- 0:03Welcome to this Sunday edition of the Voices
- 0:06of Life podcast, a ministry of the Church for
- 0:09Life. I'm Pastor David, and today we gather again
- 0:13in the light of Resurrection, continuing the
- 0:16journey that began on Easter morning. The tomb
- 0:20is still empty, the promise is still alive, the
- 0:23Savior still reigns, and His presence still fills
- 0:28our hearts with peace. This Sunday, we turn our
- 0:35hearts toward living in the power of resurrection,
- 0:39not just celebrating what happened, but embracing
- 0:43what it means for our daily lives. The resurrection
- 0:48was not the end of the story. It was the beginning
- 0:52of a new way of living. It was the dawn of grace,
- 0:58the birth of hope, and the invitation to walk
- 1:03in newness of life. Take a moment now to breathe
- 1:09deeply and let gratitude rise within you. The
- 1:14same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells
- 1:18in you. That truth changes everything. It changes
- 1:24how we see ourselves, how we face challenges,
- 1:28and how we love others. Resurrection life is
- 1:33not a distant promise. It is a present reality.
- 1:39Today we will explore what it means to live as
- 1:43a resurrection people, people of faith, people
- 1:47of hope, people of love. We will walk you through
- 1:52scripture, reflection, and prayer, allowing the
- 1:57word of God to speak to our hearts. and renew
- 2:00our minds. Let us begin with the words of the
- 2:06Apostle Paul, If anyone is in Christ, he is a
- 2:13new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.
- 2:21These words remind us that resurrection is not
- 2:26only about Jesus rising from the grave, It is
- 2:30about us rising from the places of defeat, despair,
- 2:35and doubt. It is about stepping into the new
- 2:41life God has prepared for us. Maybe today you
- 2:47feel weighted down by something, a burden, a
- 2:51worry, a regret. Hear the truth. The same power
- 2:57that rolled away the stone can roll away the
- 3:01heaviness in your heart. The same love that conquered
- 3:07death can conquer fear. The same grace that raised
- 3:14Jesus can raise you. Take a moment to reflect
- 3:21on what needs to rise in your life today. what
- 3:26needs renewal, what needs restoration, what needs
- 3:33resurrection. Let the Holy Spirit speak to you
- 3:39gently and clearly. We turn to the teaching of
- 3:49Jesus in John 10, verse 10. I have come that
- 3:58they may have life and have it more abundantly.
- 4:06Abundant life is not measured by possessions
- 4:09or achievements. It is measured by peace, purpose,
- 4:12and presence. It is the life that flows from
- 4:19knowing Christ intimately and walking with Him
- 4:23daily. That's right, each and every day. Abundant
- 4:31life means living with open hands and open hearts.
- 4:36It means forgiving freely, loving deeply, and
- 4:40serving joyfully. It means trusting God even
- 4:46when the path is uncertain. It means believing
- 4:51that His promises are true. And his plans are
- 4:55good. Let this truth settle into your spirit.
- 5:02You were created for abundant life. You were
- 5:08redeemed for abundant life. You were empowered
- 5:12for abundant life. The resurrection is God's
- 5:19declaration that life wins and that your life
- 5:24is yours in Christ. Let's have a little quiet
- 5:34reflection. Allow the presence of God to fill
- 5:38the space around you. Let his peace wash over
- 5:43you. Let his joy strengthen you. Let his love
- 5:48surround you. This is a sacred moment. A moment
- 5:53to rest, to breathe, to receive. Let us pray.
- 6:02Lord Jesus, thank you for the gift of new life.
- 6:05Thank you for the power of your resurrection
- 6:08that continues to transform us. Teach us to live
- 6:15as people of hope. People of grace. People of
- 6:25love. Fill us with your spirit and lead us into
- 6:33the fullness of life. You have promised the life
- 6:39you have promised. We honor you. We worship you.
- 6:43And we celebrate you. Our risen Savior and living
- 6:47King. Amen. I invite you now to rest in the presence
- 7:03of God and let his words speak to your heart.
