fun, it looked
- 6:40Speaker 1: fun on wherever I saw I don't know, I was Instagram.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It looked like a good time.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I was doing the most on Instagram. Dunk.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I look at that anyway. What about you, Gabe? What's
- 6:51Speaker 3: your little victory?
- 6:52Speaker 1: My little victory is how nice it has been to
- 6:56Speaker 1: have my mother in law around.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I feel so kind of bad for but a quick update.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I'm obviously at work, no baby, g There were definitely
- 7:05Speaker 1: some moments this weekend where we're like, all right, now
- 7:07Speaker 1: is the time to go? Yeah, And then that was
- 7:10Speaker 1: a big giant false alarm. It was kind of like, hey,
- 7:12Speaker 1: just kidding. Yeah, Well, but my mother in law has
- 7:16Speaker 1: been at the house and she has been such a
- 7:18Speaker 1: big help. She's doing the most, trying to make it
- 7:21Speaker 1: the easiest possible it can be when we do get
- 7:24Speaker 1: back to not have to really worry about cooking anything,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and she just has all these things prepared for us,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and it really is super sweet. And she's been wonderful
- 7:33Speaker 1: hanging out with Winona and the dog and things along
- 7:36Speaker 1: those lines. So one way or another, though, baby g
- 7:39Speaker 1: will be here this week.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Okay, so that is wonderful.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I really really really wanted it to work out for
- 7:46Speaker 1: me this weekend, and I do say things work out
- 7:48Speaker 1: for me a lot.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, this one did not.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I mean, maybe it'll be by this coming weekend, you
- 7:54Speaker 3: don't know.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Well, it'll definitely be before this weekend. Oh that's right, definitely
- 8:00Speaker 1: before this week.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Now, labor can take forever, Gabe.
- 8:03Speaker 1: That is very very true. I hope it doesn't take
- 8:06Speaker 1: up to forty eight.
- 8:07Speaker 4: To yeah, whatever the math.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Is after that, that would be long.
- 8:11Speaker 1: But so it's been wonderful to have my mother in
- 8:13Speaker 1: law at the house all weekend. I know, Wanona is
- 8:17Speaker 1: just spoiled to death because Corey's at home obviously and
- 8:22Speaker 1: my mother in law is there, so she just has
- 8:24Speaker 1: a house full of people all day basically twenty four
- 8:27Speaker 1: to seven, and it's been it's been fun to have
- 8:30Speaker 1: her around and just helping out a lot.
- 8:32Speaker 2: So big shout out to my mom in law.
- 8:34Speaker 4: To refreshing to hear a man who loves his mother
- 8:37Speaker 4: in law.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Oh, you know, it's very funny.
- 8:39Speaker 1: This is also I forgot about this part but this
- 8:41Speaker 1: is added on to my little victory on I can't
- 8:44Speaker 1: remember his Friday or Saturday, it doesn't matter. But we
- 8:46Speaker 1: had to go run an errand quick and then Corey
- 8:48Speaker 1: was like, oh, can we stop and get the mail
- 8:50Speaker 1: because our mailbox is like down the block it's yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 1: And I was like yeah, sure, and I kind of
- 8:56Speaker 1: drove past it and she was like, oh, turn it
- 8:57Speaker 1: because I forgot and she was like, can you turn
- 9:00Speaker 1: around and go get it? And I was like, we
- 9:02Speaker 1: can't get it on the way back, and she was like, no,
- 9:04Speaker 1: just go get it. And I stopped and my mother
- 9:06Speaker 1: in law bought me a shirt that says I'm my
- 9:10Speaker 1: mother in law's favorite child.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Oh my god, I love that. Yeah.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I was gonna wear it today, but I wore it
- 9:17Speaker 1: this weekend and I got all hot and sweaty because
- 9:19Speaker 1: I was doing a bunch of stuff. Yeah, and it's
- 9:22Speaker 1: just fun to have. I'm'd be bringing that to the hospital.
- 9:24Speaker 4: For Yeah you got it?
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yeah, So.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Oh brother.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Now I have this theory.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I think I've shared this theory here on Big ninety
- 9:38Speaker 1: eight point seven before Big ninety eight point seven before,
- 9:40Speaker 1: But I have a theory that our smartphones are ruining
- 9:45Speaker 1: our memory. Yeah, we don't have to remember anything anymore
- 9:50Speaker 1: because all of the answers are at the tips of
- 9:52Speaker 1: our fingers.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Phone numbers. Do you how many phone numbers do you
- 9:56Speaker 2: think you actually have memorized?
- 9:57Speaker 3: The ones that I learned in high school before I
- 10:01Speaker 3: had a cell phone. Oh, and my key's because it
- 10:04Speaker 3: is so close to a friend.
- 10:06Speaker 4: That I had in high school.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I used to at one point, I'm not kidding,
- 10:11Speaker 1: have anywhere probably from fifteen to like twenty phone numbers memorized.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I think now, I like my sisters, no clue, brother,
- 10:20Speaker 1: no clue. I know Corey's and my parents, who have
- 10:24Speaker 1: had the same cell phone number since I think I
- 10:25Speaker 1: was in fourth grade, and that might be it.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I shouldn't admit three.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I shouldn't admit this my own fifteen year old son,
- 10:34Speaker 3: I do not know his.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Don't know it.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Yeah, And the only reason I probably know Corey's is
- 10:39Speaker 1: when we got married.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I have to fill it out on a bunch of things.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that makes sense.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Our boss, who we call on a regular daily basis,
- 10:47Speaker 1: I don't know if I have his phone number memorized,
- 10:49Speaker 1: but I have the pattern in.
