- 2:22Speaker 1: Concepcion has nine hundred and one all purpose yards this year.
- 2:28Speaker 1: He is joined by Texas Tech's Jacoby Williams, Notre Dames,
- 2:33Speaker 1: Juderion Price, Louisville's Colin Lacy, Wade Knight of James Madison,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and Jonah Coleman of Washington. A day after incoming LSU president,
- 2:45Speaker 1: doctor Wade Rouse announced he would elevate interim athletic director
- 2:51Speaker 1: Ausbury to the full time job. He said, I may
- 2:55Speaker 1: have misspoke. I don't know what permanent means versus removing
- 3:00Speaker 1: the interim tack. This is just fun to watch, isn't
- 3:04Speaker 1: it from the outside. Rice is set to announce a
- 3:08Speaker 1: one hundred twenty million dollars wholesale stadium renovation, part of
- 3:13Speaker 1: a project to further connect campus with nearby Rice Village
- 3:18Speaker 1: entertainment district. The renovation will reduce the capacity to thirty
- 3:24Speaker 1: thousand in what was originally a seventy thousand stadium and
- 3:30Speaker 1: increase premium ticketing opportunity, which means a new press level,
- 3:37Speaker 1: adding suites and a premium club level at Rice Stadium.
- 3:42Speaker 1: In a letter to Congress, Charlie Baker of the n
- 3:46Speaker 1: C Double A asks for them to grant protection around
- 3:50Speaker 1: eligibility standards. According to Baker, the court's chiseling away of
- 3:55Speaker 1: the NC Double a's ability to enforce eligibility rules is decent, stabilizing,
- 4:01Speaker 1: and threatening college sports. Charlie, You're way, way too late.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Kenny Dillingham told his team he ain't going anywhere. Rumors
- 4:13Speaker 1: label Dillingham is a candidate for multiple jobs. He walked
- 4:18Speaker 1: into position meeting rooms last week and said he wasn't
- 4:23Speaker 1: going anywhere and it's going to be business as usual.
- 4:27Speaker 1: That quoted an Arizona State defensive player.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Then he left.
- 4:31Speaker 1: He also did that with the other positions on the
- 4:33Speaker 1: team because those players heard the same thing and talked
- 4:36Speaker 1: about it afterward. Former Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald says
- 4:42Speaker 1: he feels one hundred percent vindicated in the wake of
- 4:46Speaker 1: an August settlement of his wrongful termination lawsuit against the school. Fitzgerald,
- 4:51Speaker 1: speaking publicly for the first time, told ESPN's College Game
- 4:55Speaker 1: Day podcast he spent the last two years preparing to
- 4:59Speaker 1: return to coaching and is actively seeking a return. I
- 5:03Speaker 1: feel very fortunate. I feel fully vindicated. Northwestern fired Fitzgerald
- 5:09Speaker 1: amidst allegations of hazing and the college football program. Fitzgerald
- 5:14Speaker 1: followed a one hundred and thirty million dollar wrongful termination suit,
- 5:18Speaker 1: which was settled in August, the terms of which were
- 5:21Speaker 1: not made public. The school released a statement noted inappropriate
- 5:27Speaker 1: conduct in the football program did occur. The evidence uncovered
- 5:31Speaker 1: during the extensive discovery did not establish any player reporting
- 5:36Speaker 1: hazing to coach Fitzgerald, or that Fitzgerald condoned or directed
- 5:41Speaker 1: any of the hazing. College football tonight, the road Runners
- 5:46Speaker 1: of UT San Antonio are at South Florida. Dallas Cowboys
- 5:52Speaker 1: defensive end Marshawn Neeland was found dead early this morning
- 5:56Speaker 1: in Frisco from an apparent self inflicted gun show wound
- 6:01Speaker 1: after crashing his car following a police chase. Officers attempted
- 6:06Speaker 1: to stop Neeland's vehicle at ten thirty last night when
- 6:09Speaker 1: the driver refused to stop, resulting in a chase terminated
- 6:14Speaker 1: when DPS troopers lost sight of the car. It was
- 6:17Speaker 1: located abandoned after being involved in a crash on Dallas Parkway.
- 6:22Speaker 1: According to Frisco Police, initial reports indicated Neeland fled from
- 6:26Speaker 1: the scene on foot. He was found at one thirty
- 6:29Speaker 1: a m. The Plano Police Department confirmed that a welfare
- 6:34Speaker 1: concern check was conducted at an address associated with Neeland
- 6:39Speaker 1: Wednesday night at eleven forty, but the officers didn't find
- 6:43Speaker 1: anybody home at the time. The Texas Rangers announced game
- 6:47Speaker 1: times for all eighty one home games at Globe Life,
- 6:51Speaker 1: including this home opener April third, against the Cincinnati Reds
- 6:58Speaker 1: at three oh five. Most night games will be seven o'clock.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Eleven of the thirteen Saturday games will be six o'clock
- 7:07Speaker 1: or three five. All thirteen Sunday games are scheduled to
- 7:13Speaker 1: start at one thirty five. Bruce Bochi, who managed the
- 7:18Speaker 1: Giants and Rangers, to World Series, apparently is ending his
- 7:23Speaker 1: managerial career. Bouchie said, I'm looking forward to getting back
- 7:28Speaker 1: to the Bay. He is a special assistant to the Giants.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to getting back to the Giants with
- 7:34Speaker 1: familiar faces and hopefully bring value in any way I can.
- 7:41Speaker 1: The Giants have hired University of Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Dusty Baker is also a special assistant on that staff,
- 7:53Speaker 1: which may be the most experienced special assistant staff ever.
- 7:59Speaker 1: The padre Us have hired a new manager, Craig Staman,
- 8:04Speaker 1: who was a member of the front office among those
- 8:08Speaker 1: interviewing candidates asking questions about a new manager, decided, Hey,
- 8:13Speaker 1: I think I can do this job. So Stamman, who
- 8:18Speaker 1: spent thirteen years in the majors, mostly as a relief
- 8:22Speaker 1: pitcher and some of that with the Podres, is the
- 8:26Speaker 1: new San Diego manager. All Right, we're going to take
- 8:30Speaker 1: a break, We're going to come back. We're going to

- 9:11Speaker 1: You're twenty twenty five NASCAR Cup Series Champion is Kyle Larson.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Never did I feel like I had it. I was
- 9:18Speaker 5: honestly surprised people had stayed out. I thought I was
- 9:21Speaker 5: gonna line up on the front row with Ryan and
- 9:22Speaker 5: I was like, Okay, this is gonna be good. He's
- 9:24Speaker 5: gonna choose the bottom. I know what to expect into
- 9:27Speaker 5: one with grip. And then when they said, you know,
- 9:29Speaker 5: a few of them stayed out, I was like, oh no,
- 9:30Speaker 5: this is this is not good. I was able to
- 9:34Speaker 5: line up behind Alex and just run really hard through
- 9:38Speaker 5: one and two and get the clean air I needed,
- 9:39Speaker 5: and I just I thought my hope was that Denny
- 9:43Speaker 5: was not gonna get you know, a great one and two.
