[rock music] Million Bikes is ride!
• 0:07
[rock music] Yeah. [laughs] That was louder than I was- Well, it's just like-... anticipating.
• 0:24
[laughs] Because it- I'm kind of in shock right now- There's like-... so don't mind me. [laughs] There's like no- I'll be quiet for a little while now. [laughs] Well, there's no lead up to it, so it's just like- Ah...
• 0:32
you know, I just- Cold open. Cold open... otherwise you're kind of fading into it and it's like, "Ah." I might have pooped a little. I heard you poop in your pants before. Pants. Oh, you're gonna take my hand. All right.
• 0:46
Hey, it's Full Spectrum Cycling. This is show 292. Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. 292. Dun, dun, dun, dun. It just sounds like- Yeah, it did-... from 242... it did solely rhyme with 242. From 242.
• 0:59
That was fif- 50 shows ago. Yeah, yeah, but it- Still... it has that same rhythm We're-... of-... bringing it back. Let's see. If we switch to, let's see here. Hm. Yeah, this camera. That one.
• 1:11
You can see the new artwork behind, uh, Tony and JK above and below the new ski. We, Tony... Well, Tony and I, Michael, had dog duty, I think. When- [laughs] Yeah. But, yes...
• 1:24
we, we went to the WMSE Art Auction and Music shindiggery at, uh- Thanks for the beer... the Pritts Off. Oh, you're welcome. That's 'cause, uh, Ryan graced me with a couple tickets to- Kind of, kind of...
• 1:35
Yeah, no one knows me 'cause I have this ridiculous hair on my face. [laughs] You never chased him down is really the problem. I tried to find him, I couldn't. [laughs] It goes on. Anyway, it was a fun time.
• 1:43
He was, he was, he was hiding from you. [laughs] Probably. So you didn't have to, uh- Who's the creeper homeless guy in here? Yeah. Yeah. [laughs] How, how'd he get in without a ticket? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
• 1:51
Uh- Yeah, I was corresponding via the text messengery. Yeah, I thought maybe- And I mean, I was, I was gonna drop in- I thought maybe you would go for the Billy Odd, Odd Cafe one, but- Yeah. I wa- was going to.
• 2:02
Hard Rock, man. Hard Rock. But by the time it... But by the time I was, "Okay, I got time to sit here," and whatever, it was past the price point I was gonna- It's fair... go with. It's fair. Yeah.
• 2:13
It's like, okay, well, good on you. I, uh- You know?... I take a lot of pride in bidding up, uh, Eric Von Mund's, uh- Yeah... Jack Whites. That was, that was- I got those babies- Okay... up to 400 bucks each.
• 2:23
[laughs] So- Even though they went for seven... so they got Ryan, right? You know Ryan, Tall Ryan. Yeah. And then is M- is Mitch the one that's still there, or did he leave? Mitch is- No, Mitch was the guy-...
• 2:33
shorter and bearded... from Lakefront who is, I believe, still there. Okay. So I went to pick up my artwork, um, yesterday, and he's like, "I was bidding up some stuff." [laughs] Oh, on purpose?
• 2:46
But he's won things before too. He's like, "Yeah, this is just a-" Or was it Jeff? I... One of the- Artist Jeff. Art- Well, one of the two guys that used to be there is gone- I-...
• 2:54
and there's a new guy now, and he was there, but I don't remember his name. [laughs] I was definitely... I was very pleased to see what, what the Von Munds went for and very happy to get it over the $300 mark- [laughs]
• 3:08
... each. Yeah. Which was just... 'Cause I knew I was gonna keep getting outbid. But, but you got a Von Munds. I did, in fact, get a Von Munds. See, the... I think the thing is the other two are Jack White oriented.
• 3:16
Right. Right. Right? So. Well, this one's even better. They were racing off each other. Yeah, no, I, I agree. But I, for the amount of money, I would totally go with finding a print that somebody has, I'm sure. Right.
• 3:29
It's fi- easy enough. I'm just pretty ex- Or go to the source... I'm pretty excited. I'm sure and saying- I'm, you know... "Come on, you got me hold on one of those." Yeah, I think it m- it worked out well.
• 3:37
I, I just like... I set up a computer for a guy today at UWM who said his son is graduating from MSE this year, and I could help, could not help but notice, he had zero WMSE paraphernalia anywhere in his building.