- 10:51Speaker 2: On the thing.
- 10:52Speaker 1: But if I didn't have the keypad. I don't think
- 10:54Speaker 1: I would know what it is. And I bring that
- 10:56Speaker 1: up because there are people who are saying AI is
- 11:00Speaker 1: already breaking our brains. There's clear evidence we're not thinking
- 11:04Speaker 1: for ourselves as much as we used to. So there
- 11:08Speaker 1: are some things you can do to still make your
- 11:12Speaker 1: brain do a little bit of work despite having all
- 11:15Speaker 1: of these answers either on a computer or write at
- 11:17Speaker 1: your fingertips. This is in the phone, Okay, for example,
- 11:21Speaker 1: ask four hints, not answers when using AI. People who
- 11:26Speaker 1: ask AI directly to answer their questions, they suffer severe
- 11:31Speaker 1: declines in motivation and ability. But people who ask AI
- 11:35Speaker 1: for background thinking or clarifications do not.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I am insanely.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Guilty of this, but I will say I do type
- 11:43Speaker 1: in like paragraphs, So when I ask AYA, you really do.
- 11:45Speaker 3: It's almost like you actually have all of the background
- 11:49Speaker 3: ye that you need.
- 11:49Speaker 4: You just need like the missing.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Little I need the tiny h Yeah, yeah, that's exactly right.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Start with a blank page when you want its take
- 11:58Speaker 1: on something we're talking about AI, write up your own
- 12:01Speaker 1: analysis and conclusions exactly exactly the askay.
- 12:05Speaker 4: But you're doing AI right. I'm proud of you.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Then you can ask AI to challenge your thinking and
- 12:10Speaker 1: not produce it.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I have two more for you, rotate tasks.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Every time you do a task with AI, follow it
- 12:16Speaker 1: with a task that doesn't involve AI that will keep
- 12:19Speaker 1: your creative effort muscles alive.
- 12:22Speaker 3: That's really That's one where My biggest thing about Ai've done,
- 12:26Speaker 3: besides the fact that it takes up so many natural resources,
- 12:29Speaker 3: is that I feel like, as a creative, if you
- 12:32Speaker 3: rely too much on AI, it's gonna dry your brain up.
- 12:35Speaker 3: We already don't have any original movies in Hollywood anymore. Right.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And then finally, let AI write quick emails. Don't let
- 12:44Speaker 1: it write your essays or memos.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Now.
- 12:47Speaker 1: If it's a quick email, I would love to hope
- 12:50Speaker 1: you'd be able to construct two to three sentences by yourself.
- 12:53Speaker 1: But for those big, long maybe things with work or
- 12:56Speaker 1: your family or whatever, write those bad boys out yourself.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Have all the spelling errors, all the bad punctuation, and
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't let AI basically do too much of the work.
- 13:07Speaker 1: All of these things will help you still use your
- 13:11Speaker 1: brain to some capacity on a daily basis.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I like that I had to write an email the
- 13:15Speaker 3: other day explaining a long thing, and I felt the
- 13:19Speaker 3: bar is low.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Man.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I felt really proud that I wrote the entire You
- 13:22Speaker 3: saw the email, isn't it sad? But I was like,
- 13:24Speaker 3: I wrote that entire thing, But I'm looking at my
- 13:26Speaker 3: email now. Our sales director Jessica had said to you,
- 13:31Speaker 3: and I was c seed on it, Let's have the
- 13:33Speaker 3: baby this weekend.
- 13:34Speaker 4: That would be fun.
- 13:36Speaker 3: And then there's the little prompts I could reply, sounds
- 13:39Speaker 3: like a plan, that would be fun, and let's do
- 13:42Speaker 3: it one of those autos.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yes, so do these things if you don't want AI
- 13:47Speaker 1: to ruin your brain because your memory already is likely
- 13:50Speaker 1: shot just a little bit from the cell phone, not
- 13:55Speaker 1: stay or a wide wedding. Here is a relationship question
- 14:00Speaker 1: that has got a lot of people talking. If someone
- 14:03Speaker 1: says no to a marriage proposal proposal, should the relationship
- 14:10Speaker 1: automatically end?
- 14:11Speaker 2: Does that mean it's like, Okay, well this is done.
- 14:16Speaker 4: I think most of the time, yes.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I would say, according to this relationship expert.
- 14:23Speaker 1: And no, I did not find this person on TikTok uh.
- 14:26Speaker 1: They said not necessarily. They say a rejected proposal doesn't
- 14:29Speaker 1: always mean the relationship has to just be over. It
- 14:32Speaker 1: could simply mean that one person isn't ready for being
- 14:36Speaker 1: married yet. The key is whether both people can have
- 14:39Speaker 1: an honest conversation about what comes next. So that poses
- 14:44Speaker 1: the question have you ever said no? Or has someone
- 14:48Speaker 1: ever said no to you for a proposal? Seven h
- 14:51Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. I honestly
- 14:54Speaker 1: think these things really just kind.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Of happen in movies. I've never heard of anyone saying no.
- 15:00Speaker 4: I don't know anyone in real life that has. I do.
- 15:02Speaker 4: When I was in my senior year of high school,
- 15:05Speaker 4: I was with my high school sweetheart, Daniel Clark.
