• 0:36
Yeah. It's like one, two, three, but in a different sequence. [laughs] Just like that. But, so- Just like that... where do you guy- where do you guys consume your podcasts?
• 0:46
Do you listen on the computer, phone- Computator... in the car? Truth. Computator. Computator. Eh. Especially if I forget until Tuesday's Dr. Sushi and then it's just a given.
• 0:58
[laughs] Oh, I think- Normally, yeah, computer via Bluetooth speaker hanging out in the behind me. Oh, right on...
• 1:05
'cause I have the luxury of having my bicycle right behind me in my office when I'm at the BU, uh, campus. Dig. Yeah, I, yeah, go back and forth between the computer- [coughs] Excuse me...
• 1:18
the phone and the car because it- But I don't really go to like a-... sucks up the gizmo... I don't really go to like an aggregator of podcasts, like, "Hey, on Spotify- Yeah, I know...
• 1:26
let me, oh, let me browse your podcast selection." No. I don't do that. Me neither. Me neither. Yeah. That's- Pretty much for anything... there's just a couple I- It's a personality...
• 1:34
listen to besides our very own fantastic show. I- This is a glimpse into the ABCs of me. [laughs] As, as I put, as I put in the show notes, I'm just gonna once again say, Dan actually listens to the show.
• 1:45
Shout out to Dan. Yo. Dan Mena. Shout out to Dan. Dan Mena. Met his doggy finally. He's very sweet. Oh, I gotta- He's very sweet... have, have, have not seen s- the animal. Uh, Steven got a new dog too. He- Yes.
• 1:56
Yeah, I can't wait to see that gorgeous pooch. I saw in- It's like she's wearing makeup. [laughs] I'm dead serious. She's got like a big mascara splashed across one eye. She's gorgeous. Down, Tony, down.
• 2:07
No, I'm gonna give her the- Down, down, down, down. [laughs] You wait. You wait when I see that dog. Down, Tony, Tony, Tony. I'm giving her the fucking business. Tony, Tony, Tony. Okay. Okay, now.
• 2:13
I'm, I'm gonna have to- Hope that dog has plenty of fur 'cause it's- Oh, it's gonna get it... it's cold outside. I'm gonna find- And it does... find your newspaper. [laughs] Yeah. I met, I met- No...
• 2:22
him or her, I don't remember if it's a him or a her, to be honest. Her. Met that doggy over to the, uh, Uptown the other day. Oh, oh, no, I just broke something. Oh. Dang it. Stop, stop- Fix that. Fix that...
• 2:34
stop touching shit. [laughs] Would you stop touching me? Fidgeting. Ah. It's Record Store Day. Yeah. How'd that go for you guys? It was good. Went to, uh, Lilliput, uh, caught the very end of Fun Mun's-
• 2:52
Gig? Yeah. I mean, not really gig. Did he- I don't know. He was just playing... did he tell you who you looked like today? [laughs] No. No, I didn't get a chance to interact.
• 2:59
I did make the acknowledgement, like, "Hey, right on." But, uh, yeah, he had to jump off that stage and Eric the Blowtorch, Eric Blowtorch did his thing, which is okay. Oh, yeah.
• 3:13
I mean [laughs] I've, I don't know, it depends on location and, you know, what he's promoting. There were times where- Yeah... I mean, 'cause it is a record store, it has a strange vibe to it.
• 3:23
And then Cobuster came on and they did a good, good size set for being [laughs]... I mean, it, it's like would be like us visually on stage playing guitars well. Old, old, old people. Yeah. Gotcha. It just had like...
• 3:38
Oh, well, yeah. Well, very good. Yeah. And came away with, uh, Purple Rain. Found it for 99 cents [laughs] and I was like, "Okay."
• 3:49
[laughs] But it, they were doing their Black Friday promotions, so I got it for 84 cents plus tax, so it came out to 89 cents. [laughs] I'm just like, "You gotta be kidding me.
• 3:57
You actually applied the discount to the one, one LP I bought?" [laughs] Wow. I felt, yeah, yeah, yeah. So you didn't go for any of the Record Store Day exclusives? No, no. They didn't, nothing really screamed out.
• 4:11
I mean, some of them were eh. I did, though, find the [laughs] just skimming around, found Lavage. Mm. One of the Mike Patton side projects from the like 2001. It's like trip hop- Mm...
• 4:26
essentially, and oh, it's just, it's awesome. Is it? It's good? Oh, yeah. Lavage, Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By. [laughs] Wow. [laughs] I like it. I like it. With Chester, Chester Rockwell is one of the...
