- 0:01Dave Hamilton: Business Brain, episode 776 for Wednesday, August 5th, National Work Like a Dog Day, 2026.
- 0:11Shannon Jean: Work like a dog.
- 0:12Dave Hamilton: Working like dogs. I guess, I don't know what that actually is supposed to mean.
- 0:16Dave Hamilton: I don't know either. What do I mean, work like a dog?
- 0:18Shannon Jean: My dog's pretty lazy, and we should talk about that.
- 0:22Dave Hamilton: Whether it's a sniffer dog at customs or that one office superstar making everyone
- 0:26Dave Hamilton: else look lazy, we celebrate those who go above and beyond for their careers
- 0:31Dave Hamilton: all right that's work like a dog day sure i
- 0:33Shannon Jean: Guess that's yeah i.
- 0:34Dave Hamilton: Guess so i guess so yeah i guess uh greetings and welcome to business brain
- 0:39Dave Hamilton: the show where we take some ideas we crunch them we dissect them we use them
- 0:43Dave Hamilton: to tune our business brains
- 0:46Dave Hamilton: and level up our charmed lives every single episode twice a week our sponsor
- 0:51Dave Hamilton: for this episode is at hymns.com slash business brain we govy at hymns you can
- 0:57Dave Hamilton: lose up to 20% of your body weight.
- 0:58Dave Hamilton: It's all done online, which I love, and everybody's licensed.
- 1:02Dave Hamilton: We'll talk more about the details in a little bit.
- 1:04Dave Hamilton: For now, back here in Durham, New Hampshire, I'm Dave Hamilton.
- 1:08Shannon Jean: And still out here in Northern California, I'm Shannon Jean. Good to have you back.
- 1:13Dave Hamilton: It's good to be back.
- 1:14Shannon Jean: Yeah, yeah. That's cool. Speaking of dogs, like lazy dogs, so, you know, it's funny is,
- 1:23Shannon Jean: when I started coaching a year and a half ago or something like that,
- 1:26Shannon Jean: And you kind of warned me of getting stuck in this consultant trap. Sure.
- 1:30Shannon Jean: Yeah. Yeah. And so I was really aware of that. That was very front of mind.
- 1:33Shannon Jean: Okay. I'm not going to do that.
- 1:34Dave Hamilton: And you successfully.
- 1:36Shannon Jean: Yes.
- 1:36Dave Hamilton: Navigated away from it. I loved it. Yeah.
- 1:39Shannon Jean: So I started the mastermind, brought in other coaches, try to build a business
- 1:42Shannon Jean: around it and everything. And, but it ramped up,
- 1:46Shannon Jean: like quick you know we we flew up to thousands of members uh and it was really
- 1:51Shannon Jean: like i was like man i've got a,
- 1:55Shannon Jean: another business that's just taking a ton of my time which wasn't my initial
- 1:59Shannon Jean: sure uh thing i was just kind of doing something to keep me keep my interest
- 2:04Shannon Jean: level up and another challenge but,
- 2:07Shannon Jean: along those lines is like all of a sudden i realized i had kind of built myself
- 2:11Shannon Jean: into a box it wasn't the consultant trap because yeah i got out of that so it
- 2:14Shannon Jean: wasn't an hourly thing but it It was just,
- 2:17Shannon Jean: the demand on my time,
- 2:20Shannon Jean: you know, a lot.
- 2:21Shannon Jean: And it was great. I'm not complaining. These are not, these are.
- 2:23Dave Hamilton: No, I understand. Yeah, it's just an observation. No, but it's worth saying
- 2:28Dave Hamilton: it. I mean, it's charmed life, right? Like these are champagne problems. Yeah.
- 2:33Shannon Jean: You got it. That's it. And I, you know, having been kind of semi-retired for
- 2:39Shannon Jean: maybe the last 10 years or so.
- 2:41Dave Hamilton: I got myself retired.
- 2:44Shannon Jean: Semi. I said semi.
- 2:45Dave Hamilton: You also haven't been semi-retired.
- 2:48Shannon Jean: In my, well, let's say in my lexicon of the amount of work that I do,
- 2:52Shannon Jean: that, and the flexibility that I have, I was able to step away.
- 2:57Dave Hamilton: From having a home. All right, we'll talk about, we're going to talk about,
- 3:00Dave Hamilton: I have another, well, later this, the thing I want to talk about later is,
- 3:03Dave Hamilton: it fits into this, but keep going, please.
