- 0:47Speaker 2: Swing and a foul upstairs. Big series for the Blue
- 0:50Speaker 2: Jays when you look ahead this weekend. They're hosting New
- 0:53Speaker 2: York and of course they eliminated New York in the
- 0:57Speaker 2: postseason last October and Toronto right now is still under.
- 1:02Speaker 2: 500 and eight games behind New York and Tampa. Now
- 1:11Speaker 2: the 0-2. Swung on, lined to center. Goldschmidt went down,
- 1:16Speaker 2: got that pitch about ankle high and lined it right
- 1:20Speaker 2: back up the middle into center. That'll bring up Ben Rice.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Ben Rice, 0 for 4. Two for twelve in the series.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Left on left. Eight to three New York.
- 1:49Speaker 1: The pitch. And it's wide. Ball one.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Deion, first base side of the rubber, hands below the belt.
- 2:06Speaker 2: He delivers, and it's swung on, grounded through the hole
- 2:10Speaker 2: in the right, base hit. Goldschmidt stops at second, Rice
- 2:14Speaker 2: at first. Nobody out for Cody Bellinger. He's one for
- 2:18Speaker 2: three with a double and a walk. Now the pitch.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Upstairs, a ball. Well, the Braves are in.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Chicago to take on the White Sox tonight, and Ronald
- 2:50Speaker 2: Acuna Jr.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Has been put on.
- 2:52Speaker 2: The injured list with a hamstring injury. It's a huge
- 2:56Speaker 2: blow for Atlanta. Deion's pitch, and it's hit in the air.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Left side of the infield. Infield fly rule. The shortstop
- 3:06Speaker 2: in shallow left, Brian Rocchio, retires Bellinger.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Out number one.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Braves, who've been baseball's best team all year, with a
- 3:15Speaker 2: nine-game lead over Philly in the National League East. That's
- 3:23Speaker 2: a blow any time you lose Acuna Jr. Again, left
- 3:30Speaker 2: on left, here's Ryan McMahon, struck out his only time up.
- 3:35Speaker 2: The pitch, outside, corner strike. Former Cleveland Indian Will Brennan
- 3:43Speaker 2: designated for assignment by the Giants.
- 3:52Speaker 1: The pitch.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And it's nicking the outside corner for strength two. Will
- 4:07Speaker 2: Dion's ready.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Here it comes.
- 4:12Speaker 2: And it's fouled straight back. Count stays 0-2 on McMahon.
- 4:34Speaker 2: The next delivery. Strike three called. McMahon's out looking. Two down,
- 4:40Speaker 2: two on. Eight to three. Yanks in the eighth. Trent
- 4:45Speaker 2: Grisham to the plate. Grisham has singled and tripled and
- 4:53Speaker 2: walked today. Two for three officially. Deion's ready. The pitch
- 5:07Speaker 2: down and away.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Ball one. Down the 1-0 pitch. And it's fouled at
- 5:31Speaker 1: the plate.
- 5:33Speaker 2: 1-1.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Deion's ready. He fires, low and away. Ball two, two
- 6:01Speaker 1: and one.
- 6:16Speaker 2: The left-hander out of McNeese State lets it fly, and
- 6:21Speaker 2: it's a strike. Painted the outer edge. Two and two
- 6:24Speaker 2: on Grisham. Have said it a bunch, but Grisham's a
- 6:32Speaker 2: guy that flies under the radar. He is a really
- 6:36Speaker 2: good all-around player. The 2-2. Swing and a foul down
- 6:42Speaker 2: the left side. Yankees always have the money and the
- 6:47Speaker 2: ability to sign big-time free agents, but bringing this guy back,
- 6:53Speaker 2: very subtle move because of everything he does. They're really
- 6:59Speaker 2: good teams. have stars, but they also have guys like
- 7:04Speaker 2: Trent Grisham. This guy's a winner. The 2-2, and he
- 7:09Speaker 2: hits one high in the air, fairly deep center. Playable
- 7:13Speaker 2: for Fairchild. Middle of the eighth is coming up. Yankees 8,
- 7:17Speaker 2: Cleveland 3 on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.

- 7:51Speaker 2: Swung on line toward the gap and left center. Kwon
- 7:54Speaker 2: dives and.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Made that catch! What a play by Kwon!
- 7:59Speaker 2: Stephen Kwon just keeps on delivering.
- 8:02Speaker 7: This is Stephen Kwon.

- 9:07Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Furb. Big stories, big opinions, after Guardians
- 9:11Speaker 1: Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Left-hander, Ryan Yarbrough is on the pitch for the Yankees.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Brent Hendrick went a scoreless inning. Carlos Rodon, maybe not
- 9:31Speaker 2: as good as we've seen him in the past, but
- 9:33Speaker 2: he was still plenty good enough. He always is when
- 9:35Speaker 2: he faces Cleveland. Six innings, gave up three runs. Brent Hendrick,
- 9:41Speaker 2: a scoreless frame. Now Ryan Yarbrough with a. 338 ERA
- 9:45Speaker 2: and 13 outings. It was 3-3 through 5, and once
- 9:47Speaker 2: the Yankees scored 3 in the.
- 9:54Speaker 1: 6th, this game was all but over.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Here's Reese Hoskins, 0 for 3. The left-hander delivers, and
- 10:11Speaker 2: Hoskins takes strike one goal. Yarbrough, longtime Tampa Bay Rays,
- 10:18Speaker 2: bounced around Kansas City, Dodgers, Toronto, now the Yanks. He deals,
- 10:28Speaker 2: and it's a little up, one and one. Off day
- 10:37Speaker 2: for both clubs, Detroit and town, starting Friday night. After
- 10:44Speaker 2: the off day, the one-one, swing by Hoskins and a pop-up.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Ben Rice, the first baseman, drifting into shallow right, puts
- 10:53Speaker 2: up his throwing hand to shade his eyes. He doesn't
- 10:58Speaker 2: have any sunglasses on. But the hand worked just as well, evidently.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It'll bring up David Frye, 0-2 with a walk.
- 11:08Speaker 5: David Frye.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yarbrough's pitch inside a ball. Expect to see Tarek Scoble
- 11:31Speaker 2: Saturday and Casey Mize Sunday. Both on the injured list
- 11:36Speaker 2: right now for Detroit. Both look ready to come back
- 11:39Speaker 2: this weekend. The pitch inside 2-0 and you can imagine
- 11:45Speaker 2: the surge.
- 11:45Speaker 1: That that'll give the Tigers. Well, the Yankees are going
- 11:53Speaker 1: to challenge a call.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And not sure why since that pitch missed by a bunch.
- 12:05Speaker 1: 8-3 Yankees.
- 12:09Speaker 2: If you're Ali Sanchez, the catcher, you may want to
- 12:14Speaker 2: rethink that one up 8-3 with your home plate umpire.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That pitch in there. It's hot. It's humid.
- 12:21Speaker 5: It's humid.
- 12:22Speaker 2: It's been an exhausting series for the umpires as well
- 12:25Speaker 2: as the players. That's not a way to get on
- 12:29Speaker 2: the guy's good side. Now the 2-1. Waved at it.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Good. Change it.
- 12:35Speaker 9: 2-2.
- 12:35Speaker 2: The 2-2 delivery. Pulled foul, third base side will do
- 12:53Speaker 2: it again at 2-2. And of course, Detroit remembers the
- 12:59Speaker 2: only meeting with Cleveland was a couple of weeks ago.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Cleveland went into the Motor City and swept the four-game series.
- 13:08Speaker 2: The 2-2. Swing and a foul, third base side. Then
- 13:14Speaker 2: Cleveland went to Philly and took two out of three.
- 13:20Speaker 2: And they were riding high, but with today's result, all
- 13:24Speaker 2: but assured. Since that road trip, Cleveland will be 5-10.
- 13:29Speaker 2: The 2-2. Got him swinging. Another good changeup. Yarbrough strikes
- 13:37Speaker 2: out Fry. That is out number two in the eighth.
- 13:40Speaker 2: There's Travis Muzana. A single, a walk, and a strikeout.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Left on left. Cleveland batting in the eighth. Two outs.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Nobody on. Eight to three. New York.
- 14:00Speaker 2: The set and the delivery. And it's fouled on the
- 14:05Speaker 2: left side. Strike one.
- 14:20Speaker 1: The 0-1 pitch.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Swung on a weak ground ball to short. Volpe gobbles, throws.
- 14:27Speaker 2: We go to the ninth. Eight to three, Yankees.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'll be bringing the heat
- 14:35Speaker 1: every afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Will Dion, his third inning of work, and he'll face
- 14:46Speaker 2: Jose Caballero.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Eight to three, Yankees.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Angel Martinez got a leadoff homer to the porch in
- 14:54Speaker 2: the first. Yankees struck for three in the second.
- 14:59Speaker 1: The big blow.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Two-run triple by Jazz Chisholm. Cleveland came back, though, and
- 15:04Speaker 2: tied it in the fourth. RBI double by Austin Hedges.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Sacked fly by Brian Rocchio. The pitch over but low.
- 15:12Speaker 2: But the Yankees broke the 3-3 tie in the sixth
- 15:17Speaker 2: inning as they would score three Added two in the seventh.
- 15:22Speaker 2: And now coasting eight to three in the ninth.
- 15:26Speaker 1: The pitch. Over but low. Two and oh.
- 15:34Speaker 10: The next pitch called strike two and one.
- 15:49Speaker 2: And a challenge by Caballero in the ninth inning. And
- 15:59Speaker 2: the challenge won by Caballero.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So instead of the count being 2-1, it's 3-0. Now
- 16:15Speaker 1: the pitch. Bullseye. Three and one. The next offering. Swung on.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Ripped foul third base side. Full count.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Good to see our good buddies from the flagship station
- 16:44Speaker 2: here today. Mike Snyder who does such a great job
- 16:46Speaker 2: on sports every morning. On the flagship with Bill Wills.
- 16:51Speaker 1: The pitch.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Swing and a foul. Hooked down the left side. Still
- 16:55Speaker 2: a full count. And Scooter got a hall pass from
- 16:59Speaker 2: his wife. He was at the game today, but Mike
- 17:05Speaker 2: having to chaperone Scooter. Good to have those guys with us.
- 17:12Speaker 2: The payoff pitch. Swing and a miss. Dion comes back.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Strikes out Caballero. That is out number one in the ninth.
- 17:20Speaker 2: That'll bring up Jazz Chisholm. He has a two-run triple. One, four,
- 17:27Speaker 2: three in the game with three RBIs. Left-on-left matchup. Eight
- 17:33Speaker 2: to three Yankees. We're in the ninth. One out, nobody on.
- 17:42Speaker 2: The pitch, swaying and a foul over the screen.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Strike one.
- 17:46Speaker 11: So that means you got two doses of scooter in
- 17:49Speaker 11: one day. Are you going to be all right for
- 17:50Speaker 11: the off day tomorrow?
- 17:53Speaker 1: It'll be hard.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Mike probably had to carry scooter to the car.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Here's the 0-1 pitch. In there, a strike.
- 18:09Speaker 7: 0-2.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Good people.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Not sure why Bill couldn't grace us and come down,
- 18:17Speaker 2: but he probably had a tee time. Right now, Mike
- 18:24Speaker 2: and Scooter are wishing they'd have joined Bill on the
- 18:27Speaker 2: golf course.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Good golf day today, huh? Nothing into the count.
- 18:31Speaker 2: One out.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Nobody on.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yankees up 8-3. The 0-2 to Chisholm. Got him swinging.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Two down.
- 18:43Speaker 2: That'll bring up Anthony Volpe, RBI double, one for three.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Deion's pitch is foul-tipped into the catcher's mitt, strike one.
- 19:23Speaker 2: eight to three yankees ninth inning two down nobody on
- 19:27Speaker 2: deon's ready here it comes and a curve swung on
- 19:32Speaker 2: tapped weakly to third charge by schneeman gloves and throws
- 19:36Speaker 2: him out good job i will be on today finished
- 19:39Speaker 2: up shutting out the yankees over two and a third
- 19:42Speaker 2: eight to three bottom of the ninth next yankees leading.

- 21:33Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'm taking on the stories
- 21:35Speaker 1: that actually matter after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Trying to finish it up for New York as the
- 21:49Speaker 2: left-hander Ryan Yarbrough came on last inning. Stuart Fairchild, 0
- 21:54Speaker 2: for 2 with a walk. He'll be the batter with
- 21:59Speaker 2: New York on top 8-3. Tickets sold today, 31,586.
- 22:11Speaker 1: The pitch.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Outside a ball. Yarbrough works from the set. The high
- 22:26Speaker 2: hold and the pitch. Holds high.
- 22:32Speaker 1: One and one.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Took 10 innings, but after Baltimore tied it in the ninth,
- 22:43Speaker 2: Seattle beat the Birds in 10, 6-5.
- 22:47Speaker 1: The 1-1.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Checked on a pitch inside, 2-1. Seattle on top in
- 22:53Speaker 2: the West at 37-32, now.
- 22:53Speaker 1: 3-1 ahead of Texas. Baltimore's lost five in a row.
- 22:55Speaker 1: They're 31-38. They're going to be 11 games in back
- 22:56Speaker 1: of New York. The 2-1. Outside, 3-1. What's going on there, Baltimore?
- 23:12Speaker 2: A couple years ago, we thought this might be one
- 23:15Speaker 2: of the best young teams in the game, and they've
- 23:17Speaker 2: just gone backwards two years running.
- 23:19Speaker 11: Their young prospect stars have kind of leveled off.
- 23:22Speaker 1: A little bit. Sure have. The 3-1 pitch. Outside. Corner,
- 23:28Speaker 1: a strike, and a challenge by Fairchild.
- 23:32Speaker 11: Pitching-wise, too, they just haven't.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Let's see what the challenge is. And Fairchild was right.
- 23:43Speaker 2: So he draws the leadoff walk here in the ninth,
- 23:48Speaker 2: 8-3 New York. It's not exactly game-changing, but Fairchild's aboard.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Here's Daniel Schneeman. Craig Albert is now the rookie manager.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I think now, your ownership, you start looking at All right,
- 24:06Speaker 2: who's putting the team together? The pitch in their strike.
- 24:10Speaker 2: And are our prospects or young players as good as
- 24:14Speaker 2: we thought?
- 24:16Speaker 11: For a while there, you thought some of the best
- 24:17Speaker 11: in the game.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Sure did. Now the 0-1. Outside.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Now we talk about it a lot, one-on-one with young players.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Improvement's not guaranteed, and it's not linear.
- 24:32Speaker 1: So the Orioles..
- 24:34Speaker 2: A couple of years ago, you would have said their
- 24:36Speaker 2: future is unlimited, and their farm system was chock full.
- 24:41Speaker 1: The pitch waved at one and two.
- 24:47Speaker 11: And entries, they got the entry factor, and when they
- 24:49Speaker 11: came in here, man, they were decimated.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Now the one-two to Schneeman. Got him swinging at a
- 25:01Speaker 2: breaking ball. Well, and that's always why One down in
- 25:06Speaker 2: the ninth, two strikeouts. Bring up Austin Hutchins.
- 25:10Speaker 1: That's why you sometimes trade prospects.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I mean, nothing's a guarantee in life whether prospects become
- 25:20Speaker 2: what you think or whether the guy you trade for delivers.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Austin Hutchins, one for three, an RBI double.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Outside and low.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Cleveland played, paid at the time A staggering freight for
- 25:38Speaker 2: Andrew Miller. Two of the best prospects in the game
- 25:41Speaker 2: in Clint Frazier and Justice Sheffield, and they never panned out.
- 25:46Speaker 2: The 1-0 and a strike. And Andrew Miller, one of
- 25:51Speaker 2: the principal reasons there was a World Series here 10
- 25:54Speaker 2: years ago. And then you can show other trades that
- 25:58Speaker 2: took place like that, and prospects have come back to
- 26:01Speaker 2: haunt the team that traded them. Now the 1-1 pitch.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Swung on and drilled toward the gap and left center.
- 26:10Speaker 2: And this ball is off the wall again. Fairchild hits third.
- 26:15Speaker 2: He is coming home. And it's an RBI double for
- 26:19Speaker 2: Austin Hedges. And it's an 8-4 ballgame.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yankees up.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Boy, Hedges has pounded that 19-foot wall back-to-back games. Give
- 26:31Speaker 2: Hedges two doubles in. And two RBIs today. That one
- 26:38Speaker 2: off the wall and left center. And here's Brian Rocchio
- 26:44Speaker 2: batting right-handed. And Matt Blake, the pitching coach, heading to
- 26:49Speaker 2: the mound for New York.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Eight to four. Yankees in the ninth. The runner at second.
- 26:54Speaker 1: One down. Yeah, that's why it's... I think.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Too, Rosie, when we look at the trade deadline, we're
- 27:02Speaker 2: a long way away. The deadline this year is later
- 27:06Speaker 2: than a lot.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Of years, August 3rd.
- 27:10Speaker 2: But I think the spectrum of next season is looming
- 27:16Speaker 2: for decision makers.
- 27:18Speaker 1: So there's a lot that goes into this. It's easy
- 27:23Speaker 1: for us to play GM and say do this, do that.
- 27:28Speaker 1: It's a lot more involved.
- 27:29Speaker 11: We had a lot of guys traded on Sunday, remember?
- 27:32Speaker 1: You sure did.
- 27:34Speaker 11: And that's the thing. How early will teams try and
- 27:37Speaker 11: get going to take advantage of who they acquired?
- 27:40Speaker 2: Here's Brian Rocchio, runner at second, 8-4 New York. Rocchio
- 27:44Speaker 2: bangs one towards short, diving back in a grab by Volpe,
- 27:48Speaker 2: throw to third, and Hedges is tagged on. That would
- 27:53Speaker 2: have been a base hit. Volpe left his feet. To
- 27:58Speaker 2: make the play in the hole. And Hedges thought it
- 28:00Speaker 2: was going through. And tried to go to third. And
- 28:04Speaker 2: was out by a mile. So two down. Rocio has
- 28:08Speaker 2: a hit taken away. Becomes a fielder's choice. Top of
- 28:14Speaker 2: the order. Angel Martinez will bat right handed. Runner at first.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Two down. Eight to four. Yankees. And the pitch down
- 28:24Speaker 1: and in. Ball one. Roseanne talked to a GM from
- 28:28Speaker 1: another franchise here the other day. And he asked, obviously,
- 28:35Speaker 1: his name not be used. The 1-0.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Swung on, drilled to third. Leaping grab by McMahon. And
- 28:46Speaker 2: what did he tell me? We'll find out Friday night.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Final today, Yankees 8, Cleveland 4.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Ferb. I'm saying what everyone else won't
- 29:00Speaker 1: after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Final numbers here in downtown Cleveland. It was New York,
- 29:12Speaker 2: eight runs, 11 hits, one error, nine stranded. Cleveland, four runs,
- 29:16Speaker 2: six hits, two errors, six men left on base. Carlos
- 29:19Speaker 2: Rodon gets the win. He's 2-2. Parker Messick, the loss,
- 29:23Speaker 2: he's 6-3. Time of the game, 2 hours and 48 minutes.
- 29:29Speaker 2: 31,586 were on hand. So Cleveland, they are scuffling now.
- 29:34Speaker 2: They've got a four-game losing streak, and they have a
- 29:38Speaker 2: chance of being in second place. when they wake up
- 29:41Speaker 2: tomorrow because if the White Sox beat Atlanta tonight, then
- 29:45Speaker 2: they take over sole possession of first place. Cleveland now 37-33.
- 29:50Speaker 2: New York stays on top in the East, 41-26. Rosie's
- 29:58Speaker 2: got the wrap-up show. That's coming your way next. We
- 30:01Speaker 2: will greet you on Friday night when Cleveland and the
- 30:04Speaker 2: Detroit Tigers start the weekend series. Once again, the final today,
- 30:09Speaker 2: New York 8, Cleveland 4. This is Tom Hamilton. So long, everybody.

- 32:02Speaker 11: Good afternoon once again, everyone. Welcome back to Progressive Field
- 32:06Speaker 11: in downtown Cleveland. It's Guardians wrap-up. Jim Rosenhouse along with
- 32:09Speaker 11: you following an 8-4 Yankees win over the Guardians today
- 32:14Speaker 11: to complete a three-game series sweep. We will have all
- 32:18Speaker 11: the highlights and manager Stephen Vogt coming your way shortly,
- 32:22Speaker 11: but first a look at the out-of-town scores and a
- 32:24Speaker 11: very limited amount of action in Major League Baseball this afternoon.
