- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello everybody, Game Preview Guy here, and welcome to Week
- 0:04Speaker 1: 2 Football Fanatics. Lots of choice matchups on the docket,
- 0:08Speaker 1: starting with what could be a crazy high-scoring TNF game.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Let's get into it. Thank you, schedulers. What a TNF
- 0:16Speaker 1: game this is. Detroit hitting the road. May not be
- 0:19Speaker 1: Turkey Day just yet, but Lions feeling plenty thankful. to
- 0:22Speaker 1: be 1-0 heading into week two.
- 0:25Speaker 2: For the win, Saints going for two. Chuck looking. He
- 0:29Speaker 2: throws to the end zone. Incomplete. The Lions win it.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Hey, Buffalo feels the same. Bills escaping week one by
- 0:39Speaker 1: the hairs of their chinny-chin-chins as well.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Got to go out of bounds or end zone.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Out of bounds or end zone.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Stroud bobbles the ball. It's free. And it's over.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Rousseau knocks it away. Bernard on the recovery. And Buffalo
- 0:54Speaker 4: slams the door shut.
- 0:55Speaker 3: So what?
- 0:56Speaker 1: Are we in for some kind of crazy double OT thriller?
- 0:59Speaker 1: I say bring it on. Got two offenses that look
- 1:02Speaker 1: like must-see TV, two defenses that looked a little suits L.A.
- 1:06Speaker 1: in their openers, didn't play bad enough to get canceled,
- 1:09Speaker 1: but they have work to do and a short week
- 1:12Speaker 1: to get it done. We have Josh Allen in one corner,
- 1:15Speaker 1: Jameer Gibbs in the other, Gibbs leaving jock straps all
- 1:19Speaker 1: over the field versus New Orleans, 30 receiving yards to
- 1:22Speaker 1: go along with, 156 rush yards on 5.4 a run,
- 1:23Speaker 1: painted the zone twice. Here's Gibbs!
- 1:30Speaker 5: His second touchdown today.
- 1:32Speaker 1: The defense he takes on in this one held his
- 1:35Speaker 1: old mate to three a carry, 20 tries, held Houston
- 1:38Speaker 1: 3.9 a carry.
- 1:39Speaker 6: It's a pitch to Montgomery, trying to string it to
- 1:42Speaker 6: the outside, and Dorian Williams rushing over to make the play.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Now, Houston's rush attack is nothing like Detroit's. Gibbs, the
- 1:51Speaker 1: driving force behind their week one 31-point outing, converted four
- 1:55Speaker 1: of five red zone trips.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Here is Gibbs, walks it in for a Lions touchdown. Gibbs,
- 2:02Speaker 5: a touchdown machine.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So we have a Detroit offense versus a Buffalo defense
- 2:07Speaker 1: that gave up 31 points. Let Houston convert four of
- 2:10Speaker 1: five red zone tries.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Step, fire, Clark for the touchdown.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Well, get the popcorn ready because we could be in
- 2:18Speaker 1: for a show. Allen throwing for 334 yards, two TDs,
- 2:20Speaker 1: a fat Albert, 11 and a half yards per attempt,
- 2:22Speaker 1: a 130 rate. all against what is supposed to be
- 2:29Speaker 1: one of the best secondaries in the game.
- 2:31Speaker 7: Allen on third and 11.
- 2:32Speaker 2: He throws it downfield. It's caught. Palmer, touchdown, Buffalo.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Josh Allen delivers with a fourth-quarter potential dagger.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Allen also made two trips to Bob Ross land. Detroit
- 2:46Speaker 1: looking at a Bills O-face that just hung 36 points
- 2:50Speaker 1: on Houston's Stout D all in their house.
- 2:53Speaker 2: He's got room to run. He's going to take it.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Allen inside the five, and Allen takes it in for
- 2:59Speaker 4: the touchdown.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Now he tries to keep it rolling against a Lions
- 3:03Speaker 1: defense that gave up 30 points to New Orleans. Let
- 3:06Speaker 1: them go four for five in the red zone, allowed
- 3:08Speaker 1: over 450 yards.
- 3:11Speaker 3: To the end zone.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Touchdown.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You can say it was over almost five quarters, but
- 3:16Speaker 1: their last three quarters of play were rough, to say
- 3:19Speaker 1: the least. And by game's end, the secondary Allen faces
- 3:23Speaker 1: gave up 410 yards and three TDs to Tyler Shuck.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Shuck on second down to the end zone. Touchdown! No offense!
- 3:31Speaker 1: 54 yards and a TD allowed to tight end Jawan Johnson.
- 3:34Speaker 1: 69 yards and a touchdown to Devon Vele. And a
- 3:38Speaker 1: whopping 182 yards allowed to Chris Olave. cornerback DJ Reed,
- 3:44Speaker 1: the guy Olave burned for many of those yards as
- 3:47Speaker 1: he allowed a fat 134 yards. Now he has to
- 3:51Speaker 1: try and rebound while chasing DJ Moore around, who slapped
- 3:55Speaker 1: down 100 yards and a TD in his Buffalo debut.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And it's handled!
- 4:00Speaker 3: Nobody there!
- 4:01Speaker 2: Moore breaks away for the touchdown!
- 4:04Speaker 1: Joshua Palmer hauled in a touchdown, 34 yards. Khalil Shakir
- 4:08Speaker 1: heads into Week 2 off a 50-yard showing.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Allen slings it over the middle. It's hauled in. Shakir.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And Allen has Dalton Kincaid at tight end, who racked
- 4:17Speaker 1: up 130 yards in his season opener.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Lays it out there, and it's caught! Big play to Kincaid!
- 4:25Speaker 1: Allen, of course, has to know where Aiden Hutchinson is
- 4:27Speaker 1: at at all times. Hutch, with two of Detroit's five sacks.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You're going to see Aiden Hutchinson. He gets the sack.
- 4:33Speaker 8: He's one-on-one with Kendra Miller.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I mean, that's disrespectful to Aiden Hutchinson.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Derek Barnes, Aleem McNeil, and Roger McCreary with one each. Allen, meantime,
- 4:43Speaker 1: got dropped twice on his 29 pass attempts, only faced
- 4:46Speaker 1: pressure 28% of the time. They can live with that.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Allen's pass is hauled in by Kincaid, and he's still going.
- 4:54Speaker 1: James Cook, of course, will factor. Nothing mind-blowing but 57 yards,
- 4:58Speaker 1: 4-4 run.
- 4:59Speaker 6: Cook accelerates for another Buffalo first down.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Now he gets a Lions front that has some mojo
- 5:05Speaker 1: to it after it held Saints runners to just 91
- 5:08Speaker 1: rush yards, a Ron Measley 3.6 per carry.
- 5:11Speaker 9: Second down and one.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Here's the Louisiana native, A.
- 5:15Speaker 9: Chan.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Back to Detroit's offense. Their line not only helped Gibbs
- 5:19Speaker 1: go off, Jared Goff only took one sack, 39 pass attempts.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And then that allows Jared Goff a little time to
- 5:25Speaker 2: take a look high.
- 5:26Speaker 8: There was nothing available.
- 5:27Speaker 2: That goes back low to the check down that Jameer gives.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Now they try and hold off Bradley Chubb and Greg Rousseau,
- 5:33Speaker 1: the latter with two of Buffalo's three sacks of Stroud.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Couldn't break away. Stroud loses the ball and Buffalo takes over.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Goff comes off a clean game, not an overly explosive
- 5:44Speaker 1: one as he averaged just 5.3 yards per attempt, but
- 5:47Speaker 1: two TDs, no picks.
- 5:49Speaker 5: First down fake to Gibbs, and then Goff complete to Laporta.
- 5:54Speaker 1: He next goes after a Bills secondary that gave up
- 5:56Speaker 1: 274 yards, two TDs, and a 100-plus rate to Stroud.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Wide open! Caught by Montgomery! Touchdown, Texans!
- 6:06Speaker 1: Buffalo gave up 75 yards and a touchdown to Nico Collins.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Cornerback Christian Benford allowing 75 yards and a touchdown, so
- 6:14Speaker 1: he's looking for a better week, too. And it doesn't
- 6:16Speaker 1: get easier with Amon Ross St. Brown this week. He
- 6:19Speaker 1: hauled in Goff's two TDs.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Goff on the slam!
- 6:22Speaker 10: St.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Brown! Touchdown! His second today!
- 6:26Speaker 1: Bill Secondary dealing with the usual suspects, but none of
- 6:29Speaker 1: them have a limp. Jamison Williams, 45 Week 1 yards.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Goff on second down. Williams makes the catch.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And tight end Sam Laporta, 48 yards out of the gate.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Second down at 15.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Goff, a pump fake, pulled it in, and then he
- 6:43Speaker 5: finds Laporta.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Time for one of these two teams to get on
- 6:49Speaker 1: the board. Panthers head southwest Week 2. Wait, let me
- 6:53Speaker 1: double check my GPS. Yep, Southwest. Carolina off to Atlanta
- 6:58Speaker 1: after getting fed a 50-burger with all the fixings in
- 7:01Speaker 1: their opener.
- 7:02Speaker 2: And he's going to take off! Touchdown, Caleb Williams!
- 7:04Speaker 1: Falcons' first home game of the year, hoping maybe if
- 7:08Speaker 1: they get a little too a time... they can find
- 7:10Speaker 1: a way to get their offense going.
- 7:12Speaker 2: It's picked off and it's what? It's a touchdown!
- 7:15Speaker 1: If you were hanging at Scott Hansen's pad last week,
- 7:18Speaker 1: you never saw Atlanta's offense. Okay, maybe they showed them,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but not a single trip to the red zone. Two
- 7:24Speaker 1: for 12 on third down, only 13 points. Rush may
- 7:28Speaker 1: be able to jam with the best of them, but
- 7:30Speaker 1: Cooper was not able to do much from the QB spot.
- 7:34Speaker 1: 143 yards, got picked off twice.
- 7:36Speaker 10: Number one Cardinal rule, you never throw the ball late
- 7:39Speaker 10: and back to the middle of the field.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Atlanta's quarterbacks need better tackle play this week. Rush dropped
- 7:45Speaker 1: four times, just 22 pass attempts. Left tackle Jake Matthews
- 7:50Speaker 1: tagged for three of them by NextGenStats. Right tackle Juwan Taylor,
- 7:54Speaker 1: the other.
- 7:54Speaker 2: They thought this offensive line was a strength.
- 7:57Speaker 1: They need much better play from the QB spot to
- 8:00Speaker 1: have a chance this week. Track Tungavailoa's injury situation. If
- 8:03Speaker 1: they had him and Bijan, maybe they spark up a
- 8:06Speaker 1: little something. Despite being the focal point of Pittsburgh's defense,
- 8:10Speaker 1: Robinson ran for 83 yards.
- 8:13Speaker 10: Robinson a big gain. Bijan Robinson with 20.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Caught eight passes for 90 yards and a TD. He
- 8:20Speaker 1: was pretty much their only source of offense in their
- 8:22Speaker 1: week one loss.
- 8:24Speaker 10: But John Robinson is in for his first touchdown.
- 8:28Speaker 1: They need to diversify their offensive portfolio something fierce. Drake
- 8:33Speaker 1: London only 29 yards on four targets. John Dotson 19 yards.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So we have an offense that put up 13 points
- 8:41Speaker 1: versus a defense that gave up 59.
- 8:44Speaker 2: He played a near perfect game.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Made the plays when he needed the team to.
- 8:48Speaker 1: So what, this is the unstoppable force versus the immovable
- 8:51Speaker 1: object in the upside down world? Carolina gave up over
- 8:56Speaker 1: 550 yards, let Chicago convert 10 of their 14 third downs,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and didn't stop any of the Bears' four red zone trips.
- 9:03Speaker 3: The throw and the catch do not get any better.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Whoever tosses it for Atlanta gets a secondary that gave
- 9:10Speaker 1: up 269 yards, two touchdowns, no picks, and a 120-plus
- 9:15Speaker 1: rate to Caleb Williams.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Touchdown, Chicago! It's John A. Walker!
- 9:19Speaker 1: Cornerback Will Lee in need of a rebound. He gave
- 9:22Speaker 1: up a team-high 90 yards, according to NGS. And linebacker
- 9:26Speaker 1: Devin Lloyd gave up a touchdown, eight catches, eight targets,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and 71 yards for a 140-plus rate. and he and
- 9:34Speaker 1: his mates weren't any better versus the run. Carolina allowed
- 9:38Speaker 1: 291 rush yards on 7.5 per attempt, allowed 100 yards
- 9:43Speaker 1: plus to two different backs.
- 9:45Speaker 8: My goodness, they just keep pouring it on.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Bijon is going to be chomping at the bit to
- 9:49Speaker 1: get on the field against them. Carolina's offense, on the
- 9:52Speaker 1: other hand, would be happy with a repeat performance. 37 points,
- 9:55Speaker 1: 4 for 4 in the red zone, 475 plus yards available, offense.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Atlanta's secondary facing a Bryce Young that very much looked
- 10:04Speaker 1: worthy of a number one overall pick. Over 360 yards,
- 10:08Speaker 1: close to 10 yards per attempt, three touchdowns, a 110 rating.
- 10:13Speaker 10: Young wants to take advantage, and it is caught by Coker.
- 10:16Speaker 1: He, though, faces a DB room that held Aaron Rodgers
- 10:19Speaker 1: to 5.5 yards per attempt. Atlanta coming off a defensive
- 10:23Speaker 1: showing that saw them hold Pittsburgh to just 4.1 yards
- 10:26Speaker 1: per play, held them to 13 points, stopped 10 of
- 10:29Speaker 1: their 13 third down tries. They'd take more of that week, too.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It's Dowdle over the left side with a gain of
- 10:36Speaker 2: just two.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Atlanta gave up 58 yards to Michael Pittman, a touchdown
- 10:40Speaker 1: 46 yards to Pat Friermuth, Linebacker Divine Diablo allowed a
- 10:44Speaker 1: team-high 60 yards. Their pass rush only buried Rodgers twice,
- 10:48Speaker 1: but Carolina's tackles should be wary of Zedaria Smith, who
- 10:52Speaker 1: got both of them.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Out of retirement, Zedaria Smith.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And Atlanta's front has some confidence coming in after holding
- 11:00Speaker 1: Pittsburgh's rush attack to 2.8 per carry.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Handoff right here is going nowhere.
- 11:05Speaker 1: They had no issues with Rico Dowdle, did let Jalen
- 11:08Speaker 1: Warren go for 4.6 per attempt on his 10 attempts.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Chuba Hubbard could work with that as he scored versus Chicago.
- 11:14Speaker 1: 49 yards, 4.9 per carry, and he also scored through
- 11:19Speaker 1: the air.
- 11:20Speaker 10: Stepping away from multiple defenders, wide open man.
- 11:23Speaker 2: It's a touchdown for Chuba Hubbard.
- 11:26Speaker 1: This is one of several really great Week 2 matchups.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Houston Texans trying to rebound from an emotional opening week
- 11:33Speaker 1: loss that ended in dramatic fashion.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Stroud bobbles the ball, it's free, and it's over.
- 11:41Speaker 1: They are at home again, facing an elite QB again,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and dare I say it, a tough Bengals defense?
- 11:47Speaker 10: Baker Mayfield under pressure, in trouble, down he goes, the
- 11:51Speaker 10: ball's out! Scoop and a score!
- 11:54Speaker 1: Houdet Nation last week was looking down on the field,
- 11:57Speaker 1: at TV sets, at their phones, and all asking the
- 12:00Speaker 1: same thing, is that what I think it is? Are
- 12:03Speaker 1: those orange guys, you know... Playing good defense?
