- 0:18Speaker 1: going good?
- 0:25Speaker 2: I'm good, but in like a normal way, you know
- 0:28Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 0:29Speaker 3: That's sore actually now really but Steph saw back there, magie.
- 0:34Speaker 1: But we'll talk about that later on the show. Okay,
- 0:38Speaker 1: what a day? Eh? What a day? Okay, I tell
- 0:43Speaker 1: you what you remember.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yesterday, which was just a Tuesday, was it was terrible
- 0:50Speaker 3: with the hor of the day, bloody blowing right off
- 0:53Speaker 3: the Arctic there and I had the power cut off
- 0:56Speaker 3: from eight till six pm. Yes, and then drama, but
- 1:00Speaker 3: then drama. And then my wife texted me when she
- 1:02Speaker 3: got home and said, oh it's on again.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And then I got.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Home and I was in a hour of the mood
- 1:07Speaker 3: because I was cold, and I was hungry and I
- 1:09Speaker 3: was starving.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Can I ask you how the traffic was? Wasn't too bad?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Actually, hungry and starving?
- 1:15Speaker 1: It was.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I was expecting it to be way worse because the
- 1:18Speaker 3: weather was so bad. I usually even thing sort of
- 1:20Speaker 3: slows down, but it was pretty good. Got home and
- 1:22Speaker 3: parted in the driver and went hang about this still
- 1:27Speaker 3: looks dark to me? And I get home and my
- 1:30Speaker 3: wife's sitting on the couch with two jackets on in
- 1:32Speaker 3: complete darkness, and the.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Fucking power still wasn't on.
- 1:36Speaker 2: So was she joking?
- 1:38Speaker 3: It came on for a minute apparently, and then went
- 1:40Speaker 3: out again.
- 1:41Speaker 1: How long did it take to come back on in
- 1:42Speaker 1: the end? An hour and a half.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Wow, So it actually came on at about quarter to eight? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:50Speaker 3: But the thing was I was looking forward to chicken
- 1:52Speaker 3: burgers and we couldn't cook them.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Of course I lived through it. I left, but fuck me,
- 1:59Speaker 1: it was cold. You get a pie?
- 2:01Speaker 2: No?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Because it was closed ship.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So on the way home, your wife didn't call you
- 2:06Speaker 2: and go hat the power still out? Can you pick
- 2:07Speaker 2: something up?
- 2:08Speaker 1: No? Oh? Random?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Are you on gas heating or something? Gas cooking?
- 2:12Speaker 1: No? What did you do? What do you have? Just something? Yeah? Smart? Yeah?
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's heartbreaking there. What did you light the
- 2:21Speaker 2: fire man?
- 2:22Speaker 1: Keezy?
- 2:24Speaker 4: I I got home and my wife had littered the
- 2:27Speaker 4: fire nice, it was very nice.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I fucking love a fire man.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Real good. That was that was too That was too
- 2:36Speaker 1: many and have one of ours, that'd be good. Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 3: The deciding thresh, the deciding vote for me in our
- 2:43Speaker 3: house was the fact that I had a fire. I went, yeah, yeah,
- 2:48Speaker 3: even if it's falling.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Apart, it's got a fireplace. Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Seriously, there's something very I don't know, primal about having
- 2:53Speaker 2: to get the kindling and cut it all up and
- 2:55Speaker 2: stack and put the paper in there, the pine cones.
- 2:58Speaker 4: I'm a shocker for fires, just like empty like McDonald's.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Tires and all that sort of stuff.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I used to put my resigning in the fire, you
- 3:08Speaker 3: know what I mean? Yea, my plastics and ship Yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 3: just bearing because.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I go straight up the jube but jack the chimney
- 3:14Speaker 1: and disappears sight out of mind.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Thank you, Mike.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Have you heard about the guy? I think it's between
- 3:19Speaker 2: it's between Natia, you know, Natier and Auckland. There's on
- 3:25Speaker 2: the side of the road there is a giant thing
- 3:27Speaker 2: of shipping containers with like a rounded roof on it.
- 3:30Speaker 2: And a guy hired some land, built up a shed,
- 3:34Speaker 2: filled it with tires and was running a tire recycling business.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But I was actually just filling it up and then
- 3:39Speaker 2: just skipped the country and left the person who owned
- 3:41Speaker 2: the land.
- 3:41Speaker 1: With just a massive tires smart man. Funny.