- 32:28Speaker 11: Most of the action is tonight, but they did play
- 32:31Speaker 11: down at the Trop in St. Pete, and the Rays
- 32:34Speaker 11: won again. Withstanding a late rally by the Red Sox,
- 32:37Speaker 11: and Tampa Bay wins it by a final score of
- 32:39Speaker 11: 7-5 as they continue to remain just a step ahead
- 32:44Speaker 11: of the Yankees percentage points-wise atop the American League East.
- 32:48Speaker 11: They're in a virtual tie atop the division, both of
- 32:51Speaker 11: those teams, as Drew Rasmussen won his sixth game of
- 32:55Speaker 11: the season. And the rest of the action... It is
- 32:58Speaker 11: later on. The Reds and Padres will get started shortly.
- 33:01Speaker 11: Same with the Giants and Nationals. Actually, that game's underway
- 33:04Speaker 11: in San Francisco. They're in the top half of the
- 33:07Speaker 11: second inning, and there's no score between the Nationals and
- 33:11Speaker 11: the Giants. Right here, 8-4, the final score. The Yankees
- 33:14Speaker 11: win it. We'll have the highlights and manager Steven Vogt
- 33:17Speaker 11: when we return after this. Welcome back to Guardians Wrap-Up.
- 33:31Speaker 11: Our scores, by the way, that we went through in
- 33:33Speaker 11: our first segment, brought to you by your Northeast Ohio
- 33:36Speaker 11: Ford dealers. Guardians come up short today, 8-4 to the Yankees,
- 33:41Speaker 11: getting swept here in the three-game series at Progressive Field.
- 33:44Speaker 11: Promising start, though, this afternoon. As in a scoreless game,
- 33:48Speaker 11: bottom of the first facing their nemesis, Carlos Rodon. Angel
- 33:52Speaker 11: Martinez got things started quickly.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Carlos Rodon, 33 years of age, 6'2, 255. Fastball sinker, curve,
- 34:01Speaker 2: slider change. The pitch, and it's swung and ripped.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Deep left field. There she goes to the porch.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Angel Martinez with a second home run in this series.
- 34:17Speaker 1: He rips one to the porch and left.
- 34:20Speaker 2: He now leads Cleveland with 11 home runs, three of
- 34:24Speaker 2: them right-handed. And he jumped all over that.
- 34:29Speaker 1: And Cleveland, with a 1-0 lead, as.
- 34:35Speaker 2: It looked like he got a slider from.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Rodon and pounded it 406 feet to the porch and left.
- 34:45Speaker 11: But the lead did not last for the Guardians for long.
- 34:48Speaker 11: Parker Messick was on the mound and in the second
- 34:50Speaker 11: inning after back-to-back singles from Trent Grisham and Jose Caballero,
- 34:55Speaker 11: Josh Chisholm stood in and he tripled to drive in
- 34:59Speaker 11: a pair, give the Yankees the lead, and then he
- 35:02Speaker 11: scored when Anthony Volpe put a ball in play, but
- 35:04Speaker 11: an error by the second baseman, Travis Bazzana. allowed that
- 35:08Speaker 11: third run to score in a three-run second inning. 3-1
- 35:11Speaker 11: Yankees after two. But the Guardians would tie the game,
- 35:15Speaker 11: bottom of the fourth inning. Back-to-back walks to open the
- 35:17Speaker 11: inning for Bazana. And Stuart Fairchild, and then with one out,
- 35:22Speaker 11: Austin Hedges stepped in. The one-two to Hedges. Swung on, line,
- 35:26Speaker 11: right side, base hit down the right field line.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Pizzano will round third. He'll score easily on his way
- 35:33Speaker 2: to third. And holding there is Fairchild. Into second with
- 35:37Speaker 2: an RBI double. Austin Hedges. And the Guardians have pulled
- 35:42Speaker 2: it within one. It's now the Yankees three, Cleveland two.
- 35:47Speaker 11: On Hedges, fifth double, eighth run batted in on the season.
- 35:54Speaker 11: And it didn't take long for the Guardians to tie
- 35:56Speaker 11: it as they had runners at second and third after
- 35:58Speaker 11: that Hedges double. Brian Rocchio got the run in from
- 36:01Speaker 11: third with a sack fly, and that made it a
- 36:04Speaker 11: 3-3 game. So things were looking up, but in the
- 36:08Speaker 11: sixth inning, the Yankees would take the lead for good.
- 36:11Speaker 11: They got it done against Messick with a sack fly
- 36:14Speaker 11: by Jose Caballero. And then after the pitching change, Anthony
- 36:17Speaker 11: Volpe doubled off of Matt Festa, who allowed an RBI
- 36:21Speaker 11: single to Paul Goldschmidt as well. And that made it
- 36:25Speaker 11: a three-run sixth. And the Yankees had that 6-3 advantage.
- 36:29Speaker 11: They added two more in the seventh inning. An RBI
- 36:32Speaker 11: base hit by Caballero and Jazz Chisholm reaching on a
- 36:36Speaker 11: fielder's choice with a run scoring as well. The Guardians, though,
- 36:40Speaker 11: they did try to make a game of it in
- 36:41Speaker 11: the bottom half of the ninth inning. With a man aboard,
- 36:44Speaker 11: Austin Hedges continued a big day at the plate.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Now the 1-1 pitch. Swung on and drilled toward the
- 36:50Speaker 2: gap in left center. And this ball is off the
- 36:54Speaker 2: wall again. Fairchild hits third. He is coming home. And
- 36:59Speaker 2: it's an RBI double for Austin Hedges. And it's an
- 37:04Speaker 2: 8-4 ball game.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Yankees up.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Boy, Hedges has pounded that 19-foot wall back-to-back games.
- 37:14Speaker 11: But that would be it for scoring today as the
- 37:16Speaker 11: Yankees win it by that 8-4 final, and that is
- 37:19Speaker 11: your Honda Drive-It Home game summary. For the Yankees, eight runs,
- 37:24Speaker 11: 11 hits, one error. New York left nine men on base.
- 37:27Speaker 11: For the Guardians, four runs, six hits, two errors, six
- 37:31Speaker 11: men left stranded. The winning pitcher, Carlos Rodon, now 2-2
- 37:35Speaker 11: on the year. Parker Messick takes the loss, falling to 6-3.
- 37:39Speaker 11: Time of our game today was 2 hours and 48 minutes.
- 37:42Speaker 11: And the paid crowd on this Wednesday afternoon, 31,586. Stay
- 37:49Speaker 11: with us. When we come back, we'll hear from manager

- 39:56Speaker 11: Guardians come up short today, 8-4 to the Yankees. Let's
- 39:59Speaker 11: head downstairs and hear from manager Steven Vogt.
- 40:04Speaker 13: Parker's great.
- 40:06Speaker 10: It was really good to see bouncing back in Texas
- 40:10Speaker 10: where the stuff ticked down in the sixth. He held
- 40:13Speaker 10: his stuff for 100 pitches today. I thought he competed
- 40:17Speaker 10: and kept us in the game. They kind of jumped
- 40:20Speaker 10: him there in the second, and we didn't help ourselves
- 40:22Speaker 10: out either. But I thought he threw the ball excellent.
- 40:26Speaker 10: You know, I thought we battled against him, you know,
- 40:30Speaker 10: especially after the last game where he kind of shut
- 40:33Speaker 10: us down the whole time to get some things going,
- 40:35Speaker 10: score some runs. I mean, we were right in that
- 40:37Speaker 10: game for a long time, and I thought we had
- 40:40Speaker 10: really good at-bats today.
- 40:43Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, it was kind of a funky, you know,
- 40:45Speaker 11: it slipped in right field.
- 40:47Speaker 20: And.
- 40:54Speaker 10: You know, routine play that doesn't get converted. That that's
- 40:57Speaker 10: not who we are. It was very uncharacteristic. Like I said,
- 41:01Speaker 10: these games, those things happen. It's just frustrating when they do,
- 41:05Speaker 10: but they do happen.
- 41:06Speaker 21: Do you think a series like this where two games
- 41:09Speaker 21: are pretty close?
- 41:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought, I thought we played well. I thought
- 41:13Speaker 1: it was a well-played series. You know, we lost two
- 41:17Speaker 1: tough ones.
- 41:17Speaker 10: And then today, obviously, you know, they kind of expanded
- 41:22Speaker 10: to make it feel like it wasn't a good game,
- 41:23Speaker 10: but I thought we, Overall, we played well.
- 41:26Speaker 1: We were right in there. It's been a tough stretch.
- 41:28Speaker 1: It's been a tough nine-day stretch.
- 41:29Speaker 10: We've had a lot of close losses that could have
- 41:31Speaker 10: gone either way.
- 41:32Speaker 4: But we're going to learn from it.
- 41:34Speaker 10: So this is a really good experience for us. And
- 41:37Speaker 10: we're going to enjoy the off day and get ready
- 41:39Speaker 10: to go on Friday.
- 41:41Speaker 22: Is Anil's foot bothering him?
- 41:43Speaker 1: Is that why he's kind of slipped on the triple?
- 41:46Speaker 1: I think he just slipped. You know, it happens.
- 41:50Speaker 10: Maybe move a little quick to try and get the
- 41:51Speaker 10: ball in and don't have your feet completely under you.
- 41:54Speaker 10: You see it happen quite often, but yeah, his foot's
- 41:58Speaker 10: good and fine.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I guess he probably should eat that ball or resent it.
- 42:03Speaker 10: That's really hard in the moment. I mean, everything's going fast.
- 42:07Speaker 10: It's easy to say you should eat it, but I
- 42:09Speaker 10: think he tried to make a play.
- 42:13Speaker 11: That's manager Steven Vogt following an 8-4 loss. The Guardians
- 42:17Speaker 11: have now dropped four in a row, and they could
- 42:19Speaker 11: slip out of first place if the White Sox win
- 42:22Speaker 11: later tonight as the teams are now in a virtual
- 42:25Speaker 11: tie atop the American League's Central Division. Meanwhile, the Yankees,
- 42:29Speaker 11: same holds true for them. They're in second place right now,
- 42:32Speaker 11: but percentage points behind front-running Tampa Bay as they head
- 42:36Speaker 11: into an off day tomorrow as well. The Guardians off tomorrow.
- 42:40Speaker 11: They're back at it against the Tigers Friday night at 7-10,
- 42:43Speaker 11: and we'll get it started for you at 6-35 with
- 42:47Speaker 11: Guardians warm-up.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Until then..
- 42:50Speaker 2: For Brian Motze back at Command Center and, of course,
- 42:53Speaker 2: Tom Hamilton, this is Jim Rosenhouse reminding you the final
- 42:57Speaker 2: score today from Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland, the New
- 43:01Speaker 2: York Yankees 8 and the Cleveland Guardians 4. Have a
- 43:05Speaker 2: great night, everyone.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And from NewsRadio 570, Dodie Kivian and Ron Furb, 420
- 43:11Speaker 1: almost in the afternoon. It's a little bit hot and
- 43:13Speaker 1: humid out there, to say the least, 87 degrees. Welcome
- 43:16Speaker 1: to Wednesday, June 10th, where the Guardians got their Clock's
- 43:21Speaker 1: clean today by the Yankees. It was a little bit
- 43:25Speaker 1: ugly there, wasn't it? But anyway, a defeat nonetheless this afternoon. Welcome,
- 43:31Speaker 1: one and all. Enjoy this beautiful, hot, humid day. We'll
- 43:35Speaker 1: be with you until 7 tonight because of a baseball
- 43:38Speaker 1: game being an afternoon game. Solar power in the U.S.
- 43:43Speaker 1: has surpassed coal as a leading source of new power,
- 43:47Speaker 1: with solar supplying more electricity than coal for the first
- 43:50Speaker 1: time in May. Now, when you read that headline, that sounds, wow,
- 43:54Speaker 1: how about that? I want you to keep in mind
- 43:56Speaker 1: the war on coal that required, as I told you about,
- 44:00Speaker 1: with Clinton and Obama. Remember the war on coal where
- 44:05Speaker 1: they regulated coal plants so they could regulate them right
- 44:08Speaker 1: out of business, kept putting more regulations on them so
- 44:12Speaker 1: they would regulate them out of business, and then insisted
- 44:15Speaker 1: that they be torn down, insisted they be torn down.
- 44:19Speaker 1: So they leave that part of the equation out of
- 44:22Speaker 1: the story here. We've ripped down so many coal plants,
- 44:29Speaker 1: it's ridiculous. So now they're saying, hey, take a look.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Solar in the U.S. has surpassed coal as a leading
- 44:36Speaker 1: source of new power. Solar has become the third largest
- 44:39Speaker 1: source of electricity in the U.S. by natural gas and nuclear,
- 44:45Speaker 1: making a significant shift in the energy mix. despite federal
- 44:49Speaker 1: policies favoring coal. That's just started lately, incidentally. You didn't
- 44:55Speaker 1: have any federal policies favoring coal up until Trump just lately.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Solar power continues to grow with expectations of overtaking coal
- 45:04Speaker 1: on an annual basis in a few years. Solar and
- 45:08Speaker 1: battery storage are the primary energy resources being built, making
- 45:12Speaker 1: up 91% of all new generating capacity in the first quarter.
- 45:17Speaker 1: They say the growth of solar power is driven by affordability, scalability,
- 45:21Speaker 1: and abundance, leading to increased installations across all sectors in
- 45:25Speaker 1: the U.S. I do see a number of people, incidentally,
- 45:28Speaker 1: you see a lot more of it in Florida, but
- 45:31Speaker 1: I do see people that put these solar panels on
- 45:37Speaker 1: the roof. I see them around here. They're a lot
- 45:40Speaker 1: more prevalent in Florida, the Sunshine State, but you see
- 45:43Speaker 1: a lot of people that have these solar panels on
- 45:46Speaker 1: the roof. I don't know what it costs or what
- 45:49Speaker 1: the return is on it, but you see a number
- 45:51Speaker 1: of people with it. But does it pay off or not?
- 45:56Speaker 1: I couldn't tell you. Couldn't tell you. But I do
- 45:58Speaker 1: see it. I do see it. So we shall see. Incidentally,
- 46:03Speaker 1: I thought this was also interesting. I get to your
- 46:05Speaker 1: phone calls momentarily. China's passenger car exports surged 73% year
- 46:10Speaker 1: on year in May. to around 800,000 vehicles, with exports
- 46:21Speaker 1: of pure EVs and plug-in hybrids more than doubling to
- 46:26Speaker 1: about 435,000 units. Domestic passenger car sales in May dropped 23.4%
- 46:34Speaker 1: from a year earlier to 1.44 million vehicles, making a
- 46:39Speaker 1: seventh consecutive month of year-on-year declines. They're saying that as
- 46:46Speaker 1: fuel prices go up, as we've seen them go up,
- 46:51Speaker 1: and a potential for them to even go up higher
- 46:54Speaker 1: with this mess in the Middle East, that people are
- 46:58Speaker 1: starting now to look more seriously at EVs. Whether it's
- 47:02Speaker 1: something like the Prius, a hybrid that uses gas and electricity,
- 47:06Speaker 1: or these electric cars. China's largest EV maker sold over
- 47:14Speaker 1: 160,000 vehicles abroad in May, aimed at selling 1.5 vehicles
- 47:20Speaker 1: overseas this year, up more than 40% from last year's figures.
- 47:29Speaker 1: So there you have it. I mean, things are looking
- 47:33Speaker 1: good for the Chinese car companies and EVs. Because gas
- 47:38Speaker 1: prices are just out of control. And here we go again.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we had the Apache helicopter taken
- 47:45Speaker 1: down and Trump retaliating against it. So we're right back
- 47:50Speaker 1: to where when it comes to this situation, to the
- 47:53Speaker 1: original mess that was created with no end in sight.
- 47:56Speaker 1: We shall see. And it's something genuinely of concern as
- 48:02Speaker 1: this drags on, as this goes on. Now, what are
- 48:06Speaker 1: we almost at the midpoint of June? We shall see
- 48:10Speaker 1: what happens if this goes on into July and August.
- 48:15Speaker 1: What happens as far as oil prices, gas prices. And
- 48:19Speaker 1: you can't blame somebody from saying, okay, well, I'm going
- 48:22Speaker 1: to look at a hybrid. Or potentially an electric vehicle
- 48:25Speaker 1: all together, like a Tesla or something like that. If
- 48:28Speaker 1: it suits their needs to avoid the entire situation. Of course,
- 48:32Speaker 1: the cost of electricity has gone up as well. I
- 48:34Speaker 1: don't know that you can win. Just a few things
- 48:38Speaker 1: that I thought you should know. So we're getting more
- 48:40Speaker 1: electricity from solar than coal. China car exports jump as
- 48:46Speaker 1: fuel prices rise. Interest in EVs goes way up. Of course, Trump,
- 48:56Speaker 1: with the situation in Iran, we shall see what happens there.
- 49:04Speaker 1: As far as a peace deal is concerned, You know,
- 49:07Speaker 1: he keeps saying, well, this could be reached within the
- 49:09Speaker 1: next two or three days. But I've been hearing this
- 49:16Speaker 1: over and over and over again. And don't see anything
- 49:23Speaker 1: happening there. What else do I have for you? A
- 49:33Speaker 1: new Reuters poll shows that only 10% of Americans believe
- 49:38Speaker 1: the Trump administration has helped efforts to hold those involved
- 49:42Speaker 1: in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal accountable. The poll indicates that
- 49:46Speaker 1: only one in five respondents think people connected to Epstein
- 49:52Speaker 1: have been properly held accountable. Well, I'd like to meet
- 49:55Speaker 1: those one in five. They're idiots. Reflecting deep public distrust.
- 50:01Speaker 1: The release of the Justice Department documents earlier this year,
- 50:04Speaker 1: which included prominent figures like Donald Trump and Bill Gates,
- 50:09Speaker 1: has reignited the controversy, though no criminal charges have been filed.
- 50:14Speaker 1: You got Bill Gates is expected to be questioned. So
- 50:19Speaker 1: you got stuff going on there. So that's interesting.
- 50:22Speaker 2: All right.
- 50:22Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 50:23Speaker 5: Hello. How you doing, Ron?
- 50:25Speaker 1: I'm well. JJ, the liberal, starting it off.
- 50:28Speaker 5: How are you today, buddy?
- 50:29Speaker 1: I'm well. Thank you for asking. Go ahead.
- 50:31Speaker 5: It's a little warm out there today.
- 50:33Speaker 9: It is.
- 50:33Speaker 1: It's a little warm. It's a little humid. That's a
- 50:35Speaker 1: good thing, though.
- 50:36Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not too bad. It could be worse. It
- 50:40Speaker 5: could be raining or it could be snowing.
- 50:42Speaker 23: It could be hailing.
- 50:43Speaker 5: It could be bringing down nuclear warheads.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Exactly. Nuclear warheads. It's June. It's June, and June's a
- 50:50Speaker 1: good thing. I mean, you know, we expect some hot
- 50:52Speaker 1: weather this time of the year.
- 50:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I just miss spring. We go from winter to summer, unfortunately.
- 51:00Speaker 24: Yes.
- 51:04Speaker 5: You and I keep talking about this. We haven't talked
- 51:06Speaker 5: about it for a while, but I think this is
- 51:09Speaker 5: just a prime example of we would be slowly, slowly...
- 51:14Speaker 5: changing over to, not changing over completely, but starting to
- 51:18Speaker 5: interject or introduce, you know, the renewable energies. For the
- 51:23Speaker 5: simple reason is that we wouldn't be so much relying on,
- 51:26Speaker 5: not that, you know, we have our own way, we
- 51:30Speaker 5: have our own oil in a lot of ways, but
- 51:31Speaker 5: we still have to import a lot of them, like
- 51:33Speaker 5: you stated numerous times, that we don't have the facilities
- 51:36Speaker 5: to import. the change over some of that petroleum into
- 51:40Speaker 5: the different things that we need. So I think that
- 51:43Speaker 5: this is, you know, people can disagree, but I think
- 51:46Speaker 5: that this is an example of that, that if we
- 51:48Speaker 5: would be slowly transitioning into the renewable energy, and there's
- 51:53Speaker 5: many benefits to it. Again, now it's, I know a
- 51:56Speaker 5: lot of people are reluctant to do it, and, you know,
- 51:58Speaker 5: I still use gas and whatnot, but I just thought
- 52:01Speaker 5: that it would be something that we all can ponder
- 52:03Speaker 5: now that since we're in this predicament, that, you know,
- 52:08Speaker 5: maybe things would, we all can become a little bit
- 52:11Speaker 5: more flexible or at least more, you know, wanting to
- 52:15Speaker 5: be engaging in the idea of doing this because of
- 52:19Speaker 5: the situation. I don't know.
- 52:21Speaker 13: How you feel about that.