• 4:38
And it's got some, you know, it's just fun. It's just a fun. Fun's good. So- Fun's good...
• 4:42
long story long on that, it didn't end up purchased, but it is on the racks there, so I'll either get it from there or from Bill down in Rushmore. Well, that was- 'Cause that's just an...
• 4:54
I'll show you the- So that is- I'll show you the album cover because it's just worth, so much worth it. [laughs] Right on.
• 5:00
Uh, Sydney convinced Wendy to get up at 6:30 and take her down to Lilliput because she wanted something that I don't... Oh, Olivia, Olivia Rodrigo. Oh, okay.
• 5:13
Um, and she wanted some Noah character too, but didn't get it there, so then they came home and then went down to Rushmore after that. [laughs] Huh. Okay. I, I believe she was able to get it at Rushmore.
• 5:24
I'm not 100% sure on that one, but- Yeah, there, I mean, there were releases that I saw that probably warranted- Like-... that kind of fandom... like the Meat Puppets? No.
• 5:37
No, no, just like, "Oh, I gotta get that," like BTS or some shit like that, you know? Ah. Something where- They don't have that... there, there is a... Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 5:45
[laughs] I think they're doing, yeah, the Meat Puppets. Hopefully, I kinda made the hint that- That was the Meat Puppets... that would not be a bad Christmas present if somebody- Puppets...
• 5:52
were to pick it, pick it, it, it, it, it- Uh, yes... up at the Record Store Day records stuff. So yeah, so that's, that's the Record Store Day recap there, folks.
• 6:03
Oh, and then, but independently of that, I got it from Sound of Vinyl- Uh, it's free but you paid shipping. And it was a 2007 Glastonbury of Amy Winehouse Oh, there you go...
• 6:17
so that should be a good, good listen- Right on... I would say. What was shipping, 25 bucks? 14. Yeah. I was like, I was like 14 for a d- It's vinyl, man... yeah, yeah.
• 6:26
So you gotta be careful Oh, and, oh, and clear vinyl. Oh, well, that makes it- So-... way more worthwhile. Yeah. Are any actual black- Well, I th-... vinyl records made anymore- You know-...
• 6:35
or are they all fancy colors... hilarious that sounded? No, [laughs] I just was, I, eh, I didn't say that... in color, charcoal colored. [laughs] Right. Right. Vinyl. Ebony. Yeah.
• 6:46
It comes in your choice of colors, black, ebony, or charcoal. Some office furniture ad, I think, from back when. Got it. [laughs] I don't know why I was doing this.
• 6:56
I wrote it down, though, so I'm gonna, I'm gonna say it. I'm gonna roll with it. I'm gonna talk about it. Uh, Fatbike.com- Eh... where we are actually going to put the old table back in the old room after this show.
• 7:09
Where it all started. Yes- Sorta... because I've got that prepared for it now, but over a half a million listeners to that dang old Fatbike.com- Since-... radio... since started?
• 7:20
Si- well, yeah, when we started it, and, and 10 years is coming up. Yeah. April- That's impressive... April 25th, 2024 would be, I think, the first show that Gomez and I did. Huh.
• 7:33
Uh, so maybe April 25th we'll have a 10-year dang old podcast anniversary. Mm. I mean, you know, uh, f- full, full spectrum was a, a good chunk of that.
• 7:43
We've lost a ton of listeners [laughs] moving to our own site- [laughs]... just because we, it's a site doesn't get that much traffic yet, but,
• 7:50
um, anyway, congratulations Fatbike.com, over 500,000 episodes listened to, and there's, I don't know, f- almost 450, I think, shows up there. Right on. Some of them are worth, some of them are worth listening to again.
• 8:06
As long as I'm not in them. Yeah, well, no. [laughs] Uh, so- You bet... go, go back in the archives and check out, uh, Net Overunder or some of those shows that were really good. Or the Hundreds. Or the Hundreds.
• 8:17
The Hundreds was fun. That was a good- That was a good one, too. I gotta- Right on... remind myself of what happened. [laughs] It's a good, good talk. That was a, that was a what-the-hell-is-going-on time.
• 8:28
[laughs] Like, what the- That's how the cops showed up, then everyone sobered up immediately. That was, uh, they showed up a couple times. Yeah, I know. [laughs] And then I- I left...
