- 1:42Speaker 1: podcasts coming. You never know who's listening. Now Here are
- 1:47Speaker 1: the radio calls from the fourth three point game between
- 1:51Speaker 1: the Bengals and Chiefs in the last thirteen months. On
- 1:56Speaker 1: a worldwide calendar, this is the year twenty twenty three
- 2:01Speaker 1: a d but for the Cincinnati Bengals and their fans,
- 2:04Speaker 1: it is the year three JB and Joe Burrows. Three seasons,
- 2:09Speaker 1: the Bengals have quickly become one of the NFL's best teams,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and tonight in Kansas City, they are one win away
- 2:16Speaker 1: from a second straight trip to the Super Bowl. Burrow
- 2:19Speaker 1: catches the shotgun snap from the pocket. In trouble, Joe
- 2:23Speaker 1: gets away from a hit, but now he gets tomahawk
- 2:25Speaker 1: down to the ground by Clark, his thirteenth career postseason sack,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and the Bengals will have to punt it away a
- 2:33Speaker 1: loss of nine from forty three yards out. The snap,
- 2:37Speaker 1: the placement, the swing of the right leg. The kick
- 2:39Speaker 1: has plenty of distance and it is oh good, and
- 2:43Speaker 1: the Chiefs are on the scoreboard. Max sharping the right
- 2:46Speaker 1: guard gives a hand signal. That's how they're doing a
- 2:49Speaker 1: silent snapcount. Burrow gets trilled from behind, Joe had time,
- 2:54Speaker 1: couldn't find an open target, and Willie Gay hammers Joe
- 2:58Speaker 1: Burrow from behind back to thirty four a six yard sack.
- 3:02Speaker 1: This will be a twenty four yard attempt for Harrison,
- 3:04Speaker 1: Butker from the right hash on a sharp angle. His
- 3:07Speaker 1: kick is up and it is good. So the Chiefs
- 3:11Speaker 1: have field goals on their first two possessions and they've
- 3:15Speaker 1: taken a six nothing lead. Two deep safeties for the Chiefs.
- 3:19Speaker 1: They fake uplitz up the middle. Burrow with time comes
- 3:22Speaker 1: over the middle, caught at the twenty yard line, running
- 3:25Speaker 1: toward the fifteen and getting tackled there is Tyler Boyd.
- 3:28Speaker 1: He spikes the ball at the fifteen yard line. Justin
- 3:31Speaker 1: Reid made the stop. A twenty four yard throw. This
- 3:35Speaker 1: will be a thirty yard field goal attempt from the left.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Hash for Evan McPherson, whose field goal in this direction
- 3:42Speaker 1: sent the Bengals to the Super Bowl in overtime a
- 3:45Speaker 1: year ago. True Chris beIN ready for the snap from Ademitas.
- 3:49Speaker 1: He places the ball down. The kick is on the
- 3:51Speaker 1: way and it is right down the middle for Evan McPherson,
- 3:55Speaker 1: who has never missed a postseason field goal attempt. Mahomes
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the gun. Three receivers right, one left. Mahomes rolling
- 4:03Speaker 1: to the right looking looking throws into the end zone.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Caught Travis Kelsey, boxed out Jesse Bates and caught the
- 4:12Speaker 1: touchdown pass. This will be a twenty three yard field
- 4:15Speaker 1: goal try for McPherson from the left. Hash the put
- 4:19Speaker 1: down the right footed kick. It is good and money.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Mac is now nineteen for nineteen on postseason field goal attempts.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Two deep safeties for Ksey, shotgun snap to Joe. He
- 4:32Speaker 1: throws it down the left sideline, open catching for a touchdown.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Te Hagans full grown man, leaps at the goal line
- 4:42Speaker 1: and reels it in for a potential tying touchdown, a
- 4:47Speaker 1: twenty seven yard thing of beauty. On the throw from
- 4:51Speaker 1: Joe Burrow. Mahomes waits for the shotgun snap. He catches
- 4:54Speaker 1: the ball, he's looking left now scrambling, throws it over
- 4:57Speaker 1: the middle, caught for the touchdown. Man Faldez scantling one
- 5:03Speaker 1: yard deep in the end zone between the hash marks,
- 5:06Speaker 1: made the catch, a nineteen yard touchdown on third and ten,
- 5:11Speaker 1: first and ten at the Cincinnati forty six. We're down
- 5:13Speaker 1: to one h three to go in the third quarter.
- 5:16Speaker 1: The Chiefs up by a touchdown. Mahomes had the ball
- 5:18Speaker 1: pop out of his hand, get the Bengals fall on it.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Sam Hubbard bounces on the ball as Patrick Mahomes cocked
- 5:26Speaker 1: his arm and the ball just fluttered out and Sam
- 5:30Speaker 1: Hubbard falls on it on the Kansas City forty three
- 5:33Speaker 1: yard line. Who else? Who else? The local legend, Sam
- 5:37Speaker 1: Hubbard burrow in the gun on fourth and six. He
- 5:40Speaker 1: catches the shotgun snap, he's back to throw. He flings
- 5:43Speaker 1: it deep downfield. Chase makes the touch left the six
- 5:48Speaker 1: yard line. He'd beat Brian Cook leaping for the football
- 5:52Speaker 1: at the six and it's first in goal. A thirty
- 5:56Speaker 1: five yard gain on fourth and six, and he's double
- 6:00Speaker 1: Everard and he jumps between both of them. I mean
- 6:03Speaker 1: it's fourth and six. They say, Chase, you're not getting
- 6:05Speaker 1: the ball. We got you bracketed deep and Joe Burrow says,
- 6:09Speaker 1: now that's Jamar Chase. I'm putting it up. And Jamar
- 6:12Speaker 1: Chase says, I'm out jumping everybody and I'm gonna go
- 6:15Speaker 1: get the football. What a player. P Ryan in it
- 6:17Speaker 1: running back lines up to the right of Joe Burrow.
- 6:20Speaker 1: T Higgins motions from right to left. Joins Chase on
- 6:23Speaker 1: that side. Burrow hands it off. P Ryan fighting struggling forward.