- 3:05Shannon Jean: So anyway, yeah, so where I, you know, probably like six months ago,
- 3:11Shannon Jean: maybe earlier this year, first quarter of this year, I said, you know,
- 3:16Shannon Jean: I was like, I don't, this is not sustainable. I don't want to do it.
- 3:19Shannon Jean: It's just too much. It's like, this is not what I intended. And I realized I
- 3:25Shannon Jean: kind of had this tiger by the tail.
- 3:26Shannon Jean: So I was fortunate enough to have brought in a couple of other people to help run this business.
- 3:35Shannon Jean: And I just said, you know what, what happens if I just stop?
- 3:41Shannon Jean: What happens if I just do nothing? yeah and i'm fortunate the champagne problem
- 3:47Shannon Jean: that i could take i could do that experiment.
- 3:49Dave Hamilton: Right yeah you didn't yes yep i
- 3:51Shannon Jean: Didn't i wasn't relying on the income i just the main thing is i didn't want
- 3:55Shannon Jean: to let anybody down right i created this business that i feel has a ton of value
- 4:00Shannon Jean: for people so that in that part i actually really enjoy and so i identified what i enjoy the most,
- 4:05Shannon Jean: the people i enjoy motivating them working with them talking to them watching
- 4:10Shannon Jean: them helping them grow. That's, that's it for me.
- 4:13Shannon Jean: But you know, everything else is, is work.
- 4:17Dave Hamilton: Yes.
- 4:18Shannon Jean: And I don't want to do it. So I just, I just stopped. I was like,
- 4:21Shannon Jean: heck with it. I'm just going to stop.
- 4:23Dave Hamilton: Yeah.
- 4:23Shannon Jean: And a surprise, and a surprising thing happened. You know what that was?
- 4:28Dave Hamilton: Nothing.
- 4:29Shannon Jean: Nothing happened. It only kept getting bigger and better and nothing crazy happened.
- 4:38Shannon Jean: I was able to just keep communicating with my team in Slack.
- 4:43Shannon Jean: We continue to build projects and I would give them some feedback,
- 4:47Shannon Jean: but I didn't feel compelled that I had to be involved in every decision.
- 4:52Dave Hamilton: Yes.
- 4:53Shannon Jean: Right? Yep. And I was able to focus. And when I say do nothing,
- 4:59Shannon Jean: it's really more like do what I enjoy the most.
- 5:01Dave Hamilton: I see.
- 5:02Shannon Jean: Which is creating content, posting on X, which I love, and helping other people,
- 5:08Shannon Jean: which I absolutely love.
- 5:10Shannon Jean: But running the day in and day out of another, you know,
- 5:16Shannon Jean: What is becoming a significant business was just not on my bingo card or whatever
- 5:21Shannon Jean: you want to call it. Sure.
- 5:23Shannon Jean: And so I'm not going to do it. I'm just not. And so it's been great and I've
- 5:28Shannon Jean: loved it. And it just reminded me, and I feel so fortunate that I have the opportunity to just do it.
- 5:36Shannon Jean: To test this. And just test it. I couldn't have done it like a tech restore.
- 5:39Shannon Jean: There's just no way I could have done it. Or at Rescue System.
- 5:43Shannon Jean: I know I'm just, I was too part of the, in the cog. I was too much part of the system. Right.
- 5:48Dave Hamilton: Yep.
- 5:49Shannon Jean: But, uh, so it's been great. So I would encourage you to, to like,
- 5:54Shannon Jean: what happens if you step away for a week, two weeks, a month, a month is a big.
- 6:00Dave Hamilton: Yep. A big, uh, no, the month is the month is the big one. They always,
- 6:04Dave Hamilton: you know, anybody that, that like would counsel you on this kind of thing is
- 6:09Dave Hamilton: like, get your, get your business to a point where you could step away for a month. Yeah.
- 6:14Dave Hamilton: And then that's a different thing now. Very.
- 6:18Shannon Jean: Yeah. And, you know, and I'm not, I didn't like disconnect and not talk to anybody.
- 6:21Shannon Jean: I'm still in it day in, day in, day out.
- 6:24Dave Hamilton: But you're not, you're not out. You aren't at the point where you're out of
- 6:27Dave Hamilton: it for a month. I mean, you are, you are still.
- 6:31Dave Hamilton: And I don't say this negatively. Yeah. You are still the content.
- 6:37Shannon Jean: Creator in the distribution system for this.
