- 0:25Speaker 1: almost over. And thank you guys so much for your support.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Today's guest is a former NFL wide receiver. He's a commentator.
- 0:33Speaker 1: He's a podcast host and many other things. He has
- 0:36Speaker 1: a show called Nightcap with Shannon Sharp. He had a
- 0:40Speaker 1: huge career with the Cincinnati Bengals. He's an energy, and
- 0:48Speaker 1: I'm grateful to spend time today with Mr. Chad Ochocinco.
- 0:54Speaker 1: John Cena. Thanks for coming, Chad. You feel okay with
- 1:14Speaker 1: just getting into it? Anything you want to talk about
- 1:16Speaker 1: or don't want.
- 1:17Speaker 2: To talk about? Like having sex. Get into it.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Damn.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I don't have rules. Okay.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I'm just as crazy as you are.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Damn.
- 1:23Speaker 2: If you ask, you're ready for an answer.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Ooh. Well... Okay, Chad.
- 1:32Speaker 2: God damn, I look good.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You coming in a little dark, huh? How dark are I?
- 1:37Speaker 1: Do y'all do a, is there like a?
- 1:39Speaker 2: I can smoke because you put that right there.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It's fine with me.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Fuck yeah.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I don't think we got it. I mean, will that
- 1:47Speaker 1: thing go off, you think?
- 1:48Speaker 2: No, it's not enough smoke. Did you do F1 last weekend? Yeah,
- 1:52Speaker 2: I had to go shake some hands, smiles, get a
- 1:55Speaker 2: few deals done. I'm not much of a F1 guy. NASCAR,
- 2:00Speaker 2: now we talking. NASCAR is where it's at. Especially for
- 2:05Speaker 2: first dates.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Go to NASCAR? What? Some of this shit.
- 2:09Speaker 2: A woman that's never been to NASCAR and you sit
- 2:10Speaker 2: in the stands? Oh, awesome.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I got to do something like that. I used to
- 2:15Speaker 1: take girls, when I lived in Tucson, I'd take them
- 2:17Speaker 1: over to the dog track over there. Greyhounds? Yeah.
- 2:20Speaker 2: They had a Greyhound track still in Tucson?
- 2:22Speaker 1: It had a greyhound track. This is probably about 16
- 2:24Speaker 1: years ago.
- 2:24Speaker 2: We got the greyhound track here, too. Horse track. I
- 2:28Speaker 2: love that, man.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You got any nice animals at the house? No.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I travel too much for pets. And I can't deal
- 2:34Speaker 2: with death. I don't handle death well.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I wish. Sometimes I love to see animals compete
- 2:40Speaker 1: against each other.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I love that shit, man. They had a baby race
- 2:47Speaker 1: the other day at a college game. Crawling? Yeah.
- 2:50Speaker 2: That's funny. I saw some time when they do it
- 2:53Speaker 2: at NBA games, and the baby's crawling.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I bet on them. You ever had that game? Dude,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I put 1,100 on a four-month-old baby.
- 3:04Speaker 2: For real?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah. A fast little Filipino four-month-old.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Look, look, look. This is dope.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I put half a rack on that bitch. Oh, that's it.
- 3:17Speaker 2: That is funny.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Dang. Look at that one baby stalled out. Got dementia. Oh,
- 3:29Speaker 1: they cheating there.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Stop reaching across the line.
- 3:33Speaker 1: That's why I don't like that. That's the rules of change.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And look at this little one. Damn, he turning around.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Wrong way, buddy.
- 3:39Speaker 1: He want a new contract. He just hit the portal.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He's heading back to his stepdad.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Oh, they're going the wrong way.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Oh, that one can't handle it. Yeah, now they got
- 3:52Speaker 1: that little Filipino bad boy up top.
- 3:56Speaker 2: There it is.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That's Puka Nakua right there up top, baby. He about
- 4:01Speaker 1: to hit the finish line.
- 4:03Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Do you feel like it was probably, when you look
- 4:08Speaker 1: at the players today, do you feel like it was
- 4:10Speaker 1: easier for them to be able to pick up stats?
- 4:15Speaker 2: I mean, the game has changed. The game has evolved
- 4:16Speaker 2: a lot. Obviously, from a receiver standpoint, they They throw
- 4:19Speaker 2: the ball much more, much more. The era I played in,
- 4:22Speaker 2: it was more about running the ball to open up
- 4:24Speaker 2: the pass. So they definitely, I mean, it's a different average.
- 4:27Speaker 2: They have an added game, too. So it was much
- 4:30Speaker 2: more difficult. And the game is a little bit more
- 4:31Speaker 2: lenient in favor of the offensive side because defensive defenders
- 4:35Speaker 2: really can't do anything. You can't hit. They throw flags
- 4:38Speaker 2: for everything. You get fined for everything. I think my
- 4:40Speaker 2: era and the era before me, football in general back
- 4:43Speaker 2: then was the true definition of football. I mean, it's
- 4:47Speaker 2: a gladiator sport.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, definitely. Why do you think they softened up
- 4:51Speaker 1: the rules like that? Why do you think they made
- 4:53Speaker 1: it like that?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Honestly, the truth. I forgot what era it was when
- 4:56Speaker 2: they sued the NFL for all the injuries, all the
- 5:02Speaker 2: trauma that players have suffered in the past.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And they won the lawsuit. It might have been a
- 5:06Speaker 2: billion or something like that. And they had no choice
- 5:10Speaker 2: but to. Oh, yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 1: The National Football League was sued for failing to protect
- 5:12Speaker 1: players from head injuries, which can lead to CTE starting
- 5:16Speaker 1: in 2011. In 2012, a class action lawsuit was filed
- 5:19Speaker 1: to consolidate number 4,500 former player cases. So they settled that, huh?
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah, they won.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Damn.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Those players won, and that's why the rules are what
- 5:28Speaker 2: they are today. I know they always preach about player safety,
- 5:31Speaker 2: but that's, I mean, player safety is cool. It's understandable.
- 5:34Speaker 2: But players have gotten faster, stronger, bigger. The dimensions of
- 5:37Speaker 2: the field haven't changed at all. So therefore, injuries are
- 5:40Speaker 2: still going to happen. Concussions are still going to happen.
- 5:43Speaker 2: There's no way to prevent that. Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It's impossible.
- 5:45Speaker 2: It's impossible.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, because that's part of it. You can't just stop
- 5:48Speaker 1: that from happening.
- 5:49Speaker 2: It is part of it. You know what you signed
- 5:50Speaker 2: up for. You know what you signed up for when
- 5:51Speaker 2: you make it as a 1% in the NFL. It's
- 5:55Speaker 2: a gladiator sport. It's barbaric.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's a little bit of a bummer because you don't
- 6:00Speaker 1: really get as many. There's not enough defensive cornerbacks and safeties.
- 6:07Speaker 1: They don't really get enough love then because you don't
- 6:09Speaker 1: even get to know them as much because they can't
- 6:11Speaker 1: play as much defense. Does that make sense?
- 6:13Speaker 2: A little bit, but some of them have made a
- 6:16Speaker 2: name for themselves that are really good. Really, really good.
- 6:19Speaker 2: The Jalen Ramseys and McDuffie and, let me see, I'm
- 6:23Speaker 2: going to run some of these DBs off. Sauce Gardner,
- 6:28Speaker 2: Derek Stingley. Some dudes are really good, regardless of the
- 6:32Speaker 2: game changing the way it has. Pat Sertain, Lazarius Sneed,
- 6:36Speaker 2: really good. Jalen Johnson, good. Young dude, Christian Gonzalez with
- 6:39Speaker 2: the Patriots. Man, hey, he's an animal.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Wow.
- 6:43Speaker 2: He's an animal. And there's another young fella.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Latino right there.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, there's another young fella in, damn it, Horn from
- 6:54Speaker 2: the Panthers is really good as well.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Joe Horn's son?
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Joe Horn. He is nice.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Really?
- 6:59Speaker 2: So despite the rules being what they are, they've gotten
- 7:03Speaker 2: so good technically. you know, trying to adapt to the rules.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Some of them stand out.
- 7:07Speaker 1: But it feels like there can't really be that beast
- 7:10Speaker 1: out there that's just like clapping dudes down.
- 7:13Speaker 2: No, you can't. You can't. And the first thing that
- 7:16Speaker 2: comes to mind is the safety or maybe linebacker from
- 7:21Speaker 2: the Texans who got suspended. He got suspended maybe once
- 7:24Speaker 2: or twice because he plays like he's back in the
- 7:26Speaker 2: old days.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Who is it?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Al Shazier, Shazier, something like that.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Al Jazeera? Not him.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Who is it? I don't know how to say his
- 7:34Speaker 2: name the right way. Aziz Alshayer. Aziz Alshayer, yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Oh, hell yeah. He's an op, bro. He's working for
- 7:40Speaker 1: the Middle East over here. He's over here doing some shit.
- 7:44Speaker 2: He plays football the way football should be played.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Hell yeah. Hell yeah. I got to get his jersey, man.
- 7:50Speaker 2: He's good. He's really good.
- 7:51Speaker 1: But yeah, there's not like that Ronnie Lott guy. You
- 7:54Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? They just don't have those bangers.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Who was the guy that played for Denver that was
- 7:58Speaker 1: just a banger back there?
- 7:59Speaker 2: Steve Atwater.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Steve Atwater, Bob Sanders. Oh, he's old school.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 2: He's old school. And obviously, right there, players should have
- 8:10Speaker 2: slid early. Slide early.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you think about the slide, man? Because honestly,
- 8:14Speaker 1: as a fan, it doesn't even make it fun. If
- 8:16Speaker 1: the guy's running, you know he's going to slide. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 1: It just seems... I don't know. You would almost rather...
- 8:24Speaker 1: Don't do this play or somebody get hit.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Not really. And just slide early. You know the guys
- 8:29Speaker 2: are coming. They're much faster than you, especially quarterbacks. They're
- 8:32Speaker 2: much faster than you. And Mahomes is one who's really
- 8:34Speaker 2: tricky as he'll purposely slide late to get a penalty.
- 8:38Speaker 2: He does it all the time. Sometimes he'll pretend like
- 8:40Speaker 2: he's going down or going to step out of bounds
- 8:42Speaker 2: and stay in just a little bit, just a tad
- 8:44Speaker 2: second longer just to get a flag thrown.
- 8:46Speaker 1: God, he's lingering.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Offensive players are using the rules to their advantage. And
- 8:51Speaker 2: it puts the defensive players in a pickle.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah. But it builds it up. People want stats. People
- 8:56Speaker 1: want to see the scoring. Yeah, yeah. So I guess
- 8:59Speaker 1: it's just a sign of the times. Do you think
- 9:00Speaker 1: it can ever swing back the other way, or do
- 9:02Speaker 1: you think that the legal issues and stuff are going
- 9:04Speaker 1: to keep it out of that?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Absolutely not. It will never swing back the other way.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Because the NFL, they have to protect themselves. They got
- 9:09Speaker 2: to protect the shield and protect the players on the
- 9:11Speaker 2: back end.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Was it tough on your team when you play with
- 9:14Speaker 1: the Bengals? I know you play with a couple of
- 9:16Speaker 1: different teams, but with any team, is it fun for
- 9:18Speaker 1: a receiver if they're running, bro? Is it even fun?
- 9:22Speaker 1: You have to pretend that they're going to pass?
- 9:24Speaker 2: No, because I like to call myself an all-around player
- 9:27Speaker 2: outside of just catching the balls because there were certain
- 9:30Speaker 2: things I already knew I would have two people on
- 9:31Speaker 2: me every time. So that opened up the running game.
- 9:34Speaker 2: So I had no problem. So if you open up
- 9:35Speaker 2: the running game and the running game is doing well,
- 9:37Speaker 2: then they have to take a safety and get him
- 9:39Speaker 2: up off of me and bring him down in the
- 9:40Speaker 2: box and Now I get to cook. So I look
- 9:44Speaker 2: at it that way.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Do you think a lot of players look at it
- 9:47Speaker 1: that way?
- 9:48Speaker 2: Probably not. I knew I would get mine no matter
- 9:50Speaker 2: what because I was the number one receiver. So at
- 9:53Speaker 2: some point, the ball was going to get to me.
- 9:55Speaker 2: But then you have some games you go into and
- 9:57Speaker 2: a team will say, you know what? Today, 85. is
- 10:00Speaker 2: not beating us. It's going to have to be somebody else.
- 10:03Speaker 2: And those games, you know, you do the best you
- 10:04Speaker 2: can to keep your composure. It gets frustrating at times.
- 10:07Speaker 2: You're out there just getting cardio in.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:09Speaker 2: But you're going to have games like that.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So if somebody, if you know your team is running, right,
- 10:14Speaker 1: but you still have to pretend like they're going to pass, right?
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Always, always. And I'm rarely really ever
- 10:21Speaker 2: was lackadaisical because i understood what i mean to us
- 10:24Speaker 2: offensively even when i wouldn't get the ball.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Right like even if you're saying if they think they're
- 10:28Speaker 1: gonna have to keep an eye and if his eyes
- 10:30Speaker 1: over here it's not over here in the box.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yeah most definitely most definitely so i run them.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Off um and was that still fun too even on
- 10:37Speaker 1: those plays it's still fun i.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Made it fun i had to because i used that
- 10:40Speaker 2: time to talk shit yeah can you curse.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Huh okay i'm sorry okay cool You can talk shit, dude.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Who's the darkest dude you ever seen in the NFL, man?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Like the darkest skin guy. Darkest. Because sometimes you see
- 10:54Speaker 1: a guy like that. I've been even with my black
- 10:56Speaker 1: friends and we'll see like a dude that is. And
- 10:59Speaker 1: they're like, dang.
- 11:00Speaker 2: That's a good question.
- 11:02Speaker 1: My black friend be like, damn, you see that black guy?
- 11:03Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, dude. But for you to say that,
- 11:07Speaker 1: that's a remarkable.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I'm trying to think. I can't think. I'm dark my
- 11:12Speaker 2: damn self.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Well, you come, yeah, I definitely think you come in a,
- 11:16Speaker 1: people would consider you dark.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yeah, very, very. I'm trying to get darker.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Are you?
- 11:20Speaker 2: I used to tan.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Oh, yeah?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yes, I used to go to the tanning bed.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Did you? Damn.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, butt naked, just to even everything out. I like it.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Because are there parts, say if you're a, and I've
- 11:29Speaker 1: never seen a, I've never seen a full, I don't think, naked,
- 11:34Speaker 1: darker male, right? Right. Is there parts of your body
- 11:37Speaker 1: that are not as dark?
- 11:39Speaker 2: You know what? Sometimes I would like the chest and
- 11:40Speaker 2: the neck area to match. And sometimes it doesn't. I
- 11:43Speaker 2: don't like that because it's always covered. I want my legs, chest,
- 11:48Speaker 2: and everything one, like, chocolate, dark, go diva, Willy Wonka
- 11:52Speaker 2: type complexion.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Yeah, like them, what's them little things that they give
- 11:56Speaker 1: you sometimes at a hotel somewhere nice?
- 11:58Speaker 2: The little chocolates?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yeah, the ones that are wrapped, but sometimes they're red,
- 12:01Speaker 1: sometimes they're blue, sometimes it's gold.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, the little mint. I know what you're talking about.
- 12:05Speaker 1: What are they called? L'Adore. Oh, no. L'Adore. Yeah, them
- 12:11Speaker 1: Lindor truffles, baby.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Damn. I like those.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yeah, buh. That's what I'm saying, dude. If you had your... Bro,
- 12:18Speaker 1: if they had Chad Johnson Lindor truffle... That's a good one. Bro,
- 12:22Speaker 1: that's an elite candy. Look at them bitches. They wrapped
- 12:24Speaker 1: up real nice. God, they wearing a damn... Just a
- 12:27Speaker 1: beautiful panty they got them wrapped in.
- 12:29Speaker 2: $ 70.