- 52:22Speaker 5: But, you know, one thing I wanted to say, that
- 52:25Speaker 5: guy who killed, the two teenagers, the one that killed the,
- 52:30Speaker 5: The black kid killed the white kid.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 52:32Speaker 5: I think what we need to do is we wait
- 52:34Speaker 5: to resolve it. Or not to resolve this, but maybe
- 52:37Speaker 5: one step that we can. This is just at least
- 52:39Speaker 5: my idea. Is that, you know, since we do have,
- 52:42Speaker 5: Rich was saying that some of it is true that
- 52:45Speaker 5: we lost that so-called nuclear family where the other fathers,
- 52:49Speaker 5: you know, father and mother, both of them have a big..
- 52:53Speaker 1: Stand by for me, buddy. Just stand by. That's a
- 52:56Speaker 1: good topic. I want to address it with you and more.
- 52:58Speaker 1: We're here tonight till 7. Ron Verb from the Kingdom
- 53:00Speaker 1: of Mahoney, welcome. So you bring up J.J. the Liberal,
- 53:06Speaker 1: the dependable one, always there for me. You bring up
- 53:09Speaker 1: about this situation with this kid that was stabbed yesterday.
- 53:12Speaker 1: So listen to this. His name is Anthony. The Carmelo
- 53:19Speaker 1: Anthony verdict draws anti-white rage and lies from radical Dem congresswoman,
- 53:26Speaker 1: angry activist. So listen to this. A Texas congresswoman is
- 53:30Speaker 1: leading the voice of online activists enraged over the guilty
- 53:34Speaker 1: verdict of Carmelo Anthony's murder trial and is spreading outright
- 53:40Speaker 1: lies and racially inflammatory rhetoric after the 19-year-old was sentenced
- 53:46Speaker 1: to 35 years in prison for stabbing Austin Metcalf to death.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Jasmine Crockett, of course, a rare radical Democrat elect in
- 54:01Speaker 1: deep red Texas, took to her podcast Tuesday after Tuesday's
- 54:06Speaker 1: verdict to make false claims about the trial and its
- 54:09Speaker 1: jury as she continued to stir up racial hatred.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Here it is.
- 54:14Speaker 1: I'm not necessarily convinced. Not that I could tell you
- 54:18Speaker 1: the name of one person on this jury that we
- 54:21Speaker 1: had 12 impartial white folk out of Collin County sitting
- 54:27Speaker 1: on a jury for this young black man, she said,
- 54:31Speaker 1: showing empathy for the convicted murderer. Her claim about the
- 54:35Speaker 1: jury is just false. Sources close to the trial confirmed that.
- 54:41Speaker 1: that the jury was not made up of only white people,
- 54:44Speaker 1: despite Crockett's claim, which has been parroted by activists online.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Of the 12 jurors, three were racial minorities, including Asian
- 54:53Speaker 1: and Indian, eight were women, and four were men. They
- 54:57Speaker 1: confirmed that of the 18 total jurors, including alternates, six
- 55:02Speaker 1: were minorities. The jury in the trial, which spanned nine days...
- 55:07Speaker 1: in collin county texas courthouse so right off the bat
- 55:12Speaker 1: now keep in mind this is this black kid was
- 55:16Speaker 1: in this tent that he didn't belong in okay they
- 55:18Speaker 1: asked him to leave a number of times they uh
- 55:21Speaker 1: this at some sporting event some track event or something
- 55:25Speaker 1: football events they asked him to leave he didn't belong
- 55:27Speaker 1: this was not uh his tent okay they The team's 10.
- 55:32Speaker 1: He was in it. He didn't belong there. They asked
- 55:33Speaker 1: him to leave. Time and time again, he decided not
- 55:36Speaker 1: to leave. So one of the kids, one kid pushed
- 55:39Speaker 1: him and said, you got to go. And that kid,
- 55:42Speaker 1: then you had the Carmelo Anthony pulled out a pocket
- 55:50Speaker 1: knife and stabbed the kid who pushed him right in
- 55:53Speaker 1: the chest, right in the heart and killed him. He
- 55:55Speaker 1: bled to death right there. So how is it racial
- 56:00Speaker 1: at all? I mean, what are we supposed to say? Oh,
- 56:04Speaker 1: what he did was OK because he's black and the
- 56:07Speaker 1: victim's white. Somehow this is racial. We're at the point
- 56:11Speaker 1: where African-Americans and some African-Americans can't realize. Wait a minute.
- 56:15Speaker 1: They asked the kid to leave. He didn't belong there.
- 56:18Speaker 1: They kept asking him to leave. So one of these
- 56:21Speaker 1: kids pushed him and this kid pulled out a knife
- 56:24Speaker 1: and stabbed him basically right in the heart. And we're
- 56:26Speaker 1: supposed to act like that's OK.
- 56:29Speaker 5: You know, the thing is, my issue is this. One,
- 56:35Speaker 5: if he was guilty, I don't know the intricate details.
- 56:39Speaker 5: I wasn't on the jury. But I do have to
- 56:42Speaker 5: disagree with the amount of time that he was given,
- 56:44Speaker 5: 35 years for a person that's that young. I mean,
- 56:47Speaker 5: now hear me out. I see a lot of times
- 56:49Speaker 5: that there are individuals that are older that get less time.
- 56:54Speaker 5: And again, my point is what I was going to
- 56:56Speaker 5: say earlier.
- 56:57Speaker 6: I think what we have a problem is is that.
- 56:59Speaker 5: In high school and even earlier in ages, we should
- 57:01Speaker 5: have in school, just like math, arithmetic, English, social sciences, whatever,
- 57:07Speaker 5: we have to have classes for problem solving and for
- 57:13Speaker 5: conflict resolving. Because kids at those ages, and again, I'm
- 57:18Speaker 5: not giving anybody a free pass, and I'm not making excuses,
- 57:22Speaker 5: their brains aren't functioning as mature like you and I,
- 57:26Speaker 5: where you and I can look at a situation..
- 57:27Speaker 1: Well, come on now. Tap the brakes here.
- 57:30Speaker 5: I'm just saying that we should have conflict resolutions where
- 57:33Speaker 5: they're younger.
- 57:34Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. Let me ask you something. At whatever
- 57:39Speaker 1: age this kid was, what were they... Okay, he's 19
- 57:44Speaker 1: years old, so he would have been, let's see, 17
- 57:48Speaker 1: maybe at the time. So did you think when you
- 57:51Speaker 1: were 17 years old that it was okay to stab
- 57:54Speaker 1: some kid with a knife in the heart?
- 57:55Speaker 23: Well, there you go.
- 57:57Speaker 5: My parents taught me how to resolve my conflicts, at
- 58:01Speaker 5: least attempted to at that age, to resolve my conflicts
- 58:04Speaker 5: without violence. And the thing is that I'm not giving
- 58:07Speaker 5: anybody a free pass. I'm just trying to understand one
- 58:11Speaker 5: person at that age. I'm not giving him any excuses. Ron,
- 58:13Speaker 5: please understand that, that he's guilty. He's got to do time.
- 58:17Speaker 5: I mean, I don't care if he's 13 years old.
- 58:19Speaker 5: He's got to do time. But I'm just saying.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Right. But hang on a second.
- 58:24Speaker 5: The victim is dead forever.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Their child is dead. So this kid gets sentenced to
- 58:33Speaker 1: 35 years because he murdered somebody. That family will grieve
- 58:38Speaker 1: for the rest of their lives because this kid basically
- 58:42Speaker 1: killed him right in front of his own brother and
- 58:44Speaker 1: these other people that were there. He's the instigator. The
- 58:48Speaker 1: African-American kid, it doesn't matter what his color is, was
- 58:52Speaker 1: where he didn't belong in this tent ever. whatever, this
- 58:55Speaker 1: team tent. He didn't belong there. He was asked to leave.
- 58:58Speaker 1: He wouldn't leave. They kept asking him to leave. Then
- 59:01Speaker 1: one of the guys pushes him and says, you got
- 59:03Speaker 1: to go. And he whips out a knife and stabs
- 59:05Speaker 1: the kid who pushed him in the heart. Now, I
- 59:07Speaker 1: don't give a damn. At 17, you know that story.
- 59:10Speaker 25: Wrong.
- 59:10Speaker 5: At 17, you know that's wrong. Of course I do.
- 59:15Speaker 13: Of course I do.
- 59:15Speaker 5: But the thing is that I'm just trying to look...
- 59:18Speaker 5: I'm not looking in a black and white sense or
- 59:22Speaker 5: in a racial sense in any way, shape, or form.
- 59:23Speaker 5: I'm looking at it in the sense that people at
- 59:26Speaker 5: that age, and even people that are... I'm going to
- 59:29Speaker 5: be 64 next month. People even my age don't know
- 59:31Speaker 5: how to resolve conflicts without... going head over heels crazy.
- 59:37Speaker 5: And I'm thinking that that's part of the thing that
- 59:39Speaker 5: we have to learn how to deal with conflicts without
- 59:43Speaker 5: resorting to him.
- 59:44Speaker 26: He got pushed.
- 59:46Speaker 5: First of all, he wasn't supposed to be there. I
- 59:47Speaker 5: understand that. He created this. It's like lighting the match.
- 59:51Speaker 5: He created that. But... If he would be taught in school,
- 59:55Speaker 5: whether he has no family that's guiding him, that if
- 59:59Speaker 5: he would be learning, he would learn how to handle
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: conflicts without violence. And again, maybe I'm a bleeding heart.
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: Maybe you guys are all going to hate me for this.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: I understand. I'm not saying he shouldn't do time. I'm
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: just saying that we should try to avoid this in
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: the future by teaching young people how to conflict, to
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: resolve the conflicts themselves. without violence. But I agree that that's...
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: And plus, they can't complain about the jury because you wadeered.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: His attorney had that opportunity to wadeer those jurors, and
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: he's the one that agreed with them with the prosecution
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: that those jurors are okay. So they can't really turn
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: around and now say, well, these jurors are all white
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: or these all jurors are racist or anything because he
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: had his opportunity His defense attorney had his opportunity to
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: ask questions to those jurors, respectable jurors, and then either
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: dismiss them or accept them. And that's on his attorney.
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: I'm not blaming the jurors. They're seeing something maybe differently
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: than I am, and they're listening to the trial. But
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: I just want to— because it all happens for all of
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: us that we've got to learn to deal with conflict differently.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: And I've got a hot head.
- 1:01:14Speaker 27: You know that.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: And I always have to turn around and take a
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: couple steps and a couple breathing exercises just to resolve mine.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: But I just really believe that we should try to
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: in the future to do that. And as I said,
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: I'm just trying to.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I got you. Sit tight for a second. I just
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: want everyone to hear the details here. All right. So
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: this Carmelo Anthony, he was 17 at the time. He
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: fatally stabbed another 17-year-old, this Austin Metcalf, at a Frisco,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Texas track meet. This was April 2nd in 2025. Now, okay,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: so Carmelo Anthony followed Metcalf into the Frisco Memorial High
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: School team tent during a rain delay, ignoring repeated requests
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: to leave, and ultimately stabbed Metcalf in the chest with
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: a knife. So here's some of the details. Anthony entered
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: the opposing team's tents uninvited and sat down, prompting Metcalf
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and several other student-athletes to ask him to leave around
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: 15 times they asked him to leave. Witnesses testified that
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Anthony refused to leave, used profane language, and replied, touch
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: me and see what happens while reaching inside his bag.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: After Metcalf shoved Anthony in the chest of In arms
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: to push him out of the tent area, Anthony pulled
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: out a knife and fatally stabbed Metcalf in the chest.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Metcalf tragically died in his twin brother's arms. Following the incident,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Anthony walked across the field and admitted to a school
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: resource officer, I'm not alleged, I did it. Anthony claimed
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: he acted in self-defense. A Texas jury rejected the self-defense
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: argument and found him guilty of first-degree murder, sentencing him
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: to 35 years in prison. In other words, they asked
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: him to leave 15 times, and he didn't leave. And
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: even if the kid pushed him to leave... why didn't
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: you leave then so so.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: They have to believe that the problem is that he
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: continued to uh... that they're debauchee to continue to instigated
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: to antagonize them by saying you're going to push me
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: and see what happens he had he knew that if
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: he did that going to happen he should antagonize that
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: other kid to take action and to push him which
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: under those circumstances hey i'm defending my by territory that
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: that's and and and and his claim of self-defense is
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: out the window. He shouldn't even... He's through himself on
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: the mercy of the court because that didn't work, and
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: it would have not worked with me. So I did
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: not know that, and I still think that he should
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: be found guilty. First-degree murder, and that's kind of touchy
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: because even though he said that, you know, that to
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: touch me, see what happens, his mindset was there that
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: if he does touch him, he knew that he was
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: going to use that knife. So I agree with that,
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: that that's... But again... He should have not gone over there.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: He was looking for a problem. And that's where I'm
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: trying to say, at one point, he should have learned
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: somehow we should try to help these, not just black
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: and white kids, to be able to realize you're doing
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: something wrong. You have to understand the ramifications to what
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: the actions you're taking, and that if somebody else takes
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: those actions against you, whether they're right, wrong, or deserved...
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: that you have to pay those consequences. So I am
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: in no way, shape, or form giving him a free pass.
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: I just think the 35 years is a little bit long,
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: even though he did kill somebody.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Well, what should I... Okay, so what, in your opinion,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: would have been a just sentence?
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: 20 years with possibility of parole in 18, 15 to 18.
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: Depending upon what he did in prison, if he turns
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: out to be a gangbanger, then he's doing life. But
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: if he realizes maybe through some things, organization in the
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: prison where it helps him get an education, continuous education,
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: he becomes a better person somehow. People do make mistakes
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: and then are horrible people and they change. Now, again,
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: if he would do that, then I'd say maybe 15
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: to 20 years. If he could be a possible benefit
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: to society, then maybe we can possibly look at it.
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: But 35 years, again, he's my age when he's getting
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: out of his life. He's over just like the person
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: he murdered. So, again, it's a very, very heated situation,
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: and I feel bad for everybody, especially the kid that
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: was lying there dying. And I'm not— as you said, it's
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: something that I wish— That it would be different, you know,
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: because both the lives are just ruined now because of
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: his actions. And it's unacceptable. But again, the 35 years
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: seems pretty harsh because I've seen people that murdered children
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: and it got pushed on that. But anyway, I understand
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: people's anger there. And it's well-adjusted, but I don't believe
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: people should protest.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: They want to make it into a black-white issue because
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: the stabbing was black and a kid that's a victim
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: is white. And it was heard by a jury. And
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: a jury made the decision of, guess what? You shouldn't
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: have pulled out a knife and stabbed him basically in
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: the heart and killed him right then and there. This
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: has nothing to do with black and white. It is,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: as you identified, a kid who didn't belong there. They
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: asked him to leave. He wouldn't leave. Then when the
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: kid shoved him to leave, it doesn't mean that you
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: come back and stab him. It means you leave. This
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: isn't your team tent. Get out.
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: Because he said what you said in the paper, that
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: he said, touch me and see what happens.
- 1:06:53Speaker 26: Yes.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: So he knew in the back of his mind, if
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: he touches me, I have my pocket knife on him.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: I'm going to attack him.
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: And that was where he could be considered and should
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: be considered first degree. But, again, I'm on a teetering
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: right there where, you know, I– He's got to do
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: the time. But again, 35 years is an awful lot
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: of time. But again, I'm upset, too, that he killed this.
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: And if that was my son or if it was
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: my brother, I don't think I'd be too— I think 35
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: years might be appropriate. So it depends on— and I just
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: feel bad that— feel horrible that that had happened. But we
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: need to give these people, all children and all even individuals, adults—
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: You just got to learn to deal with conflicts. And again,
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: I'm learning as I'm getting older, too, but we can't
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: resolve to the violence just automatically just because somebody pushes you,
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: you're going to pull out a gun or a knife
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: and kill somebody. That's not good. And I've seen a
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: lot of young people around nowadays, and I'm sure you
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: have to agree, and I see it on YouTube, these
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: kids are nuts. And, you know, whether it's lack of parenting,
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: whatever it might be, it needs to be adjusted. But
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: the other thing is that we need to start to
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: look into renewable energy. And I know it takes time,
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: but we should not get away from coal right now.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: We should just slowly transition because... we always talk about
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: our children and having the opportunity to be able to
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: have a future. If we continue to do the things
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: that we're doing, they're not going to have a future.
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: And I, and I really, and you know me, I'm
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: a bleeding heart. I just think that there's, we can
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: resolve these problems.
- 1:08:31Speaker 13: We're human beings.
- 1:08:31Speaker 23: We're not dumb.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: And so I thank you for listening, my friend, and
- 1:08:34Speaker 5: I appreciate you, you countering me and having a discussion
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: with me about this.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: You got it. JJ, the liberal always there after the
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: guardians game, getting things rolling. He's sincere. He means it's, 330-729-9977.
- 1:08:46Speaker 28: 330-729-9977.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: We'll get you through to us on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. U.S.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: equities fell today. Where is Fort Lauderdale, Frank, man? I
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: got to track down Fort Lauderdale Frank sometime today and
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: get his take on what's going on as far as
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: oil in the stock markets. Because you had a down
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: day on the market today. Dow drops more 900 points.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: As chips sell off worsens, Trump threatens more Iran attacks.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: We'll be back.
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:09:22Speaker 14: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: And Heidi Ho, 454 on a Wednesday, June 10th. We're
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: sitting with 87 Degrees. Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoney.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Till 7 o'clock tonight. Guardians big loss today to the Yankees.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Wasn't even close. So we'll be with you till 7.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Hannity at 7. News Radio 570 WKBN. You're on the air.
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: Ron.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:09:45Speaker 29: I wasn't even going to call in today. No politics.
- 1:09:50Speaker 29: I'm talking about this case with Carmelo Anthony.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:09:53Speaker 29: Listen, CJ, seriously. I mean, this is cut and dry.
- 1:09:58Speaker 29: Did you kill somebody?
- 1:10:00Speaker 13: Yes or no?
- 1:10:01Speaker 29: There's no if-then statement. There's no..
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: You killed somebody.
- 1:10:07Speaker 29: You killed another kid. I don't care if you're black, Chinese,
- 1:10:10Speaker 29: Puerto Rican, Mexican. I don't care. If you killed my son,
- 1:10:13Speaker 29: I want the death penalty. As a matter of fact,
- 1:10:16Speaker 29: 30 years, 35, that's a joke to me. You want
- 1:10:19Speaker 29: to give him 18 with the promise of parole? No,
- 1:10:23Speaker 29: I want you to die. I want you to die.
- 1:10:25Speaker 29: If you killed my son, I don't care if you're black, Chinese, Asian.
- 1:10:30Speaker 29: I don't care if you're Italian. I want you dead.
- 1:10:32Speaker 29: What is all this? It's not a race thing. It
- 1:10:37Speaker 29: has nothing to do with race. This is the dumbest
- 1:10:39Speaker 29: even conversation ever. Why would... What makes this..
- 1:10:44Speaker 13: Seriously.
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: I am lacking..
- 1:10:49Speaker 29: I am struggling to understand even where anybody would even
- 1:10:52Speaker 29: have another opinion on this one. It wasn't self-defense.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Right. I mean, as I said, they asked him to leave.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: They said 15 times. Then when he didn't do that,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: so the kid pushed him... And the kid whipped out
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: a knife. And instead of leaving, pushed him and said, hey,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: you got to get out of here. Instead of just
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: leaving like he should have in the first place, he
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: whips out a knife and he stabs the kid to death.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: I mean, I think JJ's argument, I think, is you're
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: dealing here with a 17-year-old kid who's just doesn't.
- 1:11:23Speaker 29: Who was just tried as an adult, and he wanted
- 1:11:25Speaker 29: to play big boy games, and he got a big
- 1:11:27Speaker 29: boy penalty.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: Okay?
- 1:11:30Speaker 29: And 17, if you don't know that a proper response
- 1:11:32Speaker 29: to a sub isn't a stab, then what do you
- 1:11:36Speaker 29: want me to say to that?
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Right, but how come we always look at the person
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: that did the crime? Why don't we think about the victim?
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: The victim's dead forever. What about the victim's family?
- 1:11:49Speaker 29: He was where he wasn't supposed to be. And you
- 1:11:54Speaker 29: know what? Honestly, I don't even want to get into
- 1:11:56Speaker 29: that because that's irregardless.
- 1:11:57Speaker 27: It's regardless. It's regardless. Who cares?
- 1:11:59Speaker 29: I don't even care what was said. I don't care
- 1:12:01Speaker 29: even if the words were vile that were exchanged. That
- 1:12:05Speaker 29: means nothing. They break my bones. I mean, they never
- 1:12:10Speaker 29: heard that. You know, I mean, who cares? I don't
- 1:12:12Speaker 29: even care what was said. I don't even care if
- 1:12:14Speaker 29: the white kid said you're this, you're that. I don't
- 1:12:17Speaker 29: even care. It's the black kid said.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Listen, boss lady, here's a key question. Gee, okay, so
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: you have a lot of people who want to make
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: it a racial issue because the kid who stabbed him
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: was black and the kid who got... who was killed
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: was white, and they want to act like he got
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: a raw deal because they found him guilty. Let me
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: ask you, what do you think they would do if
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: it was the other way around? If the kid that
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: did the stabbing was white and the kid that got
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: stabbed and died was black, do you think they'd be
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: out protesting?
