- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, welcome back to Inside the Data on Inside the Birds.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'm Jeff Mosher, and of course we're talking data, so
- 0:15Speaker 1: I got Sam Finkel here and we are in knee
- 0:18Speaker 1: deep now in our series on athletic testing at the
- 0:20Speaker 1: Combine and what it means for these NFL prospects and
- 0:24Speaker 1: what it means for the Eagles and how they'll view them.
- 0:26Speaker 1: We have done offensive tackles, we've done interior offensive alignment,
- 0:30Speaker 1: and now we're going to move to tight ends, a
- 0:33Speaker 1: position Sam that even with Dallas Goddard back, is such
- 0:37Speaker 1: a need, a draft need position because it is a
- 0:41Speaker 1: future need for the Eagles because both got all of Goddard,
- 0:45Speaker 1: Grant Calcata, Johnny Munt and Cam Lattu are on one
- 0:51Speaker 1: year deals. Okay, so basically in twoenty and twenty seven,
- 0:56Speaker 1: if the Eagles had to line up and play a
- 0:57Speaker 1: football game on the first day of the new league
- 0:59Speaker 1: year and don't sign anybody, they would have no Titans. Yep,
- 1:04Speaker 1: definitely indeed, But yeah, that just shows you how badly
- 1:08Speaker 1: they have to replenish it.
- 1:09Speaker 2: You know, didn't you think last year?
- 1:11Speaker 1: I would have bet like half my life last year
- 1:13Speaker 1: that they were gonna come away with one of those four.
- 1:16Speaker 1: It was a top heavy draft. If you remember, there
- 1:18Speaker 1: was the names are escaping now. There was like Mason
- 1:21Speaker 1: Taylor right from LSU.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It was liked a lot.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yep, Harold Fannin from Bowling Green. I'm trying to think.
- 1:29Speaker 1: There were a couple of other Oh, the kid from Oregon,
- 1:32Speaker 1: what was his name that went to the Rams Ferguson, Yeah, yep.
- 1:36Speaker 1: And then the kid from Miami, right, I want to
- 1:39Speaker 1: say Arroyo.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Maybe, yeah, Elijah Royo, Elijah Royo.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah, So there were there were a decent number of prospects.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I thought, for the life of me, knowing god it
- 1:47Speaker 1: was on a one year deal, that they were gonna
- 1:48Speaker 1: hit that position.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I would have thought so too. When you look
- 1:53Speaker 3: at this tight end draft class, it's also interesting. There's
- 1:58Speaker 3: some decent prospects, but it's very top heavy.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Extremely now.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I've been told though that it's deeper than last year's class.
- 2:05Speaker 1: So even if you're in day two or day three,
- 2:07Speaker 1: where it was a real kind of crapshoot, I guess,
- 2:10Speaker 1: for lack of a better word, there are some decent
- 2:13Speaker 1: prospects on Day two or Day three, depending on what
- 2:16Speaker 1: you might be.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Looking for and let's talk about that.
- 2:18Speaker 1: So, like we said with guard, the Eagles maybe reprioritizing
- 2:23Speaker 1: what they look for when they're scouting guards because they
- 2:27Speaker 1: used to have road graders, but now they're running an
- 2:28Speaker 1: offense where you have to have athletic guys who can
- 2:30Speaker 1: move horizontally. Hallie Roseman had a press conference with reporters
- 2:35Speaker 1: before he went out to the combine, and he did
- 2:37Speaker 1: talk about his affinity for pass catching tight ends, which
- 2:41Speaker 1: is pretty obvious, right, and how that also might have
- 2:45Speaker 1: to change a little bit. And the blocking factor, which
- 2:48Speaker 1: was an issue for the team last year, will have
- 2:52Speaker 1: to be under more consideration now under.