• 8:35
I, I got, like, I, like, all anxious and whatever- I'm like, "Nah, I'm out of here"... but I'm just like, "Whatever." I'm like, "I'm at the w- furthest back possible."
• 8:43
Like, [laughs] they would have to go through 100 people to g- reach me, and by that time I'll, I've snuck out the back way- Right... by the Bernie Sanders people.
• 8:52
[laughs] Or they're tired of you, so they were just like, "Go home." Yeah. [laughs] That was fun, fun, fun. Yeah, yeah. Dang, To- Tony's got a lot of stuff on the old, uh- I was-... show notes.
• 9:01
You were, you were- I was throwing some notes in... you, we, we, we got the shout-out to Dan. Yep. You're, you're looking for tires for the bike you don't own yet. Right.
• 9:09
Well, you own it, but you haven't received it yet. I haven't received it yet. Yep, yep. Right on. So there's not, you're looking for three-inch tires, 20 by threes? I would like something at least two five.
• 9:18
The option is 2.35 or four, and you can't fit a four on this frame. Have you already determined that or- I've done my research. Oh, okay.
• 9:27
3.5 fits for summer when I go with the possibly the greatest tire name ever, the Karlo's Whisper- Karlo's [laughs]... by Specialized. No, it's the Karlo's Whisper. Never- Specialized new tire... never gonna- Jeffrey?
• 9:41
Never gonna drive again. Right? It's the neatest, and I have to say, the tread pattern looks pretty cool, and I get an extra half-inch tire on the, on the bike, which I think- [laughs]... will fill out nicely.
• 9:50
That'll be cool. And it's gum walled, so it's gonna add a little pizzazz to an ugly white bike. Yes, my bike's not terribly attractive, but- Whisper. It's a whisper tire... damn, does it sound like it's gonna be fun.
• 10:03
That's right, Craig Smith. Did it j- what? What? What? No, that's what [laughs]... No, no, no. I was calling out Whisper 'cause when I saw the Karlo's Whisper- Oh, oh...
• 10:14
and then there's Whisper, a River West denizen that- Oh, gosh... that is referred to as Whisper. As Whispering Jeff. Whispering Jeff. Whispering Jeff, who's always loud as hell. Yeah, you mean Tony Berger, Berger Tony.
• 10:27
Oh, my God, that guy. [laughs] I don't actually know him, but I know- I-... whenever I see him and he starts talking, I'm like, "Oh, God. It's that guy"... I freaked out.
• 10:35
I saw him, oh, shit, I saw him at Sabbatic on the way to the south side. So he was, it was just, what? I'm like, "That guy really looks like..." But I don't hear any words. Oh, I- Oh, you were with me, too.
• 10:47
Yeah, he, he was on, uh, low, low power mode. I've been there when he was there once, too. Yeah. Yeah. He was in low power mode. Yeah, [laughs] and for real, and then all of a sudden, boom, the voice went in and like...
• 10:57
There it is. [laughs] But yes, I have been, gone down a rabbit hole of tires now. I even ment- I even messaged Peter D'Antoni saying, "Hey, you got a 20-inch wheel in the front of that bike. What do you ride for studs?"
• 11:11
And he, same one I found, the Marathon, the Schwalbe Marathon 2.35. Looks like a very dice- nice tire. Yeah. Right? Well, most Schwalbe's are pretty decent- Right, of course... and hopefully it's, uh, durable, too. Yeah.
• 11:25
Durable. It's a little pricey, but, you know. Oh, well. Oh. We had a thing, and now the thing went away. Maybe he's on, maybe he'll call. There he is. Oh, hey. I don't know what's going on.
• 11:33
I g- I better push this green button- Yeah... so he doesn't get all ornery about not, you know, talking or something. All right. All right. [muttering] 11. Hey, welcome to the radio program, caller.
• 11:41
Who do we have on the line? Oh, is it me already? Oh, yeah, it, yeah, it's you. I, yeah, you called and then you went away, and then you called again and something. I don't know what happened. Oh. But here you are.
• 11:53
So sorry. Big Sexy checking in, yo. Where, where in the world is Big Sexy? I am in, uh, Williston, Florida. I couldn't tell you where that is. Where is that? Well, it's, uh, it, it's just north of Tampa.
• 12:11
It's just south of the swamp desert. I'll tell you what, the swamp desert's real and it's there. And between Tallahassee and Perry and then between Perry and Sealand is the swamp desert.
• 12:29
What's, what's a swamp desert like? And it, yeah. Now what, describe. It, it, there's- On America's Wing. There's nothing. There's nothing. It's just flat. There's a, there's a bike lane and, and there's a shoulder.