• 3:55
Whoa. I'm like, "I am wearing three WMSE garments as we speak." [laughs] Yeah. It doesn't seem like he's into it m- that much. But anyway. So yeah, two of them on the wall. Uh, th- that's the third one in the box.
• 4:07
That's one that Wendy wanted. You could just- Can I open it? Yeah, let's see what it- Oh.
• 4:11
[laughs] So I wanted the other one, but that one I, I didn't get in on the bidding quite fast enough to get the third or the second- Oh, that's pretty cool... the second version of it. Yeah, it went to- Oh, yeah, yeah.
• 4:25
It turned out- The middle camera. Yeah, it turned out nice. Yeah. Uh- It's got some nice texture. I know you like- Right... a textured print. Gotta have some texture. I agree. I agree. You can't have stuff that's flat.
• 4:35
That, that- Um, that was actually Wendy's choice, so, um, that went well too. Happy Valentine's Day, Wendy. Well, yeah, except it's staying at the shop. [laughs] Fuck you, Wendy.
• 4:45
[laughs] At least for, at least, at least for now. Um- I like it. Yeah, so, um, I didn't get the new ski I wanted, but that's okay 'cause it went for a lot of money.
• 4:56
And what happens, I think I've seen over the past several years, is that one year you'll get a good deal on one. Mm-hmm. The next year, though, not quite as much. Mm-hmm. They...
• 5:05
If they're the same artist and they keep going, like- Yep... I w- I gotta get the, um, Mark Winter that I have hiding under there on the wall, but it weighs a ton 'cause it's metal. Yep. That was like a under 200.
• 5:16
I don't remember the exact number. That's a, that's a, uh- You said down fur there. It's a piece of fur. Wow. Um- Fur... but the one this year went for $647 or $57. I'm like, "Oops." Wow.
• 5:29
It was really cool, but I'm not that rich, so. Anyway, that was the- Biggest painting, 2010? $2,010? Yep. Wow. I believe that was Mark Winter's wife is what I was led to believe. Is that right?
• 5:42
I also talked to his mom for around 20 minutes. Wow. Well, they made a... This was a good... I think this was a good art and music auction. Yeah. Music and art, whatever they call it. It was a good day. Yeah.
• 5:52
It was a- Oh, yeah... a fun time. So, um, [laughs] on Friday, there, um, I stopped in at Uptowner. This is a good segue too. Um, [laughs] 'cause Uptowner All right. Clever Michael. Hey, just, uh, uh, what do you know?
• 6:09
Um- They have a piece by, uh, uh, Kai, uh, Marquardt, I think. It's the b- It was the, uh, the Buddha holding the- Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm... the boom box. Oh, right on. Yep. There's a piece on the wall, same artist,
• 6:28
at Towner. So I'm staring, like right at it, and it's everything except th- the boom box on it. So it was funny. I'm just like, "Oh, shit, da, da, da, da, gotta see where that's at and whatever."
• 6:37
And as I'm saying it, the, the guy standing next to me is- He's like, "I did that." He's... No, he's the artist for a different one, the MSE owl- Oh, yeah... that was in there... that was cool. That was cool.
• 6:46
So he dropped his card on me, and it was just like, "Oh, yeah, yeah." That's cool. Yeah. Picking up some cards is a good idea. So then like that. And it was like, "Oh, that's funny. Oh, yeah. Well, timing."
• 6:53
I'm just like, "Oh, okay, yeah. Where are you at?" He ended up at, at 170. Yep. Okay. Which worked out. And it started really low. It was really amazing. I m- might've been the first bidder in that.
• 7:02
So- The Attempted Murder of Crows was looking nice. That was great. You know, but it went for 4 freaking hundred. Oh, yeah. It's like son of a gun.
• 7:08
It was, Molly and I both looked at her like, "Oh, it's gonna go for a lot of money." Marks. Yeah, Mark- And-... what, what would Gary Newman do? And it was, it- That was cool... it's just named cool.
• 7:15
But Greg and I both decided too that- Cool... 80% of these looked way better in person- Yeah... than on the page. Definitely. Well, if you... Yeah, you both have probably good, uh, eyeglass wear. Well, that helps too.
• 7:29
Well, but yet they're so flat on the computer screen- Yeah... that you don't see- Well, there's the, the texture, I guess... like the one behind you- Some of them were just stunning...