- 6:28Speaker 1: There's the signal touchdown Bengals on a two yard run
- 6:33Speaker 1: by some mad j p Ryan. Third down and three,
- 6:37Speaker 1: the Bengals at their own thirty six shotgun snap back
- 6:40Speaker 1: to Burrow. Joe standing in the pocket, throws it deep
- 6:43Speaker 1: four Higgins broken up and then he accept it picked
- 6:46Speaker 1: off by Williams. He gets tackled by Higgins at the
- 6:50Speaker 1: fourteen yard line. Didn't believe he caught that reflection. Third
- 6:53Speaker 1: down to eight, the Bengals at their own thirty five
- 6:56Speaker 1: shotgun snap back to Joe. It's a deep drop under pressure.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Chris Jones nails him for a sack at the twenty
- 7:03Speaker 1: seven yard line. Forty one seconds left in regulation. Tied
- 7:07Speaker 1: at twenty Drew Chrisman waits back at the thirteen for
- 7:10Speaker 1: the snap from Adamitas. Punt protector Michael Thomas directing traffic
- 7:14Speaker 1: the snap and the right footed punt, not much hang time,
- 7:18Speaker 1: skymore backpedaling catches at the twenty. His momentum takes him
- 7:22Speaker 1: back to the eighteen. Comes to the thirty thirty five
- 7:24Speaker 1: forty sideline forty five and knocked out of bounds near midfield.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Stanley Morgan made the stop. Drew Crispin did not get
- 7:33Speaker 1: that put high enough into the air. Two receivers out
- 7:36Speaker 1: to each side. Mahomes with a deep drop now moving
- 7:39Speaker 1: in the pocket, running to the right and running well,
- 7:41Speaker 1: he's at the fifty. He's trying to run for the
- 7:43Speaker 1: first down. He goes, I'm the Bengal push him after
- 7:48Speaker 1: he was out of bounds. Multiple flags are going to
- 7:51Speaker 1: tack fifteen yards onto this play eight seconds left in regulation,
- 7:56Speaker 1: and with that penalty, the Chiefs will be in field
- 7:59Speaker 1: goal range. Man, you have to be more aware. This
- 8:02Speaker 1: football team has got a lot of awareness. Not on
- 8:05Speaker 1: that play eight seconds left in regulation. Harrison Butker trying
- 8:09Speaker 1: to give Kansas City the lead from forty five yards away.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Towns in the punter is. The holder looks back at Butcker,
- 8:17Speaker 1: Butcker is ready. Now, the snap, the placement, the kick
- 8:20Speaker 1: is up and it is good. Three seconds from eting
- 8:27Speaker 1: and the Kansas City Chiefs have a three point lead,
- 8:31Speaker 1: twenty three to twenty. Boiled boy, that's that's just that's devastating, devastating.
- 8:40Speaker 1: There's no other way to look at it. Kansas City
- 8:43Speaker 1: is likely to try a bouncing squib type kick in
- 8:48Speaker 1: hopes of getting the final three seconds to run off
- 8:50Speaker 1: the clock. Butcker, who just made the go ahead field
- 8:53Speaker 1: goal from forty five yards away, has the ball upon
- 8:58Speaker 1: the tea at the thirty five. He approached it and
- 9:01Speaker 1: bounces it down the middle of the field. The Bengals
- 9:04Speaker 1: pick it up, they will run it back. At the twenty,
- 9:06Speaker 1: Irwin throws it back where it caught. At the sixteen,
- 9:10Speaker 1: Trent Taylor trying to stay alive. He is tackled, and
- 9:14Speaker 1: the Kansas City Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl.
- 9:19Speaker 1: It will be Andy Reid's current team versus his former team.
- 9:24Speaker 1: As the Chiefs faced the Philadelphia Eagles, it looked like
- 9:28Speaker 1: the stage was set for another dramatic Bengals win over
- 9:31Speaker 1: Kansas City. Cincinnati forced the Chiefs to punt and got
- 9:35Speaker 1: the ball at their own six yard line with two
- 9:37Speaker 1: thirty to go, and when Joe Burrow found Hayden Hurst
- 9:41Speaker 1: for a twenty three yard gain on third and sixteen,
- 9:44Speaker 1: the Bengals had a first down at their own thirty
- 9:46Speaker 1: three with about a minute remaining, but the drive stalled
- 9:50Speaker 1: there and a twenty nine yard punt return by sky
- 9:54Speaker 1: Moore gave the Chiefs the ball near midfield with thirty
- 9:57Speaker 1: seconds to go. I asked through Christman about the punt
- 10:01Speaker 1: on your last punt, what are you hoping to do
- 10:04Speaker 1: there in terms of direction whatever. Certainly you'd love that
- 10:08Speaker 1: out of bounds. I mean not deally, either hang it
- 10:11Speaker 1: up high where they don't get a return at all,
- 10:13Speaker 1: or get out of bounds. And fortunately we got too
- 10:16Speaker 1: many on that return for sure. And yeah, I mean
- 10:20Speaker 1: five yards further back, I don't know if that field
- 10:21Speaker 1: goes in. So certainly you'd love to get a better
- 10:25Speaker 1: net on that last punt there. And so yeah, there's
- 10:28Speaker 1: there's certainly some some too correct there. And two plays
- 10:32Speaker 1: after that, with seventeen seconds to go, Patrick Mahomes scrambled
- 10:36Speaker 1: for five on third down in four and got hit
- 10:39Speaker 1: after going out of bounds by Joseph Osi. The fifteen
- 10:43Speaker 1: yard penalty set up Harrison Butker's game winning field goal.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Now time to take you inside the locker room. We
- 10:51Speaker 1: start with Tyler Boyd on the Bengals first scoring drive.