- 15:08Speaker 3: We'd been together for two years, and the week of
- 15:13Speaker 3: the of Us doing Greece as the show, I was
- 15:17Speaker 3: friendshye of that week, I broke up with him because
- 15:21Speaker 3: it just he was already in college, because I was
- 15:23Speaker 3: a year younger.
- 15:24Speaker 4: It just wasn't working whatever.
- 15:26Speaker 3: And he told me later after the fact, he was like,
- 15:30Speaker 3: I can't believe he broke up with me.
- 15:31Speaker 4: The week of the show opening. I was going to
- 15:34Speaker 4: propose to you after closing night.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I would have said no. Yeah, because I was
- 15:43Speaker 3: a child. Don't like what.
- 15:45Speaker 4: So I'm glad that it didn't get to that point,
- 15:47Speaker 4: but other than that, nobody else was trying to propose
- 15:50Speaker 4: to me.
- 15:50Speaker 1: So yeah, and it's like you see that at on
- 15:54Speaker 1: the jumbo tron at sporting events, a lot or someone
- 15:57Speaker 1: will like proposing the lady, you'll say no, or so
- 15:59Speaker 1: like chug the year instead of take the ring or whatever.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I need to feel like those are states.
- 16:03Speaker 2: I need you to know that that is fake. Okay,
- 16:05Speaker 2: it is not real.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I feel like a lot of people who get proposed
- 16:09Speaker 1: to will say yes just to avoid the awkwardness that part,
- 16:12Speaker 1: and then a couple days later or a couple, you know,
- 16:14Speaker 1: weeks down the road, they'll be like, hey, by the way,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I don't want to do this.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I just feel like I'm always surprised when I even
- 16:22Speaker 3: have ever heard of, oh, someone turned out When you're
- 16:25Speaker 3: in your relationship, don't you just like kind of know
- 16:29Speaker 3: if you're at that point with your partner, Like have
- 16:31Speaker 3: had conversations where like I know, for example, Mike and
- 16:36Speaker 3: I were not engaged, but I know that that's coming,
- 16:40Speaker 3: like yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Yeah, long long down the road. Yeah, okay, I'm just kidding.
- 16:45Speaker 4: But I know that it's coming.
- 16:46Speaker 3: So that is why I always feel like that there's
- 16:48Speaker 3: no way, because how could someone propose without fully knowing
- 16:53Speaker 3: that the person would say yes.
- 16:54Speaker 1: It seems very nineteen twenties to just kind of willy
- 16:57Speaker 1: nilly go for it.
- 16:59Speaker 2: We do have Emily on the phone. Emily, what's your story.
- 17:03Speaker 6: I rejected his proposal because I found out he'd bought
- 17:05Speaker 6: the ring with the money we'd been saving for a
- 17:07Speaker 6: house without telling me. So we had some serious conversations
- 17:11Speaker 6: about finances, learned how to communicate better, and we eventually
- 17:15Speaker 6: did get married, and the second proposal went a whole
- 17:18Speaker 6: lot smoother.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I'll tell you right now, you had us in the.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Phone house the first half.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I'm glad that that worked out in the end, though
- 17:25Speaker 1: I had to kind of prove that, hey, honest conversation afterwards,
- 17:29Speaker 1: where you really got to say how you feel.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Bruh.
- 17:32Speaker 3: I don't know that I would forgive you bought my
- 17:34Speaker 3: ring with essentially my money, with house money.
- 17:38Speaker 4: With half of my money the ring. I'm glad they
- 17:41Speaker 4: got through it, but I was. I'm surprised.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Well, good for you, Emily that at least it worked
- 17:45Speaker 1: out in the end. We do have Robert. Robert, what
- 17:48Speaker 1: about you, man?
- 17:49Speaker 6: I asked my girlfriend to marry me, and she rejected me.
- 17:52Speaker 5: It was a little rocky after that, but we made
- 17:54Speaker 5: it work.
- 17:55Speaker 6: You know, she just wasn't ready. So I asked her
- 17:57Speaker 6: again a few years later and she said, yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 5: We're still married to this day.
- 18:02Speaker 1: There's another situation someone said no and they just said
- 18:04Speaker 1: they stuck with it.
- 18:05Speaker 2: They stuck with it. Yeah.
- 18:07Speaker 3: I think maybe the reason in my head, I'm like,
- 18:10Speaker 3: if someone rejects a proposal, then like it's done. So
- 18:13Speaker 3: is because maybe it's an ego thing. Like if you
- 18:16Speaker 3: got if Corey turned you down, do you think you
- 18:18Speaker 3: would have stayed with her? Wouldn't it kind of feel like, Oh,
- 18:22Speaker 3: she just doesn't want to be with me.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That is a good question.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if you remember this, but I
- 18:26Speaker 1: told you that when Corey and I had been together
- 18:29Speaker 1: for long enough to where it was like, oh, this
- 18:32Speaker 1: is a real thing or whatever, I had let her
- 18:34Speaker 1: know that, just so you're aware, I will probably not
- 18:37Speaker 1: be doing any proposing till I'm thirty. Yeah, and that
- 18:41Speaker 1: was when I was twenty six twenty seven years old.
- 18:43Speaker 4: So she's stuck around.
- 18:44Speaker 1: She stuck around, So I kind of felt that once
- 18:47Speaker 1: I got to at least thirty thirty one or however
- 18:49Speaker 1: old I was. I was like, oh shit, I mean
- 18:52Speaker 1: she's still around now. I don't know I should saying.
- 18:54Speaker 4: This really going to have your baby exactly?
- 19:00Speaker 2: This is am I the problem? It's me hill On
- 19:06Speaker 2: the problem.