- 12:06Speaker 10: Mayfield under pressure again. A flag is down and so
- 12:09Speaker 10: is Mayfield.
- 12:11Speaker 1: How about four fumble recoveries? Held Tampa Bay to 20 points.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Didn't give up any touchdowns to Baker Mayfield through the air.
- 12:19Speaker 10: Back-to-back fumbles ending drives for Tampa Bay.
- 12:23Speaker 1: The pass rush C.J. Stroud is looking at comes off
- 12:26Speaker 1: a four-sack showing on 28 pass attempts. Boye Moffay, Jonathan Allen,
- 12:32Speaker 1: Chris Jenkins won each. They only blitzed 11% of the time.
- 12:36Speaker 1: They came up with a nice 38% pressure rate.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Pressure comes! Ball is out! Mayfield sacked another fumble! Another recovery!
- 12:45Speaker 1: Now they face off with CJ. Stroud may not have
- 12:48Speaker 1: come through at the end, but he's building off a
- 12:50Speaker 1: good game nonetheless. 270-plus yards, two TDs, no picks, a
- 12:55Speaker 1: plus-100 rating versus Buffalo.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Caught for the touchdown.
- 13:00Speaker 3: You want offense?
- 13:01Speaker 2: You got offense.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Texans would be plenty happy to have their offense top
- 13:06Speaker 1: 30 points again, go four for five in the red zone. Normally,
- 13:10Speaker 1: with their defense, that would lead to a blowout win.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Stroud, wide open, caught by Montgomery.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Touchdown, Texans.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Stroud did take three sacks.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Step it up. Stroud couldn't break away. Stroud loses the ball.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Only two Texans had more than 40 receiving yards versus
- 13:28Speaker 1: the Bills. Nico Collins led the team with 75 and
- 13:38Speaker 1: a score.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Stroud taps the ball, throws! Over the shoulder, grabbed by Collins!
- 13:45Speaker 1: And Jalen Knoll hit for 53.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Stroud, comfortable little pocket, wide open over the middle! Jalen Knoll!
- 13:52Speaker 1: Bengals DBs gave up 63 yards to Emeka Ibuka, 40
- 13:56Speaker 1: yards to Chris Godwin, but none of their DBs gave
- 13:59Speaker 1: up big yards individually. Overall, the secondary Stroud faces off with...
- 14:03Speaker 1: comes in off a mixed showing. 216 yards isn't terrible,
- 14:07Speaker 1: but they let Mayfield complete 23 of 28 passes, 7.7
- 14:11Speaker 1: yards per attempt, a rating close to 100.
- 14:13Speaker 10: Mayfield over the middle, fits it into Godwin with a
- 14:17Speaker 10: stiff arm inside the 40.
- 14:19Speaker 1: When Houston hands off, it's David Montgomery and Woody Marks.
- 14:22Speaker 1: He had the more efficient game last week, popping for
- 14:25Speaker 1: 4-7 a run on his nine attempts.
- 14:28Speaker 6: It's a running play to Marks, and Marks with a
- 14:30Speaker 6: first down run, he got lifted.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Off Montee scored twice, gave him 60 yards.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Up the gut. Montgomery, that second effort is enough.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Just three yards per carry, though. Cincinnati would like to
- 14:43Speaker 1: play the run better this week. Wasn't Stout versus Tampa
- 14:46Speaker 1: Bay's ground game. Gave up 4.5 a carry overall. Gave
- 14:50Speaker 1: up 5.6 to Bucky Irving, who also scored on them.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Handoff is to Irving. Jump cut to the outside. He'll
- 14:57Speaker 2: walk in.
- 14:58Speaker 1: It's rare when it takes this long to get to
- 15:00Speaker 1: Joe Burrow and the Bengals' offense. He hits week two
- 15:03Speaker 1: off a 250-plus yard performance.
- 15:06Speaker 10: Off play action. Burrow floats it for Chase, who pulls
- 15:11Speaker 10: it in.
- 15:11Speaker 1: But it wasn't vintage Joe Shiesty as he threw that
- 15:14Speaker 1: pick six. Bengals only converted two of their five red
- 15:17Speaker 1: zone trips, so they'd like to avoid leaving so many
- 15:20Speaker 1: points on the table. and not contribute to the other
- 15:23Speaker 1: team's scoreboard ledger. Now, 26 points is a solid offensive output,
- 15:32Speaker 1: better start than many of their recent openers, and they
- 15:35Speaker 1: have less to clean up compared to Houston's normally locked-down defense.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Texans giving up 36 points to Buffalo at home, over
- 15:44Speaker 1: 400 yards allowed, at close to 8 yards per play.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Burrow looking at a secondary that just gave up 334
- 15:56Speaker 1: yards to Josh Allen at 11.5 yards per attempt. Two
- 16:00Speaker 1: TDs for a rating allowed over 130. Very undude-like for
- 16:05Speaker 1: that group. 130 yards allowed to Dalton Kincaid. Corner Kamari
- 16:09Speaker 1: Lassiter allowed 95 yards and a TD. 100 yards and
- 16:13Speaker 1: a touchdown allowed to DJ Moore. New safety, Reed Blankenship,
- 16:18Speaker 1: whiffing on that pass to DJ. He gave up 110 yards.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Downfield, and it's handled. Nobody there.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Moore breaks away.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Now it's on to Mike Gasicki, T. Higgins, Jamar Chase.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Chase coming off a week one dud that saw him
- 16:33Speaker 1: check out with just two catches, only 12 yards. He
- 16:37Speaker 1: was only targeted four times. Andre Josivash, only 12 yards too. T. Higgs,
- 16:42Speaker 1: 59 yards.
- 16:43Speaker 10: Floats it out for Higgins. He's got the first down.
- 16:46Speaker 10: Steps through Morrison.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Admittedly, I scanned the comments section and I saw a
- 16:50Speaker 1: debate about the use of Higgs to identify T. Don't
- 16:53Speaker 1: take it so seriously, people. It's just a game. Gesicki
- 16:57Speaker 1: building off a nice week. Scored with 78 yards.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Third and one.
- 17:00Speaker 10: Burrow throws into the end zone. Mike Gesicki with a
- 17:04Speaker 10: Bengals touchdown.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Bengals O-line feeling good heading into Week 2. Burrow was
- 17:09Speaker 1: blitzed 48% of the time. He only faced a 24%
- 17:13Speaker 1: pressure rate, only got sacked once on 35 pass attempts.
- 17:17Speaker 10: Burrow steps away from pressure. Burrow going to tuck and run.
- 17:22Speaker 1: He likely doesn't face as many snaps with 5-plus guys
- 17:25Speaker 1: coming after him this week. That's not Houston's thing. They
- 17:29Speaker 1: rely on their front four more often than not. It
- 17:31Speaker 1: got to Allen twice on his 29 pass attempts. Jadeveon
- 17:34Speaker 1: Clowney with a sack and his return to Houston.
- 17:37Speaker 9: Fake it.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Allen is dumped back at the 34.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Texans versus the run. Couldn't stop Allen from pushing his
- 17:45Speaker 1: way into the end zone twice. That's not easy to do.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Didn't give up big yards to James Cook, but he
- 17:51Speaker 1: hit it 4-4 a carry. just didn't get many handoffs.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Got room to run. He's going to take it. Allen
- 17:56Speaker 2: takes it in for the touchdown.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Now they get Chase Brown, who scored versus Tampa 56 yards.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Handoff. Brown up the middle. In for six.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Cleveland Browns in need of a major rebound as it
- 18:11Speaker 1: hits the road for a second week in a row.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Todd Munkin's head coach debut going about as well as
- 18:17Speaker 1: K-Fed's playing with fire.
- 18:18Speaker 10: He throws to his left, intercepted at the 20-yard line
- 18:22Speaker 10: right out of the gates.
- 18:24Speaker 1: They are in Tampa Bay this week taking on a
- 18:26Speaker 1: Bucs squad that's also looking for its first 2026 win.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Baker hoping he can just squeeze that pigskin a little
- 18:33Speaker 1: tighter this time.
- 18:34Speaker 2: First and five. Mayfield under pressure. Shrugs away.
- 18:38Speaker 10: Mayfield on the run. Look at him get free. Baker
- 18:42Speaker 10: fumbles into the end zone. It's recovered by Cincinnati.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Nobody can question Mayfield's heart. He's a fearless dude who
- 18:50Speaker 1: goes all out on almost every play, but sometimes it
- 18:53Speaker 1: can lead to carelessness. He lost three fumbles week one,
- 18:57Speaker 1: team lost four overall, which is why their offense only
- 19:00Speaker 1: accounted for 20 week one points, while also giving the
- 19:04Speaker 1: Bengals seven.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Baker Mayfield under pressure. In trouble. Down he goes. The
- 19:09Speaker 2: ball's out. Loose ball on the turf and it's scooped up.
- 19:13Speaker 2: A scoop and a score.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So clearly their point of emphasis this week, no listening
- 19:18Speaker 1: to the Red Hot Chili Peppers pregame. Hold on to
- 19:21Speaker 1: the ball better. Don't give it away now. And you
- 19:23Speaker 1: probably put up more points, especially if Cleveland's defense doesn't
- 19:27Speaker 1: make strides man do they have some cleaning up to
- 19:30Speaker 1: do gave up 34 points to Jacksonville.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Here comes the pressure again for Lawrence he's going toward
- 19:35Speaker 2: the end.
- 19:35Speaker 10: Zone caught diving catch Parker Washington.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Secondary Baker looking at gave up four TDs to Trevor
- 19:42Speaker 1: Lawrence over 10 yards per attempt for a 150 rate
- 19:46Speaker 1: no one defender gave up a ton of yards individually,
- 19:50Speaker 1: but both their middle linebackers and all five of their
- 19:52Speaker 1: DBs gave up a 100 plus rating. That's not something
- 19:56Speaker 1: you see happen in a game very often.
- 19:58Speaker 10: Try to run away from it and just to the
- 20:00Speaker 10: line of scrimmage, he throws back in the end zone.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Caught! Touchdown, Jacoby Myers!
- 20:05Speaker 1: They now set their sights on Mayfield, who was fine
- 20:08Speaker 1: when he wasn't dropping the ball. 23 of 28 passing
- 20:11Speaker 1: versus the Bengals. Healthy 7.7 yards per attempt. No TDs
- 20:15Speaker 1: through the air, but no INTs for a high 90s rate.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Mayfield over the middle.
- 20:21Speaker 10: Fits it into Godwin. And Godwin on the run. Chris
- 20:24Speaker 10: Godwin with a stiff arm inside the 40.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Baker would like better pass pro week two, though. He
- 20:29Speaker 1: was dropped four times on 28 pass attempts. He kind
- 20:33Speaker 1: of created two of them. Two blamed on linemen. Left
- 20:36Speaker 1: tackle Tristan Wirfs gave up one along with a 16%
- 20:39Speaker 1: pressure rate. That's uncharacteristically high for him. And left guard
- 20:44Speaker 1: Ben Bredesen gave up a sack into 13% pressure rate.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Pressure swallowed up.
- 20:48Speaker 2: By Jonathan Allen.
- 20:50Speaker 7: Going against Ben Brennison.
- 20:52Speaker 1: They throw bows with a Browns pass rush that's looking
- 20:55Speaker 1: to produce more heat week two. Only dropped Lawrence once
- 20:58Speaker 1: on 23 pass attempts and only pressured him 24% of
- 21:02Speaker 1: the time, which is not a high figure.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Throws toward the middle. Oh, tight window and Thomas.
- 21:08Speaker 1: If they don't hurry Baker, he has more time to
- 21:10Speaker 1: find Emeka Ibuka. He hooked up with him for 63
- 21:13Speaker 1: yards versus Cincinnati.
- 21:14Speaker 8: Mayfield.
- 21:16Speaker 10: Over the middle, big hit, but hanging on to the
- 21:19Speaker 10: catch is Ibuka.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Cade Otten, 26 yards last week. Chris Godwin, 40.
- 21:24Speaker 10: Here's Mayfield to Godwin on the edge, and Godwin showing
- 21:28Speaker 10: a little power.
- 21:29Speaker 1: And Bucky Irving, he was Mayfield's top week one target,
- 21:33Speaker 1: caught seven passes, 48 yards.
- 21:35Speaker 2: To Irving. He's going to get the first down and much,
- 21:37Speaker 2: much more. Bucky Irving.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Maybe Irving gets more handoffs this week if they don't
- 21:42Speaker 1: get down so big early. He scored down low, hit
- 21:45Speaker 1: it five, six a carry, just only had eight attempts.
- 21:48Speaker 8: Watch, the corner goes with him.
- 21:49Speaker 2: The safety gets caught.
- 21:51Speaker 3: There's nothing but green turf out in front of Bucky Irving.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Mayfield punched one in with his legs too, six yards
- 21:57Speaker 1: per attempt on five runs.
- 21:58Speaker 2: On the run, nice little juke at the five, breaks
- 22:01Speaker 2: a tackle, touchdown.
- 22:02Speaker 1: He, of course, faces his old team, and specifically faces
- 22:05Speaker 1: the guy who the Browns chose to replace him with.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Baker's the type of guy who still has that receipt
- 22:11Speaker 1: in his back pocket, I bet. But if Deshaun Watson
- 22:13Speaker 1: doesn't get it going soon, his 2026 stay as starter
- 22:17Speaker 1: could be short-lived. Threw a bad pick early, Cleveland went
- 22:21Speaker 1: 1-for-8 on third down, 0-for-2 in the red zone, and
- 22:24Speaker 1: only mustered 10 points.
- 22:26Speaker 10: Watson pocket collapsing. Hines Allen is there. He spins away.
- 22:30Speaker 10: Watson does almost intercepted.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Watson did throw for a touchdown at least was 16
- 22:35Speaker 1: of 22 over nine yards per attempt is good stuff.
- 22:38Speaker 1: So has some positives he's working off of.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It'll drop back to pass on second down.
- 22:43Speaker 10: Looking deep, looking toward the near side, Casey Concepcion for
- 22:47Speaker 10: a first down.
- 22:48Speaker 1: The D and secondary he takes on comes in off
- 22:51Speaker 1: a mixed bag type outing. Gave up 26 of the
- 22:54Speaker 1: 33 points Cincinnati scored, allowed Joe Burrow to throw for
- 22:58Speaker 1: over 250 yards, let them convert eight of their 14
- 23:01Speaker 1: third downs.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Higgins, he's got the first down, steps through Morrison.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But they also stopped three of Cincinnati's five red zone attempts,
- 23:09Speaker 1: held Jamar Chase to 12 yards, pick six burrow and
- 23:13Speaker 1: held him to a sub 90 rate rookie josiah trotter
- 23:16Speaker 1: had himself a debut man.
- 23:19Speaker 10: It's josiah trotter and it's a walk-in pick six for.
- 23:23Speaker 1: The rookie trotter also with his first nfl sack.
- 23:27Speaker 2: But they need more.
- 23:28Speaker 10: That was Tampa's only sack, and they blitzed Burrow a
- 23:31Speaker 10: fat 48% of the time, only pressured him 24% of
- 23:33Speaker 10: the time.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Now they square off with a Cleveland O-line that saw
- 23:45Speaker 1: Watson get sacked five times on just 22 pass attempts.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Right tackle Titus Howard gave up one according to NextGenStats,
- 23:53Speaker 1: a super high 20% pressure rate allowed though. Right guard
- 23:57Speaker 1: Austin Barber allowed a 17% pressure rate, as did rookie
- 24:02Speaker 1: left tackle Spencer Fano, who also got tagged with giving
- 24:05Speaker 1: up a sack and a half.