• 12:42
I mean, it's, it's fantastic. It's, it's like flat, straight pedaling for 42 miles, and then you get to Perry and Perry's pretty cool. I, and, and they just had a hurricane.
• 12:58
The, they got banged up by the hurricane, and a lot of people were like, "Oh yeah, you know, we just had a hurricane." I'm like, "Yeah, I know."
• 13:07
Yeah, that was the town that- In about a year- Is that the one that almost completely- Huh?... got wiped out? Is Perry the place that was pretty much destroyed, basically?
• 13:16
Well, I mean, the, uh, I mean, they, they, there's some damage. Yeah.
• 13:21
There's some damage and, and, you know, a- and I, I'm like, I'm like, "In a, in a year, in a year or so, you, you're gonna see that, that, that the hurricane was a good thing."
• 13:35
[laughs] And- No one- They, they, they weren't buying it. [laughs] They weren't buying it, but I'm like, "Trust me. I lived in New Orleans for 20 years. Sometimes a hurricane is a good thing." And I mean, I'm sorry.
• 13:49
I, I, I, I can't, I can't go away from that. Well, uh- [coughs]... Florida's been wiped off the map more than once, so I guess- Yeah, but it keeps coming back unfortunately. Yeah, it's kind of like the- Oh, Lord...
• 14:01
appendage hanging off the butt of the United States or something down there. Right, right, right, and, and I'm, I'm in the taint right now. [laughs] So you're, are you up, uh, uh, on the north, north end of Florida? I...
• 14:15
Is that where this desert is, the swamp desert? No, I'm, I'm- The base of the shaft of the wing. [laughs] I'm getting, I'm getting in, I'm getting into the dick.
• 14:25
I'm getting into the dick, but I'm, I'm, I, it, it's, uh, it's all about timing. It's all about timing. My, my mother, my mother is expecting me on December 4th and she's in Tampa.
• 14:39
She's, well, she's in the, the suburbs of Tampa and I'm like, okay, well, she's not expecting me till the 4th, so I gotta hang out in the taint for a little bit,
• 14:50
and I gotta, I gotta figure out what I, what the hell I'm doing. But I'm, I'm, I think I'm good enough at it now that I can arrive at my mom's house exactly when I tell her I'm gonna be there,
• 15:05
which is, like, late afternoon on Monday, so. Right on. So that, are you gonna be there through Christmas then? Are you, how long are you gonna stay in, in the Tampa area?
• 15:17
No, um, um, I'm only gonna be at my mom's for about a week, and then, and then I'm gonna head, I'm gonna head towards New Orleans. Um, so I gotta do all this over again.
• 15:30
I gotta do the swamp desert all over again, and then, then I'm gonna be in New Orleans about, uh, you know, the, the, the new year. And then, uh,
• 15:45
I've got, I've got my jobs and all that in New Orleans, and then, and then, uh, Easter Sunday I'll say, "Smell you later, New Orleans." [laughs] Yeah, man. Well, it sounds good. How, how's, uh, Heather holding up?
• 16:02
I saw you had some spoke, uh, broken spoke action. Oh, the, um, Heather, Heather's great. Heather's good. I had to tighten the, the rear chain again. The rear chain started falling off, so I said, okay, well,
• 16:20
I unpacked everything and tightened up the rear chain. Just about to, uh, the brake, the brake is not good. Not good at all. Uh, the front brake is not good, and I'm like, well,
• 16:36
I mean, I'm in the situation where I'm, I'm not gonna have much speed. I don't, I don't really need a brake. Yeah, it's pretty- You know?
• 16:44
It's pretty flat down there in Florida- So I'm gonna slow down a little bit, or-... so it's good that way. Say what? I said it's pretty flat down there. You don't have too much in the way of hills to worry, worry you.
• 16:53
Right. It, at the most I'm going five or seven miles per hour, and if I have to stop, I can put my feet down. Kind of Fred Flintstone style?
• 17:04
[laughs] Yeah, so I mean, the, the brake's giving me a little bit of trouble, and, uh, and I don't know what the hell is going on, but, um, something's squeaking and squawking in the, um, rear frame,
• 17:19
and the, the axle, the axle is not happy. But, uh, well, a dose of WD-40 usually quiets her down a little bit. So yeah.
• 17:31
Well, but me and my, me and my bro- my, um, I, I forgot to mention my, my brother is also flying into Tampa for the time I'm gonna be there, so we, we, we can...