- 12:31Speaker 1: God, that's expensive. Look at that. Them Lindor Changemakers, $ 320. What?
- 12:35Speaker 1: For one? Or the package... Bro, that's all I'm saying. Bro,
- 12:40Speaker 1: if they had Chad Johnson Chocolates.
- 12:43Speaker 2: That'd be dope.
- 12:45Speaker 1: It's a good idea.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I got to look into that.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Have you done some business ventures? Like, what's something you
- 12:48Speaker 1: ever got into? Because people get into something wild, you know?
- 12:51Speaker 1: Different people get into different stuff. Joe Horn had a
- 12:53Speaker 1: hot sauce or a barbecue sauce. Remember, he went big
- 12:56Speaker 1: on barbecue. Yeah. I'm trying to think of guys from
- 12:59Speaker 1: your time that had something wild. I mean, I was
- 13:03Speaker 1: a New Orleans guy, so I know Deuce McAllister had, like,
- 13:05Speaker 1: a car dealership.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Well, for me, it would be cigars. Oh, really? 85 cigars. Yeah.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You have a brand of them? Yeah. Oh, bet I
- 13:14Speaker 1: didn't even know, man.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I'm a year six. 85, a number five, and boom.
- 13:17Speaker 2: There they go.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Boy, them bitches give you a long CTE, huh?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Listen, that's all I do. I've never had alcohol.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Really?
- 13:25Speaker 2: Never. So anytime I have a cigar, I always pair
- 13:27Speaker 2: it with my coffee. I've just finished my coffee.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I've never had alcohol. No drugs. Never done anything but cigars.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I've been smoking since 1991. Since 91. I smoked two
- 13:38Speaker 2: or three a day. And this is actually even when
- 13:40Speaker 2: I was playing. When I was playing, I would smoke.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Whether we lost, whether we won.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Because what is it? What is it? Just like, yeah,
- 13:47Speaker 1: what is it? Because that's a pretty kind of a
- 13:50Speaker 1: real relationship with something.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, most definitely. It's all about the taste. It's all
- 13:54Speaker 2: about the taste. And I'm a fan of really all cigars,
- 13:57Speaker 2: whether they're mild, strong, peppery, smooth. It doesn't matter. I'm
- 14:04Speaker 2: a cigar enthusiast.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. God, I remember I used to work for
- 14:08Speaker 1: this rich guy, and sometimes he would call me in there.
- 14:14Speaker 1: He would be drunk, and the other ladies that worked there,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I was at an insurance company. They had gone home,
- 14:18Speaker 1: and I was just the guy who was doing the
- 14:21Speaker 1: filings and stuff and mailing things, and he'd be drunk,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and he'd call me to listen to him because he
- 14:25Speaker 1: just wanted to just be rich and have somebody hear
- 14:28Speaker 1: him be rich. So he was sitting there with a
- 14:31Speaker 1: big cigar, and he tried to get me to hit
- 14:33Speaker 1: them bitches a couple times. God. I just couldn't handle
- 14:38Speaker 1: some of it. I mean, my hands swell up. One
- 14:40Speaker 1: of them made my hands real straight. I think he
- 14:43Speaker 1: was smoking some shit that they had, you know, they'd
- 14:46Speaker 1: put some other shit in it at the house or whatever.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Because I couldn't even bend my hands for almost 40
- 14:50Speaker 1: minutes after smoking them bitches.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Did you inhale?
- 14:52Speaker 1: Huh?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Did you inhale?
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I tried my best, man.
- 14:55Speaker 2: You're not supposed to inhale. You're supposed to taste it. Oh,
- 14:57Speaker 2: I like to hit that bitch. Cigars, it's an acquired taste.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah. And he didn't teach me like that. He just like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:02Speaker 2: He just gave it to you?
- 15:03Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. He was complaining, something, you know, the oil
- 15:06Speaker 1: or whatever. And I was, and I did, I had
- 15:08Speaker 1: to finish filing that afternoon, bro. Like a platypus in
- 15:14Speaker 1: there trying to fucking figure shit out, man. But yeah,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I didn't know that. So you never had alcohol, huh?
- 15:19Speaker 2: No, I never, I never will, man.
- 15:21Speaker 1: But did something turn you off to it when you
- 15:22Speaker 1: were young?
- 15:23Speaker 2: I think it might've been my mom. She drank? Yeah, she, oh,
- 15:25Speaker 2: did she?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Really?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Oh man, she drank like a fish, you know, morning, morning, noon, night,
- 15:29Speaker 2: you know, and seeing her become somebody I didn't even recognize.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I think that's why I stayed away from it because
- 15:34Speaker 2: it always starts young. Anytime you have a habit that
- 15:37Speaker 2: you stay away from, you have the discipline to do it.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Most people say, oh, you're so disciplined. No, say, no,
- 15:40Speaker 2: I'm not. I saw something in my mom when I
- 15:43Speaker 2: was younger that let me know, you know what, I'm
- 15:45Speaker 2: not going down that path. I just never did it.
- 15:48Speaker 1: And is she still alive?
- 15:50Speaker 2: No, she passed away from alcohol poisoning.
- 15:52Speaker 1: From cirrhosis of the liver?
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yep, 2021. I'll never forget. And I knew that. I
- 15:57Speaker 2: got that phone call. I got that phone call, and
- 16:00Speaker 2: I knew something was wrong because it was family members calling.
- 16:03Speaker 2: family members never call especially like that back to back
- 16:07Speaker 2: from different family members and I kind of already knew
- 16:09Speaker 2: what it was because my brother had already called so
- 16:12Speaker 2: I already know nothing's wrong with him right and I
- 16:15Speaker 2: had a feeling what it was and say come down
- 16:18Speaker 2: to the house your mom is she's passed out they
- 16:22Speaker 2: couldn't even open the door she was right there right
- 16:25Speaker 2: there by the door and obviously the autopsy came back
- 16:27Speaker 2: and she passed away drank herself to death that's my baby.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Though Thanks for sharing that. Yeah, man. I, uh, you know,
- 16:37Speaker 1: I've been in recovery and struggling over the years from
- 16:39Speaker 1: drinking and a lot of my friends, you know, it's
- 16:41Speaker 1: part of, it's part of a lot of people's universe
- 16:43Speaker 1: these days. What, uh, and how do you try? And
- 16:46Speaker 1: I even have a family member. We try, I've done
- 16:48Speaker 1: intervention and stuff. Did you guys ever try to do
- 16:50Speaker 1: something like that? Is that hard as a son? Because
- 16:52Speaker 1: I bet it's kind of tough with a parent because
- 16:54Speaker 1: they're kind of, you still have to look up to them.
- 16:57Speaker 2: It was, it was very difficult and it was so
- 17:00Speaker 2: difficult that I couldn't do it and she wouldn't listen
- 17:02Speaker 2: to me. You know, you can lead a horse to water,
- 17:05Speaker 2: but you can't make them drink. So she has to
- 17:07Speaker 2: want to get the help herself. And they can't drink alcohol. Yeah. Hey, listen.
- 17:10Speaker 2: And so I even went as far as we were
- 17:13Speaker 2: on Marriage Boot Camp, but it was family edition. I
- 17:15Speaker 2: think it was WeTV. I forgot what it was.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It was a show that you did? Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 2: So her and I, it's all about a mother and
- 17:22Speaker 2: son or a mother and whatever family member it was.
- 17:25Speaker 2: You're trying to mend the relationship and whatever issues you have.
- 17:28Speaker 2: So I took her on there, and boy, she cut
- 17:31Speaker 2: a fool. She cut a fool.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Oh, she didn't want to be.
- 17:34Speaker 2: She cut a fool. Obviously had alcohol out. They had
- 17:37Speaker 2: all this stuff. And it was her and I, you know,
- 17:39Speaker 2: two weeks, two weeks straight. We went through different activities.
- 17:41Speaker 2: They had two therapists, two doctors there. And there it
- 17:44Speaker 2: is right there. And man.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Oh, she's beautiful. What's her name?
- 17:47Speaker 2: Paula. Paula Johnson. We call her Hurricane Paula. Woo.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Category. Category 85, huh?
- 17:54Speaker 2: When she gets upset, it's a hurricane. It's a hurricane.
- 17:58Speaker 2: And listen, she showed out in that show, man. That's
- 18:00Speaker 2: my baby. She showed out. But she just wouldn't. She
- 18:03Speaker 2: left the show early. She didn't even finish the show.
- 18:05Speaker 2: She left early. Cussed the producers out. Cussed the rest
- 18:08Speaker 2: of the castmates out.
- 18:08Speaker 1: She didn't want it. Nah.
- 18:10Speaker 2: She didn't want to get the help I wanted, man.
- 18:12Speaker 2: But that's my baby. There was a funeral scene we did.
- 18:15Speaker 2: There was a funeral scene we did where she was like,
- 18:18Speaker 2: close the casket. So it was me in a casket.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And how would she feel if I was to pass away? Oh, man.
- 18:24Speaker 2: She showed out. Oh, she showed out. Close the caskets.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Let his baby mama's roll him in. Oh, it was hilarious.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Oh, she made it funny?
- 18:31Speaker 2: Oh, man. No, she was dead serious, though.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Oh.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Oh, she was pissed. She was pissed. So that was
- 18:36Speaker 2: the introduction. Let his baby mama's roll him in. Yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 2: let him close that bitch and let his baby mama's
- 18:41Speaker 2: roll his ass up out of here. Yeah, yeah. And
- 18:44Speaker 2: so people were... Wow.
- 18:46Speaker 1: That's hilarious, dude.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Yeah, the world was introduced... to Hurricane Polo. Everything we
- 18:52Speaker 2: do is designed.
- 18:52Speaker 3: To provoke an emotional response.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Do you want us to talk at you? That look alone,
- 18:56Speaker 1: she didn't take any bullshit, huh?
- 18:58Speaker 2: No, she didn't play.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It doesn't work.
- 18:59Speaker 2: I wrote that.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I meant that. But I haven't been a part of
- 19:02Speaker 1: his life and he hasn't been a part of mine.
- 19:05Speaker 1: He got his kids and baby mamas. Line them up.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Let him roll his ass out of here.
- 19:11Speaker 3: You said you wanted to close the casket earlier.
- 19:13Speaker 1: No, you close it. I don't work for the funeral home.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Let one of your children come close.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Sit down, Paula.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Sit down, Paula.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Never.
- 19:23Speaker 1: You could never tell Paula to sit down.
- 19:24Speaker 2: She's a legend. She's a legend, especially in our area.
- 19:27Speaker 2: We have a thing. You're not really a friend of
- 19:29Speaker 2: mine if you haven't been cursed out by my mom.
- 19:32Speaker 2: That means you ain't been around long enough. And that's
- 19:34Speaker 2: how she was. And we loved her just like that.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And I never got a chance to say goodbye. I
- 19:39Speaker 2: never got a chance to say I love you. But
- 19:41Speaker 2: I had the messages saved before she passed away and
- 19:45Speaker 2: it's her cursing me out.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I mean, let me have it. Let it rip. Like, paragraph, paragraph,
- 19:50Speaker 2: fuck you. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I wouldn't want it any other way.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Because that's who she was.
- 19:56Speaker 2: That's who she was.
- 19:57Speaker 1: That's fair. Yeah, I have a family member. They'll send me, like,
- 19:59Speaker 1: some of the texts they send, shit in caps, emojis,
- 20:02Speaker 1: things don't even make any sense. I can't even read it.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I already know what it is, right?
- 20:07Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 20:07Speaker 1: But at the same time, that's who they are. You
- 20:10Speaker 1: have to love people where they're at. It's tough, though.
- 20:12Speaker 1: That's a tough time. I think so many people deal
- 20:14Speaker 1: with that. How do I love a family member that's struggling?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Because you can even give them things. I mean, even
- 20:19Speaker 1: if you're able to provide them.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and the funny thing about it is I had
- 20:23Speaker 2: to stop the bleeding as well. Because an individual like that,
- 20:26Speaker 2: they will use, oh, I'm your mama as a reason
- 20:29Speaker 2: for you to keep giving, giving, giving, giving. And the
- 20:31Speaker 2: taker doesn't know when to stop. It doesn't know when
- 20:33Speaker 2: to stop. And there was no appreciation behind it because
- 20:36Speaker 2: no matter how much I did, it was always an issue.
- 20:39Speaker 2: So even at that point with mom, I even had
- 20:41Speaker 2: to deal with her from arm's length at a distance.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And it was cool. My grandma raised me, so her
- 20:48Speaker 2: and I weren't really eye to eye most of the time.
- 20:52Speaker 2: But man, when the times were good, oh man, they
- 20:56Speaker 2: were good. But when it was bad, I know. We
- 20:59Speaker 2: talk about entertainment. Like, her being on that show was
- 21:04Speaker 2: able to introduce the world to who Hurricane Paula was,
- 21:06Speaker 2: and she was TV gold. She was TV gold.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Oh, dude, that little bit right there. It almost reminds
- 21:13Speaker 1: me of that woman in New York when she was
- 21:16Speaker 1: at her best. Remember?
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 21:17Speaker 1: When she was at her best, though. Yes, yes. Like,
- 21:19Speaker 1: her best moments remind me of something just like that. Oh,
- 21:22Speaker 1: that's interesting. And at least you have that also, a
- 21:25Speaker 1: moment of you guys' time together. Mm-hmm. you know, to
- 21:27Speaker 1: look at. I bet she was super proud of you, though.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Was she able to express that to you?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely. She was proud of all the things I
- 21:32Speaker 2: was able to accomplish, you know, obviously during my days
- 21:35Speaker 2: in NFL, all the stuff I did off the field.
- 21:39Speaker 2: But she was so unpredictable. I couldn't take her to
- 21:42Speaker 2: important stuff.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Because, you know, red carpet, stuff like that. I couldn't
- 21:46Speaker 2: have her in those rooms because I don't know what
- 21:48Speaker 2: Paula was going to show up. I didn't know which
- 21:50Speaker 2: mom was going to show up. And I didn't want
- 21:51Speaker 2: her to embarrass me in those moments that would, We're
- 21:56Speaker 2: supposed to be celebrating whatever achievement it may be. But listen,
- 22:00Speaker 2: if the wrong person is there and she sees, she
- 22:02Speaker 2: might snap. It doesn't care about their surroundings or their environment.
- 22:05Speaker 2: So I had to be cautious.
- 22:07Speaker 1: She'll get a defensive pass interference call. Man, quick, and
- 22:10Speaker 1: don't care. And don't care. Wow, dude, that's so interesting
- 22:16Speaker 1: because that's also, it has to be wild because that's
- 22:17Speaker 1: where you obviously got a lot of your... banter and
- 22:21Speaker 1: ability to accept things, even if they're in a dangerous
- 22:23Speaker 1: space to keep. Because one thing that's interesting, I think
- 22:26Speaker 1: about you, Chad, and this is kind of, it may
- 22:28Speaker 1: be judgment, but it's just me kind of from an
- 22:29Speaker 1: outside perspective is even if things are chaotic and crazy
- 22:32Speaker 1: for other people, you're still able to have this sense
- 22:35Speaker 1: of humor that things aren't even, not that it doesn't matter,
- 22:38Speaker 1: but that it's not affecting you.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah. I think because of my upbringing and me being
- 22:44Speaker 2: able to operate well in a chaotic environment, And I'm
- 22:48Speaker 2: very comfortable being uncomfortable. Very. It doesn't matter what's going on.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I love chaos. And I operate well in chaos. Very well.
- 22:59Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what it is.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Now, will you also create the chaos just to then
- 23:02Speaker 1: slide in and operate in it?
- 23:04Speaker 2: Yes. Think about during my time playing. I was very chaotic.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I purposely tried to piss the NFL off.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Purposely.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Because I understood the game is an entertainment sport. So therefore,
- 23:15Speaker 2: I'm going to bring just that. the entertainment value part
- 23:18Speaker 2: to it. They didn't see it that way. But all
- 23:20Speaker 2: of a sudden, everything I was vilified for now is
- 23:22Speaker 2: a green light. Everybody's celebrating. Everybody's having fun. And I
- 23:26Speaker 2: understood what I was doing.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And look where you're at now. You're in a space
- 23:29Speaker 1: where you're still entertaining, right?