- 24:07Speaker 11: Hines Allen relentless to the quarterback, able to win that
- 24:10Speaker 11: one-on-one matchup with Spencer Fano again.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Bucs defenders gave up 78 yards and a TD to
- 24:15Speaker 1: tight end Mike Gesicki, 59 yards to Tee Higgins. Up next,
- 24:20Speaker 1: rookie Denzel Boston, who hauled in Watson's lone TD, 59
- 24:24Speaker 1: yards in his NFL debut.
- 24:25Speaker 2: For Boston, and he's got it! Wow! Touchdown, Brown!
- 24:30Speaker 1: Fellow rookie Casey Concepcion kicked off his NFL career with
- 24:33Speaker 1: 43 yards.
- 24:34Speaker 10: Looking deep, looking toward the near side. Casey Concepcion for
- 24:38Speaker 10: a first down.
- 24:39Speaker 1: He did lose a fumble too, unfortunately. Tight end Harold Fannin,
- 24:43Speaker 1: only 21 yards. And Quinshawn Judkins also hoping week two
- 24:47Speaker 1: goes better. Only 12 carries due to the lopsided nature
- 24:50Speaker 1: of the game. Just 2.8 per carry, only 33 yards.
- 24:55Speaker 10: They hand it off again to Judkins, trying to make
- 24:56Speaker 10: a mad miss. And the defense was there.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Buck's defense he gets isn't easy to get right again.
- 25:02Speaker 1: based on how they did week one. They held Chase
- 25:04Speaker 1: Brown to 3-5 per, held the Bengals overall under four
- 25:08Speaker 1: a run.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Bain, trying to track him down. Really nice play by Bain.
- 25:12Speaker 10: Forced him outside where Zion McCollum could finish it off.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Oh, baby, how great does this Week 2 game look?
- 25:20Speaker 1: Minnesota Vikings, fresh off a 39-point beatdown of the Packers.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Forget Kyler and JJ. Carson Wentz may be the droid
- 25:28Speaker 1: they've been looking for.
- 25:29Speaker 2: This place is buzzing.
- 25:31Speaker 9: My goodness, you could not have a bigger turnaround.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Bears offense is like, aw, 39 points? That's cute. Hold
- 25:38Speaker 1: my beer. We just chowed down on a Bob Belcher
- 25:41Speaker 1: 50-burger with extra patties, and now they're going back to
- 25:45Speaker 1: Chicago and feeling it.
- 25:48Speaker 2: There goes Caleb Williams to the end zone!
- 25:51Speaker 10: His second rushing touchdown of the day, and Chicago takes
- 25:54Speaker 10: the lead!
- 25:55Speaker 1: No fourth quarter comebacks needed this time, exactly what Bill
- 25:59Speaker 1: Swirsky superfans needed. Give those guys hearts a break, right?
- 26:03Speaker 1: 59 points, over 550 yards of offense, 10 of 14
- 26:08Speaker 1: on third down, perfect four for four in the red zone.
- 26:12Speaker 1: You cannot start a year off much better than that.
- 26:15Speaker 10: Williams maneuvering, wide open man, touchdown Chicago.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Caleb Williams has your Madden curse right here, buddy. Ran
- 26:23Speaker 1: for 65 yards, scoring twice on the ground.
- 26:27Speaker 2: And he's going to take off with eyes for the
- 26:28Speaker 2: end zone. Touchdown, Caleb Williams.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Winning countless fantasy games for his owners, throwing for 269 yards,
- 26:36Speaker 1: two TDs, a rate over 120.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Throws into double coverage.
- 26:40Speaker 10: It is Cole Komet holding on for the touchdown.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Now he gets what's expected to be a much tougher defense.
- 26:48Speaker 1: They held Green Bay to 22 points, took the ball
- 26:50Speaker 1: away twice.
- 26:51Speaker 12: They have zero answers for this defense, and even when
- 26:54Speaker 12: they do, they don't.
- 26:56Speaker 1: But they did give up over 400 yards of offense.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Caleb looking at a secondary that allowed Jordan Love to
- 27:02Speaker 1: pile up 387 yards and two TDs.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Down the sidelines, he goes, and Watson is not going
- 27:10Speaker 3: to be caught.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Cornerback Byron Murphy gave up 90 yards, and you will
- 27:14Speaker 1: rarely see this. Safety Josh Metellus has the Waldo designation,
- 27:19Speaker 1: and how? NextGenStats tagged him for 212 yards allowed and
- 27:23Speaker 1: a touchdown? 212 yards allowed in one game? I've been
- 27:29Speaker 1: doing this for a while. I've never seen that before.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Just go up behind while the rest of the flood
- 27:35Speaker 2: comes this way. He sneaks in. Nobody accounts for him.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Scholes defense, 147 yards allowed to Christian Watson, 95 to
- 27:43Speaker 1: Matthew Golden, 65 to Tucker Craft, 50 to Johnnie Smith.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Caleb hit tight end Cole Komet with that dot for
- 27:50Speaker 1: a 22-yard TD. Colston Loveland, zero catches though. Kalief Raymond
- 27:55Speaker 1: led the team with eight catches, 84 yards.
- 27:58Speaker 10: Williams, the jump in, air Jordan, throw downfield for Raymond.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Luther Burden, 63 yards, five catches.
- 28:05Speaker 10: What a snatch that was by Luther Burden III for
- 28:08Speaker 10: another first down.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And Roma Dunze chipped in with 52 yards.
- 28:13Speaker 10: Looking for the home run ball downfield, and Roma Dunze
- 28:17Speaker 10: over the rookie.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Williams, just as hard to track down as last year,
- 28:21Speaker 1: only took two sacks on 29 pass attempts. thought blitzing
- 28:25Speaker 1: him would work, 51.3% of the time, he obviously handled
- 28:30Speaker 1: it with relative ease.
- 28:31Speaker 10: Williams pumping, rolling, he's dangerous out here, and he uses
- 28:35Speaker 10: his legs.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Well, he's going to have to deal with 5-plus coming
- 28:39Speaker 1: after him again this week. Brian Flores ballroom blitzed Love
- 28:43Speaker 1: a crazy high 78.3% of the time, pressured him a
- 28:46Speaker 1: fat 50% of the time, dropped him four times. How
- 28:47Speaker 1: about 15 QB hits?
- 28:53Speaker 9: Cashman entirely unblocked in the B-gap.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Not a single soul on him.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Minnesota played Green Bay's run game well, too. Held him
- 29:02Speaker 1: to 66 yards on 3-1 a carry.
- 29:05Speaker 3: And he is caught for a loss. Read that one,
- 29:08Speaker 3: dropped him for a loss of two.
- 29:10Speaker 1: They will face a much tougher ground game in this one, though.
- 29:13Speaker 1: DeAndre Swift, three scores, 124 yards on 6-9 a rip.
- 29:19Speaker 10: Andre Swift bounces off multiple tacklers, spins his way to
- 29:22Speaker 10: the other side of the field.
- 29:23Speaker 1: And Kyle Munungi with a C-note on 10 a pop,
- 29:27Speaker 1: plus a trip to the zone.
- 29:29Speaker 10: Now Kyle Munungi breaks free!
- 29:31Speaker 2: 61 yards to the house!
- 29:34Speaker 1: All that is fine, but plenty of reason to think
- 29:37Speaker 1: this could be another track meet. Carson Wentz came in
- 29:40Speaker 1: off the bench and left fans in purple dreaming of
- 29:42Speaker 1: another Sam Darnold-type career comeback. Three touchdowns, no picks, a
- 29:48Speaker 1: 119 rate.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Wentz, end zone, caught, touchdown. Big play for Carson Wentz
- 29:54Speaker 2: in this offense.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Found Jeddas twice in the end zone. Justin Jefferson, eight catches,
- 29:59Speaker 1: 92 yards.
- 30:01Speaker 3: To the end zone, and it is caught.
- 30:04Speaker 2: You want your shot, you got it for a touchdown.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Shout out to at Greg air 13 and at nuisance news.
- 30:10Speaker 1: You were right. I am a clown. It wasn't the
- 30:13Speaker 1: Dougie or the floss, but what's this gritty you speak of?
- 30:16Speaker 1: I looked it up and I think it's actually called
- 30:18Speaker 1: the electric slide.
- 30:19Speaker 2: It's your gritty Jim. You asked him about it yesterday.
- 30:22Speaker 1: He did it twice last week. and could do it
- 30:24Speaker 1: again this week, Wentz taking on a Chicago secondary that
- 30:28Speaker 1: gave up 361 yards to Bryce Young on close to
- 30:31Speaker 1: 10 yards per attempt, a 110-plus rate.
- 30:34Speaker 10: Young trying to find one of them. He wants to
- 30:36Speaker 10: take a deep shot.
- 30:37Speaker 2: In the bucket! Again!
- 30:39Speaker 1: J.J. gets a secondary that gave up 138 yards and
- 30:43Speaker 1: two TDs to Jalen Coker, 75 yards to Tedaroa McMillan,
- 30:47Speaker 1: cornered Jalen Johnson giving up 127 yards, Cornerback Tyreek Stevenson,
- 30:52Speaker 1: 77 yards and two of the TDs, which played a
- 30:56Speaker 1: part in the Bears allowing 37 points to Carolina. Didn't
- 31:00Speaker 1: stop any of their four red zone attempts. Gave up
- 31:02Speaker 1: over 470 yards of offense.
- 31:05Speaker 10: Stepping away from multiple defenders. Wide open man.
- 31:08Speaker 2: It's a touchdown.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Vikings 0. Wasn't as explosive versus Green Bay, but plenty efficient.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Four for four in the red zone. Eight for 15
- 31:16Speaker 1: on third down for a hefty 39 points.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Third and six. And that's another conversion.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Okay, along the ground, both their backs are looking for
- 31:26Speaker 1: improved efficiency. Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones both finished under
- 31:29Speaker 1: 4 yards per carry, but each guy scored. Mason led
- 31:33Speaker 1: them with 59 yards.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Mason, the ball carrier, his wits fell down, and he
- 31:37Speaker 3: reaches out.
- 31:38Speaker 1: They could find more room to roam versus Chicago. They
- 31:41Speaker 1: gave up over 5 a carry to Carolina runners, 4-9
- 31:45Speaker 1: per attempt to Chuba Hubbard, and 5-6 to A.J.
- 31:48Speaker 10: Dillon. And here comes Chuba Hubbard, big hole off the
- 31:50Speaker 10: left side, and he steps out of bounds.
- 31:55Speaker 1: New Orleans stays on the road for a second week
- 31:57Speaker 1: in a row to start the season, still looking for
- 32:00Speaker 1: win number one on the year after coming up oh
- 32:03Speaker 1: so close last week.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Incomplete! The Lions win it!
- 32:07Speaker 1: Now they face off with another high-powered offense, Baltimore Ravens,
- 32:11Speaker 1: looking very much like the Baltimore Ravens many people expect
- 32:15Speaker 1: them to be.
- 32:16Speaker 3: All Baltimore in this one.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Lamar plus the King plus Flowers, that's the Beastie Boys-level
- 32:23Speaker 1: trio the Saints could have on their hands this week,
- 32:26Speaker 1: and their D just struggled with a three-headed monster. Have
- 32:29Speaker 1: to see if Zay can play this week, more on
- 32:31Speaker 1: that in a moment, but the Saints will for sure
- 32:34Speaker 1: have to deal with Jackson, and he looked like the
- 32:36Speaker 1: MVP version of himself in Week 1, 324 yards through
- 32:41Speaker 1: the air. Sorry, Miss Jackson, his arm is for real.
- 32:44Speaker 1: batting 13 yards per attempt, a touchdown, no picks, for
- 32:48Speaker 1: a 120-plus rate.
- 32:50Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Lamar Jackson experience.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Plus, he scored with his legs, adding 40 rush yards,
- 32:56Speaker 1: vintage Lamar.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Jackson takes it in.
- 33:00Speaker 7: Nobody has Lamar Jackson.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Then, when he hands off, the Saints have Derrick Henry
- 33:06Speaker 1: to try and stop, who rumbles in off.
- 33:08Speaker 2: A 3-TD, 144-yard, 6-per-carry showing. Derrick Henry takes it in.
- 33:16Speaker 1: The Saints' one reprieve might be Flowers might not play.
- 33:20Speaker 1: He left the game with a hamstring injury after dropping
- 33:23Speaker 1: 150 yards on Indy's secondary.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Flowers turns it into another gear! Zay is gone!
- 33:31Speaker 1: In all, Norland's defense dealing with a Baltimore O that
- 33:34Speaker 1: started the year off with 41 points, over 500 yards
- 33:38Speaker 1: of offense, a perfect 5-for-5 in the red zone.
- 33:42Speaker 2: What a performance by that Baltimore offense.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Nola's defense had some good stretches versus Detroit, especially in
- 33:49Speaker 1: the second half. They had to overcome three turnovers by
- 33:52Speaker 1: their own offense. They gave up 31 points over five quarters, basically.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Let Detroit convert four of its five red zone trips.
- 33:59Speaker 5: Gibbs walks it in for a Lions touchdown.
- 34:02Speaker 1: The biggest red flag might be their rush defense. Henry
- 34:05Speaker 1: looking at a group that let Jameer Gibbs go for
- 34:07Speaker 1: 156 yards on 5-4 a carry, two scores. Gibbs picks
- 34:09Speaker 1: up 21. Lamar gets a secondary that does come in
- 34:16Speaker 1: with some confidence. Despite its pass rush only sacking Goff
- 34:20Speaker 1: once on 39 pass attempts, they held him to 206
- 34:23Speaker 1: yards in just 5.3 per attempt.
- 34:25Speaker 9: Goff hit as he got rid of it.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Did give up two touchdowns to him and didn't pick
- 34:30Speaker 1: him off. Both TDs allowed to Detroit's WR1, Amon Ross St. Brown. Yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 1: I say WR1 because it's short for wide receiver one,
- 34:39Speaker 1: just like RB1 is short for running back one. Weird
- 34:43Speaker 1: some people get riled up about that. Saints cornerback Quincy
- 34:46Speaker 1: Riley tagged with the two TDs allowed to St.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Brown.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Look at the push-off, right? Quincy Riley had no chance.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Saints defense also gave up 45 yards to Jamison Williams,
- 34:56Speaker 1: 48 yards to Sam Laporta. Tight end they get this week,
- 35:00Speaker 1: Mark Andrews, 49 yards versus Indy.
- 35:03Speaker 2: He's got Andrews open for a first down.
- 35:06Speaker 1: If New Orleans DBs don't have to worry about flowers,
- 35:09Speaker 1: then who? Rashad Bateman had no catches, one target. Chris Moore,
- 35:13Speaker 1: who caught one pass for 53 yards. Colts thought the
- 35:21Speaker 1: blitz might disrupt Lamar. They sent five-plus 41% of the time,
- 35:27Speaker 1: did sack him twice on 25 pass attempts, and one
- 35:30Speaker 1: led to a fumble.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Ball out. Colts pick it up. DeForest Buckner.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Saints didn't blitz golf much, didn't really pressure him much either, though.
- 35:39Speaker 1: But hey, Norlin's offense just showed it might be able
- 35:42Speaker 1: to keep up in a track meet. Tyler Shuck went
- 35:45Speaker 1: for 410 yards versus Detroit, throwing three touchdowns, including the
- 35:49Speaker 1: OT score that pulled them within a point. He caught
- 35:52Speaker 1: fire in the second half of that game and is
- 35:55Speaker 1: looking to keep the good times rolling. He did throw
- 35:59Speaker 1: two INTs, lost a fumble, so we'll look to be
- 36:02Speaker 1: more careful with the ball. And New Orleans would like
- 36:05Speaker 1: to see better pass pro from its line this week.