- 1:12:47Speaker 29: No, they wouldn't.
- 1:12:50Speaker 20: No, they wouldn't.
- 1:12:50Speaker 29: And they assume, they're making the assumption that white people
- 1:12:54Speaker 29: are racist who agree with the verdict.
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: That is bull.
- 1:12:58Speaker 29: That is nonsense. I don't agree. First of all, I
- 1:13:02Speaker 29: don't think the verdict is harsh enough. I don't think
- 1:13:04Speaker 29: it's harsh enough because if you killed my son, I
- 1:13:07Speaker 29: would want the death penalty.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: There you go.
- 1:13:12Speaker 29: You want him out when he's what? You want him
- 1:13:14Speaker 29: to get out when he's what? 30, mid-30s?
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I'm telling you this, folks. I do not want to
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: get on the bad side of the boss lady. You
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: hear me, all of you listening? I would never want
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: to get on her bad side. I'm glad you called,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: and I'm glad you didn't hesitate, because you make a
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: great contribution. Thank you, boss lady. I'll be right back
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: after this.
- 1:13:39Speaker 14: From ABC News.
- 1:13:41Speaker 30: I'm Lindsay Davis, anchor of Prime, streaming weeknights on ABC
- 1:13:44Speaker 30: News Live. Just two days after President Trump declared that
- 1:13:47Speaker 30: the U.S. would have total victory over Iran in two weeks,
- 1:13:50Speaker 30: Israel's defense minister says the campaign against Iran is far
- 1:13:53Speaker 30: from over. There are more defiant comments from Iranian officials.
- 1:13:57Speaker 30: New air attacks between the U.S.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: And Iran.
- 1:13:59Speaker 30: President Trump now ordering retaliation for Iran shooting down a U.S.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Army helicopter.
- 1:14:04Speaker 30: The renewed action led to higher oil prices today, with
- 1:14:07Speaker 30: Wall Street stock indexes closing sharply lower. And the president
- 1:14:10Speaker 30: said the U.S. would attack Iran again today.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Attacking them very hard.
- 1:14:16Speaker 30: ABC's Karen Travers at the White House.
- 1:14:18Speaker 31: It's not clear what the president is going to do.
- 1:14:20Speaker 31: Those strikes that were in response to the Iranians taking
- 1:14:23Speaker 31: down that Apache helicopter were said to be proportional.
- 1:14:27Speaker 29: That was according to U.S.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: Officials.
- 1:14:29Speaker 31: But now today, the president indicating that there could be
- 1:14:32Speaker 31: more to come. But he says that is because the
- 1:14:34Speaker 31: Iranians have taken too long to negotiate.
- 1:14:37Speaker 30: President Trump on social media says a secret mission last
- 1:14:40Speaker 30: month allowed hundreds of oil tankers to travel through the
- 1:14:43Speaker 30: Strait of Hormuz This after reporters at the White House
- 1:14:46Speaker 30: asked about the latest Consumer Price Index showing the highest
- 1:14:48Speaker 30: inflation in three years.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: I love the inflation. You know why?
- 1:14:52Speaker 21: Because as soon as this war is over, you know,
- 1:14:55Speaker 21: I can say it now, something you didn't know.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Do you know we've been taking out millions of barrels
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: of oil?
- 1:15:02Speaker 30: So far, no confirmation of a secret oil transport operation.
- 1:15:05Speaker 30: Analyst Stephen Cates at Bankrate doesn't see the current inflation
- 1:15:09Speaker 30: as short term.
- 1:15:10Speaker 9: I think that we may start to settle more. you know,
- 1:15:13Speaker 9: into a bit of a high level, higher for longer here.
- 1:15:17Speaker 9: So I don't think that we're necessarily going to keep
- 1:15:19Speaker 9: accelerating at this pace, but we're going to have inflation
- 1:15:22Speaker 9: that's elevated for the duration of this conflict.
- 1:15:24Speaker 30: President Trump signed into law a $ 70 billion funding bill
- 1:15:28Speaker 30: for immigration enforcement, including ICE. Game four of the NBA
- 1:15:31Speaker 30: finals tonight. The New York Knicks lead the San Antonio Spurs.
- 1:15:34Speaker 30: You're listening to ABC News.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: From the kingdom of Mahoning, Ron Verb on News Radio
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. 87 degrees on this Wednesday afternoon. Guardians go
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: down to defeat on an afternoon game. And we'll be
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: with you until 7 tonight. Then the usual lineup at 7.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: Sean Hannity takes over. Jesse Kelly now at 10 o'clock.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Doing a great program. And then coast to coast overnight.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN. I'm glad the boss lady calls
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: when she said, I wasn't going to call today. But
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you know what I like? I like her passion on
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: these topics because she just lays it all out there, saying, listen, man,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: what about looking at it from the other aspect? What
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: if your son was the victim here? What would you
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: think about it in that sense? You're on the air.
- 1:16:21Speaker 20: Well, I've got to apologize. I'm not going to be
- 1:16:24Speaker 20: able to offer quite that much passion on.
- 1:16:27Speaker 13: A phone call. Right.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I mean, listen, if you do your usual mediocre phone call,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: we're just pleased with that, okay?
- 1:16:35Speaker 20: I'm just waiting for you to get pulled off the
- 1:16:37Speaker 20: air with me calling in.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Well, you are the unknown caller.
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:16:43Speaker 20: But, well, I think it was while JJ was talking,
- 1:16:46Speaker 20: you guys were talking about the kid knew he had
- 1:16:49Speaker 20: a knife on him, and my wife pointed out the fact,
- 1:16:52Speaker 20: she goes, well, that's premeditated then. He knew he had
- 1:16:56Speaker 20: a weapon, and that just makes it premeditated at that point.
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: Plus, you were saying..
- 1:17:04Speaker 20: That it was a twin brother that got killed?
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: His twin brother was there to hold his brother as
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: he was dying.
- 1:17:13Speaker 20: So, I mean, how awful is that? I mean, for
- 1:17:16Speaker 20: the brother, you know how they always say that twins
- 1:17:19Speaker 20: are really close anyhow. So just for the twin brother,
- 1:17:22Speaker 20: and then for the parents, every time they see, you know,
- 1:17:26Speaker 20: the other brother that's still living, they think of the
- 1:17:29Speaker 20: one that died. That's got to be just horrible. So, yeah,
- 1:17:34Speaker 20: this kid, like you said, at 17, this kid knew
- 1:17:38Speaker 20: better than to kill somebody. Most normal people do. And
- 1:17:44Speaker 20: with the whole BLM thing, you know.
- 1:17:46Speaker 25: The Black Lives Matter, if black lives really mattered, then
- 1:17:51Speaker 25: maybe the black fathers would stick around and raise their
- 1:17:54Speaker 25: kids to not go around stabbing people.
- 1:17:57Speaker 24: I think it's 75% of black..
- 1:18:01Speaker 20: Children don't have a father in the house. So if
- 1:18:05Speaker 20: they really mattered, if black lives really mattered, why don't
- 1:18:08Speaker 20: the fathers stick around and raise them? Well, what's the
- 1:18:12Speaker 20: answer to the question there, Ron? I have no clue.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Listen, actually, I thought JJ the liberal made a good point.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: He said that part of the problem here is somewhere
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: along the line, this kid didn't realize how to behave.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Somewhere along the line, this kid, when they asked him
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: to leave, he decided he didn't have to leave. The
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: rules didn't apply to him. It wasn't his, his team's tent.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: He seemed to think that he had every right to
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: stay and no one had a right to tell him
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: to leave. And then he seemed to think that if
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: this kid pushed him out, that the answer was to
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: stab him.
- 1:18:48Speaker 20: So, uh, Directly to my point, like you knew better
- 1:18:53Speaker 20: at 17. I knew better at 17. I had a
- 1:18:56Speaker 20: dad that, you know, was in the home and raised me.
- 1:18:59Speaker 20: There was discipline.
- 1:19:01Speaker 24: There's no discipline.
- 1:19:02Speaker 20: And you're not going to, like JJ was saying, put
- 1:19:05Speaker 20: some kind of a course in school where you learn,
- 1:19:08Speaker 20: you know, consequences. No, that ain't going to work. At
- 1:19:11Speaker 20: that point, it's just too late. You have to be
- 1:19:14Speaker 20: able to have control of your children, discipline them, raise
- 1:19:19Speaker 20: them the right way. And a lot of it is
- 1:19:23Speaker 20: like religion getting out of schools and that. But, I mean,
- 1:19:27Speaker 20: that's a totally different subject. But, I mean, 17 years old,
- 1:19:33Speaker 20: like you said, he should know better. than to, you know,
- 1:19:37Speaker 20: pull out a knife and stab somebody in the heart.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: Right, right. So why do you think that kid thought
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: that way?
- 1:19:48Speaker 20: Obviously, he didn't have... He was never taught discipline in
- 1:19:55Speaker 20: his home.
- 1:19:57Speaker 13: It's just..
- 1:19:59Speaker 20: I could go on, but I better not.
- 1:20:01Speaker 24: But, hey..
- 1:20:05Speaker 20: I'll change the subject real quick, all right?
- 1:20:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:20:08Speaker 20: Yesterday, you were talking about another sad story, the woman
- 1:20:12Speaker 20: in the nursing home.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:20:16Speaker 20: But a lot of times, the medications they give you,
- 1:20:20Speaker 20: I don't know if it's opioids or what, but they
- 1:20:23Speaker 20: cause constipation.
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:20:26Speaker 20: I mean, that should be something that's checked on regularly.
- 1:20:29Speaker 20: I mean, I've known people that had surgery. I've had surgery.
- 1:20:34Speaker 20: And it's a problem, you know?
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Even sometimes when you call, even though you don't have surgery,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: sometimes when you call, I can sense that you're constipated.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I mean, just on talking to you here, you know,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: I'm concerned. I said, boy, the unknown caller, he sounded
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: like he was constipated on his call. Now, you're talking
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: about this story. Let me just bring people up to
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: speed that missed it yesterday because this is a serious
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: issue in all reality. So you had a woman... that
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the estate is suing this nursing home in Trumbull County.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: The suit states that this woman had back surgery and
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: hospitalization went smoothly, and her attending surgeon and treating doctors
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: expected the woman to make a full recovery, return to
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: living independently at home after a short course of rehabilitation. Now,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: this woman was 60 years old. The suit states that
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: the woman was prescribed pain medication by her treating doctors
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: to reduce the pain from her broken vertebrae in surgery,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: and that the defendant knew that these medications can cause
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: severe constipation. Well, under the defendant's care, so she's in
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: this nursing home, all right? Well, under the defendant's care
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: and supervision late March through early May 2025, the defendant
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: failed meaning the nursing home, failed to monitor this woman
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: for signs and symptoms of constipation, missing completely that the
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: woman had not had a bowel movement for several weeks.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: So she had back surgery. They put her on, obviously,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: pain pills, which can make you constipated. They knew that
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: that's why she went to this nursing facility to rehab.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: She's 60 years old, and no one notices that she
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: hasn't had a bowel movement for weeks. And she's supposed
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: to recover from this back surgery. And as a result
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: of that, she died. You know, so they say before
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: she died, she developed. Listen to this. She was nausea
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: and vomiting and was not acting like her usual self,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: becoming withdrawn and lethargic. When family members saw her in
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: serious distress, they insisted that the staff call an ambulance
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: and take her to St.
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: Joe's.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: At the hospital, she was diagnosed with severe fecal impaction,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: which resulted in stretching and compressing of the walls of
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: her colon, resulting in a portion of her colon losing
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: blood flow and dying off. She suffered a colon perforation,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: causing feces and bacteria to leak into her abdomen, leading
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: to infection and life-threatening medical emergency. During surgery, her entire
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: colon was removed. And she remained extremely ill and unstable
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and died the next day. So that's the story. So
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: you got a woman that got back surgery, 60 years old,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: goes to a rehab facility, is on pain pills because
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: of the operation that can cause you to get constipated,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: as pain pills do. The nursing home apparently knows that.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: And no one notices or keeps charts that she hasn't
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: had a bowel movement for weeks. And in turn, it
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: blows out her colon. And she dies as a result
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: of that? Is there any wonder why there should be
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: a lawsuit? She was 60 years old, supposed to recover
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: from all this.
- 1:23:53Speaker 13: Right.
- 1:23:54Speaker 23: What's the red flag warning?
- 1:23:55Speaker 20: Like four days without a bowel movement for somebody that's
- 1:23:59Speaker 20: 60 after surgery? I mean, there should be some kind
- 1:24:03Speaker 20: of checks and balances on all this.
- 1:24:05Speaker 25: Right.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: I mean, it's true.
- 1:24:06Speaker 20: They measure urine output when they give you fluids in
- 1:24:13Speaker 20: your veins and stuff.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: Right. But I mean, it's clear to me, it would
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: seem to me that people just weren't paying attention. Is
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: anybody charting anything? Does anybody care? I mean, a lot
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: of times these rehab places, I don't know about this
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: particular one, the people are underpaid, they're short-staffed, there's too
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: many patients. But if you sent your 60-year-old person to
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: rehab at a place that had back surgery and and
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: they know they are on pain pills and they can
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: get constipated from it. And no one checks to see
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: that she hasn't had a bowel movement for weeks. Wouldn't
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: you scratch your head and say, this is why she died.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: And who's going to be held accountable for that. When
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I read stories like that, it's just frightening because it
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: could happen to anybody. When you, when you hear stories
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: like what, what happens to some senior citizens and how
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: they're treated in some of these facilities and I know
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Christine Oliver, who's running for a commissioner in Monning County,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: and what she says happened to her mother in one
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: of these facilities is eye-opening. You know, and she has
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: a lawsuit there as a result of it. I mean,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: you pay top dollar, you should be getting compassionate care,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: attentive care.
- 1:25:29Speaker 20: It should be like common knowledge, you know, about the
- 1:25:33Speaker 20: whole pain pills, causing constipation. I mean, if you went
- 1:25:37Speaker 20: to a mechanic and The guy didn't realize that your
- 1:25:40Speaker 20: car doesn't have oil.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:25:42Speaker 20: It should be just a basic thing going on there.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:25:46Speaker 20: But, Ron, I am not constipated.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: It sounds like you are. I'm going to probably have
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: to put you on a laxative. You sound like you
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: could be constipated to me.
- 1:26:00Speaker 20: If I was constipated, Ronnie, I wouldn't have to go,
- 1:26:03Speaker 20: but I got to go.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: Well, when you say you got to go, do you
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: have to go-go or never mind?
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 1:26:10Speaker 23: Ron Burr, Billy Goat. How you doing, buddy?
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: It's the man with the former Billy Goat beard who
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: looks a thousand percent better, folks. Now he shaved that
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: thing off. He's thin. He's handsome. He's much better as
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: a result of it. He doesn't look like a freak.
- 1:26:25Speaker 23: That's what my old shop foreman used to call me,
- 1:26:27Speaker 23: a freak.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:26:29Speaker 24: That's funny.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: Now you're back to normal.
- 1:26:31Speaker 24: You hit that one on the nose.
- 1:26:32Speaker 23: Well, I called to ask for a little prayer, Ron,
- 1:26:35Speaker 23: when you kneel down beside your bedside at night and
- 1:26:38Speaker 23: put your little mic cap on and you're nighty.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:26:41Speaker 23: Pray for me because I'm having my hernia surgery July 14th.
- 1:26:44Speaker 24: Keep me in your prayers.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: Now, once you have this done, you have to do
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: some rest and rehabilitation. What do they say? You can't
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: lift anything heavier than a milk jug for a period
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: of time.
- 1:27:03Speaker 23: I think I might have told you it's all liposcopic,
- 1:27:05Speaker 23: so they're going to go in with a scope and
- 1:27:06Speaker 23: put the mesh in. Now, the surgeon is out at
- 1:27:10Speaker 23: Cleveland Clinic. He tells me at the two-week recovery time,
- 1:27:13Speaker 23: and In two weeks, I'll be able to return back
- 1:27:16Speaker 23: to work on light duty and only lift maybe, I
- 1:27:19Speaker 23: don't know, 10, 15 pounds. So we'll see what happens.
- 1:27:22Speaker 23: Just keep me in your prayers because I'm not a
- 1:27:24Speaker 23: big fan of the anesthesia and not a big fan
- 1:27:26Speaker 23: of knowing things. Plus, the plus side, I'll be out,
- 1:27:29Speaker 23: but they're also going to put a breathing tube down
- 1:27:32Speaker 23: me so they can control my breathing. So I'm not,
- 1:27:35Speaker 23: you know, I mean, getting a scope put through me,
- 1:27:39Speaker 23: I don't care. You know, that don't bother me, but
- 1:27:41Speaker 23: the anesthesia and all that, and hopefully everything goes well.
- 1:27:44Speaker 23: They only say it's about an hour of surgery.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but here's the rub, and I want you to
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: remember this. The man without the Billy Goat beard, even
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: though it's laparoscopic, it's still surgery. I think people often get...
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: Where they don't view it as serious as if we
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: cut you open. It's still surgery, and you're still having
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: a major procedure done, so don't discard that because of technology.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: And the reality is... they'll fix it. And even though
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: they said it's a two-week recovery, I would say to you,
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: you should be very cognizant of not trying to lift
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: too much for a much longer period of time than
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: what you're told. You do not want to go through
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: this again. You don't want the surgery to fail. So
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: I would not be lifting a lot of stuff. What
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: were you doing that caused this in the first place?
- 1:28:36Speaker 23: Well, Ron, to be honest with you, I don't even know.
- 1:28:39Speaker 23: So of course, you know, I work at a manufacturing plant,
- 1:28:43Speaker 23: so I do a lot of lifting, a lot of straining.
- 1:28:47Speaker 23: There's a lot of things in my job where I
- 1:28:49Speaker 23: have to overreach and strain and And believe it or not,
- 1:28:53Speaker 23: what happened was I was just stepping off the tow motor,
- 1:28:56Speaker 23: and I got the sharp pain in my groin, and
- 1:28:58Speaker 23: it took me to my knees. And I drove the
- 1:29:02Speaker 23: tow motor back inside and went in the bathroom and
- 1:29:05Speaker 23: undone my drawers, and there it was bulging out. And
- 1:29:09Speaker 23: at first I thought maybe it was a pulled muscle,
- 1:29:12Speaker 23: and my shop foreman said right off the bat, he's like, dude,
- 1:29:14Speaker 23: you got a hernia. And I waited. I waited until
- 1:29:18Speaker 23: Wednesday because I came home for the Memorial Day weekend.
- 1:29:22Speaker 23: It was fine. You didn't know it was there. There
- 1:29:24Speaker 23: was just a little bump there. It was fine.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: I went back to work on Wednesday. It can cause
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: you a major problem and infection if you don't get
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: that addressed. Oh, yeah.
- 1:29:36Speaker 23: Well, it's being addressed. I went and seen the surgeon
- 1:29:39Speaker 23: and got this. And it's also a workman's comp issue, so.
- 1:29:43Speaker 23: The surgery is scheduled and just waiting on workman's comp
- 1:29:46Speaker 23: to approve it.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Absolutely. But I'm going to tell you once again, first
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: of all, I'm going to wish you the very best.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: And you're right. A lot of times anesthesia is the
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: most dangerous part of a procedure. But with that being said,
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: I'm going to wish you the very best. And I
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: want you to call me and let me know how
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: the outcome is. And I want to make sure you
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: take it easy for a period of time.
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:30:09Speaker 7: Yeah. Definitely.