- 23:31Speaker 2: Still going.
- 23:32Speaker 1: In a little bit of a way, you're kind of
- 23:34Speaker 1: before your time with that. And it takes other, it's
- 23:37Speaker 1: even like with podcasting. At first, they thought podcasting was crazy.
- 23:40Speaker 1: These people aren't doing shit. They're out here doing we
- 23:43Speaker 1: got networks we got all it is and then you
- 23:46Speaker 1: know as well as anybody I mean half your times
- 23:48Speaker 1: when you're doing shows with Shannon you're just sitting there
- 23:50Speaker 1: on your phone or computer he's in a studio sometimes
- 23:52Speaker 1: but sometimes you're showing up from wherever from your home
- 23:55Speaker 1: you just tapped in off a laptop and that's you know.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I started the podcasting early too I think in 2010
- 24:01Speaker 2: let's go Terrell Owens and I had a show called
- 24:03Speaker 2: the Teoto Show and that was the first form of
- 24:06Speaker 2: podcasting in a sense I think that there ever.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Was dude I remember so I lived in LA for
- 24:12Speaker 1: maybe 11 years I remember I went one time, I
- 24:15Speaker 1: was meeting some girl. I think I met her off
- 24:17Speaker 1: the internet or something, but I was going to take her.
- 24:21Speaker 1: She's like, will you take me shopping? And I was like, fuck. Shopping?
- 24:23Speaker 2: I know.
- 24:24Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah. Was this before or after sex?
- 24:26Speaker 1: This was before sex. This was before a handshake. And so,
- 24:30Speaker 1: but I knew I wasn't going to take her anywhere nice.
- 24:32Speaker 1: You know, I was, but I still wanted to, I
- 24:34Speaker 1: think I was just susceptible. Right. So I'm like, where
- 24:38Speaker 1: can I take this girl that's, Not expensive, but.
- 24:42Speaker 2: American Apparel.
- 24:43Speaker 1: That has something. H & M. Right, right. So that's
- 24:46Speaker 1: kind of the district I took her in, right? Anyway,
- 24:49Speaker 1: she's looking at shit and everything, and I saw Terrell
- 24:53Speaker 1: Owens and Macaulay Culkin having lunch together.
- 24:55Speaker 2: That's dope. God.
- 24:57Speaker 1: And it was beautiful. It was almost like seeing a
- 25:00Speaker 1: Loch Ness Monster or a Sasquatch. You know what I'm saying?
- 25:03Speaker 1: You would never see that. Mm-hmm. You know, it's just
- 25:05Speaker 1: something like... Just sometimes you see certain groups of people
- 25:07Speaker 1: in the wild. It's just beautiful, but... What made T,
- 25:11Speaker 1: was T, because you guys were also teammates.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he was in Cincinnati. Was he as entertaining?
- 25:16Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 25:18Speaker 2: And I got to think, we were friends before that.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I remember I stood on the table for T, and
- 25:23Speaker 2: I knew we had an opportunity to get him. So
- 25:25Speaker 2: I talked to Marvin Lewis. I talked to Mike Brown.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I said, we got to get T in here. We
- 25:28Speaker 2: got to get T in here. As much as I've
- 25:30Speaker 2: accomplished here as a Cincinnati Bengal, can we please get
- 25:33Speaker 2: one of the greatest players to ever play? Top three,
- 25:36Speaker 2: all time, no matter what. I have no problem taking
- 25:40Speaker 2: a backseat and being his Robin.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Really?
- 25:42Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. With nothing but respect. So I couldn't wait.
- 25:46Speaker 2: And T and having T in that locker room and
- 25:49Speaker 2: watching him practice and having a great understanding on his
- 25:52Speaker 2: approach to the game of football. Man, that was a treat.
- 25:55Speaker 2: And I think it's a treat. I've never had a
- 25:57Speaker 2: chance to actually sit there and tell him how much
- 25:59Speaker 2: I admired him in general as not only a player,
- 26:02Speaker 2: but his approach to the game of football as And
- 26:04Speaker 2: I got a better understanding on why he's one of
- 26:06Speaker 2: the greatest.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Really?
- 26:08Speaker 2: Yeah, man. It was a joy.
- 26:10Speaker 1: What made it so special, his approach? I know. I mean,
- 26:12Speaker 1: there's rumors that he sleeps in like a barbaric chamber
- 26:14Speaker 1: or something. Yeah, he does. He's sleeping in like a
- 26:17Speaker 1: hollowed out missile or whatever.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I'm the complete opposite. You know, T.O. was very massages,
- 26:22Speaker 2: hyperbaric chamber, ice tub, cold tub, eat right, salad, all
- 26:27Speaker 2: this stuff I didn't do. And I'm McDonald's. Cigars, complete opposite.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Totally different sides of the spectrum. So it's just being
- 26:36Speaker 2: around a man, it was such a joy. And I
- 26:39Speaker 2: was a sponge. And he doesn't even know it. I
- 26:41Speaker 2: took as much as I could from him in that moment,
- 26:44Speaker 2: in that year I had with him. And still to
- 26:46Speaker 2: this day, very good friend of mine, man. Very good friend.

- 28:37Speaker 1: just so many different things that come along with doing
- 28:41Speaker 1: it yourself. It was hard for me in the early

- 30:50Speaker 1: things are interesting, like if you get some popularity in
- 30:55Speaker 1: your life or something happens, you get to meet different people. Well,
- 30:58Speaker 1: it had to be crazy in your world because you
- 31:00Speaker 1: kind of go from a college, right? And I know
- 31:01Speaker 1: you went to SMC. I went to SMC. You did? Yeah. Yeah,
- 31:04Speaker 1: I was at SMC too. I went to SMC, man.
- 31:06Speaker 1: The SMC was wild, bro. Yeah. Because there was nowhere
- 31:09Speaker 1: to fucking park. So, dude, it was like, I would
- 31:13Speaker 1: drive to school, and if I didn't park, I wasn't learning.
- 31:15Speaker 1: That was it.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I took the bus. I took the bus down Pico.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I'll never forget. At that time, I had a young
- 31:21Speaker 2: lady I was dating. She lived in the jungles across
- 31:24Speaker 2: from Dorsey High School, right off Coliseum in the third building.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I'll never forget. And I would take the bus. I
- 31:29Speaker 2: would take the bus to school.
- 31:30Speaker 1: What was it like playing? Because that was a community college,
- 31:33Speaker 1: but it was probably a really good program they had.
- 31:35Speaker 1: It was the best that they could have.
- 31:36Speaker 2: It was good. Especially back then, obviously, Steve Smith Sr.
- 31:38Speaker 2: He was on the team with me. And I needed that.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I needed to get out of the environment out here
- 31:42Speaker 2: in Miami to.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Because this is where you started out at? Yeah. With A.B.?
- 31:46Speaker 1: Was A.B. running when you were running?
- 31:47Speaker 2: Well, he was a little younger.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Oh, he was? Yeah, A.B.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Was a little younger.
- 31:49Speaker 1: But did you hear about him or no?
- 31:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I watched him in high school when he was
- 31:52Speaker 2: at New Orleans. Yeah, I've been watching A.B. for years.
- 31:55Speaker 1: And his dad was also from Miami?
- 31:56Speaker 2: Troy... I'm not sure. Was it Troy?
- 32:00Speaker 1: Touchdown Browns? who is that right there that's eddie brown
- 32:04Speaker 1: touchdown eddie brown that's ab's daddy his father uh that's
- 32:09Speaker 1: ab's dad that's his dad serious yeah his father had
- 32:12Speaker 1: the most touchdowns he still holds a record i think
- 32:17Speaker 1: most touchdowns in arena football.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Wait that's his dad for real i didn't know that
- 32:22Speaker 2: eddie brown oh that's dope but i don't know how
- 32:25Speaker 2: many siblings and stuff he has He gets put on
- 32:29Speaker 2: the CTE bus a lot. You know, he gets put
- 32:31Speaker 2: on that baby bus. Do you think that's true or
- 32:34Speaker 2: do you think it's... Nah, I think he knows what
- 32:36Speaker 2: he's doing. And he played into the CTE thing real well.
- 32:39Speaker 2: You know, his CTE, his CTE ESPN.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Hilarious, dude.
- 32:43Speaker 2: It's hilarious. It's hilarious.
- 32:45Speaker 1: And he's kind of bridging a little bit. He does
- 32:48Speaker 1: a little bit of racial bridging, kind of.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Yeah, a little bit.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Because he'll call people, you know, he'll call some guy
- 32:54Speaker 1: crack or some guy the N-word.
- 32:55Speaker 2: He'll mix it.
- 32:56Speaker 1: He'll call an Asian the N-word.
- 32:57Speaker 2: He don't get me. There's no. He's in a space
- 33:00Speaker 2: right now where he knows what he's doing and he
- 33:02Speaker 2: knows how to get that traction. He knows how to
- 33:04Speaker 2: get that reaction.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I cheer him on because I do find that it's
- 33:08Speaker 1: interesting where he's at and I hope he can figure
- 33:10Speaker 1: out the best way to manage it.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I mean, look at this shit. Hey, listen, he's on
- 33:17Speaker 2: a historic run right now. He's on a historic run
- 33:20Speaker 2: in his own lane doing what he does. I love
- 33:24Speaker 2: him to death. I love him to death. Obviously, a
- 33:27Speaker 2: friend of mine before football.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 33:30Speaker 2: Yeah, before football. Yeah, this goes way back. And that's
- 33:32Speaker 2: someone I will always support, whether it's up close, whether
- 33:35Speaker 2: it's from afar. His decisions that he makes, that's him.
- 33:40Speaker 2: He's a grown man. But there's one thing about him,
- 33:42Speaker 2: I'm going to always love him.
- 33:44Speaker 1: No, that's nice to hear, man. Yeah, I will say this.
- 33:47Speaker 1: There's something extremely lovable about him, right? It's like whatever
- 33:51Speaker 1: he does or anything he's saying, him as a person,
- 33:56Speaker 1: he has such a warm energy and smile. And now
- 33:59Speaker 1: I haven't seen a darker side of him. There may be,
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't know. But he's got such a smile that
- 34:03Speaker 1: it's like you want to hear what's going to happen
- 34:07Speaker 1: with him. Yeah, very interesting, very unpredictable. Unpredictable.
- 34:11Speaker 2: That's what makes it so awesome. Because you don't know
- 34:13Speaker 2: what the fuck, excuse me, you don't know, you can curse?
- 34:16Speaker 2: You can curse. You don't know what the fuck is
- 34:17Speaker 2: going to happen next.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Because I don't even think he knows. He might know,
- 34:21Speaker 1: but you're like, I'm going to ride with him even
- 34:23Speaker 1: if he doesn't.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Everything AB does right now is strategic. It's strategic. It's
- 34:29Speaker 2: planned out. And he's two steps ahead of everybody else.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I love hearing that. Yeah, Belichick really opened the
- 34:35Speaker 1: portal with dating a young lady, man. Yeah.
- 34:37Speaker 2: I mean, the portal. Yeah, I had the opportunity to
- 34:39Speaker 2: work with Bill this past season on NFL Films. So
- 34:43Speaker 2: Bill was there with me and Ryan Clark and Chris Long.
- 34:45Speaker 1: And did you get to meet his girlfriend then?
- 34:47Speaker 2: No, I didn't meet her. I think I might have
- 34:50Speaker 2: saw her once.
- 34:52Speaker 1: People are almost overshadowing his acumen and what he's done
- 34:56Speaker 1: with her. The media will do that a lot of times.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. I mean, Bill is Bill. Bill's going to
- 35:02Speaker 2: be able to do what he wants to do. His
- 35:03Speaker 2: resume speaks for itself. And I'm excited for Bill, obviously,
- 35:07Speaker 2: and what he's going to do turning that UNC program
- 35:09Speaker 2: around and getting another opportunity the coach in the NFL. Now,
- 35:13Speaker 2: what he decides to do with his personal life, that's
- 35:16Speaker 2: one thing I stay away from. You know, I always
- 35:17Speaker 2: stay away from stuff like that. Yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Yeah, because I'm trying to think, because my dad was
- 35:22Speaker 1: 70 when I was born. My mom was 32, right?
- 35:24Speaker 1: So they had, what is Bill's difference in it?
- 35:27Speaker 2: 74 and 23, right?
- 35:31Speaker 1: So, yeah, I mean, you know, I didn't love having
- 35:34Speaker 1: an old, if they had children, I don't know if
- 35:36Speaker 1: I loved having an old dad because, you know, it's
- 35:38Speaker 1: like a limited time offer. Mm-hmm. You know, every time
- 35:41Speaker 1: you see him, that shit, the clock is, you know. Ticking. Oh,
- 35:45Speaker 1: the clock is ticking. Heaven's going to make a draft pick,
- 35:47Speaker 1: you know. So you start to see that 49-year age gap.
- 35:50Speaker 1: But who knows if they're in love. Yeah.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Listen, love who loves you. Love who loves you. That's
- 35:58Speaker 2: all I can say.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Do you feel like it's risky? Like with athletes and stuff,
- 36:05Speaker 1: there's a lot of like, you know, there's a lot
- 36:07Speaker 1: of potential for, to get... in a sticky situations because
- 36:13Speaker 1: a lot of athletes, they're, you know, they're people know
- 36:17Speaker 1: that they have money. Yeah. They're, they're in great shape.
- 36:21Speaker 1: You know, it seems to be like it happens more
- 36:24Speaker 1: often than not these days.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Most definitely. Most definitely. I mean, you gotta, you gotta
- 36:27Speaker 2: be cautious. You gotta be weary and always understand that,
- 36:31Speaker 2: you know, sometimes most of those that you'll deal with,
- 36:34Speaker 2: most of those who will deal with you is because
- 36:36Speaker 2: of what you can do and not who you are.
- 36:39Speaker 1: How do you try and figure that out? You can't.
- 36:42Speaker 1: You don't think?
- 36:43Speaker 2: You can't figure it out because you always have to
- 36:47Speaker 2: lean into it with that same thought process.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Like what are you saying?
- 36:52Speaker 2: You have to understand, especially when you have money and
- 36:55Speaker 2: you have things going on for yourself, would you be
- 36:58Speaker 2: able to get the same girl that's with you now
- 36:59Speaker 2: if you didn't have it? Nine times out of ten,
- 37:02Speaker 2: absolutely not.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Not.
- 37:04Speaker 2: That's reality. Reality. I don't know that goes for any
- 37:09Speaker 2: and everybody you know that's just life that's just the
- 37:12Speaker 2: way it is if you lost the ability to provide
- 37:15Speaker 2: the woman you're with right now would she still be there.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And that's probably for any man really almost in any
- 37:20Speaker 1: space period if you lost the ability to provide.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Period or do the things or give her the lifestyle
- 37:26Speaker 2: that you've been able to what was she doing before
- 37:28Speaker 2: you came along yeah and look what you've done with
- 37:31Speaker 2: that certain individual that you're with you know and depending
- 37:34Speaker 2: on how much money you have your lease is very
- 37:36Speaker 2: long And when things hit the roof, most of the
- 37:40Speaker 2: time when she leaves you, she has to take that
- 37:42Speaker 2: money with her to continue that lifestyle.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 1: That's a tough spot then because your money is going
- 37:47Speaker 1: to get kind of divided up. Yeah. Do you have
- 37:51Speaker 1: a lot? You have a decent amount of children.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot. 85.
- 37:54Speaker 1: You have 85? Is that your goal? Yeah. Yeah. Boy,
- 37:57Speaker 1: you got to get.
- 37:58Speaker 2: That was my goal. But then also the people I've
- 38:01Speaker 2: had kids with, we were all on one accord.