- 36:07Speaker 1: They gave up five sacks, but the caveat that he
- 36:10Speaker 1: did throw 56 times, but they gave up a 40%
- 36:13Speaker 1: pressure rate, that's high times material. Eric McCoy, David Edwards,
- 36:18Speaker 1: Kelvin Banks all got tagged for one sack allowed by NGS.
- 36:22Speaker 1: and Talisi Fuaga gave up a hefty 14% pressure rate
- 36:26Speaker 1: and a whopping nine pressures.
- 36:28Speaker 5: Pressure on Shuck. Ball comes loose. Lions say they have it.
- 36:32Speaker 9: They do.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Shuck is looking at a Ravens pass rush that just
- 36:35Speaker 1: pressured Daniel Jones a hefty, hefty, hefty 50.9% of the time,
- 36:40Speaker 1: caught up with him twice, hit him nine times. Nine times?
- 36:44Speaker 1: Nine times.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Takes a big hit, incomplete.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Jones to the turf.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Shuck staring at a secondary that held Jones to 166 yards,
- 36:54Speaker 1: just five yards per attempt, picked him off for a
- 36:56Speaker 1: sub-70 rate. Roquan with the INT.
- 37:00Speaker 13: Roquan Smith, what a play by the veteran linebacker.
- 37:04Speaker 1: The only Indy pass catcher to go for more than
- 37:06Speaker 1: 37 yards versus Baltimore's DBs, Alec Pierce with 61 yards.
- 37:11Speaker 1: A guy they're going to focus their attention on this week,
- 37:14Speaker 1: Chris Olave, who dropped a buck 82 on Detroit's secondary.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Ten catches on 13 targets. What a start to his season.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Fires downfield, and Olave makes the adjustment and the catch.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Shuck has Devon Vele, too. Dude with some great diving catches.
- 37:30Speaker 1: One for a TD, seven catches, 69 yards.
- 37:34Speaker 5: Diving catch for a touchdown made by Vele.
- 37:37Speaker 1: And both New Orleans tight ends, eight. Jawan Johnson scored
- 37:40Speaker 1: 54 yards.
- 37:42Speaker 5: Jawan Johnson on his 30th birthday, hauls it in.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Noah Fant found the paint to 48 yards. Those dudes
- 37:52Speaker 1: powered the Saints to 30 points, converting four of their
- 37:55Speaker 1: five red zone attempts.
- 37:56Speaker 5: How about Tyler Suck leading the comeback?
- 37:58Speaker 3: He's over 400 yards, three touchdown passes.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Saints O stacked against a Baltimore D that gave up
- 38:04Speaker 1: 23 points, but held Indianapolis to a meager 4.7 yards
- 38:08Speaker 1: per play and only 3 for 11 on third down.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Big play here on third and seven. Broken up.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Their one blind spot week one, stopping the run. It
- 38:18Speaker 1: was JT, of course, who is hard to stop, but
- 38:20Speaker 1: they gave up two TDs to him. 98 yards, 5-2
- 38:24Speaker 1: a carry.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Jonathan Taylor, a 21-yard run.
- 38:28Speaker 1: They'll try and shore things up against Travis Achan. Only
- 38:31Speaker 1: nine carries, but went for over five a pop.
- 38:33Speaker 2: A gain of 18 for Travis Achan.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Kendra Miller scored down low, only 30 yards, 3.3 per.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Touchdown, Kendra Miller!
- 38:45Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans at home this week in search of win
- 38:47Speaker 1: number one in 2026. Hopefully the color green isn't some
- 38:51Speaker 1: kind of kryptonite to them.
- 38:53Speaker 14: Sadiq bangs it in for the Jets' touchdown!
- 38:57Speaker 1: They welcome in the Philadelphia Eagles, who face what some
- 39:00Speaker 1: might call a trap game. Don't you go looking ahead
- 39:03Speaker 1: to those 59-point Bears now. still have to keep your
- 39:07Speaker 1: focus on the 10-point Titans. Week two games are all
- 39:14Speaker 1: about either correcting things or building on what you did right.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts' play week one puts him in the latter category.
- 39:21Speaker 1: He wants to do what the car is saying about
- 39:23Speaker 1: in this one and let the good times roll. Not
- 39:26Speaker 1: many yards versus Washington as a passer, but three TD
- 39:30Speaker 1: no picks over eight yards per attempt for a 120
- 39:33Speaker 1: plus rate game.
- 39:34Speaker 13: Hurts loading up going into got her he is in
- 39:39Speaker 13: touchdown philadelphia.
- 39:41Speaker 1: He ran for 46 yards, too, at 6.6 per jaunt.
- 39:45Speaker 13: Man, Washington, a lot of pressure. Hurts somehow gets out
- 39:48Speaker 13: of it. Magical move. Hurts, what a run and a move.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Eagles went for a respectable 24 points when the day
- 39:54Speaker 1: was over. For many who bleed green, it was the
- 39:57Speaker 1: exact kind of A.J. Brown-less start they hoped Hurts would
- 40:00Speaker 1: have under his new O.C.
- 40:02Speaker 13: Coming near him, throw it, end zone, it is caught! Touchdown,
- 40:06Speaker 13: Dontavion Wicks!
- 40:08Speaker 1: Now Jalen gets a Tennessee secondary that gave up a
- 40:10Speaker 1: 100-plus rate game to Geno Smith, allowed nine yards per attempt.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Smith over the middle, completes Wilson.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Titans hoping for more from its pass rush this week.
- 40:21Speaker 1: didn't come up with a single sack on 24 Geno
- 40:24Speaker 1: pass attempts.
- 40:25Speaker 14: Tennessee rushes for it. Geno somehow escapes.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Pump fake. He's going to run for it.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Pass pro is an area Philadelphia would like to shore
- 40:33Speaker 1: up a little. Hurts took three sacks versus Washington. Jordan
- 40:36Speaker 1: Mailata was tagged with one. Left guard Landon Dickerson with one,
- 40:41Speaker 1: while allowing a hefty 15% pressure rate, according to NextGenStats.
- 40:46Speaker 1: He was playing Hurts. went on ir in the aftermath.
- 40:50Speaker 12: Yeah that's why they draft you in the first round
- 40:52Speaker 12: right there.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Secondary hertz will try and dissect gave up 79 yards
- 40:56Speaker 1: to garrett wilson 60 to adenai mitchell safety amani hooker
- 41:00Speaker 1: giving up a team high 72 yards according to ngs
- 41:04Speaker 1: hertz leaned on three pass catchers week one Tight end
- 41:07Speaker 1: Dallas Goddard with two of his three TDs, a team
- 41:10Speaker 1: high 77 yards.
- 41:12Speaker 12: I'm not sure why you lose track of him. He's
- 41:14Speaker 12: the one guy Jalen has so much comfort in throwing to.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Newcomer Dontavian Wicks with a nice bird gang debut, 73
- 41:21Speaker 1: yards and a score.
- 41:22Speaker 12: Wicks is twitchy enough at the top to break free.
- 41:25Speaker 8: Great completion.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Devontae Smith saw the most targets 53 yards. With all
- 41:36Speaker 1: that said, the Tennessee defense Philadelphia is lining up against
- 41:40Speaker 1: isn't coming in totally rattled. They held New York to
- 41:43Speaker 1: 23 points, allowed two red zone trips. It could have
- 41:47Speaker 1: been worse, basically.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Allen out of the backfield, knocked loose.
- 41:51Speaker 1: The battle versus Saquon. Titans gave up 102 yards on
- 41:54Speaker 1: 4-6 a carry and a score to Brees Hall, allowed
- 41:58Speaker 1: 152 rush yards overall.
- 42:00Speaker 14: Kandoff here, it is Hall, gonna waltz in.
- 42:04Speaker 1: They did face 39 rush attempts though, due to the
- 42:07Speaker 1: game unfolding how it did. They held New York under
- 42:10Speaker 1: 4 a carry when it was all said and done.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Barkley ripped off a 42-yarder to boost his yard per
- 42:16Speaker 1: carry figure to 5'5.
- 42:17Speaker 12: First big run for Barkley might be a home run.
- 42:21Speaker 13: Barkley cuts back inside the 15.
- 42:25Speaker 1: He did grind on most of the other carries, though,
- 42:27Speaker 1: 41 yards on the other 14 attempts.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Barkley, it is not there.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Speaking of grinding, Cam Ward also hoping to do less
- 42:35Speaker 1: of that this week. only managed 140 passing yards versus
- 42:39Speaker 1: New York, a measly 4.4 yards per attempt.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Ward's going to take a shot. Looking for Pollard.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Tennessee's offense has all kinds of things to try and
- 42:48Speaker 1: figure out this week. Brian Dables, oh, only put up
- 42:51Speaker 1: 10 points on New York. Four yards per play is brutal,
- 42:55Speaker 1: as is scraping together 195 yards of total offense.
- 43:00Speaker 2: With a quarterback in his second year, it's not going
- 43:02Speaker 2: to be easy.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Getting right versus Philadelphia won't be easy either. Held Washington
- 43:07Speaker 1: to 22 points, just 4.4 yards per play. Six for
- 43:12Speaker 1: 15 on third down.
- 43:13Speaker 13: Daniels over the middle. Tipped and incompleted. Zach Bond again.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Ward getting a secondary that held Jaden Daniels to 164 yards,
- 43:22Speaker 1: less than five yards per attempt.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Pressure in his face. Thrown. Nearly intercepted that time.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Eagles would like to toughen up in the red zone,
- 43:30Speaker 1: let Washington convert on all three of their red zone trips,
- 43:34Speaker 1: and they would prefer to finish off Ward more than
- 43:36Speaker 1: they did Daniels. Only bagged him once on 34 pass attempts.
- 43:40Speaker 2: However.
- 43:41Speaker 1: pressured him 50% of the time so their pass rush
- 43:44Speaker 1: didn't lack heat.
- 43:46Speaker 12: And as a quarterback, you're feeling that pressure all day.
- 43:48Speaker 12: That's speeding up your internal clock.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Eagles secondary, Cooper Dejean in the rebound line a little bit.
- 43:54Speaker 1: He gave up 83 yards and a TD. Philadelphia giving
- 43:57Speaker 1: up a touchdown and 64 yards to rookie Antonio Williams,
- 44:01Speaker 1: a touchdown and 55 yards to Stephon Diggs. Not one
- 44:05Speaker 1: Titan pass catcher comes in off a 40-yard game, though.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Wondell Robinson, rookie Carnell Tate, finished Week 1 with 38
- 44:12Speaker 1: yards each.
- 44:13Speaker 14: A little bit too far out in front with that pass,
- 44:16Speaker 14: intended for the rookie Tate.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Maybe Tennessee should run more. Only 14 rush attempts, Tony
- 44:22Speaker 1: Pollard only getting seven handoffs. He at least hit at
- 44:25Speaker 1: five per.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Here's a run around the edge by Pollard.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Philadelphia didn't have trouble with the running back spot, though.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Held Ja'Cory Kroski merit to 3-9 a carry, Rashad White
- 44:36Speaker 1: to 3-1.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Here's Rashad White. He's got it and doesn't go anywhere.
- 44:40Speaker 1: They did give up a few big runs to Daniels.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Patriots at home this week. Just glad their week two
- 44:48Speaker 1: opponent isn't a mythical seabird, right? Hoping playing Lumen works
- 44:52Speaker 1: like it did for Adam Scott and the pretty clutch guy.
- 44:55Speaker 1: And they don't even remember what happened last week.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Here is May. Quick look was close. Throwing it up
- 45:01Speaker 2: in the end zone. Did he get the feet down?
- 45:03Speaker 14: Yes!
- 45:04Speaker 2: A pick! A terrible decision!
- 45:07Speaker 1: Technically, no orthonologist would ever call them Seahawks. It's apparently
- 45:12Speaker 1: insulting to Osprey. Steelers fly west to New England this week.
- 45:16Speaker 2: I kid.
- 45:16Speaker 1: All of a sudden, I'm supposed to be a geography major?
- 45:19Speaker 2: Sheesh.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Pittsburgh scratching out a dub in their opener as Mike
- 45:22Speaker 1: McCarthy wins his black and gold head coaching debut.
- 45:26Speaker 15: Steelers have lots to clean up week over week and
- 45:38Speaker 15: facing Drake May this week rather than Cooper Rush presents
- 45:42Speaker 15: a much tougher challenge.
- 45:43Speaker 1: But as usual, how New England handles TJ Watt is
- 45:47Speaker 1: key to how it will all go down. He was
- 45:49Speaker 1: integral to Pittsburgh holding Atlanta to 13 points, two for
- 45:52Speaker 1: 12 on third down. He had to pick six, plus
- 45:56Speaker 1: came up with two sacks. So watch for him and
- 46:06Speaker 1: New England right tackle Morgan Moses doing battle, Alex Highsmith
- 46:10Speaker 1: doing battle with left tackle Will Campbell, Highsmith also with
- 46:13Speaker 1: a two-bag week one.
- 46:16Speaker 2: He's in trouble, and he's drilled, and it's Alex Highsmith.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Neither Campbell or Moses allowed a sack in their loss
- 46:22Speaker 1: to the Seahawks. Pat's O-line didn't give up any versus Seattle.
- 46:26Speaker 1: May did take three, but NGS didn't pin any of
- 46:30Speaker 1: them on their linemen. Still, right guard Michael Owenu allowed
- 46:34Speaker 1: six pressures, a 14.3 pressure rate. Center Jared Wilson allowed
- 46:38Speaker 1: five pressures, an 11.9% pressure rate, so both looking for
- 46:43Speaker 1: better Week 2 performances. So Pat's hoping to improve up
- 46:52Speaker 1: front regardless. It played a role in May's struggles, but
- 46:55Speaker 1: he admittedly played a role in them too. That's back-to-back
- 46:59Speaker 1: outings May's looked like Drake going at it with Mr. Duckworth.
- 47:03Speaker 1: That game-stealing INT won a three he threw versus Seattle.
- 47:07Speaker 11: May play action, protected, shot downfield towards Romeo. Dobbs goes up,
- 47:12Speaker 11: it's deflected, and Pritchett comes up with the interception.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Being the only team to pick him off twice last
- 47:17Speaker 1: year in a game was Seattle, expectation is he should
- 47:21Speaker 1: bounce back. And with him, the offense, barely four yards
- 47:24Speaker 1: per play and a measly 10 week one points.
- 47:28Speaker 2: May fires in the middle, intercepted. Julian Love's got it.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Now he gets a secondary that warmed up with some rush.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Think they had Tom Sawyer in their earbuds pregame? Held
- 47:38Speaker 1: him to 143 yards, picked him off twice.
- 47:41Speaker 10: On the move, steps up, throws high, and it's picked
- 47:45Speaker 10: off by Jaquan Brisker.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Pittsburgh won't have to worry about A.J.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Brown.
- 47:50Speaker 1: He's not playing. Romeo Dobbs, zero catches, three targets last week,
- 47:55Speaker 1: one huge drop.
- 47:56Speaker 7: Little lollipop, and he just could not bring it in.
- 47:59Speaker 2: That's unbelievable.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Hunter Henry, only 26 yards. Demario Douglas, 20. Only two
- 48:06Speaker 1: guys topped 40 receiving yards. Mack Hollins, he led the
- 48:09Speaker 1: way with 51.
- 48:10Speaker 11: Deep drop, May, pocket clean, throwing middle, caught.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Ramondre Stevenson caught five passes, 44 yards.
- 48:19Speaker 2: He's got it with a lot of space.
- 48:21Speaker 11: Ramondre Stevenson picks it up, first down.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Stevenson, though, held to 51 yards on 2A to carry
- 48:28Speaker 1: versus Seattle down low.