- 10:55Speaker 1: He had two catches for forty yards, but shortly after that,
- 10:59Speaker 1: Tyler suffered a fig injury and did not return to
- 11:02Speaker 1: the game. For me, it's devastating because I didn't get
- 11:08Speaker 1: a chance to just ride out there and stay out
- 11:10Speaker 1: there my brothers. Unfortunately, you know, I had an injury
- 11:14Speaker 1: late in the second first half, and but I got
- 11:17Speaker 1: faith in the guys that we had, you know, Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I came in, did a great job of feeling the void,
- 11:22Speaker 1: and we have a lot of confidence in him to
- 11:25Speaker 1: go in and do that, you know. But just just
- 11:27Speaker 1: managing the fall short man, it sucks. You know, it's tough,
- 11:30Speaker 1: sou At the end of the day, we know how
- 11:33Speaker 1: we're built, and we know our legacy, and I'm pretty
- 11:36Speaker 1: sure and I know that we'll be back here. You
- 11:38Speaker 1: had a sixteen yard catch on third and fourteen, and
- 11:40Speaker 1: then immediately after that at twenty four yard catch. Did
- 11:43Speaker 1: you feel like the way the Chiefs were playing that
- 11:45Speaker 1: there were going to be a lot of opportunities for
- 11:47Speaker 1: you today. Absolutely. You know, they played a lot, they
- 11:50Speaker 1: played a lot of too high. So that mean that
- 11:52Speaker 1: if they're gonna take out the boundary receiver, whether it's
- 11:55Speaker 1: tea or a chase at the time, then us front side,
- 11:58Speaker 1: we gotta we gotta produce. And I felt like it
- 12:00Speaker 1: was going to be a game for me because I
- 12:02Speaker 1: was finding the right voice for jodah uh find me.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And man, it just sucks because I couldn't finish and
- 12:08Speaker 1: I couldn't stay out there and around my guys. But
- 12:11Speaker 1: like I said, man, we got we got so much talent,
- 12:13Speaker 1: so much guys. I could come in and feel and
- 12:15Speaker 1: feel the void. Man, But it's just unfortunate. On the
- 12:18Speaker 1: one hand, you're one game shorter than last year. On
- 12:22Speaker 1: the other hand, you had a ten game winning streak.
- 12:25Speaker 1: A lot of positive things obviously happened this year. Did
- 12:28Speaker 1: you feel like this was another building block type season?
- 12:32Speaker 1: You know, I feel like I still feel like we're
- 12:34Speaker 1: the best team in football, you know, but it's hard
- 12:36Speaker 1: to say that if we didn't win, you know, and
- 12:37Speaker 1: it was one play away, you know. And then and
- 12:40Speaker 1: that's the part where it come in where I feel
- 12:42Speaker 1: kind of down, you know, because I didn't get to finish,
- 12:44Speaker 1: you know, but I knew I had a serious injury.
- 12:47Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, we'll be back.
- 12:49Speaker 1: We're we're we're we're built ready for these moments, man,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and oh every year we fight the most adversity and
- 12:56Speaker 1: we overcome it and we continue to strive. We're gonna
- 12:59Speaker 1: keep doing it and next year it's going to be
- 13:01Speaker 1: even better. When the team had the ball with two
- 13:03Speaker 1: and a half minutes to go in a tie game,
- 13:05Speaker 1: did you figure we're headed to the super Bowl? Absolutely?
- 13:07Speaker 1: It wasn't even close. You know, Joe Burrow, the whole
- 13:10Speaker 1: world felt that, and I believe that the whole world
- 13:13Speaker 1: everybody's watching when we got the ball in two minutes
- 13:17Speaker 1: that were going to win. You know, that's just how
- 13:19Speaker 1: good we are, how good Joe is as a leader
- 13:21Speaker 1: and leading us. But um, we just got one play man.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Just just sucks that we didn't capitalize when we should have.
- 13:27Speaker 1: But we know what kind of team we have. We'll
- 13:30Speaker 1: be back. The Bengals Booth Podcast just presented by all
- 13:33Speaker 1: Ta Fiber future Proof fiber Internet capable of delivering multi
- 13:38Speaker 1: gigabit speeds, designed to take your home, business and community
- 13:42Speaker 1: to a new level. Elevate your connection with all to Fiber.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Joe Burrow through for two hundred and seventy yards with
- 13:49Speaker 1: one touchdown and two picks. He was sacked five times
- 13:53Speaker 1: and hit twelve. The old line not only struggled to
- 13:57Speaker 1: protect Joe, but couldn't get Joe Mixon going either. He
- 14:01Speaker 1: finished with eight carries for nineteen yards. Here's mixing, dude.
- 14:07Speaker 1: We thought he was gonna come out with the dub.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I mean, our guys got a big, big stop. We
- 14:13Speaker 1: had an opportunity and just you know, somebody on their
- 14:16Speaker 1: defense made a play and then they had a cused
- 14:17Speaker 1: kick return and obviously the end was it was crazy.
- 14:22Speaker 1: But you know, my guys, like I said, they fought
- 14:25Speaker 1: they ass off for four quarters and I'm just, you know,
- 14:28Speaker 1: so proud of how we battled. We just gotta do
- 14:30Speaker 1: whatever we can to, like I said, bounce back anyway possible.
- 14:36Speaker 1: And that's pretty much what it is. Do you take
- 14:39Speaker 1: some solace or good feeling out of knowing that the
- 14:42Speaker 1: Cincinnati Bengals have clearly established themselves as one of the
- 14:45Speaker 1: best teams in the NFL. Yeah, know, for sure. I
- 14:47Speaker 1: mean our guys. You know them guys. They fought hard
- 14:50Speaker 1: and rightfully. I felt like we earned the right to,
- 14:55Speaker 1: you know, hang our hats on. We are the Cincinnati Bengals,
- 15:00Speaker 1: and I feel like, you know, that was a great
- 15:02Speaker 1: Chiefs team that we lost to, and hopefully, you know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: to do whatever they can to win the Super Bowl.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I mean, all my hats my hostess tilted off to him.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I mean, they deserve it, they earned it, and you know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: with my teammates, I just got to try to do
- 15:16Speaker 1: whatever I can to keep their spirits alive and um,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you know, try to get over this hunt. Chris Jones
- 15:22Speaker 1: is a load. He Uh he was obviously very difficult
- 15:26Speaker 1: to handle today. Yeah, for sure he was. I mean
- 15:30Speaker 1: he's one of the best detacles in this NFL league.
- 15:34Speaker 1: He's a grown ass man, and um he proved that today. Um.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But at the same time, I said, our our team,
- 15:43Speaker 1: try to do whatever we can to stick together and
- 15:46Speaker 1: keep our heads up. Three years into the Joe and
- 15:49Speaker 1: Joe era with Joe Mixon and Joe Burrow, two AFC
- 15:52Speaker 1: championship trips and a Super Bowl trip, how excited are
- 15:55Speaker 1: you of what stile to come? All hopes was alive
- 15:58Speaker 1: for you know, to keep continuing to be a dynasty.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And I feel like, you know, with the court, with
- 16:04Speaker 1: the guys that we have in this here at locker room,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I mean, we're just gonna do whatever we can try
- 16:08Speaker 1: to go ahead and keep repeating. That's pretty much about it.