- 38:03Speaker 1: What does that mean? We were all on one accord.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I only dated women that were athletic. I'm not having
- 38:08Speaker 2: kids just to have kids.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Oh, so they have some strategy.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Yeah, there was strategy behind mine. I don't care about
- 38:14Speaker 2: you being a bad bitch. I don't care about you
- 38:15Speaker 2: being on IG with your ass out.
- 38:17Speaker 1: And no BBLs, all of that.
- 38:19Speaker 2: I mean, that's fine. Whatever you need to do to
- 38:21Speaker 2: feel better about yourself, I'm fine with that. But I
- 38:24Speaker 2: needed and only dated women that were athletic.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Wow.
- 38:27Speaker 2: So my kids had a head start on that foundation
- 38:31Speaker 2: of athletic ability. That's it. So I look at women,
- 38:33Speaker 2: I look at ankles.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Yeah, because I look at some track. Do you see
- 38:37Speaker 1: some of them track women?
- 38:37Speaker 2: Yeah, my daughter runs track at University of Kentucky now.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Oh, really? Yeah, I live in Nashville, man. That's not far.
- 38:43Speaker 1: For real? Yeah, if you go up to see a meet,
- 38:45Speaker 1: I'll come up there and meet up with you guys.
- 38:46Speaker 1: In Lexington? Yeah. Dude, that'd be awesome.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Because I bet they also run against LSU. I want
- 38:51Speaker 1: to tell LSU if they run against LSU or Vanderbilt. Dude,
- 38:54Speaker 1: that'd be sick, bro. I'll come up there, man.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and I never really have this. There she is. Yeah,
- 39:00Speaker 2: this is when she was young.
- 39:01Speaker 1: And she's good, huh?
- 39:02Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. She can go. She can go. She can't
- 39:04Speaker 2: beat me, but she can go.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Do you think she'll be able to beat you at
- 39:07Speaker 1: some point?
- 39:08Speaker 2: Absolutely not. Because before my kids beat me in anything,
- 39:13Speaker 2: I would trip her. I'm just being honest. I would
- 39:17Speaker 2: trip her before she beat me. Not happening. Not happening.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Dang. So was her mother athletic?
- 39:28Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Yeah, do you see those track ladies.
- 39:31Speaker 2: All of them oh did you cheer did you play
- 39:34Speaker 2: volleyball Did you run track?
- 39:36Speaker 1: Volleyball, yeah.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I mean, I just.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Need to see. But cheer, sometimes you get these little nuggets.
- 39:40Speaker 1: They get them little McNuggets out there.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I know. I can tell. Because when I go on dates,
- 39:44Speaker 2: I like to go places where you have to show
- 39:46Speaker 2: me athletic ability. Go to Dave and Buster's. Can you shoot? Now,
- 39:49Speaker 2: if you don't have no form and can't shoot, I
- 39:51Speaker 2: can't do nothing with you. Go bowling. Go roller skating. Oh,
- 39:55Speaker 2: that's a good one. So I hold my own.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Roller skating. It's ice skating for black people right there.
- 40:01Speaker 1: That's what that is, dude.
- 40:02Speaker 2: What do you call the combine? I hold my own combines.
- 40:05Speaker 2: They think we're going on dates. Little do you know,
- 40:08Speaker 2: I'm taking notes. Okay, you can bowl. Okay, you don't
- 40:12Speaker 2: really have any coordination in skating, but I can work
- 40:14Speaker 2: on that.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Come on, Che.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Go to the gym. A gym date? Oh, please.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Take them to the gym on a second date?
- 40:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. First date, Dave and Buster's. Check out coordination.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Let me see how your lateral movement is. That's a... Dio,
- 40:29Speaker 2: you're laughing. That shit is important.
- 40:31Speaker 1: No, it looks good.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Sometimes, listen, some of these guys. No, that's a good point. Yeah,
- 40:34Speaker 2: they date women. Oh, she's so fine. She's on IG Live.
- 40:37Speaker 2: She's fine as hell. Blah, blah, blah. You have a child.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Your child got two left feet, and you wonder why
- 40:42Speaker 2: your child get picked last in PE.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yeah, your child out there, he's swimming in a little circle. Yeah.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Oh, they come home sad. Nobody pick me.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Nah, fuck that.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck that, dog. Yeah. If she can't play kickball,
- 40:55Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Oh, dude.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Because that's a good test of a lot of different
- 40:59Speaker 1: sports at once.
- 40:59Speaker 2: A lot. Run and kick it at the same time.
- 41:02Speaker 2: You know how hard that is to do?
- 41:03Speaker 1: Very tough.
- 41:03Speaker 2: The coordination to be able to run forward and kick
- 41:06Speaker 2: in rhythm.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Yep. That's the fucking Mozart of athletics to me, boy.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Kickball will show you a lot.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Yep. Absolutely.
- 41:14Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. But there's a lot of traps.
- 41:16Speaker 1: A lot of people don't think like that. Because you
- 41:17Speaker 1: have to think, too. So do you think a lot
- 41:21Speaker 1: of men, because I feel like a lot of... Let
- 41:25Speaker 1: me get this right. So in the NFL, they got
- 41:26Speaker 1: a lot of guys, it seems like, who want to
- 41:28Speaker 1: have a lot of children, right? Do you think that
- 41:30Speaker 1: that's true?
- 41:31Speaker 2: No, I think at times.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Like, is that a stereotype? With black community, do they
- 41:37Speaker 1: have a lot of guys who want to have a
- 41:38Speaker 1: lot of children?
- 41:39Speaker 2: Well, there are a lot of white guys, too. They
- 41:40Speaker 2: have a lot of kids as well.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:42Speaker 2: But I think we just get caught up in the
- 41:43Speaker 2: moment most of the time. And I think our counterparts,
- 41:46Speaker 2: on the other hand, they have a little bit more
- 41:51Speaker 2: discipline in that area. But I think they're not as
- 41:54Speaker 2: bad as us, but also there's... What do you mean
- 41:56Speaker 2: our counterparts? I mean, white guys.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Okay, so white guys versus black guys.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I'm not even looking at it like in a... I
- 42:02Speaker 1: guess I am looking at it obviously in culture. Right.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I'm not really looking at it in race, but I'm
- 42:06Speaker 1: looking at it in culture, right? So I'm thinking in
- 42:08Speaker 1: black culture, is it more of a thing to have...
- 42:10Speaker 1: It happens a lot because we get caught up in
- 42:13Speaker 1: the moment. Okay.
- 42:13Speaker 2: We get caught up in the moment. Now, I'm one
- 42:16Speaker 2: who's one of those.
- 42:17Speaker 1: And y'all like to spike the ball, yeah.
- 42:18Speaker 2: But for me... Everything I've done was strategic and not
- 42:21Speaker 2: done on purpose. There was a method to my madness.
- 42:24Speaker 2: There's a method to my, nobody's, I'm not having kids.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Nobody's running to child support and old chat.
- 42:28Speaker 1: No, no.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Because we all had one end goal. You understood what
- 42:32Speaker 2: it was. And I also had kids with people that
- 42:34Speaker 2: I've known before I even made it. So there were
- 42:36Speaker 2: no ulterior motives like most have when you meet them
- 42:39Speaker 2: once you've already had money.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Yeah. So it's different. Yeah, you meet some thought at
- 42:42Speaker 1: an equinox or something.
- 42:43Speaker 2: And you have a child and the first thing you
- 42:45Speaker 2: wonder why things don't work out. Not things most times
- 42:48Speaker 2: don't work out.
- 42:48Speaker 1: But no, it's like, yeah, you don't know who you're,
- 42:50Speaker 1: you don't, you're putting yourself at risk.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Yeah, most definitely.
- 42:52Speaker 1: So you're saying instead of risk, you have more strategy.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, most definitely, most definitely, most definitely.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Yeah, because I just wonder, sometimes I wonder in black culture,
- 42:59Speaker 1: do they view, do black men view the world differently? Like,
- 43:05Speaker 1: is there a, do they view it more as like a,
- 43:07Speaker 1: I'm a king and this is my castle?
- 43:09Speaker 2: Nah, I don't, I don't.
- 43:11Speaker 1: You know, that's just how I wonder sometimes or like, yeah,
- 43:14Speaker 1: like is there strategy sometimes?
- 43:16Speaker 2: Well, I gave you mine.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Right.
- 43:17Speaker 2: And I've always lived by that, no matter who it was.
- 43:20Speaker 2: I don't care how fine you are. I'm not here
- 43:21Speaker 2: to raise models. I want athletes. So, therefore, I'm going
- 43:24Speaker 2: to procreate with those who give me just that. You
- 43:27Speaker 2: might start a little dishonesty. Listen, you'll have fun and
- 43:30Speaker 2: go on dates with those who are not that. But
- 43:35Speaker 2: when it comes to having kids, oh, honey, uh-uh. I
- 43:39Speaker 2: don't care how fine you are.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got a kid. Your kid walking
- 43:43Speaker 1: at three weeks. running yeah for yeah for his first
- 43:49Speaker 1: birthday you get him a hurdle um do you think
- 43:55Speaker 1: what else am i thinking about do you think uh
- 44:01Speaker 1: do you think there's a lot of gay they just
- 44:03Speaker 1: had a guy they were talking about a gay gentleman
- 44:04Speaker 1: in the nfl do you think there's more gay men
- 44:08Speaker 1: in the nfl that we just don't know about absolutely and.
- 44:11Speaker 2: They're afraid to say they probably don't want to make
- 44:13Speaker 2: every make People are uncomfortable.
- 44:15Speaker 1: And the media will make it a big deal, yeah.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely. I'm sure it is. I'm sure it is.
- 44:19Speaker 2: And listen, I wouldn't have a problem with it, you know,
- 44:22Speaker 2: because I'd be the one making jokes.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Oh.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, I'd be the one making jokes. I don't
- 44:27Speaker 2: care what you are, gay, trans, ABC. I don't care.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I'm accepting of all. Yeah. And I would have time.
- 44:33Speaker 1: But, yeah, I'm still kind of caught up on them.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 44:37Speaker 1: And it's probably for the best because if you get
- 44:39Speaker 1: some good jokes going, that's the thing about joking all
- 44:41Speaker 1: the time. It's like they tried to make joking a
- 44:43Speaker 1: crime over the past, like, 10 years.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Everybody's very sensitive.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Yeah. That's one reason I like AB is because he
- 44:50Speaker 1: just– you know, in his heart that he probably doesn't
- 44:54Speaker 1: have a lot of malice in that world. Right. But
- 44:57Speaker 1: he likes to have fun. You know, that's one thing
- 44:59Speaker 1: I think that black culture does better than white culture
- 45:01Speaker 1: does is tell jokes. If you get around and you
- 45:05Speaker 1: start clowning on somebody, but you're right there with them,
- 45:07Speaker 1: they know you were supported. Yeah. But man, that's it.
- 45:11Speaker 1: And then, you know, the next bullet is coming. The
- 45:13Speaker 1: next time they get a chance, it's coming for you. Yeah.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Most definitely.
- 45:17Speaker 1: That's the most fun, dude.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I don't, I don't know why, why people are, uh, they, they,
- 45:21Speaker 2: Call it homophobic, you know, I think. And I think
- 45:25Speaker 2: that's one of the reasons a lot of players don't
- 45:26Speaker 2: want to come out, you know, or people in general
- 45:28Speaker 2: that might swing the other way. I mean, shoot, fuck it.
- 45:32Speaker 2: It's who you live in your truth.
- 45:34Speaker 1: And plus, they got some gangster gay dudes out there now, bro.
- 45:37Speaker 1: It's not like the gay dudes 20 years ago.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Everybody was feminine.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Nah.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they was hot or whatever. Drawing a rainbow bride
- 45:45Speaker 2: or something. They got gay dudes to beat your ass.
- 45:47Speaker 1: God. Literally.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Literally. Literally, listen, I've always been fond of that community.
- 45:52Speaker 2: They've always showed love to me, and I've always showed
- 45:53Speaker 2: love back.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, they got some severe gay dudes. There's a
- 45:57Speaker 1: song right there by Eves. I didn't know they had
- 46:13Speaker 1: this song.
- 46:13Speaker 2: I never heard this.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Who sings that? That's great.
- 46:17Speaker 2: This is crazy. It's funny, especially where we are in
- 46:25Speaker 2: the world right now, that some people, based on occupation
- 46:28Speaker 2: and based on what you do, you really can't come
- 46:30Speaker 2: out because it can jeopardize what you have going on.
- 46:33Speaker 1: But it feels like the only place that is kind of, well,
- 46:34Speaker 1: maybe there's, I'm sure there's probably like some like, probably
- 46:38Speaker 1: farming communities, like, you know, I bet there's probably farming
- 46:43Speaker 1: communities and maybe athletics, but I don't know. In women's athletics,
- 46:47Speaker 1: it's accepted.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Oh, it's accepted, yeah.
- 46:49Speaker 1: It's probably just in men's athletics. Do you think that
- 46:51Speaker 1: there's a, if you took the gay players from all
- 46:55Speaker 1: the teams, do you think you could make a gay
- 46:57Speaker 1: team in the NFL?
- 46:58Speaker 2: No, probably not.
- 46:59Speaker 1: So you don't think there's enough gay men to make
- 47:00Speaker 1: a team?
- 47:00Speaker 2: No, no, not that many.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Which division do you think in the NFL probably have
- 47:04Speaker 1: the most gay players?
- 47:05Speaker 2: I have no idea. That's a good one. I have
- 47:07Speaker 2: no idea because I don't know everybody's preference.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Right, but if you had to guess, even just by
- 47:11Speaker 1: looking at some... Let's pull up the....
- 47:15Speaker 2: That's the funny thing about it. You can't look at
- 47:17Speaker 2: somebody and tell.
- 47:17Speaker 1: No, you can't, but I'm just saying, look at some
- 47:19Speaker 1: of these records, though. The Cowboys.
- 47:23Speaker 2: That's last year?
- 47:23Speaker 1: No. Oh, okay.
- 47:27Speaker 2: That's a good one. I mean, to be able to
- 47:30Speaker 2: statistically rate how many people would be, you would never know.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Right, you would never know. But it's fun to guess
- 47:37Speaker 1: with your friends. But I will say this. I think
- 47:42Speaker 1: it would be great if they had a gay team.
- 47:44Speaker 2: You think so?
- 47:46Speaker 1: Yeah, because you know how many people would support them?
- 47:49Speaker 2: Oh, it would be huge.
- 47:50Speaker 1: People always want the underdog, right? They always want the underdog.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Would they really be the underdog?
- 47:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 47:56Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Would they really be the underdog?
- 47:58Speaker 1: Right, but I think they would be billed as the underdog.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Right, just in general.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Right, in general. That's a good point. That's a fair statement.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Would they actually physically and capability be the underdog? No,
- 48:08Speaker 1: we have no idea. Right. Because we don't know what
- 48:11Speaker 1: the team is, but I think they would get billed
- 48:14Speaker 1: as this underdog, which would give them a chip on
- 48:16Speaker 1: their shoulder type of mentality. Right. I think it's one
- 48:19Speaker 1: of the same reasons why you see like.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Oh, they have a national gay football league.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Oh, they got a squad already. I'm telling you, bro,
- 48:25Speaker 1: we're getting close. And everybody throw with their left arm
- 48:31Speaker 1: in that thing, boy. God, look at that.
- 48:34Speaker 2: I didn't know they had that.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Oh, I bet that's hype. Dude, I went to the
- 48:43Speaker 1: women's lingerie bowl one time.
- 48:47Speaker 2: I remember lingerie football used to be huge.
- 48:49Speaker 1: They hit each other.
- 48:51Speaker 2: They go crazy. I've seen some of the clips on Twitter.
- 48:53Speaker 1: And they were beautiful, too.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Gosh. Yeah. I like the outfits.
- 48:59Speaker 1: God, yeah.
- 48:59Speaker 2: I like the outfits.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Shoulder pads, legs, breasts, knees, everything. Head, arms.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 49:05Speaker 1: God, that shit was nice. Yeah, right here.
