- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Swedish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna! Hey Lucas, last time we learned how to tell time. I've been practicing saying what time it is. Lucas: That's great, Luna! Today, we're going to learn some phrases that might come in handy if you ever need to visit a doctor in Sweden. Luna: Oh, I hope I don't need that, but it's good to know. So what's the first phrase? Lucas: Let's start with 'I have pain here.' In Swedish, that's 'Jag har ont här.' Repeat after me: Jag har ont här. Luna: Jag har ont här. That's a bit tricky. Jag har ont här. Lucas: Perfect! 'Jag' means 'I,' 'har' is 'have,' 'ont' means 'pain,' and 'här' is 'here.' So literally 'I have pain here.' Luna: So if I point to my head, I say 'Jag har ont här.' Lucas: Exactly. Now, the doctor might ask you 'Where does it hurt?' That's 'Var gör det ont?' Repeat: Var gör det ont? Luna: Var gör det ont? That sounds like 'Where does it hurt?' Lucas: Right. 'Var' means 'where,' 'gör' is 'does,' 'det' is 'it,' and 'ont' again is 'pain.' So 'Var gör det ont?' Luna: Var gör det ont? So I can answer 'Jag har ont här.' Lucas: Yes! Now another useful one: 'I feel bad' or 'I'm feeling unwell.' In Swedish: 'Jag mår dåligt.' Say it with me: Jag mår dåligt. Luna: Jag mår dåligt. That's a bit of a mouthful. Jag mår dåligt. Lucas: You've got it. 'Mår' is like 'feel' and 'dåligt' means 'bad.' So 'Jag mår dåligt' is 'I feel bad.' Luna: Okay. What if I have a fever? Lucas: Good question! 'I have a fever' is 'Jag har feber.' Simple! 'Feber' is almost the same as English. Repeat: Jag har feber. Luna: Jag har feber. That's easy! So 'Jag har feber.' Lucas: Yes. And if you need to say 'I need a doctor,' it's 'Jag behöver en läkare.' Try it: Jag behöver en läkare. Luna: Jag behöver en läkare. 'Behöver' is 'need,' and 'läkare' is 'doctor.' Jag behöver en läkare. Lucas: Excellent! Now, a doctor might also tell you to 'Take it easy.' In Swedish, 'Ta det lugnt.' Repeat: Ta det lugnt. Luna: Ta det lugnt. That sounds like 'take it calm' or 'take it easy.' Lucas: Yeah, 'lugnt' means 'calm.' So 'Ta det lugnt.' Luna: Let me try to use these in a little scene. So, if I go to the doctor and they ask 'Var gör det ont?' I can say 'Jag har ont här.' And if they ask how I feel, I can say 'Jag mår dåligt.' Lucas: Exactly. And if you have a fever, you can add 'Jag har feber.' Then they might tell you 'Ta det lugnt.' Luna: Right. So let's practice: Jag har ont här. Var gör det ont? Jag mår dåligt. Jag har feber. Jag behöver en läkare. Ta det lugnt. Lucas: Wow, you remembered all of them! Great job, Luna. Luna: Thanks, Lucas. I'll practice these, and I hope I never actually need to use them, but it's good to know. Lucas: That's the spirit. Keep practicing with Fexingo, and you'll be ready for any situation. Luna: See you next time! Hej då! Lucas: Hej då! Ta det lugnt!