- 1:30:10Speaker 23: Definitely going to be changing my ways.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Thank you, my friend. And guess what? In all seriousness,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: I will be concerned about the man with the Billy
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: Goat beard, formerly the man with the Billy Goat beard. Because,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's a strange relationship you get
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: with people here that you talk to with our regular
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: callers and so many callers that aren't even regular callers,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: aren't irregular callers as well as regular callers. It's a
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: strange relationship that you get. But I will genuinely be
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: concerned about him. And I do want him to touch
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: base when this is done and let me know how
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: his road to recovery is going. And that's why I
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: say to him, a lot of times when you, like
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: when they take your gallbladder out and they used to
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: have to cut you open and now they can do
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: it laparoscopically. And it's like, oh, you got these cuts. Well,
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: it was still, the surgery still happened. It's just technology.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: You still got to take it easy and recover from it.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: And as I said to him, Okay, well, don't just
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: go back and start lifting heavy stuff two months later.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: I mean, sometimes you get into these problems because you're
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: too stubborn to ask for help. This is too heavy.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: I'm going to try lifting it by myself. Or you
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: just don't ask for help. And sometimes you need to
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: ask for help. Because back problems are just a bugger
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: to deal with. I mean, you can get a major
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: back problem. You can get a hernia. so many problems
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: that you can get as a result of just not
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: asking for some help on doing something that needs done.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: And it catches up to you as you, as you
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: get older. So the man formerly known as the man
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: with the billy goat beard, I'll be thinking of you.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: I genuinely will wishing the best for you. Make sure
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: you touch base with us and let, and let us
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: know that you've been through it and, and recovering. Did
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: you see, uh, when I talk about anesthesia, wait a second,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: did you see this news story? Uh, about this guy
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: that died. Let me see. I got to bring this up.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: About this guy that died from going to get a
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: tooth removed. I got to find, I got to find
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: this story for you. So this guy, let's see, uh,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: This guy goes to this prominent oral surgeon and dentist
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: in Medina, is facing severe state actions and investigations following
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: the August 2023 medical malpractice death of a patient. The
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: state boards have determined that his professional misconduct and failure
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: to monitor anesthesia led directly to the patient's fatal cardiac arrest. Well,
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: this is a highly publicized case of medical malpractice and negligence.
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: He has not been criminally charged with murder or intentionally
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: killing patients. So, but let's see. So this guy, I think,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: was an oral surgeon or is an oral surgeon. So
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: the patient's a 48-year-old guy from Lorain County. And he
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: went in for a routine extraction of three teeth. Under
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: general anesthesia. Which is interesting because have you ever had
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: like a tooth pulled? I have. And I mean, they
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: just kind of give you like novocaine shots around it.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: I mean, they never knock me out or pull some
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: teeth out. They would always say, you know, I was
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: wide awake during it all. They'd give you the shots
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: around it and then, boom, they pull it out and
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: I couldn't even tell what was going on. You know,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: you were numb and they pulled the tooth out. No
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: pain or anything like that. Those of you that are listening,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: I'm sure some of you have had your wisdom teeth
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: removed and whatever other situation you might have. I've never
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: been knocked out by anesthesia to have teeth pulled. But anyway,
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: I guess some people I don't know why they do that,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: but so this guy went in for routine extraction of
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: three teeth under general anesthesia. So the patient, who's 48
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: years old, stopped breathing and suffered a heart attack during
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: the procedure. He passed away in a hospital four days later.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: The Ohio State Dental Board investigation cited two primary failures
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: in his care. No pre-op evaluation. He failed to perform
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: a thorough medical assessment. of the patient's heart and lungs
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: prior to administering sedation. In adequate monitoring, he failed to
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: appropriately monitor the patient while he was under general anesthesia.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: And he altered the records. Investigators also alleged the preoperative
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: anesthesia records were altered after the incident occurred. Now, this
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: doctor previously held a prestigious role teaching upcoming oral surgeons
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: at Case Western Reserve University, though he was removed from
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: working with students following the incidents. His attorney continues to
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: defend his actions in a civil wrongful death lawsuit filed
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: by the victim's widow is moving forward. So, I mean,
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: you know, isn't that interesting, interesting case out of Medina,
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: but that's in like this oral surgeon's office. So the
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: guy died as a result of anesthesia. That's the, I
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: don't want to make the man with the Billy go
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: beard nervous. Cause he'll be under, uh, you know, a
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: hospital type setting or surgical setting, not in a..
- 1:35:56Speaker 14: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: From News Radio 570 WKVN, Ron Furb, you're on the air. Hello.
- 1:36:08Speaker 27: Hi, Ron. I'm going to be going back a little
- 1:36:10Speaker 27: bit in time here, which I wanted to talk about
- 1:36:12Speaker 27: the palisades fires in Los Angeles. You know, where 31
- 1:36:20Speaker 27: people died, there were 16,000 structures that were burned to
- 1:36:24Speaker 27: the ground. There were 23,498 acres burned. $ 25 billion in costs.
- 1:36:32Speaker 27: Schools damaged. People had to leave. Thousands lost their homes.
- 1:36:39Speaker 27: How in the heck is Mayor Bass allowed to even
- 1:36:42Speaker 27: be on that election?
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: Well, okay, but here's a question you should ask more
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: than that. Who in their right mind voted for her?
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: Because I mean, I don't have a problem with people
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: voting for her. I just think you're stupid to vote for.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: I'm not about you know, I'm not saying she's to me.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: She's so blatantly incompetent. My thought is why she's just
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: blatantly incompetent as far as I'm concerned. So my.
- 1:37:14Speaker 27: Thought is my thought, Ron, is about accountability.
- 1:37:17Speaker 5: She was responsible.
- 1:37:18Speaker 27: She was not even in... She was in Africa.
- 1:37:20Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:37:21Speaker 27: She, like, laughed about it, basically. No accountability. She should
- 1:37:24Speaker 27: not even have been allowed to be put on the ballot.
- 1:37:27Speaker 27: And the other lady, that Nessa Raymond, that was... You know,
- 1:37:31Speaker 27: she conceded to losing. And Spencer Pratt, who really should
- 1:37:35Speaker 27: have been elected... I mean, I understand a lot of
- 1:37:37Speaker 27: people don't vote, but there needs to be accountability. She should...
- 1:37:42Speaker 27: She should not even have been allowed to be on
- 1:37:45Speaker 27: the ballot.
- 1:37:47Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 1:37:47Speaker 27: So we need to make some laws. The same thing
- 1:37:49Speaker 27: with Governor Newsom. All the buildings he got from, probably
- 1:37:52Speaker 27: trillions from that rail that he was supposed to build,
- 1:37:55Speaker 27: you know, 10 years later, nothing to build. He shouldn't
- 1:37:58Speaker 27: be allowed to be on. You know, if you don't
- 1:38:00Speaker 27: do your job, why do you keep on getting rewarded?
- 1:38:05Speaker 27: I'm so angry about this, Ron. I know it's a
- 1:38:07Speaker 27: free country, but there has to be accountability.
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: See, I have a problem with it in the following sense.
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: She has a right to run for re-election. If you
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: have a problem with anybody, you should have a problem
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: with the idiots that voted for her. I mean, the
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: people that voted for her because she's blatantly incompetent when
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: it comes to the homeless issue, when it comes to
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: the fires. So if that's where your problem is, my
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: problem isn't that we should restrict her from being on
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the ballot. I'm against that. My problem is that these
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: idiots actually voted for her and she does a terrible job, period.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: And the woman that came in second, allegedly, first and foremost,
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: I don't like how they do the voting in California.
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: I don't like how they do the voting. I think
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: it's ridiculous, this whole idea of you have a primary
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: at the ballot box, and then you take the two
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: top contenders of the three, and now they've got to
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: run against each other. Well, wait a minute. They're two Democrats.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: I mean, their whole process— It's just ridiculous. So I
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: have a problem with how they do it, their elections
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: in the first place. I have a problem with the
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: fact in California they mail everybody a ballot. Everybody gets
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: mailed a ballot. Everybody gets mailed a ballot, and I
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: think that's ridiculous. I think it's stupid. So we mail
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: everybody a ballot. You could be dead. You could have moved.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: Who knows who's voting that ballot? So do you think
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: that that opens you up to a lot of– Fraud
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: that can take place. So my problem is with the system.
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: She can run. You're an idiot to vote for her
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: based on her results. You're really an idiot to vote
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: for the woman who supposedly came in second based on
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: what she had to say.
- 1:39:58Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: But guess what? She came in second, allegedly. And Spencer
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: Pratt made the most sense of anybody involved in If
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: you're asking me, do I suspect, common sense tells me,
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: Kristen Walker isn't sitting here, a welker from the Meet
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: the Press, so I can say it. When she says,
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: what proof do you have, President Trump, that the election
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: was fixed or shenanigans took place? He should have said
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: to her, what proof do you have that it wasn't?
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: Because she can't say for certain that everything's on the
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: up and up. And she doesn't have any proof of that.
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: And she wants to question Trump when he says, I
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: smell a rat here. Listen, mailing everybody a ballot, who
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: votes it? Who got the ballot? What about the drop boxes?
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: It's just open to fraud. The whole process is open
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: to fraud. And I would lose total confidence in all
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: of it.
- 1:40:55Speaker 27: Knowing that, they're going to take 30 days to count,
- 1:40:57Speaker 27: over 30 days to count all these votes. And there
- 1:40:59Speaker 27: were 24,000 ballots that... Pratt didn't get one single vote.
- 1:41:05Speaker 27: I mean, come on, this was after, you know..
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: How is that mathematically possible?
- 1:41:09Speaker 26: It isn't.
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:41:10Speaker 27: So that proves fraud right there.
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: I agree.
- 1:41:12Speaker 27: Come on, people, wake up. I mean, something has to
- 1:41:15Speaker 27: be done, you know, for accountability. Because, you know, Florida
- 1:41:20Speaker 27: gets all their votes in one day, you know, counted.
- 1:41:23Speaker 27: This is corruption to its utmost.
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: See, I don't disagree with anything... The only thing I
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: disagree with you saying is I don't want more laws
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: to say you can't be on a ballot because you're
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: incompetent and do a lousy job if you decide to
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: run for reelection. That's fine with me. It is the
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: United States of America. Once again, these people are stupid
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: enough to vote for her. That's what the problem is.
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: What we have today is the low information voter. Voting
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: in many cases becomes a popularity contest as opposed to
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: actually citizens being informed and casting an educated vote in
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: many cases. I don't see how anyone could vote for
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: either one of the two Democrats based on what they
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: stand for and based on their performance. It is a
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: disaster in California. And Pratt made sense about everything. So,
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: to me, he's the guy to vote for. But if
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: you're asking me, do I think shenanigans took place?
- 1:42:27Speaker 13: Yes.
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: How do you get 25,000 votes and not a single
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: one for Pratt? If that doesn't stink right there.
- 1:42:36Speaker 27: Well, that's how stupid they are. If they were smart,
- 1:42:39Speaker 27: the Democratic Party or whoever's doing this, okay, obviously it's them,
- 1:42:43Speaker 27: then you would at least put some in there for Pratt.
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:42:46Speaker 27: That's how blatant. They are about like they think we're stupid.
- 1:42:50Speaker 27: You know, they don't even do it where it looks
- 1:42:53Speaker 27: like he got something. It doesn't make any sense. And, yeah,
- 1:42:57Speaker 27: Pratt should have got in. I've listened to him. I
- 1:42:59Speaker 27: support him. They're making fun of him because he was,
- 1:43:01Speaker 27: you know, on TV. It doesn't matter. He lost his home.
- 1:43:03Speaker 27: His mother and father lost their home. He was living
- 1:43:05Speaker 27: in a trailer.
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: I mean.
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: He made the most sense, did he not, of everyone running.
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: He was the guy running to say this. She was
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: out of the country. The reservoir was empty that we
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: could have used to help put these fires out. And
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: it was purposely empty.
- 1:43:20Speaker 27: It was purposely empty.
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: The homeless problem has just gotten worse that she said
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: she would solve. All of this money is being spent
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: without accountability. The woman is completely, totally incompetent. The fact
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: that anybody legitimately would vote for her, they need their
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: head examined. Or that other woman that was crying who
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: conceded that you need your head examined for that. So
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: once again..
- 1:43:44Speaker 27: And not only that, she's getting paid. She's getting paid
- 1:43:48Speaker 27: for her incompetence.
- 1:43:49Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: I'm with you. I think the whole... If you ask me,
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: do I have confidence that that was a legitimate election?
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: I do not. I think that whole system... First of all,
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: it's up to the party to have their primary. And
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: then let's have a Republican run against a Democrat. Now,
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: whoever wins that election... by whoever gets the majority votes,
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: that's your next governor or that's your next mayor. But
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: they don't do it like that in California. They come
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: up with this process, which makes it, I think, more
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: difficult for a Republican to ever win by saying, okay,
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: here's the primary. We got two Democrats and one Republican.
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: Now whoever comes in last is eliminated. Now we have
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: two Democrats running for mayor And now you've got to
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: vote for one of those two.
- 1:44:46Speaker 27: This is stupid. It is stupid. It makes no sense.
- 1:44:49Speaker 27: I mean, you have to have one Republican and one Democrat.
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: Now, the good thing is, didn't that Hilton, the guy
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: who made the cut for governor?
- 1:44:56Speaker 28: Yes.
- 1:45:02Speaker 27: I'm afraid he gets it, but yes, I was shocked
- 1:45:05Speaker 27: that there wasn't any corruption there.
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: But he makes a lot of good points. But I
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: agree with you. You can't tell me anywhere that you
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: mail everybody a ballot, people die, people move, people become— they
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: can have mental issues. You have absolutely no idea who's
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: voting that ballot— And if there's ballot harvesting... And shenanigans
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: are going on when you do something like that. So
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: they want fraud because that's how they can win. And
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: I think that whole election stinks. And I have no
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: faith in that system at all. And once again, you
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: see me at the press. Well, Kristen, why don't you
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: tell me why you have such confidence that there weren't
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: any shenanigans? Because I would have brought up all those
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: points if I were Trump. But she wants to say
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: to Trump, well, you have no proof. You have no
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: proof that it was like that. The election just took place,
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: for God's sakes.
- 1:46:05Speaker 27: Yes, but you know what else? They had proof. I
- 1:46:08Speaker 27: don't know if it was Nick Shirley or someone that
- 1:46:11Speaker 27: they have it on video where they were paying the
- 1:46:12Speaker 27: homeless people $ 10 to vote. They were filling out the
- 1:46:17Speaker 27: things for them. They were paying the money to vote
- 1:46:20Speaker 27: for who they wanted them to vote for.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: Well, this is why you don't need an ID or
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: anything because we can get illegals to vote. This is
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: how they want to win elections.
- 1:46:29Speaker 7: They have proof.
- 1:46:30Speaker 27: They have proof. And even with the proof, they're still getting.
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: Away with it. It's California. I don't live there. This
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: is why, like I say, the Democrats want illegals here
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: because they want them to be able to vote, and
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: they want to do these shenanigans because that's how they
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: think they can stay in power.
- 1:46:50Speaker 27: I saw a survey last night that said that 53%
- 1:46:54Speaker 27: of the Democrats don't even want to live in the
- 1:46:56Speaker 27: United States. Well, let them leave. Let them go live
- 1:46:59Speaker 27: somewhere else. 53% of the Democrats would rather not be
- 1:47:02Speaker 27: living here.
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: I don't know about that. Listen, the people that think
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: that are opposed to capitalism, this country has done more
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: to change people's lives than any other country. People have
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: come here and still come here today from these countries
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: and they're poor and they come here and they open
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: up a restaurant. How many Chinese restaurants do you see
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: where people come here and they work morning till night,
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: seven days a week? And they make money, and they
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: put their kid through college, and the kid becomes a
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: doctor or a success. The American dream still exists today
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: for many immigrants that come to this country that bring
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: a work ethic when they come to this country. Too
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: many of my fellow Americans think they're owed something. They're
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: too lazy. They don't want to put an effort forth
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: because it's too hard. They don't want to put a
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: work ethic forth. And you see many people that come
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: from countries where it's very poor, and they come here
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: and they realize the great opportunities they have. They don't
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: bellyache about working. They're happy to go to work. They're
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: happy to get a paycheck. They don't spend more than
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: they make. They build for the future, and they become
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: American success stories because of capitalism. What other country can
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: that happen in? I can't think of any country other
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: than this country, and yet you have many of these
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: young people who think the answer is socialism, which doesn't
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: work anywhere.
- 1:48:31Speaker 27: I'm a little bit leery. I can't wait for the
- 1:48:35Speaker 27: 4th of July to celebrate our freedoms, but I hope
- 1:48:38Speaker 27: to God it doesn't get out of hand with people
- 1:48:41Speaker 27: ruining it.
- 1:48:41Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 1:48:42Speaker 27: The ones that don't want it. The ones that hate
- 1:48:44Speaker 27: this country. You know, we want it. patriotism, you know,
- 1:48:48Speaker 27: and they could very well destroy that beautiful.
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: I say to you, even now, this is a great country.
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: When I, when probably when you were young and I
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: was young, if you wanted to be in the trades,
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: you had to know somebody because it was so hard
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: to get into the trades today. They're begging for young
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: kids to come join the trades where you'll make a
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: good living the rest of your life. It was, it
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: was hard to get into the post office, hard to
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: get into the police department, hard to get into the
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: fire department. Hard to get into the trades. Hard to
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: get into General Motors. Hard to get into Ford. Today,
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: young people have great opportunities in front of them where
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: these places are begging for people to come work for them.
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: And they give you a good wage, good benefits, good retirement.
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: And the opportunities have never been better for young people
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: that are out there today versus when I was a
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: young man. Take advantage of it.
- 1:49:40Speaker 27: That was my statement for today. Thank you for making it.
- 1:49:43Speaker 27: There's so much to talk about, but yeah, that really
- 1:49:46Speaker 27: bothers me. There needs to be some accountability and some
- 1:49:49Speaker 27: kind of laws.
- 1:49:50Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 1:49:51Speaker 27: She should have no right.
- 1:49:52Speaker 22: All right.
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: Well, thank you.
- 1:49:55Speaker 27: I know we have our freedoms, but still, something has
- 1:49:57Speaker 27: to be done.
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: Well, you've got to blame the voters. Thank you. I mean,
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: it's the voters. I can't explain California. I can't explain why.
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: It's the low information voter. The woman has done a
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: horrific job. Why would anyone vote for her? It's beyond me.
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: And the woman running against her, who's also a Democrat,
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: also a terrible job. Their ideas suck. It doesn't work.
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: It's just terrible. You know, it's just terrible. I can't
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: explain to you that voter. I simply can't explain to
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: you that voter. I mean, you deserve better than that.
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: Spencer Pratt, I thought, was making an argument as to
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: how horrible a job these people have done and what
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: he would do different. And boy, I would have voted
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: for him and say, I'll give this guy a shot
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: at it. But this counting, this, oh, we're going to
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: keep counting ballots. It's a joke. It's an absolute joke.
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: And then how can he have 25,000 ballots? And Joey,
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: Pratt doesn't get a single vote. What an oddity. Mathematically,
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: that's impossible. So I think the whole thing is a
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: sham for that. I think he was... I'm all for
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: voter ID. First of all, I think you've got to
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: be a citizen to vote. You can't be here illegally.
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: You've got to have proof of citizenship to vote. You
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: should have to produce an ID. We should have confidence
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: in our voting systems. And quite frankly, I think we're
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: starting to lose confidence in our judiciary as well as
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: our voting system. We're getting too many judges that are
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: sitting there as politicians with a political bent as opposed
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: to just ruling on justice itself, and we're starting to
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: see that in so many fields today.
- 1:52:16Speaker 14: Towns News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN.
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: It's Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning at 555
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: here on a Wednesday, June 10th. It's a hot human,
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: 189 degrees. Honored to be with you. You're on the air.
- 1:52:31Speaker 6: Hey, Ron.
- 1:52:32Speaker 24: Let me get my word out, okay?
- 1:52:36Speaker 5: I'm talking.
- 1:52:37Speaker 24: You're listening. 570 WKBN.
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: That's good. That's good. That's good.
- 1:52:44Speaker 24: Let me finish before you ferment all over me.
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: Yes, sir. I'll stand by.
- 1:52:49Speaker 24: I like that word, ferment, now. We're using that a
- 1:52:52Speaker 24: lot in the news, ferment. Anyhow, this thing with this
- 1:52:58Speaker 24: black child, you know, that's going to jail for 35 years.
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:53:04Speaker 24: A lot of people are outside screaming racism.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: It's ridiculous.
- 1:53:08Speaker 24: Yeah, I didn't understand that. I mean, the guy gets
- 1:53:10Speaker 24: a knife, stabs somebody because he's got a different color skin.
- 1:53:13Speaker 13: You know, what, let him go?
- 1:53:16Speaker 24: And then let him go rob a 7-Eleven.
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Would those people be out
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: there protesting if the guy was white that stabbed the
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: kid black? Or would they say... He should have been
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: sentenced to death. I mean, race really had nothing to
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: do with this at all. They asked him 15 times
- 1:53:36Speaker 1: to leave the tent. This was at a track meet
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: that he didn't belong in and he didn't listen. And
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: so the kid gives him a push out of the
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: tent and he turns around and stabs him as opposed
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: to leaving.
- 1:53:48Speaker 24: Yeah, I understand.
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: I mean, he should have been sentenced to, I mean,
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: what he did, he killed that kid.
- 1:53:53Speaker 24: He should have got the chair.