- 16:12Speaker 1: On the other side of the ball, it was a
- 16:14Speaker 1: heroic performance by Patrick Mahomes. Playing with that high ankle sprain.
- 16:19Speaker 1: He threw for three hundred twenty six yards with two touchdowns,
- 16:23Speaker 1: no picks, and a passer rating of one oh five
- 16:26Speaker 1: point four. The Bengals were only able to sack him twice.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Here's DJ Reader, what can you say about Patrick Mahomes.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I mean he looked normal. Yeah, man, hats out there
- 16:38Speaker 1: and he's a hell of a player coming what I said,
- 16:40Speaker 1: you know, throughout the week, he's gonna be out there
- 16:42Speaker 1: and play ball. Get out there, and he did a
- 16:44Speaker 1: great job. Man, They all did a great job just
- 16:47Speaker 1: coming out there fighting for a wind. Put this into
- 16:50Speaker 1: perspective for us. I know it's hard in the immediate
- 16:53Speaker 1: aftermath of coming this close and coming up just a
- 16:55Speaker 1: little bit short, But what emotions are going through your
- 16:58Speaker 1: mind right now? A lot um just ready trying to
- 17:02Speaker 1: comfort the guys make him understand. I don't even know
- 17:06Speaker 1: what to give you, to be honest, right now, I
- 17:08Speaker 1: can't tell you that emotion. You wouldn't understand unless you played,
- 17:12Speaker 1: Unless you've been out there and you've been in those
- 17:14Speaker 1: shoes like you. You don't understand that emotion. You don't
- 17:18Speaker 1: understand fighting that hard, blood, sweat and tears all the time,
- 17:21Speaker 1: and you know, just just become up short. Somebody's got
- 17:23Speaker 1: to do it. You know, it's not just us. There's
- 17:26Speaker 1: another team. He felt like us today, and that's what happens, man,
- 17:29Speaker 1: there's thirty other teams. You feel like us at home.
- 17:33Speaker 1: It's part of this league, and you know you wish
- 17:36Speaker 1: you did enough to get it done, and they gotta
- 17:37Speaker 1: go back out there and next year you gotta go
- 17:40Speaker 1: do your thing. They only scored twenty three. It's hard
- 17:44Speaker 1: to say this after a loss, but did you feel
- 17:46Speaker 1: good about how the defense played overall? You know, I
- 17:49Speaker 1: felt like we could have tightened up in some situations
- 17:51Speaker 1: or they made some places. I don't want to say
- 17:54Speaker 1: we gave him anything, but they made some plays, and
- 17:57Speaker 1: you know, some places we should have been on we weren't.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It happens as a football game man, and they made
- 18:03Speaker 1: a couple more plays than we did. I think they
- 18:04Speaker 1: won the turnover margin, right, they want what they do
- 18:07Speaker 1: win two one two. Yeah, So we got to do
- 18:10Speaker 1: better on defense and get that done. But this is
- 18:13Speaker 1: a game, man, It's a hard, funt battle. You know,
- 18:16Speaker 1: do you want to come out on the winner side
- 18:17Speaker 1: of it? But if you got to watch conference championship,
- 18:19Speaker 1: I can't say we didn't get a people a show,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know, just we got to do better. Back to
- 18:23Speaker 1: back trips to the FC Championship, it's a heck of
- 18:26Speaker 1: a ride for Bengals fans. We appreciate it. Thank you, Yes,

- 18:44Speaker 1: Bengals set a team record by winning ten straight games
- 18:48Speaker 1: and won playoff games and consecutive seasons for the first
- 18:52Speaker 1: time in franchise history. It was a fantastic season for
- 18:56Speaker 1: Zach Taylor's team, and Dave Lapham spent a few minutes
- 19:00Speaker 1: with him after the game. I don't know where to begin.
- 19:03Speaker 1: All I can say is, you have to be so
- 19:07Speaker 1: proud of this football team because you talk about a
- 19:11Speaker 1: physically and mentally tough group. They redefined it. Yeah, it's
- 19:16Speaker 1: it's a special group. I'm proud to have the opportunity
- 19:20Speaker 1: to coach these guys. They fought tooth and nail to
- 19:22Speaker 1: the very last second. We lost for a great football
- 19:24Speaker 1: team today, and you know, it's just it's unfortunate this
- 19:27Speaker 1: season came to an end. But it's been a special run.
- 19:30Speaker 1: It's been a great run, and I appreciate all these
- 19:31Speaker 1: guys have been a part of it. Can you tell
- 19:34Speaker 1: us what you were told about the clock? SNAPf foo
- 19:37Speaker 1: or whatever, whatever the heck you want to call it.
- 19:39Speaker 1: They obviously weren't on the same page down there in
- 19:42Speaker 1: the field. But you guys suffer, you know, I mean,
- 19:44Speaker 1: they take a play away that's never gonna appear anywhere
- 19:47Speaker 1: in NFL history, and you know, replay it down. Well,
- 19:49Speaker 1: what did they tell you something about we wanted the
- 19:53Speaker 1: seven seconds back, so they're replaying it down so we
- 19:54Speaker 1: don't lose the seven seconds. It was a little bit confusing,
- 19:58Speaker 1: but it's we had play it down again, and that's
- 20:01Speaker 1: just the way it goes. But again, you guys, all right,
- 20:04Speaker 1: well one, two, three, we'll do it again. Make him
- 20:06Speaker 1: punt it again. I mean you overcame that as well.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I mean that that was a an unsettling situation, and
- 20:12Speaker 1: you got everybody handles all that stuff so well. I
- 20:15Speaker 1: mean it, how do you get your team to be
- 20:19Speaker 1: so poised and methodical about everything when a hurdles on
- 20:22Speaker 1: your way, they don't blink, you know, and they just
- 20:24Speaker 1: they knock it down and they move on to the
- 20:25Speaker 1: next one. And just unfortunately we weren't able to finish
- 20:29Speaker 1: it off the right way today, Patrick Gohomes. I mean,
- 20:32Speaker 1: they had forty two yards and twenty carries and they said, okay, Patrick,
- 20:36Speaker 1: you're gonna do it. And the guy with the with
- 20:39Speaker 1: the messed up ankle and everything else goes out there
- 20:41Speaker 1: and throws for over three hundred yards and you know,
- 20:43Speaker 1: plays the way he plays. I mean, his legend grows,
- 20:45Speaker 1: doesn't it. He's a great player. You know, we got
- 20:47Speaker 1: a lot of respect for him and the rest of
- 20:48Speaker 1: their team. And again they just made one more play
- 20:51Speaker 1: than we did today, and they get to hear the
- 20:53Speaker 1: Super Bowl and we gotta wrap it up, Coach. I
- 20:57Speaker 1: just want to say that this football team was so
- 21:00Speaker 1: much fun to watch. I mean, gave this city a
- 21:03Speaker 1: lot of thrills. The pride I think that the city
- 21:07Speaker 1: and the community and the region feels for this football
- 21:11Speaker 1: team is obvious to everybody, and you're obviously the biggest
- 21:14Speaker 1: part of that. So there's a lot to be thankful
- 21:18Speaker 1: for and a lot to be proud about. And these
- 21:20Speaker 1: guys later all on the line for you. We take
- 21:23Speaker 1: great pride representing the Cincinnati fan base and love being there,
- 21:29Speaker 1: love representing our fans, love interacting with our fans. Sorry,
- 21:32Speaker 1: we couldn't get it done, but we're gonna fly to
- 21:34Speaker 1: get that done in the future. Now, time for some
- 21:38Speaker 1: postgame analysis in the radio, guys, recap after such a
- 21:43Speaker 1: strange finality. After that, you've got so much anticipation about
- 21:48Speaker 1: the possibility of a return trip to the super Bowl
- 21:50Speaker 1: and wham it's over. What did you think was the
- 21:53Speaker 1: bottom line in this game? I thought it was protection
- 21:57Speaker 1: pressure issues with the over writing thing. I mean, they're good.