- 7:09The first time you ever felt him, felt him in
- 7:17your heart. It reminds you of the resurrection.
- 7:22Life is not just a promise for eternity, but
- 7:26a power for today. Now let's ask ourselves, how
- 7:35do we live that resurrection life in a world
- 7:40that still feels broken? Well, the answer begins
- 7:47with faith. Faith is the bridge between what
- 7:51we see and what we believe. Faith is the hand
- 7:57that reaches for the unseen and holds on to the
- 8:01promises of God. The resurrection teaches us
- 8:06that faith is not blind optimism. It is confident
- 8:10trust in a living Savior. It is the assurance
- 8:15that even when life feels uncertain, God is still
- 8:22faithful. Let us look to the story of the disciples
- 8:28after the resurrection. They had seen the risen
- 8:34Christ, yet they still faced challenges, still
- 8:39faced persecution and uncertainty. But they lived
- 8:44with the courage, the courage they felt inside,
- 8:51because they knew the truth. They knew Jesus
- 8:57was alive, that truth gave them strength to stand.
- 9:02hope to endure, and joy to keep going. The same
- 9:07truth is yours today. Faith in Christ means believing
- 9:15that God is working even when you cannot see
- 9:18it. It means trusting that His timing is perfect,
- 9:24His plan is good, and His love never fails. It
- 9:29means walking forward even when the path is unclear.
- 9:36Knowing that the one who conquered death walks
- 9:41beside you. Take a moment to reflect on where
- 9:47God is calling you to trust him. What is he calling
- 9:53you to do? Is he calling you to trust him more
- 9:58deeply? Maybe it's in your family, your work,
- 10:03your health, or your future. Whatever it is,
- 10:09let faith rise within you. Let the resurrection
- 10:11remind you that nothing is impossible with God.
- 10:19Next we turn to the power of love. The resurrection...
- 10:25is the ultimate expression of love. Love that
- 10:31sacrifices, love that forgives, and love that
- 10:34restores. Jesus did not rise from the grave to
- 10:39prove his strength. He rose to prove his love.
- 10:45And that love now lives in us. Love is the mark
- 10:52of resurrection. It is the resurrection in people.
- 11:02It is how the world knows we belong to Christ.
- 11:06It is how we reflect His heart. Love is not just
- 11:13an emotion. It is an action. It is patience,
- 11:16kindness, humility, and grace. It is choosing
- 11:20forgiveness when it's hard, compassion when it's
- 11:25inconvenient, and generosity What it costs something.
- 11:31Let this truth settle in your spirit. Resurrection
- 11:35love changes everything. It changes how we see
- 11:39others. It changes how we respond to pain. It
- 11:45changes how we live each day. When we love like
- 11:52Jesus, we bring resurrection power. into the
- 11:56world around us. Take a moment now to think of
- 12:03someone who needs that kind of love today. Someone
- 12:09who needs grace, encouragement, or forgiveness.
- 12:14Ask God to help you love them with the same love
- 12:18that raised Jesus from the dead. Let His Spirit
- 12:23guide your heart. And your words. Now we turn
- 12:33to the power of peace. After the resurrection,
- 12:39Jesus appeared to his disciples and said, Peace
- 12:42be with you. Those words were not just a greeting.
- 12:49Think about it. Peace be with you. They were
- 12:54a gift. The resurrection brings peace that the
- 12:59world cannot give and cannot take away. It is
- 13:04peace that anchors us in storms, steadies us
- 13:08in trials, comforts us in uncertainty. Peace
- 13:15is not the absence of trouble. It is the presence
- 13:19of Christ. It is knowing that no matter what
- 13:23happens, God is in control. It is resting in
- 13:31the assurance that His grace is sufficient and
- 13:37His promises are true. Take a deep breath and
- 13:45let that peace fill you. Let it quiet your mind,
- 13:51calm your heart, and renew your spirit. Christ
- 13:58speaks peace over you today. As we move into
- 14:08a time of reflection, allow the Holy Spirit to
- 14:13minister you. Let faith rise, love flow, peace
- 14:19settle. Let this be a moment of renewal, a moment...