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: Well, 35 years is 35 years. Going to jail, he's
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: going to realize the stupidity of what he did.
- 1:54:03Speaker 24: Yeah, but 17 and a half.
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but still. I mean, 35 years, I'm comfortable with
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: that because I'm one of those people, I don't think
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: anybody wants to go To the lockup where he's going,
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: I mean, your life is going to be miserable. I mean,
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: if only you could think before you do some of
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: this stupid stuff when it comes to these violent crimes.
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: Sometimes we lock people up we shouldn't be locking up
- 1:54:31Speaker 1: that don't commit violent crimes.
- 1:54:36Speaker 24: You don't go to a sports event with a knife.
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: Well, it was a pocket knife. But the bottom line
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: is you don't pull it out and stab someone. You
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: don't sit there saying, I don't belong here. I've been
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: asked to leave. I'm so cocky that I'm going to
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: tell them, no, I'm not leaving. Then when one of
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: the kids at the track meet pushes me out of
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: their team tent, I'm going to grab a knife and
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: stab them in the chest.
- 1:54:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: That's all you need to know about what happened. It
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: had nothing to do with black and white. It had
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: to do with the bottom line that this kid basically
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: murdered that other kid and he should have walked away.
- 1:55:11Speaker 24: Now, on another note, you think Trump's going to go
- 1:55:13Speaker 24: in full blast?
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: I don't know what his options are. I don't know
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: that that will fix the problem at all. I mean,
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: you know where I'm at on it. I don't think
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: he ever should have done this in the first place.
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: I think he's in a mess right now. I think
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: this thing is a quagmire, as Rich the pharmacist calls it.
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: I think he's got a major mess on his hands.
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: I don't know that he... I don't know that there's
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: an easy way out of this. Stand by for me.
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: Stand by. That's a great question. We'll talk about it
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: after the break, all right? Hang in there. Bubba Ganoush
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: on the end of the line. I want to talk
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: to him about that because he asked a great question
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: about that, and I want to have an exchange with him.
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: Take more of your calls. We're here tonight until 7.
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: We're on Verb News Radio 570 WQEN.
- 1:56:03Speaker 21: From ABC News, I'm Chuck Severson. The bombings just started again.
- 1:56:08Speaker 13: The U.S.
- 1:56:08Speaker 21: Attacking Iran again announced less than a half an hour ago.
- 1:56:12Speaker 21: President Trump this morning said the U.S. would attack by
- 1:56:15Speaker 21: air again and cited Iran's shooting down a U.S. helicopter,
- 1:56:19Speaker 21: which he already ordered retaliation attacks last night, then saying
- 1:56:23Speaker 21: the U.S. would attack again tonight.
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: Well, we're going to be attacking them.
- 1:56:27Speaker 7: Attacking them very hard.
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: You're resuming bombing? Yeah, well, we are. Based on the helicopter,
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: I guess we have the right.
- 1:56:33Speaker 5: To do that.
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: The U.S.
- 1:56:34Speaker 21: Military Central Command in Florida announcing the air attacks are
- 1:56:37Speaker 21: in response to Iran's unwarranted and continued aggression. From CENTCOM
- 1:56:42Speaker 21: earlier at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, Defense
- 1:56:45Speaker 21: Secretary Pete Hegseth echoing another reason Trump gave today.
- 1:56:49Speaker 16: CENTCOM, Central Command, will be busy tonight because President Trump
- 1:56:52Speaker 16: said we will be hitting Iran hard, and we will be.
- 1:56:56Speaker 16: Because Iran has a chance to make a.
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: Good deal, a great deal, to codify.
- 1:57:02Speaker 16: What they said they've been willing to do and they
- 1:57:03Speaker 16: haven't been willing to do it.
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: New air attacks between Iran and the U.S.
- 1:57:06Speaker 21: Have led to oil prices going up today and Wall
- 1:57:09Speaker 21: Street stock indexes closing sharply lower. President Trump on social
- 1:57:14Speaker 21: media says a secret mission last month allowed hundreds of
- 1:57:17Speaker 21: oil tankers to travel through the Strait of Hormuz. This
- 1:57:20Speaker 21: after reporters at the White House asked about the latest
- 1:57:23Speaker 21: report showing the highest inflation in three years.
- 1:57:26Speaker 29: I love the inflation.
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: You know why?
- 1:57:27Speaker 21: And then he talked about the oil tankers expecting higher
- 1:57:30Speaker 21: inflation to stay with us for a while for things
- 1:57:32Speaker 21: like groceries, fuel and clothing. Bankrate analyst Stephen Cates.
- 1:57:36Speaker 9: Those are things that people are not necessarily going to
- 1:57:38Speaker 9: be able to avoid. They may not have the ability
- 1:57:41Speaker 9: to find lower cost substitutions. It's going to be difficult.
- 1:57:45Speaker 9: for people to sidestep these things without simply going without.
- 1:57:48Speaker 21: President Trump signed into law a $ 70 billion funding bill
- 1:57:51Speaker 21: for immigration enforcement, including ICE. Tonight's the fourth game of
- 1:57:55Speaker 21: the NBA Finals. New York Knicks lead the series two
- 1:57:57Speaker 21: games to one. You're listening to ABC News.
- 1:58:02Speaker 5: Hot.
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: Sue, it's News Radio 570 WQEN. You have a lot
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: more confidence, Bubba Garushanian, the end of the line, than
- 1:58:12Speaker 1: I do in this whole situation. It's okay.
- 1:58:15Speaker 24: Your news just said he just attacked again.
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean, let me ask you this.
- 1:58:22Speaker 32: We..
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: I'm from the school of thought that says the bunker
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: buster did its job.
- 1:58:29Speaker 13: So..
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: So that was the end of it as far as
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: I was concerned.
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: No.
- 1:58:36Speaker 24: Listen, 17 and a half years of terrorism kicked her
- 1:58:42Speaker 24: behind hard.
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: I think that that is easier said than done in
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: a lot of ways. That is 6,000 miles from America.
- 1:58:53Speaker 26: Right, right.
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: I mean, this is where we are based.
- 1:58:57Speaker 24: Three or four different proxies, right? That they had. That
- 1:59:02Speaker 24: they're hurting people. Even Americans died. Six, seven, eight thousand
- 1:59:07Speaker 24: Americans died.
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: Listen. Here's what the problem is. We can go through
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: all of this kind of stuff. We did the bunker buster.
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: I think that solved the problem. Why he did, once again,
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: I have a broken record. Why he did this, I think,
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: was because of Israel and Netanyahu. And this was a mistake.
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: He destroyed his accomplishments. We had gas at $ 2. 50 a gallon.
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: We had inflation coming down. Everything was going in the
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: right direction. By him doing this, in the blink of
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: an eye, he reversed all of that stuff. Gas prices
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: went up to $ 5. Oh, now they're down to $ 4. 40,
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: depending where you are. And we have inflation that's back. Well,
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: we're going to have a deal any day now. Well,
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: we don't. Well, we're going to have one now. We've
- 1:59:58Speaker 1: been hearing that week after week after week after week.
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: We see the stock market go up. We see the
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: stock market go down dramatically. We see the price of
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: a barrel of oil go up. We see it drop down.
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: There's all of this uncertainty. So he can go bomb
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: them some more. And what do they say? What's the
- 2:00:17Speaker 1: definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: again and expecting different results. So we've already bombed the
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: hell out of them one time, and they didn't reach
- 2:00:28Speaker 1: an agreement. So we're going to go bomb them some more,
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: and is that going to cause them to reach an agreement?
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: And I'm not saying, just hear me out, I'm not
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: saying Iran isn't hurting big time and economically and financially.
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: I'm sure they are. But I'm going to tell you
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: this much. I'm as opposed to this. I think this
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: was a mistake from day one. And everyone acting like,
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: I understand you can't turn the clock back. So it's
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: a done deal. But this idea, we're going to reach
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: an agreement. We don't. We're going to reach an agreement
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: and we don't. And now once again, we're back to bombing.
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: And let's take a look at what happens once again
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: to the stock market, to the price of a barrel
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: of oil, to the economy. And now we're going, we're
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: almost at the middle of June. As we get closer
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: to July and August, I am not going to sit
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: here and I can appreciate you. I know you're a
- 2:01:20Speaker 1: Trump cheerleader and all that kind of stuff. No, I
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: don't think, I don't think everything he does is great
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: and right and terrific. I'm not in that camp. I know,
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: but I don't, I'm not, well, let me tell you something.
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: I don't put out the fire.
- 2:01:36Speaker 24: They'll start another fire.
- 2:01:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: Well, how are you going to put out the fire?
- 2:01:42Speaker 24: You neutralize them.
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: Well, how do you do that?
- 2:01:45Speaker 24: Okay.
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: You want to go drop a nuclear bomb and kill
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: them all?
- 2:01:50Speaker 24: No, you make relationships with the other countries around them,
- 2:01:53Speaker 24: which he did.
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: I don't know. Some of the other countries aren't crazy
- 2:01:57Speaker 1: about us asking us to get out of there. We'll
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: see what happens as time goes on. I hope it
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: all works out, all right? But I'm telling you right now,
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: it's going on longer than he ever thought it would
- 2:02:09Speaker 1: go on, and it's continuing to go on. And it
- 2:02:13Speaker 1: appears to me it's not getting better. It's getting worse.
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:02:17Speaker 24: We'll see.
- 2:02:18Speaker 26: All right.
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: We'll see. We'll see. I mean, that's– I just recorded
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: one of our financial shows today. There's Monday. Those guys
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: are good. Rockport Wealth Program. And the words volatility and
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: uncertainty keep coming up on these things. It keeps coming
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: up on the price of a barrel of oil, the
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: stock markets. You know, if we just talk about the
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: stock market, and I realize that not everybody's in it,
- 2:02:47Speaker 1: but I also realize a lot of people have 401ks.
- 2:02:51Speaker 1: I realize a lot of people that are out there
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: are retired. That's their retirement, stocks and bonds. I realize
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: people that are close to retirement are in that. Let's
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: not act like it doesn't have an effect on people.
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: And in some cases, an immediate effect, depending on your age.
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: Because it does. And they're looking at it. And the
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: price of a barrel of oil. Or the price of
- 2:03:17Speaker 1: a gallon of gas. Who thought two weeks ago, now
- 2:03:24Speaker 1: this helicopter was shot down. Now we're back to bombing again.
- 2:03:28Speaker 1: Now where are we going to go after that? Now
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: what if that doesn't work? Now what do you do?
- 2:03:36Speaker 1: Who are you negotiating with? Because all these people are
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: wiped out. Exactly. Is that a potential problem? Who are
- 2:03:43Speaker 1: you talking to? Who can actually make a decision over there?
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: Who's actually in charge that they can actually make a
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: decision on behalf of that country? And I don't know.
- 2:03:58Speaker 1: Is there somebody? Maybe their decision is exactly what they're doing.
- 2:04:02Speaker 1: We're doing nothing. We're not agreeing to any of this stuff.
- 2:04:07Speaker 1: Maybe their decision is we're our own country. We're 93
- 2:04:09Speaker 1: million people. You're not going to tell us we can't
- 2:04:11Speaker 1: have a nuclear weapon when Israel can have one. Maybe
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: that's their philosophy. We'll take the economic hit and you're
- 2:04:18Speaker 1: going to take one too. And we'll see what happens
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: with the midterms and see if the Democrats take charge.
- 2:04:26Speaker 1: This could be their whole philosophy over there. It's a
- 2:04:29Speaker 1: whole different world away, a whole different philosophy, a whole
- 2:04:33Speaker 1: different culture. But think how things would have been here
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: if this never would have started in the first place.
- 2:04:43Speaker 1: Think if he would have just stayed focused on getting
- 2:04:46Speaker 1: all these people out of here who came here illegally
- 2:04:49Speaker 1: and stayed focused on getting the economy where it needed
- 2:04:51Speaker 1: to be and we all felt better about things. America first.
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: Because I wasn't staying up at night worrying about the
- 2:04:59Speaker 1: nuclear threat from Iran. Imagine if he would have stayed focused.
- 2:05:06Speaker 1: But he didn't. And now you got this mess. And
- 2:05:12Speaker 1: now you got to figure out where you go from here.
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: And then you got to figure out how do you
- 2:05:16Speaker 1: fix this problem that you created for the American people?
- 2:05:18Speaker 1: And how long will that take? We shall see. You know,
- 2:05:29Speaker 1: I will tell you one. I'll just tell you right
- 2:05:31Speaker 1: off the bat. I am not optimistic, but I'm not
- 2:05:34Speaker 1: a cheerleader for the guy. I'm not going to sit
- 2:05:36Speaker 1: here and, And cheerlead for him at all. Would I
- 2:05:40Speaker 1: vote for Sherrod Brown because of it? Absolutely not. You know,
- 2:05:48Speaker 1: you weigh it all. And in general, Trump has done
- 2:05:50Speaker 1: a lot of good things. But I don't agree with this.
- 2:05:52Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean I'm going to go rush out
- 2:05:54Speaker 1: and vote for Sherrod Brown or some Democrat at the midterms.
- 2:05:57Speaker 1: But unfortunately, a lot of people will. I saw some
- 2:06:03Speaker 1: of the polling results. which shows him with a lead
- 2:06:06Speaker 1: at this point in time doesn't necessarily surprise me he's
- 2:06:09Speaker 1: been around forever he's got name recognition but we shall
- 2:06:13Speaker 1: see as it gets closer I would hate to see
- 2:06:17Speaker 1: the Democrats take control and then it'll be two years
- 2:06:22Speaker 1: of just craziness and I sure don't want to go
- 2:06:27Speaker 1: back to their insanity more calls ahead G2 or is
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: that you?
- 2:06:35Speaker 13: Good evening, Ron.
- 2:06:36Speaker 24: How are you?
- 2:06:37Speaker 1: I'm a frustrated American. That's how I am. There's a
- 2:06:42Speaker 1: lot to be frustrated about. And I'm not an optimistic
- 2:06:45Speaker 1: American at this point in time, either. I'll tell you that. Stan,
- 2:06:49Speaker 1: what's the out here? Give me your assessment. What's the
- 2:06:53Speaker 1: game plan? What's the out?
- 2:06:56Speaker 6: There are two paths, I think, in this war. I
- 2:06:58Speaker 6: think one is the Mark Levin, Benjamin Netanyahu path, which
- 2:07:03Speaker 6: is bomb them, until we run out of weapons and
- 2:07:07Speaker 6: then nuke them.
- 2:07:09Speaker 1: And I will emphasize, I am totally opposed to that lunacy.
- 2:07:16Speaker 6: Well, but I tell you, I've been hearing consistently on
- 2:07:21Speaker 6: different programs now this constant narrative that these people are irrational.
- 2:07:26Speaker 6: I don't know how you come to that conclusion, what
- 2:07:28Speaker 6: makes them irrational. I understand we're supposed to hate the enemy,
- 2:07:31Speaker 6: but what makes them irrational? They're rational. They are crazy.
- 2:07:36Speaker 6: They are lunatics. They kill their own people. Therefore, we
- 2:07:40Speaker 6: have to kill their people more than they do. I mean,
- 2:07:43Speaker 6: there's a rhetoric, a perfectly scripted rhetoric that's come out
- 2:07:47Speaker 6: of narrative central, wherever that is. That is, there's no
- 2:07:51Speaker 6: way to get a deal. There'll never be a deal.
- 2:07:53Speaker 6: The only way out of this is to destroy everything
- 2:07:56Speaker 6: in that country, bomb them into oblivion. People are talking
- 2:07:59Speaker 6: about taking out their water supplies, their power supplies, which
- 2:08:02Speaker 6: is a direct attack on the civilian population, obviously. And,
- 2:08:06Speaker 6: of course, these will come with counterattacks, which will make
- 2:08:10Speaker 6: the pushback or their reaction, they're going to take out
- 2:08:15Speaker 6: some more They'll hit some military bases, but they'll also
- 2:08:19Speaker 6: start hitting civilian infrastructure. And it's just going to get nasty.
- 2:08:22Speaker 6: But that's what, you know, the Netanyahu-Levin plan is. It
- 2:08:26Speaker 6: is to take this to total war until this country
- 2:08:29Speaker 6: is conquered as Japan and Germany were.
- 2:08:31Speaker 1: Do you sign on to..
- 2:08:32Speaker 25: No.
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: Japan was different as far as World War II. I
- 2:08:37Speaker 1: am dead set against everything that you just said. I
- 2:08:40Speaker 1: don't give a damn if that's what Mark Levin says
- 2:08:42Speaker 1: or any of these other people. I think that is reprehensible,
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: what they're suggesting.
- 2:08:49Speaker 6: Well, the sideshow in the Levin Netanyahu plan is that
- 2:08:53Speaker 6: while that is going on, Israel will continue to kill
- 2:08:55Speaker 6: Christians in Lebanon, wipe out these villages, and they'll keep
- 2:08:59Speaker 6: saying Hezbollah, and we're to believe that they're killing all
- 2:09:01Speaker 6: these people for Hezbollah. But you'll see southern Lebanon is already,
- 2:09:05Speaker 6: you know, in some areas looks like Gaza. It is
- 2:09:08Speaker 6: going to be, as someone described to me, terraformed, right,
- 2:09:11Speaker 6: just completely leveled so that it can be rebuilt and
- 2:09:15Speaker 6: it will be basically, you know, incorporated into Israel effectively,
- 2:09:21Speaker 6: whether it's done legally or not or whether they just
- 2:09:22Speaker 6: do it through settlements, it's hard to say. So that
- 2:09:25Speaker 6: is their plan. Now, the plan, the other option here
- 2:09:31Speaker 6: is that, you know, using political pressure from every country
- 2:09:35Speaker 6: in the world because there's nobody that wants these people
- 2:09:37Speaker 6: to have a bomb, using economic pressure, which is now
- 2:09:41Speaker 6: more severe than it's ever been. It's not just that
- 2:09:43Speaker 6: they have sanctions and sell their oil for less. At
- 2:09:46Speaker 6: this point, they're not selling oil.
- 2:09:48Speaker 13: You know, the U.S.
- 2:09:49Speaker 6: Military just punched a hole in a tanker today because
- 2:09:53Speaker 6: the tanker wouldn't stop. They've got to get that money flowing.
- 2:09:57Speaker 6: And Donald Trump is saying, no, there'll be no money flowing.
- 2:10:00Speaker 6: You're not going to sell your oil. Not to China,
- 2:10:02Speaker 6: not to anybody. You know, as we've talked about, China
- 2:10:05Speaker 6: needs the oil. Europe needs the oil. We need certain
- 2:10:08Speaker 6: elements of what's going on, what they're producing. The chip
- 2:10:11Speaker 6: makers need the materials coming out of the straight-over moose.
- 2:10:16Speaker 6: There is a tremendous demand around the world for this.
- 2:10:19Speaker 6: And then if you think about the elements that go into,
- 2:10:23Speaker 6: or the materials that go into fertilizer... And what this
- 2:10:27Speaker 6: could mean in the middle of 2027 as the crops
- 2:10:30Speaker 6: are either going to be very expensive to get whatever
- 2:10:32Speaker 6: fertilizer is available, or we found new sources of material
- 2:10:36Speaker 6: for fertilizer, which is going to be hard to do
- 2:10:37Speaker 6: given some other things happening, or we're facing mass starvation
- 2:10:41Speaker 6: come late 27, you know.
- 2:10:44Speaker 13: Through mid-28.
- 2:10:44Speaker 6: I mean, it's... The pressure that India has to be
- 2:10:49Speaker 6: under right now to get this war settled is incredible.
- 2:10:51Speaker 6: So we're only told to think about Israel, the U.S.,
- 2:10:54Speaker 6: and Iran, but there is an entire world that wants
- 2:10:57Speaker 6: this settled because the world depends on the Strait of
- 2:11:01Speaker 6: Hormuz at some level. Obviously, you know, as I keep saying,
- 2:11:05Speaker 6: I think Trump's deal for them is quite.
- 2:11:07Speaker 13: A good deal.
- 2:11:08Speaker 6: You can join the family of nations, so to speak.
- 2:11:11Speaker 6: You just don't get to control the Strait of Hormuz,
- 2:11:13Speaker 6: and you have to agree you're never going to have
- 2:11:14Speaker 6: a nuclear weapon. But that's sort of ignoring the Levin
- 2:11:18Speaker 6: Netanyahu situation, where they are calling for the same kind
- 2:11:24Speaker 6: of transition. You know, regime change, they use the phrase, right?