- 22:01Speaker 1: They get fifty five sacks during the course of the
- 22:03Speaker 1: season led the AFC, and you know they only give
- 22:08Speaker 1: a twenty six. They're a plus twenty nine best in
- 22:10Speaker 1: the NFL. And it continued. You know, they got more
- 22:15Speaker 1: sacks and pressure than than the Bengals could muster and
- 22:20Speaker 1: affected Joe Burrow a little bit more than they were
- 22:23Speaker 1: able to affect Patrick Mahomes, and I think, you know,
- 22:25Speaker 1: two great players got a tippy captain Patrick Mahomes though
- 22:30Speaker 1: doing what he did is is almost ridiculous without any
- 22:33Speaker 1: running game to support him. You know, twenty carries forty
- 22:36Speaker 1: two yards and then he goes off for over three
- 22:40Speaker 1: hundred and two touchdowns, no turnovers, running around doing things
- 22:44Speaker 1: that he did, and then to close the game out,
- 22:47Speaker 1: his most incredible run of the day was down the stretch.
- 22:52Speaker 1: And then I feel badly for Joseph Pike because he
- 22:54Speaker 1: played a good game, and that one's gonna be a
- 22:57Speaker 1: tough one to get over. That'll be hard to sleep
- 22:59Speaker 1: tonight because he's so smart. He's such a great, you know,
- 23:02Speaker 1: very intelligent player, very aware player, but lost the awareness
- 23:05Speaker 1: warriors in the field. And but you know the thing
- 23:08Speaker 1: is that people have to remember that obviously that was
- 23:11Speaker 1: a big mistake. And you win these kind of games
- 23:14Speaker 1: by making plays and avoiding big mistakes and Homes made
- 23:17Speaker 1: a play and he made a big mistake. So that
- 23:19Speaker 1: was the that was the storyline of that conclusion of
- 23:23Speaker 1: the football game. But there were so many other plays
- 23:25Speaker 1: that during the course of the game. You can point
- 23:27Speaker 1: to a million things. If any one of them in
- 23:29Speaker 1: a different way, wouldn't have been in that situation that
- 23:32Speaker 1: he was in. So that's that's the game of football.
- 23:35Speaker 1: That's life in the game of football. And like you said,
- 23:38Speaker 1: man would it ends. It's like it's like somebody ripped
- 23:42Speaker 1: your heart out. There were uncharacteristic mistakes too, that this
- 23:47Speaker 1: team didn't make during the ten game winning streaks certainly,
- 23:50Speaker 1: and not much during the season. They give up a
- 23:52Speaker 1: long punt return that sets up that final drive. That's
- 23:55Speaker 1: something Cincinnati almost never does. One of the least penalized
- 23:58Speaker 1: teams in the NFL, as you mentioned, which as if
- 24:00Speaker 1: as I makes a mistake in the final minute of
- 24:02Speaker 1: the game. Those are the types of things they simply
- 24:05Speaker 1: did not do, and then when they couldn't do it,
- 24:08Speaker 1: unfortunately made those mistakes right. And it just it shows
- 24:12Speaker 1: you that, you know, I mean, the quality of the
- 24:15Speaker 1: opponent I think has something to do with that. You
- 24:17Speaker 1: end up maybe trying to do a little bit more.
- 24:20Speaker 1: You get outside of yourself a little bit, you know,
- 24:22Speaker 1: maybe maybe trying to do too much, and things kind
- 24:26Speaker 1: of unravel on you a little bit. But um, the thing,
- 24:30Speaker 1: the thing that kept showing up all year long and
- 24:32Speaker 1: in this football game was the mental, mental, and physical toughness.
- 24:36Speaker 1: You know, it's like, all right, well, we didn't get
- 24:39Speaker 1: off to a good start. We've been getting off to
- 24:40Speaker 1: a good start here lately. We didn't today. Let's not panic,
- 24:43Speaker 1: you know, let's not throw Let's not throw game plans
- 24:47Speaker 1: out of the coach's box and having litter in the field.
- 24:49Speaker 1: You know, let's stay with what we're what we're thinking,
- 24:52Speaker 1: but make adjustments. And they always make good adjustments and
- 24:55Speaker 1: get themselves back on track. And this football team is
- 24:58Speaker 1: so mentally and physically to and they believe in their coaches.
- 25:02Speaker 1: The coaches believe in them, and they will themselves into
- 25:05Speaker 1: you know, staying in football games. They really do. It's
- 25:08Speaker 1: it's a very very special group that way. That's that's
- 25:11Speaker 1: really unique. They just nobody gives up on each other, nobody.
- 25:15Speaker 1: And it was a very special thing to watch build
- 25:20Speaker 1: and grow and become you know, kind of like take
- 25:23Speaker 1: on a life of itself in that regard, you know,
- 25:25Speaker 1: that was that was the best part of the year
- 25:26Speaker 1: in my opinion right there. What ifs are meaningless in sports.