- 49:10Speaker 2: And they talk a lot of trash.
- 49:12Speaker 1: They talk a lot of shit right there. They be like, bitch,
- 49:15Speaker 1: I'm going to knock your ovaries out. Gangsta shit like that.
- 49:20Speaker 2: This is dope.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I'm going to knock your nipples off that say shit
- 49:24Speaker 1: like that.
- 49:26Speaker 2: I want to do, they don't have this anymore, huh?
- 49:28Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Have you ever considered investing in a type of athletic league?
- 49:34Speaker 2: Nah, nah.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Mm-mm.
- 49:37Speaker 2: No, I will stick to the things I know, and
- 49:39Speaker 2: that is cigars.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Cigars and kids. Those are my investments.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Okay. Do you think they have... One last question on
- 49:48Speaker 1: gay players. Do you think they got enough... Ocho, tell
- 49:50Speaker 1: me this. Do you think they got enough gay players
- 49:54Speaker 1: in the NFL to beat the Jets? Be real with me, Ocho.
- 50:02Speaker 2: I have no idea. You would have to go by position.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Is there.
- 50:07Speaker 2: one gay player to each position that is one of
- 50:09Speaker 2: the best in the game at their position. But even then,
- 50:14Speaker 2: I'm not sure. The Jets obviously looked bad last year.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Ain't no telling. Ain't no telling how they're going to
- 50:20Speaker 2: be this year now that they have a quarterback in
- 50:22Speaker 2: Justin Fields. So we'll see what happens. That's a good question.
- 50:25Speaker 1: I would like to see that game.
- 50:26Speaker 2: I like that hypothetical.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Thank you, sir. I would love to see that. And
- 50:29Speaker 1: who would I even cheer for now? I would cheer
- 50:31Speaker 1: for the gay team.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I probably would too.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I'd be out there. Shit, I would coach him.
- 50:36Speaker 1: I waterboy them dogs. I'd be out there waterboying, dude.
- 50:40Speaker 1: We got a little bit of zest sauce for everybody
- 50:43Speaker 1: in the huddle. How tough is it for a player
- 50:47Speaker 1: if you're going to a new team, if you know
- 50:49Speaker 1: that the quarterback hasn't had a ton of success? Is
- 50:52Speaker 1: that a tough spot to be in? How do you
- 50:53Speaker 1: manage your expectations? Like, you know, you're going to a
- 50:57Speaker 1: team where, you know, maybe you leave in a team
- 51:00Speaker 1: that had like a Drew Brees or a Tom Brady, right?
- 51:02Speaker 1: And you know the balls are coming, right? And you
- 51:04Speaker 1: know they're going to be in a vicinity where you
- 51:06Speaker 1: can catch them. And you know there's going to be
- 51:08Speaker 1: 30 passes a game. And then you get into a
- 51:11Speaker 1: spot where you're at a quarterback that's going to throw
- 51:15Speaker 1: 22 passes a game, and he's maybe going to get
- 51:17Speaker 1: 170 yards out of 140 yards.
- 51:20Speaker 2: It all depends on the quarterback and the offense you
- 51:22Speaker 2: go to and how much they're going to use you.
- 51:25Speaker 2: It's all about how good you are. Obviously, if you're
- 51:27Speaker 2: going to another team, most of the time you're not
- 51:30Speaker 2: who you thought you were. Most of the time.
- 51:34Speaker 1: So you have to think about that. If you weren't
- 51:36Speaker 1: regarded that much that they are keeping you, you're not
- 51:38Speaker 1: who you thought you were.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Unless you're on the back end of your career. Normally,
- 51:42Speaker 2: once a player hits year 10, they move on from
- 51:45Speaker 2: regards to who you are, no matter how good you are.
- 51:47Speaker 2: You know, Jerry Rice, T.O., Randy Moss. At some point,
- 51:50Speaker 2: teams even moved on from them. And we talk about
- 51:52Speaker 2: some of the greats ever. But when it happens early,
- 51:55Speaker 2: you know, you're in year three or year four, it
- 51:59Speaker 2: is time to look in the mirror.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:01Speaker 2: And say, how can I make myself more valuable if
- 52:05Speaker 2: they were willing to move on from me?
- 52:08Speaker 1: And what are ways you think that players can do that? Like,
- 52:10Speaker 1: what can you do to make yourself?
- 52:11Speaker 2: You got to work on your craft. You got to
- 52:13Speaker 2: work on your craft. There are players coming in year
- 52:16Speaker 2: in and year out, always. But how can I continue
- 52:19Speaker 2: to make sure my value stays at a high level
- 52:23Speaker 2: to where no matter who's coming out, you won't be
- 52:25Speaker 2: able to get this kind of production from anyone else.
- 52:29Speaker 2: And that's the fight. Every year, you got somebody coming
- 52:32Speaker 2: behind you.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Dads are mysterious creatures. I think that's undeniable. One moment,
- 52:39Speaker 1: they're rewiring the lawnmower with duct tape and old shoelaces.
- 52:43Speaker 1: And the next, they're trimming their nose hairs with a
- 52:46Speaker 1: pocket knife in the rearview mirror. Way to go, Dad.
- 52:50Speaker 1: They say they don't want anything, but trust me, what
- 52:53Speaker 1: they need is a grooming upgrade. So this year, instead
- 52:57Speaker 1: of getting your father a world's best dad mug... He's
- 53:01Speaker 1: just going to use to collect screws. Step it up

- 54:05Speaker 1: had them. We all need help. If you know something's off,
- 54:08Speaker 1: get some help because that's how it gets bad. People

- 55:05Speaker 1: And we thank BetterHelp for supporting the podcast. Yeah, I'm
- 55:10Speaker 1: friends with Jordan Matthews. He played for the Philadelphia, and
- 55:12Speaker 1: now he played for Carolina, and he's getting into later
- 55:15Speaker 1: years of his career. But it's interesting to see him
- 55:17Speaker 1: go there, and now he's a little bit more of
- 55:19Speaker 1: a leadership role. Right. lead by example, show up, like
- 55:22Speaker 1: J-Matt shows up every day, you know, great attitude, great energy,
- 55:26Speaker 1: but it's just interesting to see what happens to guys
- 55:27Speaker 1: as they get later in their career and how do
- 55:29Speaker 1: they still make themselves valuable.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Yeah, in other ways.
- 55:33Speaker 1: To a squad, you know?
- 55:33Speaker 2: In other ways outside of production.
- 55:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and you believe that?
- 55:37Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. Veteran leadership, you know, around a bunch
- 55:40Speaker 2: of young guys, someone that conducts themselves the right way
- 55:43Speaker 2: in the locker room, a good locker room presence can
- 55:46Speaker 2: carry you on an extra two or.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Three years in the NFL. So that's not a myth.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Oh no, absolutely. They, you know, coaches like that, coaches
- 55:52Speaker 2: like that, a good guy, clean guy, uh, one that,
- 55:55Speaker 2: you know, not going to have any problems. He's going
- 55:57Speaker 2: to show the young dudes on how to work, how
- 55:59Speaker 2: to work on your craft and approach and study, study
- 56:02Speaker 2: film and stuff like that. That's very valuable outside of production.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Amen. Do you think when you look at your career,
- 56:09Speaker 1: do you think you could have operated differently in some
- 56:12Speaker 1: years to get, have gotten more out of yourself? Right.
- 56:14Speaker 1: We all look, you know, cause I'm critical of myself, right?
- 56:17Speaker 1: You know, I look back and I want the to
- 56:19Speaker 1: do the best I can, even though I don't know
- 56:20Speaker 1: what it is sometimes, but I want to do my best.
- 56:22Speaker 1: And sometimes I'll look at certain interviews. Like I interviewed
- 56:25Speaker 1: Mark Zuckerberg a couple weeks ago from the Facebook guy,
- 56:29Speaker 1: you know?
- 56:29Speaker 2: Right, right, right, right.
- 56:30Speaker 1: And I like, I should have done, I knew I
- 56:33Speaker 1: could have done better. I think I had like a
- 56:35Speaker 1: little bit of a plan, but I think I got nervous.
- 56:37Speaker 1: And so when I look back on that, I'm like, man,
- 56:39Speaker 1: I wish I would have asked some things that were
- 56:41Speaker 1: more important. Right. Things I really wanted to ask, but
- 56:43Speaker 1: I was afraid to. Right. Do you look back in
- 56:47Speaker 1: certain years of your career and you're like, Yeah, I
- 56:48Speaker 1: could have done some things differently at this time. Either
- 56:50Speaker 1: I was younger or I was.
- 56:51Speaker 2: I mean, when I look back at my career, I
- 56:53Speaker 2: would have done everything I did plus more. Because I
- 56:56Speaker 2: had some great ideas that I didn't get a chance
- 56:58Speaker 2: to do. You know?
- 57:00Speaker 1: Like, what do you mean by that?
- 57:01Speaker 2: I mean, just the fun. The fun. I would have
- 57:04Speaker 2: pushed the envelope even more.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Really just having a good time?
- 57:07Speaker 2: Having a good time. Because, listen, the NFL is not
- 57:09Speaker 2: for long. And I had a short window to maximize
- 57:13Speaker 2: as much as I could out of myself and out
- 57:15Speaker 2: of the NFL. And I did just that, which is
- 57:18Speaker 2: one of the reasons why I'm still going to this day,
- 57:20Speaker 2: pushing forward.
- 57:21Speaker 1: But looking back, you're like, man, if I'd have known
- 57:24Speaker 1: what I know now, if I'd have known then what
- 57:26Speaker 1: I know now, then I could have done even more, right? Yeah,
- 57:29Speaker 1: most definitely. Like, is that what you mean? Or do
- 57:31Speaker 1: you mean like physically training more?
- 57:33Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, just my approach to the game
- 57:35Speaker 2: in general, just on-field stuff.
- 57:37Speaker 1: So do you feel like your attitude was different at
- 57:39Speaker 1: certain years?
- 57:40Speaker 2: No, I was the same always. I was always authentic
- 57:42Speaker 2: with myself. What you see right now off camera or
- 57:45Speaker 2: on camera, it's the same way I was on field.
- 57:48Speaker 2: That wasn't a character. That was really me. And I
- 57:51Speaker 2: just chose not to conform and not to behave the
- 57:54Speaker 2: way they said I should. The way I played in
- 57:56Speaker 2: the NFL, the same way I played when I was
- 57:58Speaker 2: in high school. The same way I played when I
- 57:59Speaker 2: was in Pop Warner. Just because you paid me millions
- 58:02Speaker 2: of dollars, I'm not changing who I am just for that.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Absolutely not.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Did you ever have teams try to tell you to pipe?
- 58:09Speaker 2: No, they loved it.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Never?
- 58:10Speaker 2: They loved it. The referees loved it. Opposing teams, coaches
- 58:13Speaker 2: loved it. Opposing teams, players loved it. Everything I did.
- 58:16Speaker 1: I could see that because there's kind of a thing
- 58:18Speaker 1: like even if somebody's the enemy, if they're an enjoyable enemy,
- 58:22Speaker 1: you're kind of just thankful to have somebody around that's
- 58:25Speaker 1: going to keep you entertained, that's going to keep things fun.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Not only entertainment, but what I brought to the game
- 58:31Speaker 2: and those I'm playing against, it was nothing but a
- 58:34Speaker 2: competitive nature. Nothing I did was malicious.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:37Speaker 2: But you knew one thing. If we playing Ocho or
- 58:40Speaker 2: we playing the Bengals in general, I got to come
- 58:42Speaker 2: to play. Yeah. Because I'm going to challenge you during
- 58:43Speaker 2: the week through the media.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:45Speaker 2: I sent gifts to the defenses we were playing, to
- 58:48Speaker 2: the secondaries, just to make it fun.
- 58:51Speaker 1: What kind of stuff? Like high heels or something? No, no.
- 58:54Speaker 2: I sent Pepto Bismol to the Browns. I sent.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Oh, because you're about to deal with this shit, huh?
- 58:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to make you sick to your stomach.
- 59:02Speaker 2: I sent gifts to the Falcons before. Who else? The Steelers.
- 59:05Speaker 2: I sent them some just fun, man, just fun stuff.
- 59:09Speaker 2: And they would always get the packages Saturday morning. Look.
- 59:13Speaker 1: They're opening their packages, bro. Bro, you're like a fucking
- 59:19Speaker 1: dangerous Santa.
- 59:21Speaker 2: I was going to make them sick, or they were
- 59:23Speaker 2: going to get sick of covering me, so here's some
- 59:24Speaker 2: Pepto ahead of time.
- 59:27Speaker 1: All fun. That's hilarious. Do you think that kind of
- 59:30Speaker 1: stuff can really affect a defense, you think? Just their mentality?
- 59:33Speaker 2: What do you think it really does? It messes them
- 59:35Speaker 2: up because if you go out there and you're trying
- 59:37Speaker 2: to kill me, that lets me know you're out of control.
- 59:40Speaker 2: You're out of control. So I do stuff like that.
- 59:43Speaker 2: I like to play mental gymnastics. If I can get
- 59:47Speaker 2: you out of your game, if I can get you
- 59:48Speaker 2: talking to me in the middle of a game, I
- 59:50Speaker 2: got a little edge on you. A little edge on you.
- 59:52Speaker 2: I did that small edge. Because if you're.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Worried about me personally, you're not worried about me as
- 59:56Speaker 1: a player.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Bingo. And you're not worried about the game in general
- 59:59Speaker 2: as a whole itself.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Damn. Dude, stuff like that is so true. It's like,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: because when you say if you look back on a
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: moment in your life and you're like, damn. could have
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: been a little bit more locked in or I'll let
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: this get me a little. And it did affect me.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: And that happens.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: So then if you think that of a head that way,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: you think if I can cause that to them and
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: I know that that outcome really occurs, then that, then
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: that me causing that is worthwhile.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: That's so true.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: The funny thing about it is, is being out of
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: control and trying to hurt an individual that you're playing against,
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: which is what happened to me every game. I had
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: no problem because I enjoyed playing very calm, Under chaos.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: So you're going to be chaotic.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: I'm going to be nice and relaxed and calm. And
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: you being angry, that split second of anger, you're going
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: to miss. You're going to whiff. You know, the game
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: of football is a game of inches. Yeah. And once
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: I know I'm in your head, I'm going to always
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: have that half inch over you. Every time.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Who hit you the hardest when you were playing, do
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: you feel like?
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Brian Russell.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Brian Russell?
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Brian Russell. Cleveland Browns, garbage time. Carson threw a slant
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: over the middle. Game is over. There was no reason
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I was supposed to be in the game. And I
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: was knocked out. Watch this. Up top. All the way
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: up top. Ooh.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: And that is the one hit I took and was concussed. Yeah.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: And did he even call your email yet?
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: No. He did nothing. It was good. I enjoyed it.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: You see the score line, huh?
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: 34-10.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Why am I even in the game? And it's, what,
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: a minute going to clock.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: But real talk, though, if they'd have taken you out
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: of the game at this point, would you have been upset?
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Do you guys want to be in there getting stats?
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Or what's it really like?