- 19:07Speaker 4: It's me.
- 19:07Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 19:10Speaker 5: help probably decide if it's right or if maybe you're
- 19:15Speaker 5: the problem.
- 19:16Speaker 2: That's right, I am the problem.
- 19:18Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Our Brandon and his wife being selfish parents.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Okay, good morning, gave an angie.
- 19:28Speaker 3: My wife and I want to know if we're the
- 19:30Speaker 3: problem for declining our neighbor's camping invitation after having a
- 19:34Speaker 3: terrible time last year.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Wow.
- 19:37Speaker 3: The issue is that the kids loved the camping trip
- 19:40Speaker 3: last year, and they're best friends with our neighbors' kids,
- 19:43Speaker 3: so they want to go again. It's just me and
- 19:45Speaker 3: my wife who had a terrible time because we're hotel
- 19:49Speaker 3: resort people could not hate camping more. My neighbors offered
- 19:55Speaker 3: to just take our kids then and we stay behind,
- 19:58Speaker 3: but we don't feel comfortable with that. So now they're
- 20:00Speaker 3: giving us a hard time and saying we should do
- 20:02Speaker 3: this for our kids, to the point where we feel
- 20:05Speaker 3: like we're being shamed. Should we just go on this
- 20:08Speaker 3: nightmare trip so the kids can be together?
- 20:11Speaker 4: Or do we stand our ground?
- 20:13Speaker 3: Let us know what you think seven oh one two
- 20:16Speaker 3: eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 20:18Speaker 4: You can text us, you can call us.
- 20:20Speaker 3: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 20:22Speaker 3: point seven Facebook page. When I tell you stand your ground, okay,
- 20:26Speaker 3: you are not the problem. Don't let anybody shame you
- 20:30Speaker 3: into thinking otherwise. Yeah, I'm glad that the kids had
- 20:34Speaker 3: such good time camping last year, but if you hate it,
- 20:38Speaker 3: I think you should have to go. And one of
- 20:40Speaker 3: the great things about being a parent is you get
- 20:42Speaker 3: to decide what your kids do and don't.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Dan is right, you are judge the jury.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Yes, so no, you don't have to go. I get
- 20:49Speaker 4: where you're neighbor.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I don't think your neighbors are probably not, you know, malintentioned, right,
- 20:53Speaker 3: They probably are just like, no, it'll be fun, Toda,
- 20:56Speaker 3: it can't be that terrible because they love camping, right.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 3: So when someone's like it's not my thing, it's hard
- 21:02Speaker 3: for them to fathom. I think, like, how bad could
- 21:05Speaker 3: it really be? But apparently, like y'all hate it so hard?
- 21:09Speaker 3: Find something different and fun to do with your kids.
- 21:13Speaker 3: The worst thing in the world isn't saying no to
- 21:16Speaker 3: your kids. I get like the kids should have a
- 21:19Speaker 3: fun summer, and if this is something they want to do,
- 21:22Speaker 3: at least they went last year because find something different
- 21:25Speaker 3: to do. I would not want to go do something
- 21:29Speaker 3: I hate just because my kids love it.
- 21:31Speaker 4: And guess what, as a parent, that happens a lot.
- 21:34Speaker 3: You do a lot of things that you don't care
- 21:37Speaker 3: about and you don't want to do because your kids
- 21:39Speaker 3: love it. And those are the sacrifices that we make
- 21:42Speaker 3: for our children, and we chose that life and we
- 21:43Speaker 3: love it. However, there are times where you can just
- 21:47Speaker 3: say no. So this is one of your times. I
- 21:51Speaker 3: don't think Brandon. I don't think you and your wife
- 21:53Speaker 3: are the problem or being selfish and your neighbors need
- 21:56Speaker 3: to calm down.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah, well I would agree with that. I think the
- 21:59Speaker 1: neighbors need to calm down. I like being shamed into
- 22:02Speaker 1: going to do something you don't want to do. I
- 22:03Speaker 1: think that's insane. I wonder if there is something they
- 22:06Speaker 1: could do different to maybe make it a bit more enjoyable.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I wish I knew what they didn't love. Did they
- 22:12Speaker 1: you know, have to sleep in a tent on a
- 22:14Speaker 1: terrible air mattress that got popped.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Did that?
- 22:16Speaker 3: I think if you when he says they're hotel resort people,
- 22:20Speaker 3: I think it's they like comfort.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so kind of no.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Matter what you do camping, I don't know that it's
- 22:25Speaker 3: ever going to be the most as comfortable as a
- 22:27Speaker 3: hotel resort.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I wonder if there's something they could do
- 22:30Speaker 1: to improve it, though, Like could you put a lamb?
- 22:33Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Could you potentially get yourself one of those camping vans
- 22:37Speaker 1: for a weekend, which obviously is not a hotel, or
- 22:39Speaker 1: can you could you get an RV or a pop
- 22:42Speaker 1: up camp or something that you know has air conditioning
- 22:45Speaker 1: and a mattress, you know. Now, granted those aren't super cheap,
- 22:49Speaker 1: you can't, yeah, just but you can rent them for
- 22:52Speaker 1: a weekend and if you could afford it, maybe that
- 22:55Speaker 1: would be the way.