- 9:46Speaker 5: But I thought, you know, with four fresh tires, he
- 9:48Speaker 5: might he'll get through there well and we might be
- 9:51Speaker 5: side by side, And you know, I thought that's how
- 9:53Speaker 5: it kind of would net out off of two. And
- 9:56Speaker 5: I got a better one in two than I expected.
- 9:58Speaker 5: And then, yeah, for a bit, I thought I was
- 10:01Speaker 5: gonna win. And they were going very kind of crazy
- 10:05Speaker 5: on the radio.
- 10:05Speaker 2: My spot was.
- 10:06Speaker 5: And uh, tell me that the eleven was you know,
- 10:09Speaker 5: kind of jammed up back there, and I was going
- 10:13Speaker 5: to be committed to the outside lane. I felt like
- 10:14Speaker 5: that was gonna be my best opportunity to find clean
- 10:16Speaker 5: air and and you know, maintain momentum, and and yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 5: I was just kind of trying not to crash there
- 10:22Speaker 5: at the end, but I still wanted.
- 10:23Speaker 6: To win really bad.
- 10:24Speaker 5: You know, It's been a while, so I was trying
- 10:26Speaker 5: what I could to win the race. But yeah, we
- 10:29Speaker 5: did what we had to do to win the championship,
- 10:31Speaker 5: and just insane, insane circumstances to get us to this point.
- 10:36Speaker 2: This is the final app.
- 10:39Speaker 7: I love a day on the water with friends, but
- 10:41Speaker 7: my moderate to severe flax rises sometimes holds me back.

- 10:56Speaker 8: arthritis can limit me at times. Now I'm treating my
- 10:58Speaker 8: joint symptoms with sky Rizzy.

- 11:31Speaker 8: your doctor about Skyrizzy. Visit skyrizzy dot com or call

- 11:53Speaker 2: Goodbye you Me Gotta go o, my.
- 11:59Speaker 8: Me gott pulled to pe ruled.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Down to bye bye Long the sweetest won man.
- 12:08Speaker 1: This guy was so prolific and such a short amount
- 12:14Speaker 1: of time.
- 12:15Speaker 2: I think he was twenty seven when he died.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Uh my gosh, did he write a lot of songs
- 12:23Speaker 1: in a unbelievable songs in a short amount of time.
- 12:28Speaker 2: It gets to twenty nine.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Okay, anyway, thanks for being with us on this Thursday.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Glad to have you with us.
- 12:40Speaker 1: One of the guys who's come on among many young
- 12:43Speaker 1: guy on the front lines here is Marco Jones.
- 12:49Speaker 6: How I feel like this first season's going before you
- 12:51Speaker 6: sent part good?
- 12:52Speaker 10: I feel good, definitely, just really like taking in all
- 12:55Speaker 10: the older guys that are in the group, the whole
- 12:57Speaker 10: d line. Everybody's been helping me out. Just trying to
- 13:00Speaker 10: get better and better every day, so.
- 13:03Speaker 6: Get through.
- 13:05Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean I think I've been proved pretty well,
- 13:06Speaker 10: just you know, just trying to like I said earlier,
- 13:08Speaker 10: just trying to get better and better every day, you know,
- 13:11Speaker 10: like just trying to take if I could learn one
- 13:13Speaker 10: new thing every day, I could you know, have a
- 13:15Speaker 10: have a deep twol bag by you know when it's
- 13:18Speaker 10: really my time to time to go.
- 13:19Speaker 6: So I'm just just trying to get better. But I
- 13:21Speaker 6: think I've been doing all right, So I'll just.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Say you got talent, you know that, But like, what
- 13:26Speaker 1: was there a moment this year that you were like, okay, like.
- 13:28Speaker 6: I've been wrong.
- 13:29Speaker 10: Yeah, I would probably say like around like in the
- 13:32Speaker 10: middle of fall camp. I'll probably say when I really
- 13:34Speaker 10: was like that, like you know, competition, going through everybody's
- 13:37Speaker 10: you know, going through it, and when I started really
- 13:40Speaker 10: like kind of understand how, you know, like my game
- 13:43Speaker 10: more right, like not just going out there running around
- 13:45Speaker 10: trying to make players, like really understanding where I.
- 13:46Speaker 6: Fit in kind of my role.
- 13:48Speaker 10: And I think that's kind of where like when I
- 13:50Speaker 10: learned like, you know, I'm supposed to be here and
- 13:52Speaker 10: I'm at the right place. It's been your favorite in
- 13:54Speaker 10: game moment as a Ninjager so far, I'll say personally
- 13:58Speaker 10: probably like the mob sack against Arkansas.
- 14:02Speaker 6: That was kind of a cool feeling, but not like.
- 14:04Speaker 10: For me personally, I'll probably say watching Cash get three
- 14:06Speaker 10: sacks that was pretty cool.
- 14:07Speaker 6: Cat, that was pretty cool.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Is there any guy that's taken you into their wing
- 14:11Speaker 5: maybe so far, maybe been towards you a little bit?
- 14:13Speaker 10: Yeah, I would say definitely like Cash No Nadone pretty
- 14:18Speaker 10: much all that the guys in the end room, I mean,
- 14:21Speaker 10: they're all like, you know, because I'm like the young
- 14:22Speaker 10: guy in the group, so they all like, you know,
- 14:24Speaker 10: help me, you know, give me advice, you know, help
- 14:27Speaker 10: me out, give me, you know, tips and tricks to
- 14:29Speaker 10: do stuff like.
- 14:30Speaker 6: That, just so I could get better and better every day.
- 14:32Speaker 11: I'm curious, what does a guy who's actually plays the position, like,
- 14:36Speaker 11: what is.
- 14:37Speaker 6: You kind of touched on? What did your reaction?
- 14:39Speaker 12: One?
- 14:39Speaker 6: Are your thoughts when you see Cashes?