- 2:54Speaker 2: The new offense.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean totally makes sense. I think if you're
- 2:59Speaker 3: looking for blocking, it does open up this tight end
- 3:02Speaker 3: group quite a lot more. But from a pure athleticism perspective,
- 3:07Speaker 3: there's only a couple guys that really stand out.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yes, right, the great the one thing, the thing you'd
- 3:13Speaker 1: love to do and sometimes you can do as a
- 3:15Speaker 1: wide receiver is find a guy who can do both,
- 3:21Speaker 1: but maybe was not in a great offense in college.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Is one guy and have mine we'll talk about right, Sure,
- 3:27Speaker 1: wasn't in a great offense and then you kind of
- 3:29Speaker 1: unlock him at the NFL level.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I don't I don't want to go to the extremes.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But Kittle is kind of like an example that's not
- 3:35Speaker 1: like the first round pick. And Iowa's offense is always
- 3:38Speaker 1: you know, like sleep walks through the Big Ten every
- 3:40Speaker 1: year while its defense does the heavy lifting.
- 3:42Speaker 2: But him or even a Laporta.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Laporta was kind of a second round pick, but nobody,
- 3:46Speaker 1: nobody saw Kittle emerging into this you know, elite best
- 3:50Speaker 1: tight end uh in the in the NFL group.
- 3:53Speaker 2: So yeah, that's what you're kind of hoping to strike gold.
- 3:56Speaker 3: With absolutely one hundred percent agree with you, and you're right.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I think the Kittle situation, though, is somewhat rare. It's
- 4:05Speaker 3: hard to find a guy like that. And even so,
- 4:09Speaker 3: Kittle was the number one tight end in the draft
- 4:12Speaker 3: class in terms of athleticism score. He was a ninety three.
- 4:17Speaker 3: He ran a four or five to two with a
- 4:19Speaker 3: one point five to one split, thirty five introvert and
- 4:24Speaker 3: eleven foot broad jump with eighteen bench press. He was
- 4:28Speaker 3: the number one tight end in terms of athleticism. So
- 4:31Speaker 3: I do think there's some merit in these testing to
- 4:33Speaker 3: determine whether the tight ends will be successful in the
- 4:37Speaker 3: next level. And I think that even though it didn't
- 4:40Speaker 3: show up, it did show up on film to some extent.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It didn't show up entirely because he wasn't unlocked. There
- 4:46Speaker 3: were precursors to determine.
- 4:48Speaker 1: That, correct and if memory starts me correctly, kittle was
- 4:55Speaker 1: I thought it was a day tour Day three.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Do you remember, Ah, he's a fifth rounder, right, yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 2: fifth round guy. Well that's good and a good example
- 5:02Speaker 2: for the Eagles is Brent Selik. You know they got
- 5:03Speaker 2: him in the fifth round.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Then you know again that Cincinnati offense was not anything
- 5:07Speaker 1: to you know, go right home about. And it was
- 5:10Speaker 1: a mid major and he came to the Eagles and
- 5:13Speaker 1: wound up showing that he could both catch the ball
- 5:16Speaker 1: and block really well.
- 5:17Speaker 2: At a high level.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Absolutely all right, So let's take a look at your
- 5:22Speaker 1: testing numbers and see if we can find another future
- 5:24Speaker 1: Brent Selik in this group. As I'll let you explain
- 5:29Speaker 1: again the color coding for anybody who might be new.
- 5:31Speaker 2: To the show here.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, still Olympic themes. So we have the gold
- 5:37Speaker 3: for the number one in the respective category, the silver
- 5:40Speaker 3: for number two and the bronze for number three.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yes, I feel like for future maybe the gold should
- 5:47Speaker 1: be a little darker.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Okay, I don't know why. Sometimes I have and this
- 5:51Speaker 2: is just might be me.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Sometimes I'm like, is that the gold or the bronze,
- 5:54Speaker 1: But that's an idiot. Maybe it's the bronze is more
- 5:57Speaker 1: peached than I don't know.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I can't fig. It's above my pay grade, Sam, Well, we.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Can bring it up to your pay grade.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I think love to bring it from zero to zero.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Great, from zero to zero points z zero one.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Sounds good, sounds good.
- 6:13Speaker 1: It's like the scheme in office space where you're just
- 6:16Speaker 1: getting a little penny. Everyone that went backfire though, all right,
- 6:21Speaker 1: there's there's one guy who is getting all the attention
- 6:25Speaker 1: at this position. What what does the testing say about
- 6:28Speaker 1: mister Kenyon Sadik from Oregon.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Well, I can tell you what my thoughts are with
- 6:35Speaker 3: mister Sidiq. First off, heartbreaking because all I can think
- 6:39Speaker 3: of is the Penn State Oregon game where he did
- 6:44Speaker 3: pretty well in that game if I fire a call correctly.