• 17:44
We work house and we, we can, we can see what's going on with the fucking, the bike. And I, I don't know. It, it seem, it seems like, um, from Lexington, uh, Kentucky, where I had my, my girl Karen,
• 18:01
um, until here, I haven't had, I haven't had, like, a, um, a safe place or a, or a family or anything like that.
• 18:12
I, I've been just on my own for a long fucking time, and I can't, I can't wait to get to my mom's house and just be like, "Okay." Put my feet up for a second, man, you know? Yeah, for sure.
• 18:24
[laughs] I was just, I was just perusing Amazon while you were talking about the, uh, the sad state of affairs with Heather. There's, [laughs] there's a bike, there's an adult tricycle called a Moon Cool.
• 18:37
The Moon Cool adult tricycle. [laughs] What? [laughs] It's a three-wheeled seven-speed trike. Can you imagine having seven- Oh, really?... speeds? 289 bucks. I don't know. What the heck? Seven speeds. Wow. Yeah, I know.
• 18:53
Uh, I'll, I'll keep Heather, thank you. Yeah. [laughs] You're, you're loyal to the, to the end. Oh, absolutely. No, no, um, um, yeah, she, she, she's banged up, but just fine. I actually, uh...
• 19:10
Remember I sh- I, uh, sent you the pictures of the, of the broken spokes? Right, yep. Were you- And I, I replaced all the spokes, and yeah, the, there's still a little wobble through the wheel, but
• 19:24
all the spokes are still there, so I know it's not gonna, like, break or anything like that anytime soon. But, I mean, I'll, I'll tell you what,
• 19:33
and my mom says the same thing, says, "Well, Heather's almost five years old. You might wanna think about replacing her." I'm like, "No, no, no." Shush.
• 19:43
[laughs] I- I- if, if, if Heather can't go any further, I can't go any further. And if that's in Podunk, Alabama, fine. I guess that's where I'll live.
• 19:55
[laughs] Just ride it, ride it until you, you, uh, can't go any further, and that's where you're staying. I, I mean, I mean, I don't know. Do, do you have any better ideas? [laughs] Uh, the only idea, I mean, I...
• 20:08
You could certainly get somehow, uh, wheels built, you know, by somebody that builds wheels that are probably going to be much more, uh, long-lasting than what's coming from Schwinn from the factory. Right.
• 20:22
So then- But- Then that's really your main, that's been your main problem, is, is just, uh, your wheels have issues. Otherwise, I don't think there's a whole lot of other, uh, maintenance issues you've really had.
• 20:35
There's not much else to that bike. Uh-huh. Was that a alligator? What's that noise- Um-... in the s- An alligator? No, no, it was just, um, some chil- some children were passing through and, uh, and I said hi.
• 20:46
[laughs] And, um- Children can be like alligators... I'll, I'll... Thank you so much. I'll, I'll tell you what, when, when Heather is done, I'll know it. But when I'm... But I don't know when I'm gonna be done, ever.
• 21:04
I, I just... I, I don't know. Um, I just want, I want everybody to know that I'm not gonna fuckin', I'm not gonna stop. I'm not gonna stop. I'm gonna keep on going.
• 21:18
I'm gonna keep on moving and see how long I can do this for. And as soon as I can't do it anymore, hopefully I'm in River West. [laughs] Well, it's, uh... What was it this morning?
• 21:35
And, and, and I'll be like, "Okay, River West family, all right. Hey, guess this is where I'm gonna be for the rest of my life." [laughs] I don't know. It was 13 degrees this morning. Can- Mm-hmm...
• 21:45
can, can Big Sexy take the chill of the, uh- Oh... of the Milwaukee winter? It was cold. I've, I've got the warmest sleeping bag in the fucking world, I swear to God. Um,
• 21:58
I had a little, uh, little, uh, freeze warning going on in, uh, uh, southern Tennessee and northern Georgia, and I'm like, "Okay. Well, let's just see. One night, we can do it," you know, whatever.
• 22:13
And the, the, the temperature was supposed to get to 29 degrees. I don't know if it did or not, but I, I was fine until I had to get out of my sleeping bag. Then it was, then it was cold. Then it was like, "Oh, shit.
• 22:27
Okay. Now let's get to the gas station and warm up." Whatever. Yeah, that is- It's like- That is always the camping thing for me- Come on, man... that living outside, it's, it's not going to sleep, it's waking up.