• 7:35
the, the blue one that's right behind you guys, that one in the, in the- Flat... right, when you're bidding online, it didn't look like much.
• 7:43
And the deal with that one was there was like eight minutes left, and it hadn't had a bid on it yet. I'm like, "It's the only one with no bid." Got a bidder. So I'll just, I'll just bid 50 bucks on it. I think you won.
• 7:53
I think that was the actual, the deal of the day for me. All right. Next year, folks, if you're in Milwaukee, you should go to this thing. Otherwise, we're gonna stop talking about it now, 'cause otherwise- Yeah...
• 8:02
we'll talk the whole freaking show about this thing. And we should talk about punk rock, uh, rummage sale. [laughs] Punk, real quick, punk rock rummage sale was awesome. Um- I got an F-bomb. My... Yes, you did.
• 8:12
Do you have it with you? [laughs] No, I should have brought it. You should have brought it for e- everyone to see... I have it at work, so I can throw it at my coworkers. I got South American pepper jelly.
• 8:19
I- Oh, I bought some stuff from that guy, too. South American peppers. I got a, a little, a little crocheted cat for Sydney. She was very happy. That's right. I remember. That was cute. Yeah.
• 8:26
I thought you were gonna get the demon hacky sack or the devil- Yeah, that was on the, uh, having h- That was on, that was on the impulse buy... having already spent money the night before, I wasn't like- Right...
• 8:34
"I don't really wanna-" Right. "... spend this $1,000 weekend," so. I bought hot sauce and s- I bought hot sauce and sriracha. So- Original sriracha...
• 8:42
so this is tomorrow at Uptowner, but it will have been yesterday by the time the show is posted. Internet time. Um, Theresa Waite or Theresa...
• 8:49
Yeah, Theresa Waite, she has a show there, which hopefully we'll see tomorrow, but those are the three pieces on the floor over there that- Oh, yeah. That'd be cool. I should send Molly over there too with me.
• 8:59
Yeah, we had some candy. So that's, that's, that's the art, uh, segment of the show today. There you go. There you go. On the back- [laughs] We're artists. We're sensitive as shit. Right?
• 9:10
That's a fucking, uh, filthy animal from, uh, Motorhead, original cat. I'll bring that picture up. Sounds good. Ding, dong, dong. It's awesome. Uh, speaking of bike stuff, which we haven't yet. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
• 9:22
I rode my bike to- Uh, we put some of those-... Motorhead... we put some of those Inverse pedals on Tony's winter stump jumper. And- Do you want my initial update? Initial opinion. So I absolutely love
• 9:37
riding them without studs. Okay. So far. Without spikes in my shoes. Sure. So I ordered, and I forgot to... I left them at work today, but I ordered some, uh, basically some, uh, YAKTRAX,
• 9:48
you know, that you put over your boots that have spikes in them. Right. And I rode to work today with those in and realized that
• 9:58
there's a small problem there, and we will find this out, and I forgot my shoes now too, when we spike a pair of shoes. Huh? So here's the deal. I got on the bike to ride to work this morning with these YAKTRAX on. Yeah.
• 10:12
Or, or equivalent. My seat feels too low. Oh, yeah. I could see that. And the reason, of course, is, is 'cause I've got slightly taller shoes. Right. I'd wonder, I'd...
• 10:23
Well- So now my question is, here, here, as I was riding here today, I was thinking about this, 'cause I rode from my house here today without them, and I love the ride, 'cause it's just perfect seat height.
• 10:33
Everything's great. You got a- If- They have a thing with a Allen wrench. You could adjust that. Every time I fucking ride? Then- Between- Drop a-... studs... dropper post. That's my question. [laughs] Dropper post.
• 10:45
So if I got a dropper post and I put it at the highest level with the cleats, can I drop it to without? I mean, is that- Yeah, for sure... like, a eighth of an inch? Yeah.
• 10:58
It might take a little practice to figure that out, but yeah, you're like doosh, doosh, doosh. Yeah. Yeah. 'Cause I switch shoes all the time, and you get the same thing when you're wearing- So that, that's-...
• 11:07
wearing different shoes... that's my current, and granted, I've had them on for two days. Right. Tomorrow's gonna be the test with, you know, all hell breaking loose with snow and stuff. I don't believe them.