- 2:11:28Speaker 6: The same thing that happened in Germany and Japan. The
- 2:11:30Speaker 6: only two places we've ever done it successfully. I've said
- 2:11:33Speaker 6: this a thousand times. And to do that, my first
- 2:11:36Speaker 6: estimate was we'd have to kill about 10% of the population,
- 2:11:38Speaker 6: 9 million or so. And then I was talking to
- 2:11:43Speaker 6: some guys from Lebanon and they were saying, no, it's
- 2:11:45Speaker 6: probably going to be more than that. So let's say
- 2:11:47Speaker 6: 15 or 20 million people. If we have the national
- 2:11:55Speaker 6: dedication or commitment to this war to go kill 20
- 2:11:58Speaker 6: million people, then we can execute the Levin Netanyahu plan.
- 2:12:02Speaker 13: If we don't.
- 2:12:04Speaker 6: Then we've got to use economic pressure. Of course, we
- 2:12:06Speaker 6: have to continue to fight these skirmishes. You know, shooting
- 2:12:09Speaker 6: down a helicopter isn't.
- 2:12:10Speaker 13: A major.
- 2:12:12Speaker 6: Reflare of this war. You know, shooting down a helicopter,
- 2:12:16Speaker 6: this is going to happen. This is a war zone.
- 2:12:19Speaker 6: I don't mean to belittle it and all this. We're
- 2:12:20Speaker 6: all supposed to be all bleeding. Look, we're at war.
- 2:12:24Speaker 6: In this war, we've lost, I think, three planes.
- 2:12:27Speaker 13: We've blown planes.
- 2:12:28Speaker 6: 13,000 missions destroyed, 13,000 targets. Israel destroyed another, I think, 3,000.
- 2:12:35Speaker 6: I've got to go look those numbers up and get
- 2:12:36Speaker 6: them right. But, I mean, it's been an incredible attack.
- 2:12:40Speaker 6: And I find it really interesting when the Levin Netanyahu
- 2:12:44Speaker 6: crowd says, look, Iran's getting stronger every day.
- 2:12:48Speaker 13: How?
- 2:12:50Speaker 5: Well, they're having time to rearm.
- 2:12:51Speaker 1: So are we.
- 2:12:53Speaker 6: How are they getting stronger every day? Do they suddenly
- 2:12:55Speaker 6: have a Navy? Do they suddenly have ability to control
- 2:12:57Speaker 6: the airspace? They're not getting stronger every day. And this
- 2:13:00Speaker 6: idea that we destroyed between the two countries, we destroyed
- 2:13:06Speaker 6: something like 16,000 military targets, and that has had no
- 2:13:09Speaker 6: impact on Iran?
- 2:13:11Speaker 5: Well, that's just stupid.
- 2:13:12Speaker 13: Of course it has.
- 2:13:13Speaker 6: So let's not pretend that somehow all this is playing
- 2:13:16Speaker 6: into one country's hands, because that's, of course, the way
- 2:13:19Speaker 6: it's portrayed by the people who hate Trump. or the
- 2:13:23Speaker 6: people who hate Israel, or the people who want to just.
- 2:13:29Speaker 24: Declare defeat.
- 2:13:31Speaker 13: There are two paths.
- 2:13:32Speaker 6: One is economic pressure, political pressure, that's geopolitical pressure.
- 2:13:37Speaker 24: That gets them to it.
- 2:13:38Speaker 6: Now, here's the problem with that path. It shows us
- 2:13:41Speaker 6: doing nothing, because we like to see things blowing up.
- 2:13:45Speaker 6: As a nation, we've been trained, basically, if you're a
- 2:13:48Speaker 6: If you're 70 years old your entire life, we've been
- 2:13:51Speaker 6: blowing things up. If you're 50 years old..
- 2:13:53Speaker 1: Shock and awe, shock and awe. Doesn't always work, though,
- 2:13:56Speaker 1: does it?
- 2:13:59Speaker 6: So there's a natural desire for us to see the
- 2:14:02Speaker 6: video game continue, because it feels like a video game
- 2:14:05Speaker 6: to us. It's so far away. We see it through
- 2:14:06Speaker 6: the television. And when you look at our losses in
- 2:14:10Speaker 6: a war like the 20 years we fought in Iraq
- 2:14:12Speaker 6: and Afghanistan, we lost... in that about 15 000 people
- 2:14:18Speaker 6: that's seven half contractors have regular military those are terrible
- 2:14:23Speaker 6: losses and of course you know.
- 2:14:24Speaker 1: Standby standby standby standby back in a minute gongstown's news
- 2:14:31Speaker 1: weather and talk station 570 wkbn all right so ron
- 2:14:36Speaker 1: furb with uh g2 let me take a couple calls
- 2:14:39Speaker 1: then we will let you get back to it so
- 2:14:41Speaker 1: you're on the.
- 2:14:41Speaker 13: Air Gentlemen, good evening. I have a question for you.
- 2:14:46Speaker 13: I mean, we can debate whether this was a good
- 2:14:49Speaker 13: thing to do or not. Personally, I think it was
- 2:14:54Speaker 13: a good thing to try and defend this regime, I
- 2:14:58Speaker 13: think this regime, and if we can topple Cuba. I
- 2:15:01Speaker 13: think that's a good thing, because I think you're looking
- 2:15:04Speaker 13: at regimes in both instances that are pretty much pure
- 2:15:06Speaker 13: evil and do nothing to benefit their people. So we
- 2:15:11Speaker 13: can debate whether it was or not, but let's look long-term.
- 2:15:15Speaker 13: Let's say two to three years. Hold on, hold on.
- 2:15:18Speaker 6: If those are the metrics that I'd like to talk
- 2:15:20Speaker 6: about Ireland, I'd like to talk about the tyrants of Brussels,
- 2:15:23Speaker 6: because to me, they're not only a threat to Europe,
- 2:15:26Speaker 6: they're a threat to the United States. The people running
- 2:15:30Speaker 6: those countries are absolute tyrants. They absolutely are not acting
- 2:15:33Speaker 6: in interest to their people. They are committing a domestic
- 2:15:36Speaker 6: genocide against their own people. And if I'm going to
- 2:15:39Speaker 6: go out and defend anybody, I want to defend the Irish,
- 2:15:42Speaker 6: I want to defend the Germans, I want to defend
- 2:15:43Speaker 6: the Italians, because Western civilization itself is being disassembled when
- 2:15:48Speaker 6: we're focused on this regime in this Iran.
- 2:15:52Speaker 13: You know. The only difference I would say between, and
- 2:15:56Speaker 13: I wouldn't disagree with you, I think Europe is very
- 2:16:00Speaker 13: much in danger of being lost. It may have gone
- 2:16:03Speaker 13: so far that it actually is going downhill and we
- 2:16:06Speaker 13: can't stop it. That snowball may already be over the precipice.
- 2:16:10Speaker 13: But in that instance, those countries have not for 50
- 2:16:14Speaker 13: years chanted death to America. They haven't been a country
- 2:16:18Speaker 13: on our southern doorstep that was allowing Soviet missiles to
- 2:16:21Speaker 13: be placed there to be targeted at our country. They
- 2:16:23Speaker 13: haven't gone that far yet.
- 2:16:24Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 2:16:25Speaker 6: It was much more insidious. They were attacking us from within, right?
- 2:16:29Speaker 6: They were bleeding us dry with NATO, taking huge contracts
- 2:16:33Speaker 6: to support this oversized presence in Europe. They were bleeding
- 2:16:39Speaker 6: us dry with trade deals. They have been parasitic relationships
- 2:16:42Speaker 6: for decades. The thing is, we just didn't say no.
- 2:16:46Speaker 6: They've had, who do you think has done more harm
- 2:16:48Speaker 6: to the United States, Iran or the globalists in Germany
- 2:16:51Speaker 6: and Brussels and France? Who do you think has hurt
- 2:16:55Speaker 6: us more?
- 2:16:56Speaker 13: No, no, no. The European, pretty much the rest of
- 2:16:59Speaker 13: the world economically has been hurting us since the end
- 2:17:01Speaker 13: of World War II.
- 2:17:03Speaker 6: So if the Europeans have done more harm, why not
- 2:17:07Speaker 6: go arm the British men, the Irish men, the Germans?
- 2:17:10Speaker 6: Why not arm the Italians? Why not arm the Greeks?
- 2:17:12Speaker 6: Why not arm the Europeans and say, you now can
- 2:17:15Speaker 6: stand up to yourselves? We keep saying the Levin Netanyahu plan.
- 2:17:19Speaker 6: Now they're talking about dropping weapons into Iran to arm
- 2:17:21Speaker 6: those people.
- 2:17:22Speaker 13: I say no.
- 2:17:23Speaker 6: I say let's go take those arms and give them
- 2:17:25Speaker 6: to Europeans to defend their families and let from that
- 2:17:28Speaker 6: come freedom once again in Europe. the difference there once
- 2:17:33Speaker 6: again though is that we we can easily rectify that
- 2:17:35Speaker 6: by just eliminating the trade pulling out of nato we've
- 2:17:38Speaker 6: we've got other options that don't require storm that populace
- 2:17:42Speaker 6: but we were there but we don't know if you
- 2:17:44Speaker 6: don't we can't go into war but but but hold
- 2:17:48Speaker 6: on now what you're saying is that the people who've
- 2:17:49Speaker 6: done more harm to the United States, these tyrants, these
- 2:17:52Speaker 6: globalists in Europe that have done more harm to the
- 2:17:55Speaker 6: United States, we're going to ignore that, and we're going
- 2:17:57Speaker 6: to go off and deal with Iran, where we've had
- 2:17:59Speaker 6: battles over the years. They've been part of some attacks
- 2:18:02Speaker 6: against U.S. soldiers, some we know, some not. Now, they
- 2:18:04Speaker 6: didn't do the USS Liberty. That wasn't them. We're going
- 2:18:07Speaker 6: to let that one go. We're going to ignore that,
- 2:18:09Speaker 6: pretend it ever happened. That never happened.
- 2:18:11Speaker 13: Just forget about it.
- 2:18:11Speaker 6: Pretend I didn't say it. We're going to say that
- 2:18:14Speaker 6: didn't matter. Benghazi matters, but the liberty doesn't. We've got
- 2:18:18Speaker 6: to go attack Iran because Iran was just about to
- 2:18:20Speaker 6: do exactly what to us. What do you think made
- 2:18:24Speaker 6: this a good idea? Because I've been wondering this for
- 2:18:27Speaker 6: a long time. Rich, what do you think made this
- 2:18:30Speaker 6: a good idea and this a good time to do it?
- 2:18:33Speaker 6: Why now and why then?
- 2:18:36Speaker 13: I just think because you can't let a nation that's
- 2:18:39Speaker 13: run by a bunch of radical religious ideologues who believe
- 2:18:44Speaker 13: in their souls that if they put a bomb on
- 2:18:47Speaker 13: our soil, they don't care if it kills everybody in Iran.
- 2:18:50Speaker 13: Because they took a good punch at the great Satan
- 2:18:52Speaker 13: and caused them a lot of damage. And so if
- 2:18:55Speaker 13: we retaliate and they die, they go to Allah and
- 2:18:57Speaker 13: get their 72 virgins. They don't care.
- 2:19:00Speaker 6: Why do you think it doesn't matter to them how
- 2:19:01Speaker 6: many people die.
- 2:19:02Speaker 28: In Iran, too?
- 2:19:05Speaker 6: Well, how did we get rid of them? We slaughtered them.
- 2:19:08Speaker 6: We slaughtered every man, woman, and child that was in
- 2:19:11Speaker 6: that city. In all those cities, we either firebombed or nuked.
- 2:19:15Speaker 5: We didn't kill..
- 2:19:16Speaker 6: Warfighters.
- 2:19:18Speaker 1: Okay, hold that thought. Hold that thought, G2. Hold that thought.
- 2:19:21Speaker 1: Hold that thought. Back with Rich. Back with G2. And
- 2:19:23Speaker 1: back with more of your calls after this. Stay tuned.
- 2:19:26Speaker 1: News Radio 570. WKVN. WKVN. All right, back to it.
- 2:19:31Speaker 1: News Radio 570. WKVN with G2. And with Rich, your pharmacist. Okay,
- 2:19:36Speaker 1: you were... The debate was going on here?
- 2:19:39Speaker 13: Well, I mean, we violated the rules of war, but
- 2:19:43Speaker 13: I would stipulate to you the rules of war have
- 2:19:45Speaker 13: been violated probably since war was initiated, since the first
- 2:19:48Speaker 13: tribes fought each other. There are no rules to war, realistically. Okay, so...
- 2:19:55Speaker 13: All's fair in love and war.
- 2:19:57Speaker 6: But you know and understand what it took for us
- 2:20:00Speaker 6: to completely destroy the cultures of Germany and Japan so
- 2:20:04Speaker 6: that they're The regimes could be changed. You don't change
- 2:20:08Speaker 6: regime typically by taking out leaders. You change a regime
- 2:20:11Speaker 6: by destroying a country and taking away its will and culture.
- 2:20:14Speaker 6: And that's what we did in those two.
- 2:20:19Speaker 13: In all those instances, the sad thing about that, and
- 2:20:21Speaker 13: I think this is the same, I think probably 70%
- 2:20:24Speaker 13: to 80% of the Iranian people, from a lot of
- 2:20:27Speaker 13: the stuff that I've read, would just like to see
- 2:20:28Speaker 13: this end and go on and get on with their
- 2:20:31Speaker 13: lives and try and make a living and feed their
- 2:20:33Speaker 13: families again. I think that was true in Japan and Germany, too.
- 2:20:37Speaker 13: But the ruling class... That may or may not be true,
- 2:20:39Speaker 13: but I'm not going to take out the ruling class.
- 2:20:41Speaker 13: It's not going to happen.
- 2:20:44Speaker 6: So that may or may not be true, but I
- 2:20:45Speaker 6: don't even think it's that particularly relevant. First of all,
- 2:20:48Speaker 6: the polling we're seeing is all manipulated. There's nothing real
- 2:20:50Speaker 6: about it. But we don't really know what the feelings
- 2:20:54Speaker 6: are on the streets of the cities of Iran.
- 2:20:56Speaker 13: We don't know.
- 2:20:57Speaker 6: As a matter of fact, it's almost a pure blackout.
- 2:21:00Speaker 6: I don't remember another conflict. where we had so little reporting,
- 2:21:03Speaker 6: so little information flow, so little intel that was legitimate
- 2:21:07Speaker 6: from inside the war zone. We haven't seen anything like
- 2:21:11Speaker 6: this in a long time. I don't remember this before.
- 2:21:13Speaker 6: So I don't think we really know what's going on
- 2:21:16Speaker 6: inside the minds of the Iranians. I will agree with
- 2:21:20Speaker 6: you entirely that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.
- 2:21:23Speaker 5: Agreed.
- 2:21:24Speaker 24: Let me come back to the question.
- 2:21:26Speaker 6: Why would you start this war now? And why would
- 2:21:30Speaker 6: you do this? So Iran can't have a nuclear weapon, great.
- 2:21:34Speaker 13: Why this? Well, I think what they were worried about
- 2:21:38Speaker 13: was if they dig out that nuclear dust that's buried
- 2:21:41Speaker 13: under there, which, you know, it's not that technical to
- 2:21:44Speaker 13: get down there. You start digging, eventually you're going to
- 2:21:46Speaker 13: find it. They said today on the news they've already,
- 2:21:49Speaker 13: all the entrances to those big complexes where they stored
- 2:21:52Speaker 13: their missiles and equipment underground, they've dug out two-thirds of
- 2:21:55Speaker 13: them already. So they're going to probably have access to
- 2:21:58Speaker 13: a lot of stuff that got buried, unfortunately. These people
- 2:22:02Speaker 13: are religious ideologues that are going to stop..
- 2:22:04Speaker 6: No, no, no, I don't want to go to the ideologues.
- 2:22:06Speaker 6: Hold on, stop, stop, stop. Don't go to the ideology.
- 2:22:09Speaker 6: Let's stay on this nuclear threat. Why do you think
- 2:22:12Speaker 6: there was a nuclear threat coming from Iran? Is it
- 2:22:15Speaker 6: just because you hear that in the news? I mean,
- 2:22:17Speaker 6: that's the globalist message. You're going to hear that on
- 2:22:20Speaker 6: Fox News. You're going to hear that on all that,
- 2:22:22Speaker 6: but sure.
- 2:22:23Speaker 24: Why?
- 2:22:24Speaker 13: You had 1,200 pounds of nuclear material enriched to 60%,
- 2:22:28Speaker 13: which is what, a couple days through a cascade before
- 2:22:30Speaker 13: it's at 90 and can be made into a bomb.
- 2:22:34Speaker 6: So you've been hearing that your whole life?
- 2:22:36Speaker 13: Your whole life.
- 2:22:37Speaker 6: You've been hearing that your whole life. So your whole
- 2:22:39Speaker 6: life you've been hearing that. Why do you think that
- 2:22:41Speaker 6: Iran is a nuclear threat at this time? They are
- 2:22:44Speaker 6: not a nuclear threat at this time. So they're not
- 2:22:51Speaker 6: a nuclear threat at this time, but it was imperative
- 2:22:53Speaker 6: that we go in there and take this attack on
- 2:22:56Speaker 6: the United States. And I don't mean the attack from Iran.
- 2:22:59Speaker 6: I mean the attack of increased inflation and the gas prices. Now,
- 2:23:03Speaker 6: I know where the inflation numbers are. It actually is
- 2:23:05Speaker 6: quite low. That's not what people are feeling. I know
- 2:23:08Speaker 6: that our energy prices are actually lower than they were
- 2:23:11Speaker 6: when Biden was in office, and they were high then
- 2:23:14Speaker 6: because of Biden's policies. You see, I know all that
- 2:23:16Speaker 6: because I'm looking at things in a different way. But
- 2:23:19Speaker 6: I will tell you where the emotional zeitgeist of this
- 2:23:21Speaker 6: country is, is that this war was not our war,
- 2:23:24Speaker 6: and it wasn't, obviously, that this war was dictated by
- 2:23:27Speaker 6: a foreign power. I've read the quotes on the air
- 2:23:30Speaker 6: saying that that is so. that we launched it just
- 2:23:34Speaker 6: before the midterms. Now, I believe the timing was critical,
- 2:23:37Speaker 6: because Netanyahu was afraid that Trump wouldn't have the political
- 2:23:42Speaker 6: influence after the midterms to do it, because he was
- 2:23:45Speaker 6: afraid we were going to lose the midterms. Or he knows, maybe.
- 2:23:48Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 2:23:49Speaker 6: So I think that was the critical timing element, was
- 2:23:53Speaker 6: that he wanted this done before we got to the midterms.
- 2:23:55Speaker 6: I don't think, and by the way, it's not that
- 2:23:57Speaker 6: I just don't think, After we did this destruction last year,
- 2:24:00Speaker 6: which we were told was going to end the nuclear program,
- 2:24:03Speaker 6: the next week they started saying, oh, it wasn't all there,
- 2:24:06Speaker 6: it was all over the country. The next week they
- 2:24:10Speaker 6: started telling us a totally different narrative. Because just like
- 2:24:13Speaker 6: in Trump's first term with that stupid episode with the drone,
- 2:24:16Speaker 6: where they tried to start a war over drone, and
- 2:24:19Speaker 6: now we've had every single day of our lives been
- 2:24:22Speaker 6: told since the day the Ayatollah took out that we
- 2:24:25Speaker 6: have to go to war with Iran right now. And
- 2:24:28Speaker 6: this is the only chance they got to do it
- 2:24:30Speaker 6: because they had that much influence with Trump. He was
- 2:24:32Speaker 6: that overconfident. And they were able to create this narrative.
- 2:24:36Speaker 6: But why didn't Tulsi Gabbard come out and say, oh, yeah,
- 2:24:39Speaker 6: that is a problem? Why did Tulsi Gabbard not say that?
- 2:24:44Speaker 13: I think a lot of people, you have to remember,
- 2:24:46Speaker 13: this was started within, what, a month, month and a
- 2:24:48Speaker 13: half after the Venezuela operation. And I think Trump looked
- 2:24:52Speaker 13: at the midterms as being shaky and figured, oh, what
- 2:24:55Speaker 13: we did in Venezuela, we can, you know, if we
- 2:24:57Speaker 13: did it there, we can probably do the same thing
- 2:24:58Speaker 13: in Iran. I'll look great and we'll win the midterms.
- 2:25:02Speaker 13: That's personally why I think he started it.
- 2:25:04Speaker 6: That may be what he was thinking, but why didn't Dr.
- 2:25:07Speaker 13: Gabbard come out?
- 2:25:08Speaker 24: Oh, no question.
- 2:25:10Speaker 6: I mean, they told us that publicly. Why didn't the
- 2:25:14Speaker 6: ODNI come out and confirm that there was a nuclear
- 2:25:17Speaker 6: threat coming from Iran? In fact, why did she come
- 2:25:19Speaker 6: out and say the opposite?