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: You know, I don't know why we were in the
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: game at that point. I'm not sure. That game was over. Obviously,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: the Battle of Ohio, one of the biggest games for us.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Oh, that's a good point. People came. Maybe they don't
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: want to see the stars the whole time. Yeah. Was
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: there a quarterback that you– do you feel like you
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: got the best opportunity with your quarterback? Yeah.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Carson? Yeah.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: I just don't know. You don't know if people are
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: sitting there thinking, like, And whoever the quarterback is didn't matter.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: You don't think so? No. Because I'm coming in and
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: my skill set was at a point and how I
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: felt was I'm going to make your job easy. Bob
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Rakowski was the golf coordinator. When we played, I'm making
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: your job easy. If you know you need to play
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: and you need a catch or you need a whatever
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: it may be, you know who's number to call.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: That's my mindset. Like, I don't need you to be
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: great throwing the ball. Just put it in the area.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Just anywhere in the area. I'll take it. I'll take
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: it at rest.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Do you think players sometimes, like at the end of games,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: they're like asking coaches, hey, give me, trade for me
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: or something like that? People secretly like you.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that happens all the time. Now, that happens all
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: the time.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: So people say it quick in that quick little hug. Hey,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: trade me. Trade for me, yeah, absolutely. Trade for me,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: trade for me. Damn, because you wonder, them hugs are fast,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: but sometimes you see their mouth moving.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why you see players always cover their mouth.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: But it's hard now because everybody's mic'd up.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Everybody's mic'd up. So, yeah, that happens, though. That's a
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: good one.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Do you feel like it's a... I wish I had
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: me a cigar. I would try one, man. I should
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: have got one. If I catch up with you this weekend,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: I'll get Elliot one.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: You have your own brand? Yeah, 85, remember?
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't... Bring them up.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Let me get a look. Let me get a gander
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: at them dogs right there. And where do y'all get that...
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Where do y'all get the... DR.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Dominican Republic.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: In the DR. Not lettuce. What's it called? Nicotine lettuce.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: The leaf. Tobacco.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Tobacco. Yeah.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: In DR. Now we do mass production.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Y'all get down there in Dominican Republic, huh?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Now we distribute from Nicaragua now.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Really? Yeah. That's where my dad's from, man. For real?
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: That's dope. That's dope.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: That's crazy, bro.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Wow. What are the odds of that, man? Boa Vidas. Mm-hmm.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: The good life, baby.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Do you think, is this a make or break year
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: for Joe Burrow? Tell me what you think. What do
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you think, Ocho?
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: No, not make or break.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Fuck no. You don't think so?
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: No, absolutely not. Make or break what? He ain't going nowhere.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: He ain't going nowhere.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: But in the perception of, maybe in the perception of fans,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: you think it's, you know, they got a great offense,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Crazy offense. I agree.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: So at that point, if you're going to give up
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: 35 points, you've got to be able to score 40 points.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Bingo. I'm glad you said that. Now what we do
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: need to do is we need to start fast. We
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: just start early, you know, in the beginning of the season.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: You know, losing to the Patriots the way we did
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: in the beginning of the season, it hurt us on
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: the back end. We need to start fast. We don't
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: have to round other teams to lose or win. Of course,
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: they have an opportunity to get into the playoffs. Nobody
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: wants to see us offensively if we make it into
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: the playoffs. Ravens, very good. Bills, very good. Chiefs, very good.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: And that will always be the three or four teams
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: that are in the hunt every seasons.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: Who's a team you think coming this year might actually
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: have a, that's going to be something different, do you think?
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good one. That's a good one. There's
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: always a surprise team every year.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Because I'm a Saints guy. The Saints started off last year,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: they had two big games out of the gate. They
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: beat Dallas by 30. They scored over 40 the first
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: two games.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: And then it went bad.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I mean, it went so sour.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: So I have no idea. And it's hard to tell.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: You have some special players that have gotten drafted. So
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: we're going to see how they can impact the game
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: early and impact that team in general.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: So I'm curious. I'm excited to see what Travis Hunter
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: does in Jacksonville. I'm excited to see what Abdul Carter does.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Jackson Dart, who is over in New York now. He's
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: with the Giants, right? Yeah, yeah. He'll probably sit down
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: and Russell will be at the helm.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: That's going to be a pressuresome market over there. But
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: it'll be interesting because Russell, you don't really know how
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: it's going to go. Yeah.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but listen, they got Malik Nabors, so they're going
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: to be all right.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: LSU got Washington Commanders right there. I'm excited for them, man.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: They're going to always be in the hunt every year.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Every football team in the NFL is a quarterback away
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: from being in contention year in and year out. The
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Commanders have their quarterback for the next decade.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Why is it so hard to have, because you usually
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: have about six, seven teams, eight teams that have good quarterbacks, right?
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: The quarterback does well that year. Why is it so
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: hard to have that position be good?
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Well, it's hard to find a quarterback that's good.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: But it's crazy. There's a ton of– it's like.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's not a
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: ton of quarterbacks. You have tier ones. You know, your
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: tier one quarterbacks are hard to come by. Right, but
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: you have 200 NCAA team, and you have a lot
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: of guys that can play quarterback. They're not that good.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: They're not that good. There's a reason why. You know,
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: your Patrick Mahomes, your Joe Burrows, Lamar Jackson, your Josh Allens.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Jordan Love. Justin Herbert and Trevor
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: Lawrence should be in that conversation.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: C.J. Stroud, maybe? C.J. Stroud. You got guys that are
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: right there in that second range.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Those are tier one quarterbacks or should be based
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: on their talent. But I don't know.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: But then you get a guy like Andy Dalton. He's
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: a game manager. He does a good job, right? Yeah.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: But never can kind of get over that. That hump.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: That's like nine and seven or six and eight. He
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: never can really. It just kind of amazed me sometimes.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I'm like, you'd think that they would just try to
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: put anybody in there, give them a shot.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Nah, it doesn't work that way. You put anybody in there,
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: you'll be home. You put anybody in there, that's how
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: coaches get fired.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: You're getting fired.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Do you ever think of coaching and getting into it?
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Absolutely not.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: No? No.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: They don't pay enough. And I make more now doing
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: what I'm doing. I make more now than when I
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: was playing.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Damn.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: So I'm good.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: And that's such a blessing because, dude, a lot of guys,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: their career is hard enough to get out of college,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: get on an NFL team. And then that is huge
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: for those guys. Get the bread while you can get there.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: But then to have a career after that. It's like
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: I'm looking at the Bustin' with the Boys guys, like
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Taylor LeJuan and Will Compton. They got in early. They
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: have a great space now. They have a real imprint
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: in society.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: Yeah, they do. They're doing really well.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: It's cool to see that kind of stuff.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: McAfee did well with his as well.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Oh, dude, yeah. Nobody's like him.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: There's nobody like him, man. Yeah, I'm trying to think
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: of what else is going on, man. That's interesting to
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: create a family based on I'm building for success, right?
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Is it hard to manage that big of a family
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: with that many children? What's that like, really?
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: No, I run a tight ship. I run a tight ship.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Those I have kids from, we have the same end goal.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: got the same angle and those i have kids from
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: awesome mothers awesome mothers no issues no nothing.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: How do you pick a good mother then that's an
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: even that's an important question i think because a lot
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: of people they'll just you know i don't ever do
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: no ejaculation inside of women in my life.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: You know you'll never know you know that what a
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: good mother is but those that have kids.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Oh, you don't think you can tell? There's no way
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to tell. It's impossible. Well, I'm just saying, if you
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: meet a lady and they're a good lady.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: I mean, being a good lady doesn't mean you'll be
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: a good mother.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: And I only date women that already have kids.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: You can take that kid off to the side and say, hey, man,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: what place y'all calling around here?
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: It's just weird. What's the defense she's running? You got
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: to have two or more kids.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: God, that's a thing.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to. Because, I mean, for me, dating
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: a woman with no kids, they never have fucking food
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: at home.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: They always want to go out to eat.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: You know what it's like? Now, Theo, I don't know
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: if you experienced this, but you know what it's like
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: to have sex with someone that has kids and wake
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: up at 3, 3.30 in the morning and get a
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: fucking Capri Sun?
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. That's good. Oh, bro.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: That's fucking amazing.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Bro, with half a mouthful of Lunchable, I'll make love
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: all night. Yes. See, that's what I'm talking about. That's
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: who I am, boy. With a jaw full of them
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: little shake, little hands, them ham.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: That's important to me.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: God, I love that.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: Having snacks in the pantry.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: That's good, dude. Because you kind of get to be
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: a kid and a husband at the same time in
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: a way. Bingo, yeah. That's interesting.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Those are my rules. Everyone, some people, oh, she has kids.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Oh, and if you wake up in the middle of
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: the night, you can play video games, too.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: Oh, my God. We on the same page. That's what
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: it's all about.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: You wake the kid up. I'll go in another room,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: wake a little fucking... Little Randall up.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: Hey, let's run Call of Duty real quick.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Randall, get up.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Let's go do it. Let's run duos.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I have school tomorrow. I love it. You about to
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: get schooled right now, motherfucker.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: I love it. Let's do it. I love it. Especially
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: if she has older kids. Yeah. Oh, that's perfect. Oh,
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: that's perfect.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Dang, that's a great point.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, that's just me. Everyone else's thought process
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: and approach to dealing with women isn't like mine. Yeah.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: That's fine. That's fine.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Well, yeah, a lot of people, yeah, they just, but
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: it's risky out there. I think having some strategy as
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: to what you do with your own seed is important.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: Very.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Did you, you mentioned that your grandmother raised you?
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, grandma.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: What was your, so did you, did your grandma raise
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: your siblings too or just you?
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: No, it was just me. And my brother was raised
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: with my mom.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: That's how I ended up in LA. My mom was
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: in LA at the time. And so my grandma, after
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: I graduated high school, I went to Langston University. Yeah,
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: NAIA school in Oklahoma. And I got thrown out for fighting.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: So I went back to Miami after getting expelled. And
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: my grandma was like, listen, I've done all I can
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: with you. I washed my hands. Damn, you was in
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: a bad spot? Yeah, that's how I ended up in
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: LA at Santa Monica.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Why, was your attitude bad?
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: No, I just liked to fight.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: You liked to fight?
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Unfortunately.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Fist fighting?
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I liked fist fighting. Like, I'm going to beat
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: James Harrison ass.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: You fighting him?
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: James Harrison from Pittsburgh Steelers?
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to fuck him up.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I thought he passed away, man.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: He's okay.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: Yeah, he's alive and well.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Bring up a picture of him. Well, not for long
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: once you get him up.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Bring up a picture of him. Doesn't he have a
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: child named, I thought he had a son that played
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: James Harrison. Yeah, he's a coach, isn't he?
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: No, no, no, no. He's not a coach.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Oh, no, he ain't a coach. God, he doing calendar work. Yeah.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: God damn, he on fucking OnlyFans. Look at this shit
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: over here.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's Devo. That's Devo.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: God, he going near his cage.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: God dang, they fucking.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, he's huge.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: He's a junkyard dog.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: He looks intimidating, doesn't he?
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Yes, he does.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't give a fuck.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: You really going to fight him?
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Fuck him up.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: God, I'll stand. I'll coach you, bro.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be good.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I'll do your water in the back. I'll put ice
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: on your neck.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: Yeah, very good friend of mine. But, you know, sometimes
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: you got to come to feel it.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Hey, look.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Sometimes you got to establish dominance as a little man.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Sometimes it is what it is.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: That's a boy.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: And why are y'all fighting? Y'all are upset with each other?
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: I just don't like his face. It's punchable.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. He does.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: He has a punchable face.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Bring up another picture of that punchable man. God damn, bro. Now,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I wouldn't hit this guy. Bring up the other pitcher.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Go back to the other one. Yeah, not this guy.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Wow. Yeah, he's huge, right?
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: And are y'all fighting just for fun?
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: No, MMA style. Oh, y'all doing MMA? Yeah, he can kick.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: He can do whatever he wants.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Did you go to the fight? Are you going to
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: the fight that's coming up here? Or they just had
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: one here?
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they did. I wasn't here. I was
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: out of town working.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Do you like to go to them?
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I like it. I'm a boxing fan more. I
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: can't believe we haven't seen each other in a while.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: I like boxing better.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: And who's this, James Harrison?
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: No, that's my crazy ass in there boxing.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Oh, that's you?
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Oh, so you really like it, huh?
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I remember this was fun. Who is this against?
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: Brian Maxwell. He does, Brian Maxwell does bare knuckle boxing.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: He's a good friend of mine.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Dang. What's tough about boxing, man, that people don't realize?
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: Conditioning. Conditioning. You've got to be well conditioned. And for this,
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: I only had two weeks to get ready. And since then,
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: I think that was in 2021, if I'm not mistaken.
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: And I've been training since. Just having fun.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Could you fight a guy like, you couldn't fight Jake Paul, though.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: I think the weight class is, he's so much, so
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: much bigger.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Oh, he's heavy.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, he's heavy.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: He's a heavy guy.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: I'm only, I'm, but maybe now, and put on a
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: little size, I'm about maybe 190.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Who's somebody you would challenge out there then? Who's like
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: a real, I'm trying to think of somebody.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: I just want to fight Deebo. I just want to
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: fight James.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Well, he's willing to do it, isn't he?
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we're going to do it.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Who can I see?
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: Then we're going to be friends after.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah, dude. I remember when I was
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: in school. you got in a fight, the principal, they
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: made you stand in the hall. And you had to
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: put your hands on the shoulder of the person you fought.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: And so y'all had to be, by the end of
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: the day, y'all were friends because you were right here.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: The whole time.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: And the other kids would get out of class and
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: have to walk by. And so by the end, this
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: person became your, you had to get over whatever it
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: was because you had to be right there next to
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: each other.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: I like that.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: What's a part that you miss about playing? I mean,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I know it's kind of a general question. What's something
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: you miss about playing that people wouldn't even think about?
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: For me, it was competing in practice.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Even just in practice was fun, huh?
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: I miss it. I miss competing in practice. That's what's difficult.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: The games on Sunday, that's fun. That's the easy part.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: Practice and competing. Preparation. I miss that. I miss watching film.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: I really do. I miss watching film, especially on defenses
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: and defensive backs and knowing what they were going to
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: do before it even happened. I knew it was coming.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Whether it be down in distance, first down, second down,
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: third down, all that shifting in motion that they like
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: to do, playing around in the secondary. I know what
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: you're doing before you even do it. And I miss that.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: I miss being prepared. So the entertainment value I bought
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: was only done because I studied to a T. I
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: studied to a T. You know, it's not like I'm
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: just getting up out there.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: So you weren't out there just goofing around?
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: No. It looks like it. There's no way to have
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: that kind of success without studying hard, without knowing what
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: I'm doing. Or knowing what you're doing before I even
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: go do it.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: What do you think the NFL could do differently now
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: to make it more exciting? Or to make it a
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: better product, if anything.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: I mean, listen, it is the best product. There's really
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: nothing else.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Do you think so? I think the NFL's going down, man. No.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: I don't think it's, I think people like college better. Hell,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: some people like damn WNBA better. I don't like, absolutely not.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Some people do, some young men do.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: A couple guys do.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Yeah, the NFL will always be the cream of the crop.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: You think so? Always. I don't know, there's something about
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: it sometimes. I don't know if, The field should be bigger.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: I don't know what should happen. Sometimes I feel like
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: the guys have almost gotten too fast. I feel like
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: sometimes with the running backs is what I do feel like.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: You don't get to see enough good moves because there's
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: not enough space for them to do them in because
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: everybody's so fast now. Yeah. I don't know if that's
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: true or not, but I feel that way sometimes. I
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: don't know if you could have a Barry Sanders now,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: not because you couldn't have the same guy.
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: No, you could. You just will never have another Barry Sanders.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: That ain't happening.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: That might be fair.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: That is not happening. Absolutely not.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: That might be fair.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: Not even close.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it just looked like the, you know, like it
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: used to be once you got around the defensive end
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: wasn't going to get out there to get you.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Well, you know, most of the time players back then
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: were not as fast. Now we have, you know, D linemen,
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: even D tackles that run in four or five.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Right, but I'm saying does that make it tougher for
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: somebody's backs to get out of the backfield?
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: No, not at all. You just have to be that
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: much better.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: You got to be that much better.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm wondering why sometimes it feels like it's not
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: the same as it used to be. It's amazing. I'm
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: not saying that. I'm not saying that the guys aren't
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: extremely talented there. But sometimes I just wonder as a fan.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Are you a WNBA fan?
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Me too.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: I had an opportunity to go to my first game
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: in Atlanta.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: You did?