- 6:47Speaker 3: But besides that, you know Sidiq is number one or
- 6:52Speaker 3: number two in every statistical category. Uh. His athleticism score
- 6:56Speaker 3: is higher than Kittle's score by the way that we
- 6:59Speaker 3: were talking about, and I honestly it might be one
- 7:02Speaker 3: of the highest scores that we've ever seen for a
- 7:05Speaker 3: tight end. I want to pull up Kyle Pitts just
- 7:09Speaker 3: to verify that. Yeah, it's higher than Kyle Pitts. It's
- 7:13Speaker 3: the highest tight end score I think I've ever seen.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, he's gonna go top twelve. I can't.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I'd be shocked if he falls out because teams value
- 7:22Speaker 1: tight ends now.
- 7:24Speaker 3: I mean, to be able to move the way he
- 7:27Speaker 3: does at his size is insane. A four to three
- 7:31Speaker 3: nine at tight end is ridiculous.
- 7:35Speaker 1: There's not even anyone like your gold is him, Your
- 7:39Speaker 1: silver is R. J. Maryland at four or five one,
- 7:43Speaker 1: So there's not that's not really that close when you
- 7:45Speaker 1: talk about forty times.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's not close at all. I mean, it
- 7:50Speaker 3: looks those numbers look close. But a four to three
- 7:52Speaker 3: nine speed at tight end, yeah, is insane. It's almost unprecedented.
- 7:58Speaker 2: What are his can you go through? His size? Miserable?
- 8:03Speaker 3: I had a feeling you were gonna say that, so
- 8:05Speaker 3: I was pulling enough as we speak, he's six three
- 8:08Speaker 3: two forty one. Uh, you shouldn't be able to move
- 8:11Speaker 3: like that at that size. His arms are thirty one
- 8:15Speaker 3: and a half and his hands are ten.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Wow, so he's got everything you want.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he is kind of a unicorn prospect.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So he was a gold, silver, or bronze finisher here
- 8:28Speaker 2: in every not even bronze. He was no gold or silver.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You're right, in every single category that he'd wound up
- 8:35Speaker 1: testing in. It's kind of funny that he didn't do
- 8:38Speaker 1: the three cone of the shuttle. I mean, if you're
- 8:39Speaker 1: gonna blow everything else up, you might as well give
- 8:41Speaker 1: it your you know, you're not gonna hurt yourself. You
- 8:43Speaker 1: don't have a great shuttle or something. Yeah, it's for
- 8:47Speaker 1: an overall score of ninety five.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Even the bench press. I'm just I'm impressed by that.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You know, that's sometimes the position where the uber athletic
- 8:54Speaker 1: guys don't excel because they're more athletic than they are strong.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But he's got the perfect combination.
- 9:00Speaker 3: I've seen some mock drafts where he is available at
- 9:03Speaker 3: the Eagles pick and the Eagles and he's not mocked
- 9:07Speaker 3: to the Eagles, And if that were the case, it
- 9:10Speaker 3: would be almost malpractice.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Absolutely I mean where the Eagles are picking one like
- 9:15Speaker 1: twenty fourth.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I should know this, but I think they're twenty third,
- 9:18Speaker 3: twenty third.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Most teams will tell you that they do not ever
- 9:23Speaker 1: have more than fifteen to twenty guys with first round grades. Okay,
- 9:27Speaker 1: so by the time you get down into the twenties
- 9:30Speaker 1: and you know up to thirty, you're basically taking guys
- 9:34Speaker 1: that you most likely have a second round grade on anyone,
- 9:37Speaker 1: or you're capitalizing like the Eagles did last year, on
- 9:40Speaker 1: somebody falling out of the top fifteen for.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Like medical questions like Johad Campbell.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Right, So if you have a guy like this who's
- 9:49Speaker 1: you know, I can't imagine him not being a first
- 9:52Speaker 1: round grade given the production versus the athletic testing, right,
- 9:58Speaker 1: and you pad that just don't.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Pass on that exactly. That's what There's just no way
- 10:03Speaker 3: if he is there, and he won't be. If he
- 10:06Speaker 3: is there, the Eagles will be taking him, I would agree.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I would agree.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Now if he is not there, the question is are
- 10:14Speaker 1: there any first round tight ends in your mind based
- 10:19Speaker 1: on what you have here on athletic testing and production
- 10:22Speaker 1: that would be worthy of that selection for the Eagles.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Or anybody in the lower end of the first round.
