- Chris Laker: I completely forgot yesterday to acknowledge Yam Kippur. And then not that long ago I also missed Rosh Hashanah. So to all my Jewish friends, Happy New Year and I'm sorry. I'm a day late on the atonement, which I think is appropriate for atonement. it's even better because y everybody was sorry yesterday, then I'm sorry about yesterday. Today. But Rosh Hashanah, that was on nine eleven. So I was busy never forgetting nine eleven. and it was a big nine eleven, twenty five years of nine eleven. we didn't think we could make it that far. And yesterday was also Earth, Wind and Fire, September Day. also didn't remember that, that it's the twenty first day of September in the song September. but that's not a holiday. It's okay. Earth, wind, and fire doesn't mind. You can play that song all September long. whatever day it is in September, I feel like it's about that day. But I do want to acknowledge Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur because Jacqueline is Jewish and I love to use Yiddish words and phrases that I've picked up from curb your enthusiasm. I'm kind of curb your. enthusiasm Jewish. I've culturally appropriated, which is probably wrong. around whatever time of year that is, when the Orthodox Jews come up to people on the street in New York and say, Are you Jewish? Are you Jewish? I always want to say yes. I do take it as a compliment that they asked me that I'm Jewish. They feel like I could be. one time I said no, but I'm a big fan, and they gave me nothing on that. I thought it was a fun joke. He didn't enjoy it. I might have just got a guy, you know, he might have just been in a mood. He's in his head. He's going up to strangers asking if they're Jewish. That's tough, tough gig. Yesterday for Yom Kippur, I did go see a performance from notable Jewish artist Mike D. I discovered Mike D with his new album, Thank You. I said, here's a new artist. I'm enjoying this music. Let me help out a new artist. Let me get tickets to this show. And then I find out, no, he's old and he's from a group called the Beastie Boys that people loved in the nineties and then the eighties. I think maybe my dad was into the Beastie Boys. I never really heard any Beastie Boys music. I'm young, he has a youthful voice. He sounds young, Mike D, but he's but he's old. And he performs with his sons. I think they're both DJs in the band, which seems like too many DJs. He d just wants to spend time with his children. But great band. I like to pretend I'm young. So go along with me not knowing the beastie voice. Just go along with that. So people th yeah, he must be young. I only know the Yeastie Boys. The bagel truck that's around LA on the side of the truck it says bagels lox something and other shit. It's just other they put shit on the truck like, hey, we're cool bagels. We curse on our truck. That makes me think you don't got good bagels. And I love to curse. Nothing against cursing. I'm not a clean comedian. Nothing against clean comedians. clean comedians look down on non clean comedians a little bit. They don't say that they do but they but they do. something about it on the side of the truck it's a little forced. you had it painted onto the side of the truck. it's making me not want to eat your bagel. All right, let's get into the news. once again, I'm sorry about Yom Kippur and I'm sorry for everything else. I'm sorry for this show. Well, no, I put a lot more work into this show. Every time I hear it when I'm editing this, I fucking ugh hate it. looks maxing influencer clavicular charged with rape in Massachusetts. I have not read the allegations, I'm assuming they're true. He was everywhere for about two weeks. I don't know, what was that, a few months back? The first I heard of him was when he was singing Hal Hitler, the Kanye West song Hal Hitler in some party bus in Miami, everybody's interviewing him about his cosmetic surgery and I don't know, 'cause he was crazy, and now possibly a rapist, which means he will be a speaker at the next Republican convention. Hayden Panettiere died from toxic effects of fentanyl and other drugs. That is really sad. Stay away from fentanyl. Stay away from drugs. Drugs are bad. I know. I'm an addict. I can't do any drugs. Some people can do some drugs and enjoy themselves. But even then, eventually, you gotta get just stay away. At least stay away from fentanyl. That's hard, I guess. It must be really good because people ruin their lives off of it. So I'm never gonna try it. Somebody offers me fentanyl, I say, no, thank you. It's never been offered to me. I don't hang out with anybody who does fentanyl, I don't think. you can sneak a lot of drugs. Fentanyl I don't think you can. Even people on heroin can hang out sometimes. I mean, not if they're like I'm really whacked out, but I've hung out with people on heroin and they'll deny it. Be like you kinda look like you're on heroin. No, I'm just itchy. Yeah. This is like when I went to twelve step meetings. This isn't currently. I'm not hanging out with people on heroin. I'm not that cool anymore. But not that it's cool to be on heroin. I'm saying it's cool to hang out with people on heroin. Whatever. drugs are not cool. But it's very sad. Hayden Panettiere sounds like she went through a lot of trauma that's really what gets people. So if you are experiencing trauma and having problems with drugs, go to Hulu Cares and I think they'll straighten you out. I've never gone to the Hulu Cares website. I should do that before I send people there. Get help. Get professional help. Don't go to Hulu Cares. I'm joking. I some people take my advice very seriously on this show because I'm a journalist. Jaw dropping El Nino burst through temperature record. Months before peak. This El Nino, it is coming for California and other places. I'm in California, so that's what I'm worried about. And if some people feel like they're being discriminated against maybe that's happening, but it's not coming from the top. It's definitely not coming from Elon Musk, who lobbied to the president to allow in white South Africans as refugees because of what he calls white genocide in South Africa. Definitely has nothing to do with that. might not have anything do with that because I don't think he does anything as a CEO. In my opinion, I think he just hangs around and does drugs and collects money and somebody else runs shit. I d don't think he CEO's really anything. He got money from PayPal early on and has been buying shit with that money and failed upwards for many years. And I do think he's in my opinion a racist piece of shit. I was being sarcastic before if that wasn't coming through. British Columbia sues OpenAI and Sam Altman over Tumblr Ridge Mass School shooting. The shooter planned the shooting using ChatGPT, and they flagged his activity at some point and then nothing happened. People talk too much of Chat GPT to begin with. I've never used ChatGPT in particular. Any AI shit I've used comes up because you Google something, there's AI in there. There's AI built in a lot of software But I've never had a conversation with AI like I'm talking to it like it's a person or asking it for advice on how to do something. once you start talking to a chat bot about killing people, was another kid that talked about killing himself. Once there's death involved in the chatbot conversation Yeah, call the police or whate I don't know. It's supposed to be private, but once you start talking to the chatbot about mass shooting, I guess that's when the privacy can be broken That's why I would never have a conversation with a chatbot about anything why would I assume privacy? It's not a priest. I wouldn't assume privacy with a priest. You think they don't talk about confessions between each other? They're not allowed to. if I was a priest I would be swapping confession stories. you think priests don't swap confession stories?
