- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking up where we
- 0:06Speaker 1: left off with the New Mexico in our own report
- 0:10Speaker 1: about Jeffrey Epstein and Zoro Ranch. Zoro Ranch contractors Epstein
- 0:16Speaker 1: through ZDC, with oversight by Bryce Gordon, sometimes retain contractors
- 0:21Speaker 1: to perform seasonal, temporary, or specialized work at the ranch.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Some of this work is documented or otherwise reflected in
- 0:29Speaker 1: documentation available under the EFTA and other sources. To date,
- 0:34Speaker 1: the Commission has been able to identify or partially identify
- 0:38Speaker 1: some of these contractors, who include Casey Cook. Casey Cook
- 0:44Speaker 1: is a hydro geologist retained between twenty twelve and at
- 0:48Speaker 1: least twenty eighteen to assess and offer recommendations regarding Zoro
- 0:52Speaker 1: Ranch water distribution capabilities. She entered into a well drilling
- 0:57Speaker 1: contract with ZDC in July of twenty twelve. Mike Mike
- 1:02Speaker 1: was assigned the task of sketching shelves in the massage
- 1:05Speaker 1: room and sending them to Epstein. It's not clear what
- 1:08Speaker 1: year these tasks were assigned, but the task list appears
- 1:11Speaker 1: to cover a four month period of time. Mike and
- 1:14Speaker 1: Jeff were assigned the task of hanging picture lights ordered
- 1:17Speaker 1: for the residents. Purchase seventy inch picture light is needed
- 1:21Speaker 1: for the painting of the girl in the main stair hall.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Order four thirty inch lights per GM. Another assigned task
- 1:29Speaker 1: was purchase fifty two inch picture light of the girl
- 1:33Speaker 1: in the Princess staircase. Jeff Jeff was assigned the following task.
- 1:38Speaker 1: When painting of the Spanish nude with black hair arrives,
- 1:41Speaker 1: it's to be hung in front of the telescope. Send
- 1:44Speaker 1: pictures to jay E. First unidentified reflexologist nam redacted. This
- 1:50Speaker 1: unidentified reflexologist was retained to perform reflexology services on Epstein
- 1:56Speaker 1: and Maxwell between ninety nine and two thousand and eight.
- 2:00Speaker 1: The reflexologist did not go to the ranch regularly, only
- 2:03Speaker 1: whenever they were in town, and a total of approximately
- 2:07Speaker 1: thirty times over nine years. The reflexologist worked primarily on
- 2:12Speaker 1: Maxwell and only three times on Epstein over the course
- 2:15Speaker 1: of nine years. At some point, Maxwell or a housekeeper
- 2:19Speaker 1: asked the reflexologist to sign a non disclosure agreement, but
- 2:23Speaker 1: she refused to do it. On subsequent visits to the ranch,
- 2:27Speaker 1: she was asked to sign the non disclosure agreement, but
- 2:30Speaker 1: refused to do so and eventually decided not to go
- 2:33Speaker 1: back to the ranch after learning of Epstein's two thousand
- 2:36Speaker 1: and eight arrest travel to the ranch flight logs. Flight
- 2:41Speaker 1: logs reflect a total of two hundred and twenty seven
- 2:43Speaker 1: flights occurring between December third, nineteen ninety two, and May
- 2:47Speaker 1: twenty seventh, twenty nineteen, tour from Albuquerque and Santa Fe
- 2:52Speaker 1: on aircraft hon by Epstein. Of these, one hundred and
- 2:55Speaker 1: ten flights were flights too or from Albuquerque and one
- 2:59Speaker 1: hundred nineteen flights to or from Santa Fe. Logs include
- 3:03Speaker 1: information about the origin of the flights, the destination, the
- 3:07Speaker 1: date the aircraft used, the pilots and passengers on each flight.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It cannot be assumed that information on the flight logs
- 3:15Speaker 1: are complete or accurate, as it appears in many cases
- 3:18Speaker 1: that information was omitted. For example, flight logs for eighty
- 3:22Speaker 1: of the flights include no passenger information. Origin of flights
- 3:26Speaker 1: include airports from New York, New Jersey, Palm Beach, Florida,
- 3:30Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands, Los Angeles, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Seattle, and Spokane,
- 3:37Speaker 1: Saint Louis, Missouri. In the Indianapolis Columbus, Tucson, Salt Lake City,
- 3:42Speaker 1: San Jose, Aspen, and Honolulu. Flight logs reflect that Epstein
- 3:47Speaker 1: was a passenger on one hundred and forty of the flights.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Maxwell shown to be a passenger on ninety four of
- 3:52Speaker 1: the flights. Other frequent flyers include Sarah Kellen forty four flights,
- 3:57Speaker 1: Marsenkova twenty one flights, Leslie Groff on five flights. Other
- 4:03Speaker 1: notable flight passengers include Bill Clinton one flight, Bill Richardson
- 4:07Speaker 1: five flights, and Woody Allen and SUNNYE. Previn two flights.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Additional information would be necessary to establish whether any of