- 48:30Speaker 16: He's going to blow up the tight end coming across
- 48:32Speaker 16: and still able to make the tackle in the backfield.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 48:35Speaker 1: They had to go without Travion Henderson, track his injury
- 48:39Speaker 1: status this week to see if he returns. Steelers do
- 48:41Speaker 1: have to keep an eye on May bolting, of course.
- 48:44Speaker 1: He escaped many of those pressures versus Seattle by taking off,
- 48:47Speaker 1: ran for 47 yards, hefty 6.7 per carry.
- 48:51Speaker 16: Drake May out and run the football. And he has
- 48:53Speaker 16: a way of just breaking down defenses.
- 48:55Speaker 1: They get a Pittsburgh D that held its own versus
- 48:58Speaker 1: Bijon as a runner, at least. 21 carries held him
- 49:01Speaker 1: to four per. That's a win versus Robinson. They ended
- 49:04Speaker 1: the game holding Atlanta to under four per attempt.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Robinson had it knocked free. It was Jamel Dean, the
- 49:11Speaker 2: corner untouched.
- 49:13Speaker 1: They did give up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown
- 49:16Speaker 1: to Robinson. He was the only guy who really gave
- 49:18Speaker 1: them trouble overall. Their own offense gave them some too.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Lots of room for improvement after only accounting for 13 points,
- 49:26Speaker 1: just 4.1 yards per play and three for 13 on
- 49:30Speaker 1: third down.
- 49:33Speaker 10: One-on-one Metcalf he goes up to get it but he's
- 49:37Speaker 10: out of bounds.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Ho-hum day for A-Rod 221 yards a TD didn't throw
- 49:42Speaker 1: any picks at least.
- 49:43Speaker 10: Lane Rogers throwing touchdown in the back of the end
- 49:48Speaker 10: zone Pat Fryer move.
- 49:50Speaker 1: But like their offense, his production lacked pop, only 5.5
- 49:54Speaker 1: yards per attempt. Now he goes up against a New
- 49:57Speaker 1: England defense that comes in with some flex to it.
- 49:59Speaker 1: 13 points, two for 11 on third down, stopped Seattle
- 50:03Speaker 1: in the red zone both times they made it. That's
- 50:06Speaker 1: supposed to be enough to win a game.
- 50:08Speaker 11: Back pedals, puts it up top, incomplete for Smith and Jigbaugh.
- 50:13Speaker 1: They knocked Sam Darnold out of the game on the
- 50:16Speaker 1: first drive, then got Drew Locke. They gave up a
- 50:19Speaker 1: 110-plus rating to him over 8.5 yards per attempt, primarily
- 50:23Speaker 1: because they struggled to stop JSN, who they gave up
- 50:27Speaker 1: a touchdown to, along with eight catches, 122 yards. Safety
- 50:31Speaker 1: Craig Woodson got tagged with allowing the touchdown, allowing a
- 50:35Speaker 1: team-high 66 yards.
- 50:37Speaker 7: Try and come down and get him, Craig Woodson.
- 50:39Speaker 16: And when JSN is in space, but get about it.
- 50:43Speaker 1: From JSN to DK and Michael Pittman, he led the
- 50:47Speaker 1: team with 58 yards in his Pittsburgh debut.
- 50:50Speaker 10: Rodgers scans, lets it fly, and finds Michael Pittman.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Metcalf forecatches 40 yards.
- 50:57Speaker 17: The only two people that are playing pass there are
- 50:59Speaker 17: Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf.
- 51:01Speaker 1: And Rodgers will lean on his tight end combo meal.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Darnell Mount Washington, 18 yards. Pat Friermuth, their lone score
- 51:09Speaker 1: and 46 yards.
- 51:10Speaker 2: This ball in the middle of the field. Oh, he
- 51:12Speaker 2: threaded it through to Friermuth. There you go. That close
- 51:15Speaker 2: to Diablo picking it.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Rodgers took sacks on 41 pass attempts. They can live
- 51:20Speaker 1: with that ratio. But left guard Mason McCormick gave up
- 51:23Speaker 1: a 14.6 pressure rate. That's high. and a team high
- 51:27Speaker 1: six pressures, right tackle Dylan Cook blamed for both sacks
- 51:31Speaker 1: allowed by NGS.
- 51:32Speaker 10: He's going to get sacked. And the Falcons defense keeping
- 51:36Speaker 10: him in this ballgame.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Patriots pass rush, got sacks from Draymond Jones and Gabe Ackes,
- 51:43Speaker 1: who made a couple of big plays.
- 51:45Speaker 16: Going to be those edge players, and yet so far
- 51:47Speaker 16: we've seen them be the ones that are coming up
- 51:49Speaker 16: with the sacks.
- 51:50Speaker 1: They did blitz lock a lot. 44% of the time,
- 51:54Speaker 1: it'll be interesting to see if they go after Rodgers
- 51:56Speaker 1: at that same rate. Along the ground, held Seattle under
- 51:59Speaker 1: 100 yards, but gave up 4.4 per carry, primarily struggling
- 52:04Speaker 1: to contain rookie Jadarian Price. who hit for 5.2 a
- 52:08Speaker 1: pop on 10 attempts.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Drew Locke, the quarterback. Jadarian Price with a run for
- 52:13Speaker 2: the first down.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Now they set their sights on Jalen Warren and Rico
- 52:17Speaker 1: Dowdle this week. Dowdle only 15 yards on eight attempts,
- 52:20Speaker 1: so just 1.9 per carry. Warren, a nice 4.6 a
- 52:24Speaker 1: run on his 10 attempts.
- 52:26Speaker 10: First down inside the 45. Jalen Warren still fighting to
- 52:30Speaker 10: the 35.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Got two NFC East teams looking for their first wins.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Washington coming up oh so close to pulling off a
- 52:40Speaker 1: late game comeback versus Philadelphia that might have sent it
- 52:43Speaker 1: to OT.
- 52:44Speaker 13: Daniels, little shuttle pass inside, bait, he is stuffed! Not
- 52:49Speaker 13: going to get there.
- 52:51Speaker 2: And the Eagles make the stand they needed.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Dallas at home this week after falling short in New York.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Not the start they were looking for on either side
- 52:59Speaker 1: of the ball after feeling so much optimism all offseason.
- 53:03Speaker 16: Arguably the game clinching first down. It is making the
- 53:08Speaker 16: Dallas Cowboys cover the entire field.
- 53:10Speaker 1: So now both teams hoping to fix things. Dak Prescott
- 53:14Speaker 1: just does not like week one. We pointed out in
- 53:16Speaker 1: their preview last week, He doesn't pile up many yards
- 53:20Speaker 1: and openers. And once again, he is having to try
- 53:22Speaker 1: and rebound in week two. Just 175 yards passing, only
- 53:26Speaker 1: 5.1 yards per attempt. A sub-90 rate got picked off.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Flinging!
- 53:31Speaker 11: Is it intercepted?
- 53:33Speaker 2: A knee was down. Did he hold on? They say yes!
- 53:36Speaker 2: A pick!
- 53:37Speaker 1: He did throw two touchdowns, and so did Jaden Daniels.
- 53:40Speaker 1: He too, though, is in the same boat. He only
- 53:42Speaker 1: threw for 164 yards, less than five yards per attempt.
- 53:46Speaker 13: First and long, Daniels over the middle. Tipped and incompleted,
- 53:50Speaker 13: Zach Bond again.
- 53:51Speaker 1: So we have a Washington O that only put up
- 53:53Speaker 1: 22 points, just 4.4 yards per play. only 5 for
- 53:57Speaker 1: 15 on third down.
- 53:59Speaker 13: Dumps it underneath, long way to go, and a nice
- 54:01Speaker 13: cut and move, but White is.
- 54:02Speaker 8: Nowhere near it.
- 54:03Speaker 1: And a Cowboys offense that only managed 20 points, just
- 54:07Speaker 1: 4.7 yards per play.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Now throws it and gets rid of it, incomplete.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Each team went 3 for 3 in the red zone
- 54:13Speaker 1: at least, and Dallas went 8 for 11 on third down.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Prescott next facing a Washington secondary that gave up three
- 54:20Speaker 1: touchdowns to Jalen Hurts, a rating over 120. Not many yards,
- 54:24Speaker 1: but over eight yards per attempt.
- 54:26Speaker 13: Hurts, third down over the middle. There's Dallas Goddard.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Good move.
- 54:30Speaker 13: Dallas Goddard on his horse.
- 54:32Speaker 2: It in.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Okay, well, the Cowboys secondary also gave up a rating
- 54:36Speaker 1: north of 120 to Jackson Dart. Three TDs as well,
- 54:40Speaker 1: close to eight yards per attempt. Let him complete 23
- 54:44Speaker 1: of 29 passes, close to eight yards per attempt allowed.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Here's Dart swinging that one more time. Singletary to the
- 54:50Speaker 2: end zone.
- 54:51Speaker 1: What about the pass rushes and the O-lines? Cowboys sacked
- 54:55Speaker 1: Dart twice, won by rookie Caleb Downs.
- 54:57Speaker 2: With his first headline hit of his NFL career.
- 55:01Speaker 7: Woo, coming off the edge.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Two sacks, 29 pass attempts for just one yard lost.
- 55:07Speaker 1: They blitzed 44% of the time. That's high. Pressured Dart 30%
- 55:12Speaker 1: of the time. That's below average. Daniels only took one sack,
- 55:16Speaker 1: only lost a yard. threw the ball 34 times, but
- 55:19Speaker 1: without being blitzed much, was pressured 50% of the time.
- 55:23Speaker 1: That's hefty. Left tackle Brandon Coleman gave up a whopping 23%
- 55:28Speaker 1: pressure rate and allowed the one sack.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Heavy pressure here. Daniels pressured again. It gets drilled.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Dak, meantime, would welcome similar protection as last week. He
- 55:38Speaker 1: didn't face a crazy pressure rate. Not one sack taken
- 55:41Speaker 1: on 34 pass attempts. Only got hit three times all game.
- 55:44Speaker 16: Working against Brian Burns and the 16 sacks that we
- 55:48Speaker 16: talked about and all that. If he plays more like
- 55:51Speaker 16: that this year, huge help.
- 55:54Speaker 1: The Washington pass rush he's got on his hands comes
- 55:57Speaker 1: off a three-bag shopping trip. Frankie Luvu with one, Odafe
- 56:01Speaker 1: Owe with one, and one from their prized first-rounder, Sonny Stiles.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Hurts only threw the ball 25 times, too.
- 56:08Speaker 13: And a blitz picked up by Barkley, but Hurts still
- 56:11Speaker 13: gets dropped. What a job by Sonny Stiles.
- 56:14Speaker 3: That is a hit.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Battle when the ball is in the air. Safety Nick
- 56:18Speaker 1: Cross gave up a team-high 68 yards versus Philadelphia. Stiles
- 56:22Speaker 1: gave up a touchdown in 43 yards according to NextGenStats.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Washington DBs gave up 53 yards to Devontae Smith, 73
- 56:31Speaker 1: yards and a TD to Dontavian Wicks, 77 yards and
- 56:34Speaker 1: two touchdowns to tight end Dallas Goddard. Dallas' tight end
- 56:38Speaker 1: Jake Ferguson only six yards last week. George Pickens, six targets,
- 56:42Speaker 1: 28 yards. But CeeDee Lamb, the only Cowboy with more
- 56:46Speaker 1: than 31 receiving yards, scored 44 yards.
- 56:49Speaker 2: And Prescott will pull and throw for CeeDee Lamb! Touchdown!
- 56:53Speaker 1: Dallas is secondary now. No DB specifically gave up big numbers,
- 56:57Speaker 1: but collectively they gave up two touchdowns to tight end
- 57:00Speaker 1: Isaiah Likely. Let him catch all eight of his targets
- 57:03Speaker 1: for 78 yards, allowed 69 yards to Malik Neighbors. Just
- 57:07Speaker 1: two commanders had more than 16 yards receiving. Stephon Diggs, 55,
- 57:12Speaker 1: a trip to the zone.
- 57:13Speaker 13: Daniels slings it underneath and it's caught for a touchdown!
- 57:16Speaker 13: Stephon Diggs!
- 57:18Speaker 1: And rookie Antonio Williams painted it up also, 64 yards
- 57:22Speaker 1: in his debut.
- 57:23Speaker 13: Daniels, zipping, throwing, it is caught for the touchdown!
- 57:28Speaker 2: Antonio Williams!
- 57:30Speaker 1: Finally, the ground games. Daniels ran for 31 yards, took
- 57:34Speaker 1: off five times. Jacory Kroski-Merritt, 16 attempts and a touchdown,
- 57:38Speaker 1: 63 yards.
- 57:40Speaker 2: And a big hole for the man they call Bill.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Only 3-9 a carry for Bill, who gets a Dallas
- 57:45Speaker 1: front that gave up 4-5 a run to Cam Scadaboo,
- 57:48Speaker 1: 81 yards, and had trouble with Dart, who ran for 54.
- 57:51Speaker 11: Second and 10, Dart's going to pull it, keep it,
- 57:54Speaker 11: Isaiah likely was blocking for him.
- 57:56Speaker 1: Washington's run defense also struggled with a quarterback, gave up
- 58:00Speaker 1: 46 yards to Jalen Hurts. played Saquon tough, except for
- 58:04Speaker 1: that 142-yarder he broke off.
- 58:06Speaker 13: First big run for Barkley, might be a home run.
- 58:10Speaker 13: Barkley cuts back inside the 15.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Now they take on Javante Williams, only 3-4 a carry
- 58:17Speaker 1: versus New York, but he scored twice, once through the air,
- 58:20Speaker 1: 31 receiving yards, and once on the ground.
- 58:23Speaker 11: From the 17, Prescott Williams wide open, Cowboys back in it.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Chargers head into week two a little shell-shocked. Have to
- 58:32Speaker 1: try and forget being the team that suffered the biggest
- 58:35Speaker 1: week one upset.
- 58:36Speaker 9: Block from Johnson outside.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Stiff arms his way in for six. Oh, what a drive!
- 58:42Speaker 1: Playing in the comfy confines of SoFi won't necessarily do
- 58:46Speaker 1: the trick. I mean, it didn't make a difference week one.
- 58:49Speaker 1: And in week two, they could be dealing with a
- 58:51Speaker 1: lot of black holes. the Raiders are in town. Vegas
- 58:55Speaker 1: coming off a win and playing in their old stomping grounds,
- 58:58Speaker 1: which means that crowd could have a lot of silver
- 59:01Speaker 1: and black to it.
- 59:02Speaker 3: Well, there you see it.
- 59:03Speaker 2: This is beautiful execution.
- 59:05Speaker 3: By the Raiders offense.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Raiders have plenty to fix week over week, despite the
- 59:10Speaker 1: team with 45 twice on passes.
- 59:11Speaker 9: He was a.
- 59:23Speaker 2: And maybe more importantly, was efficient on the ground.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Which was not always the case last year, 102 yards
- 59:34Speaker 1: on 4-4 a carry.
- 59:36Speaker 2: His balance and his power driving those pistons, getting.
- 59:39Speaker 8: Those extra yards.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Vegas offense rolling in off a nice 27-point showing, 3-for-4
- 59:45Speaker 1: in the red zone.
- 59:46Speaker 2: Can't fire, and caught for a touchdown! Alston Genting!
- 59:51Speaker 1: But again, lots to clean up this week, only 5-for-13
- 59:54Speaker 1: on third down, 4.3 yards per play is rough. Kirk
- 59:58Speaker 1: O'Chain's play has lots of room for growth week over week.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: He did throw three touchdowns.
- 1:00:04Speaker 10: Fires right away, and into the end zone, Jack Bish,
- 1:00:08Speaker 10: and that's a Raider touchdown.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: But Cousins also threw two picks, only put up 160
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: yards at just 5.3 per attempt.
