Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This justice system which has been used as a tool
- 0:04Speaker 1: of revenge and a weapon against those individuals who simply
- 0:12Speaker 1: did their job and who stood up for the rule
- 0:15Speaker 1: of law.
- 0:18Speaker 2: And that's New York.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Attorney General Letitia James, after pleading not guilty in a
- 0:23Speaker 3: Virginia federal court to two felony charges of bank fraud
- 0:27Speaker 3: and making false statements to a financial institution, which all
- 0:30Speaker 3: stand from a favorable mortgage.
- 0:32Speaker 2: That she received back in twenty twenty.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Jonman now is Florida congoss Foman Anna Polina Luna, an
- 0:37Speaker 3: integral member of the House Oversight Committee, come from Thanks
- 0:40Speaker 3: very much for being here. What we're in a government
- 0:42Speaker 3: shutdown right now. But I know that your Oversight Committee
- 0:45Speaker 3: has been looking at all of this.
- 0:46Speaker 2: What can you tell us?
- 0:50Speaker 4: Look, I know we are eager to get back and
- 0:52Speaker 4: dive into this. But Letitia James obviously had accused the
- 0:55Speaker 4: president of a lot of things, And isn't it ironic
- 0:58Speaker 4: that the evidence is showing that she's act guilty of
- 1:00Speaker 4: what she was accusing him of being guilty of. So
- 1:03Speaker 4: I am hoping that justice is brought ford. A lot
- 1:05Speaker 4: of the American people are very frustrated that these people
- 1:08Speaker 4: seem to be walking free.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Well, we just spoke with Lee Smith about the Russia
- 1:11Speaker 3: collusion story, and of course we all witnessed it, had
- 1:14Speaker 3: a front row seat of this lie that Hillary Clinton's
- 1:17Speaker 3: team came up with take down her political enemy and
- 1:20Speaker 3: Donald Trump. What are you expecting from this investigation? Do
- 1:24Speaker 3: you see a conspiracy having played out?
- 1:29Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Most certainly.
- 1:30Speaker 4: I think that this is expansive, something of which Telsea
- 1:33Speaker 4: Gabbard when she released those files from Odie and I,
- 1:36Speaker 4: of which I know that the CIA director Ratcliffe had
- 1:39Speaker 4: actually discovered when he was over Odie and I. But
- 1:41Speaker 4: all of that to say that these people agreed they
- 1:45Speaker 4: carried out a task. I know that the current federal
- 1:47Speaker 4: statute states that it's up to seven years in federal prison.
- 1:51Speaker 4: But everything that they did, not only did it fracture
- 1:53Speaker 4: foreign policy with the United States and Russia, potentially could
- 1:56Speaker 4: have started World War three, but ultimately they went after
- 1:59Speaker 4: the president and then also those surrounding him. And so
- 2:02Speaker 4: I do think that the Department of Justice needs to
- 2:03Speaker 4: be very aggressive in this approach, because, look, I don't
- 2:06Speaker 4: think that all Democrats are evil, but these types of
- 2:09Speaker 4: people that do this, they bring shame upon the institution
- 2:12Speaker 4: and that type of corruption cannot exist in a free
- 2:14Speaker 4: and fair society.
- 2:15Speaker 3: And of course we want to know more about this
- 2:17Speaker 3: referral of John Brennan. What are you expecting there.
- 2:23Speaker 4: You know, Chairman Jim, Chairman Jim Jordan of have judiciary
- 2:27Speaker 4: sent it over. As you know, Brennan had lied to Congress,
- 2:30Speaker 4: obviously pushing the Russia collusion hoax narrative. But ultimately, you know,
- 2:34Speaker 4: just two days ago Brennet had gone on and said
- 2:36Speaker 4: that this was basically a weaponized DOJ and Congress against him,
- 2:41Speaker 4: when in actuality, Maria, we know for a fact again
- 2:44Speaker 4: that the Russia collusion hoax was fake, that it never happened,
- 2:47Speaker 4: and Brennan was in charge of that, especially you know,
- 2:49Speaker 4: being head of the CIA.