- 25:31Speaker 1: But you can't help but wonder if they had the
- 25:34Speaker 1: five offensive linement they had for fifteen games, if the
- 25:36Speaker 1: postseason would have gone differently. I mean, it couldn't have
- 25:38Speaker 1: gone any better against Buffalo, but certainly in the game
- 25:41Speaker 1: against Kansas City. Yeah, you know, it's uh, you do
- 25:45Speaker 1: you can. You can drive yourself crazy with what if
- 25:49Speaker 1: on a bunch of plays, what if on personnel, what
- 25:52Speaker 1: if on on all kinds of things. Um, but you know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: even with all that said, it was it was a
- 26:00Speaker 1: coin flip football game. You know, that's what everybody thought
- 26:02Speaker 1: going in. The oddsmakers thought it was going to be
- 26:05Speaker 1: a dog fight, and it was. I mean, it was.
- 26:07Speaker 1: It lived up to his billing. It was exactly what
- 26:10Speaker 1: everybody thought it would be. So here for a little
- 26:16Speaker 1: a little issue here, a little mistake there, it could
- 26:22Speaker 1: be a totally different to us scenario and be starting
- 26:25Speaker 1: to prepare for the Philadelphia goes. That's the thing I
- 26:27Speaker 1: felt really badly about. You know, in the post game,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I said, you know, I have to ask you this,
- 26:31Speaker 1: and I know it's still raw, but now tomorrow you
- 26:33Speaker 1: have to all your exit interviews and all that. And
- 26:35Speaker 1: they're like, we were planning on game planning for Philadelphia,
- 26:39Speaker 1: and you know, we'll think about that tonight. Well it's
- 26:42Speaker 1: already early in the morning, so I guess they have
- 26:45Speaker 1: those exit interviews tomorrow with the players. And that's always
- 26:50Speaker 1: a tough dynamic, particularly after you know, get your heart
- 26:52Speaker 1: ripped out like this game. But I was fully just
- 26:58Speaker 1: my mind was going to overtime, know, gosh, I hope
- 27:00Speaker 1: they win the coin town and they win the coin toss.
- 27:02Speaker 1: You know, I was thinking about all that stuff, and
- 27:05Speaker 1: I'll be a son of a gun if oh no, Joseph,
- 27:09Speaker 1: Oh no, too bad. I guess one positive out of
- 27:14Speaker 1: this season as a whole is that after the Super
- 27:17Speaker 1: Bowl last year, there was still the impression for some
- 27:20Speaker 1: people at least that there was a bit of a
- 27:23Speaker 1: flukish fast back to last year's Super Bowl run. They
- 27:26Speaker 1: kind of came out of nowhere, you know, won these
- 27:28Speaker 1: games on last second field goals. Nobody feels that way
- 27:31Speaker 1: about the Bengals anymore. They have clearly established that with
- 27:35Speaker 1: Joe Burr at quarterback, Zach Taylor at head coach and
- 27:38Speaker 1: the players that they have on that roster, this is,
- 27:41Speaker 1: without question, one of the best teams in the NFL.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I agree with that, Dan, I mean, I think you know,
- 27:46Speaker 1: last year you can say, you know, shoot, there were
- 27:48Speaker 1: seven and six, you know, around Thanksgiving and had just
- 27:52Speaker 1: gotten handled a couple of times to go to seven
- 27:54Speaker 1: and six. You know, there were seven and four and thought, oh,
- 27:56Speaker 1: I mean, and now they're seven and six and not
- 27:57Speaker 1: doing real well at seven and six, and then they,
- 28:00Speaker 1: you know, turn it on again. That just tells you
- 28:03Speaker 1: that this football team took the lessons learned from the
- 28:07Speaker 1: prior year and applied them and expanded itself. It's a
- 28:12Speaker 1: much better football team than last year's football team. So
- 28:16Speaker 1: guys are a year older, guys have banked all those experiences,
- 28:20Speaker 1: you know, they're so young, and still they're growing and quickly,
- 28:25Speaker 1: and it'll be interesting to see, you know, tweak here,
- 28:29Speaker 1: tweak here. Their personnel wise, it's never the same. This
- 28:32Speaker 1: football team is not the same as last year's football
- 28:34Speaker 1: team personnel wise, and next year's football team won't be either.
- 28:38Speaker 1: But the core, the core is the same, and the
- 28:41Speaker 1: core is pretty damn good and I think the whole
- 28:44Speaker 1: NFL knows now that this team belonged in the final four.
- 28:49Speaker 1: This team was within a whisker going to the Super Bowl,
- 28:52Speaker 1: being one of the final two. And I do think that.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I don't think anybody's like that was a shot, you know,
- 29:02Speaker 1: one hit wonder not anymore. I think they realize just
- 29:06Speaker 1: a real deal there, legit. I was looking forward to
- 29:09Speaker 1: doing another Super Bowl Now. I can't wait for training camp. Really.
- 29:13Speaker 1: I mean it's I felt so bad walking around the
- 29:17Speaker 1: locker room looking at the face. I mean, I can
- 29:19Speaker 1: identify with it. I just I never ever felt as
- 29:24Speaker 1: bad professionally as I did after that Super Bowl that
- 29:27Speaker 1: I played in that we lost. I mean, oh my gosh, man,
- 29:31Speaker 1: the pit in your stomach. I mean, you know, losing
- 29:35Speaker 1: family members, friends, close friends, all that is. It's a
- 29:38Speaker 1: different kind of, you know, low feeling. But man, professionally,
- 29:45Speaker 1: nothing's even close to losing that Super Bowl, not even close.
- 29:50Speaker 1: The Bengals Booth Podcast is brought to you by Bengals

- 29:55Speaker 1: and signed merchandise up for grabs. Find both inside the
- 30:00Speaker 1: Bengals app. Finally, it's time for this week's fun Facts interview,
- 30:04Speaker 1: where you get to know the person under the pads.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Time for some fun facts with Bengals offensive lineman Trey Hill.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Trey in this case is short for Dean Tree. Does
- 30:17Speaker 1: anybody in your life call you Deantre? Maybe teachers when
- 30:22Speaker 1: I was in high school, but anybody else, It's just
- 30:25Speaker 1: been ture. So Trey, it sounds like you're from a
- 30:28Speaker 1: big family. How many brothers and sisters do you have?