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Yo, that shit was amazing in Atlanta. And the product
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: in general. I don't know all the gripes that people
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: have about the WNBA.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: No, that shit was amazing.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: I'm into it, man.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: The atmosphere from quarter one. The halftime, dude, it felt
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: like I was at the club. And I don't even
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: go to the club. And the first thing I thought
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: about was, wait, is this what it's like when it
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: comes to the nightlife? I really enjoyed it. I really
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: enjoyed it. Yeah, it was nice.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, I had a great time. I went to
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Las Vegas Aces game. Aces game? Yeah.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: It was nice?
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Bro, it's so much fun. I tell my friends if
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: they're in Vegas, like, what show should I go see?
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: I say, if the Aces are playing, go see it.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Go see them, yeah.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: It's just such a, yeah, there's like, people love the game.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: You could tell they really are invested into the game, right? Absolutely.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: And this is when they had Kate Martin. They had
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: the girl who won MVP three years in a row.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: This was when they had Asia Wilson. They still have
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Asia Wilson.
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Asia's still there.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: Yeah. But, dude, it was unbelievable, bro. I had a
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: great time. And we got to sit right, bro. We
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: were playing Dallas Mystic, I think is their name. Their
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: coach was right there, dude. I was chirping them during
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: the game. They were ridiculous, dude.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I love the WNBA, man. I love the product
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: they have on the court. Yeah, I love the product.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I would like to invest in a WNBA team, man.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: I think Miami needs a team.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I think Nashville needs a team.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be nice.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Because it kind of reminds me, I feel like, what
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: you might see with the nba before everybody could dump
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: and i don't mean that in any type of way
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: other than you have to rely on good passing like
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: there's a lot of stuff you have to rely on
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: where the nba doesn't have to rely on it as
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: much anymore right um do you think you can still
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: play or no me yeah fuck no Come on, bro.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: You can't talk yourself up this whole time when you
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: can't even get back out there.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: Obviously, I got to be realistic as well. The mind
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: knows what to do. The mind knows what to do
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: based on years of playing and IQ, on-field IQ. But
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: the body won't react the way I want it to.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Bro, you could play for the Titans.
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: No.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: No.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: You guys got a good one in Calvin Ridley.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Oh, no. I know we have Calvin. Calvin Ridley is
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: one of the best, right? I don't think Atlanta should
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: have let him go. But we could use you over there, man. Yeah.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Even just for the, where we would come to watch
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: you play though.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Now what about that element of it? Has any team
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: reached out to you in later years?
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: Absolutely not. No.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: To say we just to sell tickets.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: Absolutely. I can, I can do that.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: I can fill a stadium up. Well, that's what I'm
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: talking about.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: But not at this day and age. No, but people
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: would love to watch back then. Yes. Yes.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: People would love to watch it. I'm trying to think
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: of something else that we could talk about. Anything you
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: want to talk about?
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: It's on you.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: It's on you.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Thanks, bro. Is it tough, though? Let me think about this. Realistically,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: when you have eight children, you have eight children. Yeah.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: I want two more. You do?
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: I'm probably going to do, is it called IBF? I
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: want twins.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: I want twins and I'm done.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Why? You want twins so that you have to battle
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: two Johnsons on the field at once?
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: No, not really. I just want to end on even numbers.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Okay. Okay. And on a grand finale, you got to
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: end with a big move.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: There we go.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: That two-point conversion.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: I like that. So we'll see what happens. We'll see
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: what happens.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Do you have to pick your children's names or your
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: wife gets to pick them? Whoever I'm dating, the mother
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: gets to pick them.
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, they get to pick.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Really? They get to pick every time? Yeah, of course.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Is that a thing?
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: I don't know. It's just the way I operate. I'm
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: not worried about names.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Really? No. So the mother gets to pick out every
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: one of your children's names. Did she say, hey, what
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: do you think about this name?
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: Yeah, always.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: Okay. And will you sit down and say yes or no?
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: I say whatever you want to do. We're rocking with it.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Wow, bro.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: Yeah, my son. My son graduates from Arizona State.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: He's a Sun Devil? Yeah. He plays football there?
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: No, he's done. He's done?
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: He's done, yeah. Is it tough for you if you
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: have a child and do they feel like they have
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: to live in your shoes? No. But how do you
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: have that conversation with them as a parent?
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: You do as a parent. Even though I play football,
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: if you want to play, that's on you. If you
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: don't want to play, I'm supporting whatever it is you
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: want to do. I'm not one of those parents that
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: push and push. You're going to do this? No, absolutely not.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: But do you feel like the children feel some type
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: of pressure or no? Just in their own space?
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: No, I would hope not because the pressure would be
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: coming from me. Fuck the outside noise. It has nothing
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: to do with anything. Whatever you dream and want to do,
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: I'm going to support it.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Which one of your children is most like you, do
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: you think?
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: Probably my daughter that runs track at the University of Kentucky.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Is she like your mom too or no?
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: A little bit. It's a little bit of both of us.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: A little bit of both of us. A little bit
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: of both of us.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Like what does she have? Like what tendencies does she have,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: you think, that make her like you?
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: Athletic ability.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: Athleticism. And all of them are athletic. I think, honestly,
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: her sister, who didn't run track, she's an AKA. She
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: goes to Prairie View A & M. I think if
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: she chose to run track or just be in athletics,
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: I think she would be faster.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: So she's a diva.
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: She's the Beyonce of the kids. Oh, really? Yeah, she's
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: the diva.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Who was a bigger diva? Do you think you or
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: Terrell Owens, do you think?
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: I don't think, we're not even divas. That's just a word.
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: I'm not sure why they use that word. It just
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: doesn't describe any of us.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Well, male divas then. No.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: Who's a better player? T.O.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: So one of your daughters is maybe more athletic, but
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: she chooses not to do it.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: What does she like to do?
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: She's a dancer.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: She's a dancer. She's MUA. She can dress her ass off.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Oh, so she's stylish.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness, yes. Oh, yeah, that's my baby.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: That's interesting.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: That's my baby.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I would like to have maybe a stylish little child.
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: I have a daughter also who's into tennis. Cheyenne? I
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: call her Cha-Cha. So good. Already. Eight years old. So good. Forehand, forehand, backhand.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: So good. You don't understand. We're going to have this
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: conversation again maybe five years from now, and it'll be like, Theo,
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: remember what I told you? There she is right there
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: on tour.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Love, love. Wow. Where does she play at? She plays
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: in Florida?
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Yeah, she's in Florida. She's in Florida. I have a
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: younger son, Savion, football. Crazy.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Here in Florida?
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Crazy, yeah.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: So your life must be pretty busy with having to
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: just be a dad all the time.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's easy. It's easy. I hear people complain. It's easy.
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: It's easy.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: What do you think that people complain about that makes
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: it seem tougher to them?
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: Well, I don't know.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: You do also have financial ability to at least feed
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: and take care of rent, that sort of thing.
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: I think that might make it a little easier.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: I bet it does, yeah.
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: From a financial standpoint, it's easy. But also being present
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: and being active and being hands-on as much as I can,
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: I just like it. Like, you know that feeling? I
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: get such a great feeling when we go on trips.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: You know, every summer we take trips as one huge group.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: And just mobbing, mobbing through the airport, like, 10, 8,
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: 9 kids.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: All the women too? The moms and the children? No, no, no. Oh,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: just the children?
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I take everyone.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: Dad and the kids all go on a big trip?
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: I love that shit.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Where did you guys go somewhere fun that you would
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: recommend to another big family to go? Because they got
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: a lot of church families out there.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: Mexico, DR. This summer we're going to Dubai, all of us.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: It's just those trips, dude. Just going to the mall
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: when it's time to go shopping. Just walking in like
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: one big gang. I love that.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: That's interesting. It's an interesting way to think about your
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: future and how you're raising children. But do you worry
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: that you can't give them enough, each child, like enough
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: mental and emotional connection, or you don't think about that
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: as much? Or you think it's okay?
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: No, they're good.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: They're good?
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: They're good, yeah.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I have no idea, yeah. I just think that you
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: worry about that. That's a lot of people's fear. Because
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: it's interesting because I think people used to have more children.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I think we're having less children now. You see that?
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: They're just about to give people money to have more children.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: You seen that? Mm-hmm.
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: Well, you know, especially in this economy, too, I can
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: understand why some people are a little bit more cautious
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: on having kids.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Yeah. Who was an overhyped cornerback when you were playing, bro? Overhyped? Yeah.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: I don't talk about people like that, D.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: But if you had to guess somebody.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: No, I'm not doing that. I don't talk about people.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: So it's a negative.
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a negative. Yeah, nobody's overhyped. If you made it,
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: you're a one percenter. You're there for a reason. You're
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: there for a reason.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: Could you tell if a guy wasn't going to be, like,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: do you feel like there's some days when a player,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: they could even be great, and they go into a
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: game and it's just an off game? Like, does that
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: really happen?
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you have off days. Michael Jordan had off days.
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: I had off days. Some of the best, Brady, Mahomes,
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: you have off days. But your good days outweigh the
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: bad ones.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Right, the average of it. Yeah.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: That's a good one. That was a good question.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: It was?
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: That was a good one.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Well, because sometimes it's like I got to do a
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: show or something, and I'm like, I don't feel like
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: today's just my day, but I still have to do it, right?
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: You got to just wonder at that level because it
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: only comes down to 16 Sundays.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. And out of that 16, you're going to
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: have a bad one.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: You want to be as consistent as possible, but being perfect,
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: you strive for perfection. So even if you do fall short,
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: but you're going to have bad days.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: Do you worry with a lot of these young people
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: that now they have all this max preps and all
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: this video footage and stuff so early? Do you think
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: that that's a positive or a negative? How do you
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: even look at some of that? Because you have a
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: child now who's nine years old who's watching himself either
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: do well or not do well on a film, you know?
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that's a part of it. That's a part
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: of it. You have to evolve with the times. The
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: parents have to evolve with the times that we're in now,
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: understanding that we're in a social media era and everything
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: is magnified times 10. Everything is magnified.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I just wonder, like, if that's good for a
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: child's psyche or not.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: I mean, either way, it's not going anywhere. It's going
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: to be here.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: That's your point.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: It's going to be here.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: You can't romanticize the past because that's not going to
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: come back.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: Exactly. So at that point at all, it's on the
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: parent helping the child understand. Water off a duck's back,
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: no matter what it is. Something goes bad, in one ear,
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: out the other. Next play.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: What about with the, like... NIL is real popular right now.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: They can have players who will have do you'll have
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: players that will do get an NIL deal. Yeah. And
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: then there's like a couple of windows for the NIL.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Bring up how many windows are there? Cause there's some
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: before the season even ends or how many transfer portals
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: in the college season? Typically two main transfer portal windows, right?
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: A window, a winter window and a spring window. So
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: you can have a guy coming during the winter window.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: And I think they've had this get a deal. And
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: then he leaves during the spring window. Or he wants
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: a better deal. He hadn't even done anything yet.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that's the game it is now. It's
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: a pay to play.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: Do you think that helps college football though over time?
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: Do you think it helps keep players in college for
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: a longer amount of time?
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: I think the fact that colleges in general are billion
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: dollar institutions or entities in general and have made so
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: much money off players' likeness for so long and the
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: players really had nothing. So I like the fact that
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: players are now able to take advantage of their likeness
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: and get paid early because everybody's not making it to
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: the NFL.
- 1:28:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: Everybody's not going to get there. So them being able
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: to make some change, make some cash now while they're playing,
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: I'm all for it. I'm all for it.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: But do you think there will be players who don't
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: make it because they get money early that it damages them?
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: No, absolutely not.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: You don't think so?
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: Well, it could. But getting that kind of money in college.
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: If a guy gets that.
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: Money early and he's spending it in a club or
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: he's buying a wagon wheel or a Jeep Wrangler, you're
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: going to tell me he's not going to want to.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: Well, your end goal is the NFL. Your end goal
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: is always the NFL. Getting money in college shouldn't change
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: your long-term vision and your childhood dream of making it
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: to the big league.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: But you don't think that somebody could suffer?
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: Absolutely not.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: If you gave me that money early.
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: That little bit of money is to help family. That's
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: to help family.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: I don't know if these guys are using it for that, though.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: No, trust me, they're using it for family. Because you don't,
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: you know, based on where some of these individuals are
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: coming from, this is a huge jumpstart to being able
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: to help their family. But the end goal of the
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: real money is in the NFL.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: Not NIL.
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: What's the most somebody made in NIL this past season?
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Let's take a look at it.
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: Probably four million. Maybe five.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: But you got people doing dog food commercials and shit
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: in their small town and stuff.
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, get it. Get it while you can.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: Getting six or seven racks out there. Four years of
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: college right there. What's the biggest NIL deal in college football?
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: The highest NIL in college football. Oh, it's Arch Manning.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: That's right. 6.7. Yeah. How many years is that, though?
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: He only got three more to go.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Is that 6.7 a year, you think?
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: No, total.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: That's total. Yeah. So that's different, but that's better than, like,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: if that's a fifth-round pick or something.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: You got to remember, arts comes from money anyway, so
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: that's not new to him.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: Right, it's probably not making his biggest choice. Yeah. How
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: often do you guys tape your show?
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: Now it's based on the NBA playoffs, so we're off tonight.
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: So we just did Thursday, Wednesday— Tuesday. We're off tomorrow. No,
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: we're off today. We're on tomorrow. Sunday, Monday. And we're
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: on Saturday, Sunday. Wait.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: You tape all the time, huh?
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's fun. It's fun. The NBA game,
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: the NBA playoffs. And we always have an NBA guest on.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: So I'm enjoying that. I'm enjoying that.
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: Did you think about other, like, is there another venture
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: you'd like to get into? You feel like you're in
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: a good space? It seems like you're in a pretty
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: good space. Yeah, right now I'm good because this is
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: my off season. You know, when football season gets here,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: I'm on NFL films. I'll be on ESPN this year
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: with Stephen A.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: So I'm good. This is my off time.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: What's he like, man? Is he really like he seems,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Stephen A?
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Cool as hell. Cool as hell. Stephen A has afforded
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: me opportunities I couldn't have imagined. Couldn't have imagined. Yeah,
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: so I like it, especially being in space, being able
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: to transition into media.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: It's been really good for me.
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Yeah, you got to have, I think having that,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: just being able to have a voice, you know? And
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: you still have a voice in the sport that you love.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: You still have some sort of a say or at
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: least an opinion and stuff, you know?
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: Yeah, an opinion that's respected, especially when it comes to football.
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: Yeah. When you look back on your experience with the Bengals,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: what is like, obviously, you know, the play and everything
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: like that. What was Cincinnati like then? What was the
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: energy like then?
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: It was good. It was good, especially that 2005 year,
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: which that was the year we were on. Fire, offensively.
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: And obviously defense, they were having takeaways like crazy. That
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: was our year. If Carson didn't go down in that
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: first round of the playoffs against the Steelers, that was
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: our year to hoist a trophy. That was that year. Oh,
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: my goodness. The city was on fire. I can just
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: imagine now. Hell, yeah. Every year, every year now with
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: Joe Burrow there, you know you have an opportunity. You
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: got a chance.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: Rudy Johnson was a beast, remember? Oh, yeah.
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: Rudy, whoosh. Those are some good dudes, man. Matter of fact,
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: I have a group chat with half of everybody in here.
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: Hoosh is in there. I'm in there. Rudy Johnson is
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: in there. We got Carson. Justin Smith is in that
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: group chat. I haven't seen some of these names. Oh,
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: Brian Simmons is in the group chat. I haven't seen
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: some of these names in so long. Oh, look at
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: Odell Thurman. Odell was really good.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: It's wild. Some guys, it's like they'll have a great.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Like Rudy Johnson was huge for a few. He had
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: a couple of great years. Oh yeah.
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: And then you didn't hear about him. Yeah.
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: I don't, I don't know where I don't, I can't
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: remember where Rudy went after he left.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: And it's not even a judgment against him. It's just like,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: that's how it's like things come and go fast.