- 3:46Speaker 2: The other day there was a massive bonfire and I
- 3:47Speaker 2: could see they'd put tires on it.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's one bond for a week. Is that what
- 3:53Speaker 1: they do with tires?
- 3:55Speaker 4: Well, actually what they do is now where was that?
- 3:59Speaker 2: And the Simpsons they do.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I remember seeing one massive time showing.
- 4:03Speaker 4: It was over in the Middle East somewhere I can't remember,
- 4:08Speaker 4: but it was something like one hundred million tires or
- 4:11Speaker 4: something like that.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You could see the fire from space. It was. It
- 4:14Speaker 1: was insane.
- 4:15Speaker 4: So they say, yeah, we will take your recycling your
- 4:18Speaker 4: old ship, and then they just take it over there
- 4:19Speaker 4: and then they just burn off.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Incidentally, it was incredible that far, wasn't it.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It was crazy because one other thing they used to
- 4:28Speaker 2: they did, and I think America off the coast, they
- 4:31Speaker 2: built a reef out of tires and they were like,
- 4:33Speaker 2: we're going to reuse these tires to build a reef
- 4:35Speaker 2: to like help jumpstart the sort of fish life and
- 4:38Speaker 2: the scene the sea like ecosystem tires would be great.
- 4:42Speaker 2: And it completely wrecked the whole area and it did
- 4:45Speaker 2: not work. And now there's like thousands of tires in
- 4:48Speaker 2: the water.
- 4:48Speaker 1: There good stuff.
- 4:50Speaker 4: The whole ky Big Show days from four on Radio Hiarchy,
- 4:55Speaker 4: remember the wy Big Show podcast.
- 4:57Speaker 3: The cool question here, what do you do with old
- 5:01Speaker 3: gas bottles?
- 5:03Speaker 1: Bottles to take them somewhere? Well, you certainly don't chuck
- 5:08Speaker 1: them in the tip?
- 5:09Speaker 3: No, No, because I know this old guess bottle. I
- 5:13Speaker 3: was like, what do you actually do with an old bottle.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And swap it out for a real nice one?
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd be good.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Swapper bottle and then that's what they do and then
- 5:21Speaker 2: they'll fix it for you.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Well, it's not really flexible because it's been outside.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah for twenty years. It's poked. Now.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a few things like that that I go
- 5:35Speaker 3: and I tell you what, have you googled it?
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'll tell you what.
- 5:39Speaker 3: There's also a real ball like getting rid of fucking mattresses.
- 5:43Speaker 3: So many places they go NAP's a tip?
- 5:47Speaker 1: You take that to the tip.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just so massive.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I'd have to.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Yeah, brin a van. Yeah it as I said that
- 5:55Speaker 4: thing that I recommended to you. Yes, it's very good.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I might do that actually.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Can guys. I'm just going to have a look at
- 6:04Speaker 4: me apps. Yeah, you just hop in a car for
- 6:06Speaker 4: two hours city up.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Really good. I going to do that.
- 6:10Speaker 4: We just bought a queen sized bed. Going to have
- 6:13Speaker 4: to do that for the spear room. They'resy we're going
- 6:15Speaker 4: to have guests, not for you.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Are you guys rocking?
- 6:20Speaker 1: We have a queen. I really want a king.
- 6:23Speaker 4: King is Queen is good. We had a super King
- 6:26Speaker 4: for a while that was too big.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Too big?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Okay, too big. You want to have a little bit
- 6:29Speaker 4: of it's a lot. You're a long way away in
- 6:32Speaker 4: a super California King. Maybe it was called about that,
- 6:36Speaker 4: but yeah, king's good. King's good because queen's too small.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Queen's fine. Like we can be seperate in summer, but
- 6:41Speaker 4: in winter you want to get all snugly.
- 6:43Speaker 2: You know.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Well, I we've got a queen and I'm such a
- 6:46Speaker 3: small She's not big either, so you know it's fine.
- 6:53Speaker 2: My wife a massive man, you know, so we might
- 6:56Speaker 2: need extra space.
- 6:58Speaker 1: That's true.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I wouldn't mind a king.
- 7:00Speaker 1: He apparently Jerry's got a really big bed. He does.
- 7:04Speaker 4: He has got the California King right, which is very big. Yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 4: we down size, we got it and then we got
- 7:10Speaker 4: rid of it. That's a real statement. Isn't it the Californian.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Well you think a big to be better, yeah, and
- 7:17Speaker 1: then it's too far away.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Well, of course, my wife and I are now running
- 7:21Speaker 3: the two singles.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That's right, with like the quilts on the yea yell.