• 22:40
[laughs] Yep. No, and, and that, and that's, and that's really what it is. It's like, it...
• 22:46
When, when I, when I wake up in the morning, a- a- and it's usually around 4:30, 5:00, and I'm like, "Ah, I'm not going nowhere till 6:00."
• 22:55
So I put on a couple episodes of The Simpsons and I, and I snuggle up in my sleeping bag. And then it's like 6:10, 6:10 or so hits, I'm like, "Okay, I gotta get up
• 23:08
because, you know, people are gonna start walking their dogs through this park," blah, blah, blah, whatever. And I'm like, "Okay. Damn it." And then I get up, I'm like, "Oh, man, it's cold."
• 23:19
And then I, I, I try to, I try to pack up my shit as fast as I can and get to the gas station and, and pretend I'm taking the longest dump in the whole wide world, but I'm just sitting in there warming up.
• 23:33
[laughs] Sounds good. Well, you're, you're a professional at it- I don't know... for sure. Definitely, uh- Well, I mean, yeah, after four, after four years, I better be good at it. Right?
• 23:44
Are you, uh, are you putting your tips down in a journal so that you can share 'em with other people when the time comes to, uh, you know, say, "Big Sexy says dot, dot, dot"? Oh, man, I, I've, I...
• 23:59
At least I've got it in my head.
• 24:01
And I was thinking, you know, uh, uh, I was thinking that Drunken Uncle Backhouse, uh, On The Road, uh, podcast I was thinking about was, would be just me speaking into the microphone and just saying everything I think about and everything I, uh, everything I, uh, register in my brain.
• 24:23
But yeah, it, I, I, I got a lot of things in my brain that, I mean- It's more like, um, I know what I'm doing,
• 24:35
but good lord, if I didn't have the people like, uh, the Holtz brothers and, and like you guys, and like Dave, uh, Lunz, and Wily Coyote, and, and you know, if I didn't have you guys, I, I don't know where I'd be.
• 24:52
But if I didn't, if I didn't meet you guys, how... I mean, it, it, it, it, it all comes together. It's like you're- It all comes together... it's like you're blessed Right.
• 25:09
And, and, and I'll tell you what, if, if something in the universe didn't want me to succeed at what I'm doing, it's doing a really bad job of, uh, of making me fail.
• 25:24
[laughs] That's a good way to put it, man. Sweet. So, uh- I mean, l- lit- literally, I, I, I make it somehow, some way You, you... Yeah, you do.
• 25:37
Well, leave us with a thought, 'cause we're gonna wrap this sucker up for to- tonight, and then, uh, you know, when you, when you're on the road again, let's, let's catch up.
• 25:46
Well, I'll say, I'll tell you what, a week from today, I will be at my mommy's house, and my mother always gives me Disney World. So,
• 26:03
let's just say Big Sexy's going to [laughs] Disney World. [laughs] I'm gonna go to Star Wars. Hey, why don't we- I'm gonna, I'm gonna fly the Millennium Falcon, assholes...
• 26:13
what do you, what do you think about having your mom on the show? We should- Just sit there in Wisconsin and, and suck on that... we should have your mother on the show, man. That would be cool. Right.
• 26:24
But at the same time, my mother makes me earn it, and uh, uh, my brother was down there a couple, uh, or maybe a year or two ago, and I haven't been to my mother's in four years, so guess who's gonna work his ass off at my mother's house?
• 26:43
That would be Big Sexy. That would be me. But I'm also gonna get to go to Disney World, and fly the Millennium Falcon, and blah, blah, blah, blah. [laughs] That's a good- So there...
• 26:54
that's a good enough reason to go there in my book. All right, Big Sexy. Hell, yeah. Well, uh, I'm glad you're going home to mom, and uh, we'll talk to you soon. Okay. Sounds good. Right on, sir.
• 27:06
Hey, look, put, put my, put my Venmo in, um, in the comments or whatever the fuck, because uh, I don't know what the fuck's going on here in Florida, but I, donations are standing. You betcha. All right, will do.
• 27:21
Talk to you soon. Thanks so much, you guys. Um, hey, look, love you guys. Uh, River West is the best. As soon as I do laundry, I'll be wearing my Ri- River West shirt all around Tampa Bay. All right. That...
• 27:37
Spread the love. [laughs] Absolutely. Hey, thanks, guys. Okay. Peace. Bye bye. See ya. Big Sexy everybody, down there in the taint of Florida apparently. [laughs] I...