• 11:17
They're not. [laughs] It's gonna be nothing. It's gonna be absolutely fucking nothing. We'll see.
• 11:20
And i- if not in, in internet time, if you are laughing at us for having, you know, eight feet of snow, I'll also be having a great time. Yeah. We're supposed to get two actual- Two... um, events in the next few days.
• 11:32
Yeah. 8 to 10 now is what I'm hearing. Yeah. Potential. 6 to 9 was my last one. 6, 6 to 9. There's that weird fucking... [laughs] Oh, right on. Oh, yeah. [laughs] Awesome. Of...
• 11:43
uh, yeah, we get two e- we get two events, one, one coming up yesterday and then one coming up, uh, in a, in a day or two. Yeah. It's gonna be, it's gonna be snowy.
• 11:54
I'm gonna actually- And a little chilly, so it's gonna be snowy and not melty, which is gonna make for fun riding, in my opinion. Right.
• 12:00
I love it when you get to work and half of your spokes have that snow cover around them. I'm like, "That's cool." Yeah. That's cool. So I- I dig that...
• 12:08
so we should stud some of your shoes just so we can- I, yeah, absolutely... test these actual- I just forgot to bring them... studs from Inverse too. The pedals themselves are great [laughs] But, but I,
• 12:16
I do like the idea of having some way to... Unless you're gonna carry another pair of shoes with you to- Right, that's the deal. Yeah. You know? So.
• 12:23
Or you're gonna put a dropper post on your bike that doesn't currently have a way to put a dropper post on. You just get one of those ones with the little tickle-your-balls sack ones.
• 12:31
I am not gonna touch my nuts to drop my seat up and down. Doot, doot, doot, doot, doot, doot. Actually, I will. You can get an external. And they're not, uh, like, ree, spinny. They're kind of...
• 12:39
It's like you gotta put a little pressure to it for it to move around. What happened there? Kinda like your microphone. Yeah. Yeah, it just we- You were doing that... weirded out on me, and I don't think I did that.
• 12:49
I didn't do... Oh, I- You did that. I was, it was me. You did it by magic? Damn, shit. All right, pedals. So we'll get some more of that going on. Yeah.
• 12:55
Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna keep testing them and I'll give you a good solid opinion. And, uh- You know I'm worth that... so we got a couple bikes coming. [sighs] For the, mostly for the fatbike.com thing. Oh.
• 13:07
But, um- This is gonna be so hot... one of 'em is a Bear Claw Bruno titanium fat bike frame. Oof. It's gonna be so pretty. Right? And I actually spent my own personal money on that one. So it's yours. But, well, for now.
• 13:21
[laughs] Yeah. But that means that I have another titanium fat bike frame that I don't actually need anymore. Will you sell that for crypto cards? I, the, may- I'm not [laughs]... well, yeah, I don't know.
• 13:32
I mean, crypto's on its way down or has been, so might be another deal where I could maybe- Lose your ass... make out on that or lose my ass. Uh, it is a Chumba Ursa Major titanium fat bike frame in a size small.
• 13:43
A small. It's my size. It's a beautiful frame. I'd be divorced. Yeah, it'll probably sell for about half what it was originally or something. And then, uh, we- You're gonna just move all the parts over. Right, yeah.
• 13:57
Yeah. Pretty much they're all very... I don't know that I'll have to buy anything or pull anything off the shelf.
• 14:03
The, think it's all, put everything on there and it'll be fine so I don't have to buy any more parts for it.
• 14:10
Uh, also we're getting a Panorama Cycles Chic Chocs 3, which is a carbon fat bike from some folks up there in Canada way. Eh. And, uh, that's coming- Gonna stop that...
• 14:21
that's coming to us from Alberta, Canada, where it's being tested currently, but that is a, another review bike that we'll have- We-... here in a w- couple of weeks, week or two, whatever. So whenever it gets here.
• 14:32
Full, full bike or frame? No, that's a full one. That's a ready to roll. So what we should do, when you are done testing it and/or maybe Michael and I get a chance to ride it, we should send it to, uh, Elroy. Elroy?
• 14:48
And let him test it. All Roy. All Roy. All Roy. All Roy, and let him- Oh, he's tall. He's big, he's a tall guy. Ah, good point. Yeah, we- He is really tall... we might have to figure out- Sorry, dude...