- 7:26Speaker 3: And on her little bedside table, she's got all these
- 7:28Speaker 3: old dolls.
- 7:29Speaker 2: And stuff, like the old school valance.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah so.
- 7:36Speaker 2: And like weird china with paintings of like Native American
- 7:39Speaker 2: Indians and stuff on it.
- 7:41Speaker 4: And I've got a little bit like a calendar with
- 7:44Speaker 4: chicks with your hood is out.
- 7:46Speaker 3: And also a bowl of like hard sweets.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Boys.
- 7:52Speaker 3: But if we're like making love or something, we just
- 7:54Speaker 3: pushed them together.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Sure you do in the middle. I tell you what, guy,
- 8:00Speaker 1: there was one time you puffed. Actually it's my asthma.
- 8:07Speaker 1: But you know, if.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Youth, if it don't take my thing.
- 8:10Speaker 3: If it's if you're really going for it, can the
- 8:14Speaker 3: old beds, you know, sort of move.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Apart because casts on wheels. If you go way too hard,
- 8:23Speaker 2: you actually go out the door.
- 8:24Speaker 4: If you got those steel steel mesh as a mattress,
- 8:27Speaker 4: you know it's a springy thing.
- 8:29Speaker 1: You remember those? Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're pretty good.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I thought you had like a four post bed.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Oh we did for a while with a canopy. Yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 3: but you.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Got the sex wing and it's sort of you don't
- 8:43Speaker 1: need both. Yeah, well it was partly that.
- 8:44Speaker 3: And also one night I was being romantic and had
- 8:46Speaker 3: lit candles and stuff and we nearly burned to death
- 8:49Speaker 3: because it just went up like a god.
- 8:51Speaker 2: That's a yeah.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Well we.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Barely noticed right until I got a bit of a
- 9:00Speaker 3: singe on the old ass there. Cool, we know what's
- 9:04Speaker 3: going on there. Initially I was like, that feels good,
- 9:08Speaker 3: and then I went, well, hang.
- 9:09Speaker 1: On, yeah, well what that feels real good? What are
- 9:11Speaker 1: you doing? What is that?
- 9:12Speaker 2: Your ass is on fire? I'm fucking rude, you're joking.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Do you want to know why guys as a sleep bed?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Sleep bed sleep because my wife may Wab has caught
- 9:29Speaker 2: my kids cough remember that cough. She's got this hand
- 9:32Speaker 2: can't can't hank hank. So now my wife's got that
- 9:37Speaker 2: And it was just all night, last night, all night.
- 9:41Speaker 2: So I jumped out of bed at three am when
- 9:45Speaker 2: I slept on the couch. It's good stuff?
- 9:49Speaker 3: Is that why you're wanting to get a bed for
- 9:50Speaker 3: the spear and so?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Well, it would be good.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Yeah, because I hadn't slept in there before, which is
- 9:55Speaker 4: better than sleeping on that fucking couch. Yeah, jeese, man,
- 10:00Speaker 4: she's poor bastard. She's coughing like one.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Or maybe someone was sick on the big night out
- 10:05Speaker 2: on set. No, she had it going in. She's got
- 10:08Speaker 2: although she does have now a very sixy voice joys
- 10:12Speaker 2: like mine. Actually, yeah, so it's like, you know, listening
- 10:16Speaker 2: to myself talk. So that's all right, she does. She
- 10:23Speaker 2: doesn't call me moggie. What does she call you, babe?
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's cute. What does your wife call you? Kusy?
- 10:32Speaker 2: I think a wee bit of babe, just an assortment
- 10:35Speaker 2: of stuff. Nah, she called me Chris the other day.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been called Mike on the occasion.
- 10:42Speaker 2: We usually just speak to each other, Hey, what's You're the.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Only two people in the room most of the time,
- 10:47Speaker 4: so you don't need to call each other by name.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I don't remember the last time my wife used my name.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Usually it's just like.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Lose face, yeah, idiot, yeah, yeah, needle dick.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Droopy cock cock.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Now my wife has either babe or darling. Darling's nice
- 11:13Speaker 3: and I call her crunchy.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Good one. That's really cute. Crunchy.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Hey, thanks for listening to the Huduky Big Show. We
- 11:25Speaker 2: really appreciate it. We're also on four or seven every
- 11:27Speaker 2: weekday Ship Your joke on Radio HADUK. You should listen
- 11:30Speaker 2: to it today.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Man, after this