• 27:54
Gosh, I've only been to Florida twice, and not- I got number one for me, and that's all I need... totally planning on going back. Never. I...
• 28:03
So on my way down there, I blew up the motor in my 86 and a half, which was the last gen- year of the, that generation of Toyota Supra. Oh. Six? Kinda didn't really blow it up, but... Oh, yeah, inline six.
• 28:17
And uh, it just, it was the head gasket went, which I drove it, I drove it to Atlanta, got a rental, went, finished my trip, picked it back up, drove it back to Milwaukee with five and a half cylinders, you know. Wow.
• 28:30
And uh, Auto Teknik at the time redid the head gasket, and it was good as new. Those motors were bulletproof. They really were. Yeah. And it was 137 miles an hour [laughs] when it- When it blowed up...
• 28:42
wh- when it went, when it started steaming out the tailpipe, which I thought was not a good thing. [laughs] So, I see some stuff on this... I don't know if I put this [laughs] shit on here.
• 28:53
What is this stuff about these KPoint Classic Hikiloon... Did I put that on there? I didn't. How'd that get on there? [laughs] What? I don't even know what it is. It mi- it must be snow crown or something. I don't know.
• 29:04
I gotta figure out why these words are on here, this, this, uh, fat bike racing series. Uh, could be huge ass too, though. Oh. [laughs] I guess. I don't even know what the heck's going on. I'll figure that out by- Oh...
• 29:16
next show. But here's a, a question before we go, because uh, tomorrow is Global Fat Bike Day, as well as- Santa, Santa Sa- Santa Rampage I know him. I know him. [laughs] I- I know him. Is that movie on?
• 29:32
Like- I just watched it... non, non-stop? [laughs] It's fucking awesome. You know what? I, I, I have successfully avoided it for, I don't know, uh, four years now. It's one of those ones.
• 29:42
But I think I can allow myself back in there. It's not bad. Go ahead. That was part of the Will Ferrell overload. Dun, dun, dun. Yeah. Everywhere. It was like- It's Bob Hope. Bob Hope... st- step, step away. He did.
• 29:52
Newhart. Bob Newhart. [laughs] He claims that's his greatest... Yeah, Bob Hope, thank you. [laughs] Bob Newhart thinks, thinks that's his greatest movie ever. Uh, uh, uh, uh,
• 30:02
uh, uh, uh, uh, the, the, did he says the s- so... Yeah. He does- I mean, it was good. It was good. It was good... and that's my Bob Newhart.
• 30:07
Yeah, he did, he did one of the best jobs of talking to somebody on a phone when there was nobody on the other end of the phone. Yeah.
• 30:13
[laughs] I thought that was one of his be- uh, uh, oh, yeah- I, I had a friend, I had a friend who was, like, he had the best description of, uh, talking to a girl. She's, [laughs] he's like,
• 30:24
"I know, I know there's something special about that girl, 'cause every time I try talking to her, I end up l- I end up sounding like Bob Newhart." [laughs] [laughs] And I was like- Yeah, you do, dude.
• 30:34
[laughs] What I- Yeah I can hear it from here, man Yeah, for sure. But- So what, do, do you guys have, uh, Global Fat Bike Day/Santa Rampage plans? Nope. Uh, yes. I want to do some riding as Santa.
• 30:50
Did you pick up your, uh, yearly supply- Mm... of, uh, felt, uh, waterproofing material spray? Uh, that was part of my, uh, Black Friday weekend Amazon purchase. Very bold. Very bold, yeah.
• 31:05
I was like, "It, I got the tent sealant. Some way should be in." Uh, it already came in and it worked out perfectly. It's already here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's, it's, uh, actually- [laughs]...
• 31:15
the second is the last day of only having- Right... of having four people in my house, because on the 3rd, my daughter turns 18, I'm kicking her ass out. Oh, ge- get out, Cleo.
• 31:26
You're, y- sh- I'm getting her up 5:00 in the morning. I'm like, "Come on, now." [laughs] "Here's your bag." I should have a- "Walk out." I should have a half a bottle of the tent sealant for anything. Yeah.
• 31:34
Uh, it does need 24 hours to cure. She might need that. She might need that, but- Yeah, so... She's gonna be living out on the curb? Possibly. [laughs] But waterproofed. [laughs] Waterproofed on the curb.
• 31:43
Just spray, just spray it on the person, not the, not the tent. That's great. [laughs] Then it doesn't matter what you wear.
• 31:47
So I'm gonna do a, uh, I'm gonna do a, a fat bike ride of some sort, just, like, probably around the hood- [coughs]... or around the beer or something.