• 14:56
maybe he can find one because they have, like one or two at this point, dealers in the United States, but they got a bunch up in Canada. So there's probably one nearby him.
• 15:10
Maybe he can- But all the United States ones- Well, there's a-... are gonna go away as soon as the tariffs get involved. Eh, I don't know about that. You know where one of 'em is, I think?
• 15:16
One of the dealers is in, uh, Bentonville, Arkansas. Ugh. Okay, so here's the deal. Well, you know why? They don't get snow in Bentonville normally.
• 15:23
Benton's the fat bike, or it's the mountain bike capital of the United States. That's what they claim. Yeah, right. Well, 'cause it's Walmart. Like Moab, Utah. What, what happened to Moab?
• 15:30
[laughs] What happened to Walmart? What, you know? I hate 'em. Right. I hate Bentonville. But to be fair- Because of Walmart... those guys are spending good money on making biking cool.
• 15:38
And here's, okay, so no snow, still a fat bike shop that is doing this, right? Whatever. Uh, even though they had one episode of snow this year.
• 15:47
But they're also putting in lifts in Bentonville to shuttle people to the top of the mountain. I both hate and love that idea. That, it, it, but it's in, you know- It's a great idea [laughs]...
• 15:56
it's like a ski lift in an area that will never have skiing. Yeah, exactly. Right. Well, who cares? 'Cause you're just carting people and- That's awesome... things.
• 16:04
Maybe there should be a grocery store at the bottom of that mountain. [laughs] And you need to get your groceries back up. Right? I love that idea. I, they're certainly, uh, investing a lot of money.
• 16:13
And they're, they've got an incubator for smaller companies and, you know, like Walmart or not, I haven't been in one in 30 years for a lot of reasons, but- Maybe once...
• 16:22
the fact that at least one of the family is spending money on stuff that's actually stuff for cyclists is awesome. Well, they own a cycling company, too. They own a, a cycle,
• 16:32
um, own- I think they, what's the stuff called when you put things on? Mongoose. The Rapha stuff? Uh, don't they own Rapha? They own, they own a big- Eh, somebody owns something... gear company.
• 16:41
Mongoose, they, they swallowed Mongoose. They don't own Mongoose. No. That's, that's, uh, that crappy, uh- That's under Red Mest... Pacific Coast or whatever it's called. Pacific Cycle. Pacific Cycle.
• 16:48
[laughs] But who owns Pacific Cycle? Joe. The Walmart. Or the Walmarts. Joe Mama. Yeah, it, it could be. Pepe Silvia. Uh, so, uh, Monday. Just leave it. Monday, I got the
• 17:01
Omnium cargo bike into a vehicle heading out to Seattle- Seattle, nice... for the guy that bought it out there. That seems like a good thing. The guy that picked it up seemed really cool.
• 17:10
If you're, if you need to ship something, it's a U-Ship, uh, contractor. And he goes to various areas around the country and delivers stuff, but he is an American Ninja Warrior competitor. Eh. So he- Shut up...
• 17:24
so he always tries to find a competition at the, at the end of his route, and there happens to be one out in, near Seattle that he's gonna be doing over the weekend after he delivers a bunch of junk out there.
• 17:35
This, this isn't the one that bought the Omnium, this is the one who's delivering the Omnium? Right, the guy that's delivering it. Yeah, that's cool. That's pretty badass. Yeah, he lives in, uh, St. Louis.
• 17:42
He's trying to get a American Ninja Warrior studio. I, I, I went- What do you call it down there?... I went down that wormhole and those people are fucking wrong, man. [laughs] They're so strong and impressive. Yeah.
• 17:56
I'm- Okay, so, so here's-... I just like 'em but I don't like to brag... so I haven't watched that show or those shows for quite some time, although it was pretty cool. He's not our, my age or whatever. He's younger.
• 18:08
He's probably 35 maybe. And, uh, he says that- So he's half your age? Well, I said, "Have you ever been on TV?"
• 18:14
He said, "No, you have to be picked to do that," and now it's all kids and they, they had, it was originally 21 and over
• 18:22
Then it was like 18, 19, and now they have like thir- 13-year-old kids Yeah, who are, they weigh nothing and are- Right... beyond strong. And also, I mean, who doesn't wanna watch a little kid fall off something?