- 14:25to receive the gifts of resurrection life. Let
- 14:32us pray. Lord Jesus, thank you for the faith
- 14:38that sustains us, the love that transforms us,
- 14:41and the peace that steadies us. Teach us to live
- 14:46as resurrection people, full of hope, full of
- 14:50grace, full of your spirit. Let our lives reflect
- 14:56your victory and our hearts overflow with your
- 15:00love. We honor you, we worship you, and we thank
- 15:04you for the life you have given us. Amen. I invite
- 15:18you once again to settle your heart in the presence
- 15:23of God. We have reflected on faith, love, and
- 15:27peace, the foundations of resurrection living.
- 15:33Now we turn our attention to the work of the
- 15:37Holy Spirit, the one who empowers us to walk
- 15:42out this new life with strength, clarity, and
- 15:48purpose. The resurrection was not the end of
- 15:55Jesus' ministry on earth. It was the beginning
- 15:59of the Spirit's ministry within us. Jesus told
- 16:05his disciples, It is to your advantage that I
- 16:10go away. For if I do not go, the Helper will
- 16:17not come. The resurrection opened the door for
- 16:23the Spirit to dwell inside us, guide us, and
- 16:29transform us from the inside out. Take a moment
- 16:36to breathe deeply and welcome the Holy Spirit
- 16:39into this moment. He is not distant. He is not
- 16:45silent. He is present. active and working in
- 16:51your life right now. The Spirit brings clarity
- 16:57where there is confusion. He brings comfort where
- 17:03there's sorrow. He brings strength where there
- 17:07is weakness. He brings conviction where there
- 17:12is wandering. And He brings power where there
- 17:16is... Let us reflect on the fruit of the Spirit.
- 17:27Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
- 17:33faithfulness, gentleness, and self -control.
- 17:40These are not qualities we produce on our own.
- 17:44They are the evidence. of the Spirit's work within
- 17:47us. They are the signs of the resurrection life
- 17:51taking root in our hearts. Maybe today you feel
- 17:57like you're lacking in one of these areas. Maybe
- 18:02patience feels thin. Maybe joy is distant. Maybe
- 18:08peace feels fragile. Hear this truth. The Spirit
- 18:15is not asking you to manufacture these things.
- 18:19He is inviting you to receive them. The fruit
- 18:26grows as we remain connected to Christ. Jesus
- 18:33said, I am the vine. You are the branches. Apart
- 18:42from me, you can do nothing. Resurrection life
- 18:48flows from the connection, connection to Christ,
- 18:52connection to His Word, connection to His Spirit.
- 18:59When we remain in Him, life flows, strength flows,
- 19:05wisdom flows, peace flows. Everything we need
- 19:12flows from him. Take a moment now to reflect
- 19:18on your connection to Christ. Are there places
- 19:23where you feel disconnected? Are there areas
- 19:29where you've been trying to carry things in your
- 19:33own strength? Let this be a moment of reconnection.
- 19:41A moment of surrender. A moment of renewal. Now
- 19:52we turn to the gifts of the Spirit. The resurrection
- 19:56not only transforms our character, it equips
- 20:03us for purpose. The Spirit gives gifts. These
- 20:12gifts are wisdom, discernment, encouragement,
- 20:19teaching, leadership, compassion, faith, and
- 20:31so many more. Not for our glory, but for the
- 20:37building up of others. You have been gifted.
- 20:42You have been called. You have been equipped
- 20:45for something meaningful in the kingdom of God.
- 20:51Let this truth settle into your heart. You are
- 20:56not an observer in the story of God. You're a
- 21:01willing participant. You are a vessel. You are
- 21:06light. The Spirit has placed something within
- 21:10you. that the world needs. Your voice matters.
- 21:16Your presence matters. Your obedience matters.