- 1:00:16Speaker 10: Pass is intercepted, second one of the day.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Neither QB in this game comes in hot. Justin Herbert,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: also looking to rebound, only managed 209 yards, was picked off,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Only one touchdown for a low 80s-rate game versus Arizona.
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: Going deep.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Oh, he's got Davis.
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: Intercepted at the 5.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Chargers 0, looking for a way to spark it up
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Week 2. It comes off a 14-point game, going 2
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: for 8 on 3rd down.
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: And Herbert to the air. Low and uncatchable for Johnston.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Now Herbert goes up against a Vegas defense that held
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Miami to 13 points. stopped the Finns on two of
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: their three red zone trips and eight of their 10
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: third down tries.
- 1:00:59Speaker 10: Willis, pressure coming and he goes down and he went
- 1:01:02Speaker 10: out hard.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: The secondary Herbert is locking up with held Malik Willis
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: without a TD, picked him off mid-60s rate.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Willis deep and intercepted an overthrow.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Plus, Herbs is going to have more than just Mad
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Max coming after him. Newcomer Quiddie Paye impressing with a
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: two-sack Raiders debut.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Defensive line, just keep working, keep fighting, keep playing.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Crosby with one and a half bags. Raiders dropped Willis
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: five times on 27 pass attempts, pressured him 44% of
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: the time without having to blitz much.
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: Sacked again, third of the day, and Max Crosby's first today.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Herbert took three sacks, but only one was blamed on
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: one of his linemen. He didn't really face too much pressure,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: wasn't blitzed much. Maybe it was too much of that
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: non-alcoholic beer he's into before the game. Who knows?
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Cardinals bringing the heat. Oh, they come and they get
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: him again. A third sack.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Vegas DBs gave up 53 yards to Malik Washington, 94
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: to Caleb Douglas. Cornerback Eric Stokes, 58 yards allowed. Now
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: they try and wrangle McLovin. He was Herbert's top target
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: week one. Vlad McConkie caught his touchdown along with 82 yards.
- 1:02:14Speaker 9: Herbert to the air.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Alt the block. Caught. Touchdown McConkie.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Other options, Trey Harris, 20 yards last week. Quentin Johnston,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: 17 yards. Orande Gadsden, 32. Tight end David Njoku, the
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: only other bolt with 40-plus yards, checked out with 58
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: in his L.A.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Debut.
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: First and 10, they dump it out. The tight end's
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: got it. Rumbling here, Njoku.
- 1:02:38Speaker 12: L.A.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: 's ground game also in need of a recharge. Omerian
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Hampton did score. But after hearing so much about how
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Mike McDaniel was going to lean on the run, Hampton
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: and Keaton Mitchell only had 16 total attempts. Neither guy
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: even hit a 3-7 carry. It's not going to be
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: easy to improve if Vegas' front holds their Week 1 line.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: They gave up 39 rush yards to Willis and a touchdown,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: but they bottled up Devon Achan to the tune of
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: 3.3 a carry, only 36 yards.
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: Ah, the Raiders were ready for HN to get the
- 1:03:14Speaker 10: ball and shoved him back, and it's going to be
- 1:03:15Speaker 10: fourth down.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: The defense Jenty takes on also showed out versus the
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: run week one, held both Jeremiah Love and Tyler Algier
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: under 3-8 per attempt.
- 1:03:25Speaker 9: Got away from one, slithers his way, and then Tui
- 1:03:28Speaker 9: Polotu brings him down.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: But they have improvements to make in all the other departments,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: gave up 26 points to Arizona.
- 1:03:35Speaker 9: Second down goal to the end zone, present, caught, touchdown!
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: They did hold them to 2-for-5 on red zone attempts,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: 6-for-14 on third down tries. That's solid stuff. But the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Tooley Mack pass rush Cousins faces needs to find some teeth.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Only sacked Jacoby Brissett once on 37 pass attempts, blitzed
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Brissett 35% of the time, and only pressured him at
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: a 30% clip.
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: He sees that they're rushing five, dropping six into coverage,
- 1:04:02Speaker 10: and nobody's assigned to him.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Cousins hoping for another day where he doesn't get sacked.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: He threw 30 times, only got hit twice.
- 1:04:10Speaker 10: Cousins to throw. Extra pressure's picked up. No sacks for
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: Miami today. That's gentee.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: If he gets similar protection, maybe he can do what
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Brissette did versus L.A. Secondary. They, too, are looking to
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: correct some things. Gave up 277 yards to Brissette on
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: 7.5 per attempt. Didn't pick him off. Gave up a
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: 100-plus rate to him. Cornerback Cam Hart giving up 70
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: yards according to NextGenStats. faced six targets allowed five catches.
- 1:04:36Speaker 9: Airing it out down the side and caught what.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: A catch genti the only raiders pass catcher with 40
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: plus yards week one michael mayer 32 yards trey tucker
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: 27 jaylen nailer 27 jack besh 23 Denver heads into
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Week 2 licking its wounds. Just ask for a mulligan
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: like the rest of us hacks, right?
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Chiefs bail out. They were showing blitz balls out. I'm
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: not sure what they were trying to do offensively here.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: They are at home at least this week, but the
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: boys who roll in aren't Quintana and Liam. Jacksonville Jaguars
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: don't appear to be pushovers in any way, shape, or
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: form after their Week 1 romp fest.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Throw to the end zone. Caught. Strange. Able to corral it.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Of course, the only thing Denver and Cleveland have in common,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: in theory, is the color orange. But man, does Trevor
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Lawrence come in with a sunny disposition, 18 for 23
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: out of the gate, 245 yards, over 10 yards per attempt,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: quartet of TD passes for a fatty 150 rating, very
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: much carried over the momentum from his breakout 2025 season.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Here comes the pressure again for Lawrence. He's going toward
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: the end zone. Caught!
- 1:05:49Speaker 10: Diving catch, Parker Washington.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Jags 0 could have gone for 50-plus last week if
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: it didn't take their foot off the gas, slapped Cleveland
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: with 34 points over the first three quarters, 5-for-10 on
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: third down, 2-for-2 in the red zone.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Lawrence looking to throw, passes, completes!
- 1:06:05Speaker 10: Balls it in toward the back of the end zone!
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Now, on one hand, you look at Denver's defense giving
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: up 31 points and think, man, it's going to be
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: another Jacksonville smorgasbord.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Fields was in the game, here's a toss to Walker!
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: He's got another.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Broncos let KC go 9-for-17 on third down, 3-for-5 in
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: the red zone, but it wasn't so much their pass defense,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: per se, that let them down. They just could not
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: stop Kenneth Walker, who dropped 173 rush yards on them.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: How about another? Finds a little crease and just keeps
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: his legs moving. So far, they don't have an answer.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: They also gave up a rush TD to Patrick Mahomes,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: but they didn't play him terribly as a passer. Held
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: him under 200 yards, picked him off.
- 1:06:48Speaker 10: And a pick intercepted by Brandon Jones. Mahomes threw it
- 1:06:52Speaker 10: right to him.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: They didn't give up many downfield passes. What they have
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: to correct is missed tackles and all the yards after
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the catch that came with them. They let Travis Kelsey
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: go for 71 yards on the back of a 59-yard reception.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Linebacker Alex Singleton tagged for letting it happen. Corner Jaquan
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: McMillan gave up 69 yards according to NextGenStats.com. Trev connected
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: with six different guys for 20-plus yards versus Cleveland. Parker
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Washington leading the way with 83 yards into TD.
- 1:07:22Speaker 10: Throw off the play fake. Middle of the field pass
- 1:07:24Speaker 10: is complete. Parker Washington. And he's got a first down.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: He hit Jacoby Myers in the end zone. He heads
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: into Week 2 off a 40-yard game.
- 1:07:32Speaker 10: And just to the line of scrimmage, he throws back
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: in the end zone.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Caught! Touchdown, Jacoby Myers!
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: As does Brian Thomas.
- 1:07:39Speaker 10: It's off the play fake. Lawrence Wobbler pass complete. Thomas again.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Jaguars O-line working off a nice outing. Lawrence only got
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: sacked once on 23 pass attempts. Only faced pressure 24%
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: of the time. That's below the typical league average. They
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: could live with that again.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: They're just winning at the line of scrimmage. I mean,
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: it's as simple as that.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: He wasn't blitzed much. Probably will be this week. Denver
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: sent five plus after Mahomes over 40% of his pass attempts.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: That fits what they did last year. They sacked him twice,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Zach Allen with both.
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: Holmes wrapped up in the second sack of the night
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: for this Denver defense.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: As for their faulty week one run defense, this week
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: they try and primarily slow Bashal Tootin, who hit it
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: 4-4 a carry in their win over the Browns, 66 yards.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: On first down. Tootin sheds a tackle or two.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Denver's offense needs to do just as much tidying up
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: as its D does. Only 10 week one points. They
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: looked great for one drive. Rest of the night, they
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: left a lot to be desired. Not a great way
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: for Davis Webb to debut as OC. Man, every time
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: they showed him, he was on the move like he
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: was trying to catch up on his steps. Just 176 yards,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: a paltry 3.7 yards per play, two for 12 on
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: third down. They have another game like that and Sean
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Payton may have to get back in the saddle.
- 1:09:01Speaker 10: Wins that foot race and now just the ball comes
- 1:09:04Speaker 10: out of his hand.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Bo Nix in need of a big week two rebound.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: 131 yards under five yards per attempt. A rough INT.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: On third down over the middle he's picked. Intercepted.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Now it's on to Jacksonville's defense which held it down
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: to 10 points. Stopped Cleveland in the red zone both
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: times they got there. Held them to one for eight
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: on third down. Came up with a pick.
- 1:09:28Speaker 10: He throws to his left, intercepted at the 20-yard line
- 1:09:32Speaker 10: right out of the gates.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: The secondary, Nix, tries to get back on track against,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: gave up a touchdown, nine yards per attempt and a
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: rate close to 100, but only gave up 205 yards
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: to Deshaun Watson. That game was over so early, they
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: didn't let him rally back into it.
- 1:09:48Speaker 10: And he lost the football, knocked away, recovered by the Jaguars.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Jag's secondary gave up 43 yards to Casey Concepcion. 59
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: yards and a TD to Denzel Boston. Jags corner Monteric
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Brown to blame for his stats, according to NGS. Denver
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: only had two guys finish with 40-plus yards. Cortland Sutton,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: just 11. Jalen Waddell, only two. Pat Bryant had 42.
- 1:10:11Speaker 10: Now Nix fires a bullet and the pass is caught
- 1:10:15Speaker 10: by Pat Bryant.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: And tight end Evan Ingram scored with 43 yards.
- 1:10:20Speaker 10: Backpedaling's got a man! Ingram touchdown! Great answer by the
- 1:10:25Speaker 10: third-year quarterback.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Nix needs better protection this week. He got dropped four
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: times on 28 pass attempts, only blitzed 30% of the time,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: yet faced pressure 45% of the time. Two sacks attributed
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: to linemen, right tackle Mike McGlinchey, one of them, along
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: with six pressures allowed and a hefty 18% pressure rate allowed.
- 1:10:46Speaker 10: Nick's protected, pulls it down, and down he goes. Loss
- 1:10:50Speaker 10: of five.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Jaguars' pass rush got to Watson five times. Not much
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: blitzing needed and still pressured him 44% of his throws.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Trayvon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen kicking off 2026 with one
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: and a half bags each.
- 1:11:05Speaker 10: Pressure's coming. Watson steps up. Watson breaks away from Hines-Allen,
- 1:11:09Speaker 10: but then goes down.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: And no issues out of the gate for Jacksonville's run
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: defense held Quinshawn Judkins to 2.8 a carry for just
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: 33 yards.
- 1:11:18Speaker 10: They hand it off again to Judkins, trying to make
- 1:11:20Speaker 10: a man miss, and the defense was there.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: This week, they take on R.J. Harvey and J.K. Dobbins.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: They both hit at 4.5-plus on the yard-per-carry meter, but
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: they barely got any play, only 11 carries between them.
- 1:11:32Speaker 10: This offense, for as talented as this group is, this
- 1:11:35Speaker 10: has not been good at all.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Miami heads west this week. I have proven I'm not
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: a geography major, but I know that's right. Did the
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Finns even bother going back home because they were already
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: out in that direction? Maybe getting closer to water will help?
- 1:11:51Speaker 11: And exactly what he does, going up high, skying to
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: get that football.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: They now go even further west to get in the
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: ring with a team that just faced off with the
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: supposed Super Bowl favorites and made a statement. Maybe the
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Bang Bang Niner gang is the team everybody should be
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: scared of. Niners fans sounded like Michael Bolton all last week. Oh, yeah,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: that's exactly what I need. Yeah, give it to me.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: Let's do that. Let's do exactly that.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Except, of course, they weren't being sarcastic. And now they
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: want more of it week two, like more of the
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: same from their remade offense. which hung 27 points on L.A.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: 's supposed vaunted defense, went 2-for-3 in the red zone,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: 7-for-12 on third down.
- 1:12:42Speaker 8: Get his hands on him.
- 1:12:43Speaker 17: Brock Purdy, excellent job stepping up in that pocket, and
- 1:12:46Speaker 17: then Mike Ebbin still has that vertical speed.
- 1:12:48Speaker 8: He can get downfield and just turns around.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Brock Purdy would love another game without a single pass
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: rusher getting to him. Zero sacks taken, 34 pass attempts.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Big bad Miles Garrett. didn't register even half a tackle,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: and he played 40 snaps.
- 1:13:05Speaker 17: You know, you get a chip right here, and then
- 1:13:07Speaker 17: the physicality and the athletic ability of Trent Williams is
- 1:13:10Speaker 17: unique at this age and at this size.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: The play-calling Purdy was working with almost picture-perfect. Lots of misdirections,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: quick passes that then set up some longer developing plays
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: to take form. BCB had the one bad pick, only
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: 205 yards, but.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Three touchdowns for a plus-100-rate game. Now, on one hand,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Purdy and company face a Finns defense that gave up
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: 27 points. They were bad in the red zone, allowing
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: three of Vegas' four attempts to be completed for TDs,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: gave up three touchdown passes to Kirk Cousins.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: And caught for a touchdown!
- 1:13:54Speaker 10: Ashton Genting!
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: But Miami also held Vegas to five for 13 on
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: third down, a lowly 4.3 yards per play. Their secondary
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: is far from feeling dazed and confused. They held Cousins
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: to 160 yards, just 5.3 yards per attempt, picked him twice,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: held every Vegas pass catcher to fewer than 50 yards.
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: To keep L-I-V-I in this week would help if they
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: could get a sack or.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Two from its pass rush.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Didn't get to Cousins once on 30 pass attempts, only
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: hit him twice. Their secondary does have a tougher group
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: of pass catchers on their hands this week. Got a
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: text from a member of the 49er faithful. Said I
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: should make sure to thank Tampa Bay for making it
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: possible for this Mike Evans guy to join up. Scored
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: in his debut, only 49 yards, but converted multiple drive-extending
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: third downs.
- 1:14:56Speaker 9: That's my bike, punk.
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: Samuel scored in his return debut.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Debo, 48 yards, plus 12 on the ground.
- 1:15:08Speaker 17: What he has scrambles to his right, and this is
- 1:15:10Speaker 17: something that him and Debo Samuel did a long time
- 1:15:13Speaker 17: in his first stint here.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: And Demarcus Robinson leading the team with 50 yards on
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the other end of that pretty dot.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: The end zone, it's caught.