• 18:32
I mean [laughs] Right. Right, there's that too. [laughs] Oh, sorry you busted your teeth out. So they're so forming, they bounce back. Yeah, yeah. Right? Well, yeah.
• 18:39
The fontanel hasn't fully- I think a, a senior league would be cool. 'Cause yeah, he'd break his shit. We'd just like jump- Fall off that... like a couple of feet.
• 18:47
[laughs] No, dude- But anyway, I thought that was kind of cool... do the cool Oompa Loompa cartwheel Just for the record- It's the Oompa Loompa cartwheel. You know, that last one- Like a roll...
• 18:55
where it's, no, where it's just the- Oh... just lift your feet off the ground for a pop and twist the body. I'll show you that video too. Right on. [laughs] I'm all part of visuals. Apparently.
• 19:06
I'm sure it works really well in the audio medium, but- So in, in theory right now, if you're listening to the show when it comes out, I'm on my way to Mineral Point to meet Chewy. Ah. Chewy.
• 19:16
Isn't that where, uh, the- And drop off the Wednesday... uh, the Sean of- Sean... of the chocolate and pizza? Yes. I'm, I, he- Is he coming to get popcorn for his wife? I don't know. Oh, boy.
• 19:26
But I am unclear as to whether any of Sean's endeavors are open. Papalo, Papalo Pizzeria.
• 19:32
Yeah, I think that's more of a, a, a night thing, but I'm wondering about the chocolate thing, 'cause I could use some chocolate- Mm... for Valentine's Day, 'cause that would be the next day. Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh.
• 19:41
But if not, we're meeting at the Midway Bar and Grill, which Mineral Point is midway between here and Decorah al- Uh... almost exactly, you know? Pretty cool. Yeah. So that means the Wednesday goes away.
• 19:53
That means I got more room in the bike shop, 'cause- 'Cause there's too many fucking bikes in the bike shop... there's, bikes are dwindling.
• 19:59
I'm gonna have a couple- My bike was there right now, so Like dicks on a dance floor. [laughs] Yeah. Too many dicks on the dance floor. I'm gonna have a couple of, uh, Schlick 29+'s I'd like to send down the road too.
• 20:08
We'll have those on the interwebs soon. How are the ARs coming? That's a government rate. Hm? How are the ARs coming? What's an AR? You have those AR frames? What's an AR? What's an AR? AR- AR... 40- 40, 45... 45.
• 20:20
Thank you. Or Growler. And I noticed somebody- Or Growler... has a freaking fat bike that's called a Growler. I'm like, "Hm, maybe I should go after them," 'cause ours was a Growler for 10 years.
• 20:28
Patented or warranted or- Oh, Growler, once you use the name, it's, uh, it's, it's yours... yeah, don't, don't waste your fucking time. It's yours, man. You can use it. I actually saw that- Forever...

Growler fat bike today- Yeah... and thought of you. Thought of you. Uh, no, you know what I need to do, and I need to do it soon, is they're awesome frames,
• 20:44
but I need to find the through axle because it's kind of a goofy size. Mm-hmm. Uh, I found some in Italy. I'll buy a bunch of them and get those frames done because- I mean, Coby should have one of those.
• 20:55
You're going to Italy? May have a big enough one for him. He's buying some titanium thing. But he'd love that. He doesn't need to buy titanium. Coby- Don't buy titanium... bike. I know he's gonna listen. Yeah.
• 21:04
Did you know he commented on our show last week? Nice. Did he? He give you shit? Yeah, he said I, I've been bugging you and, and Tony a lot. I'm like, "Oh." Uh, he can bug me all he wants. It's awesome.
• 21:13
[laughs] 'Cause it's about bikes. Yeah.
• 21:15
Uh, he's been, well- But I think if he got, if we frame savored an AR, uh, AR45 and- Yeah, I don't think I could build it, I don't think I could build one of those for as cheap as he's getting the Lynskey.
• 21:25
There is [laughs] They're like 50% off. It's- It's crazy how cheap they are. You are, you- Or inex- inexpensive, I should say. Not cheap... yeah, they're, you're getting a forever bike at that price. Yeah. Right.
• 21:35
That's pretty impressive. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, absolutely. That's cool. Hey, here's something I noticed when I was- Hey... poking around on the old, uh, podcast, uh, host.