- 21:23Take a moment to ask the Holy Spirit to stir
- 21:27up the gifts within you. Ask Him to reveal your
- 21:32calling, to strengthen your purpose and guide
- 21:38your steps. He is faithful to lead you. We reflect
- 21:50on the Spirit's role as our comforter. Life brings
- 21:58seasons of grief, loss, uncertainty. But the
- 22:04Spirit walks with us through every valley. He
- 22:09whispers hope. when our hearts feel heavy. He
- 22:15brings peace when our minds feel overwhelmed.
- 22:19He reminds us that we are never alone. If you
- 22:27are carrying something heavy today, let the Spirit
- 22:31comfort you. Let Him lift that weight from you.
- 22:39Let him breathe peace into your soul. Let him
- 22:44remind you that God is with you, God is for you,
- 22:47and God will carry you through. As we move into
- 22:56a time of quiet meditation, allow the Holy Spirit
- 23:02to minister you. Let his presence fill the room.
- 23:08His peace settle over you. Let his voice speak
- 23:13gently to your heart. This is a sacred moment.
- 23:21A moment of encounter. A moment of renewal. And
- 23:30a moment of transformation. Let us pray. Holy
- 23:38Spirit, we welcome you. Thank you for your presence,
- 23:42your power, and your guidance. Thank you for
- 23:46transforming our hearts, renewing our minds,
- 23:50and equipping us for your purpose. Stir up the
- 23:55gifts within us. Strengthen our connection to
- 23:58Christ. Lead us into the fullness of resurrection
- 24:04life. We honor you, we trust you, and we surrender
- 24:09to your work within us. Amen. As we enter our
- 24:25last segment today, I invite you to let your
- 24:30heart rest in the goodness of God. We have walked
- 24:35through faith, love, peace, renewal, and the
- 24:40work of the Holy Spirit. We now turn our attention
- 24:47to the calling that resurrection life places
- 24:52upon each of us. The call to walk with purpose,
- 24:58to live with intention, and to shine. the light
- 25:03of Christ in a world that desperately needs hope.
- 25:09The resurrection is not only a moment to celebrate,
- 25:13it is a mission to carry. Jesus did not rise
- 25:19from the dead simply to show his victory. He
- 25:22rose to empower ours. He rose to send us out.
- 25:27He rose to make us ambassadors. of his kingdom,
- 25:33carriers of his presence, and witnesses of his
- 25:39love. So let us reflect on the words of Jesus
- 25:48in Matthew 5. You are the light of the world.
- 25:58Not you might be. Not you could be, but you are.
- 26:04The resurrection places a light within you. A
- 26:10light that darkness cannot overcome. A light
- 26:15that fear cannot extinguish. A light that doubt
- 26:21cannot silence. You carry the light of Christ
- 26:26into every room you enter. every conversation
- 26:30you have, every moment you live. Take a moment
- 26:37now to consider where God is calling you to shine
- 26:40that light. Maybe it's in your home. Maybe it's
- 26:47in your workplace. Maybe it's out in your community.
- 26:54Maybe it's in a relationship that needs grace.
- 26:58patience, or forgiveness. Wherever it is, know
- 27:03this. God has placed you there on purpose. You
- 27:10are not an accident. You are not overlooked.
- 27:13You are not insignificant. You are a vessel of
- 27:17his glory. Next, we reflect on the calling of
- 27:24perseverance. Resurrection life does not promise
- 27:30an easy path. It promises a victorious one. The
- 27:36Apostle Paul writes, Let us not grow weary in
- 27:43doing good, for in the season we shall reap if
- 27:48we do not lose heart. Perseverance perseverance
- 27:56is the quiet strength of the believer. It is
- 28:02a steady faith that keeps us going, keeps us
- 28:05trusting, keeps us believing, even when the road
- 28:10feels long. Maybe today you feel weary. Maybe
- 28:17you've been praying for something that hasn't
- 28:21changed yet. Maybe... You've been believing for
- 28:27something that feels delayed. Well, hear this
- 28:32truth. God sees your perseverance. God honors
- 28:39your faithfulness. God is working in ways you
- 28:45cannot see. The resurrection reminds us that
- 28:52God does His greatest work in the moments that
- 28:56feel the most impossible. Now we turn to the
- 29:09calling of compassion. Jesus moved within compassion
- 29:14toward the broken, toward the hurting, the overlooked,
- 29:21the forgotten. Resurrection life calls us to
- 29:25do the same. Compassion is not pity. It is love
- 29:30in action. It is seeing people the way Jesus
- 29:35sees them. It is stepping into their pain with
- 29:40grace, into their need with generosity, into
- 29:46their story with kindness. Take a moment to ask
- 29:54God to give you his heart for the people around
- 29:57you. Ask him to open your eyes to opportunities
- 30:03to serve, to encourage, to uplift, and to bless.