• 31:53
Well, there was a, I wouldn't call it an anti-Rampage, but an anti-establish Rampage thing going around, and then Dave S- uh, Lunz said, uh, "Oh, Chad and I are gonna go up to Traverse and we're gonna do the thing up there."
• 32:06
I'm like- Then fuck you... "Well, I was gonna go to Decorah 'cause Chewy's got no hockey game. Apparently it got canceled, so he wants to do something in Decorah, but nah." It's a long drive- It is...
• 32:16
just to hang out with Chewy of all people. Well- [laughs]... I mean, that's pro- one of the greatest things in the world is hanging- Decorah... hanging at Chewy's house. Yeah, in Decorah. It is Decorah.
• 32:23
But, uh, I don't know. I'm just, I'm, I'm broke, and that's no joke. So I'm think I'm gonna be, uh, meandering around town with some...
• 32:33
I do need to find the box that has the Santa crap in it, though, because- And all I must say-... there's a lot of boxes of crap around this place...
• 32:39
is I'm not gonna do too much riding, but I'm gonna do enough, uh, because at the Turner Hall is the English Beat. They... That's right. It's a good show.
• 32:49
I saw them at the- I still need to try to win tickets, but I, uh, if I have to break down and- I did see them one, during the Santa Rampage one year and it was very good. I have until 10:00 tonight to- Potentially win?
• 33:00
No. Well, yes, but to... There's a, there's a special, uh, on the, on Pap's website. Mm. Oh. So 50% off tickets. Tonight? Tonight- Oh. Tonight- Tonight in the past. Tonight in the past. Real tonight, yeah, yeah.
• 33:15
Right on. [laughs] You say you can't win, you can't... Yeah. All right. It's the only one that it was, like, 50, or the only thing that was worth 50% off.
• 33:22
There's, like, all these other- I like a pretty damn good 50% off... like, weird... Well, I mean- For a good show. No, i- that's the thing. A lot of them are, like, they could be entertaining. Like, you know- Yeah...
• 33:32
tribute acts or, like, little kid, like, Baby Shark Live- Yeah, no... and crap like that. Well, what, sh- if you, if you have- Baby Shark, Du, du, du, du, du, du...
• 33:40
if you have to go to something of that- Du, du, du, du... and you have to pay, at least you don't have to pay that much. [laughs] Oh, yeah. That's all I'm saying. Forgot about this, too. [bell rings] Hey. Oh, man.
• 33:50
We're at the top of the hill and it's the end of the ride, and, uh- We barely got through one beer. We, yeah, we barely got through the- It was good beer. I crushed it. It was the [laughs] it was the rope swing- IPA...
• 33:59
uh, from Limestone Brewers out there in Osage- Couple weeks ago... from our, uh, our trip out there when we did the... What, what'd we do out there? And I got the Athletico. Oh, some Fatoberfest business. Yeah. So.
• 34:08
And JK got the Athletic company. The hazy Athletic that actually tastes like a- It's pretty damn good beer. It tastes of beer. It's shockingly beery. Yeah. I had one last night. I'm like, "JK's gonna like this." Yeah.
• 34:21
The, their A- their IPAs taste like beer. Right on. You go light- That's not- You go lighter, they don't so much... that's not the place that we talked to the lady- No... from that one time.
• 34:29
No, we always, we always come up with- I thought it was, but it's not, is it? [laughs] What was hers? I don't remember. [laughs] Something terrible. It was s- similarly named. We have to find out- Simply named...
• 34:39
because I keep telling people that's who it is, and it's not. No. It is. No, no, no. She was something even worse. Yeah, because- Her beers were horrid. And, yeah.
• 34:45
The one that it was spicy and we didn't even understand what that was. And one was salty. I just li- Spicy. I just liked all the marketing speak on the, when she was on the show. Yeah.
• 34:53
And she did, I think, sell that to Sierra Nevada for a couple of hundred million. Yeah. So apparently, whatever, however she was- I don't think it was quite that much, but it was a lot of money... whatever.
• 35:00
She was talking a lot, and they bought it, and yeah. That would be great. I bet she doesn't listen to our show anymore, though. [laughs] Probably not. Right? And if you do, call in. Yeah, call in.
• 35:09
And give us a shout-out. Yeah, let us know what you're doing. All right, everybody. This is the thing where we say bye. Bye. Bye. See you tomorrow. Now. Now. [upbeat music] Now.