• 21:48
The Weekly Dose of Fat and other Fatbike.com podcasts, which we have been on, you've been on a couple of them. Uh, two, I think. Maybe one or two.
• 21:57
Uh, those, that whole thing, 509,000 times have those been downloaded and/or listened to. That's a half a million pe- listens. Plus 9,000.
• 22:07
Plus we have another whatever bunch of full spectrum cycling ones, so it's like, uh, that's a lot of people out there must like to waste time listening to- [laughs]... people talk or something.
• 22:17
Thanks for helping our- To be fair, again-... our therapy session here... the ones that were the most popular on f- uh, Fatbike.com were more technical ones. The Fat Camp guys, those were- Oh, interesting...
• 22:31
not, not by like five times more, by like a few hundred here or there more, but they were some of the top ones, and I'm like, "People really wanna listen to technical stuff?" Yeah. Sure. Yeah, of course they do. I guess.
• 22:42
Like that's kinda how it works. I don't know. So, yeah. Speaking of podcasts and guests and stuff, I caught a little shit from Ron today that, uh, you only gave him an hour notice to be on the podcast.
• 22:53
So I just told him point blank, I'm like, "You are welcome to the podcast any-" You only gave him an hour notice? You apparently for twice only gave him an hour notice to be on the podcast.
• 23:02
I don't think I've ever invited him. What are you- He says you have. Well, it wouldn't be an hour then, it'd be a week and an hour. All right. Uh, uh, uh [laughs] Communication breakdown.
• 23:11
He might, he might have thought of that. Yeah, but- Well, it's like next week, Ron, come on the show. There we go. We'll just bring our crap over by you and we'll do it over there.
• 23:18
I, they, they're doing one right now- They're doing, yeah, we're doing one in the back room... so we should definitely piggyback. [laughs] Who's doing one right now? Right now they're having a podcast next door.
• 23:25
About what? Podcast and a pint. Beer and s- Yeah. Podcast and a pint. Podcast and a pint. What the hell is this all about? I don't know. Huh. Well, we'll have to go check that out.
• 23:33
Ron gave me a little shit 'cause I gave him shit- We got, uh-... for not being on the podcast... about four more minutes, so we can go over there and check that out. [laughs] I have three on my watch.
• 23:42
Well, we- Well, that one says three too, but then we gotta count down and do the whole long sound and tune our ears and- We haven't even gotten to the top of the hill yet. I mean- I know. Ding, dong, ding... oh, oh.
• 23:49
Where are you? Let's go. [bell ringing] Plus, I also need a beer, but Tony brought beer today. It's one of our favorites. It's, uh, it's an All Day IPA from... No, this is- No, this is not [laughs]...
• 24:00
the, no, this is the Eye- Lakefront IPA... this is a Lakefront Eye PA with an eyeball on it. Yeah. This is big boy. This is not All Day. It's the same, it's the same color as All Day. It is, but- Sort of...
• 24:10
this is way more heavy-hitting. It is, of course. The, you know what it reminded me of? Is when we used to finish the podcast over on Locust and ride our bikes down to- The foundation All the way over there?
• 24:26
We would always have- Oh... a Lakefront IPA and- I li- I like- Or a slice of jerky I like rummy drinks at that place. Yeah. Just the straight up rum and Coke. Gotcha. And they're like, "Which rum?"
• 24:40
And it's just like, "Dealer's choice." I just kinda want, you know, like whatever. Nothing spiced, okay? Yeah, yeah. Nothing, nothing like- None of that Captain Morgan shit... not a spiced rum.
• 24:51
And I mean, 'cause there are some spiced ones that are good. Sure. But you have to know what you're in for and want for. But normally, no, no, no. But they have the best ice. It's like that weird, uh, little pellet.
• 25:06
Interesting. I've not noticed that since I only drink beer there. Well, there was... Somebody made a call on one of the local...
• 25:13
[laughs] And it was an odd call-out, going like, "What bars or establishments do you go to that has like the best ice?" I mean, a- and I was like Foundation. Yeah.
• 25:26
I, I, I mean, that was just tailor-made question for myself where I was just like- Sorry... I know. The only reason I... [laughs] I was gonna replace that with some of the new art today, but- Boing. Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo...