- 10:29Speaker 3: I would say that Stowers is the next guy.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I would think so too.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Is he a first round pick? I think so. I
- 10:37Speaker 3: think he could. There's certainly an argument that he's a
- 10:40Speaker 3: first round pick. If he's there in the second you
- 10:42Speaker 3: feel really good about it. But but I think he's
- 10:46Speaker 3: everything about him also screams good tight end, a great
- 10:50Speaker 3: tight end. I mean he also was silver or golden
- 10:56Speaker 3: every single category everyone, right, So I mean you feel
- 11:01Speaker 3: pretty good about him. I mean I definitely think he
- 11:04Speaker 3: also could be a guy that you unlock a little
- 11:06Speaker 3: bit too, right. I'm not saying he didn't do great
- 11:09Speaker 3: in college, because he did pretty well, but I think
- 11:12Speaker 3: his ceiling is much higher than what you saw in college.
- 11:16Speaker 2: And his size is what.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Let me get you that I may have that one
- 11:21Speaker 1: six four, two thirty nine okay thirty two five eues
- 11:26Speaker 1: arms and nine and three quarters hand. So he's not
- 11:28Speaker 1: as as big per se as Kenyon Sadik, and he
- 11:33Speaker 1: doesn't run as fast.
- 11:34Speaker 2: But so that just makes him less of a.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Unicorn superhuman tight end and just a really really really
- 11:41Speaker 1: good tight end.
- 11:42Speaker 3: You know, it's crazy if Sadiq wasn't here we would
- 11:45Speaker 3: be talking up as much. Yep, it wouldn't even be
- 11:49Speaker 3: like Sadiq is such a unicorn prospect that it makes
- 11:52Speaker 3: it look like Stowers is not as good. But he
- 11:55Speaker 3: is an incredible prospect.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean the guy used to play quarterback, all right,
- 12:01Speaker 1: so you know he's got a good athlete to move
- 12:02Speaker 1: to tight end.
- 12:03Speaker 2: He's only played tight end for three years by the way,
- 12:07Speaker 2: really good athlete.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Obviously, maybe you can put some pounds on him, get
- 12:10Speaker 1: him a little bit bigger, But I mean, this is
- 12:13Speaker 1: a guy that I think would be You're right, we'll
- 12:15Speaker 1: be talked about as the premiere tight end in the
- 12:17Speaker 1: draft if not for Kenyan Sadik, and that would probably
- 12:20Speaker 1: the premiere tight end in the draft who's not a unicorn.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Usually does go somewhere in the mid to late first
- 12:26Speaker 1: round or very early second, but I think the ones
- 12:30Speaker 1: that go in the second aren't is productive.
- 12:31Speaker 2: This guy is really productive ya college at Vanderbilt.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So obviously helped to play with the crazy quarterback there,
- 12:38Speaker 1: Diego Pavia.
- 12:40Speaker 3: But absolutely, and that's the thing, like, I still, even
- 12:45Speaker 3: with his production, I still think he's gonna be a
- 12:48Speaker 3: higher ceiling guy in the NFL.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Right, your third place athletic Maniasuer is a really interesting guy, Sam,
- 12:56Speaker 1: And this is a guy that I think, from what
- 12:59Speaker 1: I know about him, could be in that category.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Of like that Brent Cell you're looking for that I'm
- 13:06Speaker 2: I think this is a Day three guy.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I could I could wind up being wrong because the
- 13:09Speaker 1: production just isn't there, but the athletic testing is, and
- 13:14Speaker 1: there might be something in there. Do you know I'm
- 13:16Speaker 1: obviously referring to the Stanford kid.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yes, with a great first name, great first name.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Sam, Stanford Sam.