- 4:15Speaker 1: those passengers involved visited Zoro Ranch. Bill Clinton has a
- 4:19Speaker 1: big problem. I've told you from the beginning. He lied,
- 4:24Speaker 1: he did, he was at the ranch. So what's he
- 4:27Speaker 1: lying about and why? The Commission continues to review records
- 4:32Speaker 1: and may revise the facts stated above, especially should the
- 4:35Speaker 1: Commission receive documentation from the FAA Zoro Ranch visitors. Information
- 4:42Speaker 1: about persons who visited Zoro Ranch as guests of Epstein
- 4:45Speaker 1: is drawn primarily from flight logs and email correspondents. As noted,
- 4:50Speaker 1: the flight logs and email correspondents are incomplete and sometimes
- 4:54Speaker 1: inaccurate email correspondents document coordination of visits to Zoro Ranch
- 5:00Speaker 1: by several notable individuals. These emails confirm scheduling or travel arrangements,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but are insufficient in themselves to document what occurred during
- 5:09Speaker 1: the visits. Available documentation captures only visitors whose names appear
- 5:14Speaker 1: on the flight logs, in Epstein's email archive or in
- 5:17Speaker 1: legal filings. Visitors who arrived without email coordination, who visited
- 5:22Speaker 1: before two thousand and nine, or whose names were adacted
- 5:25Speaker 1: are not represented. The Commission subpoena power may surface a
- 5:29Speaker 1: more complete record. Flight logs alone may be insufficient to
- 5:33Speaker 1: prove a person visited Zoro Ranch, but may corroborate scheduling
- 5:37Speaker 1: information found in Epstein's email. Firearms on Zoro Ranch. Available
- 5:44Speaker 1: documentation indicates that Epstein was in possession of firearms both
- 5:49Speaker 1: before and after his two thousand and eight Florida felony
- 5:52Speaker 1: conviction for solicitation of a prostitute, which would have been
- 5:56Speaker 1: a federal and stay crime. The evidence further sho shows
- 6:00Speaker 1: that Epstein maintained an exercise positive control of firearms on
- 6:04Speaker 1: Zoro Ranch at a time when he was a convicted felon.
- 6:09Speaker 1: This implicates possible violation of US Code eighteen, Section nine
- 6:13Speaker 1: twenty two G one and NMSA Section thirty seven DASH
- 6:18Speaker 1: sixteen B two thousand and nine. The EFTA documentation includes
- 6:23Speaker 1: a July twenty nineteen policy and title Policies and Protocol
- 6:27Speaker 1: for Possessions of Firearm and Ammunition by Security Staff, applicable
- 6:32Speaker 1: to security officers either directly or indirectly employed to secure
- 6:37Speaker 1: persons or property of Jeffrey Epstein. The policy establishes procedure
- 6:41Speaker 1: to ensure that Epstein is not a possession of a firearm.
- 6:45Speaker 1: The policy expressly states mister Epstein is a convicted felon,
- 6:49Speaker 1: having been convicted in the state of Florida, a violation
- 6:53Speaker 1: of Florida Statute Section seven ninety six three secondary Felony
- 6:58Speaker 1: and section seven ninety six seven four to C three
- 7:03Speaker 1: third degree felony. The policy goes on to state it's
- 7:07Speaker 1: a Class C federal crime for a convicted felon to
- 7:10Speaker 1: knowingly possess a firearm or ammunition. Up until twenty sixteen,
- 7:15Speaker 1: a shooting range was in operation at Zoro Ranch until
- 7:18Speaker 1: it was dismantled to make way for an expanded irrigation pond.
- 7:22Speaker 1: A staff project list dated January first, twenty fourteen, includes
- 7:27Speaker 1: a task for shooting range to replace plywood on targets,
- 7:31Speaker 1: paint targets, edges, and bumpers. Emails show guests with Epstein's
- 7:35Speaker 1: knowledge utilize the shooting range. In a September twenty ninth,
- 7:39Speaker 1: two thousand and nine email to Epstein, his childhood friend
- 7:42Speaker 1: Warren Eisenstein tells Epstein later, I'll meet Manalito at the
- 7:46Speaker 1: shooting range for some bang bang fun. Epstein personally directed
- 7:51Speaker 1: storage and maintenance of the firearms. In a June eighth,
- 7:54Speaker 1: twenty ten email to Bryce Gordon, Epstein expressly approved Gordon's
- 7:58Speaker 1: recommendation to relocate the gun safe in firearms from the
- 8:02Speaker 1: main house in shooting range to Larry's garage approaches. This
- 8:07Speaker 1: land is deeded to Larry. Therefore guns have been removed
- 8:10Speaker 1: from your property. March tenth, twenty eleven, email from Epstein
- 8:16Speaker 1: to a person whose name was redacted states, this email
- 8:19Speaker 1: will confirm our conversation the houseman who lives in the
- 8:23Speaker 1: staff house being allowed to have a firearm. It will
- 8:26Speaker 1: not be in the main house or in my possession
- 8:28Speaker 1: as we discussed, due to the conviction felony. The email
- 8:32Speaker 1: strongly suggests Epstein was aware he cannot lawfully possess a firearm.