• 25:36
I have to put, uh, some ways to hang the... 'Cause they have- Sorry, you're in the middle of this conversation, I had to slap that... they have magnets. That's why they're on over there. Maggots, Michael? Magnets.
• 25:45
Magnets. Magnets, bitch. Magnets, Michael. They're using magnets. [laughs] So your ice story, is it over now? I'm sorry. [laughs] I don't know. I'm filling time, baby. [laughs] Uh, but no, they have the best damn ice.
• 25:57
I mean, it's a cool- It's pretty interesting. I- But I mean, you get a, just a tasty cocktail, and it's, and nothing clever. And I'm like, "Yeah." I mean, go for clever- Ice can make or break it...
• 26:06
go for clever and have a, you know, spend a couple more, and it'll be tasty and it'll be good and you'll like your dark and stormy, which is very awesome. Agreed. And what have you.
• 26:15
But maybe just- It was a dark and stormy night. Mm-hmm. Suddenly, a shot rang out. By the Sopwith Camel. [laughs] Yeah. Yes. I'm going Snoopy style. I'm gonna, I, I'm gonna spend- That's right, Snoopy style...
• 26:28
I'm gonna spend one podcast- The original Snoop... where I just follow the cameras. The original Snoop. Like- Okay, doom... follow the camera. Center, doom. Uh, other one, bam, bam. Bam, bam, bam. Feel like Serena.
• 26:42
[laughs] It'll be awesome. All right. It'll be awesome. It'll be great podcast. So, uh, what else? Oh, I got a couple other quick things.
• 26:48
One RAGBRAI, uh, 52 is July 19 through 26, which means you can go get a couple days in before you come to the 24. 24. Good point. The route is available.
• 26:57
There's a link in the show notes to see the new route this year, which looks pretty good. It's short-ish, 400 and some miles. We, uh, forgot to talk about my DIY pogie heaters. Well, we've gotta get the pic- Yeah...
• 27:09
we gotta get at least a picture of them, so- They're fucking great... do that next week. They work. Yeah, when you do them. Cliffhanger. How am I gonna take a picture inside my pogie? Just- Mm-hmm.
• 27:18
How do they do the pictures of the- Get, you know what? Colonoscopy Yeah, exactly. We need a- They've got the ideas here... a colonos- Do it... colonoscope Go in toonment...
• 27:28
colonos- Uh, the other thing- Let's go surf in our rooms...
• 27:30
the other thing that I think is kinda interesting is the REFO 24 up in, uh, Green Bay, Brown County reforestation camp that, uh, George up at Rat- Broken Spoke does a lot of stuff at.
• 27:45
June 14th and 15th they're doing a 24-hour race. Mm-hmm. At the, the park there. It's sort of, sort of a, I don't know- Just take the park over? I don't know.
• 27:55
It's not quite a Riverwest 24 kinda thing, but still- But a natural, in a natural environment-ish... that, I think that park has... It, it, it's pretty soft. It's pine forest, so- Oh, neat... it's kinda sandy. Yep.
• 28:07
But squishy and- And fat bikes do a pretty good job on those trails. I don't know, you know, if you're super strong you can po- probably power through it, but- I'm not... fat bikes are
• 28:17
always good on that kinda loamy, soft stuff. Hmm. Uh, so yeah, so RE- Is it, is it just loops or? Yeah, I think so.
• 28:25
I mean, there's around 10 miles maybe of trails, and some of it's double track and some of it's single track and- Wow... I don't know the exact course, but, uh- Crikey... 24-hour race up there June 14th and 15th. A ride.
• 28:38
Is it a race or a ride? Oh, yeah. Finally, I'm sure Michael knows how to do this, but if you forgot how to deal with your cast iron pans, I will have a visual in the show notes- [laughs]... about how to- To season?...
• 28:49
take care of them- Oh, I know how to care... properly. Yeah. Properly take care of your pans. Cast iron pans are the only pans you should own.
• 28:54
I think this is from the Boy Scout manual from 1966 or something like that, so [laughs] Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Three, three- Mm... two is Webelos, three is Boy Scouts. Webelo, we'll be loyal Scouts. Yeah. All right.
• 29:07
I guess- [laughs] I'm not a Boy Scout anymore. Second class, baby. I always been. Yeah, right. [laughs] All right. Thank you. Thank you. Come again. Thank you. Come again. Bye. Bye.