- 6:40Dave Hamilton: Well no what i i i think you're the you're the talent for
- 6:44Shannon Jean: This okay.
- 6:45Dave Hamilton: Right somebody else can do the distribution
- 6:47Shannon Jean: For you now if yeah but if you don't when i say distribution i mean yeah the
- 6:53Shannon Jean: content that i create yes that
- 6:55Shannon Jean: is our distribution and that is what brings people to the to our platform.
- 6:59Dave Hamilton: Uh i see okay
- 7:01Shannon Jean: And okay and that's the part i enjoy the most and i and you know like january
- 7:05Shannon Jean: february i was like man i'm gonna lose this it's like here I always I often
- 7:09Shannon Jean: say you know if you want to kill something you really love just monetize it.
- 7:13Dave Hamilton: Right right oh
- 7:14Shannon Jean: Absolutely it changes everything it would be like you just doing music gigs
- 7:20Shannon Jean: because you're like well how much money is it going to pay yeah which is a terrible
- 7:24Shannon Jean: way to think about it and I don't want to think about this business like that either and it kind of,
- 7:32Shannon Jean: Hey, you know, let's, it kind of gave me a big chunk of my time back. Yeah.
- 7:37Shannon Jean: And I've been really fortunate, again, to have great people managing really
- 7:42Shannon Jean: crucial parts of the business and offering support layers for the people that
- 7:46Shannon Jean: are in, you know, using the platform and stuff.
- 7:48Shannon Jean: So it just got me thinking about it. And actually, I had another topic we were
- 7:51Shannon Jean: going to talk about it. But when we did our, if you're listening to this,
- 7:55Shannon Jean: one of the things that I actually enjoyed, one of the best parts of this show, you never get to hear.
- 8:02Shannon Jean: And that is the pre-recording that Dave and I get to talk for 15 minutes, sometimes an hour.
- 8:09Dave Hamilton: Sometimes it goes very long.
- 8:10Shannon Jean: Yeah, sometimes we need business therapy and it goes back. But it's super helpful
- 8:15Shannon Jean: and allows you to come up with different ideas.
- 8:20Dave Hamilton: Essentially.
- 8:20Shannon Jean: Yeah, we workshop ideas, but it's based on our lives.
- 8:23Dave Hamilton: Yeah, it's just us catching up with each other. Correct.
- 8:27Dave Hamilton: It's a very unstructured thing. and occasionally one of us will say so what
- 8:32Dave Hamilton: are we talking about this week like and that might be the the beginning of the
- 8:36Dave Hamilton: conversation sometimes it
- 8:37Dave Hamilton: kind of would yeah it was today but other times it's like uh hey you know
- 8:42Dave Hamilton: we we do need to record those episodes yes you know that kind of thing but but a lot of times
- 8:48Dave Hamilton: it just is this organic thing and i i
- 8:51Dave Hamilton: i obviously we have that here that's what we're saying i had that with gig gab
- 8:55Dave Hamilton: when when i had a co-host with paul like i would never show up
- 8:59Dave Hamilton: occasionally i would show up with like an axe to grind you know yeah like we
- 9:03Dave Hamilton: do here yes but otherwise it was just all right what are we going to talk about
- 9:06Dave Hamilton: this week and i was like well
- 9:08Dave Hamilton: i i went i did this at a gig i don't know that there's a there there and then
- 9:12Dave Hamilton: you know within about 30 seconds it's like oh nope that's that's going to be
- 9:15Dave Hamilton: 20 minutes you know so yes yes yeah it's great it
- 9:18Shannon Jean: Allows you to identify things that are yeah,
- 9:21Shannon Jean: Maybe in the back of your mind or something like that.
- 9:24Dave Hamilton: It's in the programming engineering world. We call it the rubber duck, right?
- 9:30Dave Hamilton: Where you need to talk out your thing with something, but it doesn't,
- 9:35Dave Hamilton: you don't necessarily need feedback, right?
- 9:37Dave Hamilton: In order to realize that there's, there's a, there, there, I mean,
- 9:41Dave Hamilton: we do have feedback obviously, and it's a, it's a, it's a nice thing,
- 9:44Dave Hamilton: but, but part of it is that rubber duck syndrome. We're just,
- 9:47Dave Hamilton: we are one another's rubber duck at times.
- 9:49Shannon Jean: And so, yeah, it's kind of prompting, right? You're just kind of talking about problems.