- 22:56Speaker 2: To go about this.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I do kind of think it stinks that the kids
- 22:59Speaker 1: can't go camp and I love going can That's one
- 23:00Speaker 1: of my favorite things of all time. So I'll never
- 23:02Speaker 1: kind of be on the team of I want to
- 23:05Speaker 1: stay in a hotel. All right, tough enough, now, I
- 23:08Speaker 1: know what, Angie's gonna turn around and say she's gonna
- 23:11Speaker 1: use my own advice against me. It's good for the
- 23:14Speaker 1: kids to go through some adversis Oh.
- 23:16Speaker 4: My gosh, yes, why I didn't even think of that
- 23:19Speaker 4: is good.
- 23:20Speaker 2: It is good for kids to hear no. Yeah, that
- 23:22Speaker 2: is good for them to hear no sometimes.
- 23:25Speaker 3: But I think give them an alternative fun thing though.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Sure, like kind of meet in the middle somewhere, yeah,
- 23:31Speaker 2: or like.
- 23:31Speaker 3: If they want to spend time with you know, because
- 23:33Speaker 3: the friends, the neighbors kids are friends. Like maybe maybe
- 23:39Speaker 3: this year instead of the camping trip, it's like, no,
- 23:41Speaker 3: no neighbors, you come with us and we do like
- 23:45Speaker 3: family resort time.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Sure, well just yeah, if they wait, now that I
- 23:48Speaker 1: think about it, if they can afford hotel resort time,
- 23:51Speaker 1: they could probably afford renting a better camping situation time.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Sure that's true, But maybe.
- 23:59Speaker 4: There is the middle ground. What do you think? What
- 24:01Speaker 4: would you do in this situation?
- 24:03Speaker 3: Give branded some advice here seven oh one too, eight
- 24:06Speaker 3: on one, nine eighty seven, also up on our Facebook page.
- 24:14Speaker 1: The problem All right, should Brandon and his wife go
- 24:18Speaker 1: camping with their neighbors even though they didn't necessarily love it.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Last day.
- 24:22Speaker 4: They hated it last yek ye, fair enough, they hated it.
- 24:24Speaker 1: They're more hotel resort people as opposed to camping people.
- 24:28Speaker 1: But the kids really want to go. Seven oh one
- 24:31Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven. We do have
- 24:34Speaker 1: Consuelo on the phone. Consuelo, what do you think?
- 24:36Speaker 7: Well, I was thinking, well, you know, as much as
- 24:39Speaker 7: they dislike it, and if they went last year, they
- 24:42Speaker 7: could give it one more try and think of all
- 24:46Speaker 7: the perks that they could do to enhance their comfort
- 24:50Speaker 7: and give it one more shot and then that way
- 24:52Speaker 7: it's like next year, you know, hey, sorry, we did it,
- 24:55Speaker 7: and then it can just set the future of you know,
- 24:59Speaker 7: the don't expect them to go, so if they give
- 25:01Speaker 7: it one more shots that could end it, or as
- 25:05Speaker 7: they choose to not do at this time, I mean,
- 25:07Speaker 7: they'll there might be that possibility of always dealing with
- 25:10Speaker 7: the discomfort of them bringing it up, or even the
- 25:13Speaker 7: expectation of being put in that position to maybe go
- 25:17Speaker 7: next year.
- 25:18Speaker 3: That makes sense because that old adage once is never
- 25:21Speaker 3: twice as always, So they only gave it one shot,
- 25:24Speaker 3: so it could be like it's not always like that
- 25:27Speaker 3: if they do it the second time and they still
- 25:29Speaker 3: hate it. It's like, no, we just hate camping.
- 25:31Speaker 4: You're not wrong there, girl. I like this perspective. Thank you, Gonzuelo.
- 25:35Speaker 7: Yeah, you have a great one. Thank you.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Bye.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I wonder if what if they like rented a cabin
- 25:43Speaker 1: or like rented a like a I don't know.
- 25:46Speaker 3: You are team, your team, just do the camping, but
- 25:50Speaker 3: do everything in your.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Power to make it as comfortable as possible.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you can do yeah, cheat camp.
- 25:57Speaker 4: What's wrong with yeah, cheat camp or glamping?
- 25:59Speaker 3: I think that's why lamping was invented because yeah, some
- 26:02Speaker 3: guy took his girlfriend camping and she was like it's
- 26:04Speaker 3: a no. And he was like, now what if way
- 26:07Speaker 3: better and you can have more comforts and then she said, okay.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Then it's cute. Then it's kill and you put it
- 26:13Speaker 2: on Instagram.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I'm never ever, ever, I'm always gonna be team camping.
- 26:19Speaker 2: It's fun.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I think it's fun being outside and doing absolutely nothing.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I think that shows how old I've gotten. But there
- 26:26Speaker 1: is something about, you know, being in touch with nature,
- 26:28Speaker 1: seeing the great outdoors. Maybe the camp site they went
- 26:31Speaker 1: to last year stunk, just.
- 26:33Speaker 4: So you just got to do more research, find a
- 26:35Speaker 4: better campsite.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Tanya said on Facebook. I think in families, we all
- 26:39Speaker 3: need to do things others like. You may not enjoy
- 26:42Speaker 3: it as much, but they do. And they may participate
- 26:45Speaker 3: in something that you like and they don't as much.
- 26:47Speaker 3: The point is that you do it together and try
- 26:49Speaker 3: to experience their love for it. I'm guessing it's a
- 26:51Speaker 3: weekend sort of thing, small sacrifice for their big memories. Okay, Tanya,
- 26:56Speaker 3: I hate that I do agree with this because because
- 27:00Speaker 3: there is the huge part of me that's like, no,
- 27:03Speaker 3: don't do it.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Go to the hotel resort, tell your kids no.