- 14:41Speaker 11: How I haven't been kind of Sea's making some of
- 14:42Speaker 11: them the plays he made because of course we're gonna
- 14:44Speaker 11: be impressed with you.
- 14:46Speaker 10: Yeah, I think, you know, it's definitely different, like like
- 14:49Speaker 10: seeing somebody like that, he's a great guy, great teammate,
- 14:52Speaker 10: a great leader, and like seeing somebody like that excel
- 14:54Speaker 10: and finally get his moment that he's been able to,
- 14:57Speaker 10: that he's been waiting for, and you know, like he's
- 14:59Speaker 10: been same player since he went to college, right And
- 15:02Speaker 10: and I think, like I'm super happy for him, and
- 15:04Speaker 10: also like it's cool because now I can start to
- 15:06Speaker 10: pick up on some of the things that he does
- 15:08Speaker 10: really well and try and steal a few things. But
- 15:10Speaker 10: I think like you know, watching him, watching him do
- 15:12Speaker 10: well and all that, Like he's probably the best edgebrusher
- 15:15Speaker 10: in the nation right now in my opinion.
- 15:17Speaker 6: So I mean it's really cool because it been anything
- 15:19Speaker 6: he did to be like, how.
- 15:20Speaker 10: Do you do that?
- 15:21Speaker 1: Oh?
- 15:21Speaker 10: Yeah, it's ever that's an everyday occurrence. It's something new
- 15:24Speaker 10: every day, whether it's him pulling out some random move
- 15:26Speaker 10: or him just like recovering really well like something like that.
- 15:30Speaker 6: But yeah, he every single day. I'm like, damn, I
- 15:32Speaker 6: don't know how he did that.
- 15:34Speaker 13: Soll what has been your biggest adjustment to Texas from California?
- 15:39Speaker 6: The heat? For sure, I definitely say.
- 15:41Speaker 10: I mean, you can't really beat California weather. In my opinion,
- 15:44Speaker 10: it's pretty nice every day. So I definitely say like
- 15:47Speaker 10: going through fall camp and kind of summer through like
- 15:50Speaker 10: the early fall, Like I mean, I got used to
- 15:52Speaker 10: it after a while, but definitely like the weather out here,
- 15:55Speaker 10: it being hot and then raining for forty five minutes
- 15:57Speaker 10: and then being hot again, so a.
- 16:00Speaker 9: Point where it hits you that you thought, what am
- 16:02Speaker 9: I doing here and.
- 16:03Speaker 6: How am I going to adjusted to this?
- 16:04Speaker 10: No, not really, I mean my my kind of deal
- 16:07Speaker 10: was just like you know, I knew already like going
- 16:10Speaker 10: into college, like even before I made a decision to
- 16:12Speaker 10: come here, Like wherever I go, the weather's gonna be
- 16:14Speaker 10: a lot worse than you know, California. So I was like,
- 16:18Speaker 10: you know, I'm just gonna have to suck it up
- 16:19Speaker 10: and just be all right.
- 16:20Speaker 6: So kind of you do you.
- 16:21Speaker 14: Still thin feel like you have a future do in
- 16:23Speaker 14: baseball or is it football?
- 16:25Speaker 3: What's kind of your your future plans to play for that?
- 16:27Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely.
- 16:28Speaker 10: I mean when when football season ends, you know, hopefully
- 16:30Speaker 10: after that national championship, then you know, I'll go play baseball.
- 16:34Speaker 6: So I'm still still playing on playing baseball for sure.
- 16:37Speaker 15: You know what kind of broughtchet A and M and
- 16:39Speaker 15: kind of like, you know, how'd you get connected coming
- 16:42Speaker 15: from California. There's haven't been a ton of California kids
- 16:44Speaker 15: come to A and M here in these recent years.
- 16:46Speaker 10: Yeah, I think personally for me, it's really just like
- 16:49Speaker 10: the culture, like the culture that Coach Echo and all
- 16:52Speaker 10: the coaches bring in, and like the culture behind you know,
- 16:56Speaker 10: A and M as a whole university is different than
- 16:58Speaker 10: anywhere else in the country.
- 16:59Speaker 6: I Mean, it's something I wanted to be a part of.
- 17:01Speaker 10: I feel like, but like for this whole team, like
- 17:04Speaker 10: everybody's a brother, and for the whole university, everybody feels
- 17:07Speaker 10: connected as well, like with how like tight knick kind
- 17:09Speaker 10: of the traditions and all that type of stuff.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Who is Elco's message this by week?
- 17:13Speaker 3: Obviously guys eight no one lemish. But now it starts
- 17:15Speaker 3: to get real for you guys.
- 17:16Speaker 6: What was the message?
- 17:17Speaker 10: Yeah, I think the message was just keep our foot
- 17:18Speaker 10: on the pedal, right, Like we can't take any days
- 17:20Speaker 10: off because that one day off that other team, like
- 17:23Speaker 10: another team is getting better and that that could be
- 17:25Speaker 10: the difference between a winning and loss. So I think
- 17:27Speaker 10: really just you know, keeping our foot on the pedal
- 17:29Speaker 10: and you know, keeping the main thing the main thing
- 17:31Speaker 10: at the end of the day.
- 17:32Speaker 16: Did you watch much of the World Series and are
- 17:33Speaker 16: you a Dodgers fan.
- 17:34Speaker 10: I'm not a Dodgers fan, but I did watch the
- 17:36Speaker 10: World Series.
- 17:37Speaker 17: I do.
- 17:38Speaker 10: I do like the Dodgers though, like they're just not
- 17:40Speaker 10: my favorite team. But yeah, I think it was an
- 17:43Speaker 10: interesting World Series. Good for the Dodgers to go back
- 17:45Speaker 10: to back. It's always cool to see a team go
- 17:47Speaker 10: back to bed.
- 17:47Speaker 18: Which face which baseball player do you monitor your game.
- 17:50Speaker 10: After Oh, I don't really, that's a great question. I'll
- 17:55Speaker 10: probably say like bits of Aaron Judge and like when
- 17:58Speaker 10: I was younger, I always wanted to be like Andrew
- 17:59Speaker 10: mcaut so that was that was That was one one
- 18:01Speaker 10: person I really kind of looked up to when as
- 18:03Speaker 10: a kid.
- 18:04Speaker 16: Was life like growing up in California?
- 18:06Speaker 6: For you? Yeah, life was great. I mean, the weather's nice.