- 9:52Shannon Jean: You're talking about situations that come up. But, yeah, I would encourage you,
- 9:57Shannon Jean: if you feel that you're stretched a little thin, if you're, you know,
- 10:01Shannon Jean: give up some stuff and see what happens. And I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
- 10:05Dave Hamilton: Yeah, I did that with Backbeat years and years ago.
- 10:10Dave Hamilton: And it worked for a while. And then it started not working.
- 10:17Shannon Jean: Yeah, that's common too, I think.
- 10:18Dave Hamilton: Yeah, and I kind of let it go in a not – we had built up enough cash reserves.
- 10:24Dave Hamilton: It was like, yeah, this is fine. And then one day it was – there was one day
- 10:28Dave Hamilton: where it was like, wait, wait, we're not going to make payroll in a month. Yeah.
- 10:32Shannon Jean: Okay. I have totally done that. That's a little different than this.
- 10:36Dave Hamilton: It's different. Right. Well, it's because you've done that before and you know. Yeah.
- 10:41Shannon Jean: Yeah. I only, I felt comfortable because I saw what was happening with what
- 10:47Shannon Jean: was going on in the background. The organization was, the structure was coming together.
- 10:51Shannon Jean: The people were taking, you know, great things or doing good things. And...
- 10:57Shannon Jean: Yeah, it's been super beneficial. Yeah.
- 10:58Dave Hamilton: But yeah, when they when they start to fall apart, that that was a that was
- 11:02Dave Hamilton: a huge wake up call for me.
- 11:03Dave Hamilton: It was also I mean, it was it was scary as heck, obviously, to realize, like, wait, what?
- 11:08Dave Hamilton: Oh, like, I got to reengage here.
- 11:11Dave Hamilton: I basically detached so I could enjoy raising my kids. I mean, it wasn't for you.
- 11:16Dave Hamilton: Oh, I would make the same decision again. Right.
- 11:21Dave Hamilton: Like, no question, even no, especially knowing the outcome. It's like, OK.
- 11:26Dave Hamilton: but there was a day where it was like uh okay i need to like get back to work
- 11:30Dave Hamilton: here and and fix things and i did and that was also empowering like knowing
- 11:36Dave Hamilton: that okay well yes when you know when it hits the fan
- 11:41Dave Hamilton: i know how to do this
- 11:43Shannon Jean: Yeah that's a big deal which is you can put your gas your foot on the gas pedal again.
- 11:47Dave Hamilton: That's it you feel
- 11:48Shannon Jean: Way more powerful builds your confidence it's really.
- 11:51Dave Hamilton: Good. I know that I can do it. I don't know what it would look like the next
- 11:55Dave Hamilton: time if there is a next time, but I know that I'll figure it out. Yeah.
- 11:58Shannon Jean: Well, if you've only started or I mean, if you're fortunate enough to have started
- 12:02Shannon Jean: a business and had some success,
- 12:05Shannon Jean: I highly encourage you to start another one because that is like a whole nother
- 12:10Shannon Jean: switch that gets flipped in your brain when you can do it and you're like,
- 12:14Shannon Jean: oh, it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't a one-off. No.
- 12:17Dave Hamilton: You know what i mean that's right i wasn't
- 12:18Shannon Jean: Just lucky or whatever i wasn't in the right place at the wrong time i mean.
- 12:21Dave Hamilton: You probably were but well sure but you can like it it's not a one-off yeah like yes
- 12:27Shannon Jean: And if you plus you're going to be way better at it.
- 12:30Dave Hamilton: Right way we should we'll
- 12:31Shannon Jean: Save this as let's save this as another.
- 12:33Dave Hamilton: Topic we're already we've already done like three topics here yeah let's take
- 12:38Dave Hamilton: i want to and there's one other thing that i want to talk about today um that
- 12:42Dave Hamilton: really kind of ties all this together, strangely, but that's often how it works here.
- 12:48Dave Hamilton: And we will do that. The next thing that I want to do, though,
- 12:52Dave Hamilton: is I want to talk about our sponsor.
- 12:54Dave Hamilton: Listen, entrepreneurs, we're really good at optimizing everything,
- 12:58Dave Hamilton: except when it comes to ourselves, right?
- 13:02Dave Hamilton: We'll A-B test a button color for
- 13:04Dave Hamilton: like six weeks. We'll rebuild the whole onboarding flow over one metric.
- 13:09Dave Hamilton: We'll obsess over a checkout that's already converting fine.