- 13:27Speaker 3: So I think it's really important again to talk when
- 13:31Speaker 3: we're talking about athletic testing, to talk about where that
- 13:34Speaker 3: comes from.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:35Speaker 3: So he's six six two sixty seven, so it's going
- 13:40Speaker 3: to be, you know, artificially heightened because well he's very
- 13:45Speaker 3: tall and very big. So I do think that's something
- 13:48Speaker 3: that we have to mention. But to mister Rush's credit,
- 13:53Speaker 3: his vertical was the third best, his three cone was
- 13:56Speaker 3: the best, his shuttle was the third best, his bench
- 13:58Speaker 3: was this was the third best.
- 14:01Speaker 1: So I love what you just said there, because athletic testing,
- 14:04Speaker 1: let's say all of the let's say his size is great,
- 14:07Speaker 1: which it is, right, and the only thing he did well.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Athletic testing was like a good forty.
- 14:12Speaker 1: That would be sort of like, okay, so he runs
- 14:15Speaker 1: really fast in a straight line, right like sometimes we
- 14:17Speaker 1: say about guards or something or a tackle. But the
- 14:21Speaker 1: fact that he's this huge body and tests well in
- 14:24Speaker 1: four different athletic categories shows you that there's some stuff
- 14:29Speaker 1: in there, and it makes me wonder like, is it
- 14:32Speaker 1: the Stanford offense itself that is the reason why he
- 14:35Speaker 1: wasn't that productive maybe compared to some of the other
- 14:38Speaker 1: top guys.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, one hundred percent can see that. I also
- 14:44Speaker 3: feel like he's a pretty good blocker if I remember correctly.
- 14:47Speaker 3: We're going to get more into the film once we
- 14:49Speaker 3: get to the next part of our analysis. And I've
- 14:52Speaker 3: watched these guys to some extent, but I don't remember
- 14:55Speaker 3: everyone one hundred percent. I'll admit that. But he, if
- 14:59Speaker 3: I remember correctly, one of his strong suits is blocking.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It is in fact, I'll read you this.
- 15:03Speaker 1: This is from Andrew de Checo from Inside the Birds,
- 15:05Speaker 1: of Course, who was out of the combine and was
- 15:07Speaker 1: able to catch up to Sam Rush's podium interview, and
- 15:12Speaker 1: this is a direct quote. I love dominating another individual.
- 15:16Speaker 1: We had a quote up in our locker room, there's
- 15:18Speaker 1: no greater feeling than moving a man from point A
- 15:20Speaker 1: to point B against his will.
- 15:23Speaker 2: And I want to embody that. Okay, So that just
- 15:26Speaker 2: he's got the blocking mentality. He comes from the right
- 15:29Speaker 2: school pedigree. We know.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Stanford's always been a big blocking too tight I think
- 15:33Speaker 1: Frank Craik was their coach this past year as.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Well, right, Yeah, he was.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's their their mentality, you know, line it
- 15:40Speaker 1: up in the trenches, run the ball. He also said
- 15:45Speaker 1: that he was asked about his run blocking and he
- 15:48Speaker 1: said that he felt like that was his bread and butter.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Okay, that's exactly what we said the Eagles should be
- 15:55Speaker 3: looking for. So makes sense to me. Yeah, I like that, quit.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I mean, this is something with somebody who I think,
- 16:04Speaker 1: even if he's not per se like the Eli Stowers
- 16:07Speaker 1: of the or the the Kenyan Sidiks of the world, right,
- 16:11Speaker 1: if you put him in a QB friendly or space
- 16:14Speaker 1: friendly offense like the Eagles, we expect.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Him to be able to run.
- 16:18Speaker 1: You may capitalize on some strengths that you only know
- 16:22Speaker 1: where they're from the athletic.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Testing and not from the production.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Definitely good stuff, all right, so that's a name for
- 16:29Speaker 1: Eagles fans to keep their eyes on.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Sam Rush and who else stands out to you in
- 16:32Speaker 2: this in this group.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, So obviously Dinkins is a guy that is worth
- 16:39Speaker 3: kind of talking about just because you know, he was
- 16:43Speaker 3: a very highly touted prospect coming in. Uh, his athleticism
- 16:48Speaker 3: score just was not great. Yeah, and he did say it.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I would say it's pretty bad.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, it's it's it's quite poor. One of the
- 16:57Speaker 3: worst ones on here, which is a little disappointing. I
- 17:02Speaker 3: do think some of it is for his size, but
- 17:05Speaker 3: I don't obviously. I mean, the size only factors in
- 17:09Speaker 3: so much. And and Dinkins is six four, two fifty one,
- 17:13Speaker 3: so that's actually even I was trying to be optimistic there.