- 27:06Speaker 3: But then when you put it like this, yeah, like
- 27:10Speaker 3: if it's making memories with your kids, gush, dang it
- 27:13Speaker 3: pulling at my heart strength.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Oh I just see Melissa, she said exactly what I
- 27:16Speaker 1: just said.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Melissa agreed. Here, rent a cabin or a camper or something.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Oh okay, see, so Julia said, I do like Angie's take.
- 27:24Speaker 3: You could find something else that is fun to do
- 27:26Speaker 3: with the kids. I'm back to my own opinion. I
- 27:28Speaker 3: like that better. I don't think they should go camping.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I'm onto you, Julia. I think you just messing with
- 27:33Speaker 3: me in the comments the past months. But seven oh,
- 27:37Speaker 3: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. What do
- 27:39Speaker 3: you think. Should they give it one more.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Shot kind of like Consuelo said on the phone, or
- 27:45Speaker 1: should they just set the hard not did it last year?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Absolutely hated it with the kiddos.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Because it does stink they I'm sure it's fun for
- 27:53Speaker 1: them to hang out with their friends for a couple
- 27:54Speaker 1: of days and things like that.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Stella said, backyard camping for the kids. I feel like
- 28:00Speaker 3: that's as close to the best of both worlds they're
- 28:03Speaker 3: gonna get.
- 28:03Speaker 1: That's not fun at all, really, I mean it's not
- 28:06Speaker 1: not fun. Sure, it's cool to sleep in the tent,
- 28:08Speaker 1: but half the point, it's like the trip. It's going somewhere,
- 28:10Speaker 1: it's and you can sleep.
- 28:11Speaker 2: In your back.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Why don't they just drive around the city for an
- 28:14Speaker 3: hour and then come back home.
- 28:16Speaker 2: No, you got me? Please, please please don't prove them.
- 28:25Speaker 1: There's a new trend called the divorce ring. Instead of
- 28:30Speaker 1: selling or storing away ring, people are essentially changing them
- 28:36Speaker 1: off just a tiny bit, resetting the diamonds, getting maybe
- 28:39Speaker 1: a new diamond in it, okay, and just turning it
- 28:43Speaker 1: into a brand new piece of jewelry, symbolizing kind of
- 28:47Speaker 1: a fresh start. And Okay, I don't hate that. I
- 28:49Speaker 1: love that. I think that's great. If that's what you
- 28:50Speaker 1: want to do, then that's.
- 28:51Speaker 2: What you should. I mean, you have the piece of
- 28:53Speaker 2: jewelry exactly.
- 28:54Speaker 1: What I don't love is that we are also wearing
- 28:58Speaker 1: this on our middle thing, uh to I don't know,
- 29:02Speaker 1: represent that to your divorced or something along those lines.
- 29:05Speaker 2: And if you want to do that, who am I
- 29:07Speaker 2: to stop? That's embarrassing. I don't care about that.
- 29:09Speaker 4: I don't like.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I don't think that's like cute.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I don't know, just just change it and wear it
- 29:14Speaker 1: on your other hand or I don't know, anything.
- 29:17Speaker 3: But that to put it on the middle finger, like
- 29:20Speaker 3: I don't know if I can say the letters, but
- 29:22Speaker 3: like as.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Like eff yeah, yeah are you yes?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 29:28Speaker 4: I don't want to get in trouble, but like that's
- 29:31Speaker 4: how old are we? How old are we? What do
- 29:34Speaker 4: you mean?
- 29:35Speaker 5: No?
- 29:36Speaker 2: I just I don't know, Like what do you what
- 29:38Speaker 2: do you?
- 29:39Speaker 5: What?
- 29:39Speaker 1: Do you take a picture of the ring on your
- 29:41Speaker 1: middle finger and put it on Instagram?
- 29:43Speaker 3: Like embarrassment second hand of bear In fact, if I'm
- 29:46Speaker 3: the person that you got a divorce from and then
- 29:49Speaker 3: you do that, I'm like yeah, I dodged a bullet actually,
- 29:52Speaker 3: because that's embarrassing looking.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Because I was joking with Angie this morning, I was like, Angie,
- 29:56Speaker 1: could you imagine I did this? I literally took my
- 29:59Speaker 1: ring off put it on my middle finger, and I
- 30:02Speaker 1: was like, how cute.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Does this look? And we were both super cringed.
- 30:05Speaker 4: I hate it.
- 30:06Speaker 3: And but you know what, if you are getting a
- 30:09Speaker 3: divorce or went through divorce, whatever, because you're getting out
- 30:12Speaker 3: of a relationship that doesn't serve you, I fully am
- 30:16Speaker 3: not like stay married just because you are married, Like,
- 30:20Speaker 3: if it's not working, if things are never gonna get better,
- 30:24Speaker 3: I fully support like get out of it.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred.
- 30:27Speaker 3: I mean obviously it'd be wild if I didn't. I
- 30:30Speaker 3: literally am going through divorce. But I can't imagine taking
- 30:35Speaker 3: the ring that we extend and then putting it on
- 30:37Speaker 3: my middle finger and being like.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I got out of this. Yeah.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Well but while you may not do that, you still
- 30:47Speaker 1: might find a way to celebrate somehow, do something special
- 30:50Speaker 1: for yourself. This could obviously go for guys or ladies.