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: Touchdown, Demarcus Robinson burning his former team.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: They didn't even need all that much from George Kittle,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: only 21 yards, lost his backup to injury, so he'll
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: need to be ready for some more snaps this week. CMC,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: 20 receiving yards, telling you, you may see lots of
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: games where their passing pizza is divvied up pretty equally.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: It's what could make them really hard to stop, though. McCaffrey,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: plenty efficient on the ground.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: And man, maybe he doesn't get run into the ground.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Kalen Black with four more carries than he had, and
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: he looked great.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: 65 yards on 4-6 a pop.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: Now they'll pitch it back on the ground with Black.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: And this is another area where Miami's defense could tighten up.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Their play against Vegas' Ashton Gentee lacked. Gave up two
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: receiving touchdowns to him, 45 receiving yards, plus 102 yards
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: on the ground at 4-4 a carry.
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: And he cuts loose!
- 1:16:30Speaker 14: Spinning in the air with a first down!
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Offensively, lots of corrections to make ahead of week two.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Only 13 points, just two for 10 on third down
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: versus Vegas. One for three in the red zone, two turnovers. Meantime,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: the Niners' defense they face, holding Matthew Stafford, Puka Nakua,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Devontae Adams, that two-headed back attack to seven points. Two
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: for nine on third down, one for three in the
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: red zone. means they are plenty confident headed into week two.
- 1:17:07Speaker 17: But you can't see where the ball is, and it
- 1:17:08Speaker 17: doesn't look like he ever gets across the goal line there.
- 1:17:12Speaker 8: Great job.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Willis looking at a secondary that held Stafford to 155 yards,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: a meager 6.2 per attempt, picked him off, no touchdowns allowed,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: for a low 60s rate.
- 1:17:23Speaker 6: Stafford, deep shot, and it's picked! He throws the interception
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: right back.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Malik is hoping for better results in his second Miami start.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: No touchdowns, one pick, a mid-60s rating.
- 1:17:36Speaker 10: Willis has a lot of time here, floats it, and
- 1:17:39Speaker 10: out of bounds.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Caleb Douglas has momentum at least, shined in his rookie debut,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: five catches, 94 yards.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: He's got it! It's Caleb Douglas!
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Malik Washington, the only other fin pass catcher with more
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: than 30 yards, walked out with 53. Willis took five sacks,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: two on 27 pass attempts.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: Only two blamed on their linemen, but he faced a 44%
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: pressure rate. That's Peter Griffin fact.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: And only faced a 19.4 blitz rate. Four of Miami's
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: five linemen, though, gave up pressure rates of 13% or
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: higher according to NextGenStats.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: That's rough.
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: Pressure coming.
- 1:18:25Speaker 10: And they're going to sack him again.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: Thrown back at the 46. 49ers pass rush they try
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: and rebound against didn't sack Stafford once. However, they finished
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: with a hefty 41% pressure rate, and they barely blitzed him.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: so only thing missing was just finishing him off a
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: few times.
- 1:18:43Speaker 9: Fred Warner.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Looked great in his return from injury. Led the team
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: with 11 tackles, knocked down a pass. As to stopping
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: A-Chan this week, they'd like to play him like they
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: did Kyron Williams, who they held a 3.7 per carry.
- 1:19:02Speaker 6: Looking for a second, he's not going to get it.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: He got swarmed.
- 1:19:07Speaker 9: By Fred Warner and Jaden Duggar.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Next up, Devon Achan, who comes in off a rare dud,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: only 36 yards, 3-3 a carry, just 11 attempts.
- 1:19:16Speaker 13: You get number five, Eric Stokes, taking it on right there,
- 1:19:18Speaker 13: and N'Kobe Dean untouched.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Willis scored their one TD on a run, scraped together
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: 39 rush yards on 6-5 a pop.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Willis for the end zone! Touchdown, Dolphins!
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Indianapolis Colts hit the road for some Sunday night football action,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: hoping their defense getting to sleep in is the cure
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: for their week one grogginess.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: Henry finds a hole.
- 1:19:44Speaker 10: Derrick Henry rumbling towards the end zone.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: Henry, touchdown!
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: They are in Kansas City where Kenneth Walker Rangers debut
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: in red was like watching Chuck Norris judo chop his
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: way through the bad guys.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: Breaking tackles into the secondary. Still rumbling. 28 yards for
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker.
- 1:20:03Speaker 8: No, wait.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: It was like watching Adat Walkers land on Hoth for
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: the very first time where we were all like, what
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: the football is that? Man, what a way for K-9
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: to hit the scene for his new team. Patrick Mahomes
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: felt like Jared Goff or an Atlanta QB.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: Wait.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: You can just hand the ball to a guy and
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: he just takes off and leads your team to a win.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I'm with it, man. 173 yards, 7.5 yards per carry,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: a 60-yard house call. Talk about setting a high bar
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: for yourself ahead of week two.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: Still going. Kenneth Walker. Still going.
- 1:20:39Speaker 10: Touchdown Kansas City on fourth and one.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: Nobody knew exactly how Andy Reid planned on using Walker.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: He just rammed him straight down Denver's defensive throat. Walker,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: the key reason KC scored 31 points on what is
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: supposed to be one of the stingiest defenses in the land.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Nine for 17 on third down, three for five in
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: the red zone, close to 400 yards of offense.
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: Here's a toss to Walker. He's got another.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: And now Walker goes after a Colts defense that just
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: gave up 144 yards on six a carry. to derrick
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: henry a week ago.
- 1:21:15Speaker 12: Henry more room to run derrick henry to midfield.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: They also gave up 40 yards rushing and a td
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: to lamar jackson mahomes showed his knee seems just fine
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: as he ran in back-to-back tds the first negated by
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: a flag but turning around and taking it in from
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: even further out was quite the statement.
- 1:21:36Speaker 10: Mahomes able to break one tackle he's in touchdown.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Chiefs offense stacked against an Indy defense that gave up
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: over 500 yards, 41 points.
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: And he has another touchdown. That's three.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: Mahomes drawing a secondary that gave up 324 yards to
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Jackson on a whopping 13 yards per attempt. for a
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: fat 120-plus rate.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: Lamar finds Zay Flowers with tons of room to run.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: Zay is gone!
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: Indy's DBs gave up 150 yards to Zay Flowers, and
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: he didn't even play all game. Cornerback Justin Wally gave
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: up 99 yards, according to NextGenStats. Safety A.J. Halsey, 77
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: yards and a TD. Corner Chavarrius Ward allowed 57 yards.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Now they try and get right against Mahomes. whose return
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: from injury as a passer was so-so. He was picked
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: off and didn't connect on many downfield throws.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: They're going to throw it, and a pick! Mahomes threw
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: it right to him!
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: But he did throw for two touchdowns, their passing attack
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: production in large part the results of a lot of
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: yards after the catch and broken tackles.
- 1:22:45Speaker 10: He definitely brings a sense of urgency to this group.
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: Here's Rice, his first catch, and Rasheed! Broken tackle and
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: gets a touchdown!
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: Only two KC pass catchers come in off games with
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: more than 40 yards, Rasheed Rice had that score, but
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: only 19 yards. Xavier Worthy, 18 yards. Tyquan Thornton, zilch.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Rookie running back Emmitt Johnson racked up 44 yards in
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: his debut.
- 1:23:09Speaker 10: Here's Emmitt Johnson. He's breaking tackles. The tackling for Denver's
- 1:23:12Speaker 10: been horrible.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: And Mr.
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: Swift.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey gave his wife and Tom Cruise something to
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: cheer about, broke away for a 59-yard reception as part
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: of a 71-yard outing.
- 1:23:23Speaker 10: Broncos coming after Mahomes, and he finds Kelsey. Travis Kelsey
- 1:23:27Speaker 10: inside the 20, down to the 5. Patrick Mahomes, perfect timing,
- 1:23:32Speaker 10: great execution.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Mahomes had to rely on a backup left tackle, took
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: two sacks on 27 pass attempts.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Mahomes wrapped up in the second sack of the night.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: But he was blitzed 43% of the time, 34% pressure rate,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: so all in all, their line fared well enough. Colts
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: pass rush he's dealing with next. Blitz Jackson at a 41%
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: clip got to him twice on 25 pass attempts and
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: forced a fumble on one of them.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: Lot to ball out. Colts pick it up. DeForest Buckner.
- 1:24:03Speaker 11: Finally some pressure by this Colts defense.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: Still wasn't nearly enough, so they have a lot of
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: cleanup work to do ahead of this game, whereas KC's
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: defense does not. Chiefs D, looking to carry over their
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: Week 1 play to Week 2, held Denver to 10 points,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: only 176 yards, fewer than 5 yards per play, stopped
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: 10 of Denver's 12 third-down tries.
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: We're showing Blitz balls out.
- 1:24:29Speaker 10: And it's recovered by Kansas City and Chris Jones.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Danny Dimes gets a secondary that picked off Bo Nix once.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Rookie Mansoor Delane with his first NFL INT. He did
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: leave the game after that play with a hurt shoulder,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: but the rest of his mates held Nix to 131
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: yards passing when it was all said and done, just
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: 4.7 yards per attempt.
- 1:24:50Speaker 10: On third down, Nix, first grab, stood up, sneed, it's
- 1:24:55Speaker 10: fourth down.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: Jones in needing of a rebound outing as his return
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: from injury did not go as well as Mahomes. Only
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: 166 yards, just 5.4 yards per attempt. Only one touchdown
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: and he was picked off. Colts were fortunate to score
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: 23 points. They averaged less than five yards per play
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: and went three for ten on third down. JT they're
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: saving grace he scored twice Indy going three for three
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: inside the 20 at least.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: Taylor takes it in for a touchdown and finally something
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: for these Colts fans to cheer about.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: So they may as well just have given him 40
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: carries he picked up 98 yards on his 19 attempts
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: so he hits week two in good spirits And they start.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: It with Jonathan Taylor. Little bit of room, nice stutter step.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: JT into the open field.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: The front, he'll try and keep it going against, gave
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: up a 17-yard run to J.K. Dobbins, but that was
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: kind of it. They only faced 15 rush attempts, head
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: into their second game only allowing 61 rush yards.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Dobbins cuts up field. Third and long coming up.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: Many of those same blokes, also happy with their ability
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: to get to the quarterback, planted Knicks four times on
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: 28 pass attempts. blitzed 30% of the time and put
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: up a fat 45% pressure rate, rookie R. Mason Thomas
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: with his first NFL bag.
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: And down he goes, R. Mason Thomas, the rookie.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: Jones sacked twice on 31 pass attempts, but none of
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: their linemen tagged with a sack allowed. However, Jones wasn't
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: blitzed much yet faced pressure 52% of the time. Left
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: tackle Bernard Raymond allowed a super high 23% pressure rate
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: and eight pressures according to NextGenStats. Right tackle Jalen Travis, 17%,
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: so they have work to do in the trenches in
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: practice this week.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: Now Jones chased out. Robinson's there with him. Jones can't
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: turn the corner, throws it away.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: Being under duress, part of the reason Jones had trouble
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: hooking up with his pass catchers, Tyler Warren scored but
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: only 13 yards. Keenan Allen, 32 yards. Josh Downs, 37.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: Alec Pierce, the only guy with more than 40 at 61.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Jones to Pierce.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: And Alec Pierce down to the six-yard line.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Rams back at their actual home. It just wasn't the
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: same last week. When someone screamed, Who's house? They answered,
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: Crocodile Dundee's house. It just wasn't the same vibe they're
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: used to, and it showed on the field.
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: And it's 49ers ball!
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: New York heads across the country this week. Maybe they're
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: strutting across the continent. Man, do they have a whole
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: different feel to them after last week. John Harbaugh was
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: drinking for free wherever he went in the Big Apple.
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: There they go.
- 1:27:40Speaker 16: Likely's going to go right behind him. Scataboo's just going
- 1:27:44Speaker 16: to stroll in.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: Man, what a way to make an entrance, Harbaugh. Where
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: do you start? Because G-men are coming off strong showings
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: on both sides.
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: Of the ball.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: But let's go with Dart Vader. Jackson looking to keep
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: it rolling after he lit up Dallas for three TDs
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: without any INTs. 230 yards on close to eight yards
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: per attempt, a rating over 130.
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: 39. Dart protected. Fires complete. Neighbors.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Dart dazzled with the stems, too. 54 rush yards.
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: Out in front, really, with nobody even to block.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: How about Malik Neighbors' return from injury? Six catches, 69 yards.
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: Play action this time. And Dart throws in the middle.
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: And open is Neighbors. Downs brings him down.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: And he's likely to throw to Isaiah some more after
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: he snagged two of his touchdowns, eight targets, led the
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: team with eight catches, 78 yards. Lots of folks have
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: been saying he's in line for a breakout year.
- 1:28:38Speaker 11: Start to the end zone, likely two feet down.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: Touchdown, Giants.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: And finally, Cam Scadaboo also looked great coming off his injury.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: 81 yards, 4-5 a run, and a TD.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: Touchdown, Giants.
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: Ha, ha, ha, ha.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Scataboo gets a Rams defense that has some cleanup work
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: to do. They gave up 174 rush yards, 5-8 per attempt.
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: They allowed CMC to hit it 6-8 a clip and
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: Kalen Black at 4-6 per.
- 1:29:09Speaker 17: That shows that what he's been doing in the offseason
- 1:29:11Speaker 17: is working the explosiveness.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: Big Blue taking on a Rams defense that gave up
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: 27 points, allowing San Francisco to go 3-4 in the
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: red zone, converting 7 of their 12 third down chances.
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: Mike Evans, all three of his catches have been a
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: third down conversion.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: Dart not facing a totally rattled secondary, though. They didn't
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: give up big yards to Purdy, picked him off once.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: They held him to six yards per attempt. It was
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: a lot of short, quick stuff.
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: On first down, Purdy delivers, and it's picked! He was
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: going for Kittle!
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: But they also gave up three touchdowns to him. Safety
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Cam Kinchens got tagged with two of the three touchdowns allowed,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: only faced two targets, too, gave up the so-called perfect
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: 158.3 rating.
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: He'll rep on the run. Wide open!
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: Deep O. Samuel! Touchdown!
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: If you looked at the standard box score, you're like, well, yeah,
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: but that's because we didn't have Aaron Donald or Miles Garrett. Well,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: they did both produce the same stat line.
- 1:30:13Speaker 8: Get underneath that shoulder, those ribs. That's another way to
- 1:30:15Speaker 8: do it. Watch this.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: Bam, physical.
- 1:30:17Speaker 8: Another bam for you there, Noah.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: But Miles played and wasn't in on even one tackle
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: on 42 snaps played. And now he's not playing.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: Knee injury.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: Maybe Donald debuts week two. They could use him. Didn't
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: sack Brock Purdy once on 34 pass attempts.
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: Purdy on second and 10. Feeling the rush. Stepping up.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: And Purdy's going to tuck and run.
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: Major first down yardage all the way to the 30.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: Hey, look, showing up fashionably late may be industry standard
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: in Hollywood. Maybe not so much in Australia.
- 1:30:50Speaker 8: Who knows?
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: Rams back at SoFi for this one, hoping a more
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: familiar setting produces more familiar production from its offense and
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: the stars who are supposed to power it.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: Fourth and four.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: Stafford shot.
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: Ferguson the intended target and incomplete.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: LA's O-Face only mustered seven week one points. They went
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: two for nine on third down, one for three in
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: the red zone. Matthew Stafford reigning MVP needing to bounce
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: back after throwing for just 155 yards. No TDs, one
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: bad pick.
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: They've got one in the first half of game number
- 1:31:25Speaker 6: one in 2026.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: Green makes the play.
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: Niners back in business.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: But here again, we arrive to a Giants week one strength.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: Stafford facing a secondary that held Dak Prescott to 175 yards.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: Just 5.1 per attempt picked him off once.