- 2:25:23Speaker 13: I probably, cause you don't want to cross Trump. Cause
- 2:25:25Speaker 13: maybe the crosses Trump ends up outside on the outside,
- 2:25:28Speaker 13: not on the inside.
- 2:25:29Speaker 24: It's what you're saying.
- 2:25:30Speaker 6: There was, she, the reason she didn't come out and
- 2:25:33Speaker 6: say there was a nuclear threat is because it wasn't real.
- 2:25:36Speaker 6: We had, there was not an imminent nuclear threat from Iran.
- 2:25:40Speaker 24: No, no.
- 2:25:40Speaker 13: And I mean, that's, but there was not an imminent
- 2:25:43Speaker 13: nuclear threat in what was it? 94 when Clinton was
- 2:25:46Speaker 13: told to take out North Korea, they were not in
- 2:25:48Speaker 13: an imminent nuclear threat. They shortly thereafter became one. And
- 2:25:51Speaker 13: I think we were at the same point in time
- 2:25:53Speaker 13: with Iran.
- 2:25:54Speaker 2: No.
- 2:25:55Speaker 6: The reason the ODI did not come out and say
- 2:25:58Speaker 6: this is an essential war and repeat the narrative is
- 2:26:02Speaker 6: because the narrative was false, just like every war that
- 2:26:04Speaker 6: they started in your lifetime. And the one they didn't
- 2:26:08Speaker 6: get to start with, that liberty. And the reason I
- 2:26:09Speaker 6: bring that up is the anniversary was a couple days ago. And,
- 2:26:12Speaker 6: you know, the veterans who survived and are still alive
- 2:26:15Speaker 6: are still talking about it. And, of course, all the
- 2:26:17Speaker 6: videos from the cap that everything played, that was designed
- 2:26:19Speaker 6: to get us deeper into a war.
- 2:26:21Speaker 13: Didn't work.
- 2:26:22Speaker 6: It didn't work because the Mayday signal went out and
- 2:26:25Speaker 6: because some of the jets scrambled to respond from the
- 2:26:27Speaker 6: carriers nearby, and they were told by LGBTQ, by the president, LBJ,
- 2:26:35Speaker 6: to get back on the boats and tie those birds down.
- 2:26:38Speaker 6: Do not defend the liberty.
- 2:26:40Speaker 5: Okay?
- 2:26:41Speaker 6: That was designed for what? That was a false flag to.
- 2:26:44Speaker 13: Get us in the war.
- 2:26:45Speaker 6: The weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, one.
- 2:26:47Speaker 13: Two, false.
- 2:26:49Speaker 6: The whole setup with Kuwait and Iraq won.
- 2:26:52Speaker 13: False.
- 2:26:52Speaker 7: Right?
- 2:26:53Speaker 6: All orchestrated. This was the same thing.
- 2:26:55Speaker 24: That's my point.
- 2:26:56Speaker 6: So you're saying it was essential we do it because
- 2:26:58Speaker 6: of a nuclear threat that you admit did not exist?
- 2:27:03Speaker 13: Was it an imminent nuclear threat?
- 2:27:05Speaker 1: It was not.
- 2:27:05Speaker 13: I 100% agree with you on that.
- 2:27:08Speaker 6: Do you know what was imminent?
- 2:27:09Speaker 1: The midterms.
- 2:27:10Speaker 6: And what was imminent? He had beaten inflation. Trump's popularity
- 2:27:14Speaker 6: was growing dramatically. He was addressing the domestic agenda. There
- 2:27:18Speaker 6: was a fight in the White House by a small
- 2:27:21Speaker 6: team that was saying stay focused on domestic, and by
- 2:27:24Speaker 6: the big team that included a lot of different people,
- 2:27:26Speaker 6: including the folks from Israel who were saying, we've got
- 2:27:29Speaker 6: to go do this war, we've got to do it now.
- 2:27:31Speaker 6: Do you remember the moment in time when everybody started
- 2:27:33Speaker 6: calling shows like this and saying, you know, I've been
- 2:27:35Speaker 6: giving it some thought, and suddenly I think jd vance
- 2:27:38Speaker 6: probably isn't the right guy i think it's probably marco
- 2:27:41Speaker 6: remember when that happened it was a precise moment in
- 2:27:42Speaker 6: time it happened like all over the country people said
- 2:27:45Speaker 6: the same thing as if they thought of it themselves
- 2:27:48Speaker 6: that's exactly the point at which that fight occurred jd
- 2:27:52Speaker 6: vance lost The globalists won. The neocons won. Mark Levin won.
- 2:27:57Speaker 6: And we decided to launch a war headed into the
- 2:27:59Speaker 6: midterms that was absolutely not necessary at that time. And
- 2:28:05Speaker 6: that's why I'm... If we lose control of this country,
- 2:28:08Speaker 6: if this country goes back to the lunatics, and you're
- 2:28:10Speaker 6: seeing what they're doing in L.A., you're seeing what they're
- 2:28:13Speaker 6: doing in California... If this thing goes back to lunatics,
- 2:28:15Speaker 6: it's over. Now, Israel doesn't care because they control both sides.
- 2:28:20Speaker 6: When they wanted this new defense authorization amendment, they just
- 2:28:23Speaker 6: send instructions to Marlon Stutzman. He writes it up.
- 2:28:26Speaker 7: Boom.
- 2:28:27Speaker 6: It's all over media. It's got to happen. It's about efficiency.
- 2:28:30Speaker 6: They're partners, not recipients of aid anymore. And all of
- 2:28:34Speaker 6: a sudden, we've got to give them unlimited access to funds, intel,
- 2:28:38Speaker 6: and technology. That's incredible influence.
- 2:28:41Speaker 13: How do you get that?
- 2:28:41Speaker 6: You take out thomas massey with thirty million dollars they
- 2:28:46Speaker 6: go over the net brag about it all the white
- 2:28:48Speaker 6: all over the capitol hill and brag about it so
- 2:28:51Speaker 6: i don't i i just can't i can't pretend that
- 2:28:54Speaker 6: we're doing this because it has some interest in the
- 2:28:56Speaker 6: united states for that there was an imminent nuclear threat
- 2:28:58Speaker 6: neither of those are true i don't know that that's the.
- 2:29:02Speaker 13: Problem other than i think if you know and we
- 2:29:06Speaker 13: can go but you know i i'm not saying i
- 2:29:08Speaker 13: was an advocate for us going in starting this war
- 2:29:10Speaker 13: I was not. I would have probably said, you know,
- 2:29:13Speaker 13: not now. There's no reason to. But the fact that
- 2:29:16Speaker 13: we did it, I think now, you know, you broke it,
- 2:29:18Speaker 13: you bought it, now you pretty much got to try
- 2:29:20Speaker 13: and fix it. And if you can fix it... If
- 2:29:24Speaker 13: you can get out of this, if we can extricate
- 2:29:26Speaker 13: ourselves from this and do it in a way that
- 2:29:28Speaker 13: Iran is defanged, I don't think that's a bad thing
- 2:29:32Speaker 13: long-term for the world. That's all I'm saying. I completely agree.
- 2:29:36Speaker 13: Five years. And you've said this. I think the people
- 2:29:40Speaker 13: that say we are losing this war are complete and
- 2:29:43Speaker 13: total imbeciles. There's no way in any measure that you
- 2:29:47Speaker 13: can say we're losing this war other than we've lost
- 2:29:50Speaker 13: it in public opinion. But militarily, economically, every other way,
- 2:29:55Speaker 13: Iran is in a much, much worse shape than they
- 2:29:58Speaker 13: were before this started, and it's going to take them
- 2:30:00Speaker 13: decades before they can recover from it. They're an industrial complex.
- 2:30:03Speaker 1: It's going to be a long time.
- 2:30:05Speaker 6: It's going to be a long time. This won't happen overnight.
- 2:30:09Speaker 13: But I don't think it's a bad thing. Here's my
- 2:30:12Speaker 13: question for you. How do you feel about what they're
- 2:30:14Speaker 13: trying to do with destabilizing and overthrowing Cuba?
- 2:30:19Speaker 1: Well, that's a whole other topic. Let me take more
- 2:30:21Speaker 1: calls before we get into other stuff. All right, so
- 2:30:24Speaker 1: we'll get to that some other night. All right, Rich,
- 2:30:26Speaker 1: you're on the air. How you doing, G2?
- 2:30:30Speaker 26: Man, I love you, man. You have a lot of information.
- 2:30:34Speaker 26: I'm a Palestinian-American, so you know. I wanted to tell you.
- 2:30:39Speaker 26: I'm a Palestinian-American.
- 2:30:41Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead.
- 2:30:42Speaker 26: Okay, I want to tell you something. When you have
- 2:30:46Speaker 26: Netanyahu and Levine... telling our president what to do. I believe,
- 2:30:51Speaker 26: you know, we've been almost 40 years trying to attack Iran,
- 2:30:54Speaker 26: and they found a weak person to do it, which
- 2:30:57Speaker 26: is Trump. And let me tell you something about the
- 2:31:01Speaker 26: Iranian people. They have the will to fight. They fought
- 2:31:06Speaker 26: the Iraqis for eight years. They lost a million. They're
- 2:31:09Speaker 26: willing to lose 10 million. The news media here in
- 2:31:12Speaker 26: the United States is controlled by the Israelis. I mean,
- 2:31:16Speaker 26: everybody knows that. Okay, you'll never see two-sided news. You
- 2:31:21Speaker 26: see what they did in Gaza, genocide 80,000, they killed 80,000,
- 2:31:25Speaker 26: nothing had been done. As an American, as a Palestinian American,
- 2:31:30Speaker 26: I went to Palestine, okay? I was there last summer.
- 2:31:34Speaker 26: Me and my kids and that, I take them every year.
- 2:31:36Speaker 26: This year, we might go late even, okay? The treatment,
- 2:31:42Speaker 26: the treatment of Palestinian Americans, even Palestinians there in general,
- 2:31:47Speaker 26: Our third-class citizens, okay? They already killed over 20 Palestinian
- 2:31:51Speaker 26: Americans over there, and nobody did anything over here. This
- 2:31:55Speaker 26: is how much control they have over here. If you
- 2:31:57Speaker 26: go into the AIPAC track, which is a website, AIPAC track,
- 2:32:03Speaker 26: and you see how much money and funds they support,
- 2:32:06Speaker 26: anybody who says anything negative against Israel, okay, you'll see
- 2:32:11Speaker 26: how strong they are in the United States. Of course,
- 2:32:15Speaker 26: they control Trump, too. when they donated three hundred million
- 2:32:19Speaker 26: dollars for his election. What I'm telling you is you'll
- 2:32:24Speaker 26: never be able to defeat people who are willing to
- 2:32:28Speaker 26: fight to die for what they believe in. Iran is
- 2:32:31Speaker 26: one of them. Hezbollah is one of them. Hezbollah, you
- 2:32:35Speaker 26: cannot defeat Hezbollah. You know in the south of Lebanon
- 2:32:39Speaker 26: they defended ten Christian villages And the Israeli army destroyed
- 2:32:45Speaker 26: 40 villages, wiped them out like they did in Gaza. Okay,
- 2:32:49Speaker 26: and it's not even mentioned here in the United States
- 2:32:52Speaker 26: news about the 10 villages. Christian villages. Okay, and you
- 2:32:57Speaker 26: talk about this guy, what's his name? Baba Ghanoush, he's Lebanese.
- 2:33:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:33:03Speaker 26: But he might as well say he's not even Lebanese.
- 2:33:05Speaker 26: Because if he don't defend his own people, okay, originally
- 2:33:09Speaker 26: where he come from, And he had Hezbollah defending Christian villages.
- 2:33:15Speaker 26: That's showing you how much we are so erased and
- 2:33:19Speaker 26: wiped out and uneducated about what's going on. We're so
- 2:33:23Speaker 26: arrogant and ignorant about what's going on there. You cannot
- 2:33:28Speaker 26: defeat people that are willing to die for what they
- 2:33:31Speaker 26: believe in. Palestinians, Lebanese, Iranians. And we need to be...
- 2:33:37Speaker 26: Take care of stuff here. Take care of stuff in
- 2:33:39Speaker 26: the United States. Quit listening to Netanyahu in Israel. They've
- 2:33:43Speaker 26: been telling us what to do. They've been grabbing our
- 2:33:45Speaker 26: billions of dollars. They took already $ 340 billion from us.
- 2:33:49Speaker 26: They're taking more than that. And they killed Americans like
- 2:33:52Speaker 26: everybody else. Liberty, USS Liberty, if you heard about it.
- 2:33:57Speaker 26: Yesterday was its anniversary. I mean, we need to get educated.
- 2:34:02Speaker 26: Look outside of our news. United States news is controlled
- 2:34:07Speaker 26: from CNN to Fox to everywhere else. You need to
- 2:34:11Speaker 26: go out to see what, and then when you talk
- 2:34:13Speaker 26: about the Iran, Khomeini's funeral, they had tens of millions
- 2:34:19Speaker 26: of people going out to his funeral and didn't support him.
- 2:34:23Speaker 26: And why is tens of millions of people going out
- 2:34:26Speaker 26: and demonstrating support of them? Believe me, when you attack,
- 2:34:31Speaker 26: a country, they're going to stand together more.
- 2:34:34Speaker 1: Don't believe in.
- 2:34:36Speaker 26: The 70-80% being not supportive.
- 2:34:40Speaker 1: I think this guy makes some excellent points. Give him
- 2:34:42Speaker 1: a quick response so we can move along. Caller, I
- 2:34:45Speaker 1: appreciate your insight into all of this. I think when
- 2:34:49Speaker 1: he's talking about that funeral, he's bringing up a lot
- 2:34:51Speaker 1: of excellent points.
- 2:34:52Speaker 20: G2 is excellent.
- 2:34:53Speaker 24: I don't call much.
- 2:34:54Speaker 26: I'm trying to stay away from the..
- 2:34:56Speaker 1: I know, but go ahead and respond to.
- 2:34:57Speaker 2: Him, G2.
- 2:35:00Speaker 6: This thing in Lebanon, I can tell you with absolute
- 2:35:03Speaker 6: certainty that there are Lebanese who look at Hezbollah as
- 2:35:05Speaker 6: defending them against Israel, and they believe that if Israel
- 2:35:07Speaker 6: comes in, I'm talking about Christians, Christian Lebanese, that Israel
- 2:35:11Speaker 6: will wipe them out, that Israel intends to wipe them out.
- 2:35:14Speaker 6: And these villages have been leveled. And they'll say, well,
- 2:35:17Speaker 6: we killed a Lebanese Hezbollah commander, but they don't mention
- 2:35:21Speaker 6: everybody else that lived in the building they just razed.
- 2:35:24Speaker 6: What's going on in Lebanon is astonishing to me in
- 2:35:27Speaker 6: that it's not getting more international attention. I don't know
- 2:35:31Speaker 6: how it is being hidden. There's a lot of truth
- 2:35:35Speaker 6: in what he just said about Lebanon. And, of course,
- 2:35:38Speaker 6: the treatment of Palestinians in Gaza and in West Bank
- 2:35:42Speaker 6: and the Christians there and others, it's rough. So that
- 2:35:46Speaker 6: doesn't mean I hate Israel. I'm not anti— I went to
- 2:35:50Speaker 6: Seder dinner with a brilliant guy who invited us into
- 2:35:53Speaker 6: his home for Seder. But you just can't ignore the fact—
- 2:35:58Speaker 6: that this thing in Lebanon is absolutely crazy and that
- 2:36:03Speaker 6: the kill ratio in Gaza is complete. It is designed
- 2:36:08Speaker 6: to terraform the country. That's exactly what I expected to
- 2:36:12Speaker 6: happen the minute October 7 was announced, that it had happened.
- 2:36:16Speaker 6: And when you look at the 25 by 4 space
- 2:36:19Speaker 6: of Gaza, 25 miles wide, about four miles deep or
- 2:36:22Speaker 6: about that, It is warm water Mediterranean beachfront that has
- 2:36:25Speaker 6: not been properly developed. Now, part of this is to
- 2:36:28Speaker 6: the fault of the people in charge. The PLO guy,
- 2:36:33Speaker 6: Yasser Arafat, that guy had $ 3 billion in cash at
- 2:36:36Speaker 6: one point. When he died, he still had $ 900 million.
- 2:36:38Speaker 6: That was all our money that he just kept. He
- 2:36:40Speaker 6: didn't use it to develop Gaza. And if you look
- 2:36:43Speaker 6: at this Hamas group, they got this $ 11 billion trust
- 2:36:46Speaker 6: in this one group over in Qatar.
- 2:36:49Speaker 13: And where are they?
- 2:36:50Speaker 6: Instead of building tunnels, why aren't they building infrastructure that
- 2:36:53Speaker 6: can help their people?
- 2:36:54Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:36:54Speaker 6: This is a really complicated situation.
- 2:36:56Speaker 24: Can I answer a couple of questions?
- 2:36:58Speaker 1: You've got to do it quick, man. I've got seconds remaining. Go, quickly.
- 2:37:01Speaker 26: Listen, in Gaza, Hamas, I'm not a supporter of Hamas.
- 2:37:05Speaker 26: I'm half Christian, half Muslim.
- 2:37:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:37:08Speaker 26: Hamas built churches.
- 2:37:11Speaker 1: Stand by, caller. Just hang on. I'll let him make
- 2:37:14Speaker 1: a few more points, and we'll come back with more.
- 2:37:18Speaker 14: News Radio 570 WKBN. All right, we've got to move
- 2:37:22Speaker 14: along here rather quickly. You've got to make some quick
- 2:37:24Speaker 14: points because I've got to move along. And it's got
- 2:37:26Speaker 14: to be quick, so go.
- 2:37:26Speaker 26: If you remember when Yasser Arafat was the president, he
- 2:37:30Speaker 26: supported a two-state solution, and Israel conned him and lied
- 2:37:34Speaker 26: to him and built more settlements, and they took.
- 2:37:37Speaker 1: Over more land.
- 2:37:38Speaker 26: So the Israelis never want peace. They want a land grab,
- 2:37:41Speaker 26: and that's what they're doing in Lebanon and Syria and
- 2:37:43Speaker 26: everywhere else. The Zionist idea is to expand and take
- 2:37:48Speaker 26: over the Middle East. And so that's all I got
- 2:37:50Speaker 26: to say. But we support a two-state solution. And the Israelis,
- 2:37:55Speaker 26: they built more settlements and they killed more Palestinians. And
- 2:37:58Speaker 26: that's what caused the problems and the conflict to get worse.
- 2:38:01Speaker 1: And just a quick comment from the caller. So you
- 2:38:05Speaker 1: think that Trump got into a beehive's nest here, that
- 2:38:08Speaker 1: it's going to be difficult to get out?
- 2:38:09Speaker 26: They found a fool to follow him, which Israel told them.
- 2:38:13Speaker 1: So you don't, I just want to ask you a question,
- 2:38:15Speaker 1: you don't think that Iran's going to reach some deal
- 2:38:18Speaker 1: anytime soon?
- 2:38:20Speaker 26: They will reach with respect. If they get disrespected, then
- 2:38:24Speaker 26: they're not going to listen to them. You notice they
- 2:38:25Speaker 26: ignore them when he talks to his bull. So believe me,
- 2:38:29Speaker 26: if they don't get their way and their respect, they're
- 2:38:31Speaker 26: willing to last for another 10, 20 years and keep
- 2:38:33Speaker 26: on fighting.
- 2:38:35Speaker 1: Would you say quickly, if I would ask you, most
- 2:38:38Speaker 1: of us don't understand the culture. Would you agree with that?
- 2:38:41Speaker 26: The culture is way different over there. They have the
- 2:38:43Speaker 26: hard fight, keep on fighting. The Palestinians fighting for 75
- 2:38:47Speaker 26: years since the occupation. So they're willing to fight until
- 2:38:52Speaker 26: the things happen.
- 2:38:53Speaker 1: So this idea, the boy, we got to buy the
- 2:38:56Speaker 1: boot on the throat here economically and that kind of stuff.
- 2:38:59Speaker 1: Your comment is that you think they will wait us out.
- 2:39:04Speaker 26: They will weigh us out way, way more. Believe me,
- 2:39:06Speaker 26: more than that.
- 2:39:07Speaker 6: And believe me, they get ways.
- 2:39:08Speaker 26: To get funded and get money, and they go through Pakistan.
- 2:39:12Speaker 26: And their Air Force, 90% of it is in Pakistan
- 2:39:15Speaker 26: International Airport, if you want to look it up. So
- 2:39:18Speaker 26: don't believe in anything they tell you here that everything
- 2:39:21Speaker 26: is destroyed. Everything is in Pakistan or in Russia. When
- 2:39:24Speaker 26: the Air Force got attacked, they already moved their stuff around.