- 2:50Speaker 2: So ultimately, I do believe that these people.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I'm going to ask Pamboni please please please bring charges
- 2:55Speaker 4: against these people, because ultimately, if they walk free, you
- 2:58Speaker 4: have the American people that have lost face than our
- 3:00Speaker 4: justice system.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But more importantly, we.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Are in a position now in our country where we
- 3:04Speaker 4: can truly correct the wrongdoings of the previous administration and
- 3:07Speaker 4: the wrongdoings of the Obama administration.
- 3:09Speaker 2: And if we don't do it now, it's never going
- 3:11Speaker 2: to happen.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Well, I mean, it wasn't just that it ripped the
- 3:13Speaker 3: country apart and it was just a complete lie that
- 3:16Speaker 3: went viral across the world, but there was also a
- 3:19Speaker 3: fair amount of dereliction of duty given the president. A
- 3:23Speaker 3: sitting president needed to constantly be on defense about collusion
- 3:28Speaker 3: and what they should have been doing with regard to
- 3:31Speaker 3: China and Congosiman, I want to get your take on
- 3:33Speaker 3: this government shutdown. Sean Duffy, the Transportation Secretary, just joined
- 3:36Speaker 3: me at the top of the show. He broke a
- 3:38Speaker 3: lot of news on what the week is going to
- 3:40Speaker 3: look like. It looks like if you don't have to fly,
- 3:43Speaker 3: don't fly, because you're going to have long lines. You're
- 3:46Speaker 3: going to have massive delays because people are not going
- 3:49Speaker 3: to work. They're working without a paycheck, so they're calling
- 3:52Speaker 3: in sick. What's your expectation for the government shutdown?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Look behind the scenes, Maria.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I'm hearing that we potentially might not be back until
- 4:01Speaker 4: even around the Thanksgiving time framer after that, and it's
- 4:04Speaker 4: really unfortunate because, as you know, the military is going
- 4:07Speaker 4: without paychecks. Potentially we have this snap and EBT program
- 4:10Speaker 4: that's potentially, especially going up into the holiday season. I'm
- 4:13Speaker 4: going to be on the chopping block here. And it's
- 4:15Speaker 4: all because Chuck Schumer is afraid of AOC and her
- 4:18Speaker 4: polling numbers for the Senate. So I hope that he
- 4:20Speaker 4: can put his ego aside and reopen the government Thanksgiving.
- 4:24Speaker 3: You're not going to be back until around Thanksgiving, And
- 4:26Speaker 3: what does that go to mean in terms of funding government?
- 4:29Speaker 3: What do you do do a continuing resolution into next year?
- 4:33Speaker 3: I mean, obviously that makes November twenty first null and void.
- 4:39Speaker 4: That's what I'm hearing on back end conversations to include.
- 4:42Speaker 2: With members of the Democrat Party.
- 4:44Speaker 4: So that's kind of the rumor on the hill right now,
- 4:46Speaker 4: and I would prefer to be back. We have a
- 4:48Speaker 4: lot of work that we're unable to do because we're
- 4:50Speaker 4: not in session. Frankly, there's a lot of constituent services
- 4:53Speaker 4: that are hard to provide for our residents here, not
- 4:55Speaker 4: just here but across the country as a result of
- 4:57Speaker 4: the government shutdown. But yeah, that's unfortunately what we're hearing,
- 5:00Speaker 4: and I think that would push us probably to another
- 5:02Speaker 4: cr But look, ultimately, what we're seeing right now is
- 5:06Speaker 4: a lack of empathy from Czech Schumer and the Senate Democrats,
- 5:09Speaker 4: so hopefully they'll get it together.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Cong Tchruman, thank you, Annapoline a Luna this morning in Florida.
- 5:13Speaker 3: I'll do it for Sunday morning futures. We'll see tomorrow morning.