- 13:13Dave Hamilton: And then we'll treat our own body like a legacy system that nobody's allowed to touch.
- 13:18Dave Hamilton: Lunch was a protein bar at 4 p.m.
- 13:21Dave Hamilton: Dinner was whatever happened while we were still answering email.
- 13:25Dave Hamilton: So, if weight loss has felt like a losing battle, this summer can be different, folks.
- 13:32Dave Hamilton: Skip the guesswork and try our sponsor, Weight Loss by HIMSS.

- 13:40Dave Hamilton: including the WeGovie pill and the WeGovie pen, plus the support to actually stick with it.

- 14:53Dave Hamilton: So the thing that I had on my list, Shannon, is here's what I wrote in my notes to discuss here.
- 15:02Shannon Jean: Okay.
- 15:03Dave Hamilton: A lifestyle business is a job with unlimited upside.
- 15:08Dave Hamilton: But if it's not, then you have to question it.
- 15:11Dave Hamilton: And it was in response to those people who say you shouldn't build lifestyle.
- 15:17Dave Hamilton: Like the people who are anti-lifestyle business, right? Yeah.
- 15:21Dave Hamilton: What they will often say is kind of the dismissive comment is,
- 15:25Dave Hamilton: well, with a lifestyle business, all you've done is given yourself a job.
- 15:30Dave Hamilton: And it's like, okay, let's assume that's true.
- 15:36Dave Hamilton: As long as it's a job with unlimited upside.
- 15:39Shannon Jean: It can be a hell of a job, dude.
- 15:41Dave Hamilton: It can be a hell of a job.
- 15:43Shannon Jean: That's the thing. I can tell you.
- 15:44Dave Hamilton: Right. It's the same. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, look at what I just did last
- 15:49Dave Hamilton: week, right? Like exactly. I just decided, OK.
- 15:52Dave Hamilton: And I didn't just decide we've prioritized our lives because around concerts,
- 15:58Dave Hamilton: because we like concerts.
- 15:58Dave Hamilton: And last week we went and saw Train, Fish, Rush and Fish.
- 16:04Dave Hamilton: And on during one of the days we went and saw The Outsiders on Broadway,
- 16:08Dave Hamilton: because my friend Victor, who I first met when he was 17 years old,
- 16:12Dave Hamilton: right over there in this room, he's been on Broadway with The Outsiders since day one.
- 16:16Dave Hamilton: I'm so impressed with him. Yeah, it was really cool. Yeah, really cool.
- 16:20Dave Hamilton: Very cool. But that's what we did last week, and it's fine.
- 16:25Shannon Jean: It's because you own lifestyle businesses, and you get to have an amazing lifestyle.
- 16:28Dave Hamilton: It's because I get to make those decisions, right? Of course,
- 16:31Dave Hamilton: of course. I'm not answering to investors, and I have to work 80 hours a week and all that thing.
- 16:35Dave Hamilton: And there's upside to that, too, obviously. Yeah, that's right.
- 16:39Dave Hamilton: That's right. But the lifestyle business, it's not a bad thing, but...
- 16:46Dave Hamilton: Not all lifestyle businesses are equal. So the metric that kind of came to mind
- 16:52Dave Hamilton: was that as long as you as the owner of the lifestyle business see unlimited upside,
- 17:03Dave Hamilton: then you've got something that you can work with.
- 17:05Shannon Jean: Yeah, and you get to define it. Yes. The thing about what I love about lifestyle
- 17:10Shannon Jean: businesses is just that.
- 17:12Shannon Jean: Okay, it's situational, right?
- 17:15Shannon Jean: And there's seasons in your life when, like, you made a comment in the first
- 17:20Shannon Jean: segment about stepping back because you wanted to be there when you were raising your kids.
- 17:24Shannon Jean: Well, you get to do that. And so then later, when your kids maybe aren't around
- 17:30Shannon Jean: or they don't need you quite as much.
- 17:32Dave Hamilton: Dig in a little more.
- 17:33Shannon Jean: You can put your foot on the pedal.
- 17:36Dave Hamilton: Or just go to concerts.
- 17:37Shannon Jean: Either one. That or both or whatever.
- 17:39Dave Hamilton: Or both. That's the thing. Especially nowadays with all the tech that we have.
- 17:44Dave Hamilton: I mean, I didn't, like, I still worked last week. I didn't record shows because
- 17:49Dave Hamilton: I've certainly done it. We've done shows when you're in a hotel room,
- 17:52Dave Hamilton: and when I'm in a hotel room, it's fine. If we can avoid it, it's better.