- 1:31:41Speaker 11: Dak's got four to throw to. Thought about taking off
- 1:31:43Speaker 11: and stepping up. Now he's in trouble. Retreating and flinging.
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: Did he hold on? They say yes!
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: A pick!
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: Rams versus a Giants defense that held the boys to
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: 20 points to fewer than five yards per play.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: Stafford didn't even take one sack on his 25 pass attempts.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: However, L.A.
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: Gave up a 41% pressure rate. That's Fat Albert Fat.
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: Right guard Kevin Dotson gave up a whopping 17.9% pressure rate.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Allowing five pressures.
- 1:32:23Speaker 6: Fourth and four, Stafford shot, Ferguson the intended target, and incomplete.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: New York's pass rush is loaded, but they didn't sack
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Prescott once on his 34 pass attempts, so that's one
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: area they can improve in. Still, held CeeDee Lamb to
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: 44 yards, George Pickens to 28.
- 1:32:40Speaker 16: And they're just sort of fist fighting and going down
- 1:32:44Speaker 16: the field.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: And Only one Rams pass catcher ended with more than
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: 26 yards. Devontae Adams finished with 26. Tyler Higbee, 17.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: Puka Nakua at least with 74. Stafford looking for a
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: big play.
- 1:32:59Speaker 6: And he's got it to Nakua who breaks a tackle.
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: Second one by Greenlaw. Nakua with a major gain.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: Kyron Williams accounted for their lone TD.
- 1:33:08Speaker 8: Puka Nakua comes around the edge.
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: Really nobody to block.
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: Physical run through.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: But he too is in the rebound line. He only
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: mustered 3.7 per carry. Blake Corum, the only Ram playmaker
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: who's looking to carry over any true positive momentum, hit
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: at a nice 5.4 a pop, 54 yards.
- 1:33:26Speaker 8: For the Sean McVay offense, it's a hard time to
- 1:33:28Speaker 8: get on the field.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: Now he tries to find room against a New York
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: front that held Javante Williams to 3-4 a carry, held
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Dallas overall under four per attempt.
- 1:33:37Speaker 16: The run and hunt and take a shot guy and
- 1:33:41Speaker 16: consistently that energy.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: Arizona Cardinals at home for a meeting of two feathered types.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: Couple of 1-0 teams flying around together in this one. Yeah,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: how about that? Best not to overlook the Red Sea,
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: I guess.
- 1:33:56Speaker 9: Hit, grab, sacked, what a play! Dante Stills comes through!
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: They host the Seattle Seahawks, who fly in with what
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: you might call an invincibility complex, lost our starting QB
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: on the first drive, missing two starting DBs, 10 flags
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: for 98 yards, two for 11 on third down, 0
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: for 2 in the red zone, playing the reigning AFC champs,
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: only score 13 points, no problem. If they can win
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: with all of that, it begs the question, how might
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: they look if they're healthier and they clean some things up?
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Sure is nice to have a defense that can cover
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: for you, and by the looks of it, Arizona's offense
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: is facing just as dark a dark side Seattle D
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: as ever, held New England at 10 points, a piddly
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: 4.1 yards per play.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: Nade fires and the middle intercepted! Julian Love's got it!
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: Secondary was missing Tai Okada and Nick Aminwari. Tracked their
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: injury status this week. They could be back. Even without them,
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: Jacoby Brissett looking at a group coming off a 3-INT game.
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: Hawks defense traded their dark side persona for a K-dot
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: mask week one. Just dominated Drake like it was the
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: summer of 2025. Picked him off three times. The third
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: with New England a chip shot away from sending the
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: game to OT.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: Did he get the feet down?
- 1:35:30Speaker 12: Yes!
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: A pick! A terrible decision!
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: Now they see what Jacoby Brissett is all about, and
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: he was all about showing he can give a good
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: defense and secondary plenty of problems. Comes off a 277-yard,
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: 1 TD, no INT, 100-plus rate game versus the Chargers,
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: doing all that on the road, mind you.
- 1:35:50Speaker 9: Jousting with heart it's a connection at 34 and harrison
- 1:35:55Speaker 9: his first catch today and it was a.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: Doozy seattle's defense getting in the ring with a cards
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: offense that hit la with 26 points.
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: Back of the chargers defender.
- 1:36:07Speaker 17: What a throw excellent throw.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: If Arizona's O-line gives Brissette the same kind of protection,
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: they have the cast to keep producing, too. He threw
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: 37 times versus L.A. He was only sacked once.
- 1:36:20Speaker 9: They bring five. Here goes Brissette. Down the middle and
- 1:36:23Speaker 9: caught on the play for a first down.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: Drake Thomas, Derek Hall, Big Cat, Leonard Williams all made
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: it home to see mom, or Drake May in this case. Brissette,
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: dealing with a Hawks pass rush that tracked down May
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: three times, pressured him a hefty 20 times.
- 1:36:38Speaker 11: Pressure from Murphy up the middle. Drake got away. Not
- 1:36:42Speaker 11: for long.
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: Loss of a yard. The sack.
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: If they don't hurry Brissette, he's going to look for
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: that tight end of his. Trey McBride still looks like
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: the king of that position after starting the year with
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: 95 yards and a score.
- 1:36:54Speaker 9: Quarterback Brissette in town the middle.
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: And who does he have? Trey McBride.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: Hawks' corners have three wideouts to try and slow down.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: Marvin Harrison Jr. just one catch 33 yards a week ago,
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: but Kendrick Bourne racked 75 yards.
- 1:37:10Speaker 9: Johnson a block at the left tackle. He's got the
- 1:37:12Speaker 9: angular receiver born.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: And Michael Wilson looms started 2026 with a 56 yard outing.
- 1:37:19Speaker 9: 10, Algier the back. Amber said again, he's right on
- 1:37:22Speaker 9: the screws of the 25 for Wilson.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: Arizona's run game didn't get as much play, but they'll
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: hit Seattle with their running back duo. Both guys hoping
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: for more efficient week twos as both Tyler Algier and
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Jeremiah Love finished under four yards per carry last week.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: Love only 11 attempts as he was still dealing with
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: that ankle injury, but he did score his first NFL TD.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: Finding lanes against Seattle's front won't be easy. May escaped
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: a few times, ended up with 47 rush yards, 6-7
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: a run. Some 12-year-old is like, oh man, you hear that?
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: But they held Ramondre Stevenson to 2.8 per on his
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: 18 attempts.
- 1:38:07Speaker 16: But they say as a run defender, he is the best.
- 1:38:09Speaker 16: He went so quickly around Jared Wilson right there.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: Arizona's defense also hits week two, flexing though, holding the
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: Chargers to just 14 points, only 268 total yards of offense,
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: and two for eight on third down.
- 1:38:23Speaker 9: They'll go to the air here on his first nap.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: He's at once. Down he goes.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: Has plenty of confidence too, held Justin Herbert to 209 yards,
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: only one TD, while picking him off for a low
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: 80s rate. Herbert going deep.
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: Oh, he's got Davis. It is shoved in at the 5.
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: Can they keep it rolling versus Drew Locke this week?
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: But Locke comes off a nice showing, got better as
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: the game went along, ended up with a nice 113 rate,
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: 187 yards, 8.5 yards per attempt, no INTs, one TD.
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: Go in the air, go right to play. Great call, Chris. Jackson, Smith,
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: and Jigba is gone.
- 1:39:00Speaker 2: Touchdown.
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: He's not dumb. Just load up on JSN again. It
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: worked all last year and worked well week one, so
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: why not go back to the well? Smith and Jigba,
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: eight catches, 122 yards, their one touchdown. Again, the opposition
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: knew he was going to get the most looks. He
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: is remarkable.
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: Touchdown!
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: Nobody else had 40 receiving yards. Rasheed Shaheed, four yards,
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: three targets.
- 1:39:35Speaker 10: A.J.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Barner, 13 yards. Brady Russell, 20 yards. Cooper Cupp, 35.
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: But we got to show that one-hander. It was a
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: real beaut, Clark.
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: One on top. Clark Cupp, he made a.
- 1:39:53Speaker 13: Catch.
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: Cooper Cupp. Shades of that amazing brand.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: Darnold took the one sack, Locke took one, NGS didn't
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: hit any of their O-line guys with blame for either one, though.
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: Right tackle Abraham Lucas did allow a fat 18.5 pressure rate, though,
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: allowed five pressures.
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: Six, Patriot bring an extra rusher. Darnold pops it. Nowhere
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: to go. Draymond Rhodes gets to him.
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: Will Arizona's pass rush show up two weeks in a row?
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: Without blitzing much, they planted Herbert three times on 27
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: pass attempts.
- 1:40:24Speaker 9: Here on his first snap, he's at race. Down he goes.
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: Sacked on the play, second set.
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: And they'd welcome another performance against the run similar to
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: what they did versus L.A. Only 81 rush yards allowed
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: held them under four a carry.
- 1:40:39Speaker 9: Tempton.
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: This game, of course, features two rookie running backs who
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: played together at Notre Dame. And man, did Jadarian Price
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: make a case to see more than the 10 handoffs
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: he got week one. 52 yards, 5.2 per carry versus
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: New England. Looks like another Seattle steal.
- 1:41:03Speaker 16: It's not Kenneth Walker, but it sure looked like Kenneth
- 1:41:06Speaker 16: Walker on that one.
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: Green Bay Packers hit the road week two, hoping to
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: heed the words of Bill Lumberg this time around. Just
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: because it's a Sunday, it isn't a half day or anything, okay?
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: Need good football for four quarters if you expect to win.
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: Who's it? Almost picked.
- 1:41:24Speaker 2: It is picked! Off the deflection!
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: Another takeaway!
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: They take on the 1-0 Jets. Gang Green looking to
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: start a season 2-0 for the first time since 2015.
- 1:41:34Speaker 14: Little misdirection. End of round play. Sadiq bangs it in!
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: This is the first time since 2009... that fans of
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: New York football are all celebrating together after week one.
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: And they both started 2-0 that season, so who knows?
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: Maybe Geno Smith can keep it going. He didn't throw
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: any TDs, but no picks. completing 19 of his 24
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: passes for 215 yards, a healthy 9 yards per attempt
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: for a 100-plus rating.
- 1:42:05Speaker 14: Titans again rush four. Smith trying to thread the needle,
- 1:42:09Speaker 14: and it is caught.
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: His clean game led to a respectable 23-point showing from
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: their offense. Their line has mojo, too, as they kept
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: him from getting sacked once. He only got hit one time.
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: Really impressed by the offensive line of the Jets. They've
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: really kind of handled... Tennessee's front.
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: Imagine if they can convert a few more third downs,
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: two for 12 versus Tennessee. They might, if Green Bay's
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: defense doesn't shore some things up, they let Minnesota convert
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: eight of 15 chances, allowed them to score on all
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: four of their red zone trips, gave up a hefty
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: 39 points to Minnesota, who had to revert to a
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: backup quarterback most of the game.
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: Wentz, end zone, caught, touchdown.
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: Now, they did hold Minnesota to 3.9 yards per play,
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: which is incredibly low. They only gave up 133 yards
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: to Carson Wentz, but they couldn't pick him off. Gave
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: up three TDs to him for a rating north of 120.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: To the end.
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: Zone, and it is caught! Best receiver in the game
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: on a rookie.
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: No Packer DB gave up many yards. They did pick
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: off Kyler Murray once at least, but safety Xavier McKinney,
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: cornerbacks Brandon Cisse and Carrington Valentine all dinged for a touchdown.
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: Two of them to Justin Jefferson, who also went for
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: 92 yards. The star wideout they take on next, Garrett Wilson,
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: who led New York with 79 yards versus the Titans.
- 1:43:32Speaker 14: Smith airing it out beautifully to Wilson. First down, they're
- 1:43:36Speaker 14: going to get inside Tennessee territory.
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: Hayden Kenyon-Siddiq with just 16 yards. Did score his first
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: NFL TD on a three-yard run, though. Adni Mitchell chipped
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: in with 60 yards. Only two Jets pass catchers coming
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: in off 31-plus yard games.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: Airing one out far side of the field and it
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: is caught.
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: Green bay's pass rush should be tougher to handle than
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: tennessee's they bagged up wentz three times pressured him a
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: nice 40 percent of the time lucas van ness edgar
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: and cooper a bag each.
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: Right around the goal line and brought down brought down
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: by van ness.
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: Their front, also looking to build off a solid opening frame,
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: held Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason under 4 a carry,
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: held Minnesota as a whole to just 3.1 a run.
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: This time Jones goes nowhere, and Van Ness tackled him down.
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: Now they get Brees Hall and Braylon Allen. Allen gave
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: them 40 yards on 4 per. Hall, hoping to stack
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: back-to-back nice outings on top of each other, racked up
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: 102 yards on 4.6 a carry, scoring once.
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: From his quarterback handoff here. It is Hall! Gonna waltz in!
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: Jets defense also hits this week with their heads held high,
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: held Tennessee to 10 points, held the Titans offense to
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: 195 yards. Only four yards per play, four for 12
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: on third down, only let them inside the 20 once.
- 1:45:00Speaker 14: Boy, how many times have we seen Ward, by time,
- 1:45:03Speaker 14: but just unable to find anyone.
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: Stacked against a Packers offense that only scratched out 22
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: Week 1 points, only three in the second half. Three
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: for 12 on third down, one for four in the
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: red zone, so plenty of room for improvement available.
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: Throws it, almost picked, it is picked! Off the deflection!
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: Another takeaway!
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: Wasn't that Jordan Love played bad? 387 passing yards against
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: a tough Minnesota defense, two TDs, while being blitzed over 75%
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: of the time? That is bonkers high. All that blitzing
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: did lead to four sacks taken on his 42 pass attempts,
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: and he faced pressure 50% of the time. Both Green Bays,
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: starting tackles, gave up pressure rates of 15% with seven
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: pressures allowed each.
- 1:45:54Speaker 2: Again! The purple wave!
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: His love is just smothered for the second time on
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: this series.
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: The Jets didn't blitz anywhere near as much as Minnesota,
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: only sent five-plus after Cam Ward 23% of the time,
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: and still generated pressure 41% of the time, sacking him
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: three times, Will McDonald with one, Kingsley Enigbare ex-packer with one,
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: and rookie David Bailey with his first NFL bag.
- 1:46:21Speaker 14: My goodness, Will McDonald, boy, burying Cam Ward.
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: If they can get similar heat, it sets up their
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: secondary again. Held Ward to a paltry 140 yards, only
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: 4.4 yards per attempt, held every pass catcher to fewer
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: than 40 yards for the game.
- 1:46:40Speaker 13: Jets, free blitzer off the edge. Ward run it for
- 1:46:42Speaker 13: his life, throws across his body.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: Love's pass catcher as Christian Watson blazes in off a
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: two-score 147-yard outing.
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: As Love's looking for his first completion.
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: He's got it to Watson. Watson is not going to
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: be caught.
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: Matthew Golden living up to his first-round pick status with
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: 95 yards.
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: And finds Golden, cutting through and taking it all the
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: way down to the 25.
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: Jaden Reed, 35 yards, tight end Tucker Kraft, 65. Down
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: the middle they go.
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: They've got, for the second time, Tucker Kraft.
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: Green Bay's rush game needs some work. They gave the
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: most carries to Marshawn Lloyd, only 37 yards, 13 attempts
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: for a 2.8 average touchdown. Chris Brooks, a little more
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: efficient at 4.1 a carry on his seven tries.
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: Brooks takes the handoff. Brooks with some hard running.
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: Run defense wasn't tested much, only faced seven Tony Pollard carries.
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: He did hit at five a run, but Tennessee only
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: allowed 68 rush yards, so yeah. Packers, 12 flags, some
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: of them really painful, some ludicrous. Body weight flags are
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: maybe the worst of the worst.