- 18:09Speaker 10: The people are definitely different than out here, a little meaner,
- 18:11Speaker 10: but it's still They're still cool. But you know, both
- 18:15Speaker 10: of my parents like gave me, like, you know, they
- 18:17Speaker 10: they worked really hard when I was a kid. So
- 18:19Speaker 10: I think really like I couldn't can't complain about anything
- 18:22Speaker 10: like how I grew up. It was a great It
- 18:23Speaker 10: was a great growing up in California to belt.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Okay, so you don't like the Texas weather? What do
- 18:27Speaker 6: you like with seventy five degrees?
- 18:30Speaker 5: No?
- 18:30Speaker 6: I mean, what do you like about Texas? If you
- 18:31Speaker 6: don't like the lib Oh? What do I like about Texas?
- 18:35Speaker 10: The people are really nice, The people are really nice,
- 18:37Speaker 10: the food's pretty good.
- 18:40Speaker 6: And Texas A and L what did go? What have
- 18:44Speaker 6: you made about it?
- 18:45Speaker 19: Just the impact the freshman classes made with guys like Tomorrow.
- 18:48Speaker 6: And Rain and McHale's a lot of guys see in
- 18:51Speaker 6: the field.
- 18:52Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, we have one
- 18:53Speaker 10: of the best freshman classes in the country. I think
- 18:56Speaker 10: like it's all just like you know, we have a
- 18:58Speaker 10: lot of under the radar type of guys that come
- 19:00Speaker 10: in here, and you know, we all just put our
- 19:02Speaker 10: head down and worked really hard. And I think what
- 19:04Speaker 10: helps us a lot is that, like you know, we're
- 19:06Speaker 10: all supporting each other, right, Like we're all we're all
- 19:09Speaker 10: rooting each other on, whether it's us, the older guys whatever.
- 19:12Speaker 6: We're all like super tight.
- 19:13Speaker 10: So I think that just helps you boost your own
- 19:15Speaker 10: play and boost your teammates playing when you're.
- 19:17Speaker 6: All just like a type brotherhood.
- 19:19Speaker 9: What you said about your position coaches that seem to
- 19:23Speaker 9: make them so successful to.
- 19:24Speaker 6: The all big talent.
- 19:25Speaker 10: Yeah, I think what makes like you know, our room successful,
- 19:28Speaker 10: like from our coaches standpoint, is just like them understanding
- 19:31Speaker 10: the type of players they have, Like you know, not
- 19:33Speaker 10: everybody rushes the same or has the same play style
- 19:36Speaker 10: our position, and that's not a bad thing at all, right,
- 19:39Speaker 10: Like you you kind of want diversity in that and
- 19:41Speaker 10: that aspect of it. And I think them, just understanding
- 19:43Speaker 10: what type of player like each person is and like
- 19:46Speaker 10: kind of plugging and playing them in like wherever they
- 19:49Speaker 10: see fit. It's really what like makes makes us special.
- 19:52Speaker 5: Is it hard to sit out a baseball season this
- 19:55Speaker 5: last spring and kind of won't win into that decision.
- 19:58Speaker 6: No, it wasn't too hard to sit out. I mean
- 19:59Speaker 6: because is you know, like midyear, I.
- 20:01Speaker 10: Kind of knew, like I was, I was gonna play
- 20:03Speaker 10: football first and then play baseball after. But yeah, I
- 20:06Speaker 10: think you know, that was the whole whole reason I
- 20:08Speaker 10: graduated high school early, was to come here and kind
- 20:10Speaker 10: of get a head start and you know in football
- 20:12Speaker 10: and really just you know, like get bigger, faster, stronger,
- 20:15Speaker 10: And that was kind of the way that I saw fit.
- 20:17Speaker 13: What are the biggest benefits of that extra time, that
- 20:20Speaker 13: extra semester you've had here in your opinion.
- 20:22Speaker 10: Looking back at it, Yeah, I would say the biggest
- 20:24Speaker 10: benefits really were just getting like I said, bigger, faster, stronger,
- 20:28Speaker 10: really like adjusting to the to the speed and tempo
- 20:31Speaker 10: of the game because it's way way faster, way more
- 20:33Speaker 10: physical than high school and really just like kind of
- 20:36Speaker 10: understanding like the ins and outs of you know, functioning
- 20:39Speaker 10: through college as a whole too, like going to class
- 20:41Speaker 10: and that type of stuff, and you know, having to
- 20:43Speaker 10: study and manage your time. But I feel like if
- 20:45Speaker 10: I came in the summer it would have been kind
- 20:47Speaker 10: of hard just jumping into it and being in season and
- 20:49Speaker 10: having to.
- 20:49Speaker 6: Try to figure all that stuff out. Do you feel
- 20:51Speaker 6: like bigger and stronger you got? Were you lifting more?
- 20:53Speaker 6: Did you get some way? Yeah?
- 20:56Speaker 10: Yeah, Like right now I think I gained Like I
- 20:57Speaker 10: came in at like two forty five and right now
- 20:59Speaker 10: I'm like too sixty and then I don't really know
- 21:02Speaker 10: the exact numbers, but I've definitely got a lot stronger
- 21:04Speaker 10: in the wain.
- 21:05Speaker 20: So so you feel like in that home run derby
- 21:07Speaker 20: or hitting.
- 21:07Speaker 13: The ball a little bit further?
- 21:08Speaker 6: Uh? Probably, Yeah, I don't know.
- 21:10Speaker 10: I I think I might have only swung the softball
- 21:12Speaker 10: back one time in my life before that. But yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 10: I definitely felt like the balls coming off a little faster.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Before being the baseball guy in that.
- 21:20Speaker 10: Uh No, there wasn't. It was everybody was talking a
- 21:22Speaker 10: little crap about you know, I'm here for it. I'm
- 21:24Speaker 10: I'm I'm open to it. So I'm a confetitor. So
- 21:26Speaker 10: it was it was fun.
- 21:27Speaker 6: What's impressed to you about Jamarin's twice far?
- 21:29Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean he's, uh, he's a special dude, man,
- 21:33Speaker 10: Like he's that's that's my guy. He's a great running
- 21:35Speaker 10: back and like I've never met anybody like him that
- 21:39Speaker 10: just like doesn't go down like he spins off tackles,
- 21:43Speaker 10: finds the right holes to hit all that like, and
- 21:45Speaker 10: he's he's a really smart guy. Like he's a and
- 21:47Speaker 10: not even just as football player alone. He's just a
- 21:49Speaker 10: great person, a great human being. So you know, he's
- 21:51Speaker 10: he's gonna be, like, in my opinion, he's gonna be
- 21:54Speaker 10: one of the best guys, like you know, in the
- 21:55Speaker 10: country here soon.