- 30:53Speaker 1: And Amanda just texted she said, I'm divorced. I have
- 30:56Speaker 1: two boys with my ex husband, but I celebrate, but
- 31:00Speaker 1: I celebrated by buying myself a whole cake that said
- 31:03Speaker 1: happy to be divorced. She said, I also like to
- 31:05Speaker 1: text him and wish him a happy ex spouse Day
- 31:09Speaker 1: on April fourteenth. Hopefully that's like falling in. It's a
- 31:12Speaker 1: cute situation. Yeah, well yeah, yeah, yeah right.
- 31:18Speaker 2: And I did put this.
- 31:19Speaker 1: On Facebook where you can chime on and if you want.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I love this one from Amanda. This I think is
- 31:25Speaker 1: pretty funny. And I did ask about.
- 31:27Speaker 4: Yeah made it. We got a lot of divorced amandas here.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Well I did.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I did ask if I was allowed to laugh at this,
- 31:34Speaker 1: because you never know what someone's going through. She did
- 31:36Speaker 1: say got matching tattoos with my mom added bonus, he
- 31:40Speaker 1: hates tattoos and my mom oh, And I said, I
- 31:45Speaker 1: don't know if I'm allowed to laugh at this or not,
- 31:47Speaker 1: but it made me laugh, and she said, laugh away.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I think it's pretty funny too, Mike. He's celebrated by
- 31:53Speaker 1: getting married again.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Well there you go, there you go.
- 31:57Speaker 1: We did have Joy who said bought a how and
- 32:00Speaker 1: living my best life? Hey, congratulations Joy. And then we
- 32:05Speaker 1: also do have someone on the phone. I believe this
- 32:07Speaker 1: is Michelle. Michelle, is this you? What happened?
- 32:10Speaker 2: What'd you celebrate? How'd you celebrate when you got divorced?
- 32:13Speaker 6: The day after everything was finalized, I booked the solo
- 32:16Speaker 6: trip to the beach. There was no agenda, no celebrating.
- 32:19Speaker 3: I just wanted to sit somewhere peaceful and remind myself
- 32:22Speaker 3: that starting over didn't have to be scary.
- 32:24Speaker 1: That's great, great advice. I do love that. She added in,
- 32:27Speaker 1: I just wanted to sit somewhere peaceful. Yeah, just take
- 32:31Speaker 1: a deep breath, enjoy some sunshine, maybe sip of my tie,
- 32:35Speaker 1: watching sailboats go by.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Can I tell you the absolutely stupid thing that did
- 32:41Speaker 3: not last long? When me and my explain what happened,
- 32:45Speaker 3: he never liked the look of like gauged ears, like
- 32:49Speaker 3: stretching out the Yeah, he always hated that. And so
- 32:52Speaker 3: when we were together, because I had my ears gauged
- 32:55Speaker 3: before I thought I was. I don't know what I
- 32:56Speaker 3: thought I was, so I didn't have them gauged were together,
- 33:00Speaker 3: but as soon as we I was like, I'm gonna
- 33:03Speaker 3: put the gages back in. I didn't do it correctly.
- 33:06Speaker 3: They got infected. My ears are not gauged now, but one.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Second, I was like, because I never could.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Angie's cool phase lasted.
- 33:16Speaker 3: All of it was probably like four days.
- 33:26Speaker 1: There was this very funny text that was sent to
- 33:28Speaker 1: us this morning that I had to share, and it
- 33:30Speaker 1: was from Julia, who we love. Yes, she said, no
- 33:34Speaker 1: offense to Gabe, and right then and there, I go, oh.
- 33:36Speaker 2: God, what did I do?
- 33:38Speaker 3: Now?
- 33:39Speaker 2: No offense to Gabe.
- 33:40Speaker 1: But I'm very sad to hear his voice this morning.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Hope is hanging in there, So no baby g just yet.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I really really was hoping this weekend would be the weekend,
- 33:53Speaker 1: just because with PTO it would have lined up really perfectly.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Yeah, sadly that was not the case.
- 33:59Speaker 1: And it's so funny when your wife is nine months
- 34:03Speaker 1: forty weeks and three days or something like.
- 34:06Speaker 4: That, when she's the most pregnant anyone could be.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah, any time there's like a little or a little
- 34:13Speaker 1: noise or anything, you're like, oh, is this the time,
- 34:17Speaker 1: and just kind of keeps sitting there and do nothing.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You watch chess videos on YouTube. So it was like,
- 34:24Speaker 1: I don't want to say it was like a long weekend,
- 34:26Speaker 1: but it was kind of long because you're just hoping
- 34:29Speaker 1: for this thing, you know, and then it's just sadly
- 34:32Speaker 1: never arrives. There's a couple of good things though. So
- 34:34Speaker 1: on Friday, you gotta go do another appointment, and we
- 34:38Speaker 1: found out all is good. Nothing, there's literally no changes.
- 34:41Speaker 1: She just didn't ready yet chilling. She's just baking away.
- 34:45Speaker 1: She's going more crock pot instead of microwave, you know
- 34:48Speaker 1: what I mean. And all was good on all those checks.
- 34:51Speaker 1: So the good news is at some point this week
- 34:53Speaker 1: and I was asked to not say the day, but
- 34:55Speaker 1: at some point this week, she's gonna be here one
- 34:57Speaker 1: way or another.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know what's gonna happen.
- 35:00Speaker 1: You know what's gonna happen, will be geared up for
- 35:03Speaker 1: this day and then it'll be like two or three
- 35:07Speaker 1: am the day before or the day of versus.
- 35:10Speaker 2: You know you can't wait till the morning, right, No, Just.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Baby G is gonna do a baby G wants to do.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Okay, yep.