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: In the league. It does. Listen, those years go by
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: real fast, very fast.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Damn. 11 and five.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Damn. And we were on fire, man.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: And who was y'all's backup? Who came in as backup quarterback? Yeah.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: Who was our backup that year? Oh, John Kidna. He
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: now coaches at Lakota East or Lakota West High School
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: in Cincinnati. Carson Palmer is now coaching in L.A. I
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: don't know what school he's coaching at.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: And Kidna, y'all didn't break through that second round?
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: No, no, no, man. The Steelers won that game, man.
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: They won that game. Oh, John. That's my guy.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to think of anything else, man, I could
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: think about. Do you love living down here in Florida?
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: That's all I know. Been all over the world, B.
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: I'd have been all over the world and it's nothing
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: like home. No matter where I go and I do
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: all my traveling strictly for soccer purposes. I'm a huge
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: soccer enthusiast. Love soccer.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: You think you could have played it at a pro level?
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: I would have had to start when I was four
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: years old. If I started when I was four years old.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Is that intrinsic, huh?
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: Yes, I love it. I love it. I love the atmosphere,
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: the energy. I don't think people understand. We don't look
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: at soccer as a sport. Why are you like, all
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: they're doing is running around. The score is only 1-0.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: But you don't understand how beautiful that game is. It's
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: like painting a picture. And if you watch it and
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: understand what you're watching, then you'll appreciate it more.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: That's your favorite sport, you think?
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Times 10. Then football.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: What's the best place to see a soccer game at, then,
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: you think?
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: For me?
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: Growing up, I had the opportunity to see a river
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: game versus Boca Juniors in Argentina. You'll never see an
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: atmosphere like that ever again.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: Dang.
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: And I don't think people, it's kind of dangerous, but still,
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: River Plate and Boca Juniors. Obviously, I've seen every EPL team.
- 1:35:18Speaker 2: I've been to their stadium. I've seen every La Liga
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: team play. El Clasico, Real Madrid, and Barcelona is always
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: a good one.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: So you've been to a lot of these famous stadiums
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: and parks.
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: Every last stadium. Yes, every last one. It was magical, huh?
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: I did the World Cup. Well, Qatar with Fox. I
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: was the analyst for- Really? Yeah, for Fox.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: Damn, Jay. You've done a lot of amazing stuff.
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: Dude, I love, love soccer, man. If I had to
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: choose between going to a soccer game or just watching
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: and having sex, I'm picking soccer every time.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: Over sex?
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: Absolutely. I don't care who it is.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: I don't care who it is. That's how much I
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: love the game, the beautiful game.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to think. Let me think. Oh, yeah,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: I would probably go. Yeah, sex sometimes gets a little
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: bit boring, kind of, you think?
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: Depends.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe not boring. That's not the best word.
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: I mean, listen, I did amateur porn growing up. So
- 1:36:16Speaker 2: for me, it's.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: You did amateur?
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: Yeah, amateur porn, yeah. It's just the only difference is
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: I didn't get paid for it.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I was an amateur.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: And so were you, and were people doing, were people
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: filming it?
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I had a tripod camera set up.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you were a tripod, yeah.
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Those tapes still out there, you think? They did.
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: It earned me some good money.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: Oh, you had a tape out there?
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: No, I had a tripod and I just sold them myself.
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: Oh, bet, yeah. Yeah. God, I don't know. I hope
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: there's nothing out there of me.
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: No, yes. Right now, probably back then, I don't even
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: think they sell the camcorders back then for someone to
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: be able to blackmail me at this point.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: Yeah. They might have some drawings of me having sex, though.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: There we go.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: Are you married?
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: Some clay figures, no. I got to get married, man.
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: Do you have a girlfriend?
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: Not right now. No? I'm going to get one, though.
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: How do you navigate that? I just be careful.
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: Are you cautious on who you're dealing with based on
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: now being the guy?
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm pretty cautious.
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Yeah, because things happen. I mean, even with your co-hosts.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: I think there's more opportunities, maybe.
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: Everything's weird now.
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: It just feels.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: Things feel kind of scary, and you don't know even
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: if you're doing the right things that somebody could take
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: advantage of you.
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: Yep, they can.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: And then at the same time, I have a lot
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: of friends that are sex addicts that get caught up
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: just in sex and in that world, and it becomes
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: like an addiction to them.
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it can be. A lot of people, I hate
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: when people call sex an addiction. Really? I really don't
- 1:37:54Speaker 2: like that because we're mammals. We're put on earth. in
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: general to to have sex oh yeah to procreate in
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: general we pump and so i just i hate the
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: fact that we have all these definitions oh he's an
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: addict no you're not it's sex it's something that we
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: as humans actually do some do it more than others
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: and that just you know it's cool yeah.
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: Some people enjoy doing it a ton some people.
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: Don't yeah yeah and some enjoy doing it with with
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: multiple people you know and just it is you ever
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: been to a swingers club.
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: I never been no man I mean, yeah, I used
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: to work at one. Oh, you did? Yeah.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: I used to be a gigolo for rich, rich, rich.
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: Women. Really? Tommy Lee was a gigolo. He was?
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: Tommy Lee from Molly Crew.
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Molly Crew?
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: That's dope.
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: He's a gigolo. So would you get hired to get
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: out there and take these women out on dates?
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: Yeah, get on dates. And obviously they had billionaire husbands,
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: billionaire boyfriends that didn't have the time for them. And
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: I would just fill that void. that they weren't getting
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: at home because of them being busy.
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: So the husband's just so busy, I'm just gonna, I'm
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: gonna treat my wife to a date, at least she
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: can go do something nice. Well, the husband didn't know.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: Oh, secret. Yeah, it was an ad. It was an
- 1:39:00Speaker 2: ad in a paper.
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: You put your own ad out?
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I put my own ad out.
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: And what would the ad say, ballpark?
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: Based on the information that what they were looking for,
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: I had a menu of services that I provided.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: And was someone sexual or not?
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: Yeah, someone was sexual, someone would just be spending time,
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: you know, dates. movies, conversation, massage, stuff like that. And
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: most of the time it was more about sex and,
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: you know, fulfilling that fantasy of being with a black guy.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: That's a marketable fantasy, huh?
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: Of Mandingo descent.
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: Oh, damn. Yeah. And how do you know if someone's
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Mandingo or not?
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: Well, anything.
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: What region is that?
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: The lower region.
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: Bring it up. Where have I been? I've been to Tanzania. Yeah. Mandingo.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: On a map. Yeah, there we go. Okay. West Africa.
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: So if they want to see that West, if they
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: want that West Africa energy, huh?
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's more of a term in referencing the private area.
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: Mandingo. Oh, it's a... Wiener term? Yeah. Oh, dang, I
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: didn't know it. I've heard it.
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: Mandingo guy or whatever.
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: Okay, so you had women trying to just be with
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: a black man?
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: Yeah, they just wanted to fulfill that fantasy.
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: And were they paying a decent amount for it?
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, for an hour, I could make anywhere
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: from $ 3, 500 to $ 5, 000.
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: My goodness.
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: God, would you wear your jersey or not?
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: No, this is before I even, I hadn't even made
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: it yet.
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because at that point, I wouldn't need the money
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: if I'm already in the league.
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I bet.
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: So that's the way, you know... in college dang you
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: know I used to strip too did you really in
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: LA at the right track damn yeah I was a
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: dancer they used to call me Twix really why cause
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: I was skinny and had a lot of veins mmm
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: oh yeah I liked the Twix yeah dang man was
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: that a fun sport it was fun it was fun
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: it was fun would you.
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: Do the splits as well out there no.
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: I didn't do the splits I didn't do the splits
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: but what I did come to learn is the women
- 1:41:03Speaker 2: of of 200 plus pounds or more they tip much
- 1:41:08Speaker 2: better than everyone else Oh, yeah. Yeah, they did.
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: Did they? Oh, yeah.
- 1:41:12Speaker 2: They tip well.
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: And would you ever get hired by those women for sexual?
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: At times.
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: At times, yeah.
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: At times, yeah.
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: And is it more challenging? I feel like do you
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: have to do more for more of a Rubenesque woman?
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: I've been with some probably medium-sized girls. I've never been
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: with like a real more of a larger, bigger, larger maybe.
- 1:41:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: You know, like I've never been with like a big
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: X to plug type woman.
- 1:41:36Speaker 2: 200 plus, I love. I love.
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: I love that. I just do. Theo, I got so
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: many good stories, man, from back then. It's just we'd
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: be here all day.
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: But would you guys ever go to like a drive-in
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: movie or what would y'all do?
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: Holy shit. Speaking of drive-in, I haven't been to a
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: drive-in in years. Do they still have drive-in theaters? Especially
- 1:41:57Speaker 2: here in Florida. That would be a great date. I'm
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: so glad you brought that up.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I would love to get to a drive-in out
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: there with a lady.
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be dope.
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: Was it ever scary going over to a woman's house, though?
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: Absolutely not. No, because I already know. Yeah, no. Nothing
- 1:42:14Speaker 2: to be scared of. Nothing to be scared of. I'm
- 1:42:16Speaker 2: just going to perform to put on a show.
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: And was there a certain amount of time you had
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: to do sex for? You could just, was it like
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: part-time or full-time kind of?
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: Well, it depends on what she picks from.
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, depending on what you got. You could pay
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: cash or check.
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: No, I don't do checks. Cash. Cash up front.
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: Damn, bro. Yeah. So you've always been entrepreneurial, huh?
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: Yeah, most definitely. You got to start somewhere.
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: And would you wear a special suit or a bandana
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: or anything?
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: No, no. Just banana hammock.
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: Just casual attire, huh?
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Would you lotion up that wiener.
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: Or whatever before you go? Yeah, lotion up everywhere.
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: Oiled up. Especially when I come on stage.
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: Oh, you don't even knock. You just slide through the lock.
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: Right on in.
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: Come on.
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: Right on in.
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: Ocho Cinco, man. Well, I would love to go to
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: a game whenever you go watch your daughter in Kentucky.
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: Yeah, most definitely. It's outdoor season right now, too. It
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: just started.
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: So when I get up there, you got to come
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: on down. I'd love to, man. Do you think that
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: some players secretly lobby to get into the Hall of Fame?
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: I think so. I mean, rightfully so. For those that understand...
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: For them, if it means that much to them, being
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: a part of that entity of special people, yes. But
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: then there's some players also, like myself, that feel that
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: I don't really need the validation. I understand who I
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: am and what I did during my time. And I'm,
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: in general, I don't really need it. I hate the
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: fact that there are certain people that sit in places
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: that are in a position of power that can control
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: individuals that no longer play. It's like puppets. Oh, yeah,
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: I know you want to be here so bad, so
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: I'm controlling whether you can get it or not. I
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: would never give anyone the satisfaction, the power over me.
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: I don't care about your shit. Take it.
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: I mean, listen, it's great. It's a great achievement, a
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: great accomplishment, but come on. I have too much going
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: on now still.
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: Right. Every day you have a lot of adoration and
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: things that you get to still be active and admired
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: in a sport that you enjoy. Who's that?
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: When I put that Hall of Fame jacket on myself.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Good for you.
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: I think there are 269 members in the Hall of Fame,
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: but that jacket right there, that's one-on-one.
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: Gang, gang. That's the truth, huh?
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: That's one-on-one. There's only one of those.
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: Dude, yeah. That's a good point.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: What if you started your own little hall?
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Listen, the Hall of Fame is unbelievable, you know,
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: to be able to get there.
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I'm not discrediting it.
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: Yeah, me neither. I'm just saying, but I don't like
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: the power it holds over players that are retired. because
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: they're clamoring, trying to get in because of.
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: What it means. It's the same with these Emmy Awards
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: and Academy Awards for acting and stuff. I respect that
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: it's an award that people have admired and stuff, but
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: if people out there blowing directors and shit to get
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: the award, or they're having a... pity patter to them
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: because they hope they vote for them. I don't like
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: that shit.
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: That's not me. It never has been.
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: In fact, take me off the fucking ballot because I
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: don't even want you to be able to tell me no.
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: That's how I feel. I don't even want you to
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: be able to say you didn't get it. I never
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: wanted it. You know what I'm saying? It's almost even
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: a better take. With the future, I know Shannon's going
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: through his stuff right now. With the future of y'all's show,
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: do you guys worry about that? Does it impair it
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: or do you feel... Unc is going through his issues, right?
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: And whatnot. And Unk asked me to be a part
- 1:45:54Speaker 2: of Nightcap. And I'm going to ride that wave because
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: he asked me to come on. I'm not jumping ship
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: because of his personal stuff that you handle whatever you
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: need to handle. I'm always be here.
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: I'm going to be here. You know, if the ship
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: go down, bitch, I'm going down with it.
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: You know, so when the ship was going good, I
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: was right here. Just because it's just because it's fucking rocky.
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: I ain't going nowhere. I'm not going nowhere. So I'm
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: going to let Uncle do what he needs to do.
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: We're going to keep on filming. We're going to keep
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: on trucking. We're going to keep our head down. He
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: knows what he needs to do on his end, and
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: I'm going to make sure I take care of my
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: end and do what I need to do and show up.
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: That's it.
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: That's it. Yeah, man. You know what it reminds me
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: of is when Bill Belichick, remember when Trump, people got
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: on to Bill Belichick about Trump, and what did he
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: say about him? Remember when everybody was against Trump? Remember
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: that shit?
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: They still are.
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: Yeah, now even for different reasons, man, how they're handling
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: some of the Middle East stuff. But he said, my
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: relationship with Donald Trump isn't political because the media was
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: really getting on to him.
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: He said, my relationship with Donald Trump isn't political, Belichick said,
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: on the dynasty. I knew him long before he got
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: into politics. Donald is a friend, and I wrote a
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: personal letter. Might have been it. But he stood up
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: for the fact that this is my friend.
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: This is my friend, and people can... There can be
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: other stuff that he has going on in his life,
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: but that isn't, I'm not going to not be a
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: friend then, right? So yeah, it just kind of reminds
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: me of that. Anything else you wanted to talk about, Chad?
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: Probably got a lot of good stuff. I feel like
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: you had a good conversation. Yeah. Sometimes it's hard. Sometimes
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: you have days where you're like, you got it. You
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: got everything going. Everything's okay. Sometimes you have days where
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: you're like, what's even going on? It's weird. Sometimes you
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: get scared. Sometimes you don't. Yeah. Or nervous about certain moments.
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: I don't think black people get as nervous as white
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: people do. Do you think that that's true?
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: It depends. It all depends on the atmosphere. It all
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: depends on the atmosphere and the situation. I mean, driving
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: a car and the cops pull up behind you, we
- 1:48:08Speaker 2: get nervous.
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: Yeah. And I'm like, hey, buddy.
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys not so much. You get nervous.
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: That might be a good point. So in different moments.
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: But I think also a good thing that a lot
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: of black folks have is white people. You could tell
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: when they're nervous. Cause you could see it in their skin. Yeah.
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: We give a lot of too many clues away. So
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: I think I got to start wearing some, some, some
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: rouges or just like, I got to start wearing some bronzer. Um,
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Chad.
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: No, thank you.
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: Best of luck, man. I love your energy, bro. Thank
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: you for being somebody that continues to entertain people. You know,
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: it's just interesting to hear what your life has been
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: like and how you kind of choose. Somehow you're able
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: to remarkably choose to still just be yourself no matter
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: how kind of hectic things get.
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: Doesn't matter. No matter what. I always even keel at
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: all times.
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: And your even keel is even keel-nevil, too, to a
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: lot of people. You know, it's wild. But that's who
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: you are.
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: Yeah, always been and will never change. I will always
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: remain authentically myself at all times.
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: Well, it's been fun to watch, man, on the field
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: and off. And, yeah, thank you for your time.
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: Thank you, boss. I appreciate it, baby.
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: Now I'm just floating on the breeze And I feel
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: I'm falling like these leaves I must be cornerstone oh
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: but when I reach that ground I'll share this peace
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: of mind I found I can feel it in my
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: bones but it's gonna take