- 30:30Speaker 1: And where do you fall on the totem pole? Three brothers,
- 30:33Speaker 1: two sisters, and I'm the last one. I'm the last boy. Now,
- 30:37Speaker 1: based on what I've read, your older brothers were instrumental
- 30:40Speaker 1: in helping you ultimately get to the NFL. How did
- 30:44Speaker 1: they motivate and push you? M just about the things
- 30:46Speaker 1: they did to help that they gave me. Just coming
- 30:49Speaker 1: out of high school, I enter into college and just
- 30:53Speaker 1: seeing both the day life stores each and every day
- 30:55Speaker 1: just pushed me and motivated me to finish the deal
- 30:58Speaker 1: to get to the NFL. You're six four three thirty five,
- 31:02Speaker 1: but there's footage of you on the internet as a
- 31:05Speaker 1: peewee football player where you were running back. It's hysterical.
- 31:10Speaker 1: You look like a grown man with ten year old kids.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Did the parents from the other teams complain every week?
- 31:18Speaker 1: It was a complaint. You need Jacobs Burson tificate all that,
- 31:21Speaker 1: so I got all that. You're from Warner Robbins, Georgia,
- 31:25Speaker 1: south of Macon. There's a big Air Force base there.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Describe your hometown and some of the things you like
- 31:30Speaker 1: to do when you were growing up. Oh, actually, I'm
- 31:33Speaker 1: not from there. I just went to school there from
- 31:37Speaker 1: ten to twelfth grade. But I'm from making Counter, small town,
- 31:41Speaker 1: probably a Mexo five to ten thousand people, So I'll
- 31:46Speaker 1: stay in the country. Dirt rolls, things of that nature,
- 31:49Speaker 1: so it's pretty nice out there. There's really not a
- 31:53Speaker 1: lot to do. But as I'll go up, are you
- 31:56Speaker 1: an outdoorsman? Do you like hunting and fishing and things
- 31:59Speaker 1: like that. I love fish for bass, bram crappy, all
- 32:03Speaker 1: of that. I have never been deep sea fishing though.
- 32:05Speaker 1: That's one thing I'm looking to ax off my list
- 32:08Speaker 1: this offseason. You were a high school All American and
- 32:12Speaker 1: one of the top offensive line recruits in the country.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Did you enjoy the attention from college football coaches or
- 32:18Speaker 1: was it stressful? It wasn't stressful. I just knew at
- 32:22Speaker 1: the end of the day it was all business. And
- 32:25Speaker 1: you know, as you want you recruit things of that nature,
- 32:28Speaker 1: they're gonna love all you and do anything to get
- 32:31Speaker 1: you and want you. There's basically like, I mean, you're
- 32:34Speaker 1: part of the team now, so they don't really have
- 32:36Speaker 1: to do all the hugging, kissing up to you, none
- 32:38Speaker 1: of that at that point. Just you're trying to play
- 32:40Speaker 1: ball and to get to where I'm at today. So
- 32:43Speaker 1: during the recruiting process, I mean I took it in.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I took the love all of that in, but at
- 32:47Speaker 1: the end of the day, I knew it was all business.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I like to save stuff. Have your parents saved all
- 32:53Speaker 1: the mail that you received that they're big boxes of
- 32:56Speaker 1: stuff from every college football program in the country. Yeah,
- 32:59Speaker 1: I got all the boxes. All everything is at my
- 33:01Speaker 1: mom's house with the boxes, the jerseys, the everything. So
- 33:07Speaker 1: we're visiting the tray hill. So when it came time
- 33:10Speaker 1: to pick your school, you did it in a video.
- 33:13Speaker 1: You can still see this on YouTube. There's dramatic music playing,
- 33:17Speaker 1: You're lifting weights, you're dripping sweat, you're breathing heavily, and
- 33:22Speaker 1: then at the end you simply say, go dogs. Give
- 33:26Speaker 1: me the backstory, who came up with the concept and
- 33:28Speaker 1: how did you make the video? There comes to obviously
- 33:32Speaker 1: from my trainer to god, I still training with Brent Allen.
- 33:36Speaker 1: It's basically reper cuff, working hard every day and just
- 33:40Speaker 1: you know the grind that we do every day. You know,
- 33:43Speaker 1: not no nothing, no crazy video or not like that,
- 33:45Speaker 1: just the thing that we do every day to accomplish
- 33:48Speaker 1: that goal. So that's what the video is about. If
- 33:52Speaker 1: you search Tray Hill on Google, there are a million
- 33:56Speaker 1: things that come back about choosing Georgia that my step
- 33:59Speaker 1: been a huge deal where you're from. Yeah, it was huge, dude,
- 34:04Speaker 1: because of my hometown, home state. Obviously, I wouldn't stay home.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I wouldn't stay close to my parents. So I'm traveling
- 34:11Speaker 1: and not a problem for me, but at that time,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I just felt the need to stay home. You enrolled
- 34:16Speaker 1: early at Georgia January of what would have been your
- 34:20Speaker 1: senior year of high school. See you mess out on
- 34:22Speaker 1: some high school activities when you do that? Was that difficult?
- 34:25Speaker 1: Oh not at all. I was a later back person.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I didn't go to prom, so it was the perfect
- 34:31Speaker 1: opportunity for me to get in college. Really, but my
- 34:34Speaker 1: whole plan was coming out of high school due three,
- 34:36Speaker 1: can get out of three. So I did that, and
- 34:39Speaker 1: I'm thankful for that. You did that and earned your
- 34:42Speaker 1: degree in three years. How hard did you work academically
- 34:45Speaker 1: to pull that off? I worked very hard. A great
- 34:48Speaker 1: thing about it the college class courses that took my
- 34:51Speaker 1: last semester of high school, which was my first semester
- 34:54Speaker 1: of my twelfth grade year, they counted when I got
- 34:57Speaker 1: to college, so that was a blessing for me. I
- 35:00Speaker 1: just wrote it on up basically telling them, I'm like,
- 35:03Speaker 1: I don't wan't know. If it ain't got nothing to
- 35:05Speaker 1: do my major, I didn't want to be in there.
- 35:07Speaker 1: So that's how I got through that. It's quite an accomplishment.