- 21:56Speaker 6: So that's why I actually believe.
- 21:58Speaker 14: I know you are kind of.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Different parts of the few.
- 22:00Speaker 5: But during fault camp or anything, did you ever have
- 22:01Speaker 5: Mario slip out of a tackle that you try to
- 22:03Speaker 5: make it's a pretty supreme guys.
- 22:05Speaker 10: Uh, not during fault camp, not really. I mean if
- 22:09Speaker 10: I was getting to him on the like, you know,
- 22:11Speaker 10: on a pass, then that means we would have had
- 22:13Speaker 10: some problems as a defense. So but yeah, I think
- 22:16Speaker 10: you know there actually there might have been one or
- 22:18Speaker 10: two times that he's kind of like slipped away or
- 22:20Speaker 10: you know, made a good move, Like I did have
- 22:22Speaker 10: to cover him a few times and that didn't really.
- 22:23Speaker 6: End up that well, so you know that's it.
- 22:25Speaker 10: But yeah, he's a he's a hard dude to contag.
- 22:28Speaker 6: Leim for sure, Marco.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Obviously like the team like Missouri's coming.
- 22:32Speaker 6: In with the backup quarterback.
- 22:34Speaker 12: Do you guys a chance with the d Linus stepatarily
- 22:36Speaker 12: in that game?
- 22:36Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean I think personally like that, we don't
- 22:39Speaker 10: look at, you know, the personnel any different. It's just like,
- 22:41Speaker 10: you know, it's us against us at the end of
- 22:43Speaker 10: the day, we have to execute what we need to do.
- 22:45Speaker 10: We need to you know, we need to stop the
- 22:47Speaker 10: run and then we need to get after in the
- 22:48Speaker 10: passwords game. I think, you know, obviously he's a he's
- 22:50Speaker 10: a good player. Like the quarterback, he's a good player.
- 22:52Speaker 10: We watched the film. He's he's a town of kid.
- 22:54Speaker 10: I think, really, Joce, we need to need to just
- 22:56Speaker 10: you know, just don't look too much into the personnel
- 22:59Speaker 10: and really look at executing our jobs and playoffs.
- 23:02Speaker 17: Hey, Marco, Tory Moffatt has gone a bunch of process,
- 23:04Speaker 17: especially after the LSU win.
- 23:06Speaker 10: Do you have any unique stories of you coming into say,
- 23:09Speaker 10: you know with them. I don't have anything too crazy
- 23:12Speaker 10: that you guys probably haven't heard more, just you know,
- 23:14Speaker 10: like he's an intensive guy.
- 23:15Speaker 6: Like he's I love coach MafA. He's great.
- 23:19Speaker 10: He's always like setting the tone, setting the energy, and
- 23:21Speaker 10: I think, you know, probably the funniest thing was probably
- 23:24Speaker 10: when I was here for the ball game actually, and
- 23:27Speaker 10: he was like like he was talking crap to some
- 23:29Speaker 10: of the other team like during the during the game,
- 23:32Speaker 10: and I was like, man, this is this is definitely
- 23:33Speaker 10: different than high school. And that was kind of my
- 23:35Speaker 10: first little introduction to like coach Moffatt for real.
- 23:38Speaker 6: All right, that's right. I appreciate you guys.
- 23:40Speaker 1: That's Marco Jones and uh, I'm looking forward to seeing
- 23:45Speaker 1: him in a baseball uniform to sixty.
- 23:50Speaker 2: So yeah, what what do he say?
- 23:52Speaker 1: I came at two thirty five, I'm too sixty now,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I think that's what he said.
- 23:56Speaker 2: That's awesome. And did I get this right?
- 24:02Speaker 1: He said, I've never swung like a softball bat at
- 24:05Speaker 1: a softball before that. You know, they had that little
- 24:07Speaker 1: exhibition you know, I guess with the against a women's
- 24:10Speaker 1: team or something like that. He goes, I've never done
- 24:13Speaker 1: that before you played? How did you not play softball?
- 24:19Speaker 1: But I guess he was too busy doing you know,
- 24:23Speaker 1: other sports. Yeah, he would have been a good intermural
- 24:27Speaker 1: guy to have on your team.
- 24:31Speaker 2: That's awesome, that's pretty cool.
- 24:33Speaker 6: All right.

- 32:47Speaker 12: Great to have you back.
- 32:48Speaker 2: How are you doing.
- 32:49Speaker 16: I'm doing great. Thanks for having me.
- 32:51Speaker 12: Of course, anytime at this point in the season, your
- 32:53Speaker 12: program isn't in the same position that they were this
- 32:56Speaker 12: time last season, which has admittedly been a categorically good performance.
- 33:00Speaker 12: Talk to me about some of the challenges of the
- 33:01Speaker 12: season and the changing competition and perhaps changing roster that
- 33:04Speaker 12: might have went to this current discrepancy as standing.
- 33:08Speaker 16: You know, I think, uh, you know, every year is different,
- 33:11Speaker 16: Every season is a new season, every team is a
- 33:13Speaker 16: new team. Uh. You know, we graduated a lot of
- 33:15Speaker 16: talent from the team last year, and you know, you
- 33:19Speaker 16: go into spring ball and you got to kind of
- 33:20Speaker 16: figure out how the new pieces fit together, and who's
- 33:22Speaker 16: going to fit well and who's going to do what,
- 33:24Speaker 16: and uh, you know, you then then you get into
- 33:27Speaker 16: the season and start to figure out what your team
- 33:29Speaker 16: is good at and what you kind of want to
- 33:32Speaker 16: what you kind of want to, you know, build your
- 33:35Speaker 16: team around. And so I think, you know, just from
- 33:37Speaker 16: year to year, you know, so many different pieces and
- 33:39Speaker 16: so many different moving parts, and no year, no year
- 33:43Speaker 16: is the same mhm.
- 33:44Speaker 12: And as the season carries on into its last stage,
- 33:47Speaker 12: what are some of the lessons that you learned in
- 33:48Speaker 12: the early season that you're taking with your team for
- 33:51Speaker 12: this final push?