- 8:37Speaker 1: By a memorandum dated October twenty fifth, twenty eleven, Kalin Vogel,
- 8:41Speaker 1: an attorney with the Virgin Islands law firm of Hodges
- 8:44Speaker 1: and Franchois, prepared a legal analysis for Indyke regarding firearm
- 8:49Speaker 1: ownership by Epstein's employees. The memo addresses US Code eighteen,
- 8:53Speaker 1: Section nine twenty two g one and whether in Epstein
- 8:56Speaker 1: employee who resided on Epstein's Little Saint James, may possess
- 9:01Speaker 1: a firearm for his personal use. The analysis green lights
- 9:05Speaker 1: the possession, but in doing so distinguishes personal use from
- 9:09Speaker 1: use incident to employment. In the latter case, the memorandum
- 9:13Speaker 1: makes clear possession is not authorized. However, the firearm cannot
- 9:17Speaker 1: be used or in any way supported by the covered employer.
- 9:21Speaker 1: The covered employer cannot in any way direct the use
- 9:24Speaker 1: of the firearm. The employer cannot require the employee to
- 9:27Speaker 1: possess a firearm. The employee cannot take any direction from
- 9:31Speaker 1: the covered employer with respect to the firearm. On October
- 9:35Speaker 1: twenty eight, twenty fourteen, Epstein wrote in an email, if
- 9:39Speaker 1: the person carrying a gun is an employee, there might
- 9:42Speaker 1: be an issue. Notwithstanding the legal guidance he received and
- 9:46Speaker 1: the clear understanding of the applicable restrictions, Epstein continued to
- 9:50Speaker 1: exercise control of firearms Azora Ranch. A standing order required
- 9:55Speaker 1: the staff to make visual check of gun cabinet every morning,
- 9:59Speaker 1: to check gun an ammunition inventory every two weeks, and
- 10:02Speaker 1: to check gun cabinet every month. Two gun cabinets on
- 10:06Speaker 1: Zoro Ranch were listed in June as being insured by
- 10:09Speaker 1: Epstein for fifty seven thousand, five hundred and twenty nine dollars.
- 10:14Speaker 1: In August of that year, Bryce Gordon sought Epstein's approval
- 10:17Speaker 1: to ship shooting supplies to Zoro Ranch. On June fifteenth,
- 10:21Speaker 1: twenty fifteen, Epstein reviewed the status of work done installing
- 10:26Speaker 1: gun cabinet panels leather inserts in the movie room. On
- 10:30Speaker 1: August twenty eighth, twenty eighteen, Con forwarded Epstein an email
- 10:34Speaker 1: he had received from Bryce Gordon describing recent inventory of
- 10:37Speaker 1: a gun safe on Zoro Ranch. The inventory was taken
- 10:41Speaker 1: following us theft of firearms that had recently occurred. I
- 10:45Speaker 1: just wanted to give everyone a rundown of what I
- 10:47Speaker 1: have done with the gun safe and its contents. Cynthia
- 10:50Speaker 1: and I looked at each gun and compared serial numbers
- 10:54Speaker 1: and photos to what was already documented in the inventory list.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Included in the attachment with this email will be another
- 11:02Speaker 1: copy of the inventory list, which will have the guns
- 11:04Speaker 1: we found crossed out and check marked. We took additional
- 11:08Speaker 1: photos of the guns with serial numbers, make and model
- 11:12Speaker 1: if it was available, reference the existing inventory list. Epstein's
- 11:17Speaker 1: apparent interest in the status and whereabouts of the firearms
- 11:20Speaker 1: he owned may constitute a level of control constituting possession
- 11:24Speaker 1: of firearms and violation of state and federal law. Additional
- 11:28Speaker 1: investigation will be necessary to determine whether Epstein unlawfully possessed firearms.
- 11:34Speaker 1: All right, folks, we're going to wrap up right here,
- 11:36Speaker 1: and in the next episode, we're going to pick up
- 11:38Speaker 1: where we left off. All the information that goes with
- 11:41Speaker 1: this episode can be found in the description box.