- 35:10Speaker 1: We're visiting the Trey Hill. On April twenty seventh, twenty seventeen,
- 35:15Speaker 1: you tweeted something that still pinned at the top of
- 35:18Speaker 1: your Twitter account. Here's the quote, four more years from today,
- 35:22Speaker 1: I'm changing my family's lives and that's on me. You
- 35:26Speaker 1: only missed by two days. April twenty ninth, twenty twenty one,
- 35:30Speaker 1: you were drafted by the Bengals in the sixth round.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Describe your draft experience and making that dream come true.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Oh listen, man, just to hear your name call an
- 35:41Speaker 1: NFL draft, you know, it's a dream come true something
- 35:45Speaker 1: I've been one as a little kid, and I got it.
- 35:47Speaker 1: But obviously the work still not done and I'm still
- 35:51Speaker 1: striving for more each and every day. So how did
- 35:55Speaker 1: you watch the draft and where were you when you
- 35:57Speaker 1: got the call? I was at home with my parents,
- 36:00Speaker 1: my people, everybody came out. Yeah, I was with them
- 36:04Speaker 1: having a good time. Who was basically just waiting for
- 36:07Speaker 1: the call and we got it and everything, I mean,
- 36:10Speaker 1: everything been a blessing every since. So last year as
- 36:14Speaker 1: a rookie, you started three games. You played in all
- 36:16Speaker 1: four postseason games, including the super Bowl. That's a pretty
- 36:20Speaker 1: impressive rookie year. Describe who was at the super Bowl
- 36:24Speaker 1: and what it was like for you to come charging
- 36:25Speaker 1: out of that tunnel at Sofi Stadium. It was surreal.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Mom and Dad was there. Who was just surreal because
- 36:32Speaker 1: just highest level and they don't get no buriered in this.
- 36:36Speaker 1: So just coming out to tunnel and experienced that feeling,
- 36:39Speaker 1: the atmosphere and all the fans being there, there was
- 36:42Speaker 1: a blessing to be out there and looking forward to
- 36:44Speaker 1: get back there this year. So you're alma mater has
- 36:47Speaker 1: won the last two college football national championships. Those are
- 36:51Speaker 1: still your guys. A lot of your former teammates helped
- 36:54Speaker 1: the Bulldogs win those two titles. Have you made it
- 36:56Speaker 1: back to a game, and what's it been like for
- 36:58Speaker 1: you the last few years to be a and at
- 37:00Speaker 1: the former Boltogen It's been nice to just sit back
- 37:03Speaker 1: and look at them play because I never got to
- 37:05Speaker 1: see that side of it when I was there, so
- 37:07Speaker 1: to just you know, sit back, look at what those
- 37:10Speaker 1: guys doing. And you know, some of those guys call
- 37:13Speaker 1: them from time to time and you know ask me
- 37:15Speaker 1: questions like what can they implement in their game or
- 37:18Speaker 1: how can they get better at this and that? And
- 37:19Speaker 1: obviously I tell them because those my guys, and hopefully
- 37:22Speaker 1: they'll get to this level. All right. A few wild
- 37:25Speaker 1: card topics now for Bengals offensive lineman Trey Hill. Who
- 37:29Speaker 1: is your all time favorite athlete in any sport? And
- 37:33Speaker 1: why I don't really think I have a all time
- 37:37Speaker 1: it's afterte I was more of a guy just looking
- 37:40Speaker 1: at everybody and getting nick knacked things from this person
- 37:44Speaker 1: and that person, and you know, just trying to implement
- 37:47Speaker 1: into my game football wise, But when I look at
- 37:50Speaker 1: like other sports, I mean, yeah, I'm a fan of
- 37:52Speaker 1: the sport, but I don't think I just got a
- 37:54Speaker 1: favorite player. What's the toughest part about being your size
- 37:59Speaker 1: in normal old life? I would say flights if I
- 38:04Speaker 1: sit in the regular seats, because that can be a
- 38:07Speaker 1: little uncomfortable. But if I sit in first class, obviously
- 38:11Speaker 1: that's a good flight for me. But yeah, that's uncomfortable
- 38:14Speaker 1: to sit in the regular flight seat for sure. Do
- 38:17Speaker 1: you have any hidden talents? Hitting talents? So I don't
- 38:21Speaker 1: know if they're hitting. But I played basketball, baseball, and
- 38:26Speaker 1: I did track, shot put disc but I don't think
- 38:29Speaker 1: that's a hidden talent. There's a basketball hoop in the
- 38:32Speaker 1: Bengals facility. Do you hoop it out put teammates? Yeah,
- 38:35Speaker 1: all the time. Last year I used to shoot around
- 38:39Speaker 1: a lot with Deontay Smith and Isaiah and Quentinn Spain.
- 38:45Speaker 1: That was our weekly routine, so we did that every
- 38:48Speaker 1: week before the game. What do you like to spend
- 38:50Speaker 1: your money on. I've been getting into properties lately, so
- 38:54Speaker 1: that's been a good thing for many stocks. But other
- 38:58Speaker 1: than you know, spending money to make money, I'll probably
- 39:01Speaker 1: say shoes. Well, if you're purchasing properties, it sounds like
- 39:05Speaker 1: you have an eye on your post football career. Definitely,
- 39:09Speaker 1: like I gotta you gotta have longevity in this career area.
- 39:14Speaker 1: You know, I'm not the type that's trying to get
- 39:16Speaker 1: down with football. And if to jump straight into a job,
- 39:20Speaker 1: if anything, I want to you know, we jump straight
- 39:22Speaker 1: into being my own boss, doing my own stuff. So
- 39:25Speaker 1: that's what I'm looking forward to. And it's, you know,
- 39:28Speaker 1: in the future with my money, putting that George education
- 39:31Speaker 1: to you. So I like it. Final fun fact, this
- 39:33Speaker 1: one's kind of deep. If you could meet anybody in history, athlete, entertainer, statesman,
- 39:42Speaker 1: whoever it might be, who would that be, Oh, I'll
- 39:46Speaker 1: probably say Albert Einstein, just to pick his brain, get
- 39:50Speaker 1: his knowledge about everything you thought about, because that was
- 39:53Speaker 1: one person that really thunk outside of the box. So
- 39:57Speaker 1: you have to get his knowledge, pick his brain. That'll
- 39:59Speaker 1: be a good than to do. I like that, Trey Hill,
- 40:02Speaker 1: hanging out with Albert Einstein. That's an excellent answer. I
- 40:05Speaker 1: appreciate your time, Thank you so much, best of luck.