- 17:18Speaker 3: It's unfortunate, Yeah, it really is.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 2: But by the way, running a four to seven forty
- 17:24Speaker 2: when you're two hundred and fifty pounds is sort of
- 17:26Speaker 2: like normal. It just means he's not a.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Freak unicorn, like like, it's not like he ran a
- 17:31Speaker 1: five to one or something like that, you know, and
- 17:33Speaker 1: he's just endlessly slow.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Wouldn't you say four to seven at that weight is
- 17:37Speaker 2: not like terrible.
- 17:38Speaker 3: I'd say it's pretty good. Yeah, yeah, it's just it's
- 17:41Speaker 3: hard when you have guys that are at that size
- 17:43Speaker 3: running a four to three nine, like that's that's really hard.
- 17:47Speaker 3: It skews your viewpoint. Again, you remove Sadiq and that
- 17:51Speaker 3: four to seven looks a lot better, right. And then
- 17:56Speaker 3: another guy I was I kind of like, and I
- 17:59Speaker 3: think I would have liked it if the Eagles didn't
- 18:02Speaker 3: switch their offense, would be John Michael Gillenborg. I think
- 18:07Speaker 3: he's probably a better pass catcher than he is blocker,
- 18:12Speaker 3: and he's kind of a fun prospect, very raw, very raw. Yeah,
- 18:18Speaker 3: but that's a guy that I kind of like. I
- 18:20Speaker 3: don't think he really would fit what the Eagles are
- 18:22Speaker 3: trying to do now, but that doesn't mean, Look he's
- 18:26Speaker 3: a Day three guy.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So I mean, well, look, I mean I think Howie
- 18:30Speaker 1: is not going to completely discard pass catching tight ends.
- 18:33Speaker 1: He did bring back Grant Calcata for one year. So
- 18:36Speaker 1: if you're looking for depth, like pass catching depth in
- 18:38Speaker 1: day three, that's where it's where you got Greg Calcata,
- 18:41Speaker 1: That's where you could get John Michael Gillenborg. But he'd
- 18:44Speaker 1: probably be sort of like the second tight end that
- 18:46Speaker 1: you're taking in that draft.
- 18:50Speaker 2: By the way, I'm not against that.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with you. And then so then I
- 18:56Speaker 3: think there's only one other guy, maybe two other guys
- 18:59Speaker 3: that maybe were discussing. Okay, so Jared is it Kannak?
- 19:06Speaker 2: I wasn't sure if it was Kanak or Kanak. So
- 19:09Speaker 2: let's go with the Oklahoma tight end.
- 19:11Speaker 3: The Oklahoma tight end is worth discussing a little bit.
- 19:15Speaker 3: I mean, he had the third fastest forty yard dash,
- 19:18Speaker 3: which again only tells you some part of a story.
- 19:22Speaker 3: But you know, he's a guy with the third the
- 19:26Speaker 3: fourth highest athleticism testing only tied to Matthew Hibner out
- 19:31Speaker 3: of SMU. And I think both those guys are kind
- 19:35Speaker 3: of worth discussing just because they are that next tier
- 19:39Speaker 3: of guys in terms of athletic testing. And that's what
- 19:42Speaker 3: we're discussing is athletic testing, right, So I think both
- 19:45Speaker 3: those guys deserve just to be talked about slightly. The
- 19:49Speaker 3: thing about Hibner is he had the best bench. He
- 19:53Speaker 3: did two more reps than Sadiq, and so I just
- 19:57Speaker 3: think it's worth mentioning those guys and saying, you know,
- 20:00Speaker 3: those are guys you should look out for a little bit.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Hey, If you're like me, you're desensitized to the dozens

- 22:33Speaker 1: That was a really good look around at the tight
- 22:36Speaker 1: end position, the athletic testing and how it will factor
- 22:39Speaker 1: in to.
- 22:39Speaker 2: The Eagles plans.
- 22:40Speaker 1: We'll continue our series at some point we'll pick up