- 33:52Speaker 16: H Yeah, you know, I think you know kind of
- 33:55Speaker 16: want to hit on already. Every team is different, and uh,
- 33:58Speaker 16: you know, as you get later in the season, teams
- 34:01Speaker 16: start to delvelop, start to develop an identity, and uh,
- 34:04Speaker 16: you figure out what you're good at, and those are
- 34:06Speaker 16: kind of the things you want to hang your hat on.
- 34:07Speaker 16: And I think for this team, I think are I
- 34:10Speaker 16: think our athleticism on the defensive side of the ball
- 34:13Speaker 16: UH has has proven to be something that's a kind
- 34:15Speaker 16: of a weapon for us.
- 34:17Speaker 1: UH.
- 34:17Speaker 16: And I think offensively, our ability to run the ball
- 34:21Speaker 16: and UH and make big plays in the passing game.
- 34:23Speaker 16: I think are are kind of the things that we're
- 34:25Speaker 16: hanging our hat on as we go into the last
- 34:27Speaker 16: regular season game tomorrow and into the playoffs next week.
- 34:30Speaker 12: And what has been your toughest matchup this season and
- 34:34Speaker 12: what kind of things have you taken away from it?
- 34:36Speaker 1: Uh?
- 34:37Speaker 16: Yeah, you know, I think several you know, we went
- 34:40Speaker 16: we went on the road and played forty uh week
- 34:42Speaker 16: two and it's a really really good six ad program.
- 34:47Speaker 16: And then right you know, we turned around right after
- 34:49Speaker 16: that and we had Weiss at home and college station
- 34:51Speaker 16: on the road in Austin Anderson.
- 34:53Speaker 6: Uh.
- 34:53Speaker 16: And that was a really tough four week stretch. And
- 34:58Speaker 16: you know, I think during that month long stretch, we
- 35:00Speaker 16: figured out that that our kids are going to fight.
- 35:03Speaker 16: You know, we're gonna make mistakes, but we're going to
- 35:05Speaker 16: continue to fight. We're going to continue to work and
- 35:07Speaker 16: improve and get better and fix things that we need
- 35:09Speaker 16: to fix. And I think really, you know, through that,
- 35:13Speaker 16: through that month of September, really we we kind of
- 35:16Speaker 16: you know, we we knew that that you know, we
- 35:18Speaker 16: had to work on some things and fix some things,
- 35:20Speaker 16: but we knew our kids were going to fight and
- 35:21Speaker 16: work to get better.
- 35:22Speaker 5: M hm.
- 35:23Speaker 12: And talk to me a little bit about last week's game.
- 35:25Speaker 12: What do you think went well and where do you
- 35:27Speaker 12: think your team has challenged the most?
- 35:30Speaker 25: Uh?
- 35:30Speaker 16: You know, I thought overall it was the best four
- 35:33Speaker 16: quarters the football maybe we've played all year. You know,
- 35:36Speaker 16: the score at halftime was only seven to nothing. But yeah,
- 35:38Speaker 16: but I thought offensively, we played well in the first
- 35:41Speaker 16: half and we just you know, I told our kids
- 35:42Speaker 16: at halftime, we're playing well, we're just not making the
- 35:45Speaker 16: plays that we need to make. And uh, and we
- 35:47Speaker 16: came out in the second half. Offense scored on the
- 35:49Speaker 16: first possession, and the defense got a turnover, and the
- 35:52Speaker 16: offense scored again, and kind of we were off and running.
- 35:55Speaker 16: And so, you know, I think for us, just you know,
- 35:58Speaker 16: continue to have our hat on the defense, continue to
- 36:01Speaker 16: hang our hat on the running game. Uh. And then
- 36:03Speaker 16: you know, we got some big play receivers. So you know,
- 36:06Speaker 16: I think we're playing well right now. I think the
- 36:08Speaker 16: kids are in a good spot mentally. We're still working
- 36:11Speaker 16: to get better. We're still having great practices and I'm
- 36:14Speaker 16: looking forward to see what kind of playoff run we
- 36:16Speaker 16: could make.
- 36:17Speaker 12: And what are you expecting from this matchup this Friday?
- 36:20Speaker 12: How do you think your teams will mix on the field. Uh?
- 36:24Speaker 16: Yeah, you know, I think, you know, really, all I'm
- 36:27Speaker 16: worried about is us. You know, I told our kids
- 36:30Speaker 16: all week long and really for the last two weeks.
- 36:32Speaker 16: You know, it's important for us to be playing our
- 36:34Speaker 16: best football of the year as we move into the playoffs.
- 36:37Speaker 16: And uh and I thought we played really well last week.
- 36:39Speaker 16: I thought we had too many penalties last week, and
- 36:43Speaker 16: I thought we didn't do a good job in the
- 36:44Speaker 16: first half of making plays. And so tomorrow night, I
- 36:47Speaker 16: want to see us make plays when when the opportunity
- 36:49Speaker 16: presents itself. I want to see us eliminate turnovers, and
- 36:52Speaker 16: I want to see us eliminate penalties.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:55Speaker 12: And is it hard like as you close out the
- 36:57Speaker 12: regular season to keep your program focused and locked in
- 37:01Speaker 12: on doing their best and instead of like focusing on
- 37:04Speaker 12: the playoffs.
- 37:06Speaker 6: Uh?
- 37:06Speaker 16: Yeah, you know, And I think it's always our it's
- 37:08Speaker 16: human nature. You know, we're we're locked into the second
- 37:11Speaker 16: seed regardless of what happens tomorrow night. And I think
- 37:13Speaker 16: it's human nature to look ahead. Uh. And so you know,
- 37:18Speaker 16: I think it's for for us, it's continue to focus
- 37:21Speaker 16: on us, continue to focus on what we need to
- 37:23Speaker 16: do to get better, and continue to and focus on
- 37:25Speaker 16: us tomorrow night playing the best game that that we've
- 37:28Speaker 16: played all season. Uh And and you know, really looking
- 37:32Speaker 16: to to kind of hit our stride as we're going
- 37:34Speaker 16: into the first round of the playoffs.
- 37:35Speaker 12: Yeah, and what are your expectations for the playoffs?
- 37:39Speaker 6: Also?
- 37:39Speaker 12: How are they different and more challenging than a regular
- 37:41Speaker 12: season from a mindset perspective. I mean, obviously you have
- 37:44Speaker 12: less time to prepare for games and.
- 37:45Speaker 16: Stuff, but yeah, you know, I think it's I think
- 37:49Speaker 16: it's easier in the playoffs to keep the kids, you know,
- 37:52Speaker 16: kind of focused and locked in. You know, obviously every
- 37:55Speaker 16: week is a is a win and move on or losing.