- 17:56Shannon Jean: Yeah, I think so. Yeah.
- 17:58Dave Hamilton: But otherwise.
- 17:59Shannon Jean: But yeah, it is that,
- 18:02Shannon Jean: I don't,
- 18:03Shannon Jean: Yeah, I mean, having a lot of money is great. Don't get me wrong.
- 18:06Shannon Jean: And that's awesome. And it's a great rubric and it knows how to do.
- 18:09Shannon Jean: However, the flexibility,
- 18:15Shannon Jean: is the most valuable thing to chase. And I think the way you get the most flexibility
- 18:21Shannon Jean: in your life is you focus on the value you're adding to other people.
- 18:25Shannon Jean: And if you can think along those two,
- 18:30Shannon Jean: you know uh balance yourself among that like,
- 18:34Shannon Jean: put more value more value yep you're going to build more flexibility into your
- 18:38Shannon Jean: life yeah and i'm not talking just about your customers i'm talking about your
- 18:41Shannon Jean: employees your contractors your suppliers you need to be the center of the value uh,
- 18:48Shannon Jean: system you know and and if you drive all that it really works.
- 18:52Dave Hamilton: But it has to have unlimited it upside and i say this because
- 18:56Dave Hamilton: you could go online and create a scenario where you are creating value for lots
- 19:02Dave Hamilton: of other people and getting zero dollars for it right there's the whole internet
- 19:07Dave Hamilton: famous you know but broke kind of
- 19:09Shannon Jean: Thing yeah that's that's true be.
- 19:11Dave Hamilton: Aware i and i know if
- 19:12Shannon Jean: You're undervaluing yeah you're spot on is a lot of people they they're focused
- 19:19Shannon Jean: on that value value value they get that part giving it but they don't value
- 19:23Shannon Jean: themselves as much gotta.
- 19:24Dave Hamilton: Bring it back
- 19:25Shannon Jean: You gotta bring it back they don't tell you uh,
- 19:29Shannon Jean: uh we're gonna this is not our friday i episode but you should come back because
- 19:32Shannon Jean: i have a comment about value and using ai and and listening to,
- 19:37Shannon Jean: yeah we'll talk more about that but it's really a good point and you're right
- 19:41Shannon Jean: it does have to have that unlimited upside it's got it if it doesn't,
- 19:46Shannon Jean: you just have to figure out how to tweak it.
- 19:48Dave Hamilton: That's it if you start by creating value for other people then you can work
- 19:54Dave Hamilton: on the upside like there's yeah there's always a way always a way i
- 19:57Shannon Jean: Agree i agree man thanks.
- 19:59Dave Hamilton: For hanging out everybody um make sure yes come back friday because we've got
- 20:03Dave Hamilton: some good things on friday i of course um
- 20:06Dave Hamilton: I would love to hear from you. It's interesting. I go, whenever I'm out in the
- 20:12Dave Hamilton: world at a place where we all are, and I mean you as our listeners and us,
- 20:17Dave Hamilton: you know, me or Shannon or sometimes both,
- 20:20Dave Hamilton: you come up with very specific feedback and comments, and I love hearing it.
- 20:25Dave Hamilton: We get very little email from you. I know you're out there, though,
- 20:29Dave Hamilton: because you're there. So I'm curious as to why. I have theories as to why,
- 20:34Dave Hamilton: but I'd love to hear why you don't email us more often.
- 20:38Dave Hamilton: And you can do that. You can send us that note at feedback at businessbrain.show.
- 20:44Dave Hamilton: So please do that.
- 20:46Shannon Jean: Yeah, it's great. And what's the takeaway.
- 20:48Dave Hamilton: From today's show? Oh, the big takeaway. I hit the button before we got to the
- 20:51Dave Hamilton: big takeaway. What is the big takeaway, Shannon? Huh.
- 20:56Shannon Jean: I think that it's what, if you should try that experiment of stopping.
- 21:01Shannon Jean: Yes. And see what happens when you do nothing.
- 21:05Shannon Jean: Sure. That's my takeaway. Yeah. I think that's really important in the board-tier experiment.
- 21:09Dave Hamilton: I like it.
- 21:10Shannon Jean: It can be scary. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then let us know. Feedback at businessbrain.show.
- 21:14Shannon Jean: Let us know how it works out.
- 21:16Dave Hamilton: I love it. All right. That's it. Folks.