- 35:17Speaker 3: If anything, you set a tea time to go golf
- 35:20Speaker 3: with Mikey.
- 35:21Speaker 4: I bet you that'll make her gay.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I swear.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I texted Corey this morning, I'm like, I'm gonna go
- 35:24Speaker 1: eat golf balls tomorrow. Hey, you know I'll get to
- 35:27Speaker 1: whole six I'll be the furthest away you could possibly
- 35:30Speaker 1: be from the parking lot, and it'll be hey, it's
- 35:33Speaker 1: time to come home time. I know, I feel like
- 35:36Speaker 1: that's the only strategy. But I will say, throughout this
- 35:38Speaker 1: whole thing, obviously we're learning what parent patience is. But
- 35:43Speaker 1: the hardest part is we're just waiting to wait. Well
- 35:46Speaker 1: I am Cory is waiting to then all do all
- 35:49Speaker 1: this work. Yeah, I'm waiting to just kind of wait
- 35:51Speaker 1: and to sit in the hospital essentially. But I've kind
- 35:54Speaker 1: of learned a lot, you know, like what do dates
- 35:56Speaker 1: actually mean? What forty nothing?
- 35:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 35:58Speaker 2: What forty weeks?
- 36:00Speaker 1: Because you never ever hear anyone go like, oh, yeah,
- 36:03Speaker 1: I was like four days later.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Never ever do you hear that.
- 36:06Speaker 1: I feel like I always hear, oh it was like
- 36:09Speaker 1: two weeks early, or it was ten days early or
- 36:11Speaker 1: what ever.
- 36:12Speaker 4: You just haven't talked to enough.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I know I haven't talked to.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Enough moms yet because I don't even know what due
- 36:17Speaker 1: dates truly mean.
- 36:18Speaker 3: That I was a week late, like me coming out
- 36:21Speaker 3: of my mom Yeah, I was a week later than
- 36:23Speaker 3: it was supposed to be.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I have a buddy who was two weeks late. He
- 36:27Speaker 1: had called me on Thursday just to check in. It'll
- 36:30Speaker 1: be Baby G's godfather, and he was like, hey, you
- 36:32Speaker 1: got a due date today. I haven't got a text
- 36:34Speaker 1: or anything, blah blah blah. And I was like, eh, bro,
- 36:36Speaker 1: I am chilling. Yeah, I am so super hard chilling
- 36:40Speaker 1: just at the house doing nothing. And he was like, oh, yeah, man,
- 36:43Speaker 1: that can happen. Like I was two weeks late. And
- 36:45Speaker 1: I told him right there. I was like, if this
- 36:49Speaker 1: baby G is two weeks late, which she won't be,
- 36:51Speaker 1: but if she was, Corey would not be thrilled at all.
- 36:55Speaker 1: She's so done being pregnant.
- 36:57Speaker 4: H Yeah, I can't. I'm not especially this.
- 37:00Speaker 2: He I know you ready, I know.
- 37:03Speaker 1: And Corey's mom's been at the house, which it has
- 37:06Speaker 1: been wonderful. She's really kind of helping just get a
- 37:08Speaker 1: lot of things prepped and ready to rock for when
- 37:10Speaker 1: Baby G arrives. But I'm sure even she at some
- 37:12Speaker 1: point is like, oh man, how long can I not
- 37:15Speaker 1: be at home?
- 37:16Speaker 5: Right?
- 37:16Speaker 2: You know?
- 37:17Speaker 1: So baby Gjesus testing patients already.
- 37:21Speaker 3: I know that your mom must have a dope uterus. Okay,
- 37:25Speaker 3: but you gotta come out, okay, were ready to meet you?
- 37:29Speaker 2: Baby girl, there.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Is a sentence I never thought I would hear, Cory,
- 37:32Speaker 1: you got a dope.
- 37:33Speaker 5: Uterus starting off the day with something good. This is
- 37:43Speaker 5: Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 37:49Speaker 1: All Right, some exciting news for Bison nation. This week
- 37:52Speaker 1: marks another milestone as North Dakota State officially steps into
- 37:57Speaker 1: its new era of football. Head coach Tim Polsek and
- 38:01Speaker 1: four Bison players are heading to Las Vegas to represent
- 38:05Speaker 1: NDSU at the school's first ever Mountain West Football Media Days.
- 38:11Speaker 2: And this actually happens this week.
- 38:12Speaker 1: It will happen on Wednesday and Thursday, so the fifteenth
- 38:17Speaker 1: and the sixteenth. This is the first time the Bison
- 38:20Speaker 1: will take part in the conference's annual kickoff event as
- 38:24Speaker 1: an FBS program.
- 38:26Speaker 2: And you only get one first.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true, You'll only get one first.
- 38:31Speaker 1: This is gonna put Fargo and NDSU on a national stage,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and it's just another reminder that one of college football's
- 38:37Speaker 1: most successful programs is starting a new exciting chapter. And
- 38:42Speaker 1: all of us here on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 38:44Speaker 1: obviously in the FM area or the Red River Valley,
- 38:47Speaker 1: we get to be along for the ride. So congratulations
- 38:50Speaker 1: on a big, massive, moment for the NDSU football program
- 38:54Speaker 1: coming up on Wednesday and Thursday.
- 38:57Speaker 2: And if you.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Don't know, this is my favorite Qui broken crams. They
- 39:01Speaker 1: still color and the world is full of nice people.
- 39:03Speaker 1: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