- 37:57Speaker 16: Your season has done scenarios, So I think it's easy
- 38:00Speaker 16: to keep the kids locked in. One hundred percent believe
- 38:04Speaker 16: that that Region three is the toughest region from top
- 38:07Speaker 16: to bottom in the state of Texas. I think there's
- 38:09Speaker 16: you know, five teams, maybe six teams maybe that could
- 38:12Speaker 16: that could end up being the Region three champ. I
- 38:16Speaker 16: think we're one of those teams. But I think there's
- 38:18Speaker 16: you know, five other head coaches in our region that
- 38:20Speaker 16: are telling their kids the exact same thing. You know. Ultimately,
- 38:25Speaker 16: you know, I think when you get to the playoffs,
- 38:27Speaker 16: it's everybody's probably playing pretty good at that point, but
- 38:31Speaker 16: it's it's on any given, you know, Friday night, who
- 38:33Speaker 16: can who can who can minimize penalties, and who can
- 38:37Speaker 16: who can eliminate turnovers? And you know, I think it
- 38:41Speaker 16: just comes down to all those things that that every
- 38:43Speaker 16: close game comes down to penalties and turnovers and execution.
- 38:48Speaker 16: I mean, I think I think we could. I think
- 38:50Speaker 16: we could be one and done in the playoffs, and
- 38:51Speaker 16: I think we could play for five or six or
- 38:53Speaker 16: five or six weeks.
- 38:54Speaker 12: Yeah, and you talked a little bit about Region three.
- 38:57Speaker 12: Talk to me about the competition. Who do you think
- 38:59Speaker 12: is most danger yourse out there? And do you think
- 39:01Speaker 12: it's more intense this year at the competition?
- 39:05Speaker 16: I think in our region it is. You know, our region,
- 39:08Speaker 16: I think it's loaded. I think, you know, probably going
- 39:12Speaker 16: into the going into the playoffs, I think Port Arthin
- 39:14Speaker 16: Memorial is probably the favorite to win our region. But
- 39:18Speaker 16: you know, you got Angleton's in the playoffs. Who won
- 39:21Speaker 16: the region last year, Laporte. You know, I think, really,
- 39:25Speaker 16: I think anybody out of our district, Austin, Anderson, Flouberville,
- 39:28Speaker 16: Wiss College Station are all playing really well right now.
- 39:32Speaker 16: And then you know you got Lufkin Barber's Hill. I mean,
- 39:35Speaker 16: it's a it's a loaded region. And uh and you
- 39:38Speaker 16: know you got to play well every week and that's
- 39:40Speaker 16: hard to do.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:41Speaker 12: Well, thank you so much for your time, coach.
- 39:44Speaker 16: Absolutely, I appreciate you.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Yes, sir, good look out there.

- 45:14Speaker 12: So.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Kyla Hank Williams Junior story. This has been.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Probably thirty years ago. Decided I'd go see Hank Junior.
- 45:27Speaker 1: It was at the old Toyota Center in Houston, and
- 45:34Speaker 1: I didn't understand or know or know enough about, let's say,
- 45:40Speaker 1: the kind of crowd in those days that Hank Junior attracted.
- 45:47Speaker 1: You know, you've seen all the movies with the chicken
- 45:50Speaker 1: wire up in front of that wooden stages because people
- 45:53Speaker 1: are throwing.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Beer bottles at the at the stands and all that,
- 45:58Speaker 2: and and and again. This was like thirty years ago.
- 46:00Speaker 1: But I've never been in a place with more tattoos
- 46:03Speaker 1: in my entire life. More, more leather jackets, more jean jackets,
- 46:09Speaker 1: more motorcycle jackets.
- 46:13Speaker 2: I just didn't comprehend. But man, it was great.
- 46:24Speaker 1: I mean I probably stood out more anybody else in
- 46:28Speaker 1: the crowd. My wife and I are there, and I'm
- 46:31Speaker 1: going this, this isn't maybe our typical crowd that we're
- 46:36Speaker 1: part of.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Now. Having said that.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Fifty years ago, forty years ago, that was Willy's crowd
- 46:48Speaker 1: as well, it could it could be rough. Willie played
- 46:53Speaker 1: places with chicken wire across the stage, I promise you,
- 46:58Speaker 1: and Paul kept a.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Pistol in his boot.
- 47:06Speaker 1: And from the stories that Willie has written and told
- 47:14Speaker 1: had to pull it out from time to time. You
- 47:19Speaker 1: didn't want to mess with him.
- 47:22Speaker 2: But yeah, that was my Hank Junior experience that I've
- 47:26Speaker 2: always liked.
- 47:27Speaker 6: Hay Junior.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:30Speaker 1: New report from Matt Brown of Extra Points, a media
- 47:35Speaker 1: company covering the business and policy of college sports, revealing
- 47:41Speaker 1: which stadiums have sold the most booze thus far this season.
- 47:47Speaker 1: To determine sales figures, Extra Points filed open records requests
- 47:53Speaker 1: to forty five public universities requesting their total alcohol unit
- 47:59Speaker 1: sale and total revenue from home games. Some schools, including
- 48:05Speaker 1: u C l A and South Florida were unable to
- 48:07Speaker 1: respond because they don't control their concessions. Others, like Oho State,
- 48:14Speaker 1: only determined figures at the end.
- 48:16Speaker 16: Of the season.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Some schools like Memphis and Purdue didn't respond. So here
- 48:27Speaker 1: is the list. And this isn't a comprehensive list. This
- 48:33Speaker 1: will this will give you an idea yea update on
- 48:37Speaker 1: that list. We have an updated lists supposed to be
- 48:41Speaker 1: number two.
- 48:42Speaker 16: Number one.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Who's number one? Nebraska? Okay, so that's reverse everybody Wisconsin
- 48:47Speaker 2: is correct? Okay, Okay, yesterday said he used Wisconsin's full
- 48:51Speaker 2: season from last year.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Oh Okay, Okay, so okay, so the bottom of the barrel.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Uh is Ball State Universe thirteen hundred units sold, eleven
- 49:03Speaker 1: thousand dollars in concessions, Miami, University of Ohio twenty four thousand,
- 49:12Speaker 1: UMass twenty eight thousand, Western Michigan thirty thousand, Central Michigan
- 49:21Speaker 1: forty seven thousand, Bowling Green fifty three thousand, University of
- 49:26Speaker 1: Toledo one hundred and twenty one thousand, The Main Green
- 49:29Speaker 1: of North Texas one hundred and twenty three thousand, Ohio
- 49:35Speaker 1: University one hundred and seventy seven thousand, Michigan State two
- 49:41Speaker 1: hundred thirty four thousand in alcohol sales. This thus far
- 49:47Speaker 1: with home games left to play, Illinois seven hundred forty
- 49:51Speaker 1: three thousand, Kentucky eight hundred ninety eight thousand, West Virginia
- 50:00Speaker 1: nine hundred and seventy nine thousand, Indiana.