- 30:13Compassion is the language of the kingdom, and
- 30:16every act of compassion carries the fragrance
- 30:21of God. As we continue to reflect on the calling
- 30:29to spiritual maturity, resurrection life is not
- 30:38stagnant. It grows, it deepens, it strengthens.
- 30:44Paul writes, grow in the grace and knowledge.
- 30:50of our Lord Jesus Christ. Grow in the grace and
- 30:56knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Growth is
- 31:01not about perfection. It is about direction.
- 31:05It is about taking one step at a time, one day
- 31:10at a time, one moment at a time, trusting that
- 31:15God is shaping you into the person He created
- 31:19you to be. Spiritual maturity looks like humility.
- 31:25It looks like surrender. It looks like obedience.
- 31:33And it looks like choosing God's way even when
- 31:37it's not the easy way. This takes you trusting
- 31:45His timing, His wisdom, and His plan. Take a
- 31:53moment now to reflect on where God is inviting
- 31:56you to grow. Maybe it's in patience. Maybe it's
- 32:03in trust. Maybe it's in forgiveness. Maybe it's
- 32:11in boldness. Whatever it is, know that growth
- 32:17is a sign of life and resurrection life is always
- 32:21growing. As we close out our last part of this
- 32:30segment, let us reflect on the promise Jesus
- 32:33gave his disciples before he ascended. He said,
- 32:41I am with you always, even to the end of the
- 32:47age. This is the anchor of resurrection life,
- 32:53the presence of Christ. You are never alone.
- 32:57You are never abandoned. You are never without
- 33:01help. Christ walks with you. He speaks to you.
- 33:08He strengthens you. And he leads you. Let that
- 33:14truth settle deeply into your spirit. Let it
- 33:19calm your fears, steady your heart, and renew
- 33:22your hope. The one who conquered the grave walks
- 33:28beside you every step of the way. Now let us
- 33:35lift our hearts in gratitude. Gratitude for the
- 33:41cross. Gratitude for the empty tomb. Gratitude
- 33:45for the spirit who dwells within us. Gratitude
- 33:51for the calling God has placed upon us. upon
- 33:54our lives and gratitude for the hope that will
- 34:01never fade. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, we thank
- 34:11you for this time in your presence. Thank you
- 34:14for the truth of your word, the power of your
- 34:19spirit, and the hope. of your resurrection. As
- 34:27we leave this moment, let your life fill our
- 34:31hearts. Let your peace guide our steps. Let your
- 34:37love shine through everything we do. Strengthen
- 34:42us to walk in purpose, to live with compassion,
- 34:47and to shine your light in every place. you send
- 34:52us. We honor you, we worship you, and we surrender
- 34:59our lives to you again today. In your holy name,
- 35:05we pray. Amen. Thank you for joining us today
- 35:14on Voices of Life, Ministry of the Church for
- 35:17Life. I'm Pastor David. As we finish Sunday,
- 35:21April 12th, 2026, I look forward to our service
- 35:26next Sunday on the 19th of April. And we'll have
- 35:31some more beautiful thoughts of God and how he
- 35:36helps us each and every day live our lives to
- 35:41the fullest. Thank you. God bless you. And we'll
- 35:46see you next week.