- 50:04Speaker 2: You know, Indiana's having a good year. Nine hundred and
- 50:08Speaker 2: eighty three thousand, Michigan The Big.
- 50:11Speaker 1: House nine hundred and eighty five thousand, Minnesota a little
- 50:18Speaker 1: more than a million. Here we go, LSU one point
- 50:25Speaker 1: four million. Okay, uh Tennessee one point six million, one
- 50:35Speaker 1: hundred and seven thousand units sold, which that just doesn't
- 50:39Speaker 1: sound right. Tennessee holds over one hundred thousand people. Number
- 50:48Speaker 1: one is Nebraska? Is that right, Caleb?
- 50:50Speaker 6: Now?
- 50:50Speaker 2: Was that two million?
- 50:51Speaker 6: Right?
- 50:52Speaker 2: That two million figure?
- 50:54Speaker 1: Nebraska one hundred and sixty eight thousand units sold. Again,
- 50:57Speaker 1: they they hold about ninety something thousand.
- 51:01Speaker 2: They're at Nebraska. You people aren't drinking enough. Wisconsin's nine
- 51:07Speaker 2: hundred and seventy.
- 51:08Speaker 1: One with MV okay, nine hundred and seventy one thousand
- 51:11Speaker 1: for Wisconsin.
- 51:12Speaker 2: So there's a lot of big ten universities in here.
- 51:15Speaker 1: There's well, they sure they tail gate, especially early in
- 51:20Speaker 1: the season.
- 51:21Speaker 2: I argue they tailgate all year. That doesn't matter if
- 51:24Speaker 2: to them that's twenty below. They're used to that.
- 51:27Speaker 1: But I don't know where you know, there's there's no
- 51:31Speaker 1: and maybe they didn't. They said they only sent these
- 51:34Speaker 1: out to forty five public universities.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Okay, so this is this.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Isn't by any means full disclosure. I mean A and
- 51:43Speaker 1: M is not represented, Texas is not represented, Baylor is
- 51:48Speaker 1: not represented. And you know those people at Baylor drink
- 51:51Speaker 1: like fish, but they only do it privately. That was
- 51:56Speaker 1: the great Abe Lemons quote when Abe went to Waco
- 52:00Speaker 1: undefeated one year that were ranked fifth in the nation
- 52:03Speaker 1: in basketball and Baylor upset them. Abes quote afterward was,
- 52:08Speaker 1: it's a shame Baptist don't drink in public. This would
- 52:12Speaker 1: be a great night to celebrate. Nothing against my Baptist brethren,
- 52:19Speaker 1: by the way.
- 52:22Speaker 2: So yeah, there's there's you know, there's no Lubbock. We
- 52:28Speaker 2: know that they can.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Down alcohol and lobbook and I would argue something else.
- 52:37Speaker 1: There are sales in stadiums, so these are legal sales.
- 52:41Speaker 6: Right.
- 52:43Speaker 1: This doesn't have anything to do You mentioned tailgating, right,
- 52:46Speaker 1: with tailgating before you get in this stadium.
- 52:49Speaker 2: This doesn't have.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Anything to do with what you people carry into this stadium,
- 52:54Speaker 1: and don't tell me you don't. Yeah, they are whiskey
- 52:58Speaker 1: jug right, he was just airing that around. But that
- 53:01Speaker 1: was outside the stadium, right, that wasn't in the stadium. Yeah,
- 53:04Speaker 1: Aggie Park, he was carrying the gallon jug of whiskey.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Don't do that. By the way, let me just use
- 53:10Speaker 2: my platform to.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Encourage you not to be carrying around full gallon jugs
- 53:17Speaker 1: of whiskey and that that's just not by the way
- 53:22Speaker 1: for football games either.
- 53:25Speaker 2: I mean, you just probably shouldn't do that. I'm just saying.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Dusty tells me that A and M sold a million
- 53:38Speaker 1: and a half in September in the two games at
- 53:43Speaker 1: Kyle Field. I mean that would put them you know,
- 53:46Speaker 1: that would put them up there, right. And I suspect
- 53:52Speaker 1: some of the other you know, there's not a lot
- 53:54Speaker 1: of the Southwest schools here. There's not to I mean,
- 53:57Speaker 1: we have LSU. Let's see Kentucky Tennessee where those are
- 54:02Speaker 1: the only SEC schools. I mean, come on, there's there's
- 54:07Speaker 1: no Florida there. There's no Alabama Auburn there.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Uh there. There's there's a lot of booze being sold
- 54:16Speaker 2: at these games.
- 54:17Speaker 1: And like I said, I I think for every dollar
- 54:22Speaker 1: that they're tracking that's legal to sell within the stadium,
- 54:28Speaker 1: what would the figure be outside? There's no Ole Miss here,
- 54:32Speaker 1: but frankly Ole Miss does a lot of drinking beforehand
- 54:35Speaker 1: right at the grove.
- 54:37Speaker 5: He said that he's going to try to file it again.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we need we need more, we need more data
- 54:42Speaker 1: here at the end of the season.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we need more, we need more teams.
- 54:48Speaker 1: But for every dollar sold in stadium, what would it
- 54:51Speaker 1: be ten dollars outside? Fifteen dollars outside the stadium with tailgating,
- 54:59Speaker 1: and I I gotta tell you, I've never seen anything
- 55:02Speaker 1: quite like the grove in my life. Ever, it's substantial,
- 55:09Speaker 1: let's say it's professional. They have it down to an art.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Now.
- 55:17Speaker 1: I walked through Aggie Park on the way to games
- 55:19Speaker 1: every home game, right, so I'm impressed with you people.
- 55:23Speaker 1: I gotta say, I'm not saying I'm impressed, But there's
- 55:29Speaker 1: a lot.
- 55:32Speaker 2: There's a lot that's not tracked here. Just let's put
- 55:35Speaker 2: it that way.
